  [SPEAKER_00]: It is in the first time that we've had to come together as a community and trying to fight for our human rights, and now especially it's not just affecting the queer community but many other communities and I think that

  [SPEAKER_01]: And the data back set up overwhelmingly, there was an AP poll that found that 60% of Americans disapproved of professional athletes who refused to stand for the national anthem,

  [SPEAKER_01]: Nearly 6 and 10 Americans, 58 percent, said that not standing for the anthem can never be seen as an act of patriotism and roughly the same number called a disrespected or country to the military and to fellow Americans.

  [SPEAKER_01]: The very people competing against alongside, I should say, Hassan Glenn, believe political grandstanding does not belong at the games.

  [SPEAKER_01]: A U-Gap poll taken during the 2022 Winter Olympics confirmed the trend among the general public, a clear plurality of Americans, said athletes should not be allowed to publicly protest at the Olympic Games under our flag.

  [SPEAKER_01]: because the Olympic teams for those who are there to represent the nation that gave them this incredible privilege and opportunity in the first place.
