- 2:33www.worldwidesportsradio.com. Anyways, we got a special guest
- 2:41in the studio, ladies and gentlemen.
- 2:42He's been a friend, he's been a colleague.
- 2:45He's been a partner of mine for many, many years.
- 2:48He started this show, Well, not this show, but he started the
- 2:51network with me, the one and only Mikey C Mike, what's up?
- 2:55What's going on, brother? How are?
- 2:57You, I'm good. I see the background, I guess
- 2:59the Boston Celtics, which I can't stand.
- 3:01I can't stand the banners. I can't stand the Celtic pride.
- 3:06No, I don't want to get used to it.
- 3:07I I want to stay the hell away from it.
- 3:09But yeah, Mikey sees in the studio tonight so I'm sure he's
- 3:12going to give me a little bit of grief.
- 3:14There's no, there's no Celtic and information, there's no
- 3:17Celtic stories right now. So it's.
- 3:19Good. I mean, I'm not going to lie, I
- 3:22could actually sit there and say, you know, I think this
- 3:25upcoming season, they're going to be so bad.
- 3:27And they're not going to be that bad.
- 3:28And hopefully get a high draft pick.
- 3:30That's what you're wishing, right?
- 3:31That's what you're wishing. But I don't think that's going
- 3:33to happen. You know, not like Golden State
- 3:35where they messed up on Wiseman as the number one.
- 3:37Pick. Well, not #2 pick.
- 3:38It was an up two. Pick and he ended up being a
- 3:40bust but. Oh, you have to hold on one
- 3:42second if if you are a Celtic fan and you want them to lose,
- 3:46it just shows you how selfish you guys are.
- 3:48No, no, no. I don't want them to lose.
- 3:49I just feel the way the roster is created right now.
- 3:52We have Jaylen Brown, you have White.
- 3:53They're healthy. And I think obviously the
- 3:55Celtics are still going to have quality games and they're going
- 3:58to play quality basketball. They're not going to be that
- 4:00bad. If Jaylen Brown is 100% healthy,
- 4:02which they're saying that he is, I expect them to compete.
- 4:05I mean, did you hear the rumors of?
- 4:08Trading one of those. Of Ben Simmons partially
- 4:11signing. Well, that's automatic tank
- 4:13right there. I automatic.
- 4:14Ben Simmons, I think good to play basketball.
- 4:17No, but I think he's a good fit with them.
- 4:18He's athletic and they don't need him.
- 4:20Yeah, he's very. When?
- 4:21Once a year. When Ben Simmons is an athletic
- 4:24basketball player, is he good? It remains to be seen.
- 4:27We've seen him. He's he's one of the highest
- 4:28paid. He has basketball anxiety.
- 4:30He barely plays. Whose fault is that?
- 4:33I know it's Joel Embiid. He's the one who ruined him and
- 4:35Doc Rivers. But I don't want to get into
- 4:37basketball. This is not a basketball show
- 4:39tonight, OK? We got a lot to get, lot to get
- 4:42into it. There's some football stories,
- 4:43but before we get into the show, I want to I have an announcement
- 4:47to make and. It's that day.
- 4:50No, I'm being serious. It's it's, it's a serious story.
- 4:53No, it has. This is not funny.
- 4:55By the way, Keith has not been on the show.
- 4:58He's been working a lot. He's been dealing with family
- 5:01stuff. And this weekend there was a
- 5:04death in his family, obviously a suicide.
- 5:06And it's a it's a sad story. And I want to give a shout out
- 5:10to the family Macaulay, Kenya, and that's he's from the Rooney
- 5:15family, Pennsylvania, part of the Rooney family.
- 5:18He passed away over the weekend. A lot of sadness in the family.
- 5:23And Keith reached out to me before the show and he was
- 5:26telling me about what happened. I want to talk about it on the
- 5:29show. I mean, it's not something that
- 5:31you you'd go out there and, and, and said tell everybody's
- 5:34business. But I wanted to give a shout out
- 5:37to the Rooney family. That is a horrible, horrible
- 5:39story. My heart goes out to the family.
- 5:41My heart goes out to Keith, his brother Mike, everybody ever,
- 5:45the whole family. It's it's a horrible, horrible
- 5:47story. And, and to think that you're
- 5:49only on this earth for a certain amount of time.
- 5:51The kid was 22 years old, 22 years old and, and so much and
- 5:57I, I, I don't want to get into the back end of what happened
- 6:01and, and the depression, but just think about it.
- 6:03You, you see all these kids, all these people young and old
- 6:07committing suicide over, you know, obviously things that are
- 6:11going on in their life. I mean, obviously brain trauma
- 6:14and all the different stuff that we've heard with the NFL with
- 6:17CTE. I'm not saying the kid had CTE,
- 6:20but just think about it, the depression and this this
- 6:24sustained things that could happen in your life.
- 6:28And I know because I've seen people get abused many, many
- 6:31times in school. And I used to, I tell the story,
- 6:34I used to beat up the bully and I used to see all these kids
- 6:38get, you know, beaten up. And it's not alive when you go
- 6:40to a locker room and you see the abuse that some of these kids
- 6:44get because they're too thin, too hairy, just dorky, geeky,
- 6:49wearing glasses, fat jaba, you know all about that.
- 6:52You were picked on when you were a kid for a little while.
- 6:54You, you know what it's like. And so it's to me, it's just a
- 6:58horrible, horrible thing. And just to think about this
- 7:01story and, and how, you know, people can go through these
- 7:05things and not get help. And I, I, I, my heart goes out
- 7:09to the Rooney family. I, I just, I'm stuttering
- 7:11because I don't even know what to say.
- 7:13And I'm standing by, you know, you hear these stories and, and
- 7:17I, I've, I've heard stories over the last couple of months, I've
- 7:20had a friend, friend that committed suicide, hung himself.
- 7:24And it's just, it's not good. It's not fun to go to these,
- 7:29these funerals. It, it's not obviously not very
- 7:32good to talk to the families, the moms, the dads.
- 7:35So it's a horrible, horrible story.
- 7:37And my heart goes out to the Rooney family.
- 7:40It's horrible. And I I know the grandparents
- 7:42I've known his son was one of my best friends growing up.
- 7:46Now I don't talk to him anymore because he's an ass.
- 7:48That's a whole nother story. And hopefully he reaches out to
- 7:52the family because that ass is just, he needs to be smacked
- 7:55around. And you know what I'm talking
- 7:56about, Keith, you know who I'm talking about If you're
- 7:58listening to the show, Rooney, Mr. Brandon Rooney, if he's
- 8:02listening to the show. And if he's not, I don't give a
- 8:04crap. But maybe you should reach out
- 8:07to the family and actually show a little bit more commitment to
- 8:10your family because that's one of your cousins.
- 8:13And now he's gone and you didn't say goodbye to him.
- 8:15So my heart goes out to the Rooney family.
- 8:18During Saturdays trading camp, Cowboys fans were chanting Pay
- 8:21Micah loud enough where Jerry Jones could hear it.
- 8:26Jerry responded by saying we want to pay Micah too, but he
- 8:31has to play, he has to want to be paid.
- 8:34Jerry also took shots at Parsons injuries by saying even if we
- 8:39sign him doesn't mean we will have him.
- 8:42Jerry referenced Parsons missing six games last season when he
- 8:47actually only missed four games. Well that's Jerry Jones going
- 8:50senile. The Cowboys also recently gave
- 8:54tight end Jake Ferguson a new four year, $52 million contract,
- 8:59which Jerry Jones was very happy about.
- 9:01Parson on his podcast with WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker
- 9:06said he wanted to do the He wanted to do the contract last
- 9:11year and don't understand why the team is dragging out
- 9:16contract negotiations. You also added that the Cowboys
- 9:19have cost themselves money by waiting and now there will be
- 9:23more urgency from them being he's not.
- 9:27He's now paying. Now he's playing on his fifth
- 9:31year option. Parsons has 52.5 sacks.
- 9:35I don't know why you put this number, Speedy.
- 9:37I don't know why you put these statistics.
- 9:39Nobody cares. 100 and 112 quarterback hits and 250 6 total
- 9:45tackles in four NFL seasons with two all pro seasons and four pro
- 9:50ball season. Speedy, stop doing this.
- 9:52I it's so annoying. Michael Parsons is one of the
- 9:55best defensive players in the league.
- 9:57He is. If you want to say he's a top
- 9:59ten, he's there. He's not a top five player.
- 10:03He's not anymore. He was going into last year, but
- 10:07this season, even though he missed four games, he wasn't as
- 10:10good as he was the first two seasons.
- 10:13He really wasn't, and teams are starting to figure them out.
- 10:17They know that what they're doing is they're overloading
- 10:20offensive lineman and using extra offensive lineman to cover
- 10:25Michael Parsons when they shift Michael Parsons to the
- 10:28linebacker position or they move him from one side to the other.
- 10:31And Dan Quinn did a lot of that when he was there.
- 10:34Teams are figuring out if you shut down Michael Parsons, you
- 10:37shut down the Cowboys defense. He is not TJ Watt, he's not
- 10:41Miles Garrett. He's not as big as those guys.
- 10:44That's a fact. Go look at the size.
- 10:46There's a big size difference. What does Michael Parsons play
- 10:50with talent is his speed and his heart.
- 10:53Michael Parsons got some heart. He goes out there on his
- 10:56podcast, throws people under the bus.
- 10:58He speaks about all these guys and, and he throws Jerry.
- 11:01How many times have we heard him on his podcast throw Jerry Jones
- 11:05under the bus? That's his owner.
- 11:07That's the guy that's paying this guy.
- 11:10But the fact is the Cowboys organization has thrown so much
- 11:15money at their superstar players.
- 11:18As we've gone back and we've said this over and over and over
- 11:21again, you look at CD Lamp, CD GAT Lamp took a little bit less
- 11:24money to stay with the Cowboys. Not a lot, but a little bit
- 11:27less. Dak Prescott is making 60
- 11:29million a year. That's what that's the going
- 11:31rate for a quarterback. Dak Prescott is a good
- 11:34quarterback. Is he a Super Bowl contending
- 11:36quarterback? There's maybe six or seven guys
- 11:39in the league that we could say that he's still a quality
- 11:42quarterback. You're paying Jake Ferguson four
- 11:46years, 52,000,000. What has Jake Ferguson done?
- 11:50Is Jake Ferguson an elite tight end?
- 11:53The answer would be no, he's not.
- 11:56He's a quality, by the way. He's got a hot girlfriend.
- 11:58There's no doubt he has one of the hottest girlfriends.
- 12:00She's one of the twin. But what?
- 12:02What are the names? I don't ever remember the.
- 12:04Name of Miami ones? Yes, he's dating one of them.
- 12:07And Kevin Deer. Kevin Deer.
- 12:08Yeah. Whatever the tick tock chicks.
- 12:10Yeah, they're hot, OK, And he's dating one of the hot ones.
- 12:14They're both hot because they're twins.
- 12:15But the fact is that's the only thing I look at Ferguson as is
- 12:20is he's a decent player. I know Cowboy fans will sit here
- 12:22and say, well, he's he's put up good numbers.
- 12:25He's still a quality player. He's what, the second or third
- 12:29option? Over the last couple years, they
- 12:31never heard the second option since they decided to move away
- 12:35from Omari Cooper. Beside before they added George
- 12:39Pickens this offseason, they have never had a second option.
- 12:43Honestly, they've they've reached every single player.
- 12:46They've brought in these subpar players at best and they're once
- 12:50good players in the league. They go to the Cowboys and
- 12:52they're absolute garbage. Their running game has been
- 12:56shit. Let's be honest, it's been
- 12:58garbage. They did add blue in the draft.
- 13:01He looks like he's going to be a good player.
- 13:03They added Williams, they might have a good running game this
- 13:05year. Their offensive line is crap.
- 13:08They have two young guys they're banking on.
- 13:10They're banking on again, I, I look at the Cowboys, I, I don't
- 13:15think their defense is any good. They got Michael Parsons their
- 13:18secondary. They got a big mouth out there
- 13:20who doesn't shut his damn mouth. Who's getting overpaid, by the
- 13:23way? They don't have anything.
- 13:26And Cowboy fans are going to sit there.
- 13:28The Cowboys are in a division that is still a quality
- 13:31division. The Commanders are better this
- 13:32year. The Eagles are better than this
- 13:34year. The Giants might be better this
- 13:36year. What did the Cowboys add in the
- 13:39offseason besides George pickets?
- 13:41Nothing. A lousy goose egg because they
- 13:44don't have any money. Let's be honest.
- 13:47You're going to sit here. Michael Parsons isn't wrong.
- 13:50They're they're going to be paying Michael Parson more money
- 13:53now because he's sitting still saying, you know what, you're
- 13:55waiting this long. Look what TJ Watt got.
- 13:57I want double that or he's not going to get double.
- 14:00I want 5 million more. I want 3,000,000 more than a guy
- 14:04like TJ Watt. So TJ Watt's making 41 1/2 for
- 14:07$52 million a year. I want 45 and he's going to get
- 14:11it. And if they don't pay him,
- 14:13somebody else is going to give it to him.
- 14:15And the Cowboys right now are in a position where Jerry Jones is
- 14:19808586. However old he is, he's senile.
- 14:23He doesn't know his ass from his tailbone.
- 14:25I'm wondering if he could see his hand in front of his God
- 14:27damn face. He's stupid and this
- 14:30organization should have been taken over by his sons a long
- 14:33damn time ago. I remember when he wanted Johnny
- 14:37Manziel. And I like Johnny, but Johnny
- 14:40was a failure in the league because he couldn't stay away
- 14:42from his own stupidity. And he goes out there and throws
- 14:45people under, under the bus. Jerry Jones and the Cowboys
- 14:48organization hasn't won since, what, 1996?
- 14:51And. That's the last time they were
- 14:53in the NFC. Championship game.
- 14:54And that's why I attacked teams like San Francisco.
- 14:57All those San Francisco 49er fans.
- 14:59Yeah, guess what? You weren't 2 Super Bowls and
- 15:02failed to win. Failed to beat the Kansas City
- 15:04Chiefs. They haven't won since the early
- 15:0790s. Yeah.
- 15:07Here before the Cowboys. The early 90s, that's that's
- 15:10what they're the the 49er fans are banking on everything.
- 15:13We've got Kyle Shanahan, good for you.
- 15:17He hasn't won crap as an offensive coordinator and he
- 15:19hasn't won crap as a coach. The Cowboys organization needs
- 15:24to figure out where and what this team is and, and honestly
- 15:30do. If you're going to depend on
- 15:31your quarterback and I and I think that is a quality
- 15:33quarterback. He's not going to win games
- 15:36without talent around him. Now George Pickens, he's a good
- 15:39addition. George Pickens is coming up on a
- 15:42contract. That's a facts.
- 15:45What are they going to do with that?
- 15:46If they pay Michael Parsons 45,000,000 now, how are they
- 15:51going to pay George Pickens? How they going to pay him?
- 15:55And that's the thing, they're going to pay Michael Parsons.
- 15:57George Pickets is going to have a great year this year and he's
- 16:00going to go to free agency because they can't afford them.
- 16:04He'll go out and put up these unbelievable numbers because Dak
- 16:07needed that second option and now he has one and he has a
- 16:10decent running game. And the Cowboys are going to sit
- 16:12there and say, well, we had a 10 win season or 11 win season and
- 16:16we went to the playoffs and we have Brian freaking Shannon
- 16:19Schottenheimer as our head coach.
- 16:22They should have capped their coach if they were thinking that
- 16:25that this team was going to run it back again with the same
- 16:28talent that they had except for George Pickens.
- 16:31It makes no sense. If you're a Cowboy fan right
- 16:34now, you're not going to tell me that having George Pickens is
- 16:38going to make that much of a big difference.
- 16:40When you look at what Washington did in the offseason, which is
- 16:43absolute, they've they've gotten so much better now.
- 16:47We'll, we ought to see what the young quarterback is going to do
- 16:50in his second year to sophomore year.
- 16:51We've seen a lot of quarterbacks fall back a little bit in their
- 16:54second year. But again, CJ Stroud wasn't the
- 16:57same player he was in his freshman year, but he was still
- 16:59decent. I worry if I was a Cowboy fan,
- 17:04when you have the Eagles, yes, the the Georgia Eagles, because
- 17:08we know they're the Bulldog Eagles.
- 17:10They're better than they were. They had look at the draft that
- 17:12they had, look at the offseason that they had I, I mean it, it
- 17:16just, and, and Michael Parsons is absolutely right.
- 17:19If I was Michael Parsons right now, would I want to go back to
- 17:23the Cowboys? What I would do on my podcast,
- 17:25knowing that everybody is watching me, here's what I would
- 17:28do. I would go on my podcast and do
- 17:30whatever I can to piss off Jerry Jones.
- 17:33So you get me the hell out of that organization because
- 17:36they're not winning. They're not.
- 17:39They have not drafted another offensive weapon since CD Lamb,
- 17:42who was the last offensive weapon they brought to this team
- 17:44in this organization. Since then, Nothing.
- 17:47Nothing. They got lucky with CD Lamb
- 17:49because he went from a top five pick to 17.
- 17:52They got lucky with him. And by the way, the beef thought
- 17:55he was going to stink. Oh, yeah, that was classic.
- 17:58He wanted Xavier McKinney, Giants legend, and he's pretty
- 18:00good. McKinney.
- 18:01He was good McKinney. McKinney had a great season
- 18:03later. He had a great season last.
- 18:04Year with the Giants too, but like he's not the same level
- 18:07for. He's not CD Lamb and.
- 18:09Even throughout his career, like he's been notoriously streaky
- 18:12too. And CD Lamb has been a top five
- 18:13wide receiver since he's come into the league, since he got
- 18:15more reps. And you brought up Amari Cooper,
- 18:17too. They traded a first round pick
- 18:19for Amari Cooper when they got him in 2018 because they were
- 18:22afraid the Eagles were going to get him.
- 18:24Three years later they trade him to the Browns for a fifth round
- 18:26pick because why? Jerry Jones gets in the way
- 18:29because he can't handle the contract negotiations there.
- 18:32Same kind of thing with Micah Parsons.
- 18:33You're publicly going out and throwing him under the bus for
- 18:36injuries because he missed six games allegedly when he only
- 18:40missed 4. This was the first year he had
- 18:42injury problems in his career and you're throwing him under
- 18:45the bus when you've had all these other injury prone
- 18:47players. If Keith, if Keith, Keith
- 18:49actually thinks Brian Schonheimer is a good coach,
- 18:52he's absolutely on drugs. There are 0 he is on drugs.
- 18:57If he thinks Brian, I know Brian Shana.
- 18:59I met Brian Schoenheimer when he was working with The Jets.
- 19:03I met him and his father was a great coach, never won anything,
- 19:07never won anything. He is not a good coach.
- 19:11And the fact that they reached to get him because nobody wanted
- 19:14to go there. Nobody.
- 19:15There are zero teams that would have interviewed outside of the
- 19:18Cowboys Brian Schottenheimer for a head coaching position and
- 19:21actually meant it. Zero teams if he got Nobody
- 19:24wanted that Cowboy Joe Nobody. Nobody wanted that game.
- 19:29Whose fault is that? Jerry Jones's ego for wanting
- 19:31that, too? Because they know they have no
- 19:33control if they go to that organization.
- 19:35Jerry Jones runs everything. He's the coach, he's the GM,
- 19:39he's the damn dancer, the cheerleading dancer out there on
- 19:42a gun. I don't know what Jerry Jones is
- 19:44doing. I wouldn't want to see him in a
- 19:45thong, that's for damn sure. But Jerry Jones?
- 19:48But does Jerry Jones know what Jerry Jones is doing?
- 19:50No, no he doesn't. He's senile.
- 19:52That's what Errol was differentiating very well before
- 19:55too, is the difference between him and his son.
- 19:56I think his son, if he gets a bigger stake in the
- 19:59organization, could actually do more with the player
- 20:01relationship aspect. And I think he's drafted pretty
- 20:04good for some positions, not all positions, some positions.
- 20:07Recent offensive lineman have done a pretty good job.
- 20:09I like their draft this year with the defensive value.
- 20:11Tyler Smith is a good player, yes.
- 20:12Tyler Smith player Tyler Guyton I liked they drafted last year
- 20:15too. I wasn't crazy about the first
- 20:16round pick this year, but I think the rest of the draft was
- 20:18pretty good. Well, they said it.
- 20:19First of all, he played for IMG. I've heard a little bit about
- 20:22this kid and he could turn out to be a pretty good player, so.
- 20:24There's a there's a lot of guys that have first round grades on
- 20:26him, which is fine. He still might be a good player,
- 20:28but the rest of their draft is more what I'm referring to.
- 20:30I like and I think the Cowboys have gotten pretty good value
- 20:32when we talk about all the times like guys that are on their
- 20:34second contracts. A lot of the guys the Cowboys
- 20:36signed were on that kind of thing.
- 20:37The problem is they just make these negotiations very
- 20:39difficult. They got lucky with CD Lamb
- 20:41where they didn't have to play him 37.
- 20:43They got lucky with Michael Parsons, if the Giants had one.
- 20:46You know, I don't know what the Giants were thinking, but but
- 20:48Gettleman wasn't thinking. I mean, they had a chance to
- 20:50bring in Michael Parsons. They could have brought in
- 20:53Slater, they could have brought any one of those guys.
- 20:55Look, Sater is an All pro fish we were talking about.
- 20:58Yeah, we'll talk about Slater in the next segment, but you're
- 21:01absolutely right, Errol. They could.
- 21:03The Giants could have brought in both of those guys in that draft
- 21:05and they decided Speedy, as you know, to trade back for Cadarius
- 21:09Tony and get a pick the next year.
- 21:10That became evident. Not only that, the Cowboys let
- 21:12the Eagles trade up to get Devante Smith it.
- 21:14Wasn't that the draft that that it wasn't that the draft that
- 21:17Chicago got Justin Fields? Epic failed by Gettleman and
- 21:20look, there's we don't think rehash the Gettleman thing.
- 21:23I don't understand where Steven Jones is getting off saying
- 21:26Micah Parsons has got to be got to want to be paid.
- 21:29Who wants to be paid? Everybody wants to be paid.
- 21:32Stop saying that your best player isn't your best player on
- 21:35the defensive side of the ball. He's by far the best guy on the
- 21:39side of the ball. And guess what happened there?
- 21:40You said at the beginning of this segment, they doubled and
- 21:43tripled him because they knew all you got to do is stop him.
- 21:46And the rest of the defense, they're not.
- 21:48They're below average in coverage.
- 21:50Look, Trayvon Diggs is great if you have to get rid of the ball
- 21:52fast, but he has to stay with somebody.
- 21:55He's going to get toasted. And that's what we found out.
- 21:58And he wasn't the only one. To Ron Bland.
- 22:00There's a lot of guys like that that are real good ball hawkers
- 22:03if you have a good pass rush. But you saw what happened with
- 22:06the fall off of the Marcus Lawrence.
- 22:08You saw, you know, Mozzie Smith hasn't really developed into
- 22:11like moving the pocket. They want.
- 22:12Maybe he's getting better against a run that they could
- 22:14play him. They could even play him that
- 22:15first year so he's at least being rotation.
- 22:18But that's not an inspiring D line.
- 22:20If you don't have another guy to take the attention away from
- 22:23Parsons, they're going to stop you in the NFL.
- 22:26Mozzie Harris got to stop playing pocket pool because
- 22:28that's the only pocket he's going to find.
- 22:30OK, Honestly, it's just absolutely ridiculous.
- 22:32And, and anybody that thinks the Cowboys are honestly, the
- 22:35Cowboys might be the worst team in that in NFC East.
- 22:39I mean, the Giants are still working their way up and I don't
- 22:42know if tables the guy and we all know what their their GM is.
- 22:45I, I really don't think their GM is any good and Shane, but I, I
- 22:48think they have something. Maybe they have a quarterback,
- 22:50maybe, maybe is maybe turns out to be Jackson darts a decent, a
- 22:55decent player moving up as they did in the 20s in the first
- 22:58round. Right now.
- 23:00Are you going to bet that the that, that right right now the
- 23:02Cowboys are even a playoff contender, though Washington is
- 23:06probably second best team in the division and we know the Eagles
- 23:09are the best team in the division.
- 23:10So where are the Cowboys? Are they a wild card team?
- 23:13Are they even going to squeeze in as a wild card, wild card
- 23:17team? When you look at all the
- 23:18divisions right now, especially the West, the West got better.
- 23:21I mean, and we all know about the North.
- 23:23The North is gonna have at least three teams make the playoffs.
- 23:27We I still think even with the quarterback switch and bringing
- 23:31in the young quarterback, Minnesota's going to be good.
- 23:34They have got great talent. They got one of the best wide
- 23:36receivers in all of football. Green Bay's going to be great
- 23:39this year. They got a tremendous amount of
- 23:40talent. And Chicago might be a contender
- 23:43this year too. You're you're talking about, and
- 23:45we all know that Lions now. I think the Lions are going to
- 23:48take a step back this year. They are going to make the
- 23:50playoffs, but they lost a lot of coaches on that on that team.
- 23:53They lost like 7 coaches. Three of them went with The Jets
- 23:56and three of three or four of them went with the Chicago
- 23:59Bears. It might be a 2023 Eagles
- 24:01situation. So they might, they might fall,
- 24:03they might kind of take a step back this year.
- 24:05They'll squeak into the playoffs with the talent that they have.
- 24:07But I, I mean, honestly, that might be the best division in
- 24:11football. The, the North divisions from
- 24:13the NFC North and the NFC North, they're arguably the two best
- 24:17divisions in football. You can't even argue that.
- 24:20Baltimore, Bengals, Pittsburgh, I mean, even the Browns, even
- 24:23though I, I, I question who the quarterback is going to be.
- 24:26Did you, by the way, did anybody see what Shador Sanders just
- 24:30got? Did anybody see that he just got
- 24:32a good? Did he?
- 24:34If I'm not mistaken, it was a jersey selling his jersey or
- 24:38whatever, 250 million. I have to bring up that, that
- 24:41story. I think he just made, he just
- 24:43signed a contract worth about $250 million.
- 24:47With who I, I've no idea. Somebody was telling me that
- 24:50somebody just gave Shidor Sanders a boatload of money.
- 24:54And I, there was a story that broke over the weekend.
- 24:58Now I don't know. He's made 14 million in
- 25:01Commission off of 250 million in sales is what it says.
- 25:06So he made more than his rookie contract in a couple of days, it
- 25:11appears. Fish.
- 25:13Who was it with? It's just an Instagram story, I
- 25:16can't verify it right now. Errol just said it, so I looked
- 25:19it up as fast as I could. Somebody told me that the guy is
- 25:22he's making more money now off his jersey sale than he is
- 25:26making of his own contract and he's going to make more because
- 25:29stupid people are going to go out and buy that guy that guy's
- 25:32jersey because they're idiots. I honestly.
- 25:34Idiots. Right now he's a football
- 25:35influencer more than he's a football player.
- 25:37You know, like we saw it at the Super Bowl.
- 25:39I mean, every time I, I think it back up to that time we read the
- 25:41Super Bowl at Radio Row. He had the second largest
- 25:44entourage. Yeah, only behind the whole
- 25:46Gronkowski family in the entire Super Bowl.
- 25:49And he hadn't even been drafted yet.
- 25:50Kind of bizarre. And he carried himself with such
- 25:52arrogance. I, I just thought, you know, it
- 25:55was a little strange. I mean, look, we didn't really
- 25:56have to talk to him or anything like that.
- 25:58So maybe it's just. Did you want to speak to him?
- 26:01I mean I would have. I, I, I I don't.
- 26:03Want to We talked to that Chiefs fan with the sparkly.
- 26:05Shirt Well, you're the one who wanted to sit him down with me,
- 26:08OK, Because he's a Kansas City, KS City Chiefs.
- 26:11Fan that is a great. And honestly.
- 26:13Honestly. Honestly, He wasn't a Kansas
- 26:16City Chiefs fan. He was a Taylor Swift.
- 26:18Fan. He was a swift and like an
- 26:20absolute hat or two. With a nice coat, a sparkling,
- 26:24but what a bedazzled coat that he was razzled.
- 26:27It was bedazzled beyond bedazzled.
- 26:29OK, He was shining all the way down the down, you know, the
- 26:32whole radio row. I think he was like 40 feet.
- 26:34And everybody was looking at this guy.
- 26:35I'm not going to say why, but nevertheless, he was an
- 26:38interesting fellow. And when he sat down with me, he
- 26:41had a very interesting interview with me.
- 26:43But nevertheless, the Cowboys are right now sitting and
- 26:48they're pissing off their their best defensive player.
- 26:51And honestly, if I was Micah Parsons, I don't want to be
- 26:55there. I'm not winning anything there.
- 26:57The Cowboys haven't won since 96.
- 27:00I would rather, I would rather push my way out to Pennsylvania,
- 27:03go back to, you know, a pen. A pen.
- 27:06Well, you play for Penn State. He's from that area.
- 27:09Trade up to Pittsburgh. I don't know what Pittsburgh's
- 27:11an offer, but Pittsburgh has a boatload of draft stock.
- 27:14Maybe trade away pieces and and make the Cowboys a little bit
- 27:18better for what the talent they have right now, they don't have
- 27:20any. They really don't tell me some
- 27:23of the young talent they have that you're looking forward to
- 27:26watching this year. Honestly, Speedy, you're you
- 27:29think they had such a great draft?
- 27:30I thought they had a good draft. Out of the first, what are you
- 27:32looking forward to watching this year?
- 27:34But it's not going to rebuild. This what are you looking
- 27:36forward when it comes to youngsters that stand out?
- 27:40Where? Where you're going to say wow, I
- 27:41can't wait to watch this guy play for the Cowboys.
- 27:44Besides Blue, Yeah. Who?
- 27:45Who fell in the 5th? Round one of them one was an
- 27:47offensive lineman Oregon kid that I wanted the Giants to
- 27:50draft in a Johnny Cornelius. An offensive lineman you're look
- 27:53forward to? No.
- 27:53No. I'm not again, none of these
- 27:55moves I'm saying are they make the Cowboys a playoff team over.
- 27:56I agree with you. I like the Pickens trade on
- 27:59paper. None of these teams are going to
- 28:01none of these moves are going to make the Cowboys a player team
- 28:03because Brian Schottenheimer is their coach right now.
- 28:05And like you said, the North is stacked.
- 28:06I think all four teams in the NFC West are going to be
- 28:08competitive too. So you're looking at a tough a
- 28:11tough grouping there, Commanders, Eagles, Falcons box.
- 28:13Like there's a lot of good competition in the NFC.
- 28:15It's a deeper conference. And none of these moves are
- 28:18going to make the Cowboys with the coaching staff.
- 28:20They currently have a playoff team by any means.
- 28:23That's the point, sweetie. And I think, you know, we're
- 28:26going to get to a bunch of other NFL news in a second, but that
- 28:30coaching staff, only Jerry Jones and Steven Jones, I guess we're
- 28:34arrogant enough to say we're not even going to bother
- 28:37interviewing people. We'll make Brian Schottenheimer,
- 28:40who hasn't been a legitimate head coaching candidate in a
- 28:42decade, our head coach. We're not even going to blink an
- 28:45eye because we're that arrogant. You're just going to pass it
- 28:48off. Look, we say he's good enough.
- 28:49He's good enough. He was.
- 28:51He had the uninspiring offense that went, which is 7:00 and
- 28:5310:00 last year. Put them in there like, what are
- 28:56you? I can't believe they did that.
- 28:59And they're serious about winning this year.
- 29:01If I'm Micah Parsons, I'm holding out.
- 29:04But he's not holding out. He's showing up.
- 29:05And I think that's a mistake because now they don't have to
- 29:08offer him anything. Or they can say play on your
- 29:10last year of your deal. And what if he gets hurt because
- 29:13he did last year? I think he made a mistake
- 29:15because these guys don't care. It's just a number to them.
- 29:17This guy's their best player in their defense and they treat him
- 29:19like this. He's their best.
- 29:20I hope the Cowboys get everything.
- 29:22Coming to him, but he's probably their second best player right
- 29:24now. I would go see, I would go CD
- 29:27Lamb and then him and then DAC Prescott.
- 29:30He's their second best player and you're pissing him off now
- 29:33he's going to probably say, you know what?
- 29:34If you don't give me the 45,000,000, I'm not resigning
- 29:38with you. I'll go to free agency or move
- 29:41me. Trade me either where I want to
- 29:43go or I'm not going to sign with them either and I'm going to go
- 29:46to free agency anyways because that's the way football is now.
- 29:49They don't have to sign nothing. They can wait until their
- 29:51contracts up and yeah, they can. They what?
- 29:54What is that? What do they could do in the
- 29:55offseason? They can't give them the
- 29:57franchise, the franchise tag. They have to wait.
- 29:59And all all the franchise tag is going to tell you is TJ Watt, if
- 30:03he has a good season and they franchise them, TJ Watt is
- 30:06making 42 and a half million dollars.
- 30:09If he has like 1316 or 17 sacks, he's just going to get a bowl
- 30:14that's going. To average the top five pass
- 30:16rushers, which already is a spiked market as it is with the
- 30:19contracts we saw with Miles Garrett, Max Crosby and TJ Watt
- 30:22this offseason and Nick Bosa a few years ago getting 37 million
- 30:25a year. It doesn't make any sense.
- 30:26The Cowboys are really putting himself in a really bad
- 30:29position. And that Prescott said it best.
- 30:32When I heard when that when one of the press guys, one of the
- 30:35media guys asked him, what do you think about Michael Parsons
- 30:38in his contract? He says pay the man.
- 30:40He said it best, pay the man and and but Dak took the most money
- 30:44he possibly can. Are you going to blame Dak?
- 30:47I'm not blaming Dak. How many years does Dak have
- 30:49left to be at the top of his game?
- 30:51Who knows, Dak might have 5 or 6 more years left, but if he can
- 30:56get the most money he can out of Jerry Jones, he's going to do
- 30:58what he can to skim it off of them.
- 31:00That's the way sports is. Jabba, you can attack somebody
- 31:04that's getting his money. Not a chance in hell are you?
- 31:07No, you're going to you're going to love it.
- 31:09You, you are an athlete. You know very, you know damn
- 31:12well when you will be. When you, when you were
- 31:14arbitrating, you had one of the the biggest arbitrating
- 31:17contracts in Major League history as a relief pitcher,
- 31:20right? I think that that was you,
- 31:22right? Yeah, because you you want it
- 31:24because now you look at it, in the long run, it's like if this
- 31:27dude's getting the money now I go out like he set a standard
- 31:30and it's like, OK, like you want to root for these guys to make
- 31:33money because if you're coming behind them, you're you're just
- 31:37piggybacking off them. And you may not get exactly what
- 31:40it is, but at least you have like a stepping stone of like,
- 31:45OK, I want to get here. Can I get here or I'm about
- 31:47right here. So it just you, you root for all
- 31:50the guys, first of all, because you want them to make as much so
- 31:53you can make as much in in the intern.
- 31:56So I don't know why you would never root for anybody making
- 31:58money that's doing your profession for sure.
- 32:01All right, ladies and gentlemen, we got another football segment.
- 32:04We call this the Whip around. The whip, whip, whip Around.
- 32:12OK, everybody, we got the NFL whip around.
- 32:16We got A and full of stories, starting off with this crazy,
- 32:24weird one. Errol.
- 32:26The Raiders cut defensive tackle Christian Wilkins and void the
- 32:31guarantees in his contract. If you remember correctly, he
- 32:35was the prize D lineman of the offseason last year.
- 32:39Can play inside, can play in the three.
- 32:41Tech play the nose. Pretty good player overall.
- 32:45Came from Miami. Kind of surprised some people
- 32:49thought that Miami let go of him.
- 32:51Well, the report kind of evolved throughout the day today and
- 32:55apparently he was gotten rid of because of conduct detrimental
- 32:59to the team, which allows you to void any guarantees in the
- 33:03contract. It's not like he got hurt or
- 33:06anything like that, that they have to pay it out.
- 33:09The reason being so far that we've seen, and I'm sure more
- 33:12will come out, but apparently he kissed somebody on their
- 33:16forehead and they took it the wrong way.
- 33:22I have no idea where this story comes from and if this is true
- 33:26and and there is some kind of investigation on it.
- 33:29Christian Wilkins has a lawsuit because there's no way in hell
- 33:33you're going to go out there and you're going to this story is
- 33:35going to go out. And Adam Schefner is the one
- 33:37that came out with the story. So, you know, there's some kind
- 33:39of truth to it. If this is true, Christian
- 33:42Wilkins, if I was Christian Wilkins, I would absolutely drop
- 33:45the hammer on all the Raiders. And by the way, this is the same
- 33:48Raider team that fired, yes, Jon Gruden, remember that story?
- 33:53Jon Gruden got fired after getting $100 million contract
- 33:56because he was on a list of emails and he was one of very
- 34:01few names that came out on that list saying racist things.
- 34:05And he was really the only guy, as everybody was saying, was the
- 34:08only big name that came out because the NFL and obviously
- 34:13Schneider and all that other, I think his brother was involved.
- 34:17He was on a list and there was stories coming out that he had
- 34:20some racist marks in that conversation too.
- 34:23The problem right now is the Raiders cannot keep everything
- 34:27in house. Pete Carroll's there.
- 34:29You would have thought you have a you have a veteran coach.
- 34:32It's been successful. Even though Pete Carroll
- 34:34couldn't control Russell Wilson. And there were stories coming
- 34:36out that I'm sure Pete Carroll after he decides to walk away
- 34:39from football totally, there'll be stories coming out that
- 34:43Russell Wilson was running that team in that organization
- 34:45because he was right that it really Pete Carroll's under his
- 34:49little nail. I, I just think that this is an
- 34:51organization that doesn't know what they're doing.
- 34:53They brought in a guy like Tom Brady and, and he put $200
- 34:57million out to own a percentage of this team because they wanted
- 35:00to draw people to come and play for the organization.
- 35:02They do not know how to keep anything in house.
- 35:04And now Tom Brady, who was very in house type of player over
- 35:08there with the Patriots, besides the Deflategate and all the
- 35:11other garbage that was coming out, all the stupid things, he
- 35:14was very to himself in that organization was very to himself
- 35:18all those years. That's why they were a Super
- 35:19Bowl contender every single year.
- 35:21This team is a debacle. If this story is true and
- 35:24somebody in this story has legs and he was the reason why it was
- 35:28detrimental the team because he was kissing somebody on a
- 35:30forehead. I think he has a lawsuit and I
- 35:34don't. I just I don't understand the
- 35:36story. And nobody's coming out with the
- 35:38true, true story. So now they're talking about him
- 35:41kissing a player on his forehead and that's why they were
- 35:44uncomfortable and they added to get rid of them.
- 35:46It made no sense. It makes no.
- 35:47Sense for the Raiders too, especially.
- 35:48This is a team that allowed these players to get away with
- 35:51so much worse. It doesn't.
- 35:52Make sense, Rolando McLean. Rolando McLean got drafted, then
- 35:55he had all those drug problems. Obviously you talk about the
- 35:58Gruden lawsuit too, the obviously Henry Rugs, what
- 36:00happened with him too, Like these are, this is an
- 36:02organization I think did you see?
- 36:04That Henry Rugs was on a podcast this past week.
- 36:06No, I didn't. He he apologized to the family.
- 36:08Yeah, the families that he ruined and and the people that
- 36:12he obviously murdered, yeah. You know which I believe he's
- 36:15with that kind of guy like. Yours.
- 36:16It was a girl and a dog. Right, it was it was a mother
- 36:19and a dog and I think the I think there was a child I think
- 36:22that ended up surviving luckily, but it was it was tough.
- 36:25And I think rugs like you were saying he's watched his best
- 36:27friend die when he was younger too.
- 36:29So I think he is genuinely like that a good person like that.
- 36:31That doesn't justify what I'm talking about more is the
- 36:33Raiders offseason process of letting them just get away with
- 36:35these things, drafting all these players with off field issue.
- 36:37I think the second most arrests in the 21st century.
- 36:39Yeah. You're going to cut a guy that's
- 36:41a good defensive tackle. And Christian Wilkins, would you
- 36:43drafted other young pass rushers to help around him because they
- 36:46kissed a teammate? What?
- 36:48That's ridiculous. You would imagine, I mean, the
- 36:51NFLPA has already filed A grievance.
- 36:53It's, I don't know how this is going to work with the cap.
- 36:56If they're trying to get out of it, they're trying to get out of
- 36:5837.2 million in guarantees. Now, we know the NFLPA's union
- 37:03is going through some upheaval at the moment, as we covered in
- 37:08the last couple of weeks. But I I know for a fact if this
- 37:12was baseball Java, the union wouldn't be having any of this,
- 37:15right? Oh no, it would it would be
- 37:19nipped in the bud quick. Yeah, it I, it's a bad time to
- 37:22be filing a grievance, especially with with the turmoil
- 37:25that they're going through with the PA right now.
- 37:27So I maybe that's kind of the way they looked at it like, oh,
- 37:32they're they're in shambles. Let's let's try to take
- 37:35advantage of this if we can. But if I mean, it's going to get
- 37:38strung out. I if that's, if this is the
- 37:40case, like, I mean, we've all been in clubhouses, we all been
- 37:44like, there's a lot worse going on.
- 37:46Is is there more to the story? I don't know, Do you think do?
- 37:50You think he has a lawsuit If this is, if this story comes out
- 37:54and that's the reason why they decided to part ways with him
- 37:57because he gets somebody on the forehead, don't you think he has
- 37:59a lawsuit? I would think he.
- 38:01Has 37.2 million at least to start of guaranteed money he
- 38:06should be suing for. One, yeah.
- 38:09And whatever it comes to like it's more than a conversation.
- 38:13It's not just like, hey, you know, it was Joe like, no, this
- 38:16is we're, we're going to, there's going to be some
- 38:18litigation. It's a contract, Jabba.
- 38:20This might scare other teams to wanting to bring them in because
- 38:23they might think he would make other people feel uncomfortable
- 38:27in their locker room. I mean, this could hurt his
- 38:29career. Think about.
- 38:31It and it, it sucks because that's that's the day and age we
- 38:34live in right now where something very harmless or
- 38:38whatever, like I said, I don't know this situation, it's just
- 38:41what we read right? And so I it sucks because
- 38:46there's so many ramifications that can come from this.
- 38:48Not only, you know, obviously the 37 million just to start,
- 38:52but like the opportunity to maybe have another job or be
- 38:56done like I and it's a headache that probably really didn't
- 39:01need. But and I don't know.
- 39:04And I read a couple of them and kind of just like skimmed
- 39:06through them, didn't read in depth.
- 39:07But who? Who even reported it is, is a
- 39:10better question. I It's very strange.
- 39:14I think they're probably not telling us the whole story for
- 39:17sure. I think everyone has played with
- 39:20somebody along their playing careers.
- 39:22If you played sports, that was just kind of weird in the locker
- 39:25room. They're a dumb.
- 39:26Organization, but like you deal with stuff like that, that's not
- 39:29a reason to void a contract. I, I just don't, I think it's
- 39:33crazy. I'm sure we'll hear more about
- 39:36this. I root for a really dumb
- 39:38organization. This might be the dumbest
- 39:40organization out of all organizations when it comes to
- 39:44football. They're really dumb.
- 39:46Well, let's go from dumb to smart then and talk about our
- 39:49boy Jim Harbaugh signing his left tackle Rashawn Slater to a
- 39:56monstrous ext 4 years, well over $100 million.
- 40:02This guy has been now is the bookend tackle opposite of Joe
- 40:06Alt for the foreseeable future. That gives them two top 10,
- 40:10arguably top five lineman. At the tackle position,
- 40:14protecting Justin Herbert, if you're drawing it up, I think
- 40:18that's how you do it for a Harbaugh offense, Errol.
- 40:21Oh, first of all, when Jim Harbaugh came in, he wanted to
- 40:24build onto that offensive line and that's what he's done.
- 40:27And and and you know what Jim likes do?
- 40:28He likes to run the ball. How are you going to run the
- 40:30ball if you don't have big behemoths like Rush or Shawn
- 40:34Slater? Rashawn Slater is one of the
- 40:36best tackles in the league. Even though he went down his
- 40:38first year with that bad injury, he was dominant the last two
- 40:42seasons and he's it's one of the best tackles in the league.
- 40:44There's no argument to that. And when you have a high profile
- 40:48tackle that good from Iowa State, as I told all the Jet
- 40:51fans, watch out for Will McDonald because he played with
- 40:55Rashawn Slater in practice with Rashawn Slater for two years.
- 41:00And I said what this guy is going to be and you're seeing
- 41:02the difference of what The Jets organization could be in the
- 41:04future with the finally getting a pass rusher that good.
- 41:07Rashawn Slater is that type of talent and I believe he is going
- 41:11to be the backbone of this team. If if Justin Herbert is going to
- 41:14win a Super Bowl, you need that blind side talent.
- 41:18A big probably the biggest left tackle in football in Richard
- 41:22Slater, very well deserved. And I think, I don't think you
- 41:24could argue he's one of the top three tackles in all the
- 41:27football. Yeah, his main issue has been
- 41:28injury problems in his career. He's been fantastic.
- 41:30Besides that, he's a good technique blocker, great, great
- 41:32pass blocker and compliments. Joe Alt is a bigger guy that
- 41:35also is a really good pass blocker, very well in that
- 41:37Charters offense. And you saw the running game
- 41:39that the Charters had last year with Dobbins off an ACL tear and
- 41:43all other main injuries too. And he had a great year.
- 41:45Goss Edwards played well in that scheme.
- 41:46Now they drafted a couple new other guys too to make it work.
- 41:49This is a great signing, very well deserved for Slater who's,
- 41:51like you said, top five tackle. When he if they stay healthy,
- 41:54that might be the best line in football.
- 41:55Oh yeah, easily. Yeah, I'm surprised it kind of
- 42:00took this long, but after seeing it, because, I mean, we've seen
- 42:04how you want to protect your guys, I mean, on both sides of
- 42:07the ball as a quarterback, and you have all on one side and
- 42:10signed him to that. And he's got great feet and
- 42:13knows what to do. And it'll be interesting to see
- 42:16how that translates to to Herbert's ear.
- 42:18Don't they have Johnson too? He was a first round talent too.
- 42:21He's their center now. He's going to play Center for
- 42:23them. Look, you have Slater.
- 42:27He was the number two overall tackle in all of football last
- 42:30year according to PFF. Joe Walt missed some time.
- 42:33If you remember, he still finished 20th.
- 42:35That is literally a top three and a top 10 lineman on your on
- 42:42your roster at the most important position with a kind
- 42:46of a stud center as well in there.
- 42:49This is what Harbaugh wants to do.
- 42:50If you go back all the way back to the Kaepernick teams in San
- 42:54Francisco, it was run first play action off of that.
- 42:58And if he can do that and do that with Justin Herbert, who
- 43:01can create on the move with the best of them and just be able to
- 43:05do pocket passing went like he wants to because Herbert could
- 43:07do that too. My God, if you give that guy
- 43:10time, it's a scary. That San Francisco offensive
- 43:14line is nowhere close to the talent that this Charger.
- 43:17Right. No.
- 43:18This is special. This is special.
- 43:20This is special. This is by far the best offense.
- 43:22If they stay healthy this year, they're going to cause a lot of
- 43:25havoc, a lot of havoc. And by the way, Kansas City,
- 43:28they're going to have problems against this team this year
- 43:30because Kansas City, they're getting old up there in the
- 43:33defensive side of the ball. They paid Chris Jones and
- 43:36they're really, there's a lot of questions to their, their front
- 43:39seven. I, I don't know if they're going
- 43:40to be as dominant as they've been over the last couple of
- 43:43years. They're getting old there.
- 43:44So I, I, I could see Kansas City being a wild card team.
- 43:48I don't even think they're going to win the division.
- 43:50I think that division's much better.
- 43:52The Broncos are much better. They added some good talent in
- 43:55the offseason. And then obviously the Chargers.
- 43:58The Chargers have a different team and very well built with
- 44:01Jim Harbaugh and and by the way, they got a tremendous run game
- 44:05too, so. Well, let's go to that other
- 44:07team you were just mentioning and the Broncos who decided to
- 44:10extend their number one receiver, Portland Sutton four
- 44:13years, going to be averaging over 20 million a season.
- 44:17Now. This guy is one of those guys
- 44:20who always pass the eye test. That's actually it was always
- 44:22bad. It's it well, he's had injuries,
- 44:24right and he hasn't been able to stay healthy for a full season.
- 44:28He was good last year. He's got separation, he's got
- 44:32size. You have to put a good corner on
- 44:35him. I think it's a really good move
- 44:37and you want to have a guy like that for a young quarterback.
- 44:40It just makes a lot of sense. Good move by a good team.
- 44:42I love court and son and by the way, I I always draft him in my
- 44:47fantasy draft. I probably in the last five
- 44:49years I've drafted him three times.
- 44:51If he could stay healthy, he puts up numbers, especially in
- 44:54the second-half of the season. He really is the best offensive
- 44:58option they have over there and he could do so many things.
- 45:01I saw them using him in the back and and Sean Payne's going to
- 45:04use them in in hitch passes. He they've used them in the run
- 45:07game. He could do so many things.
- 45:09He's big, he's strong, he's going to go up there and get the
- 45:12ball, and I just think he's one of the more underrated wide
- 45:15receivers right now in football. I don't think people understand
- 45:18how valuable he is to the Broncos offense.
- 45:20Yeah, this is a contract that you saw that it's just based on
- 45:23the lower tier of that kind of that lower end ones.
- 45:26But again, he does so many good things and they don't have
- 45:28anything like him on that team. So they had to get this done.
- 45:31We were talking about it when Lance Sanderson was on our show
- 45:33too, like how much receiving depth they badly needed, and
- 45:35they really didn't address it. And so they're really trusting
- 45:37their young guys in order to do that.
- 45:39You need a veteran to do this. So they had to lock this up.
- 45:42Yeah, I mean, I'd like it. No, I'd like it for the years,
- 45:45too. I mean, he's 29 and you got four
- 45:48years and just a big, strong receiver.
- 45:50I think I have to follow the Broncos because my sons a
- 45:53Broncos fan, so I have to know a little bit.
- 45:57They did. And by the way, Pitch Grid says
- 45:59the Chiefs have upgraded on their O line and D line.
- 46:03No one's talking about it. Yeah, they upgraded, but there's
- 46:05still questions to their offensive line.
- 46:07They get they let guys go. They traded away pieces, veteran
- 46:11guys that have been successful there and they've won Super
- 46:14Bowls with and they're banking on a guard.
- 46:17They overpaid. So I, I understand what you're
- 46:20saying and I know pitch grid you're you're a chiefs fan, but
- 46:23you sit here and you think, are they really that much better
- 46:25than they were last year? They're old.
- 46:27They're banking on Travis Kelsey having a better season than from
- 46:31from last year when they he had a bad year last year.
- 46:33And they really besides their number one option at the wide
- 46:37receiver, where do they have in the secondary second second
- 46:40options with their wide receivers?
- 46:42I don't know if they do, and they're going to bank on Patrick
- 46:45Mahomes running for his dear life when he gets out of the
- 46:47pocket. It was patched, Mahomes.
- 46:49I'm worried this season when I see what the Broncos did in the
- 46:51offseason and what I've seen, what the Chargers done even.
- 46:55Even the Raiders done some some good things in the offseason and
- 46:58they added Pete Carroll. He's a viable coach.
- 47:01He really isn't. Geno Smith is still, say
- 47:04whatever you want about Gino. Gino's been a pretty decent
- 47:07quarterback over the last couple of years.
- 47:09The Raiders done some good things.
- 47:10Only the defensive. Tackle as good as Christian
- 47:12Wilkins. You know Broncos.
- 47:14Going to have a. Really good defense, maybe one
- 47:16of the best in the league now they get to have their look
- 47:18sudden 64215 he had 81 catches almost 1100 yards 8 touchdowns
- 47:24that last year with a rookie quarterback he got to want to
- 47:28throw it to that guy he's a red zone target even if he slows
- 47:30down near the end of this contract, it's a great move
- 47:34Let's go ahead and I think they. Didn't have an Ingram so that's
- 47:38another weapon. Yeah.
- 47:39Except he's got hands made out of.
- 47:40Stone, as we all remember, let's go to That was Roberto Duran.
- 47:45Stop. Stop.
- 47:46Giving him any compliments. OK, go ahead.
- 47:49Well, that's what we always used to call somebody.
- 47:50Couldn't catch stone hands, but Super Bowl ticket suspensions.
- 47:54Did you hear this story, John? But we talked about a little
- 47:56before we got on the air, Apparently there's going to be a
- 47:59whole bunch of suspensions handed out to players and staff
- 48:04alike because they were selling their Super Bowl tickets resale
- 48:08on the open market at a higher value than they got them, which
- 48:12is a big no no. You are not allowed to do that
- 48:15if the league gives it to you. Apparently this happens in all
- 48:17leagues and it's well known. And people were not even trying
- 48:21to hide it. They were going on StubHub
- 48:23reselling them while the NFL came down.
- 48:25They said there's going to be over 100 suspensions.
- 48:29Now, you would imagine that would have to be players that
- 48:32were on the teams that played in the Super Bowl.
- 48:34So that could be the Eagles and Chiefs are facing some key
- 48:38players with suspensions to start the season, let alone some
- 48:41of their staffing. Pretty wild accusations and a
- 48:46number of people that might be suspended.
- 48:47Hey, let me ask you a question is.
- 48:49Roger Goodell doing it, I'm sure he's doing it too.
- 48:52So if Roger Goodell and executives could be selling and
- 48:55giving away tickets the way they are, why can't the players do
- 48:58the same thing? I understand it's illegal in the
- 49:01NFL has their, their, I guess, illegal things that they're
- 49:05going to absolutely drop the hammer on players.
- 49:07But guess what? CTE.
- 49:09Remember that story and they brush that onto the rug.
- 49:12Every single thing the NFL likes to brush under the rug to
- 49:14protect themselves. But when it comes to things that
- 49:17they don't allow and it's a big no no, they drop the hammer on
- 49:20the players. Players should be allowed if
- 49:22they're giving tickets and they want to sell them.
- 49:24They they want to evaluate selling their tickets, just like
- 49:28if they want to bet on sport, not their own game, but the same
- 49:31sport and different, you know, different games, they should be
- 49:34allowed to. I I don't understand these
- 49:37rules. I don't understand the NFL on
- 49:39obviously the trend that they're setting to these players.
- 49:43And I also think that when you look at the league and you look
- 49:46at the NFL and the what they're making off the Super Bowl on
- 49:49commercials, why are they bitching in the moment, bitching
- 49:52and moaning that the players are trying to make a dime or make a
- 49:54make a pretty penny off the game when they're trying to sell the
- 49:57tickets? I don't get it.
- 49:59No, that's that's when the players don't get.
- 50:00Their guaranteed money, all the collusion stuff that's been
- 50:03going on, that's another thing. They're the only.
- 50:05Sport, they don't. The players don't get guaranteed
- 50:07money. So then you look at this signing
- 50:10bonus, you look at a case like this where they're looking for.
- 50:12The extra money this way, so if I get a $20 million signing
- 50:15bonus. You know what I'm doing, guys?
- 50:16I'm buying Super Bowl tickets if I'm a player and I'm selling
- 50:19them on the bar kids, but I buy a stake at The Jets.
- 50:22So you could tell Woody Johnson with the right thing to do.
- 50:25Let's talk to Saquon Barkley. He just.
- 50:27Made a boatload of money this off.
- 50:30No, I I think too. Why?
- 50:32Why it is is and why you find out, I don't think it's
- 50:36necessarily error. Like you said, the like you
- 50:40actually you have to buy the tickets.
- 50:41You don't get them for free. And so you, you, you get to, I
- 50:47don't know exactly how football works, but So what happens is
- 50:52why they find out or how they can find out is because that
- 50:55book of tickets that is sold is in our family section or it's in
- 50:59the friends section. So that's how people find out
- 51:03they're getting sold like third party is because you know,
- 51:06you're sitting in the family section and it's a different and
- 51:11you're like, where'd you get these tickets?
- 51:12And you're like, I bought them when darn well, everybody knows
- 51:16that that's a player of staff ticket.
- 51:18And I don't know what the fine is.
- 51:21I, I've experienced this personally with the guy and I
- 51:24don't know how it works in football if like practice squad
- 51:27is allowed to get tickets. But if you're on the 40 man in
- 51:30baseball, then you, you, you can buy tickets like you're not on
- 51:34the active roster, obviously, but you can buy tickets.
- 51:39And then that's what happens. A lot of those guys that aren't
- 51:41going to the game, they're still able to buy tickets and they
- 51:43sell them. And then you now you've got a
- 51:46rival fan and honestly, honestly, Jabba, you're going to
- 51:50tell me executives. Aren't doing it.
- 51:51Come on, You're going to tell me owners aren't going out there.
- 51:54You're going to tell me if Jerry Jones got like 10 Super Bowl
- 51:57tickets, he's not going on, his sons aren't going on, you know,
- 52:02eBay or whatever the hell they're doing and selling the
- 52:04tickets and using different names to sell them that they
- 52:07can't get caught. If I'm going on eBay and I'm
- 52:10making a four thing, if you're an owner and you have 10.
- 52:12Tickets. Why are you selling them?
- 52:13They're not doing that. OK, Floyd Mayweather.
- 52:16There was a story coming out when he fought Conor McGregor.
- 52:19He put a bet in that he was going to TKO or knockout Conor
- 52:23McGregor in 11 rounds, and he let Conor McGregor last to 11
- 52:28rounds and then he TKO them. And there were stories coming
- 52:31out that he made a boatload of money off of that, but they
- 52:34couldn't pin it on him. Why?
- 52:36Because they had somebody. He had somebody use his name and
- 52:40bet on the fight, and he gave them money.
- 52:43Well, yeah, he just, he he just has.
- 52:44Pigeons. It's what they call them
- 52:46pigeons. So you pay them the money and
- 52:47make. That's what I'm saying.
- 52:48So how? Could you pin it on somebody if
- 52:50they're using somebody else to sell the tickets?
- 52:53Oh, because there's a number on the ticket and they, they were
- 52:55handed the tickets. Free tickets.
- 52:57Get out of here. I gave that guy the ticket.
- 52:59If he wants to sell them, he could sell them.
- 53:02That's it. All right, all right.
- 53:04Let's let's wrap up the whip around last story.
- 53:07Scary one Deion Sanders had a press conference today and
- 53:11announced that he had surgery to remove a tumor and he had to
- 53:16remove his entire bladder because of cancer.
- 53:20He said, though with a doctor, Doctor Janet Kukreja was the
- 53:25director of your urology. I can't even pronounce this
- 53:28cancer doctor for. Urology.
- 53:30Said he's cured of cancer, didn't say remission.
- 53:33Said cured, which is interesting.
- 53:35So this was not an easy task. It was dynamic, it was tough.
- 53:38It wasn't a Kate walk. It wasn't easy.
- 53:40Sanders lost 25 lbs. It's a fight, but we made it.
- 53:45A lot of things going on obviously in Dion.
- 53:47'S life with his kids. But this is a crazy story I
- 53:51wanted to end with this one. Sent him some love from us here
- 53:54on the show but go ahead Aaron. Mike is in the medical field.
- 53:57Do you? Have you ever heard anything
- 53:59like this before? It just magically disappeared.
- 54:02He's cured. Have you ever heard this before,
- 54:05Alakazam? I mean usually cancer you go
- 54:08for. Treatment.
- 54:08I mean, he's in remission. Oh, he's not in remit.
- 54:11I mean, unless you know it's so. Small you can operate it and
- 54:15remove it, but I, I, I don't know makes no sense.
- 54:19There's no. Story makes.
- 54:21How do you come out? I'm just being honest here.
- 54:23I'm not going to question anybody's health.
- 54:25No, I'm happy that he's healthy. And he's doing well and he never
- 54:28has to deal with cancer again. Wherever it was, it was
- 54:31probably, you know, it could be in his, I don't know, in his
- 54:34bladder, whatever prostate, wherever he had cancer.
- 54:38The fact is there's no possible way that it's completely cured.
- 54:42No possible way. I mean, if you have cancer,
- 54:46you're in remission. It's and obviously they they
- 54:49contained it, but it's not gone. It's not cured unless there's
- 54:53some magical ointment that he rubbed on his unit, his asshole
- 54:58or whatever the hell it was and wherever the cancer was.
- 55:01It makes no sense. The story makes no sense.
- 55:04I'm happy is OK. I'm so happy for Deon Sanders.
- 55:08Hopefully he lives a long lasting life.
- 55:10I I wish nothing but the best, but the story makes no sense.
- 55:13It doesn't magically disappear. OK, facts.
- 55:17Go ask any doctor. I've never heard this before.
- 55:20Never. I'll take it from a different
- 55:22standpoint too, because. My grandfather, I lost him to
- 55:24bladder cancer back in 2021 and again, it was tough for what
- 55:28they were discovered. Took like 6 months.
- 55:30There's a lot of wrongful thing. Eventually passed away in 20
- 55:33December 2021 too. So again, it might be a tricky
- 55:35type thing, but again, wishing the best for Deon too, and
- 55:39anyone that's going through that now with any types of cancer is
- 55:42terrible. All right, Yeah, it's.
- 55:45Go ahead. Yeah.
- 55:46No, no, I just. Yeah, it it.
- 55:47Was weird to me, but at the end of the day, like Mike, you said,
- 55:50we're not going to question anybody's health, so let's just
- 55:52hope and pray that that is it and they got rid of it.
- 55:55I'm not questioning his health. Health job I just doesn't make
- 55:58sense. The story makes no sense.
- 56:00How do you come out with a story and says he's cured he doesn't
- 56:03have to worry about cancer anymore It's gone completely
- 56:06gone and then I it says there it's not even remission anymore.
- 56:11How it doesn't make sense small tumor that they're able to.
- 56:17Yeah, but it's that that's considered.
- 56:19Remission and it says that he's not in remission anymore.
- 56:23It doesn't make sense. The story, I mean, shut the
- 56:25musical, it makes no sense. The story makes no sense.
- 56:30Now I'm happy again. I'm not questioning his health.
- 56:34And Deion Sanders is OK. I wish him nothing but the best.
- 56:37You don't want to wish any bad upon anybody.
- 56:40But the story makes no sense. That's all I'm saying.
- 56:44Read the story. Read the article.
- 56:45It makes no sense if you know anything about the medical
- 56:48field. That's why I asked you, Mike.
- 56:50Have you ever heard that before? Have you ever heard a story like
- 56:53this? Oh, it's completely gone.
- 56:54It's cured. I've never heard a story like
- 56:57that. And I'm not a doctor, but if I
- 56:59went to a doctor right now and I have doctor friends, you know
- 57:02what? When we go to break, when we
- 57:04have our guests, I'm going to reach out to my doctor friend.
- 57:06I'm going to see if he could come on with us and, and I, I
- 57:09want to ask him, have you ever heard any story like this where
- 57:12you have cancer without going through chemo treatment?
- 57:14Chemo treatment. Or anything and cured.
- 57:17And he's not in remission. There's nothing.
- 57:21There's nothing. The cells are gone.
- 57:22He's fine. He's absolutely cured.
- 57:24Have you ever heard anything like this?
- 57:26Unless he's dude, he there, there.
- 57:27He's a test dummy for dogs or something.
- 57:29I mean, it doesn't make sense. The story doesn't make any
- 57:32sense. That's all I'm saying.
- 57:33All right, ladies and gentlemen, we got another segment.
- 57:36Tic Tac. No.
- 57:37Tick. Tick.
- 57:40Morris. Right in the butt.
- 57:43We get the. Prizes cheat because they're
- 57:45stolen. No.
- 57:48No, no, no, no, no. Mike never saw the picture of
- 57:56Speedy. Dancing when we were over there
- 57:58in Atlanta, not Atlanta in Connecticut when you were
- 58:01supposed to come out with us, Mike.
- 58:03Yeah. Speedy was getting down with
- 58:06his. Speaking of dancing, did he
- 58:08dance? For his birthday, I don't know.
- 58:10I wasn't there. We're.
- 58:11Going out this coming week, this weekend, probably Sunday to
- 58:14celebrate his birthday. Everybody can come out if they
- 58:16want. I don't know where we're going,
- 58:18but I'm setting it up. It'll be fun.
- 58:20It definitely will be going. You're going to gossip.
- 58:23What? You're going to gossip?
- 58:24I don't know what that means. Yeah, he's.
- 58:26I'll get him a lap dance. No doubt about it.
- 58:29He deserves my goodness. Oh God, Speedy.
- 58:31We don't have a lot of time before I guess, so let's get
- 58:33into your great questions here. So we'll start with one hall.
- 58:37Of Famer Ichiro, one of two players would be Rookie of the
- 58:41Year and MVP. The other one was a Red Sox.
- 58:43Name this player. Rookie of the Year in MVP.
- 58:48Yep, and he was a Red Sox or Red Sox.
- 58:50I'll give you a time range. Last 30 years, Dennis or the
- 58:53last 40 years he wasn't rookie Dennis came.
- 58:56From the A's I mean he also. Played in the Red Sox, yeah, but
- 59:00he wasn't rookie 40 years. So you're saying go back to
- 59:03yeah. So no, don't say Ted Williams or
- 59:05your. Stremski or anything like that,
- 59:07I'll give you that hint. That's a hard question.
- 59:11Wasn't there a guy who got? Like hit in the face and then
- 59:14never played again or something like that.
- 59:16That was great. Not M, not M.
- 59:18No, this guy had a this. Guy had a good that's.
- 59:19Before. That that's before, Yeah, this
- 59:20guy. Had a good career, Yeah, OK.
- 59:23All right, Rookie of. The year and MVP, I'm gonna say.
- 59:26Was it Clemens? Nope.
- 59:30All right. Hall.
- 59:31Hall of Fame. I will verify that I'm.
- 59:33Not 100% sure. Let me check for you Rookie of
- 59:36the Year and. MVPI Think I have an idea.
- 59:40Red Sox. No cheating, no Googling.
- 59:44No, cheating is not in the Hall of Fame is.
- 59:48Not oh shoot, never mind. Dang it, we're.
- 59:51Going to have a time. Limit on this one.
- 59:53Because we don't have a ton of time, so I'm going to put the
- 59:55clock on. How long ago do you need
- 59:56guesses? I mean give.
- 59:57Us a hint eight 80s in the 80s eighties in the. 80s rookie of
- 1:00:02the. Year and MVP.
- 1:00:05Was it Was it Rice? No.
- 1:00:07Was it Dwight Evans? Nope.
- 1:00:09Same error you. Can't make the same error if you
- 1:00:11already. Neither one of those can't do
- 1:00:13any right though. Same error.
- 1:00:14You can't do that. You can only make one best.
- 1:00:16You can only pick one 80s. All right.
- 1:00:21Need a guess guys. I got nothing.
- 1:00:27In the 80s he was, I don't know if.
- 1:00:29I'm going to. I'm going to throw a shot in the
- 1:00:31dark. Fred Lynn, you got it.
- 1:00:34Java got it. Oh, Jabba.
- 1:00:37I just remember there was like. Little and it was like they were
- 1:00:40comparing like Pedroia and that like when he was my third, he
- 1:00:42was going to be my third answer. Because that's why I was going
- 1:00:45back to Rice, Dwight Evans and I remember Fred Lynn after that.
- 1:00:49Jabba Middle. Yeah.
- 1:00:52All right, once you said Dwight. Evans.
- 1:00:54I was like, oh, he started ringing a bell, right?
- 1:00:57Yeah. Next question, Speedy.
- 1:00:59Next one. So obviously.
- 1:01:00The Cam. Newton, Jalen.
- 1:01:01Hurts feud. They're both top three and
- 1:01:03rushing touchdowns all time. Who is second?
- 1:01:05Hit it again. So Cam Newton.
- 1:01:07And Jalen Hurts are both. Number one and #3 in all time
- 1:01:10rushing touchdowns for a quarterback who is second.
- 1:01:16I mean, I'm thinking of one or two guys, Mike.
- 1:01:18Vick. Nope.
- 1:01:19Randall Cunningham? Nope.
- 1:01:21Those were the two guys I was thinking.
- 1:01:22Of so I've got one, I got 1. Could it be Steve?
- 1:01:26Young. Nope.
- 1:01:29There's two there's. Two guys that.
- 1:01:31Has to be. #2 you said right? Yep.
- 1:01:40Is he a present day player? Yes, this dobber in the dirt.
- 1:01:44Lamar Jackson? Nope.
- 1:01:48All right, Mercedes left to. Jabba Oh, it's still and he.
- 1:01:52Still, he probably Is he a backup?
- 1:01:54Gosh, no, it's not a backup. You want my?
- 1:01:56Cream pie It's. Far from a backup.
- 1:01:59Blowjob so it's not tie rod. Taylor Droba.
- 1:02:02It's not. It's like 1 of.
- 1:02:03Those guys. 2nd Droba. Droba, Josh Allen.
- 1:02:11Yep, you got it. Oh.
- 1:02:15That's awesome. Looks like we got to tell Nathan
- 1:02:19if you could pop out of the studio.
- 1:02:20So we have someone coming in. So I told Zach to pop out.
- 1:02:23All right, Zach. So pop on out.
- 1:02:25We'll get Jabba up here with this next one.
- 1:02:28Where you want to go? Jabba bottom right.
- 1:02:32All right, right, let's see if we can't get.
- 1:02:34The sweep on Speedy here Speedy. My rear end is burning.
- 1:02:37Let's. Go back to.
- 1:02:37Go back to. MLB Who has the most hits for a
- 1:02:41foreign born player? Most hits it's not Ichiro so.
- 1:02:48It's not Itro, not MLB hits not combined.
- 1:02:50Hits with look to Japan. So this this guy has more MLB
- 1:02:54hits all time. OK, MLB hits all right.
- 1:02:59You just said foreign. You didn't say Japanese.
- 1:03:01Right, you said. That's how I started to.
- 1:03:03Think that's called sex? There's barely any hair.
- 1:03:13I'm not licking anyone. I'm going to.
- 1:03:16Pull this out because he played nine. 100 years Julio Franco.
- 1:03:19Nope. No, it's.
- 1:03:21Going to be someone that was like.
- 1:03:23A legendary. It's good for you.
- 1:03:29It's good for both. Willy whoppers feeding Willy
- 1:03:32whoppers if this is like some Canadian crap.
- 1:03:34I'm going to be so mad. Oh, I'm.
- 1:03:39An idiot. Why can't I think of this?
- 1:03:45It's going to be someone who had 3000 hits.
- 1:03:48So dumb. You don't like we got to put the
- 1:03:51clock on. We need to.
- 1:03:52Get a guess. I got nothing.
- 1:03:54Drove Mercedes-Benz. That's an interesting guess.
- 1:04:04Breaking news A lot of. Hot ladies, you're going to
- 1:04:08punch yourself when when you hear it.
- 1:04:10Yum Yum bug. Bug Man Bagel.
- 1:04:13Hole, Errol. Errol, have you?
- 1:04:14Made your guess, I have no idea. I have no idea all.
- 1:04:20Right, for the interest of time, I'm going to.
- 1:04:22Give up, Speedy. What do you got?
- 1:04:23Albert Bowles? Oh.
- 1:04:25Jesus. I told you.
- 1:04:28Lulu, OH. My goodness.
- 1:04:31All right. Speedy for the block here.
- 1:04:33Yep. All right, so speedy.
- 1:04:35Let's try to pick up the pace here.
- 1:04:37Let's So you guys were talking about the sneakers last week.
- 1:04:39MJ and LeBron are obviously the two billionaires when it comes
- 1:04:41to sneakers. Who has the most third most
- 1:04:43profit in sneaker sales? Kevin Durant and Tommy gets it
- 1:04:46right away. Tommy poops.
- 1:04:49Tommy, we're going to give you you have your own avatar.
- 1:04:52Let's get it in here, Tommy. Where we going?
- 1:04:55We'll go, I guess. Right on.
- 1:04:57Top of Java, right on top, right there in the middle, in the
- 1:05:01middle. I mean middle, middle, top,
- 1:05:03middle. Middle right or.
- 1:05:05You can leave right there, That's fine.
- 1:05:08Jesus. Christ, all right, go middle,
- 1:05:09right. Because then they can win twice.
- 1:05:11Next stupid, next we got. That's where I was.
- 1:05:13That was where I was talking about SO.
- 1:05:14We've talked about fish. A lot The Shamar Stewart saga.
- 1:05:18He finally signed, but it was it was the second longest after
- 1:05:21Joey Bosa for defensive player who has the record.
- 1:05:23He's a 49ers player for an offensive player that held out
- 1:05:27doing it in 2009. Le'veon Bell. 49ers, 49ers.
- 1:05:34What was the question? What was the question?
- 1:05:35What? 49ers offensive player.
- 1:05:37Was the longest rookie to sit out.
- 1:05:39He sat until October without a new contract.
- 1:05:42In 2009, it was. A rookie drafted in 2009.
- 1:05:48Offensive Player. 09 Yep, I have no idea.
- 1:06:01I have no. Plan.
- 1:06:04Is he a good? Player yes, A.
- 1:06:05Good player, any idea? Good players.
- 1:06:08Was it diesel? Samuel, Joe.
- 1:06:10Staley 2009 No. Too early for me.
- 1:06:14Not Joe Staley, No. I have a few orders. 2009 but.
- 1:06:19It's a time machine, all right. Nothing.
- 1:06:24All right, Speedy, you get this one.
- 1:06:26All right. What is it?
- 1:06:27It was Michael Crabtree. Oh, Nathan put that.
- 1:06:30In the chat, Nathan, stop not. Understanding how to play the
- 1:06:34game? Idiot.
- 1:06:36All right. Speedy, which one you spelled?
- 1:06:37Crabtree, right all. Right.
- 1:06:39So, Crabtree, I guess we'll just make it for the I.
- 1:06:42Like anal makes the last question for the win.
- 1:06:44We'll go right there. All right, here it is.
- 1:06:45Last question, All right. For the win.
- 1:06:46So we'll do this based on our. Guests Jake McGee, who's in our
- 1:06:50feed now, He'll be on in just a bit.
- 1:06:51What Hall of Famer did Jake McGee of his first career
- 1:06:53strikeout against? When did he start?
- 1:06:56What year did he start all? Right, so he was he started
- 1:06:59with. The Rays so and it was 2010 so
- 1:07:02it have to be a Yankee. Was it in Give us I?
- 1:07:05Mean this is tough. Give us was it in division?
- 1:07:07In division, I'll give you that. Yeah, that's bad.
- 1:07:09In division that helps me. Because Jobby, you were.
- 1:07:13You were there. That's why I asked.
- 1:07:15Probably Jim Lehrer. No, Jim Lehrer's wasn't.
- 1:07:18Playing that plan, 2010 it was. In division, he's got The Time
- 1:07:22Machine going. I'm going to say.
- 1:07:28Was. It Jeter, Yeah.
- 1:07:30It's Jeter. Wow, I said.
- 1:07:32It was a yank. Java for the win.
- 1:07:35Java with the help of Mikey CS time.
- 1:07:37Machine there it is. Java is.
- 1:07:40Somebody cheating tonight? No, Mike just got The Time
- 1:07:44Machine. Active, we did it.
- 1:07:47Once again. All right, all right, ladies.
- 1:07:50And gentlemen, my golf clap of the day this.
- 1:07:54Deserves a golf. Clap.
- 1:07:56No doubt. Golf.
- 1:07:56Clap. Golf clap.
- 1:08:00My golf clap of the day goes to. The great Terry Bradshaw Terry
- 1:08:04Bradshaw took shots at Aaron Rodgers Former Pittsburgh
- 1:08:08Steelers quarterback and Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw did not
- 1:08:12hold back on the never ending Aaron Rodgers saga back in May
- 1:08:16Rodgers was nowhere insight at OTAs and that didn't set with
- 1:08:22four times Super Bowl champion. That's a joke Bradshaw.
- 1:08:26Bradshaw said on one O 3.7 The buzz when he asked about Rodgers
- 1:08:31not giving the Steelers an answer yet.
- 1:08:33That is to that is to me just a joke.
- 1:08:37That's what it that's what he said.
- 1:08:39Here's what I got to say about Terry Bradshaw.
- 1:08:41Terry Bradshaw was a great quarterback, but he's not Aaron
- 1:08:45Rodgers. OK, he's not, but he's
- 1:08:47absolutely right about Aaron Rodgers.
- 1:08:50Aaron Rodgers is all about himself.
- 1:08:52He he he doesn't really look at the team that he's playing for.
- 1:08:56Aaron Rodgers has always had this problem taking control of
- 1:09:00who he is as a player and what he is as a player.
- 1:09:03And that what that is why Aaron Rodgers over the years with The
- 1:09:06Jets, with the Green Bay Packers, over the two years,
- 1:09:09even when he was at the top of his game, decides not to show up
- 1:09:12OTAs and be there for the team. So my my golf clap of the day
- 1:09:16goes to Terry Bradshaw. Bradshaw opening his mouth and
- 1:09:19saying what he really feels about Aaron Rodgers.
- 1:09:22But he shouldn't be opening his mouth because Terry Bradshaw as
- 1:09:26good as he was winning 4 Super Bowls, he really wasn't the
- 1:09:30superstar of those Super Bowls. So I could care less what Terry
- 1:09:33Bradshaw has to say. I want to hear from the players,
- 1:09:36I want to hear from Mike Tomlin. I want to hear from the guys
- 1:09:39that actually need something. OK, so my golf clap of the day
- 1:09:43goes to Terry Bradshaw for opening, hurting his mouth, but
- 1:09:45now shutting it. So that's my Golf Club of the
- 1:09:48day. It goes there.
- 1:09:50I had to come up with something because there's really nothing
- 1:09:53to talk about and there's nothing to give golf clap.
- 1:09:56But I did read a story. I did read this story.
- 1:09:58It actually came out a couple hours ago and I I didn't
- 1:10:02understand it, but Terry Bradshaw has every right to say
- 1:10:05something, but really has no right.
- 1:10:07I don't care if he's a four time Super Bowl champion.
- 1:10:10He didn't he wasn't even the superstar in that team.
- 1:10:13And who keeps moving this frame? It's really making me dizzy.
- 1:10:16I mean, I don't get it. But anyways, thank you to Mike
- 1:10:19for joining us. I know he's been busy setting up
- 1:10:21for his, his. Well, it's kind of your
- 1:10:25daughter, right? It's your niece.
- 1:10:27But my niece, you raised her. So it's kind of like your
- 1:10:30daughter her 30th birthday. So whiskey neat.
- 1:10:33So he's setting it up next Friday.
- 1:10:35Next Friday. So congratulations to, you know,
- 1:10:38Mike and his his niece or whatever, whatever he wants to
- 1:10:42consider She. She is because my niece.
- 1:10:44Yeah. Well, no, you said you you
- 1:10:45raised her. So it's kind of like your
- 1:10:46daughter. You know, I like it.
- 1:10:48But technically all. Right, she's your niece anyways.

- 1:11:45And Mike. Anytime, man, anytime.
- 1:11:48You want to come and join us. I mean, your takes, the
- 1:11:51lackluster of takes because we didn't talk much about the

- 1:11:56the Celtics, no, you don't talk about the Celtics, he's off.
- 1:12:01And and by the way, he is not a giant fan as much as she wants
