Transcript
- 0:00I don't want people to be motivated or inspired by my business success.
- 0:04I want them to try to look in the mirror and be accountable.
- 0:08When you take full ownership, that's usually when the healing journey starts.
- 0:12He was a celebrity agent to the biggest names in the world,
- 0:15but behind the spotlight, he was fighting a battle no one could see.
- 0:18Darren Prince built a career representing icons,
- 0:21navigating the highest levels of sports and entertainment.
- 0:24But while he was managing legends,
- 0:26addiction was managing him.
- 0:27Most of the successful people that I know are living it from an external space.
- 0:32The toys and the flags really define, well,
- 0:35is finding your purpose and your passion from within.
- 0:38I believe I was a prime candidate to fall victim to drug addiction.
- 0:42I just had a huge head start and accessed because I was making real money.
- 0:46His journey from opioid dependency to long-term recovery became the turning point
- 0:51that transformed his life and his mission.
- 0:53Today, he's a best-selling author and international speaker
- 0:55and an advocate proving that success means nothing without freedom.
- 0:59When you're in an addictive state of anything,
- 1:01the biggest struggle is the lack of power.
- 1:03You can truly go through the dark and come out on the light.
- 1:07The strength is in being vulnerable.
- 1:09Not hiding it.
- 1:10When you're able to just come out and have that freedom of saying
- 1:13everything and not hiding it, the miracles start to happen.
- 1:23So, I am the best version of my fucked up self I've ever been.
- 1:31Darren, what does that mean?
- 1:33Well, now being 17 and a half years sober and doing so much awareness work,
- 1:40personal development work, character defect removal,
- 1:45couples still pop up once in a while and there's nobody out there that doesn't have
- 1:50shit, there's nobody out there that doesn't have unresolved trauma.
- 1:55Some suppress it, some bring it to a surface and to live this authentic, transparent frequency.
- 2:01I don't want people to be motivated or inspired by my business success.
- 2:08I want them to try to look in the mirror and be accountable for not looking at your mother,
- 2:13your father, it's their fault, it's the ex-husband, the ex-wife.
- 2:17You made those choices for whatever reason.
- 2:20And when you take full ownership of it, that's usually when the healing journey starts.
- 2:26And David Goggins is a good friend and client.
- 2:29I'm in town for his event tomorrow.
- 2:31And he always says that everybody's fucked up, you know.
- 2:37For somebody to say they're not, you're suppressing a lot of stuff.
- 2:41And most of the successful people that I know,
- 2:45that don't want them at that, are living it from an external space.
- 2:50And they're doing it with the toys and the flax.
- 2:53And sort of we just talked about how you and I really define wealth is finding your purpose
- 3:00and your passion from within and sharing that with the world just like you're doing.
- 3:05So like I said, I'm so grateful and appreciative.
- 3:08Definitely on here because what you've built and the messages that get sent around the universe
- 3:14to help people is tremendous, not just professionally, but personally.
- 3:18I appreciate that a lot.
- 3:20And I think we're very much on the same wavelength when it comes to like what defining success
- 3:24and wealth and whatever, whatever you want to achieve in your life.
- 3:28I think that when people are very young and I think you're an extreme example,
- 3:32people look at sort of the wrong, they get the wrong role models.
- 3:36They look at, okay, how do I make as much money as I possibly can make
- 3:40in the quickest amount of time possible?
- 3:41How do I achieve sort of like the material success?
- 3:44And I think it's even worse now because of Instagram and social media
- 3:48than probably it even was when you were young.
- 3:51But your story is very interesting because you achieve that material success at an incredibly young age,
- 3:56like much younger than most people ever, ever achieve it.
- 4:00Tell me how you achieve that success, but also tell me what it did to you.
- 4:05I grew up in Livingston, New Jersey, and you know, you would have thought from the outside
- 4:10of the, you know, super happy young kid, loving family, you know, I had one sister.
- 4:16And I just never fit him and I always felt socially awkward.
- 4:20It was always like I felt like I had a imposter syndrome for a very young age.
- 4:24And a lot of it when I look back at it was because I was in very small classrooms.
- 4:29A lot of times my friends were in the big classrooms 50, 60 kids and I was put in
- 4:33rooms like this with for your father, people known as the special ed crew.
- 4:38And I heard about it.
- 4:41I heard crickets.
- 4:42I heard teas and I was verbally teased and you never spoke up about it,
- 4:46but I just knew school wasn't for me.
- 4:49And my first experience with drugs were at Sleepboy Campos, about 14
- 4:55and I terrible stomach pains one night and the cancer typically to the nurse.
- 4:59I didn't rise looking back on it.
- 5:00It was separation anxiety.
- 5:02I grew up a mom as boy.
- 5:04Didn't like being away from my mom and dad and she gave me this green liquid.
- 5:08I took it, it tasted terrible, but walking across the softball field back to the bunk,
- 5:13my life changed forever, man.
- 5:15I mean, I felt like Superman.
- 5:16I didn't know what it was, but I was just as popular, just as cool, just as smart,
- 5:21talking with the guys, flirting with the girls at the bunk's next door.
- 5:24And I did this for a few straight weeks, not realizing
- 5:27until my mom and dad came for visitation day.
- 5:29That it was liquid demoral.
- 5:31You know, back then it wasn't a controlled age with substance.
- 5:34And I started that next year when I got back home.
- 5:40I had four different odd jobs.
- 5:41I squeezed orange juice to the supermarket.
- 5:43I worked at a pizza where I was a stock boy at a sneaker store.
- 5:48And I was a bus boy, had a diner.
- 5:52So I would say, well, that money and buy all my friends' baseball car collections.
- 5:55And my father noticed that I could read the back of a baseball car in the 1980s.
- 5:59And literally almost had a photographic memory with numbers.
- 6:02And we would sit in front of the TV.
- 6:04I'd start talking about statistics.
- 6:06And he was mesmerized by it.
- 6:08And one day, an intro to business class teacher,
- 6:10I'm still close with this to this day, Elliot Lovie,
- 6:14challenged the class to go home and create a business.
- 6:17Now, in my mind, I had thousands dollars for the baseball carts.
- 6:19I just never had a plan to execute how to sell them.
- 6:22But I knew from certain trade papers that I was getting,
- 6:25there were these things called baseball cart conventions.
- 6:28So I'd go downstairs to my dad.
- 6:30I'm like, hey, I need insurance for my baseball carts.
- 6:32It looks to me like I'm crazy.
- 6:34I wish it was alive today because he would love the way I tell the story.
- 6:38And insurance, he's like, how much do you have?
- 6:41I'm like, Dad, I probably got about eight or nine.
- 6:43And he's like, all right, I'll call homeowners and try to get like a thousand dollars
- 6:47worth of insurance in case there's ever a flood or got a bit of fire.
- 6:51I'm like, no, Dad, eight or nine thousand.
- 6:54And he looks at me like, I've got three heads.
- 6:56How the hell do you have eight or nine thousand with the carts?
- 6:59I'd go back upstairs and get the price.
- 7:01I got a start showing them.
- 7:02Well, who's going to buy them?
- 7:03I pull out this big newspaper at this big.
- 7:06It was at the holiday and back then, 1984,
- 7:10on Highway Route 10 for anybody from New Jersey listening and living stand.
- 7:14And it was $20 to buy a table.
- 7:16So I executed.
- 7:19I mean, I wasn't a student in school.
- 7:21But when he came to this, my dad started realizing my brain worked with numbers
- 7:26and being a sponge with him from his got into business.
- 7:30He said it was mesmerizing.
- 7:32So now that came with the confidence.
- 7:33So like, I'm like, Dad, support.
- 7:35And every day after school, whatever I had to do,
- 7:38he owned a type setting and design company.
- 7:40I would call them and have them make beautiful signs.
- 7:42I bought display cases.
- 7:44I made sure this was going to be the most beautiful six foot display you've ever seen.
- 7:48And became a big family affair in that Sunday.
- 7:51I actually set up ironically with my best friend,
- 7:55one of my best friends, Steve Simon, who runs my agency.
- 7:58Now we go back since I was 10 years old.
- 8:00And he's one of my top agents at Prince Mark and a group.
- 8:04He went in for the hobby.
- 8:05He spent like two hours the day of throwing some carts in a shoebox.
- 8:09And when I spent two weeks.
- 8:11So when people are listening and talk about preparation
- 8:15to doing a business, nothing just happens like that.
- 8:18Of course not.
- 8:18And two weeks when you're talking several hours at night
- 8:23to prayer prayer for this, I was ready.
- 8:26You know, I knew the market.
- 8:27I knew the business.
- 8:28I had my display laid out.
- 8:30You know, I remember there was no social media back then.
- 8:32Computers were limited.
- 8:35And I went in like, this was my new career.
- 8:38And I made over a thousand dollars at afternoon.
- 8:40And Steve made like 30 bucks.
- 8:42And that was, how old are you again when you're doing?
- 8:44I was 14.
- 8:45So just to paint into picture, 14.
- 8:47You're not, you figure out how to make money.
- 8:50But also you figured out the effects of drugs on confidence
- 8:54and identity, really.
- 8:58This is very young to be dabbing in this shirt.
- 9:01Yeah, that's very, very, okay.
- 9:03So you made that was kind of a perfect storm,
- 9:06but not at the same time that I went home that night.
- 9:10And the one feeling I remember I wrote about this in my book
- 9:12aiming high that I, you know, I published in 2018
- 9:15was I remember getting home and it was so euphoric.
- 9:17I felt so important on this show floor.
- 9:20Like the energy was flowing.
- 9:21People were running over to me.
- 9:23Like I was this hot shot, well respected young kid
- 9:26that knew about the rookies, the minor leakers,
- 9:29the top prospects.
- 9:30And I started making friends with people
- 9:33and I actually felt like, you know, this was school.
- 9:35Like, and I was the head of the class.
- 9:37I was the valvictorian.
- 9:39I was the wine.
- 9:40And all my friends who've sold me their collections
- 9:43again were making fun of it.
- 9:45We do want those stupid cards.
- 9:46Like, cards are corny, bro.
- 9:48Like we got out of baseball cards years ago.
- 9:50Anita's his type years later when they all
- 9:53came back from college break.
- 9:55I started hiring one of them.
- 9:57One at a time.
- 9:57A bunch of one at a time to work for me
- 10:00because they couldn't believe what I built.
- 10:02So that night though, when I was 14, Scott,
- 10:06like I went from like this year for work
- 10:08feeling to all of a sudden, this empty feeling.
- 10:11So there was some unbelievable attachment
- 10:14to the external validation of that $1,000 that I made
- 10:19of the high interest.
- 10:19Of course, it's a high when you make fun.
- 10:21And I couldn't figure out why this happened.
- 10:24It was Sunday night getting ready for bed to go to school.
- 10:28And it went from like this to this.
- 10:31So, you know, looking back at it that time my life,
- 10:34I believe I was a prime candidate to fall victim
- 10:37to drug addiction.
- 10:39I just had a huge head start and access to get whatever I needed
- 10:43because I was making real money.
- 10:44By the time I was 15 years old,
- 10:46I was making a couple hundred thousand dollars a year
- 10:48selling baseball cards.
- 10:49I was literally the first person that stayed in New Jersey
- 10:52to buy a cell phone.
- 10:53It was called Bell Atlantic.
- 10:55And the phone was $3,000 back then.
- 10:57It had huge aluminum battery pack with the rubber antenna.
- 11:01And the phone clipped on top of this aluminum battery.
- 11:06And it had this leather case.
- 11:08And I had it in my locker.
- 11:09So, I'd be running ads in a magazine that still
- 11:12around to the state called Sports Collectors Digest.
- 11:15And I would have stockbrokers calling.
- 11:18And you couldn't text back then on cell phones,
- 11:20but it did have a voicemail attached to it.
- 11:22So, in between class, I would run to my locker,
- 11:26listen to the messages, eat real quick.
- 11:29And be making notes, writing down notes
- 11:32from these stockbrokers that were called
- 11:34because somebody might have wanted a Mickey Manel
- 11:36rookie that weekend.
- 11:38So, whatever it might have been.
- 11:40Joe DiMaggio, Babe Ruth,
- 11:42could be a modern day.
- 11:44The popular guy's back then,
- 11:45strawberry maddening with weight box tonic
- 11:48when they want to five of this, five of that.
- 11:49So, I just became a broker to all these guys.
- 11:5314, 15, 16, you make a couple hundred thousand.
- 11:55I've always thought about this.
- 11:56Actually, you just mentioned something that
- 11:58I think is actually very true.
- 11:59The same personality that is required
- 12:02to be successful in business,
- 12:03like the obsession over what you're doing
- 12:06and all the preparation and the reason
- 12:07why you made a thousand bucks and know what else did,
- 12:11that personality is a dangerous personality.
- 12:13You got it because you get addicted to anything.
- 12:15So, that same personality that makes you successful,
- 12:17that could be drugs, any kind of gambling,
- 12:22women, whatever your vices.
- 12:23I had all of it.
- 12:25But if you know how to channel it,
- 12:28it can be very useful that personality.
- 12:30But you experience all this stuff way too young.
- 12:32Way too young.
- 12:32And there's no handbook.
- 12:34There's no parent.
- 12:36Charlie Schoen's a dear friend and client too.
- 12:39And he's got New York Times best selling book out.
- 12:42It's been on their flick eight weeks
- 12:44and incredible things happen
- 12:46and screw up this Netflix documentary and other things.
- 12:48And we really identify with this
- 12:51because he's like, even though his dad
- 12:53and his brother were already there,
- 12:54he goes, too, there's just there's no way to like,
- 12:58understand it.
- 12:59You know, I was out here six months ago
- 13:01with my boy Ryan Federman and Mike Tyson.
- 13:03We had a van at the hard rock.
- 13:05Mike and I got a real talk about this.
- 13:07And he's like, Prince, I get him, man.
- 13:0919 years old.
- 13:10I'm the baddest motherfucker on the planet,
- 13:12knocking people out.
- 13:13I got a couple hundred million to the bank.
- 13:15Who gave me a cotton handbook?
- 13:17I had a deal with it.
- 13:18So it's so easy for people to like,
- 13:21look at me or them or whatever.
- 13:23What it, no, that they're, it's, it happens.
- 13:27And there's a reason it's going to happen again.
- 13:29And these influencers now, when you see someone
- 13:32I'm taking their own lives at young ages,
- 13:35because when we think it's about the money,
- 13:38when we think it's about the stuff and the things
- 13:41and the mansions and the jets and the jewelry
- 13:43and the life and the woman are to shopping,
- 13:46whatever that might be, and you get there.
- 13:49And guess what?
- 13:50You realize you're still unfulfilled?
- 13:52It is the most dangerous, scariest,
- 13:56loneliest place the human being can ever be.
- 14:00Because I've been there.
- 14:01And then you have the resources to fuck up your own life.
- 14:05Yep.
- 14:05That's the biggest issue.
- 14:06You're like, what's going to make me feel
- 14:08that same feeling when you got the self-sabotage,
- 14:12the destructive behavior and getting out of sense of self,
- 14:16because at a competent age, I'm not just saying
- 14:20this is for young people.
- 14:21I mean, somebody could be grinding after 10, 15, 20 years.
- 14:24We have a lot of friends that made it big
- 14:25in their 30s, 40s.
- 14:27But again, if you're not doing that work,
- 14:29if you're not doing that inner work,
- 14:30and sense itself, the brokenness,
- 14:32the character defects,
- 14:33the unresolved trauma and you're just suppressing it.
- 14:36And it's just that one goal to build scale and exit.
- 14:41I do not want to be, I don't care what amount of people for you.
- 14:45What was that point when you kept chasing after
- 14:48that you're making $100,000 before you're even 20,
- 14:52which is insane for somebody who's 16, 17 years old?
- 14:56What's the point when it all blows up?
- 14:58I'll give you a little bit in between that,
- 15:01so we can lead to where it blew up if that's okay.
- 15:04For sure, go ahead.
- 15:05So at 19, I sold the baseball car company for a million dollars.
- 15:09It was by inventory, it was my database.
- 15:12And back then, I didn't need to stay on.
- 15:15It was just, I had an invasion where I started getting enamored
- 15:20with autograph signings.
- 15:21I'd be at convention.
- 15:22I'd be like, wow, people are wrapped around the corner
- 15:24to see Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle, and Pete Rose.
- 15:28And I saw one time like,
- 15:30Muhammad Ali was coming to one.
- 15:32I was like, this is so much cooler than baseball cards.
- 15:34Wow.
- 15:35So I wanted to start learning that distance.
- 15:37And we did that for about four years.
- 15:39Now, the reason, just the first time I really hit business
- 15:42adversity, the reason I got out of that was,
- 15:46and I'm very open about it, there was a forgery scandal
- 15:50going on with Michael Jordan litographs.
- 15:52And there was an FBI forensic document expert
- 15:55that the industry was praising as a guru for authentication.
- 15:59And big, big investigation by the FBI.
- 16:04I got investigated, got cleared of mail fraud charges
- 16:08because I truly believe the stuff was real.
- 16:11But there was this whole sort of assembly line
- 16:15of different artists forging his name
- 16:17and the FBI, retired FBI forensic agent went to prison.
- 16:21And so my father, some of the greatest lessons,
- 16:24he could talk about me were three things.
- 16:26It's not what you say, it's what you do.
- 16:29Your reputations, the hardest thing to uphold,
- 16:32and the easiest thing to lose.
- 16:34And that one, that one was really what mattered to me
- 16:40at that time or anything.
- 16:42And he would always say the idea was 1%
- 16:44carrying off through the other 99.
- 16:46So I took whatever I had and I started sending
- 16:48a refund letters, I had to get lawyers involved.
- 16:51I mean, Scott, for the first time of my life here,
- 16:52I'm now 24 and I'm like financially ruined.
- 16:56And so even then you're just worried about going to jail
- 17:01at this point.
- 17:01Yeah, now I'm at the point where I'm already going to go to jail.
- 17:04And I had incredible relationships
- 17:06from booking different autographs on it
- 17:08because a lot of people wanted to know
- 17:09how did I get all these clients.
- 17:10That's why I wanted to give you the background.
- 17:13And I took my last $3,000 and took my father
- 17:17on a fly fishing trip to Alaska.
- 17:19It wasn't happy about it because he knew I was in the balls
- 17:21and my ass, but I knew fishing was our favorite thing to do.
- 17:24And Prince Markham Group would not exist.
- 17:26Did I, if that trip didn't happen,
- 17:27route on this gorgeous stream.
- 17:29And he says to me, what's your next move, fellow?
- 17:31When you, when this all works out,
- 17:33like you're going to go back into that industry,
- 17:35good daddy, you know what, I'm so pissed off.
- 17:37All my people, that were friends and fans,
- 17:40like their haters and people are like,
- 17:43turning their back on me.
- 17:44I'm like, I don't care about that.
- 17:46I want to be an agent,
- 17:47but I don't have eight years to go to law school.
- 17:49He drops the fishing pole on this gorgeous stream
- 17:52and we have this guide with us and it's like law school.
- 17:55He gets down, he gets life is about who you know,
- 17:58now what, you know, think about your resources.
- 18:00Think about who supported you with this case,
- 18:03with the judge and send letters from, you know,
- 18:06magic and the allies and smoke and Joe Frazier and Joe Montana.
- 18:10And he's like, you know, he's giving one name after
- 18:13the Chevy chain like everybody.
- 18:15He goes, what I would do is the next time you see magic,
- 18:19tell him your vision.
- 18:21He goes because he's like family at this point.
- 18:24Even though you guys only go back about three, four years.
- 18:26So I was in a hotel sweet with magic a few weeks later.
- 18:30And it's kind of almost like I would have thought he might have
- 18:32spoke to my dad because they did speak and he's like,
- 18:34what do you think you're going to do next?
- 18:36And at that point, I was cleared.
- 18:37I was charged with like making a false statement
- 18:40because I sort of didn't give everything factual during the interview.
- 18:44So I'd like three years probation,
- 18:45but for the most part, the case against me,
- 18:48you know, firmly to go to prison.
- 18:50They knew I wasn't in the wrong.
- 18:52I just made a stupid mistake, trust him.
- 18:54Just one person.
- 18:56Quick question.
- 18:56What's your go to when you got 10 minutes before a meeting or a workout?
- 19:01For me, it just used to be whatever I could grab,
- 19:02which usually meant skipping meals entirely
- 19:05or just grabbing something that left me crashing an hour later
- 19:08because it was just full of garbage.

- 21:43Keep in mind, you're like 24 at this point.
- 21:46So everything you're dealing with
- 21:48is something that most 24's world never have to deal with.
- 21:50You don't have to,
- 21:51not that you should never lie to the FBI.
- 21:54But just putting yourself in the shoes
- 21:56of a 24-year-old that made way too much money really quick,
- 22:00you had way more business success
- 22:01and most people even achieved in their life
- 22:03forget at 19 when you sold.
- 22:05Now you're being investigated by the FBI.
- 22:07Like, life is coming at you so fucking quick
- 22:10that it is really hard.
- 22:11For us to make it grow up really quick.
- 22:12To understand how to navigate this.
- 22:14Because I'm assuming I don't know what your dad
- 22:16or your parents did.
- 22:18But I don't think that they would have been able
- 22:19to give you the exact perfect playbook
- 22:21to navigate everything you went through.
- 22:23No one's, no one's.
- 22:24I like to have his indirect milk coupon advertising.
- 22:26But the one great bit of advice on a fishing trip
- 22:30was telemates, not what you know,
- 22:32it's who you know, and to speak to magic.
- 22:34So when I was with,
- 22:36I call him Irvin by his real name.
- 22:37I was with them and he asked me that question.
- 22:40I said Irvin, I want to become an agent.
- 22:41I said, I really think I can do this.
- 22:43I'm like, I'm learning quite a bit
- 22:45about how this works from speaking engagements
- 22:48and studying commercials.
- 22:50And I bought these books
- 22:51about how to contact different ad agencies
- 22:53and you know, learning about like merchandising
- 22:56convention for endorsements.
- 22:57Because all right, because who do you think you want?
- 22:59Because you need a big client.
- 23:01And you got that big billion dollar smile.
- 23:02I'm, I'm sweating.
- 23:04I'm in my hand for like, I got to get the question
- 23:06on my heart's pal.
- 23:08At the point, I'd sum 24, 25.
- 23:10And I'm like, ask him.
- 23:11You better ask him.
- 23:12So when those moments in life, if you don't say it.
- 23:15And I'm like, I'd like it to be you.
- 23:18And he goes, all right.
- 23:19And he smiles, goes, look, you're a good dude, man.
- 23:22And you made a mistake.
- 23:24And just seeing a God has great men and woman.
- 23:27And he's testing you.
- 23:28And he goes, and I love you.
- 23:30And I love your family.
- 23:31Because here's what I'm going to do.
- 23:34Get a good entertainment lawyer or find
- 23:36him if you don't have it.
- 23:38I'm going to let you represent me for two years.
- 23:40But if you don't use been a knock down every door
- 23:43to bring in all the celebrities he can to build this agency,
- 23:47I'm going to fire you before this year or so up.
- 23:49Because life isn't about how successful I become, Darren.
- 23:52It's about how successful I can make you and everybody
- 23:55else around me.
- 23:56Because when you got there, you're going
- 23:57to learn about paying it forward.
- 23:59I couldn't believe it.
- 24:00It was just so magical.
- 24:01And he was like, because I'm going to be a success.
- 24:03The world has never seen it.
- 24:04And sports and entertainment fast forward.
- 24:07We still laugh about it 30 years ago.
- 24:09Multiple in the Empire owns how many sports themes?
- 24:1418th world championship now is player owner with the Dodgers.
- 24:18Sorry to say, another breaks your heart.
- 24:20It's OK.
- 24:20I was with them all the day, two hours after the parade.
- 24:23And it's just for somebody be such a visionary.
- 24:26But also do that to me and allow that
- 24:29where I could now bless other people.
- 24:32And so the success in the agency,
- 24:35life started real quick, man.
- 24:36I right after magic, it was Joe Frazier.
- 24:40And then Robin at the time in Pamela Anderson we had.
- 24:43And Chevy Chase.
- 24:45So I learned the business real quick.
- 24:48And the drugs really started accelerating the involvement
- 24:55in my life.
- 24:56But I learned about morality clauses.
- 24:58So I moved away from illegal drugs.
- 25:01And it became prescription painkillers.
- 25:03That was legal.
- 25:04So you're too smart for your own good?
- 25:05Yeah.
- 25:06And I had legitimate back pain side act.
- 25:09I was who was working at every doctor.
- 25:11So all my success came to me, whatever I wanted.
- 25:13And for six or seven years, it worked.
- 25:15I mean, I was a networking machine.
- 25:16I remember times, you know, I did a couple projects
- 25:19with Kobe Bryant.
- 25:20I mean, these guys just everybody just gravitated towards.
- 25:23And I was super comfortable in my skin when I was high,
- 25:25obviously, you know, around the biggest names in the world.
- 25:30And I often say when I speak, especially
- 25:33to high school kids, that what was once living to use
- 25:37turned out to using to live.
- 25:40And I don't know when that exact moment was.
- 25:43But it got to a point sort of like that metaphor
- 25:46you said before where I couldn't really get high anymore.
- 25:51Whatever I was taking or mixing or whatever a cocktail,
- 25:55it was just making me function.
- 25:59There wasn't much more.
- 26:00You're a warrior coming to the point where, you know,
- 26:03there were multiple overdoses.
- 26:05And the last one happened in 2007,
- 26:11late 2000, now mid-2007, MBI Alstrad break in Vegas.
- 26:17One of my clients was celebrating a big TV show deal
- 26:20that we did.
- 26:21And I was married at the time.
- 26:23And that same Steve Simon that runs my agency now
- 26:27to the first baseball coach, we were getting ready
- 26:29for an event, he came up to my room.
- 26:30And I took, I had vodka, Red Bull, snorted a few oxy-cons.
- 26:36I had Tussinix co-off syrup because I had bronchitis that day
- 26:42that I got diagnosed with, said,
- 26:44doctor gave me anything I needed to get from the pharmacy.
- 26:46And man, I was on the ground.
- 26:48I mean, I don't remember anything.
- 26:49Foaming up my mouth, my eyes just sweating hot flashes,
- 26:53chills, the paramedics came into the room.
- 26:56Oxygen mask on my face, needle in my arm,
- 26:58EKG machine everywhere, clearly I never made it out.
- 27:01Then I put Steve, had to see that horrific picture.
- 27:04He came to the room to see if I was ready
- 27:06and saw paramedics everywhere.
- 27:09You know of me just, what the hell's going on?
- 27:12And that next day I finally had a little bit of accountability
- 27:16where I got home back to New Jersey
- 27:20and I called a Addiction Psychiatrist.
- 27:22But I lied to him too, so it was a process.
- 27:25He told me I was an opiatic, put me on to boxing,
- 27:28and I didn't tell him I was sniffing in, but yet at night
- 27:30I was still drinking a couple days a week.
- 27:32I was on a mood stabilizer, I was taking Xanax
- 27:35every once in a while, and that just got to a point
- 27:37where I was a shell of myself making millions of dollars,
- 27:41biggest names in the world, living in this double life.
- 27:44None of it meant anything.
- 27:45And that God shot happened on July 1st of 2008.
- 27:49My uncle Stu, who's no longer with us,
- 27:53was the citizen of my mom in New Jersey.
- 27:55And he had a girlfriend up to Tom Andreia.
- 27:58They both lived down here on tray, still in Miami.
- 28:01And I never met her, Scott, but she walked into my condo
- 28:04and she's like, are you okay?
- 28:06And something came over me, a connection with this woman
- 28:09that I never have with anybody.
- 28:11And I told her, now I'm not, and she asked what was wrong.
- 28:13I told her everything.
- 28:15I told her everything that was going on with the drugs
- 28:17and the way that I was feeling.
- 28:19And she's like, do you realize your life's so manageable
- 28:22and you're an addict?
- 28:23And I said, yeah, she goes most importantly,
- 28:25she goes, I'm looking at all these photos.
- 28:26If you know all these big stars, do you realize that?
- 28:30This doesn't mean anything,
- 28:31because you don't mean anything to yourself.
- 28:33And you've been living this way for decades.
- 28:35And that broke my soul.
- 28:37And I started to cry.
- 28:38And I said, yeah, she goes, do you want the help?
- 28:41I said, I would love it.
- 28:42And she reached into her pocket.
- 28:45And she goes, you know what this is?
- 28:46And she goes, last week, I just celebrated
- 28:48five years sober.
- 28:49It's about five years sober, Quint.
- 28:52I could help you get the life on your wild streams.
- 28:56And she put me on a detox plan.
- 28:59It was the next night, it was July 2nd, 2008.
- 29:01I was back in the city with my then wife.
- 29:04And crawling out of my skin, detox pain,
- 29:08upsets stomach, nauseous.
- 29:10They were back in Miami, right?
- 29:11I called them.
- 29:12I said, I can't freaking do this.
- 29:13Forget it.
- 29:14I'm gonna call the doctor together.
- 29:15I really need to get my uncle straight to yell
- 29:17once the damn disease is talking.
- 29:19It's this immature child's BS behavior.
- 29:22You got to start dealing with your underlining,
- 29:24trauma and your issues and get yourself
- 29:26to a 12 step meeting.
- 29:28And you know, she's trying to support him in the background.
- 29:30I said, I can't do it.
- 29:31Forget it.
- 29:32I hung up the phone, ran in the bathroom,
- 29:34locked the door.
- 29:35My then wife is banging on the door,
- 29:38sterically crying.
- 29:39I think I'm gonna overdose.
- 29:40I'm going through all the medicine cabinets.
- 29:42Got looking for the non narcotic anxiety pill.
- 29:46She told me I could take to help with the cravings.
- 29:49And I came to bike it and extra shrimp,
- 29:52bike it into one of the bottles.
- 29:53And there's three opiates obviously to bike it
- 29:56in perc ascent, oxyca.
- 29:57But the crazy thing was we spent like an hour
- 30:00the night before cleaning out all the medicine cabinets
- 30:03to make sure there was no temptation in the house.
- 30:05So this in that moment, just for that split second,
- 30:08I remember thinking, wow, what a gift.
- 30:11I thought that was the God shot.
- 30:13But then I wanted to live more than I wanted to die.
- 30:16And the first time in my life, I thought of my knees,
- 30:22the bike it into this hand, then I screamed out to God,
- 30:24take the money, take the business, take the notoriety.
- 30:27If you can give me a single day of freedom
- 30:29and take me out of hell, I promise I'll take other people
- 30:33out of hell one day at a time.
- 30:35And it was a white light moment that my life
- 30:40in the bathroom and the carol I'm building changed forever
- 30:42because I had a burning sensation on this shoulder.
- 30:45And I'm deaf on my left here,
- 30:46I wear a cochlear implant once in a while,
- 30:48I don't have it in now, but I heard in my guitar,
- 30:50I heard a voice say, I've got you and you're ready.
- 30:53And I stood up, I flushed the pills,
- 30:55went into the computer, started Googling 12 step
- 30:58recovering mutings, found one in her church,
- 31:0030 minutes later in the upper 80s,
- 31:02went downstairs, flagged attacks,
- 31:04there was no Uber back then in 2008.
- 31:07And I'm in this cab on this gorgeous summer night
- 31:10in July 2nd, 2008.
- 31:13And looking up, oh my God, what the hell just happened?
- 31:17For the first time in my life,
- 31:18I wanted to stay super more than I wanted to get high.
- 31:21And I walked into this church basement,
- 31:22not knowing what to expect, there's about 150 to 200 people.
- 31:26All addicts at alcoholics,
- 31:28who are a once-of-a-hopeless state of mind
- 31:30and the leaders, citizens, anybody,
- 31:31knew anybody coming back, anyone's suffering.
- 31:34And I believe God raised my hand
- 31:36because it went up with no problem.
- 31:38I said, I'm sick, I'm suffering, I'm suicidal.
- 31:42I don't want to live anymore, I need your guys help.
- 31:44I said, I've got so much to live for,
- 31:46but I don't care about it anymore
- 31:47because my drug addiction and substance abuse issue
- 31:50has gotten so bad.
- 31:51And I felt a part of something in that hour,
- 31:56especially immediately after saying that,
- 31:58that I never before had a bunch of grown men
- 32:01that walked over to me and they hugged me.
- 32:03And they told me things like, we got you.
- 32:07We know what you're feeling.
- 32:08We've all been there.
- 32:10Stick with the winners.
- 32:12It's easy to stay here, down that it is to come back.
- 32:16I learned about the five days added to the judgment,
- 32:19accountability, action and acceptance.
- 32:22And then the words are just blew me away,
- 32:24where a couple of them came over
- 32:26and put their arms around me
- 32:27and they said, we're gonna love you
- 32:28before we ever learn how to love yourself.
- 32:30And what I thought at that moment,
- 32:35when I was not my useless, the worst day of my life,
- 32:38sooner than later, turned out to be my very best.
- 32:41When you go through, because when you started doing drugs,
- 32:45you were like 14 years old.
- 32:48What age are you now at this?
- 32:50Oh, when I got sober, I was 38, 38.
- 32:52So from 14 to 38, so basically your whole adult life,
- 32:58you had something that was masking and covering.
- 33:02After that long, for somebody that is going through this,
- 33:07because it seems like you've probably been living in this state
- 33:10for longer than most people.
- 33:12I think that most people who have been in this state
- 33:15of drugs and depression, it's sad to say,
- 33:20they probably don't make it.
- 33:21They don't make it that long.
- 33:23So from somebody who's gone through it and lived through it
- 33:27and has learned to love himself
- 33:29and learn to reshape your identity,
- 33:31which you never had for the first 38 really years of your life.
- 33:36This program is one step,
- 33:38but what are some other things that you had to do outside
- 33:41of just going to this program that really allowed you
- 33:43to be successful and not go back?
- 33:4612-step recovery meetings are great.
- 33:48You know, teachers, you've got the 12 steps.
- 33:50And if you Google the 12 steps,
- 33:52if you're not familiar with it,
- 33:53only the first step talks about alcohol or drugs.
- 33:55There are steps for living.
- 33:58Every single human can understand
- 34:00and appreciate the 12 steps.
- 34:01But for me, I wanted to be so uncommon
- 34:05in the recovery world amongst the uncommon.
- 34:09I always wanted to be different
- 34:10and I don't want to just do the program, the fellowship,
- 34:16like it's changed my life, it's saved my life.
- 34:18But one of the steps is continue to take your own
- 34:21person on the inventory when you're wrong, promptly emitted.
- 34:24Promptly emitted and that's the 10th step.
- 34:26And I'm like, but I don't want to have to keep promptly
- 34:29admitting if you're doing the same thing.
- 34:31I'm going to get to the root cause of that problem.
- 34:33I'm going to get back going to my subconscious.
- 34:35So, you know, my boy, John Avley,
- 34:37and I always say it's my trainer nutrition.
- 34:39He's a master NLP practitioner,
- 34:41done a lot of NLP and oral linguistic programming
- 34:44over the years.
- 34:45Some really deep life changing sessions.
- 34:48I've got my by lingerie that's been my meditation,
- 34:51life coach that, you know, wrecking
- 34:53all that like sound frequency and really taking me back
- 34:57into, you know, my inner child talking to myself
- 35:00and talking to moments with my mom or certain people
- 35:03to clear out that sense of forgiveness.
- 35:05And every single day I start to deep breath work, meditation.
- 35:10He actually customizes a lot for me,
- 35:12based on where I'm at in my life
- 35:13and bringing certain moments from the past
- 35:16into where I'm at now to like get even different
- 35:19layers of feeling.
- 35:21Then there's so much biohacking that I do for myself,
- 35:23you know, when I talk about this stuff,
- 35:25sometimes people are like, well, I'm not
- 35:27it's so expensive.
- 35:28Like, no, it's really not.
- 35:29Like, you can get a cheap grounding mat.
- 35:31You can take a cold shower.
- 35:33You could put your face into an ice bucket,
- 35:36like my fiancee Nutsa does every single morning
- 35:38to stimulate yourself.
- 35:39Get those brain waves going, you could go on a hike.
- 35:42You could drink more water instead of soda and crap.
- 35:48You know, you could learn to pray more.
- 35:49You can go to church.
- 35:51You can find, you can go to temple.
- 35:53You could go online and start watching on YouTube
- 35:56all the incredible people in the world
- 35:58that are giving you these gems from, you know,
- 36:00Chase Shetty, you know, it's a good friend of mine
- 36:02and Lewis Housen, Tony Robbins, and you like,
- 36:05you guys are giving them the tools.
- 36:07There is no excuse anymore.
- 36:10Like no matter how dark it gets,
- 36:11I've seen situations a million times
- 36:15where it's the mine, you know.
- 36:16I've found that the real self-esteem for me,
- 36:20slowly but surely once a day became a month,
- 36:23a month became a year was to give this gift away
- 36:25to help other people.
- 36:27So always living in a certain frequency,
- 36:31self-esteem has been built by doing a steamable axe.
- 36:35And then, you know, I've been able to,
- 36:37I told you earlier on my mom's
- 36:41when you're passing up or unveiling us today.
- 36:44Well, to go there with such gratitude
- 36:47and see her and my dad's plot, of course,
- 36:49there's emotions, but dad got me eight and a half years sober.
- 36:54Mom had me for 16 and a half years sober.
- 36:58Hulk Hogan passed away three months ago.
- 37:01Dear friend and client, dear friend
- 37:03are God-loving connection
- 37:05and what we've been through with each other
- 37:07and he's seen me from the lowest of low to the highest
- 37:11and I've seen him a beautiful blessing to have dinner
- 37:13with Nick and son who have known since it's a little kid
- 37:16in New York City two nights ago.
- 37:18I was with Magic after the parade,
- 37:20two hours after the parade.
- 37:21I mean, everything with my clients,
- 37:23the business part is so secondary now.
- 37:26And this is a successful people in the world.
- 37:29Magic got a multi-billion dollar empire,
- 37:31like, you know, times I've been around Mark Cuban
- 37:33and, you know, Genie Boss who just sold the Lakers,
- 37:36money never comes up.
- 37:39You know, so that, so when you're watching the people
- 37:42that are triggering, oh, that's the life that I want
- 37:44or find out why you want it first, identify
- 37:48is there, you know, something from that external scent?
- 37:51Cause no matter how many regular every day
- 37:55super mega wealthy people I know,
- 37:57they don't have the wealth of those names
- 37:58that I just mentioned and those people
- 38:00are never posting yachts and never posting jets
- 38:02and never posting jewelry and never posting
- 38:04they reflect why because they're whole within them.
- 38:07And it's easy to say, oh, well, they're gonna all fit.
- 38:09No, they've all had their challenges,
- 38:12but they've risen above it.
- 38:14And they get more joy at it giving.
- 38:16They get more joy out of doing all their philanthropic work.
- 38:19They get more joy as seeing other people succeed
- 38:23because they in their own way have done the work on themselves.
- 38:28So famous or not, like, I just think every single person
- 38:32has it in them.
- 38:33And I think all the tools are out there
- 38:35no matter what you're struggling with.
- 38:37My biggest blessing, as you know,
- 38:40cause I don't enough reading and watching my interviews
- 38:42is that I have my aiming high foundation.
- 38:44My five, a one C3 has been just, oh my God, man.
- 38:50The dopamine high that I get,
- 38:53but I'm maybe to get a call from a family member
- 38:57when somebody comes home from a treatment center
- 38:59where a family, you know, gets their mother back,
- 39:04their father back, whatever it might be.
- 39:07It's, it's unexplainable.
- 39:11I mean, I'll take that, you know,
- 39:15any day that we go for a multimillion dollar business deal,
- 39:19cause that's purpose, that's wealth,
- 39:22you know, that's changing lives and creating legacy
- 39:24for a mother or father, the children.
- 39:29And, you know, that just was one of the greatest things
- 39:33that I started aiming high foundation.
- 39:35Cause I, I knew when I was doing a lot of speaking
- 39:37when my book came out that there was people
- 39:40that had those white light moments,
- 39:42and all I could do was kind of be a voice,
- 39:44but I had no sort of white apps.
- 39:47I said, well, you should go to rehab,
- 39:49but I was like, I know enough people.
- 39:51I've got enough wealth in my real house that I guarantee
- 39:56if I start this, I could start getting some great contributions
- 39:59to donate 100% of the proceeds to scholarship people.
- 40:02I want to be there when the lights are turned on
- 40:05cause you always get that, you only get that small moment
- 40:08to make it impact.
- 40:09And I want to be that guy that says, good,
- 40:12you ready to go and pack a bag?
- 40:15Cause I'm in my office now in administration
- 40:17at this center over here.
- 40:19They're gonna get on the phone with you an hour
- 40:21or check and you win in a few hours.
- 40:22I'm taking care of everything.
- 40:25Every expense, I'm just wondering if you have an idea
- 40:30about, cause I know that this,
- 40:33I know that this moment in your life,
- 40:34it reshaped your relationship with money, wealth,
- 40:38success, all of it.
- 40:39This is what reshaped everything.
- 40:40It was like a wake up call, right?
- 40:45Why do you think people get so, get success in wealth,
- 40:52the things that they try and pursue?
- 40:54Why do they get it so wrong?
- 40:56Like how do we end up pursuing these things
- 40:59that really don't even serve us,
- 41:01that don't make us happy, that don't make us fulfilled?
- 41:04Because there's a different, I don't,
- 41:06I just don't understand how you can answer.
- 41:08What's the answer?
- 41:09I was with Gary Vay of a couple of weeks ago,
- 41:11at the same keynote event that I booked a bunch of clients
- 41:17and he always says it.
- 41:19Cause most people care too much about what other people think.
- 41:23And the ones that make and want to live in that frequency
- 41:30and like, oh, I'm showing you,
- 41:31there's showing you, there's so all things are possible.
- 41:33No, no, you're not.
- 41:35Cause even if you're at the few under a million,
- 41:38I know plenty of people that you're extremely poor next to,
- 41:42and they're not doing that.
- 41:44You're doing this cause you got a lot on resolve trauma,
- 41:46Mr. Mrs, so and so.
- 41:49And you want to flex from all the failure,
- 41:52from all the being made fun of the bankruptcy
- 41:56was ever might have been,
- 41:57cause you don't work on you.
- 41:59Because a person that's in a healed frequency,
- 42:01it's okay to do that.
- 42:03I'm not saying, don't post a vacation everyone
- 42:05to our proud that you just bought this new home.
- 42:09But living a vibration of what that wealth has now done,
- 42:12you know, show individuals whose lives they even packed it.
- 42:17That's the content that should be put out there.
- 42:19Not that, you know, a lot of make a wealthy people
- 42:23want recognition for the contributions
- 42:25what they're doing.
- 42:26But you know what, those are the stories
- 42:28that need to be published more.
- 42:29And especially like I said,
- 42:31someone has a lead on to realize these everyday people
- 42:33that want to be instant famous
- 42:35because they're not fulfilled with all their wealth.
- 42:38You know, don't just sit here and make it like
- 42:41you're doing all that to show people all things are possible.
- 42:45Give them a handbook, start your own charity
- 42:48where people can send in applications
- 42:52that they need real mentorship from you.
- 42:54Where how about this?
- 42:55How about a hand pick, a dozen people
- 42:58that fill applications that actually have real businesses
- 43:01that it might have are shot,
- 43:03that you invest in in finance,
- 43:05become their advisor, their partner.
- 43:07Those are the stories we need.
- 43:09That's somebody that the people that live in that frequency,
- 43:12because I've seen enough, they're healed.
- 43:15They get what real wealth is.
- 43:16We're blessed with real wealth and abundance
- 43:19so it can pay for all the other people.
- 43:21I have so much happening in my businesses right now.
- 43:25It is mind blowing.
- 43:27And it's because number one, I don't have the release
- 43:29but money that I use to.
- 43:31And Newt's will tell you,
- 43:33because you know, we're engaged,
- 43:34she's not only a client, I do nothing for me.
- 43:37I don't care.
- 43:38I need a couple of vacations a year, you know?
- 43:41If I go shopping, it's for sneakers,
- 43:42indeed it's in Nike's sweatpants and some t-shirts.
- 43:45I don't, all that stuff, I've lived it.
- 43:48I know it does make me happy.
- 43:50I love blessing other people.
- 43:52I love blessing my girls, my office in California,
- 43:55and my people back in New Jersey,
- 43:57and just putting smiles on other people's faces.
- 44:00And that just continues to deepen and strengthen
- 44:05that self-esteem, paying a forward others.
- 44:08It's so interesting how when you serve people,
- 44:11the money comes anyways.
- 44:13Dan, Flight Shimmer and I spoke a couple of days ago.
- 44:15I know you've had them and we had this conversation
- 44:17two days ago, I guess, dude, there's nothing better.
- 44:19We even go deeper talk about like our exes,
- 44:22like we had this conversation about,
- 44:24I'm like, I don't hold the grudge against anybody.
- 44:26If somebody didn't work here,
- 44:28but I don't really ship a one,
- 44:29and they've needed my help from time to time,
- 44:31they will all tell you, I'm the one they call.
- 44:35That's not a simp, that's a good human.
- 44:38That knows that if it didn't end,
- 44:41obviously catastrophically,
- 44:42I mean, the certain ways, certainly ships end that.
- 44:45I don't fully agree with it,
- 44:46depending on the situation,
- 44:47but somebody's a good person,
- 44:49and you just had a situation in time
- 44:51that whatever it might be.
- 44:53I don't ever see an issue with an ex boyfriend,
- 44:56a girlfriend helping each other,
- 44:57guiding each other, advice for each other,
- 44:59you know, how to get ahead financially.
- 45:02Like, you know, you gotta let your past make you better,
- 45:05not bitter, and I think there's a big misconception on that too.

- 46:26Now look, if you're in marketing right now
- 46:28or if you're an entrepreneur who's hired marketers
- 46:31or if your founder who leads a whole marketing team,
- 46:33you know the drill.
- 46:34You are creating content for 12 different channels.
- 46:36You're launching campaigns, you're scoring leads,
- 46:39you're analyzing all the data.
- 46:41And somewhere in there, you're actually
- 46:43supposed to do great marketing.
- 46:44And it's exhausting and you're spread to them.
- 46:46But this is what actually works for marketers
- 46:49to give you your life and your time back.
- 46:51HubSpot's marketing hub, HubSpot's content hub
- 46:54combined with their new AI called Breeze.

- 47:00that you shouldn't have to do yourself.

- 47:05It handles lead scoring.
- 47:07So you know exactly who to focus on
- 47:09which customers will probably convert.
- 47:11And it pulls all your analytics and your data
- 47:14and KPIs into one place instead of having them scattered
- 47:17across 15 different tabs and tools.
- 47:20Plus the AI agents that HubSpot builds for you
- 47:23can automate the repetitive stuff
- 47:24that's eating away your day.
- 47:25Bottom line, you get better results faster
- 47:28without burning out.
- 47:30See with HubSpot, everything's connected in one platform
- 47:32instead of duct tape together.
- 47:34So if you're tired of being spread too thin,
- 47:35check out hubspot.com slash marketers
- 47:37to see how this actually works.
- 47:39I just wish that more people would just
- 47:41when they're trying to live and be successful
- 47:44and sort of achieve their purpose,
- 47:46if they just focused on giving everything that they've learned
- 47:50to the world, like teaching the world what they've learned
- 47:52or just helping the world, giving value to the world,
- 47:54the money comes anyways.
- 47:56The money always comes anyways.
- 47:58The money always comes, like there's never anybody
- 48:00who's like, I've given non-stop value to the world
- 48:04my entire life and I end up coming back to me
- 48:06and I can't pay my bills.
- 48:07I've never heard it.
- 48:08It doesn't exist.
- 48:09It just doesn't fucking exist.
- 48:11And I just wish people would,
- 48:13it seems like this whole hustle culture,
- 48:16the people you're talking about on Instagram
- 48:18or the posts and their yachts.
- 48:19And it seems like they're just trying
- 48:21to extract as much value from the world.
- 48:23Let me just take as much as I can from the world.
- 48:27That's the wrong way to think of a business,
- 48:28entrepreneurship, living.
- 48:31And like even, you know, you were making money
- 48:35and you were doing good work,
- 48:37but you were just like, you weren't living the right way.
- 48:40Exactly.
- 48:41You weren't living the right way.
- 48:42I was like, how do I serve myself, how do I serve myself?
- 48:46And that's what happened.
- 48:47Now on the other side of this,
- 48:49when you are healing
- 48:52and when you are looking at wealth and success
- 48:54in a completely different light,
- 48:56like people have to understand,
- 48:57it's not like you're not making money anymore at all,
- 49:01at all at all.
- 49:02It just means you are doing it in a way
- 49:05that is serving yourself, serving the world.
- 49:07You're not self-destructive.
- 49:08You don't have a, there's no limit now on your life anymore
- 49:11because the way you make money
- 49:13and the way you build a business
- 49:14and the way you sort of put yourself out into the world.
- 49:17Yeah, there's a business component to it,
- 49:21but also you're not gonna die of an overdose
- 49:24or kill yourself or God forbid do something
- 49:28that's illegal or wrong or immoral
- 49:30just because of the way that you operate.
- 49:32Out of the hundreds of entries
- 49:33I've done here the first person to ever put it out that way
- 49:36and I never thought about it,
- 49:37but I've done a lot of interviews and TV
- 49:41and talk shows and been on Q&A panels.
- 49:46And people actually asked me, am I still an agent?
- 49:49Because my passion is so much,
- 49:51but just like you said, no, that hasn't stopped.
- 49:54Like my week was crazy and I'm not,
- 49:56none of this is to name drop a reality.
- 49:58It was magic on Monday.
- 50:00They had Larry Bird do something in Naples yesterday.
- 50:02Like we're around all the guys,
- 50:05Charlie Sheen's gotta do something tonight in New Jersey.
- 50:08We're very blessed to have the talent that we have.
- 50:12I just choose not to talk about it all the time.
- 50:15People to maybe be a little bit more intrigued
- 50:18by my story like to hear some of those stories
- 50:22and like I've said, Gogans and speaking tomorrow night.
- 50:25But that's not what gets me fired off.
- 50:27This is not your identity anymore.
- 50:28No, I'm talking about it.
- 50:29I'm talking about it because I'm talking about not to name drop.
- 50:32I'm talking about it because it's real.
- 50:33Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 50:34This is what the schedule of this week was.
- 50:36I told you before we went on camera,
- 50:38what the week was like.
- 50:39The one that was the most emotional was going to do my mom's
- 50:43one year unveiling us at the cemetery.
- 50:45I told you and the fact that I'd such gratitude
- 50:48as heartbreaking and as to see her and my dad together
- 50:51on the same different plots next to each other.
- 50:54What a blessing that dad had me sober
- 50:56for eight and a half years and my mom had me for 16 and a half.
- 50:58That means more than any of the other stuff
- 51:00that's happening this week.
- 51:01I know and it's because like your identity
- 51:03is no longer just money, right?
- 51:05Your identity is service or the celebrity life
- 51:07or the celebrity life.
- 51:09There's a few words that you said,
- 51:10like a few quotes that I really, really like.
- 51:13One of them, I want you to tell me exactly what it means
- 51:16because I think it'll mean a lot for people
- 51:17that are going through a very hard time in their life
- 51:19or they're addicted to something.
- 51:20And keep it, when I say addicted to something,
- 51:23it could be addicted to work.
- 51:24It could be addicted to drugs.
- 51:26It could be addicted to a variety of different things.
- 51:29Can I have like food, can I have food, anything?
- 51:31Any addiction working out.
- 51:33And this is a whole other idea.
- 51:34Patrick, but David first said this idea
- 51:36and I actually really resonated.
- 51:37So if people don't believe in this
- 51:38not like a spiritual religious podcast,
- 51:41but I think this is a valid point.
- 51:42If people don't have a God in their life
- 51:46in a traditional sense, in a healthy sense,
- 51:48then they replace God with some other version of God
- 51:50and they worship something else.
- 51:51And worshiping something else, idolizing something else,
- 51:56to gain food, women, gambling, work, whatever it is,
- 51:59idolizing any of these things, it's again,
- 52:02self-serving and highly destructive.
- 52:04So you cannot idolize anything that just benefits you.
- 52:09Like your goal in life should be to give value,
- 52:12idolize nothing and just pursue giving value to the world
- 52:15and then all the other stuff will come back to you
- 52:16in the meantime.
- 52:17But you mentioned something about addiction
- 52:20and then I think addiction is the same as idolizing,
- 52:23is the same as unhealthy obsession,
- 52:24is the same as replacing traditional God
- 52:27with worshiping some other part of your life.
- 52:30But you said the opposite of addiction is connection.
- 52:34Explain to me what that means from somebody
- 52:37who is worshiping something, they shouldn't be worshiping.
- 52:41So Ironic let him if you watched my J. Sheddinger,
- 52:44but that's the one that blew him away the most.
- 52:46He's like, oh, is that powerful?
- 52:50You know, it's the truth.
- 52:51It's a disconnect, you know, addiction is,
- 52:56you know, when you literally have a disconnect of here.
- 53:00So when you get back, dialed back into a power greater
- 53:05than herself, but God of your understanding
- 53:08anything in life, we could take that power back
- 53:11because when you're in an addictive state of anything,
- 53:14the biggest struggle is the lack of power.
- 53:17So when you could take that back and stay in your truth
- 53:19no matter how the healing has to take place,
- 53:22the support group, whatever that might be,
- 53:24the individuals, the meditation, the prayer,
- 53:28the religious center's church's temples
- 53:32so you would go to, you're now surrounding
- 53:36yourself a vibration of a connection of people
- 53:40that understand that connectivity
- 53:42and what's needed to stay on that path
- 53:46because by meetings that can miss here and there,
- 53:51it's not the end of the world,
- 53:52but I just feel like a better person when I get to them
- 53:55because I often say, like I've said a many interviews,
- 53:59I want to be the highest vibrating spiritual being
- 54:01and I could be.
- 54:02I want to say what I mean, mean what I say
- 54:04and not say it, mean, in the heat of an argument
- 54:08dealing with the other earth people, I don't want to engage,
- 54:12I'd rather just feel all right than right,
- 54:14even if I know I'm right, just let it go
- 54:18because for any of your listeners,
- 54:20the minute you engage and the minute you give back
- 54:24that energy, I didn't care if you win that day,
- 54:27you've lost because your day's off.
- 54:30You know, you've now put yourself into a bad, bad energy space
- 54:34and it's just so bad, you know,
- 54:37if the twight is just being kind and being in service
- 54:39and knowing what our character flaws are, you know,
- 54:42like, look, we're not doormats.
- 54:45I understand we're human beings every once in a while,
- 54:47but it's also, as our parents, you say we know it,
- 54:50it's not what you say, it's how you say it.
- 54:53That's why I choose to say what I mean,
- 54:55mean what I say and not say, mean.
- 54:56Now, of course my human will occasionally,
- 55:00my sober sponsor, Steve,
- 55:03he's like my big spiritual brother, you know,
- 55:05we say he still tells me this day,
- 55:07once in a while, I can remember what I told you
- 55:08if you snap and it happens and you don't feel bad,
- 55:12he goes, that's when you're not a doormat.
- 55:14Occasionally, you just got to put people into their place.
- 55:18He goes, but it's the tone, it's the way you do it.
- 55:22You don't need to go like psychotic,
- 55:25but you do it to the point where you protect your energy,
- 55:29and this is also why the people you surround,
- 55:31a couple thoughts just on this topic,
- 55:33but the people you surround yourself with
- 55:35are so damn important because those are the people
- 55:37that give you the right energy,
- 55:39encourage the right behaviors.
- 55:40This is not a free big as components
- 55:43of drug addiction alcoholism right at the top,
- 55:46people, places and things.
- 55:48The people you hang with, the places you go
- 55:50and the things that you do will determine your recovery
- 55:54or the quality of your recovery,
- 55:55more than anything you ever do.
- 55:57And on the inverse, look at the other side of that,
- 56:00that can also be the reason why you do get addicted.
- 56:04And I actually think this is why isolation is so dangerous
- 56:09and we are more isolated than ever before after COVID.
- 56:13So if we're sitting at home and we don't have good community
- 56:16people around us and all of our input is social media
- 56:20and Twitter and argument and anger and animosity,
- 56:25that fuels addiction, that fuels bad behavior
- 56:27and I think that one of the first steps,
- 56:30one of the many steps and you sort of just said this,
- 56:32but is to get yourself into environments that are healthy,
- 56:37get yourself out of your own head
- 56:38and get yourself around people that can hold you accountable
- 56:41and lift you up.
- 56:42100% I mean the isolation, look, I need to,
- 56:46even this morning on my grounding that with my,
- 56:48it was my grounding that was my hydrogen water,
- 56:50it was meditation, I got to work out
- 56:53and you know, eat clean everything I have to do
- 56:54because like, here's the thing,
- 56:57like healing is an ongoing journey.
- 56:59You're never fully healed.
- 57:01I choose to say I'm recovered from drug addiction
- 57:06because I do basically what I knew every single day
- 57:09to stay in that recover frequency.
- 57:12I just connect for a week or two, trust me,
- 57:15I know this is not a lifetime cure.
- 57:17I know it's a one day at a time.
- 57:18I love getting high.
- 57:20I'm gonna sit here and tell you,
- 57:21seven day after you lose,
- 57:22I love being high and isolating.
- 57:25I just can't do it successfully.
- 57:27That's what most real addicts that are on the path
- 57:30of sobriety understand.
- 57:31So without that connection of individuals
- 57:35that know what that's like, you don't stand a chance,
- 57:38but it's not just in drugs and alcohol, like I said,
- 57:40it's whatever your addiction or your character flaws
- 57:44had find that group online,
- 57:47whatever it might be, read those books
- 57:50to strengthen that connection,
- 57:52be around people that understand exactly
- 57:55what it is that you're going through.
- 57:56And especially ones that have more experience at it,
- 57:59go into the good side crossing over
- 58:01because you will, you'll take from them
- 58:04and you're helping them too
- 58:05because you're gonna remind them about what it was like
- 58:08a little bit early on,
- 58:09whether it was a shopping addiction, food addiction,
- 58:12sex addiction, gambling addiction,
- 58:15so many problems out there.
- 58:16And helping others, I assume, helps you.
- 58:20That's number one.
- 58:21It's number one.
- 58:22I've unfortunately seen people fail and die.
- 58:26I mean, I scholarshiped a guy during COVID
- 58:29and the wife, well, the ex-wife,
- 58:33she took, she got the kids away from home
- 58:36and she called me, we actually grew up in the same town
- 58:39and I spoke to the guy and called me great
- 58:43and Brandon Novak, one of my spiritual recovery brothers
- 58:46from Jack has, he got on the phone with the guy too
- 58:48and we're super pumped and the guy's like,
- 58:50thank you for this.
- 58:51I'm going to the treatment center and not tomorrow,
- 58:54left me a message and I just went into that weekend.
- 58:59Man, I did God's work again.
- 59:00Thank you, God.
- 59:02And that Monday morning, the woman called me
- 59:04and I could tell something's wrong in her voice
- 59:09and he left the center at Sunday night
- 59:11and they found them dead in the park.
- 59:13And it just set in at that time
- 59:17where I was like, I'm truly part of this fellowship
- 59:21where as terrible as the sounds
- 59:25that we need to see people fail and die
- 59:27so I can live, so we can live,
- 59:30to understand that this is life and death.
- 59:33Like there's people who are losing more lives
- 59:36from drug addiction and substance use
- 59:38and mental health than anything, anything.
- 59:41And I need to be on my eagum every single day
- 59:45to make sure that I don't take a step backwards, you know?
- 59:49And that opposite addiction is connection,
- 59:52the connection is everything for me
- 59:54to stay in that vibration.
- 59:56What is that?
- 59:56What is that?
- 59:57This is for people.
- 59:59This is the insignia for the famous side.
- 1:00:02At this point, I'm going to have to break out in a minute.
- 1:00:04This is alcoholics anonymous,
- 1:00:06and they basically, you know, this was the insignia
- 1:00:09June 10th of 1935 when the 12-step fellowship was formed.
- 1:00:14And, you know, certain old-timers, I apologize
- 1:00:20to disrespect, but I live in a different way.
- 1:00:22I like people to ask what it is
- 1:00:24because even yesterday at my mom's,
- 1:00:29we had a lunch for 30 people celebrating my mom.
- 1:00:32And one of the waiters came over to me and he said,
- 1:00:36man, I'm in recovery today
- 1:00:38because how much time do you have?
- 1:00:39And I was like 17, half years ago, man, I got seven.
- 1:00:42We had a meeting for like 15 minutes with each other.
- 1:00:45It's the greatest thing in the world.
- 1:00:46Here I'm after dealing with the emotions
- 1:00:48to see my mom and my dad trying to stay in gratitude.
- 1:00:51And I see this young waiter
- 1:00:53and we're in the corner of the restaurant
- 1:00:55talking about 15 minutes about.
- 1:00:56And so I proudly wear this
- 1:00:58because it's why you have me here.
- 1:01:02I also think that people underestimate
- 1:01:05how much of an impact they have on other people
- 1:01:07just by living a good life.
- 1:01:10I don't think the average person understands
- 1:01:11that people are always watching.
- 1:01:13And they're always looking
- 1:01:14and they're always wondering, not wondering.
- 1:01:17They're always saying, okay, so can I look up to this person?
- 1:01:21What have they accomplished?
- 1:01:23And you can be a role model in someone's life
- 1:01:26without ever knowing it.
- 1:01:28Like even the fact that you wear this
- 1:01:31and that waiter comes up to you,
- 1:01:33like that 15 minute conversation
- 1:01:35that's such an advantage.
- 1:01:35A big strange number.
- 1:01:36He goes, I'd love to stay and talk to it
- 1:01:37but you never know what someone else is going through.
- 1:01:39I just wish more people would be less selfish about life in general
- 1:01:44because if you realize that it's not just your life
- 1:01:46that you impact when you make stupid decisions
- 1:01:49or you're an asshole or you regress
- 1:01:52or you take something or treat somebody a certain way
- 1:01:56or it's like there's ripple effects to every single action.
- 1:02:01And there could be somebody who looks up to you
- 1:02:04who their world view is just shattered
- 1:02:06because you did something that you shouldn't have done.
- 1:02:09Yeah, well, no.
- 1:02:10And we've seen that on forex.
- 1:02:11Like people that are very highly respected and highly regarded,
- 1:02:15you know, and it's like I truly got to this place
- 1:02:18that I've set up before I interviewed my boy Omar.
- 1:02:21I said, I think on some other ones that probably I don't care
- 1:02:26about the money anymore.
- 1:02:27And I think that's why I manifest like I care about my purpose.
- 1:02:32And it's like if I lost the business
- 1:02:34and the world turns upside down financially
- 1:02:37and I lost the money and couldn't live where I live
- 1:02:41and drive the car that I drive, it doesn't change me.
- 1:02:45I'm moving to a little studio
- 1:02:47like this beautiful podcast studio.
- 1:02:50And I'm good because I found me, I'll figure life out.
- 1:02:54I know enough people out there at that.
- 1:02:56Darren Prince is gonna be okay
- 1:02:57because I found what matters the most.
- 1:03:00And it's an unbelievable feeling of like a super-paradid
- 1:03:04but it'll live that authentic and that transparent
- 1:03:07and share it with people in an effort to help so many
- 1:03:10that need to hear it and that are suffering.
- 1:03:12You speak at high school, you speak to kids,
- 1:03:14you mention that you really enjoy doing this.
- 1:03:16What scares you the most about a younger generation right now?
- 1:03:19Well, what's out there?
- 1:03:20I didn't have fentanyl.
- 1:03:22I didn't have some of the stuff that,
- 1:03:23oh, just the access.
- 1:03:25It's very scary.
- 1:03:26What's out there with them.
- 1:03:28And the access to it is like beyond.
- 1:03:33I mean, I've been not, I'm not a parent yet.
- 1:03:37Let's see what happens.
- 1:03:38There's obviously noots and I talk about it.
- 1:03:40I want to get married, but it's scary.
- 1:03:42And I knew I have kids, right?
- 1:03:43No, not yet.
- 1:03:44Oh, no, okay.
- 1:03:45That's next for us.
- 1:03:46I'm scared too.
- 1:03:47I am scared about like I want, I'm gonna have kids.
- 1:03:49I want kids for sure, but I'm scared.
- 1:03:51Yeah, it's a scary situation
- 1:03:53because I mean, they're always curious.
- 1:03:57Everybody's curious growing up
- 1:03:59and getting in with the clicks
- 1:04:01and certain groups of friends.
- 1:04:03And you don't want to sometimes
- 1:04:04that pure pressure.
- 1:04:05You don't want to kind of feel like
- 1:04:09you don't want to put yourself around an environment.
- 1:04:10I know very well to do younger kids that did fine.
- 1:04:14I never fell down that road, but they understood that.
- 1:04:16You're meeting people, you're experimenting.
- 1:04:19You're so, but nowadays it's so scary.
- 1:04:23What's out there?
- 1:04:24I mean, I hear so many stories of somebody
- 1:04:28just one time trying something
- 1:04:30and the parents lost their child.
- 1:04:32This is actually, this is not an issue
- 1:04:35that plagues a certain demographic.
- 1:04:38Like I know very, very wealthy.
- 1:04:40I know very wealthy families.
- 1:04:42Some good friends of ours that have lost their kids.
- 1:04:46It happens actually quite a bit in L.A.
- 1:04:50It's just, and it's not even addiction at this point.
- 1:04:53It's like party drugs that end up killing people.
- 1:04:56Yep.
- 1:04:58So, you know, I think that's what I said.
- 1:05:01It's just one night.
- 1:05:01One night a drink, something was in the drink, a pill,
- 1:05:05having an idea what was in it.
- 1:05:06Oh, you think you're taking something
- 1:05:07and it turns out to be something else.
- 1:05:09Yeah, well, I mean, so much as being like,
- 1:05:12just fentanyl now, man, they're putting it.
- 1:05:14I don't understand it.
- 1:05:15The philosophy I was like, like if I even at the mindset
- 1:05:20of being a drug deal,
- 1:05:21why are you putting something in something
- 1:05:23that's going to kill somebody?
- 1:05:24I don't get it.
- 1:05:25I don't understand it.
- 1:05:26It's making sense.
- 1:05:27Like, is it like, I'm like,
- 1:05:28since an aunt meant to kill everybody
- 1:05:30or like some people a bit of a bit like,
- 1:05:31just get high off it and feel good
- 1:05:33and wake up the next day.
- 1:05:34Like, I don't understand this.
- 1:05:36It's happening too much.
- 1:05:37Outside of fentanyl, what would be your,
- 1:05:41I mean, that's obviously the other concern.
- 1:05:43The other concerns, yeah.
- 1:05:45I think there are way too quiet up with success.
- 1:05:50And I'm pursuing this like Instagram version
- 1:05:52of support for Yards and bulls.
- 1:05:53And just in general, I don't think.
- 1:05:56I was at the White House three times
- 1:05:58during President Trump's first term,
- 1:06:00and I'll probably out there again, love him or hate him.
- 1:06:04I have a relationship with them
- 1:06:05from the celebrity apprentice days
- 1:06:07and his family's great.
- 1:06:08They've always been Donald's,
- 1:06:10always President Trump's,
- 1:06:11who has been a supporter to my charities and rehab stuff.
- 1:06:15And I got to get time with Kelly and Conway
- 1:06:18and Governor of Christy.
- 1:06:19And I told them, I was like,
- 1:06:20if you guys want to really help the mental health crisis
- 1:06:24and suicide and everything going on
- 1:06:28with this younger generation,
- 1:06:29why don't you start implementing
- 1:06:30in every grammar in high school,
- 1:06:32a self development course.
- 1:06:34If you start bringing in teachers
- 1:06:36that can teach them about self development and self love.
- 1:06:41Now you have the nerds, the geeks, the jocks,
- 1:06:44whatever group everybody wants to go.
- 1:06:45They're all in the same room together.
- 1:06:47And they can all throw out there
- 1:06:49and they're feeling and they can all be one.
- 1:06:51And now there's not anymore bullying and teasing
- 1:06:54because everybody's experiencing something.
- 1:06:57Part of the class would be,
- 1:06:59you have to live in full disclosure
- 1:07:01in this classroom or guess why?
- 1:07:02You're not getting to the next grade.
- 1:07:03That's what this is about.
- 1:07:05This is about, so you're ready to leave here
- 1:07:07and you take the next step to college.
- 1:07:09And then the role, you're going to look back
- 1:07:10at this course and this class
- 1:07:13that you've talked for six months, whatever right they,
- 1:07:15and say this is most impactful class you ever talk
- 1:07:18in your educational years.
- 1:07:20But they don't tell it.
- 1:07:21No, I know.
- 1:07:22I mean, we could do a whole podcast
- 1:07:23on things that I think are incorrect
- 1:07:24and wrong about education and what they teach
- 1:07:28versus what they don't teach.
- 1:07:29I love that.
- 1:07:30Everybody says it's an amazing idea.
- 1:07:32They loved it, but I don't regret it
- 1:07:35because I wouldn't be standing here
- 1:07:36with you sitting here with you today.
- 1:07:38But what a game changer it would be.
- 1:07:41But I think back now, if I had that at 14,
- 1:07:45think about your insecurities and things going,
- 1:07:47how cool would that be, man?
- 1:07:49Like in what a way to break bread
- 1:07:50and for everybody actually makes psychologically
- 1:07:54a healthier adult.
- 1:07:56Because again, most of the shit that you were talking about
- 1:07:58at the beginning, like why people pursue money
- 1:08:02or drugs or anything is because of some version
- 1:08:07of early childhood trauma that is implanted
- 1:08:10into your subconscious.
- 1:08:12And trauma doesn't have to be like,
- 1:08:14doesn't have to be bad.
- 1:08:15It doesn't have to be like, your parents were fighting.
- 1:08:17Exactly.
- 1:08:18No, it could be, well, your parents had ideas
- 1:08:21about what money is and isn't.
- 1:08:22And they always said, well, we can't afford that.
- 1:08:24So now there's something implanted in your brain about,
- 1:08:26now I've got to make more money.
- 1:08:27I'm afforded causing insecurity.
- 1:08:28I'm obsessed of nutrition.
- 1:08:30Or it could be, well, this nurse gave me this drug one time
- 1:08:34and I felt at a very young age when my brain isn't even fully,
- 1:08:38I don't think your brain's developed at 14.
- 1:08:39God forbid, no, it's not even developed
- 1:08:40till much later.
- 1:08:41So now you're just associating drugs with, okay,
- 1:08:45now I have a better, you know, I have more confidence
- 1:08:48and I have an easier time making friends.
- 1:08:51So that's a memory that's implanted in your brain.
- 1:08:54And you have all these memories that are implanted
- 1:08:56in your brain when you're just developing.
- 1:08:58And that shit does not leave you.
- 1:09:00Maybe you don't think about it every single day,
- 1:09:03but that isn't your subconscious until you die.
- 1:09:06Unless you get it out, talk about it, bring it to the forefront.
- 1:09:11And that's why a lot of people are 30, 40, 50
- 1:09:15or why can't I have a relationship?
- 1:09:17Why do I work, you know, 100 hours a week
- 1:09:21and make money when my wife or my husband
- 1:09:24doesn't even care about the money that I make?
- 1:09:26Why do I have such a poor relationship
- 1:09:28with my parents, my kid, all of this is from a young age.
- 1:09:33But there's ways to bring it out into the surface.
- 1:09:37You just had to, you were forced to bring it out into the surface
- 1:09:39or else you would have died.
- 1:09:40A hundred percent.
- 1:09:41But when I did a, I did Bradley a couple of times.
- 1:09:44My boy, I was maybe brother this year.
- 1:09:47I think I did, again, I was talking about the biohacking.
- 1:09:50I even do like frequency in my brain.
- 1:09:52It's this incredible center in West Lake Village, California
- 1:09:56called Sports IQ and Browitz next level stuff.
- 1:09:59They can measure your emotions with it
- 1:10:02and they can actually work on that.
- 1:10:03So like, it's mind blowing to me that like,
- 1:10:07when you're literally in that place, like, listen to us.
- 1:10:11Like, there is ways out there
- 1:10:13that you can watch this interview right now
- 1:10:15because of Scott's brilliant platform
- 1:10:17and there's hope for everybody
- 1:10:19if you're in that dark place.
- 1:10:21Like, it's all out there now
- 1:10:23and it's affordable and some it's free.
- 1:10:26Well, this is all free.
- 1:10:27You know, on YouTube and Apple, it's fine.
- 1:10:30It's all free.
- 1:10:31You know what I'm saying?
- 1:10:32But like, I'm saying some of the biohacking stuff
- 1:10:35and, you know, Gary Breckett got me set up a 10 X
- 1:10:38and he was like, you know, some of that, to some of that cost,
- 1:10:41but there's so much that doesn't.
- 1:10:43There's so many quick fixes on a daily
- 1:10:46that you can, if you have an apartment
- 1:10:48and you have a shower, I don't care if it's a ship box.
- 1:10:50Your shower works.
- 1:10:51Run a cold shower for a minute first thing in the morning.
- 1:10:55Watch what it does to your endorphins,
- 1:10:57don't mean go for a walk around the block,
- 1:10:59take your shoes off, walk on the grass for 15 minutes,
- 1:11:02consistently do start that routine for a week
- 1:11:07and read a couple good books.
- 1:11:09You know what I think it is?
- 1:11:10I think that the theme or the idea
- 1:11:14that will help the most people that I speak about a lot,
- 1:11:16it's just like ownership over your own shit.
- 1:11:19This is David Goggins.
- 1:11:20This is, this is the Apple willing.
- 1:11:23I think it's one of the first things I said to you.
- 1:11:25It's not your mother, father, sister, brother,
- 1:11:27husband, wife, own it.
- 1:11:29It was me.
- 1:11:31Nobody like, when you talk about ownership,
- 1:11:34like if you were to take in that green demoral sleep boy camp,
- 1:11:38I don't think it's gonna have the same effect
- 1:11:40on you that it had on me.
- 1:11:41It had it on me because I suppressed.
- 1:11:43I didn't tell the teachers what we're going on.
- 1:11:45I didn't tell my parents I chose to keep inside
- 1:11:49the way that I was feeling.
- 1:11:51So I have to own everything that I did.
- 1:11:54So I want to give you the opportunity to connect with you.
- 1:11:55I know your book was a while ago,
- 1:11:58but obviously if they want to get your book,
- 1:12:00they can get it Amazon wherever you get your books.
- 1:12:02Where else should they go?
- 1:12:03Like social media and Instagram is at agent underscore DP.
- 1:12:08My father once he free the aiming high foundation
- 1:12:11website is aiminghighfoundation.org.
- 1:12:15I'm still on Facebook.
- 1:12:16Darren Prince, Los Angeles.
- 1:12:18I'm on LinkedIn somewhere.
- 1:12:20But yeah, I mean, this isn't about business.
- 1:12:25Prince Mark and a group is the agency.
- 1:12:28I can care less if somebody reaches out on that.
- 1:12:32I prefer if we can get at least one person
- 1:12:35from this interview that reaches out
- 1:12:38and says, I saw your interview with Scott
- 1:12:41and I'm struggling.
- 1:12:42They're gonna find out how quickly I'll get on the phone.
- 1:12:45Not not text messages.
- 1:12:46Literally, we'll have my office set up a call
- 1:12:49and see if I could do more of God's work
- 1:12:54as an ambassador for him for him saving and changing my life
- 1:12:59because there's nothing that means more to me.
- 1:13:02What would be your last message
- 1:13:04as somebody who's struggling right now?
- 1:13:06You know, you don't have to live this way anymore.
- 1:13:08I've been there.
- 1:13:09I know where you're at and you can truly go through the dark
- 1:13:17and come out on the light and have a life blender
- 1:13:21while do streams, but you can't give up
- 1:13:24and you have to be open to talk about it.
- 1:13:26You gotta be able to tell somebody like me
- 1:13:29or a family or a loved one what's going on.
- 1:13:32The strength is in being vulnerable.
- 1:13:35You know, not hiding it.
- 1:13:36You know, when you're able to just come out
- 1:13:39and have that freedom of saying everything
- 1:13:42and not hiding it, the miracles start to happen.
