- 0:11Speaker 2: Are you so much bad?
- 0:20Speaker 3: No? I haven't really recently really watched unfunny things very often.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Bad Buddy was the host this week. It's pretty funny.
- 0:29Speaker 1: I can't appreciate that and putting people. I'm blessed it was.
- 0:33Speaker 2: It was pretty funny this week. So I'm gonna.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Enjoying.
- 0:39Speaker 2: We will thrilled by all the things. I say. What's
- 0:43Speaker 2: going on? Everybody? I am the one, the only, the
- 0:45Speaker 2: w O O K. I e joining here by my
- 0:48Speaker 2: normal cast and misfits. We have the kid that knows
- 0:51Speaker 2: more than you, mister Cole cool he yo, and the
- 1:00Speaker 2: kid going to school so he can know more than you, duckstow.
- 1:05Speaker 2: I don't want to yell it's late.
- 1:08Speaker 4: Hello, Hello everyone. I don't know if I'm really going
- 1:10Speaker 4: to school anymore. But we don't even talk about that.
- 1:12Speaker 2: One day, one day, I'll I'll yell it and we'll
- 1:18Speaker 2: go for that. So all right, Well, what do we
- 1:21Speaker 2: got this week's.
- 1:25Speaker 3: We got a bunch of random, mixed bag of things.
- 1:32Speaker 2: But first, the Wookie is not important, not important segment
- 1:39Speaker 2: of the week. I feel like it's more important than
- 1:41Speaker 2: it is. You took my question away.
- 1:47Speaker 3: That was a question I had copy pasta from somewhere else.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Oh that I wrote like three episodes ago.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Oh, what was it?
- 1:57Speaker 1: What is your favorite?
- 1:59Speaker 4: Non?
- 2:00Speaker 3: Oh, I can just control see what is it? What
- 2:02Speaker 3: is your favorite not every day beverage?
- 2:07Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 2:07Speaker 4: The soda one, I guess.
- 2:10Speaker 2: That was straight soda. What is your favorite not everyday beverage?
- 2:16Speaker 2: So what's something I don't drink very often? I'd say
- 2:22Speaker 2: energy drinks? But I drink those fuckers every day, same.
- 2:34Speaker 1: M.
- 2:35Speaker 2: You know, every now and again. I could go for
- 2:38Speaker 2: a good icy icy slurpy.
- 2:42Speaker 4: Yeah, that was gonna be what I was gonna say
- 2:46Speaker 4: to all. The icy flavors are good. Mm hmmm, a
- 2:50Speaker 4: cherry or a.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Watermelon watermelon, but it must different watermelon icy icy number
- 3:00Speaker 2: one flavors of ICs don't actually have flavors. There's red,
- 3:06Speaker 2: there is blue, and there is Coca cola.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Nope.
- 3:11Speaker 4: BUCkies has a lot of different flavors. So I got
- 3:14Speaker 4: doctor and root beer too.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Let me tell you guys something. If you have been
- 3:20Speaker 2: to a buckieslimy inadvertently hate you because I want to
- 3:26Speaker 2: go to one. So I want to go to one
- 3:30Speaker 2: so bad. But I think the closest one to me
- 3:32Speaker 2: is in Tennessee.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Well just uh, I.
- 3:36Speaker 4: Mean, yeah, they started in Texas.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Come to Texas.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Yeah, one day, but I want to get.
- 3:41Speaker 4: Only in Texas for a long time.
- 3:44Speaker 2: I want to go to a BUCkies so bad. I
- 3:48Speaker 2: heard there's opening up one in Oak Creek by me,
- 3:52Speaker 2: and that's that's not too bad away. That's like thirty
- 3:54Speaker 2: minutes away. And I'm one hundred percent like, I don't
- 3:56Speaker 2: care if they open it down and Racine it's just
- 3:59Speaker 2: like a hour away from me. I'm going. I will
- 4:05Speaker 2: be there opening day. I hear it's a quick Trip
- 4:08Speaker 2: on steroids.
- 4:11Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, that has all of the snacks and clothes
- 4:16Speaker 4: and everything you can dream of.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Yeah. Quick Trip tries to do that. They don't really
- 4:21Speaker 2: succeed in doing that. But I'll tell you what, Like,
- 4:25Speaker 2: if you're in the North, if you're in the Midwest,
- 4:28Speaker 2: you know about quick Trip, and quick Trip's pretty on point, right.
- 4:31Speaker 2: You get yourself a spicy chicken sandwich from Quick Trip
- 4:35Speaker 2: Chef's kiss.
- 4:36Speaker 3: I need the listeners to know that Wookie is talking
- 4:40Speaker 3: about quick Trip with a K, which we do not.
- 4:42Speaker 2: I don't understand. Okay, so is there a Quick Trip
- 4:48Speaker 2: with a que by you? You've told me this before,
- 4:51Speaker 2: and I was just like.
- 4:52Speaker 4: The only quick trip I know exists, that's the only
- 4:55Speaker 4: one with a K yep.
- 4:58Speaker 3: So was I like, it's how you would normally normally
- 5:04Speaker 3: spell English.
- 5:07Speaker 2: A k W I K.
- 5:10Speaker 1: No no C. But those who know just call it QT.
- 5:17Speaker 2: I don't think I've ever been to a QT.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Yeah, speaking.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Kind of looks like a quick No, it doesn't gas
- 5:27Speaker 2: stations look alike. I guess I shouldn't say it kind
- 5:29Speaker 2: of looks like it quick doesn't.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Yeah, speaking of QT, and I ses if you go
- 5:38Speaker 3: to QT, they have free zonis and then they have
- 5:44Speaker 3: I don't know what they're called.
- 5:47Speaker 1: See if I can find a picture, but next to
- 5:50Speaker 1: the free zone, like a free zone.
- 5:54Speaker 3: It's like their take on a slurpy based slurpy.
- 5:59Speaker 2: But they're like they're zony Is. It'll drive into the
- 6:02Speaker 2: customers by the bushel. Okay, never mind.
- 6:04Speaker 3: No, it's the whole name is free Zony. It's not
- 6:07Speaker 3: free Zony, it's just a freeze free zone.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Knee.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Anyways, they have I found a picture, but I don't
- 6:16Speaker 1: think they have a name. Oh it's too small.
- 6:20Speaker 3: They have these things that are more like Lushy's next
- 6:26Speaker 3: to it.
- 6:27Speaker 1: And oh my god, there's that's the next name.
- 6:30Speaker 2: That was the other name for it.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I can.
- 6:33Speaker 2: McDonald's has got a pretty good one right now. Burger
- 6:38Speaker 2: King also has a pretty good one right now too.
- 6:41Speaker 2: If I haven't been.
- 6:42Speaker 4: To a McDonald's or Burger King.
- 6:44Speaker 2: In years, you live under a rock.
- 6:47Speaker 4: No, I don't get fast food.
- 6:50Speaker 3: I also have not been to a McDonald's or Burger King.
- 6:53Speaker 2: McDonald's right right now, I've got there all terrible. Yeah,
- 7:01Speaker 2: I mean, they're not great, but they're good. When you're
- 7:04Speaker 2: hungry and you don't want to cook for the night,
- 7:10Speaker 2: You're like, hey, it's already like eight thirty and we
- 7:15Speaker 2: got to feed these kids. Otherwise they're going hungry. Let's
- 7:19Speaker 2: just go get.
- 7:19Speaker 3: McDonald Speaking of it being almost nine thirty.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Almost, we should probably start talking talking about altered altered. Yeah,
- 7:33Speaker 2: that's why we're here. That's really why we're here.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Yep.
- 7:38Speaker 2: As I have mentioned on movie, sour Apple and pineapp Sorry.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Yeah, no, they're they're very good. They have a blue
- 7:49Speaker 3: like blue raspberry one.
- 7:50Speaker 2: That is you guys can't see my set up, but
- 7:52Speaker 2: my monitors are on top of each other, and I
- 7:55Speaker 2: rock two large thirty two inch monitors that are stacked,
- 8:01Speaker 2: so I didn't see it until I looked up, and yeah,
- 8:05Speaker 2: I'm in better than my flavors, that's for sure. All right. Anyways,
- 8:11Speaker 2: back to Altered serious business here.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Yeah, So, as I have mentioned many times before, there
- 8:18Speaker 3: are a lot of articles that have happened in the
- 8:22Speaker 3: past couple of months, but we leave the reading those
- 8:27Speaker 3: and what is it what is the word for when
- 8:33Speaker 3: you're saying something on the news?
- 8:35Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, my brain of.
- 8:40Speaker 3: Heroes guide to his Gartha, so you care.
- 8:43Speaker 2: They are the real heroes of the of as Gartha.
- 8:50Speaker 3: You can listen to their breakdown of those. But we
- 8:57Speaker 3: do have a nice little break here in other things
- 9:04Speaker 3: we are doing. So we're gonna talk about some of
- 9:08Speaker 3: the recent articles, but I first just wanted to open
- 9:15Speaker 3: it up with what are the highlights of the last
- 9:19Speaker 3: six months or a year or whatever for you?
- 9:22Speaker 1: Because we're a.
- 9:24Speaker 3: Year into Altered now, and we're actually almost at the
- 9:29Speaker 3: end of the year, like twenty five, and in two
- 9:34Speaker 3: weeks it's actually.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Like eleven days worlds.
- 9:41Speaker 3: Will happen, which is kind of like the end of
- 9:44Speaker 3: year one for Altered.
- 9:45Speaker 2: So yeah, it's kind of like a big hazah, right,
- 9:49Speaker 2: that is ending. When is the world What are the
- 9:54Speaker 2: exact dates? I'm terrible with dates.
- 9:59Speaker 3: So it's the Yeah, seventeenth, eighteenth, and nineteenth, I want
- 10:03Speaker 3: to say, I want to double check.
- 10:06Speaker 1: My concept of the.
- 10:09Speaker 3: Dates is kind of based around when I like land
- 10:14Speaker 3: in Paris, and since it's I leave the fifteenth, I
- 10:18Speaker 3: get there the sixteenth because of how long it is
- 10:21Speaker 3: blah blah blah. Anyways, it's the seventeenth through the nineteenth
- 10:26Speaker 3: of this month. So in twelve days, day one happens,
- 10:32Speaker 3: which will be the last chance qualifier.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Okay, wait, how many days?
- 10:38Speaker 1: Eleven days, twelve, twelve days from today.
- 10:43Speaker 2: If you count in France, like, just yes, yes, yes,
- 10:49Speaker 2: So they're starting in Paris. In Paris, so that's the seventeenth.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Yep, seventeenth, eighteenth, and nineteenth.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Damn, your world's coming up faster than my worlds. But hey,
- 11:02Speaker 2: good news. I think we can confirm it, right, can
- 11:07Speaker 2: we confirm the world's news? What's the world's news that
- 11:12Speaker 2: you'll be there?
- 11:15Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I just said.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Oh okay, I heard from a little Bertie, And by
- 11:19Speaker 2: a little Bertie, I meant I kind of stalked the
- 11:21Speaker 2: altered chat for a little bit and saw that your
- 11:24Speaker 2: boy Cole Robbie will be there, so make sure you
- 11:28Speaker 2: say hello to him. I was.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Very true.
- 11:35Speaker 3: I was kind of not saying I was one hundred
- 11:39Speaker 3: percent going because I didn't have a passport before all
- 11:43Speaker 3: of this. I've never been out of the country.
- 11:47Speaker 2: So disport. Yes, so you get all your show?
- 11:57Speaker 1: What shots do I need? I'm just kidding.
- 12:01Speaker 2: I'm just kidding. What the military get a series of
- 12:03Speaker 2: seventeen shots?
- 12:04Speaker 3: Oh gosh, Yeah, and there's that like peanut butter shot
- 12:09Speaker 3: or whatever.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Long story outside outside of the realm.
- 12:17Speaker 3: I am up to date on all my vaccinations. Yes,
- 12:20Speaker 3: I I stay vaxed up. My passport arrived actually super quickly.
- 12:29Speaker 3: I did pay for the exit, but it came a
- 12:33Speaker 3: lot faster than I thought it would. So yeah, playing
- 12:37Speaker 3: ticket is booked. Stay in with the A Wall boys
- 12:42Speaker 3: and YEP or the the other thing you'll have to
- 12:49Speaker 3: keep up with because I'm not sure if we'll have
- 12:54Speaker 3: news by next episode. I mean, I hope I have
- 12:59Speaker 3: full information by the tenth, which is the time.
- 13:02Speaker 2: We should be next. Cole already has the full information.
- 13:07Speaker 1: No, I really don't this time, I really, I.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Always every single time, he really doesn't have the information,
- 13:15Speaker 2: but Cole knows.
- 13:17Speaker 1: I don't know what I will be doing one Uh but.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Well, you'll be judging, I'm assuming.
- 13:25Speaker 3: As of now, yes, but that is not the plan.
- 13:30Speaker 3: I just am not one hundred percent sure yet.
- 13:33Speaker 1: We're trying to make.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Sure that there's an English broadcast, so we are working
- 13:38Speaker 3: on that. So if we can get it worked out,
- 13:41Speaker 3: then I will be casting.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Not judging.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Oh look at you.
- 13:47Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, so that'll be that'll be pretty cool.
- 13:51Speaker 3: That'll be a pretty huge honor. And uh yeah. But
- 13:56Speaker 3: the question was what are your guys' highlights of the
- 14:01Speaker 3: last six months or year or whatever.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Well, I think we all know mine. Magpen Horders, that's right,
- 14:10Speaker 2: magpen Horders is my he is my highlight. Sorry, everybody.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Best card in the game, it's really the hunger for
- 14:22Speaker 2: all of you who don't know.
- 14:23Speaker 4: But what is the best A very good card.
- 14:28Speaker 2: It's a very good card.
- 14:30Speaker 1: What is the best card in.
- 14:31Speaker 2: The best card in the game. Somebody had asked me
- 14:36Speaker 2: the other day, what is the best Like the best
- 14:42Speaker 2: card is altern and I said, you know, I don't
- 14:44Speaker 2: really haven't because it's too nuanced, right, like you.
- 14:48Speaker 4: Have cards is different.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Reach, right, each faction is different. Not every faction gets
- 14:55Speaker 2: like It's not like every faction has the same card.
- 15:00Speaker 2: So that's a very very very difficult thing too.
- 15:06Speaker 4: To say, best card is still three busted Mona anchoring uniques.
- 15:14Speaker 4: M M.
- 15:19Speaker 2: I'm trying to sign into my Altered account and I
- 15:21Speaker 2: can't right now for whatever reason.
- 15:24Speaker 3: So this this is a kind of interesting question, and
- 15:30Speaker 3: I won't spend too much time on it because I
- 15:32Speaker 3: do think it could be a whole episode.
- 15:35Speaker 1: But I was watching a.
- 15:39Speaker 3: Really good video actually, and it made me want to
- 15:42Speaker 3: see if we can make one for Altered. But it
- 15:46Speaker 3: was the behind the pro tur wow, behind the pro tour,
- 15:53Speaker 3: I can't say that word correctly. And it was going
- 15:58Speaker 3: through the preparation for the TCG player team as they
- 16:05Speaker 3: were going to the pro tour in Chicago recently, and
- 16:10Speaker 3: like their whole process.
- 16:13Speaker 2: So was it following the crew who like does it?
- 16:18Speaker 1: Or it was following the players?
- 16:22Speaker 2: I would was it the players or was it like
- 16:23Speaker 2: the crew, because like Magic actually has quite an extensive
- 16:31Speaker 2: like cast. I guess that's the best way of putting it.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Like the amount of people that go into that is
- 16:41Speaker 2: actually quite high, I believe, yeah, or not just.
- 16:46Speaker 4: Like social media type stuff for magic production.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Magic production. Magic production wise is very even for those
- 16:56Speaker 2: tiny twitch streams, I shouldn't call them time any thousands
- 16:59Speaker 2: of people are watching those twitch streams, Like you have
- 17:03Speaker 2: multi camera setups. You You've got really some super high
- 17:08Speaker 2: end equipment and technology that go into that. I don't
- 17:13Speaker 2: want to say that, like I applaud it, right because
- 17:17Speaker 2: coming from this end, right, I see what tiny us
- 17:22Speaker 2: does right with just some like some microphones and internet
- 17:25Speaker 2: access and a computer. Right, But then like take that
- 17:30Speaker 2: to a whole other level and it gets dumb, right,
- 17:35Speaker 2: Like give me, give me a budget, and I'll make
- 17:39Speaker 2: some crazy shit happen, right, But unfortunately our budget is
- 17:43Speaker 2: a little on a slim side.
- 17:49Speaker 3: Yeah, So the the what I was just going to say,
- 17:53Speaker 3: is it to your point, it's a lot harder to
- 17:56Speaker 3: pin it down and altered because there's different factions, different heroes,
- 18:01Speaker 3: there's the uniques.
- 18:02Speaker 1: But seeing the meta game in the video.
- 18:05Speaker 3: For the pro Tour was very interesting because the like
- 18:11Speaker 3: top you know, three to five decks are very very
- 18:15Speaker 3: specific decks that the team even called out ahead of time,
- 18:21Speaker 3: and I'm sure they have you know, a couple of
- 18:24Speaker 3: differences of cards here and there, but there's such a
- 18:27Speaker 3: specific deck that they have, like a very specific name
- 18:33Speaker 3: that they fall under, and alter does have the breakdown
- 18:37Speaker 3: of like heroes and whatnot. But if you were to
- 18:41Speaker 3: say there's you know, sixty traced decks, they're not all
- 18:45Speaker 3: the same archtype.
- 18:46Speaker 1: So it was it was interesting.
- 18:50Speaker 3: It looks like the meta is pretty decent in magic
- 18:54Speaker 3: right now. Though the most represented deck being eighteen point
- 18:59Speaker 3: nine percent of the field.
- 19:01Speaker 1: Is is pretty good.
- 19:03Speaker 3: If you know anything about competitive TCGs, it's not uncommon
- 19:07Speaker 3: to see much much higher percentages.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Usually between forty and fifty.
- 19:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I think I think even Grand Archive, I think
- 19:18Speaker 3: there was a period of time where it was like
- 19:20Speaker 3: eighty percent was the same thing.
- 19:23Speaker 1: But yeah, so mag Pen and the whole.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Being more on a serious note, right, I like, I'm
- 19:34Speaker 2: a big fan of mag penhorder. I think you all
- 19:36Speaker 2: you all have knowed, you all know that, And that's
- 19:38Speaker 2: kind of like Wookies fun anecdotal thing that he goes
- 19:43Speaker 2: on a tangent about every now and again. But I
- 19:46Speaker 2: think the real story about this year number one starting
- 19:56Speaker 2: out just the difference between in play in person and online.
- 20:05Speaker 2: How kind of insane that is is that fair to like,
- 20:10Speaker 2: and I'm just the disparities between the two. That's the
- 20:14Speaker 2: only real word I can use for that, right, because
- 20:17Speaker 2: it was very different and the well the metas, I
- 20:22Speaker 2: guess is what I'm saying. The metas, I mean, you
- 20:25Speaker 2: saw a lot of the.
- 20:26Speaker 4: Same mete and in person play are going to be different.
- 20:29Speaker 2: We knew they were going to be different, but just
- 20:31Speaker 2: how different they were I think was kind of nuts.
- 20:36Speaker 2: And then kind of going from like where we were
- 20:40Speaker 2: set one from into the Maze to where we are
- 20:42Speaker 2: set now, which I guess is Skybone Odyssey, which is
- 20:50Speaker 2: now tournament legal. Correct, Just like watching that very first
- 20:58Speaker 2: that very first live in person event and then and
- 21:05Speaker 2: again I didn't get to watch the whole thing, but
- 21:08Speaker 2: like coming home and like popping it on the TV
- 21:12Speaker 2: and oh there's Cole Robbie. Damn he's huge. Like I
- 21:18Speaker 2: did not if you were like, it's gonna be a
- 21:20Speaker 2: Bravos on Bravos matchup, I would have been like you crazy,
- 21:24Speaker 2: Like that's nuts, that's not gonna happen. And then it
- 21:27Speaker 2: totally did, which which was fun to see because it's like,
- 21:32Speaker 2: oh so it really is true. Like it was very
- 21:38Speaker 2: like a very big disparity because if you look at
- 21:41Speaker 2: twenty nine cards, you're not seeing a ton ton of that.
- 21:46Speaker 2: I mean it was happening. I can't say none of
- 21:47Speaker 2: it was happening, but like you know, you don't see
- 21:51Speaker 2: you weren't seeing a ton of ton of ton of Bravos,
- 21:54Speaker 2: like not not the way you'd be like, yeah, that
- 21:56Speaker 2: is the deck to play right now? Is that fair
- 21:59Speaker 2: to say?
- 22:01Speaker 1: Yeah? There, I think just.
- 22:04Speaker 3: They're you know, using that as an specific example is fair,
- 22:10Speaker 3: but just comes down to there were a lot of
- 22:14Speaker 3: surprises across you know.
- 22:17Speaker 4: The lines, right, Yeah.
- 22:20Speaker 3: I think for me, the thing that I always say
- 22:25Speaker 3: is the meta has been interesting and dynamic ever since
- 22:31Speaker 3: the robin Hood change. There was technically also a period
- 22:35Speaker 3: of time where Traced was really dominant until they erotted Haven,
- 22:43Speaker 3: but since then it's been, like.
- 22:46Speaker 2: I think, there's been pretty wide open, right. It seems
- 22:50Speaker 2: that every faction has one hero that could do something special. Yeah,
- 22:56Speaker 2: some factions have more, right, and there's still that disparity,
- 23:00Speaker 2: but every faction has at least one that has that
- 23:05Speaker 2: that that E tier quality, and it's going to be
- 23:10Speaker 2: a lot. It's it's a matchup, it always is, no
- 23:12Speaker 2: matter what card game you're in. There's going to be
- 23:14Speaker 2: a certain level of matchup dependency, right, there is a
- 23:18Speaker 2: certain amount. It's like three things that go into it, right,
- 23:22Speaker 2: A certain amount of skill, a certain amount of deck building,
- 23:26Speaker 2: and a certain one I guess can just go back
- 23:28Speaker 2: to skill, but player skill, deck building skill, and then
- 23:32Speaker 2: like that's half and then the rest is luck, right,
- 23:38Speaker 2: is luck and matchups and draws and RNG. So it's
- 23:43Speaker 2: I think it's been fun to watch. I really hope
- 23:45Speaker 2: they do more of this now that you know, there's
- 23:49Speaker 2: no Asthma Day anymore, right, there's no Yep.
- 23:53Speaker 4: It's a big game that I think there's.
- 23:55Speaker 2: No daddy with big pockets to really push this game,
- 23:59Speaker 2: you know, towards the end it really wasn't being pushed,
- 24:04Speaker 2: but I think it allowed no help. Well, it allowed
- 24:07Speaker 2: them to do it again. Okay, so here's one of
- 24:10Speaker 2: the downsides you ready for this dexter yep, Equinox now
- 24:16Speaker 2: has to do it on their own. And it was
- 24:17Speaker 2: one of those things that didn't really catch my attention
- 24:21Speaker 2: until we talked to Loki, right, because like, now Asthmade
- 24:26Speaker 2: is not paying for Loki to go to and I
- 24:29Speaker 2: don't really know how that relationship and setup worked, but
- 24:33Speaker 2: Asmade is not paying for Equinox to come to your
- 24:36Speaker 2: gen cons your pack ceases all that stuff and have
- 24:40Speaker 2: a table and be set up and all that stuff
- 24:42Speaker 2: that's now all on Equinox themselves.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Yeah, basically how it used to work.
- 24:50Speaker 3: And you're you're right on one side of it, but
- 24:55Speaker 3: on the other side Asthma Dae also stopped to do
- 25:00Speaker 3: that before this happened.
- 25:02Speaker 2: Sure you would not be if you told me that. Again,
- 25:06Speaker 2: my shit, I can't see me, but my shocked face
- 25:09Speaker 2: is on right.
- 25:11Speaker 3: Like yeah, So basically the whole Packs East thing, they
- 25:19Speaker 3: didn't want to pay for Alter to have space, really
- 25:23Speaker 3: they wanted all of the space to go to Star
- 25:24Speaker 3: Wars on the mid it so it was already happening.
- 25:27Speaker 3: But at the same time it is very valid and
- 25:31Speaker 3: that will be true going forward, where it's going to
- 25:36Speaker 3: be a little harder now even for Equinox to make
- 25:44Speaker 3: it out to US conventions because with asthmid A they
- 25:49Speaker 3: had a better chance of just tacking on the side.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Like even if asthmid A didn't.
- 25:56Speaker 3: Give them much help or attention, they were able to
- 26:00Speaker 3: just like you know, be there in the same area.
- 26:03Speaker 2: The Asthma Day was that Asthma day. Was that absentee
- 26:10Speaker 2: father that showed up once a year to take you
- 26:13Speaker 2: to your favorite restaurant, right, Yeah, basically they at least
- 26:18Speaker 2: had some money in their pocket. They they'd take you
- 26:21Speaker 2: out to nice meal once a year, maybe on your birthday,
- 26:25Speaker 2: and then you know, you would never see them again,
- 26:28Speaker 2: or at least till next year. So it just it's
- 26:31Speaker 2: one of those things where now it's on Equinox to
- 26:34Speaker 2: figure that out, and they have to kind of put
- 26:38Speaker 2: that into their plans and kind of figure out whether
- 26:44Speaker 2: that is financially feasible and they're getting enough return on
- 26:51Speaker 2: sending uh sending out the I guess the troops to go,
- 27:01Speaker 2: the troops to go, you know, pimp the game. I
- 27:04Speaker 2: guess it's the only real well I'm going to say.
- 27:07Speaker 3: Yeah, it's going to be a little more grassroots at
- 27:10Speaker 3: least for the next six months.
- 27:13Speaker 2: But yeah, but that's that's that's the loookies, real world.
- 27:19Speaker 2: I guess real I guess surprise or story from from
- 27:24Speaker 2: year one is is both of those items? Yeah?
- 27:31Speaker 1: For sure?
- 27:32Speaker 2: About you, I.
- 27:36Speaker 4: Don't have much to say. I like the marketplace, that's great.
- 27:40Speaker 4: I like the two new sets that are coming out,
- 27:42Speaker 4: and I like the rush mechanical lot.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Nothing really exciting.
- 27:48Speaker 4: I really enjoyed going to gen Con and Dallas and
- 27:52Speaker 4: seeing the structure that they have with op currently. Getting
- 27:55Speaker 4: to see that tournament in person was good, and seeing
- 27:58Speaker 4: the results from the other big qualifiers around is cool.
- 28:02Speaker 4: I'm excited to see what happens at Worlds. I like
- 28:05Speaker 4: following the meta as closely as possible and seeing the
- 28:09Speaker 4: strong decks and then copying them.
- 28:13Speaker 2: Yeah, there you go.
- 28:14Speaker 1: There's a good answer.
- 28:17Speaker 2: To enjoy that decking.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Lots of people.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Do you.
- 28:22Speaker 3: What did you think of going to gen Con and
- 28:26Speaker 3: that experience judging for that and everything, it's.
- 28:31Speaker 4: A lot better than I think a lot of other
- 28:34Speaker 4: games judging experience would be. I mean, everything went smoothly.
- 28:38Speaker 4: I was able to sleep somewhere. Everything was great. I
- 28:42Speaker 4: enjoyed being with the team and hanging out with everyone,
- 28:46Speaker 4: and all the events ran great. It was great experience
- 28:49Speaker 4: to be around altered people.
- 28:51Speaker 2: Yep.
- 28:51Speaker 1: And trying to get Francisco arrested.
- 28:56Speaker 4: I don't remember that, but sure do ye.
- 29:02Speaker 3: He was like, do you want to try this? And
- 29:03Speaker 3: then all of us were like, oh no, no, he's underage.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Don't give him that and.
- 29:07Speaker 4: Actually get a rest for that.
- 29:11Speaker 2: That is all but flying, that's that's applying to an underage.
- 29:17Speaker 2: You're not a minor anymore. Maybe just you would get
- 29:20Speaker 2: in trouble. I'm not sure.
- 29:22Speaker 3: Yep, well, yeah, no, those are those are very good things,
- 29:26Speaker 3: I think. For me, it's just been working with the
- 29:31Speaker 3: Equinox team as much as I have been able to.
- 29:35Speaker 3: Some of them are no longer with the company, which
- 29:38Speaker 3: is unfortunate. But basically almost every single person, well every
- 29:44Speaker 3: single person I've met is wonderful.
- 29:46Speaker 1: And nice in person, and.
- 29:50Speaker 3: The reason I got so attached to the game is
- 29:53Speaker 3: because I got to talk to a lot of them
- 29:56Speaker 3: in h and just the experience of working with them
- 30:03Speaker 3: compared to working with Star Wars Unlimited was leaps and
- 30:09Speaker 3: bounds better. So, and I'm sure it continues to be
- 30:14Speaker 3: that way, at least as far as I know currently.
- 30:18Speaker 2: So all right, should we get into our We got
- 30:24Speaker 2: a couple of new articles that you wanted to point
- 30:27Speaker 2: out this week. It looks to me like the oop
- 30:31Speaker 2: that's the wrong one? Is this the right one? Let's
- 30:35Speaker 2: find out, yes, there it is. This looks to me
- 30:37Speaker 2: like the card view is changing on the marketplace. It
- 30:40Speaker 2: looks like they will basically be narrowing this down. Instead
- 30:46Speaker 2: of the actual pictures of the cards, it'll just kind
- 30:49Speaker 2: of be names the market I shouldn't even say the
- 30:53Speaker 2: marketplace because the marketplace is now being smushed together with cards.
- 31:02Speaker 4: Yeah, so everything's under card views now. They added a
- 31:06Speaker 4: whole bunch of new filters.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Here.
- 31:09Speaker 4: You can see everything that's on the market in the
- 31:12Speaker 4: cards view and use different filters there actually is.
- 31:16Speaker 1: It's life.
- 31:17Speaker 2: I thought it was not coming up yet.
- 31:21Speaker 3: Yeah, so they they posted a new uh Ui update,
- 31:26Speaker 3: and some people were confused because they were used to
- 31:30Speaker 3: going to the market tab, but now it's just all
- 31:33Speaker 3: under cards. Grade out cards.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Will be ones that you do not own.
- 31:41Speaker 3: Some people have complained about the gray cards should not
- 31:47Speaker 3: be gray in the marketplace or something like that, because
- 31:50Speaker 3: they can't tell what card it is or.
- 31:55Speaker 2: Something if it turns colors.
- 32:00Speaker 4: Yeah, but on the phone it's harder to do that,
- 32:03Speaker 4: and it's harder to see what the rarity is.
- 32:05Speaker 2: Yep.
- 32:05Speaker 3: I was gonna say, I think it's mostly a complaint
- 32:09Speaker 3: for people using it on mobile, But this is the
- 32:13Speaker 3: first part of an update, so maybe there are a.
- 32:15Speaker 2: Few things that I I mean, maybe I'm seeing it
- 32:18Speaker 2: for the first time. I don't travel into the cards
- 32:21Speaker 2: section too often. There's a lot of cards that I
- 32:26Speaker 2: guess I don't own, which I'm kind of actually surprised by.
- 32:29Speaker 1: But like aholican your cards either.
- 32:32Speaker 2: It's also true a cappella training like in the beginning, right,
- 32:36Speaker 2: You've got like these what are these ones in the beginning?
- 32:38Speaker 2: Like I just clicked out beyond the gig because that's
- 32:40Speaker 2: what I own probably the biggest chunk of there's some
- 32:44Speaker 2: a cappella trainings here like that have alternate art.
- 32:48Speaker 4: Yeah, those were alternate arts from the Adventure.
- 32:51Speaker 2: Pass from the Adventure, all of.
- 32:54Speaker 4: The medication, physical a cappella, all the training cards.
- 32:58Speaker 2: Said yeah, because I didn't get to have any fun
- 33:04Speaker 2: because nobody plays it around me. I should really probably
- 33:07Speaker 2: play on, should really play on what you'll call it.
- 33:11Speaker 2: But I don't go arena because I'm ornery old man.
- 33:17Speaker 4: It's okay, but uh, a lot recently with the new
- 33:23Speaker 4: set testing out new decks, still have no idea what's
- 33:27Speaker 4: going to be good.
- 33:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm that's the kind of side note.
- 33:31Speaker 3: But I'm very excited for the season to basically start
- 33:35Speaker 3: up tomorrow. So we can kind of kind of see
- 33:38Speaker 3: what's going on and what the meadow is like. But yeah,
- 33:43Speaker 3: if you can't find the marketplace tab, just go to
- 33:47Speaker 3: cards and it has some very nice updates, and if
- 33:50Speaker 3: you're a little confused, there is a whole article about
- 33:54Speaker 3: it and all the new features and how you can
- 33:57Speaker 3: toggle it and everything like that. Favorites, YadA, YadA. It
- 34:03Speaker 3: is very very nice, and it is actually kind of
- 34:07Speaker 3: really cool to hover over a gray card and watch
- 34:11Speaker 3: it come to life with color, just like just doing
- 34:14Speaker 3: that on PC.
- 34:15Speaker 1: For sure.
- 34:17Speaker 3: It also just made me realize that season one I
- 34:22Speaker 3: was not able to get a full Adventure Pass because
- 34:27Speaker 3: things were still just starting up and it was before
- 34:29Speaker 3: we had the online support allowed. I did not get
- 34:35Speaker 3: the rare meditation training.
- 34:38Speaker 1: And the rare is super cool.
- 34:40Speaker 3: It's like a fully manifested elk compared to just wisps
- 34:45Speaker 3: in the Magic of Meditation training, so super cool.
- 34:52Speaker 2: Yep.
- 34:52Speaker 4: Love some of the alternate art cards that they've had
- 34:55Speaker 4: for the Adventure Pass stuff, Yep.
- 34:59Speaker 1: Always always super cool. But yeah, that's just a.
- 35:02Speaker 3: Quick little update there. The next thing is honestly, probably
- 35:07Speaker 3: more exciting to most people, but people still find a
- 35:11Speaker 3: way to complain about it, of course.
- 35:13Speaker 2: Hold on how the world wig? Okay, so I could
- 35:16Speaker 2: do it by rarity, but how do I do it
- 35:18Speaker 2: by unique?
- 35:21Speaker 1: You just go to filters and then do unique.
- 35:24Speaker 3: They've they've kind of always separated it that way, and.
- 35:29Speaker 1: I've gotten really used to it. Some people don't like it.
- 35:35Speaker 1: I think it kind of makes sense because.
- 35:39Speaker 2: Oh, you got to light up this, Okay, I see, and.
- 35:43Speaker 1: Then you have you have all so you can see
- 35:47Speaker 1: all of.
- 35:47Speaker 2: The Yeah, you get. I mean there are some good
- 35:50Speaker 2: functions here. I mean you can get rid of certain
- 35:53Speaker 2: sets that you don't want to see. You can see
- 35:57Speaker 2: everything from an entire set. It's it is really cool
- 36:02Speaker 2: because I'm just actually playing with that a little bit
- 36:04Speaker 2: right now. But a lot of people every unique ever printed?
- 36:12Speaker 4: Though?
- 36:13Speaker 2: Or is this just scanned?
- 36:16Speaker 4: Ever scanned?
- 36:17Speaker 2: So one I one thing I'd like to see is
- 36:25Speaker 2: that might get crazy. Never mind, I'm not going to
- 36:26Speaker 2: say it because people are gonna be.
- 36:28Speaker 4: Like, they're never going to do it. Key I know
- 36:31Speaker 4: it's a good idea for key Forge, but not.
- 36:33Speaker 2: Altered well, because it's like what if I find one
- 36:35Speaker 2: in here, right and it's like I really like this one,
- 36:40Speaker 2: but it's got no price, and I want to context
- 36:46Speaker 2: this person.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Yeah, there's people that have definitely suggested it.
- 36:50Speaker 3: I I am on the side of, well, it's it's
- 36:55Speaker 3: not that it's hard to implement. I just don't want it. Please,
- 36:57Speaker 3: don't ever do.
- 36:58Speaker 4: It people asking for your cards.
- 37:02Speaker 1: No, if I want to sell it, I'll put it
- 37:04Speaker 1: on the market. Don't bother me.
- 37:07Speaker 2: This is also yeah, this is yeah. I mean he's
- 37:09Speaker 2: not wrong, right, Like, if I was looking to sell it,
- 37:13Speaker 2: I'd put it on the marketplace. But I mean, let's
- 37:15Speaker 2: also say, if someone was willing to offer you an
- 37:17Speaker 2: absurd amount of money, wouldn't you want to hear that?
- 37:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:23Speaker 3: I think the only way that I would be okay
- 37:26Speaker 3: with it is if it remained anonymous.
- 37:30Speaker 1: I'm I'm sure there's been at.
- 37:32Speaker 3: Least once or twice in KeyForge where someone really wanted a.
- 37:38Speaker 1: Deck and they found out who had it.
- 37:40Speaker 4: And they just like, well do we do that all
- 37:42Speaker 4: the time?
- 37:43Speaker 3: Okay, No, But I'm saying, like, think of the worst
- 37:45Speaker 3: type of people. I'm sure someone's gone.
- 37:48Speaker 1: A little too far to try and get it. Think
- 37:51Speaker 1: of that. I mean, I'm not talking about money.
- 37:57Speaker 3: I'm talking about people like badgering and consistent.
- 38:01Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe even.
- 38:03Speaker 2: And he used to do too, maybe not so much threatening,
- 38:06Speaker 2: but like Z was big, and key Forge at least
- 38:10Speaker 2: was big into like, hey, you really want to stack?
- 38:13Speaker 2: What what will it cost? You know? Was this much?
- 38:15Speaker 2: This much that? You know? Yeah, I could see it
- 38:18Speaker 2: being like no, I'm not interested and then just being
- 38:22Speaker 2: very frustrating if and people are gonna be like, well,
- 38:24Speaker 2: I don't want to use it because now I'm just
- 38:26Speaker 2: gonna be badgered constantly. So I can see the I
- 38:31Speaker 2: can see the positives and the negatives to both.
- 38:34Speaker 3: Yeah, if it remained anonymous, then it's whatever.
- 38:37Speaker 2: And then if you would like to offer an amount
- 38:40Speaker 2: of money for any of my uniques, please reach out
- 38:43Speaker 2: to me. I am the wookie on this cord.
- 38:47Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 38:47Speaker 1: I think it would be much worse with uniques.
- 38:50Speaker 2: Unless it's a mag pen horder kicks the dumb's mind. Yeah.
- 38:57Speaker 3: A lot of people also don't know that these search
- 39:00Speaker 3: does allow for I think it's called unicode. So if
- 39:05Speaker 3: you put in brackets, the fancy brackets like JA, it
- 39:10Speaker 3: will actually search. I can't remember what they are, but
- 39:14Speaker 3: if you can find a list of I think J
- 39:17Speaker 3: is from anywhere. It's like the arrow and then h
- 39:22Speaker 3: is from hand.
- 39:23Speaker 1: So it does.
- 39:25Speaker 3: It has supported that for a very long time.
- 39:27Speaker 1: People just don't know.
- 39:29Speaker 2: Also, people don't know how to use there's not a
- 39:31Speaker 2: ton of well maybe there are, I said, there's not
- 39:33Speaker 2: a ton of people out there who also know how
- 39:35Speaker 2: to use unit computers. That yes, that as well.
- 39:43Speaker 4: Yeah, one of those people.
- 39:45Speaker 2: Unicode is one of those things where like you either
- 39:47Speaker 2: know it or you don't, and it's a very helpful
- 39:49Speaker 2: helpful tool if you know it, but if you don't,
- 39:51Speaker 2: it's very frustrating.
- 39:54Speaker 1: So yep, but onto the cooler thing for the most.
- 39:57Speaker 2: Pool stuff for all the cool people. I just closed
- 40:02Speaker 2: that article. I can just the compensation cards that you balanced, slashed, erotted.
- 40:13Speaker 1: I can give you a quick quick breakdown.
- 40:16Speaker 2: Quick overview, so we we can we can do stuff
- 40:21Speaker 2: and things.
- 40:22Speaker 3: Yes, so this is a system where if you've had
- 40:28Speaker 3: a card that's been erottued or banned literally whatsoever. It
- 40:34Speaker 3: even includes Willow Wisp and like some other cards that
- 40:40Speaker 3: I was very surprised to get credit for.
- 40:45Speaker 1: You will get a.
- 40:47Speaker 3: Pod credit of twenty five cents per card and then
- 40:54Speaker 3: it is a maximum of three cards. Perfection and per rarity,
- 41:00Speaker 3: so they have an example here, if you own four
- 41:03Speaker 3: common Robinhoods and one rare Robinhood, you would receive a
- 41:09Speaker 3: total of one dollar in compensation three times twenty five
- 41:13Speaker 3: for the commons, one times twenty five for the rare,
- 41:17Speaker 3: and then for uniques the system is the same, but
- 41:21Speaker 3: there's not a limit of three cards. All impacted uniques
- 41:25Speaker 3: will be compensated at twenty five percent or twenty five
- 41:28Speaker 3: cents per card, and for band unique cards, they will
- 41:33Speaker 3: give you one random unique card from the current set
- 41:37Speaker 3: for each band card.
- 41:39Speaker 1: You own at the time of compensation.
- 41:43Speaker 3: So this went retroactive as well. And if you have
- 41:48Speaker 3: not checked your wallet, you very well might have already
- 41:53Speaker 3: received some credit depending on what cards that you have,
- 41:58Speaker 3: and there should have been a breakdown as well if
- 42:03Speaker 3: you didn't know. If you go into your wallet and
- 42:06Speaker 3: you go into the history where you see the pod
- 42:11Speaker 3: credit was given, should have been around the twenty ninth
- 42:13Speaker 3: of last month, it'll tell you what cards you had.
- 42:17Speaker 3: So I had a bunch of Willow wisps, I had
- 42:21Speaker 3: three Afawness Free Havens, you know a.
- 42:26Speaker 1: Couple other things here and there. The only card currently.
- 42:33Speaker 3: That it matters for on uniques being banned is the
- 42:38Speaker 3: jellyfish as they did not find a way to fix
- 42:44Speaker 3: all the jellyfishes. Those cards will be loaded into your
- 42:49Speaker 3: account the week of October sixth, and you will get
- 42:56Speaker 3: one unique.
- 42:57Speaker 1: To replace your jellyfish on there.
- 43:01Speaker 3: Then there's just a bunch of other details in like
- 43:03Speaker 3: FAQ and stuff like that.
- 43:06Speaker 1: The main thing to know is this is.
- 43:11Speaker 2: A breakdown. I don't see a breakdown. I see that
- 43:17Speaker 2: I got a credit. Click on the credit to all
- 43:20Speaker 2: click on it.
- 43:21Speaker 1: Okay, and then yep yep.
- 43:26Speaker 2: So wait, do I get all because he's not he's
- 43:29Speaker 2: not lame because he's not only got because robin because
- 43:36Speaker 2: the the robin hood's not technically banned. So I only
- 43:42Speaker 2: got what did I get? Twenty five cents?
- 43:46Speaker 4: Twenty cents for a unique card to a max of three?
- 43:51Speaker 1: You had a unique robin hood?
- 43:53Speaker 2: They did? I had a unique robin hood and Lyra
- 43:55Speaker 2: I have two.
- 43:57Speaker 3: Yeah. The thing is is unique robin hoods are still
- 44:00Speaker 3: hypothetically good. There's people that will still place them. So
- 44:04Speaker 3: you got twenty five cents because you're unique, changed but
- 44:08Speaker 3: you can still use it.
- 44:10Speaker 2: Yeah, because you got technically they are now yehechnically.
- 44:14Speaker 3: So the thing the most important thing to know about
- 44:18Speaker 3: this is it's retro and proactive, so if you are
- 44:24Speaker 3: in a country where you haven't been able to activate
- 44:27Speaker 3: your wallet yet, when that country opens up. Also, this
- 44:33Speaker 3: is just a guess, I promise, I don't actually know
- 44:37Speaker 3: based on responses I've read from in talks and things
- 44:41Speaker 3: they've said around the wallet's being deactivated right now, I
- 44:46Speaker 3: think this month we will hear pretty big news about
- 44:51Speaker 3: more countries being added.
- 44:53Speaker 2: So by that that means this month you'll hear about
- 44:56Speaker 2: more countries being added.
- 44:59Speaker 1: Hey, I don't, I don't, I don't lie in promises.
- 45:03Speaker 3: It's just my guess as what will happen.
- 45:09Speaker 1: But if you activate your wallet, then you'll get the credit.
- 45:12Speaker 3: If you scan a unique jellyfish or a unique robin
- 45:17Speaker 3: hood that you open, you know three months down the line,
- 45:20Speaker 3: you'll get the credit, YadA, YadA.
- 45:24Speaker 1: It is a very cool system.
- 45:27Speaker 3: And I was incredibly surprised when I got credit for
- 45:31Speaker 3: even willow WISP because the the errata is not necessary,
- 45:39Speaker 3: like functionally a detriment. It was just a change so
- 45:44Speaker 3: that it fits better into Skybound Odyssey. Yeah, you said
- 45:52Speaker 3: you only got nine dollars in something dexter, that's more
- 45:55Speaker 3: than I got, yeah, got six six fifty, So well.
- 45:58Speaker 1: I don't.
- 45:59Speaker 3: I don't scan extras super often. I have the donation boxes,
- 46:03Speaker 3: so there's probably cards I do have that I just
- 46:06Speaker 3: didn't skin.
- 46:06Speaker 4: I mean, it was still only to a max of
- 46:08Speaker 4: three for your robin hoods, but I mean I probably
- 46:11Speaker 4: have three of all the commons and rares for all
- 46:14Speaker 4: the ones that they were giving you twenty five cents on.
- 46:18Speaker 4: So yeah, and I haven't had a few unique robin
- 46:21Speaker 4: hoods and jellyfish yep.
- 46:24Speaker 3: So the the complaint, of course is twenty five cents
- 46:29Speaker 3: per card that doesn't even let me print, uh the eratted.
- 46:33Speaker 1: Card or whatever.
- 46:35Speaker 3: I think it's important to realize that no other TCG
- 46:39Speaker 3: does this.
- 46:41Speaker 1: This is incredibly a lot more.
- 46:46Speaker 2: Yeah, we cannot say you're about a yoga pop of
- 46:50Speaker 2: the TCG world. This is incredibly generous. Like I understand, like, oh,
- 46:58Speaker 2: just twenty five man. They didn't have to give you shit. Literally,
- 47:05Speaker 2: they owed you nothing. I remember back in the day
- 47:10Speaker 2: when a card got banned or rota, you were I
- 47:13Speaker 2: mean still to this day, when a card is banned
- 47:15Speaker 2: a rotted in some game, you're just fucked. Yeah, talk
- 47:21Speaker 2: to all those people who bought jeweled lotuses for their
- 47:24Speaker 2: Commander decks that's now banned in that format. Ask them
- 47:28Speaker 2: if Wizards is paying them fucking shit for those things. Yeah,
- 47:33Speaker 2: answer if anybody was answering and wondering.
- 47:38Speaker 3: I always like to bring up the story of Bucky
- 47:40Speaker 3: in Lord Kanna and that whole scheme of how you
- 47:43Speaker 3: got the new card. But the other, the other thing
- 47:48Speaker 3: that I think is important is sure technically it's you know,
- 47:53Speaker 3: about a dollar to print a card. You don't have
- 47:58Speaker 3: to spend a dollar to buy the card, but it
- 48:01Speaker 3: is a dollar to print it.
- 48:04Speaker 1: But you don't.
- 48:05Speaker 3: You're not forced to. Is the other thing about Altered
- 48:10Speaker 3: you You are not required to play the erotted card.
- 48:15Speaker 3: Because of the QR code and how Altered's card system works.
- 48:20Speaker 1: You can play.
- 48:21Speaker 3: An old Robin Hood just the only thing that is
- 48:25Speaker 3: required is you have to tell your opponent, oh, hey,
- 48:29Speaker 3: this card was erotted. This is what it really says,
- 48:32Speaker 3: and if they want to scan it to confirm they can.
- 48:35Speaker 1: So.
- 48:36Speaker 3: I also believe a lot of TCGs will not let
- 48:41Speaker 3: you play the original card.
- 48:44Speaker 2: If it's not they will, probably they will, or its
- 48:48Speaker 2: probably most of them. Most of them do. But you
- 48:52Speaker 2: have to play it. You have to play it as
- 48:56Speaker 2: the erotted version, right, like you can't feel you know, obviously,
- 49:00Speaker 2: I think that goes without saying. But you know, I'm
- 49:03Speaker 2: sure somewhere somewhere along the line somebody was like, oh, yeah, definitely,
- 49:07Speaker 2: this is what it does. Weird, you know, Like and
- 49:09Speaker 2: that guy that part, that poor sap who was playing
- 49:12Speaker 2: against them, was like, that card's busted. You know, it
- 49:14Speaker 2: just didn't realize it. But yeah, I'm sure it's happened
- 49:18Speaker 2: somewhere along the way. But no, I mean, I have
- 49:21Speaker 2: played TCGs and CCGs for years. Typically if a card
- 49:24Speaker 2: is erotted, like you still play with the same card.
- 49:28Speaker 2: You typically don't even have to At high levels, you
- 49:31Speaker 2: don't have to tell your opponent because like at a
- 49:34Speaker 2: high level, it's kind of just expected you understand the errata, right.
- 49:39Speaker 3: So, I mean, but this brings up a good question
- 49:43Speaker 3: that we can use to explain that happened to me.
- 49:47Speaker 3: I opened a duplicate key Forge deck. Is there anything
- 49:51Speaker 3: that I can do to get refunded for that or
- 49:53Speaker 3: get a different deck?
- 49:54Speaker 2: Yeah, you can contact ghost Galaxy and tell them I
- 49:58Speaker 2: got a duplicate deck. You use their little supported galaxy
- 50:03Speaker 2: dot com. No, I don't know if they're I believe
- 50:06Speaker 2: they are just sending new ones now. So originally what
- 50:08Speaker 2: they were doing is they were sent they can. They
- 50:12Speaker 2: stopped doing twin decks because it takes there's a much
- 50:17Speaker 2: different process to doing twin decks as there was to
- 50:19Speaker 2: doing just giving you and it was just easier to
- 50:23Speaker 2: give you new decks. So I believe you're able to
- 50:26Speaker 2: use their support at GG and tell them like, hey,
- 50:31Speaker 2: I got a dupe deck and they just send you
- 50:33Speaker 2: probably just send you a new PV deck because that's
- 50:35Speaker 2: what's being printed right now.
- 50:37Speaker 1: Do they do they like mail you physically a deck
- 50:40Speaker 1: or just give you the code.
- 50:42Speaker 2: No, they mail you physically a deck. There's no online
- 50:45Speaker 2: for KeyForge. Yeah, so it's not like well they're sort
- 50:51Speaker 2: of kind of is nothing nothing uh official, right, Yeah,
- 50:58Speaker 2: but they're not like not like Asthma Day and FFG,
- 51:03Speaker 2: who don't even fucking recognize TCO, because they very much
- 51:08Speaker 2: are grateful and happy that TCO is a thing and
- 51:14Speaker 2: happy I mean that they do it for free for them.
- 51:16Speaker 2: But other than that, like I mean because ship for
- 51:21Speaker 2: years and years and years, f FG was like, what's TCO.
- 51:24Speaker 2: It's like Comumbro you know there, you know what it is.
- 51:28Speaker 3: Yeah, but they have a weird policy about online clients.
- 51:34Speaker 2: Yeah, and I know they shut down like there was
- 51:36Speaker 2: a Star Wars one. I think they shut that one down,
- 51:38Speaker 2: right yep, because yeah, yeah, because they they wanted to
- 51:48Speaker 2: do their own or whatever.
- 51:51Speaker 3: But the the reason that I got a duplicate was
- 51:54Speaker 3: like a major fuck up.
- 51:55Speaker 2: Right, yeah it was. It was so this is You've
- 52:02Speaker 2: got to remember that it was the first set for
- 52:04Speaker 2: everything coming back, right, so that the algorimorithm wasn't perfect.
- 52:11Speaker 2: So there there were a few decks that slipped out that.
- 52:17Speaker 4: Were printed multiple times.
- 52:21Speaker 2: Printed a couple, well, print it twice.
- 52:24Speaker 3: Yeah, I guess, I guess a poor example. I'm glad
- 52:27Speaker 3: that they do, uh fix the major fuck.
- 52:30Speaker 2: Up because they used to do twin decks. Now they
- 52:33Speaker 2: just send you a new deck and then like here
- 52:34Speaker 2: you go. But I just have to do that probably
- 52:38Speaker 2: cheaper and easier for them to be like, here's a
- 52:40Speaker 2: new deck. Good time.
- 52:42Speaker 1: Yeah it is. It is a very good policy.
- 52:46Speaker 3: I was surprised with how far it extended. And I'm
- 52:51Speaker 3: looking forward to my lottery ticket unique next week. Basically
- 52:57Speaker 3: sometimes it'll be it'll be very interesting. The uniques from
- 53:03Speaker 3: Skybound Odyssey are looking pretty cool as well, so hopefully I.
- 53:08Speaker 1: Get something interesting.
- 53:10Speaker 3: We haven't received OP pack at my lgs yet, hopefully
- 53:15Speaker 3: we have them miss Thursday.
- 53:17Speaker 1: I only have one unique from sky.
- 53:20Speaker 2: Asthma Day is still in charge of Skybone Odyssey, right.
- 53:25Speaker 3: Yeah, which I guess I can talk. I can comment
- 53:30Speaker 3: on that real quick because it's been kind of funny,
- 53:34Speaker 3: so from all.
- 53:35Speaker 2: Of my funny ha haas or funny in a terrible way.
- 53:40Speaker 1: Maybe a little both.
- 53:43Speaker 3: From yeah, from all of my conversations, it was thought
- 53:49Speaker 3: of that Asthma Day would continue to sell Set four
- 53:54Speaker 3: and previous for like you know, a while or whatever,
- 53:58Speaker 3: because they probably still have stuff, and that is possibly
- 54:02Speaker 3: still true. But since they are not doing it afterwards,
- 54:10Speaker 3: they've been like dumping everything on.
- 54:13Speaker 2: Doing what they did the key forge or fire sale
- 54:15Speaker 2: in that ship.
- 54:17Speaker 3: Yeah, so good news for us that go to weekly
- 54:21Speaker 3: OP every week.
- 54:22Speaker 1: We've been getting a ton of extra.
- 54:25Speaker 3: OP pecks and I've seen people like get posters and
- 54:30Speaker 3: you know, little deck boxes and other things because Asthma
- 54:34Speaker 3: Day just like tossed it in a storage order.
- 54:38Speaker 2: Are they doing have they done the altered yet? What
- 54:42Speaker 2: they did the key Forge and just start dumping boxes
- 54:46Speaker 2: at incredibly low prices.
- 54:50Speaker 3: Uh not yet, but I have heard that they are
- 54:54Speaker 3: going to start shredding stuff at.
- 54:56Speaker 1: Some point, which is they're going to shred it here.
- 55:00Speaker 3: Yeah, so I think, I mean, it's a very common
- 55:04Speaker 3: practice in a capitalist society, which is super unfortunate. Like
- 55:10Speaker 3: I worked at a you know, game store, and when
- 55:14Speaker 3: they had an xcess amount of games or whatever, instead
- 55:17Speaker 3: of you know, hey, just give these out for free
- 55:20Speaker 3: or you employees take them home, they would always be
- 55:23Speaker 3: like pick them out back and take a razorblade across
- 55:25Speaker 3: the disks and throw.
- 55:26Speaker 1: Them in the garbage.
- 55:28Speaker 3: So it's it's stupid stuff, but I think they're at
- 55:32Speaker 3: least trying to send off as much as they can
- 55:35Speaker 3: before they start doing that.
- 55:36Speaker 2: And then what they I don't know forge is they
- 55:40Speaker 2: just sold it for pennies on the dollar, Like literally
- 55:43Speaker 2: you were able to buy boxes of the stuff, and
- 55:46Speaker 2: I guess maybe it's a little different because they didn't
- 55:48Speaker 2: know if this was coming back or not. I mean literally,
- 55:52Speaker 2: they were selling key Forge for ten to twenty dollars
- 55:56Speaker 2: a box and just getting what they could out of it,
- 56:00Speaker 2: which obviously was super detrimental to the game. I was
- 56:03Speaker 2: hoping they weren't going to do it to this so
- 56:04Speaker 2: it sounds like they're not going to, but you never
- 56:07Speaker 2: know Tasthma Day, they might just be like, hey, yeah,
- 56:12Speaker 2: I guess they wouldn't have Kickstarter boxes, but you know,
- 56:16Speaker 2: Skybound Odyssey boxes for twenty bucks.
- 56:20Speaker 3: Yeah. The downside is because they seemingly don't care anymore.
- 56:29Speaker 3: It looks like distribution of Skybound Odyssey has been pretty rough,
- 56:35Speaker 3: which is awesome to see because you know, there's stores
- 56:41Speaker 3: that haven't gotten their boxes yet and my store, like
- 56:47Speaker 3: I said, doesn't have opie packs yet, which is actually
- 56:51Speaker 3: pretty normal for Asthma Day. But people not being able
- 56:55Speaker 3: to buy booster boxes is unfortunate and it seems a
- 57:00Speaker 3: little worse this time.
- 57:02Speaker 2: So so for you investment UH gurus out there, buy
- 57:09Speaker 2: up all the Skyborne odyssy you can because it'll be
- 57:13Speaker 2: very tough to get and then one day you'll find
- 57:17Speaker 2: it all to Goodwill in Minnesota, right across the street
- 57:21Speaker 2: from right across the street from the games enter. Didn't
- 57:25Speaker 2: hear that from me?
- 57:27Speaker 3: You got to go to that Goodwill like just once
- 57:31Speaker 3: a week, every Wednesday or something, and see.
- 57:33Speaker 2: Well, I wish I lived there, and I totally would
- 57:35Speaker 2: when key Forde was going out, but that was that
- 57:38Speaker 2: was the rumor. Is like somebody went to Goodwill and
- 57:41Speaker 2: literally like just picked up gobs of key ford stuff
- 57:44Speaker 2: because they because like a key forder used to have
- 57:47Speaker 2: a prize wall. So when you went to a Vault tour, right,
- 57:50Speaker 2: you could use your your Ember shards and buy sleeves
- 57:54Speaker 2: and T shirts and hoodies and hats and uh and
- 57:58Speaker 2: Messenger Blake. They just had all this merchandise that you
- 58:01Speaker 2: were able to do. And I'm sure they have something
- 58:04Speaker 2: very similar in Star Wars, but they're big.
- 58:09Speaker 1: They'll be want to altered worlds.
- 58:11Speaker 2: Yeah, like you just be able to get like promos
- 58:14Speaker 2: and you know, just cool stuff. Right, and we're on
- 58:18Speaker 2: the street, is like when the algorithm was lost and
- 58:21Speaker 2: they're just like, we're not doing anything. When they knew
- 58:24Speaker 2: they weren't going to do anything with the game anymore,
- 58:27Speaker 2: they just dumped it to the goodwill. That's literally like
- 58:29Speaker 2: literally there's a good will across the street from from
- 58:35Speaker 2: the studio, the Asmade studios in Minnesota, So they just
- 58:40Speaker 2: dumped it all there. And so supposedly one guy went
- 58:43Speaker 2: in one day and just bought it all up. Yeah,
- 58:49Speaker 2: it's Asmida is such a such a crazy company sometimes
- 58:54Speaker 2: so but buy up all up, buy it all up now,
- 58:58Speaker 2: so that you know it'll be I'm sure so yeah.
- 59:03Speaker 3: Uh the other the other things here in the main topic,
- 59:07Speaker 3: I can run through the next two super quick and
- 59:11Speaker 3: then scold everyone for the last bullet part bullet point.
- 59:15Speaker 3: But they've started doing something really cool that I have
- 59:19Speaker 3: not read yet, but I need to. Which are the
- 59:22Speaker 3: stories so far articles on the website. So if you
- 59:27Speaker 3: don't know, in Altered the Lore, we are playing like
- 59:32Speaker 3: directly within the lore. So Beyond the Gates was just
- 59:36Speaker 3: that we were leaving the gates for the first time
- 59:39Speaker 3: in hundreds of years and then try by Frost. You know,
- 59:43Speaker 3: we were going through frozen tundra, YadA YadA YadA. Whispers
- 59:47Speaker 3: from the Maze, we go to the City of Scholars.
- 59:49Speaker 3: There's all the maze stuff. We have the tumult events
- 59:54Speaker 3: where we're trying to figure out what we're doing. The
- 59:56Speaker 3: big story of Whispers from the Maze was are we
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: going to eradicate the hunger or are we going to
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: find out what it wants and try to, you know,
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: work with it in some way.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: But if you cannot.
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: Read every single lower article that happens during the season,
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: they now have the story so far articles. I think
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: there's two of them that can catch you up a
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: little quicker on the story. The lore for Altered is
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: super duper cool and those are just on the Altered
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: dot gg website. The while it creation is paused, I
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: already mentioned that before. There is something coming is what
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: they've said. That is why it is paused for right now.
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: And outside of that or tied to that, there will
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: be information coming out on October fifteenth of you know
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: what stores are going to see, what people are going
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: to see with.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: All the game found and YadA YadA.
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: The last bullet point is, you guys all killed a
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: little girl. I did not.
- 1:01:07Speaker 4: We who is this? I did nothing?
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: Okay? Uh did you?
- 1:01:13Speaker 4: Oh?
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: Did you?
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: You did not play in a tumult? Did you dexter?
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: I know I did. I played into tumults?
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: Okay, So you did kill a little girl?
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: Oh well, I won with Axiom and then I also
- 1:01:30Speaker 4: lost the other time.
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: Okay, So let's let's look at this team team eradicate
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: the Hunger. Who's on that?
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: Oh? Axiom? Okay? So uh so I have not read.
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: The lower yet, so I'm not the right person to
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: describe what happened or who's was. But basically, the Hunger
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: was a younger girl named Sophia, and something happened, you know,
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: something involving the sap and other things, and she became
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: the Hunger. The factions that won the Tumult Championship picked
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: to eradicate the Hunger, and.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: Thus they killed the little girl as well.
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: There is art. I thought they posted it somewhere here.
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: The art is actually really sad because from the Tumult
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: results we got the Sophia first out post, which is
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: a landmark, and I can't find the art easily right now.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: But there is a version of the art.
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: That we would have gotten if we appeased the Hunger
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: and helped Sophia. Instead of just the scene of the outpost.
- 1:03:13Speaker 3: There's a little like ghostly girl just chilling on the rooftop.
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: But we killed her, so no, no more, and good job.
- 1:03:25Speaker 4: Everybody, that's good to me. We got any card good enough?
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: You would have got the card either way without killing her.
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: Maybe you would have gotten two if you didn't kill her.
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: Oh you never know. That would be a fun thing
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: for them to do, because I do enjoy these little
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: story events that the tumults that really affect the story
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: and all that good stuff. But that would be a
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: fun thing for them to do, to be like, you
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: have two outcomes, and obviously they don't tell you the outcome, right,
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: be like, oh, if you do this, you get this.
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: If you do this, you get this, but like all
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: of a sudden at the end, to be like, all right,
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: well you did this, this is what you get. And
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: then it would have been like you could have gotten.
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: If you could complain so much good you know, it
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: sounds to me it would be great.
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: It would be great. I didn't get to talk to
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: Loki for long, but it sounds to me like he'd
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: relish of that kind of thing, to be like, well,
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: you know, think and make better choices. Yep, you know.
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: So it's that's kind of where I'm at. It's like,

- 1:05:02Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah we have. We haven't really been doing a
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: good job of pimping that. So make sure you head
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: over to the Patreon, you know, ask us some questions
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: over there. You get the you do get the episodes
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: early most times.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: The last one was my bad bos, but you get
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: that last one.
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: You do get the episodes early, and uh yeah, that's
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: where we're at right now. It does help benefit you
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: as that is what helps do all the not the
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: a wall but the ace uh stuff that mister Cole

- 1:05:57Speaker 2: I don't want to drink terrible energy drinks that are
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: bad for me. Well you could get yourself some a
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: w dot gg is totally sugar free, keeps you live
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: alert and awake. It's basically it's it's basically like adderall.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: That'd be a good way to sell it.
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: W WGG didn't say that that's the look he's saying.
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: So I just want we got to make sure that
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: we're clear on that one. I'll tell you guys the
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: story about that another time, about all the whole weird
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: adderall bullshit that used to be in Competitive magic. But
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: go over them, help us out. We don't have any
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: shirts yet. Maybe one day we'll make some shirts for
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: this show. I haven't really decided on a Maybe I
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: should just slap our logo on a shirt and then
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: make sure you go over all the normal things are happening, right,
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: the No Unique Challenge, Yeah.
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: For events, the nu see has like their own bull
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: server now with a ton of events, so I'm not
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: even gonna try to list all of them.
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: I love those guys, I like I like the no Unique,
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: the no Unique stuff. I'm a big fan of the
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: proponent of it. I dexter. When you're old like me,
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: you don't even have time to play with yourself, just saying.
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: And A Wall returns tomorrow, which is October sixth, will
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: continue on Monday and Wednesday since all of the admin
- 1:07:39Speaker 3: team will be in France, but there will be a
- 1:07:41Speaker 3: break during that week. But ACE will return in November
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: because I'm not as crazy as Simon. I will take
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: a break before I start up the season, but we
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: are doing a special event sometime this week depending on
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: the votes.
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: If you jump into this.
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: Discord if you haven't already, you might be able to
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: catch it, depending on when you hear this and when.
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: You join and when it happens.
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: But I am working on a revamp of the Altered
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: Corner website that will have events be much more consistent
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: and have a little more information easy or to see,
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: so you can check it out on Altered Corner dot com.
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: The Patreon also helps pay for that, which just going
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: off of analytics and things like that, it does do
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: a decent job of letting people know what.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: Events are where and when. So yeah, that's.
