SPEAKER_02: I have no choice but to move all my wealth into this other thing and to put all my time and energy into it and learn as much about it as possible.
• 0:20
SPEAKER_02: Because if not, then my wealth is just gonna continue to get debased.
• 0:24
SPEAKER_02: So I have no choice.

• 0:31
SPEAKER_02: I didn't care about the dollar anymore.
• 0:32
SPEAKER_02: I just kept buying, I just kept buying, I kept going, and I kept learning, I kept buying, I kept, and just rents and repeat.
• 0:37
SPEAKER_02: Just listening to podcasts, reading books, buying Bitcoin, and then just kept going.

• 1:56
SPEAKER_03: Uh Bitcoin is still on sale.
• 1:58
SPEAKER_03: It's hard to believe that, Ralph, after 17 years, uh Bitcoin is still at these levels.
• 2:03
SPEAKER_03: Like we are so blessed.
• 2:06
SPEAKER_02: Yo, I I I want to say we still down, we we still have a 99% discount right now.
• 2:11
  SPEAKER_02: It's crazy.
• 2:12
SPEAKER_02: Like this is this is insane.
• 2:14
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, like I mean we we are blessed to be living in a time like this, to be honest with you.
• 2:19
SPEAKER_03: People who uh people are complaining right now.
• 2:21
  SPEAKER_03: I just I just I just can't relate, I can't connect with that.
• 2:24
  SPEAKER_03: Like this is a a blessing.
• 2:27
SPEAKER_03: I was you know, I'm going sidetrack right now, but uh before uh when it was a hundred thousand, I thought that we were never gonna see a hundred below a hundred thousand.
• 2:34
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you know, I was I was in that crew.
• 2:36
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, me too.
• 2:37
  SPEAKER_02: Me too.
• 2:37
SPEAKER_02: Um yeah, and then now we got another opportunity.
• 2:39
SPEAKER_02: I was like, yo, I've seen this movie before.
• 2:41
SPEAKER_02: Like I've lived through the I don't know about you guys, but I lived through the 2021 bear market.
• 2:46
  SPEAKER_02: I mean 2022, I guess, bear market.
• 2:48
SPEAKER_02: And I've seen it before.
• 2:49
SPEAKER_02: I'm like, yo, this is great.
• 2:51
SPEAKER_02: Like this is this is what you know.
• 2:53
SPEAKER_02: A lot of people wish for bear market, and then when the bear market actually happens, they don't do anything about it.
• 2:58
SPEAKER_02: It's like, dude, like you've been you've been dreaming about this.
• 3:01
  SPEAKER_02: This is your opportunity.
• 3:02
  SPEAKER_02: Stack some sats, yo.
• 3:03
SPEAKER_02: Like, hey man, but they don't make him like us no more.
• 3:07
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, they don't, they don't, and I was gonna ask you that too.
• 3:10
SPEAKER_03: I was like, uh, you know, Bitcoin prices 64k.
• 3:13
SPEAKER_03: Are we stacking or are we selling?
• 3:15
  SPEAKER_01: Listen, listen, listen.
• 3:17
SPEAKER_02: Selling that that's I sell my dollars.
• 3:20
  SPEAKER_02: I sell dollars.
• 3:21
  SPEAKER_02: That's that's what I do.
• 3:22
SPEAKER_02: I sell dollars for sats every day, every day.
• 3:25
SPEAKER_02: If I have anything extra, like, you know, the only thing I I have like I try to always have a three-month emergency, and that's about it.
• 3:33
SPEAKER_02: Like, anything extra is like, dude, get this thing out of here.
• 3:38
SPEAKER_02: Like, I don't want to hold dollars anymore.
• 3:40
SPEAKER_02: Like, this is not it's not worth it to me, you know.
• 3:43
SPEAKER_02: So I'm buying every day.
• 3:45
  SPEAKER_02: I'm buying, I'm buying.
• 3:46
SPEAKER_02: I am a buyer at every price.
• 3:48
SPEAKER_02: I'll be buying the top forever, I'll be buying the bottom forever.
• 3:51
SPEAKER_02: I don't like I'm writing this thing to zero.
• 3:53
  SPEAKER_02: Like, I'm ready, I'm ready.
• 3:55
SPEAKER_02: Like, I'm die on this hill.
• 3:56
SPEAKER_02: I'll die on this hill, right?
• 3:58
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I yeah, I have at this point.
• 4:00
SPEAKER_02: We have no choice, right?
• 4:01
SPEAKER_02: It's like when when you understand how the fiat system works, it's like like they are gonna keep printing money.
• 4:06
SPEAKER_02: Like the money's gonna like the the dollar has already lost, what is it, like 90 over 97% of its value since the creation of the Federal Reserve.
• 4:15
SPEAKER_02: Like, dude, like I I have no choice but to put my hard-earned money somewhere else, somewhere where somebody else cannot print more of it, you know, some some in something that somebody else cannot debase.
• 4:26
SPEAKER_02: So yeah, I'm all in, man.
• 4:28
  SPEAKER_02: I I don't care about the the haters.
• 4:30
  SPEAKER_02: I don't care.
• 4:31
  SPEAKER_03: I agree.
• 4:32
SPEAKER_03: It's like it's so funny because it's like uh let's just say uh we ride this to zero.
• 4:38
SPEAKER_03: We're gonna do what we were already doing before and just work forever.
• 4:42
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, we already screwed.
• 4:44
SPEAKER_02: We already are going to retire at like what 75?
• 4:47
  SPEAKER_02: Like what real quick.
• 4:52
SPEAKER_03: So um again, this is Ralph, and uh he's from he's from Haiti.
• 4:58
SPEAKER_03: Uh he's a host of his own podcast.
• 5:00
  SPEAKER_03: It's called Bitcoin ICU.
• 5:02
  SPEAKER_03: Amazing.
• 5:03
SPEAKER_03: We were we had the pleasure to be on it.
• 5:04
SPEAKER_03: That's why we we just feel like we're just talking right now and vibing.
• 5:07
SPEAKER_03: Uh Ralph is on a mission to wake up as many people as possible to the benefits of Bitcoin uh through his content education and conversations.
• 5:15
SPEAKER_03: And I also want to point out uh congratulations, Ralph on celebrating your first Father's Day.
• 5:22
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah, thank you, man.
• 5:24
  SPEAKER_03: Thank you, thank you.
• 5:25
  SPEAKER_03: Huge milestone.
• 5:26
SPEAKER_03: Uh that is the best thing ever.
• 5:29
SPEAKER_03: I don't think people understand um the gravity of being able to take care of another human being from like, you know, baby.
• 5:37
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 5:38
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, no.
• 5:39
  SPEAKER_03: Thank you.
• 5:40
SPEAKER_03: I just want to say thank you uh for doing your part, you know, and you know, raising Bitcoin kids and you know, uh just a good kid overall.
• 5:47
SPEAKER_03: I know everyone that has a Bitcoin mindset uh usually has great values and a great mindset.
• 5:53
SPEAKER_03: And so pouring that into our future kids and future generations is a huge blessing.
• 5:58
SPEAKER_03: So thanks, Ralph, for all that you do.
• 6:00
SPEAKER_03: Being a dad, being a dad, being a nurse out there.
• 6:04
  SPEAKER_03: And you know what?
• 6:05
  SPEAKER_03: I'm I'm going sidetracked right now.
• 6:06
  SPEAKER_03: So it's all good.
• 6:07
  SPEAKER_03: That's what I love about this.
• 6:08
SPEAKER_02: We can just we can just chat.
• 6:10
SPEAKER_03: I I tweeted today, uh, you know, like how do you how do people like, you know, how do you orange pill people?
• 6:16
SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, what's your method or how do you go about it?
• 6:20
  SPEAKER_03: And you know what?
• 6:21
SPEAKER_03: I just thought about you right now, Rao.
• 6:23
SPEAKER_03: Uh, when you're like with your hat right now, I see you.
• 6:26
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 6:26
SPEAKER_03: Um, so do people come in uh uh when you're working and you're and they're just like, oh my throat hurts, and you're like, you know what, you just need more Bitcoin.
• 6:35
  SPEAKER_02: No, no, no.
• 6:35
SPEAKER_02: You know, it's funny because I I don't, I don't, I don't, I try not to mention Bitcoin at work as much, to be honest.
• 6:42
SPEAKER_02: Like it's like such a hard thing to mention.
• 6:43
SPEAKER_02: You know what I'm saying?
• 6:44
SPEAKER_02: Like it's like it's like you know, like I've tried a few times and it failed.
• 6:49
  SPEAKER_02: And it's like miserably.
• 6:50
SPEAKER_02: It's like it me people immediately think, oh, this dude's just trying to sell me some crap that's gonna go to zero, some scam or whatever.
• 6:57
SPEAKER_02: I'm like, no, that's I'm actually trying to help you.
• 6:59
SPEAKER_02: But like the last three times that I've tried actually became successful because like it's like I I wait for the person to actually like complain to me.
• 7:12
SPEAKER_02: Like, like I wait for them to like talk about something that's bothering them.
• 7:16
SPEAKER_02: And what I do is like I like make him complain even more.
• 7:20
SPEAKER_02: Like I'm just like, oh yeah, tell me more.
• 7:22
SPEAKER_02: How how how shitty is this, right?
• 7:24
SPEAKER_02: Like, tell me more about this.
• 7:25
SPEAKER_02: Like, I I make him like come down and I make him understand the problem even more, and then they come to their own conclusion, like literally, like this this is a scam.
• 7:34
SPEAKER_02: Like, I I make him come to their own conclusion, and I'm like, you know what?
• 7:38
SPEAKER_02: Um I don't have to deal with that problem because uh there is a solution out there.
• 7:43
SPEAKER_02: And and I and then I start explaining a like a part of Bitcoin because it's like you know, some people may want may complain about how they can never retire, and then maybe that's when I explain Bitcoin in like a number go up technology, or maybe some people are complaining about the banks taking too much fee, so then I explain Bitcoin in like a maybe like a low-fee transaction thing, you know.
• 8:05
SPEAKER_02: So, like, you know, there are people that are trying to send money back home to like uh to Africa, anywhere in any old Congo, Wanda, or whatever.
• 8:12
SPEAKER_02: So I try to explain Bitcoin in that part.
• 8:14
SPEAKER_02: So they you like I try to understand where they're coming from, trying to meet them there.
• 8:18
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think that has been working because there's so many different ways you can approach it, you know.
• 8:23
SPEAKER_02: Like it's like you can't like if I just like uh talk about like, oh yeah, there are 21 million bitcoins, like it's like nobody gives a million.
• 8:29
SPEAKER_02: What are you talking about?
• 8:30
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they won't care.
• 8:31
SPEAKER_02: Like it's like every every 10 minutes a new block is mine.
• 8:35
  SPEAKER_02: Run a node.
• 8:36
  SPEAKER_02: Hey, run a node.
• 8:36
SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, run a note, like, okay, what what is that?
• 8:39
SPEAKER_02: Like no, like nobody cares about Bitcoin.
• 8:43
SPEAKER_00: That's how I felt when he was like talking about Bitcoin often, too.
• 8:46
SPEAKER_00: I was like, what are you talking about?
• 8:48
  SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't even know.
• 8:50
SPEAKER_00: And he would just keep trying to like you just yeah, just keep telling me about Bitcoin, even like the you know, even just digital currency in general, right?
• 8:59
SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, I don't even know what the heck you're trying.
• 9:01
  SPEAKER_00: What's a coin?
• 9:01
SPEAKER_00: What do you mean a bitcoin places an actual coin?
• 9:03
SPEAKER_00: You know, what are you talking about?
• 9:04
  SPEAKER_02: Can I hold it?
• 9:05
SPEAKER_02: Like, what do what do you mean, Bitcoin?
• 9:07
SPEAKER_02: Like, is it like it, you know, like there's so many questions.
• 9:09
SPEAKER_02: I feel like the best thing sometimes is like to not talk about Bitcoin and to actually talk about the problem first.
• 9:15
SPEAKER_02: Like, you if you don't understand like what's wrong with like the dollar, like you won't you won't you won't care for like you there has to be a need to know, you know.
• 9:25
SPEAKER_03: So and you they have to connect with it too.
• 9:27
SPEAKER_03: Like they can connect with the dollar, yeah.
• 9:29
SPEAKER_03: You know, they can connect with the dollar.
• 9:31
SPEAKER_03: Um, you're nice though, Ralph, because if anybody that would complain to me and I was innourished and they're like, oh, my arms are broken and they came into my care, I'd be like, Yeah, you know, you just need more Bitcoin.
• 9:43
  SPEAKER_03: You need more Bitcoin.
• 9:44
SPEAKER_03: I'll be like, oh my foot, I you know, I just my foot.
• 9:47
  SPEAKER_02: I think about it.
• 9:48
SPEAKER_02: I just gonna say it, but I'm like, you know what?
• 9:50
SPEAKER_02: You know, your all your problems could be solved right now if you just you you you read a few books, man.
• 9:54
SPEAKER_02: You just just you just need Bitcoin, man.
• 9:55
  SPEAKER_02: Just educate yourself, dude.
• 9:57
  SPEAKER_02: That's all it is.
• 9:58
SPEAKER_03: The doctor said I think I got diabetes.
• 10:00
SPEAKER_03: No, you just need more Bitcoin.
• 10:04
SPEAKER_02: Oh, I mean, I broke my foot.
• 10:06
SPEAKER_02: No, man, you need more Bitcoin.
• 10:07
  SPEAKER_03: Just need more Bitcoin.
• 10:08
SPEAKER_03: If someone gave me more Bitcoin and my foot was broken, I would feel better.
• 10:12
  SPEAKER_03: I would feel I'll walk out.
• 10:13
  SPEAKER_01: I'll walk out.
• 10:14
  SPEAKER_01: Be good.
• 10:16
  SPEAKER_01: I'd walk out.
• 10:17
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 10:20
  SPEAKER_03: Dude, that's funny.
• 10:21
  SPEAKER_03: Ralph, let's uh let's uh let's uh pivot a little bit.
• 10:25
SPEAKER_03: So uh Rob, if you don't mind sharing with uh uh everyone, our listeners, um who you are and how did you first get introduced to Bitcoin for us, please?
• 10:37
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, uh so uh let me see, where do I start this?
• 10:40
SPEAKER_02: Um, well, I am I guess well, I'm originally from Haiti, of course.
• 10:44
SPEAKER_02: Uh and um I came to America in 2009.
• 10:49
SPEAKER_02: And um I wish I knew about Bitcoin back then, to be honest, but I probably would not be talking to y'all if I I'm just kidding.
• 10:56
SPEAKER_02: But um, yeah, um, I was um yeah, I was uh I guess you can say very like content in the matrix, and you know, I never really saw anything wrong with money or anything like that, and then my financial journey didn't really start until uh 2019-ish.
• 11:14
SPEAKER_02: Because I was trying to like see if there's a way that I could like retire like before 65.
• 11:20
SPEAKER_02: Because I never liked the idea of like working my whole life and and wait that long to retire.
• 11:25
SPEAKER_02: Because it's like, you know, you never like just because they say the life expectancy is whatever it is, I don't know, 70, 80, whatever, there's no guarantee that you're gonna live that long.
• 11:35
SPEAKER_02: You know what I'm saying?
• 11:35
SPEAKER_02: You can walk out your house tomorrow and then it may not be your fault, and then somebody else, yeah, it's you're gone.
• 11:40
SPEAKER_02: Like, you know, it happens, like, you know, so I always wanted to like see if I could like retire early.
• 11:45
SPEAKER_02: So I got involved in like, you know, um investing and trading and day trading and all that, trying to make like you know, 20, 30% a year if I could.
• 11:55
SPEAKER_02: And um, and then and then I guess I you know I did pretty well trading and I was into crypto, doing a bunch of stuff.
• 12:02
SPEAKER_02: I understood the idea of like um buying low, selling high, and all of that.
• 12:07
SPEAKER_02: Like I kind of like I on, you know, I I did well.
• 12:10
SPEAKER_02: Like and then fast forward to 2022, 2023, um, like when you know starting my nursing career, I just remember I was trading like um during like the F FOMC meetings and stuff like that.
• 12:24
SPEAKER_02: Like, I don't know if you guys are familiar with like how when like Jerome Powell used to like like get on the podium and then like as soon as he starts talking, the market just like freaking volatile.
• 12:33
SPEAKER_02: It's like the volume, it's like so yeah, it's so entertaining sometimes.
• 12:37
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 12:38
SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah, it's so it's it was fun to me to just like just trade and stuff.
• 12:42
SPEAKER_02: I I was never a good day trader, but like I like I like I love swing trading, like just finding profitable companies and doing leap options, and that usually worked pretty well for the most part.
• 12:52
SPEAKER_02: Um, and then I just remember like one of those meetings they were talking about how yeah, um how oh yeah, you did a good job taking inflation down to from 9% to whatever it is now.
• 13:06
SPEAKER_02: And I'm just like, wait, what do you mean 9%?
• 13:09
SPEAKER_02: Like I just like I was just like, wait, inflation was that high and I got a 2% raise and nobody's talking about like I was just like like that started like you know, like I started asking questions and then and I was worried about like all my worth was was in the S ⁇ P 500 back then, and I was like, yo, my SP 500 is giving me 10% a year.
• 13:25
SPEAKER_02: Like, what if inflation stays at 9% forever?
• 13:28
SPEAKER_02: Like I didn't know anything back then.
• 13:29
SPEAKER_02: I was just like, oh shit, this is this is not good.
• 13:32
SPEAKER_02: Like I I should do something about it.
• 13:34
SPEAKER_02: So I started learning about, you know, started learning more about inflation.
• 13:39
SPEAKER_02: That led me to um uh learning about um gold, trying to learn learn how to protect myself from inflation.
• 13:46
SPEAKER_02: And then eventually I came across um I wish I knew who I remembered who it was, but some dude said in 2024 the inflation rate of Bitcoin is going to be less than the inflation rate of gold.
• 13:59
SPEAKER_02: And I was like, ooh, interesting.
• 14:01
SPEAKER_02: Like I'm I'm I want to know more about that.
• 14:03
SPEAKER_02: If this thing's gonna be more rare than gold, and I was interested in gold back then.
• 14:07
SPEAKER_02: I was like, okay, let me look into this Bitcoin thing, and then and then I then I that led me down to reading the book, The Bitcoin Standard.
• 14:14
SPEAKER_02: And then dude, that's like when I like I was like, whoa, this is this is a lot.
• 14:19
SPEAKER_02: Like this, like I thought the book was a fiction book, to be honest with you, because I was like, what do you mean?
• 14:25
SPEAKER_02: Like we used to use other forms of money.
• 14:27
SPEAKER_02: I like we use like the you know, walks, seashells, cocoa beans, all of these these other things.
• 14:32
SPEAKER_02: Like I like I had no idea what money was.
• 14:35
  SPEAKER_02: I had no idea.
• 14:36
SPEAKER_02: I was just like, whoa, what this is crazy.
• 14:38
SPEAKER_02: Like, is this dude separating yeah?
• 14:40
SPEAKER_02: Like, is this dude Sephardina Moose even is he is he saying the truth?
• 14:44
SPEAKER_02: Like, like who's this guy, anyways?
• 14:45
  SPEAKER_02: Is he crazy?
• 14:46
SPEAKER_02: Like what like and then instead of like buying more Bitcoin, I actually like I I I actually read more about the history of money because I wanted to be sure.
• 14:55
  SPEAKER_02: I was I was in shock.
• 14:56
SPEAKER_02: I was just like, wait, there's no way because my parents didn't know this, like my friends didn't know this.
• 15:00
SPEAKER_02: So I wanted to learn more about it.
• 15:01
SPEAKER_02: So I learned more about the history and then eventually, and then I started reading a lot more Bitcoin books.
• 15:07
SPEAKER_02: And eventually I came to the conclusion that yeah, like if this thing is truly, I mean, a scam, I guess, like you know, there's no other way to say it's just purely just something that's created as scenario, like I have no choice but to move all my wealth into this other thing and to put all my time and energy into it and learn as much about it as possible.
• 15:29
SPEAKER_02: Like I literally have no other choice but to do that.
• 15:32
SPEAKER_02: Like, because if not, then my wealth is just gonna continue to get the base.
• 15:38
SPEAKER_02: So it's like I have no choice.
• 15:40
SPEAKER_02: So and then ever since then I just kept learning more about it and I kept buying.
• 15:47
SPEAKER_02: I kept buying, like I didn't care about I didn't care about the dollar anymore.
• 15:50
SPEAKER_02: I just kept buying, I just kept buying, I kept going, and I kept learning, I kept buying, I kept and just rinse and repeat, just reading, listening to podcasts, reading books, buying Bitcoin, just and then just kept going.
• 15:59
SPEAKER_02: And then here I am now talking to other Bitcoiners around the world, talking to amazing people like you guys.
• 16:05
SPEAKER_02: Like, so this is like I mean, even if Bitcoin failed, like I've learned, like I learned so much.
• 16:12
  SPEAKER_02: Like it's just crazy.
• 16:13
SPEAKER_02: Like I've learned so much about life in general, and it's like so far, I have literally zero complaints about anything at all.
• 16:21
SPEAKER_02: Like, yeah, I think I feel like my life actually started to become better after Bitcoin.
• 16:26
  SPEAKER_02: It's it's just crazy.
• 16:28
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's like your eyes open.
• 16:29
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and you can see clear now.
• 16:31
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
• 16:32
SPEAKER_03: A couple things I wanted to add on that, which is so good, Ralph.
• 16:35
SPEAKER_03: Like, I think that's super goofy about like Jerome Powell, like and how everyone's like, you know, I was in the mortgage industry too, right?
• 16:41
SPEAKER_03: And so it was always like, oh my gosh, like what is it, what is it gonna be?
• 16:45
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, like, oh my gosh, like this one man who works like once a month and the whole world thoughts for him, and they're just like like glued like to the screen, like, what is he gonna do?
• 16:55
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, or like, oh, does he wearing a blue tie or an orange tie?
• 16:59
SPEAKER_03: Like, oh, he wears a red tie, you know, rates are going up.
• 17:03
SPEAKER_02: Like, like did he eat breakfast this morning or DB, oh no, oh you know, it's just so stupid.
• 17:09
  SPEAKER_03: It's so stupid.
• 17:10
SPEAKER_03: It's so like you know, it's stupid.
• 17:13
SPEAKER_03: And then also with like inflation, like inflation is so much higher than two percent, but like their goal is to like always keep it at two percent, like why not zero percent?
• 17:23
  SPEAKER_03: Why not one percent?
• 17:24
SPEAKER_03: Right, you know, like what of what are we talking about?
• 17:27
SPEAKER_03: Like, we we want everything to increase at two percent.
• 17:32
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but that's this, yeah.
• 17:34
SPEAKER_02: And you know, this this the most messed up part is that like it's like the it's like I I feel like in the perfect world, if it was actually true where like inflation stayed at 2%, and let's say you were getting a 2% raise and your investments were making 10%, like, and then it stayed, it actually stayed like that.
• 17:52
SPEAKER_02: Like, maybe the yeah, if it was like like, yeah, maybe it would have been okay.
• 17:56
SPEAKER_02: But like the fact that they're lying about it and we are actually like, I mean, I want to say it's probably up to like I don't know.
• 18:01
  SPEAKER_02: I'm I'm to me inflation is like 10 to 14.
• 18:03
  SPEAKER_02: Like it's up there.
• 18:04
  SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
• 18:05
SPEAKER_02: Everybody's inflation rate is different, but it's up there.
• 18:07
  SPEAKER_02: It's definitely double digits.
• 18:09
  SPEAKER_02: It's up there.
• 18:10
  SPEAKER_02: But then you're getting a 2% raise a year.
• 18:12
SPEAKER_02: Like, how are you supposed to survive?
• 18:13
SPEAKER_02: No wonder why people are like depressed.
• 18:15
SPEAKER_02: We are doing more drugs, more alcohol, more everything.
• 18:17
SPEAKER_02: Like, no wonder why the world's fucked up.
• 18:20
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, more gambling.
• 18:21
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's so messed up, man.
• 18:23
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
• 18:24
SPEAKER_03: And and go ahead, baby.
• 18:26
SPEAKER_00: No, I was just gonna say it's really sad to see because you just see these people just surviving, like barely surviving.
• 18:34
SPEAKER_00: You know, they're trying and they don't know what to do next.
• 18:36
SPEAKER_00: And so they're just going to an easy, sometimes they're just even putting like a band-aid over what the actual problem is.
• 18:42
SPEAKER_00: And then they're not uh I we've talked about this before um on our podcast too, is like we we don't have enough time, people don't really have enough time to learn something new because they are this constant rat race of you know, keeping like still earn earning money and making sure that they are like continuing to provide for their family.
• 19:02
  SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's where I was at.
• 19:03
SPEAKER_00: We had a new new kit, we had two new, very new kids when he was starting to say kittens.
• 19:09
SPEAKER_00: I was like, yeah, children, I should say, probably babies.
• 19:14
  SPEAKER_00: Uh kids.
• 19:17
SPEAKER_00: Um, and so uh that was kind of where I was like, I can't absorb any new information.
• 19:23
SPEAKER_00: I'm working and I have two, we have two young kids, like that's just is too much, you know.
• 19:28
SPEAKER_00: So uh I get it.
• 19:30
SPEAKER_00: I can see both sides.
• 19:31
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you can see, and I'm sure when you're working in even like the medical field, you're also seeing that from people too.
• 19:37
SPEAKER_00: You know, you're like, everyone's just surviving.
• 19:40
SPEAKER_00: And like you said, you're like peeling back layers from these people, just letting them like throw up their complaints on you, and you're like, dang, like yeah, yeah, whoa, you know, and a lot of times those people they they think it's their fault, they think they're not working hard enough.
• 19:53
SPEAKER_02: They think, you know, it's like, no, it's not your fault, dude.
• 19:56
SPEAKER_02: Like it's just the the the system is working exactly as it should, and it's like it was made to keep you like in on that like hamster wheel, like it was made to keep you in chains.
• 20:08
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's just sad that nobody nobody notices, you know.
• 20:11
SPEAKER_02: They just you know, they you know, it it looks yeah, it's just sad, man.
• 20:15
  SPEAKER_03: It's just sad.
• 20:16
SPEAKER_03: Uh the um also too, uh kudos to you, Ralph.
• 20:19
SPEAKER_03: Uh, for um, I think being curious, right?
• 20:22
SPEAKER_03: You're like looking at different options, you're uh trading, you're like gold, and then you're like someone says something about oh, like golden Bitcoin, like, oh, this might be scarcer, and you know, a scarcer asset, like, and then you're like, oh, let me learn about that.
• 20:33
  SPEAKER_03: Like, nobody does that.
• 20:35
SPEAKER_03: Like, yeah, you just think like, hey, I'm like working two jobs, I feel like I'm just I'm just climbing upstream, right?
• 20:42
SPEAKER_03: Okay, well, maybe I should go look at something else or try something else.
• 20:46
SPEAKER_03: Because overall, if you just like if someone's working two jobs, you should either you should easily be like slowly, like kind of getting ahead.
• 20:54
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, uh yeah, slowly, like, oh let me let me uh you know let me erase my debt, yeah or uh let me pay out my car, you know, payment my car a little bit faster, or you know, let me put a little extra money away for savings, but like it's you're you're but you're working harder for less.
• 21:10
  SPEAKER_03: And so right.
• 21:12
SPEAKER_02: And and I noticed it, I noticed it myself too when I f like when I was in there, I was like, wait, I thought my life was supposed to be easier, but I'm like over here working like 40, 50 hours a week, and I'm just like barely making it.
• 21:24
  SPEAKER_02: Like, what's going on?
• 21:24
SPEAKER_02: Like, I I could feel something was wrong, and and and that's all like some people are just comfortable just suffering sometimes.
• 21:32
SPEAKER_02: They just because it's not it's not they don't feel the pain like like um high enough, so they're kind of like okay, it's okay, uh something will happen.
• 21:40
  SPEAKER_02: They're just hoping.
• 21:41
  SPEAKER_02: I'm like, I'm not I'm not a hoping type of guy.
• 21:43
SPEAKER_02: Like I if there is something wrong, I want to know what the heck is going on and I want to fix it.
• 21:48
  SPEAKER_02: I don't want like if I'm uncomfortable, I'm out.
• 21:51
SPEAKER_02: Like I I want to live a comfortable life.
• 21:53
SPEAKER_02: Like I'm not I wasn't, you know, it's it not everybody's like this, and I get it.
• 21:57
SPEAKER_02: You know, some people are too busy to to to to see it and and I gotta say like also during like during COVID oh I should I should not probably not say this word out loud but it's all good yeah you know but like they made it so nice for us nurses where it's like I I did not see it if it wasn't for trading I would never yeah I would have never seen the problem like because like you know you you pick up an extra shift they give you a bonus you know it's like oh I'm like oh wow this is nice so I was using the money to trade I was using money to to invest I was I I'm going on vacation I'm like oh you know what yeah yeah I see people die every day yeah you know it is what it is I'm making money I don't care I'm that's like I was like it became numb to me like the things that were happening in the world became numb and I was just my way of coping was just going out with friends and going on trips and stuff like that and and I didn't see anything wrong with it until I started like trading basically and learning about the money like if if it wasn't for that I would have never really I would have just been happy you know making money and and and everything like it's just you have to be a little curious I guess if you're not curious then yeah it's you're just gonna stay you're just gonna stay the same and possibly just can just continue to decline you know so yeah yeah I'm I'm curious too just because you did immigrate here right so I feel like your your mindset would probably be I mean I would hope it might be more um resilient and wanting to learn more things because you do come from a different country where maybe there weren't the same resources and things like that where you were you where you were from I don't I don't know that for sure but I'm just saying a lot of times people who are coming to America to start their life you know they're like oh I want I'm gonna make I'm gonna maximize this you know and I I that's what I love so much about yeah yeah no that's true that's true and you know a lot of people they come into they come into Bitcoin they they automatically come into Bitcoin with a negative mindset.
• 23:58
SPEAKER_02: I came into Bitcoin thinking I don't know anything and I want to learn like I wanted to learn.
• 24:04
SPEAKER_02: Yeah that was the biggest thing like like I was like hey I don't know anything I just want somebody to to teach me and thank God I came across you know guys like um you know like guys like Michael Saylor and and and safe dinemos and all the all the OG Bitcoiners that help me learn everything that I know now.
• 24:20
  SPEAKER_02: Like so I I wanted to learn and that's why that's that's why I'm I'm where I'm at right now.
• 24:25
SPEAKER_03: So yeah I mean like when you stop if you stop learning then you might as well be dead I guess so yeah yeah exactly just keep learning man keep learning whatever's not growing is dead yeah that's true that's true whatever's not growing is dead hey Ralph I wanted to ask you okay so I hear this topic comes up a lot I love coming I love like it's a it's just a fun question to ask um because everyone has actually a different like uh perspective on it um you know when it comes to Bitcoin is you know a lot of Bitcoin is like hey uh Bitcoin is money like it's actual money so use it as money spend it right versus hey like I'm not selling my Bitcoin right you know how we kind of started off this podcast yeah you know what is your perspective on this because I see both sides of the coin yeah uh and I I I I feel like I kind of have a feeling where you're gonna where you're going but I still like if you are yeah just share with me your answer.
• 25:21
SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah absolutely so the way I see it is Bitcoin is money and what you do with it is your with your money is you save it and you also spend it.
• 25:31
SPEAKER_02: So I have a Bitcoin save well I have a Bitcoin retirement account that I'm like hey this thing is locked away somewhere where nobody can touch it even myself I don't even want access to it this thing is locked away for like 20 plus years.
• 25:44
  SPEAKER_02: I don't want I don't want to see it.
• 25:46
SPEAKER_02: Then I have a little midterm savings account ish that I that's like you know I can create my business with it at some point you know but who knows what I'm gonna do with or you know I don't know but I'm hoping that I can use this Bitcoin for like in the medium term to like do something else with it.
• 26:00
SPEAKER_02: And then and then I have my little check-in account you know where if somebody's accepting Bitcoin I have no problem like I will never like I don't want to sell my Bitcoin for dollars just because it's hot.
• 26:11
SPEAKER_02: Like that would never happen.
• 26:12
SPEAKER_02: But if if you are selling coffee and you want Bitcoin I'll be happy to give you some Bitcoin for a cup of coffee or or a sushi or you know like I I would be happy to to transact in Bitcoin like absolutely happy but but to me Bitcoin is money like you do every like money you use it to save to spend and I think it's it should be used for both like I I don't really agree with like the never sell your I mean I understand the the the idea of never selling your Bitcoin you know it makes sense right but like if you have the opportunity to use it to spend and replace for example like if I'm gonna spend like$200 for something but they somebody's accepting Bitcoin I will just buy$200 of Bitcoin and send you$200 worth of Bitcoin like so I'll just spin and replace it.
• 27:01
SPEAKER_02: And to me like I I have no problem doing that I prefer doing that instead of just giving you fiat you know so I just I don't want to I want to limit the amount of fiat that I use over time.
• 27:11
SPEAKER_02: Like I want to do everything.
• 27:12
SPEAKER_02: I want to transact I want to be on a full full Bitcoin standard at some point in the future.
• 27:17
SPEAKER_02: So yeah yeah so for me it's both both for sure that's awesome.
• 27:20
SPEAKER_00: I love that perspective that you have too because I think people who are listening to will are probably trying to figure that out for themselves like how do I navigate like being able to you know make sure that I'm investing in my future while also making sure that people who are we're we're trying to adopt this into like our everyday living you know and so even for me it's it's great to hear how you're utilizing how what makes sense for you right it is your it is your Bitcoin so you should be able to navigate it in what makes sense for you.
• 27:53
  SPEAKER_00: Right, right.
• 27:54
  SPEAKER_00: That's what it's it's self-custody.
• 27:56
SPEAKER_00: It's that self right right you know it's it's yours.
• 27:58
SPEAKER_00: So you gotta figure out how you want to navigate it.
• 28:01
SPEAKER_02: Yeah they call it you know uh what is it they they it's it's personal finance you know it's you know everybody yeah it's not gonna work for everybody everybody do do your own thing what I do may not work for somebody else like let's say some like for example people in third world countries they may they don't even they don't even they don't even have they don't even know how they're gonna eat tomorrow.
• 28:24
SPEAKER_02: So for them sitting Bitcoin is like dude why would I sell this?
• 28:27
SPEAKER_02: I'm trying to eat I need to eat tomorrow morning like I need something to spend so for them it like what I'm saying right now won't make sense.
• 28:34
SPEAKER_02: They will be like bro give me that give me something that I can spend right now.
• 28:37
SPEAKER_02: Like I need this I need money right now.
• 28:39
SPEAKER_02: So everybody's in in a different stage of their life and so I I can't really talk for everybody but maybe if somebody's like uh you know maybe making as much money as I am in the in this in the same financial situation maybe but it's definitely not for everybody.
• 28:56
SPEAKER_00: So yeah yeah and everyone gets educated differently on finances which is unfortunate I mean I wish there was those foundations of I'm investing in my future I'm saving for you know my rainy day and I'm like also going to be able to spend my money and that's just basic that's basic budgeting it is it is and like a lot of people don't know how to do that.
• 29:18
SPEAKER_02: Yeah yeah so sad yeah I I did not know how to do that neither until like after college I just I was just like I like I started watching Dave Ramsey like that's how I learned this thing.
• 29:28
SPEAKER_02: It's crazy like school really was useless as as far as finance like just absolutely useless.
• 29:35
SPEAKER_02: It's it's crazy like I had to look at I had to listen to some old man online to learn about how to make it's crazy man.
• 29:43
SPEAKER_00: Yeah and it's I I actually kind of experienced something similar too I was trying to you know get debt free and I wanted to make sure I was you know and I didn't I was never taught how to never I never had a significant amount of debt thankfully but I felt like a lot for me.
• 30:00
SPEAKER_00: So I was like oh my gosh how do I get rid of this thing and I literally had to read a book by David to figure it out.
• 30:06
SPEAKER_03: Yeah I'm like my parents never taught me school never taught me you know all these things so you kind of have to if you're willing you're gonna figure it out and know what's best um how to navigate your your finances and we spend so much of our precious time in school and then the most precious thing after our time is our resources for like a degree right and don't get me wrong like if you go to school again uh like to you sir on I think like if you fall in one of the three like a maybe like criminal justice like police officer firefighter or a teacher or a uh doctor like those ones like yeah I think it's really important yeah it's to indicate your degree and like it really benefits you um yeah but other than outside of those like you're cooked you get you know sometimes sometimes I like if you go like look at a uh a on a college website and you look at the list of all the degrees it's like who's actually like studying these days like who's actually you know it's crazy somebody made these up yeah like I mean I don't want to disrespect any you know degree but like comment you're disrespecting I got mine and uh they're like so I went to school Ralph I don't know if you heard the story I went I went to I went to college and then I didn't want to go to college it was never on my radar my mom never pushed me which I I love her and I thank her for that um I got a degree so they paid for it.
• 31:36
SPEAKER_03: I got called into the office like the there were at I don't know if they called counselor advisor I don't know what they're called these days.
• 31:43
SPEAKER_03: And she was like hey so what do you want to study?
• 31:46
SPEAKER_03: And then I was like um football.
• 31:49
SPEAKER_03: And then they're like no you can't study football I was like well you're paying me a lot of money to play football.
• 31:55
SPEAKER_03: Yeah and then she was like no you got to like study something and then um I was like oh I don't know and then she was like well what do you like to do?
• 32:03
SPEAKER_03: And then I was like talk and then she was like and then she was like okay communication and then I was like all right sounds good and then like got a communications degree like yeah but like what are we talking about?
• 32:16
SPEAKER_02: No you know actually uh funny thing is recently I don't know how much you learn about communication but like recently that's something that I've been trying to learn more about right because like I gotta say communication is a very helpful thing to know like it because like because especially like for me like you know English is my third language like I had to like learn the language learn how to communicate and everything and and even now like I have this book um The 16 undeniable laws of communication by John John Maxwell John Maxwell love communication is one of those things I'm like okay like how do I communicate with somebody else especially if I'm trying to teach something that's so complex like it's like okay like how do you if you're enjoying this episode make sure to like and subscribe it helps us reach more people and continue bringing you great guests.
• 33:06
SPEAKER_03: Now let's get back to the show.
• 33:07
SPEAKER_02: Why how can I relate to something like it's like such a very like important underrated topic honestly like that's something I mean honestly dude your major is it should be up there to be honest with you.
• 33:20
SPEAKER_03: Hey check this out so check this out Rob I'm actually super glad that you brought this up so um I would read this book uh since we're on the topic so I actually didn't learn how to communicate at all uh through school I actually learned outside there and I read a lot of John Maxwell's book and one of my favorite books that he has is actually is everybody communicates a few connect.
• 33:42
SPEAKER_03: So you got to be a connector yeah everybody communicates a few connect it's so good and it's by John Maxwell and so um so um yeah you want to be a connector and then also uh just to uh kind of go back onto Bitcoin because we can go on forever about this oh I know we we can yeah we can go on forever um one of the things in the future um I know this is gonna happen in the future it's already happening now uh we actually had someone on our podcast Lindy McGee she's amazing by the way uh she went down this path um because it was it was it was something she had to do it was called uh you know uh borrowing against your bitcoin right uh this is something that's gonna be happening in the future no matter what I think especially if you get a lot of Bitcoin like you're not you don't want to like get rid of it but I also don't want to like tie my Bitcoin up with somebody you know with an institution or a lender etc right um what would you we would you ever consider doing this what are your thoughts on this on borrowing against your Bitcoin like for a home like that sounds like a most really like really intriguing work I could see a Bitcoiner doing like is that something you would ever do I I would like okay so like right now I'm not it's not really top of my list to do really because I mean you know like maybe like at some point when like it maybe if it becomes like five to ten percent of my stack then I'll be like oh you know what I'll sacrifice 10% of my stack and just let it be and then borrow against that yeah like right now I'm not like I can see like I the way I see it is I'm gonna continue to provide value to the world like even when I retire as a nurse like I'm probably gonna be doing something whether it's still a podcast or doing something I'm still gonna be earning money somehow like I I I'm not gonna be retired and just be sitting at a beach doing nothing.
• 35:38
SPEAKER_02: Like I I have to do something I mean I'm still in my 30s like I have to do something.
• 35:42
SPEAKER_02: So um I I mean even if it's coaching like I'm gonna I'm gonna be making money so I'm always I keep thinking to myself I'm always gonna have money coming in so I don't really think about borrowing against my Bitcoin yet but I think at some point I probably will to be honest with you especially like for a house yeah I mean like yeah I can see it I can see it because that's a long term thing like once I buy a house it's like okay this is I mean yeah it's not really yours right you're renting from the government really but like yeah I I'll think about it like I mean a lot of things can change right like what if you borrow against your Bitcoin and then but then by by then there's no more fiat you know like I don't I don't know I don't know what's gonna happen in the future.
• 36:20
SPEAKER_02: So there's so many like it's so it's so unpredictable but right now I just know that this is not something that I'm looking into right now and but but but I'm not saying no I'm not saying 100% no yet.
• 36:34
SPEAKER_02: So yeah that's that's where I'm at with it.
• 36:36
SPEAKER_02: Yeah that's where I'm at yeah yeah what about you guys what do you guys think what do you think Jen?
• 36:43
SPEAKER_00: I mean I like you I think it if it push comes to shove if you I think a lot of people have had to navigate wild situations.
• 36:53
SPEAKER_00: And again everyone is navigating their journey and I feel like if it makes sense for your situation that you should do it.
• 37:01
SPEAKER_00: If we were in a position that we could do that and it made sense long term we would obviously have that discussion and you know figure that out.
• 37:11
SPEAKER_00: Um it's because I'm still you know really understanding it more and under I I feel like we would want to keep hold on to what we have rather than having to borrow against it.
• 37:23
SPEAKER_00: But yeah um again everyone's navigating exactly their own situations.
• 37:28
SPEAKER_00: And so you gotta do what you gotta do.
• 37:31
SPEAKER_00: And I admire people who take risks on certain situations because they need to and they're in survival mode.
• 37:38
  SPEAKER_03: Yep.
• 37:39
SPEAKER_03: And um so yeah that's kind of my I guess yeah no I I I I completely I completely agree.
• 37:45
SPEAKER_03: It's actually not not on top of my radar at all something would keep adding value.
• 37:50
SPEAKER_03: And then um you know if that's something comes down the road again it's personal finance it's called personal finance because it's personal.
• 37:56
SPEAKER_03: So if it if it comes to a bridge that we need to cross that we will but I just don't see it in the near future at all.
• 38:05
SPEAKER_02: That's a long term yeah and if the rates like come down to like to like you know if you borrow and it's like a two percent rate I mean why not?
• 38:14
SPEAKER_02: You know it's like it's two percent we'll see like I don't I don't know what's gonna happen but I'm not saying no I'm not saying no I'm not saying yes we'll see yeah we'll see yeah we'll see so Ralph you have your Bitcoin podcast kind of share with us what made you want to start uh your podcast yeah um yeah um for that one I think it was like mostly because I like sometimes I feel like some people may not understand like how I explain Bitcoin so I I I wanted to like bring other people in maybe they can relate more with other people and I think it was a way to try to orange bill my my family too to be like hey like I'm not the only crazy one out there there are other people out there that are thinking like me and that that's like the original thing.
• 39:07
SPEAKER_02: But then it's it's like it got so much better honestly because like it all it it almost like served as like a like a as like almost like a therap therapy basically because you can you you like you you are bouncing off ideas off of people who like see you know it's like because nobody if you guys I don't know about where you guys are at but like where I'm at if I go outside and I mention the word Bitcoin I don't know how many people would know what it like they wouldn't know anything about Bitcoin.
• 39:34
SPEAKER_02: Yeah yeah it wouldn't be anything yeah yeah so so it's nice to actually talk to other people that that that are thinking alike so it helped and also you learn you learn so much oh my god like from talking to other guests like the things that you you hear I'm like sometimes I'm like listening to my podcast back I'm like oh I missed that that was actually a good one and you know so yeah I love that idea I think it's a I think it's a great thing really like and I do think that we do need more podcasts out there more people sharing those sharing their stories and because because a lot of people trying to stay private and it's like I get it but nah dude we we need to we need to go out there like show that hey this is a real thing and our lives are getting better and this is actually this is beneficial to the world like we need to we need to express ourselves and show that this thing is real it's happening like so I think we need more of us out there for sure.
• 40:25
SPEAKER_03: Yeah I love that yeah that's so good Roth because I also think too like we're uh you know I think we're on the same page here where we're like we're super early and so it'll be really cool I think where to look back on this um so you know I think it'd be cool to like look back on like let's say five or ten years where Bitcoin like we we always mentioned the price on ours and then to look back on it like whoa remember where we talked about 62k yeah that's wild.
• 40:53
SPEAKER_03: I also think it's cool for um you know now that you have um you know kids yeah uh for us it's like I think it's cool for our kids to look back and like oh man look at mom and dad like they did this thing you know they were doing this Bitcoin thing together and wow like wow they were right about this or they were really wrong about this yeah who knows man maybe maybe we like just I don't know maybe maybe this was all right we've done too much work like not not podcast wise like do going down the rabbit hole to be wrong like there's no way and like there's so much like going down the rabbit hole that's what's crazy is people like once you see something you can't unsee it.
• 41:36
SPEAKER_02: Yeah and and if you're if you go down the rabbit hole and like you're and you see everything that we've learned you're willing to die I'm like dude like this this is I I there's no way I wanted to participate in that other world in the fiat world and how fiat ruins everything to health to kids to families to marriages to to workplaces to your mindset your attitude your to you like you can't go back like once you see this it's impossible to go back like you really like how do you go back to like B500 is not so bad after all like what like you know like oh yeah oh you know what maybe they will be able to keep it at 2% inflation I think it's gonna I think it's gonna work like you know like how do you go back like I trust the fact I trust yeah they they have they have my best interest it's the government really cares for me right yeah they yeah they they they never lie they always tell the truth like like it's just it it's crazy it's like it's been like a it's like a failed experiment and it's like this thing like since like 1971 or even since 1913 like this thing has already failed and what else like what else like I don't know man like I don't I just don't see another way like if let's say if big okay for some weird reason if Bitcoin was to fail I feel like I would immediately look for like another thing like like like we we would have to be building an a another Bitcoin like I there's no like turning back into fiat like I already understand like like my money should not be be created out of thin air so I'm going to be like okay I'll be like okay all the Bitcoiners out there who's ready to build the next project like what's up like let's do this you know I mean like I I don't want to go back to fiat like trust another government currency like no like I'm I already know what this thing is and I don't know if you guys know about the research about the the 700 plus fiat currencies uh the research that they've done and it's like like they've all basically all done to zero.
• 43:40
SPEAKER_02: Yeah they've all failed like we've we've done this over and over and over again like I'm good like I've seen this before like I don't want to do this.
• 43:46
SPEAKER_02: So yeah I mean um yeah that's the way I'm at right now like I don't want I don't I mean even if I haven't seen it it's seven hundred times it's yeah yeah it's the definition of an insanity yeah like doing the same thing over and over again Expecting a different result.
• 44:01
SPEAKER_02: It's like, dude, like what are we doing?
• 44:03
SPEAKER_02: Like, you know, you got countries like Argentina that has they've had like so many different fiat currencies.
• 44:08
SPEAKER_02: They they've they've they've tried it over and like it's like, are we just gonna it like how how is this?
• 44:15
  SPEAKER_02: I don't know, man.
• 44:15
  SPEAKER_02: It's crazy.
• 44:16
  SPEAKER_02: It's just crazy.
• 44:17
  SPEAKER_02: Like, I would move.
• 44:19
SPEAKER_03: I would I would move like if I was in Argentina and I'm like working on and they're like, oh uh, I'm like, what's this?
• 44:27
SPEAKER_03: And they're like, oh, this is the new dollar, Argentina dollar, Argentina dollar bike.
• 44:33
SPEAKER_03: But what about all the stuff I have in my bank?
• 44:35
SPEAKER_03: Or what about all the stuff I have in my house or in my pocket?
• 44:37
SPEAKER_03: Like they're like, oh no, this is a new one.
• 44:39
SPEAKER_03: And then like if they kept doing this, I'd be like, No, I need to leave.
• 44:43
SPEAKER_03: Like this, this, this none of this makes sense.
• 44:45
  SPEAKER_02: Like, I don't I still don't understand how they were able to just keep I like I don't I don't understand how people don't see it.
• 44:55
SPEAKER_02: Like how you can just keep yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 44:57
SPEAKER_02: They just keep trusting the next new fiat currency.
• 45:01
  SPEAKER_02: Like they don't think that I don't know.
• 45:04
SPEAKER_02: I mean, maybe no, I I might just see maybe so I'm not in their shoes.
• 45:08
SPEAKER_02: I maybe there's a lot of trust in governments.
• 45:11
  SPEAKER_02: I get it.
• 45:11
SPEAKER_02: Like maybe I need somebody else to explain this to me.
• 45:14
  SPEAKER_02: Because I I don't know, man.
• 45:15
SPEAKER_02: It makes no sense that they could the whole population would fall for the same thing over and over and over again.
• 45:21
  SPEAKER_03: And it's like I I don't understand that.
• 45:23
  SPEAKER_02: It makes no sense.
• 45:24
  SPEAKER_03: Hey bro, real quick.
• 45:25
SPEAKER_03: So we had a uh one of our immigrant friends, he just he immigrated.
• 45:29
  SPEAKER_03: He's our friend.
• 45:29
SPEAKER_03: He immigrated my immigrant friend.
• 45:31
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 45:32
SPEAKER_03: We uh one of our friends, he immigrated over here recently to America, and he is like, he was so funny.
• 45:38
SPEAKER_03: He was like, he goes, everybody in America, he's like, they use their hands.
• 45:42
SPEAKER_03: He's like, God gave them their hands, and they use their hands for work.
• 45:46
  SPEAKER_03: And you know what?
• 45:47
  SPEAKER_03: It's weird though.
• 45:48
SPEAKER_03: He's like, because everybody God also gave them this, but nobody uses this in America.
• 45:54
SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, uh, yeah, yes, yes, yes, yes, that's true, that's true, that's true.
• 45:59
  SPEAKER_02: So good.
• 46:00
SPEAKER_02: That uh that is actually true.
• 46:02
SPEAKER_02: Like, we it I I think I think again it's like it's like back to the trusting.
• 46:06
SPEAKER_02: Like we we trust that you know, everybody else, like in healthcare, school, everything else.
• 46:12
SPEAKER_02: We we just trust the expert.
• 46:14
  SPEAKER_02: I think that's what it is.
• 46:15
SPEAKER_02: Like, okay, like you know, Americans, I mean, hey, I'm American, I don't want to talk crap about every American, but like in general, you know, us Americans, I guess, we think that this is the best country and nothing can go wrong.
• 46:30
SPEAKER_02: And it's just like, you know, like I feel like at some point other countries, like third world countries, will like almost be at the same level, maybe not at the same quite level, but like they are gonna evolve and and they're gonna have they're gonna be happier than Americans.
• 46:45
SPEAKER_02: Because we, you know, Americans don't care about learning other languages.
• 46:48
SPEAKER_02: They don't care about it's like, you know, they don't care about a lot of the things that are happening in the rest of the world.
• 46:54
SPEAKER_02: But like then the rest of the world is like I feel like the rest of the world is like trying to catch up with them.
• 46:58
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 46:58
SPEAKER_02: And we think we think we're in heaven right now, you know, nothing is wrong.
• 47:01
SPEAKER_02: Like, you know, it's like it's like we other countries are using uh like people in Africa are using Bitcoin as a medium of exchange already, because they they understand, oh, okay, I can't trust my government with this.
• 47:13
SPEAKER_02: And we are over here like, oh yeah, uh let's argue about what Sailor talked about.
• 47:17
SPEAKER_02: Yes, it's like okay, like, dude, like so we are not really I mean, I can't tell the future, but yeah, we we are too comfortable right now, to be honest with you.
• 47:28
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, we are too comfortable.
• 47:29
  SPEAKER_02: That's what it is.
• 47:30
SPEAKER_00: That's such an interesting point that you just shared too, about like we had um a guest from Australia and they just knew so much more about our country.
• 47:40
SPEAKER_00: I felt I was like, I don't I'm not sure I know where what's going on over there, you know?
• 47:47
SPEAKER_00: And I'm gonna be real, I don't, I don't know, you know, and I I I was like, gosh, and even when I've traveled to Europe, they know everything about America.
• 47:56
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 47:56
  SPEAKER_00: Everything.
• 47:57
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I'm over here in my little American bubble, just living life.
• 48:01
SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, I don't, I don't know what you navigated the past five two years.
• 48:06
  SPEAKER_04: I'm you worth so.
• 48:08
SPEAKER_04: You are so you are so yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 48:12
SPEAKER_02: In honor of the world cup, in honor of the world cup, yeah, yeah.
• 48:15
  SPEAKER_02: You know what?
• 48:16
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's uh that's all right.
• 48:17
SPEAKER_02: You know, and you know, even even soccer too sometimes, you know.
• 48:19
SPEAKER_02: I'm like, yeah, we are doing, we are doing good, but I mean, I don't know if you guys are are a football fan, soccer fans, but you know, it's it's not like America has a lot of catching up to do.
• 48:32
SPEAKER_02: For being one of the number one countries in the whole world, like we suck.
• 48:36
SPEAKER_02: Like I'm be honest with you, yeah, we won two games, okay.
• 48:39
SPEAKER_02: But like, dude, reality is we suck.
• 48:41
SPEAKER_02: We need we need to play in in in in in in Europe, we I think they train like they actually invest in their youth a lot more.
• 48:50
SPEAKER_02: Like here, it's like I mean, I've coached soccer like for fun and stuff like that, but like like we, it's it's so much like uh you have to pay to play in most cases.
• 49:00
SPEAKER_02: And if your parent I know kids with a lot of talents, but unfortunately they don't have money to to join soccer clubs and they can never be seen, unfortunately.
• 49:07
SPEAKER_02: And then and and American soccer could be so much better if it was like if it was not like such a fiat.
• 49:14
SPEAKER_00: Investment, like almost like an investment.
• 49:16
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 49:16
SPEAKER_00: Like if we actually that might may or may not like it, you know.
• 49:20
  SPEAKER_02: It's yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 49:21
  SPEAKER_02: It's not the same.
• 49:22
SPEAKER_02: Like it, yeah, we there's so much wrong, so many things that are wrong here.
• 49:26
SPEAKER_02: It's just so sad to see.
• 49:28
SPEAKER_02: Like, I mean, we can go, we can talk about a lot of things that are wrong in America, and I want it to get better.
• 49:33
SPEAKER_02: I want it to get better because I live here, you know.
• 49:35
SPEAKER_02: So I'm not gonna say, oh, this country is trash, and I I I I want it to fail.
• 49:40
SPEAKER_02: I want to see America do better, but yeah, we are not going in the right direction right now, to be honest.
• 49:46
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we're we're the greatest country, but we are far from perfect.
• 49:49
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 49:53
SPEAKER_03: We can definitely get better.
• 49:54
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 49:55
SPEAKER_02: It it almost feels like we are like in a country with like it's like a it's okay.
• 50:02
  SPEAKER_02: I I don't want to say a third world country.
• 50:04
SPEAKER_02: We're like in like a is it is a second world country a thing?
• 50:08
  SPEAKER_02: I don't know if that's a thing.
• 50:09
  SPEAKER_00: I'm I I'm not sure.
• 50:10
SPEAKER_02: I don't know if that's a thing, but it's just like we're like in a in a lower tier country with with makeup on and we're trying to pretend to be a first world country.
• 50:17
SPEAKER_02: You know what I'm saying?
• 50:18
SPEAKER_02: Like we yeah, I know we are yeah, we think we're hot, but like yo, we're not.
• 50:24
SPEAKER_02: You take that makeup off America and it's over.
• 50:26
  SPEAKER_02: It's like who's this?
• 50:28
SPEAKER_03: It's like the it's like the lights come on at the at the club and you're like, whoa!
• 50:34
SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, close your eyes.
• 50:36
  SPEAKER_01: I don't want to see this.
• 50:37
  SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, stop.
• 50:38
  SPEAKER_01: I gotta go home.
• 50:40
SPEAKER_01: I was dancing with you.
• 50:42
SPEAKER_01: Oh man, how many joints did I have?
• 50:44
SPEAKER_01: Oh lord, oh lord, Jesus.
• 50:46
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no.
• 50:47
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, that's that's real quick.
• 50:57
  SPEAKER_03: Real quick, Ralph.
• 50:59
SPEAKER_03: Um Bitcoin ICU, what does ICU stand for on your podcast?
• 51:04
SPEAKER_02: The inflation care unit, you know, the uh the um I I was um I was doing some like I was chatting with Chat GPT trying to like create a brand for myself just in case like I take the channel somewhere.
• 51:15
SPEAKER_02: I don't know what's gonna happen in the future.
• 51:17
SPEAKER_02: And I was just thinking, like, you know, the the the world is messed up, and I wanted to keep it like you know, have the medical theme and all that.
• 51:25
SPEAKER_02: And I was like, you know what?
• 51:27
SPEAKER_02: If the world is sick and I'm trying to help take care of it, like what kind of name should I name it?
• 51:33
SPEAKER_02: And I was just chatting with Chad GBT, and we just, you know, Chad helped me, like, oh, you should I I had the name ICU already, but then I was like, and then and then I don't know.
• 51:42
  SPEAKER_02: I don't know if it's like chat.
• 51:43
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think chat should suggest it, like, how about the inf I think it suggested something else?
• 51:47
SPEAKER_02: I was like, oh, what about the inflation carrying it?
• 51:49
SPEAKER_02: And and then that just that was catchy.
• 51:52
  SPEAKER_02: That was catchy.
• 51:52
SPEAKER_02: I was like, oh, I like it.
• 51:53
  SPEAKER_02: Let's let's let's go with that.
• 51:55
SPEAKER_02: This that's uh it's a catchy name, you know.
• 51:57
SPEAKER_02: I love I love the uh Bitcoin ICU.
• 51:59
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's really catchy.
• 52:01
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
• 52:02
SPEAKER_02: Hopefully I do something with it, you know.
• 52:04
  SPEAKER_03: Oh yeah, you will.
• 52:05
  SPEAKER_03: You will.
• 52:06
  SPEAKER_03: I I really enjoy your channel a lot.
• 52:08
SPEAKER_03: Uh we had the pleasure of being on there, yeah.
• 52:11
SPEAKER_03: We had so much fun.
• 52:12
SPEAKER_03: That was such a great no.
• 52:14
SPEAKER_02: That was that was a great podcast.
• 52:15
  SPEAKER_02: I you I I love I loved our interview.
• 52:17
SPEAKER_02: That was that was actually great.
• 52:18
SPEAKER_02: That was actually so good.
• 52:19
  SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
• 52:19
SPEAKER_00: It was so fun too.
• 52:21
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, oh yeah.
• 52:22
  SPEAKER_03: So fun.
• 52:23
SPEAKER_03: We're like, Ralph, you need to get on our podcast.
• 52:25
  SPEAKER_02: I know.
• 52:25
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I felt like I felt like I knew you guys already.
• 52:28
  SPEAKER_02: It's so weird.
• 52:28
SPEAKER_02: Like, I was just like, oh yeah, dude.
• 52:29
SPEAKER_02: Dude, y'all felt like y'all feel like friends already.
• 52:31
  SPEAKER_02: Like, it's crazy.
• 52:32
  SPEAKER_02: Like, I love that.
• 52:33
  SPEAKER_02: I love that.
• 52:34
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 52:34
SPEAKER_00: We love we we love meeting people with your energy and your just willingness to share more and ask questions.
• 52:43
SPEAKER_00: You know, it's just it's such a good conversational, you know, chat rather than having a forced con forced conversation with questions, right?
• 52:51
SPEAKER_00: We can kind of just vibe and have great conversations too.
• 52:55
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 52:56
SPEAKER_03: Um Ralph, I wanted to ask you, um, so what has what have you gained the most from uh your podcast as far as like relationships, um, you know, uh anything like uh, you know, um new information that you were like, oh wow, like speaking to these people, man, they really had an impact on me, you know, what maybe from one of your previous guests.
• 53:17
SPEAKER_03: Um what what what's the biggest impact you've had or experience uh from having your podcast so far?
• 53:23
  SPEAKER_02: Oh, that's yeah, that's a good question.
• 53:24
SPEAKER_02: I never really thought about it.
• 53:26
  SPEAKER_02: Wow, that's a that's a good one.
• 53:27
SPEAKER_02: I I need to think about this one actually.
• 53:29
SPEAKER_02: Philly, you know, I'd say definitely a lot more knowledge for sure.
• 53:33
SPEAKER_02: And like having I think having a sense of like community as well is actually pretty good.
• 53:39
SPEAKER_02: Be being able like, yeah, you guys are far away, but like being able to like know that, oh wow, like there's other people out there that that think like the the sense of community in the Bitcoin is actually great.
• 53:50
SPEAKER_02: I'm like, oh wow, thank God I'm not the the only one.
• 53:53
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, this is I'm glad other regular folks are not feeling they they I'm glad that they are feeling the pain like I did and they are doing something about it because yeah, it it can be so like it can be so lonely.
• 54:05
SPEAKER_03: Um Hey Ralph, to wrap things up here, so uh we always love to end on this question.
• 54:10
SPEAKER_03: Um, is so let's just say if you're speaking to someone who's getting new into the Bitcoin space, uh for the first time and just like looking to get interested and just kind of do some research.
• 54:20
SPEAKER_03: What kind of advice would you give to them entering into this Bitcoin space and learning about Bitcoin?
• 54:26
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I would say I would say for sure.
• 54:30
SPEAKER_02: I mean it can be extremely overwhelming, like learning about Bitcoin, but I think even before learning about Bitcoin, learn about the dollar first.
• 54:38
SPEAKER_02: Learn about like learn about the problem first, I guess.
• 54:41
SPEAKER_02: I wouldn't say just the dollar, because it'd say you're coming from a different country, like it's not just the dollar that has the problem, like every fiat currency, you know, the yen, the the pesos, all of that, the euro, all of them is the same thing.
• 54:51
SPEAKER_02: Like I'd say learn about the problem with your currency first.
• 54:56
SPEAKER_02: Because if you don't understand that, then Bitcoin won't really make sense to you, really.
• 55:00
SPEAKER_02: Like, so you know, maybe you read the I always suggest the Bitcoin standard because that's like the first book that really got me down the rabbit hole.
• 55:06
SPEAKER_02: It's just a good book, to be honest.
• 55:08
SPEAKER_02: Although it can be hard to read for some people, it's worth it, honestly.
• 55:13
SPEAKER_02: But yeah, if you don't understand the problem, then Bitcoin won't make any sense.
• 55:17
SPEAKER_02: So learn about inflation, learn about learn about dollars, learn about how dollars are created, learn about learn about how the Federal Reserve was created, learn about so many things you can learn about.
• 55:31
SPEAKER_02: Like there's so many crazy, yeah, it's yeah, you have to learn about the problem first, I think.
• 55:35
