All righty then. [upbeat music] Johnny Quest is right. [upbeat music] [crowd cheering] Oh.
• 0:29
Yeah, man. [crowd cheering] Oh, feeling better already. I got the crickets last week. Uh-huh, yeah. Got the applause this week. [laughs] Is the road caster becoming self-aware? I just hit it with my- Skyn it?
• 0:45
Hit it with my finger. Ah, gotcha. Oh, we could get the, uh... [record scratch] Oh. Should probably do that at the beginning. [laughs] A little record scratch action. At first, I didn't, didn't know if that was- [laughs]
• 1:00
Didn't know if that was me. [laughs] Er, rerr. Hey, everybody. It's, uh, Full Spectrum Cycling. This is show number 316. Yeah, 316. Austin 3:16, I just kicked your ass. Yeah. Tssh.
• 1:17
Old WWF stuff. Oh. WWE, whatever. I heard that WWE just got... Did they just get boughted by, uh, ESPN? Sure. Yeah. Something. Yeah. Yeah. NFL Network, whatever, whatever. The media giant is taking over. Oh, yeah.
• 1:30
And then- Which is all right... everything has a pocket in everything, you know? Um- Because one of the co-owners is, uh, Department of, Secretary of Department of Education, Linda. Oh, yeah. Right.
• 1:44
So there's always enrichment- Yes... and schemes. Well, it's getting a little bit tiring trying to figure out where to watch professional cycle racing,
• 1:54
and, uh, you know, there's, like, three or four different spots you would have to subscribe to if you wanted to see everything, and it's like- Right...
• 2:01
let's stick it all in one place on a Saturday afternoon, call it Wide World of Sports. That's what I'm saying. ESPN, every sport possibly known. K. I know. [laughs] But whatever. Good.
• 2:12
[laughs] Just ro- buzz through it, and we'll- Connellsville... uh. Well, I did used to like Wide World of Sports when that was basically the only thing except the odd bowling for dollars or baseball- Oh, yeah...
• 2:23
game you might get on, on the TV on the weekends. Yeah. Well, WGN- I did-... Superstation was always even, I mean, not that I had to be a Cubs fan or anything, but it was like, hey, baseball in the- Yeah...
• 2:34
  afternoon after school. Yeah. Yeah.
• 2:36
Uh, you know, when, uh, when they just highlighted all of the odd sports around the world and, and you could see it, like, twice a year or you got the wrap-up of the Tour de France in, like, an hour and a half, that was, that was cool.
• 2:51
I just was like... It exposed me to a lot of sports I never would've had any idea existed. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. And- And the agony of defeat. Oh, that's such a s- great shot of the, the crash on the- Ragdoll.
• 3:04
[laughs] On the crash on the ski jump hill. I know. I get a little PTSD just looking at it. [laughs] Yeah. Like... Yeah... "... Is that what I look like?" [laughs] Oh.
• 3:14
[laughs] I would never, ever go down one of those things. Hell no. Hell no. No, no. There's a couple... Uh, there's one that, an old one, I don't know if the actual jump is still there. There was one in Door County.
• 3:28
[laughs] Um, but yeah, not doing that. No. Thank you very much. Have a nice day. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I went on a freaking Ferris wheel last weekend, and that was enough. Oh, did you go to the state fair? No.
• 3:42
Oh. I didn't have to. Where's Ferris- But- Where's Ferris Bueller's wheel? But yeah, it was like, all right, I've got out of, uh, going to the state fair, but I had to go to Ozaukee County Fair. Oh.
• 3:54
Which is, like, a smaller, freer... S- did they have the third- third-rate Ferris wheel there? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, and I got trauma. I got, I, I got, I got, I got a lot of problems- Oh...
• 4:07
with, with, with local carnies and, and- I, I-... things of that nature... I do not blame you. And yeah, I don't know.
• 4:14
I, and you know, you wait at the top, and it's a swingy, swingy, swingy, wait-y, wait-y, wait-y, and I get a little freaky, freaky, freaked out. So yeah. Yeah. It was un, uncomfortable.
• 4:25
[laughs] I like the, I like the- Oh... big ass one in, uh, Vegas because I think each gondola holds, like... It holds a bunch of people, probably 20, 30. I don't know what the capacity is. Yeah. But it never stops.
• 4:39
You basically just kinda walk along, and you walk in there, and then it's... Sure. Sure. And you- Okay. I can wrap my head around- It's like a-... slightly-... continuously in motion. Yeah, and something that is, like,
• 4:50
like, well put together. Yeah, and it's massive, man. Yeah. It's massive. I just, I don't trust it. And w- 'cause I was one, when I was a kid,
• 5:01
you know the things that, like, they're like little eggs and they would, like, spin, spin, spin, and then you could- Oh, yeah. Yeah... like, spin it upside down and whatever. Yep. But
• 5:10
in order to get on the thing, they have to lock it into place. They didn't unlock it- Oh... onto a place. Oh. So as they're loading people in, ding, ding, ding, it's not spinning with gravity. Right.
• 5:22
It's just staying like this. So you're... [laughs] So I'm upside down, and there's, they don't have no buckles or nothing. So I'm, like, freaking out, like, on the bottom of the thing, and then it starts going,
• 5:34
and then I'm in there like a f- like a fucking r- [laughs]... ro- rock polisher, like, ding, ding, ding, screaming as a, like, out of my head every time I'm coming up. Were they, like, single person eggs? Yeah. Yeah.
• 5:45
Or d- or like two. Yeah. And, uh- Right on... but I was the only one in there, and da, da, da, da, da. [laughs] So yeah, there, that's why I'm, like, yeah, a little- That's, uh-...
• 5:53
freaked out by anything- That's a little-... of the, uh, local ride thing. Little carny collusion to make Michael feel bad. Yeah. You got a lot of pr- yeah. One of my, um, my, some of my grudges. Yeah.
• 6:06
Not, not many of them, but they're robust. [laughs] Have, have you, um, have you tried to run the gauntlet at, at State Fair on the Hank Aaron State Trail yet? Nope.
• 6:16
No, I saw the s- It just seems like it would be kind of fun to give it a go and see if you get mowed down. What are they afraid of? I don't know. People riding their bikes with what? Uh, what are they gonna do?
• 6:28
I don't know. It's- Sneaking in, sneaking in, uh, weaponry- Yeah... or whatever. I think because there- Because there-... a lot of other ways to do it.
• 6:36
I was thinking that you would just use the tunnel that we go under and ride our bikes in underneath- Yeah, if you're gonna get in early about it... State Fair if you're gonna go in there and- Yeah... yeah.
• 6:44
For, for ne'er-do-wells, yeah. Right. This one, you're just going to... I mean, 'cause it does go right above that little dip that goes into the midway area. Okay. Yeah. You know what I'm talking about? Yeah. And that's
• 6:58
apparently the easy access to just jump in, jump out, run away- Hmm... or whatever. I, I guess. Okay.
• 7:04
Unless they, I mean, there are different ways to approach that- There's a lot of other ways to get in that park if you really want to... Well, there's different ways to approach that hazard there.
• 7:13
I mean, instead of just handicapping that park run up- What is it? Yeah, it's probably, mm-... like, 10 block run up it... yeah, 10 blocks. Yeah, just like, dude, really? For the Pumpkinfest? Well- I don't know.
• 7:26
It just, again, ticks me off. I've successfully- Every, every time it, that comes up, I just don't, I'm like, ugh. Yep. 'Cause there's never anything screaming out there going, "Yes- Not even-...
• 7:38
gotta, gotta go see that." Not even Queensryche a couple days ago. [laughs] No. No, no, no. Well, no, because there, then you build another, like, $80 ticket. 40-something. Right. Yeah. Whatever. Whatever.
• 7:49
Something like that. Well, and that's what's coming up, uh, this weekend, Full Moon Beach Ride. Oh, that's true. Because if, uh, if- It doesn't cost 80 bucks either...
• 7:58
no, 'cause if I wasn't doing that, I would've been roped into going to that and trying to get, and probably- Oh... having to go to Skynyrd, which I don't know- Oh... if there's any Skynyrds left in the Skynyrd.
• 8:11
I was thinking there might be one- There's gotta be one... tambourine player or something. One, yeah. There's gotta be one, just one tendril- Yeah... that they can justify it by, but yeah. I'm just like, uh.
• 8:21
Well, so you're lucking out on this Full Moon Beach Ride. Hell yeah. Yeah, yeah. You, you wanna, are you gonna stay up there? I'm planning to get.
• 8:28
Hmm, uh, the, the, the Mimosa Ride on, on, uh, Sunday morning does have some legs. Right. Right. And, and the, uh, tested out the air mattress. It fits. [laughs] Oh, in the van? Yeah. Is it a twin? Uh, something.
• 8:43
A double? A fold or something like that. I don't know, but it fits just, just right in there. Yeah. I've, I, I, I will be van camping as well.
• 8:51
I think t- Tony's like, "Well, I'll probably just ride home if you guys can stay overnight. It's only three hours." Uh, yeah. It's, like, 25 miles. It's not- Yeah. It's not, yeah... massively bad undertaking, but. Yeah.
• 9:06
Um, so anyway, yeah, we, we have this event. It is in the show notes. It does have a link. It is in Port Washington, and the weather looks pretty decent. Yeah.
• 9:18
I think there's an occasional, a chance of an occasional- Yeah, maybe a little earlier-... a spray... in the day. It's kinda, we'll see. Or evening, but whatever.
• 9:26
Nothing, nothing that would s- Long, long as we see Mr., Mr. Moon get his smiley face out there. Yeah, and don't give me the, any of this cloud nonsense. Like that supermoon.
• 9:36
It's like, "Oh yeah, the supermoon should be..." We're, and don't see anything until it's, like, way the hell up in the air. It's like, "Oh, okay. Now the moon came out." Yep.
• 9:43
Yeah, I think moonrise is somewhere around 8:30, so- Yeah... it gets cracking pretty early. Might not even be quite dark out yet. Right. So it, you know, looks all- A little twilight moonrise...
• 9:55
looks all Death Star coming at you. Yeah. Yeah, that'd be pretty cool. That's what I'm down for. I, I do not know who else is coming, but, uh, I assume there are people. There's interest. I don't know- Yes...
• 10:09
how- Interest... how, how robust the interest is. Should dig, I should dig out that box of Full Moon Beach Ride T-shirts I've still got. [laughs] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 10:22
I, I think, I think they're in, I think they're on the top of the shelf in the other room. I think the only, I, I, I had it out, but I know it's a long sleeve, and I- Yeah... it's kinda warm outside, and I- Right...
• 10:31
didn't want to- No, that's more of a-... do more damage to myself today than, like, oh, okay. No, it's more of a on the ride, maybe you need it, maybe you don't kinda thing. I think it's gonna be hot, hot, hot. Blah.
• 10:43
As far as I heard. I think it's gonna be in the 70s by the nighttime. Sure, but 90s during the day. Well- [laughs] That's what I, what I saw... yeah. That's what I saw.
• 10:53
But I, I don't, I, well, we'll have to make a schedule. I'm not even planning on getting up there till, you know. Sure. Maybe go up a little early and have a little food at Tello's or something, but
• 11:03
I'm not getting up there in the middle of the afternoon by any stretch. Making a day of it. Camping out at Bernie's. Uh-huh. Yeah.
• 11:11
Well, actually, yeah, that would be a good thing, 'cause I think they close at, like, 4:00. And it's a Saturday, and they're not open on Sundays. I don't really- Well, that's true... remember.
• 11:20
Gotta find out about that, because we might need some pork chops for a little sustenance [laughs] on the beach. Be Bernie's, welcome to Bernie's Fine Meats, uh, Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Oh, that's not too bad.
• 11:36
Closed Sunday and Monday. And Monday. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I kinda think I got stuck on that one too. Yep. So- Or it was like, oh, I m- uh, no, they're closed on Sunday, and didn't even think about it.
• 11:46
I'm like, uh, yeah, of course you're closed on- Yep... Monday. If you, if you're going up there and, uh, you don't wanna stay in your van down by the river, there is the Harbor View is a very nice place.
• 11:56
Somewhat remodeled recently and, I don't know, be kind of fun. Yeah, yeah, if they got their- They did have a great, great, uh, hot tub, jacuzzi, whirlpool, whatever the hell the operative name is.
• 12:13
Yes, jacuzzi. It si- the size was just right for a bad back or like a, from riding Milwaukee up there. Oh, right on.
• 12:22
And it was like, okay, I was hauling a bunch of stuff, and I was just hunched over for about those three hours. Oh, did you have a backpack on? Yeah. Bad idea. Well- [laughs]... what happened?
• 12:32
And, uh, so it was like, okay, get in there and ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba, and it was just a good, perfectly sh- Yeah, I'm not sure. So, w- uh, not that it's a bad idea, but it's an idea. Uh, we did that Michigan trip.
• 12:47
Uh, by the way, all one, two, three, four days of it are, are now currently up in their By the Day format on the YouTube. Cool. Um- Yeah, I saw, I think, three of them.
• 12:59
And I, if you watch it and you notice, and we don't... Well, I, Dave probably has some footage of me, but both Greg and I had basically more traditional panniers type idea, and he had the trailer.
• 13:14
And I'm curious how much the trailer versus, like, I had... First of all, I had more junk that I didn't use probably than I did use. Yes.
• 13:23
[laughs] So I could have jettisoned some of that cargo and been much happier in that. The weather was so nice, I didn't really feel like I gotta get out of sweaty, stinky clothes every day. Yeah.
• 13:33
Um, but I also took some tech that I didn't use and I, just a couple things and, you know.
• 13:39
It, it, so I had a pr- my bike weighed about 80 pounds loaded, and his, with the trailer, was around 100, but it was lower because it's the trailer. Right.
• 13:49
Mine was kind of up on the rack and, you know, wer-wer-wer-wer-wer-wer-wer. When you're going down the hill, it would give him the, a little more inertia. I don't know.
• 13:58
I must have better bearings or something, or I weigh more. I don't think I weigh more than Dave, though. But I usually am rolling down hills faster [laughs] than anybody else.
• 14:06
I, maybe it's just the bearings in my bike are like... Ring. Yeah. Ring. They're just super, super enduro bearings or something of that effect. Ring super Decatur.
• 14:14
But, uh, yeah, I think I, just for, you know, 'cause I can do it, I'm just gonna make the full... Uh, it's basically an hour long, the whole thing. I did notice when I watched day four yesterday that the end is,
• 14:28
couple the, couple minutes of watching the ferry come in and, and, and go out and come back in. It's pretty cool. I ju- I like watching the ferry [laughs] stuff. Right. Right.
• 14:36
I don't know if anybody else does, but, um, the final video, I did, I did a deal where the, the camera was going on the front, and I had my phone eyeballing me in the face, so I was kinda like a little picture on picture guy.
• 14:48
Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Yeah, little narration of the old beach there in, in, uh, Ludington. Ludington. Which, if I didn't mention it last week, I would like to go up and maybe spend three days just at Ludington.
• 14:59
That's a neat place. Because there's plenty of beach to get to and, you know, it's a very nice place to camp. And, uh, yeah, I'm gonna go back there at some point. Someplace else to go camping, if you really wanna camp,
• 15:18
uh, Levis Mounds. Levis? Have you been out there? [sighs] Or any of the, any of the festivities? This, this one's called Free Fall Fest. If, no, I haven't. I mean, I think I just went out there to help trail build. Yeah.
• 15:35
Many years ago. There's, uh, it seems like it's, you know, it's a mound. There's a pretty good bit of elevation floating around it and- Elevation? Yeah. That means, like, a hill? A Levination, yeah.
• 15:46
As you get to the top? Oh, yeah. We're up there. As you get to, as you get to the top of it? We're looking over. We're looking over. [bell rings] Oh, yeah. Uh- Uh, JK brought the beer today. It's, uh, Dogfish Head.
• 15:58
Dogfish Head. Grateful Dead Juicy Dead Pale Dead Ale. Yes. Yes. Pale. It's, uh, apparently a year-round one now, which is cool. Oh, good. And it's 5.3, so it's drinkable.
• 16:12
Uh, whatever the last Dogfish Head we had, I liked too. Mm-hmm. So, um, tropical and citrus notes, but, uh, you can, you can do the honors. Uh, there's some funky grain in it.
• 16:23
I don't know what the hell they're talking about, but- Uh, what was it called again? It was the- Pomegranate... Kernza. Kernza. Kernza. Kwanzaa. Uh, a good grain or whatever. Hazy,
• 16:36
pale gold with a white head, tropical fruits, mango, pineapple, light citrus aroma, light to medium. Yeah. Hmm. I mean, it, it drink, I mean, for a 5.3, I can have a couple of these. Yeah, I don't know th- I'm not sure.
• 16:51
It is fruity. I don't know if I'm mangoing it or pomegranate or something. Yeah. I don't know. Some sort of fruit business in there.
• 16:59
But I figured, you know, had the Dead beer last week and the Dead beer this week, and I'll be riding the Dead- Oh, yeah... Deadsteed this weekend. So, got, got the Dead, Dead, Dead and- Love to get some pictures- Yeah...
• 17:10
'cause that is basically this box. Yep. Yeah, yeah. Color scheme wise, it's the witchoo, witchoo, witchoo. Speaking of also the Dead, you, we've probably mentioned the Terrapin Station thing. Yep.
• 17:20
[laughs] Well, briefly, albeit coming back at some point, there was a, like a, I think it might be a Kickstarter coming up, but it was a GoFundMe. But I helped Steve do the video, which was a lot of fun. Mm-hmm. And, uh,
• 17:35
check that out if, if you get it. We'll probably have it in the... I'll throw it up on Fatbike.com just because- To get the, the tortills, the turt- Yeah... turtle tur- The deal is he sp-... the tailerpins...
• 17:43
you know, he spent a bunch of money making this thing look like the cover of Terrapin Station, and then it's missing turtles, so how can you have that without turtles? Turtle. And a local artist- Is that a turtle?
• 17:51
Yep, there you go. Da, da, da, da, da, da, da. I forget where I was.
• 17:54
Oh, I was, well, I was at some place, and I'm, and I, I went down and asked the guys if they were, that were sitting down the bar a ways, and asked them if they were Grateful Dead fans, and I started talking about Terrapin Station.
• 18:05
And they're like, "Did you hear us talking about turtles?" I'm like, "No." He goes, "Well, he's getting a turtle tattoo." [laughs] I'm like, "Huh, okay.
• 18:11
Well- There you go Nice Turtles in the Wind Turtle, turtle, turtle, turtle Yeah, there's some local artists that will do these things, you know, human turtle, human turtle size [laughs] out of fiberglass for a fee,
• 18:25
and, uh, it's fairly hefty, so I hope that, uh, I hope it comes to pass because it's a pretty cool idea Yeah, I like it.
• 18:34
I, I like it a lot I, uh- I like it a lot We'll have a, we'll have a link once that, that thing's back up. Steve, Steve wasn't very happy with how he wrote the story. I think he's gonna rewrite it.
• 18:48
Um, but it's really his vision, so he should talk about it, not me so much Yep, yep, yep. Speaking of stuff we should talk about- Mm-hmm... I got this from Gary when I was over at...
• 18:58
This is the WMSC Backyard Barbecue poster, which will be down in the hallway if you wanna rip it off the wall at some point. [laughs] 15th annual.
• 19:06
Uh, this is one of the things that happens every year and makes WMSC one of the coolest places to listen to music. Tons of stuff on here. Oh yeah, there you go. Um- [laughs]...
• 19:20
headliners Braid this year, if you're into that kind of stuff I've heard some. Yeah, maybe, maybe Yeah, I'm gonna, I'm gonna dip into the archives a little bit, 'cause it's not maybe necessarily my thing, but- Right.
• 19:34
What I've heard is so, is good It's a good show. You got your Collection of Colonies of Bees. Mm-hmm. Voodoo Honey Brass Band, Moonglow, RNB Cadets who are- Yeah...
• 19:44
they've been ar- I used to see them at the local, uh, the local... What was that? Hooligans. Used to play there all the time Oh, sure, sure And they had...
• 19:52
The stage would, was above the kitchen kind of deal Yeah, the plank down Yeah, and, and I just remember s- Paul Seebar, he's a taller guy, and he's just, like, kinda- [laughs] Yeah...
• 20:03
hunched over there with his head kinda scraping the ceiling Yeah, yeah But, uh, good stuff Same thing w- yeah, like, same thing like at, uh, Linneman's. They would, you know, plop down the, uh- Oh...
• 20:12
the stage on top Right, right, in the front bar Yeah Yeah Before they had the back Right, right. For sure But that Voodoo Honey Brass Band, that's gonna be something else. That's that, oh, uh, Jay Anderson
• 20:23
that was part of... He was Milwaukee Riverwest guy Hmm Always had a kimono [laughs] on, um- Maybe... if you've seen it. Uh, part of Foreign Goods, local musician- Okay... really accomplished.
• 20:35
Then he moved down to New Orleans. Good saxophone, good musician in general Right on So he's got commission to, uh, just put together, uh, a brass band for, for this event, so- Oh, okay. I got you.
• 20:48
So- So he's got a lot of, like, from New Orleans and from local and from- Happy there?... I guess from all over the country, I guess Well, that sounds fun. It's sort of then a one-off kind of thing or- Yeah...
• 20:59
not, not happening often kind of a deal? Right. That's kind of my destination band on- Which will be-... out of those... probably m- mid-afternoon, late afternoon Yeah...
• 21:08
four o'clock They actually do have the s- Four o'clock, I mean... yeah, they do have the set times out there Oh, do they? I don't see them, but. Yeah That doesn't mean...
• 21:13
Oh, noon, it's a noon to 8:00 thing, so, oh, 3:50 to 4:45, Get Funky with the Brass Field Party by the Voodoo Honey Brass Band. Ya ha Curated by Jay Anderson.
• 21:24
Is that- The aforementioned Jay Anderson Look at that, didn't even have it in front of me Yeah It's all up all here Right on. Um- So... emo icons Braid will be the headliner at 6:45 to 8:00.
• 21:35
Yes, this is a thing that does not go late into the evening, so there's plenty of opportunity to create havoc after- Right, right...
• 21:43
at, at other local venues The Lily Pad back Yes Ding, ding, ding Heterosybatic [laughs] Do you have music that night? Because that would be nice. It's on the way True, true, true Yep, yep, yep, yep. Oh, here's...
• 21:58
Uh, I g- we're on the Milwaukee thing again, but this is somewhat far-reaching because the Triple Taproom, which we've been to recently s- several times for some reason. Tony and I were there, and it was...
• 22:11
They're starting some of the, um, WMSC events at that. It was kind of like going to the movie theater and stuff, and- Right... it was a collaboration between Door County Brewing, Hacienda, and Three Sheeps,
• 22:24
and it closed. And I [laughs] I don't, well- It was, it was kind of abruptly It was abruptly, and I think the Th- Three Sheeps had only kind of been there for a year or two- I think, yeah, yeah... as part of it,
• 22:36
and their, their own release was like, "Yeah, I don't think we're closing, 'cause we're not closing." Right, right. Yeah [laughs] "'Cause we're really strong around here." And they are very strong- Yeah...
• 22:46
and very good, too. And, uh, they're in Sheboygan up the f- the, uh, the surfing capital of the Midwest, by the way- Mm-hmm... if you wanna go- Yeah... surfing They got waves so big they'd hide a Volkswagen Yeah.
• 22:58
Is that what they said? And step in the liquid they do. [laughs] Uh, I have not been up there. I'm not a surfer, but I understand that it is the place to go.
• 23:07
If the winds are out of the northeast would be my suggestion Get the right bone to fetch Yeah. We got her. [laughs] Okay- [laughs] Okay, Sailor Joe.
• 23:19
[laughs] [coughs] There's an e- there's an event coming up in September, too. Uh, we talked about, uh... Free Fall Fest is 19-2021.
• 23:28
I would kind of try to be back in Milwaukee personally or come to Milwaukee, it's really not that far away, for what is now, I basically just call the Slow Roll. Started out as Chris' Slow Roll.
• 23:39
Chris Kegel from Wheel & Sprocket, was a long time, many, many year bike shop owner in the Midwest, and very active in the, in the uppity muckety part of the NBDA and stuff like that.
• 23:52
But, uh, that's on the 21st, and I d- I th- we went last year, I think, and I was like, "Huh, that was kind of better than I thought it would be."
• 24:01
[laughs] Yeah, they've- I wasn't really expecting a lot, but it was- I think they've dialed in their, uh, the route Yeah, and it's super well-attended. There was a- Yeah... lot of people.
• 24:09
I'd say i- in the m- many, many hundreds, if not banging on a thousand Right. Yeah, ever since they got, uh, the footprint of the- War Memorial Beer Garden Oh, yeah And whatever. 'Cause it, it used to have to go out to
• 24:26
State Fair Park area, 'cause that's where the Kegels Inn is, and the- Sure... they would do the ending there. Yeah. Which would make sense because, uh, you know- Yeah... the place is up there. Yeah. Yeah. See? Yeah.
• 24:36
Yeah. 'Cause it would start at State Fair Park and went down to the lakefront, and then be picture, picture, picture, and then ride back. And then was like, "Well, why don't you just stay on the, stay on the lakefront?
• 24:46
Just go up the lakefront and come back down, and then party, party, party, picture, picture, picture." Lakefronty, lakefronty. Oh, yeah, I remember getting yelled at about taking a picture of the drone thing.
• 24:55
You gotta like... Oh, yeah. Yeah, they had like- Yeah, you gotta... Yeah, they had all the lines and everything. It's like- You're in the wrong spot... Jesus. Yeah.
• 25:03
We're trying to make a, trying to make a statement with the drone shot. Yeah. Like, "Oh, you. [laughs] Stop it." It's like- Well, I'll miss- I can hear, I can hear the screaming, "On your left. Ding, ding, ding."
• 25:17
Stop it. In the voice. Uh. Right on. Sorry. So that's something to do, though. Rant off. That is something to do. Yeah, yeah. Not, notwithstanding the, you know, inevitable irritating person on a bike ride, for sure.
• 25:30
If it's an organized event, you're gonna run into that. NS Nancy. And just, and then when you do run into that, don't follow him. No. No, no, no. No. [laughs] No, no following the DFL. No. No, no, no.
• 25:43
Uh, though on the, on the, on the Michigan ride, I was mostly following him 'cause I was filming, and I'm like, "Eh." [laughs] Here, here's, here's an easy thing. I don't know how you can goof this up.
• 25:53
We're on the beach. Keep the lake on your right, and then the dunes on your left, and go straight. You can't really goof it up too much. Sure. [laughs] Did he? No. Oh, okay. Too easy. [laughs] He, he didn't.
• 26:05
Like- Well, yeah, maybe. Uh, no, he didn't. Uh, all right then. I was gonna say, that would be damn impressive. I tell you, tell you what. Uh, here's one more thing before we go. It's...
• 26:17
I did, I did put up a couple more things on the Facebook. The shop's kind of, like, needing some funding, so I, I put up the, uh, electric Minimax, uh, cargo bike, which is... Can't get them right now.
• 26:30
This is belt drive Shimano electric. You know, you've seen me riding it [laughs] quite a bit. Yeah. Um, but it's a demo model with 400 miles on it, and it's a bunch of dollars off what it normally would be.
• 26:40
And, uh, since it hasn't been privately sold, it's still got a factory warranty, and I would expect somebody ought to get that thing. Because if I didn't have to sell it, I would not sell it. Right.
• 26:52
[laughs] It's, like, badass. Um, and then we still have the other Minimax, the standard acoustic version. Again, not easy to get right now. There are very few Omniums in the United States. S- tariff uncertainty,
• 27:05
and, uh, also supply because they just keep snapping them up in Europe. Huh. Yeah. I noticed that, uh, India's tariff went up to 50% today after it was just set at whatever it was a couple days ago.
• 27:18
Uncertainty, folks, that's not a word that you wanna hear when you're trying to plan for the future. Sure. Right? I'm not planning for the future. I'm planning for 10 minutes down the road maybe.
• 27:31
Just working for the weekend. Yeah. Everybody working for the weekend. All right. Uh, maybe we'll go see some music. Probably we will. And then, uh, we'll be back next week with show number three-one-seven. Yeah.
• 27:49
  Okay, bye. Bye.
• 27:53
  [rock music]
