- 0:51Speaker 7: that will give you some eternity to it, plus practical
- 0:54Speaker 7: tips for family life, spiritual life, and good old regular life.
- 1:01Speaker 7: It's Conna mcculloff Monday through Friday on that Kevin. Oh,
- 1:11Speaker 7: and now from the Connors in Sullivan Broadcast Studios.
- 1:15Speaker 1: The man who is.
- 1:16Speaker 7: Not what he wants to be, but is way grateful
- 1:20Speaker 7: that is not who he used to be.
- 1:23Speaker 3: Here all right, Welcome in, Kevin, o'kella, very glad to
- 1:29Speaker 3: have you with us. We've got a very interesting kickoff
- 1:33Speaker 3: to the brand New Week kind of the brand new
- 1:35Speaker 3: part of the year was. I gotta tell you, I
- 1:38Speaker 3: was so excited to aim the whole first half of
- 1:43Speaker 3: the year at getting to July fourth in America two
- 1:46Speaker 3: fifty and we did our big Times Square outdoor broadcast,
- 1:50Speaker 3: and then we did the broadcast on Saturday. And I
- 1:53Speaker 3: don't know if you got to hear me on RMW
- 1:57Speaker 3: World Travel or rm World Travel.
- 2:00Speaker 1: But the nation's largest travel show.
- 2:04Speaker 3: But I was a guest host of Robert and Mary
- 2:06Speaker 3: and RJ and Nick and the whole Carrie family who
- 2:09Speaker 3: put that show together. And what a great time we had.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Got to see the jets flying up and down the
- 2:15Speaker 3: coast of the Hudson River in New York City, and
- 2:19Speaker 3: then I got to see the boats coming in the
- 2:23Speaker 3: ship's beautiful, beautiful tall ships. And they haven't left yet.
- 2:27Speaker 3: We might, in fact, actually just take the family to
- 2:30Speaker 3: go see him more up close, because we can do
- 2:32Speaker 3: that for another few days before they leave. But having
- 2:35Speaker 3: said all of that, what a great celebration of our
- 2:39Speaker 3: nation's two hundred and fiftieth birthday. And I want to
- 2:41Speaker 3: say thank you to every one of you that came
- 2:45Speaker 3: out to a broadcast or said hi to me or
- 2:48Speaker 3: dropped me emails or pictures of things you were doing, etc.
- 2:51Speaker 3: It was just a great time. My email address if
- 2:55Speaker 3: you want to, by the way, that Kevin Show at
- 2:57Speaker 3: gmail dot com. That Kevin Show at gmail dot com.
- 3:00Speaker 3: But long, long story short, the world didn't stop turning
- 3:05Speaker 3: and the news didn't stop being made, and we still
- 3:09Speaker 3: have a lot of things that we have to work through,
- 3:10Speaker 3: which we're going to because I'm confident that now that
- 3:13Speaker 3: we've we've launched the second half of two point fifty
- 3:17Speaker 3: and we're into the back half of the year, that
- 3:19Speaker 3: we're just gonna we're going to continue to try to
- 3:22Speaker 3: make the world a better place. That's what America tries
- 3:25Speaker 3: to do. That's what we hope to do at That
- 3:27Speaker 3: Kevin Show. We put everything up at the website that
- 3:30Speaker 3: Kevinshow dot com. None of it's behind to pay. Weall
- 3:32Speaker 3: because why we want you to have access to it.
- 3:34Speaker 3: We want you to use it for your advantages and
- 3:38Speaker 3: to take advantage of the common sense that that you
- 3:44Speaker 3: know is trying to be permeated from this show every
- 3:48Speaker 3: single day. If you're if you're joining us late, you
- 3:51Speaker 3: may you may just have realized that the US men's
- 3:57Speaker 3: team is playing Belgium tonight for a spot in the
- 4:02Speaker 3: round of eight, which would be the next round beyond
- 4:06Speaker 3: this of the World Cup. And there were a lot
- 4:09Speaker 3: of us last week that thought that the red card
- 4:12Speaker 3: on full aerin begalin Belogan was just blooney, Blogan's red
- 4:20Speaker 3: card Blooney, but it got overturned. And now you're going
- 4:25Speaker 3: to have both clubs playing each other at full strength,
- 4:29Speaker 3: and it should be an entertaining game tonight as we
- 4:33Speaker 3: are all Team USA for the World Cup, and I
- 4:36Speaker 3: hope that they do well. We will see from that
- 4:39Speaker 3: point from this point forward. Some other things happened over
- 4:43Speaker 3: the weekend. I guess in Iran they had a state
- 4:47Speaker 3: funeral for the dead comane who has been evidently kept
- 4:53Speaker 3: on ice all this time, trying to, you know, avoid
- 5:00Speaker 3: aid the deterioration of his body. I don't know how
- 5:04Speaker 3: that works. In Islam, there's there's rules that say you
- 5:08Speaker 3: can't you can't preserve the body. The body's supposed to
- 5:10Speaker 3: be buried within X number of hours. They certainly didn't
- 5:13Speaker 3: do that, so I don't know. Is it serious. Does
- 5:18Speaker 3: it inspire the Uranian people to ignore the regime that
- 5:23Speaker 3: has punished them and brutally treated them for the last
- 5:28Speaker 3: fifty years the way they have I don't think so.
- 5:31Speaker 3: But that's that happened over the weekend. And we've got
- 5:35Speaker 3: a lot to talk about on today's show because today
- 5:37Speaker 3: is Money Monday. We try to help you address, you know,
- 5:43Speaker 3: money and investing in legacy and stewardship once a week
- 5:47Speaker 3: and lou Bassinice and Hillary Kramer are going to be
- 5:50Speaker 3: with us today to take on that topic, and both
- 5:53Speaker 3: of them have some thoughts about the selloff on Thursday's
- 5:57Speaker 3: round of Chips getting sold. I want to have some
- 6:00Speaker 3: conservative plays and I want to have some hedge so
- 6:03Speaker 3: that I don't, you know, risk too much, et cetera.
- 6:06Speaker 3: And so one of the ways she does that is
- 6:08Speaker 3: by encouraging people to look at stocks that have dividend
- 6:14Speaker 3: yields in them is which is in essence the same
- 6:18Speaker 3: thing as an interest rate on a savings account or
- 6:23Speaker 3: a CD or something you might do through the bank.
- 6:25Speaker 3: But the problem is most of your banks are under
- 6:28Speaker 3: three percent, I think on savings programs, and if you
- 6:31Speaker 3: get like a really aggressive one at maybe three and
- 6:33Speaker 3: a half or maybe four percent, well in some companies
- 6:37Speaker 3: that are fairly financially sound. They sometimes can be double that.
- 6:43Speaker 3: So she's got ten stocks for us today that will pay.
- 6:49Speaker 3: I believe everybody on the list pays three percent or
- 6:52Speaker 3: more all the way up to seven percent, maybe above
- 6:56Speaker 3: seven percent on the dividend yield. And one of them
- 6:59Speaker 3: in Pertwentar, calculates your dividend weekly and pays you, pays
- 7:05Speaker 3: you weekly or monthly, where it's a lot of companies
- 7:08Speaker 3: you only get it quarterly. But she's got she's got
- 7:11Speaker 3: a list of good things for us there. And then
- 7:13Speaker 3: Lou has his own kind of goodies list. Today he's
- 7:16Speaker 3: going to talk to us about some AI options that
- 7:19Speaker 3: aren't titled in Vidia, and Vidia is really hard to
- 7:22Speaker 3: get into. The price per share is really high, and
- 7:27Speaker 3: maybe you want to take advantage of the fury around
- 7:31Speaker 3: the AI activity and benefit from that financially, but you
- 7:36Speaker 3: don't have that level of investment capability. Well, what are
- 7:41Speaker 3: ten other AI plays that are more economically priced but
- 7:45Speaker 3: that have in Lou's opinion, a bona fide upside in
- 7:50Speaker 3: the weeks and months to come. Well, we'll get to
- 7:52Speaker 3: that with Lou Bassinice this hour and Hillarruby with us
- 7:56Speaker 3: in the second hour, So looking forward to all of that. Now,
- 8:03Speaker 3: we got some other things to talk about today, and
- 8:05Speaker 3: I just want to relay something that was really personally
- 8:09Speaker 3: moving to me.
- 8:09Speaker 1: We're going to start a new series.
- 8:10Speaker 3: By the way, how do We Live. We've got Pastor
- 8:16Speaker 3: Grossi joining us from the Commonwealth Bible Church in the Bronx,
- 8:22Speaker 3: which is a great little church, and doctor Joel is
- 8:25Speaker 3: just a really good guy. And then later in hour
- 8:29Speaker 3: two something we don't normally do, we're going to talk
- 8:31Speaker 3: to another pastor and we're going to go deep on
- 8:34Speaker 3: the Book of Judges. When is the last time you
- 8:37Speaker 3: were around anybody that even referenced the Book of Judges,
- 8:41Speaker 3: much less taught on it. Well, it's a very applicable
- 8:47Speaker 3: piece of scripture if you're talking about living in the
- 8:50Speaker 3: world we live in right now, dealing with the stuff
- 8:53Speaker 3: that we're dealing with right now, because the people of Israel,
- 8:58Speaker 3: the children of Israel, were such a hot mess in
- 9:01Speaker 3: the time of the Book of Judges, and yet it
- 9:04Speaker 3: mirrors largely what we're dealing with right now. So I
- 9:10Speaker 3: was able to be in attendance at his services yesterday.
- 9:13Speaker 3: But Ryan batesl from Emergence Church is going to join
- 9:16Speaker 3: us just as kind of a freelance discussion of the
- 9:19Speaker 3: Book of Judges and why it matters, and if you're
- 9:22Speaker 3: not a Bible person, don't think this is boring. Judges
- 9:27Speaker 3: is an R rated movie that gets worse as it
- 9:29Speaker 3: goes along, Like it starts at level one crazy and
- 9:33Speaker 3: goes to level five by the end of it. I
- 9:36Speaker 3: was truly amazed at how applicable some of this stuff is.
- 9:40Speaker 3: And we'll talk with Ryan in the second hour, and
- 9:42Speaker 3: so I hope you'll stick around. That's it as we
- 9:45Speaker 3: kick off a brand new week of that Kevin Show.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Everything from the show at that Kevinshow dot com, and
- 9:50Speaker 3: I hope that you'll go check it out. Coming right
- 9:53Speaker 3: back with a brand new week of How Do We Live?
- 9:54Speaker 5: Stay here Here?
- 10:12Speaker 2: He is from New York exactly, Ken, Kevin McCullough.
- 10:22Speaker 3: All right, welcome, it's Kevin McCullough. Glad you're with us.
- 10:25Speaker 3: A very interesting Monday straight ahead of us. After super
- 10:29Speaker 3: super hot heat over the weekend, we got this rainy
- 10:32Speaker 3: start to the week here in the Tri state area.
- 10:34Speaker 3: I hope that you're doing well wherever you are, from
- 10:38Speaker 3: San Diego to bangor Maine, anywhere in between, thank you
- 10:41Speaker 3: for being with us.
- 10:42Speaker 1: We're grateful for it.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Everything's at that kevinshow dot com. By the way, we
- 10:46Speaker 3: never put anything behind a paywall there because we always
- 10:48Speaker 3: want you to have access to it. And this is
- 10:50Speaker 3: the part of the show each day where we say
- 10:53Speaker 3: how do we live? You know that if you've listened
- 10:54Speaker 3: to me for any length of time, I say this
- 10:57Speaker 3: all the time. We don't ask the big question enough.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Who am I? Why am I here? Why did God
- 11:03Speaker 3: create me? What is my purpose in being here? And
- 11:06Speaker 3: how do we live in the midst of being in
- 11:09Speaker 3: a culture that may despise God, may hate his word,
- 11:13Speaker 3: may look at us quite suspicious if we say anything
- 11:16Speaker 3: positive about either, Well, that's the hand we've been dealt.
- 11:19Speaker 3: So how do we live in the midst of that?
- 11:21Speaker 3: I would argue we don't. Our mission doesn't change, but
- 11:25Speaker 3: doing it with wisdom is I think wise. So we
- 11:29Speaker 3: ask a different shepherd to join us each week to
- 11:32Speaker 3: break down some passages and to.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Help us do just that.
- 11:35Speaker 3: And Pastor Joel Grossi is back with us from Commonwealth
- 11:38Speaker 3: Baptist Church. He was with us in twenty twenty five.
- 11:40Speaker 3: And doctor Joel, it's good to have you back our nation.
- 11:46Speaker 3: You know, coming off of two fifty, we have a
- 11:49Speaker 3: lot going on in the world around us, and I
- 11:53Speaker 3: think we play an outsized role of importance. The Church
- 11:57Speaker 3: meaning plays an outsized role of importance in that we
- 12:00Speaker 3: are we are the community that's actually charged with making
- 12:04Speaker 3: a difference. We're supposed to have impact on the world
- 12:07Speaker 3: around us. And this week we're going to look at
- 12:10Speaker 3: a different way to do that. We're gonna look at
- 12:12Speaker 3: Matthew chapter eleven. What's going on there? What's the context?
- 12:16Speaker 3: Welcome back?
- 12:17Speaker 8: Hey, thanks so much, Kevin really appreciate it. And yeah,
- 12:20Speaker 8: I think Matthew eleven is a key passage because this
- 12:24Speaker 8: is where the Lord Jesus really kind of reminds the
- 12:27Speaker 8: disciples about the calling that they have to really, as
- 12:32Speaker 8: you were just saying, make such.
- 12:33Speaker 6: An impact on the world around us.
- 12:37Speaker 8: And you've got the context of John the Baptist there
- 12:41Speaker 8: and his disciples are talking with the Lord and his disciples,
- 12:44Speaker 8: and he reminds his disciples, you know, remind John about
- 12:49Speaker 8: all the all the miracles that you've seen me do.
- 12:52Speaker 8: The blind receive their site, the lame or walking, the
- 12:55Speaker 8: lepers are cleansed, the deaf here the debtor raised up,
- 12:59Speaker 8: you know, really amazing, miraculous stuff. And the last thing
- 13:03Speaker 8: he says is and the poor have the Gospel preach
- 13:06Speaker 8: to them. And if you just picture, you know, this
- 13:10Speaker 8: group of five people, and here's a guy who says,
- 13:14Speaker 8: I used to be blind and now I see, And
- 13:16Speaker 8: another one says, I used to be deaf and now
- 13:18Speaker 8: I hear.
- 13:18Speaker 6: And you're like, wow, that's amazing.
- 13:20Speaker 8: And you get to the fifth guy and he says, yeah,
- 13:24Speaker 8: I'm poor.
- 13:25Speaker 6: But I had the Gospel preach to me.
- 13:28Speaker 8: You see there that the emphasis here really is on
- 13:31Speaker 8: the eternal and not all of us have the same
- 13:35Speaker 8: economic standing.
- 13:37Speaker 6: Not all of us have.
- 13:37Speaker 8: A physical debilitation like is listed here, but all of
- 13:42Speaker 8: us have this spiritual poverty that we need to come
- 13:46Speaker 8: to God with and realize that we have nothing to
- 13:49Speaker 8: offer him and that the Lord Jesus offers us all
- 13:52Speaker 8: the riches of God's grace, and that has to be
- 13:54Speaker 8: our eternal perspective as we go through this life.
- 13:57Speaker 3: Hmmm, well, I know that in the New York trist
- 14:00Speaker 3: State area where you and I reside, we know a
- 14:05Speaker 3: couple of things. We know one that we have plenty
- 14:09Speaker 3: of poor among us. We're never We're never short of
- 14:13Speaker 3: having people that need help and that we can in
- 14:17Speaker 3: fact impact. And at the same time, we also live
- 14:20Speaker 3: in a society that's so frenetic that I think anybody
- 14:24Speaker 3: that says, you know, I can take the time to
- 14:27Speaker 3: slow down and hear the gospel is is kind of
- 14:31Speaker 3: an aberration, if you will. Why is it significant, first
- 14:35Speaker 3: of all, that the Gospel is preached to the poor.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Why does Jesus emphasize that here?
- 14:41Speaker 8: Yeah, you know, in ancient days and again I'm reading
- 14:44Speaker 8: the same history books as anybody else, but the emphasis
- 14:47Speaker 8: was was on those.
- 14:49Speaker 6: Who who had a lot to offer.
- 14:51Speaker 8: I mean a really religious, impressive leader like a Pharisee
- 14:56Speaker 8: or Sadducey or you know, really well known religious person
- 15:00Speaker 8: maybe like even Saul of Tarsus was, or you had
- 15:02Speaker 8: to be one of these philosophers that like a Plato
- 15:06Speaker 8: or Aristotle. I mean, that's who the world lifted up
- 15:09Speaker 8: back then, the people that were impressive, the people that
- 15:12Speaker 8: were really somebody special. And for the Son of God
- 15:16Speaker 8: to be known for spending his time with the quote
- 15:19Speaker 8: unquote nobody's I mean that just shows the difference between
- 15:23Speaker 8: the Lord Jesus and maybe the things that we naturally
- 15:27Speaker 8: put the emphasis on number one and the number two.
- 15:31Speaker 8: Like you said, we're all impressed by the same thing.
- 15:34Speaker 8: I mean, we all when you read First Corinthians, we
- 15:37Speaker 8: all like bigger is better. We all think that, wow,
- 15:41Speaker 8: the mighty, the noble, the ones that have it. And
- 15:45Speaker 8: that goes against really where God has always put his emphasis.
- 15:50Speaker 8: The King of kings is being born in a manger.
- 15:54Speaker 8: The pillar and ground of the truth is not some
- 15:57Speaker 8: amazing temple in Ephesis. It's this little congregation that Timothy
- 16:05Speaker 8: is pastoring. God always has his eye on the little things,
- 16:09Speaker 8: and that's where he's putting his truth. And I think
- 16:11Speaker 8: that's where we've got to get back as a nation
- 16:13Speaker 8: here and realize it's not in all of this obsession
- 16:18Speaker 8: we have with how many followers am I having, or
- 16:21Speaker 8: how many things do I have? Or what's my influence?
- 16:24Speaker 8: It's about, hey, this is all going to be here temporarily.
- 16:27Speaker 8: Am I investing in eternal things?
- 16:29Speaker 3: That's a powerful thing, And obviously Jesus deals with in
- 16:36Speaker 3: another passage, he deals with a rich, young ruler who
- 16:38Speaker 3: comes to him and says, you know what must I
- 16:41Speaker 3: do to be saved? And he tells him and.
- 16:45Speaker 1: He can't do it.
- 16:46Speaker 3: He walks away and he shakes his head. But Joel,
- 16:50Speaker 3: does that mean that you cannot be wealthy in today's
- 16:55Speaker 3: culture and honor God in what he is emphasizing here?
- 16:59Speaker 6: You know, that's that's such a key question, Kevin.
- 17:01Speaker 8: And obviously when we read the Bible, we see people
- 17:05Speaker 8: of means. I mean, Abraham job Lydia is, you know,
- 17:11Speaker 8: selling purple. I mean that kind of indicates that she
- 17:14Speaker 8: probably has a client tele that is, you know, used
- 17:17Speaker 8: to some of the finer things in life. The Bible
- 17:20Speaker 8: warns us about the love of money and the deceitfulness
- 17:24Speaker 8: of riches, and you don't have to have a lot
- 17:27Speaker 8: of it to love it and to be deceived by it.
- 17:30Speaker 6: You know, that's not saying money. Money is not the
- 17:34Speaker 6: root of all evil.
- 17:34Speaker 8: I think you know, John Lennon kind of misquoted it there.
- 17:37Speaker 8: It's not that money is the root of all evil.
- 17:39Speaker 8: It's the love of money. And we've all got to
- 17:42Speaker 8: examine our hearts here and say, am I making an
- 17:45Speaker 8: idol of the things I have even.
- 17:47Speaker 6: If I don't have that much?
- 17:49Speaker 8: But you're right about the rich young ruler, because that's
- 17:52Speaker 8: the passage where the Lord brings up you know, the
- 17:55Speaker 8: the camel through the eye of the needle and all that.
- 17:58Speaker 8: I mean, there is danger in being so comfortable in
- 18:02Speaker 8: this life that we maybe think we don't really need
- 18:05Speaker 8: God well.
- 18:07Speaker 3: And I think the rich young ruler and maybe many
- 18:12Speaker 3: today struggle not so much with the wealth that they have,
- 18:19Speaker 3: but rather putting it under the lordship of the God
- 18:23Speaker 3: who helped them obtain it. And I think that that
- 18:28Speaker 3: is a that is certainly you know, when we talk
- 18:31Speaker 3: about the love of money, anything that comes sin is
- 18:35Speaker 3: basically the de godding of God. Right, So anything that
- 18:38Speaker 3: takes God's place in our heart, life, mind experience, that's
- 18:44Speaker 3: where sin comes from. And I think for those that
- 18:50Speaker 3: are wealthy, they've achieved great things, but they understand that
- 18:53Speaker 3: it is something that God has done for them, you generally,
- 18:57Speaker 3: and those people see a lot of generosity. You see
- 19:01Speaker 3: a lot of returning of that to the Lord's work,
- 19:04Speaker 3: to blessing people that don't have what they have. So
- 19:08Speaker 3: it is it is an interesting kind of dilemma for
- 19:10Speaker 3: those that are successful because look, I'm a dad.
- 19:14Speaker 1: I want my.
- 19:14Speaker 3: Kids to grow up and support their families well and
- 19:17Speaker 3: be able to do the best they can so that
- 19:21Speaker 3: they can in fact be kingdom shapers. But it's a
- 19:24Speaker 3: guarding against that we have to watch even more carefully.
- 19:27Speaker 8: Absolutely, And you know, even where we are here in
- 19:30Speaker 8: the Bronx, I mean we're in one of the poorest
- 19:33Speaker 8: zip codes in the nation.
- 19:34Speaker 6: I mean, the poverty level here is thirty percent.
- 19:38Speaker 8: And you think, boy, why are you majoring on this?
- 19:43Speaker 8: It's because it's a hard issue, right, And you know
- 19:47Speaker 8: it's easy for us to always look at the haves
- 19:50Speaker 8: or look at the neighbors who are doing better than us,
- 19:52Speaker 8: and think, boy, you know I don't have that problem.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Why don't I get that? Yeah, exactly, why don't.
- 19:58Speaker 6: I get that?
- 19:59Speaker 8: Well, you know, God uses God uses money to teach
- 20:02Speaker 8: us things, both the presence of it and the absence
- 20:04Speaker 8: of it, and and the tenth commandment, you know, thou
- 20:07Speaker 8: shalt not cove it. I mean that affects every one
- 20:11Speaker 8: of us has to answer for that one wherever we are,
- 20:14Speaker 8: and it's something that we need to continually go back
- 20:17Speaker 8: to the Lord with and keep that perspective so we
- 20:20Speaker 8: don't get you know, swept up in this world, which
- 20:24Speaker 8: you know is all about you know, he who dies
- 20:27Speaker 8: with the most toys wins right right, right.
- 20:29Speaker 3: Well, doctor Joe Grossi, we've just barely scratched the surface.
- 20:32Speaker 3: Commonwealth Baptist Church. The website is Commonwealth Bronxs dot org
- 20:36Speaker 3: if you want to know more. Looking forward to a
- 20:38Speaker 3: great week, very convicting week and hopefully God will do
- 20:42Speaker 3: something with it.
- 20:43Speaker 1: But thank you for spending some time with us.
- 20:45Speaker 6: Thanks Kevin, appreciate it.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Got it.
- 20:46Speaker 3: Kevin McCullough coming back from New York.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Don't go anywhere.
- 20:50Speaker 2: Let's stick around for more of that Kevin. Next here
- 21:12Speaker 2: he is from New York. That Kevin Kevin McCullough.
- 21:19Speaker 1: All right, welcome back.
- 21:20Speaker 3: It is that Kevin show, that kevinshow dot com.
- 21:23Speaker 1: And it is Monday.
- 21:25Speaker 3: So we take a look at the markets, and we
- 21:27Speaker 3: also take a look at your portfolio, and we try
- 21:29Speaker 3: to do what we can to help you leave a
- 21:33Speaker 3: legacy for those that God has put in your life
- 21:36Speaker 3: and to be good stewards of that which He has
- 21:39Speaker 3: blessed you with. And joining us once again is Lou Bassnice.
- 21:43Speaker 3: The Big Skinny dot Com is where you find him,
- 21:46Speaker 3: The Big Skinny dot com. And if you were watching
- 21:49Speaker 3: I don't know Fox News on Friday afternoon last week,
- 21:55Speaker 3: might have seen him there with the oh come on now,
- 21:59Speaker 3: I'm drawing blank. It was Sandra and John Roberts. That's it,
- 22:03Speaker 3: because you know what, John wasn't in DC, and it
- 22:06Speaker 3: fooled me like he was. He was in New York.
- 22:08Speaker 3: He's not normally in New York, so.
- 22:09Speaker 6: It was it was crazy. He's so he's so famous
- 22:12Speaker 6: you forgot about him.
- 22:13Speaker 3: Yeah, well, don't tell him that. Both both of which
- 22:16Speaker 3: are really good people. I love Sandra and John A
- 22:18Speaker 3: man lou the just before the holiday weekend and everybody
- 22:23Speaker 3: had been saying, chips, chips, chips, you know, the chip funds.
- 22:28Speaker 3: We were talking about all this and then like what happened?
- 22:31Speaker 3: It looked like they had a big sell off on
- 22:33Speaker 3: Thursday last week.
- 22:35Speaker 6: They did, And this is what I talked about.
- 22:36Speaker 9: I think last time or two weeks ago, we had
- 22:38Speaker 9: money Monday where they're just followed. All the prices of
- 22:41Speaker 9: these chip stocks swing a lot and there's a lot
- 22:43Speaker 9: of panic for no reason.
- 22:44Speaker 6: We saw it Thursday and Friday.
- 22:45Speaker 9: They were down about fifteen percent between the two days.
- 22:48Speaker 9: But it's not different this time. We actually went through
- 22:51Speaker 9: this at the beginning of June, in the beginning of May,
- 22:54Speaker 9: We've had it before in April. So this is a
- 22:57Speaker 9: very standard and albeit just a frustration to deal with
- 23:01Speaker 9: when you invest in chip stocks. But the price is
- 23:03Speaker 9: a swing, but it creates great opportunities for investors that
- 23:08Speaker 9: might not own any of these names to get involved
- 23:10Speaker 9: because you get a it's like going on sale, right,
- 23:13Speaker 9: So you looked at a product that you saw it
- 23:14Speaker 9: and then two days later it's fifteen percent off or
- 23:16Speaker 9: maybe twenty percent off. And Warren Buffett has this great
- 23:19Speaker 9: saying that Wall Street's the only place that when the
- 23:21Speaker 9: product goes on sale, people run out.
- 23:22Speaker 6: Of the store.
- 23:23Speaker 9: I like to do the opposite, right when it goes
- 23:26Speaker 9: on sale and you know you like it, you want to.
- 23:27Speaker 6: Buy more of it.
- 23:28Speaker 9: So that's I think the opportunity that presents us as
- 23:30Speaker 9: we start off a new week.
- 23:31Speaker 6: The chip sector we talked.
- 23:33Speaker 3: About in all fairness, they're back today a little bit.
- 23:36Speaker 3: I mean it's not like a huge recovery, but.
- 23:38Speaker 9: It is up some Yeah, And my favorite way to
- 23:41Speaker 9: play it is not try and pick the individual winners.
- 23:43Speaker 9: So don't try and predict the horse that's going to
- 23:44Speaker 9: win the Kentucky Derby. Just bet on the race happenings
- 23:47Speaker 9: and you do that with the etfso x X it's
- 23:50Speaker 9: the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index. This is not personal investment advice,
- 23:54Speaker 9: but definitely something to check out. It gives you ownership
- 23:56Speaker 9: of the entire basket of semiconductor stocks. And when these
- 24:00Speaker 9: pullbacks happen, these this ETF is typically up fifteen to
- 24:03Speaker 9: twenty percent within another, you know, thirty to sixty days.
- 24:06Speaker 9: So it's always as it served me well over time,
- 24:09Speaker 9: I'll put it that.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Yeah, that's very interesting, and it's gonna be one of
- 24:12Speaker 3: those things where I mean, and you said this the
- 24:14Speaker 3: last time you were with us, that sector you can
- 24:18Speaker 3: you can you can hold on to it for a
- 24:21Speaker 3: while because it's just done nothing but grow and the
- 24:24Speaker 3: demand for those high performance chips is not diminishing.
- 24:30Speaker 6: Exactly if you look.
- 24:31Speaker 9: It's funny if you look at the year over year sales,
- 24:35Speaker 9: like just units of chips that have been sold, there's
- 24:37Speaker 9: only been two times in history where that you had
- 24:40Speaker 9: a decline, and that's during the Great Financial Crisis and
- 24:42Speaker 9: during COVID. So even if chip stock prices move, chip
- 24:47Speaker 9: demand is just going up into the right because everything
- 24:49Speaker 9: we do and have and interact with as chips in
- 24:51Speaker 9: it nowadays, it's not just AI, it's everything.
- 24:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:55Speaker 3: Okay, So I'm driving to church on Sunday morning and
- 24:59Speaker 3: my sixty year old because it was just the two
- 25:02Speaker 3: of us, we had some people not feeling well that
- 25:04Speaker 3: stayed home. But my sixteen year old, actually this was
- 25:07Speaker 3: on the way home from church. He goes, Dad, is
- 25:09Speaker 3: Elon musk a trillionaire today? I said, I don't remember
- 25:14Speaker 3: where SpaceX ended, but if it's beyond a certain point,
- 25:16Speaker 3: then yes he is. Well, what's the latest with that?
- 25:19Speaker 1: Ibo?
- 25:20Speaker 9: I think today it's said one hundred and sixty two
- 25:23Speaker 9: dollars a year, so I think he is as long
- 25:25Speaker 9: as it broke. One fifty is a trillionaire to either
- 25:27Speaker 9: one fifty or one seventy. But he's close enough either way.
- 25:30Speaker 9: We'll get it round up and then round up and
- 25:33Speaker 9: he gets there.
- 25:33Speaker 3: Then my sixteen year old goes, well, you know he
- 25:35Speaker 3: can't just you know, barely straight by with the several
- 25:38Speaker 3: billions he has beyond that. I said, yes, I understand,
- 25:42Speaker 3: but you know, it's interesting because over the weekend a
- 25:44Speaker 3: lot of people took a potshot at him. Mayor Zoron
- 25:47Speaker 3: Mumdani implied that we needed to socialize everything in the
- 25:53Speaker 3: city of New York because a trillionaire was hungry for more.
- 25:58Speaker 3: And I know that Elon responded to him on social
- 26:01Speaker 3: media basically saying, you've never built anything. But Elon has
- 26:05Speaker 3: a point, Lou when he Elon Musk didn't sit in
- 26:09Speaker 3: a castle and just have some sort of like helicopter
- 26:12Speaker 3: dump a trillion dollars into an account, like, he built
- 26:16Speaker 3: companies that made things. And I was talking to my
- 26:19Speaker 3: son about it, and he goes, well, what's the secret.
- 26:21Speaker 3: I said, Well, what Elon did is he he figured
- 26:24Speaker 3: out how to do something that people were going to want,
- 26:28Speaker 3: and then he just got it out there and then
- 26:31Speaker 3: he began to refine. He didn't wait to get it
- 26:32Speaker 3: done perfectly. He got it out there and he started
- 26:35Speaker 3: refining it as it went. That's how Tesla came about.
- 26:37Speaker 3: And it looks like he's doing the same thing with SpaceX.
- 26:40Speaker 9: No he is, And I look, I was pre med
- 26:43Speaker 9: and took a lot of science classes in undergrad and
- 26:45Speaker 9: I can't remember whether it's the third or second law
- 26:48Speaker 9: of thermone dynamics where energy can neither be created nor destroyed.
- 26:51Speaker 9: And I bring it up because Mom, Donnie and his
- 26:54Speaker 9: like think the same applies to wealth, that if it's
- 26:56Speaker 9: if someone has it, they took it from someone else,
- 26:59Speaker 9: and that's just not the case. America is the only
- 27:01Speaker 9: country that has a history of you know, it's not
- 27:04Speaker 9: a zero sum game. You can come up with something new,
- 27:07Speaker 9: create a new venture, a new enterprise, a new product,
- 27:09Speaker 9: and you can make money off of it.
- 27:11Speaker 6: That is additive to society, not reductive.
- 27:14Speaker 9: It doesn't take it from someone else for you to
- 27:16Speaker 9: sell that product and make money from it.
- 27:18Speaker 6: And I think that.
- 27:19Speaker 9: Is the fatal flaw in this whole marketing plan for socialism.
- 27:23Speaker 6: I mean, that's really what it is. It doesn't hold.
- 27:25Speaker 6: I mean, it's.
- 27:26Speaker 9: They carry it with the mantle of affordability, but it's
- 27:29Speaker 9: really socialism and communism in the skies and it doesn't work. Unfortunately,
- 27:33Speaker 9: not many people follow the good old Reagan advice to
- 27:35Speaker 9: trust but verify. It feels like socialism should be good,
- 27:38Speaker 9: so people believe it it is, and unfortunately we may
- 27:41Speaker 9: have to face some of the consequences of that if
- 27:43Speaker 9: it gets adopted too often here in major cities across
- 27:46Speaker 9: the US.
- 27:47Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, hold on, we're gonna take a quick break.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Got some extra innings with the Loo today because I
- 27:51Speaker 3: want to talk about the ten AI plays that are
- 27:55Speaker 3: not named in videos.
- 27:56Speaker 1: Don't go anywhere.
- 28:12Speaker 10: Here.
- 28:12Speaker 2: He is from New York. That Kevin, Kevin McCullough.
- 28:19Speaker 5: Welcome back.
- 28:19Speaker 3: It's that Kevin Show. And if you pop over to
- 28:22Speaker 3: the Big Skinny dot com three odd words that sound
- 28:27Speaker 3: great together, the Big Skinny dot Com, you will be
- 28:31Speaker 3: introduced to the entire world that Lou Bassanie is curating
- 28:35Speaker 3: over there for you to just understand a little bit
- 28:38Speaker 3: more simply how to do investing. It's it's he tries
- 28:43Speaker 3: to make it simple for those of us like me,
- 28:46Speaker 3: the dumb guy that doesn't know very very well what
- 28:48Speaker 3: I'm doing, but I want to understand it better. It's
- 28:50Speaker 3: a great place to start, and he has a great
- 28:52Speaker 3: offer right now where when you click on the site,
- 28:56Speaker 3: you can actually just put your email in and he's
- 28:58Speaker 3: going to send you a report that I think has
- 29:00Speaker 3: a lot of value to it. It's ten plays on
- 29:03Speaker 3: the AI space that do not include the word in video,
- 29:08Speaker 3: which is the big, big, big five thousand pound elephant
- 29:11Speaker 3: in the room. Well, this is this. These are ten
- 29:14Speaker 3: other plays that you can make money with companies that
- 29:18Speaker 3: are supplying AI needs on some level, but they're not
- 29:22Speaker 3: named in video and lou. The idea behind this is
- 29:25Speaker 3: very simple. You just there's a lot of wealth to
- 29:29Speaker 3: spread in the AI space. There's a lot of development.
- 29:31Speaker 3: Every app on my phone. I mean I get annoyed
- 29:35Speaker 3: by it, you know, I click on Facebook. Would you
- 29:37Speaker 3: like us to compose an AI post for you? No,
- 29:40Speaker 3: please be quiet, leave me alone. But it is, it's
- 29:44Speaker 3: every app on my phone. And the truth is that
- 29:47Speaker 3: it's a huge industry and that we're going to be
- 29:50Speaker 3: able to excel at it, but maybe profit from it
- 29:53Speaker 3: and maybe help, you know, provide for our families from it.
- 29:55Speaker 1: That's a bigger bonus.
- 29:57Speaker 9: Yeah, exactly. And don't get too hard on yourself. You're
- 29:59Speaker 9: not the dumb guy. You're the busy guy. And that's
- 30:01Speaker 9: really what the big skinny is about. Is everyone's busy
- 30:04Speaker 9: in their own careers and life and doesn't necessarily unless
- 30:07Speaker 9: you come up in the investing world understand how to
- 30:09Speaker 9: decipher it and find the ideas and opportunities that can
- 30:12Speaker 9: make you and you gain wealth and increase it.
- 30:15Speaker 6: So that's what we've done with this report.
- 30:17Speaker 9: We think AI is going to be one of those
- 30:19Speaker 9: history defining growth trends. But it's not going to be
- 30:22Speaker 9: just contained to one or two stocks like the smartphone
- 30:25Speaker 9: wars where with Apple and Alphabet or Google.
- 30:28Speaker 6: It's going to spread out to a lot of names.
- 30:30Speaker 6: You mentioned it.
- 30:30Speaker 9: I mean, everywhere we turn, something's got AI attached to it.
- 30:33Speaker 9: So we put together a list of the top ten
- 30:35Speaker 9: AI stocks not named Nvidia at the Big Skinny dot Com.
- 30:39Speaker 6: It's not going to be just chip stocks like we
- 30:40Speaker 6: were talking about before.
- 30:41Speaker 9: It's going to be companies, for instance, that are helping
- 30:44Speaker 9: develop solutions that can discover new drugs that treat incurable diseases.
- 30:48Speaker 6: So that's just one of the examples of the names.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Now.
- 30:51Speaker 3: I think that blows people's minds too, because they're like,
- 30:53Speaker 3: wait a minute, I don't think of biotech or pharma
- 30:56Speaker 3: as being AI possible. But the truth is, like AI
- 31:01Speaker 3: touches everything.
- 31:02Speaker 9: It does and if you look, I mean Eli Lilly,
- 31:04Speaker 9: now probably the largest pharmaceutical company in the market, has
- 31:09Speaker 9: made multiple acquisitions and partnerships in the AI space to
- 31:12Speaker 9: help them develop drugs faster to get them tested so
- 31:15Speaker 9: that you don't have to do as much testing on humans,
- 31:18Speaker 9: you can have more effective testing.
- 31:20Speaker 6: So yeah, it's gonna. It's gonna infiltrate every way.
- 31:23Speaker 9: We do business in every sector and area, just like
- 31:26Speaker 9: I mean, I like to say, it's the same as.
- 31:27Speaker 6: When five G broadband access came, right.
- 31:30Speaker 9: It wasn't just a preserve for the telecoms, it was
- 31:33Speaker 9: every business benefit from it. And AI is going to
- 31:35Speaker 9: be the same accelerated accelerant for those industries. And so
- 31:38Speaker 9: we've phoned in on ten names that we think will
- 31:41Speaker 9: benefit very handsomely in the coming quarters and years, and
- 31:45Speaker 9: just as the watch list for you at least to
- 31:46Speaker 9: begin your research to take a look at some other
- 31:49Speaker 9: opportunities that are outside in video.
- 31:51Speaker 3: Okay, the way you get that list is you go
- 31:53Speaker 3: to the big skinny dot com, the big skinny dot
- 31:56Speaker 3: com and you just you just put your email in.
- 31:58Speaker 3: They're gonna they're gonna give you an opportunity to get
- 32:00Speaker 3: it as soon as you log onto that site.
- 32:02Speaker 6: Completely free spam you. We don't sell any products.
- 32:05Speaker 9: It's just a free research service to give you information
- 32:08Speaker 9: on the markets on how to decipher a lot of
- 32:11Speaker 9: the confusing headlines that come across.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Yeah, no, that's great stuff.
- 32:14Speaker 3: All right, final topic, the Fed and the President. You
- 32:18Speaker 3: were very hopeful, as was I last time we spoke
- 32:22Speaker 3: that the jobs report was going to be maybe better
- 32:24Speaker 3: than anticipated and ended up being a few shades not
- 32:28Speaker 3: as good.
- 32:28Speaker 1: Yeah, so what's going on?
- 32:30Speaker 9: Yeah, we hit a whammy. I can't remember what that
- 32:32Speaker 9: game FOW was doing. They said, no whammy's no whammy.
- 32:34Speaker 6: Stop.
- 32:34Speaker 9: That just keeps the FED on hold right now. So
- 32:36Speaker 9: it's the status quo remains the same. Mortgage rates are
- 32:39Speaker 9: going to stay where they are, credit card rates for
- 32:42Speaker 9: a little bit longer until we make sure that inflation
- 32:44Speaker 9: from the war and Iran isn't making it harder for
- 32:47Speaker 9: people to get by, and.
- 32:49Speaker 6: That the labor market's okay.
- 32:50Speaker 9: So again, I think there's a very public battle between
- 32:53Speaker 9: the president and the new FED chair, Kevin Wassh. I think, rightfully,
- 32:57Speaker 9: the FED chair wants to be credible above all that
- 33:00Speaker 9: he's not concerned about does the President want to cut
- 33:03Speaker 9: and no hikes. He's going to be data dependent, which
- 33:06Speaker 9: means he's going to do the right thing for everyday Americans.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Right so, based upon the.
- 33:09Speaker 3: Data, assuming that what you say is true, that he
- 33:11Speaker 3: wants to have high integrity. I also don't think the
- 33:14Speaker 3: president wants to hurt the country So what is the
- 33:17Speaker 3: president asking for and why is he asking for it?
- 33:21Speaker 9: Yeah, I know, I agree with you one hundred percent.
- 33:22Speaker 9: The President is doing everything you can to make everyday
- 33:25Speaker 9: life better for every American and he just knows that
- 33:27Speaker 9: when you lower interest rates, it spurs economic growth, it
- 33:31Speaker 9: provides more opportunity. But you just don't want to do
- 33:32Speaker 9: it at the wrong time. So I think it's not
- 33:34Speaker 9: a cut good or bad. It's a good as long
- 33:37Speaker 9: as it's done at the right time. And I think
- 33:39Speaker 9: that's what the President's advocating. He thinks it's the right
- 33:41Speaker 9: time or near the right time, and it's a good,
- 33:43Speaker 9: good argument.
- 33:44Speaker 6: For everyday Americans.
- 33:45Speaker 1: Right.
- 33:45Speaker 9: But Kevin Walsh is in that position and job to
- 33:48Speaker 9: decide how do you convert the president's wishes into what's
- 33:51Speaker 9: right at the right time.
- 33:52Speaker 3: Well, and the truth is he's not supposed to convey
- 33:55Speaker 3: the president's wishes.
- 33:56Speaker 1: I mean that's so he's not.
- 33:59Speaker 3: So let me shorthand this with the lower jobs number,
- 34:02Speaker 3: how does that impact quarter three? And looking at year end, like,
- 34:06Speaker 3: what are we thinking now going into this next You know,
- 34:09Speaker 3: ninety days.
- 34:10Speaker 9: Of productivity, great, it's one data point, doesn't change anything, right,
- 34:15Speaker 9: So we had three really strong months, followed by a
- 34:17Speaker 9: fourth month that was okay, you just got to watch
- 34:19Speaker 9: and see what the labor market, what.
- 34:20Speaker 6: The jobs numbers are in the coming months.
- 34:22Speaker 9: We've got four more FED meetings this year. The economic
- 34:26Speaker 9: growth has been rebounding so Q three, third quarter and
- 34:30Speaker 9: fourth quarter expectations are strong.
- 34:32Speaker 6: So I think that's good news. I think I said
- 34:34Speaker 6: it on Friday that the.
- 34:36Speaker 9: You know, the economy sets the mood for America, and
- 34:38Speaker 9: the good news is the mood's improving.
- 34:41Speaker 6: And I think that's the takeaway for the rest of
- 34:42Speaker 6: the year.
- 34:43Speaker 3: Well, I you know, I'm a resident in the Northeast
- 34:46Speaker 3: and I saw gasoline not far from my home in
- 34:51Speaker 3: the hovering above three dollars range. I think that's a
- 34:55Speaker 3: huge improvement from where we were just a few weeks ago.
- 34:58Speaker 9: Yeah, I agree with you, and it's going to keep
- 34:59Speaker 9: getting back from there.
- 35:00Speaker 6: Oil prices have come down.
- 35:02Speaker 9: It usually takes gasoline about thirty to forty.
- 35:04Speaker 6: Business days to reflect the lower prices completely.
- 35:07Speaker 9: And you know, sadly, we'll never get to the days
- 35:09Speaker 9: when I first got my license and gases like seventy
- 35:11Speaker 9: nine cents account, but I think we'll get pretty darn
- 35:15Speaker 9: close to that three dollars.
- 35:17Speaker 1: You're showing your youth, young man.
- 35:19Speaker 3: I remember coming out of the Carter years when Reagan
- 35:22Speaker 3: got it down to a quarter, but it was a
- 35:26Speaker 3: different day, different time for sure.
- 35:28Speaker 1: All right.
- 35:28Speaker 3: Lou Bassine the Big Skinny. You can get his podcast,
- 35:31Speaker 3: it's on that website. But you can also get the
- 35:33Speaker 3: free report ten ai plays that are not named in
- 35:38Speaker 3: video and it's totally free and I think it'll it'll
- 35:40Speaker 3: benefit you to take a look at it dbig Skinny
- 35:44Speaker 3: dot com. Lou Bassinese, appreciate you.
- 35:46Speaker 6: Appreciate you too. Thanks for having me.
- 35:48Speaker 1: I got it.
- 35:48Speaker 3: Kevin McCollough coming right back. Don't go anywhere, stick around
- 35:52Speaker 3: for more of that Kevin.
- 35:54Speaker 10: Next serving it up with a no drink minim.
- 36:10Speaker 2: It's that Cabinet show.
- 36:13Speaker 1: All right.
- 36:13Speaker 3: Welcome back as we are rounding out our number one
- 36:16Speaker 3: here on the Big That Kevin Show for this Monday.
- 36:20Speaker 3: I did feel some rather deep embarrassment over the weekend
- 36:26Speaker 3: as Mayor Zoron Mamdani embarrassed the city of New York
- 36:31Speaker 3: on the national stage. He said some things that were
- 36:35Speaker 3: just not only untrue, but just deeply deeply wrong in
- 36:39Speaker 3: terms of how we should be thinking about the future
- 36:44Speaker 3: and about our country, he said in his speech, as
- 36:47Speaker 3: we mark two hundred and fifty years, what do we see.
- 36:49Speaker 3: We see a city of contradictions, within a nation of contradictions.
- 36:52Speaker 3: We see the wealthiest country in the history of the world,
- 36:55Speaker 3: one where children go to sleep hungry while the world's
- 36:58Speaker 3: first trillionaire hungers for more. First of all, if you
- 37:01Speaker 3: take the children of America, and you take the entire population,
- 37:04Speaker 3: the poorish child in America through to the richest child,
- 37:07Speaker 3: and you put them all in one room, and you
- 37:11Speaker 3: take the children's population of just about any other country
- 37:15Speaker 3: on the planet, but especially large countries China, India, Russia,
- 37:21Speaker 3: you are going to find that the average American child has, inherently,
- 37:27Speaker 3: just by being in America, ten to twenty times the
- 37:31Speaker 3: wealth of any of the children there. And I mean
- 37:34Speaker 3: that in foodstocks, in food supplies, and the access to food.
- 37:38Speaker 3: We make a big deal in this country about how
- 37:43Speaker 3: there are some people that have more than others in
- 37:46Speaker 3: this country. And there may be a discussion that's necessary
- 37:49Speaker 3: about how to help everyone achieve more from where they're at.
- 37:54Speaker 3: And I'm all in favor of that, but I do
- 37:58Speaker 3: not accept the condition that children go to sleep hungry
- 38:01Speaker 3: in the US. And when he says the first trillionaire
- 38:06Speaker 3: hungers for more friends, we should not see that as
- 38:11Speaker 3: a bad thing. The reason that Elon Musk has come
- 38:16Speaker 3: to the status of being a trillionaire is because he's
- 38:20Speaker 3: employed thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of people that
- 38:26Speaker 3: have worked in industries that he created that have made
- 38:30Speaker 3: the world a better place. He was one of the
- 38:35Speaker 3: founders I believe it was with eBay if it wasn't,
- 38:39Speaker 3: and there was another Internet property of some renown that
- 38:42Speaker 3: he was part of, but he was. I think it
- 38:44Speaker 3: was eBay that he was a part of.
- 38:45Speaker 1: And then he.
- 38:46Speaker 3: Created Tesla, which was the world's kind of first mass
- 38:49Speaker 3: produced electric car, and he just beat everybody else to
- 38:52Speaker 3: the punch. And as he did, people saw some of
- 38:57Speaker 3: the things that didn't work so well, and he began
- 38:59Speaker 3: began to work making it better. And he's tried as
- 39:02Speaker 3: time has gone by to improve those products, and I
- 39:05Speaker 3: think that they are And now he's going into space,
- 39:08Speaker 3: which if you know anything about NASA and the space
- 39:10Speaker 3: program that we conducted here through our government, we found
- 39:15Speaker 3: so much modern technology through what we had to do
- 39:18Speaker 3: in space that it literally changed every We have a
- 39:22Speaker 3: cell phone today because we sent people to space. We
- 39:25Speaker 3: have all kinds of advantages in our lives now because
- 39:30Speaker 3: we sent people to space. Elon Musk's never gone to space.
- 39:33Speaker 3: He may never go to space. I don't know if
- 39:34Speaker 3: he's going to go to space or not. But the
- 39:36Speaker 3: fact that he has, for instance, just one thing, a
- 39:40Speaker 3: rocket that can redock at its own docking station. NASA
- 39:44Speaker 3: couldn't come up with that. The best we could do
- 39:46Speaker 3: is the Space Shuttle and hope and pray that it
- 39:48Speaker 3: comes down and has enough you know, floating space to
- 39:51Speaker 3: get to the runway and do the touchdown. But it
- 39:55Speaker 3: couldn't even then fly itself back across the country. He
- 39:57Speaker 3: had to peggyback on the back of another plane and
- 39:59Speaker 3: all the rest. Friends, we should not look at someone
- 40:05Speaker 3: like Elon and go, oh, he's evil, because he didn't
- 40:08Speaker 3: sit in a castle and have a bunch of money
- 40:11Speaker 3: dropped on him. He went out and created jobs that
- 40:16Speaker 3: created industries, that created technologies that are that we are
- 40:21Speaker 3: now benefiting from. Every person listening to me probably has
- 40:24Speaker 3: a little bit of Tesla in their four oh one
- 40:26Speaker 3: k or I ra. Everyone listening to me may have
- 40:29Speaker 3: some SpaceX in their retirement. Now it's we We owe
- 40:33Speaker 3: a lot to his ingenuity and his innovation, and I
- 40:37Speaker 3: just think it's the wrong look for Mayors Mandani to be.
- 40:42Speaker 1: Slandering that. It's just untruthful.
- 40:44Speaker 3: Kevin mccallu our two on the Way.
- 40:50Speaker 1: The following program is pre recorded.
- 40:57Speaker 3: Somewhere in the bowels.
- 40:58Speaker 1: Of the City that Never Sleep.
- 41:00Speaker 3: Kevin McCullough, radio host with Salor medium.
- 41:03Speaker 4: Is a man also not sleeping mccallor and that guy
- 41:08Speaker 4: would like a word with you.
- 41:10Speaker 3: Many of you know him from a Snooks for Damas.
- 41:13Speaker 5: Of course, that Kevin Show is going to be great.
- 41:15Speaker 5: The only thing that could be greater, of course, would
- 41:16Speaker 5: be that Donald Show.
- 41:17Speaker 1: We don't have that.
- 41:18Speaker 6: So we have That Kevin.
- 41:19Speaker 7: Show, featuring the music of Dick Tunney and the Dream
- 41:24Speaker 7: in Color Orchestra, straight ahead, everything you need to know
- 41:37Speaker 7: about the top headlines of the day, and a perspective
- 41:41Speaker 7: that will give you some eternity to it, plus practical
- 41:44Speaker 7: tips for family life, spiritual life, and good old regular life.
- 41:51Speaker 7: It's Kevin McCullough Monday through Friday on That Kevin Show
- 42:01Speaker 7: and Now from the Connors and Sullivan Broadcast Studios. The
- 42:06Speaker 7: Man who is not what he wants to be, but
- 42:09Speaker 7: is way grateful that is not who he used to
- 42:12Speaker 7: be here.
- 42:17Speaker 3: So glad you're with us. Welcome in our number two,
- 42:21Speaker 3: Kevin McCullough. Glad to have you here, Glad to be
- 42:24Speaker 3: part of your life on a regular basis. Thank you
- 42:27Speaker 3: to those four hundred stations affiliates that have us on
- 42:31Speaker 3: on a daily basis in your life. And whether you
- 42:34Speaker 3: are hearing me live as we do the show on
- 42:37Speaker 3: this Monday, or whether you're catching me on a podcast
- 42:40Speaker 3: or best of or something else, I'm just grateful that
- 42:43Speaker 3: you're here, because what we're trying to do is give
- 42:46Speaker 3: you information and help your life take on greater clarity
- 42:50Speaker 3: so that we can do what is necessary to help
- 42:52Speaker 3: you succeed.
- 42:54Speaker 1: I want to talk about.
- 42:55Speaker 3: Something in the aftermath of two point fifty that I've
- 42:58Speaker 3: been thinking about a lot.
- 43:01Speaker 1: This weekend was.
- 43:01Speaker 3: One of those moments I will never forget. On Saturday,
- 43:04Speaker 3: I had the privilege of joining the broadcast aboard the
- 43:07Speaker 3: USS Intrepid as some classic warplanes took to the skies
- 43:12Speaker 3: and then followed and preceded by some of the most
- 43:14Speaker 3: lethal fighting aircraft ever built that we use now and
- 43:18Speaker 3: the entire spectacle just spoke to me very deeply. I
- 43:21Speaker 3: mean our ability as humans to design the FA eighteen,
- 43:26Speaker 3: the F twenty two, the F thirty five and launched
- 43:29Speaker 3: them from sea and land and watch them perform with
- 43:32Speaker 3: breakthataking precision is just one of those chief reasons evil
- 43:36Speaker 3: tyrants around the globe think twice before testing us. The
- 43:40Speaker 3: fact that we use such innovation and overwhelming power in
- 43:43Speaker 3: the defense of freedom and not for conquest. Think about
- 43:46Speaker 3: this is a testament to both American military strength and
- 43:50Speaker 3: our restraint. We're the strongest country on the planet, but
- 43:54Speaker 3: we're the most restrained. But it also made me ask
- 43:58Speaker 3: a different question, how do we stay ahead of the
- 44:02Speaker 3: rest of the developed world, and how do we preserve
- 44:05Speaker 3: that freedom not just for today, but how do we
- 44:08Speaker 3: keep that freedom preserve for the next fifty or one
- 44:10Speaker 3: hundred or two hundred and fifty years. Well, I believe
- 44:13Speaker 3: a significant part of the current administration's strategy answers that
- 44:18Speaker 3: question with two words, energy dominance, not energy independence. Not
- 44:25Speaker 3: saying hey, we can operate free from.
- 44:27Speaker 1: The rest of the world.
- 44:28Speaker 3: We've had that ability for a long time, but energy dominance,
- 44:31Speaker 3: Now there's a difference. Independence means meeting your own needs.
- 44:35Speaker 3: Dominance means having so much energy that you shape the
- 44:38Speaker 3: future for a lot of other countries, and President Trump
- 44:41Speaker 3: has understood that energy has become the world's most valuable currency.
- 44:47Speaker 3: This weekend, the Marxist mayor of New York was telling
- 44:50Speaker 3: residents to keep their thermostats at seventy eight degrees because
- 44:54Speaker 3: supposedly it was the only way to protect the electrical grid. Meanwhile,
- 44:58Speaker 3: his own air conditioning remained comfortably paid for, and his
- 45:01Speaker 3: wife got on a private jet and headed off to Spain.
- 45:05Speaker 3: The message was simple enough. You sacrifice will manage you.
- 45:09Speaker 3: At nearly the same time, critics mocked the Great American
- 45:12Speaker 3: State Fair for temporarily closing portions of the grounds during
- 45:15Speaker 3: the hottest part of the day out of concerns for visitors' health. Yeah,
- 45:19Speaker 3: they mocked the people for being careful.
- 45:21Speaker 1: That's terrible.
- 45:22Speaker 3: Whether you're talking about public safety, quality of life, economic growth.
- 45:26Speaker 3: One truth keeps surfacing. Energy matters more, I would say,
- 45:32Speaker 3: in the fiscal sense than almost anything else. America possesses
- 45:37Speaker 3: more energy resources than almost any nation on Earth right now.
- 45:40Speaker 3: I don't know if people know that, and that's one
- 45:42Speaker 3: of the reasons we've become who we are. We have
- 45:45Speaker 3: consistently looked beyond today's needs and invested in tomorrow's opportunities.
- 45:51Speaker 3: That's good stewardship, by the way, That's how we should
- 45:54Speaker 3: manage our finances. That's how we should manage our families.
- 45:57Speaker 3: That's how we should manage our country. A few days ago,
- 45:59Speaker 3: my son asked me how Elon Musk became the world's
- 46:01Speaker 3: first trillionaire. I thought about it for a minute before answering,
- 46:05Speaker 3: and then I said, because he saw what people would
- 46:07Speaker 3: need before they knew they needed it, and then he
- 46:08Speaker 3: built it first, and he kept making it better. Look
- 46:12Speaker 3: at the first generation of Tesla's and compare them to
- 46:14Speaker 3: today's models. The progress is remarkable. Watch SpaceX recover and
- 46:20Speaker 3: reland its own rockets, and you realize the company isn't
- 46:23Speaker 3: merely competing with everyone else. It's forcing everyone else to
- 46:26Speaker 3: catch up. And that's what vision looks like. And that's
- 46:28Speaker 3: what brings me back to energy. What solves America's long
- 46:33Speaker 3: term energy challenge, What powers artificial intelligence, manufacturing, transportation, and
- 46:39Speaker 3: the economy for generations instead of just election cycles. I
- 46:45Speaker 3: believe nuclear power deserves to be at the center of
- 46:47Speaker 3: that conversation. For decades, the conversation surrounding nuclear has been
- 46:52Speaker 3: dominated by fear rather than facts. Yet modern small modular
- 46:57Speaker 3: reactors bear little resemblance to what most Americans imagine. They
- 47:02Speaker 3: promise steady, reliable electricity with a remarkably small footprint while
- 47:07Speaker 3: operating around the clock regardless of weather conditions. If the
- 47:11Speaker 3: technology continues to develop as expected, a relatively small number
- 47:16Speaker 3: of reactors could provide dependable electricity to major metropolitan areas.
- 47:20Speaker 3: Let me give you some Let me give you some statistics.
- 47:23Speaker 3: If one modular reactor can power a village or a
- 47:28Speaker 3: town or a city of three hundred thousand families for
- 47:32Speaker 3: nine for ninety one years in its low power mode,
- 47:38Speaker 3: think about that ninety years can supply everything that that
- 47:41Speaker 3: town needs for the next ninety one years in low
- 47:44Speaker 3: power mode. And there's a company that makes that kind
- 47:47Speaker 3: of reactor right now. They're called Eagle Nuclear. But if
- 47:50Speaker 3: that is in fact in existence, and it is, then
- 47:54Speaker 3: it would only require about twelve hundred of those reactors
- 47:57Speaker 3: to power something as big as New York City, assuming
- 48:01Speaker 3: assuming that fossil fuels continue to serve transportation and backup
- 48:04Speaker 3: generation for years to come, Expanding nuclear capacity would allow
- 48:09Speaker 3: America to preserve more of those resources while dramatically lowering
- 48:12Speaker 3: the cost of electricity. Who could use lower electricity bills?
- 48:16Speaker 3: Have you seen what you're paying this year? Checked your
- 48:18Speaker 3: electric bill during this hot as haites summer? Exactly The
- 48:23Speaker 3: minerals required to build the next generation of reactors from
- 48:26Speaker 3: rare earth elements to uranium also explain why America's competition
- 48:30Speaker 3: with China goes well beyond tariffs and trade. Whoever controls
- 48:34Speaker 3: the supply chains beyond tomorrow's energy technologies will possess enormous
- 48:39Speaker 3: strategic leverage. Now America is blessed. We've got substantial uranium reserves,
- 48:43Speaker 3: and American companies already are working to develop the next
- 48:47Speaker 3: generation of small, modular reactors. And as we celebrate America's
- 48:52Speaker 3: two hundred and fiftieth birthday, we stand on the edge
- 48:54Speaker 3: of the next great chapter in our history. Every generation
- 48:58Speaker 3: of Americans has been asked to imagine a future no
- 49:01Speaker 3: one else could yet see, and then build it anyway.
- 49:03Speaker 3: And I believe this generation has been handed that same assignment.
- 49:07Speaker 3: So let's look at this cleaner, more abundant, more reliable,
- 49:13Speaker 3: more affordable nuclear energy may well become the next great
- 49:17Speaker 3: American frontier. And I pray that America never loses the
- 49:20Speaker 3: ability to see tomorrow before tomorrow arrives, because that's always
- 49:25Speaker 3: been our greatest strength. And I think if we if
- 49:30Speaker 3: we forget that, if we stop looking at the horizon,
- 49:34Speaker 3: if we stop going where it's necessary to go before
- 49:38Speaker 3: everybody else is there, then we'll start to slip as
- 49:42Speaker 3: a country. But this is in a fiscal sense, the
- 49:45Speaker 3: pursuit of nuclear power, safe nuclear power, dependable nuclear power.
- 49:50Speaker 3: And I was at a presentation by EGO Nuclear a
- 49:54Speaker 3: few months ago. They have the largest uranium supply known
- 50:00Speaker 3: to man right now here in the US. It's on
- 50:03Speaker 3: it's they own it. Why can't we go nuclear from
- 50:09Speaker 3: sea to shining Sea. I think it's something we need
- 50:13Speaker 3: to start talking about. I think it's something that we
- 50:15Speaker 3: have to start considering because I think that at the
- 50:18Speaker 3: end of the day, we're gonna need We're gonna need it.
- 50:21Speaker 1: I mean, we talk.
- 50:22Speaker 3: About AI and power centers and all this stuff, we
- 50:25Speaker 3: haven't begun to really understand the amount of energy that's
- 50:28Speaker 3: going to be necessary. And I think nuclear is going
- 50:32Speaker 3: to play a huge role.
- 50:32Speaker 1: I could be wrong.
- 50:33Speaker 3: Feel free to send me an email that Kevin Show
- 50:36Speaker 3: at gmail dot com, That Kevin Show at gmail dot com.
- 50:39Speaker 1: But just some thoughts on that today.
- 50:41Speaker 3: Kevin mckellach coming right back, very special conversation with Ryan
- 50:45Speaker 3: batesl coming out nextage.
- 51:02Speaker 2: Here he is from New York. Exact Kevin McCullough.
- 51:09Speaker 3: All right, Kevin mchella, welcome back. It's the Monday edition
- 51:12Speaker 3: that Kevin Show, that Kevinshow dot com for everything related.
- 51:15Speaker 1: We never put it behind a paywall.
- 51:17Speaker 3: We always want you to have access to it, especially
- 51:19Speaker 3: when the eternal truths are involved. When it's something that
- 51:24Speaker 3: is as important as eternity and the relationship that you
- 51:28Speaker 3: have with the creator, if you don't believe in him,
- 51:32Speaker 3: we want you to have access to that. And that's
- 51:34Speaker 3: why we have a commitment to keep that kevinshow dot
- 51:37Speaker 3: com paywall free and continue to hope that you will
- 51:42Speaker 3: continue to use it. More and more of you are,
- 51:43Speaker 3: by the way, each month for the last three you've
- 51:46Speaker 3: almost doubled the record number of people that have gone
- 51:49Speaker 3: there every single month, and we're just grateful. We just
- 51:52Speaker 3: want it to be useful and that's what we're praying
- 51:54Speaker 3: it will.
- 51:55Speaker 1: Be to you.
- 51:57Speaker 3: My next guest is someone who's been with us several
- 51:59Speaker 3: times tis with the series How Do We Live? We've
- 52:02Speaker 3: looked at various passages on different things. But I got
- 52:06Speaker 3: wind of a series that he has just concluded in
- 52:10Speaker 3: the Book of Judges, and Ryan, I happened to be
- 52:13Speaker 3: in attendance with Emergence Church in New Jersey yesterday heard
- 52:18Speaker 3: the concluding message in the series on Judges, and I
- 52:24Speaker 3: just said, there's too much here that applies to what
- 52:27Speaker 3: we're dealing with in life today, and we've got to
- 52:30Speaker 3: talk about it. So Ryan batesl, Senior lead pastor at
- 52:33Speaker 3: Emergence Church in New Jersey, welcome back to that Kevin show.
- 52:36Speaker 11: Hey, Kevin, great to be with you.
- 52:39Speaker 3: I always seem to learn really good insights from listening
- 52:44Speaker 3: to your teaching, and I'm grateful that you do things
- 52:48Speaker 3: like take on the very difficult book of the Book
- 52:51Speaker 3: of Judges. Now I want everyone listening. When's the last day.
- 52:55Speaker 3: If you don't go to church very often, you may
- 52:56Speaker 3: have never heard a message from the Book of Judges.
- 52:59Speaker 3: But even those of you that go to church on
- 53:02Speaker 3: a regular basis, Ryan, this is not something that a
- 53:05Speaker 3: lot of pastors are digging through saying, Hey, this is
- 53:08Speaker 3: going to help build happy marriages and keep people from
- 53:12Speaker 3: you know, the doldrums of life this sort of thing.
- 53:15Speaker 3: Judges is a unique book.
- 53:16Speaker 11: Yeah, it's tough, and it's dark, and the conclusion, what
- 53:20Speaker 11: we talked about yesterday church is probably the most dark part, right,
- 53:24Speaker 11: I mean, it's a brutal book.
- 53:26Speaker 3: Well, when you think about the kind of condition of mankind,
- 53:32Speaker 3: we live in a dark world. I talk about at
- 53:34Speaker 3: this microphone, things like slavery that still exists in like
- 53:39Speaker 3: Sudan and Northern Sudan. We talk about sex trafficking, we
- 53:42Speaker 3: talk about gang violence, we talk about you know, sometimes
- 53:46Speaker 3: religious violence in other parts of the country. I mean,
- 53:49Speaker 3: I don't feel like we've outgrown some of the things
- 53:52Speaker 3: that they do in Judges. If anything, we've just gotten
- 53:54Speaker 3: more sophisticated with them.
- 53:56Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 53:56Speaker 11: I think that's exactly right.
- 53:58Speaker 1: You know.
- 53:58Speaker 11: I think a lot of people say that the Bible
- 54:01Speaker 11: doesn't just describe what happens, it describes what always happens.
- 54:05Speaker 6: You know.
- 54:06Speaker 11: I had a lady come up to me yesterday and
- 54:08Speaker 11: she said, you know, just disturbed by how some of
- 54:11Speaker 11: these themes continue. And I just said, well, Satan's not
- 54:14Speaker 11: a creator. He tends to take people out the same way,
- 54:18Speaker 11: and it is disturbing.
- 54:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 54:21Speaker 3: First of all, the context of Judges, what is happening
- 54:25Speaker 3: when this book gets written, and why did you know,
- 54:29Speaker 3: God feel it was important that we have the accounts
- 54:32Speaker 3: of what arguably looks like a dissension into madness.
- 54:36Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 54:36Speaker 11: Yeah, I think there's two massive things that that result
- 54:40Speaker 11: in the in the culture just falling apart, because that's
- 54:43Speaker 11: really what happens at the end. The first is they
- 54:46Speaker 11: come out from the generation of Joshua, which is this
- 54:49Speaker 11: incredible generation. But then early in the Book of Judges,
- 54:53Speaker 11: we see for some reason this generation that walks so
- 54:57Speaker 11: powerfully with the Lord and Joshua, the truth get passed
- 55:00Speaker 11: on to the next generation. And it's wild to me
- 55:03Speaker 11: because it goes from the best generation to the worst
- 55:07Speaker 11: generation in only one generation, one generation of believers who
- 55:12Speaker 11: don't pass on the truth. And so there's one big
- 55:15Speaker 11: pillar of why it gets so bad. The second big
- 55:19Speaker 11: pillar is just this refrain we see throughout the book
- 55:22Speaker 11: that in those days there was no king in Israel,
- 55:25Speaker 11: and so here's the phrase, so everyone did what was
- 55:28Speaker 11: right in his own eyes. Ouch, yeah, meaning imagine the
- 55:31Speaker 11: culture Kevin, where everyone's just true to themselves or follows
- 55:34Speaker 11: their heart.
- 55:35Speaker 6: You know.
- 55:36Speaker 1: Ouch.
- 55:37Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, it wasn't one generation, but we just
- 55:39Speaker 3: celebrated to fifty. And I'm thinking because the like last
- 55:44Speaker 3: six months going into two fifty, I was watching all
- 55:46Speaker 3: kinds of historical biographies and documentaries of historical leaders, and
- 55:51Speaker 3: you know, it's it's something that I think some people
- 55:55Speaker 3: misrepresent and then they over represent, and sometimes people underrepresent
- 56:00Speaker 3: it and just ignore it. But there were a large
- 56:02Speaker 3: number of our founders who actually believed in the God
- 56:06Speaker 3: of the Bible, actually believed in divine providence, actually believed
- 56:10Speaker 3: that God wanted them to establish a country that was
- 56:14Speaker 3: different than anywhere else. And even though we wrestled with
- 56:19Speaker 3: an original sin of slavery for far too many generations,
- 56:22Speaker 3: God even allowed James Madison to put into the constitution
- 56:26Speaker 3: this kind of tool by which we could correct that,
- 56:29Speaker 3: and we eventually did so. Like, it wasn't one generation
- 56:36Speaker 3: from seventeen seventy six to twenty twenty six, but it
- 56:39Speaker 3: certainly feels like the phrase did what was right in
- 56:44Speaker 3: their own eyes could apply massively to the American culture today.
- 56:49Speaker 11: Oh yeah, and like we said throughout human history, right,
- 56:52Speaker 11: Like I was just reading this morning about both Spurgeon
- 56:58Speaker 11: and Karl Marx were a lot and at the peak
- 57:01Speaker 11: of their thought and influence in England at the same point.
- 57:05Speaker 11: And this author was talking about how the biblical thought
- 57:10Speaker 11: of Spurgeon is probably what held the line in England
- 57:15Speaker 11: to not follow Karl Marx, and that his movement hated Spurgeon.
- 57:21Speaker 6: And here's a guy.
- 57:22Speaker 11: We don't think of Spurgeon as political, but he just
- 57:25Speaker 11: taught the Bible and taught individual responsibility and individual salvation.
- 57:30Speaker 11: And they're like, man, that that protected England.
- 57:34Speaker 3: You know, well, you mentioned the fact that they did
- 57:38Speaker 3: this in one basically one generation, So you're talking about
- 57:42Speaker 3: a period of what thirty to forty maybe fifty years
- 57:45Speaker 3: that the nation of Israel went from being super blessed
- 57:48Speaker 3: to utter chaos.
- 57:51Speaker 11: The beginning, right, and then it's spirals and spirals over
- 57:55Speaker 11: a number of decades, worse and worse. But it took
- 57:58Speaker 11: one generation to stop being faithful, and that it just
- 58:04Speaker 11: to stop, you know, to not compromise, to trust the Lord,
- 58:07Speaker 11: to cling to the simple truth.
- 58:11Speaker 2: You know.
- 58:11Speaker 11: One of the things that I think is as Christians,
- 58:14Speaker 11: we want to advocate for the best leaders and the
- 58:17Speaker 11: best policies because they help the gospel. But sometimes I
- 58:22Speaker 11: think we make the mistake of thinking that's what we
- 58:26Speaker 11: need for the gospel. No, the gospel is the power
- 58:28Speaker 11: of the culture.
- 58:29Speaker 3: Yes, I want to come back to that in a second,
- 58:31Speaker 3: but I want to say I want to ask very clearly,
- 58:35Speaker 3: because that's a tremendous point that you brought out yesterday,
- 58:37Speaker 3: that you were just making. But I want to get
- 58:39Speaker 3: to yesterday's message in particular.
- 58:41Speaker 1: In just a moment.
- 58:42Speaker 3: But what I want to ask is, is Judges in
- 58:45Speaker 3: all of this Because we see Samson, we see some
- 58:48Speaker 3: characters that we might have heard about and know about.
- 58:51Speaker 3: But is this a message to non believers? Or was
- 58:55Speaker 3: this Where are these messages to people that are supposedly
- 58:59Speaker 3: followers of God?
- 59:02Speaker 11: I think, I mean, obviously right, we can always have
- 59:06Speaker 11: hope for non believers. But when I read Judges, I
- 59:08Speaker 11: think Judges serves as the clear warning for the believer
- 59:15Speaker 11: who's tempted to compromise, who's tempted to, I don't know,
- 59:21Speaker 11: not do the hard work of discipling our kids and
- 59:24Speaker 11: passing all the truths. Who's tempted to think it's someone
- 59:28Speaker 11: else's job in their generation. And it just shows how
- 59:33Speaker 11: quickly things fall apart on the people of God. Aren't
- 59:37Speaker 11: the people of God?
- 59:40Speaker 3: You said in yesterday's message. And by the way, friends,
- 59:42Speaker 3: if you want to go and see it for yourself,
- 59:45Speaker 3: Emergence in jay on YouTube has this message posted. It's
- 59:52Speaker 3: their YouTube channel and you can also find out more
- 59:55Speaker 3: at Emergence dot Church I think is the website being
- 59:59Speaker 3: can check out in either place. But you mentioned yesterday
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: that Judges has like five levels of madness or crazy
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: that it gets to what just give us the benchmarks?
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: What were those like levels?
- 1:00:15Speaker 11: The beginning, you know, level one, you see the people
- 1:00:18Speaker 11: walk away from the Lord, and you know that, I'd
- 1:00:21Speaker 11: say that's level one. Level two and three you start
- 1:00:25Speaker 11: to see some of their judges themselves. Not only do
- 1:00:28Speaker 11: the people continue to walk away from the Lord, but
- 1:00:31Speaker 11: some of the leaders are become a little cowardly and
- 1:00:34Speaker 11: a little fearful. And by the time you get to
- 1:00:36Speaker 11: level four, the leaders, guys like Samson and guys like
- 1:00:41Speaker 11: Gideon become increasingly selfish. And you know, Samson, always the
- 1:00:47Speaker 11: most gifted of all the judges God raises up, he
- 1:00:50Speaker 11: actually accomplishes the least and he never really uses his
- 1:00:54Speaker 11: gifts for anyone. But his own flesh and his own self.
- 1:00:58Speaker 11: And so Level four is like, not just the culture's bad,
- 1:01:02Speaker 11: the leaders are bad.
- 1:01:03Speaker 5: It's hard.
- 1:01:04Speaker 11: It's hard to read the stories and be like, who's
- 1:01:06Speaker 11: the good guy. And then by the time we get
- 1:01:08Speaker 11: the level five, it's all out, you know, destruction and anarchy.
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: And we're gonna we're going to pick up on that thought.
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: On the other side of this break, Ryan batesl is
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: my guest. He's the senior lead pastor at Emergence Church.
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: He was the very first pastor we had on our
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: special segment called how Do We Live? And we're kind
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: of going a little deep on something today because I
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: just feel like, what we what you taught on yesterday,
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: Ryan was so incredibly vibrantly important, and we're gonna we're
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: gonna pull that back, pull the skin on that back
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: when we come back. Kevin mccaullaugh coming right back to uncle.
- 1:01:41Speaker 12: Stick around for more that Kevin next.
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: Here he is from New York. Kevin McCullough.
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: All right, glad to have you with us. It's that
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: Kevin Show, that kevinshow dot com.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: Kevin McCall it my name. Glad to have you with us.
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: Thank you, for however, you're joining US podcast broadcast whatever.
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: We're just glad you're there. Ryan batesl is my guest
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: and he is a pastor in the local New York,
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: New Jersey Tri State. Very blessed. Actually, you may have
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: seen an article in the USA today about a revival
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: taking place in the Tri state area. Is that possible
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: in New Jersey of all places? Well, that's that's something
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: that Ryan you touched on yesterday in your message with
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: your your home base there you have multiple campuses, but
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: at your home base in Totawa, New Jersey, you were
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: actually talking about something that you guys do called church
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: outside and a lot of people have come to faith
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: in Jesus through those services. And there's more information. They
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: have one coming up if you want to know more
- 1:03:03Speaker 3: about it on Emergence dot Church.
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: That's where you go.
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: But we're talking about the series and Judges and Ryan
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: you started yesterday's message by saying, this is where it
- 1:03:13Speaker 3: gets crazy and there's nothing that redeems it at the end,
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: and something goes through my mind that says, Okay, then
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: why do we teach on it if there's no redemption
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: in it? Like it's just it's just a rated our
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: movie for rated our movie's sake.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: I mean, what was the story there?
- 1:03:29Speaker 6: Well?
- 1:03:30Speaker 11: I think two things. I think one, sometimes God in
- 1:03:33Speaker 11: his mercy, pulls back the curtain and allows us to
- 1:03:38Speaker 11: see the harvest of sin, and when you see how
- 1:03:43Speaker 11: bad it is, you don't want it, you know what
- 1:03:45Speaker 11: I mean. And sometimes we only see sin in its springtime,
- 1:03:50Speaker 11: and Judges allows us to see its fall and it's
- 1:03:54Speaker 11: winter and its destruction and enough of it to go.
- 1:03:58Speaker 6: I don't want that.
- 1:04:00Speaker 11: And then the second the hope really is it points
- 1:04:03Speaker 11: to hey, until Christ comes, He's the true deliver. I
- 1:04:09Speaker 11: mean a lot of these delivers, these judges fail. In
- 1:04:12Speaker 11: the Book of Judges, there is a coming deliver in
- 1:04:16Speaker 11: Christ who never fails.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: It's a thing about his whole things.
- 1:04:19Speaker 3: Let's delve into chapters nineteen twenty and twenty one. Though,
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: what do we see happening here? What's the best story?
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: Brutal?
- 1:04:25Speaker 11: It's brutal. I mean, it's it's a replay in some
- 1:04:30Speaker 11: ways of Sodom and Gomorah. It's become clear that nation
- 1:04:33Speaker 11: has become worse than Sodom and Gomorrah. There's a priest
- 1:04:37Speaker 11: who has a concubine and just like in Sodom, Gomora
- 1:04:40Speaker 11: mobs arounds the house and they forced the rout and
- 1:04:43Speaker 11: they violate her and she dies, and then he is
- 1:04:47Speaker 11: graphic Kevin. He carves up his body and sends it
- 1:04:50Speaker 11: to the tribes of Israel. Then there's a civil war
- 1:04:52Speaker 11: against the tribe of Benjamin. It's like the nation has
- 1:04:56Speaker 11: become worse than Sodom and Gomore, more wicked then the
- 1:05:00Speaker 11: surrounding nations in this short time of walking away from
- 1:05:03Speaker 11: the Lord, and they're finally going, you know, to battle,
- 1:05:08Speaker 11: but against themselves, and so it's a it's a tragic,
- 1:05:11Speaker 11: tragic ending. And then you see they're trying to think
- 1:05:14Speaker 11: through ways to fix what they've done, and they're just
- 1:05:16Speaker 11: making it worse because not only have they failed, but
- 1:05:20Speaker 11: man's wisdoms collapsing outside of the Lord. And so you
- 1:05:23Speaker 11: just see, you know, patterns of sexual violence and brokenness,
- 1:05:27Speaker 11: the inability of man's wisdom, increase violence and war, and
- 1:05:31Speaker 11: a culture all all these things as the spiral goes
- 1:05:35Speaker 11: down and down.
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: You made the point specifically though, that when this is
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: the natural outcome of not following God's intended flourishing will for.
- 1:05:48Speaker 11: Us, Yeah, this is where society will always go into
- 1:05:52Speaker 11: violence in the sexual sin.
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: I mean that's left their own devices. Yeah, apart from God,
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: this is where they end up. And you you brought
- 1:06:01Speaker 3: everyone back to God's ideal when it comes to marriage,
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: and you said it would solve a number of problems
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: in our current culture today. Now, but you said, when
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: God's will is followed, it provides a cure for a.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: Number of things. So what were some of the things
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: that you listed yesterday?
- 1:06:20Speaker 11: Well, I mean we just talked about because you know,
- 1:06:22Speaker 11: just as a pastor, sometimes people will hear, especially when
- 1:06:25Speaker 11: you're talking to them about your faith, and they'll hear
- 1:06:27Speaker 11: God's standard on sex and sexuality one man and one
- 1:06:30Speaker 11: woman in one lifetime, and they'll say that's crazy. And
- 1:06:33Speaker 11: I always go, man, let's judge crazy by the fruit
- 1:06:36Speaker 11: of what it produces. And just spend a little time
- 1:06:41Speaker 11: looking at the passage, going that looks crazy, rape, violence, war,
- 1:06:45Speaker 11: Here's what's not crazy. One man loving one woman really
- 1:06:49Speaker 11: well and enjoying each other their whole life. And God's design.
- 1:06:54Speaker 11: You know that God gives me to love a wife.
- 1:06:57Speaker 11: What a gift that is. And if you just start
- 1:07:00Speaker 11: to peel the onion for twenty seconds, I mean you
- 1:07:03Speaker 11: just kind of did some of it to go, well,
- 1:07:05Speaker 11: what if as a culture we obeyed God's standard on sex, Well,
- 1:07:10Speaker 11: it would end rape, it would end sexually transmitted diseases,
- 1:07:14Speaker 11: it would end abortion, it would end teen pregnancy, it
- 1:07:17Speaker 11: would end affairs, it would end a lot of homes
- 1:07:20Speaker 11: falling apart, a lot of children growing up with single
- 1:07:23Speaker 11: parent families, and statistically the difficulty that creates. I mean
- 1:07:28Speaker 11: you can just begin to go, Wow, we're settling for
- 1:07:33Speaker 11: crazy as a culture. God's standard is wonderful.
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: Yeah, when you reeled off that list, I was like,
- 1:07:39Speaker 3: there was a dozen or more things that you mentioned,
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: and I was like, wow, that really would if we
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: just followed God's will in just that part of our lives,
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: would it would correct all those things? And imagine the pain,
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: the human damage, the things that that all changes. And friends,
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: those of you listening, that's the purpose God created us
- 1:08:02Speaker 3: to flourish. He created us to know Him, to grow
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: in the relationship with Him so that we don't have chaotic, destroyed,
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: you know, despisable lives, but instead we have the great
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: gift of love and protection and peace and joy and
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: all the other things that come with Him. And Ryan
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: what a powerful reminder you laid out, and I just
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: want to say thank you for being faithful and thanks
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: for sharing it with us.
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: We appreciate it. Thanks you got it.
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: And if again, if you want to go view this message,
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: I would encourage you to do it. It's on YouTube
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: at Emergence n Jay I think is the name of
- 1:08:40Speaker 3: their YouTube channel. Kevin McCullough coming right back. It's a
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: Monday Monday. We're going to check the markets.
- 1:08:46Speaker 13: Uncle here he is from New York.
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: That Kevin.
- 1:09:07Speaker 3: Kevin McCullough, All right, welcome back. It is Money Monday,
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: where we try to help you protect and help be
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: good steward of that which you've earned and perhaps even
- 1:09:18Speaker 3: grow it and leave it as a legacy for those
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: who come behind you. It's one of our major core
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: values here at that Kevin Show, to help you be
- 1:09:25Speaker 3: wise with your financial investments. And Hillary Kramer's back with us.
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: She's the millionaire maker Hillary Kramer dot Com as her website.
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: I know that one of the things you love about
- 1:09:36Speaker 3: certain types of stocks is ones that pay you dividends.
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: Dividends are very big bonuses in Hillary Kramer's.
- 1:09:43Speaker 14: Book, incredibly wonderful. You know, will you have to think about, Kevin,
- 1:09:49Speaker 14: is that those momentum stocks that have made so many
- 1:09:52Speaker 14: people billions of dollars, they're down twenty four percent from
- 1:09:56Speaker 14: their high. When I said momentum, he that's that mag seven,
- 1:10:00Speaker 14: the semiconductor great ones, and they all have all these acronyms.
- 1:10:04Speaker 14: Now for them, it's down twenty four percent. So you
- 1:10:08Speaker 14: have to hit it right and you have to eat
- 1:10:09Speaker 14: it right at.
- 1:10:09Speaker 6: The right time.
- 1:10:11Speaker 11: You know.
- 1:10:11Speaker 14: I'm very humble, but I have to say, people who
- 1:10:13Speaker 14: listen to me have made millions of dollars because I
- 1:10:16Speaker 14: do come up with stocks before anyone else does. Okay,
- 1:10:19Speaker 14: let's take a look at a stock like Palenteer. I
- 1:10:21Speaker 14: was talking about it with you for years. Seven dollars, ten, twelve, fifteen,
- 1:10:27Speaker 14: right all the way up, so people have made one
- 1:10:29Speaker 14: thousand percent. I've done the same thing with in video.
- 1:10:33Speaker 14: We've done the same thing. You've given me the opportunity
- 1:10:36Speaker 14: to talk about my mushroom stock DFTs okay, so you know,
- 1:10:40Speaker 14: and memory chips. So I do present those. But in general,
- 1:10:45Speaker 14: the listeners, those who are listening to us right now,
- 1:10:49Speaker 14: believe me when I say that the big boys have
- 1:10:52Speaker 14: already sold or they're selling their stakes to you while
- 1:10:57Speaker 14: you're busy buying. Thinks you're going to make lots of money.
- 1:11:00Speaker 14: So the way you can win, and that's by having
- 1:11:03Speaker 14: a divid in yield, and the divit and yield means
- 1:11:06Speaker 14: that the money comes in every single year. You can
- 1:11:10Speaker 14: get with her it's three percent, five percent. We're going
- 1:11:12Speaker 14: to go through those stocks together. But the important point
- 1:11:15Speaker 14: here is that like the tortoise in the it's a
- 1:11:19Speaker 14: fable that people continue listening to to this day because
- 1:11:24Speaker 14: there's really reality based truth in it. Okay, so let's get.
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: Short on time.
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: Let's get you got ten of them, Let's try to
- 1:11:30Speaker 3: knock them out.
- 1:11:31Speaker 14: We're going to knock him out quickly. Let's start with
- 1:11:33Speaker 14: Pfizer PFE, the world's largest pharmaceutical company. Remember the COVID
- 1:11:39Speaker 14: vaccine boom faded and that brought the stock price down
- 1:11:42Speaker 14: and slowly it's been deflating. But they have cancer treatments.
- 1:11:46Speaker 14: They acquired forty three billion dollars Sigan, and they have
- 1:11:49Speaker 14: the GLP one drug space. And the appeal here is
- 1:11:53Speaker 14: by Pfizer PFE. Everyone listen up seven point one percent
- 1:11:58Speaker 14: divid in yield, seven point one percent and it's a
- 1:12:02Speaker 14: phenomenal stock that's regrowing. So you get that seven point
- 1:12:05Speaker 14: one percent, and the underlying stock price itself could increase.
- 1:12:09Speaker 14: Even if it only goes up five percent a year.
- 1:12:11Speaker 14: Plus a dividend, you end up with thirteen percent compounding.
- 1:12:15Speaker 14: Make it beautiful. Let's talk about Verizon. Okay, they're they're
- 1:12:19Speaker 14: literally just killing it. Okay with their fiber optic broadband business.
- 1:12:23Speaker 14: Nineteen contestants that consecutive years Verizon has raised its dividend.
- 1:12:28Speaker 14: There's a heavy debt load, which and there's a lot
- 1:12:31Speaker 14: of competition which keeps some investors out, but the dividend
- 1:12:34Speaker 14: is well established and generously funded, and you get a
- 1:12:38Speaker 14: six point seven percent Divitan yelled Vsy Victor Zebra Verizon.
- 1:12:43Speaker 6: Now let's talk about a rate N and N.
- 1:12:48Speaker 14: It's a real estate investment trust that has these free
- 1:12:51Speaker 14: standing properties. I wasn't going to get it today, but
- 1:12:53Speaker 14: then I decided I would because they're properties that have
- 1:12:57Speaker 14: these long leases. Are auto service company, these quick service restaurants,
- 1:13:01Speaker 14: convenience stores, companies that are going to make it just
- 1:13:05Speaker 14: as big during times of unaffordability and recession as it
- 1:13:10Speaker 14: would in tom boom times. Okay, So in and and
- 1:13:14Speaker 14: phenomenal company. They have increased their dividends to thirty six
- 1:13:17Speaker 14: years in a row. You get a different deal to
- 1:13:19Speaker 14: five point four percent. I love this one. Revenue grows
- 1:13:23Speaker 14: six point six percent a year.
- 1:13:25Speaker 6: Here's one.
- 1:13:25Speaker 14: The ticker symbol is OH and it's Realty Income. The
- 1:13:30Speaker 14: catch here is you get a monthly dinitend. I mean
- 1:13:33Speaker 14: it doesn't mean you don't. You don't get five point
- 1:13:35Speaker 14: two percent every month. It comes out to five point
- 1:13:38Speaker 14: two percent annualized, but you get a payment and it's
- 1:13:41Speaker 14: just a great dividend. Aristocratic stock and uh and I
- 1:13:46Speaker 14: love this. And they have a lot of resisiant, recession
- 1:13:49Speaker 14: resistant tenants, a lot of the dollar stores, drug stores,
- 1:13:53Speaker 14: convenience stores, and they're in all fifty states, and they're
- 1:13:56Speaker 14: in the end, they're in Europe. Now, let's do Enbridge
- 1:13:58Speaker 14: Enbridge e N it's one of North America's largest energy
- 1:14:03Speaker 14: infrastructure companies. This is a great one. I really love EENB.
- 1:14:09Speaker 14: Are you following along with me so you can see
- 1:14:12Speaker 14: what the I am.
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: The dividend yield is five point two percent.
- 1:14:16Speaker 14: Yes, that is absolutely right, And I think E and
- 1:14:18Speaker 14: B is a really great one to go for. Enbridge
- 1:14:21Speaker 14: let's move on to Snoko products, which we did once before. Son.
- 1:14:26Speaker 14: It's a packager, so people are going to continue to
- 1:14:28Speaker 14: buy from from Amazon or from the supermarket. When you
- 1:14:32Speaker 14: get your chap to me at the supermarket, it comes
- 1:14:34Speaker 14: like with they got like a black shell underneath it. It's
- 1:14:37Speaker 14: like styrofoam. And that's what Snoco does. It's a MidCap
- 1:14:41Speaker 14: in twenty twenty six marks. It's one hundred year of
- 1:14:43Speaker 14: paying dividends and it's forty five hundred years raising them
- 1:14:47Speaker 14: one hundred years. Your dividend yield is four point four
- 1:14:50Speaker 14: percent revenue growth, it's totally flat.
- 1:14:54Speaker 8: Let's do you gi.
- 1:14:55Speaker 14: This is number seven diversified energy distributor distributor electric utilities
- 1:15:01Speaker 14: and natural gas Pennsylvania and then and a lot of
- 1:15:04Speaker 14: the Eastern Seaboard. Here you have a four point one
- 1:15:07Speaker 14: percent dividend yield, revenue growth one percent. I like this
- 1:15:11Speaker 14: one as well. This is a Northwest play if anyone
- 1:15:14Speaker 14: listening in the Pacific Northwest, Okay NWN regulated utility delivering
- 1:15:20Speaker 14: natural gas and UH and recent customer growth has been
- 1:15:24Speaker 14: eleven percent, driven by water and their expansion into Texas.
- 1:15:28Speaker 14: And here your dividend is four percent you're diving in
- 1:15:31Speaker 14: yield annually. I also love number nine. This Community Trust
- 1:15:35Speaker 14: Bank Corpus CTBI. CTBI a conservative run bank based in Kentucky.
- 1:15:42Speaker 14: Forty five consecutive years of increasing its cash dividend. It's
- 1:15:46Speaker 14: a dividend champion. Earn it. Their loans are up nine percent,
- 1:15:50Speaker 14: deposits are up seven percent, and you're diving in yield
- 1:15:53Speaker 14: is three point four percent. I also love this one.
- 1:15:57Speaker 14: People love to learn new things. Lancaster Colony l a
- 1:16:00Speaker 14: n C. Is that the desire to laugh. It's a
- 1:16:03Speaker 14: They make brands such as Marsetti Dressing and Dips, New
- 1:16:07Speaker 14: York Bakery, Fers and Garlic Bread. And l a n
- 1:16:10Speaker 14: C also makes the weak licensed retail versions of all
- 1:16:14Speaker 14: of Garden Dressing.
- 1:16:15Speaker 3: And oh we love that. What a great list, Hillary,
- 1:16:20Speaker 3: And we're just out of time, but you got them
- 1:16:22Speaker 3: all in and I'm so proud of you. Check her
- 1:16:24Speaker 3: out at Hillary Kramer dot com, but more importantly, join
- 1:16:28Speaker 3: her LinkedIn. Her LinkedIn is where she's at and she's
- 1:16:30Speaker 3: got her tips each week posted on LinkedIn, Hillary Kramer,
- 1:16:34Speaker 3: thank you for being with us. Thank you, Kevin, you
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: got it. Calvin McCullough coming right back don't go away.
- 1:16:41Speaker 10: Let's stick around for more of than Kevin next serving
- 1:16:56Speaker 10: it up with a no drink mental.
- 1:17:00Speaker 3: It's that cabin the show, all right, Kevin mccallaugh.
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: Glad to have you with us.
- 1:17:07Speaker 3: I want to say thank you again, by the way,
- 1:17:09Speaker 3: to all my new sponsors. We've got such We've got
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: such a great opportunity for you to understand the beauty
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: of what we're gonna do as a community for one
- 1:17:23Speaker 3: another in the days and weeks to come. But last
- 1:17:26Speaker 3: week we had some new sponsors jump on to the bandwagon,
- 1:17:30Speaker 3: chief among them, and I got an email from somebody
- 1:17:32Speaker 3: asking for the U r L again. Dominion dot Chat,
- 1:17:38Speaker 3: not the Dominion, not something else, Dominion, just plain old
- 1:17:41Speaker 3: dominion dot Chat. It's a christ centric, Bible centric, God centric,
- 1:17:50Speaker 3: complete AI learning model. You can learn how to change
- 1:17:53Speaker 3: your oil, you can learn about global economics, you can
- 1:17:58Speaker 3: you can get it to help you proofread something you're
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: working on, or to help you with a project. Everything
- 1:18:04Speaker 3: that you use AI for currently you can do. If
- 1:18:07Speaker 3: you're a Chat, GPT or claud user, Dominion dot chat
- 1:18:11Speaker 3: will help you just as much. But the problem with
- 1:18:14Speaker 3: those other models is that they try to take an
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: assessment of you while you're using them, and then they
- 1:18:19Speaker 3: feed you back what they think you want to hear.
- 1:18:22Speaker 3: So if you ask them like a moral question like
- 1:18:24Speaker 3: should should I betray my family and cheat on my spouse,
- 1:18:27Speaker 3: It'll be something much more generic than what dominion dot
- 1:18:31Speaker 3: chat will tell you. It will actually give good advice.
- 1:18:35Speaker 3: If you're struggling with something, it will point you in
- 1:18:37Speaker 3: a biblical direction. And I'm just really excited to have
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: them on board Dominion dot chat and be listening. Soon
- 1:18:44Speaker 3: we're going to give away one hundred I think it's
- 1:18:46Speaker 3: one hundred memberships to Dominion dot Chat in the very
- 1:18:50Speaker 3: near future. I also want to say thank you to
- 1:18:52Speaker 3: DFW Direct Insurance. They helped me save over four hundred
- 1:18:56Speaker 3: dollars a month on the health insurance from my family.
- 1:18:59Speaker 3: What can they do for you? Go and see for yourself.
- 1:19:03Speaker 3: Call the cell phone of VIC who is the owner,
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: and he will personally help you get the best insurance
- 1:19:10Speaker 3: policy possible. And if he can't help you, he'll tell
- 1:19:12Speaker 3: you that. But they're licensed in all fifty states. I
- 1:19:15Speaker 3: also want you to know that on PhD Weight Loss,
- 1:19:17Speaker 3: I've been on this program now for going on my
- 1:19:20Speaker 3: third week and I am down over twelve pounds in
- 1:19:25Speaker 3: three weeks. It's a slow, but steady and healthy way
- 1:19:30Speaker 3: to lose weight and I am literally never hungry. They
- 1:19:33Speaker 3: have me eating every two and a half hours during
- 1:19:36Speaker 3: the day and it's something that has been interesting to
- 1:19:40Speaker 3: watch the weight come off. Got a little waste to
- 1:19:43Speaker 3: go yet. My goal is about another forty eight pounds,
- 1:19:47Speaker 3: but I'm having success thus far. If you're looking for
- 1:19:50Speaker 3: family safe entertainment in New York, I want to recommend
- 1:19:53Speaker 3: the Amaze show, Jamie Allen's Amaze. It's the winner of
- 1:19:57Speaker 3: the Drama Desk Award this year, and I'm proud to
- 1:19:59Speaker 3: partner with the to Lord Purty and Swell Medical for
- 1:20:03Speaker 3: telehealth in ways you never imagined it before and all
- 1:20:05Speaker 3: that they can do to help you. Please check out
- 1:20:08Speaker 3: Swellcare dot health. Swellcare dot health is where you go
- 1:20:13Speaker 3: for that. But all my brand new sponsors on board,
- 1:20:15Speaker 3: loving having them as part of it. Also want to
- 1:20:18Speaker 3: give you some good news to end. I like to
- 1:20:20Speaker 3: have good news to end the show with from time
- 1:20:22Speaker 3: to time, and this comes from China. Pastor Ezra Jin
- 1:20:26Speaker 3: of the unregistered Zion Church was detained in China in
- 1:20:31Speaker 3: October of last year. He was guilty only of preaching
- 1:20:34Speaker 3: the Christian Gospel, and he has been released after an
- 1:20:38Speaker 3: appeal from President Trump. Pastor Ezra Jin, also known as
- 1:20:42Speaker 3: j Mingri, was detained last October along with twenty members
- 1:20:47Speaker 3: of his unregistered Zion Church when authorities intensified long standing
- 1:20:51Speaker 3: efforts to reign in underground religious networks in mainland China.
- 1:20:55Speaker 3: Jin arrived in Los Angeles late on Friday. According to
- 1:20:58Speaker 3: his daughter, Grace Jin Drexel, his detention had prompted an
- 1:21:03Speaker 3: immediate backlash from Washington, and his release could help offer
- 1:21:07Speaker 3: a salve to US China relations, strained by a host
- 1:21:10Speaker 3: of differences over issues including trade and security. But some
- 1:21:14Speaker 3: good news for the Jin family Pastor Jen. Pastor Ezra
- 1:21:18Speaker 3: Jen is free and now with his daughter in the
- 1:21:22Speaker 3: United States, and we're just so grateful to God that
- 1:21:26Speaker 3: that is in fact the case. Kelvin McCollough, I hope
- 1:21:29Speaker 3: that you'll stay with us twenty four hours a day
- 1:21:31Speaker 3: at that Kevinshow dot com, get the podcast, watch the
- 1:21:34Speaker 3: TV show. It's all there, and we will see you
- 1:21:36Speaker 3: next time.
