  But let's begin with Tiffany addressing the intersection of sleep science and spiritual warfare.

  I just need to clarify.

  I, as a therapist realize that there are mental illnesses and there are things that happen.
• 2:34
  I also believe that Satan exploits those things sometimes.
• 2:38
  And I absolutely believe that sleep paralysis sometimes is the adversary.

  And the reason why I can say that is because I've experienced it before where I felt that I was tied down to my bed when I.

  Where I could not speak, I could not move, I could not do anything.
• 2:55
  Um, and so in my mind, I cried out and I just, I just said a prayer and I said, God, in the name of Jesus Christ, please help me.

  And as soon as I said Christ's name, I was able to like, my stunk, my tongue started to unloose and I was, I was able to speak, I was able to Wake my husband up.

  We said a prayer together and cast Satan's influence out.
• 3:17
  And I was fine.
• 3:18
  I got up and I did my daily duties.
• 3:21
  And after that I was.
• 3:22
  I was good.
• 3:23
  And so I feel like, through my own personal experience, I do believe that sleep paralysis can sometimes be the adversarial attacks.

  Now, does that mean that all of them are?
• 3:34
  I can't 100% say that, but I can say that I know from my own experience that it does happen.

  It is sometimes a spiritual attack, and there are things that we can do to counteract it.

  Tiffany's distinction is critical.

  Science can describe the physical mechanics of sleep paralysis, the brain waking up before.

  Before motor control returns.
• 3:56
  But that doesn't mean the adversary isn't exploiting that vulnerability to instill terror.

  Notice that the primary tactic Tiffany described was being bound and mute.

  The enemy wanted her silenced, terrified and convinced she was powerless.

  Look at the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ in the gospels.

  In Luke 11:14, and he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb.

  And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out the dumb spake and the people wondered.

  In Mark 9:25 26, Jesus rebuked a foul spirit that had bound a young boy, commanding him, thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him and enter no more into him.

  Throughout the New Testament, unclean spirits routinely attempted to bind a person's speech, hearing, and bodily control.

  But notice what happened every single time Jesus spoke.

  Physical restriction yielded immediately to Christ's divine authority.

  If you ever wake up in the dead of night unable to move your limbs or form words with your lips, remember Tiffany's breakthrough.

  You do not need a physical voice to invoke the authority of Jesus Christ.

  Cry out in the name of Jesus in your mind.

  Even a silent thought, jesus, save me, shatters the darkness.

  The adversary knows that at the name of Jesus, every knee must bow, even in the middle of the night.

  Have you done anything differently as you have gotten ready for bed to prevent another instance of this happening again?

  Absolutely.
• 5:52
  Every time we go to bed.
• 5:56
  So we say family prayer together with everyone who's in the house at the time we say prayer.

  And when we say prayer, we ask Heavenly Father to cast Satan's influence out of our home and to send angels to guard over us and protect us while we sleep.

  And then my husband and I both also say, we say a companionship prayer together where we also pray for the same thing.

  And then individual prayers, we pray for the same thing.
• 6:17
  So we're sending up lots of prayers Asking Heavenly Father to just protect our space, to send guardian angels to watch over us as we sleep and to just keep Satan's influence out.

  A lot of times I ask Heavenly Father to place a sphere of light around our home and my family members to keep them safe and protected from the adversarial forces like that shield that we see in the scriptures,

  talking about the shield that combats the fiery darts, that I could pray for that shield to be around our home and to be around my family members.

  Prayer is something that I use all the time.
• 6:52
  There's so much power in prayer.
• 6:55
  Like we look at it, we think that it's just a simple thing and a lot of times we forget it because we think, ah, no big deal.

  But it's a big deal.

  And if we use it as a way, as a means to not only connect with God, but to bring down the powers of heaven, of protection upon us and our families, it's incredible.

  I haven't had sleep paralysis since then because I pray and pray for Heavenly Father's spirit to be with me and for Satan to be cast out.

  And that has made all the difference.

  Look at the fruit of proactive prayer.

  Tiffany has not experienced sleep paralysis since establishing that spiritual perimeter.

  You don't have to wait until you are attacked in the middle of the night to start praying.

  You can set the shield before your head ever hits the pillow.

  Look at the promise in Psalm 34:7.

  The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him and delivereth them.

  When you go to sleep, you are unconscious and physically defenseless.

  But God never slumbers.

  When you invite him in, his ministering angels pitch their tents right around your mattress, establishing an invisible canopy of protection over you and your home.

  And if lingering fears tries to whisper that the darkness is stronger than your prayers and anchor your soul in Romans 8, 38, 39.

  For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of

  God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  No nocturnal dread, no biological sleep state, and no unseen principality can sever your safety in Christ.

  You belong to the King and your bedroom can become holy ground.

  Oh, my dear sister.
