- 0:01Speaker 1: In this corner, standing at six foot five, weight class unknowns,
- 0:04Speaker 1: but hailing from the city of Sands. Put your hands
- 0:06Speaker 1: together for Jamison Wells. And in this corner, standing at
- 0:10Speaker 1: five foot ten, weighing in at pound and coming to
- 0:14Speaker 1: us from his super secret bunker with no AC in Tucson, Arizona.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Put your hands together for Luis Montemayor.
- 0:27Speaker 2: All right, thank you. Welcome back to another episode of
- 0:29Speaker 2: Mixed Company Podcast. I'm one a half of the show.
- 0:32Speaker 2: I'm Jamison and Dromo Luis as always, Luise, what's going on? Man?
- 0:36Speaker 3: Hey, Jamison, Good to be back. Getting into the summer months,
- 0:40Speaker 3: getting a little sweaty out there, but you know, the
- 0:43Speaker 3: only thing hotter than the temperature out there is our
- 0:45Speaker 3: Fuego takes on the boxing world. So yeah, we got
- 0:49Speaker 3: a lot to talk about today. We had a really interesting,
- 0:51Speaker 3: exciting boxing match over the weekend. Keishaan Davis returned to
- 0:55Speaker 3: the ring to rematch now You're All brightltely dominant performance.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Interesting that there was no knockout and Kishan had difficulty
- 1:05Speaker 3: knocking out the last dude he fought in the Shakur
- 1:09Speaker 3: Tale Femo fight. Settling into his weight class, but we'll
- 1:13Speaker 3: start here. I mean, what did you think of Kishan's performance?
- 1:16Speaker 3: I know you were. We were both down on him
- 1:18Speaker 3: after he screwed up and didn't make weight. Uh is
- 1:21Speaker 3: he coming back into our good graces? Are we are
- 1:23Speaker 3: we fans again? Where are we at?
- 1:25Speaker 2: He is? But I'm not really mean it was all
- 1:27Speaker 2: right him having to struggle that much to make weight.
- 1:30Speaker 2: To me, that means you're not taking things seriously like that.
- 1:34Speaker 2: To me, that's a very big sign. If you gotta lie,
- 1:37Speaker 2: get extra time to make weight and all that kind
- 1:40Speaker 2: of stuff, it leads me to believe that you not
- 1:42Speaker 2: taking the job seriously. Now, I'm not saying that it's
- 1:45Speaker 2: difficult for him to get to the way he's supposed
- 1:47Speaker 2: to get at. That happened for a lot of guys.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Some guys just have a very hard time getting that
- 1:51Speaker 2: end up moving up because of that. And that's fine. However,
- 1:54Speaker 2: once you set up for something, you have to meet
- 1:57Speaker 2: that like that's your job, like that's your patient, Like
- 2:00Speaker 2: you have a day job. I got a day job.
- 2:02Speaker 2: There's shit we gotta do or else. He gotta figure
- 2:05Speaker 2: that out. And if you don't figure that out, you
- 2:08Speaker 2: know he has to move up. And that's where it's like,
- 2:10Speaker 2: it's kind of disappointing because it's not the first time
- 2:12Speaker 2: this has happened. And also too, it's like, what have
- 2:14Speaker 2: you been doing? Like, what's what's the off season been like,
- 2:19Speaker 2: what's what's the training been like, what's the discipline been like?
- 2:23Speaker 2: So it's like these things matter. If they're all little things,
- 2:26Speaker 2: they all become bigger things as things go on, because
- 2:28Speaker 2: things of like this, when he gets in a big
- 2:31Speaker 2: fight with someone, if these bad habits continue, he's not
- 2:35Speaker 2: gonna win set fight. It won't happen because these habits,
- 2:39Speaker 2: these things don't just stop happening. These are the things
- 2:43Speaker 2: that is who you are. This who you is, who
- 2:46Speaker 2: you are as a boxer. So for me, it's more
- 2:48Speaker 2: of like, hey man, you had to struggle to make way. Yes,
- 2:50Speaker 2: you thought somebody you're gonna beat. Regardless, we get that,
- 2:53Speaker 2: we understand that. It is what it is. There's some
- 2:55Speaker 2: weird stuff in the ring with the bie slam or
- 2:57Speaker 2: whatever you want to call it. It wasn't a fan
- 2:59Speaker 2: of it, but we all all that being said, he
- 3:02Speaker 2: did win. He is gonna go forward. Hopefully he gets
- 3:05Speaker 2: a much competitive fight going forward. I want to see
- 3:08Speaker 2: him fight somebody with his equal or similar talent level.
- 3:12Speaker 2: I think that's the thing we got to mention with
- 3:14Speaker 2: these young guys is we see them with too many
- 3:16Speaker 2: tune up fights and not in a fight through their
- 3:18Speaker 2: challenge so where they got to dig deeper. So I
- 3:20Speaker 2: like to see him fight a better opponent going forward.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Yeah, this was kind of not much of a of
- 3:26Speaker 3: an opposition for him. Uh And this is a rematch
- 3:29Speaker 3: that the second fight between him and all Bright because
- 3:31Speaker 3: there was no contest because Keishn tested positive for marijuana.
- 3:35Speaker 3: It turns out after that fight, which I gotta tell you, man,
- 3:39Speaker 3: do why not give a shit about that? Like that's
- 3:41Speaker 3: that's ridiculous. It's not like it's a performance enhandser Like
- 3:44Speaker 3: I get it, rules or rules, but you can't it
- 3:47Speaker 3: can't be one size fits all. If you know he's right,
- 3:50Speaker 3: if he's smoking weed, how is that really going to
- 3:53Speaker 3: you know, affect this performance. Honestly, I'm more impressed that
- 3:56Speaker 3: he has a good performance if he does have if
- 3:58Speaker 3: he is getting high, Like I don't know.
- 4:00Speaker 2: He does so much for people, right, so most people
- 4:03Speaker 2: would calm you down. Hell a lot of people. It
- 4:06Speaker 2: helps the recovery process. Right, So if you're training and
- 4:10Speaker 2: you're going through getting in shape, staying in shape, the
- 4:13Speaker 2: ring words of that, sometimes we help smelling you out.
- 4:17Speaker 2: So I think it's I think it's crazy. I think
- 4:19Speaker 2: weed is obviously a legal drug for the most part,
- 4:22Speaker 2: most where we live at especially, but I don't think
- 4:25Speaker 2: it should be something that I wouldn't be concerned about
- 4:27Speaker 2: that if my box was smoking, I wouldn't be concerned
- 4:29Speaker 2: about that at all, not even close.
- 4:31Speaker 3: Yeah, that is like the last thing that I've ever
- 4:34Speaker 3: cared about as a boxer is smoking when he's not.
- 4:36Speaker 3: And yeah, you're right, it's pain management as well, so
- 4:40Speaker 3: people use it for a lot of different reasons. So
- 4:42Speaker 3: I think that's ridiculous. But that's neither here nor there.
- 4:45Speaker 3: I just kind of wanted to mention that, Yeah, I
- 4:46Speaker 3: think it's really really stupid that that happened. So we
- 4:49Speaker 3: got to talk about the body slam moment. Now, you're
- 4:52Speaker 3: all bright was clinching a lot. The ref had to
- 4:54Speaker 3: separate them a whole bunch of times. You can go
- 4:56Speaker 3: ahead and say that Naiir was clinching too much, that's fine,
- 4:59Speaker 3: but Kishan picked him up, flipped him over, and slammed
- 5:04Speaker 3: him onto the ground on the canvas, and I think
- 5:05Speaker 3: that's bullshit. I think that's unsportsman. Like a lot of
- 5:08Speaker 3: commentaries on Instagram, we're just praising on Kishan's side, saying
- 5:13Speaker 3: that's what he gets for clinching. You know, you you
- 5:15Speaker 3: show his ass, blah blah blah. I don't like that
- 5:18Speaker 3: at all. I think, yeah, it's it's it's I think, honestly,
- 5:21Speaker 3: beyond dirty boxing, you're just being an asshole. But I
- 5:24Speaker 3: always want to see what your thoughts were on that
- 5:26Speaker 3: hold a buckle.
- 5:27Speaker 2: I mean, I'm never a fan of that happening in
- 5:29Speaker 2: the ring because there's a lot of issues that could
- 5:30Speaker 2: happen with that and some might get real, really hurt
- 5:33Speaker 2: from that. But with Kishan, my thing is is like,
- 5:37Speaker 2: you you got to get so back into good races.
- 5:40Speaker 2: I wouldn't want a chance to do anything that can
- 5:42Speaker 2: mess that up. So for him it's like, hey, man,
- 5:45Speaker 2: be careful because you know, we don't need you injuring
- 5:48Speaker 2: yourself or somebody else doing something like this. So that's
- 5:51Speaker 2: kind of where I'm at with it all. We're all
- 5:54Speaker 2: so stating the fight was never in jeopardy, so it
- 5:59Speaker 2: wasn't like it was in safety was at rins ring
- 6:03Speaker 2: like that. Once you do something like that, all hell
- 6:05Speaker 2: can break loose. We've seen where things like that happen
- 6:08Speaker 2: and commotion could start. So I'm never really for those
- 6:12Speaker 2: type of things. With all that being said, though he
- 6:14Speaker 2: did put together a good performance, it's just that the
- 6:17Speaker 2: whole all, it's never smooth with him. It's always something.
- 6:22Speaker 2: It's the weight stuff, it's this stuff. We're not talking
- 6:24Speaker 2: about his boxing, we're talking about everything else. But I
- 6:27Speaker 2: think that's be a problem when it comes to a
- 6:29Speaker 2: lot of these young boxeres. We're not talking about their
- 6:31Speaker 2: skills that, we're talking about the extras, and that has
- 6:33Speaker 2: to change.
- 6:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm glad you said it like that because that's
- 6:37Speaker 3: the exact same thing that came to mind during that fights.
- 6:40Speaker 3: It's always something with this guy. And yeah, we've seen
- 6:45Speaker 3: boxers get frustrated and you know, last shouty they start
- 6:48Speaker 3: you know, punching too low or or headbutting or whatever
- 6:51Speaker 3: when they're losing, and they just kind of they just
- 6:54Speaker 3: lose their shit. Kyshaw was never at a disadvantage in this,
- 7:00Speaker 3: Like every round he was looking great, he was doing great.
- 7:02Speaker 3: So yes he was show voting. Maybe he just got
- 7:06Speaker 3: you know, to got super into you know, the crowd
- 7:09Speaker 3: being on the side and wanted to show off. But yeah,
- 7:12Speaker 3: this honestly, like I said, I think it's kind of
- 7:14Speaker 3: ridiculous too that the fans are praising this and saying that,
- 7:17Speaker 3: you know, he's a badass or whatever. I mean, there's
- 7:20Speaker 3: rules to the damn sport, and it's already dangerous enough.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Like you said, people get actually hurt, real bad people
- 7:25Speaker 3: have died in this dammering. You don't need to make
- 7:27Speaker 3: it more dangerous than it is when you're following the rules.
- 7:30Speaker 3: So uh, definitely a bad look and just definitely not
- 7:35Speaker 3: something that we should we as fans should be saying
- 7:38Speaker 3: is okay for a fighter to do. Uh, the ref
- 7:40Speaker 3: did take away two points. I can't remember the last
- 7:43Speaker 3: time a ref took two points away, right, that's crazy.
- 7:48Speaker 3: Like I was, I was actually shocked.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Get go ahead, So it's good if you bring it up.
- 7:52Speaker 2: We don't see that often. I think if it was
- 7:54Speaker 2: a closer fight, I think it's only a one point deduction.
- 7:57Speaker 2: But since the fight was what it was, the res'
- 7:59Speaker 2: gonna act up. It is what it is.
- 8:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I forget the ref's name, but who he was,
- 8:06Speaker 3: but he just looked very, very annoyed the whole fight,
- 8:09Speaker 3: just kind of pissed that having to keep separating them,
- 8:12Speaker 3: and you know what, just the whole attitude of both fighters,
- 8:16Speaker 3: the ref's face, it just looked like he was over
- 8:18Speaker 3: the ship, to be quite honest with you, And it
- 8:20Speaker 3: was very funny. He was kept slapping dow Abart's hands
- 8:23Speaker 3: down like he wasn't tapping. He was like smacking his
- 8:27Speaker 3: gloves to when he was clinching. So it just felt
- 8:30Speaker 3: like a like like the the middle school teacher who's
- 8:34Speaker 3: like close to retirement is just over everybody ship in
- 8:37Speaker 3: early May, uh is how I saw it. But yeah,
- 8:42Speaker 3: but yeah, I was honestly, honestly surprised that that it
- 8:46Speaker 3: was a two point deduction because I try to think back,
- 8:49Speaker 3: usually if someone I've seen people like throw a punch
- 8:52Speaker 3: after the bell, that's a one point deduction, it's either
- 8:55Speaker 3: it's either one point deduction or a disqualification if it's
- 8:58Speaker 3: something really bad. But two points at once, that's that
- 9:01Speaker 3: was wild. I was just honestly surprise. But I don't know,
- 9:05Speaker 3: I don't know how I feel about Keishan overall. I
- 9:09Speaker 3: he still is very talented. He looks good in the ring,
- 9:12Speaker 3: and it was a dominant performance, but it's it's it's
- 9:15Speaker 3: hard to call myself a fan after all this stuff.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Will I watch him fight again? Sure, but there is
- 9:22Speaker 3: a difference in you know, how how I'm gonna if
- 9:24Speaker 3: I'm just gonna watch a fight because I like watching
- 9:26Speaker 3: boxing or really rooting for this guy to succeed. He's
- 9:29Speaker 3: just not making it easy, you know.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Right, I agree? I agree, and also too, he's too
- 9:35Speaker 2: talented for this ship, like he's gonna move up and wait,
- 9:37Speaker 2: that's cool, but he's too talented for this, like he
- 9:40Speaker 2: actually has a legit future in the sport. It just
- 9:42Speaker 2: has to come down to him in his camp, Like
- 9:44Speaker 2: if they're not gonna be honest with him, they're not
- 9:45Speaker 2: gonna hold him acountable, then it's gonna be what it's
- 9:47Speaker 2: gonna be. But we're gonna see he's gonna get tested
- 9:50Speaker 2: one of these fights and we won't see how good
- 9:53Speaker 2: he really is.
- 9:54Speaker 3: I believe he was gonna fight Edwin Delo Sentos when
- 9:57Speaker 3: he didn't make weight, and you know, Edwin Doessn has
- 10:01Speaker 3: never been the most difficult competition for people, so he's
- 10:07Speaker 3: already not Keishan is already not facing you know, elite competition,
- 10:11Speaker 3: and he's already up to some bullshit in Shenanigan. So
- 10:14Speaker 3: it doesn't bode well. But I don't know, we'll see.
- 10:17Speaker 3: I mean, he's he's definitely definitely had the hometown crowd
- 10:22Speaker 3: on his side. It doesn't seem that his you know,
- 10:25Speaker 3: people are turning on him at all over this. I
- 10:28Speaker 3: kind of feel like I'm going crazy when I'm seeing
- 10:30Speaker 3: people just continuing to praise him after all of this.
- 10:33Speaker 3: So I don't know. All right, next up here on
- 10:37Speaker 3: the list. You know this, we've been talking about David
- 10:40Speaker 3: Benavidez at nauseum for the last few weeks after his
- 10:43Speaker 3: Secret of My performance. I did have one thing to
- 10:46Speaker 3: mention because last time we talked about how the possibility
- 10:50Speaker 3: of David Benavidez fighting Alexander Ussek was brought up by
- 10:54Speaker 3: Turkey Ela Shak and I said, I was super excited
- 10:57Speaker 3: about it. That's a fight I want to see. However,
- 11:00Speaker 3: I came across the clip of David benavide saying he
- 11:04Speaker 3: is interested in moving up to heavyweight, but he was
- 11:07Speaker 3: thinking maybe when he's like thirty five. He said, I
- 11:10Speaker 3: just moved a cruiserweight. I don't think I'm gonna move
- 11:12Speaker 3: up right away. I want to take some time. He's
- 11:14Speaker 3: twenty nine now, So if he does do it and
- 11:18Speaker 3: he sticks to the plan, I think we all have
- 11:20Speaker 3: to temper our excitement for a Benavidez versus Usk fight.
- 11:24Speaker 3: And I can't imagine that if that's what his plans are.
- 11:29Speaker 3: And you know, he knows moving up to cruiserweight to
- 11:32Speaker 3: effort and he wants to take his time where he's
- 11:34Speaker 3: at now, there's a way a fight between him and
- 11:37Speaker 3: a heavyweight could be made next year, even if it
- 11:39Speaker 3: is by Turkeyella Shak and there's all the Saudi money involved,
- 11:42Speaker 3: is there? I mean, what do you how possible do
- 11:43Speaker 3: you think that is?
- 11:45Speaker 2: Never say never? But I get where he's coming from, though,
- 11:47Speaker 2: because here's the thing. Once you make that leap, that's
- 11:50Speaker 2: who you are. So he's not ready to be a
- 11:52Speaker 2: full time heavyweight. You don't make that fight because once
- 11:55Speaker 2: you go there, you are now a heavyweight. So now
- 11:58Speaker 2: you're fighting guys anyway from one ninety all the way
- 12:01Speaker 2: up to whatever. So that's not what you want to do.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Don't do it. So I get I get where he's
- 12:07Speaker 2: coming from he actually has a smart camp because a
- 12:10Speaker 2: lot of people would chase the money, and I think
- 12:13Speaker 2: somebody's gonna be there for him. Now with that being said, hell,
- 12:17Speaker 2: there might be a there might be a price he
- 12:19Speaker 2: might get that he may have never thought of before.
- 12:22Speaker 2: If someone offer you one hundred plus million, who are
- 12:26Speaker 2: we just say no? Who we tell him no, I
- 12:28Speaker 2: don't do it. You know, if that's with his frame,
- 12:32Speaker 2: his frame has a his frame looks like it could
- 12:36Speaker 2: be a heavyweight frame. I'm not saying he should do it,
- 12:39Speaker 2: but the way his body is, the way his height is,
- 12:41Speaker 2: the way his shoulders look, I could see him being
- 12:44Speaker 2: a heavyweight and not really stopping much. With all that
- 12:47Speaker 2: being said, you can't go back to cruiserweight. You can't
- 12:50Speaker 2: go back to like, uh, you know, super middle kingdom
- 12:53Speaker 2: or not. That's out. You can't go once you go
- 12:56Speaker 2: to like one ninety two. You just can't. You just can't.
- 13:00Speaker 2: So that's where I'm very curious to see one of
- 13:03Speaker 2: the other options. Now we've heard all before. We keep
- 13:07Speaker 2: hearing the same kind of names I heard, I guess,
- 13:10Speaker 2: and like some more talks, preliminary talks, I think we've
- 13:13Speaker 2: heard as the words Street, So we'll see. That's cool.
- 13:16Speaker 2: But I don't think that's the biggest fight that can
- 13:19Speaker 2: get the most odds and ears out there. But I
- 13:22Speaker 2: do think it's something where people would be excited for.
- 13:25Speaker 3: Agreed, And yeah, I said, I get caught up in
- 13:28Speaker 3: the hype as well, and you know, the rumors or
- 13:30Speaker 3: you know whatever people want to talk about the next
- 13:32Speaker 3: big thing is because I have said that I wanted
- 13:35Speaker 3: to see bev versus bena Vitas. That's kind of my
- 13:38Speaker 3: dream fight of this year. But then they brought a
- 13:40Speaker 3: USA came up and I started, you know, getting hype
- 13:43Speaker 3: again and say, holy shit, what about this? Yeah, I'm human,
- 13:47Speaker 3: you know, I love the sport and I get stoked
- 13:48Speaker 3: about things like that. But yeah, maybe we kind of
- 13:51Speaker 3: pull back a little bit. I'll pull back a little
- 13:52Speaker 3: bit on my excitement here because let's say that David
- 13:57Speaker 3: bena Vita stick to his sticks, to his word and
- 14:00Speaker 3: wait till he's you know, in his mid thirties, Like
- 14:02Speaker 3: what's USA gonna be? It's like mid forties, like it
- 14:06Speaker 3: it's one of those like not now or never. But
- 14:09Speaker 3: you can't wait too too long no for a Nusik matchup,
- 14:12Speaker 3: especially since there's always gonna be the excuses, Oh, you
- 14:16Speaker 3: beat an old guy, you know, you know it was well.
- 14:18Speaker 2: You know what, though, I don't think once you get
- 14:21Speaker 2: in the ring, I think it is what it is
- 14:23Speaker 2: like once people agree, I just think, hey man, this
- 14:27Speaker 2: is this is how it goes. This is a situation.
- 14:29Speaker 2: That's what it is, and that's how it is. So
- 14:33Speaker 2: we'll see. But I don't think I don't think that'll
- 14:36Speaker 2: be the problem. I don't think.
- 14:37Speaker 3: So Okay, well, and let's also not forget that Usik
- 14:41Speaker 3: himself is talking about only what like three more fights,
- 14:43Speaker 3: say maybe a Fury three and uh something else three
- 14:48Speaker 3: to four, which we'll put him in like fighting in
- 14:51Speaker 3: for another two years or so, you know, depending on
- 14:55Speaker 3: where you know, how often he's he gets back in
- 14:57Speaker 3: the ring each year. So it just seem seems like
- 15:00Speaker 3: this is very unrealistic. You're right, though, Benavidez is a
- 15:04Speaker 3: big is a popular name, he's a star. But yeah,
- 15:07Speaker 3: he's never been offered the huge, you know, one hundred
- 15:11Speaker 3: million dollar deal, right. I think definitely him deciding to
- 15:17Speaker 3: go up, you know, he was he was at super
- 15:19Speaker 3: mid of weight because he was Canell's mandatory one sixty
- 15:21Speaker 3: eight and he kept moving up. But I think that's
- 15:24Speaker 3: also a natural progression. Is he getting older and bigger
- 15:27Speaker 3: b fear So he's probably about where he should be
- 15:30Speaker 3: for a while. So I don't I don't think we
- 15:34Speaker 3: should really really be getting into thinking about David Benavidez
- 15:40Speaker 3: at heavyweight reels soon eventually, sure, but I think yeah,
- 15:43Speaker 3: he's It's a smart move and a smart thing to say.
- 15:48Speaker 3: I just kind of kind of coming back and saying,
- 15:51Speaker 3: probably shouldn't have gotten that hype at the thought of
- 15:54Speaker 3: Benavidez fighting Gousic next year.
- 15:56Speaker 2: That sair, that's fair.
- 15:58Speaker 3: So another thing here, more ZUFA boxing Shenanigans brought to
- 16:02Speaker 3: us by Dana White. I'm not a fan. I would
- 16:05Speaker 3: be fair to say we're not fans of Dana White, right, Jamison.
- 16:08Speaker 2: N not with boxing. He can do what ever he
- 16:12Speaker 2: wants in the UFC when it comes with boxing. The
- 16:14Speaker 2: things I'm hearing, none of them are really good, Like
- 16:17Speaker 2: they're trying to basically make boxing like UFC and ask
- 16:22Speaker 2: not how this works.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Yeah, the latest thing he was hinting at was a
- 16:25Speaker 3: ZUFA might sign Shaquur Stevenson, which I don't like that
- 16:29Speaker 3: idea I get what he's doing. He's signing big names
- 16:33Speaker 3: for big paydays, like Shakur, like Connor Ben. But he's
- 16:39Speaker 3: the reason he's doing that is to build up hype
- 16:41Speaker 3: so that he can not pay the younger fighters the
- 16:44Speaker 3: big bucks. So he's putting a lot of money up top.
- 16:47Speaker 3: It's kind of like how Costco sells. They're a rotisserie
- 16:51Speaker 3: chicken for so cheap because they lose money on it,
- 16:53Speaker 3: but that gets you in the store. Right, that's literally
- 16:56Speaker 3: proven that it's the money they spent on advertising, they
- 16:59Speaker 3: spend on losing the profits on the chicken. But you
- 17:03Speaker 3: get in and you go to the back and you're
- 17:04Speaker 3: already in the Costco.
- 17:05Speaker 2: There you go. It's the reason why they put it
- 17:06Speaker 2: in the back, not the front. You've got to pass
- 17:08Speaker 2: up so many items to get to that that you're
- 17:12Speaker 2: going to buy something else that they make profit on.
- 17:14Speaker 2: And that's kind of the process here, right, pay names,
- 17:17Speaker 2: pay the big fighters, the guys that have a name,
- 17:20Speaker 2: people have a following that everybody else you underpay. And
- 17:24Speaker 2: that's what they're do in the UFC. And I don't.
- 17:26Speaker 2: I'm not a fan.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Agreed, and neither is Roy Jones Junior. He made. He
- 17:31Speaker 3: has not been shy about sharing his thoughts on Dana
- 17:33Speaker 3: White and ZUFA Boxing. Roy Jones Junior said this could
- 17:37Speaker 3: kill the sport. Like there's an article released on a
- 17:39Speaker 3: website called uh do Fight Spider? I believe it was. Sorry,
- 17:45Speaker 3: I don't know anything about that website, but yeah, he
- 17:49Speaker 3: Roy Jones is saying that Dana Whites's involvement ZUFA boxing
- 17:52Speaker 3: changes to the Muhammad Ali Act could actually kill the
- 17:55Speaker 3: sport of boxing overall. I know you and we have
- 17:58Speaker 3: always said that boxing is always going to be okay,
- 18:00Speaker 3: It'll always have a home and have backers. But do
- 18:02Speaker 3: you think it's a possibility that the support as we
- 18:04Speaker 3: know it will become dominated by a Dana White like
- 18:07Speaker 3: UFC is.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Dominated. No, because there's still so many promoters involved and
- 18:13Speaker 2: there's still so many people doing their own things. I
- 18:15Speaker 2: don't think it'll be dominated. My biggest thing is this,
- 18:18Speaker 2: like who's making the decisions, Who's like who's calling all
- 18:23Speaker 2: the shots? Is it so Saudi, is it Dana? Is
- 18:27Speaker 2: it Boxers? Like who's in charge? Until we kind of
- 18:30Speaker 2: figure that out, we're all kind of guessing here. With
- 18:33Speaker 2: that being said, I prefer the way things are now,
- 18:38Speaker 2: I don't want zu ZUFA being involving it. Uh, we
- 18:41Speaker 2: can stick to the way of the way things were.
- 18:43Speaker 2: I guess I could just say, but noah, man, we
- 18:46Speaker 2: need to chill. We need to chill because I'm not
- 18:49Speaker 2: a fan of short short paying people for their their services.
- 18:54Speaker 2: I'm not a fan of that. If you're gonna have
- 18:56Speaker 2: someone box, they need to get paid their full freight
- 19:00Speaker 2: and that should be that so to me, in my opinion,
- 19:05Speaker 2: the less Dana White in ZUFA involved, the better of
- 19:09Speaker 2: the sport. My only issue is I don't know if
- 19:13Speaker 2: we have the continuity amongst boxers and promoters to make
- 19:17Speaker 2: it happen.
- 19:18Speaker 3: Yeah. You know. Another thing that Roy Jones brought up
- 19:21Speaker 3: was the is the financial aspect of it, and he
- 19:24Speaker 3: said that Connor McGregor made more in like one boxing
- 19:27Speaker 3: match than he did his entire career as a UFC guy.
- 19:31Speaker 3: That's wild to me, that's just absolutely well being. Connor
- 19:34Speaker 3: McGregor is one of those few names of UFC fighters
- 19:37Speaker 3: that I know, and I don't know any of those
- 19:38Speaker 3: sons of bitches. So and Roy Jones saying too, he's
- 19:44Speaker 3: not a fan of underpaying people. That if if that's
- 19:47Speaker 3: what the UFC model is. You need to keep it
- 19:49Speaker 3: the hell away from boxing, and I agree, Yeah, I agree.
- 19:53Speaker 3: I just don't know. You know, we're at a point
- 19:56Speaker 3: here where Dana White has a lot of money, a
- 19:59Speaker 3: lot of political and a lot of a lot of fans.
- 20:02Speaker 3: You know, there are people he's become his own brand
- 20:05Speaker 3: now and there are fans of UFC combat sports that
- 20:09Speaker 3: will follow him because he's He's an ape.
- 20:12Speaker 2: So it's deeper than that. UFC is. Basically they have
- 20:17Speaker 2: taken the side of when it comes to politics, and
- 20:21Speaker 2: they have made it abundantly clear on what side they
- 20:24Speaker 2: stand on. Boxing has never really done that. Boxing has
- 20:27Speaker 2: been boxing. You can be from either side, you can
- 20:29Speaker 2: come watch. We're not gonna favor one side or the other.
- 20:33Speaker 2: You don't really want boxing to become that because boxing
- 20:36Speaker 2: has own issues. If that element comes into boxing, who
- 20:39Speaker 2: knows what happens, and that's where it can get weird. Now,
- 20:42Speaker 2: I don't think it would because the sports are different
- 20:45Speaker 2: and the participants in the sports are way different, So
- 20:48Speaker 2: I don't think that would happen. But even the thought
- 20:50Speaker 2: of that is kind of scary because boxing, as we
- 20:55Speaker 2: know it is built off of God, coming from less
- 20:59Speaker 2: fortunate background and coming from situations to where you have
- 21:03Speaker 2: to fight to basically survive. And I don't know bringing
- 21:08Speaker 2: in someone who is a billionaire who did not have
- 21:12Speaker 2: to do that coming up, it doesn't quite understand boxing
- 21:15Speaker 2: like that. I don't know if that helped, especially for
- 21:18Speaker 2: what his company's doing on the other side, I don't
- 21:20Speaker 2: know if that works. So I hope that his say,
- 21:24Speaker 2: his action are limited.
- 21:27Speaker 3: Agreed. Yeah, no, I've said it before, have said it
- 21:31Speaker 3: on you know comments responding to our TikTok videos. You know,
- 21:35Speaker 3: Dana White is bad for boxing, and Oscar Deloya has
- 21:38Speaker 3: spoken up. He's definitely never been a fan. He's Oscar
- 21:42Speaker 3: Deloya has done his little what do you called clapback
- 21:45Speaker 3: videos where he's talking shit and yeah, he's also not
- 21:49Speaker 3: very shy about how he feels about Dennis influence. So
- 21:52Speaker 3: when you got guys like wrote Jones, guys like Oscar,
- 21:55Speaker 3: you know, legends in the sport who've been Oscar still involved,
- 22:00Speaker 3: that has been in love most of his life, you know,
- 22:03Speaker 3: I'm gonna listen to him. I'm sorry, like, I'm gonna
- 22:05Speaker 3: listen to him more than I do. Uh, Dana White,
- 22:07Speaker 3: who's UFC is completely on a on another playing field,
- 22:11Speaker 3: a different level. So we're gonna keep keep an eye
- 22:15Speaker 3: on what happens with with ZUFA boxing. I really hope
- 22:17Speaker 3: she course doesn't sign. I've already bummed about Richester Hitsians
- 22:22Speaker 3: uh heading over there. Speaking of our boy Devin Benavidez,
- 22:26Speaker 3: he said that Gio Pattia he signed with ZUFA, but
- 22:30Speaker 3: he wouldn't fight him because they can only fight for
- 22:33Speaker 3: a ZUFA belt or something like that. So I don't know.
- 22:36Speaker 3: But again, Ryan Garcia is also talking about fighting Connor Ben.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I get. I think that's official actually, as
- 22:43Speaker 2: like last night or something like that. But here's the thing.
- 22:46Speaker 2: You can't once you start splitting leagues and splitting fighters,
- 22:50Speaker 2: the support doesn't work. Like we just saw that with golf.
- 22:52Speaker 2: Golf just tried. That didn't work. You can't split the town.
- 22:55Speaker 2: There's not enough good boxers to do that, and to
- 22:59Speaker 2: split them and have one on one platform one on another. Nah. No,
- 23:03Speaker 2: I mean we already have difficulties as is what guys
- 23:07Speaker 2: fighting consistently, when they're fighting, where they're fighting, how to
- 23:11Speaker 2: watch the whole nine. We don't need a whole nother no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 23:15Speaker 2: We can barely keep ahead of the belt. Now. The
- 23:19Speaker 2: whole belt thing is weird because a lot of guys
- 23:21Speaker 2: are giving up their belts so they don't want to
- 23:22Speaker 2: pay the sanction of fees. So the average fan can
- 23:25Speaker 2: barely keep up who has what belts? Now, so you're
- 23:28Speaker 2: asking us to track of another belt and another requirements situation. No, no, no, no, no,
- 23:33Speaker 2: that does not work. That does not work.
- 23:36Speaker 3: I agreed. I've I've never really been that down on
- 23:39Speaker 3: the what they called the four belt era. It's kind
- 23:42Speaker 3: of cool when the fighters try to, you know, go
- 23:43Speaker 3: for undisputed and watching them do that, but that's about
- 23:46Speaker 3: the limit, Like, let's let's stick there to where we are.
- 23:50Speaker 3: And then yeah, there's people vacate too, because not just
- 23:53Speaker 3: from the sanctioning fees, but they don't fight mandatories, they
- 23:57Speaker 3: change weight classes, and now you've got people fighting for
- 24:00Speaker 3: a vacant belt. It's it can be. It can be fun,
- 24:04Speaker 3: but it could also be too damn complicated for a
- 24:06Speaker 3: sport that that I love because of its siblicity. To
- 24:08Speaker 3: be quite honest with you, unlike other sports, I don't
- 24:12Speaker 3: have to remember team names. I don't have to remember
- 24:14Speaker 3: you know, uh whatever the half dozen players on a
- 24:17Speaker 3: singles team versus the other one. Uh So, yeah, there's
- 24:20Speaker 3: there's no reason to to make boxing this complicated. Okay,
- 24:24Speaker 3: moving on to the next topic here. You know, in general,
- 24:27Speaker 3: I kind of wanted to talk about where it looks
- 24:29Speaker 3: like the rest of the let's say, the rest of
- 24:31Speaker 3: the summer is going, because we've got a lot of
- 24:34Speaker 3: names coming back this month, in the next couple of months,
- 24:37Speaker 3: basically between now and September. When when canelobites. Sure, not
- 24:41Speaker 3: all of them are you know, not all of them,
- 24:44Speaker 3: but probably are super exciting or hype, but they do.
- 24:47Speaker 3: They are names, and I was kind of interesting. It's
- 24:50Speaker 3: it's kind of like a like a stacked few months. Oo,
- 24:53Speaker 3: Sik is fighting a kickboxer this very weekend if you
- 24:57Speaker 3: listen to what it airs, And yeah, I'm not excited
- 24:59Speaker 3: about that, but Usik is a name. Uh And we
- 25:03Speaker 3: also got you know, the cards pretty good. We got
- 25:05Speaker 3: Jack Caterroll from from England. Richard Torres Junior. He's a
- 25:11Speaker 3: becoming heavyweight who Sean porter mentioned to me when I
- 25:14Speaker 3: interviewed him that Richard Torres is somebody to keep an
- 25:17Speaker 3: eye out on. I've seen him fight before, I've seen
- 25:19Speaker 3: him fight live. Definitely hasn't had you know, elite competition yet.
- 25:23Speaker 3: But if Sean Porter thinks that we should pay attention
- 25:26Speaker 3: to Richard Torres, I'm gonna listen to Shan.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Porter exactly exactly.
- 25:30Speaker 3: Bevall's coming back in May. He's fighting a mandatory that
- 25:33Speaker 3: not a lot of people know, but again, it's still
- 25:35Speaker 3: a name. In June, we've got Bam Rodriguez, Xanders ayas
- 25:38Speaker 3: Boots Ennis. July we've got Abdulla Mason, Shue Carrington, Anthony
- 25:42Speaker 3: Joshua and Earl Spence. So I don't know, I want
- 25:44Speaker 3: to get your take on this again, based on the
- 25:48Speaker 3: recognizable names people will come back for to watch Eryod Spence,
- 25:51Speaker 3: probably this is looking like a pretty good year. Like,
- 25:54Speaker 3: how what's your feeling on it? I don't. I feel
- 25:57Speaker 3: like last year the year before didn't feel that exciting
- 25:59Speaker 3: with a number of big fights coming in.
- 26:01Speaker 2: This year is different because there's really no big fight
- 26:05Speaker 2: to look forward to. There's no big fight September. There's
- 26:07Speaker 2: no oh shit, mega blockbuster, So you gotta fill the
- 26:12Speaker 2: weekends with cars. However, boxing shoes every summer because summer
- 26:17Speaker 2: once basketball season ends in the next three to four weeks.
- 26:20Speaker 2: You have baseball, and you have WNBA and you have
- 26:23Speaker 2: the World Cup. There's me a lot of time for
- 26:25Speaker 2: people to watch boxing and everything else that you need
- 26:29Speaker 2: to flood the time slots with as many events as
- 26:32Speaker 2: possible because you can really get fans if you have
- 26:36Speaker 2: good fights on for the next three months. You can
- 26:38Speaker 2: get the casual fanily. Okay, man, it's it's been NonStop
- 26:41Speaker 2: Grade five or grade fight. Yeah, I'm gonna tune in
- 26:44Speaker 2: because here's the thing. No one starts out fighting on
- 26:47Speaker 2: pay per view. It don't work that way. You don't
- 26:49Speaker 2: just start making fifty dollars undred dollars paper no, no, no,
- 26:52Speaker 2: you start somewhere and you build, you go, you gradually build.
- 26:56Speaker 2: That's how it goes. The summer boxing should be every weekend.
- 27:00Speaker 2: There should be a fight. Now what you rattle off,
- 27:02Speaker 2: damn there sounds like it. But it should be like
- 27:04Speaker 2: that every summer. There should be the norm, not the exception.
- 27:09Speaker 3: Agreed, and it stood out to me because it hasn't
- 27:12Speaker 3: been the norm. You know, we've got it's not every
- 27:14Speaker 3: single weekend, but two big names a month or so.
- 27:18Speaker 3: Plus here's the thing, as well, you know, even if
- 27:21Speaker 3: we don't know a lot of names on those cards,
- 27:22Speaker 3: there's a lot of opportunity to for somebody to make
- 27:25Speaker 3: a name for themselves. And yeah, I don't know, it
- 27:28Speaker 3: just it does feel very different with this year, these
- 27:32Speaker 3: summer fights coming up and again these names that people
- 27:35Speaker 3: are either excited for or at least recognizable to say. Oh,
- 27:40Speaker 3: you know, we both mentioned how Aero Spence probably needs
- 27:43Speaker 3: to retire, but people are gonna watch it. It's not
- 27:46Speaker 3: it's not like him coming back. I don't think is
- 27:49Speaker 3: as gimmicky as like Mayweather versus Pakiao two or Mike
- 27:52Speaker 3: Tyson coming back. You know, it'd be interesting to see
- 27:56Speaker 3: Ero Spencer the ring and what it looks like these days,
- 27:58Speaker 3: and hey, maybe we'll everybody one hundred percent will be
- 28:03Speaker 3: bro You should have retired, you know, years ago, but
- 28:07Speaker 3: at least it's something to look forward to. Anthony Joshua,
- 28:09Speaker 3: I've never been a big fan, don't dislike the man
- 28:12Speaker 3: or anything, just never been a fan. But writing his
- 28:15Speaker 3: hype after the meme of the year when he broke
- 28:17Speaker 3: All boys jaw last year, his retirement was not because
- 28:22Speaker 3: he wanted to stop fighting, he said, you know, he
- 28:24Speaker 3: had a couple of members of his team died tragically
- 28:26Speaker 3: in a car accident. So between the you know, people
- 28:31Speaker 3: regular people just kind of finding out about him from
- 28:34Speaker 3: the meme, the ladies, you know, thirsting for him, and
- 28:38Speaker 3: you know, the tragedy had to go through again. People
- 28:41Speaker 3: are gonna watch. People are going to tune in for
- 28:43Speaker 3: Anthony Joshua's return, maybe even more so than would have
- 28:47Speaker 3: before if he just announced the fight before any of
- 28:50Speaker 3: this happened. And maybe we'll get people regular people seeing
- 28:54Speaker 3: a new somebody, another name on the card that they're
- 28:56Speaker 3: excited about. So Abdullah Mason always a deed about a duel,
- 29:00Speaker 3: Mason being back in the ring. He's got a July
- 29:04Speaker 3: fourth fight. I'll be honest, I've never known July fourth
- 29:07Speaker 3: to be a big deal for boxing, like seeing Good
- 29:09Speaker 3: to my or Mexican Independence Day ASID. But I just
- 29:12Speaker 3: don't recall that is that a thing, this July fourth boxing?
- 29:15Speaker 2: It should be a thing. It should actually be. That's
- 29:18Speaker 2: the craziest part. If if Single to Mile can be
- 29:21Speaker 2: a day, if Mexican Independence weekend should be a day,
- 29:25Speaker 2: July fourth can definitely be a boxing day because outside
- 29:28Speaker 2: of baseball, there's nothing else on. So that can absolutely
- 29:32Speaker 2: be a day there's there should be a big event
- 29:35Speaker 2: or at least a decent card on that day. Like
- 29:38Speaker 2: it makes sense, especially especially it's on the weekend. It
- 29:44Speaker 2: should be obvious. But but I think a big part
- 29:47Speaker 2: of it is that boxing is an interesting thing because
- 29:53Speaker 2: July fourth. The only thing I would say is this,
- 29:56Speaker 2: getting the places on July fourth can be problematic. So
- 29:59Speaker 2: if you're trying to have an event in a major
- 30:02Speaker 2: city on July fourth, it could be problems. Like getting
- 30:04Speaker 2: to Vegas on July fourth is not easy right for us.
- 30:07Speaker 2: For you, it is because you have clothes, but you're
- 30:09Speaker 2: coming from across the country that's a very tough or
- 30:12Speaker 2: you're trying to get to New York or LA or
- 30:16Speaker 2: somewhere else. I actually being very problematic. So I kind
- 30:19Speaker 2: of actually why they may not want to have it
- 30:21Speaker 2: on that day. But I do think it's a date
- 30:24Speaker 2: that they're missing. I think it could be a tradition
- 30:26Speaker 2: to where there should be a card somewhere, to where
- 30:29Speaker 2: a this is what this is, how it should be,
- 30:30Speaker 2: this is what's up. But but again, boxing I get
- 30:34Speaker 2: out of its own way. You know how that goes?
- 30:36Speaker 3: Yeah, and you're right now that I'm thinking about it,
- 30:38Speaker 3: they're kind of leaving money on the table this uh
- 30:40Speaker 3: this year. July fourth is a Saturday, which is cool
- 30:44Speaker 3: but just okay when I've gone to watch a live
- 30:47Speaker 3: boxing in Phoenix, and what do they do? They play
- 30:51Speaker 3: up the fact that a lot of the fighters are Mexican.
- 30:53Speaker 3: There's a lot of you know, right, they make that
- 30:56Speaker 3: a thing. They make it, you know, play Mexican music,
- 30:58Speaker 3: you know their Latin music in general. Why cat July
- 31:00Speaker 3: fourth they find a big name American fighter versus a
- 31:03Speaker 3: British guy that weekend.
- 31:06Speaker 2: You can do it that way too. But man, here's
- 31:09Speaker 2: the thing. That's all cute and fine and well, if
- 31:12Speaker 2: we just get good fights, it's all good. Like you
- 31:14Speaker 2: can do all that too. That helps. But if you
- 31:17Speaker 2: got really good fights or this big names fight on
- 31:19Speaker 2: July fourth, you will see a shift because what's happening.
- 31:22Speaker 2: So our generation doesn't barbecue no more, Like we don't
- 31:26Speaker 2: have parties and all that, Like that's hurting to die down.
- 31:29Speaker 2: If you bring on, if there's a big fight on
- 31:32Speaker 2: July fourth, it changes everything. It changed the whole day.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Like there if hypothetically, if Tank were to come back
- 31:39Speaker 2: on July fourth. If Tank was fighting on July fourth,
- 31:42Speaker 2: and you can all the ones we've seen of him fighting,
- 31:45Speaker 2: you know, Tank or whomever whatever, if he was fighting
- 31:49Speaker 2: on July fourth, it is a It is a thing.
- 31:52Speaker 2: People are tuned in, people are watching, hopefully have a
- 31:54Speaker 2: good card. It is a thing. And that's something that
- 31:57Speaker 2: people talk about for the whole week because Hey, I'm
- 32:00Speaker 2: doing for the holiday, Oh Tanks fighting. Oh once, I
- 32:03Speaker 2: want here to watch Tank fight over wing to Vegas
- 32:05Speaker 2: for this Oh we're going. That's a thing. And that's
- 32:08Speaker 2: where I think the powers that you've kind of dropped
- 32:10Speaker 2: the ball because that, you know, and I'm not just
- 32:13Speaker 2: saying taking be anyone, but especially him, because that's the
- 32:16Speaker 2: guy that a lot of people like watching fight. I
- 32:19Speaker 2: think there's action there. I think there's a huge possibility there.
- 32:22Speaker 2: But it's just you know, you don't have that this time.
- 32:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I think you know, why, why are we the
- 32:28Speaker 3: ones coming up with this with these ideas?
- 32:30Speaker 2: But when you love something, you get ultra creative, right,
- 32:34Speaker 2: It's like anything else whatever you love in life. If
- 32:37Speaker 2: there's a challenge in the way, you're gonna try to
- 32:39Speaker 2: find trying to find a way to solve it. You know,
- 32:42Speaker 2: that's the thing you're gonna try to figure out a
- 32:44Speaker 2: way about. Hey, you know what, let's do it this
- 32:46Speaker 2: way that way and it'll work. But what can you do?
- 32:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like we shouldn't be the ones, like, yes,
- 32:54Speaker 3: we're we're major voices in the sports commentary. I've interviewed
- 32:57Speaker 3: Sean Porter, ed Manuel, but we shouldn't be the ones
- 33:00Speaker 3: doing this this homework for you promotion companies. But yeah,
- 33:04Speaker 3: I think definitely I'm excited to see Abdullah the event
- 33:09Speaker 3: with Adula Mason on July fourth. And the thing about
- 33:12Speaker 3: it too, summer boxing. It's hot as hell. If you're
- 33:17Speaker 3: barbecuing and you're drinking at night. You know, boxing is
- 33:19Speaker 3: an evening thing anyway, after the fireworks to watch a fight,
- 33:22Speaker 3: that just seems kind of natural, you know that.
- 33:24Speaker 2: But also, like here's the thing too, the younger generation
- 33:28Speaker 2: ain't barbecuing like that. Sure, Like that's the thing we
- 33:31Speaker 2: got to remember, Like we come from that because our
- 33:33Speaker 2: folks did that. Like the young generation don't do all that. Man,
- 33:37Speaker 2: They either cater or they don't cook like that. Some
- 33:39Speaker 2: people don't even know how to real So with all
- 33:41Speaker 2: that being said, it's one of those things where you
- 33:45Speaker 2: might need to have a fight on to have somebody,
- 33:48Speaker 2: you know, figure out the real situation of food situation,
- 33:50Speaker 2: because right now people just get together and stare at
- 33:53Speaker 2: each other all day, and that's weird.
- 33:56Speaker 3: You know what anybody can put can do? Put together
- 33:58Speaker 3: a bunch of crockpot hot kids. You know, easy, psy,
- 34:04Speaker 3: you got that.
- 34:05Speaker 2: Don't white men keep cool? I don't know. Nah, don't
- 34:12Speaker 2: be that.
- 34:13Speaker 3: You know, I've never been like, I can enjoy good food,
- 34:16Speaker 3: but I've never really cared about food as all. So
- 34:18Speaker 3: you know, you invite me over, You got a bunch
- 34:20Speaker 3: of shitty hot dogs and some chips, and you're having
- 34:22Speaker 3: a good time as long as there are drinks. Sometimes
- 34:24Speaker 3: there's lots of drinks.
- 34:25Speaker 2: No, no, here's the thing. Once you invite somebody over,
- 34:27Speaker 2: you gotta you gotta have something. You don't don't write nobody.
- 34:30Speaker 2: We grown all right. I don't handle damn hot dog. No, no, no, no, no, no,
- 34:34Speaker 2: no no. Once you once you invite somebody over, there's
- 34:38Speaker 2: a certain expectation of what's gonna be there. Okay, I'm
- 34:42Speaker 2: not saying I'm not asking a five course meal. But
- 34:45Speaker 2: our producer is a great thriller himself. I don't know
- 34:48Speaker 2: how often he grills anymore, but I know in the
- 34:50Speaker 2: past he has definitely did a thing. So when he
- 34:55Speaker 2: invites somebody, I know what it is. Some of those
- 34:57Speaker 2: people will be messing around. Ain't the same, right, I
- 35:01Speaker 2: guess that that's fair.
- 35:02Speaker 3: And you know, we are forty, you know, I guess
- 35:04Speaker 3: maybe I just kind of forget that I'm forty. I
- 35:06Speaker 3: don't have kids, so it keeps me pretty young. So
- 35:08Speaker 3: I'm like, yeah, I'll still go over to house party,
- 35:10Speaker 3: have a few beers and have some you know, some
- 35:12Speaker 3: boiled hot dogs, and like, I'm fine with that. But
- 35:14Speaker 3: sometimes You're right, it kind of hits me and I'm like, well,
- 35:16Speaker 3: I can't just live like that anymore. I gotta I
- 35:19Speaker 3: gotta grow up a little bit here and there. But
- 35:23Speaker 3: but hey, you know, but maybe it's a good thing
- 35:24Speaker 3: that I forget that I am that I'm forty. My
- 35:27Speaker 3: knees remind me, but my heart, my soul, I still
- 35:31Speaker 3: still a young sill. I'm still a young and I'm
- 35:33Speaker 3: still young and hip and yeah, but I don't know.
- 35:37Speaker 3: I'm excited, like I said about this summer for boxing,
- 35:39Speaker 3: for the boxing world. It just hopefully apart from the
- 35:43Speaker 3: from the main events, we see some names that are
- 35:46Speaker 3: have some hype behind them, some great fights, some people
- 35:48Speaker 3: kind of feeling the need to make a name for themselves.
- 35:53Speaker 3: And more fights, more fights, more cards, more more get
- 35:57Speaker 3: togethers with with friends to boxing a communal thing again,
- 36:02Speaker 3: because yeah, looking at the schedule, it definitely feels way
- 36:06Speaker 3: different than the last couple of years has felt cool. Well, yeah,
- 36:11Speaker 3: you know, we're gonna wrap it up, Jamison. Where can
- 36:13Speaker 3: people find you on social media?
- 36:15Speaker 2: On Twitter? After you, Jamison? That's best spot, you know.
