Last time we learned animal names at the zoo: en løve, en elefant, en giraf, en abe, en pingvin. Luna: Oh, I remember! Løve, elefant, giraf, abe, pingvin. Those were fun. Lucas: Today, let's describe them. We'll add simple adjectives. So we can say things like 'the lion is big'. Luna: Oh, good. I've been wanting to say more than just the name. Lucas: Let's start with 'stor' — it means big. Listen: Løven er stor. Luna: Løven er stor. Lucas: Perfect. The lion is big. Now, elefanten er also stor. Elefanten er stor. Luna: Elefanten er stor. That's easy. Lucas: Yes. Now, a giraffe is tall. 'Høj' means tall. Giraffen er høj. Luna: Giraffen er høj. Hmm, 'høj' sounds like 'high'. Lucas: Exactly. Similar to English. Now, the monkey is funny. 'Sjov' means funny or fun. Aben er sjov. Luna: Aben er sjov. That's cute. Lucas: And the penguin is small. 'Lille' means small. Pingvinen er lille. Luna: Pingvinen er lille. Aww.
