Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: You're listening to Hawk Talk with former Seahawks wide receiver
- 0:04Speaker 1: Michael Bumpus.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Play fake, go to roll right, jumps it off into
- 0:07Speaker 2: the right flass to Michael Bumpers, who bounces off a
- 0:10Speaker 2: one tackler gets inside the forty down of the thirty
- 0:12Speaker 2: five yard line.
- 0:13Speaker 3: Powered by seahawks dot Com.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Matt pumpfake's looking at the gold line. He throws it
- 0:18Speaker 2: into the m zone. Touchdown. Say Hawks, it's Michael Thumps
- 0:21Speaker 2: with a diving catching the end zone. A ten yard
- 0:24Speaker 2: touchdown reception for Bumpers, and the kid out of Washington
- 0:28Speaker 2: State has found himself a place.
- 0:30Speaker 3: On this team.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Now here's your host, Nasa Jovie.
- 0:34Speaker 3: Welcome into another edition of Hawk Talk.
- 0:37Speaker 1: The Seahawks fall to the Detroit Lions forty two to
- 0:40Speaker 1: twenty nine on a thrilling day on Monday night football.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Tough loss for the Seahawks. They've suffered their first loss.
- 0:46Speaker 1: They did not go undefeated like I hope they would.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Bump It was tough, but there's definitely a lot of
- 0:51Speaker 1: good things we saw from that matchup on Monday.
- 0:53Speaker 4: Hunh Yeah, lots of good things. Man.
- 0:55Speaker 5: You gotta look at the offense that they did their
- 0:56Speaker 5: thing defense have their moment. That wasn't great overall, but
- 1:00Speaker 5: when you needed a play to be made, it seems
- 1:01Speaker 5: like somebody steps up. Lots of new names out there,
- 1:05Speaker 5: not new names, but names were just not familiar with.
- 1:08Speaker 4: So yeah, let's break this down.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Let's waste no more time. Let's get into it. What
- 1:13Speaker 3: it happened, Let's see what happened.
- 1:15Speaker 6: At first, what happened was what that happened was unhawked talk.
- 1:22Speaker 1: But I thought this time around that it was not
- 1:24Speaker 1: supposed to be a shootout. I thought this was a
- 1:26Speaker 1: time it was going to be a defensive showdown potentially,
- 1:29Speaker 1: But boy, we were wrong.
- 1:30Speaker 3: And full disclosure.
- 1:31Speaker 1: When I made that prediction, I was hoping the Seahawks
- 1:34Speaker 1: will be a little more healthy. Obviously, the Seahawks were
- 1:36Speaker 1: missing a ton of guys on that front seven Leonard Williams,
- 1:39Speaker 1: Way Mafe Byron Murphy channing to Wolston and make it back.
- 1:42Speaker 1: So the Seahawks were behind the eight ball from the start.
- 1:45Speaker 1: But for the fourth straight year this matchup but combined
- 1:47Speaker 1: for more than sixty five total points. You know, when
- 1:50Speaker 1: the game kicked off, if they're both teams punted on
- 1:52Speaker 1: their opening drive, the Lions opened up the scoring with
- 1:54Speaker 1: an impressive ninety three yard twelve prey drive, ending when
- 1:57Speaker 1: the David Montgomery touchdown at him because he was a
- 2:00Speaker 1: problem all night long.
- 2:02Speaker 3: The Lions rushed for fifty.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Nine yards on that opening drive, making the score seven
- 2:06Speaker 1: nothing Detroit.
- 2:07Speaker 3: But the Seahawks would get the ball back.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Driving down the field, Gino Smith connected with DK Metcalf
- 2:12Speaker 1: and he was running people over going beast mode for
- 2:14Speaker 1: a fourteen yard game. After he truck the first guy,
- 2:18Speaker 1: unfortunately he got hit from behind, was stripped. The lines
- 2:21Speaker 1: picked it up, ran it back forty nine yards. The
- 2:23Speaker 1: Lions with then finand zone three plays later to go
- 2:26Speaker 1: at fourteen zero.
- 2:27Speaker 4: Bump.
- 2:28Speaker 5: That was tough man, going down fourteen zero against the lines.
- 2:31Speaker 5: You knew that it was going to be hard to
- 2:33Speaker 5: get back in this game, but they found a way.
- 2:35Speaker 5: Gino Smith and the Sales offense will respond with a
- 2:37Speaker 5: drive of their own. They go ten plays seventy yards
- 2:40Speaker 5: in a one yard touchdown K nine, making a score
- 2:42Speaker 5: of fourteen to seven. Detroit continued their success Man, they
- 2:46Speaker 5: drove down the field for seventy yards. They got a
- 2:48Speaker 5: one yard touchdown now from Gibbs and Lions on the
- 2:52Speaker 5: face one third down on that drive and they extended
- 2:55Speaker 5: the lead to twenty one to seven. You don't want
- 2:57Speaker 5: to see that. And then after a couple of punts
- 3:00Speaker 5: out of miss field goal, Seahawks would close the gap
- 3:03Speaker 5: after ten plays, seventy five yard drive seems seventy five
- 3:07Speaker 5: yards ending in a touchdown.
- 3:08Speaker 4: So rookie A J.
- 3:10Speaker 5: Barner, I wanted to see that so bad. That made
- 3:13Speaker 5: the score twenty one to fourteen. Big us to aj
- 3:16Speaker 5: Man first career touchdown.
- 3:18Speaker 3: No, definitely here you see the national champion from Michigan,
- 3:21Speaker 3: A J. Barner.
- 3:22Speaker 1: He joined us on Hawk's Live a couple of weeks ago,
- 3:24Speaker 1: So definitely cool to see those tight ends A getting
- 3:26Speaker 1: involved because that's going to be huge there. But Jared
- 3:30Speaker 1: Goff he come right back with another impressive drive, finding
- 3:33Speaker 1: the end zone in five plays, scoring on a trick
- 3:35Speaker 1: play that was a pass from a Monross Saint Brown
- 3:38Speaker 1: connecting with Jared Goff in the end zone. That made
- 3:40Speaker 1: it twenty eight to fourteen. But if you're feeling a
- 3:44Speaker 1: trend in this game, bump, it was how resilient the
- 3:46Speaker 1: Seahawks were because they always had an answer and they
- 3:48Speaker 1: are always trying to come back. Seahawks offense will be
- 3:50Speaker 1: unfazed again, responding going eighty yards eight plays, ending with
- 3:53Speaker 1: a one yard touchdown by ken Walker. The two point
- 3:56Speaker 1: conversion would fail. Definitely look like it was good, but
- 4:00Speaker 1: we're not going to get into that. That made the
- 4:02Speaker 1: score twenty eight to twenty. However, on the very next
- 4:05Speaker 1: offensive played, Jared Goffer connect with Jamison Williams for a
- 4:08Speaker 1: seventy yard touchdown. That made the score thirty five twenty
- 4:11Speaker 1: bump and the lines just kept coming back.
- 4:13Speaker 5: But like you literally too, man, the Hawks will respond,
- 4:16Speaker 5: you know, will lead the Seahawks down the field and
- 4:18Speaker 5: ken Walker finished it with a twenty one yard touchdown
- 4:21Speaker 5: run something that we needed to see ken Walker healthy
- 4:24Speaker 5: and making some plays man, and that made the game
- 4:27Speaker 5: thirty five to twenty seven. That was five consecutive possessions anyways,
- 4:32Speaker 5: touchdown for both teams. The Seahawks defense will come up
- 4:35Speaker 5: with a big time stop, giving the offense the ball
- 4:37Speaker 5: back early in the fourth quarter. The Hawks will convert
- 4:40Speaker 5: on a big fourth down as you know found JSN,
- 4:44Speaker 5: but officials called and offensive pass and defense and the
- 4:48Speaker 5: Seahawks would have to punt. I have feelings about that
- 4:51Speaker 5: pass and appearance. I don't think it was real. But
- 4:54Speaker 5: you know what, I'm just here so I don't get fined.
- 4:56Speaker 5: I guess I'm not gonna hop on these.
- 4:57Speaker 4: Rests like that.
- 4:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I was just a killer bump.
- 5:01Speaker 1: That was really hard because I felt the Seahawks were
- 5:03Speaker 1: driving and they were gonna come back and they were
- 5:04Speaker 1: gonna score on that drive and tie it up. Unfortunately,
- 5:08Speaker 1: the Lions would come back and essentially deliver what was
- 5:10Speaker 1: the final blow. They drove eighty yards seven plays, capped
- 5:13Speaker 1: with an eight yard touchdown to Monross Saint Brown, making
- 5:15Speaker 1: the score forty two to twenty seven. The Hawks would
- 5:18Speaker 1: drive down the field and the next drive, but turned
- 5:20Speaker 1: the ball over on downs on the three yard line
- 5:22Speaker 1: after a little bit of miscommunication down there. Jared Goffould
- 5:25Speaker 1: get sacked for safety later on, but it was too little,
- 5:27Speaker 1: too late, and the Hawks fell to the lines forty
- 5:29Speaker 1: two to twenty nine. But but when you look at
- 5:32Speaker 1: those other numbers, Man, the Seahawks had five hundred and
- 5:35Speaker 1: sixteen total yards of offense to Detroit's three eighty nine bump.
- 5:39Speaker 1: But it just wasn't enough.
- 5:42Speaker 5: Man crazy by sixteen at three eighty nine, they outrushed
- 5:46Speaker 5: the Detroit Lions one thirty three to one sixteen. Didn't
- 5:49Speaker 5: feel that way. It felt like Detroit was running all
- 5:51Speaker 5: over the yard. They had twenty eight more plays than Detroit,
- 5:55Speaker 5: and they won the time of possession. Going into this game,
- 5:57Speaker 5: you and I talked about the time of possession was.
- 5:59Speaker 4: Going to be huge.
- 6:00Speaker 5: I guess not for the lines where you're having all
- 6:02Speaker 5: these exposive plays. And the Hawks had a franchise record
- 6:05Speaker 5: thirty eight earth down man, but too many exposive plays
- 6:11Speaker 5: and Detroit. Dip your cap, hey catch the game in
- 6:15Speaker 5: the playoffs when we're at full of strength.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Though, yes, absolutely, and you're right that's what you took
- 6:20Speaker 1: the words of my mouth. You gotta tip your cap
- 6:21Speaker 1: because they're a good football team. They were in the
- 6:23Speaker 1: NFC Championship game last year. But it's definitely it was
- 6:27Speaker 1: a game where the Seahawks were right there. They absolutely
- 6:29Speaker 1: were in the game the entire time. It's a game
- 6:31Speaker 1: they could have won. So it's encouraging. You know, obviously
- 6:34Speaker 1: there's no more victories in the NFL, but it's encouraging
- 6:36Speaker 1: to see where they were at and how you know
- 6:38Speaker 1: that they could have beat a team with that caliber.
- 6:41Speaker 3: But despite the loss, there was a ton of playmakers.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Let's get to that touch playmakers. What time it is Holy.
- 6:56Speaker 1: We'll start with the quarterback, you knows smith Man. I
- 6:58Speaker 1: am so encouraged by what we're seeing from him. I
- 7:00Speaker 1: heard you on your show talking about it. How the
- 7:02Speaker 1: Seahaustin clearly win a Super Bowl. Geno Smith, because what
- 7:05Speaker 1: he is doing, he has been dominating. Thirty eight of
- 7:08Speaker 1: fifty six three hundred and ninety five yards, one touchdown,
- 7:11Speaker 1: one interceptions, set career highs and completions attempts yards thirty
- 7:17Speaker 1: eight of fifty six three ninety five set a franchise
- 7:20Speaker 1: record fifty six pass attempts. His thirty eight completions are
- 7:24Speaker 1: second most ever in franchise history. And he was just
- 7:28Speaker 1: you know, he did really well under pressure, Bump. That
- 7:30Speaker 1: was the most encouraging thing. Aiden Hutchinson was a problem.
- 7:34Speaker 1: We talked about that a lot on the postgame show
- 7:35Speaker 1: last night. He didn't record a stat but he was
- 7:37Speaker 1: his fingerprints all over this game. And Geno Smith, time
- 7:40Speaker 1: after time after time, was poised, stepped in the pockets
- 7:43Speaker 1: and just threw some dots all over the field. So
- 7:45Speaker 1: really good to see what Geno Smith is doing. He's
- 7:47Speaker 1: in a rhythm with Ryan Grubbs, so it's been fun
- 7:49Speaker 1: to watch him bump.
- 7:51Speaker 5: Yeah, Geno's in his own man toe, composed and calm,
- 7:53Speaker 5: doesn't seem flustered at all.
- 7:54Speaker 4: His emotions on point.
- 7:56Speaker 5: He's making these rows and small windows over the shoulder
- 7:59Speaker 5: with whatever you need, g you know, to do, he
- 8:01Speaker 5: can do it for you, especially if he he has
- 8:03Speaker 5: this man of throw too. DK Metcalf Severn receptions for
- 8:07Speaker 5: one hundred and four yards on twelve targets. He became
- 8:09Speaker 5: the first player in franchise history that back to back
- 8:13Speaker 5: to back one hundred yard games. You and I talked
- 8:15Speaker 5: about that. We're like, look, can't believe Steve Largen hasn't
- 8:18Speaker 5: done it. All these great receivers, Doug Ball and even
- 8:21Speaker 5: Tyler Lot who's on his team, he hasn't done it.
- 8:23Speaker 5: So the fact that he's able to do something no
- 8:25Speaker 5: receiver has done is impress him. He also had his
- 8:28Speaker 5: fifteenth career one hundred yard game, DK, keep doing your thing, man.
- 8:33Speaker 1: DK man, you love to see it. It's not something
- 8:36Speaker 1: we shouldn't be surprised by. It's DK Metcalf, but to
- 8:38Speaker 1: see it three weeks in a row just consistent. We
- 8:41Speaker 1: were hoping these receivers would have this kind of impact
- 8:43Speaker 1: with Ryan Grubb come in here just like at the
- 8:45Speaker 1: University of Washington. So great to see them balling out
- 8:48Speaker 1: the way they were. And then ken Walker, Thank God,
- 8:50Speaker 1: so happy ken Walker was back in the lineup. First
- 8:52Speaker 1: came backs this week one twelve carries, eighty yards, three touchdowns,
- 8:57Speaker 1: four receptions thirty six yards. Now has four touchdowns on
- 8:59Speaker 1: the season and had one of the most acrobatic plays
- 9:02Speaker 1: I think I have ever seen in all my years
- 9:03Speaker 1: watching football. His just his balance, everything he's been able
- 9:08Speaker 1: to do. I mean for him also that the presence
- 9:10Speaker 1: of mind to know he wasn't down. And that's how
- 9:12Speaker 1: when Tuney is with his body when he's on that
- 9:13Speaker 1: football field. So hats off to ken Walker. He's a
- 9:16Speaker 1: special dude. In the Seahawks offense is a different one.
- 9:19Speaker 1: When you have kN Walker in the backfield, then you
- 9:21Speaker 1: can get that one two buch with zach Sarboney.
- 9:23Speaker 3: So ken Walker doing big things.
- 9:24Speaker 4: Bump, Yeah, you don't.
- 9:27Speaker 5: You don't train for that little summersault that he did,
- 9:30Speaker 5: But you don't go to your trainer and say, look,
- 9:33Speaker 5: just in case I ain't down let me work on
- 9:36Speaker 5: his summer salt that I'm gonna do.
- 9:38Speaker 4: You just don't do it, man.
- 9:39Speaker 5: It was impressed though, big Kim Walker, Glad you're back
- 9:42Speaker 5: and healthy.
- 9:43Speaker 4: That's big of A. J.
- 9:44Speaker 5: Barne though Man two receptions over twenty seven yards, one touchdown,
- 9:48Speaker 5: his first NFL touchdown. He became the first playing franchise
- 9:52Speaker 5: history that have three. I'm sorry he didn't have freaking
- 9:54Speaker 5: expective games. AJ barn Man. He's what I like about
- 9:58Speaker 5: him is that his he's fluid, like he's smooth man.
- 10:02Speaker 4: And he's not like a real.
- 10:04Speaker 5: Explosive, get in and out of my breaks type of guy.
- 10:06Speaker 5: But he's the type of dude who fills the space.
- 10:09Speaker 5: And there's some dudes when you throw the football looks
- 10:12Speaker 5: like there's magnets on their hands and it just easily,
- 10:15Speaker 5: just it gets right into the sweet spot. That's what
- 10:17Speaker 5: I see with it, AJ, and its wag is on
- 10:20Speaker 5: the point too, man. I like the I like the
- 10:22Speaker 5: the way he puts the uniform together. I'm big with
- 10:25Speaker 5: just you know, how guys put themselves together. AJ Barner
- 10:28Speaker 5: is one of those dudes. Oh absolutely, they'll touchdown, that's
- 10:31Speaker 5: in the end. Yes, good stuff. A j Barner and
- 10:34Speaker 5: bump way to be a good teammate.
- 10:35Speaker 4: Man.
- 10:35Speaker 1: You didn't throw me under the bus. I made an air,
- 10:38Speaker 1: a copy and paste air, and that messed you up.
- 10:40Speaker 1: But you were such a professional. Steamed right through like.
- 10:42Speaker 4: It was no problem. Oh right through.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Love it, love it. Give some more props here and playmakers,
- 10:48Speaker 1: Derek Hall. You know, the defense didn't make a ton
- 10:51Speaker 1: of stops. Obviously they didn't play the game that they
- 10:53Speaker 1: wanted to play. But Derek Hall is still doing his thing.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Four tackles, one sack, one TfL, one QB hit. And
- 10:58Speaker 1: the way he got that sack, the way he grabbed
- 11:01Speaker 1: Jared Goff with one hand and just threw him to
- 11:02Speaker 1: the ground. Derek Call, he's already done it. Earlier this
- 11:05Speaker 1: year we had that huge game against the Dolphins. So
- 11:07Speaker 1: happy to see Derek what he's doing. And then Tyrol Dotson,
- 11:10Speaker 1: he's out there, ten tackles, one TfL.
- 11:13Speaker 3: He's all over the place.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Man.
- 11:14Speaker 1: And if you can keep we've been talking about it,
- 11:16Speaker 1: if you can keep Lineman from getting to that next
- 11:19Speaker 1: level and getting hands on Dotson, it's really good watching
- 11:22Speaker 1: him run around the football field because he's been a
- 11:24Speaker 1: special to see so while the Seahawks didn't get the
- 11:27Speaker 1: job done and they didn't play as well as they'd
- 11:29Speaker 1: hope overall, Bump, you can't say enough about this receiving core,
- 11:33Speaker 1: what they were able to do on Monday night.
- 11:36Speaker 5: Yeah, let's talk about him man and got dk Metcalf
- 11:39Speaker 5: like I mentioned, seven for one oh four back to
- 11:42Speaker 5: back to back huney yard games.
- 11:43Speaker 4: First do that.
- 11:44Speaker 5: Tyler lockat that five for sixty one on nine targets.
- 11:47Speaker 5: JSN had eight fifty one. Zach charbaday Man, he was
- 11:51Speaker 5: he was key in this game. Late in the game.
- 11:53Speaker 5: He made the plays five for thirty nine. Ken Walker
- 11:55Speaker 5: had four receptions for thirty six. Jake Bobo b wal
- 12:00Speaker 5: Ver player many of the do man always represent. He
- 12:03Speaker 5: had three for thirty He got aj Barnard two for
- 12:06Speaker 5: twenty seven, Noah Fan two for twenty six. La Viscus
- 12:09Speaker 5: should not have one for eighteen, and thorough Brown had
- 12:12Speaker 5: one for three. Autumn tight ends getting involved. All you
- 12:14Speaker 5: needed was Russell to get a reception.
- 12:16Speaker 4: And everyone was invited to the party.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Well, anytime you have that many receptions going around, you know,
- 12:23Speaker 1: Gino Smith had three hundred and ninety five yards to
- 12:25Speaker 1: spread around. Everybody, So definitely cool to see that. And
- 12:28Speaker 1: this receiver course humming. This offense is just hitting their stride.
- 12:31Speaker 1: So I'm really looking forward to what this unit can do.
- 12:34Speaker 4: Now.
- 12:34Speaker 3: There was a ton of exposive plays, a ton of things.
- 12:36Speaker 1: That we got to see from the offense on Monday night,
- 12:39Speaker 1: but one I just wanted to highlight our play of
- 12:40Speaker 1: the game, and this is just ken Walker's twenty one
- 12:43Speaker 1: yard touchdown run against those Lions.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Stacy in the backfield this time single wide out to
- 12:50Speaker 2: each side. Motion across the formation is the tight end.
- 12:53Speaker 6: Toss to Walker, cuts back inside, turns up field down
- 12:56Speaker 6: to the fifteenth. He's gonna score ten time he does touchdown.
- 13:01Speaker 6: Say Hawks from twenty one.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Out ken Walker the third welcome back.
- 13:07Speaker 6: Brother, big score for the Hawks again getting back in
- 13:11Speaker 6: the game, and again Dave great blocking at the point
- 13:14Speaker 6: of attack.
- 13:16Speaker 1: But ken Walker special and the Seahawks are not the
- 13:19Speaker 1: same team with Adhim. What do you see on this run?
- 13:23Speaker 4: Yeah, versus starts with personnel.
- 13:25Speaker 5: You got two tight ends out there, and you got
- 13:30Speaker 5: aj Barney to the right, you got Pharrell Brown to
- 13:32Speaker 5: the left, you got dk split out to the right,
- 13:35Speaker 5: and Tire the locket to the left. There is actually
- 13:38Speaker 5: what I believe to be an assigmon arrow on this player.
- 13:41Speaker 5: I'm looking at AJ Barner motion over. I guarantee you
- 13:45Speaker 5: they don't want Parol Brown and AJ to double team
- 13:47Speaker 5: that one player. Farrel Brown is probably supposed to work
- 13:51Speaker 5: up to the linebacker and AJ kicks out that ash
- 13:55Speaker 5: player right there. Nonetheless, they double team that guy right there,
- 14:00Speaker 5: and the guy who's left open, who I think Farrel
- 14:01Speaker 5: Brown was supposed to get, gets into the backfield. But
- 14:04Speaker 5: K nine just puts that left foot in the ground
- 14:06Speaker 5: and runs by you. Then he gets to the safety
- 14:09Speaker 5: and he hits another gear and he turns the corner man.
- 14:12Speaker 5: He is just so fast and explosive. Even when there
- 14:15Speaker 5: seems to be an assignmon error, he's able to clean
- 14:18Speaker 5: things up, make things right, and score a touchdown.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:22Speaker 1: What I love about that too, is honestly just about
- 14:24Speaker 1: ken Walker and his playmaking ability. But the corner on
- 14:27Speaker 1: that play, I'm sure he has secondary force and he's
- 14:30Speaker 1: standing out there and he has an angle on ken
- 14:33Speaker 1: Walker that just shows you his gift to his speed.
- 14:35Speaker 1: He has the angle, he has all the field, and
- 14:37Speaker 1: all of a sudden, that leverage or ran out like that,
- 14:40Speaker 1: and all of a sudden, now Ken Walker's getting to
- 14:42Speaker 1: the corner and he's wondering what the heck happened, and
- 14:44Speaker 1: his coach is asking him, how on the earth did
- 14:46Speaker 1: you let that happen? When he's probably saying, well, coach
- 14:48Speaker 1: number nine is special. Okay, number nine is special. So
- 14:54Speaker 1: love to see that from Ken. But bump Man, this
- 14:56Speaker 1: is this is the first time we've been here. The
- 14:59Speaker 1: clock just ran out on the Seahawks. Normally we're getting
- 15:01Speaker 1: in victory formation. Unfortunately, on Monday night, the clock just
- 15:04Speaker 1: ran out.
- 15:09Speaker 4: On me.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Taken by Hunley. They're just gonna left the clock wine down.
- 15:12Speaker 2: I'm not even gonna bother taking that last time out.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Unfortunately, it was the first loss of the Mike McDonald era.
- 15:19Speaker 1: The Lions broke their six game losing streak to the
- 15:22Speaker 1: Seattle Seahawks with their first win against them since twenty twelve.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Like we said, the Hawks put up a huge fight
- 15:28Speaker 1: considering who they were missing Leonard Williams, Byron Murphy Boy
- 15:32Speaker 1: and Mafi or Chennon and Woesu Bob. If you take
- 15:35Speaker 1: any team in the National Football League and you take
- 15:37Speaker 1: those players away from their front, their equivalent of those players,
- 15:40Speaker 1: it's gonna be a hard day, especially against a team
- 15:43Speaker 1: like the Detroit Lions.
- 15:44Speaker 4: Bump.
- 15:46Speaker 5: Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I respect the opponent. Detroit
- 15:49Speaker 5: Lions a great game plan. I mean, you have played
- 15:51Speaker 5: a seventy forty thirty, twenty nine, seventeen and ten. Golf
- 15:55Speaker 5: was eighteen out of eighteen. But let's see when we're healthy,
- 15:59Speaker 5: you know. But Ben Johnson caught a great game. That
- 16:02Speaker 5: defense was on point, taking nothing away from them, and
- 16:05Speaker 5: the offense for the Hawks just feel good, man, I mean,
- 16:07Speaker 5: come on, man, every time you needed to play, they
- 16:10Speaker 5: put themselves in position to do that. Geno Smith said,
- 16:12Speaker 5: a career high in almost every passing category. And then
- 16:16Speaker 5: like we mentioned DK being the first receiver to have
- 16:19Speaker 5: three consecutive one hundred yard game. There's so many positive
- 16:23Speaker 5: five hundred and sixteen yards of offense that the Hawks have. Man,
- 16:26Speaker 5: thirty eight first down, come on now, I can't wait
- 16:30Speaker 5: till next week.
- 16:31Speaker 4: I can't wait.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Yeah, it's gonna be a short memory because you know,
- 16:34Speaker 1: there's so many positive to build off of that. And
- 16:36Speaker 1: you look and you go, this is what they did
- 16:39Speaker 1: when they weren't perfect, right when they're still getting comfortable
- 16:42Speaker 1: and they're still building off of every single week, so
- 16:45Speaker 1: it could be scary good. This is just four weeks
- 16:47Speaker 1: of what this offense could be. So you got the
- 16:49Speaker 1: Giants coming into town, which we're gonna break down next
- 16:51Speaker 1: week but or later this week.
- 16:53Speaker 3: I'm excited, like you said, I'm excited.
- 16:55Speaker 1: I'm also excited defensively because we get to see how
- 16:58Speaker 1: the Seahawks respond to the first lost With coach McDonald,
- 17:01Speaker 1: I know he talks all the time about making it right.
- 17:03Speaker 1: They're gonna make it right and they're gonna get guys back,
- 17:05Speaker 1: and it's gonna be really cool to see how these
- 17:08Speaker 1: guys respond in that sense. But you know, like we said,
- 17:11Speaker 1: Bump Hawk's battle, the good team on the road came
- 17:14Speaker 1: up short. This team, once they get to full strength,
- 17:17Speaker 1: watch out because the foundation is being built here in Seattle.
- 17:21Speaker 1: All right, guys, that's gonna do it for us a
- 17:23Speaker 1: short edition of Hawk Talk Recap. We're gonna be back
- 17:26Speaker 1: on Thursday with the preview, breaking down these Giants and
- 17:28Speaker 1: how the seas can get back in the win column.
