- 0:14Speaker 2: two roat chicks to show that shares life lessons and
- 0:17Speaker 2: tips to make you what rich rich in life And
- 0:21Speaker 2: you're over a very rich weet. Yeah, if you've been
- 0:26Speaker 2: living under a rock, maybe you've got us blocked. But
- 0:30Speaker 2: this week we launched the new, brand new rich in
- 0:35Speaker 2: Life formula for twenty twenty five and beyond baby, and
- 0:41Speaker 2: she's already selling out.
- 0:43Speaker 3: I know, she's absolutely soaring off the digital shelves.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Check so if you have missed it, we relaunched rich
- 0:51Speaker 2: in Life, which is our now is three products. She
- 0:54Speaker 2: was originally just one, but she is now in a
- 0:58Speaker 2: planner and a diary.
- 0:59Speaker 1: As well as a journal and rich conversation cards. That's right.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Today we were like, let's play, let's play our card game. Yeah,
- 1:09Speaker 1: that'd be fucking made because that's fucking fun. Yeah, exactly.
- 1:13Speaker 3: And we wanted to make this card game because you know,
- 1:15Speaker 3: when you catch up with people and you're just like,
- 1:17Speaker 3: how are or you're chatting with a loved one who
- 1:20Speaker 3: you've talked to all the time, and sometimes it feels
- 1:23Speaker 3: like you've exhausted all of the conversation topics. Yeah, and
- 1:26Speaker 3: we wanted to create something that will encourage people to
- 1:29Speaker 3: have deeper, richer conversations, to only further their connections with
- 1:34Speaker 3: their loved ones, or even to learn things about a stranger.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Like there's really no limit in how you can use
- 1:40Speaker 3: these cards. So there's fifty two cards, all with different
- 1:43Speaker 3: individual prompts. And I love it because it's a mix
- 1:47Speaker 3: of like silly and serious.
- 1:49Speaker 1: That's what I was going to say, because it's like,
- 1:51Speaker 1: conversation cards.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Are not a new concept, Like there's definitely quite a
- 1:55Speaker 2: bit out there, but I don't feel like I've ever
- 1:58Speaker 2: really found one that in capated both the silly and
- 2:01Speaker 2: the serious the way that I like.
- 2:03Speaker 1: To have conversations.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Like a little bit of light and shade, baby, totally
- 2:07Speaker 3: stuff to make you giggle, there's stuff to make you think,
- 2:10Speaker 3: and there's stuff to make you love.
- 2:14Speaker 1: So you can play this with your brother, your mother,
- 2:17Speaker 1: your sister, and your friends.
- 2:23Speaker 3: But before we start playing, should we get into our obsessions.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Of the way, Yes, tell me what are you obsessed with?
- 2:29Speaker 3: Okay, So we covered this on our Instagram story and
- 2:34Speaker 3: over on our TikTok last week, but it is the
- 2:38Speaker 3: entire Adair's Christmas collection.
- 2:40Speaker 2: They have quite literally and pun intended play they really have.
- 2:47Speaker 1: It's just amazing, like and beautiful. They've nailed it.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Yeah, from like the bedding and the sheets to the
- 2:53Speaker 3: Christmas ornaments, all of the different decourse slippers, pj's, they
- 2:59Speaker 3: have everything. Sometimes with Christmas collections they can be a
- 3:03Speaker 3: little bit tacky, but never with the dares.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Nah. I agree, they're always so so chic.
- 3:09Speaker 3: And I will say we did do a collab with them,
- 3:12Speaker 3: but this shout out is not paid.
- 3:14Speaker 1: I just wanted it. When you message them, we actually message.
- 3:17Speaker 3: That you guys, Yeah, because we'd seen a sneak peak
- 3:22Speaker 3: of some of the Christmas stuff that had dropped early.
- 3:25Speaker 1: And we were like, oh my god, this is so beautiful.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Yeah, but yeah, I just wanted to say this shout
- 3:29Speaker 3: out isn't sponsored. I just wanted to make sure that
- 3:31Speaker 3: if any of the chicks didn't see the stuff on
- 3:33Speaker 3: our story or the TikTok, that they didn't miss out
- 3:35Speaker 3: because we're honestly bought so much and it was during
- 3:40Speaker 3: their Linen Love of Sale event, so we saved over
- 3:42Speaker 3: like four hundred and eighty dollars between us.
- 3:44Speaker 1: So yeah, ten Merry Christmas to us.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Well, speaking of my session of the week is the
- 3:51Speaker 2: Lush Christmas Collection.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Oh my god, Yes.
- 3:54Speaker 2: I am on my Lush bandwagon at the moment. Ever
- 3:58Speaker 2: since we did the video about viral vanilla body care routine,
- 4:02Speaker 2: like I've been I've always really liked Lush, but I
- 4:06Speaker 2: am really obsessed with it because ever since I started
- 4:10Speaker 2: shopping at Lush more, I just keep getting used forel
- 4:13Speaker 2: nice compliments like all the fucking time, and it's amazing,
- 4:17Speaker 2: like best compliment in the world. And they brought out
- 4:21Speaker 2: like these new limited edition things that they've got one
- 4:23Speaker 2: called yognog, which, like that name just scratches something in
- 4:28Speaker 2: my brain.
- 4:29Speaker 3: Well, because eggnog is kind of a bit of a
- 4:31Speaker 3: weird concept in itself.
- 4:33Speaker 1: What is it again, It's like alcoholic eggs.
- 4:35Speaker 2: It's a question for the people in America, like does
- 4:37Speaker 2: anyone actually drink eggnog? Or is it just like a thing,
- 4:41Speaker 2: Like how in Australia they think it we just put
- 4:43Speaker 2: shrimps from the barbie all the time, yeah, or that.
- 4:45Speaker 3: We ride like kangaroos to school. Is it a real
- 4:48Speaker 3: thing or is it like a stereotype.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know, but what is eggnog? Okay?
- 4:52Speaker 3: So eggnog is traditionally made with eggs, egg yolk, sugar, milk,
- 4:58Speaker 3: heavy cream, and vanilla extract. It's often spiked with brandy,
- 5:03Speaker 3: rum or other liquor and topped with freshly grated nutmeg
- 5:06Speaker 3: and or cinnamon sticks.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Wait, I might take it back. I can't get around
- 5:11Speaker 1: have egg whites in there.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Yeah, and I hate that, so it obviously on Google
- 5:15Speaker 3: it comes up with like the FAQ's underneath, And the
- 5:18Speaker 3: third one is why is it okay to drink eggnog?
- 5:21Speaker 2: I got salmonella poisoning from raw eggs when I ate
- 5:23Speaker 2: cake batter one time.
- 5:24Speaker 3: Okay, so most store bought eggnogs have been pasteurized so
- 5:28Speaker 3: that the eggs within the eggnog have been cooked to
- 5:30Speaker 3: a level that they are made safe.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Yeah, there you go. So you can't make eggnog with
- 5:35Speaker 1: raw eggs.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, back to lush Yes, yognog yognog.
- 5:41Speaker 1: They also have their fairy ones, snow Fairy.
- 5:47Speaker 2: It's like pink and sparkly. They have this like two
- 5:49Speaker 2: tone one which is so pretty and they just.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Are like a beautiful brand. They smell amazing.
- 5:56Speaker 2: They Let the Good Times roll spray is also amazing,
- 6:00Speaker 2: and the Yognog comes in like a shower gel as
- 6:04Speaker 2: well as a moisturizer. But they've also brought out the
- 6:06Speaker 2: Sticky Dates shower gel in a lotion as well.
- 6:10Speaker 1: I don't know if it's.
- 6:10Speaker 2: A limited edition thing for Christmas, but it's amazing. Sticky
- 6:15Speaker 2: Dates is like amazing. And then they also have a
- 6:18Speaker 2: Yognog body spray, which is also as good as the
- 6:22Speaker 2: Let the Good Times Rolled body spray in my opinion.
- 6:25Speaker 3: They also have a Wicked collab coming out for the movie,
- 6:29Speaker 3: so if you're a Wicked fan, definitely get around them
- 6:32Speaker 3: because they're so cute.
- 6:34Speaker 1: And then what's the name of the really nice smelling hair.
- 6:37Speaker 2: The Super Milk hair condition to spray that I just
- 6:40Speaker 2: like use as a whole body spray because every time
- 6:42Speaker 2: I wear that, I get compliments on the two. Yeah,
- 6:44Speaker 2: I would give you like a ten product list of
- 6:47Speaker 2: things to buy from Lush and it still wouldn't be enough.
- 6:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I was gonna say if you're a fan of
- 6:52Speaker 3: the Super Milk range. I don't think I'm allowed to
- 6:55Speaker 3: say exactly, but I did get a snake peek that's
- 6:57Speaker 3: something very exciting is dropping within that range for Black Friday.
- 7:01Speaker 1: To make sure we go into store on Black Friday. Definitely.
- 7:04Speaker 1: But yeah, there you go. Very good. Okay, Shall we
- 7:08Speaker 1: have some rich conversation?
- 7:10Speaker 2: Yeah, let's do it, all right, I'm going to shuffle
- 7:17Speaker 2: the cards and we're gonna pick just random question.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Nice.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Okay, what's an unexpected lesson you learned from a past relationship?
- 7:27Speaker 3: As I'm sure a lot of you chicks now, I've
- 7:28Speaker 3: only really been in one real romantic relationship, and obviously
- 7:34Speaker 3: this goes for any type of relationship. Yeah, but one
- 7:38Speaker 3: like unexpected lesson that I learned from I would say
- 7:41Speaker 3: like my first real crush when I was in high school,
- 7:45Speaker 3: and it was like at a time when I really
- 7:47Speaker 3: thought that like they were going to be probably like
- 7:49Speaker 3: my first boyfriend, and then he just like absolutely broke
- 7:52Speaker 3: my heart.
- 7:53Speaker 1: And it was.
- 7:55Speaker 3: That you shouldn't always share like everything about your relationship
- 8:01Speaker 3: and how excited you are online when you're not really committed.
- 8:06Speaker 1: To the person. Yeah.
- 8:08Speaker 3: So I think that taught me for my relationship that
- 8:11Speaker 3: I am in now, because I was like fifteen at
- 8:13Speaker 3: the time, that it is better to keep some things
- 8:17Speaker 3: that are special private. I think either so that one
- 8:22Speaker 3: if it turns out that it's not so special, you're
- 8:24Speaker 3: not embarrassed and then have to go fucking clean out
- 8:27Speaker 3: your entire MySpace and all your MSN personal messages. But yeah,
- 8:32Speaker 3: you know, like you see people and they're going through
- 8:34Speaker 3: breakups and you can tell that they're going through a
- 8:37Speaker 3: breakup and they're sharing like their inspirational quotes on their
- 8:40Speaker 3: story and stuff.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Like half of me is like, yes, like power to
- 8:43Speaker 1: your girl, But.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Then part of me is also like, sometimes it's better
- 8:46Speaker 3: just not to like air your dirty laundry or keep
- 8:49Speaker 3: somethings personal and or you know, speak about it with
- 8:52Speaker 3: your loved ones in person, not share it online to
- 8:55Speaker 3: a bunch of strangers.
- 8:56Speaker 2: I think I just tend to like really try to
- 8:59Speaker 2: pull away from like just any like negativity or like
- 9:02Speaker 2: drama or totally stuff like that online because it just
- 9:05Speaker 2: doesn't just makes me anxious, like I'm not even involved,
- 9:09Speaker 2: and I'm like, oh.
- 9:10Speaker 3: Yeah when you see people beefs online or yeah, ever, okay,
- 9:15Speaker 3: so what's an unexpected lesson you?
- 9:17Speaker 2: Let I think the unexpected lesson I've learned for a
- 9:20Speaker 2: past relationship. And I actually was thinking about this the
- 9:23Speaker 2: other day is that your internal monologue should never.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Be too loud when you're with the right person.
- 9:31Speaker 2: And how I was thinking about how just when I
- 9:35Speaker 2: would be spending time with someone, and this goes for
- 9:38Speaker 2: romantic or platonic relationships or familial that but this mainly
- 9:44Speaker 2: applies to when I'm thinking about romantic But when I
- 9:48Speaker 2: think about it further, I'm like, oh, I would do
- 9:50Speaker 2: that with friends that I think were kind of not
- 9:53Speaker 2: very nice to me.
- 9:54Speaker 1: But I would be thinking about, oh, okay, I'll sit up,
- 9:58Speaker 1: sit up like this, or what do I say? Osh?
- 10:00Speaker 1: I should make it joy and like I'm in my
- 10:03Speaker 1: head thinking about.
- 10:04Speaker 2: How I should act to make this person like me,
- 10:07Speaker 2: or like how to be the best version of myself
- 10:10Speaker 2: or how to not embarrass myself or how to be
- 10:13Speaker 2: hot or like what to like basically manufacturing myself and
- 10:19Speaker 2: thinking about how I can be something that the other
- 10:22Speaker 2: person will like rather than just being myself. And how like,
- 10:28Speaker 2: in comparison to now, when I spend time with people,
- 10:31Speaker 2: whether it's you, whether it's our friends, whether it's my partner,
- 10:35Speaker 2: I am not thinking like and as someone who is overthinking,
- 10:40Speaker 2: like an overthinker with a very loud very busy brain
- 10:42Speaker 2: for me to spend time with people and I don't
- 10:45Speaker 2: have to think about the way that I act or
- 10:47Speaker 2: the way that I want to be perfect for them
- 10:51Speaker 2: is such a clear indicator of how good that person
- 10:54Speaker 2: is in my life and how healthy that relationship is
- 10:56Speaker 2: for me. And they definitely are people that like I
- 10:59Speaker 2: meet and I'm like, and I'll have a flare up
- 11:02Speaker 2: and I'm like, well, wait, don't be too much or
- 11:04Speaker 2: don't talk too much, or don't do this or whatever,
- 11:07Speaker 2: and that will still happen. And that's also important at
- 11:10Speaker 2: some points in time when you know, maybe you're having
- 11:12Speaker 2: a really important meeting at work or you are meeting
- 11:15Speaker 2: new people and you do want to put your best
- 11:17Speaker 2: foot forward. But I really think about it, especially in
- 11:20Speaker 2: like past relationships, is that I don't think I truly
- 11:23Speaker 2: ever was myself and I just was always trying to
- 11:27Speaker 2: be something that they would like. And how that just
- 11:33Speaker 2: doesn't even occur now, Like I'm just a little weirder
- 11:36Speaker 2: free and I love that.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:39Speaker 3: I think once that happens, you realize that it's not
- 11:42Speaker 3: normal to question your own behavior and manufacture your own
- 11:47Speaker 3: behavior to that level, because when you're with the right
- 11:50Speaker 3: person or in the right friendships, they will accept you.
- 11:54Speaker 3: So then you don't have to try and make.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Up for it or pretend to be something like even
- 11:58Speaker 1: when you're having.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Sex, I would just be in my head during that
- 12:02Speaker 2: like that it would be like difficult to you know,
- 12:05Speaker 2: be in the moment.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's it. It's like I couldn't really
- 12:08Speaker 1: be in the.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Moment with people because I was too busy thinking about
- 12:14Speaker 2: you know, And that's the thing is that probably was
- 12:17Speaker 2: also I think there is a part of that that
- 12:19Speaker 2: I played a.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Role in as well.
- 12:21Speaker 2: But I think when you were in a secure relationship
- 12:24Speaker 2: on both ends, Like I'm not saying it's purely that
- 12:26Speaker 2: person's fault that I was overthinking either, but I think
- 12:29Speaker 2: when you're compatible and when you're in the right relationship,
- 12:32Speaker 2: that doesn't happen.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Yeah, you don't have to perform. You can just be
- 12:36Speaker 1: tell me to stop. Stop. Oh god, Oh, that one
- 12:38Speaker 1: really wants to come out. Shit, what is it? Oh
- 12:44Speaker 1: my god, what's the silliest thing you've.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Done trying to impress someone, probably like fake an orgasm
- 12:52Speaker 2: or something, or pretending to.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Like something that you don't give.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Oh my god, there's I could least like seventeen that
- 13:01Speaker 2: I've probably pretended to, Like what have you pretended to?
- 13:04Speaker 1: Like just to be cool?
- 13:05Speaker 3: Like bands before I being like, oh yeah, I've never
- 13:09Speaker 3: even listened to a song.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Yeah you know one time. Oh my god, I've got one.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Okay, So I've never really been like into the rap
- 13:18Speaker 2: music or like the hippitie harp. So like when people
- 13:21Speaker 2: listen to like Drake and like the Weekend, Like, I
- 13:26Speaker 2: Am not not saying that there's anything wrong with them
- 13:29Speaker 2: all that music sucks or anything like that, but I'm.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Just not in with the cool. We're just not well versed.
- 13:34Speaker 1: No no, no no. But yeah.
- 13:36Speaker 2: So in high school very similar, like people would listen
- 13:40Speaker 2: to like Nicki Minaj Monster and I was like, I
- 13:43Speaker 2: don't know any of the words, and everyone's like wrapping
- 13:46Speaker 2: the whole thing. So when super Bass came out, I
- 13:50Speaker 2: went home and I've learned the lyrics to Superverse, and
- 13:56Speaker 2: I would practice in my room and my mom in
- 14:00Speaker 2: and she was.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Like, who are you talking to? Like I'm practicing this speech.
- 14:04Speaker 2: I literally was playing the song and reading this one
- 14:08Speaker 2: is for voice, and I could sup, I still know
- 14:12Speaker 2: what worn't for words today. That's probably one of the
- 14:15Speaker 2: silliest things I've ever done. And then this is the
- 14:17Speaker 2: worst part. I went to school the next day and.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Wrapped it for people. Oh my god.
- 14:26Speaker 3: There used to be this feature on MSN where you
- 14:30Speaker 3: could link like your MSN to your Microsoft Music Player
- 14:33Speaker 3: and show what you were listening to in your personal message,
- 14:37Speaker 3: and so like, I'd be chatting to a guy and
- 14:39Speaker 3: I knew they liked a band like I didn't like them,
- 14:42Speaker 3: but I would play the song and then mute it
- 14:45Speaker 3: so I didn't have to listen to it, but it
- 14:46Speaker 3: would shaft in my MSN thing and.
- 14:48Speaker 2: They would say and I'd be like, oh my god, wait,
- 14:51Speaker 2: I've got the modern day version of that because I
- 14:53Speaker 2: did it.
- 14:54Speaker 1: What what.
- 14:59Speaker 2: I don't know if I've don'ld you this? So I
- 15:03Speaker 2: this is ages ago, by the way.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Anymore? But also who it's fucking funny.
- 15:10Speaker 2: I went to his Spotify profile and I looked at his.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Top played artists.
- 15:19Speaker 2: I like found one of the songs, and then like
- 15:22Speaker 2: posted a story and put that artist.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Oh my god, did he reply?
- 15:27Speaker 2: Yes?
- 15:29Speaker 1: Wasn't silly? Wasn't silly?
- 15:31Speaker 2: Obviously pretending to like things that you don't actually like
- 15:34Speaker 2: just to get someone's attention is silly, but it's really funny.
- 15:40Speaker 1: We've all been there. Yeah, that's like, Oh, that's so funny.
- 15:44Speaker 1: I didn't even remember that I did that until he
- 15:45Speaker 1: said that. All Right, I'm sorry, I have.
- 15:59Speaker 2: To already answered this on the podcast before, so I
- 16:03Speaker 2: have to choose a different answer. Okay, But if you
- 16:05Speaker 2: could wipe your brain and consume one piece of content
- 16:10Speaker 2: fresh again, what would it be?
- 16:13Speaker 1: Harry Potter? Oh, what a great answer, What a great like?
- 16:18Speaker 1: There is there any follow up? Elaborate? Absolutely not. Now
- 16:23Speaker 1: I ask you, you can only pick. I know what
- 16:26Speaker 1: the answer can be.
- 16:27Speaker 2: You can only pick between wiping the book or the
- 16:31Speaker 2: movie again, which wonder.
- 16:34Speaker 3: The books for sure, But I do think that because
- 16:37Speaker 3: when I first read them, I was growing up with
- 16:40Speaker 3: them and with the characters, and having to wait, you know,
- 16:44Speaker 3: a year or more between releases that added to the
- 16:46Speaker 3: experience and the hype. So part of me is also like,
- 16:49Speaker 3: do I even want to wipe having that memory to
- 16:52Speaker 3: consume it fresh, because it probably wouldn't be as satisfying
- 16:57Speaker 3: or as like monumental for MANA.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Lots of adults like read books and things that will
- 17:02Speaker 1: shape them forever. But I think there's something about a
- 17:05Speaker 1: book that you really much amrie.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Because what I was gonna say is something that I've
- 17:09Speaker 2: already said would be thrown a glass.
- 17:11Speaker 1: But it's very similar to what you just said.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Is that I started reading it when I was like
- 17:15Speaker 2: seventeen and then grew up with it and like grew
- 17:18Speaker 2: up with the same age as like that main character. Yeah,
- 17:22Speaker 2: but I wasn't gonna pick that because I've already said
- 17:24Speaker 2: that before on the pod.
- 17:25Speaker 1: So I was going to say, the Vampire dies.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Vampire, Yeah, I fucking love that show. Yeah, but again,
- 17:33Speaker 2: would it hit as hard?
- 17:35Speaker 1: Who knows.
- 17:37Speaker 2: That's what I always try to remember when I am
- 17:40Speaker 2: watching a new show for the very first time or
- 17:43Speaker 2: reading a new book series for the very first time,
- 17:45Speaker 2: that I'm like, this is the first time I get
- 17:47Speaker 2: to do this, Yeah, and I am not, like I'm
- 17:52Speaker 2: not appreciating it to the value I should, Like I
- 17:55Speaker 2: need to be not scrolling on my phone when I'm
- 17:57Speaker 2: watching this or really like enjoying how good this is
- 18:01Speaker 2: that I get to crawl into bed and read this
- 18:03Speaker 2: book for the first fucking time, Like that is just
- 18:07Speaker 2: so delicious and I just want to eat that feeling
- 18:10Speaker 2: every day.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I love that. Yeah.
- 18:13Speaker 3: I think it's such a good reminder to live in
- 18:14Speaker 3: the moment but also not live in the past too
- 18:19Speaker 3: much and wishing that you can recreate things like that
- 18:22Speaker 3: because you can't.
- 18:23Speaker 1: You just can't. It's lightning in a bottle, and there
- 18:26Speaker 1: are so many things that whether it's you're gonna say
- 18:29Speaker 1: lightning McQueen queen that it could.
- 18:34Speaker 3: Be like an experience, a TV show, a book, whatever,
- 18:37Speaker 3: it is a memory that you look back on, you're.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Like, God, I just missed.
- 18:43Speaker 3: You can miss it, of course, but you know you're
- 18:44Speaker 3: really pine for it, and you're not living in the
- 18:47Speaker 3: moment because you're like, you just never know if it
- 18:49Speaker 3: would have hit exactly the same, because who you are
- 18:52Speaker 3: at that moment in time is so unique. Yeah, And
- 18:55Speaker 3: there's a reason why whatever it was resonated with you
- 18:58Speaker 3: so deeply in that moment, and perhaps if you were
- 19:01Speaker 3: to experience it now, it wouldn't be quite the same,
- 19:03Speaker 3: wouldn't have that same impact on you.
- 19:06Speaker 1: My second one would be the oc all right, our
- 19:11Speaker 1: last one, because we don't want to give them all away.
- 19:13Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly, Who want them to be a surprise when
- 19:16Speaker 3: you chick drinks with the girls.
- 19:19Speaker 1: All right? If you could make one rule that everyone
- 19:23Speaker 1: in the world had to follow. What would it be?
- 19:27Speaker 1: I know, what, when you see someone, you have to
- 19:30Speaker 1: smile at them. What if they don't deserve it?
- 19:33Speaker 2: Though, I think if everyone smiled at each other, the
- 19:37Speaker 2: world would be a better fucking place.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true. Maybe some of the people who aren't
- 19:42Speaker 1: so nice would be nicer people. If someone was smiling,
- 19:45Speaker 1: they experienced kindness and therefore couldn't give it back to someone.
- 19:49Speaker 2: That's true, because like I or if someone smiles at you,
- 19:52Speaker 2: you've got to smile at the next person.
- 19:54Speaker 1: The little flow on effect.
- 19:56Speaker 3: Pay it forward.
- 19:57Speaker 1: Smile at that's cute. That's the rule I would make.
- 20:00Speaker 3: And also everyone has to compliment me, every single person.
- 20:05Speaker 1: In the world.
- 20:06Speaker 2: I need seven billion or eight billion compliments per day.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Thank you? Okay.
- 20:10Speaker 3: Mine would be that we would have a two day
- 20:15Speaker 3: working week and a five day weekend and everybody has
- 20:19Speaker 3: to follow it, so we're all on the same page here.
- 20:21Speaker 3: Nothing would get done, SOEU would okay, we'd all bring
- 20:25Speaker 3: down our expectations what was required.
- 20:28Speaker 1: I love that because it would be different.
- 20:30Speaker 3: If we just had a two day working week and
- 20:32Speaker 3: a five day weekend, then we'd be like, oh fuck.
- 20:35Speaker 1: I love that you went for two days. You didn't
- 20:36Speaker 1: go for four.
- 20:38Speaker 3: You didn't go for because I was like, let's flip
- 20:39Speaker 3: it and reverse you know what's that song, Missy Elliott?
- 20:45Speaker 1: And reverse it? If you got a big let me
- 20:52Speaker 1: search it and had I gotta work?
- 20:55Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe I went home and read the lyric book Elliot.
- 21:00Speaker 1: I've revealed too much on the show. All right, what
- 21:05Speaker 1: would you do with five days off? Whatever I wanted? See?
- 21:09Speaker 1: That kind of scares me because I'm a bit of
- 21:11Speaker 1: a workoholic, so I'm like, what else is there? I
- 21:16Speaker 1: would just be working clean my house for five days.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Oh you're a freak. You're weird.
- 21:22Speaker 3: So clean.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Well, there's a.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Little sneak peak for our Rich Conversations, so if you
- 21:29Speaker 2: want to get your own, you can get them in
- 21:32Speaker 2: the Rich in Life bundle because the November pre order
- 21:37Speaker 2: sold out, which was a sleigh. Or you can get
- 21:41Speaker 2: just the Rich in Life Conversations as a pre order
- 21:44Speaker 2: for December, so they're all available.
- 21:46Speaker 1: It just depends when you want it.
- 21:47Speaker 2: If you want them now, get them in the bundle,
- 21:50Speaker 2: or if you're happy to wait, you can just get
- 21:51Speaker 2: them on their own, but they'll probably come around December
- 21:54Speaker 2: January because they sold out and we had to put
- 21:56Speaker 2: another order in.
- 21:57Speaker 1: We'll keep you updated, yes, but shared you advice with
- 22:01Speaker 1: the Chicky Jaw. Now let's do it.
- 22:07Speaker 3: This chick says, I'm twenty nine and I've been with
- 22:10Speaker 3: my partner for two years. He has an amazing group
- 22:13Speaker 3: of friends that he's had for the majority of his life.
- 22:16Speaker 3: I'm struggling with jelling with some of the wives and
- 22:18Speaker 3: girlfriends of his friends, and it really gets me down
- 22:20Speaker 3: from time to time. To be fair, they've been friends
- 22:23Speaker 3: for many, many years and individually very lovely, but I
- 22:27Speaker 3: found it gatherings. It's very much a pack mentality, and
- 22:30Speaker 3: I'm left on the outer. I'm also quite a bit
- 22:33Speaker 3: younger than most of them, as they're in their mid thirties.
- 22:36Speaker 3: I've spoken with my partner about it many times, and
- 22:39Speaker 3: he's so supportive of my feelings and has encouraged friendships
- 22:42Speaker 3: as much as he can. I never thought I'd be
- 22:44Speaker 3: struggling this much to make friends at twenty nine, and
- 22:47Speaker 3: almost feel like they don't need any more friends, so
- 22:49Speaker 3: they just don't bother to include.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Me in their girly catchups.
- 22:53Speaker 3: I hate that I care so much to want to
- 22:55Speaker 3: fit in with the wives, but it's just been looming
- 22:58Speaker 3: over me for ages.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Help.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Oh my god, that's such a natural emotion, Like, don't
- 23:04Speaker 2: feel bad about the fact that you want to fit in,
- 23:06Speaker 2: Like that is a natural human reaction.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Like humans are kind of like pack.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Animals, so it is a natural urge to want to belong.
- 23:17Speaker 2: So like regardless of age, regardless of whether you're twenty
- 23:21Speaker 2: nine or forty two, sixty eight or twelve years old,
- 23:24Speaker 2: wanting to belong is a natural thing to want and feel.
- 23:29Speaker 1: I don't think we ever grow out of that, and
- 23:31Speaker 1: we're not supposed to.
- 23:32Speaker 2: No, when you if you don't have that, you're losing
- 23:36Speaker 2: out on the ability to love and feel and enjoy
- 23:39Speaker 2: people and.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Make new friends exactly.
- 23:42Speaker 2: I think I do completely understand like the dynamic in
- 23:45Speaker 2: the scenario of this situation.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Don't you.
- 23:48Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure, And I think that so many people do,
- 23:52Speaker 3: especially if you know you're with somebody and they they're
- 23:57Speaker 3: friends with, you know, their same friends from high school
- 24:00Speaker 3: or primary school, and they have that bond. I do think,
- 24:03Speaker 3: though that you've said that they're all lovely individually.
- 24:07Speaker 1: So I think there's hope.
- 24:09Speaker 3: But I do think that sometimes people get stuck in
- 24:12Speaker 3: their old ways and their old routines and their clicks
- 24:15Speaker 3: without even.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Yeah, even be realizing that they're kind of being a
- 24:19Speaker 2: bit of a pack yeah and ostracizing you.
- 24:22Speaker 3: I think that you could potentially take back the power
- 24:26Speaker 3: a little bit.
- 24:27Speaker 1: And be like, I'm hosting a girls' night, and you
- 24:31Speaker 1: set up the group message and you reach out to
- 24:33Speaker 1: everyone and.
- 24:33Speaker 3: Be like, hey, chicks, I'm thinking, let's have like a
- 24:36Speaker 3: wine and cheese night at mine and invite everybody over
- 24:40Speaker 3: and show them how much of a fun time you
- 24:42Speaker 3: are and how great it would be if you all
- 24:44Speaker 3: hang out together and see how that goes. Because you
- 24:47Speaker 3: never know, you might even do it and then be like, oh,
- 24:50Speaker 3: actually this isn't for me, or you'll realize that you
- 24:54Speaker 3: guys do have a lot in common and have a
- 24:56Speaker 3: really good time. And I think that might is that
- 25:00Speaker 3: for you a little bit, because at the moment, it's
- 25:01Speaker 3: sort of like you're on the outs, which I do
- 25:04Speaker 3: understand is really hard and that also takes like a
- 25:06Speaker 3: lot of courage to put yourself out there and host something.
- 25:09Speaker 3: But I think it could be a case that maybe
- 25:11Speaker 3: they don't.
- 25:11Speaker 1: Even realize that they're doing it people.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Just have a habitual in their relationships. Yeah, Like they
- 25:17Speaker 2: gravitate to what they know and what they're comfortable with.
- 25:20Speaker 2: So given the fact that they have known each other
- 25:22Speaker 2: for longer, that's what they naturally gravitate to. That's what
- 25:25Speaker 2: they're naturally comfortable with. And so so often people don't
- 25:29Speaker 2: realize that some people might not feel as comfortable or
- 25:33Speaker 2: gravitate as easily. And so yeah, I think that's such
- 25:37Speaker 2: a great piece of advice, no notes, no addition, it's
- 25:40Speaker 2: no comments.
- 25:41Speaker 3: And I think as well, I like, I'm sure they
- 25:44Speaker 3: are all lovely, but I do also think that sometimes
- 25:47Speaker 3: there's an expectation that you have to get along with
- 25:50Speaker 3: your partner's friends and their partners, and same with family.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Or whatever it is.
- 25:56Speaker 3: But like, guess what you don't have to Yeah, and
- 25:59Speaker 3: so you also could you know, if you don't get
- 26:02Speaker 3: along with them genuinely, you actually don't want to be
- 26:04Speaker 3: their friends, Like take some of that pressure off you
- 26:07Speaker 3: as well, Like you don't have to be in their
- 26:10Speaker 3: click or in their group or have a really close
- 26:12Speaker 3: relationship with these people. If you don't genuinely connect and
- 26:16Speaker 3: get along, that doesn't make you a failure or any
- 26:19Speaker 3: less deserving of friends. It just means that maybe you're
- 26:22Speaker 3: not compatible and that's okay too, But I think try
- 26:24Speaker 3: the Girl's Night and see how that goes. It reminds
- 26:26Speaker 3: me of spoilers in case you haven't seen it, but
- 26:30Speaker 3: in Nobody Wants this.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Yes, I know exactly the sactly what made me think
- 26:35Speaker 1: of that.
- 26:35Speaker 3: There's a scene exactly like this where the new girlfriend
- 26:39Speaker 3: is trying to break into the wife get strunk with them,
- 26:41Speaker 3: and she gets drunk with them and they bond immediately.
- 26:44Speaker 1: So and she bonds with them when she like just
- 26:47Speaker 1: starts being herself exactly. Yeah, love it. Well that's a
- 26:52Speaker 1: wrap woo.
- 26:53Speaker 2: We will leave a link in the show notes if
- 26:55Speaker 2: you want to get your hands on your own Rich
- 26:57Speaker 2: Conversations or Rich in Life bundle. And we do just
- 27:01Speaker 2: want to say, like a massive, huge fuck off thank
- 27:03Speaker 2: you to everyone who just continues to listen and support
- 27:08Speaker 2: us and allow us to just live the absolute dream.
- 27:11Speaker 2: Like every day we're like, what's going on?
- 27:16Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 27:17Speaker 2: It just it's actually incredible, Like we can't believe it's
- 27:21Speaker 2: November and that this year has just been so wild
- 27:25Speaker 2: in the best way possible. There's been ups and downs,
- 27:28Speaker 2: but at the end of the day, we're just so
- 27:30Speaker 2: thankful to be here and be in your ear holes.
- 27:33Speaker 2: I want to like give your ear a little kiss
- 27:36Speaker 2: from beside will for me?
- 27:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I want to like tongue your e right now. Yeah.
- 27:42Speaker 1: I love you so much.
- 27:44Speaker 2: If you feel a little brush on shoulder, it's me
- 27:46Speaker 2: giving you a hug.
