- 0:09Speaker 1: Vie for sure. It's time low and love and Low.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Welcome to the Naughty but Nice Sham. Your host, Rob Shooter.
- 0:18Speaker 1: It is Monday, normally every Monday, our dear friend Garrett
- 0:21Speaker 1: joins us. He can't today because he's at the Elvis
- 0:24Speaker 1: Da Ran show in the studio. The whole Elvis team
- 0:27Speaker 1: who we love, are down in Miami, so Garrett is
- 0:29Speaker 1: holding down the fort. The technical thought in New York.
- 0:33Speaker 1: So we're thinking about your Garrett, But we have a
- 0:34Speaker 1: ton of gossip to get to. What time is it,
- 0:38Speaker 1: my friends? It is tea time? Did you sing along?
- 0:42Speaker 1: So before we start the show, I just want to
- 0:43Speaker 1: say a quick thank you. Every day I send out
- 0:47Speaker 1: two three very short, very juicy, very delicious items on
- 0:51Speaker 1: my substack. If you've signed up for my substack, you're
- 0:54Speaker 1: getting these emails from me each day, and I think,
- 0:56Speaker 1: I hope that you're really enjoying them. Late last night,
- 0:59Speaker 1: on a Sunday, I sent out a personal note. So
- 1:02Speaker 1: I sent out two delicious short items. They only take
- 1:05Speaker 1: you a few minutes to read them. I don't like
- 1:08Speaker 1: those long, boring newsletters that take me thirty minutes to read.
- 1:14Speaker 1: I like emails that are really crisp and short, probably
- 1:18Speaker 1: about two hundred words that are so much fun. It's
- 1:21Speaker 1: like a little piece of candy throughout the day. Well,
- 1:23Speaker 1: about seven o'clock last night, on a Sunday, I sent
- 1:26Speaker 1: a personal note just thanking everybody. My book is now
- 1:29Speaker 1: a best seller. I have the numbers. I'm so so grateful.
- 1:34Speaker 1: I'm so full of emotion. It was a big deal
- 1:36Speaker 1: for me doing this book, and I was full of doubts.
- 1:39Speaker 1: I didn't know if I could do it. I didn't
- 1:40Speaker 1: know if I could sell it. I didn't know if
- 1:42Speaker 1: people would like it. I didn't know if i'd be humiliated. Well,
- 1:45Speaker 1: I can do it, and you did like it, and
- 1:48Speaker 1: I am not humiliated. In fact, I am the opposite.
- 1:51Speaker 1: I'm the most proud person in the world today. So
- 1:53Speaker 1: I sent out a personal note just saying thank you.
- 1:56Speaker 1: It was a short note, thank you. I have had
- 1:58Speaker 1: more response read us from this note. There is good
- 2:02Speaker 1: in this world. I promise you. If you're having a
- 2:05Speaker 1: tough day to day, and we do we have those days.
- 2:08Speaker 1: If the world seems a little bit dark at the moment,
- 2:11Speaker 1: I got to promise you there's a lot of love
- 2:13Speaker 1: out there. We just got to find it. We've got
- 2:15Speaker 1: to put ourselves out there too, haven't we. Sometimes I
- 2:18Speaker 1: get criticized by other gossip columnists, other reporters from maybe
- 2:23Speaker 1: wearing my heart on my sleeve a little bit too much.
- 2:26Speaker 1: I'm a very emotional chap. I love to laugh, I
- 2:29Speaker 1: love to smile. I love to enjoy life. And I
- 2:32Speaker 1: think in a world that's so cool that doesn't show
- 2:36Speaker 1: their emotions, that can be a little bit threatening. But
- 2:40Speaker 1: I encourage you if you feel it, enjoy it, say it,
- 2:45Speaker 1: live it. There is good out there, and you, my naughties, ah,
- 2:49Speaker 1: my good, thank you, thank you, thank you. Okay, there's
- 2:51Speaker 1: a big story at the top of the show. Tonight
- 2:52Speaker 1: is the Met Ball, the Big met Ball, and Jeff
- 2:56Speaker 1: Bezos might not attend. So the Bezos, Jeff Bezos and
- 3:01Speaker 1: Lauren Sandrev have paid I'm told, fifteen million dollars to
- 3:04Speaker 1: basically sponsor this ball, which means buying their way in,
- 3:09Speaker 1: and so they're going to be at the ball. But
- 3:10Speaker 1: after the massive amount of backlash, Jeff Bezos is having
- 3:14Speaker 1: second thoughts. Sources tell me that he's actively reconsidering whether
- 3:21Speaker 1: to attend after becoming a lightning rod for backlash surrounding
- 3:25Speaker 1: fashion's biggest night. Lauren is definitely going. I laughed at that.
- 3:30Speaker 1: She numbers on this. She got the dress, she got
- 3:32Speaker 1: the outfit, she got the hair and makeup. People coming.
- 3:34Speaker 1: She is going to that ball. But Jeff, maybe maybe
- 3:39Speaker 1: it's better if he doesn't so. After pouring fifteen million
- 3:43Speaker 1: into the gala, which is now being called, at least
- 3:46Speaker 1: in New York, the Bezos Ball, that's not good. It's
- 3:49Speaker 1: not the met Ball tonight, it's the Bezos Ball. Jeff
- 3:53Speaker 1: has become a single bol a symbol of everything the
- 3:55Speaker 1: critics have been saying the ball now represents. Basically, there's
- 3:58Speaker 1: billionaire excess dressing up and pretending to be culture. This
- 4:03Speaker 1: is super super rich people congratulating themselves, throwing themselves an
- 4:08Speaker 1: at list party that we are not invited to. I
- 4:12Speaker 1: do not have anything against rich people being rich. They
- 4:15Speaker 1: have worked very hard. A lot of them have inherited money.
- 4:17Speaker 1: But Jeff Bezos, he made his own money. What I
- 4:20Speaker 1: don't like is flaunting this wealth. I've never liked it,
- 4:24Speaker 1: and I think this is the culture we've gone down.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Blame the housewives, blame the Kardashians, blame the bezos is.
- 4:30Speaker 1: But now flaunting your wealth on Instagram while people are
- 4:35Speaker 1: really struggling. Gas prices have never been higher, Inflation is
- 4:38Speaker 1: through the roof. It's really expensive, isn't it. I've struggled
- 4:41Speaker 1: the last few months, like I've had to be a
- 4:44Speaker 1: little bit more careful with my money, and I do okay,
- 4:47Speaker 1: And so I worry about some of my friends out there.
- 4:50Speaker 1: I know people are struggling. Jeff probably does know that,
- 4:53Speaker 1: but doesn't want to accept it. They live in a
- 4:56Speaker 1: different reality. And this Bore, which used to be seen
- 4:59Speaker 1: at least in New York, was the pinnacle of fashion,
- 5:03Speaker 1: of success, of glamor of real artistic artistic expression. He
- 5:10Speaker 1: has now been seen as a TACKI ball for super
- 5:13Speaker 1: super rich people. Lara and Sanchez will be there, and
- 5:16Speaker 1: we know she will be the vomvavoom vavoom. The Kardashians
- 5:21Speaker 1: will be there. I love the Kardashians, the voomvavoom vvoom,
- 5:24Speaker 1: but a very different ball than what it used to be. Also, too,
- 5:28Speaker 1: Vogue has lost its power. Vogue is no longer the
- 5:30Speaker 1: magazine it was ten years ago. In fact, people don't
- 5:33Speaker 1: really care about Vogue anymore. It doesn't sell many issues now.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Fashion influencers, people on social media are way more powerful
- 5:41Speaker 1: if you're a designer, If you're a house of design
- 5:44Speaker 1: out there, and you've got a few hundred thousand dollars
- 5:47Speaker 1: to spend on an ad on promotions instead of buying
- 5:50Speaker 1: an ad in Vogue, you might be better off giving
- 5:52Speaker 1: your money to Hailey Bieber or someone on social media
- 5:56Speaker 1: to promote your products. That might be a better exchange
- 5:59Speaker 1: return on investment. So this ball in New YORKID has
- 6:02Speaker 1: caused a lot of drama. There are people talking about
- 6:05Speaker 1: protesting it tonight. Several celebrities, including Meryl Streep, just don't
- 6:09Speaker 1: want to be involved with it. It's reported that she
- 6:11Speaker 1: doesn't want to be around the Bezos is this is
- 6:13Speaker 1: no longer Anna's ball, This is not Vogue, It's not
- 6:16Speaker 1: Anna Winter. It feels like.
- 6:18Speaker 2: The rich kids were they with their Bundy took over
- 6:24Speaker 2: and they're running the world at the moment, and these balls,
- 6:29Speaker 2: and there's a lot of conversation in DC about a ballroom.
- 6:32Speaker 1: It just doesn't sit well. Now, let's remember how tone
- 6:36Speaker 1: deaf Jeff Bezos is. To remember when he sent Gail
- 6:39Speaker 1: King and Katy Perry to the moon. Remember when they
- 6:42Speaker 1: jumped in his rocket and they pretended to be astronauts
- 6:45Speaker 1: for was it ten twelve minutes? It was very emotional,
- 6:48Speaker 1: and they went to the moon and then they came
- 6:50Speaker 1: back and then they talked about it, and everyone's like,
- 6:52Speaker 1: what a waste of money. All that money, that billion
- 6:56Speaker 1: dollars to get Gail King to the moon could have
- 6:59Speaker 1: been spent on people who are hungry, well, people that
- 7:02Speaker 1: are struggling, And so there's a lot of backlash Gail King.
- 7:06Speaker 1: That'll be interesting. She is going tonight, But I don't
- 7:09Speaker 1: know if it's a good look. Has she not learned
- 7:11Speaker 1: a lesson? They can't help themselves, can they? And I
- 7:13Speaker 1: sort of get it. If I had a friend that
- 7:15Speaker 1: was a billionaire, if I had a friend that was
- 7:16Speaker 1: this powerful, I'd want to be around them too. I'd
- 7:20Speaker 1: want to be around that money, that success. But at
- 7:22Speaker 1: the same time, the look, just the image of it,
- 7:26Speaker 1: the optics of it. Tonight, we're gonna feel like Cinderella.
- 7:31Speaker 1: That's who we are going to feel like we're not
- 7:34Speaker 1: invited to this ball. If we did go, we'd have
- 7:37Speaker 1: to pretend to be somebody else. They don't want us there,
- 7:40Speaker 1: soir Jeff is starting at least to think about this.
- 7:44Speaker 1: My sources close to Bezos said him's having second thoughts
- 7:48Speaker 1: about attending tonight, which brings us to our whole question.
- 7:51Speaker 1: What do you think should Jeff Bezos go to the ball?
- 7:53Speaker 1: Yes or no? Laura's going one hundred percent. Lauren will
- 7:56Speaker 1: be at that ball. She's been looking forward to it
- 7:59Speaker 1: for Yes, that's why Jeff paid all the money. His
- 8:02Speaker 1: wife wants to be accepted by Anna Winter. His wife
- 8:05Speaker 1: wants to be on the cover of Vogue. And how
- 8:07Speaker 1: do you do that? You throw money in sponsorships and
- 8:10Speaker 1: buy ads with Anna. And Anna's no fool. She is
- 8:13Speaker 1: a business person. Yes, fashion is very important, but what's
- 8:17Speaker 1: more important to Anna than fashion is business. She runs
- 8:21Speaker 1: Conde Nast, that's the big publishing giant behind Vogue. They're
- 8:25Speaker 1: not doing very well. They're not selling very well. In fact,
- 8:27Speaker 1: there's even rumors that Anna is trying to convince Jeff
- 8:30Speaker 1: Bezos to buy Vogue, to buy the whole company. He
- 8:33Speaker 1: could do that. He bought The Washington Post without a
- 8:36Speaker 1: second thought, so he could buy Vogue. He could buy
- 8:38Speaker 1: Conde nas the publishing company. What do you think should
- 8:41Speaker 1: he go tonight? I think it might be better if
- 8:43Speaker 1: he didn't. Let Lauren have her night, let her walk
- 8:46Speaker 1: the carpet, let her come out looking the voom the voom.
- 8:50Speaker 1: I don't know, what do you think? Or maybe if
- 8:52Speaker 1: Jeff goes, maybe going through the side, maybe not make
- 8:55Speaker 1: such a big fuss. What do you think? Should he go? Yes?
- 8:58Speaker 1: Or now? I think he probably Well, let's be honest
- 9:01Speaker 1: here they are towned deaf. They do not take a
- 9:04Speaker 1: hind these two. What do you think should he yes
- 9:06Speaker 1: or no? Go? Vote on our Twitter page at Nordy
- 9:09Speaker 1: n Ice rob Our facebook page is Thoughty Gossip and
- 9:12Speaker 1: be sure to check by tomorrow to hear your results. Okay,
- 9:15Speaker 1: moving along, guy friends at page six are reporting that
- 9:17Speaker 1: Harry Styles and Zebe Kravitz are moving very very fast
- 9:21Speaker 1: and might have two weddings, not one, but two. It's
- 9:23Speaker 1: less than a month after their whirlwind engagement started. Insider say,
- 9:28Speaker 1: the ultra private couple, they are very private, are already
- 9:31Speaker 1: planning not one, but two weddings, one in London and
- 9:34Speaker 1: one in Manhattan. Yes, these two might be having though
- 9:39Speaker 1: what two weddings? Sauces say Zebe wants a celebration in
- 9:43Speaker 1: New York, that's where her dad lives. As Lenny Kravitz.
- 9:46Speaker 1: I mean he can get on a plane. Though, let's
- 9:48Speaker 1: not be silly here. He's not confined to his home.
- 9:51Speaker 1: He can travel, and so he could go to London.
- 9:53Speaker 1: I don't see what the big deal is. But she
- 9:55Speaker 1: feels like New York is in her soul, It's in
- 9:58Speaker 1: her bones. That's who she is. She's really new cool.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Talk about somebody who does not wear their emotions on
- 10:03Speaker 1: their sleeve. I've never seen her smile or laugh. Of
- 10:06Speaker 1: you very cool, though, very very cool sunglasses the opposite
- 10:11Speaker 1: of me. That's that's who Lenny Kravitz and so many
- 10:14Speaker 1: Kravits are. New York is sort of a cool time,
- 10:16Speaker 1: so they want to do it here in Harry wants
- 10:18Speaker 1: to do it too in Britain, that's where he's from,
- 10:20Speaker 1: that's where his family is. They have so much money
- 10:23Speaker 1: they could rent a jet. So don't worry about them here.
- 10:26Speaker 1: So it's lovely that they're thinking about two weddings. Stars
- 10:28Speaker 1: do this, don't they, And I don't think it's necessarily
- 10:31Speaker 1: because they just want to make life easier for their relatives.
- 10:35Speaker 1: I think they're like the attention. I think they like,
- 10:37Speaker 1: you know, we used to have a birthday party. That's
- 10:39Speaker 1: a birthday week. Some people have a birthday month and
- 10:42Speaker 1: might hold on a little bit. My friend Karen does
- 10:44Speaker 1: a whole month of celebrations, which means basically, we have
- 10:47Speaker 1: to celebrate her for a month. It's exhausting, and so
- 10:51Speaker 1: I think they might stretch this. But two weddings. What's
- 10:54Speaker 1: surprising to me is not where the weddings are, but
- 10:57Speaker 1: that happening so quickly. They've not been gauge for a
- 11:00Speaker 1: month and I've only been around each other for about
- 11:03Speaker 1: eight months. So I don't think you but too fast
- 11:07Speaker 1: when you know what you know? I guess when I
- 11:09Speaker 1: when I first met Bruce, I knew very very quickly
- 11:12Speaker 1: that he was the one. But I didn't get married
- 11:15Speaker 1: to him right away. Well we couldn't. Gay marriage wasn't
- 11:17Speaker 1: allowed when we first dated, but if it was, I
- 11:20Speaker 1: don't think we would have got married in eight months.
- 11:22Speaker 1: But what do you think here? Too fast? Yes? Or no?
- 11:25Speaker 1: Tina Fey is making it officially very clear that Mean
- 11:28Speaker 1: Girls is over, so I have to reboots, sequels, spin offs,
- 11:32Speaker 1: a Broadway Music Hall, and a remake that was pretty
- 11:35Speaker 1: much mocked. Tina Fey says she's done trying to make
- 11:39Speaker 1: fetch Happen sort of. Her message is blunt, there will
- 11:43Speaker 1: be no more mean girl movies coming. She says that
- 11:47Speaker 1: she's tried every version of Thish and each version she
- 11:50Speaker 1: tries this day true to the original. But at this
- 11:53Speaker 1: point it is done, done, done done. Sometimes they can
- 11:59Speaker 1: stretch a good idea one too many steps, far far
- 12:05Speaker 1: away from the original, And I think that's what Tina's
- 12:08Speaker 1: concerned about here. It's not working anymore. I read today
- 12:11Speaker 1: with a huge success over the weekend of the Devil
- 12:14Speaker 1: we prior to part two, but now they're thinking of
- 12:17Speaker 1: a third one. Oh, I don't know. It's those Sex
- 12:19Speaker 1: and the City movies. They just wouldn't stop, and then
- 12:22Speaker 1: they had to do the reboot on HBO Mags and
- 12:25Speaker 1: art was warful, and so I think sometimes I know
- 12:28Speaker 1: when it's time to walk away from the party. I
- 12:31Speaker 1: do not ride a horse into the ground. I don't.
- 12:35Speaker 1: And Tina Fey, I mean she really has with Ningles.
- 12:38Speaker 1: It has had reboots and sequels and spin off set,
- 12:40Speaker 1: a Broadway musical, and then another another movie of the musical.
- 12:44Speaker 1: It's enough, you ruin it, don't you ruin the original?
- 12:48Speaker 1: If you stay at the party a little bit too long.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Tina says, no, no, no, congratulations to Shakira. Just played
- 12:54Speaker 1: the Copa Cabana beach in Rio. Two million fans turned up.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Two million fans turned up. I knew she was a superstar.
- 13:02Speaker 1: I didn't know she was this big a superstar. Do
- 13:05Speaker 1: you know who holds the record for the most people
- 13:07Speaker 1: ever to attend a concert? It's not Madonna or Lady
- 13:10Speaker 1: Gagar who played the same beach. They did a free
- 13:12Speaker 1: concert just a few years ago. Over two million fans
- 13:15Speaker 1: turned up for that. Rod Stuart Rod Stuart holds the record.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Isn't that brilliant? City officials are really praising Shakira, saying
- 13:24Speaker 1: that she brought in almost one hundred and fifty million
- 13:26Speaker 1: to Rio's economy, proving once again, though, when Shakira shakes,
- 13:32Speaker 1: the world follows. I love it, I love it, I
- 13:35Speaker 1: love it. Okay quickly before we get a break, Anna
- 13:37Speaker 1: Winter and Megan Marco's fairy tale romance might be over,
- 13:41Speaker 1: so insiders are telling The Daily Mail. Our friend over
- 13:44Speaker 1: at the Daily Mail, Alison is reporting that Anna Winter
- 13:47Speaker 1: has gone from being an ally of Megan mark And
- 13:50Speaker 1: to an adversary. Oh with one source brutally it's quite
- 13:55Speaker 1: brutal aleegend that the fashion queen quote hates the Duchess.
- 14:00Speaker 1: The Breaking Report said that Meghan's decision in twenty nineteen
- 14:05Speaker 1: to collaborate with the British Vague editor Edward. He's been
- 14:09Speaker 1: a real nemesis of Anna's for a long time. The
- 14:12Speaker 1: British Vague and American Vogue editors do not get along.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Anna won. Edward is gone. But Meghan picked the wrong person.
- 14:19Speaker 1: She picked Edward, and she did collaborate on this massive project,
- 14:23Speaker 1: and Anna was not happy about that. Also too, there's
- 14:26Speaker 1: whispers about unpaid fashion loans, that Meghan returns items late,
- 14:30Speaker 1: that she doesn't want to pay for stuff, that things
- 14:33Speaker 1: are returned sloppy, and so Anna is done with Megan Markle,
- 14:38Speaker 1: which explains why Meghan and Harry will not be at
- 14:43Speaker 1: the ball tonight. Not at the ball tonight. If you're
- 14:47Speaker 1: a fan of Maureen and Callahan's the Nerve, I'm going
- 14:50Speaker 1: to be live tonight on the Nerve. We're going to
- 14:53Speaker 1: do the red carpet together, Maureen, myself, I think a
- 14:55Speaker 1: few surprise guests. I can't say who yet, but if
- 14:58Speaker 1: you want to watch me talk about if you want
- 15:02Speaker 1: to watch Mouren and I talk about all the fabulous
- 15:06Speaker 1: and ridiculous fashion tuning to night. Hey, we're going to
- 15:09Speaker 1: take a quick break and we will be right back.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Naughty but naisham your heads robs
- 15:16Speaker 1: you to who you Let's get to the polls DA DA.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Last year we talked about Britney spears charge in California
- 15:25Speaker 1: in a DUI case. Our question was quite simple, will
- 15:28Speaker 1: she go to jailer said yes? Oh? Eighty percent said no.
- 15:33Speaker 1: I don't think she will go to jail. Part of
- 15:35Speaker 1: it is her celebrity and also to is a misdemeanor.
- 15:38Speaker 1: She did go to rehab, so she will be able
- 15:40Speaker 1: to try and prove to the judge that she is changing.
- 15:44Speaker 1: She was spotted out, she wasn't driving, She was being
- 15:47Speaker 1: driven around California, around by where she lives, looking a
- 15:51Speaker 1: little frazzled. Britney is in a not a good place,
- 15:55Speaker 1: so she's left to rehab a little bit too fast.
- 15:57Speaker 1: I'm told it was just a couple of weeks. Buttheless,
- 16:00Speaker 1: I don't think she will be going to jail when
- 16:03Speaker 1: this case comes up in front of a judge. Hey,
- 16:06Speaker 1: go vote on our Twitter page. Add naughty Nice ramp.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Our facebook page is Nutty Gossip and be sure to
- 16:14Speaker 1: check back tomorrow to hear the results from today's poll.
- 16:19Speaker 1: And now it's time for her Nicest of the day.
- 16:23Speaker 1: My nicest of the day is Schaalis Thorunn, who isn't
- 16:27Speaker 1: raising Hollywood Royalty, you know, she is raising workers. So
- 16:30Speaker 1: the Oscar winner says that her daughters will earn everything
- 16:33Speaker 1: from their first beat up car to their first paycheck.
- 16:36Speaker 1: No trust from coasting, no no, no, no celebrity shortcuts.
- 16:40Speaker 1: She joke. They're gonna have to buy their own cars.
- 16:43Speaker 1: She said, they're going to have to get jobs. She
- 16:44Speaker 1: talked about Starbucks, and she's telling her girls that real
- 16:48Speaker 1: life starts when you show up early and you work
- 16:50Speaker 1: hard and you are kind to everybody else. Chalis, who
- 16:55Speaker 1: has long embraced single motherhood on her own terms, says
- 16:59Speaker 1: independent is the goal. She wants her girls to be independent.
- 17:03Speaker 1: The message is simple. They may open doors, but in
- 17:06Speaker 1: her house, in her house, nobody gets a free ride.
- 17:10Speaker 1: She wants these kids to know they are not going
- 17:13Speaker 1: to be able to coast through life on Mommies millions.
- 17:16Speaker 1: They are expected to make their own money, make their
- 17:19Speaker 1: own decisions, get their own jobs. Good for you, Charley.
