- 0:56[SPEAKER_00]: Real scores, real records.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_00]: And even superlatives.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_01]: I got one.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: I was thinking about one superlative.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_01]: And I guess we could look it up to you on it now,
- 1:11[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm, let's do it when we get to the end of season super, which is, all right.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: Well, let's get it right into what we do know that, so.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_00]: Sunday, the Miami Dolphins play in Las Vegas, week one, against the Las Vegas Frators, Kirk Cousins is starting, no Fernando Bendoza unless something happens.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: In the game, they view of Malik Wallace, Caleb Douglas, Jacob Rodriguez, who we know now, will be wearing the green dock in Miami alongside Jordan Brooks.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_00]: I think the debut will be promising in that game off.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and that should be fun.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_01]: It looks like I shouldn't have been probably not going to play in that game.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_01]: I do like Mike Washington a bit, so the running game is going to be fine.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's a pretty good.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_01]: It's a pretty good setup to see some of our defensive players.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think the Raiders pose too much of a danger except with their titans.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: So this is one of those games and there's a few on the schedule.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_01]: where the dolphins are just gonna have the better roster.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_01]: They're gonna have the better players.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_01]: They're gonna have a big advantage at quarterback.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_01]: And this is one of them.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_01]: So I do expect them to win this game.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I do think Wolist's debut is going to be promising in this game.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's going to have a decent of Bocchio mix in place with this legs.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see a bit of the chemistry you share with Caleb Douglas and Devonney Chain and Greg Dolcech, but
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, man, I think this dolphin secondary is very, very young, and I think they'll get picked on later on in the game, and I think that's where the inexperience will come in.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_00]: And I think Kirk Cousins closes out late.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: I have a 23 to 20 raiders went on this one.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_01]: I can't give you scores for every game, but I can give you a score for this one.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_01]: I got Miami winning in 2423 with a Rally Patterson field goal.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_01]: I don't have many issues with the starting corners for the Miami Dolphins.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_01]: I actually kind of like some of these players.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: I like to use your brands a lot.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_01]: I like Chris Johnson.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_01]: A lot.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_01]: I think they have enough players to play a lot of coverages on the other side that don't really matter too much.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_01]: their safety is where the problems come, and for your safety is to be stressed.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_01]: It has to be teams that are going to really rely on 11 personal writers and not one of them.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_01]: So I actually feel pretty good about this one.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_01]: And they even have players to, to, to guard, uh, powers.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_01]: So I kind of feel okay about the defense in this one.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: There's a few games beginning with the 40 mangers, where they're going to get stressed in that secondary chiefs as well.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_01]: Vikings like it's just one after the other that I see on the on the schedule, but this is not one of them.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of feel good about this game.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think you mentioned the remaining three games we talked about in San Francisco, our home versus Kansas City and then.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: in Minneapolis against the Vikings, I have them all as losses.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: Although, I do have a close one up against the chiefs, the home opener, patch my homes is healthy, right?
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: But before we get to that one, 49ers and their substation, man, I think just that,
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: They're in the West Coast, so it's not that bad, but I don't think their run game can get to that level as it was last year, and I think even though the 49ers defensive front is injured, I think it'll still control most of the game.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, uh, this game against the 49ers, the only seven races at the 49ers will be, uh, we're traveling across country.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_01]: They're traveling around the world.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_01]: They're coming back from Australia for this game.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe that helps the dolphins.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_01]: If it's going to help the dolphins, it's going to have to help them.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_01]: actually have the like the 49ers sleepwalk to start the game and the dolphins get out in front that's kind of how I see that game going like I don't think it'll be crazy to think that the dolphins might be ahead, ten nothing in that game but I got them losing by by two scores against the 49ers.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: 49ers are very injured right now to actually put up a big number on anybody but I think they won't come for play against the dolphins.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and then Kansas City in the home opener, I think my middle age in the fourth quarter, and then my home does what he does, right, my home is magic, but I do think it'll be a step forward to see, okay, like, hey, this team at home.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: They can go toe to toe with some of the AFC doorlings with some of the big guys, even though they might not have the talent, but I think the foundation is there or later on you're like, okay, there's definitely something here with Malay Bullis.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_00]: There's something here with the offensive line, even though the defense is young, their young pups, their biting and they're getting that experience.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_00]: And then I
- 6:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_01]: I agree.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_01]: I agree completely on this one with you.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_01]: The problem is there's one thing that's going to help the dolphins.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_01]: I want that's going to hurt the dolphins.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_01]: What's going to help the dolphins in this game against the chiefs is that it's the chief style to actually just keep you close.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_01]: like they don't blow too many teams out.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_01]: And actually last year when they were bad is when they were actually getting out in front of teams.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_01]: But usually when they've had this amazing run in their dynasty, they keep games close, basically by design.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_01]: If they do that, dolphins are going to look all right in the scoreboard, but the chiefs have it decided.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_01]: You heard the term, decided schematic event at Vantage?
- 7:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_01]: Charlie Weiss is the one who said it, but when he said it, it was kind of stupid because he said it when he was the offensive coordinator I believe for Notre Dame and the team was absolutely awful, I believe.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I think the chiefs, they just built to destroy this dolphin second area, they're going to stress the safety's way too much.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_01]: And if there's a game that could get away from the dolphin second, the first, like I'm looking at the first eight games, it's that one.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, then I'm in a soda, tough road environment.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: I think Brian Flores's defense stresses Bobby slow it a lot, especially the run game.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: And I think HN gets bottled up and milk will as can't do anything throughout the air in that game.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: And then Cincinnati, at home, I had this as a win.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: First win in the column.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_00]: And I think Devon HN has a big
- 8:16[SPEAKER_00]: big day there.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's a franchise caliber performance in front of the home crowd look.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: Cincinnati has always had a suspect room defense, right?
- 8:25[SPEAKER_00]: Their edge rusher's cannot set the edge when it comes to defending the run.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_00]: I think we see again another coming out party with some of the rookies namely Kate and Proctor right next to Aaron Bruer.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: I think the left side of the
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: One of the things we saw that, oh, like, this is gonna be a powerful running team.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna see different run concept variations of, you know, duo, counter power on the left side.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that game is the one to prove it.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I agree.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_01]: I completely agree.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_01]: Going right back to the Vikings game, Vikings is also going to be a very different game.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_01]: Their offense, I believe, is going to be good.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think the Vikings are going to have a pretty decent offense.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_01]: Their defense, it's Bryan Flores.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you know what he's going to want to do.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_01]: He wants to put people into gaps, right?
- 9:21[SPEAKER_01]: So, my was going to have to have a lot of counters to that.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to have to throw the ball to HN on a ton.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_01]: in that game because it's just not going to be a lot of a lot of time for for your quarterback to make plays.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_01]: I think that the Dolphins I make a couple of plays and they'll lose in a low scoring affair against the Vikings.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_01]: The Bengals, that's the one that I'm really, really undecided on because things could go south for the Bengals like they usually do early on in the season and then they correct themselves.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_01]: If that's the case, then Miami could find themselves in a tight one late, but the Bengals are one of those teams, and I counted like six on the schedule that are essentially built to stress our safeties.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_01]: And they're wonderful.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that that's the problem.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_01]: I think they hit two big plays late.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_01]: And I have the dolphins losing against the Bengals.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_01]: By double digits.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: Oh wow.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: Oh week six is a buy in week seven.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: The dolphins had to New York to play the jets.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: First, the visual game the year coming off of a buy week.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure Jeff Haffley will know exactly what to do.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_00]: He controls the game plan.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_00]: The defense bottles up the jets, but they eat it out in a close one.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_00]: And Malik Lewis is able.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: to manage the game.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: I also have the winning against the Jets at home week 12 by double Jets making it a sweep of the Jets and I think you know Jacob Rodriguez will be a big one there especially in the defense controlling the middle of the defense doing what he cannot but up against that Jets offense.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: with all the hype of the judge that they have every single year like hey they say like the dolphins is this is our year we're gonna be good we'll at least be middle of the pack we're gonna fight for a spot it's never the same case
- 11:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I got the Dolphins sweeping the chest this year.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's just the Dolphins will have an advantage on the roster.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_01]: And that's hard to explain to people knowing that they're operating like 45% of the salary.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_01]: So the Dolphins, essentially, are going up against teams with half of a football team.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_01]: I think that they're half of a football team is better than the jet's whole football team.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_01]: So I got the Dolphins with beating both.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_01]: being the jets and both games by a lot.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not so sure that dolphins are built to beat anybody by a lot of points.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just say that they win comfortable six point or seven point wins.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_01]: Both of them.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: Right after New York, they have a two game homestand up against the Patriots and the Lions.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: and then in a way game in Indianapolis, that's their third trade trip to Indianapolis, and I think all three games the Dolphins lose.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_00]: However, I do think it's a close one and it begins the Patriots and the Lions at home, both are physical battles, but just those two teams have much more talent and a much deeper roster than the Dolphins.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think the Dolphins play the Patriots tight.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_01]: I think the lions are one of those teams.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_01]: They're one of the six that are wrote down, where it's just like they're going to stress your safety so much.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_01]: That could be a game that looks terrible for Miami.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_01]: Like that could be one of those games where you lose 45, that's just one of those games.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_01]: I do have them beating the cults.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_01]: I don't like teams that finish up a season poorly,
- 12:38[SPEAKER_01]: and then go into the offseason and do very little changes.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_01]: Very few changes.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_01]: The culture one of those teams that ended the season last year poorly.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_01]: If you remember at one point the one seed almost a little bit past midseason and they missed the playoffs completely.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_01]: I don't like teams that I don't, yeah, I don't like teams that fall apart down the stretch and then come into the next season to run it back.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: Do you see what happens to the dolphins?
- 13:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think the Colts are running it back and I think they regress and I think Miami Catches them, you know, in a close game, but I think they beat them.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_00]: So I got my winning there for their third one of the season of mine Yeah, I have them page for a three point loss of begins into anapolis and then they go up north to Buffalo Okay, I think they're gonna look pretty bad in that game.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_00]: I mean
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: their whole operation is simply ahead at least offensively and maybe even defensively where my image right now and I think it just gets away in the second half.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: They keep it tight throughout the first and second quarter and by the time halftime comes around the bills turn it on, Josh Allen turns it on and it's just a blow up at that point.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, up off low, not much hope in that game, I don't think.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_00]: And then, you know, we said that they win up against the Jets at home week 12 and 13.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_00]: That's going to be an interesting game to see.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_00]: That's where Jalen model faces his full former team.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's one of the two games that faces a cold stretch as well.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_00]: And we're going to see what Jeff Hathley's team.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: is built mentally and physically and if they're tough and if they can battle out the cold, they can go up against a playoff team in the Denver Broncos that have a very rich defense and a very, very deep offensive roster full of firepower.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the Broncos game is that's one of the six.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_01]: They have three left on the schedule as I can see right here.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_01]: It's Broncos,
- 14:44[SPEAKER_00]: should figure to be pretty rough for Miami, then the bears, the back home, but I think they get into a rhythm up against the bears.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_00]: I would not expect the bears to have a Cinderella like season as they did last year, even though they were all their offensive land, they have more firepower as well.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_00]: If you take a look at Calametrics, Caleb Williams, data metrics.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, his numbers look good, but his data metrics in terms of the pocket.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_00]: Not necessarily his A.D., or a YPBR, but just how he operates in the pocket into the third season.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_00]: He's not getting into the rhythm.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, he has his wide receivers, but Ben Johnson has two years of tape on him.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_00]: He has very similar scheme as Sean McBay, Kyle Shanahan, with his own route and stuff.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_00]: Jeff Hathley saw that, all right, when he was in Green Bay for the last two years, I think he takes advantage and learned from the last two years and dials up one hell of a game plan up against Ben Johnson to stop them in Miami.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: And I think they win this game by double dudes.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_01]: I think that this game is going to be close.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think my movement will make it look good, but the bears, I think have too much firepower for Miami.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_01]: It'll be, there'll be some scoreboard pressure, and I got them losing this game, close, but I got them losing to the bears.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_00]: All right, the Nickelback to Green Bay, Jeff Haftly and John Erick Sullivan.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_00]: I have them losing this game at Lambo, okay?
- 16:19[SPEAKER_00]: Old building, the emotion of the storyline does not necessarily translate to a scoreboard December and Treen Bay is hard for the dolphins.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they try to do that and they try to do that a couple of years ago, they couldn't eat it out.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they eat it out.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_00]: I think it becomes a one score game and the packers pretty much drive down the field and when the game
- 16:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I have the Packers winning kind of comfortably, but I could see the Dolphins offense playing well against Green Bay.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_01]: We don't know how healthy they'll be by this point, but that's one of those teams that have marked down as pretty dangerous against the Dolphins safety rule.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_01]: But why there should be bad?
- 17:06[SPEAKER_01]: We have a cold weather quarterback now and cold weather philosophy, so it's a close game, but the offense unfortunately don't have the horses to be the first.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_00]: Next up is the homecoming of Mike McDonald against the Los Angeles chargers.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's gonna be a tight game.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_00]: We know what McDonald's offense looks like.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_00]: We know what his roster is with the entry history, is with Mike McDaniel and how he does later on into the season.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's gonna be a very tight game where Miami looks to eat it out.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: But it potentially slips away in the final two minutes.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think it just becomes, you know, a talent perspective at that point.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_00]: The chargers have, you know, a better roster in terms of death on the offense and the defense of side of the ball.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_00]: And that's where it comes to.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_01]: I think maybe wins that game.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_01]: If you're looking at one unit that you can actually point to the Dolphins being elite, that's their defense attack a room.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_01]: That's the name of the county, can it's great.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_01]: If you come back online.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_01]: So I actually do like the Dolphins defense attack a room quite a bit.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's one of the best in the NFL in my opinion.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: And then conversely, if you want to look for a room that is absolutely awful, it's the chargers interior offensive line.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that's a matchup made in Mike McDaniel purgatory, that's something that happened to Mike McDaniel consistently down here.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_01]: And I think Miami wins on the strength of that.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_01]: And that gives them their final win on my prediction to give them five wins.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_01]: And at this point, that we five in 10, they'll finish five in 12, in my opinion.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_01]: And that gives them their fifth win of the season.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_01]: I guess the chargers at home.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_00]: So we both have them losing against Buffalo week 17 for sure.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_00]: But my fifth win for them is actually in New England.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's a meaningless game for the Patriots.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_00]: They're already in the standings between them and Buffalo fighting for a seat.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's already settled by a week 17 when the bills be Miami.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, I don't think doing that is going to fight for a seed at weekends, especially if they're heading into the playoffs with Drake, May, and AJ Brown, they see the dolphins.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_00]: They're like, okay, whatever, you know, we don't want them to go to good pick.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_00]: And then I think for Jeff Hathley, they'll play for the win.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_00]: He'll play for the result.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_00]: He wants to see what this team looks like heading into the offseason and wants that momentum.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_00]: He wants that high note.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the Patriots, that game could be completely meaningless.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_01]: They could be out of the playoffs.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_01]: They could also be a team that needs this game to get into the playoffs.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_01]: I think it'll be something like that.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think the Patriots will need to win this game to make the playoffs.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_01]: And I think they'll be the dolphins.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to be at home.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_01]: They should be pretty comfortable.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_01]: So I got that I have them with the win.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_00]: Alright, before we get into our superlatives and forecast of what we think may happen besides the game, we will head to break.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_00]: Football season is here in Thursday, Saturday, Sundays, Mondays, just got way more interesting.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_00]: The My Booky Lockdown season is back in the first one is an absolutely no-brainer.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_00]: With the Patriots in Seattle for NFL kickoff, My Booky is asking one simple question.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_00]: Will a Seahawks razor a championship banner at that night?
- 20:40[SPEAKER_00]: Of course they will.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_00]: They're the defending champs, is their home opener, and raising the banner before kick-off is part of the celebration.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_00]: And you're getting that bet at plus money odds.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_00]: That's the first my bookie lock of the season, and there will be more coming all season long.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_00]: Download the up today or click on the link in the description.

- 21:22[SPEAKER_00]: All righty, I think now we're at the fun park of the show, injury forecast for the season, season superlatives and a look to the 2027 NFL draft, Alph.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, if we're talking injury forecast any time that I make a prediction for a season, I'm assuming perfect Alph.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_01]: So, I got the five with perfect health and when I say perfect health, I'm not talking about all 53 and I'm not even talking about all 22.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_01]: I'm talking about health at the positions that matter.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_01]: And on this team, it's quarterback left tackle.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_01]: interior offensive line yet to have at least two of those three for the season.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_01]: So that means brewer and either proctor, brewer or Jonah have to be there for all 17 games.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_01]: One wide receiver.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_01]: One of the starters have to have to remain online.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_01]: Brooks, sealer, Phillips.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's important.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_01]: Chop Robinson, Dante Trader, to do breads.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_01]: Those are the most important ones on the roster.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_01]: Any one of those guys gets injured.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_01]: It creates a domino effect going forward.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_01]: Who creates the biggest domino effect?
- 22:41[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's Patrick Paul that creates the biggest domino effect.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_01]: But a close second is to do do breads.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_01]: because I think Juju Bruns is a guy who plays, if he plays 17 games, I think he's playing for somebody else next year, or possibly for this team, but at $15 million a year, like I think he could be a pricey cornerback.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_01]: because he has, he has it all.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_00]: His problem is he can't stay healthy and I think you mentioned, you know, just some of these injuries exposes the margins, right?
- 23:14[SPEAKER_00]: Like offensive line, yeah, you have 10 offensive linemen on the roster, but
- 23:19[SPEAKER_00]: one starter injury, especially at tackle, you know, it tests the integrity of the entire offense, like you think Cox and Caden Wallace, even though they played, you know, in the preseason, they played against second and third teams.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_00]: They played against scrubs, not necessarily, you know, first team starters, right?
- 23:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think with the workload Devon H and is gonna get, given his injury history the last two seasons, I'm betting on,
- 23:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think betting on a full uninterrupted 17 game workload for Hane is the riskiest assumption we all can make.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_00]: I think you will have a midseason Nick that cost him two to three weeks and that's like the max.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think we're going to see an oligore in Jalen right time share closely when it happens.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_00]: The safety room, man, I really don't feel good about this.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how well Jeff Hathley felt about this midway in the off season.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_00]: I felt like they could have done something there, maybe a free agent to plug that also the integrity and the youth at least has some type of experience and some one of a veteran leader so that way they can coach as the games go.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_00]: I don't necessarily have
- 24:38[SPEAKER_00]: full faith in confidence in Zayn Anderson being that guy.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_00]: And then I have Kenneth Grant and Traymore returning by week eight off.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_00]: Both of them opening the season on IR but I think they both come back two weeks after the buy.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah one one position that I don't think that really really matters all that much on this team is safety because it's entirely possible that
- 25:06[SPEAKER_01]: You can get an injured safety and the guy who steps in for him is probably going to be better because they don't have much depth there.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_01]: So the talent level, the talent disparity is not that big.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_01]: That's why I would never included him in my essentials list, but I did because if Dante trader goes down.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_01]: You're talking about essentially just random people playing safety for this team and hoping that they work out.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_01]: One wallcard in this whole situation is Carlos.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_01]: We know Carlos is gonna be in sub packages.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_01]: We know he's gonna be playing essentially big nickel.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe as the season wears on, this is not something you're gonna see week one, but I think that by week, let's say 10, it might be something that's already in their bag and maybe Carlos is now playing full time.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_00]: You have not playing the Patrick Tonerull pretty much.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, pretty much.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, in a straight up, you know, in a 42 defense, you know, I mean, a traditional 425, he could be in that role.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_01]: So that could be their base and that could mitigate some of the issues that they're going to have, but not everything, but not everything.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_00]: That's still going to be that's where you're run defense and took it in Terry, and that's where you're Caso and you're
- 26:31[SPEAKER_01]: Well, people would think, oh, it's running back, you know, you kind of like all the Gordon-General right now.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_01]: That's their, their thinnest position because that's where the biggest drop-off is on the entire roster because from Devon H and to your RB2 and RB3, it's a massive
- 26:49[SPEAKER_01]: golf.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_00]: You're really good in the Mariana Trinch at that point.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the other position is a tackle, you know, as a tackle, like, that that's where you're the thinnest because the drop-off between Patrick Paul and whoever's going to play a left tackle off to him is massive.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_01]: I saved you like again, again, like I said, not so much.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_01]: I think a cornerback.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's pretty huge.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_00]: Are you ready for superlatives?
- 27:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I got one, although I can think of a few more, but I got one, I got one for sure.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_01]: I don't believe a dolphin quarterback has had 30 total touchdowns since Damarino.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_01]: I got Malik Wallace with 30 touchdowns this year, 25 passing five rushing.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_01]: is that enough to have them be the man going forward?
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: I think that yeah, that's that's a supportive that you could say and I understand five wins and you're like, well, if you had to 25 and five, then they got four more than five wins, you know, nine necessarily go back and look at the Sean Watson.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_01]: He won four games.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_01]: And I believe we had 38 total touchdowns.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_01]: You know, all right.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, Matthew Staffer and I believe had 40 touchdowns a season that they won five games.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_01]: And I believe Breeze had 42 touchdowns in a season where they won eight games.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, it's entire marino had 40 touchdowns in a season where they won eight games.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so yeah, it's entirely possible to have monster numbers as a quarterback.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_00]: That's no matter that much of the team is in that good.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and and not have a lot of team success.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_01]: I have everyone.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_01]: If you want another surprise, I'll give you one more.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_01]: They'll have two all rookies on defense.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_00]: Jacob Rodriguez and Chris Johnson and Chris Johnson.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_00]: I have the best rookie being Jacob Rodriguez winning that Mike job away from a veteran before we won even arrives.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_00]: being the green dot.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_00]: He was one of them, you know, most talked about defensive rookies and precedes in coverage from every single media outlet.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_00]: And he's going to be a long term building block at a premium position from day one.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_00]: Most improved chop robins and I think we saw it all throughout training camp.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_00]: and even preseason.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_00]: I 100% believe he pulls it together this year and he's much more disruptive against the raw run.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_00]: He finally puts that pure speed restrates into a complete game and is able to turn that speed into power.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_00]: I think you can flip flop between team MVP and offensive player
- 29:34[SPEAKER_00]: That's my hot tank.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_01]: I could see that.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_01]: Then that's a possibility.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_00]: That's it for superlatives and 2027 NFL draft with the dolphins coming in at 5 and 12.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_00]: I have them having the fifth pick in the 2027 NFL draft and their first pick
- 30:05[SPEAKER_00]: They need more people in the secondary.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_00]: And I think Leonard Moore fits Jeff Adley's defense like a glove.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_00]: And I think Jeff Adley's already a man crushing on Leonard Moore.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_00]: And look, right now he's a true blue chip quarterback one who's been mocked inside the top 10 all year long.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_00]: You know, outside corner back,
- 30:29[SPEAKER_00]: for the mind of dolphins.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_00]: And if you what you say is true about juju brence and he gets paid for a different team.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think my I was going to pay.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_00]: Juju brence that much given his injury history.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_00]: Outside corner will definitely be a need for my way.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_00]: They already have a guy in Chris Johnson at Nickel.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe Jason Marshall Jr. can be a decent.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_00]: corner back to, but the dolphins need a star bonnified corner back one and lend it more as that cut.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_01]: I would agree with you with the pick that they'll have, but I think the 5 and 12 brings in danger of getting the 6th and the 7th pick because it's happened before, it's actually been kind of common that it happens before.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't think Leonard Moore will be there.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_01]: I think Leonard Moore is the second position player off the board behind Jeremiah Smith.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_01]: Now, that's the case, then I have them taking Cam Coleman.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I receive her from Texas.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_01]: So I guess if I'm going to call my shot now, I'll say Cam Coleman, Texas.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I receive her.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_00]: All right, and round two early, the Dolphin Sica Notre-Norodame Defender here, back to back Notre-Norodame Defender.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_00]: And I think this is going to be a legitimate value break.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_00]: Tade Johnson, starting safety for the fighting Irish.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_00]: And he, he's drawing first round buzz.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_00]: real call Hamilton comparisons all season, but we do know mock drafts are volatile and top of the round to landing spot for a team drafting this early look.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_00]: Remember the dolphins drafted Javanohol and around this area too.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_00]: They needed a safety.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to need another safety as well alongside Michael Taffian, Dante, Trader, Truner.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_00]: Tejons is going to be that guy.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_00]: And then round three early.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_00]: I think they go defense again here.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they really need to build out what Jeff
- 32:26[SPEAKER_00]: behind Josh UJ and child Robinson, the dolphins aren't going to have anybody else, okay?
- 32:32[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that question is going to linger on into December.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_00]: I have Damon Wilson the third.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_01]: I would say this.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_01]: I don't expect to be back unless he's back on a new contract he's here to get a payday the following season.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, maybe plays well enough that they actually want to bring them back.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that the emphasis on day two of the draft next year will be on the defensive side of the ball because I haven't taken
- 33:02[SPEAKER_01]: an offensive player in the first half, in the first round and in draft next year, because I think the premium is going to be on those positions at that time.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_01]: So, I think that they're going to be mining the depths for edge talent.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_01]: And Damon Wilson, the second is...
- 33:24[SPEAKER_01]: Although you didn't have a monster game, just watch them in that game against damn for like he was unblockable.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_01]: Rocky's life foot was also great, but Marky's life foot is a conversation for 28, right?
- 33:34[SPEAKER_01]: So, life footer heavy hand.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, right?
- 33:38[SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah, Damon Wilson is a guy I absolutely could see them taking.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_00]: All right, folks, that's it for today's episode of Scouting the Finns Sick with this here, part of the drapes per carry podcast feed all support of the five regions sports and I work as always fins up everybody.
