- 0:04Speaker 1: My name is Victor Furman. Some call me the Voice.
- 0:09Speaker 1: I've always been fascinated with human nature, spirituality, science and
- 0:15Speaker 1: the crossroads at which they meet. Join me now and
- 0:18Speaker 1: we will explore these topics and so much more with
- 0:22Speaker 1: fascinating guests, authors and experts who will guide us to
- 0:28Speaker 1: Destination Unlimited. What is your sole design? How may you
- 0:38Speaker 1: discover your sole origin, archetype, and purpose and use that
- 0:44Speaker 1: knowledge to elevate your current life. My guest this week
- 0:48Speaker 1: on Destination Unlimited, Doctor Linda Backman, has developed Soul Essence Psychology,
- 0:55Speaker 1: a program for examining your current life persona combined with
- 0:59Speaker 1: your soul design. Doctor Backman, a licensed psychologist, has been
- 1:04Speaker 1: in private practice for more than thirty years. Linda's degrees
- 1:08Speaker 1: come from the University of Oregon, University of North Carolina,
- 1:12Speaker 1: and Northern Arizona University. In addition, Linda has received training
- 1:18Speaker 1: in numerous traditional and non traditional techniques, including hypnotherapy, between lives,
- 1:25Speaker 1: soul regression therapy, past life regression therapy, and shamanic soul retrieval.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Linda has presented on numerous topics nationally and internationally for
- 1:36Speaker 1: a number of years. Her website is Ravenheartcenter dot com,
- 1:41Speaker 1: and she joins me this week to share her path
- 1:43Speaker 1: and new book, Sole Design, a Regressionist's guide to Past lives,
- 1:49Speaker 1: origin and Purpose. Please join me in welcoming back to
- 1:55Speaker 1: Destination Unlimited, Linda Backman. Welcome, Linda, Thank you.
- 2:00Speaker 2: It's nice to be back with you after so much time.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Absolutely, in fact, the last time you were on was
- 2:07Speaker 1: July twenty nineteen, which is way too long ago. We're
- 2:10Speaker 1: not going to let that happen again. Please begin by
- 2:13Speaker 1: sharing with our listeners your path and how it evolved
- 2:16Speaker 1: into your calling as a past life regressionist and studying
- 2:20Speaker 1: the nature of the soul.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Okay, all right, well let's see if I can make
- 2:25Speaker 2: this not too long of a story. So the story basically, Victor,
- 2:32Speaker 2: is that in nineteen ninety three, I was a psychologist
- 2:37Speaker 2: in general private practice, doing what people would imagine general
- 2:43Speaker 2: private practitioner, practitioner counselors and psychologists do, working with people
- 2:48Speaker 2: with all types of issues and concerns in their life.
- 2:52Speaker 2: I had always had a strong interest in death, dying
- 2:56Speaker 2: in grief work. Prior to ninety three. I thought I
- 3:00Speaker 2: knew why, but I really discovered I didn't know why.
- 3:04Speaker 2: So what happened in nineteen ninety three, actually almost exactly
- 3:08Speaker 2: thirty one years ago, my original psychologist colleague, a friend
- 3:14Speaker 2: and colleague that he was. He passed from a type
- 3:19Speaker 2: of lung cancer at the age of thirty two, and
- 3:23Speaker 2: when he passed, within a day or two, I began
- 3:27Speaker 2: to have spiritual experiences that I had never certainly consciously
- 3:35Speaker 2: had before. What happened was I began to sense him
- 3:39Speaker 2: commuting hating from the other side. That was totally new
- 3:43Speaker 2: to me, and I knew, you know, just a minor
- 3:46Speaker 2: amount of what is reincarnation, and I didn't know if
- 3:51Speaker 2: I believed in past lives back then. I sensed that
- 3:55Speaker 2: he began to show me scenes in my mind's eye
- 3:59Speaker 2: of past life we had shared. So the left brain
- 4:03Speaker 2: part of me thought, well, this is kind of weird
- 4:06Speaker 2: and what's going on and how does this work? But
- 4:10Speaker 2: the right brain part of me was quite fascinated. So
- 4:15Speaker 2: I decided I needed to explain what was happening for
- 4:18Speaker 2: me to my husband, who is still my husband. My
- 4:23Speaker 2: husband and I have always been pretty liberal politically socially,
- 4:28Speaker 2: but strangely enough, we had never spoken about soul or
- 4:32Speaker 2: reincarnation or anything like that. So my husband sat down
- 4:37Speaker 2: and I began to explain what was happening. And my
- 4:42Speaker 2: husband looked at me with this really calm expression on
- 4:45Speaker 2: his face, and so I said, I guess you don't
- 4:49Speaker 2: think this is weird? Is that right? And he looked
- 4:53Speaker 2: back at me and said no, I really don't. My
- 4:56Speaker 2: husband's not a psychologist, he's a retired university professor, and
- 5:01Speaker 2: so he said, no, I don't think it's strange. And
- 5:04Speaker 2: so I said, kind of quizzically, I said why not,
- 5:08Speaker 2: And basically he said, well, I realized today that you're
- 5:15Speaker 2: asking me this question. He said, now I remember, but
- 5:20Speaker 2: I guess I had just repressed it. He said, now,
- 5:24Speaker 2: I remember that when I was a boy growing up,
- 5:27Speaker 2: maybe about age ten, he said, in my own private
- 5:30Speaker 2: time and space outside, I'd go outside, I'd lay on
- 5:34Speaker 2: the ground, I'd watch the clouds move in the sky.
- 5:38Speaker 2: And basically, he said, I began to remember in a
- 5:42Speaker 2: fair amount of detail. I began to remember my past lives.
- 5:46Speaker 2: And he said, somehow I knew they were my lives.
- 5:50Speaker 2: I believed what was coming to me in my sort
- 5:53Speaker 2: of intuitive memory. And he said, but then I just
- 5:59Speaker 2: took it all away because nobody in my world ever
- 6:03Speaker 2: talked about that, and basically this was sort of like
- 6:07Speaker 2: thirty some odd years later. He said, only now do
- 6:10Speaker 2: I remember that that happened. So that was, you know, Victor,
- 6:15Speaker 2: that was validation for me. You know. My husband said,
- 6:19Speaker 2: if you want to learn more about this or do something,
- 6:21Speaker 2: you know, do some research or whatever you choose to do.
- 6:25Speaker 2: He said, you know, go for it. I support you.
- 6:29Speaker 2: So that was the beginning in April of nineteen ninety three.
- 6:34Speaker 1: And you also had the loss of a boy, a
- 6:37Speaker 1: childish son.
- 6:38Speaker 2: That's correct, that's correct. That happened, oh twenty years prior.
- 6:44Speaker 2: That happened back in the early seventies. In the in
- 6:48Speaker 2: the early seventies, my husband and I our oldest child
- 6:52Speaker 2: was two and a half. I was pregnant with our
- 6:56Speaker 2: second baby. That was a challenging pregnancy for about four months,
- 7:02Speaker 2: from about week ten to week twenty six, where off
- 7:08Speaker 2: and on I would threaten, threaten to miscarry. I would
- 7:12Speaker 2: have bleeding one day and none the next, or you know,
- 7:15Speaker 2: bleeding and then two days would go by and none
- 7:19Speaker 2: the next day. It was I'm sort of a Neanderthal here.
- 7:24Speaker 2: It was pre ultrasound days. So you know, my obstetricians
- 7:30Speaker 2: had no idea what was wrong. Long story short, I
- 7:34Speaker 2: delivered that baby at twenty six weeks of an average
- 7:38Speaker 2: forty week pregnancy. He was born alive and lived a
- 7:42Speaker 2: short time and passed. What I discovered back then in
- 7:50Speaker 2: the seventies, I discovered grief. I fell into a classic
- 7:56Speaker 2: grief process and ended up for the first time in
- 8:00Speaker 2: my life, seeking psychotherapy because of how I was feeling.
- 8:06Speaker 2: And I learned about grieving. I learned about what's normal,
- 8:11Speaker 2: what we experience, what is not you know, what is
- 8:14Speaker 2: not abnormal, and that actually led me to go back
- 8:18Speaker 2: to graduate school. That's actually what led me to become
- 8:22Speaker 2: a psychologist. I wanted to help other people, particularly parents
- 8:28Speaker 2: who'd had a child pass. I still do work in
- 8:32Speaker 2: that arena and and do some wonderful volunteer work with
- 8:38Speaker 2: an awesome organization called Helping Parents Heal devoted to families
- 8:45Speaker 2: who've had a child past. But I learned about grief,
- 8:50Speaker 2: and then I wanted to go on to become a
- 8:52Speaker 2: psychologist and and work more not just with people grieving,
- 8:57Speaker 2: with people in general. Then fast forward many years later,
- 9:03Speaker 2: after the spring of ninety three, then I began to
- 9:08Speaker 2: understand my own soul's journey, my own past lives, and
- 9:15Speaker 2: that it's experiencing the passing of a child was something
- 9:21Speaker 2: that my soul had agreed to because I needed to.
- 9:26Speaker 2: It had to do with past lives, it had to
- 9:28Speaker 2: do with balancing karma, and so many years, twenty plus
- 9:35Speaker 2: years after that event in the seventies, I discovered there
- 9:41Speaker 2: was something I had to learn by having to walk
- 9:45Speaker 2: through that journey of grief.
- 9:47Speaker 1: I don't know if I shared this with you or
- 9:50Speaker 1: last time, but in my first marriage, I was blessed
- 9:54Speaker 1: with a wonderful daughter, and then the birth of a
- 9:58Speaker 1: son prematurely came out, very premature, and he survived for
- 10:03Speaker 1: two weeks and then he passed. In my second marriage,
- 10:07Speaker 1: my wife had a son and she showed me a
- 10:12Speaker 1: picture of him as an infant, and when I saw
- 10:14Speaker 1: the face, my eye started to water because I recognized
- 10:18Speaker 1: the exact same face of the son that I had
- 10:21Speaker 1: lost in my first marriage. He had come back to me.
- 10:24Speaker 1: And without going into a lot of detail, the lessons
- 10:27Speaker 1: that we've learned together that son and myself are just
- 10:31Speaker 1: amazing and perhaps even made me more empathetic and more
- 10:35Speaker 1: compassionate than I was before. I was introduced to him.
- 10:38Speaker 1: So I'm grateful for that opportunity.
- 10:41Speaker 2: The decisions we make at the soul level, both for
- 10:46Speaker 2: our own soul's progress and at times to be supportive,
- 10:51Speaker 2: and you might say a teacher to some extent for
- 10:56Speaker 2: others are striking. That's a beautiful, full story.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Thank you. Before we discuss your brand new book, Soul Design,
- 11:06Speaker 1: let's discuss your prior books, starting with two thousand Ninds
- 11:10Speaker 1: Bringing your Soul to Light, healing through past lives, and
- 11:13Speaker 1: the time between what inspired this book and what did
- 11:17Speaker 1: you share with your readers.
- 11:20Speaker 2: Well? As I began to guide regression, both past life
- 11:25Speaker 2: and soul level regression called between life's soul regression, guiding
- 11:30Speaker 2: clients and helping clients discover what their guides and higher
- 11:37Speaker 2: selves wanted them to discover. I felt compelled to with
- 11:42Speaker 2: my first book, I felt compelled to put down in writing,
- 11:47Speaker 2: you know, get down on paper content to help people
- 11:53Speaker 2: understand we are a soul living one life to the next.
- 11:58Speaker 2: We come in to learn and grow and evolve. And
- 12:01Speaker 2: I felt like when I wrote that first book that
- 12:06Speaker 2: I wanted to begin using client material, as is the
- 12:11Speaker 2: case with all my books, using client regression material to
- 12:16Speaker 2: help people understand why things happen, how we plan our lives,
- 12:22Speaker 2: who are our guides? And so that was my first
- 12:25Speaker 2: foray into content tied to the soul, knowing that a
- 12:30Speaker 2: lot of people would perhaps never have a regression, but
- 12:35Speaker 2: people can pick up a book or you know, read
- 12:37Speaker 2: it on kindle and begin to understand there's purpose to
- 12:43Speaker 2: what we experience in life.
- 12:46Speaker 1: How may past life regression promote healing in this lifetime?
- 12:53Speaker 2: Well, when I guide a past life soul regression for
- 12:58Speaker 2: a client, but I always say to the client is
- 13:02Speaker 2: that I have little or no power over what past
- 13:06Speaker 2: life comes forward in the regression. The past life is
- 13:11Speaker 2: chosen by the client's higher self and guides, and the
- 13:17Speaker 2: past life serves to illuminate a variety of possibilities. The
- 13:23Speaker 2: past life might bring forward what we you know easily
- 13:30Speaker 2: sort of an everyday word, what we call karma, meaning
- 13:34Speaker 2: what free will choices did I make in past lives
- 13:39Speaker 2: that I'm working to balance today? What free will choices
- 13:43Speaker 2: that weren't the most healthy choices? We all do this
- 13:48Speaker 2: at times. Do I need to know about so that
- 13:51Speaker 2: I can continue altering my behavior in current life? Or
- 13:57Speaker 2: what we call karma past life also show us what
- 14:02Speaker 2: I like to call dharma, Dharma meaning what are the
- 14:07Speaker 2: intentions of What are the intentions in a in a
- 14:12Speaker 2: lifetime that serve as evolutionary steps for our own soul?
- 14:19Speaker 2: You know what happened in a past life? What skill,
- 14:22Speaker 2: what capability? What challenge did we work our way through?
- 14:29Speaker 2: Uh So what have we accomplished? Not just what free
- 14:33Speaker 2: will choices did we make that were the most useful?
- 14:38Speaker 2: So clients learn all kinds of things like why have
- 14:42Speaker 2: I always feared drownding in some kind of ship or
- 14:49Speaker 2: boat when I have no reason to worry about that?
- 14:53Speaker 2: Why have I always feared all this life will end?
- 14:58Speaker 2: My current life will end. Let's just say at age
- 15:02Speaker 2: fifty seven, and you get to be fifty seven and
- 15:06Speaker 2: nothing happens. What's that worry about? Why am I fascinated
- 15:13Speaker 2: with an era of history, a part of the globe,
- 15:19Speaker 2: or even understanding or a fascination with something outside of earth?
- 15:25Speaker 2: And so past life regression reveals who we've been before,
- 15:30Speaker 2: what our choices were, and how those are reflected in
- 15:34Speaker 2: our current life.
- 15:35Speaker 1: When you joined me in twenty nineteen, we discussed your
- 15:39Speaker 1: groundbreaking book, Souls on Earth exploring interplanetary past lives. What
- 15:46Speaker 1: is an interplanetary soul?
- 15:48Speaker 2: Okay, awesome and important question, Victor, Well, so what happened
- 15:54Speaker 2: for me? I trained in past life regression began guiding that,
- 15:58Speaker 2: then I trained in between live soul regression began guiding that,
- 16:04Speaker 2: and oh, I don't know, maybe six to eight years
- 16:09Speaker 2: into my regression practice, I've now been guiding regression for
- 16:15Speaker 2: oh in the range of thirty years. But somewhere six
- 16:18Speaker 2: to ten years into my regression practice, I started having
- 16:24Speaker 2: clients who learn during the regression that their soul, that
- 16:32Speaker 2: their soul was not created to primarily incarnate and evolve
- 16:38Speaker 2: lifetime to lifetime on Earth. They are the term that
- 16:43Speaker 2: was given to me in regression years ago. They are
- 16:46Speaker 2: an interplanetary soul. People can exchange that term with star
- 16:53Speaker 2: seed et it all means the same. So an interplanetary
- 16:58Speaker 2: soul is is a soul that was created to evolve
- 17:05Speaker 2: primarily outside of Earth's energy somewhere in the broader celestial realm.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Usually my clients come from within what we humans call
- 17:19Speaker 2: the Solar System. When an interplanetary or what I call
- 17:24Speaker 2: an eyep soul, When an interplanetary soul agrees to come
- 17:29Speaker 2: to earth. They come for more than one reason, but
- 17:33Speaker 2: they come to Earth for a basic reason, and that
- 17:37Speaker 2: is that they have evolved somewhere in the celestial realm
- 17:43Speaker 2: in a healthy culture, and they bring a wisdom, a perspective,
- 17:52Speaker 2: a broad based understanding of what is healthy behavior versus
- 17:58Speaker 2: unhealthy behavior, essentially to aid humanity.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Without a regression session, how might someone sense that they
- 18:07Speaker 1: are an interplanetary soul.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Yeah, that's that's a great question. So there's a lot
- 18:14Speaker 2: of different ways. But one of the sort of uncanny
- 18:20Speaker 2: things I've heard far more than one time. So when
- 18:23Speaker 2: I guide a regression, I'll just say to the listeners,
- 18:27Speaker 2: I never know where the regression is going. It will
- 18:29Speaker 2: go where it needs to go. I'm the I often say,
- 18:33Speaker 2: I'm a little bit like the bus driver that keeps
- 18:36Speaker 2: the bus on the road. But the itinerary of the bus,
- 18:39Speaker 2: or the itinerary of the regression is determined by the
- 18:43Speaker 2: client's spiritual guides and higher self. So if someone suspects
- 18:50Speaker 2: they're an interplanetary soul, here's some possible ways of determining that.
- 18:59Speaker 2: First of all, I've heard many times from IP souls
- 19:03Speaker 2: that as young children, their favorite thing to do was
- 19:08Speaker 2: to stand by the window at home looking out at
- 19:13Speaker 2: the night sky and being fascinated and wishing they were
- 19:19Speaker 2: out there, you know, as they gazed at the night sky.
- 19:23Speaker 2: That's just kind of a kind of a learning that
- 19:30Speaker 2: has come forward that seems uncanny but interesting. But interplanetary
- 19:36Speaker 2: souls tend to be people who are extremely wise in
- 19:41Speaker 2: certain ways. They might be very skilled with technology. They
- 19:46Speaker 2: might be sort of the best elementary school teacher, or
- 19:52Speaker 2: the best mom or the best dad. They might their
- 19:55Speaker 2: skill might be a caring, nurturing, compassion energy. It all
- 20:01Speaker 2: depends on where they come from in the universe and
- 20:04Speaker 2: where they were essentially schooled, so to speak, in the universe.
- 20:11Speaker 2: IP souls always have gifts and usually they have challenges.
- 20:17Speaker 2: So some of the examples of challenges that are common
- 20:21Speaker 2: for ips, and this is primarily explained by the fact
- 20:26Speaker 2: that IP souls have not had many, many, many lives
- 20:30Speaker 2: in the human body. So they might have allergies, they
- 20:35Speaker 2: might have digestive issues. Sometimes they're diagnosed on the autistic spectrum.
- 20:45Speaker 2: They tend to be people who have issues or struggle
- 20:50Speaker 2: in one way or another functioning in the human body. Actually,
- 20:58Speaker 2: what's coming to my mind. I'll share this, Victor. Just
- 21:01Speaker 2: the other day I was teaching I teach regression. I
- 21:05Speaker 2: was teaching regression and there was a person there is
- 21:09Speaker 2: a person in the class, and she was having trouble
- 21:13Speaker 2: understanding what happens when we go on daylight savings time
- 21:18Speaker 2: and parts of the world that go on daylight daylight
- 21:22Speaker 2: savings at different times, and she just kind of said,
- 21:26Speaker 2: I just don't get all these time zones. I can't
- 21:29Speaker 2: keep all this straight. Often interplanetary souls have a hard
- 21:34Speaker 2: time with sort of these human ins and outs of
- 21:38Speaker 2: the reality of our life on this planet. Yet they're
- 21:44Speaker 2: very skilled, and they're often very spiritual.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Absolutely, and I identify with a lot of what you
- 21:51Speaker 1: just shared a feeling. But I'm an ip But well
- 21:54Speaker 1: that's for another time. Congratulations on your brand new book
- 21:59Speaker 1: sold These A Regressionist Guide to Past Lives, Origins and Purpose.
- 22:04Speaker 1: I understand this is on pre order now from Amazon.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Yes, yes, it'll be in hand in about two months.
- 22:12Speaker 2: But yes it's on pre order on Amazon and on
- 22:15Speaker 2: my website as well.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Listeners should get their orders in now as I am
- 22:20Speaker 1: certain this will be a summer bestseller. So congratulations, thank you.
- 22:26Speaker 1: What inspired soul design.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Well, probably a couple of things, and I know we're
- 22:34Speaker 2: going to head in some of these directions with our conversation.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Following my work with repetitive interplanetary soul clients, then I
- 22:47Speaker 2: began to work spontaneously people showing up in my practice.
- 22:53Speaker 2: I began to discover there is a third type of
- 22:56Speaker 2: soul that at times choose is to come to Earth.
- 23:01Speaker 2: So there are earth based souls, and that's the soul
- 23:05Speaker 2: that primarily evolves lifetime to lifetime, sort of on and
- 23:10Speaker 2: on and on, kind of ad nauseum. You might say,
- 23:13Speaker 2: that's a soul that was designed to incarnate primarily in
- 23:18Speaker 2: an earth body than they're ips. We've talked about that.
- 23:22Speaker 2: I began to understand and work with clients who are
- 23:26Speaker 2: souls from the angelic realm. They are souls that come
- 23:30Speaker 2: from that group of souls that supports whatever people want
- 23:36Speaker 2: to call the Divine God, great Spirit, Source, whatever term
- 23:41Speaker 2: fits for people. There is a group of souls that
- 23:46Speaker 2: make up the angelic realm that serves Source. So I
- 23:52Speaker 2: wanted to get more of the client material about angelic
- 23:57Speaker 2: souls down on paper, and that led me to start
- 24:00Speaker 2: writing the newest book soul design. And as I as
- 24:07Speaker 2: I wrote, as I started working on writing Soul Design,
- 24:12Speaker 2: I basically my guides downloaded some perspectives, some you might
- 24:22Speaker 2: say constructs. And so in that new book, I talk
- 24:27Speaker 2: about two sort of I use two new terms that
- 24:33Speaker 2: came to me as I was writing. One is called
- 24:36Speaker 2: soul essence psychology. What soul essence psychology means is that
- 24:43Speaker 2: we need to look at who we are, not just
- 24:46Speaker 2: from current life, but from current life and from the
- 24:51Speaker 2: vantage point of past lives and who we are as
- 24:54Speaker 2: a soul. So that that is soul essence psychology. And
- 25:00Speaker 2: then the other term that is used in the book,
- 25:03Speaker 2: which is the title of the book, is soul design.
- 25:07Speaker 2: So soul design means who who am I? In various
- 25:14Speaker 2: aspects of my soul? Which in the three types of souls?
- 25:19Speaker 2: Am I? What's happened in my past life?
- 25:23Speaker 3: Uh?
- 25:24Speaker 2: What is what are the purposes of my current life?
- 25:29Speaker 2: And we also talk about soul or I talk about
- 25:32Speaker 2: soul archetype, which is based on the the basic concept
- 25:40Speaker 2: that goes that ties to theosophy called the seven rays.
- 25:45Speaker 1: And we're going to get more deeply into those topics.
- 25:48Speaker 1: And when we come back my guest is Linda Backman.
- 25:50Speaker 1: Her book Soul Design, a regressionist guide to past lives,
- 25:55Speaker 1: origins and purpose. Linda, please share with our listeners where

- 27:05Speaker 1: Back On Destination Unlimited. My guest this week Linda Backman,
- 27:09Speaker 1: her brand new book, Sole Design, a Regressionist guide to
- 27:13Speaker 1: Past Lives, origins and Purpose. Linda, you had touched upon
- 27:18Speaker 1: this in the first segment. Tell us more about soul
- 27:22Speaker 1: essence psychology and how this embraces sole design.
- 27:28Speaker 2: Well, so, Victor. Of course, for me, being formally trained
- 27:33Speaker 2: and licensed as a psychologist, I learned what we might
- 27:39Speaker 2: refer to as abnormal psychology, which is in large part
- 27:44Speaker 2: the foundation of a formal university graduate school program. And so,
- 27:49Speaker 2: you know, initially in my back in my conventional days,
- 27:54Speaker 2: if you will, I worked with clients with the typical
- 28:00Speaker 2: kinds of things of you know, tell me about your childhood,
- 28:04Speaker 2: Tell me about your mother, your father, your grandparents. You know,
- 28:08Speaker 2: was there religion in your household? Where did you grow up?
- 28:12Speaker 2: You know, blah blah blah, blah blah. And of course
- 28:17Speaker 2: that's valid. Of course, our current life has an impact
- 28:21Speaker 2: on who we are. But sole escent psychology means, let's
- 28:27Speaker 2: take it farther, you know, let's expand it to who
- 28:33Speaker 2: are you as a soul? Why are you here now?
- 28:36Speaker 2: Where do you come from? What's happened in past lives?
- 28:40Speaker 2: Et cetera, et cetera, To look at the whole the
- 28:44Speaker 2: much bigger picture of why we are who we.
- 28:48Speaker 1: Are, and you also touched upon this. You sear that
- 28:52Speaker 1: we are uniquely combined of three ingredients. Again, what are
- 28:56Speaker 1: those ingredients and how do they shape our lives?
- 29:01Speaker 2: Well? And you know, when I'm writing, as you would imagine,
- 29:06Speaker 2: in working to make things understandable, clear and accessible. So
- 29:15Speaker 2: when I think about three ingredients trying to make it,
- 29:18Speaker 2: you know, a clear concept. One is our past lives.
- 29:24Speaker 2: What happened? Who were we? What did we experience? You know,
- 29:30Speaker 2: sometimes people say the question comes up, well, how far
- 29:34Speaker 2: back do our past lives go? Well, I know from
- 29:39Speaker 2: having guided regression for about thirty years that our past
- 29:45Speaker 2: lives go back into early civilization, but our past lives
- 29:50Speaker 2: go to earlier we might say, prehistoric times. And so
- 29:56Speaker 2: I have clients even experience and seeing life in cave
- 30:04Speaker 2: dwelling life, life just sort of living hand to mouth.
- 30:09Speaker 2: So past lives have an incredible impact and show up
- 30:14Speaker 2: in our current life. Then the other aspect of who
- 30:20Speaker 2: we are is what we've talked about to some extent.
- 30:24Speaker 2: Are we Earth based? Have we had most of our
- 30:26Speaker 2: lives on Earth? And how does that sort of show
- 30:30Speaker 2: up in who we are today? Are we not a
- 30:34Speaker 2: soul that has had many, many lives on Earth. And
- 30:39Speaker 2: then we have to begin to examine are we interplanetary
- 30:44Speaker 2: or are we angelic? And I'll just say to the
- 30:48Speaker 2: listeners what I have discovered in regression thus far, and
- 30:53Speaker 2: I'm always learning new things, but what I've discovered thus
- 30:56Speaker 2: far is we can't be part and parcel of two
- 31:02Speaker 2: of those three categories. We are one of those three categories.
- 31:06Speaker 2: And then lastly, what are the intentions of our current life?
- 31:12Speaker 2: For what reasons? And it's reasons as opposed to a
- 31:16Speaker 2: reason for what purposes did we come into body? And
- 31:24Speaker 2: I'll add that because this might be of interest and
- 31:27Speaker 2: help people as we evolve as a soul, and that
- 31:33Speaker 2: is the purpose of soul is for the soul, for
- 31:38Speaker 2: our soul to grow and evolve lifetime to lifetime. We
- 31:43Speaker 2: are not created as a highly evolved soul. We are
- 31:49Speaker 2: created as a soul just like a kindergartener or a
- 31:53Speaker 2: first grader has to go to school. So where are
- 31:57Speaker 2: we in our soul's evolution? And did we come into
- 32:00Speaker 2: body primarily to access and accomplish a fair amount of
- 32:08Speaker 2: learning or did we come into body this time to
- 32:13Speaker 2: be as much a teacher as a learner, And if
- 32:16Speaker 2: we're sort of equally a teacher versus a learner, then
- 32:21Speaker 2: that's just a clue that we've moved to a certain extent.
- 32:27Speaker 2: We're not a young, young, young soul. We are more
- 32:31Speaker 2: evolved versus less evolved.
- 32:34Speaker 1: You had talked about purpose, and my wonderful spiritual teacher
- 32:39Speaker 1: back at the New Seminary used to say, there should
- 32:41Speaker 1: be an eleventh commandment, thou shalt have purpose? Are there
- 32:46Speaker 1: specific purposes that the soul is meant to fulfill lifetime
- 32:50Speaker 1: after lifetime? And how may we know if we're embodying
- 32:54Speaker 1: those purposes?
- 32:58Speaker 2: Well, some of the answer to that question. Then that
- 33:02Speaker 2: begins to relate to an additional concept that I write
- 33:07Speaker 2: about in the book. Our soul nature is a particular archetype.
- 33:16Speaker 2: So as a soul, we have a nature, an orientation
- 33:26Speaker 2: that is our soul nature that is unchangeable, that is immortal,
- 33:32Speaker 2: and there are seven possible There are seven archetypes. And
- 33:38Speaker 2: these seven archetypes make up the totality of the evolution
- 33:47Speaker 2: of what our soul is to accomplish, and make up
- 33:51Speaker 2: the evolution of what was originally intended for humanity to accomplish.
- 33:58Speaker 2: Each of the seven archetypes is equally important, and each
- 34:05Speaker 2: archetypal nature is related to the whole package of seven.
- 34:12Speaker 2: So when we have an immortal archetype or an immortal
- 34:18Speaker 2: orientation to our purpose lifetime to lifetime to lifetime, that
- 34:24Speaker 2: becomes unchanging.
- 34:28Speaker 1: And are those archetypes similar to the archetypes that were
- 34:30Speaker 1: found in ancient Greek and Roman literature.
- 34:35Speaker 2: No, those archetypes are related to what theosophy calls the
- 34:40Speaker 2: seven rays. Those archetypes were channeled years ago by some
- 34:48Speaker 2: of the well known Theosophus s. Blovatski Alice Bailey, and
- 34:55Speaker 2: those those archetypes came from the highhigher realm, and so
- 35:02Speaker 2: they relate to theosophy.
- 35:05Speaker 1: You share that soul power is revealed in our higher
- 35:09Speaker 1: self and human self.
- 35:11Speaker 2: Please explain, well, a lot of people, a lot of
- 35:19Speaker 2: people don't think about where, you know, from where does
- 35:24Speaker 2: their power emanate? And of course we're talking about being empowered,
- 35:31Speaker 2: not power over, but empowerment. Uh So, when we are incarnate,
- 35:40Speaker 2: we never bring one hundred percent of our soul energy
- 35:43Speaker 2: into our body. When we are born as an infant,
- 35:48Speaker 2: we bring a slice, a fractal, a holographic portion of
- 35:54Speaker 2: our soul energy that causes us to live and breathe
- 35:58Speaker 2: at birth. The remainder of our soul that we don't
- 36:02Speaker 2: bring into body is our higher self. I've been told
- 36:07Speaker 2: many many times in regressions with clients, it would be
- 36:11Speaker 2: impossible to bring one hundred percent of our soul energy
- 36:15Speaker 2: into our human body because it would blow the circuits
- 36:19Speaker 2: its energy. So it would blow the circuits of the
- 36:22Speaker 2: human body. And we need our higher self. Our higher
- 36:27Speaker 2: self is our you might say divine self. Some people
- 36:31Speaker 2: call it over soul. That is one of our guiding forces.
- 36:37Speaker 2: So our higher self is you might say, the power
- 36:43Speaker 2: or the full degree of evolution that we have gained
- 36:50Speaker 2: as a soul. We can always reach, We can always
- 36:56Speaker 2: energetically reach out to our higher self to ask questions,
- 37:01Speaker 2: to help receive input and download when we're making decisions.
- 37:08Speaker 2: So we're always soul and body, soul in spirit. Yes,
- 37:14Speaker 2: soul and body, soul and spirit at all times. And
- 37:17Speaker 2: that is our level of power.
- 37:20Speaker 1: And when you say higher self, is that what some
- 37:22Speaker 1: people refer to as the five D self?
- 37:26Speaker 2: Yes, yes, because our higher self resides somewhere at fifth
- 37:33Speaker 2: dimension or higher So yes, it would be our five
- 37:37Speaker 2: d self.
- 37:39Speaker 1: You had talked about the angelic realm souls. Let's talk
- 37:42Speaker 1: a little bit more about that. Why do they choose
- 37:44Speaker 1: to incarnate here?
- 37:48Speaker 2: Well, Angelic Realm souls are essentially the ambassadors of Source
- 37:56Speaker 2: and the intentions of Source. If we put words to it,
- 38:03Speaker 2: our love and compassion, and I always want to say,
- 38:07Speaker 2: you know, we're not just boiling this down to if
- 38:12Speaker 2: Earth just had enough you know, love and light, Earth
- 38:19Speaker 2: would be in a better place. We obviously as humans,
- 38:22Speaker 2: have to take action and operate from the highest perspective
- 38:29Speaker 2: of behavior to aid humanity. But the cadre of souls,
- 38:34Speaker 2: the group of souls that belong to the Angelic Realm,
- 38:39Speaker 2: their core energy, their orientation is love and compassion. So
- 38:47Speaker 2: if an angelic soul agrees to come to earth, and
- 38:52Speaker 2: again it's if I'm using that word for two reasons. One,
- 38:57Speaker 2: we're never forced to incarnate. It is always a choice.
- 39:02Speaker 2: We may be strongly encouraged, but we're not made to incarnate.
- 39:08Speaker 2: And when we come to earth, if we're an angelic soul,
- 39:13Speaker 2: we come to Earth to basically aid equality, respect for
- 39:19Speaker 2: all people, respect for all life. And so if people
- 39:23Speaker 2: just would think about the words love and compassion, and
- 39:27Speaker 2: you know, expand that almost into something that isn't words,
- 39:31Speaker 2: but you know what is appropriate healthy behavior.
- 39:37Speaker 1: Do so called fallen angels or demonic beings ever incarnate.
- 39:45Speaker 2: Well, To the best of my understanding, fallen angels is
- 39:51Speaker 2: not something I've ever heard in regression. I think there
- 39:56Speaker 2: are times when we have concepts that that you know,
- 40:02Speaker 2: come through the history of humans and civilization. I'm not
- 40:09Speaker 2: at all sure there is such a thing as fallen angels.
- 40:13Speaker 2: And you know, I've been regressing clients, usually multiple times
- 40:17Speaker 2: a week for years and years. So there is there
- 40:26Speaker 2: is energy that exists at a lower level than fifth
- 40:31Speaker 2: dimension that is not necessarily what we might call energy
- 40:39Speaker 2: of the light. There is dark energy that tries to
- 40:43Speaker 2: pull humanity off track, but that what we might call
- 40:49Speaker 2: dark energy, or energy that is not of the light.
- 40:54Speaker 2: My understanding is it does not exist at fifth dimension.
- 41:00Speaker 1: And Hire I shared this with you when we were
- 41:03Speaker 1: offline a few months back. I had an extremely vivid dream.
- 41:10Speaker 1: And in that vivid dream, I was attending an angel
- 41:14Speaker 1: academy and we were in this temple and there were
- 41:18Speaker 1: eighteen tables in a U shape inside the temple. We
- 41:22Speaker 1: were instructed to stop at each table, make eye contact
- 41:26Speaker 1: with the angel seated at that table, and when they
- 41:28Speaker 1: nodded their head, move on to the next and make
- 41:30Speaker 1: the entire circuit of the eighteen tables. Eighteen in Hebrew asciampt,
- 41:35Speaker 1: which is life. And when we were finished, we were
- 41:38Speaker 1: instructed to go to the center table, the main table,
- 41:42Speaker 1: and there we would be given our angelic name and
- 41:46Speaker 1: our assignment. And the name that I was given was Aviel,
- 41:50Speaker 1: which in Hebrew means God is my father. And the
- 41:53Speaker 1: assignment I was given was to be an angel to
- 41:56Speaker 1: other angels, something that I so resonate with in terms
- 42:00Speaker 1: of helping others who help others, And I'm grateful to
- 42:03Speaker 1: have had that dream.
- 42:06Speaker 2: Well, you know, as I listen to you share that
- 42:08Speaker 2: a second time, Victor, my hunch, and you know, you
- 42:15Speaker 2: and I can chat about this offline at some point.
- 42:19Speaker 2: My hunch is that you're an angelic soul and not
- 42:22Speaker 2: an interplanetary soul. That sounds very angelic. I find that
- 42:29Speaker 2: when I work with angelic souls obviously as clients. Most
- 42:35Speaker 2: of the people that I work with that are angelic souls,
- 42:39Speaker 2: they are some of the most caring, non judgmental. You know,
- 42:51Speaker 2: the words are never sufficient. Loving kinds of people. They
- 42:57Speaker 2: almost don't have a hurtful bone in their body. It's
- 43:02Speaker 2: just not their nature. And so again, as I listen
- 43:07Speaker 2: and I've regressed a lot of angelic souls, I think
- 43:12Speaker 2: it's likely you might be angelic. I'll add to that
- 43:17Speaker 2: that at times, so I learn by regressing clients. I
- 43:21Speaker 2: learn with every single client I know. I know that
- 43:27Speaker 2: the angelic realm is coordinated by the archangels, the lead
- 43:34Speaker 2: archangel being Archangel Michael. I also know that some underscore,
- 43:41Speaker 2: some of the archangels incarnate on Earth, and I have
- 43:48Speaker 2: worked with a small number of clients who I am sure,
- 43:54Speaker 2: based on the content that came forward in their regression,
- 43:58Speaker 2: that they are in fact the incarnation of an archangel.
- 44:03Speaker 2: So beautiful, beautiful dream, amazing dream, which obviously not really
- 44:09Speaker 2: a dream.
- 44:10Speaker 1: I'll just add that funny story. When I got involved
- 44:13Speaker 1: in reiki back in the late nineteen eighties early nineteen nineties,
- 44:17Speaker 1: on the first class, the teacher had instructed us to
- 44:21Speaker 1: do a meditation and to go inside and see what
- 44:24Speaker 1: we saw when we went inside, and I had no
- 44:27Speaker 1: angel consciousness at that point, and I saw an angel,
- 44:32Speaker 1: and the teacher asked us, what did you see? And
- 44:34Speaker 1: we went around the room and I said, I saw
- 44:36Speaker 1: an angel. He said, close your eyes and ask the
- 44:39Speaker 1: angel its name. Without even doing that, I heard in
- 44:42Speaker 1: my head Gabriel. That night, I went home and my
- 44:46Speaker 1: daughter was interested in this reiki and she said, Daddy,
- 44:50Speaker 1: would you show me what it's about? And I did,
- 44:52Speaker 1: and as I was putting my hands behind her head,
- 44:55Speaker 1: she said, Daddy, I see our relatives who have passed.
- 44:59Speaker 1: And she started naming her grandfather and other people in
- 45:01Speaker 1: the family who had passed, and she said, dot Ei,
- 45:03Speaker 1: there's an angel flying over them. And I said, what's
- 45:05Speaker 1: the angel's name? And she said Gabriel. So confirmation of
- 45:09Speaker 1: the story the interesting experience. Life is so interesting when
- 45:13Speaker 1: you really enjoy it. My guest Linda Backman her book
- 45:17Speaker 1: Sole Design, a Regressionist guide to past lives, origins and purpose.

- 45:56Speaker 1: Back on Destination Unlimited. My guest this week Linda Backman
- 46:01Speaker 1: her new book Soul Design, A regressionist guy to past lives,
- 46:06Speaker 1: origins and purpose. Linda, does free will come into play
- 46:12Speaker 1: with Soul Design or do we have a choice?
- 46:15Speaker 2: That's an awesome question, And what I think is so
- 46:18Speaker 2: important for all of us to know is that on
- 46:22Speaker 2: Earth we have free will. So it doesn't matter what
- 46:26Speaker 2: our contract was, It doesn't matter what we might say.
- 46:31Speaker 2: Pre birth blueprint is what the intentions were that we
- 46:35Speaker 2: put into place before we come into body. When we
- 46:39Speaker 2: get here, we have free will. I mean, obviously we
- 46:42Speaker 2: can't change whether we're tall or short, or light skinned
- 46:46Speaker 2: or dark skinned and those types of things, but we
- 46:50Speaker 2: have free wills in the human body, so we can
- 46:54Speaker 2: go against anything we planned.
- 46:58Speaker 1: Who are our guides and how may we connect with them?
- 47:02Speaker 2: Well, I'll start by saying we are never without at
- 47:06Speaker 2: least a guide. We are never not guided, if you will,
- 47:11Speaker 2: so what I've learned again through years and years of guiding.
- 47:16Speaker 2: Regression is that if someone is an Earth based soul,
- 47:23Speaker 2: an earth based soul always has a lead guide, a
- 47:27Speaker 2: primary guide that is not their own soul, that is
- 47:31Speaker 2: not their own higher self, And an earth based soul
- 47:34Speaker 2: might have a team of guides, but nonetheless we always
- 47:39Speaker 2: have a guide if someone is an interplanetary or what
- 47:45Speaker 2: I call an angelic realm soul. About in my experience,
- 47:50Speaker 2: about seventy to eighty percent of all the ips and
- 47:53Speaker 2: angelic souls that I've guided as clients, their primary guide
- 47:58Speaker 2: is their own higher self, is their own soul. Because
- 48:04Speaker 2: ips and angelic souls, if they agree to come to Earth,
- 48:09Speaker 2: are always rather advanced. They're not in terms of evolution,
- 48:13Speaker 2: they're not tens on a scale of ten, but they're
- 48:16Speaker 2: probably eights on a scale of ten. So we always
- 48:21Speaker 2: have a guide. We may have more than one guide,
- 48:24Speaker 2: but our guide may be our higher self. Intuition is
- 48:30Speaker 2: the means of communicating, and intuition is a skill we
- 48:34Speaker 2: all have. You know, sometimes people say, oh, I'm just
- 48:38Speaker 2: I'm not intuitive. We can always intuit guidance from our
- 48:45Speaker 2: own guide because that's our guide, and we can always
- 48:49Speaker 2: connect with our higher self, because that's our soul. The
- 48:52Speaker 2: bottom line is learning to trust intuition. So I'll just
- 48:57Speaker 2: say briefly, and I teach people to to to access
- 49:02Speaker 2: their intuition and trust it. But briefly, intuition tends to
- 49:06Speaker 2: work in about four ways. Some of us are very visual.
- 49:11Speaker 2: We're imagery based, so intuition comes through what we might
- 49:18Speaker 2: call images in our mind's eye. Some of us are
- 49:22Speaker 2: not imagery based, and people need to not think that
- 49:26Speaker 2: they're they're they're that they're not intuitive. If imagery isn't
- 49:29Speaker 2: their strongest skill. Some of us, emotion or what you
- 49:34Speaker 2: call Cleare sentience is is is our strongest intuitive skill,
- 49:40Speaker 2: meaning we receive input through emotion. It might be that
- 49:46Speaker 2: one of one of your guides is trying to get
- 49:48Speaker 2: your attention and the guide comes up with a signal
- 49:53Speaker 2: like you feel slightly anxious, you feel slightly said, you
- 49:59Speaker 2: feel slightly joyful, and it's sort of like it just
- 50:02Speaker 2: kind of happens. So clare sentience, we can also tap
- 50:06Speaker 2: into other people's emotions and then we have to learn
- 50:10Speaker 2: how to not take on others emotions. But so that's
- 50:13Speaker 2: clare sentience. Then some people are very clear, somadic meaning
- 50:19Speaker 2: soma means body. So some people it's their physical body
- 50:25Speaker 2: that is their signal. It might be a popping of
- 50:28Speaker 2: your ear drum, it might be a slight twinge in
- 50:32Speaker 2: you know, the right lower hip or left temple. Our
- 50:36Speaker 2: body sometimes give us signals that there's something we should
- 50:40Speaker 2: pay attention to. And then lastly, and this is really true,
- 50:44Speaker 2: this is me. If you tend to be fairly left
- 50:47Speaker 2: brained and pretty cognitive, then intuitive guidance can come in
- 50:54Speaker 2: as almost feeling like you're being spoken to, feeling like
- 50:59Speaker 2: you hear were do you hear sentences that they just
- 51:02Speaker 2: get dropped into your brain? So that's how we can
- 51:06Speaker 2: connect with guides.
- 51:08Speaker 1: At the end of each chapter, you offer homework to
- 51:11Speaker 1: determine our soul type and origin, as well as other exercises.
- 51:14Speaker 1: What else do you share with the end of each chapter?
- 51:17Speaker 2: You know, as I was writing this book, it was like,
- 51:22Speaker 2: how can I put this information that comes from clients?
- 51:27Speaker 2: How can I then get the reader to consider various
- 51:34Speaker 2: aspects of who am I as a soul? Why did
- 51:37Speaker 2: I come into body? Who are my guides?
- 51:40Speaker 3: You know?
- 51:40Speaker 2: What type of soul am I? So throughout each chapter,
- 51:48Speaker 2: usually two to three times in each chapter is a
- 51:50Speaker 2: little section that says, ask yourself, and so it's like, well,
- 51:56Speaker 2: ask yourself these questions and let yourself respond, and you know,
- 52:01Speaker 2: you could put that into a journal and then the questions.
- 52:05Speaker 2: The homework at the end of the chapters is not
- 52:08Speaker 2: just about helping people figure out are they Earth based,
- 52:12Speaker 2: interplanetary or angelic realm. It's to understand why is my
- 52:18Speaker 2: life the way it is? Why was I meant to
- 52:22Speaker 2: meet this person and then have to let go of
- 52:24Speaker 2: this person? So there are all kinds of questions related
- 52:29Speaker 2: to current life and soul.
- 52:32Speaker 1: What lessons do we take away from loss and grief?
- 52:37Speaker 2: Mmm, that's a great question too. Well, it's it's interesting,
- 52:43Speaker 2: and this is this is a theme. So uh, I
- 52:47Speaker 2: think it was actually yesterday I was guiding a lovely
- 52:50Speaker 2: male client, a man who's had really a lot of
- 52:56Speaker 2: complications in his life. You know, born in a foreign country,
- 53:01Speaker 2: one parent from one country, another parent from another country,
- 53:05Speaker 2: mom leaves when he's ten, you know, blah blah blah.
- 53:08Speaker 2: A very kind of complex journey. His guides in the
- 53:16Speaker 2: beginning of the regression, in the first step is past life.
- 53:20Speaker 2: The client's guides took him to a past life, probably
- 53:25Speaker 2: long ago, perhaps a thousand or more years ago, where
- 53:32Speaker 2: the client was a man. The client had a wife
- 53:36Speaker 2: and a child, and the wife and the child died
- 53:40Speaker 2: from some kind of structure collapsing on them. It truly
- 53:45Speaker 2: was not the fault of my client, the man he
- 53:49Speaker 2: was in the past life, but he blamed himself and
- 53:54Speaker 2: fell into a deep, deep grief process and never came
- 54:00Speaker 2: out of that. He died as a street person, sort
- 54:05Speaker 2: of living hand to mouth. The message, and this is
- 54:09Speaker 2: a theme I've seen many times in past lives, where
- 54:14Speaker 2: we're all going to experience loss of one type or another, loss,
- 54:20Speaker 2: you know, once or more than once in a lifetime.
- 54:25Speaker 2: We're to delve into the feelings of loss. We're to
- 54:28Speaker 2: honor ourselves and own our feelings of loss and grieve.
- 54:33Speaker 2: But the higher realm does not wish for us to
- 54:36Speaker 2: cave in to loss for the remainder of our life.
- 54:40Speaker 2: They wish for us to understand how to work with
- 54:44Speaker 2: that loss and then move forward. And that is obviously
- 54:49Speaker 2: what didn't happen for this particular client in the past life.
- 54:53Speaker 2: So loss and grief is difficult, is challenging, and is painful.
- 54:58Speaker 2: But I like to call the sandpaper of the soul
- 55:03Speaker 2: if we feel it, but we figure out ways to
- 55:07Speaker 2: not let it go necessarily. Sometimes grief never fully, we
- 55:11Speaker 2: don't forget. But how do we move forward and revamp
- 55:15Speaker 2: our life and step back into purposeful life?
