- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hey guys, welcome to the Almost Famous Podcast. Today we
- 0:10Speaker 2: have someone you haven't heard of in a while, but
- 0:13Speaker 2: she is back and she's on a show that is
- 0:16Speaker 2: very popular. You saw her during Peter Webber season. It's
- 0:20Speaker 2: Tammy Lee. Hello everyone, Hello Tammy. When I met you
- 0:27Speaker 2: at Women Tell All, we like had a great girl
- 0:31Speaker 2: moment and I was like, wait a second, you're sown
- 0:34Speaker 2: on a villain.
- 0:35Speaker 3: I know.
- 0:36Speaker 4: I remember that moment too because I was going through
- 0:38Speaker 4: the trenches back in the day.
- 0:40Speaker 3: So I appreciate your help with that, but it was good.
- 0:44Speaker 4: I think that the show obviously makes people look and
- 0:48Speaker 4: feel are not our best sometimes, And yeah, I was
- 0:51Speaker 4: also young and a whole different person now.
- 0:54Speaker 2: I feel like, so, how did this happen? It's been
- 0:58Speaker 2: five years since Peter season and now you're on a
- 1:01Speaker 2: million dollar listing la are How did they find you?
- 1:07Speaker 2: Did they know you from the show or is this
- 1:09Speaker 2: a totally fresh thing.
- 1:11Speaker 3: It's a totally fresh thing.
- 1:13Speaker 4: I joined Tracy Tutor's team here in LA two years
- 1:17Speaker 4: ago when I got my license in California, and I
- 1:19Speaker 4: started being really back and forth between New York and
- 1:23Speaker 4: Los Angeles. But yeah, so I join and we just film,
- 1:27Speaker 4: and it's so different than filming The Bachelor because we
- 1:29Speaker 4: get to have our cell phones and we can touch
- 1:31Speaker 4: our mics, and we can talk to producers and it's
- 1:34Speaker 4: just they just film us working and going through our
- 1:38Speaker 4: daily lives. And it's so different than filming The Bachelor
- 1:41Speaker 4: because you're just you know, restricted, no phones, you don't
- 1:44Speaker 4: know what time it is. So it was such a
- 1:47Speaker 4: like three sixty of different ways of filming, but it's
- 1:50Speaker 4: a different show.
- 1:50Speaker 2: So so does it feel like kind of a nine
- 1:54Speaker 2: to five job where you know, you put your mic
- 1:57Speaker 2: on in the morning, you take it off at night,
- 1:58Speaker 2: and you just kind of about your actual job while filming,
- 2:02Speaker 2: Like how much of it is not you know, we
- 2:07Speaker 2: don't like to use the word scripted, but maybe a
- 2:09Speaker 2: little staged.
- 2:11Speaker 3: It's actually not staged. Some of the things.
- 2:14Speaker 4: We wish it was more stage because it would get
- 2:16Speaker 4: more you know, realistic timelines of how buyers and sellers
- 2:21Speaker 4: work with each other. But it's we have set filming
- 2:26Speaker 4: days and we tell them what listenings we have active
- 2:29Speaker 4: and what's going on between the other agents, and they
- 2:31Speaker 4: kind of coordinate when we're going to film and what
- 2:34Speaker 4: we're going to be filming. But we're just going through
- 2:37Speaker 4: the motions as if we were working, if that makes sense.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Really so, it's as if you're just being filmed doing
- 2:43Speaker 2: a realtor job. Yeah, then how does the drama? Would
- 2:49Speaker 2: you say that like when you're just doing a regular
- 2:51Speaker 2: job as a realtor? Would you say that drama occurs
- 2:55Speaker 2: like that or is it because the personality is in
- 2:57Speaker 2: your company?
- 2:59Speaker 3: I would say both.
- 3:00Speaker 4: We're a pretty badass girl group and we are very sassy,
- 3:05Speaker 4: and we work with other agents and I think, I mean,
- 3:08Speaker 4: I've been doing this for eight years now. The Los
- 3:11Speaker 4: Angeles real estate agents are a different animal. Like it
- 3:14Speaker 4: is a drama. Some people won't show each other houses
- 3:17Speaker 4: because they don't like each other.
- 3:18Speaker 3: It's just wild.
- 3:20Speaker 2: That is so interesting. Tell us about that. Just like
- 3:24Speaker 2: the housing market right now, what's the status? Is it
- 3:27Speaker 2: a good time to buy? Is it a buyer seller's market?
- 3:30Speaker 2: I don't know. I've been out of the buying game
- 3:32Speaker 2: for a couple of years now, but I'm always interested.
- 3:36Speaker 4: A realtor will tell you that it's a great time
- 3:38Speaker 4: to buy and sell. After last month, La obviously got
- 3:42Speaker 4: hit with a ton of fires. It's very sad, and
- 3:45Speaker 4: we were so busy out of nowhere. Seven days into
- 3:49Speaker 4: the new year. You know, a lot of families lost
- 3:52Speaker 4: their homes, so we were trying to find all of
- 3:53Speaker 4: our clients temporary housing, what are they going to do
- 3:56Speaker 4: with their house, try to figure out their insurance with them,
- 3:58Speaker 4: and then try to find them maybe a potential more
- 4:02Speaker 4: permanent home for the next two to three years while
- 4:04Speaker 4: they rebuild.
- 4:04Speaker 3: There's just so much going on, Like we had an
- 4:06Speaker 3: influx like.
- 4:07Speaker 4: The night of the fires, like twenty thirty people reaching
- 4:11Speaker 4: out to us trying to help them relocate. And everyone
- 4:14Speaker 4: wants to stay on the West Side because that's where
- 4:15Speaker 4: their whole lives are, but they can't really live. Yeah,
- 4:17Speaker 4: the fires were still going on, so it was just
- 4:19Speaker 4: really hectic and crazy. It was very sad. A lot
- 4:22Speaker 4: of my clients you know, have nothing, you know, and
- 4:25Speaker 4: it was very heartbreaking, so sad.
- 4:29Speaker 2: So sad. And now is there like a you guys
- 4:33Speaker 2: just have you don't have enough places for these able
- 4:36Speaker 2: to live now, right, So they're all moving further east in.
- 4:40Speaker 3: That they're moving to OC they're moving to San Diego.
- 4:43Speaker 3: There's just it's the wild wild rest right now.
- 4:46Speaker 4: I mean we're getting a ton of inventory in, but
- 4:49Speaker 4: it's still not enough for all the people that lost
- 4:50Speaker 4: their homes.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Ye.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Now, you were a realtor when you were on the Bachelor.
- 5:07Speaker 2: You've been a realtor for eight years. Now, did it
- 5:10Speaker 2: help or hurt your business being on the Bachelor?
- 5:14Speaker 3: You know, it's so funny.
- 5:15Speaker 4: So I was newly a realtor probably for a couple
- 5:18Speaker 4: of years when I had my first show, and I
- 5:22Speaker 4: obviously became a villain at some point in people from
- 5:26Speaker 4: like Kansas, the Midwest.
- 5:27Speaker 3: They were like leaving reviews about me, saying that I'm
- 5:30Speaker 3: a bad real estate agent. And it was really funny.
- 5:33Speaker 4: I mean, it's funny to laugh out about right now,
- 5:35Speaker 4: but it was really traumatizing during that time because like
- 5:38Speaker 4: people are like with my business.
- 5:40Speaker 3: But I actually ended up helping my business.
- 5:43Speaker 4: I think obviously people know who I am now in
- 5:46Speaker 4: my small town, and I have credibility now as well
- 5:49Speaker 4: with you know my business and who I am. So
- 5:53Speaker 4: I've had definitely people try to reach out to view
- 5:56Speaker 4: homes just to meet me sometimes, but we do a
- 6:00Speaker 4: whole vetting process.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Now.
- 6:01Speaker 3: That's so for safety precautions.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Oh okay, well that's great. We have seen as part
- 6:09Speaker 2: of million Dollar listing some romance. How's your romantic life going?
- 6:15Speaker 4: So I didn't find love on The Bachelor or Bachelor
- 6:19Speaker 4: in Paradise, but I did find it through The Bachelor
- 6:23Speaker 4: my really good friends Chason and Spencer, who are on
- 6:26Speaker 4: Clarentatious season. I was close with them for a very
- 6:29Speaker 4: long time during COVID and still kept up with them
- 6:32Speaker 4: to this day. And I met my curve boyfriend now
- 6:34Speaker 4: through them, so they were both friends with him.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Yeah, so technically the Bachelor.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Did help me. There's lots of people who have met
- 6:42Speaker 2: that way and I love that. I love fate stories.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Do we see any of your boyfriend on the show.
- 6:48Speaker 4: He's filmed a couple of times, but they don't really
- 6:51Speaker 4: cut out so much. I mean, you know TV, so
- 6:53Speaker 4: I don't think I've seen him on any episodes. If
- 6:55Speaker 4: you did, it might be like the side of his head.
- 6:57Speaker 4: But he also works like a very intense job, so
- 7:00Speaker 4: he's such a he's like a very normal person. He's
- 7:02Speaker 4: an attorney, so he's always like working. He doesn't really
- 7:06Speaker 4: go to my events with me or filming.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Yeah, if you would, you say that being on the
- 7:12Speaker 2: Bachelor helped in your career at all. Besides, like you know,
- 7:15Speaker 2: people trying to get viewings with you. Would you say
- 7:19Speaker 2: that like it gave you people like certain like insight
- 7:22Speaker 2: into people.
- 7:23Speaker 3: Yes and no.
- 7:24Speaker 4: I mean obviously I'm not just your average real estate agent.
- 7:29Speaker 4: I've been on to Vehy couple of times. I mean
- 7:30Speaker 4: Tracy is the same way though, you know, so people
- 7:33Speaker 4: have reached out trying to talk to us and interested
- 7:36Speaker 4: in properties just because it's Tracy.
- 7:38Speaker 2: So I would say, yeah, who is your favorite client
- 7:41Speaker 2: to work with? Like, what kind of person?
- 7:44Speaker 3: I love my new families?
- 7:46Speaker 4: A young couple with like maybe a kid or two
- 7:49Speaker 4: who are trying to find like a bigger space for
- 7:51Speaker 4: their growing family. I love those types of clients. I
- 7:54Speaker 4: think it's really cool to see people growing into something
- 7:57Speaker 4: that they thought was a dream and that some point
- 8:00Speaker 4: we were all twenty years old thinking were we ever
- 8:02Speaker 4: going to have children?
- 8:02Speaker 3: Are we ever going to have a home to you know,
- 8:05Speaker 3: build on? And it's very beautiful to see that.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Can you give us a horror story now, like, what
- 8:10Speaker 2: is who's like the worst? Can you think of the
- 8:13Speaker 2: worst client you've ever had and give it to us anonymously.
- 8:18Speaker 4: I love all my clients, I'll say, but there's definitely
- 8:23Speaker 4: been nightmares with people. I've had a client where I
- 8:25Speaker 4: lent them money to borrow I should have done I
- 8:28Speaker 4: should have done that. I was young at the time,
- 8:30Speaker 4: and I lent him money to empty out his house
- 8:33Speaker 4: and he like disappeared. And if I didn't sell this house, like,
- 8:37Speaker 4: I wouldn't have gotten paid and he had he had
- 8:39Speaker 4: like ten leans on his home.
- 8:42Speaker 3: So I think, any good lord, Oh no.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Okay, it's because you're in La. Any celebrity clients.
- 8:54Speaker 4: Yes, a popular one. I don't know if I could
- 8:57Speaker 4: say his name. But our teams working with a bunch
- 8:59Speaker 4: of clients, okay, do.
- 9:02Speaker 2: They tend to be more difficult or the same as
- 9:05Speaker 2: your everyday client?
- 9:06Speaker 3: The same as your everyday client? You know who I
- 9:08Speaker 3: was really struck on.
- 9:09Speaker 4: I don't normally get like god, I like that, but
- 9:11Speaker 4: I showed a house to Jimmy Jimmy Garofolo.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Is that his name?
- 9:15Speaker 2: Oh yeah, Jimmy Garoppolo. This podcast tried to set me
- 9:19Speaker 2: up with Jimmy Garoppolo during our first season. I was,
- 9:24Speaker 2: you know, of course, who doesn't love Jimmy. Who doesn't
- 9:26Speaker 2: think he's super hot, and I was like, I want
- 9:30Speaker 2: to date him, and the podcast, like our producers kept
- 9:34Speaker 2: trying to like find a way into that circle, but
- 9:38Speaker 2: it didn't work and I lived happily ever after. Besides
- 9:40Speaker 2: that point, but reason, yeah, I am not surprised that
- 9:45Speaker 2: you had googly eyes over that.
- 9:47Speaker 3: This man is large, and I'm like, oh my god,
- 9:54Speaker 3: I love that.
- 9:55Speaker 2: All right, well, Tammy, we appreciate you being here. What
- 10:00Speaker 2: a million dollars million dollar listening is? I know it's
- 10:03Speaker 2: on the streaming services. Is it released all at once
- 10:07Speaker 2: or in episodes?
- 10:08Speaker 3: It's an episodes I think every week on Bravo and
- 10:12Speaker 3: then you can watch it on Peacock.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Yeah, alrighty well, guys check her out on that are
- 10:17Speaker 2: you you're currently on? Right?
- 10:19Speaker 4: We haven't picked up season sixteen, but I was on
- 10:23Speaker 4: season fifteen and a little bit of season fourteen.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Okay, great, Well you guys if they get picked up,
