Oregon Health & Science University is breaking new ground with a landmark study on magic mushrooms, three years after Oregon became the first state to legalize their therapeutic use. Inspired by veterans’ stories of healing from trauma—including military sexual trauma and PTSD—researchers found that with counseling, 70% of participants saw significant reductions in depression, anxiety, and PTSD symptoms, while 25% reported improved overall well-being.
