  He has delivered us, praise God, from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the

  kingdom of his beloved son in whom we have redemption for forgiveness of our sins.

  Therefore, do not become partners with them for you were once darkness, but now you are

  light in the world, walk, I'm sorry, light in the Lord, walk as children of light.

  And then that goes on, but Jack Marino, former occultist and also was involved heavily

  with free masonry, we're going to hear her story today, welcome sister, good to see

  Well, it's so good to be here with you and thank you so much for having me on.

  Before we get into your story a little deeper than what we were able to do last time, two

  things I want you to share, how is the new podcast going with the ladies?

  It just looks like you're having so much fun talking about some important heavy things

  at times, but it looks like a lot of fun.

  Let's start there.

  It's been so much fun getting to tackle these topics that we lived and breathed and

  believed and really come at them with a biblical perspective, seeking to exalt Christ and

  having fun.

  We're just a bunch of girlfriends talking about these things, but giving serious warnings

  about how dangerous these beliefs and these teachings can be during herself having taught
• 2:35
  some of them.

  So it's just been really sweet getting together and getting to exposed darkness together.

  Yeah, it's so needed.

  And you guys each have a very unique perspective and story that it's beneficial to a lot of

  Christians who see all these subtle and some not so subtle influences out there, whether

  it's new age, a cult or other things.

  Before we get into some other things, you're recently married.

  I would still some would consider you a newlywed.

  I'm assuming you went to the same church or something like that.

  Tell your story briefly.

  Yes.

  I just love my husband so much.

  We did meet at our church.
• 3:29
  We had kind of a funny story that we're looking forward to sharing soon.

  A lot of just a long span of confusing and church friendship.

  I was interested.

  He was interested that whole story, but it's really a story of God's redemption.

  And I'm so glad that I followed the Lord and it's been cool seeing God use this marriage

  to redeem so many aspects of my past.

  It's been wonderful.

  So I'm sure we'll hear more about that.

  I love just the post, the pictures you post and just what you're trying to do to encourage

  people as you're now on a new journey as far as being married.

  I caught, I watched some of that and it's very good.

  But just seeing your eyes and the before and the after.

  We showed last time you guys were on with Doreen and Jen.

  We showed a before picture of you guys in an after and you can just see.

  And the theme today is from darkness to light.

  You can just see the light of Christ because why that's the Holy Spirit in us.

  And we used to live in the world.
• 4:52
  We used to be of the world and that would be unholy spirits or demonic spirits.
• 4:56
  And so I want to hear that in your story.
• 4:59
  Now, people don't understand there's a spiritual pull to the left, to the dark side.

  So to speak, because Satan's got his minions, they are trying to recruit people just like
• 5:11
  we are to make disciples.
• 5:13
  The left, Satan, the enemy is recruiting people for the darkness.
• 5:18
  So share your story.
• 5:20
  You didn't grow up a Christian.
• 5:21
  I'm guessing.
• 5:22
  And then you got into the occult and free masonry.
• 5:25
  So just take us back to that.
• 5:29
  So actually, I would have said that I was a Christian growing up.
• 5:32
  I surprisingly, yes, but the reality was that I was not.
• 5:37
  I didn't know the gospel.
• 5:39
  I didn't know the truth, but I went to a Christian preschool.
• 5:43
  Wow.
• 5:44
  Very different.
• 5:45
  Old self.
• 5:47
  And I had no real understanding of Jesus who was someone that I believed was
• 5:52
  Lord, but didn't know what that meant.
• 5:55
  And someone I would imagine when I was scared.
• 5:57
  But I was sexually abused as a child that left a lot of confusion, a lot of guilt,
• 6:02
  a lot of pain, a lot of instead of me knowing who God is and being able to run to him as
• 6:08
  a good father, as someone who would protect me and take care of me.
• 6:11
  I just tried to lie and hide these things and outrun them.
• 6:16
  When I was seven, my abuser was caught abusing a child and was sent away.
• 6:23
  And I remember receiving a call asking, did anything ever happen to you?
• 6:27
  Did he ever touch you?
• 6:28
  And I was so afraid of being exposed.
• 6:32
  So I just told myself if I believe the lie that nothing happened,
• 6:35
  then I can basically create my own reality, start my own life and it never happened.
• 6:41
  And around that time too, I had my first really supernatural experience where I saw
• 6:47
  these lights in the sky that were very personal beings to me.
• 6:51
  And so in my mind, I just guess that they were the angels of my dad's friends who passed away.
• 6:57
  My dad was addicted to drugs and alcohol and he had friends who passed away from complications
• 7:02
  with that. And so that was the association that I made.
• 7:05
  But later learning about aliens and UFOs, that was super alluring to me to give kind of a world
• 7:12
  view, a place for these very real to me supernatural experiences that I had.
• 7:17
  And something that came with it too was this belief that no one knows me really.
• 7:22
  I'm hiding in all of these secrets that I have.
• 7:25
  But these entities, they know me, they accept me and I'm special to them.
• 7:31
  And that experience really led me on this trajectory of starting to embrace in high school,
• 7:36
  reading the book The Secret by Ronda Burn, getting into that law of attraction,
• 7:41
  kind of watered down, sold at Barnes & Noble.
• 7:44
  Really, a learning to me, the idea that I can create my own reality because I didn't like my
• 7:49
  reality. I had a lot of pain. There were good parts to my life, but a lot of it was spent
• 7:56
  escaping myself. I turned to drugs and alcohol to escape the pain.
• 8:00
  And those law of attraction ideas that seemed very innocent and just empowering at first really
• 8:07
  led me and started to open up my mind to more spiritual rather than religious beliefs.
• 8:16
  I started, even though I would have said I was a Christian while living like the devil,
• 8:21
  I started letting go of what little I knew about truth to embrace different lies,
• 8:29
  like sexual preference lies to just very in the world and confused and escaping myself.
• 8:37
  And that led me into the new age and then just to try to make it as short as I can,
• 8:46
  the new age spirituality really embracing psychedelics. I was in a manipulative relationship
• 8:53
  with a newager that led to me getting into crystals and going to burning man type of festivals
• 8:59
  and embracing, you know, burning sage all the time and looking at my astrology charts and really
• 9:04
  getting into these still seemingly beautiful and fun and light work practices. But again,
• 9:12
  getting rid and giving up on more and more of the very small, again, amount that I knew about
• 9:19
  Christ. And that's really how I started ushering in from thinking I'm a Christian, having that
• 9:25
  supernatural experience and then being led to the new age, which at first seemed good, but I ended
• 9:31
  up going into a much darker offshoot of that. Okay, can I just ask you to explain your transition,
• 9:39
  I shouldn't say transition, it was kind of part of a progression, a spiritual progression from
• 9:44
  the lava traction. First of all, you thought maybe you were a Christian, but according to the
• 9:49
  Bible and the word of God, you weren't probably saved and redeemed and right, you weren't born again,
• 9:53
  but you know, everybody's a Christian in America, right, if you're born here. Exactly.
• 9:57
  Anyway, or if you went to church on Christmas and Easter, but so the lava traction is an interesting
• 10:03
  part of your story because that's a lot of people that are in churches today, a lot of believers
• 10:09
  still kind of gravitate toward that because it sounds like, oh, man, that makes sense, karma,
• 10:15
  and that kind of thing. So explain how that eventually led you to the new age,
• 10:19
  you just fill in some gaps for us. Yes. Well, the idea that ultimately in the lava traction
• 10:26
  in the secret, you are basically almighty, you magnetize everything to yourself, you are the
• 10:32
  creator of your own reality. So whatever thoughts you think is what creates your reality, it basically
• 10:38
  makes you God because, and I understand that on the surface, it doesn't sound like that, it's,
• 10:44
  it gets very popular in culture. Oh, I'm just going to do this to manifest this person or this
• 10:49
  job. Yes. Yes. But at the core, it's making you God, because if I am, if I magnetize things to
• 10:58
  myself, if my thoughts create reality, if I create reality, because I'm this powerful force that
• 11:03
  co-conspires with the universe, like the lava traction teaches, then I'm, there doesn't really
• 11:09
  leave room for God, or if there does, it's more of this source energy or universe. And so it kind of
• 11:16
  made the, it was just the logical next step for me, as I really dove into this wanting to live
• 11:22
  this out, because there are a lot of things about my reality that I wanted to change, and I wanted
• 11:27
  control over. It was just kind of the logical next thing to dive deeper into, okay, if my alien
• 11:34
  experiences and the universe is bigger than I learned growing up, then it gave this context for,
• 11:41
  maybe I am more powerful than I think, maybe I can create my own reality, and maybe God is actually
• 11:48
  this source energy, which is new age teaching, is making God this one that all religions kind of
• 11:57
  try to grasp, which is a terrible lie. Yeah. God is in everything. God is a consciousness.

  There's so many different words or descriptive ways we could put it, but we've got to take a
• 12:09

  your transition to the new age now. You're in there heavily. We didn't mention Freemasonry yet.

  How did that come about? Go ahead and take it from that part of your story. It's very interesting.

  Yes. There's so much in between on where I really started doing psychedelics and really
• 13:31
  wanting to open myself to these beings that I've experienced since a child. Through all of these
• 13:37
  things, I was led to this entity called Folk in Egyptian Hermeticism in the Egyptian world,
• 13:43
  this deity, which I truly believe is a demon, but I was being led in the sense that things would
• 13:49
  glow to me. I was really out of my mind at this point because I believe these entities wanted
• 13:56
  to see through my eyes. I believed I was called to this and so really starting to get really deep
• 14:01
  in the occult. I was led to these both tarot cards made by Elster Crowley. That through a series
• 14:10
  of events, me really being drawn to Masonic symbolism, reading sources from mothers and
• 14:17
  regarding who just wrote a lot about that, I was really passionately drawn to Masonry and the
• 14:24
  deep symbolism in it and the philosophy behind it. I actually was walking and this Freemason
• 14:35
  lodge glowed to me. I didn't know that it had to do with Freemasonry, but when I looked it up,
• 14:39
  it just was the next thing for me to do. I reached out to them. They told me that women in
• 14:46
  America cannot be Freemasons, but they kind of pointed me in other directions, but I even
• 14:52
  checked out Rosicrucianism, went to a meeting. It wasn't quite a fit for me, but I kept feeling
• 14:58
  drawn to this order called the Golden Dawn and Elster Crowley at one point was a part of it and it was
• 15:05
  really taking, it was formed by three Freemasons and that they really took a lot of the
• 15:12
  Masonic allegory and ritual and put it into this more magical order. Rather than philosophy
• 15:19
  of the Rosicrucians, it's practical magic. I ended up joining and initiating into this order and
• 15:27
  where we happened to meet was a Freemason lodge. I get a lot of pushback women can't be Freemasons.
• 15:32
  I'm fully aware of that. I totally affirm that at least in America right now who knows what
• 15:37
  future, but yes, however, the order that I was in practice in a Masonic lodge, we used a lot of
• 15:44
  the same symbolism like the checkered floors and the two pillars and the middle pillar rituals
• 15:50
  that we did borrowed a lot from Masonic symbolism in this order that I was in and I was in and tell
• 15:58
  the Lord eventually saved me and still right after I was saved, there was a period of time where
• 16:03
  I believed I could be in the order and be a Christian and the Lord really had to sanctify me
• 16:07
  in that area, but we were practicing ritual magic in this Masonic lodge using their symbolism
• 16:15
  to do our rituals and that's why I'm so passionate about Freemasonry being opposed to God,
• 16:22
  even on the surface, even what they publicly say they believe is unbiblical.

  Yeah, but what we were doing was invoking Egyptian deities which were demons. We were doing spell
• 16:36
  work and all wearing the black robe and the red socks and the whole thing, but to me because
• 16:44
  from a child, it was like this quest that I was on this journey and it was like finally what I've
• 16:50
  been being trained for my whole life I'm doing and it wasn't it was heavy in terms of dark and
• 16:58
  scary, but I didn't think of it as bad or wrong because of all the justifications I made
• 17:04
  throughout my life. So I love how you touched on people thinking manifestation is so light and
• 17:09
  good, but I wanted to get to the core of where it came from and that's where I was in that Masonic
• 17:14
  lodge wearing a dark black robe practicing ritual magic. Okay, so you're you're doing ritual magic
• 17:22
  in practicing the occult in a Freemason's lodge. What purpose did you believe that you were serving?
• 17:31
  What did you get out of it? Because people don't go just don't do things just for the heck of it.
• 17:35
  You probably really believed that this was helping you in some reason or some way or did you
• 17:40
  think you were helping other people somehow? Yeah, both. Which is so I mean seeing Lucifer as a light
• 17:48
  bear and really getting everything twisted you can make anything sound like a good endeavor.
• 17:52
  And so a lot of it is this alchemical process basically trying to transmute what is dark in you
• 17:58
  into higher and kind of meet God in this way. Very works based religion as everything apart from
• 18:04
  Christianity is but it's not like I was there thinking at least in the order that I was in
• 18:11
  that I was doing harm to people or that I was there was no none of that but what I was doing was
• 18:16
  demonic invoking demons thinking that I am God they taught that Jesus is a type that you can
• 18:23
  become that there can be no atonement for your sin you have to become Jesus. All these demonic
• 18:29
  philosophies but I thought that what I was doing was for the highest good of all concerned.

  A lot of word salad basically fluffy words that sound good but when we just look biblically
• 18:41
  I was being practiced and taught it is opposed to Christ it is anti Christ.

  So first of all let's clarify if you missed it if you're listening to her story going wow you might

  not have missed the point that free masonry is a religion and it is not Christian not even close.

  Now they believe in doing good works I mean out in society with what is it the Shriners and so
• 19:10
  many others you know they're doing a lot of good works but at the core and some of the rituals
• 19:15
  and some of the secrets and some of the the things they do the symbol it is not Christian and I
• 19:21
  believe they don't even allow the name of Jesus to be used in their oaths or practices can you
• 19:27
  tell us a little bit more about that. I've heard that as well in the order that I was in the names
• 19:34
  that were used and I get I had questions from people who are still practicing golden dawn ceremonial
• 19:38
  magic and they're confused because in a lot of the rituals you vibrate like say in a certain
• 19:45
  the names of God but it's like Adonai Elohim but it's trying to rip from the Bible power magical power
• 19:55
  and using God's name in vain and so although even if which in in the order I was in we didn't use
• 20:01
  the name of Jesus to to practice rituals at least I didn't still you could believe whoever you
• 20:09
  wanted as long like as long as you believed in a God you could be any religion they claim to be
• 20:16
  kind of it wouldn't go against any religion if you just believe in God you'll be fine but at the end
• 20:22
  of the day it downplays Christ to just be a type that you become so all that to say I have also
• 20:29
  heard that in in Freemasonry and a lot of in a lot of lodgers they don't let Jesus's name be said
• 20:37
  I don't I can't speak from experience but I do know that even if his name was said just saying
• 20:43
  that name doesn't make it Christian or biblical and that's something I really have to
• 20:48
  talk about a lot because I was so deceived in this order thinking I was getting close to the
• 20:53
  biblical God thinking I was getting closer to Christ because I was using words from the Bible
• 20:58
  or in some rituals some Bible verses in Latin but the teachings and the beliefs were completely
• 21:05
  opposed to the gospel and without the gospel when you have a false Jesus you have you don't
• 21:12
  have salvation because that Jesus does not exist and cannot save you and so the grand architect
• 21:18
  of the universe cannot save you because he does not exist you need the true God and father
• 21:25
  son Holy Spirit found in the Bible G-A-O-T-U the grand architect of the universe that's big and
• 21:31

  Pennell we did a two shows actually on that last year with pastor John Pennell his father was a

  free mason for many many years and he got out of it he became a pastor and it's a great story

  if you want to look at those two on free masonry but jack so you're now you've been doing this for a

  while the spells the magic the practices how what brought you out of it we've got less than about
• 22:16
  five minutes left yeah God in his kindness in the rituals we used Bible verses out of context
• 22:25
  in another language but I thought I might as well read this other sacred text so I started reading
• 22:30
  the Bible I read that you can tell the tree by its fruit I didn't really know what that meant but I
• 22:35
  knew that the the higher ups in my order were were lost and just as depraved as me and that was
• 22:43
  very concerning and I read that Satan masquerades himself as an angel of light that it just kind of
• 22:49
  clicked for me and then one night in my apartment I remembered that Satan the serpent in the beginning
• 22:57
  told Adam and Eve if you eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you'll become like
• 23:02
  God knowing good and evil and that's the lie that I had bought and so beyond a shadow of a doubt it
• 23:07
  just pierced me Satan is behind what I'm doing I always kind of had that feeling but I knew and
• 23:13
  yet I was still too prideful to turn because I didn't know who I was apart from all this and then
• 23:18
  one night in my apartment just like any other night I was walking across it and I was spiritually
• 23:23
  attacked which would happen and I felt in my knees and it was like my soul was just being sucked out
• 23:29
  of my body into utter darkness and I had no control over it and I heard myself cry out Jesus Christ
• 23:36
  saved me and I meant it and in that moment I felt the peace that I'd been looking for my whole
• 23:42
  life and I knew that it was the God of the Bible the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit who had
• 23:48
  delivered me in that moment and given me the peace and I was shaking because I realized all
• 23:53
  that I'd been doing like was sin against this Almighty God in whom he's so powerful that all the
• 24:00
  powers of this darkness were nothing to him because he's all powerful and so I started reading the
• 24:07
  Bible for myself and even though I was taught all these you know allegorical ways to read it and
• 24:13
  coded ways it didn't matter because God's word pierced me revealed the thoughts and intentions
• 24:18
  of my heart and by the time I finished reading it I realized that I'd changed like who I was on the
• 24:24
  inside had completely changed and for the first time I realized I could get sober which was I never
• 24:30
  thought would happen I was I was just really a mess but I knew I had the Lord and so it's just
• 24:36
  been so amazing God's kindness to save me I didn't deserve it but coming to know that Jesus Christ
• 24:43
  truly lived that perfect life that I've not lived that I'd sinned against this holy perfect God
• 24:48
  who's given me every good thing I've ever had that Jesus lived the perfect life attempted as we are
• 24:54
  yet without sin died on the cross bearing my sin and God's wrath in my place died was buried
• 25:00
  raised on the third day seated at the right hand of God as the one mediator between God and man I
• 25:05
  could have never been my own savior but having faith in Christal and for my salvation and turning from
• 25:11
  that sin that is rebellion against the God who saved me it's just so amazing seeing
• 25:17
  God's redemptive work and his kindness and his power that even when I speak about this if I ever
• 25:23
  feel scared it's like I know the God of all creation the true God who truly saves in a way that none
• 25:30
  of those rituals would have ever saved me right there is peace in Christ preach it sister oh my goodness
• 25:39
  I could listen to that for like an hour but we're out of time almost so you're reading the Bible
• 25:45
  and very briefly what was the next step did you call a church did you call a friend did you run
• 25:50
  into someone who was a Christian who directed you to the next place in your life yeah I started
• 25:56
  listening to the radio I heard some sermons the first church sadly that I went to all that they
• 26:01
  talked about were LGBTQ rights and how they were going to like get into the church and I was so
• 26:06
  confused and it broke my heart because I was I was hungry for God you know but by God's grace I
• 26:12
  found a small church plant where I got plugged in the pastor and his wife sat with me and walked
• 26:17
  me through things that I I didn't understand in the Bible and and it was there that I really grew
• 26:23
  in the Lord in the body of Christ well it's clear that God has His hand on your life it's so
• 26:28
  exciting to see we though we didn't know the whole transformation we've heard bits and pieces of
• 26:33
  it now Jack and I love what you have on your website because you know has most of us do we are
• 26:38
  now called to share the good news and you've got Acts chapter 26 quoted where Paul you had your
• 26:44
  road to Damascus moment Paul had in his road he was sent to the Gentiles and it says to open their
• 26:49
  eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God why that they
• 26:57
  may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in Jesus
