- 0:00Welcome to World View Matters, discussing controversial issues, discerning current events,
- 0:10defending biblical Christianity, no topic, off limits.
- 0:16And now, here's your host, David Firazzo.
- 0:20Friends, family and Christ, thank you so very much for tuning in, watching listening,
- 0:23sharing the podcast.
- 0:24I realize we have more people that actually listen and download the podcast on whatever
- 0:29platforms those are that actually watch the video.
- 0:32So it's very interesting to me.
- 0:34We've been learning a lot, but praise God that we're growing and it's thanks to Him, of
- 0:39course, and you for your prayers.
- 0:41I want to jump in before we get to Carl Kirby's, our guest today, reasons for hope.
- 0:45Great to have him back.
- 0:46I'm looking forward to catching up with this dear brother.
- 0:48Got to mention exciting news.
- 0:51We have the schedule, the speaker schedule up on the conference website, worldviewmattersconference.com
- 0:59that's worldviewmattersconference.com May 1st and 2nd, Green Bay, Wisconsin.
- 1:06And it starts Friday, May 1st, doors open, 11.45 a.m. and there's a speaker every hour
- 1:12unless we're eating a meal.
- 1:13So if it's all up on the website, we'll talk more about that later.
- 1:18And right now, when I bring in my brother, the website are for h.com.
- 1:21That's reasons for hope.
- 1:23Our FORH.com and our good friend, Carl Kirby, is back with us after traveling and being
- 1:31so busy, debunking a lot of nonsense, Carl, good to see you, brother.
- 1:35Hey, Mr. David, what a blessing to be back, my friend.
- 1:39Yeah, good to catch up with you.
- 1:40I'm looking forward to hearing first about your recent travels and just what's on your
- 1:44heart.
- 1:45So you've been very, very busy and that's good thing for Christians.
- 1:49I guess Bible-believing Christians that we're busy doing God's work and I know you are.
- 1:55So tell us what you've been doing.
- 1:56Oh, my goodness.
- 1:57I've been all over the place just here recently.
- 2:01I've been in Alabama, been to Florida, been to...
- 2:06I can't even remember all the places because I just wake up and it's like, where am I?
- 2:09I don't even know half of the time.
- 2:11But a lot of it has been youth.
- 2:12Just very, very recently I was out in the seat of Rapids in Iowa and had a wonderful, wonderful
- 2:18time with young people out there up in your neck of the woods, actually Wisconsin Dells
- 2:24was up there with Academy of Excellence.
- 2:27We run their youth track and man we had three, four hundred young people at the youth
- 2:34track and what an encouragement.
- 2:37I tell you the one discouraging thing about all this, David, is that I'm having adults
- 2:41come up to me now and they're saying, I was in your session when I was like 1617 and
- 2:47now I'm bringing my kids to this and I'm like, hey, that's not right.
- 2:51So I've been doing this a long time getting old but man, what a blessing to be with this
- 2:55younger generation.
- 2:56So you've been posting, you know, sometimes you post things about your travel.
- 3:00It's very encouraging for me.
- 3:01I don't remember if that's on Facebook or Instagram but I follow you and see your posts.
- 3:06It is encouraging.
- 3:07One of the reasons Carl, maybe you can speak to this, is we see the direction of our youth
- 3:13or...
- 3:15Well, yeah, Gen Z, 2% or 1% biblical worldview or something like that, it's pretty scary
- 3:20but we know what the K through 12 indoctrination education system produces.
- 3:26I just used air quotes for those of you listening just to audio, air quotes around education
- 3:30system and we know what the culture produces, what Hollywood produces, what corporations,
- 3:35what, you know, they're putting out there, anything against the biblical worldview and
- 3:41against God.
- 3:43When I hear it, I see your pictures of young people gathered, filling up an auditorium
- 3:49and for these events that you're doing on creation, apologetics, that is really encouraging
- 3:55to me personally because I've been tracking this for decades and trying to find other
- 4:00than Charlie Kirkham, what he was, what he started reaching the youth, going to college
- 4:05campuses and some people are trying to get into the K through 12, tell us a little bit
- 4:10more about that and what you're seeing because a lot of people are seeing the rotten fruit
- 4:16of people that are hostile toward the biblical worldview.
- 4:20And that's a lot of it, there's no doubt about it.
- 4:23You know, it's interesting, you mentioned Charlie Kirk, I was blessed to do two conferences
- 4:26with him up in Wisconsin and there's no doubt in my mind that what happened to him has
- 4:35caused a definite movement in the younger generation to want to know more.
- 4:39The doors are open, I'm feeling this, I'm seeing this with the meetings that we're doing.
- 4:45There's an interest in things that just wasn't there before.
- 4:48Now they may not totally agree with you, may disagree, but here's the interesting thing
- 4:52that I'm finding is that in the course of the conversation, I may have conversations
- 4:56and it's not so much as an attack.
- 4:58You still have the attackers, you still have the mockers, those are there, right?
- 5:02But I'm finding more and more that there's a generation that's genuinely looking for
- 5:07open, honest, somebody that really believes in what they're saying and just to deliver
- 5:11it straight.
- 5:12We're seeing that big time in our camps, like if you go to Equipretreat.org, our camps,
- 5:17we're running six of them this year.
- 5:18This is the most we've ever done, David, this is the biggest year we've ever had in camps
- 5:23and three of them already sold out.
- 5:25The other three are first years, right?
- 5:28It's our first time and it typically takes about three years to get them established.
- 5:31So I can tell you that there is an interest, they're fired up, they're looking for something
- 5:37and you also mentioned Hollywood.
- 5:38Here's another thing that's exciting.
- 5:40I just spoke at the Christian World View Film Festival in Albany, Georgia at the Kendrick
- 5:46Brothers Church and was able to speak there and met a lot.
- 5:51I'm talking 20s and they're 20s.
- 5:53I'd say the vast majority when they're mid-28 at the most 20s, producing films now from
- 6:01a Christian perspective.
- 6:03So there is hope, there's excitement and Christians don't just look at all the negative stuff.
- 6:10There's a lot of good things going on and I think we should get fired up about it.
- 6:14Yeah, we are blessed to be in touch with Kevin and Sam Sorbo, they've been on the podcast
- 6:19and it's nice to see the younger generation get involved in such a dark industry.
- 6:25Let's just be honest since I don't know, maybe since it's inception, Hollywood, the movie
- 6:31industry, maybe they had a little innocence at first but oh my goodness, the devil can
- 6:39take anything good and ruin it.
- 6:43But anyway, you mentioned, was that in Georgia you were at?
- 6:49Yeah, nobody in Georgia, the Kendrick Brothers Church there and it was well attended.
- 6:56They had some films.
- 6:57It's really, I'll tell you one that I'm super excited to see is from a cold-order media.
- 7:02I went in and listened to the session, James Fitzgerald, I think is the guy who's a hit
- 7:06of that and they've got one coming out of documentary on AI.
- 7:11From what I saw, the trailer, I'm telling you right now, Christians, you need to be on
- 7:14the lookout for this thing because they had the big dogs, they interviewed the big dogs
- 7:19in there and it looked extremely, extremely interesting.
- 7:23So there's a lot of good stuff coming out and again, yes, it's an ugly one.
- 7:27Yes, there's a lot of negative stuff but I think that we, as Christians, can take what
- 7:32the world means for evil and turn it to good.
- 7:35And we can use these things or tools, don't run and hide from them, go after them and
- 7:40use them to teach and preach to a generation that just flat things different.
- 7:45Yes, yes, two things to follow up on a couple of things you mentioned.
- 7:49There's a great movie out right now, I'm going to it very soon, I'm going to see a great
- 7:54awakening.
- 7:55Have you seen that yet?
- 7:56No, I haven't.
- 7:57I've heard nothing but rave reviews from solid Bible, believe in Christians and pastors,
- 8:03a great awakening.
- 8:05It's now, it's now in theaters, friends, so hopefully you can get to that.
- 8:08And you said the great attendance for your, your events recently, I didn't mention at
- 8:13the beginning.
- 8:14We're putting on a conference May 1st and 2nd, the World View Matters Conference, Biblical
- 8:17Summit in Green Bay, 12 speakers, 15 sessions, two days.
- 8:22And we have about 30 tickets left actually.
- 8:25Wow.
- 8:26This air is going to be less, so we're very excited about that.
- 8:30I just want to put that out there for friends that are still kind of teetering, maybe wondering
- 8:33about whether you want to go or not.
- 8:35Well, we're hoping to maybe the hotel can fit in a couple more rows of chairs in the
- 8:41back.
- 8:42We're going to work on that.
- 8:43I just wanted to say that's encouraging.
- 8:44But here's another thing Carl, speak to this for a moment.
- 8:47After the assassination, assassination of Charlie Kirk, I have seen just almost like signs
- 8:53of revival, not just among youth.
- 8:56And adults that kind of went, okay, this is, I believe the same thing he does.
- 9:01Am I telling anybody, am I, my boldly standing for truth or the gospel because that's, he
- 9:08was killed for free speech in his Biblical worldview, what he believed, what he said.
- 9:12But here's the thing.
- 9:13A lot of young people that are turning to either God, a church opening up a Bible, seeking
- 9:19answers, we, a lot of them might not end up at the right destination.
- 9:26If they don't have someone in their life to guide them, they might end up at the wrong
- 9:31churches.
- 9:32There are some churches.
- 9:33And for those of you on audio listening, I'm putting churches and air quotes.
- 9:37There are some churches out there that are not, they do not hold the Biblical worldview.
- 9:42I wouldn't call them churches or the leaders pastors, unfortunately.
- 9:46So a lot of these young people that are open now, maybe to finding answers, boy, we've
- 9:52got to find ways to direct them to the right places, your thoughts, Carl.
- 9:55Oh, absolutely.
- 9:56And as you mentioned, it is not just the younger generation, because as a consequence of
- 10:01the younger ones getting fired up, that's having an impact on the older ones.
- 10:06Because I'm telling you, I've had a number of mature folk, I'm not going to call them
- 10:10old, mature folk, seasoned because I'm old, right?
- 10:14I've got the mature folk that have come up to me and said, I've never heard of this guy,
- 10:17but then my grandchild or my child's talking about him, and then I go watch his video.
- 10:22So it was an experience, like I said, to do those two conferences with him up in Wisconsin,
- 10:26we had dinner together.
- 10:28And a very, very interesting guy, very sharp guy, and what an ugly situation circumstance.
- 10:35But I think as you can attest to even in the midst of ugliness, even in the midst of brokenness,
- 10:40God can be glorified.
- 10:41And I think many times, especially in the midst of brokenness, God can take these broken,
- 10:47ugly, nasty things and do something amazing with them.
- 10:50My first book that I wrote was called Reasons for Hoping the Mosaic of Your Life, because
- 10:54I tell folks, we're all of our lives, you're like a mosaic.
- 10:57Every one of us.
- 10:58And when we start looking at our lives and things that have happened in the past, we can find
- 11:02all these broken pieces.
- 11:03Why this?
- 11:04Why this?
- 11:05Why that?
- 11:06And if you look at a mosaic, a big mosaic up close is just a bunch of broken pieces of rock.
- 11:10But then when you back up and get it in perspective so you can see the whole picture, it's amazing.
- 11:16Well, that's our life.
- 11:17Why this?
- 11:18Why would that happen to him?
- 11:19Why would this happen here?
- 11:20Why would this happen there?
- 11:21Get back.
- 11:22Get God's perspective.
- 11:23God will take those things that are meant for evil and turn them into something pretty
- 11:26amazing.
- 11:27And he's doing it.
- 11:28Okay, Carl Kirby.
- 11:29Let's talk about your shirt.
- 11:31And let's talk about the brand new debunked dinosaurs, disprove the Bible.
- 11:39And go ahead and tell us about it.
- 11:41Well, if you noticed the way that you even said that, we do this intentionally, dinosaurs,
- 11:46disprove the Bible, right?
- 11:48Because what we were doing initially when we were making the titles and the graphics
- 11:53to put up on the social media and all that, YouTube, we would put up there abortion is wrong,
- 11:59right?
- 12:00Abortion, the Bible says abortion is a sin, whatever it is, if you put it up like that, it goes
- 12:06nowhere.
- 12:07Yeah.
- 12:08But if I put it up there that, you know, God or the dinosaurs disprove the Bible debunked,
- 12:18right?
- 12:19Well, if I say the Bible talks about dinosaurs gone, it's not going to go anywhere.
- 12:23But if I reverse it and fill the debunked in there, it gets by the algorithm.
- 12:27So when you look at all of our titles, we have been chewed on so many times by brothers
- 12:31and sisters in the Lord who are well-meaning, your title is saying that it's okay.
- 12:36No, no, no, that's why we fill in the debunked afterwards.
- 12:39So what we did with the dinosaur one, because this has been a long one, this has been one
- 12:42of my passion ones, this is number 30, by the way, of our debunked series, is like, I've
- 12:48called dinosaurs missionary lizards.
- 12:51We live in a world that is been teaching a generation to look at the world through the
- 12:57lens of millions of years of death and suffering.
- 12:59That's a secular worldview.
- 13:01And if you try and take God and pour God on with the millions of years, you're really not
- 13:05doing Him, Justice, and you're not doing the evolutionary process, Justice, you're undermining
- 13:09both sides to be very honest with you and it doesn't fit with what we see in the world
- 13:13or with what we read in the word.
- 13:15So dinosaurs, I think, we can take and then say, look, you've been taught this.
- 13:20But now let's start with a different worldview.
- 13:22Let's start with the only one who's always been there who knows what happened, who told
- 13:25us what happened, who we can trust, and look at them through the lens of God's word.
- 13:29And when you do that, you are going to have completely, until the different answers
- 13:32in the world, but that's because you're starting point, not the evidence, the starting point
- 13:36is different.
- 13:37And when we start with God's word, we know more than what the world does.
- 13:40So don't be intimidated by it.
- 13:42Yeah.
- 13:43So I'm going to ask you a couple more questions about this particular one because as you said,
- 13:47the lies are more prevalent than the truth when it comes to this, than God's word.
- 13:52So did humans and dinosaurs live together?
- 13:55And if so, what happened?
- 13:57Yeah.
- 13:59Depends on who you're influenced by and what I find, unfortunately, as most Christians
- 14:02have been impacted more by Jurassic Park than Jesus.
- 14:06And so if you're a Jurassic Park mentality, you would say, no, dinosaurs died out 68,
- 14:1170 million years ago.
- 14:12So there's no way that man and dinosaur live together.
- 14:15You start with what the Bible says, God said, on day six, he created land dwelling, air
- 14:19breathing creatures, which, by the way, is what a dinosaur was.
- 14:23Or do not include the word dinosaur does not include the day five animals, the terror
- 14:29sores, the pleasy of sores, the flying and the swimming reptiles.
- 14:32Those are not dinosaurs in the strictest definition of the word.
- 14:36It's day six where God created land dwelling, air breathing animals alongside of man.
- 14:41Yes, man and dinosaur lived alongside of each other.
- 14:43When I go into the Bible, I look at Job, but there's a Hebrew word.
- 14:47There's no word dinosaur in there because it's a modern day word and it went in and
- 14:51until 1841.
- 14:53And the Bible was translated, you know, depending on which version, 1500, 1600, right?
- 14:58So you wouldn't find the word dinosaur in the Bible because it didn't exist.
- 15:01I tell folk, download the 1828 dictionary on the app store.
- 15:05It's free.
- 15:06Get the free version.
- 15:07Type in the word rocket, type in the word locomotive, type in the word computer.
- 15:10In an 1828 dictionary, you're going to get a definition, but you won't get one for
- 15:14the word dinosaur because it wasn't invented till 1841.
- 15:18But Hebrew, there is a word, tenene, that fits very well with dinosaur.
- 15:23Behemoth is another animal that we look at that is amazingly describing a sauropod dinosaur.
- 15:31And that is in Job and Job lived after the flood.
- 15:34So this is an animal that had to go on to the boat and then come off of the boat.
- 15:37What happened to them?
- 15:38Pretty simple.
- 15:39They died.
- 15:41We didn't start our extinction programs in time.
- 15:43What we see in the world around us today is animals going extinct, pre-flood world,
- 15:47post-flood world, two totally different environments.
- 15:50Things are breaking down and we just didn't start the extinction program in time.
- 15:54Good stuff.
- 15:55And friends, you can go to their YouTube channel Reasons for Hope and it's highlighted
- 16:01their dinosaurs, disproved the Bible.
- 16:04Maybe we can talk a little bit more about that because I'm just always fascinated by how
- 16:07they come up with millions or billions of years ago when they're narrating these history
- 16:13special.
- 16:14Carl, we got to take a brief pause right back on World View Matters.
- 16:17Every day it feels more and more urgent and I think if people are watching this or listening
- 16:23to this and you don't feel that urgency then you haven't quite woken up yet.
- 16:27It is urgent.
- 16:28I'm glad you mentioned that because right on the homepage of the website it says Redeem
- 16:33the Time.
- 16:34It says that the World View Matters Conference we hope to encourage and equip Christians
- 16:38to share the Gospel, speak the truth and stand boldly for the faith in this present
- 16:44cultural dorm.
- 16:46And it says expert speakers will tackle the most critical issues of our day with clarity
- 16:51and a sense of urgency.
- 16:58By the way friends, I didn't mention, I want to just get this in, Alex Newman will be kicking
- 17:04off the conference.
- 17:05These are very first speaker on Friday, May 1st, 1pm and both nights we're going to have
- 17:11a Q&A round table with the speakers like a panel where you can have pre-asked questions
- 17:18that you guys can fill out cards so it won't be live but we'll be doing it and all the speakers
- 17:22can answer your questions there each night Friday night and Saturday night back to Carl
- 17:26Kirby.
- 17:27So Carl is anything else you want to put a wrap this up in a bow of the dinosaurs and
- 17:31the Bible dinosaurs disproved the Bible but they really, they don't.
- 17:37So anything you want to wrap up as far as how people get years and how we believe the
- 17:43wrong sources or whatever, any points you made in there?
- 17:46Sure, I tell you one thing I'd say though, if you're not going to the conference you
- 17:51need to go, we can do nothing better with our time, this study the word of God and learn
- 17:55how to apply our faith in a world going crazy.
- 17:58Old views are very important so praise God you're doing that, Mr. David.
- 18:03As far as it comes to dinosaurs, yes, I think that what we need to do as Christians and
- 18:08some of us more mature folk is find unique and creative ways to reach a generation that
- 18:14thinks that the Bible is an old outdated book filled with fairy tales and fables, there's
- 18:17no truth, you got your truth, I got my truth, we all got our own truth.
- 18:21We need to find unique and creative ways to communicate truth so that they will understand
- 18:25and embrace it and dinosaurs are nothing more than a tool that allow me to take a conversation
- 18:31to go from, here's this bone, what's this bone got to do anything?
- 18:34Well, what's a bone?
- 18:35A bone's a dead thing.
- 18:36Well, how did we get death?
- 18:37Millions of years of death and suffering?
- 18:39No, there's a God who told us that what the wages of sin is is death and the consequences
- 18:45of death because we blew it.
- 18:48We rejected what God gave us, which was perfection.
- 18:51We thought we could do it better than God and we've destroyed the world that He gave us.
- 18:55So now I can take and start preaching the gospel from a bone, a dinosaur bone.
- 19:00So just get creative, find a way to communicate truth so that this generation will see that
- 19:06there's an application component of our faith.
- 19:09It's not just memorization, which is important, I'm not trying to diminish that, but we need
- 19:13the application component as well.
- 19:16How do we put feet to our faith in this world?
- 19:20We're indirectly referring to the principles of salt and light and Christians being vocal
- 19:26and influential and preserving influence.
- 19:29It's a light exposing the darkness, but pointing to Christ and the truth in culture that so
- 19:35many people have redefined truth.
- 19:36But anyway, Carl, it's going by a very fast day.
- 19:40You mentioned something about the gospel league.
- 19:43Tell us about that and tell us about this new comic book curriculum.
- 19:47Yeah, that's something that I've been working on.
- 19:49It's been a dream for a long time.
- 19:51I'm an old, I'm going to admit it, I'm an old comic book guy, right?
- 19:54Marvel DC folk get over it.
- 19:57But I was an old Marvel guy, but one DC character that always stuck out to me was Batman
- 20:02because of 1966 Batman.
- 20:05So I've actually recorded a class for our Equip U, YOU.
- 20:10We have online classes and I did a biblical principle found in Batman.
- 20:15They call it Behind the Mask on this class where we go in and use the old clip from Batman,
- 20:20but then apply the Bible application component.
- 20:23Well, I've wanted to do the comic book forever.
- 20:26So the thing that struck my mind was you had the old justice league, right?
- 20:30You had all the different characters that came together and they each had their strengths
- 20:33and weaknesses.
- 20:34Well, so do we, as Christians.
- 20:36And our motto when it comes to our faith is that we need to know it, live it, share it.
- 20:41Because you can have answers and be worthless.
- 20:43Because if your life and your lips aren't in sync, worthless hypocrisy.
- 20:47But guess what?
- 20:48You could have answers and live a great life and still be worthless.
- 20:51Because if you never get to the point where you just share Jesus with people,
- 20:54it's not an argument that they're going to win anybody into the kingdom.
- 20:57It's the word of God.
- 20:58So we need to share it.
- 20:59So I created this gospel league in his three characters.
- 21:02One is a Noah component, one's a living, one's a shared.
- 21:05First comic is done.
- 21:06It's Captain Creed and he is the Noah guy.
- 21:09He's the guy that's a former Navy seal in the war, raised in the church,
- 21:14but he's gone.
- 21:15He doesn't know and he'd never really embraced it.
- 21:18Just did the works and through a series of circumstances,
- 21:22he gets called back into it and introduced to the other two characters.
- 21:26And so the first session, we're going to deal with evil.
- 21:30God will never give us more than we can handle.
- 21:32Yeah, right.
- 21:33That's not difficult.
- 21:34So we're going to deal with all those types of issues in a comic book
- 21:38that then is leading to a curriculum.
- 21:40So the curriculum is written.
- 21:43I'm getting ready to record the video sessions on it,
- 21:45because I just want youth leaders to take it and use it.
- 21:48So it's a new project that Lord Willie and I hope will be out in about a month or so.
- 21:52Praise God for that.
- 21:53That sounds really neat.
- 21:54And by the way, Mark Archer fearless features.
- 21:57He loves Batman.
- 21:59He loves, he loves anyway.
- 22:01I just thought I'd throw that in there.
- 22:02So you also mentioned Carl that you're going to be doing a tours
- 22:07at the Chicago Field Museum.
- 22:09Yeah.
- 22:09Did I understand that right?
- 22:11Yeah, that's, that's what the Academy of Excellence again.
- 22:14I don't know that that's open to the general public.
- 22:18I think they've already sold it out.
- 22:19We've done this.
- 22:20I think this is the third time.
- 22:22And what we do is we rent the theater.
- 22:25And this is a beautiful theater brother.
- 22:27I mean, that projector is like a laser beam.
- 22:29You don't want to stand in front of it.
- 22:30You're going to get suntan or sunburnt real quick, right?
- 22:33And it is beautiful.
- 22:35The stadium stadium.
- 22:36We go in there.
- 22:37We teach.
- 22:38And then we send the people out and they go through the exhibits
- 22:42in the Chicago Field Museum with specific assignments
- 22:46to find information and to do certain things.
- 22:49One of the, one of the things that I'll teach the people that come.
- 22:53It's not even young people that's families that are coming.
- 22:56Is, okay, you go stand by the elephant and look at these design
- 22:59features on the elephant and parents.
- 23:01Teach your children this, this, this, this, this.
- 23:04Because what's going to happen is that there are other people
- 23:06that are going through on their exhibits.
- 23:07They're going to hear you.
- 23:08They're going to overhear you teaching on those exhibits.
- 23:11And so we do that with various exhibits.
- 23:13Teach them how to teach.
- 23:14This is what the world says.
- 23:15Here's what the word of God says.
- 23:17Here's what we actually see.
- 23:18So it's again, the application component.
- 23:20Everything that I'm trying to do is put in feet to the faith
- 23:24showing how to apply our faith in real world.
- 23:26And Chicago Field Museum as well as any other museum on this planet.
- 23:30Look, I was with the creation museum.
- 23:32That was my job to raise the funds to build the thing.
- 23:34Love it.
- 23:35Nothing negative about it.
- 23:36But I'll tell you this.
- 23:37Every museum on this planet can become a creation museum.
- 23:40When you learn how to take the word of God in there and apply your faith,
- 23:44let them teach what they're teaching.
- 23:45This is what they say.
- 23:46This is what God says.
- 23:48Here's what we actually see.
- 23:49It's wonderful ministry.
- 23:51Awesome.
- 23:52So we only have less than four minutes left.
- 23:54And you have a podcast.
- 23:56Is it called debunked files and tell us about that?
- 24:00Yep, that's the debunked files.
- 24:01And we're going to be reversing the roles here pretty soon with you.
- 24:04You're going to be our guests.
- 24:05And I'm going to get to ask you questions and talk about it.
- 24:07Uh-oh.
- 24:08Yep.
- 24:08And it is.
- 24:10It's called the debunked files.
- 24:11And you can find it on all the social media type things.
- 24:15But yeah, we, I think we just recently interviewed David Limbaugh.
- 24:20That guy's a hoot.
- 24:21Oh, he's amazing.
- 24:22He's a hoot.
- 24:23I had a blast with him.
- 24:24He was fun.
- 24:26We had to nest a suzer on.
- 24:28Uh, we've had, we've had, it's been very interesting.
- 24:31J. Warner Wallace, uh, we're trying to least trouble.
- 24:35He, he, he keeps teasing.
- 24:36Hopefully we're going to get him on, but we've got a variety of people
- 24:40that we get on there and just have conversations with him.
- 24:42And that's what I'm looking forward to having you on as well.
- 24:45Well, you've had some heavy hitters.
- 24:46So I'll try to measure up and not disappoint.
- 24:49But, um, something you said earlier in the podcast,
- 24:54I might just title this one.
- 24:55I'd really like, um, get your life and your lips in sync.
- 24:59Yes.
- 25:00Because our, our lives have to back up our talk, our faith.
- 25:04When we speak it, if there's enough hypocrisy out there on both sides,
- 25:10believers and unbelievers, but there's enough hypocrisy.
- 25:14I mean, probably in everybody's life at some point in time,
- 25:16but let's just face it.
- 25:17So yeah, getting, getting that all in sync.
- 25:19What does it take for a Bible-believing Christian other than
- 25:23studying the word of God daily, at least reading?
- 25:27What else does it take, Carl, to just get that and then cross that bridge
- 25:31to make that application from what you believe in your heart
- 25:35and what you're speaking.
- 25:36You're testifying to your faith in Christ and the truth of the Bible
- 25:40and then live it out in your life.
- 25:42Well, good resources.
- 25:44I think conferences like what you've got going on,
- 25:46your worldview conference, your podcast, people watching those types of things,
- 25:51our website, our app.
- 25:53I would encourage people to take a look at our app.
- 25:55Just look for R-F-O-R-H, R for H.
- 25:59And look for that.
- 26:00There's a lot of material up on there.
- 26:02But I'll tell you the other thing that I really know that I need are
- 26:06brothers and sisters in the Lord who are going to hold my feet to the fire.
- 26:09I know that I'm going to get asked questions when I say certain things.
- 26:14People aren't going to just, yes, man, me, they're going to,
- 26:17they're going to, Carl, hold up.
- 26:19You said this, but what about what about?
- 26:21We need that.
- 26:21Every person on this planet needs fellow believers,
- 26:25good, solid believers that are going to hold us accountable and challenge us
- 26:29to grow beyond what we feel like we can even do.
- 26:32And so get into the word, yes, get some good resources,
- 26:35but get a team around you.
- 26:38And I mean, it's truly a team of fellow believers.
- 26:41Good church as well.
- 26:42You need that.
- 26:43But I tell you, even that some of the people that are holding me accountable
- 26:47aren't, they don't go to my church,
- 26:49but they're good, solid brothers and sisters in the Lord.
- 26:51They're going to challenge us.
- 26:52And I would encourage folks to look for that.
- 26:55Thank you for mentioning accountability again.
- 26:57We don't talk much about that.
- 26:59And it's so important.
- 27:00And then to be have fellowship with like-minded,
- 27:03Bible-believing brothers and sisters,
- 27:05that is so important because isolation is not good for a Christian.
- 27:10And the app, thank you for reminding us about the app.
- 27:12I've got it on my phone.
- 27:14So look up, friends, R for H, that's R-F-O-R-H.com.
- 27:19Look up their app.
- 27:20Carl Kirby, thank you so much.
- 27:21It went by fast.
- 27:22We'll do it again soon, Lord willing.
- 27:24Thank you, brother.
- 27:26God bless you, friends.
- 27:27And as always, keep speaking the truth about things that matter.
- 27:30We will see you next time.
