- 0:01SPEAKER_01: I will tell you officially this week, there is not one registered 70 in the forecast.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah, we've shifted.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: Fall is here.
- 0:11SPEAKER_01: It's uh yeah, the leaves are starting to hit at my house.
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I don't want to blow leaves, yeah.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: I know it.
- 0:17SPEAKER_01: But yeah, so you'll get 61 today, 59 tomorrow.
- 0:19SPEAKER_01: Now, near 70, Wednesday through like Saturday.
- 0:22SPEAKER_01: It's all sun, by the way.
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: We're we're done with the rain for a little while.
- 0:25SPEAKER_01: But I'm just no, if it hits 70, it's like the five degree guarantee where it's like, oh, it tickled over.
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: And shockingly, we don't have any broadcast this weekend.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: Thank God.
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: See, and I can just chill at home.
- 0:37SPEAKER_01: So almost had a huge parenting fail yesterday.
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: And I will tell you, and parents will understand this.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: Uh, when when you make the mistake, and it was an honest mistake, it wasn't like anything that would have caused actual harm, but it was about to be a massive parenting fail.
- 0:54SPEAKER_01: So, as you know, there's a certain age where kids get very excited about going to a friend's birthday party.
- 0:58SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: And uh Lydia's smack in the middle of that age.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: Gavin, too, but he doesn't take days leading into it.
- 1:06SPEAKER_01: Like it's like more like, hey Gavin, today's Lucas' birthday.
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: Oh, cool, okay.
- 1:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:09SPEAKER_01: Whereas Lydia's, it's the daily countdown.
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: And uh it was her little girlfriend's birthday party yesterday.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: Last week I feel like you're at a birthday party every weekend.
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: Well, that's because last week I made the comment to you because you had the dog grooming appointment during the Bills game.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: By the way, did Zach do what I told him to do yesterday?
- 1:28unknown: Oh.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: I'll come back to that.
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: Um, because I I set up, I set him up.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: I wanted to get, I was playing a little prank on you yesterday.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: You didn't even know it was coming.
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: But I'll come back to that.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: So, at any rate, I even said last week on the show, I said, yeah, and Lydia, they have a birthday party scheduled smack in the middle of the Bills game at like two o'clock.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: And all of a sudden, things are getting ready on Sunday morning.
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: We're like, oh, we got plenty of time, Lydia.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: We'll get you, you know, we'll get this face paint off you and we'll get you all put together.
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: We got plenty of time.
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: It doesn't start till two.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: So I'm moving around and we're getting the presents, uh, you know, and she goes, Well, where's the presents?
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: I said, Well, they're downstairs on the table.
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: And Tiffany put them together.
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: I said, You can go see them.
- 2:08SPEAKER_01: And then I walk down, I go, Hey, where's the invitation?
- 2:11SPEAKER_01: I don't know where I'm going.
- 2:11SPEAKER_01: And she goes, Oh, it's right here.
- 2:13SPEAKER_01: And you missed the party.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: I go, What?
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: Whoa.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: The party was 11 to 1, not 2 o'clock.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: Oh no.
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: It was 1220.
- 2:22SPEAKER_01: It would hold on.
- 2:23SPEAKER_01: It was 1220.
- 2:25SPEAKER_01: So I quickly grab Lydia.
- 2:27SPEAKER_01: I go, go brush your teeth at light speed.
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: We're going right now.
- 2:30SPEAKER_01: The party was only five minutes from the house.
- 2:32SPEAKER_01: So we're like, it was it was great.
- 2:34SPEAKER_01: Somebody's house?
- 2:35SPEAKER_01: No, it was at uh oh my god, what's the name of the place?
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: It's on Water Street.
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: It's our friend that used to run Elmyra downtown.
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: It's her place.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: Um, um Kylene Kaya.
- 2:44SPEAKER_01: Kylene's place.
- 2:45SPEAKER_01: Gorgeous in there, by the way.
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: I'll tell you more about that later in the week because there's stuff that you can do with Zach, and there's stuff the kids can do, and the parents get to escape.
- 2:53SPEAKER_01: It's called is it pop and paint?
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: Yep, that's it.
- 2:55SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: So at any rate, I we flew out the door.
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: Thank God the buffer was Tiffany's present giving.
- 3:02SPEAKER_01: You can attest to the fact you've seen the baskets.
- 3:05SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 3:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: Huge wicker basket.
- 3:07SPEAKER_01: Now, this girl loves Benson Boone.
- 3:09SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 3:09SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, all right.
- 3:11SPEAKER_01: She found a uh a CD of Benson Boone.
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: She found a boom box.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: A C D?
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: I swear.
- 3:16SPEAKER_01: Wait, is this 1998?
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: A boom box to play it on.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, a little one, so it wasn't, you know.
- 3:22SPEAKER_01: And a bunch of other stuff.
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: So here we are.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: We pull up.
- 3:26SPEAKER_01: I did something illegal yesterday, Allie.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: Wait, I did I did something illegal?
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: You did something illegal?
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: I parked in a handicap spot for five minutes on Water Street.
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: Arrest me! We're running down Water Street.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: You know the tissue paper that sits on top of this basket?
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: It's flying in my face.
- 3:43SPEAKER_01: I'm yelling at Lydia.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: I'm like, go, go, go, go! I'm yelling, stop, turn around, pull the paper off my face.
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: I can't see where I'm running.
- 3:51SPEAKER_01: I'm holding this basket, which is two feet big, right?
- 3:54SPEAKER_01: It's like you were in the wine glass.
- 3:55SPEAKER_01: Oh my God.
- 3:55SPEAKER_01: I look, yeah.
- 3:56SPEAKER_01: If you saw a crazed bald man running with a wicker basket down tissue paper, think nothing.
- 4:01SPEAKER_01: It's Elmira.
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: Think nothing of it, right?
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: Right, right, right, right.
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: So here we are, we're running.
- 4:04SPEAKER_01: We get in there, and uh it ended up working out.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: She ended up getting about 40 minutes in, you know, with the party.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: And uh it was I swear to God, the gift got all the uh it got all the uh looks off me because I was like, Well, first of all, isn't there an etiquette?
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: If you're gonna be more than 30 minutes late for a couple hour birthday party, normally you're like, well, we're not gonna make that.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: Right, exactly.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: But I'm like, no, I have to get her there for that.
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: This is all her friends from school and all that.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: And you said she was counting, down for it.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 4:33SPEAKER_01: So we run in and uh thank God Tiffany's gift giving saved it because it was it was salvaged, but it was almost an ultimate parenting fail.
- 4:41SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, I felt so bad.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: So what can I do in there?
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: You said there's things that I can do.
- 4:46SPEAKER_01: They have date nights.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: Oh, we paint together?
- 4:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you can paint each other.
- 4:50SPEAKER_01: Oh for real.
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: No, no, not bodies.
- 4:53SPEAKER_01: Not no bad.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: I was like, wait, are we getting naked?
- 4:55SPEAKER_01: No, no, no, no.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: What's happening?
- 4:57SPEAKER_01: Am I painting with my nipples?
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: No, no, no, no, no.
- 5:00SPEAKER_01: Speaking of getting arrested, like my nipples.
- 5:03SPEAKER_01: No, you get you can paint pictures of each other.
- 5:06SPEAKER_01: I was talking to Kylina.
- 5:07SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 5:08SPEAKER_01: And every other Friday, they do a kid dropping craft paint thing.
- 5:13SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 5:13SPEAKER_01: That's not the official name at all.
- 5:15SPEAKER_01: But listen to this.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: For$25 a kid, they get to do this painting for two hours, six to eight on a Friday night, every other Friday.
- 5:22SPEAKER_01: Dude, there's your babysitter.
- 5:24SPEAKER_01: There's your babysitter, even if you get a dinner, or if you just have to run some errands or something, and you're like, like, say it's a crazy weekend, and you're like, I won't have time to go to the grocery store this weekend.
- 5:33SPEAKER_01: There you go.
- 5:34SPEAKER_01: That's genius.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: Now, what's the minimum age for that?
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: Do you know?
- 5:37SPEAKER_01: Oh, I don't.
- 5:37SPEAKER_01: I'd have to double check.
- 5:38SPEAKER_01: Well, I don't think they want to change diapers.
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: Right, right, right.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: I was thinking, like, it's probably got to be a like how old's Lydia again?
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: I forgot.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: Seven.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: Seven.
- 5:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: I would think that her age would be around the minimum age.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: Oh, something like that.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: Either way.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's awesome.
- 5:52SPEAKER_01: She's got that place looking great, by the way.
- 5:55SPEAKER_01: It was just all set up and there were crafts going out.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: What a kid dump.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: That's like oh, that's a great kid dump, yes.
