- 0:07Speaker 4: Welcome to The Hodaki Big Show.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Really big. With Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Keezy. The
- 0:16Speaker 3: Hodaki Big Show. Oh, g'day, you mad boss. It's great
- 0:19Speaker 3: to have your company on this glorious Wednesday afternoon. It
- 0:23Speaker 3: is the 2nd of September, 2026. And you, my friends,
- 0:26Speaker 3: as always, listening to The Big Show, brought to you
- 0:30Speaker 3: by Reburger.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Beef, chicken, vegan and vegetarian options. Reburger are redefining the norm.
- 0:35Speaker 3: The name's burger. Dish, dish, dish. Reburger. You're looking very
- 0:44Speaker 3: handsome today, Moggy.
- 0:48Speaker 4: Thanks, mate. You're not looking too bad to yourself there.
- 0:51Speaker 3: Yeah, thanks, mate. I've gone back to my little hoodie there.
- 0:53Speaker 4: You've got a black cap on, Reburger cap.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Yes, I've got it back, man. It's back.
- 0:57Speaker 4: You've got a huge story about that that you should tell.
- 1:00Speaker 4: You're wearing a hoodie and then you've got a jacket
- 1:03Speaker 4: over the top of it. You like your black, don't you?
- 1:05Speaker 4: Is that your favourite lack of colour?
- 1:08Speaker 3: It's not really even a choice. It's the clothes that
- 1:10Speaker 3: I like to wear just happen to be black.
- 1:12Speaker 5: Slimming.
- 1:13Speaker 4: Yeah, slimming.
- 1:14Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:15Speaker 4: Do you like what he's wearing there, Keezy?
- 1:17Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I love it.
- 1:18Speaker 4: It's great.
- 1:20Speaker 3: What's that you got on, Keezy?
- 1:21Speaker 1: Just a jacket and a T-shirt. G'day, fellas. How you going?
- 1:24Speaker 3: Yeah, good, mate, good.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Feeling pretty good hump day?
- 1:26Speaker 4: Hump it up. Yeah, man.
- 1:27Speaker 1: God, but I tell you what. Today's show, jam-packed full
- 1:31Speaker 1: of good stuff. We're filling good stuff today, Fiona.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Absolutely, we do.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Massive.
- 1:35Speaker 4: Massive.
- 1:36Speaker 1: How are you, though, Jase? You all G-men? You all good, mate?
- 1:38Speaker 3: I'm really good.
- 1:39Speaker 4: Now, I know you guys went out and played golf today.
- 1:41Speaker 4: You both had a shocker and sort of that sort of,
- 1:43Speaker 4: you've come in here and you're real down in the mouth.
- 1:45Speaker 4: Not at all. A couple of sad sacks, a couple
- 1:47Speaker 4: of shocking bastards.
- 1:50Speaker 3: But what I am is very physically sore.
- 1:53Speaker 4: Oh, yes.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm a bit achy. It's a hell of a course,
- 1:56Speaker 3: that one, so I'm feeling a bit... 16,000 steps today, Mogi.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Whoa.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Most of it uphill.
- 2:02Speaker 4: How many steps did you do, Keezy?
- 2:04Speaker 1: I was in a cart.
- 2:05Speaker 3: You were with him.
- 2:06Speaker 5: Yeah, right. He was with me.
- 2:07Speaker 1: I think 50.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Yeah, we went through his steps. He's done 180 steps
- 2:12Speaker 3: to my 16,000. Yeah, because I had a cart, though.
- 2:16Speaker 4: Yeah, good.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I can hit it without hopping out of the cart. Yeah,
- 2:19Speaker 1: like polo, golf polo.
- 2:20Speaker 4: 100%.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Nice, man.
- 2:22Speaker 1: So good.
- 2:26Speaker 3: What's happening on The Big Show with Old Moges.
- 2:29Speaker 4: Hey, another opportunity to get yourself in the draw for
- 2:32Speaker 4: Would You Rather. Listen out for the cue to call.
- 2:34Speaker 4: Give us a buzz and you can tell us what
- 2:35Speaker 4: you'd rather do. Go to the footy final in Sydney
- 2:39Speaker 4: or attend the great race at Mount Panorama. Hoity J,
- 2:43Speaker 4: what would you do, man?
- 2:44Speaker 3: That's a tough one.
- 2:45Speaker 4: Okay, come back to us later and we'll tell you
- 2:47Speaker 4: what Hoity J's decided there. Also, there's three certainties in life,
- 2:52Speaker 4: isn't there? There's death, taxes, and Keezy needing to make
- 2:55Speaker 4: an apology for another shocker. We'll get into that later
- 2:58Speaker 4: in the show, Keezy. What have you done, man? Yeah,
- 2:59Speaker 4: come on. I don't know, man.
- 3:00Speaker 1: It's not that bad, man.
- 3:01Speaker 4: It's chill, man.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Unbelievable.
- 3:03Speaker 4: But coming up next, Jase's filthy mind. Jase's shocking, filthy,
- 3:10Speaker 4: bastard mind. Well, I mean... He's been keeping them up
- 3:13Speaker 4: at night.
- 3:14Speaker 3: Has been, actually, last night, for sure. But we'll get
- 3:16Speaker 3: into that in a moment.
- 3:18Speaker 4: But.
- 3:19Speaker 3: In the meantime, here's Stone Temple Pilot.
- 3:22Speaker 2: The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from 4 on Radio Hauraki.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Yes, indeed. Papa Roach there on the Hauraki Big Show.
- 3:29Speaker 3: This Wednesday afternoon, the time is 12 minutes past 4 o'clock. And, fellas,
- 3:35Speaker 3: I'm fuming. We were talking a little yesterday about how
- 3:39Speaker 3: we've been having shocking sleeps.
- 3:42Speaker 5: I haven't.
- 3:45Speaker 3: And not only... Did I have a shocking sleep last night?
- 3:51Speaker 4: Yes.
- 3:51Speaker 3: I was also interrupted mid-erotic dream. Ooh. It was 3
- 3:58Speaker 3: o'clock in the morning.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Right.
- 4:02Speaker 3: And I was having this dream, and then in the midst.
- 4:06Speaker 4: Of this dream, there was this- What was the dream about?
- 4:10Speaker 3: Well, I don't want to get into the- massive details
- 4:13Speaker 3: about the dream.
- 4:14Speaker 4: Just a taste. Give me a taste.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Just a little bit.
- 4:16Speaker 3: Well, I don't think that the actual erotic dream.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Were you in it?
- 4:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I was in it, obviously.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Who else was there? Was it Hoity J's eye view?
- 4:26Speaker 3: Yes, it was my view.
- 4:27Speaker 4: Okay, great. So you couldn't see you in the dream?
- 4:29Speaker 3: No, you couldn't see me. I was behind the screen,
- 4:33Speaker 3: as it were.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Who was it?
- 4:35Speaker 3: Well, as I say, the actual dream itself, like I
- 4:41Speaker 3: got home and Pugs was in my apartment. He was
- 4:47Speaker 3: totally naked on the couch. I was like, bloody hell,
- 4:50Speaker 3: what are you doing, Pugs?
- 4:51Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:52Speaker 3: And he was like, oh, watching Dog Squad? Yeah.
- 4:54Speaker 4: And I was like, oh. That's how all my erotic
- 4:57Speaker 4: dreams start as well. That's a bit weird.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Same, but mine's Border Patrol.
- 5:00Speaker 3: I was at Border Patrol, and I was like, oh. But,
- 5:03Speaker 3: you know, I was obviously pretty moved by that. But anyway,
- 5:06Speaker 3: so there was this cacophony of noise in the middle
- 5:10Speaker 3: of my dream, and I've never had a– I've never
- 5:12Speaker 3: been aware of having a dream and it being disturbed
- 5:15Speaker 3: from almost like an outside force, you know what I mean?
- 5:18Speaker 1: And was Pugs the only one– Well, I.
- 5:23Speaker 3: Mean, no, he wasn't, but he was just naked on
- 5:26Speaker 3: the couch.
- 5:26Speaker 1: But then who, was there someone else there as well,
- 5:28Speaker 1: or was it just Pugs?
- 5:28Speaker 3: Well, this is a weird thing, because normally when I
- 5:30Speaker 3: get home, I go and put my uggies on.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Your ugg boots?
- 5:33Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah. And in my dream, I was like, oh, God,
- 5:35Speaker 3: Pugs is naked, and what's going on there? And he's
- 5:39Speaker 3: watching Dog Squad. And I go into my bedroom where
- 5:43Speaker 3: my uggies are, and there's old bloody Keezy, butt naked.
- 5:49Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Yeah. But for a diamante G string. And I'm like,
- 5:55Speaker 3: you know when you're sort of in a dream and
- 5:56Speaker 3: you go, hang on, is that, is that Keezy?
- 5:59Speaker 1: Am I on your bed?
- 6:01Speaker 3: No, you're not on my bed. You had your hands
- 6:04Speaker 3: on the carpet. Right. And you were just wearing this diamante.
- 6:08Speaker 1: I was on all fours.
- 6:09Speaker 3: And you're on all fours, just sort of looking over
- 6:11Speaker 3: your shoulder.
- 6:12Speaker 1: That sounds right. Are you sure that was a dream?
- 6:15Speaker 1: This is where it.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Started to merge between dream and reality, you know?
- 6:20Speaker 1: But I wasn't at yours last night. It must have
- 6:22Speaker 1: been a dream.
- 6:23Speaker 3: You weren't?
- 6:24Speaker 1: No, Pucks hates Dog Squad.
- 6:26Speaker 3: And I was like, what are you doing, Keezy? And
- 6:28Speaker 3: he was like, not much.
- 6:29Speaker 5: You?
- 6:32Speaker 3: But anyway, so I'm having this dream, and I am
- 6:35Speaker 3: being affected by the fact that the fellas are all
- 6:37Speaker 3: naked there. But then I get interrupted in my dream.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Hang on, was Mogi there?
- 6:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:46Speaker 3: Well, as I say, I don't want to get bogged
- 6:47Speaker 3: down into the eroticism of the tree.
- 6:49Speaker 1: But you've got me, you've got Pug. Surely Mogi was there.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Well, the funny thing was, so I'm staring at old
- 6:55Speaker 3: Keezy's butt, and I'm going, God. You know why you're
- 7:01Speaker 3: wearing a Timu Daimonte thing, a G-string?
- 7:04Speaker 1: Was it from Timu?
- 7:05Speaker 4: Because he's a sick bastard.
- 7:06Speaker 3: Well, because it came up in my feed yesterday.
- 7:08Speaker 5: Oh.
- 7:09Speaker 3: It was a Timu daimonte. So I think that's why
- 7:13Speaker 3: you were wearing it. But anyway, I went to put
- 7:15Speaker 3: my uggies on. I was like, who's in the shower?
- 7:19Speaker 1: Who was it?
- 7:20Speaker 3: And I was like, oh, what the hell's going on?
- 7:23Speaker 3: So go into the shower. There's old Mogi sudded up. Yeah.
- 7:30Speaker 3: You know, he's got like soap suds all over his buzzies. Wow.
- 7:35Speaker 3: Sort of collecting in his pubis. And I'm like, what
- 7:39Speaker 3: are you doing, Maggie? And he was like, just cleaning, man.
- 7:42Speaker 5: And I was like, God.
- 7:44Speaker 4: So nothing sexual about it.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Oh, I think that was probably the most sexual part
- 7:48Speaker 3: of my dream. And I was, you know, I was
- 7:51Speaker 3: getting into it by then. You know what I mean?
- 7:53Speaker 1: What were you doing? You say you're getting into it.
- 7:55Speaker 3: What were you doing? I'm not going to get into
- 7:56Speaker 3: the details of what I was doing. But you know
- 7:58Speaker 3: what I mean? I may or may not have hopped
- 8:00Speaker 3: in the shower with Maggie.
- 8:02Speaker 4: Well, you would need to because it sounds like you
- 8:03Speaker 4: have been a dirty little fella.
- 8:06Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:06Speaker 3: Well, actually.
- 8:07Speaker 4: You need a good wash.
- 8:08Speaker 3: You've just jogged my memory. That's what you said to me. God,
- 8:11Speaker 3: you dirty little bastard. You'd better jump in here. Oh,
- 8:15Speaker 3: hang on, Keezy. You haven't got to the point in
- 8:17Speaker 3: my dream yet.
- 8:18Speaker 1: We don't have time, man. You've got to play the
- 8:19Speaker 1: White Stripes.
- 8:20Speaker 5: Oh.
- 8:21Speaker 1: You got interrupted, right?
- 8:22Speaker 3: By a gang of you.
- 8:23Speaker 1: We don't have time.
- 8:24Speaker 4: We don't have time.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Here's the White Stripes.
- 8:28Speaker 2: The Hodaki Beat Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune
- 8:31Speaker 2: in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hodaki. One simple question.
- 8:36Speaker 2: One weekend of a lifetime.
- 8:39Speaker 4: Would you rather?
- 8:41Speaker 3: Yes, indeed. Would you rather Bathurst and or the NRL
- 8:46Speaker 3: Grand Final?
- 8:47Speaker 1: Just to correct you there, it's not and or.
- 8:49Speaker 4: You can't do both.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Or the Grand Final or Bathurst.
- 8:54Speaker 2: And?
- 8:56Speaker 1: Would you rather Bathurst and the Grand Final?
- 8:59Speaker 5: Yes.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Yeah, see that one.
- 9:01Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 9:01Speaker 1: And then all of a sudden, you know, we're giving
- 9:02Speaker 1: away two chips.
- 9:03Speaker 4: Yeah, well, certainly when it comes to the prizes, we
- 9:05Speaker 4: don't want to be making false promises, Keezy. Yeah, totally.
- 9:08Speaker 3: Totally. Totally, we don't want to be doing that.
- 9:10Speaker 1: They're only saying that people can win something that they can't.
- 9:12Speaker 3: Can't win, yeah, that would be correct, fellas.
- 9:14Speaker 4: That's never been on the table.
- 9:15Speaker 3: That would be ridiculous.
- 9:17Speaker 1: That would be like saying, oh, we've got $ 8 million
- 9:19Speaker 1: to give away, a guy in the urinal told me,
- 9:21Speaker 1: and then it doesn't even happen.
- 9:22Speaker 3: I mean, that would be career ending. Would it? Yeah, totally, man.
- 9:25Speaker 4: Shocking bastard stuff.
- 9:27Speaker 3: But let's go to the phone lines. G'day, James, you
- 9:30Speaker 3: mad bastard. How's life?
- 9:32Speaker 5: G'day, fellas.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Very good, mate.
- 9:34Speaker 5: How are you going?
- 9:35Speaker 3: Oh, thanks, man.
- 9:36Speaker 5: Good.
- 9:36Speaker 3: Thank you for asking, James. James, what do you do
- 9:40Speaker 3: for a crust?
- 9:42Speaker 5: Yeah, well, I've changed jobs.
- 9:43Speaker 3: I'm actually a loader driver at a rescue station now. Ah,
- 9:47Speaker 3: backbone show.
- 9:48Speaker 4: How good. Is that fun, man, just going around just
- 9:52Speaker 4: dumping crap all over the place? You know what?
- 9:55Speaker 5: It's better than dropping steamers, I tell you.
- 9:57Speaker 3: Yeah. I don't know, man.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Have you ever dropped a steamer? mid-Secret Santa, James? What
- 10:03Speaker 1: was that, though, mate? Don't worry about it. Hey, what
- 10:06Speaker 1: would you rather, man, Beth, this or the NRL Grand Final?
- 10:10Speaker 4: Oh, that's a silly question.
- 10:11Speaker 5: It's the NRL Grand Final all day.
- 10:13Speaker 4: Yeah, good on you. Come on, Keezy, man.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Why did you even ask him that, Keezy? I don't
- 10:18Speaker 1: know what he's into, man. What a silly question. Hey, James,
- 10:22Speaker 1: who would you take with you if you.
- 10:23Speaker 4: Won, mate?
- 10:25Speaker 1: I'd take my mate Marty. He actually took me to
- 10:27Speaker 1: the Tigers a couple of years ago free of charge,
- 10:29Speaker 1: so I guess I'd better repay the favour.
- 10:31Speaker 4: Why should you repay him for taking you along to
- 10:33Speaker 4: see those hopeless mongrels?
- 10:35Speaker 2: I mean, we were playing them to be fair.
- 10:38Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 10:38Speaker 4: Backbone, backbone.
- 10:40Speaker 3: Good on you, James. You're in the draw. Puck Sam
- 10:42Speaker 3: will sort you out. Let's go to that mad bastard Gibbo. G'day, Gibbo.
- 10:48Speaker 3: How's life?
- 10:49Speaker 4: Hey, not bad, horse. What about you?
- 10:51Speaker 3: Horse?
- 10:52Speaker 4: Yeah, mate.
- 10:53Speaker 3: I like it.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Hey, Gibbo, where are you calling from today, man?
- 10:57Speaker 4: I'm up in Fungus, mate. Oh, yeah, man.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Beautiful day out there, is it, mate?
- 11:02Speaker 4: Oh, there's not a cloud in the sky, mate.
- 11:05Speaker 5: Palm trees are blowing gently in the breeze.
- 11:08Speaker 3: Tell me, Gibbo, what do you do for a crust?
- 11:11Speaker 4: I run a machinery business, mate. Oh, yeah, backbone. Ah, backbone.
- 11:14Speaker 4: There's backbone.
- 11:15Speaker 3: What kind of machinery are we talking here?
- 11:18Speaker 1: Excavators, rollers.
- 11:21Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, that's real backbone stuff.
- 11:22Speaker 4: The whole works burger, mate.
- 11:23Speaker 1: How good. Do you have a steamroller, Gibbo? No, no, no, no, no.
- 11:28Speaker 5: I haven't got a steam one, mate.
- 11:29Speaker 1: I haven't got a steam one. Okay, just a motorised one. Yeah, nah,
- 11:31Speaker 1: fair enough.
- 11:32Speaker 4: Oh, gee.
- 11:32Speaker 3: Now, can I guess what Gibbo's going to pick here?
- 11:36Speaker 1: Go for it.
- 11:36Speaker 3: I reckon he's going to go Bathurst. Gabbo?
- 11:41Speaker 1: Mate, I tell you what, when you're looking at a
- 11:42Speaker 1: bus ride, three hours either side of six hours racing,
- 11:46Speaker 1: that's value, isn't it?
- 11:47Speaker 4: Yeah, mate.
- 11:47Speaker 1: 100%, man.
- 11:48Speaker 4: That's it. This guy gets it. This guy gets it.
- 11:51Speaker 4: There you go.
- 11:52Speaker 1: So which one are you locking in, Gabbo? Bathurst? Is
- 11:55Speaker 1: the 8mm still on the table? The 8mm? No, it's not, mate. Sorry,
- 11:59Speaker 1: that's just been taken out. Sorry about that.
- 12:02Speaker 5: We'd better do Bathurst then.
- 12:04Speaker 3: All right, mate.
- 12:05Speaker 1: You're in the draw. Pugsnail will look after you. Gibbo, eh?
- 12:08Speaker 1: Mad bastard. Big shout out to boystrip.co.nz, sports travel made easy.
- 12:12Speaker 1: If you want to go to Bathurst or if you
- 12:13Speaker 1: want to go to the grand final, well, grand final,
- 12:15Speaker 1: to be honest, it's sold out.
- 12:17Speaker 3: Yes.
- 12:17Speaker 1: The boystrip packages, however, there are still some available for Bathurst.
- 12:20Speaker 4: The boystrip packages have sold out and so has the
- 12:24Speaker 4: grand final, Keezy, itself. The whole thing has sold out
- 12:27Speaker 4: weeks and weeks and weeks ago. It feels like we're
- 12:30Speaker 4: on track for something special here, fellas. It really does.
- 12:33Speaker 4: This is a hot ticket here.
- 12:34Speaker 3: I've got a feeling about this this year, fellas. I really,
- 12:39Speaker 3: really do.
- 12:41Speaker 1: What happened with those dudes that were outside your window,
- 12:44Speaker 1: by the way? Oh, man.
- 12:47Speaker 2: The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune
- 12:50Speaker 2: in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.
- 12:53Speaker 3: Yes indeed, REM there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show
- 12:56Speaker 3: this Wednesday afternoon. The time is 4.53. Let's talk TV.
- 13:03Speaker 3: What's on the telly with Mike Minogue.
- 13:09Speaker 4: Yeah!
- 13:10Speaker 3: That's right.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Hey fellas, today I went along to a special screening.
- 13:15Speaker 4: It was very special.
- 13:15Speaker 3: All right.
- 13:18Speaker 1: The film is called Heart of the Beast.
- 13:21Speaker 4: Okay. Starring Brad Pitt. Oh, yeah.
- 13:24Speaker 3: Now you're talking.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Oh, is that the one where he's in the forest
- 13:27Speaker 1: with a dog?
- 13:27Speaker 4: That's right. I'll give you the rundown here. After surviving
- 13:30Speaker 4: a plane crash, a former Special Forces soldier finds himself
- 13:33Speaker 4: trapped in the unforgiving Alaskan wilderness with his combat dog.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Okay.
- 13:38Speaker 4: Together they battle the elements and other animals in a
- 13:40Speaker 4: harsh landscape that would likely kill any other man or dog.
- 13:45Speaker 4: I don't think they've nailed that synopsis. that last line
- 13:48Speaker 4: there but very limited cast it's got your Brad Pitt
- 13:50Speaker 4: in it JK Simmons and a dog filmed in New
- 13:53Speaker 4: Zealand last year I'm surprised how quickly this has come
- 13:56Speaker 4: out because it was only filmed last year David Eyre
- 13:59Speaker 4: is the director he's really good he directed Fury amongst
- 14:03Speaker 4: other things maybe a Suicide Squad as well and god
- 14:08Speaker 4: it's possibly the best advertisement for New Zealand in a
- 14:11Speaker 4: film since Lord of the Rings absolutely stunning and nothing
- 14:17Speaker 4: like the beauty of Brad Pitt up against the beauty
- 14:19Speaker 4: of New Zealand.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Yes. The two just go hand in hand. Absolutely stunning.
- 14:24Speaker 4: It's an hour and 40 minutes long, which is an
- 14:26Speaker 4: instant five buzzies out of five buzzies for old Mogi.
- 14:29Speaker 4: I hate a long movie. I can't tell you what
- 14:32Speaker 4: I thought of the movie. I'm not allowed to give
- 14:33Speaker 4: it a review because there's an embargo on it. Yeah.
- 14:35Speaker 4: But I'll tell you this, I'll be going again, fellas.
- 14:37Speaker 3: Do you know, I... I often wonder if cameramen, you know,
- 14:41Speaker 3: from outside of New Zealand come to New Zealand and
- 14:43Speaker 3: just go, yeah, boy.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 14:44Speaker 3: You know what I mean? It's like a dream kind
- 14:47Speaker 3: of set up.
- 14:48Speaker 4: It is.
- 14:48Speaker 3: For, you know, your cameraman, Keezy.
- 14:51Speaker 1: What about camera women?
- 14:52Speaker 3: Or women, yes, indeed. I don't know if you know,
- 14:56Speaker 3: this is a very, very attractive and highly photographic country
- 15:00Speaker 3: we live in.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Yes. New Zealand.
- 15:02Speaker 3: New Zealand. Yeah, very nice.
- 15:04Speaker 4: I'll look into it. This movie is out on the
- 15:06Speaker 4: 24th of September. I can't go into details, as I said,
- 15:09Speaker 4: but I recommend you go.
- 15:10Speaker 3: Fellas, I watched Pat last night. And by that, I
- 15:14Speaker 3: mean just, you know, it was something to do with,
- 15:19Speaker 3: you know, family members killing each other. But it was,
- 15:22Speaker 3: you know, it was like.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Like a crime docker.
- 15:23Speaker 3: Yeah, it was like a series, actually.
- 15:25Speaker 5: Yeah, right.
- 15:26Speaker 3: And people are just dumb. Is that it? Yeah, that
- 15:28Speaker 3: was it, man.
- 15:29Speaker 1: How many buzzies?
- 15:30Speaker 4: Um.
- 15:32Speaker 3: One buzzy.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Out of five.
- 15:33Speaker 3: Out of five buzzies.
- 15:34Speaker 5: Wow.
- 15:35Speaker 3: It was lazy because we just went, oh, I don't know, man.
- 15:37Speaker 3: We'll just go with this crap. You know what I mean?
- 15:38Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 15:39Speaker 2: Easy.
- 15:39Speaker 3: I feel you, dog. I feel you.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Last night we watched the second to last episode ever
- 15:45Speaker 1: of Colin from Accounts, which is an Australian comedy. It's
- 15:48Speaker 1: on TVNZ Plus. Three seasons. Bloody good. My wife has
- 15:52Speaker 1: done the thing when she likes a TV show of
- 15:54Speaker 1: following the main cast members on Instagram.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Right.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Sure. doing a deep dive into that and then because
- 15:59Speaker 1: his husband and wife wrote the show and they play
- 16:01Speaker 1: the two main characters and then they also take turns
- 16:04Speaker 1: at writing each episode so one's written and I can
- 16:07Speaker 1: tell because one episode is written in a particular flavour
- 16:10Speaker 1: and then the next episode is very different and they're
- 16:12Speaker 1: all great it's very interesting and then she watched a
- 16:15Speaker 1: behind the scenes interview with the cast because there's only
- 16:17Speaker 1: one episode left to go and the question to them
- 16:19Speaker 1: was like if it made you filthy rich would you
- 16:22Speaker 1: make a fourth season and they both said no yeah
- 16:25Speaker 1: yeah we'll see But they're just like, we're done with this.
- 16:28Speaker 1: The expectation and the amount of time it takes for
- 16:31Speaker 1: you as a couple to work on and organise every
- 16:35Speaker 1: facet of this TV show and get it all out
- 16:37Speaker 1: and be the main characters. Well, what else are they doing?
- 16:40Speaker 1: It would be all-consuming.
- 16:42Speaker 3: Can you imagine the fights they had?
- 16:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:46Speaker 3: They would have had full-on fights.
- 16:50Speaker 4: Creative disagreements.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Well, imagine if your partner wrote a terrible episode. What
- 16:55Speaker 3: do you do then?
- 16:56Speaker 1: That's a shocker. They're all pretty good. But Patrick Bremel,
- 17:00Speaker 1: I think his name is, he was in The Devil
- 17:02Speaker 1: Wears Prada 2. Oh, yes. As her love interest.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Yes.
- 17:06Speaker 1: And got slammed by critics. Anne Hathaway's love interest. He
- 17:09Speaker 1: got slammed by critics today. Yeah, they just said he
- 17:10Speaker 1: was like a nothing character. And then he went on
- 17:12Speaker 1: Instagram and was like, oh, they cut literally everything out
- 17:15Speaker 1: of the movie that I was in.
- 17:16Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, right. Because he was so terrible.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Because he was, yeah. But he's actually super funny.
- 17:20Speaker 4: He is, he's great.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Such a great actor.
- 17:21Speaker 4: Great, it's a good show.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Colin from Accounts, TVNZ Plus. Give the whole thing a
- 17:25Speaker 1: 4.2 buzzies out of 5.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Yeah, great stuff.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Hey, after five, fellas, we've got two of the leads
- 17:31Speaker 1: from Cirque du Soleil, Alice, coming in.
- 17:32Speaker 3: Oh, how good.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter as well. Plus,
- 17:37Speaker 1: I've got some questions now that I'm a full-blown actor.
- 17:39Speaker 3: Sure, man, sure.
- 17:43Speaker 2: The Hodaki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune
- 17:46Speaker 2: in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hodaki.
- 17:48Speaker 3: Welcome back, you massive backbones. Hope your Wednesday is absolutely
- 17:52Speaker 3: going off. You're listening to The Big Show, incidentally, brought
- 17:55Speaker 3: to you by Reburger.
- 17:57Speaker 1: Craveworthy street food freshly made with Reburger.
- 17:59Speaker 4: Yum.
- 18:01Speaker 3: Yeah, yum.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Fun fact about Reburger, when you go into a Reburger store,
- 18:06Speaker 1: all the employees there are wearing hats.
- 18:08Speaker 4: That's true.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Well, they're not employees, they're family, aren't they?
- 18:11Speaker 4: No.
- 18:12Speaker 1: And the hats, you'll notice, have got the Reburger logo,
- 18:16Speaker 1: but it used to be red and yellow, and now
- 18:18Speaker 1: it's black.
- 18:18Speaker 3: Yes.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Why is that, Jase?
- 18:21Speaker 3: Well, you'll recall, fellas, there was a brief time when
- 18:24Speaker 3: Reburger weren't sponsoring us anymore, but I love their cap.
- 18:31Speaker 3: But I didn't want to be a sort of walking
- 18:32Speaker 3: advertisement for them because they were no longer our sponsor.
- 18:36Speaker 3: So I went, I love the hat and it fits
- 18:39Speaker 3: me so well. So what I'm going to do is
- 18:41Speaker 3: I'm going to black out the Reburgers symbol there so
- 18:45Speaker 3: you can't really see it. I did it with a
- 18:47Speaker 3: vivid marker.
- 18:48Speaker 1: And can I just say, you couldn't see anything.
- 18:50Speaker 3: You just couldn't see anything.
- 18:51Speaker 4: Oh, it was amazing.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Then Keezy and I were down in Dunedin, Mogi. I
- 18:54Speaker 3: don't know where you were.
- 18:55Speaker 1: I was doing a little bit of work. I was
- 18:57Speaker 1: also down there, but I was doing a bit of work.
- 18:58Speaker 3: Oh, that's right, yes.
- 18:59Speaker 5: Yes.
- 19:00Speaker 3: Doing a live show, and we were having a chat
- 19:03Speaker 3: to the fellas from Reburger. And one of them looked
- 19:05Speaker 3: at my hat and they went, Boris, and he went, oh,
- 19:08Speaker 3: is that a Reburger hat? And I said, yeah, man.
- 19:10Speaker 3: And he said, I really like it. And he noticed
- 19:13Speaker 3: that I'd coloured it all in black. So you'll notice
- 19:16Speaker 3: now the new Reburger hat is... has a black instead
- 19:22Speaker 3: of the yellow and orange and whatever it was. It's
- 19:24Speaker 3: just black now. Yes. Because Hoity J blacked it out
- 19:28Speaker 3: all that year, about a year ago, and they went,
- 19:30Speaker 3: that's cool, we're doing that.
- 19:32Speaker 4: And you had to sit down, didn't you, with Vivid
- 19:35Speaker 4: and colour in every single one of them.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Yes, I did.
- 19:37Speaker 4: Unbelievable. That's a big job, man.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Oh, man.
- 19:39Speaker 4: But such is your commitment to the Reburg.
- 19:41Speaker 3: It just kept running out all the time, the bloody Vivid,
- 19:44Speaker 3: you know what I mean?
- 19:44Speaker 4: They do.
- 19:45Speaker 3: Really annoyed me.
- 19:46Speaker 1: It was like the box for like 500 hats, wasn't it?
- 19:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I know.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Far out. Did they pay you?
- 19:51Speaker 3: Well, yes, they gave me a hat.
- 19:54Speaker 1: That's pretty good.
- 19:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I reckon. It's Arctic Monkeys.
- 19:58Speaker 2: The Hodaki Big Show. Weekdays from 4 on Radio Hodaki.
- 20:02Speaker 4: Yes, indeed.
- 20:03Speaker 3: She Hard there on the Radio Hodaki Big Show this
- 20:06Speaker 3: Wednesday afternoon. The time is 13 minutes past 5 o'clock.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Fellas, I've been talking. Over the past week about an
- 20:14Speaker 1: audition I had recently for an ad.
- 20:16Speaker 3: Yes.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Went really well. Well, I mean, I assume it did
- 20:21Speaker 1: because I got a callback.
- 20:23Speaker 3: Yeah, man.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Which is where you sort of get shortlisted and you
- 20:25Speaker 1: come back and do it again, but with a funny
- 20:26Speaker 1: wig on this time.
- 20:28Speaker 3: Yes.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Which is what happened. Yeah. And also there's a man
- 20:32Speaker 1: in the room with a camera.
- 20:34Speaker 4: Camera man.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Camera man.
- 20:35Speaker 4: Or a person.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Yeah, but this was a man.
- 20:37Speaker 4: Or a woman.
- 20:37Speaker 1: This is a man. and then the director was on
- 20:40Speaker 1: Zoom or Skype or whatever it's called on the computer
- 20:43Speaker 1: looking at me and giving me directions. I then today
- 20:48Speaker 1: got a criminal check, a criminal background check, and I
- 20:51Speaker 1: was like, well, that's got to be a good sign.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Sure.
- 20:54Speaker 4: Well, for people who don't know, you go and do
- 20:56Speaker 4: these auditions and things, and if they want you, they
- 20:58Speaker 4: then do a criminal check because they don't want you
- 21:00Speaker 4: getting on air and then somebody complaining because you've got X, Y,
- 21:04Speaker 4: and Z.
- 21:05Speaker 3: Convictions.
- 21:05Speaker 4: Convictions. Often the most specific ones is you don't want
- 21:09Speaker 4: someone doing, say, a drink driving ad who's got multiple
- 21:12Speaker 4: convictions for drink driving.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Yes. Makes sense.
- 21:14Speaker 4: I get it.
- 21:15Speaker 1: So obviously that was sweet as clean as a whistle
- 21:18Speaker 1: old Keezy. But I was just wondering because– Skeletons in
- 21:22Speaker 1: the closet there.
- 21:23Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Holy heck.
- 21:24Speaker 1: I mean, I did a test and it was fine.
- 21:27Speaker 1: But I guess the reason I want to talk to
- 21:28Speaker 1: you guys is obviously– I mean, this is like my
- 21:32Speaker 1: fourth audition– And it's quite clear that I'm going to
- 21:35Speaker 1: bag this thing. You know what I mean?
- 21:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 21:37Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 21:38Speaker 1: I was just wondering, like now that I am kind
- 21:40Speaker 1: of an actor. You know, should I, do I, for example,
- 21:46Speaker 1: this is just random, like, do I make my own
- 21:48Speaker 1: IMDB web page?
- 21:50Speaker 4: Right.
- 21:50Speaker 1: So, you know, the online movie database, whatever it's called,
- 21:54Speaker 1: so that whenever you search an actor, I come up
- 21:56Speaker 1: because I'm now an actor.
- 21:57Speaker 4: Like, did you make your own ones? You should have
- 21:59Speaker 4: yours set up now. You know, four auditions in the
- 22:03Speaker 4: last couple of years. Yeah, okay. Turn down a few.
- 22:08Speaker 4: One callback.
- 22:09Speaker 1: One callback.
- 22:09Speaker 3: Yeah, that's good, man. That's a pretty good strike rate.
- 22:11Speaker 1: One out of four.
- 22:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:13Speaker 1: 25% hit rate. Should I put, like, the TV shows,
- 22:17Speaker 1: non-acting TV shows I was part of?
- 22:19Speaker 4: I wouldn't mention the Dicks.
- 22:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I wouldn't do the shows you've done.
- 22:22Speaker 4: Or the League Lounge.
- 22:23Speaker 3: Yeah, just leave those.
- 22:24Speaker 1: So none of the ones that were cancelled?
- 22:26Speaker 3: No, no, don't put that out there.
- 22:28Speaker 1: Okay, but okay.
- 22:28Speaker 3: Good God, I mean, really, really, I'm telling you as
- 22:32Speaker 3: your agent, Don't do that.
- 22:34Speaker 4: Right, okay.
- 22:35Speaker 3: Okay.
- 22:35Speaker 1: We don't have to be so intense about it.
- 22:39Speaker 3: I want you to succeed, Keezy.
- 22:41Speaker 4: Do you?
- 22:42Speaker 3: Yeah, man.
- 22:42Speaker 1: You don't want things to come screeching to a halt. No,
- 22:46Speaker 1: you're right, Mogi. It's all about keeping this good thing
- 22:48Speaker 1: going and also aiming high. I was wondering also, Mogi,
- 22:53Speaker 1: did you fill out your own application when you won
- 22:55Speaker 1: the Actor of the Year award? Or does someone else
- 22:59Speaker 1: do that for you? Just because I feel like I should– Chris,
- 23:02Speaker 1: I was so shocked and surprised. Generally, it's the producer
- 23:06Speaker 1: that will put you forward. Okay, so I should have
- 23:08Speaker 1: an accent.
- 23:09Speaker 4: Yeah, so yeah.
- 23:10Speaker 1: I'm not sure that there is a category for– For advertorials. Yeah,
- 23:15Speaker 1: what you're doing there.
- 23:18Speaker 3: It might be sort of– yeah, nah.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Well, if it's all right, Jason, I'll probably get this
- 23:22Speaker 1: from Mike just because he's won it.
- 23:24Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 23:26Speaker 3: I actually got– I actually won an award for my acting,
- 23:32Speaker 3: but I turned it down. Oh, yeah?
- 23:33Speaker 4: What was the award?
- 23:36Speaker 3: Best Male Lead.
- 23:38Speaker 4: Right.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Tell me this was outside of school.
- 23:41Speaker 3: In a school production.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Should I put actor in my Instagram bio?
- 23:48Speaker 4: Wow. I'll just say that whenever you're coming into the
- 23:51Speaker 4: country or leaving the country, your occupation should now be actor.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Oh, when I fill out the little declaration? Yeah, the
- 23:59Speaker 1: customs form.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Yeah, actor.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Oh, that sounds cool. Or is it thespian?
- 24:04Speaker 4: Or pretender?
- 24:05Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Pretender, is that another name for it, is it?
- 24:07Speaker 4: It's another name for what you do, yeah.
- 24:09Speaker 2: The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune
- 24:13Speaker 2: in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.
- 24:15Speaker 3: Pearl Jam there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this
- 24:19Speaker 3: Wednesday evening. The time is 5.26. But listen up, New Zealand.
- 24:23Speaker 3: If you want to win yourself a double pass to
- 24:25Speaker 3: watch the Waz this weekend, give us a call right
- 24:29Speaker 3: now on 0800 Hauraki.
- 24:30Speaker 1: That's right, they're playing Saturday evening, 5pm against the Manly
- 24:35Speaker 1: Seagulls at good old Mount Smart. Time to chat footy
- 24:39Speaker 1: with me, Keezy. What are the Warriors up to? It's
- 24:44Speaker 1: Waz Wednesday, fellas.
- 24:45Speaker 5: Yeah, man.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Which is when we get a double pass to give away,
- 24:48Speaker 1: which is bloody exciting. Last home game of the season. Well,
- 24:51Speaker 1: last regular season home game of the season, Mogi. And
- 24:54Speaker 1: there's a real risk to this game that you book
- 24:56Speaker 1: tickets and then the Waz name are pretty... you know,
- 25:00Speaker 1: B team to wrestle their main guys. But they're only
- 25:02Speaker 1: resting two chaps, really. Wade Egan and also Kurt Capewell.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Yes.
- 25:06Speaker 1: Both have had a long season. Both very experienced, very crucial. However,
- 25:09Speaker 1: I was listening to old Raylene Ramsey reading.
- 25:11Speaker 4: The news there before.
- 25:12Speaker 3: Raylene, she's a backbone.
- 25:14Speaker 4: She is.
- 25:14Speaker 1: And she was saying that Aaron Clark and James Fisher
- 25:18Speaker 1: Harris said no to resting. Yes. They were like, we're playing,
- 25:22Speaker 1: which I love. Isn't that just fantastic? Yeah, that's good.
- 25:25Speaker 4: Yeah, and I think it's okay because they're going to
- 25:28Speaker 4: have a week off shortly anyway.
- 25:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:30Speaker 4: So because we're finishing the top two, you get a
- 25:32Speaker 4: week off around the semi. So good on them. And
- 25:36Speaker 4: the other thing is I think it's really important, Keezy,
- 25:38Speaker 4: and you tell me, man, what you don't want to
- 25:41Speaker 4: do is bring in two halves that have been out
- 25:42Speaker 4: for three or four weeks due to injury and have
- 25:45Speaker 4: them come back in and put them in behind a
- 25:47Speaker 4: makeshift pack that is then going backwards during the game.
- 25:50Speaker 4: So they can't get their flow on. You need them
- 25:51Speaker 4: to get their mojo back. Yeah, they need to get
- 25:54Speaker 4: their feet under the desk now.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 25:56Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah.
- 25:57Speaker 3: Or their slippers under the bed.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a saying in league. And it's like, Jase,
- 26:01Speaker 1: for example, like if we had a really big week
- 26:04Speaker 1: of radio coming up, right?
- 26:05Speaker 5: Yes.
- 26:06Speaker 1: And the week before the bosses were like, hey, do
- 26:08Speaker 1: you want the week off?
- 26:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:09Speaker 1: You know, going into this big week, we'd all say.
- 26:11Speaker 4: No, right?
- 26:12Speaker 3: No, totally, man. Totally. Not in your Nelly.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Yeah, we'd do it, right?
- 26:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I'd put my slippers under the bed, man.
- 26:19Speaker 1: I don't know if that's a saying, Jase. G'day, Dylan.
- 26:21Speaker 1: How you going, man? Oh, g'day, Keezy.
- 26:24Speaker 3: Good, mate.
- 26:24Speaker 4: Good, good, good.
- 26:25Speaker 3: Good on you, Dylan, you mad bastard. What do you
- 26:27Speaker 3: do for a crust, by the way?
- 26:29Speaker 5: Ice cream, brother.
- 26:30Speaker 3: Ice cream?
- 26:31Speaker 1: Hey, back, mate. So you're making it? You're driving a truck?
- 26:33Speaker 1: What are you doing?
- 26:35Speaker 5: Making it. Fully making it, man.
- 26:38Speaker 4: Fully making it. So you're making it from scratch, man?
- 26:40Speaker 4: Are you out back milking the cow?
- 26:43Speaker 5: From, what's it called?
- 26:44Speaker 4: From cow to plate.
- 26:46Speaker 1: From teat to plate.
- 26:47Speaker 4: Oh, nice.
- 26:47Speaker 3: How bloody good, mate. And obviously, Dylan, you're a massive
- 26:51Speaker 3: Waz fan. Oh, yeah, man.
- 26:53Speaker 5: Went to high school with old Fisher Harris there.
- 26:56Speaker 3: Oh, did you?
- 26:57Speaker 4: Where was that exactly, mate?
- 26:59Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, good, good, good.
- 27:01Speaker 3: Tell me, Dylan, who are you going to take with you?
- 27:04Speaker 5: Oh, I'll pick up my mate on the way and, yeah,
- 27:07Speaker 5: old Zane. We'll go up for the old game there, yeah.
- 27:10Speaker 4: Old Zane, oh, he's a mad dog. Well, old James
- 27:12Speaker 4: Fisher Harris there, man. Would he remember you from school, man?
- 27:15Speaker 4: Were you guys pretty tight?
- 27:17Speaker 5: Yeah, he was my bloody roommate at boarding school.
- 27:19Speaker 4: Oh, there you go. How about that? Has he got
- 27:22Speaker 4: a bit of a sense of humour on him? You
- 27:23Speaker 4: don't see him laughing very much.
- 27:25Speaker 5: Oh, he's a cracker.
- 27:26Speaker 3: Is he?
- 27:27Speaker 5: Yeah, okay.
- 27:28Speaker 4: This guy gets it.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Good on you, Diller.
- 27:30Speaker 4: Oh, hell good.
- 27:31Speaker 1: You hold the line, mate. Pugs will sort you out,
- 27:33Speaker 1: but have fun at the Waz on Saturday.
- 27:35Speaker 3: You all right?
- 27:36Speaker 5: Yeah, cheers, fellas. Thank you very much.
- 27:37Speaker 3: No worries, mate.
- 27:38Speaker 4: Good on you, man.
- 27:38Speaker 3: Have a good one. Good. Hey, coming up next, by
- 27:41Speaker 3: the way, we're going to be speaking to the stars
- 27:44Speaker 3: of Cirque, Alice, Dizzy, and Layla.
- 27:47Speaker 1: That's right. Cirque du Soleil, Alice in Wonderland, me and
- 27:49Speaker 1: Moggy went on Friday, and it was absolutely magnificent.
- 27:52Speaker 4: We loved it.
- 27:55Speaker 2: The Hodaki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune
- 27:58Speaker 2: in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hodaki.
- 28:01Speaker 3: Welcome back, you massive backbones. Hope you're surviving your hump
- 28:05Speaker 3: day okay. You're listening to The Big Show, by the way,
- 28:08Speaker 3: brought to you by Reburger.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Serving good times and good food. Dine in or take
- 28:12Speaker 1: away Reburger today.
- 28:13Speaker 3: Reburger. Yeah, man.
- 28:16Speaker 1: Yeah, man.
- 28:17Speaker 4: Hey, Jase.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Yeah, man. What are you having for dinner tonight, man?
- 28:20Speaker 3: Reburger.
- 28:21Speaker 4: Oh, here he is.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Are you?
- 28:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 28:22Speaker 1: You sure you're having Reburger?
- 28:24Speaker 3: Yeah, totally.
- 28:25Speaker 4: Totally.
- 28:25Speaker 1: Really? Because a little birdie told me that you're getting
- 28:28Speaker 1: hot pot.
- 28:29Speaker 3: No, no, no. You don't want to overdo that sort
- 28:31Speaker 3: of stuff. At heart, I'm a down-country kind of young... Oh,
- 28:37Speaker 3: not young, I suppose.
- 28:38Speaker 1: No.
- 28:39Speaker 3: Fjella. You know, I like my burgers. I love my chips.
- 28:42Speaker 3: And some days, it's just the right time.
- 28:45Speaker 1: Yeah, and today's re-burger day.
- 28:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I think so.
- 28:47Speaker 4: Right, right.
- 28:48Speaker 1: What spice level are you going to get?
- 28:49Speaker 3: Especially now that they're, you know, in the CBD.
- 28:53Speaker 4: Oh.
- 28:54Speaker 3: You know what I mean? I was very excited to
- 28:56Speaker 3: hear that.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Are you talking about the one on Key Street?
- 28:58Speaker 3: Yes, that's the one, Key. Z. Z.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Mogi, tonight?
- 29:04Speaker 4: Tonight, yes, it exists. You and I, Keezy, we're going
- 29:09Speaker 4: to be going out on a little date together, and
- 29:10Speaker 4: you were just saying to me, oh, I'm a little
- 29:12Speaker 4: bit hungus. The state that we're going on, they're going
- 29:15Speaker 4: to have food there.
- 29:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I was going to say, sure, and I'll have
- 29:18Speaker 3: hors d'oeuvres.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Canapes, yeah.
- 29:20Speaker 4: Yeah, canapes.
- 29:21Speaker 1: Canaps. To be honest, though, the issue with canapes is I'm–
- 29:26Speaker 1: I'm too, like... Much of a gut to just have.
- 29:29Speaker 3: One and sort of leave it. No, no, no. Grab
- 29:31Speaker 3: the tray and you're just like shoveling it down.
- 29:33Speaker 1: Just leave those there.
- 29:35Speaker 3: Mate, is what Kesey says. Just leave the tray.
- 29:37Speaker 1: I take the tray off him. Yeah. No, but the
- 29:40Speaker 1: issue is I can't.
- 29:40Speaker 4: You take the uniform off him and then you're going
- 29:42Speaker 4: around and just grabbing all the trays, pretending you work there,
- 29:44Speaker 4: but you take them into the toilets there, the cubicle,
- 29:47Speaker 4: and you just scoff at them.
- 29:49Speaker 1: I take them into the toilets. And then I just
- 29:51Speaker 1: dump them all on the floor in a pile and
- 29:53Speaker 1: I get down on all fours.
- 29:54Speaker 4: And look over your shoulder.
- 29:55Speaker 1: And then start eating and then Mogi comes through the
- 29:57Speaker 1: front door and I look back over my shoulder on
- 30:00Speaker 1: all fours.
- 30:00Speaker 4: And I say, thought I'd find you here.
- 30:03Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 30:03Speaker 3: With crepe all over your face.
- 30:05Speaker 4: Yeah, crepe.
- 30:07Speaker 1: Crepe. Hey, fellas, actually, you know, all jokes aside.
- 30:12Speaker 5: Yes.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Coming up next, I have to make an apology to
- 30:14Speaker 1: the listeners.
- 30:15Speaker 4: You do, man.
- 30:15Speaker 3: You do.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Because I made one of the biggest mistakes of my
- 30:18Speaker 1: career yesterday on the show.
- 30:19Speaker 4: Yeah, I know.
- 30:20Speaker 1: I feel terrible.
- 30:21Speaker 3: I wanted to just go away and, you know, slip
- 30:23Speaker 3: it under the carpet. No chance.
- 30:26Speaker 1: Under the rug. No, the carpet.
- 30:28Speaker 3: No, the carpet, man.
- 30:29Speaker 4: The rug can be moved. The carpet can't, you see. Okay.
- 30:33Speaker 3: He's smashing pumpkins.
- 30:35Speaker 2: The Hodaki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune
- 30:38Speaker 2: in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hodaki.
- 30:40Speaker 3: Lincoln Park there on the Radio Hodaki Big Show this
- 30:44Speaker 3: Wednesday evening. The time is 6.14. Over to you, Keezy.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Jase, could you please play the apology music?
- 30:50Speaker 4: Sure, man.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Nah, it's wrong.
- 30:53Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Fellas, yesterday on the show, I made a mistake, a
- 31:00Speaker 1: huge mistake. It's the worst mistake I've ever made in
- 31:03Speaker 1: my entire life.
- 31:04Speaker 3: Wow.
- 31:06Speaker 1: I mistakenly said to the audience, which is vast, I said, hey,
- 31:12Speaker 1: do you want to come down to Dunedin? Dunedin? Do
- 31:16Speaker 1: you want to come to Dunedin to the beer festival there?
- 31:18Speaker 4: That's right.
- 31:18Speaker 1: Do you want to win a prize? People called up. Oh,
- 31:22Speaker 1: 800 Hodaki.
- 31:22Speaker 4: People were keen. Yeah, it was a good prize too. Yeah,
- 31:26Speaker 4: trip for two down to the Dunedin Beer Festival. Flights, accommodation,
- 31:31Speaker 4: the whole kit and caboodle. There was only one problem,
- 31:34Speaker 4: wasn't there, Keezy? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 31:36Speaker 1: The prize didn't exist.
- 31:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:38Speaker 1: What I had mistakenly done is not read properly. and
- 31:43Speaker 1: just assume that that's what we were doing.
- 31:44Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 31:45Speaker 1: And I knew I'd made a mistake because as soon
- 31:46Speaker 1: as I said it, I looked into the B studio
- 31:48Speaker 1: and Pugs was bursting to tears.
- 31:49Speaker 3: Yeah, he was sobbing. I've never seen him like that.
- 31:52Speaker 4: We don't make mistakes like that on the big show. Wow, wow, wow.
- 31:55Speaker 3: Very real.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. Hey, and another way to look at it
- 31:58Speaker 1: is fellas, it's like, fuck, good run. Five years, zero mistakes.
- 32:02Speaker 4: Yeah, you've had a shocker though the last couple of weeks,
- 32:05Speaker 4: haven't you? There's been a real couple of weeks, a
- 32:08Speaker 4: couple of weeks for first, if I remember correctly.
- 32:11Speaker 3: Eight F-bombs, too, over the years, too.
- 32:13Speaker 4: Yeah, shocking bastard.
- 32:14Speaker 5: Eight.
- 32:16Speaker 1: But look, that might happen in the future, right? That
- 32:20Speaker 1: prize might happen in the future. Let's just say that.
- 32:22Speaker 1: For now, though. I was talking to Bogsy.
- 32:24Speaker 4: He said it definitely won't. It's off the table.
- 32:27Speaker 1: The CEO?
- 32:27Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's very involved for a CEO, isn't he? Well,
- 32:30Speaker 4: he needs to be, man, because you are all over
- 32:32Speaker 4: the show. You need a steady hand at the tiller.
- 32:36Speaker 4: You do. Yeah, yeah, yeah, right.
- 32:38Speaker 3: Otherwise, you'd just go crashing into the coral.
- 32:40Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 32:42Speaker 4: We've got to be careful, Keezy. Otherwise, next thing you know,
- 32:44Speaker 4: you'll be chucking the rugby ball around the studio, knocking
- 32:47Speaker 4: glasses of water all over the computers.
- 32:49Speaker 3: Smashing bowls.
- 32:50Speaker 4: Smashing bowls out in the kitchen, kicking the ball around willy-nilly,
- 32:53Speaker 4: acting like you've got skills. You've got none. Hey, I
- 32:55Speaker 4: cleaned those up.
- 32:55Speaker 1: We've got to be careful with you, man. I cleaned
- 32:57Speaker 1: both of those messes up.
- 32:59Speaker 4: Oh, did that actually happen? Oh, did it?
- 33:00Speaker 1: Hey, fellas, here's the prize, right? Here we go. I
- 33:07Speaker 1: think I'll have.
- 33:08Speaker 4: Myself a beer.
- 33:08Speaker 3: Big show.
- 33:11Speaker 2: The Radio Hodaki Big Show. Name our beer.
- 33:14Speaker 1: That's right. Name our beer, fellas. 2026, today in Craft
- 33:17Speaker 1: Beer and Beer Festival. They're making a beer specifically for
- 33:22Speaker 1: the festival. It is a tropical, hazy pale ale. It
- 33:25Speaker 1: needs a name. If you'd like to name it, you
- 33:27Speaker 1: give us a call right now on 0800-HODAKI. You suggest
- 33:31Speaker 1: a name.
- 33:31Speaker 5: Boom!
- 33:32Speaker 1: Free Emerson's hoodie.
- 33:34Speaker 3: Yeah, nice. Just like that.
- 33:37Speaker 5: Boom.
- 33:37Speaker 1: 0800 HODOKI. Give us a buzz right now with a
- 33:39Speaker 1: good name for that beard.
- 33:40Speaker 4: And that's free, that hoodie.
- 33:41Speaker 1: It is free.
- 33:43Speaker 3: 100% free. I tell you what, I love me a
- 33:45Speaker 3: good hoodie. You do? I love me hoodies.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Hoodie J.
- 33:49Speaker 3: Yeah, hoodie, hoodie, Jay.
- 33:50Speaker 1: You're wearing one right now, man. It rules.
- 33:52Speaker 3: Yeah, thank you. It's not an Emerson's, though, which is
- 33:55Speaker 3: a bugger.
- 33:56Speaker 1: No, you're right. Emerson's, of course, are the ones that
- 33:58Speaker 1: are making it all possible. They are, well, they've been
- 34:01Speaker 1: a big partner of the Big Show for a long time.
- 34:02Speaker 3: Yes, they have.
- 34:03Speaker 1: Don't forget, if you're keen to go to the Dunedin
- 34:05Speaker 1: Beer Festival, dunedinbeerfestival.co.nz. It's happening a little later on in
- 34:09Speaker 1: the year. We're talking Friday, November 27th, and Saturday, November
- 34:13Speaker 1: 28th at Forsyth Bar Stadium. Shapeys are playing. Shape Chef,
- 34:17Speaker 1: the Troy King in Red Fountain.
- 34:18Speaker 4: How good.
- 34:19Speaker 1: Plus more than 75 beer, food, and beverage vendors.
- 34:24Speaker 4: 100% true, Muggy.
- 34:25Speaker 1: I don't lie about this.
- 34:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know if I can trust you.
- 34:27Speaker 3: Well, let's go to the phone lines. G'day, Jordan, you
- 34:30Speaker 3: mad bastard. How's life?
- 34:31Speaker 5: Oh, I'm great, thanks.
- 34:33Speaker 3: Yeah, good, thanks, mate. What do you do for a crust, Jordan?
- 34:36Speaker 5: Oh, it's, uh, Renovation.
- 34:38Speaker 3: Oh, okay, Renovation, sweet.
- 34:40Speaker 1: What did you say, Innovation?
- 34:42Speaker 5: No, no, I said Innovation.
- 34:43Speaker 3: Oh, Innovation. Sorry. Yeah, backbone.
- 34:45Speaker 4: Yeah, good on you, man.
- 34:46Speaker 1: Backbone shit.
- 34:47Speaker 3: We need our innovators, don't we, fellas?
- 34:49Speaker 1: Actually, do you have a good innovative name for our beer, Jordan?
- 34:54Speaker 5: Oh, yeah, I might do, actually.
- 34:55Speaker 4: You might like it.
- 34:55Speaker 5: It's, uh, Keezy on all four bottles looking over his
- 34:59Speaker 5: bottle top Keezy.
- 35:00Speaker 1: LAUGHTER Jordan, that name is shit. I couldn't help myself. No,
- 35:07Speaker 1: it's good shit, Jordan. Boom, you've got yourself an Emerson's hoodie.
- 35:09Speaker 3: You all right, brother?
- 35:11Speaker 5: Oh, thank you so much for that.
- 35:12Speaker 3: No, you're welcome, man. That's a great name, actually.
- 35:15Speaker 4: Well, it's a good name for Jordan. It's Beer Jordan.
- 35:19Speaker 3: Yes.
- 35:19Speaker 4: Bear Jordan.
- 35:20Speaker 1: Bear Jordan.
- 35:20Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what he should call himself.
- 35:21Speaker 1: And it's a silhouette of him.
- 35:23Speaker 4: Yeah, that's right. Sculling a bear.
- 35:24Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just over the net there.
- 35:26Speaker 5: Yeah, good stuff.
- 35:27Speaker 1: Hey, fellas, big shout-out to Emerson's and also a big
- 35:30Speaker 1: shout-out to the Dunedin Bear Festival. Don't forget to hit
- 35:33Speaker 1: up their website, dunedinbearfestival.co.nz for tickets.
- 35:35Speaker 3: Beautiful.
- 35:36Speaker 2: The Hodaki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune
- 35:39Speaker 2: in weekdays at four on Radio Hodaki.
- 35:41Speaker 3: Yes, indeed. Faith no more there on the Hodaki Big
- 35:45Speaker 3: Show this Wednesday evening. Fellas, let's give out some advice.
- 35:50Speaker 1: PattyNibs69 at.
- 35:55Speaker 4: Gmail.com.
- 35:56Speaker 1: Get in touch with the fellas.
- 35:59Speaker 3: With the fellas.
- 36:01Speaker 1: Meet PattyNibs69 at gmail.com. Real email address. Get in touch.
- 36:05Speaker 1: It's anonymous. We give out great advice, and you get
- 36:07Speaker 1: a Reburger voucher if we read it on the show.
- 36:09Speaker 1: G'day there, fellas. Anonymous here. I've got a proper nightmare
- 36:12Speaker 1: going on at my place.
- 36:14Speaker 4: Oh, no.
- 36:15Speaker 1: Some hooded joker is rocking up to my building every
- 36:19Speaker 1: day at 4 a.m., dumping a mountain of bird seed
- 36:22Speaker 1: on the street and then gapping it before anyone can
- 36:24Speaker 1: catch him. It's been going on for ages now, and
- 36:27Speaker 1: every morning it's an absolute circus, hundreds of birds and
- 36:30Speaker 1: whatever else going feral outside my window. My car is
- 36:33Speaker 1: copping it daily. The street looks like a crime scene
- 36:36Speaker 1: and I'm running on stuff all sleep. Best part is
- 36:39Speaker 1: the keen bastard doesn't even stick around to watch the chaos,
- 36:42Speaker 1: just does the drop and bails like a proper ghost.
- 36:45Speaker 1: How do I deal with this shocking bastard, fellas?
- 36:48Speaker 4: I saw this on the news. This was on the news, Jase.
- 36:51Speaker 3: Was it?
- 36:52Speaker 4: Yes, they had a news crew that accosted the person.
- 36:56Speaker 4: I think it might have been in Australia, though, weirdly enough.
- 36:59Speaker 4: So I don't know. So, yeah, I don't know. It's
- 37:01Speaker 4: a tricky one, isn't it?
- 37:03Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 37:03Speaker 4: I'm going through it at the moment with the birds
- 37:05Speaker 4: waking me up.
- 37:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:06Speaker 4: That's with no seeds involved at all.
- 37:08Speaker 1: That's just one or two, though, isn't it?
- 37:09Speaker 4: It's just a couple of vocal bastards there.
- 37:14Speaker 3: There's a young lady in the square, Aotea Square there,
- 37:22Speaker 3: who every couple of days or so... Stands in the
- 37:26Speaker 3: middle of the square with handfuls of seed.
- 37:30Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 37:31Speaker 3: And is just.
- 37:33Speaker 4: Bird seed.
- 37:33Speaker 3: Bird seed.
- 37:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:37Speaker 3: Absolutely mobbed. And she lived by pigeons. Like, literally, there'll
- 37:43Speaker 3: be 50 pigeons on her. And she just stands there.
- 37:47Speaker 3: Loves it. And I'm like, I couldn't think of anything
- 37:50Speaker 3: more icky than being covered with flapping birds. Pecking away.
- 37:59Speaker 3: I mean, that's my nightmare.
- 38:01Speaker 1: To be fair, my old flat, we used to have chickens.
- 38:04Speaker 1: We had six chickens.
- 38:06Speaker 3: Do you used to feed the chickens?
- 38:07Speaker 1: Yeah, and I used to fill up my hand with
- 38:09Speaker 1: grain and feed the chooks.
- 38:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:12Speaker 1: And I loved it. Like, it's a really nice feeling.
- 38:15Speaker 5: Pick, pick, pick.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Yeah, it's fun. It's like you're part of nature.
- 38:18Speaker 4: You know?
- 38:19Speaker 3: I don't know about you guys. For me, they're a pest.
- 38:23Speaker 1: Birds? Yeah.
- 38:24Speaker 3: All of them? Yeah. I mean, you know how I feel.
- 38:26Speaker 3: I went through that weird phase where I was getting
- 38:29Speaker 3: attacked by birds. There were birds doing weird things in
- 38:32Speaker 3: my roof. I've got no time for birds.
- 38:35Speaker 1: So what would you do?
- 38:36Speaker 3: So I totally get what this guy is talking about.
- 38:39Speaker 1: What do we do?
- 38:40Speaker 4: What do we do, Jase? There's a guy dropping bird seed.
- 38:42Speaker 4: Have you listened to this, man?
- 38:44Speaker 3: I wouldn't leave the house.
- 38:46Speaker 1: So your solution is just to stay indoors?
- 38:48Speaker 3: Yes. Don't leave until this guy gets caught and put
- 38:54Speaker 3: away for 10 plus years.
- 38:57Speaker 4: I would, this guy comes every morning about 4 a.m.,
- 39:00Speaker 4: was it, Keezy?
- 39:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:02Speaker 4: I'd get up there, I'd set a booby trap.
- 39:04Speaker 5: Right.
- 39:05Speaker 4: You heard about that?
- 39:06Speaker 1: Like dig a hole?
- 39:07Speaker 3: No.
- 39:07Speaker 1: Put a blanket over it?
- 39:08Speaker 4: No, no, no, no, no, no. Booby trap.
- 39:11Speaker 1: Yeah. So while he's distracted, you tackle him. Oh, so someone,
- 39:16Speaker 1: one person, oh. That's a good idea.
- 39:18Speaker 4: You like that?
- 39:19Speaker 1: And then there's seed everywhere.
- 39:21Speaker 2: The Hodaki Big Show with Jace, Mike, and Keezy. Tune
- 39:24Speaker 2: in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hodaki.
- 39:26Speaker 3: Red.
- 39:27Speaker 1: Hot.
- 39:27Speaker 5: Turn.
- 39:31Speaker 3: Chili Peppers here on the Radio Hodaki Big Show this
- 39:34Speaker 3: Wednesday evening. Fellas, I've got a bone to pick. I've
- 39:38Speaker 3: got a bone to pick. Now, you'll be aware of
- 39:43Speaker 3: the fact from the past that old hoodie J doesn't
- 39:45Speaker 3: like birds very much.
- 39:47Speaker 1: When you say that, what do you mean?
- 39:48Speaker 3: Well, it's just as a kid I was attacked by them.
- 39:51Speaker 3: I got attacked by a magpie once and I think.
- 39:54Speaker 1: Picked you up and flew off, didn't it?
- 39:55Speaker 3: Yeah, it did.
- 39:56Speaker 1: You were raised in a nest as one of its own.
- 39:59Speaker 3: I was for ages. But in the end, you know,
- 40:02Speaker 3: I just had to jump out.
- 40:04Speaker 1: Was it the beak, do you reckon?
- 40:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it was the beak. Well, that was
- 40:07Speaker 3: the thing, Keith. I thought it was a massive beak.
- 40:10Speaker 1: Because you were wearing all black like you are now.
- 40:12Speaker 3: I was. And what you don't know about me, when
- 40:15Speaker 3: I was about five years old, I had this weird
- 40:17Speaker 3: grey streak in my hair. So I used to wear
- 40:19Speaker 3: black with this grey streak in my hair, and this
- 40:22Speaker 3: big magpie saw me and went, McCaw, McCaw, and picked
- 40:26Speaker 3: me up and dumped me in the nest. Far out.
- 40:29Speaker 3: But anyway.
- 40:30Speaker 4: Happens quite a lot.
- 40:31Speaker 3: This is my bugbear. Now, you'll be aware of the
- 40:34Speaker 3: fact that I live in the CBD now, old hoity J.
- 40:37Speaker 5: Mm.
- 40:41Speaker 3: And my wife and I are prone to the occasional
- 40:44Speaker 3: cafe visit, as you do when you're living in the city,
- 40:47Speaker 3: you know. It's right there on your doorstep.
- 40:49Speaker 1: I would say as you do if you live anywhere,
- 40:50Speaker 1: to be honest.
- 40:51Speaker 3: Well, not out west. There's don't really have any cafes
- 40:53Speaker 3: out west.
- 40:53Speaker 1: There's a great cafe just on the corner by my house.
- 40:56Speaker 3: I don't call a petrol station a cafe, Keezy.
- 40:59Speaker 4: Oh, okay. Well, never mind.
- 41:00Speaker 3: But anyway, so what I've noticed, and particularly in my
- 41:04Speaker 3: two favourite cafes, which I won't, you know, name, is
- 41:08Speaker 3: the amount of birds inside the cafe. Now, you'll be
- 41:13Speaker 3: sitting there, right? No, I'm prone in one of the cafes.
- 41:16Speaker 1: You're prone, so you're lying down. You're lying down.
- 41:19Speaker 3: I'm looking over my shoulder or on my hands and knees.
- 41:23Speaker 3: What I like.
- 41:23Speaker 4: That's not prone. What do you like when you're prone?
- 41:25Speaker 3: When I am, you know, ordering my favourite dish, which
- 41:29Speaker 3: is Turkish eggs, and it has a labnet. which is
- 41:33Speaker 3: like a cheesy sort of sauce, which is really good.
- 41:36Speaker 3: But there's always like a couple of pigeons flying around.
- 41:40Speaker 3: I don't know about you, but I find that massively disconcerting.
- 41:45Speaker 3: I find it unhygienic.
- 41:46Speaker 1: Pigeons, yes, they're big.
- 41:49Speaker 3: I hate the idea that I'm tucking into my Turkish
- 41:53Speaker 3: eggs and then one of the pigeons does a massive
- 41:57Speaker 3: pigeon steamer right on my Turkish eggs.
- 42:00Speaker 1: Well, that's not going to happen, though, is it?
- 42:01Speaker 3: Well, I mean, why wouldn't it happen? Is there flying
- 42:04Speaker 3: around the place? You know what I mean?
- 42:05Speaker 4: It's like, what's going on here? The bird's flying these
- 42:08Speaker 4: pigeons that you're inside.
- 42:10Speaker 3: You're inside the cafe and there'll be a pigeon bloody
- 42:13Speaker 3: hopping around.
- 42:14Speaker 4: So hopping or flying?
- 42:15Speaker 3: Well, they hop and then they fly. You know, the
- 42:18Speaker 3: last thing you want to do is order a ham
- 42:21Speaker 3: and cheese croissant and have a big splatter on it.
- 42:24Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying?
- 42:25Speaker 1: Do you find it ironic that you're in a cafe
- 42:27Speaker 1: eating eggs? From a bird?
- 42:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 42:30Speaker 1: And complaining about birds?
- 42:32Speaker 3: No.
- 42:34Speaker 4: Good.
- 42:36Speaker 3: But you know what I mean?
- 42:37Speaker 2: The Hodaki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune
- 42:40Speaker 2: in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hodaki.
- 42:44Speaker 4: Doosh, doosh, doosh.
- 42:46Speaker 3: Mochi. Well, there you go, you mad bastards. That's the
- 42:52Speaker 3: big show done and dusted for your Wednesday. And the
- 42:54Speaker 3: disclaimer today, the new name for what used to be
- 42:57Speaker 3: previously called the outro podcast. What clip have you got
- 43:01Speaker 3: for us, Keezy?
- 43:01Speaker 1: It's a clip about Jase putting and having the yips.
- 43:05Speaker 1: Did I tell you to think about hot pot?
- 43:08Speaker 3: No.
- 43:08Speaker 1: When you were putting?
- 43:09Speaker 3: I was already thinking about hot pot.
- 43:11Speaker 1: Woody J's got the yips.
- 43:12Speaker 4: Oh, have you got the yips?
- 43:13Speaker 1: He's got the putting yips.
- 43:14Speaker 4: Oh, you've had the yips, right?
- 43:15Speaker 5: I have.
- 43:16Speaker 1: Now that he's starting to really dwell on it now,
- 43:18Speaker 1: which is making it way worse. And he'll step up
- 43:22Speaker 1: to hit it and he'll say stuff like, this is
- 43:24Speaker 1: where I f * * * ed up last time.
- 43:27Speaker 1: And I'm like, Dad, of course you're going to hit
- 43:29Speaker 1: bad if you think that as soon as you go
- 43:31Speaker 1: to hit it.
- 43:32Speaker 3: Yeah, we're broken men. We're broken golfers, Mogi. But anyway,
- 43:35Speaker 3: moving on, what's your plan for the night?
- 43:37Speaker 4: Me and Keezy are going on a hot date. Can't
- 43:40Speaker 4: tell you any more than that. It's a bit of
- 43:41Speaker 4: a surprise.
- 43:42Speaker 1: Bit of an industry who's who situation.
- 43:44Speaker 4: That's right. Yeah, exactly. So looking forward to that. We
- 43:47Speaker 4: might have some information about that tomorrow, eh, Keezy? A
- 43:49Speaker 4: few yarns to tell? Yeah, how good. Mogi and Keezy
- 43:52Speaker 4: out on the town painting it red, brother.
- 43:54Speaker 3: Yeah, sounds good.
- 43:55Speaker 1: We've already got the yarn about me getting all the
- 43:57Speaker 1: hors d'oeuvres, putting it on the floor in the toilet,
- 43:59Speaker 1: and then eating it on all fours.
- 44:00Speaker 4: You're a shocking bastard. Sometimes I forget, Jase.
- 44:03Speaker 1: He's a shocking bastard.
- 44:04Speaker 3: I know.
- 44:04Speaker 1: You can't take him anywhere.
- 44:06Speaker 3: You don't need to remind me.
- 44:07Speaker 1: But you keep taking me places.
- 44:08Speaker 4: I keep doing it.
- 44:09Speaker 3: I know.
- 44:09Speaker 1: Shocking bastard.
- 44:11Speaker 4: You know, at some point, man, I've probably got to
- 44:13Speaker 4: blame myself, don't I? Yeah.
- 44:14Speaker 1: Because I keep taking them places, he keeps on doing it.
- 44:16Speaker 4: But, you know... You've just got to expect it from
- 44:20Speaker 4: the guy because it's just part of who he is.
- 44:22Speaker 3: It's who I am. It's who he is, man. Is
- 44:24Speaker 3: it his fault or.
- 44:25Speaker 4: Is it my fault?
- 44:25Speaker 1: It's probably my fault for expecting anything different. Actually, Jase,
- 44:28Speaker 1: you're having hot pot tonight. What's hot pot like eating
- 44:30Speaker 1: off the floor of a public toilet?
- 44:32Speaker 3: Yeah, really good, man. Really good.
- 44:34Speaker 1: I might try it.
- 44:36Speaker 3: I'm off. I'm going to don my skull candies.
- 44:39Speaker 4: Just sit in the restaurant with your skull candies on.
- 44:43Speaker 3: My wife will be opposite me. She'll be on her
- 44:46Speaker 3: phone probably looking at Insta.
- 44:48Speaker 1: You guys have got a great relationship.
- 44:50Speaker 3: We'll scoff it all down and then go home. I
- 44:53Speaker 3: don't know, actually. I think I might... Watch telly and
- 44:57Speaker 3: then go to bed. No, because I'm really... I'm a
- 45:00Speaker 3: bit sore after the old golf today.
- 45:02Speaker 1: Have a sauna, man.
- 45:03Speaker 3: Not a bad idea, Keezy.
- 45:05Speaker 5: He won't.
- 45:05Speaker 3: I think it might be closed, though. Actually, I should
- 45:08Speaker 3: investigate that. You should. Because I've never been quite sure.
- 45:10Speaker 1: You should investigate it, but you won't. We'll do nothing.
- 45:13Speaker 4: You'll do nothing.
- 45:14Speaker 1: Investigate it like you're a detective. Sort of detective.
- 45:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 45:18Speaker 3: Yeah, good stuff.
- 45:20Speaker 1: Okay.
- 45:20Speaker 3: Or I might just have a... You know what? I
- 45:22Speaker 3: think I'll have a bath.
- 45:23Speaker 4: No, you won't.
- 45:24Speaker 3: You don't have a bath.
- 45:25Speaker 4: You'll do nothing.
- 45:25Speaker 1: You haven't had a bath or cleaned yourself in years.
- 45:29Speaker 3: Goodbye!
- 45:29Speaker 1: See you tomorrow.
