- 0:00Speaker 1: Hi guys. By the way, this is a very This
- 0:02Speaker 1: is a meaningful moment. You ready, drum drum roll, Danel.
- 0:06Speaker 1: This is my last episode of the podcast in Los Angeles. Oh,
- 0:12Speaker 1: I have done other than my trip to England, as
- 0:15Speaker 1: you listeners may recall, I've done ever since Quarantine began,
- 0:18Speaker 1: every single episode in this very room. Wow. And now
- 0:23Speaker 1: I'm East Coast bound. I promise you I will still
- 0:25Speaker 1: bring the magic. I'm excited for you. Donald, how do
- 0:29Speaker 1: you feel about this? I show him gonna miss you.
- 0:34Speaker 1: I know I'm gonna miss you too. Donald and I
- 0:36Speaker 1: went out and saw Black Widow at Man's Chinese Theater.
- 0:41Speaker 1: We were in the theater, yeah, we had some of
- 0:45Speaker 1: us obviously been in a theater. We wore our masks
- 0:47Speaker 1: because we ain't trying to get that del to Ain't
- 0:49Speaker 1: nobody trying to get that deal to that that Delta
- 0:53Speaker 1: for real food? Yeah, that Delta doesn't. And then so
- 0:56Speaker 1: then we saw the movie, which of course was amazing,
- 0:58Speaker 1: and then we were going to go. It was also
- 0:59Speaker 1: the opening nine of the Hotel Cafe, which was where
- 1:02Speaker 1: all our friends play music and a great music venue
- 1:05Speaker 1: if you ever visited Los Angeles and uh so we
- 1:08Speaker 1: decided that we would walk from Man's Chinese to Kuwango
- 1:11Speaker 1: which by which? Which is which is a wrong choice?
- 1:18Speaker 1: No no, no, no, no, no, no no, not in this
- 1:22Speaker 1: heat Listen. I'm from New York City, born and raised
- 1:25Speaker 1: Hell's Kitchen, Hell's Kitchen, Times Square. I'm used to tourists.
- 1:30Speaker 1: I'm used to the element that it brings to that
- 1:33Speaker 1: area that you know. I'm used to it. I'm gonna
- 1:37Speaker 1: say something right now, go ahead. I went into full
- 1:41Speaker 1: bodyguard mode. Was like if Casey was a was a
- 1:48Speaker 1: politician and Donald was like her secret service agent. Dude,
- 1:53Speaker 1: if my wife was chew that night, she like she
- 1:56Speaker 1: she had on the stuff. She was looking good. She
- 2:00Speaker 1: looked like um. But anyway, No, it was a bit
- 2:03Speaker 1: of a sketchy walk. It's funny. I've lived here twenty years.
- 2:06Speaker 1: I've never walked down on Hollywood Boulevard. I've gone to
- 2:10Speaker 1: Listen Boulevard several times, and I know I've gone to
- 2:15Speaker 1: the theaters that are on a Hollywood Boulevard. I've done
- 2:18Speaker 1: the Jimmy Gimmel show that's on Hollywood Boulevard. I have
- 2:21Speaker 1: never walked down Hollywood Boulevard on a Saturday night at
- 2:26Speaker 1: prime summertime. It's intense, it's live, Yes, it is. It
- 2:30Speaker 1: was live. That's the way. That's the way to put it.
- 2:33Speaker 1: It was sincerely reminded me of New York back in
- 2:38Speaker 1: the day when I was a kid and the summertime,
- 2:41Speaker 1: you know, Friday, Saturday night time Square. I was like, Wow,
- 2:44Speaker 1: this shit is not only is it popping right now,
- 2:48Speaker 1: but there's an element of danger in the air. And
- 2:50Speaker 1: I like the smell of it, you know what I mean.
- 2:52Speaker 1: It was like, yeah, it was like it was just
- 2:54Speaker 1: like like there was a guy on so much. There
- 2:56Speaker 1: was a guy on whatever drug he was on, like
- 2:59Speaker 1: splay down on the high walk, so you have to
- 3:01Speaker 1: go around him, right, Yeah, So because he's on his
- 3:05Speaker 1: ride and uh and as we're going around, he hears
- 3:09Speaker 1: us say something. He's like, you don't know what the
- 3:11Speaker 1: fire talking about. He goes shut the fuck up, and
- 3:15Speaker 1: we were like, you don't know what I was And
- 3:19Speaker 1: I was like, Donald, do not kill him. No, I wasn't.
- 3:22Speaker 1: I wasn't gonna that's the dude that you stay away from.
- 3:25Speaker 1: What it was like, you throw a kick at that dude,
- 3:28Speaker 1: he bites you. It was a little like Zombieland yeah,
- 3:34Speaker 1: very much. Anyway, that was a very interesting, very interesting
- 3:40Speaker 1: stroll we had that night. But then, but Donald, you
- 3:43Speaker 1: love the mo more importantly, you love the movie as
- 3:45Speaker 1: a Marvel fan. I did love the movie as a
- 3:47Speaker 1: Marvel fan. I mean it's out everybody, everybody can see it. Joel,
- 3:51Speaker 1: did you like it? I loved It's so funny, like
- 3:56Speaker 1: I do not expect it to be funny at all,
- 3:58Speaker 1: and it's super is. I was worried about going back
- 4:01Speaker 1: in time. You know, sometimes I can get a little sketchy,
- 4:04Speaker 1: but I thought they pulled it off beautifully and added
- 4:06Speaker 1: elements to like feature screenings of different movies. It's good.
- 4:09Speaker 1: It's a good ride. I just you know, it's funny.
- 4:10Speaker 1: I don't watch these movies, as you know, I just
- 4:12Speaker 1: cannot believe how incredible the visual effects Donald's you remember,
- 4:15Speaker 1: I got when they when they got to the visual
- 4:17Speaker 1: effects artists, which which in the crawl I just started.
- 4:20Speaker 1: I started. I got the audience going with the round
- 4:22Speaker 1: of applause. I did, right, it started with I like,
- 4:25Speaker 1: I spread it all through Man's Chinese Theater. Because I
- 4:28Speaker 1: have to say again, as someone who hasn't seen all
- 4:30Speaker 1: of these movies, the I thought The visual effects were unbelievable.
- 4:35Speaker 1: There is not a single thing that looked fake or
- 4:37Speaker 1: green screen, and there's just giant sequences of them falling
- 4:41Speaker 1: from the sky and doing insane shit that obviously is
- 4:45Speaker 1: on green screen, and it looked flawless. It was so
- 4:48Speaker 1: good that Zach got a very special episode of Boy
- 4:52Speaker 1: Meets World slow clap going in the movie theater. That's
- 4:57Speaker 1: how mean it was. I'm talking about when when when
- 4:59Speaker 1: the artist, yeah, yeah, when the visual effects artists came up,
- 5:03Speaker 1: you got a nice special episode. Or tonight on a
- 5:07Speaker 1: very special episode of Boy Meets World, you got one
- 5:10Speaker 1: of the slow claps at the end of the episode,
- 5:13Speaker 1: you got one of those going yea where people were
- 5:15Speaker 1: at the end applauding and cheering for the special effects artists.
- 5:20Speaker 1: They deserved it, they deserved it. It was really really good.
- 5:22Speaker 1: And we got Kevin Figi was at the r screening
- 5:25Speaker 1: and he introduced the movie. That was really cool. That
- 5:28Speaker 1: was cool. It took everything in my power not to
- 5:31Speaker 1: be like, I'm Donald Faison, you're a huge fan. Yeah,
- 5:34Speaker 1: Donald was gonna bum rush him and asked for a role.
- 5:38Speaker 1: It took everything in my power not when I was
- 5:40Speaker 1: joking and he's like and and and then, so sit
- 5:42Speaker 1: back and enjoy Black Widow. Now, if, by the way,
- 5:45Speaker 1: if there's any forty seven year old African American actors
- 5:48Speaker 1: in the audience, please see me at the back. Yeah,
- 5:53Speaker 1: you know if you already said that. Oh, let's get
- 5:55Speaker 1: into it, guys. We got a very very very wacky,
- 5:58Speaker 1: very wacky funny episode. Donald counts six seven eight stories
- 6:04Speaker 1: about show. We made about a bunch of doctor nurses stories.
- 6:16Speaker 1: So get around, yeah around. I feel like I'm on
- 6:26Speaker 1: drugs in this episode. I am so hyped up. I
- 6:29Speaker 1: feel like this whole show was on drugs. I was
- 6:32Speaker 1: laughing and with I was with Bill this weekend and
- 6:35Speaker 1: we were just I was telling him how funny it
- 6:37Speaker 1: is to watch the show, and how the tone of
- 6:39Speaker 1: season five is so wacky. And I was telling you
- 6:41Speaker 1: we were talking about the ostriches and we were just
- 6:43Speaker 1: cracking up at how He's like, he'll come on and
- 6:46Speaker 1: talk about it. He's like, I don't know, I got
- 6:47Speaker 1: a little board, Ella board got a little whacky. I
- 6:50Speaker 1: told you, man, That's what I felt like at the
- 6:52Speaker 1: beginning of the season. I feel like everybody. I don't
- 6:55Speaker 1: feel like everybody was bored, but I feel like it's
- 6:57Speaker 1: not as fresh as new anymore. And now, you know,
- 7:00Speaker 1: after three years in the NBA, you're a veteran, you're
- 7:02Speaker 1: considerative vent And we were this is now five years
- 7:06Speaker 1: on NBC Primetime comedy Thursday nights. Following we were following
- 7:11Speaker 1: I'm not sure if it's friends now or if we're
- 7:13Speaker 1: following Joey, but we're like, we're like, yeah, remember that,
- 7:18Speaker 1: we're like the freaking We're a part of the Thursday
- 7:22Speaker 1: night lineup. We're officially and we're and we're pushing up
- 7:25Speaker 1: on a hundred episodes. Also, yeah, it's the hundreds. The
- 7:27Speaker 1: next one, uh is one? The next one or this one?
- 7:33Speaker 1: It's the next one? My way home? The hundred trivia
- 7:36Speaker 1: for you trivia lovers is is the Wichard of Oz
- 7:39Speaker 1: episode which I directed, which is I think one of
- 7:42Speaker 1: the best episodes, not just because I directed it. Um
- 7:45Speaker 1: And that's next, which I believe is the hundredth Yes,
- 7:48Speaker 1: And so that being said, it's like, that's a lot
- 7:51Speaker 1: of episodes. Man, that's a lot of that's a lot
- 7:54Speaker 1: of you know what I mean. We all strive to
- 7:57Speaker 1: do this as actors, to get on a television show,
- 7:59Speaker 1: if you're if you're a television actor, you want to
- 8:02Speaker 1: get on a show that does one hundred episodes. That
- 8:04Speaker 1: means you worked a lot. I means you made a
- 8:06Speaker 1: lot of money. That means you did a lot of
- 8:08Speaker 1: really good things, Like you feel really proud of the
- 8:10Speaker 1: things you something was working right. So now we've reached
- 8:13Speaker 1: that hump. We're pulling up on that hump. The motivation
- 8:17Speaker 1: has to be from someone, has to come from somewhere else,
- 8:19Speaker 1: because we're not freaking We're not as hungry as we
- 8:22Speaker 1: used to be, for sure at this point. But I
- 8:24Speaker 1: look like I mean, we look like we're having fun.
- 8:26Speaker 1: I mean, I'm sure. All I'm saying is, though, I'm
- 8:28Speaker 1: so if you watch me in this episode, I don't
- 8:31Speaker 1: know what's going on in my I'm I'm on level
- 8:34Speaker 1: ten every single scene. Now. I know part of the
- 8:37Speaker 1: plot is that I'm I'm so happy because I feel
- 8:40Speaker 1: like I'm Cox's pier and I'm trying to out Cox
- 8:43Speaker 1: Cox and be mister confident. But I'm just I think
- 8:47Speaker 1: I'm particularly fucking hyped up and wacky in this episode.
- 8:52Speaker 1: What's Up? I totally agree with you. I think the
- 8:54Speaker 1: whole show is, but I Okay, so let's start from
- 8:56Speaker 1: the beginning. You're on a mini scooter, right, Yes, yes,
- 9:00Speaker 1: Sasha's in the shop. What's Sasha in the shop for?
- 9:05Speaker 1: What is Sasha in the shop for? I forgot what
- 9:07Speaker 1: happened to Sasha, but she's down for the count. Now
- 9:10Speaker 1: this is the time, if you guys recall whatever year
- 9:13Speaker 1: this was, two thousand and two thousand and six, Um,
- 9:20Speaker 1: it's when all these little electric things came out, little
- 9:23Speaker 1: scooters and little go carts and little everything. And we
- 9:26Speaker 1: had them, and we had them all. We had them
- 9:28Speaker 1: everywhere at the hospital and we would like ride them around.
- 9:31Speaker 1: It was so fun. We would lie, we would ride
- 9:34Speaker 1: them around the as we told you, our our our,
- 9:36Speaker 1: our dressing rooms, in the production office. We're all on
- 9:38Speaker 1: the third floor of the hospital. So we'd fly around
- 9:41Speaker 1: the fucking whole third floor of the hospital on them.
- 9:45Speaker 1: And uh and I'm sure that's where Bill got Dadda
- 9:48Speaker 1: to put this tiny little thing in the show. We
- 9:50Speaker 1: were literally like hamsters in the cage man, And that
- 9:53Speaker 1: was our and that was our track. That's a good analogy.
- 9:56Speaker 1: That's a good analogy. That was our that was our
- 9:57Speaker 1: spinning wheel. And and we had no thing to do.
- 10:00Speaker 1: There was so much downtime. Donald played a lot of
- 10:03Speaker 1: Grand Theft, aught on a lot of GTA Miami. That
- 10:06Speaker 1: was what Miami. The Miami one was out finish that. Yeah,
- 10:12Speaker 1: Donald was down. Should get Donald could get lost in
- 10:14Speaker 1: a video game like so many can. I probably should have.
- 10:17Speaker 1: I did play some Hitman, but then I was just like,
- 10:20Speaker 1: I was just like, I was like, like he said,
- 10:22Speaker 1: a hamster on a fucking wheel. So we would just
- 10:24Speaker 1: find wacky shit to do, like like have a scooter
- 10:26Speaker 1: races around in the hospital. Yea, yeah, so that tiny
- 10:30Speaker 1: motorcycle got worked in. I thought that was funny. I
- 10:32Speaker 1: ride it through the bushes with a Classic and then
- 10:37Speaker 1: I'm carrying it through the hospital. That's how small it is, right,
- 10:40Speaker 1: But I don't know, just this is what I don't understand.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Because he has a mini bike. The ladies love him.
- 10:46Speaker 1: He's feeling himself because he thinks but that was fantasy. No,
- 10:51Speaker 1: but he thinks that that ride is a lot hotter
- 10:54Speaker 1: than it is. He thinks it's a turn on. He's
- 10:56Speaker 1: like sitting on the counter. The ladies are all gathered
- 10:58Speaker 1: around him, the nurses, and he's like, yeah, you know,
- 11:01Speaker 1: it's uh you know, I don't know what I say,
- 11:03Speaker 1: but something bragging about the hog. Yeah, I know, but
- 11:07Speaker 1: I'm just saying, like, weren't we just at a point
- 11:10Speaker 1: where jad was lonely and I think he is still lonely.
- 11:14Speaker 1: He's just he could have had any one of those
- 11:16Speaker 1: nurses at that point, of course. Yeah, I don't know
- 11:19Speaker 1: if he could have them. They're just they're just they're
- 11:20Speaker 1: just they're like listening to his tales of wiping out
- 11:23Speaker 1: on his mini scooters. By the way, I like the
- 11:27Speaker 1: shot Victor Nelly directed this of going through the going
- 11:30Speaker 1: through the ceiling and the floor and showing the rat inside.
- 11:34Speaker 1: That was cool. Yeah, this is Victor Nelly. And Kevin
- 11:38Speaker 1: Beagle wrote, um, now let's talk about the Todd. You
- 11:43Speaker 1: can see his shaft bouncing. What when the Todd finds
- 11:50Speaker 1: the janitor in on the in the in the stolen
- 11:53Speaker 1: therapeutic bath on the roofs okay, Todd comes in to
- 11:57Speaker 1: find the janitor has put a no banana hammocks on
- 12:00Speaker 1: the bath, right, and as Todd comes in, you can
- 12:04Speaker 1: see his shaft as he walks sort of bounce against
- 12:08Speaker 1: his banana hammock. And then the sun hits it. And
- 12:10Speaker 1: it sort of glimmers what I went back and watched again.
- 12:14Speaker 1: It bounces, it like an elephant's trunk. It bounces. Oh
- 12:19Speaker 1: my gosh, I'm just telling you. I just couldn't believe
- 12:22Speaker 1: that this was on NBC because it's very, very revealing.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Speaking of very revealing moments, I'm playing a lot of tennis. Now,
- 12:34Speaker 1: what does that have to do with anything? Ahead I've
- 12:36Speaker 1: gotten back into it. No banana hammocks on a tennis court, though, Yeah,
- 12:39Speaker 1: don't rock a banana hammock on the tennis court. You
- 12:41Speaker 1: gotta get into pickleball. I played like twice and I
- 12:43Speaker 1: love it. What does pickleball, dude, I don't understand it.
- 12:47Speaker 1: M It's like small tennis basically, but you play with
- 12:49Speaker 1: the whiffleball and you play with paddles instead of a racket,
- 12:52Speaker 1: and you'd be so amazing at it because it's kind
- 12:54Speaker 1: of like ping pong meets tennis. You can put so
- 12:56Speaker 1: much spin on the ball, and you play doubles because
- 13:00Speaker 1: that's well, you don't have to, but most people play doubles,
- 13:02Speaker 1: and it's kind of like you're standing on the ping
- 13:04Speaker 1: pong table, you know, obviously, but a bigger scale and
- 13:07Speaker 1: it's really fast. It's all about volleying and it's fun.
- 13:11Speaker 1: You'd love it. I play with Bill and he's obviously
- 13:13Speaker 1: really really good gets spending a lot of time together. Huh. Well,
- 13:17Speaker 1: I love him and I'm leaving and I love you,
- 13:21Speaker 1: and that's why I spent time with you, because I'm
- 13:22Speaker 1: trying to get in. I'm trying to get in on
- 13:24Speaker 1: my all my savors. How long are you going to
- 13:25Speaker 1: be gone? For? Um? A long time. I'm gonna be gone.
- 13:30Speaker 1: I'm going in with Atlanta briefly to do a part
- 13:32Speaker 1: in a movie with Berlandi's producing and the actor's Cole Sprouse,
- 13:41Speaker 1: a popular, nice seeming actor. I've never met him before.
- 13:45Speaker 1: I'm going to meet him on Wednesday, and then I'm
- 13:48Speaker 1: going you guys have Phil Lewis in common? Yes, we'll
- 13:51Speaker 1: talk about whoileis UM and then um and then I'm
- 13:54Speaker 1: going to New York to prep um, you know, my film,
- 13:57Speaker 1: and then eventually shoot my film. So I'm gonna be
- 13:59Speaker 1: there until probably December, so the rest of the year, yeah,
- 14:02Speaker 1: pretty much. So I just want you to save her.
- 14:05Speaker 1: I need you to save her. I'm trying to save her.
- 14:07Speaker 1: But you're spending all your time with Bill Lawrence. Well,
- 14:10Speaker 1: don't be jealous. I went to the movies with you.
- 14:12Speaker 1: We had our sketchy walked down together, sat in the dark. Okay,
- 14:16Speaker 1: we sat in the dark and then we walked out here.
- 14:18Speaker 1: You didn't shot. You didn't offer me one sour pitch patch. Kid.
- 14:21Speaker 1: I thought Trona died. You got a six pack? You
- 14:23Speaker 1: got six pack abs right. I didn't want one. I
- 14:26Speaker 1: just wanted to be offered one. Oh, next time, Okay,
- 14:32Speaker 1: So TODs. So Todd's balls are bouncing. It's on his balls.
- 14:36Speaker 1: You can see that the shaft is just gently lifting
- 14:38Speaker 1: as as as he's walking. I noticed that. You'll all
- 14:41Speaker 1: want to go back and watch. And he's and he
- 14:43Speaker 1: says to the janitor, can I He's like, can I
- 14:45Speaker 1: get in? And he says, if you get in here,
- 14:47Speaker 1: I'm gonna hang you by that banana hammock. Yeah, atomic
- 14:50Speaker 1: weggie right off the side of this roof. Yes. And
- 14:54Speaker 1: then the janitor uses a mirror to blind me so
- 14:56Speaker 1: that I crashed the scooter right, and um, yes, I'm
- 15:01Speaker 1: bragging to the nurses and I say I'm a lifetime
- 15:04Speaker 1: member of the Danger Club, and um, they're impressed. And
- 15:08Speaker 1: then I throw away my scooter. And then um, then
- 15:11Speaker 1: we do this sequence of where we talk about pain
- 15:14Speaker 1: tolerance and Beard Fusse is pulling a hook out of
- 15:17Speaker 1: a S and M guy's face. Yes, what does he
- 15:22Speaker 1: do at this hospital? I don't know. I thought we
- 15:24Speaker 1: settled on him being either a pharmacist or a There
- 15:29Speaker 1: was talk that he's an anesthesiologist maybe, but why would
- 15:32Speaker 1: an anesthesiologist be pulling a hook? I think it's safe
- 15:36Speaker 1: to say. I think if you ask Bill, we don't
- 15:38Speaker 1: need to ask Bill, because I can tell you Bill
- 15:39Speaker 1: would say there is I have no idea what he does.
- 15:42Speaker 1: But the point is is that he's just a generic
- 15:45Speaker 1: doctor at the hospital. We know that he does like
- 15:49Speaker 1: to spend his downtime in the pharmacy, because he is
- 15:52Speaker 1: often in the pharmacy. The pharmacy and um and but no,
- 15:57Speaker 1: in this episode, he is removing a hook from a
- 16:01Speaker 1: I guess, I uh, what do you call that, Joel?
- 16:04Speaker 1: What do you call that? Someone who is in leathers
- 16:07Speaker 1: and likes needles in their face? They remember the BDSM community. Yes,
- 16:11Speaker 1: he's a member of them, stand for Bondage and Submission
- 16:18Speaker 1: b d S and he's into b d S M
- 16:21Speaker 1: and uh, but he's gone too far obviously because he's
- 16:24Speaker 1: in the hospital with a hook in his face and
- 16:25Speaker 1: as Beard FAA is trying to remove it, but he's
- 16:28Speaker 1: steaming in agony in pleasure. Oh yeah, what does he say?
- 16:33Speaker 1: He's like, oh, oh, I forget what he says at
- 16:37Speaker 1: the end of it, but it's definitely that of yes, don't.
- 16:43Speaker 1: We don't really learn if he's completing his what he
- 16:46Speaker 1: began at home or not, but we can assume he
- 16:49Speaker 1: might be um. And then we see Todd's atomic lea wait, no,
- 16:52Speaker 1: we don't. We go to the face chart and the
- 16:56Speaker 1: guy with the face first, the patient match is the
- 17:00Speaker 1: face chart perfectly, which I laughed out loud at. Yeah,
- 17:04Speaker 1: that was funny. And then Todd jumps and then Todd
- 17:06Speaker 1: we see the atomic weggie, which is way too big.
- 17:10Speaker 1: First of all, it's way too how how first of all,
- 17:15Speaker 1: not just his underwear? How wide does the janitor's reach
- 17:19Speaker 1: have to be to be able to to be able
- 17:23Speaker 1: to have a wedgie that wide hanging? It's literally it's
- 17:28Speaker 1: literally his whole body plus some So the janitor's reach
- 17:32Speaker 1: has to be that of a crane pretty much. I
- 17:36Speaker 1: don't know, but all I know is that the underwear
- 17:38Speaker 1: itself would be like that would be like, no, it
- 17:42Speaker 1: would be enormous. It would be like the biggest fucking
- 17:44Speaker 1: pair of underwear ever. But I laughed how loud. It
- 17:47Speaker 1: was so fucking funny. And then he hits the glass.
- 17:48Speaker 1: That was fun and I and for some reason, I
- 17:53Speaker 1: remember this episode. Maybe it's because of the Indiana Jones spot,
- 17:57Speaker 1: but I remember this episode. And I remember Todd laughing,
- 18:00Speaker 1: well like screaming, but actually laughing. Anytime he was naked.
- 18:05Speaker 1: He was giggling. He thought it was so funny. I
- 18:08Speaker 1: think he's a bit of an exhibitionist rob because by
- 18:11Speaker 1: the way that ething we did aired, and I didn't
- 18:13Speaker 1: hear anybody talk about it. I don't know if anyone
- 18:15Speaker 1: saw it. I didn't. I didn't see it either. I
- 18:18Speaker 1: had no idea. Did you guys know that you're in it?
- 18:21Speaker 1: That's crazy. You have cameo, Joel, you have a well
- 18:24Speaker 1: I don't know if you see Daniel in the booth,
- 18:25Speaker 1: but Joel, you have a cameo. That's very I'll tell
- 18:29Speaker 1: my mother. She was so excited. Yeah, tell your mom.
- 18:32Speaker 1: I think your mom slid into my DMS. Stop it. No,
- 18:36Speaker 1: did she she is on Instagram. She does she does
- 18:41Speaker 1: comment some time. Oh lord, I want you to know
- 18:43Speaker 1: that it went down in the MS. Boy, No, it's
- 18:48Speaker 1: very sweet. I think it was something like thank you
- 18:50Speaker 1: for being so wonderful to my daughter. That sounds like, yeah,
- 18:54Speaker 1: she was very sweet. I don't have to talk to
- 18:56Speaker 1: her about it. I don't know if it was her
- 18:57Speaker 1: or someone pretending to be her. Um, I'm gonna ask her.
- 19:01Speaker 1: I don't her I was I was scrolling. Um. Now
- 19:06Speaker 1: JD gets his ass kicked by a kid, his neighbor,
- 19:11Speaker 1: Eliot's neighbor, a six year old kid, beach Ja. Yes, yeah, yeah,
- 19:17Speaker 1: one time only he's not gonna do what happened when
- 19:19Speaker 1: the last time that he fucked up the scooter he
- 19:21Speaker 1: beat me up. Yeah right, it's it's now this whole rant.
- 19:25Speaker 1: I'm trying to be coxed in the ICU, right, I'm like,
- 19:30Speaker 1: is this your second one or your third one that
- 19:32Speaker 1: you've had. I don't know, because it feels like you
- 19:35Speaker 1: have a lot of long mono monologues. Yeah, there's a
- 19:37Speaker 1: lot of monologues, like Boston around my interns and telling
- 19:40Speaker 1: him what to do. I'm trying to I'm so want
- 19:41Speaker 1: to be cocks but um, I this once again I
- 19:44Speaker 1: fall flat on my face. It's you know, these episodes
- 19:47Speaker 1: about him teaching me a big lesson, um about not
- 19:51Speaker 1: to give up on a patient before they're ready to
- 19:54Speaker 1: give up themselves. Now, Gary Busey, Sarah, Sarah Elliott gets
- 19:59Speaker 1: mistaken for Gary Busey, and there's a really random Gary
- 20:03Speaker 1: Busey cameo and Gary Busey exits the nurses station and
- 20:09Speaker 1: you say, bye, Elliott. Yeah, I didn't. I This is
- 20:14Speaker 1: another thing. This is where I'm like, I don't get this,
- 20:16Speaker 1: Like this is like this is part of the show,
- 20:18Speaker 1: but it's hell yeah if you're a stoner. Even a
- 20:26Speaker 1: stoner would be like, I don't understand this, man, What
- 20:28Speaker 1: didn't you understand? What the fuck is Gary Busey doing
- 20:31Speaker 1: hanging out the hospital, dude? And it's not a freaking
- 20:33Speaker 1: and it's not a freaking fantasy man. In the world
- 20:36Speaker 1: of scrubs, Gary Busey is a doctor. No, a guy
- 20:40Speaker 1: who looks a lot like Gary Busey. Nobody, Nobody, nobody,
- 20:46Speaker 1: I think again. I think Bill was like how funny
- 20:48Speaker 1: would it be? First of all, I wonder if Sarah
- 20:50Speaker 1: was offended by being told she looked like Gary um
- 20:56Speaker 1: because no offense to Gary Busey. It's not really a
- 20:58Speaker 1: complement a woman would want to hear. I don't say,
- 21:01Speaker 1: Joel No. Yeah so, but it was random. I think
- 21:07Speaker 1: he comes back again on his on his U I
- 21:11Speaker 1: saw and scrubs wiki on his name tag his picture
- 21:15Speaker 1: is Sarah. No. The people in the name tag and
- 21:19Speaker 1: the people in the name tag office also were confused.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Yeah so as somebody who smokes jazz cabbage every now
- 21:28Speaker 1: and then. This did not make sense to me. This
- 21:30Speaker 1: all of a sudden, like this this episode. As as
- 21:33Speaker 1: much as I laughed at this episode, this episode seems
- 21:35Speaker 1: like you know, and it has some really grounding moments
- 21:39Speaker 1: between j D and Cox, but everything around it other
- 21:43Speaker 1: than that is like what the heck? Like everything, doctor Acula.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Maybe you're rushing through alight, We're gonna take a break
- 21:51Speaker 1: and we'll be right back. Yes, it is a very
- 22:00Speaker 1: donory episode. If you like jazz cabbage, this is a
- 22:03Speaker 1: good one for you. This is crazy, dude, I go
- 22:06Speaker 1: up somebody's butt and find a golden colon as Indiana Jones.
- 22:11Speaker 1: Now you must have loved this because you this was,
- 22:13Speaker 1: first of all, a very funny, big fantasy. They clearly
- 22:17Speaker 1: built the inside of a colon as a set. And
- 22:20Speaker 1: you love Indiana Jones, So was this a big moment
- 22:23Speaker 1: for you? I tried to do my best Indiana Jones walk.
- 22:26Speaker 1: I tried to do everything that I could to pay
- 22:30Speaker 1: homage to one of my favorite characters in cinema history. Well,
- 22:36Speaker 1: I think you did a really great job. Now you
- 22:39Speaker 1: you there's some clear references to Indiana Jones, right, instead
- 22:44Speaker 1: of you go colon, why didn't have to be the colon? Right?
- 22:47Speaker 1: Instead of snakes? Why didn't have to be snakes? Right?
- 22:49Speaker 1: And then they did a good job with those arrows
- 22:53Speaker 1: that looked good. Ye have special effects department, Yeah, that
- 22:56Speaker 1: was all effects, But I mean, for it looks good.
- 22:59Speaker 1: And then you place the tumor with a bag of sand.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Sand is that what it is in the movie? It
- 23:07Speaker 1: is in the movie. It's a bag of sand. And
- 23:09Speaker 1: he tries to weigh the sand to match the ambulet
- 23:13Speaker 1: and not the ambulet the idol. And then you come
- 23:15Speaker 1: out and then the nurses have arrows in them and
- 23:18Speaker 1: you say something like they knew the risk, something like
- 23:20Speaker 1: they knew that Indiana Jones too. No, that's not Okay, Joel,
- 23:25Speaker 1: Are you a big Indiana Jones fan like Donald? Oh?
- 23:27Speaker 1: Hell yeah, I mean all the Okay, can I can?
- 23:32Speaker 1: I can? I can? I ask you a question? Are
- 23:35Speaker 1: you Are you saying that the fourth one doesn't count?
- 23:38Speaker 1: What fourth one? Oh? Very good? People feel about this? Is?
- 23:42Speaker 1: This is what I was going to ask you, because
- 23:45Speaker 1: and and you write about that too. A lot of
- 23:47Speaker 1: people pretend that the sea the ninth season of Scrubs
- 23:49Speaker 1: doesn't exist. Are you excited for Indiana Jones the next one?
- 23:56Speaker 1: Am I excited for the next one? Yes, Joel? Uh, well,
- 24:00Speaker 1: we'll see how I'm gonna see it. You know obviously
- 24:02Speaker 1: all the franchise properties. Am I excited for it? No?
- 24:05Speaker 1: I mean, I'll have like a countdown going, and I'm
- 24:07Speaker 1: not checking for new trailers. But it's like I imagine
- 24:11Speaker 1: when Charles Bronson was getting old as fun, people were like,
- 24:14Speaker 1: I just don't know if I could go see this
- 24:15Speaker 1: movie anymore, you know what I mean? Not that Harrison
- 24:18Speaker 1: Ford as old as fuck, but like he's getting up
- 24:20Speaker 1: there in age now, you know what I mean. Yeah,
- 24:23Speaker 1: I don't know if I can buy him freaking beating
- 24:25Speaker 1: the crap out of twenty five year old not see men,
- 24:30Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Like it's like, yeah, and
- 24:32Speaker 1: they haven't aged up the storyline at all either, Like
- 24:35Speaker 1: a forty five year old like anthropologist is doing much
- 24:39Speaker 1: different things than a seventy year old anthropologist, Like if
- 24:42Speaker 1: you're in the field, what does that look like? And
- 24:44Speaker 1: how does it change? And are you you know he's
- 24:46Speaker 1: a teacher, Like, there's so many opportunities, I think, for
- 24:48Speaker 1: different storylines that make sense, that keep that classic cinema
- 24:52Speaker 1: style that sort of made the original three so successful.
- 24:55Speaker 1: So oh, I don't know know who's directing it actually
- 24:59Speaker 1: mean it out, but him going to war against a
- 25:02Speaker 1: bunch of freaking people and fisticuffs and all of that shit.
- 25:05Speaker 1: It just I can't buy that. I'm sorry. I loved
- 25:08Speaker 1: the movies, you know, I love the suspended reality of
- 25:15Speaker 1: movies and everything like that, But that's some bullshit. Dude,
- 25:17Speaker 1: Come on, man, Oh, well, you know what, James Mangold,
- 25:20Speaker 1: who wrote Logan, is doing it. And I love Logan
- 25:24Speaker 1: and he did an older Logan, so maybe yeah. But
- 25:28Speaker 1: Logan's also a superhero, you know what I mean. That's
- 25:31Speaker 1: the one thing that you could the dude has super
- 25:34Speaker 1: strength and healing. If you removed at the superhero elements
- 25:37Speaker 1: from that movie, it would still be bombed. It's still
- 25:39Speaker 1: be so good. Well, he'd be dead in the first
- 25:41Speaker 1: five minutes of the moment too. If he survived the shooting,
- 25:44Speaker 1: it still here, So JD doesn't know that Arnold Palmer
- 25:49Speaker 1: is a golfer. That was really funny. I think that
- 25:51Speaker 1: was weird to me. That was also right hating on
- 25:54Speaker 1: this episode because it just was out of control. Man,
- 25:57Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I'm not hating on it. I just thought
- 25:59Speaker 1: this episode was out of you. I love the show Scrubs.
- 26:04Speaker 1: I love the music, I love I love I love
- 26:06Speaker 1: the actors, I love the character. Well, I thought it
- 26:09Speaker 1: was very funny when I say, he going, I'm talking
- 26:12Speaker 1: to him about the Arnold Palmer drink and then he
- 26:15Speaker 1: says Arnlod Palmer's a golfer, and I go, I'm sure
- 26:17Speaker 1: he has a lot of hobbies. Perry the man's a
- 26:19Speaker 1: drink mugul. Now this part of the show I did
- 26:24Speaker 1: laugh at and was like, this is this is the
- 26:27Speaker 1: most scrubs out of everything. Everybody's around outside in the
- 26:31Speaker 1: parking lot and Kelso goes, hold on, wait a minute,
- 26:37Speaker 1: take a look around bleacher ladder bucket of combs. She's
- 26:44Speaker 1: trying to take the picture, run and everybody runs, and
- 26:49Speaker 1: everyone had been lured out to the parking lot being
- 26:52Speaker 1: promised different things. Yes, and uh and Todd had thought
- 26:57Speaker 1: there was a booby touching booth by the way, we
- 27:01Speaker 1: skipped it. But the pictures of the of the other
- 27:05Speaker 1: years where Carla has tried to get everyone together were
- 27:08Speaker 1: so funny. It todds in everyone in a bananamic and
- 27:12Speaker 1: like the first year there's like three people, second years
- 27:14Speaker 1: is like two people, and then the last one is
- 27:16Speaker 1: just him and Carlo. Yeah, the crew photo that has
- 27:19Speaker 1: taken both at this point, the janitor ruins with his mirror,
- 27:23Speaker 1: and the one at the end is all our crew.
- 27:26Speaker 1: That's our actual crew, and that's not everybody. It gets
- 27:31Speaker 1: a sense of how many people worked on the show.
- 27:32Speaker 1: That's that's not even everybody, but that's as many people
- 27:34Speaker 1: as were available that day to come be in the picture. Um.
- 27:38Speaker 1: And at the end you'll notice that Bill is in
- 27:40Speaker 1: it twice, so I'm sure on purpose knowing him. So
- 27:44Speaker 1: there's a close up, um, and you see Bill in
- 27:47Speaker 1: the background, and then it pops wide to show everyone
- 27:50Speaker 1: and that and that he's lying. He's lying in front
- 27:53Speaker 1: um like Waldo. Worst looked for Bill. But um, you
- 27:56Speaker 1: know what I want to say something also, Buddy, because
- 27:59Speaker 1: I have been shitting on this episode, but I also
- 28:02Speaker 1: wrote in my notes, you know Zb's on fire this year.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Oh well, there we go, finally you have some You
- 28:10Speaker 1: literally are on fire this year. You have a rhythm going,
- 28:13Speaker 1: You're very h you're very funny, and you're very charming.
- 28:17Speaker 1: The thing that we didn't talk about is the bucket
- 28:20Speaker 1: that sorry, the nurses basket and Jad taking a bite
- 28:24Speaker 1: out of everything. Yeah, that was very very very very funny. Yea.
- 28:28Speaker 1: And right after that, right after the last one happened
- 28:31Speaker 1: where you I guess it's the fruit. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 28:35Speaker 1: And you're like, whatever type of fruit that was that?
- 28:38Speaker 1: You just say? I wrote ZB is on fire this year?
- 28:41Speaker 1: You were Is this the first year you got nominated?
- 28:45Speaker 1: I don't know about that, but I definitely I feel
- 28:48Speaker 1: that I'm extra silly this year. I look like I'm
- 28:50Speaker 1: really happy to be there, not that I ever wasn't.
- 28:53Speaker 1: I just mean, like, I don't know some seasons I
- 28:57Speaker 1: agree with you. I had I just see an extra
- 28:59Speaker 1: pep in my step. Better for worse. Maybe sometimes it
- 29:01Speaker 1: was too much, but I just look like I'm all
- 29:03Speaker 1: fucking stoked to be there, and I'm I know, I
- 29:06Speaker 1: improv like a crazy person on this episode, a lot
- 29:09Speaker 1: of this wacky shit. Bill and I and you were
- 29:11Speaker 1: all just making up at the time. Now, so this
- 29:14Speaker 1: was I don't think anyone ever thought Doctor Acula was
- 29:16Speaker 1: going to become so popular. This was the very first
- 29:18Speaker 1: mention of vampire Doctors and someone says vampire doctors, and
- 29:23Speaker 1: I go, how did you know about my screenplay? And
- 29:27Speaker 1: then the fans, as we all know now, thought that
- 29:30Speaker 1: was so funny, And to this day it's one of
- 29:32Speaker 1: the most referenced things that ever comes up in my life.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Regarding Scrubs. People are like, when are you and Donald
- 29:37Speaker 1: making Doctor Acula? I really think we should make it,
- 29:40Speaker 1: but make it a animated cartoon or animated stop motion
- 29:46Speaker 1: animated movie and we do the voices of the That's
- 29:51Speaker 1: a great idea, you know. You know people always ask
- 29:54Speaker 1: us to do about doing some sort of Scrubs thing now,
- 29:57Speaker 1: and you know it would be the easiest thing, not
- 30:00Speaker 1: easiest in terms of getting it made, but the easiest
- 30:03Speaker 1: would be an animated thing. Yeah, an animated series, right
- 30:06Speaker 1: because everyone everyone would of course lend their voice and
- 30:09Speaker 1: I don't know who the fuck's going to write it,
- 30:10Speaker 1: but I mean like, it wouldn't have we wouldn't have
- 30:12Speaker 1: to all figure out schedules and how to get it together.
- 30:15Speaker 1: But that would be that would be cool, Like, well, yeah,
- 30:17Speaker 1: it would be dope. Like think about it. There's Clone High,
- 30:19Speaker 1: there's what name was. I mean back in the day
- 30:22Speaker 1: when we were kids, sitcoms did actually become cartoons on Saturday.
- 30:27Speaker 1: Like there was Punky Brewster, there was Steve Berkel, there
- 30:31Speaker 1: was a bunch of those. It would be really cool
- 30:34Speaker 1: actually for Scrubs to become a sitcom animated show. I personally,
- 30:39Speaker 1: you know, me and you all who listened to the podcast,
- 30:44Speaker 1: note that I would prefer to be stop motion. I
- 30:45Speaker 1: think that would be a really cool, right, But it
- 30:47Speaker 1: isn't that so much more expensive to do stop motion? No,
- 30:50Speaker 1: not necessarily, it's all It all costs money, no matter
- 30:53Speaker 1: how you look at it. It all takes right. But
- 30:54Speaker 1: I'm saying, compared to two D animation, um, isn't stop
- 31:01Speaker 1: motion a lot more expensive to make? I don't know
- 31:07Speaker 1: the answer to that, to be honest with you, you
- 31:08Speaker 1: might because you're so into the well, I don't. I mean,
- 31:11Speaker 1: I don't know how much. I don't know how much RYA.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Those are all two D animated shows, I mean movies
- 31:20Speaker 1: and stuff like that, and I imagine that, you know,
- 31:23Speaker 1: having animator's period, paying animators long hours, it still takes
- 31:28Speaker 1: years to make. I don't know. I can't answer that question. Well,
- 31:31Speaker 1: can you see if you can find an answer to that.
- 31:32Speaker 1: I've I never know the answer, like is I would
- 31:35Speaker 1: just assume in my head when I watch the stop
- 31:37Speaker 1: motion videos of them doing it, like, oh my god.
- 31:40Speaker 1: But it all takes time. It all takes time. That's
- 31:42Speaker 1: the thing, though, And it all takes I'm just curious.
- 31:44Speaker 1: I'm just curious, like one person in CG animation doesn't
- 31:48Speaker 1: do everything. They do one thing and then another person
- 31:51Speaker 1: does the shadowing, and then another person does the coloring,
- 31:54Speaker 1: and then you know, I'm just curious, like if you
- 31:56Speaker 1: I'm curious to the answer if which one in general
- 31:59Speaker 1: costs more? And Joel's gonna find out the answer. Um,
- 32:03Speaker 1: there's a random momentum who gave her a shade remote.
- 32:07Speaker 1: I didn't know we had shade remote. I don't know
- 32:10Speaker 1: where that comes out. Um, oh no, So then this
- 32:15Speaker 1: is really funny when I when when I when I'm
- 32:17Speaker 1: telling you guys about first of all, I sucked the
- 32:19Speaker 1: blood out of the you know, the female patient, and
- 32:23Speaker 1: then I spit it into the test tube and that's
- 32:27Speaker 1: a fantasy. And we pop and I'm telling you guys
- 32:29Speaker 1: in the cafeteria about my my screenplay, and you guys
- 32:31Speaker 1: are so geeked out about it. Donald, You're really into it.
- 32:34Speaker 1: You're ready to start. And then I and I go
- 32:36Speaker 1: and then and you see the doctor Acula with the
- 32:39Speaker 1: period come up on the screen, and I'm like, you
- 32:41Speaker 1: take that period, you get it out of there, you
- 32:45Speaker 1: squish it together. It says Dracula. And then you're like,
- 32:51Speaker 1: that's an awesome ending. And I go, thank you for
- 32:54Speaker 1: telling me what I already know. Turk, you know you know, Um,
- 33:04Speaker 1: I just realized something. JD wrote Doctor Acula. It's his story,
- 33:07Speaker 1: it's his story, and he keeps trying to get it.
- 33:09Speaker 1: Mean well, when this continues the joke, we we we
- 33:12Speaker 1: keep trying to find moments to to to make it
- 33:15Speaker 1: in the hospital, right, that's when you wig, yeah, with
- 33:19Speaker 1: that wig moment. That is so funny when you the
- 33:23Speaker 1: camera cuts straight out of shuffle. Yeah, the camera, the
- 33:27Speaker 1: camera falls over and now I'm wearing the wig. Oh
- 33:34Speaker 1: my god, that's funny. Um. Yeah. My other idea, my
- 33:38Speaker 1: other idea I pitched a bill. I know I mentioned
- 33:40Speaker 1: it on here, but my my idea for a Scrubs
- 33:44Speaker 1: movie was that somehow we come, we come into money,
- 33:47Speaker 1: like a patient leaves us money or something, and we
- 33:50Speaker 1: and we use that money to to finally make Doctor Acula.
- 33:54Speaker 1: It'd be hilarious. A live action version, Yeah, a live
- 33:57Speaker 1: action version of Doctor Actil. Would it have crazy special
- 34:00Speaker 1: effects like real explosions and special effects? Sure? I don't know.
- 34:04Speaker 1: I just I just know that the fans anytime you
- 34:07Speaker 1: talk about this stuff, they go and when you like
- 34:09Speaker 1: if I'm I have every like post a picture of
- 34:11Speaker 1: mean like on a set, They're like, please tell me
- 34:13Speaker 1: it's doctor Accula, a figure of me, like behind a
- 34:22Speaker 1: movie camera. Everyone people are somebod people are like, finally
- 34:25Speaker 1: making Accula. Huh. Imagine if we really made Doctor Accula
- 34:28Speaker 1: and we went all out, balls out and fucking like
- 34:31Speaker 1: black Widow Dead bad boy, like straight up like with
- 34:34Speaker 1: the uber duper special effects, we should call Kevin Figi
- 34:38Speaker 1: and be like, listen, we got it. I know it's
- 34:40Speaker 1: not a Marvel property, but we have an idea for you.
- 34:43Speaker 1: We got a bad guy for Blade. We got the
- 34:45Speaker 1: bad guy for Blade. It's Doctor Accula, played by two actors,
- 34:50Speaker 1: Donald Phazon and Zach Braf. What is Joel saying here?
- 34:54Speaker 1: So basically Missing Link, which is a movie like I
- 34:56Speaker 1: did that stop motion, I had a budget of one
- 34:58Speaker 1: hundred and two point three million. And then Over the Moon,
- 35:01Speaker 1: which is a CGI movie that came out the same
- 35:02Speaker 1: year for Netflix, was forty four million. That's different. That's
- 35:07Speaker 1: different the same level of talent. What about now just
- 35:11Speaker 1: look at uh, look at Pixar, what Pixar costs and
- 35:14Speaker 1: look at what do you Toy Story for a budget? Yeah,
- 35:18Speaker 1: well that doesn't count because of everyone's salaries on like
- 35:21Speaker 1: a No, well this that movie we had. That movie
- 35:24Speaker 1: had Zach Galafanaki, the one of them, the once she's
- 35:27Speaker 1: talking about had Zach Galafanakis. No, but it's but it's
- 35:30Speaker 1: by by by the time you're paying Tom imagine what
- 35:33Speaker 1: Tom Hanks is being paid in the fourth version of
- 35:35Speaker 1: Toy Story. You got you gotta do apples to apples. Okay,
- 35:38Speaker 1: So let's do Rayah and the last Dragon then okay,
- 35:43Speaker 1: which is a couple of years later. That's a good.
- 35:45Speaker 1: That's a good all right? So oh wow, so still
- 35:53Speaker 1: there it is so stop motion costs more? Yes, yes,
- 35:56Speaker 1: I got it, um Donald, your brain your brain freeze
- 36:00Speaker 1: scream is very funny. It's very real. Have you ever
- 36:02Speaker 1: had brain freeze? I hate freeze. I get it all
- 36:04Speaker 1: the time. I hate it. Everyone has brain freeze. I
- 36:07Speaker 1: know what the funny things about brain freeze is while
- 36:09Speaker 1: you're screaming in agony, you're still scooping up the next bite. Yeah. Yeah, yeah,
- 36:16Speaker 1: nobody really hates brain freeze them. You know what you're
- 36:18Speaker 1: supposed to do. By the way, here's a tip from
- 36:19Speaker 1: a fake doctor. You're supposed to press your tongue to
- 36:25Speaker 1: the roof of your mouth right now. You're not have
- 36:28Speaker 1: heard that, But do you know why? I assume because
- 36:31Speaker 1: your tongue is warm and it's gonna heat up the
- 36:34Speaker 1: cold spot right well, yeah, because that's where your brain freezes.
- 36:37Speaker 1: Your brain freezes when your tongue hits when the cold
- 36:40Speaker 1: hits the roof of your mouth. Hey, what a weird
- 36:42Speaker 1: human defect. Yeah, so look, we pretty much went through
- 36:46Speaker 1: all the show. Do we go that shit? Calm down? Yes, um, okay,
- 36:53Speaker 1: you're just okay, what sumbala? That ship was hilarious. He goes,
- 37:00Speaker 1: how old do you think I am? And I'm like,
- 37:01Speaker 1: change the subject. You and Eden should come over for
- 37:04Speaker 1: some jumbalaya. And he goes, oh, it would be good
- 37:06Speaker 1: to get her out of the house, and I'm like,
- 37:08Speaker 1: change the subject back. You're seventy eight, sir, you think
- 37:12Speaker 1: I'm not old? Jumbalaya? That's funny, right, That's very funny.
- 37:21Speaker 1: And then he admits. He admits that he um, he
- 37:24Speaker 1: trolls from He trolls Brookstone Stone. He hangs out at Brookstone.
- 37:30Speaker 1: I don't even know if there's still are Brookstones. But
- 37:32Speaker 1: I don't know if things just either. I don't know
- 37:34Speaker 1: if I used to love Brookstone and the Sharper Immage
- 37:38Speaker 1: when I was a kid, if you went into the
- 37:39Speaker 1: Sharper Image, I just thought it was the coolest place
- 37:42Speaker 1: in the world. Yeah. Absolutely, I would say. I would
- 37:45Speaker 1: get the Sharper Immage catalog right, and I'd have my
- 37:47Speaker 1: little bottom. I'm I'm taking a twozie and I and
- 37:51Speaker 1: I just I put the catalog out on my lap
- 37:54Speaker 1: and I turned and my thing and I would listen.
- 37:57Speaker 1: I be so excited. I like, wait for this. It
- 37:59Speaker 1: was like a I wait for the catalog to do
- 38:01Speaker 1: this pooh, and then I'd on each page, I'd be like, okay,
- 38:05Speaker 1: I could pick one thing, I'd pick this, Okay, next
- 38:08Speaker 1: page folded over. Okay, if I could pick one thing,
- 38:11Speaker 1: I would pick this. And I would play that game
- 38:14Speaker 1: with myself when we listened back to this, I want
- 38:17Speaker 1: you to listen to how you set that story up.
- 38:22Speaker 1: I'm just telling you how geeked I was. Like when
- 38:24Speaker 1: it was a Sharper Image catalog day and I had
- 38:27Speaker 1: a pooh, it was very exciting. I would like, I'd
- 38:33Speaker 1: like fold down the corners, being like one day I'm
- 38:35Speaker 1: gonna get that massage chair. Do you want to know
- 38:37Speaker 1: when I realized Star Wars was like a big deal
- 38:40Speaker 1: for me when somebody came over and was like, wow, man,
- 38:42Speaker 1: you got Star Wars in your bathroom. Like I literally
- 38:45Speaker 1: had Star Wars books because I thought it was cool
- 38:49Speaker 1: for people when they came over and they were taking
- 38:51Speaker 1: I was for your guests so they could they could
- 38:55Speaker 1: you know what I mean? And I had it lined
- 38:57Speaker 1: up in you know, in series order all of these
- 39:00Speaker 1: comics and everything, like the people are gonna spend a
- 39:02Speaker 1: long time in your bathroom. Do you think it's weird
- 39:06Speaker 1: to lay out reading materials for guests in the guest bathroom.
- 39:12Speaker 1: I mean, I think now that we know about hygiene
- 39:15Speaker 1: like uh, COVID hygiene and stuff like that, I think
- 39:19Speaker 1: it's weird because you know, wiping your ass and stuff
- 39:21Speaker 1: like that. Then I know, but when your guests are
- 39:22Speaker 1: coming over, like I'm talking about, like I have this
- 39:24Speaker 1: little like half bath with it for guests right now,
- 39:28Speaker 1: I have some reading materials in there that are just like, hey,
- 39:31Speaker 1: you know, hey, take a look at this book. But
- 39:34Speaker 1: sometimes I'm like, is that weird because I'm telling them, like,
- 39:38Speaker 1: you know, don't just have a quick pooh, like, no,
- 39:40Speaker 1: stay a while read it. Just like everybody has phones now,
- 39:46Speaker 1: so I can't imagine let me just pick up this book,
- 39:50Speaker 1: but if it's a comic book, you might pick it up.
- 39:52Speaker 1: Like that's what that's That was my whole angle. My
- 39:55Speaker 1: angle was I put comic books in here so that
- 39:58Speaker 1: when they come and they can look at pictures, and
- 40:00Speaker 1: you know, I bet there's so much less reading on
- 40:03Speaker 1: the toilet now that people have phones like people just
- 40:06Speaker 1: read their phone. Joel's right, they don't pick up a nice,
- 40:09Speaker 1: a nice book that you've left out for your guests. Well, no,
- 40:12Speaker 1: because hygiene now also suggests that that's not really the
- 40:15Speaker 1: best idea. You know what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna
- 40:17Speaker 1: put a piece of fishing line on the book and
- 40:19Speaker 1: see if it breaks. I'm gonna see if anyone picked
- 40:21Speaker 1: it up. That's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna hide
- 40:25Speaker 1: a piece of fishing lines to the reading materials that
- 40:28Speaker 1: I've set out and see if anyone picks them up. Um,
- 40:32Speaker 1: the janitor is finally so thrilled to be included in
- 40:35Speaker 1: the photo that he hugs Carla. Yes, he's so tired
- 40:39Speaker 1: of being left out. Yes, who says this great line?
- 40:43Speaker 1: Never make assumptions based on your own perceptions. It is
- 40:48Speaker 1: it's him to me because I've made an assumption based
- 40:52Speaker 1: on my perception of her age that she's ready to go,
- 40:56Speaker 1: and she's like, what are you talking about. I'm not
- 40:57Speaker 1: ready to go. I'm ready to fight this fucking thing.
- 41:00Speaker 1: And I think that's very good. Scrubs Life advice for Earth.
- 41:04Speaker 1: Never make assumptions based on your own perceptions. I think
- 41:07Speaker 1: how many times you've gone down the road in your
- 41:09Speaker 1: head making up these elaborate stories of what might be
- 41:13Speaker 1: and none of it is true. It's just shit you're
- 41:15Speaker 1: making up in your head. It's very hard to live
- 41:18Speaker 1: by that when you have so many distractions like Facebook
- 41:22Speaker 1: and Instagram. And I know, I'm just saying that, like you,
- 41:27Speaker 1: we we something happens, we all make up an elaborate
- 41:30Speaker 1: story of what we thought that that meant. And then
- 41:32Speaker 1: of course when it's disproven, and you get all anxious
- 41:35Speaker 1: in your head and depressed and pissed off, and then
- 41:37Speaker 1: of course later nine percent times it's disproven and it's
- 41:40Speaker 1: not that, and then you just move on to the
- 41:42Speaker 1: next thing. You don't ever teach your brain and be like, hey,
- 41:45Speaker 1: remember that day you spent stressed because you thought someone
- 41:48Speaker 1: was ignoring you when they actually didn't see you. It's like,
- 41:52Speaker 1: we don't we don't learn, you know. I guess I'm
- 41:56Speaker 1: saying I shouldn't be saying a universal weed. I'm saying
- 41:59Speaker 1: I I I find that I, you know, make assumptions
- 42:04Speaker 1: based on my perceptions. Life would be so much easier
- 42:09Speaker 1: if we could stop ourselves from doing that, because we
- 42:11Speaker 1: suffer so much from things that we make up in
- 42:14Speaker 1: our heads that aren't have any basis in reality. Challenge
- 42:17Speaker 1: to shake your own perception that like literally shake the
- 42:19Speaker 1: way you view the world. We're also given so many
- 42:22Speaker 1: views of how the world should be for us, you
- 42:25Speaker 1: know what I mean. Like it's not like we're you know,
- 42:27Speaker 1: you open up, you open up your phone, you turn
- 42:29Speaker 1: on the TV. I'm not talking news like sitcoms, whatever
- 42:33Speaker 1: it is, fantasy shows, whatever it is. There's so many
- 42:37Speaker 1: things out there that are like so opposite of what
- 42:43Speaker 1: you're trying to do. Like if you're trying to just
- 42:45Speaker 1: be like, all right, if everything out there doesn't exist, well,
- 42:48Speaker 1: it does exist, But if everything out there, my perception
- 42:51Speaker 1: of what's out there isn't exactly accurate because I don't
- 42:55Speaker 1: know what's out there. But yet I'm giving all of this,
- 42:57Speaker 1: given all of this false information from I hate to
- 43:02Speaker 1: say it, but from media, like whether it be you know, Instagram,
- 43:07Speaker 1: whether it'd be television, whether it'd be you know, whatever,
- 43:12Speaker 1: whether it be your favorite Uh. I don't know. I
- 43:14Speaker 1: don't know why today I'm such a I'm a hater. Today,
- 43:17Speaker 1: I'm like a hater on everything you're in a weird
- 43:19Speaker 1: mood today. I think we can all agree that you're
- 43:21Speaker 1: in a weird mood. That's what I'm talking about, all right.
- 43:23Speaker 1: But I wasn't saying I maybe I was misunderstood. I
- 43:27Speaker 1: wasn't saying related to our perceptions of the media. I'm
- 43:31Speaker 1: just to use a quick example, just meeting up out
- 43:33Speaker 1: of the blue. You see a friend and they and
- 43:36Speaker 1: you wave to them and they ignore you. Okay, Now,
- 43:39Speaker 1: you might spend if you're neurotic, and like me, you
- 43:42Speaker 1: might spend all day going what the fuck did I
- 43:44Speaker 1: do to Paul? Why is Paul mad at me? Fucking hell?
- 43:47Speaker 1: I bet it's because, Oh I bet he's mad because
- 43:49Speaker 1: of this, And I suffer all day long. And then
- 43:52Speaker 1: later I run into Paul and I go, did I
- 43:54Speaker 1: upset you? And He's like, what are you talking about?
- 43:57Speaker 1: I didn't see you at the grocery store. What are
- 43:58Speaker 1: you're talking about? Now? I spent the whole whole day
- 44:00Speaker 1: anxious about what I did to Paul. I'm just talking
- 44:03Speaker 1: about that level of shit. That's what I understood, And
- 44:07Speaker 1: I think that I think it's other people suffer from this.
- 44:09Speaker 1: It's it's it's horrible, it's it's it's and we just
- 44:12Speaker 1: go from one thing or the other. Is that hard
- 44:17Speaker 1: to shake the show? And I wish I got to
- 44:25Speaker 1: pull a ball hit that. That's a fucking rip. Fucking
- 44:30Speaker 1: holy cowd. You don't smoke it through a glass tube?
- 44:33Speaker 1: Do you just roll it in papers? No? I smoke
- 44:35Speaker 1: it through a glass tube. So you're back on that
- 44:37Speaker 1: ganja huh. You know I decided today that I was
- 44:40Speaker 1: going to get off of it. Actually all right, good.
- 44:44Speaker 1: I decided to do the you can't do special occasions,
- 44:47Speaker 1: you're not capable of that? No, I'm not incapable of
- 44:52Speaker 1: every once in a while. Yeah, I've learned. Well, that's
- 44:55Speaker 1: a good to admit to yourself. It's the truth. And
- 44:57Speaker 1: so because of that, I've my wife's gonna be very
- 45:03Speaker 1: happy about this. I'm gonna go. I'm gonna do this.
- 45:05Speaker 1: I'm gonna go for another streak. I'm of the school
- 45:10Speaker 1: you're ready. Yeah, if you if one is incapable of
- 45:14Speaker 1: not um doing something occasionally but they probably shouldn't do it,
- 45:22Speaker 1: then I have. Then there's so many things in life
- 45:24Speaker 1: that I can't do. What's the case, what are you
- 45:28Speaker 1: incapable of doing occasionally? You want the HONESTO goin this truth.
- 45:34Speaker 1: I know sex, but that's that's different. You love sex.
- 45:37Speaker 1: We all know that. Besides sex, Um, I love toys.
- 45:44Speaker 1: I mean things that could be harmful to your body,
- 45:46Speaker 1: not toys. Oh woa shit weed sex, that's it all right,
- 45:51Speaker 1: weed and sex. Well, you don't have to give up
- 45:53Speaker 1: sex because your wife enjoys sex with you. I think
- 45:58Speaker 1: I kill Should we bring the guests in, m let's
- 46:03Speaker 1: do it. Let's take a quick break. I am going
- 46:05Speaker 1: to pee urine through my No, they don't need to
- 46:08Speaker 1: know that. They don't know. What's going to happen is
- 46:10Speaker 1: my yurine is going to be pushed through my urretra
- 46:13Speaker 1: and it's going to end up in a bull of
- 46:14Speaker 1: water and we'll be right back. And we're bad. We're bad.
- 46:25Speaker 1: I liked our new edge hearing the song I'm Woo.
- 46:30Speaker 1: It's very hooky. So I'm not a big Are you
- 46:33Speaker 1: a radio listener, Daniel or are you a I have
- 46:36Speaker 1: my iPod and I found some songs on a you
- 46:41Speaker 1: know what I mean? Like, how do you do it?
- 46:43Speaker 1: Spotify pretty much exclusively? Like I mostly listen when I'm
- 46:46Speaker 1: at my computer, when I'm in the car, I'm either
- 46:47Speaker 1: listening to podcasts or I'm listening to Spotify. Yes here
- 46:51Speaker 1: I put on I vacillate between like Lithium on serious Um,
- 46:56Speaker 1: which is like nineties grunge, and then I listened to
- 46:59Speaker 1: like um, this is this channel called Spectrum. I listened
- 47:02Speaker 1: to a lot of news when him in the car,
- 47:04Speaker 1: But I also play Hits one, which is like whatever
- 47:06Speaker 1: the latest pop song, Top forty pop songs other week,
- 47:09Speaker 1: and that's why that's where I hear the noon joints. Well,
- 47:11Speaker 1: I'm also friends with Ed, so I like to hear
- 47:14Speaker 1: what he's up to. Came out no, but I emailed
- 47:20Speaker 1: with him and said, this is very hooky and great
- 47:23Speaker 1: congrats when you're coming to LA. I haven't less necessarily
- 47:29Speaker 1: got hooked on that song yet, it's very host You're
- 47:33Speaker 1: gonna love it. We've listened to it a couple of times.
- 47:36Speaker 1: You know, I'm it doesn't even sound like him. I
- 47:40Speaker 1: feel like well. He also then put out an acoustic
- 47:43Speaker 1: version of it, which sounds way more like him. It's yeah,
- 47:45Speaker 1: it sounds like a dance track, but you know it's summer.
- 47:47Speaker 1: You need a bop, right, Joel, It's like a summer bop.
- 47:51Speaker 1: I just love that sharing. To be honest with you,
- 47:54Speaker 1: I like Ed Sharon and I like summer bops. All right,
- 47:56Speaker 1: let's bring in the guests. Let's see what Joelle has
- 47:57Speaker 1: planned for us today. We got a car. Games. You
- 48:03Speaker 1: can talk, you know, like a BA spoke maybe talking
- 48:10Speaker 1: about the episode. So come on, let's get the show.
- 48:16Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for Steven and Trina. Hello,
- 48:29Speaker 1: Stephen and Trina, how are you hello? Right, good to
- 48:32Speaker 1: see you. Welcome to the program. That's Donald Fazon, djel
- 48:36Speaker 1: Monique and everyone's favorite DJ DJ Daniel who streams on
- 48:40Speaker 1: Twitch and you can throw money at him um and
- 48:44Speaker 1: will if it's the right amount of money, he will
- 48:46Speaker 1: take you private and twork it out. And he will
- 48:49Speaker 1: twork while he plays tetris Um nailed it for Thank you, Daniel.
- 49:02Speaker 1: I would, I would. I would watch you do anything
- 49:05Speaker 1: on Twitch. I know that you play video games, but
- 49:06Speaker 1: I would watch you do anything. By Wednesday Friday Sunday,
- 49:13Speaker 1: can we pitch things for you to do? Sure? Yeah,
- 49:16Speaker 1: he said he would do it if we make it
- 49:18Speaker 1: rain for him. We make it rain. Maybe really need
- 49:20Speaker 1: to make it. Look, let's not we don't. We don't
- 49:22Speaker 1: need to put a monetary incentive behind it. You can
- 49:23Speaker 1: just tell me and I will legit make it rain.
- 49:26Speaker 1: But I want you to do something. We have to
- 49:27Speaker 1: set a date because we're prerecording a lot of these episodes,
- 49:30Speaker 1: and I'm sure there are gonna be a lot of
- 49:31Speaker 1: people that want to be on the day that we
- 49:33Speaker 1: decided Wednesday, Friday, Sunday. Yeah, but it has to be
- 49:36Speaker 1: like Wednesday the what or their Friday the what. We know, Well,
- 49:40Speaker 1: we need to plan a date in advance that we
- 49:43Speaker 1: can tell everyone. And then, Daniel, I feel like, if
- 49:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna watch a twitch stream, if I'm gonna make
- 49:47Speaker 1: it rain, I don't want to watch the thing that
- 49:49Speaker 1: you're doing because I don't care what. I want to
- 49:52Speaker 1: watch you do something. I like, all right, Nan'll make
- 49:59Speaker 1: us something. So so he's gonna be performing West Side
- 50:04Speaker 1: Story basically, Zach Right, Yes, yes, Dan, not West Side Story,
- 50:09Speaker 1: but um, if you could perform a one man show
- 50:11Speaker 1: of Dear Evan Hanson or Wicked, right, just dear Evan Hansen.
- 50:18Speaker 1: Now he said Wicked. He said Wicked. We're holding on
- 50:20Speaker 1: that one. By the way, Joel, you got tickets day still.
- 50:23Speaker 1: You told me to see Brella's announced she's going She's
- 50:25Speaker 1: bringing back Waitress, and I'm gonna starn in herself. What
- 50:28Speaker 1: date did you get? I'll go with you woke up
- 50:30Speaker 1: it happening on my birthday, wow, which is October one,
- 50:33Speaker 1: And I was like, that is too serendipitous for me
- 50:36Speaker 1: to be here when the tickets darn stale. So I
- 50:38Speaker 1: do wait in line for an hour virtually, and I
- 50:41Speaker 1: got in and I got great set seats in like
- 50:43Speaker 1: the orchestra section. I'm so excited it's gonna do well.
- 50:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna go too because I'm so excited about Here's
- 50:49Speaker 1: the only problem with her doing that thing. I'd be
- 50:53Speaker 1: I'd be in the audience and I'd be like, do
- 50:55Speaker 1: love song? No, imagine what about when the people came
- 51:02Speaker 1: to see your play that you think they're yelling to Clueless? Yeah,
- 51:08Speaker 1: they're clueless. Just did that monologue. It was funny. Clueless
- 51:11Speaker 1: killed that monologue. What's up, clueless, clooness. There's actually a
- 51:20Speaker 1: moment in that in the play that I did where
- 51:22Speaker 1: we do break the fourth wall and we jump into
- 51:24Speaker 1: the audience and take yeah, take a oh, but it's
- 51:29Speaker 1: Steve Martin. You love it, I know, But I hate
- 51:31Speaker 1: audience participation. I was, but it's Steve Martin, you love it.
- 51:34Speaker 1: Don't say I don't want to be picked up on stage,
- 51:36Speaker 1: but I'm from making me feel welcome. Zach, Why what
- 51:40Speaker 1: did I do? He said, you hate audience participation? Oh no,
- 51:43Speaker 1: that's different. I love guests, and I love our friends
- 51:45Speaker 1: and fans of the show. I'd be saying. I whenever
- 51:48Speaker 1: I'm in a play and they start coming into the
- 51:50Speaker 1: audience and interacting with with the audience, I'm always like,
- 51:53Speaker 1: oh no, oh no, don't like Like I remember when
- 51:57Speaker 1: I was a kid and I saw cats and they
- 51:59Speaker 1: were like sitting on your lap, and I was like,
- 52:01Speaker 1: I don't want that cat to see lap. Ready the cat,
- 52:06Speaker 1: I don't want that. I don't want that freaking sweaty
- 52:08Speaker 1: dancer on the ball tail looks like it hasn't been
- 52:14Speaker 1: washed since eighty four. Yeah, I don't like audience participation.
- 52:23Speaker 1: That show lied, man, That show lied, and it lied
- 52:26Speaker 1: now and forever at the Winter Garden Theater. My ass, Well,
- 52:32Speaker 1: I'm sorry if you love that show, but I'm gonna
- 52:34Speaker 1: say something I don't normally ever say bad about theater.
- 52:38Speaker 1: Drum Roll show. It was it a good movie. It's
- 52:45Speaker 1: I didn't make it through the movie, but it's like,
- 52:47Speaker 1: it's poetry about cats. It's poetry about cats, which, if
- 52:51Speaker 1: you love cats, is your jam. But it turns out
- 52:53Speaker 1: it wasn't my jam. Oh sorry, do you love cats? Okay?
- 52:59Speaker 1: So do you love cats? The musical point? You just
- 53:08Speaker 1: proved my point. You're a crazy cat lady. Okay, this
- 53:10Speaker 1: thing is made for you. Someone clearly went Andrew lad
- 53:13Speaker 1: Webert Clearing went, oh my god, people love cats. What
- 53:16Speaker 1: about a musical based on on cat poetry? And they
- 53:19Speaker 1: couldn't get Trina and I'm a I'm a crazy cat,
- 53:24Speaker 1: all right? Good? Well, you know there was a lot
- 53:26Speaker 1: of debate and when they made the Cats movie. I
- 53:28Speaker 1: don't know if you guys know this, but when they
- 53:30Speaker 1: originally did the the computer effects, they gave the cats
- 53:34Speaker 1: assholes because yes, why did they take that out? Well,
- 53:40Speaker 1: it was really distracting to see all the assholes. So
- 53:44Speaker 1: then they digitally had to go back and remove all
- 53:46Speaker 1: the assholes. And then I saw someone on Twitter was like,
- 53:51Speaker 1: released the asshole cut? Who thought of that? That's my
- 53:58Speaker 1: good question. I didn't. They mustn't went to all these
- 54:02Speaker 1: things are tested. They wants to go to a test
- 54:03Speaker 1: audience and someone's like, Okay, don't get me wrong, I
- 54:05Speaker 1: love cats, I love poetry. Those fake assholes are really
- 54:08Speaker 1: bumming me out. I can I can throw a random
- 54:13Speaker 1: thought for you and Donald this a little bit more.
- 54:16Speaker 1: I grew up in the Great City of Kentucky, and
- 54:19Speaker 1: the Kentucky mascot used to have a tongue in his mouth. Um,
- 54:24Speaker 1: if you look at it today, there's no tongue in
- 54:26Speaker 1: the University of Kentucky mascot because if you look at it,
- 54:30Speaker 1: it looks very phallic. Yeah. They had dick tongue. Yeah, yeah,
- 54:38Speaker 1: correct tongue. Dick tongue. So you've heard of twat ears.
- 54:42Speaker 1: We now know of dick tongue. Yeah, so there there's
- 54:46Speaker 1: some interesting folks out there. I guess that that seed
- 54:49Speaker 1: a bunch of dick tongue. Well, well enough people saw
- 54:54Speaker 1: dick tongue to be like, no, we got we gotta
- 54:57Speaker 1: change that. So apparently, apparently like the Little Mermaid the
- 55:02Speaker 1: on the VHS uh back in the day. I don't
- 55:06Speaker 1: know if this is true or not, because I had
- 55:08Speaker 1: the VHS, but then when I found this out, I
- 55:11Speaker 1: didn't have that. I had, you know, CDD he drew
- 55:14Speaker 1: a penis. He drew a penis as the castle, drew
- 55:18Speaker 1: a penis as the castle. I had this hand the
- 55:20Speaker 1: castle I had, I had, like, you're like penis castle. Anyway, Daniel,
- 55:33Speaker 1: we need that on the soundboard please. I hope you're
- 55:36Speaker 1: keeping a list of these. I just thought that. I
- 55:39Speaker 1: just thought that was outrageously like how mad do you
- 55:43Speaker 1: have to be to be Like, I'm gonna make it
- 55:44Speaker 1: so that when kids look at the cover of this
- 55:49Speaker 1: they take the dick pretty much like do you remember
- 55:54Speaker 1: that camel the camel animated camel for Camel Cigarettes told
- 55:58Speaker 1: me were crawling up clear a cock and balls. No,
- 56:03Speaker 1: it was undeniable. If you look at the Joe Cammell
- 56:06Speaker 1: animated character, he's face is a giant cock and balls. Yes,
- 56:11Speaker 1: just Tren, I'm sorry. I'm sorry to say this in
- 56:15Speaker 1: front of you. Joel's used language. I don't she's queen.
- 56:22Speaker 1: Respect the queen. Um. Oh by the way, um, I
- 56:25Speaker 1: want to say something. Sorry, Stephen and Trina, you're gonna
- 56:28Speaker 1: have your moment. But I I the T shirt we
- 56:31Speaker 1: put out with all the names on it. I kind
- 56:33Speaker 1: of fucked up because I answered the question who should
- 56:36Speaker 1: be on the T shirt like very late at night.
- 56:39Speaker 1: And I want you to know that I took everyone's
- 56:41Speaker 1: constructive criticism. And when I say constructive, I mean everyone's
- 56:44Speaker 1: screaming at me. Um. And I fixed the T shirt
- 56:48Speaker 1: so now it includes Ted, it includes Jordan, and I
- 56:52Speaker 1: changed it from Todd to the Todd. So if you
- 56:58Speaker 1: were someone who already bought it, like I think how
- 57:00Speaker 1: many people, like five hundred people bought ye, you're gonna
- 57:03Speaker 1: have a very limited edition shirt. You got it. You
- 57:07Speaker 1: got it, Stephen, uh No, but I should have invested.
- 57:12Speaker 1: Oh anyway, My point is that was that was a
- 57:14Speaker 1: limited edition. Those are gone and now I corrected, man
- 57:21Speaker 1: we um, Now we have a fixed shirt. Anyway, they
- 57:23Speaker 1: were on at cotton Bureau. You got at cotton bureau
- 57:25Speaker 1: dot com and just look up Fake Doctor's Real Friends
- 57:27Speaker 1: and you'll see uh the shirts. All right, guys, you
- 57:30Speaker 1: have a question for us? Yeah, the first question I
- 57:34Speaker 1: wanted to throw it at you was, you know a
- 57:38Speaker 1: lot of times if you're just sad, upset, in a
- 57:41Speaker 1: in a terrible mood, Um, what's kind of your your
- 57:45Speaker 1: go to or one or two go to movies or
- 57:48Speaker 1: TV shows that you can just watch over and over again,
- 57:52Speaker 1: laugh and be in a good mood. Donald, that's a
- 57:55Speaker 1: good question for you. Um, I like try. I like
- 58:00Speaker 1: movies when I'm feeling down and out that are where
- 58:06Speaker 1: the character kind of feels like I feel, but as
- 58:09Speaker 1: triumphant in an Indian triumphant Indian I should. Yeah, And
- 58:13Speaker 1: so movies like growing up, I was a huge fan
- 58:16Speaker 1: of Can't Buy Me Love, And you know, like rom
- 58:21Speaker 1: coms are great for when you're in your field for
- 58:24Speaker 1: me personally, when you're in your feelings and you want
- 58:26Speaker 1: to you know, you want to still go through the emotions,
- 58:29Speaker 1: but at the end of it, you want to feel love.
- 58:32Speaker 1: Uh So for me, a good rom com is always
- 58:35Speaker 1: great when I am in a bad mood. Absolutely. M
- 58:40Speaker 1: I usually just try leane to comedy, you know, a
- 58:43Speaker 1: half hour comedy. Um I've been Yeah, something that will
- 58:48Speaker 1: make me laugh. I watched, Um, I've been watching the
- 58:50Speaker 1: second season of Dave lately. Hilarious, really fucking bizarre and
- 58:55Speaker 1: weird but funny. Um. Yeah, I tend to. I tend
- 58:59Speaker 1: to seek out communic things I think to cheer me up. Yeah. Absolutely.
- 59:04Speaker 1: The other thing is with how music is kind of
- 59:07Speaker 1: so important in scrubs and then just kind of evoking
- 59:10Speaker 1: the emotions and you're in Donald's just absolute love for music.
- 59:16Speaker 1: Music can bring you to that that that moment in
- 59:19Speaker 1: that place, like a few other things I think can.
- 59:22Speaker 1: And so my question is, is, um, what song and
- 59:26Speaker 1: if and if you care to share the memory? Um,
- 59:29Speaker 1: you know what's the key memory that a you know,
- 59:31Speaker 1: what's the song that invokes the key memory? And if
- 59:35Speaker 1: you care to share it, you know what the memory is. Okay,
- 59:38Speaker 1: So for me, it's not my memory. It's well, it
- 59:41Speaker 1: is my memory, but it it's not my emotion that
- 59:46Speaker 1: I don't know how to explain it. Um. In Family Ties,
- 59:50Speaker 1: it was the first time that I realized where I
- 59:52Speaker 1: felt the angst for another character. And it was when
- 59:56Speaker 1: Alex p. Keaton's girlfriend left for the first time and
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: he is writing a letter to her at the kitchen
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: table and the music that's playing in the background, I
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: think is, what did you do you think I would
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: do at this moment? Right? And that was like the
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: first time that I felt that the you know that,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: you know, the you know I had. I had never
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: felt love before when that came out. I had never
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: felt you know, well, I felt love for my parents,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: but I had never felt like love for another, Yeah,
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: like a romantic love before, but through that I felt it,
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: like really for the first time, through that moment, and
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: so I I, you know, that's one that it's not
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: my emotion. I mean, it's it was sparked by someone
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: else's moment, but it's still resonated in me. Did you
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: mean Steven specifically in in a piece of film or TV,
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: not necessarily just just music in general. Yea, Because when
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: I thought about it, I thought about Fooling the Rain
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: with led Zeppelin, which is, uh, the song that we
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: left and walked back down the aisle after our wedding
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: kind of our our sol kind of brings me back
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: to that memory and that, you know, goofy conversation on
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: because we got buried on the beach afterwards, and you know,
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: it's kind of like, how far are we supposed to walk?
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: How was to do here? We didn't do this in
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: rehearsal very well. How find walk? Did you walk to
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: make it to the ocean? Did make it? Yes? We
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: kept on going. Threw her up in my arms and
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: uh we we just kept on walking for a while.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: So what where where where do you? You said you
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: you're in you were in Kentucky or you are still Um,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: we were we we are just south part of Atlanta.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: So we're in Georgia. Yeah, yeah, I'm coming there on.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: I'm coming to the atl I haven't flown in so long.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna I'm gonna suit up and come on a plane. Donald,
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: you've flown to Atlanta? How long is the flight? Four
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: hour flight? Four and a half hour flight from my lad? Yeah?
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: About that? Yeah, yourself to watch. They call it Hot Lanta. Yeah,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: it's very hot right now. It's hot in La right now.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: It's La right now. Ye. I like it. Though people
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: complain about it, but I like it. I love you
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: like that heat. Like I much rather be hot than
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: cold any any day. Absolutely, no doubt, no doubt that
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: cold can kiss it. What do you think I might
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: answer to your question? I was because I was going
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: to answer, like, Donald, like, what song I've said this before.
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: I'm sorry to be a broken record, but the sea
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: song that ends six feet under breathe me. I just
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: heard it. I heard in the gym the other day,
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: and I like instantly brought me back to all the
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: emotions I had with that beautiful series ending and um
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: and people think say that I'm decent at placing music.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: I think that it's one of the best place pieces
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: of music in a in a show. This is so
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: perfect and so moving to me. Okay, and then there's
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: one song that makes me cry, no matter when it
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: comes on, No matter what, I don't know why, I
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: know what it is, what you're trying to get into,
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: what you're trying to do. There can be mericos when
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: you believe Zack Zille hasn't seen this movie, he doesn't
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: know hope it is from this Phil No, this is
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: Whitney Houston and Mariyah Kerry in first animated film. You
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: can che when you believe somehow you will. All right,
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: it's time for South Atlanta's favorite segments. It's time to
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: fix You're ahead, guys, How can we help you in
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: any way? We are your free coaches today. Well fantastic um.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: As as I kind of wrote in UM March of
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: twenty twenty, we actually adopted or in the process of adopting,
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: two children. We m We got a call in January
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: UM and forty eight hours later our son had come
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: up from college. We have an adult sign and we
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: were on our way up to Virginia, about a twelve
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: hour drive to go meet the young man that we
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: found out was was available for for an adoption, and
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: we met him his birth mother and his sister as well,
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: and instantly we just we just knew it was absolutely right. Sorry,
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: how old was the how old was the child? Abdul
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: had just turned five years old and his little sister
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: was still three, about to be four actually, um, And
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: so we we bet and we kind of started the
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: process and their their birth mother then suggested or kind
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: of threw it out there of would you like to
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: would you like to have Asha to come live with
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: you as well temporarily temporarily, you know kind of thing,
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: and we kind of understood that it was going to
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: grow into keeping the children together and a brother sister adoption,
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: and that's exactly what happened. And of course there's a
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: you know, there's a pretty long story and all kinds
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: of details, but you know, that's right when the pandemic
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: and shut down hit and everything, which was a blessing
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: and some challenges at the same time, and you know,
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: but it gave us a chance to bond and grow
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: as a family and our son ab Duel is um.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: We found out, you know, we went through the testing process,
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: but he is actually UM on the autism spectrum and
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: he's UM, you know, he's he's relatively high functioning UM
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: and he's you know, been able to be a part
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: of the neurotypical classroom and all that fun stuff. But
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: it has presented some some craziness and some some fun
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: and challenges. But we've also have a fantastic network of
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: people around us and UM, some groups through our church
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: and just various things UM that have particularly helped with
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: with that. But specifically, what we wanted to kind of
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: throw out at you guys, and knowing a little bit
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: about Donald's background, UM, the reason I kind of reached
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: out is we are you know, white Caucasian parents and
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: both of our children are of mixed ethnicity. They are
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: African American and Hispanic and Middle East, and so I
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: wanted to kind of throw throw out some thoughts about
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: blended families as far as ethnicity goes, UM, maybe some
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: thoughts or challenges that have that have gone on there.
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: And kind of the second part is, UM, you know,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: with the world, that's UM that's kind of gone on
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: and you know, I mean America has always had trouble
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: with with racial and ethnical relations. But of course it's
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: been um magnified in our eyes, UM over the last
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: year and a half, just becoming aware in a different way,
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: and you know, just as as white parents, you know,
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: being able to not just um love our children wholeheartedly
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: and completely, just like we would with every child, but
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: also understanding you know, what does it mean to be um?
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: You know, what does it mean to be black in
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: America today? And how can we help them see that experience?
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: Honor that, my guess is the best. Wow before Donald
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: and h and Joel answer that better uh than uh
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: than Dane, and I think I could. I just wanted
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: to say, it's it's so impressive what you've taken on
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: adopting two children who who really needed a family, especially
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: now you learn that your son has special needs. Uh,
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: it's it's it's a real testament to the kind of
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: people you are. And uh I I I had tears
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: in my eyes just listening to you talk, and so
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: I I on behalf of the I'm sure so many
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: people that are listening. Uh, it's it's beautiful that you've
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: done what you've done and saved lives. Maybe figuratively but
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: maybe literally, who knows. But I just think it's really
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: I think it's beautiful what you've done. Um and and
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: also not to plug my movie, but this is in
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: a comedic way, In a comedic way, this is what
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: Cheaper by the Dozens about. Gabrielle Union and I are
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: a black and white couple, and I don't you don't
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: know anything about having black children. And and she's got
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: an ex husband who's who wants the kids to be
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: raised around them him, but he's never around anyway. You're
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: gonna love the movie when it comes out. Also, but
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: Donald and Joel, what would you do? You do you
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: have any thoughts for them? How would you speak to
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: how How does a pair of Caucasian parents make sure
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: that a mixed race child is getting exposed to the
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: right things that they should be exposed to. The great
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: thing is is that whereas in the past there weren't
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: great examples, there are a lot of great examples of
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: actors mentioned one a Cheaper by the Dozen movie, there's
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: a lot of examples of blended families. As far as
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: the African American experience right now, as much knowledge as
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: you can give your son about his ancestors. And now
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: I don't mean his blood to his mom and stuff
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: like that. I mean like where he comes from. That's
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: really important how he he got here. As long as
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: he is given or she is given the truth about
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: who they are, their blackness all, you know, as long
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: as that is handed to them, they will have so
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: much power and so much knowledge to take out into
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: the world with. I think knowledge of self is very important,
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: and I would assume and I would I would assume
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: find ways in your community, whether it's through your church
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: or through children's groups, whatever you can find that that
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: put them around other children that are like them. I
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: don't know what your town is like, but make sure
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: that they're around other children of lots of different ethnicities,
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: so they're not just growing up in a in a
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: super Caucasian environmental environment. Yeah, you know, I grew up
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: in a very diverse community. I grew up in house Kitchen,
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: New York City, and it's it wasn't just black people.
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: There were Spanish, Russian, Jewish, Muslim. I mean, it just
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: was like a it's been melting. Everything's right, it's everything.
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: And I feel like I understand a lot of people,
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: the people in my community because we were all we
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: were exposed to everything, you know what I mean everywhere
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: I got to see everything. I got to see Hanaka
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: with my friends, or kin Signetta with my other friends,
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Like, it's just I got
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: to experience different religions and different backgrounds. And so I
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: think community building with the kids. I think that's a big, big, big,
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: big part of creating confidence in them as well. I
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: have well three three real quick tips. Uh. One, make
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: sure they have toys that look like them, and then
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: think those toys really well you know, um, I think
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: that's really vital. Actually have mixed dolls too, if you
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: seek them out. I only know because they were obviously
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: props in our film that I was. You know, Yeah,
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: that's okay. Uh. To make sure they know that they're beautiful.
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: A lot of black kids think they're ugly. It's really sad.
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: There are tons of studies on this. It seems a
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: small thing, but it's really really big. And then three,
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: I'm neuro divergent as well, so I can totally empathize
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: and I would say, just be a total warrior when
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: it comes to their teachers, particularly with your son. You know,
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: I have a brother and it was just really a
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: struggle for him in school. He was the only black
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: kid in his class and sweetest kid ever, but the
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: community didn't know that, and it took them a really
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: long time to figure that out, and it was really
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: really hard. So just make sure the teacher knows that
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: you know your children and that you know them, and
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: that you're watching and you're aware so that you can
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: protect them when they're out in the world. And then
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: one last thing, finally, just make sure they have adults
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: of their same ethnicity engaging in their lives throughout because,
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: like Donald was saying, you know, community is really good.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: There's also so much that you know, as like a
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: young black kid growing up in a white community, I
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: didn't know until I got older about just like how
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: other black people engage with each other and things like that.
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: That would have been really great to know what it's
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: a black nod and why is it happening, and why
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: is it important that I reciprocate that black nod? What
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: does that mean? So and there's just things that you
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: won't be able to teach them about that culture. And so, yeah,
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: you know, just those things I think obviously you've already
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: given them so much love and my very first step.
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: I can't sit here and be like and make sure
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: it comes from love, because it's clear that you love
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: your children. It's oh, you know what I mean, you
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: have any idea, you know, you're starting from an amazing place.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: By the way, even the idea to ask the question
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: and not just say you know. I think it's just
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: so important that you came on. I mean, not that
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: we're specialists, but that you're asking. And I'm sure you're
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: asking true specialists too, but even the fact that you're
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: engaging in in wanting to do this, I think is
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: a great step. And and you'll continue to find resources
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: I'm sure in your community and I'm sure online that
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: can that can help. Sorry, no, absolutely, I think the
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: big word is the community word that seems to kind
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: of come through over and over again. Um. And I
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: definitely appreciate the perspectives because sometimes when you ask questions,
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: and I appreciate your your your confidence building or your
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: reassurance was saying that's act. But sometimes when you ask questions, UM,
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: you want to make sure you don't want to be
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: offensive when you ask a question. Does that make sense? Yes,
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: of course, But also you know we have a warped perspective. Well,
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: I should say I can't speak for all, I can
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: speak for Donald and I we have a warped perspective
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: because we've spent our lives in New York City and
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: Los Angeles, and I think that we often have to,
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: you know, recalibrate. For I have no idea what South
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: Atlanta is like. But you know what I mean, Like,
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: I listened from the point of view of growing up
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: in North Jersey, which is a lot like New York
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: and in LA and Chicago where I went to school,
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: so I have to always go I have no idea
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: what your community is like. And so if you're if
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: for example, you're in an all white community or predominantly
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: white community, it would be super important for you, like
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: to maybe find an African American mentor older teenager that
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: could be in his or her life, or you know,
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: something like that, or if it just happens naturally at church,
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: that's great. But you know, it's it's all about you know, community,
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: It really at the end of the day, it really is,
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: you know what I mean. And you know, when your
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: child's older and goes to college and or goes out
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: in life and everything like that when it's bait. When
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: you have a very strong foundation, You guys know this.
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: Everybody knows this. When you have a great, strong, strong foundation,
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: it's easy to thrive regardless of your It's I should say,
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: it's easier to strive regardless of your regardless of your background,
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: because you have people that are there to support support
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: a lot with with real support, a lot of a
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: lot of hurdles and obstacles can be tackled and or removed.
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: That's what I'm talking about. Yeah, I was trying to
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: shift it back to a comedic tone. Um, you guys,
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: are you guys? You a dick man? Straight up? You
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: dick tongue you dick yo tongue tongue Yo, dick tongue,
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: dick tongue. Yeo. On that note, um from Live from
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: twenty yars and dick tongue. Listen, it would make a
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: great couple, great couple, couple, A lot of nice kisses
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: in that ear. Listen. We love you guys, You're incredible people,
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: and thank you for being You just restored, you single
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: handedly restored my faith in humanity. Oh well, what Tina,
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: don't cancel it out because no, no, no, I didn't
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: want to interrupt you earlier, but you had said something
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: about Stephen, and I'm going to tell you right now
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: that is these little people coming into our lives has
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: been truly the most humbling experience of my personal life.
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: And I cannot be more grateful for absolutely, for what
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: what these guys have taught us, um and I am
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: so damn grateful to be a part of their journey.
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: So well, I'm still allowed to say that you're a
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: pretty incredible person if you don't really, Okay, But my
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: point to you is, I really feel like from our perspective,
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: that's that's how we feel. I mean, it's I think
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: that's beautiful. But I also think from my perspective, I
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: love you. No. Two adults who raised an adult child
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: who then had an epiphany that they were going to
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: take on adopting young children. One of them has is
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: on the spectrum, and not only are you doing it
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: well obviously with so much love, but you're like, how
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: can we do it better? I just think you're incredible people.
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: And you know, sometimes you go on the interwebs and
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: you're like, and you look at what's happening on earth,
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: and you think humanity is fucked, and then you meet
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: Trina and Stephen and you feel good again, like, yoh,
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: did y'all see what happened in London and Italy and
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: how London lost? But how to two black players miss
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: the goals and how they're getting death threats and stuff?
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: Right now, it's yeah, let's not think about that and
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: think about how beautiful Stephen and Trina are. Okay, my bed,
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: we we appreciate sick lifts. You know, I'm protesting, but
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: I can't help it. I can't but help protesting, but
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: I can't help hitting the clapmoise is. Thank you very much, guys. Hey,
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: you're welcome to appreciate it. Hey, you're welcome. Thank you
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: for coming on. We appreciate you. Thank you, guys. We'll
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: see future. Be well by guys. Bye, bye, lovely people.
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: I think that's the first time the guests we're like,
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: we want to get on. I think you don't clearly
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: their church going people, and you went into another round
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: of dick the twat ears and they're like, well, we're
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: gonna get going. We're gonna get going. We have a
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: church group. If they're gonna their friends, they're gonna tell
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: their friends that are on the show, and they're not
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: gonna be They're gonna be like we didn't it didn't happen.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: Their real names are probably Carl and Cindy. All right ahead, ahead,
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: all right, listen, we love you all. Be kind, be kind,
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: beat like those people there. I'm not saying you have
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: to take on what they took on and go adopt
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: young children in need, but be nice to each other.
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: It's so easy to be nice. Fucking mean, It's so
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: easy to be kind, right, Joel, Yes, it's always easier
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: to be kind. Even though I had one of those
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: days where I was a hater, at the end of
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: the day, it just was so easy. It was so
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: much easier to be don't you hate everybody? And when
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: you get the opportunity, check out Zack's guns because he
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: just flex for us was that they're not going to
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: get the opportunity because this isn't on the intergrams. But
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: you gotta put you gotta put this the arm on
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: the interwebs. Maybe for us, I'll slide into your DM,
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: but your mom, Joel, can I respond to your mom
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: with a with a bicep picture? Very confused, but you can, Joel.
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: He he's got abs, yo, He's got like real deal.
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: Holy feel abs like I know. I only sent them
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: to Donald, but he told me to stop because he
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: was feeling shifting movement. There was a little bit of movement, man,
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: and it felt weird. All right, listen, we love you,
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: be kind to each other. Here is the incredible Josh
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: Raden with a beautiful song called these Photographs. You see
