- 0:09Speaker 1: H m hmmm.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa.
- 0:13Speaker 3: First of all, it said managers meeting. It didn't say
- 0:16Speaker 3: professional baker meeting. Okay, you can't be a prep your camera.
- 0:27Speaker 3: I want to see you. Who's the future manager?
- 0:29Speaker 4: Let me see it? Where?
- 0:30Speaker 2: Yeah? John Jay John Jay when he managed the Miami Hurricanes.
- 0:38Speaker 3: Uh but seriously, well, first of all, I text Allie
- 0:40Speaker 3: late and asked him to join us today. Alie Marmel,
- 0:42Speaker 3: manager of the Cardinals, Daniels Scouse. What are what's your title?
- 0:46Speaker 4: Still still the bench coach?
- 0:48Speaker 2: Oh, Allie's bitch. Okay, that's fine.
- 0:51Speaker 4: Uh, that's incredible. It just never ends, never ends.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Agent, I don't.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Yeah, let's I'm glad the bus made it safely. I'm
- 1:05Speaker 3: glad that you guys didn't get a flat tire. You
- 1:07Speaker 3: know that that Missouri what is it? I seventy rivalry
- 1:10Speaker 3: used to be a big deal. It kind of still is.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Not Cups Cardinals, but it's closed, right. So what's Kansas
- 1:14Speaker 3: City like? Is it like a thousand degrees there today?
- 1:18Speaker 1: No, it's actually all right. It's a little rainy, but
- 1:21Speaker 1: weather's the weather's okay, hasn't gotten too too crazy hot yet?
- 1:24Speaker 3: Man, Okay, how many bagels have you eaten of Discalso's?
- 1:28Speaker 3: Would you dare try me? He won't send me any
- 1:30Speaker 3: so I don't know because people that don't know Discalso
- 1:33Speaker 3: is a what is it called doe scals or something else?
- 1:36Speaker 5: Doe Come on, you know it?
- 1:38Speaker 2: So you make you make bagels for everybody? How does
- 1:41Speaker 2: this take?
- 1:42Speaker 1: Hey, they're really good. So usually day games, he brings
- 1:46Speaker 1: it in for the club and they're they're legit, and
- 1:48Speaker 1: then I take them home as well. But they are
- 1:52Speaker 1: that's pretty good.
- 1:53Speaker 6: Yeah, you know, I can only play so much golf
- 1:55Speaker 6: during the season, right, Like, there's weather in the Midwest
- 1:58Speaker 6: rain sometimes, so I need a pick another hobby.
- 2:01Speaker 5: So I started baking.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Well, wow, what kind of do you do spreads or
- 2:06Speaker 2: do you just do straight bagels? You have flavor bagels.
- 2:09Speaker 6: The guys in the guys in the kitchen they hook
- 2:11Speaker 6: up the smoked salmon and put all that stuff out
- 2:14Speaker 6: for anyone who wants that. And yeah, so bring them
- 2:18Speaker 6: in on day games. You guys got some good feedback.
- 2:20Speaker 6: We've got a few different flavors and uh so, yeah,
- 2:23Speaker 6: all right, so we go. We got your traditional plane
- 2:26Speaker 6: a little everything. I went chocolate chip last time, and
- 2:29Speaker 6: then halopeno cheddar seems to be a clubhouse favorite. We
- 2:33Speaker 6: go halapenos and cheddar on top and bottom, leave the
- 2:36Speaker 6: seeds in the halopenio.
- 2:37Speaker 5: So it's got a little bit of kick.
- 2:40Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean, you guys must have a young team,
- 2:42Speaker 7: because all the teams have had old guys.
- 2:45Speaker 4: I'm going I'm going gluten free. I can't have any
- 2:48Speaker 4: of Daniel's bagels. Do you have any gluten free ones?
- 2:52Speaker 4: I don't.
- 2:52Speaker 5: I don't do gluten free. If you want my bagels,
- 2:54Speaker 5: you gotta be gluten friendly.
- 2:58Speaker 3: It's important water. Hold on, christ, I know we're gonna
- 3:01Speaker 3: we're gonna get to baseball. Isn't the water very important though?
- 3:04Speaker 2: Right?
- 3:04Speaker 3: Because like now, I say, New York water is better
- 3:07Speaker 3: for bagels, like Philly water is better for a cheese
- 3:09Speaker 3: steak for some reason.
- 3:11Speaker 6: Yeah, people say that the water in New York helps
- 3:13Speaker 6: make the bagels, you know, the best in the in
- 3:16Speaker 6: the in the country. Now, we were just in New
- 3:18Speaker 6: York and I didn't bring any water back with me.
- 3:20Speaker 6: But we go play the Yankees next time, So I'm
- 3:22Speaker 6: going to bring like a five gallon jug, smuggle some
- 3:25Speaker 6: water back.
- 3:25Speaker 5: And see it makes a difference.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Yes, I think I think you're get in trouble. You
- 3:30Speaker 4: can't bring New York water across state lines. I think
- 3:33Speaker 4: there's something that's gotta be against some law.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Asked John Jay about breaking laws.
- 3:38Speaker 5: Oh god, I don't know anything about that.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Yeah, alright, that talks, right, We're gonna talk. Yeah, we're
- 3:50Speaker 3: gonna actually talk about baseball surprisingly on this show. Uh,
- 3:55Speaker 3: the Cardinals are doing really well, by the way, which
- 3:59Speaker 3: I'm I I'm surprised. I think Krats would be moderately surprised.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Is it all of Daniel's calls to you behind the scenes, Ali,
- 4:08Speaker 3: or is this your doing?
- 4:11Speaker 1: It's the players doing. Man, they're doing a nice job.
- 4:14Speaker 1: It's a young group. And what I'll say, what I
- 4:16Speaker 1: like about what's going on right now with our club
- 4:19Speaker 1: is they're on the same boat trying to prove that
- 4:21Speaker 1: they are big leaders, and they play every single pitch
- 4:25Speaker 1: extremely hard. They're getting after it and every day is
- 4:29Speaker 1: awesome to watch.
- 4:30Speaker 8: Man.
- 4:30Speaker 1: They're competing well, but they're playing the game the right way.
- 4:34Speaker 1: They're playing the game hard and it's been fun to watch.
- 4:36Speaker 1: But it's a group that likes to learn. They're hungry
- 4:39Speaker 1: for what's next. And our staff loves teaching, So it's
- 4:42Speaker 1: a good combo.
- 4:42Speaker 7: Man, all right, Well, Ali's gonna give us the same
- 4:46Speaker 7: manager answer.
- 4:47Speaker 4: So, Daniel, did they not play the game hard? Last
- 4:50Speaker 4: year you were there?
- 4:51Speaker 7: Did they not play It's a lot of the same guys,
- 4:55Speaker 7: but you're telling me this year they're playing the game
- 4:57Speaker 7: hard the right way or have you? You guys put
- 5:00Speaker 7: them in a different spot to be able to play
- 5:03Speaker 7: the game hard at a consistent spot in the lineup,
- 5:05Speaker 7: in a consistent spot on defense.
- 5:07Speaker 4: This year too.
- 5:09Speaker 5: Well, you know, I think there's a lot of guys
- 5:10Speaker 5: that have things to prove.
- 5:13Speaker 4: You had some guys that had.
- 5:15Speaker 6: Some opportunities, maybe didn't perform the best with those opportunities.
- 5:19Speaker 6: And you know, going into this year, I think you
- 5:21Speaker 6: had some guys with a chip on their shoulder. They
- 5:23Speaker 6: were going to get, you know, an opportunity to play,
- 5:26Speaker 6: run out there every day and show what they can do.
- 5:28Speaker 6: And there's was not a lot of expectations from the
- 5:30Speaker 6: outside outside of this clubhouse. And you've seen some early
- 5:34Speaker 6: success and guys when you're when you're trying to establish
- 5:37Speaker 6: ourselves as a big leaguer as a young player, and
- 5:39Speaker 6: you have some of that early success in the season,
- 5:41Speaker 6: you start to believe and you can kind of, you know,
- 5:43Speaker 6: build some momentum. I think we've seen our guys really
- 5:46Speaker 6: capitalize on that early success and believe they can go
- 5:48Speaker 6: out there and not only compete, but go out there
- 5:50Speaker 6: and win.
- 5:51Speaker 9: With over thirty five million downloads, seekeeek is the number
- 5:54Speaker 9: one rated ticketing app and crats there are many many
- 5:58Speaker 9: baseball games on the inventory to check out all summer long.
- 6:02Speaker 9: This is the season now, it is baseball baseball season.
- 6:06Speaker 9: Not many other options for you sports wise. I know
- 6:08Speaker 9: you can go anywhere you want to go with seakeek.
- 6:10Speaker 9: There's so many tickets to choose from, but baseball's center
- 6:12Speaker 9: stage now for the next couple months.
- 6:15Speaker 7: School's out, I'm going to watch some baseball games, some
- 6:18Speaker 7: big league games, all in my area, and I want
- 6:20Speaker 7: to know exactly what it looks like. And I also
- 6:23Speaker 7: want the best deal, So I'm looking for the green,
- 6:25Speaker 7: not the red.
- 6:26Speaker 9: That's right, The green hooks you up with the best
- 6:28Speaker 9: deals on the app. Of course, we have the code
- 6:31Speaker 9: it's Territory ten for ten percent off your next set
- 6:33Speaker 9: of tickets at sea gek. That's ten percent off any
- 6:36Speaker 9: MLB tickets with the promo code Territory one zero. Make
- 6:41Speaker 9: sure you click the link in the description of this
- 6:43Speaker 9: episode that'll download the app if you don't have it already,
- 6:46Speaker 9: and you'll have the code automatically added to your account
- 6:49Speaker 9: so that you can use that code later.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Thank you. See kee Wow, you have the manager speak
- 6:53Speaker 2: down so nicely.
- 6:54Speaker 3: I just want to know whose decision was it to
- 6:56Speaker 3: play Jordan Walker every day and teach them how to
- 6:59Speaker 3: hit all of a sudden. I mean, which one of
- 7:00Speaker 3: you guys is going to take credit for? That's That's
- 7:03Speaker 3: really what I.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Want to know.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Zero credit, man, He's that's been a nice surprise, and
- 7:08Speaker 1: anyone that said they saw this version of him come
- 7:11Speaker 1: in his line, because it's been special. And the early
- 7:15Speaker 1: success to your point, d and him doubling down on
- 7:18Speaker 1: the work that's taken place. Like if you look at
- 7:20Speaker 1: his spring training, it wasn't an impressive spring training, and
- 7:23Speaker 1: the last week or so they took a little bit
- 7:26Speaker 1: of a break of four days of no games and
- 7:28Speaker 1: then got back into games and he had a little
- 7:29Speaker 1: bit better at bats, and then the season starts and
- 7:32Speaker 1: he goes off and then he just started doubling down
- 7:35Speaker 1: on the work that was going on with Brownie and
- 7:37Speaker 1: Casey NBA down in the cage, and that early success
- 7:41Speaker 1: just kind of gave him confidence and he's continued to go.
- 7:44Speaker 1: But what I like most about Jordan is when he
- 7:46Speaker 1: went through that little slump early, that was a nice
- 7:49Speaker 1: test to see is this something that's sustainable or was
- 7:52Speaker 1: this just a little hot flash. And he has something
- 7:55Speaker 1: that he's anchored to that he can point back to
- 7:57Speaker 1: and get back on tracks. So we've seen it a
- 7:58Speaker 1: couple of times now where he kind of dips down
- 8:00Speaker 1: a little bit in baseball's baseball, but then he gets
- 8:03Speaker 1: right back on track and starts hitting. So I love
- 8:05Speaker 1: where he's at physically. I like where he's at from
- 8:08Speaker 1: a mind standpoint, it's been really good.
- 8:13Speaker 7: Who benefits more from some of the veterans being gone.
- 8:16Speaker 7: I'm not saying anything against the veterans. I'm not saying
- 8:19Speaker 7: they were causing anything to be brought down, But who
- 8:21Speaker 7: benefits more? You guys as a coaching staff or the
- 8:25Speaker 7: young players who it's like, hey, you know what this
- 8:27Speaker 7: is your team?
- 8:28Speaker 1: Now?
- 8:28Speaker 7: I get it knowing and I was gone. Gray's gone,
- 8:31Speaker 7: those guys are gone, Contrares is gone. Who's benefiting more.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Gosh, I think it's more the opportunity than anything. It's
- 8:39Speaker 1: going into a season and the young guys knowing like, hey,
- 8:42Speaker 1: you're gonna have some run here, and even if things
- 8:44Speaker 1: don't go well early, we're going to continue to give
- 8:46Speaker 1: you an opportunity to show that you're capable of staying
- 8:49Speaker 1: up here at the big league level. So I think
- 8:50Speaker 1: it's more that mentality than anything. Because if you think
- 8:53Speaker 1: about our staff, I mean year one for me as
- 8:55Speaker 1: a manager in twenty two, like had Albert had Yatiuano,
- 8:58Speaker 1: Goldie Nado is a veteran group, and so I think
- 9:02Speaker 1: the players benefit from just knowing that they're going to
- 9:05Speaker 1: have a little bit more run based on the type
- 9:08Speaker 1: of year and how we're looking at twenty twenty six
- 9:10Speaker 1: from an evaluation standpoint.
- 9:13Speaker 6: I think also as a as a young player, when
- 9:16Speaker 6: you when you have veterans in the in the clubhouse,
- 9:19Speaker 6: you tend to kind of defer to them and look
- 9:21Speaker 6: to them, and you know, speaking in clubhouse meetings and
- 9:24Speaker 6: hitters meetings and and kind of answering the questions after
- 9:26Speaker 6: the game, and the veterans are the identity of your team.
- 9:30Speaker 6: And now you're in spring training and you're a young
- 9:32Speaker 6: guy and you look around you don't really have those
- 9:34Speaker 6: same veterans. You're forced to kind of take ownership of
- 9:37Speaker 6: what's going on, take ownership of those meetings. And I
- 9:40Speaker 6: think we've had we've had some young those young guys
- 9:42Speaker 6: really embrace that.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Like I'll add to that, like, you sit in our
- 9:46Speaker 1: Hitters meeting right now, and at the end of every
- 9:49Speaker 1: Hitters meeting, every guy that's in the lineup will say
- 9:52Speaker 1: something based on how they're approaching that day, how they're
- 9:55Speaker 1: approaching that starting pitcher. And that's not normal in the
- 9:59Speaker 1: years that I've been up here to have that many
- 10:01Speaker 1: guys speak into Hitters meeting and own it. That's been
- 10:05Speaker 1: fun to watch as well.
- 10:07Speaker 4: I love that. I love to hear that.
- 10:09Speaker 7: I love it when you hear about guys that are
- 10:10Speaker 7: having all star years, that are young and now able
- 10:14Speaker 7: to take control of the team and be that next future.
- 10:17Speaker 7: But now there's expectations. I think your playoff odds were
- 10:21Speaker 7: like nine percent and now they're fifty percent. Expectations. Have
- 10:27Speaker 7: they reached the clubhouse yet? Have you seen guys that
- 10:30Speaker 7: are like, hey, you know what, well, let's not plan anything.
- 10:33Speaker 4: For October yet? Or how do you speak into that
- 10:36Speaker 4: as coaches.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Now, I think you got to keep the focus where
- 10:41Speaker 1: it's been from the beginning, like head down, let's continue
- 10:44Speaker 1: to get better, and we talk about it internally a lot.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Let's be better in madeen, we're in April, better in
- 10:48Speaker 1: June than May. And if you lose focus of that
- 10:50Speaker 1: and start trying to just hold on to what you've
- 10:52Speaker 1: done up to this point, I think that's when you
- 10:53Speaker 1: start you start to lose it a little bit. I
- 10:56Speaker 1: think we just stay focused on getting these guys better
- 10:58Speaker 1: and staying just pedal down, and I think our group
- 11:03Speaker 1: will respond really well to that. But I don't like
- 11:05Speaker 1: thinking in those terms as far as like, man, let's
- 11:08Speaker 1: hold on to what we've done and now we have expectations.
- 11:10Speaker 1: I think that gets you sideways.
- 11:13Speaker 2: True, true, all right, what have you guys done in
- 11:15Speaker 2: the pitching?
- 11:15Speaker 3: Dustin May was incredible as last time out you're starting
- 11:18Speaker 3: and your bullpend guys have been really good this year.
- 11:21Speaker 2: What has changed about the pitching?
- 11:22Speaker 3: Is there anything changed about a pitching philosophy or anything
- 11:25Speaker 3: pitching With the new leadership, with Heine Bloom coming.
- 11:28Speaker 2: In, I'll say.
- 11:31Speaker 1: The addition to both sides on the hitting side and
- 11:34Speaker 1: the pitching side. We've added a staff member in Casey
- 11:36Speaker 1: on the hitting side and added K. D. Driscoll on
- 11:40Speaker 1: the pitching side, and man, man power is real, Like
- 11:44Speaker 1: the more eyeballs on our guys and the more you
- 11:46Speaker 1: get to take the information and make it simple and
- 11:49Speaker 1: actionable for our guys, it's helpful. But on the pitching side,
- 11:52Speaker 1: I feel like Dusty and that group have done a
- 11:54Speaker 1: really nice job getting the most out of out of
- 11:56Speaker 1: what we have our rotation. If you look at the
- 11:59Speaker 1: beginning of the year where we were slotted to be
- 12:02Speaker 1: from a rotation standpoint, where they're at today.
- 12:04Speaker 8: Man, there's there's a.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Big gap there, And so I give the players a
- 12:07Speaker 1: ton of credit for going out there and executing, but
- 12:08Speaker 1: the staff has done a nice job of giving them
- 12:12Speaker 1: the resources to have that success. So the pen as well.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Man to see O'Brien in that ninth inning role getting
- 12:20Speaker 1: them from Seattle and the growth that we've seen out
- 12:23Speaker 1: of this dude from not only physical but from a
- 12:27Speaker 1: mental standpoint of believing in his stuff and going out
- 12:29Speaker 1: there and dealing with the pressure of getting the last
- 12:31Speaker 1: three outs of the game. That's been cool. You got
- 12:34Speaker 1: the Grenello trade for Soriano and what we've been able
- 12:36Speaker 1: to get out of him. That's been amazing to see.
- 12:38Speaker 1: So guys just stepping up and it's different guys are
- 12:42Speaker 1: continuing to do that. But that's the fun part about
- 12:44Speaker 1: this type of season.
- 12:46Speaker 7: Daniel, you can have a different answer than Ali, But
- 12:49Speaker 7: who has blown away? I just want to make sure
- 12:52Speaker 7: you know that because he's not going to fire you. Okay,
- 12:54Speaker 7: he can't. He's only firing you if he's about to
- 12:56Speaker 7: get fired. But who has blown you? Guys away? As
- 13:00Speaker 7: coaches that you guys were like, I didn't know it
- 13:03Speaker 7: was gonna be like that. I didn't know this guy
- 13:05Speaker 7: was gonna be that way.
- 13:08Speaker 6: I'm gonna go ahead and say, you know, jj Weatherold
- 13:10Speaker 6: has been like a steady presence in that lineup every day,
- 13:14Speaker 6: Like when you are a top prospect, obviously there's high expectations,
- 13:19Speaker 6: but until you get to the big leagues and experience
- 13:22Speaker 6: and play every day, like, you don't know what you're
- 13:24Speaker 6: gonna get out of these guys. And so it's nice
- 13:26Speaker 6: to be around him in spring training and as we're
- 13:28Speaker 6: talking lineup construction, he really kind of was the best
- 13:32Speaker 6: fit for the top of the order for us.
- 13:33Speaker 5: And then again, you don't know how how a rookie is.
- 13:35Speaker 6: Gonna handle that job of being pencil into the leadoff
- 13:37Speaker 6: spot right out of the gate. But you know, this
- 13:40Speaker 6: guy just you can't tell if he's over four or four.
- 13:43Speaker 6: For his last four he's played great defense, where that
- 13:46Speaker 6: was kind of maybe a little.
- 13:47Speaker 5: Question mark for us. We weren't sure how he's gonna
- 13:49Speaker 5: handle second base, and he's been outstanding. So just just to.
- 13:53Speaker 6: Watch him as a rookie just kind of show up
- 13:55Speaker 6: every day and just know that he belongs and set
- 13:58Speaker 6: the tone for us at the top has been has
- 13:59Speaker 6: been impressive.
- 14:01Speaker 3: Yeah, it was my Rookie of the Year pick. By
- 14:04Speaker 3: the way, I'm just saying he was my Rookie of
- 14:05Speaker 3: the Year pick.
- 14:06Speaker 2: He's he's he's doing it. He's doing it. Just stay
- 14:08Speaker 2: away from scouts about age.
- 14:09Speaker 6: Hey, not not only can you talk, Not only can
- 14:12Speaker 6: you talk, you're a good scout too.
- 14:13Speaker 2: Yeah, you know what, You're right.
- 14:15Speaker 3: That's that's why I'm on television because I can scout
- 14:17Speaker 3: and I can talk.
- 14:18Speaker 2: It's amazing. It's amazing, all right, is there?
- 14:22Speaker 3: You guys have been both then in the Cardinals, organization
- 14:24Speaker 3: for a long time.
- 14:25Speaker 2: What's the Cardinal's way.
- 14:31Speaker 5: I think that people overblow the cardinal weight, right. But
- 14:34Speaker 5: from the from the get go, when you get.
- 14:36Speaker 6: Into our organization, it was always about the little things, right,
- 14:40Speaker 6: the things that maybe don't show up in the box score,
- 14:42Speaker 6: the attention to detail, the importance of a routine, and
- 14:46Speaker 6: and the importance of showing up with the mindset to
- 14:49Speaker 6: go kick someone's ass every night, and we're gonna do
- 14:52Speaker 6: all the little things that.
- 14:53Speaker 5: It takes to do that, and just.
- 14:55Speaker 4: Hammering that over and over.
- 14:56Speaker 6: From the time you get into the organization, get into
- 14:59Speaker 6: the big leagues, expectation is to do the same thing,
- 15:01Speaker 6: go out and win.
- 15:03Speaker 5: I don't think it's any more complicated than that.
- 15:07Speaker 2: That's her, that's her. Uh. Josh Obias hid for homers?
- 15:10Speaker 3: Should we expect him next week in the in Cardinals.
- 15:14Speaker 5: I think you can hit four homers in like an automatic
- 15:16Speaker 5: promotion to the big leagues.
- 15:17Speaker 4: I heard that's a rule.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Yes, yes, he's got twenty three homers. Are anybody goes need?
- 15:22Speaker 5: I mean, you hit four homers, you got to go
- 15:24Speaker 5: somewhere else, right, true?
- 15:25Speaker 3: True, yes, that's true, true, all right? Before we let
- 15:28Speaker 3: you go we have one fan question. It's from Katie
- 15:32Speaker 3: from LA. She wants to know who gets stressed first,
- 15:34Speaker 3: who gets dressed first, and who chooses the matching outfit first.
- 15:38Speaker 3: Does Alli get dressed Daniel have to match it or
- 15:41Speaker 3: does Daniel get first to say, oh, you have to
- 15:43Speaker 3: wear this?
- 15:44Speaker 6: In today's game, we talk about alignment from the top,
- 15:48Speaker 6: from the front office all the way down.
- 15:50Speaker 5: To the minor leagues, and alignment can.
- 15:52Speaker 4: Also include a tire that's disgusting.
- 15:56Speaker 1: You're an idiot choosing Yeah, be your own person.
- 15:59Speaker 4: He isn't.
- 16:01Speaker 6: I was gonna say, how long until we get a
- 16:04Speaker 6: question about us matching because that was just you.
- 16:06Speaker 5: That's how you know we're on the same page.
- 16:08Speaker 1: You walked in and yeah, damn it.
- 16:09Speaker 3: Yeah, at least mean at least at least Katie from
- 16:13Speaker 3: l A got her answer.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Okay, at least she got her Kadi from LA.
- 16:18Speaker 3: But before let's you go all you think it kicked
- 16:20Speaker 3: out the other night for the first time, was descalso
- 16:23Speaker 3: pushing you out there, go get ejected. I can get
- 16:26Speaker 3: he was like a little scrappy dude, Go go get him.
- 16:28Speaker 3: At least why I can manage for seven innings.
- 16:31Speaker 1: There's been a couple of times we've gone out at
- 16:33Speaker 1: the same time. I think twice. Well we've got ejected
- 16:37Speaker 1: on the same exact play, but I've been most improved.
- 16:40Speaker 1: I mean June, middle of June for my first injection.
- 16:43Speaker 1: It's legit, so I'm proud. Yeah, no one had that
- 16:49Speaker 1: one definite.
- 16:51Speaker 4: You're definitely from Doctor Pepper High School. You're promoting yourself.
- 16:54Speaker 2: I get it.
- 16:56Speaker 3: You know why you guys get injected together because you
- 16:58Speaker 3: guys were the same outfits and the same beer in
- 17:00Speaker 3: the same gray. So the dumpires like both of you
- 17:02Speaker 3: just go, just go together.
- 17:05Speaker 4: I don't know which one, but you both got to go.
- 17:07Speaker 2: That's right.
- 17:07Speaker 3: What is young is yes, thank you, guys. We really
- 17:12Speaker 3: do appreciate y'all joining us. Tell John enjoy the player's
- 17:15Speaker 3: bus at four point thirty whenever he gets there.
- 17:17Speaker 2: But that's Ali.
- 17:18Speaker 3: Marmal Daniel descalso from the Saint Louis Cardinals. They're a
- 17:21Speaker 3: playoff team people. If you haven't watched them, tune in.
- 17:24Speaker 3: They're doing something in Saint Louis.

- 18:44Speaker 2: Great to have you on, man, Hold on, hold on, Cody.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Where are you right now?
- 18:47Speaker 10: I'm in a parking lot of a love As station.
- 18:50Speaker 10: I thought I was going to make it home and
- 18:51Speaker 10: I didn't.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Where are you living these days?
- 18:54Speaker 8: I am in Argyle, Texas.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Oh, because these are from Orlando. I was like, why
- 18:59Speaker 2: is he not? I am here.
- 19:01Speaker 8: I used to run into a j all the time
- 19:02Speaker 8: in Olive Garden.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Three breadsticks and salad. I love all of the oh Man,
- 19:10Speaker 2: nothing makes a turn like the Olive Garden. Wait till
- 19:16Speaker 2: what happened?
- 19:16Speaker 8: We lost you? We lost you.
- 19:18Speaker 2: You're out of u.
- 19:20Speaker 9: No, No, you're here like we we as a state
- 19:23Speaker 9: lost Cody Allen.
- 19:24Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, I moved out here.
- 19:26Speaker 10: I moved out here twelve years ago. So I've been
- 19:28Speaker 10: here for a little while. I found a good group
- 19:30Speaker 10: guys trained with, and just kind of, you know, a
- 19:34Speaker 10: new home for a little while.
- 19:36Speaker 8: All Right, there you go.
- 19:37Speaker 2: Uh, let's talk audience, shall we?
- 19:40Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 19:40Speaker 2: I mean they're behind the White Sox.
- 19:42Speaker 9: They're behind the White Sox. And also they'd been playing well,
- 19:45Speaker 9: exceeding expectations, I would say, as usual, but they've taken
- 19:49Speaker 9: quite a hit the last few days, So can you
- 19:51Speaker 9: run through how they're going to weather the storm and
- 19:54Speaker 9: if you want to relate it to anything trade wise,
- 19:56Speaker 9: I know that's not usually their game to go big,
- 19:58Speaker 9: but no, they're an opening.
- 20:00Speaker 10: I think there is an opening. I definitely think there
- 20:03Speaker 10: is an opening. I think the Central is very similar
- 20:06Speaker 10: to the West right.
- 20:07Speaker 8: Now in the American League.
- 20:08Speaker 10: Of that, I mean, it's it's wide open for some
- 20:11Speaker 10: of these clubs. I think the White Sox have surprised.
- 20:13Speaker 10: I think there's some teams that aren't playing well. But
- 20:15Speaker 10: you know, losing Joseermrez with a hamdmate bone, You've got
- 20:19Speaker 10: Chase the Later who's a little bit banged up, so
- 20:22Speaker 10: they're battles some injuries. Gaviarius is back, so it'll be
- 20:24Speaker 10: interesting to see how he bounces back. But obviously for
- 20:28Speaker 10: Cleveland it's always about can they score? Can they score?
- 20:32Speaker 10: Can they score? And I think there are some guys
- 20:34Speaker 10: I like Taylor Ward out there. There's even some talk
- 20:37Speaker 10: about maybe a Joe Adell. I think he fits because
- 20:39Speaker 10: he's got club control. They have the prospect capital too.
- 20:42Speaker 10: They've got some guys that you know, Cleveland always drafts well,
- 20:47Speaker 10: they develop well. I think if you're another organization, you
- 20:50Speaker 10: covet probably what Cleveland is burying right now in double A,
- 20:54Speaker 10: And so it'll be interesting to see kind of the
- 20:58Speaker 10: position they put themselves in over the next weeks heading
- 21:01Speaker 10: into the deadline.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Cody, I know they need to score runs, but let's talk.
- 21:06Speaker 3: Cleveland's been about pitching for about the last ten years, right, Yeah,
- 21:09Speaker 3: So Chircni pitched great yesterday. Gavin Williams is pitching tonight,
- 21:14Speaker 3: bab the bullpen with Kate Smith. How the heck do
- 21:17Speaker 3: they develop these pitchers so well and they've had such
- 21:19Speaker 3: a hard time with position players.
- 21:21Speaker 8: You know, I think it is.
- 21:23Speaker 10: It's very interesting because you know, Ruben Diebla was a
- 21:27Speaker 10: big part of that player development program there for a
- 21:29Speaker 10: long time.
- 21:29Speaker 8: He's now in San Diego.
- 21:31Speaker 10: But obviously, these guys, they put a ton of their
- 21:35Speaker 10: available resources, whether it be capital or or time into
- 21:40Speaker 10: developing out a system that just develops these strike throwers
- 21:44Speaker 10: and these guys who have great stuff. But if you
- 21:47Speaker 10: look at their rotation as a whole, and the guys
- 21:49Speaker 10: they have up there outside of Kate's Smith and Gavin Williams,
- 21:53Speaker 10: it's not like they're smothering you with just raw ability. Man,
- 21:56Speaker 10: these guys have something unique about them, whether it be
- 21:59Speaker 10: a Parker messag change up or a Joey Cantillo kind
- 22:02Speaker 10: of upshoot fastball. You know, these guys have something, They
- 22:07Speaker 10: have an identity. They throw a lot of strikes, they
- 22:09Speaker 10: don't beat themselves. And the one thing too is, man,
- 22:11Speaker 10: they just got a lot of death. They've always just
- 22:13Speaker 10: got a volume of arms that they can just smother
- 22:16Speaker 10: you with.
- 22:17Speaker 2: But they're not afraid to go to them.
- 22:19Speaker 7: Do you think of that is part of the superpower
- 22:21Speaker 7: because it used to be it was always starting pitchers
- 22:24Speaker 7: and then you broke that mold that the Guardians were
- 22:26Speaker 7: like the Indians at the time were like, Okay, I
- 22:29Speaker 7: guess we'll call Cody Allen up before something happens to them.
- 22:32Speaker 7: And then you know, now it's back to do them both.
- 22:35Speaker 7: But they have a runway they're allowed to call these
- 22:37Speaker 7: guys up. Isn't that the superpower?
- 22:40Speaker 8: I think too?
- 22:40Speaker 10: And I think some of the some of the metrics
- 22:43Speaker 10: we have out there now, or the ability to obtain
- 22:45Speaker 10: data and look at it objectively, is you you might
- 22:49Speaker 10: be able to look at a guy in double A
- 22:52Speaker 10: and be like, hey, dude, this guy has just as
- 22:54Speaker 10: good as stuff as pretty much every other guy in
- 22:56Speaker 10: the big leagues. Let's not be afraid of challenging this
- 23:00Speaker 10: guy and seeing what he's made of, especially if we
- 23:02Speaker 10: have a need. So I think the things that they value,
- 23:07Speaker 10: like throwing strikes, getting guys out, you know, the I
- 23:11Speaker 10: don't think they chase Velo as much of as much
- 23:14Speaker 10: as maybe some other organizations. They look at a lot
- 23:16Speaker 10: of pitch characteristics, just the ability to throw strikes, control counts,
- 23:21Speaker 10: and get outs. You know, if that's the name of
- 23:23Speaker 10: the game, right, we can look at all the other
- 23:24Speaker 10: metrics that are out there, but the name of the
- 23:26Speaker 10: game is to get people out at a high rate
- 23:28Speaker 10: and score more runs than the other team.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Cody, over your right shoulder, there's an arm I see.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Is that your son or daughter?
- 23:35Speaker 8: Yeah, he's back there. He's playing some.
- 23:37Speaker 3: What did you I was gonna say, what did you
- 23:39Speaker 3: have to bribe him to not move and not talking?
- 23:43Speaker 8: Nintendo switch MLB twenty five right now?
- 23:45Speaker 3: Okay, because I just see you could just barely see
- 23:49Speaker 3: like his arm sticking out.
- 23:51Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 23:51Speaker 10: I think it just he's probably hit a dinger or
- 23:53Speaker 10: something like that. So he's doing a little quiet celebration.
- 23:55Speaker 2: So if he had a dinger, he'd be jumping up
- 23:57Speaker 2: and down.
- 23:57Speaker 9: Let's not last celebration because he knows he's on TV.
- 24:02Speaker 8: Oh yeah, yeah, I told five times.
- 24:05Speaker 3: You know, God, I want to talk about Parker Messik
- 24:08Speaker 3: for a minute. Uh yeah, you mentioned kind of his
- 24:11Speaker 3: his stuff. He doesn't overpower you. He's kind of like
- 24:14Speaker 3: you're watch him pitch and he's like ninety one, ninety
- 24:17Speaker 3: two and change up and you know it doesn't look
- 24:21Speaker 3: like you're the guy that's gonna but this dude has
- 24:23Speaker 3: turned into a dude?
- 24:25Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 24:25Speaker 2: Is that what this is that you kind of mentioned
- 24:27Speaker 2: a little bit?
- 24:28Speaker 3: Does Cleveland kind of look for guys that are a
- 24:29Speaker 3: little bit unique and then try to build off that
- 24:32Speaker 3: uniqueness because you mentioned you mentioned uh Cantilla. You know,
- 24:36Speaker 3: Gavin Williams is the six foot ac out, the big
- 24:38Speaker 3: curveball in the high fastball. Do they try to find
- 24:41Speaker 3: something and then accentuate that.
- 24:43Speaker 10: I think what Cleveland does a really good job is
- 24:46Speaker 10: they they identify talent very well, right, but they identify
- 24:51Speaker 10: you know, what does this guy do that is really
- 24:53Speaker 10: unique to this guy? Or what is this guy's identity
- 24:57Speaker 10: and the one thing, you know, I think you guys
- 24:58Speaker 10: know this, as you know Kratzy and Aja, you.
- 25:01Speaker 8: Guys know this.
- 25:01Speaker 10: But a good change up only works if the guy
- 25:06Speaker 10: has a lot of conviction behind it, right like you
- 25:09Speaker 10: kind of have to sell it. And so I don't
- 25:11Speaker 10: think Parker's change up plays as well if he doesn't
- 25:15Speaker 10: have that like bulldog mentality, because he, I mean, is
- 25:19Speaker 10: a strike thrower. He's fast paced, he's coming after you
- 25:22Speaker 10: with ninety two, ninety four, maybe a little bit of cut.
- 25:25Speaker 10: But every time he throws that change up, which does
- 25:28Speaker 10: have unreal action, and it's got good you know, front
- 25:31Speaker 10: to back, you know, speed separation. But if he's not
- 25:34Speaker 10: smothering you with fastballs where it's like you just look
- 25:36Speaker 10: up after five seconds you're O two or and the
- 25:39Speaker 10: guy's blowing you up inside, the change up doesn't work
- 25:41Speaker 10: like that, right Like, you look at all the guys
- 25:43Speaker 10: with great changeups, like a Cole Hammils or you know,
- 25:46Speaker 10: Tom Glavin.
- 25:46Speaker 8: Or you know.
- 25:47Speaker 10: So I mean, I know, I'm going back, but they
- 25:49Speaker 10: have to be kind of like that bulldog type, throw
- 25:53Speaker 10: a ton of strikes and then just pull the string
- 25:55Speaker 10: on you.
- 25:56Speaker 8: And that's what he does. I think that makes him effective.
- 25:58Speaker 10: If he didn't throw as many strikes as he did
- 26:00Speaker 10: with his fastball, his change up would be it wouldn't
- 26:03Speaker 10: be as elite as it is.
- 26:05Speaker 7: We talked about the lineup of the injuries and the
- 26:07Speaker 7: fact that everybody that's leading any category is hurt right now.
- 26:12Speaker 7: They still have to figure out ways to win this rotation,
- 26:16Speaker 7: this rotation if it were to sustain an injury, similar
- 26:21Speaker 7: to Jose Ramirez, who's the Jose Ramirez of this rotation,
- 26:25Speaker 7: that if he goes out, that is a big blow.
- 26:30Speaker 10: I think it's got to be Gavin, you know. I mean,
- 26:33Speaker 10: Parker's doing really, really well. But Gavin's the guy that
- 26:36Speaker 10: more often than not is lining up against the other guy,
- 26:39Speaker 10: right you know, he was, you know, he was the
- 26:41Speaker 10: guy that he's lining up against your de Grams, he's
- 26:45Speaker 10: lining up against your your schoobls uh, And he's the
- 26:48Speaker 10: one that he's he's winning those games or at least
- 26:50Speaker 10: giving you an opportunity to win those games. So if
- 26:52Speaker 10: you lose a Gavin, that's that's a big blow. He's
- 26:55Speaker 10: eating up a lot of innings for this club, But
- 26:57Speaker 10: so is Parker Messeig. I mean, you could say the
- 26:58Speaker 10: same thing about Parker. You know, these two guys, both
- 27:01Speaker 10: of them a month ago, you were talking about like
- 27:03Speaker 10: either one of them could potentially start the All Star Game.
- 27:06Speaker 10: That's how good these guys were early in the season.
- 27:08Speaker 10: I know Gavin's numbers have taken a little bit of
- 27:11Speaker 10: a step back, but he's still missing bats at a
- 27:13Speaker 10: really high rate. His eras crept up a little bit,
- 27:15Speaker 10: but Parker's still a sub three. Beating up innings, getting teams,
- 27:20Speaker 10: you know, getting the team deep in the game, and
- 27:23Speaker 10: keeping the bullpen fresh. But dude, this is rotation. You
- 27:25Speaker 10: talk about it like if they lose a guy, I
- 27:28Speaker 10: think they have the depth in triple A to cover it, right.
- 27:31Speaker 10: They do have the depth in the bullpen to maybe,
- 27:33Speaker 10: you know, rely upon a fifth starter for four or
- 27:36Speaker 10: five innings and then be a bullpen game from there
- 27:38Speaker 10: on out. But man, if this team gets in the postseason,
- 27:40Speaker 10: you can take a guy like Slaye Secconi and put
- 27:43Speaker 10: him in the bullpen.
- 27:44Speaker 8: Let his stuff play up.
- 27:46Speaker 10: Man, that is a really, really dangerous group that is
- 27:49Speaker 10: going to be very difficult to score off of.
- 27:52Speaker 7: Well, that was gonna be my next question. Playoffs start tomorrow.
- 27:55Speaker 7: Who is the game one starter? Because last few years,
- 27:58Speaker 7: it's been Tanner Bibi is who they leaned on.
- 28:01Speaker 10: Yeah, you know, I mean Tanner's the guy who you know,
- 28:04Speaker 10: he kind of drives the ship there, like Cultrie, like
- 28:06Speaker 10: he's the leader. But I don't think he would have
- 28:09Speaker 10: any qualms with you know, Gavin or Parker getting the
- 28:13Speaker 10: ball right. And I think too as a club, I
- 28:15Speaker 10: think Vote does a really really good job. I think
- 28:17Speaker 10: that front office does a great job of trying to
- 28:19Speaker 10: figure out where are our best matchups? Right, So, if
- 28:22Speaker 10: we're playing you know, say the Houston Astros, You've got
- 28:25Speaker 10: a lot of right handed.
- 28:26Speaker 8: Bats, Gavin's probably my you know, game one guy.
- 28:30Speaker 10: You know, if I'm playing a team that's left handed
- 28:32Speaker 10: heavy or balance, you know, I might go with Parker
- 28:34Speaker 10: because then I can have Gavin go games two, game five.
- 28:37Speaker 10: So but if I needed to win a game tomorrow,
- 28:41Speaker 10: I'm probably going with Gavin.
- 28:44Speaker 2: Tody. We mentioned Las and in and out of the lineup.
- 28:49Speaker 2: You lost, just lost Martinez. Right. Can they keep face
- 28:53Speaker 2: with the White Sox?
- 28:54Speaker 8: I think they can.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Are they going to be too far behind because the
- 28:57Speaker 2: White Sox just keep going like this and the Guardians
- 28:59Speaker 2: keep going like White Sox.
- 29:02Speaker 8: Here in the Guardians, you know.
- 29:05Speaker 10: I mean, I'll say this, they were fifteen games out
- 29:09Speaker 10: last year, they were fifteen games back and they half
- 29:13Speaker 10: right and a half fifteen and a half, and they
- 29:15Speaker 10: caught up in six weeks seven weeks. So this group,
- 29:20Speaker 10: I don't think even if they were to get five
- 29:22Speaker 10: six games back or seven games back in the deadline,
- 29:25Speaker 10: I don't think there's any panic here. And I also
- 29:27Speaker 10: think too, we're going to get Jose back. We're going
- 29:30Speaker 10: to get these guys back. You know, you're gonna get
- 29:32Speaker 10: an influx of you know, maybe a Cooper Ingle who's
- 29:35Speaker 10: in Triple A raking right now. You could get, you know,
- 29:38Speaker 10: an influx the talent at the trade deadline. That kind
- 29:40Speaker 10: of gives this team of booths boost. But losing those
- 29:44Speaker 10: guys hurts. But I mean, I mean, do you look
- 29:47Speaker 10: at I mean, they're they're still playing pretty good baseball.
- 29:51Speaker 10: If you look at their statistics as a team and
- 29:54Speaker 10: their ability to score runs. They really haven't figured it
- 29:58Speaker 10: out yet. Travis Bizan I started off, he's struggled a
- 30:01Speaker 10: little bit.
- 30:01Speaker 8: So you got.
- 30:02Speaker 10: Everybody at the same time that's kind of either scuffling
- 30:04Speaker 10: with injury or scuffling with performance, and they're still right there.
- 30:07Speaker 10: So I think you know, all of us we know
- 30:10Speaker 10: that over a six month season, there is you know,
- 30:13Speaker 10: peaks and valleys for this season, and if you can
- 30:15Speaker 10: kind of weather those down times, man, when you get
- 30:18Speaker 10: on a heater, you just kind of go. And that's
- 30:20Speaker 10: what this team's done for the last few years, is
- 30:22Speaker 10: they've just kind of weather the storm, whether the storm,
- 30:24Speaker 10: whether the storm go on or run. And they're playing
- 30:26Speaker 10: in October.
- 30:28Speaker 7: Is there a way that this team misses the playoffs
- 30:32Speaker 7: this year and it's considered a unsuccessful season and not
- 30:37Speaker 7: an organizational standpoint, but in just baseball.
- 30:40Speaker 10: Standpoint, if they missed the playoffs, if these if they
- 30:46Speaker 10: don't get certain guys.
- 30:47Speaker 8: Back, if if some of these you know, fifteen day ils.
- 30:50Speaker 10: Turn into forty days or forty five days, or Jose
- 30:53Speaker 10: doesn't bounce back, you potentially, you know, because you can
- 30:57Speaker 10: only overcome so much.
- 30:58Speaker 8: You can't you know, you can't overcome the d L.
- 31:00Speaker 10: There's only a couple of teams in baseball that can
- 31:02Speaker 10: do that because they have the resources.
- 31:04Speaker 8: Cleveland is in one of them.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Why not make some trades, Cody.
- 31:10Speaker 10: I mean, they can't, they definitely can't. They definitely can
- 31:13Speaker 10: make some trades. I mean, like I said earlier, I
- 31:15Speaker 10: think Taylor Worred great fit. I think he would be
- 31:18Speaker 10: a great fit for the team. I think if we're
- 31:21Speaker 10: looking at how Cleveland has approached the deadline, historically, there's
- 31:25Speaker 10: always an eye on the future, and so I think
- 31:27Speaker 10: a guy like Joe Adell could be a fit, you know.
- 31:31Speaker 10: And there's also there's some whispers about Freddy Peralta. You know,
- 31:34Speaker 10: you add him into the rotation. You're able to take
- 31:36Speaker 10: a guy like a slave Seconi or somebody and you're
- 31:40Speaker 10: you put them in the bullpen and and now you know.
- 31:42Speaker 8: You're you're basically not addressing the offense.
- 31:47Speaker 10: But it's a net positive because we're just gonna get
- 31:49Speaker 10: even better at run, you know, keep runs off the board.
- 31:53Speaker 7: All right, Cody, So I've been waiting for you to
- 31:56Speaker 7: be on the show. I saw you were on KP's show.
- 31:59Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 31:59Speaker 7: You have to go back to twenty seventeen when we
- 32:02Speaker 7: were in spring training together, okay, me, you and Luke
- 32:06Speaker 7: Carlin were over at your house and we were having
- 32:08Speaker 7: some we were having some whiskey, okay, yeah, and you
- 32:14Speaker 7: do you remember the bet that you made with Luke
- 32:16Speaker 7: and I.
- 32:18Speaker 2: Because you had him.
- 32:20Speaker 8: It was about Jose Ramirez, right.
- 32:22Speaker 4: Jose Ramirez versus Carlos.
- 32:25Speaker 7: No what No, Jose Ramirez versus Jason Kipness because Josey
- 32:30Speaker 7: had just signed just signed his deal, and you said,
- 32:34Speaker 7: Jason Kidness is going to have a better career than
- 32:37Speaker 7: Jose Ramirez and Luke And I said, huh, what did
- 32:41Speaker 7: you bet?
- 32:42Speaker 8: I think you you were way too deep. You didn't
- 32:47Speaker 8: say that.
- 32:48Speaker 7: You text after this and we are still waiting to
- 32:51Speaker 7: see our very expensive bottle of whatever twenty five years
- 32:55Speaker 7: or older you're going to send to us.
- 32:57Speaker 8: Hey, I'll send it to you regardless. I didn't say that.
- 33:03Speaker 4: I'm just saying I'm not a liar. You know.
- 33:06Speaker 8: You know what I think?
- 33:07Speaker 10: You know that the conversation every time I'm up in Cleveland,
- 33:10Speaker 10: you know, because you know, you look at the team
- 33:12Speaker 10: last year, You're like, like Jose, like he's just chasing
- 33:16Speaker 10: down like these legendary records, right. I think he's like
- 33:18Speaker 10: he's got the most games played in the history. Now,
- 33:20Speaker 10: I think he's like third in Homer's second double second hits.
- 33:24Speaker 10: I mean, you just look at it and you go
- 33:26Speaker 10: back to like that twenty sixteen and seven he was
- 33:29Speaker 10: the opening day left fielder in twenty sixteen. So I
- 33:33Speaker 10: mean you think about like he was considered like a
- 33:36Speaker 10: utility player that is probably gonna end up being a
- 33:39Speaker 10: first ballot Hall of Famer. So I you know, yeah,
- 33:43Speaker 10: you guys can call me out all you want, but
- 33:45Speaker 10: I don't think anybody saw what he's doing right now.
- 33:49Speaker 4: Luke and I did.
- 33:50Speaker 7: That's what we're arguing with you.
- 33:52Speaker 4: Maybe okay, that's better than no, he didn't say it, Okay.
- 33:58Speaker 8: Maybe I mean he figured it out.
- 34:02Speaker 10: And then dude, he is so good man like, he
- 34:05Speaker 10: is so good and I think you guys can just
- 34:07Speaker 10: speak to this too, like his ability just to like
- 34:10Speaker 10: answer the bell on a daily basis, and I mean
- 34:13Speaker 10: for a long time. You know, he it's not like
- 34:15Speaker 10: he's doing it with you know, a ton of like
- 34:18Speaker 10: big boppers that cover him. Like when we went and
- 34:20Speaker 10: got Edwin and Carrossion in twenty and seventeen, Jose was
- 34:25Speaker 10: his protection. He hasn't had a Jose hitting behind him
- 34:30Speaker 10: or an Edwin hitting behind him.
- 34:31Speaker 8: He's been putting up these numbers, you know, you know,
- 34:34Speaker 8: he's at Kwan in front. He's had you know, some
- 34:36Speaker 8: some good players behind him.
- 34:38Speaker 10: But he hasn't had like a like a dog behind him,
- 34:41Speaker 10: just kind of making sure that this guy gets multiple
- 34:43Speaker 10: pitch to hit every night.
- 34:45Speaker 4: You probably thought to be a better player.
- 34:47Speaker 8: Than j He you don't dog Lonnie, don't dog my boy.
- 34:51Speaker 8: Lni shis inhle.
- 34:53Speaker 7: You you see see see I know it. I know
- 34:55Speaker 7: I'll be looking for looking for it in the mail.
- 34:59Speaker 8: Let me know, send me an address.
- 35:01Speaker 9: Take care of you, Cody, thank you so much for
- 35:05Speaker 9: swinging by. Really appreciate it. Great ball talk with you
- 35:08Speaker 9: and kiddo in the back did great.
- 35:10Speaker 8: Yeah, thanks, thank you guys. I appreciate it. Man. Let
- 35:12Speaker 8: me know.
- 35:13Speaker 2: Yeah, that's good. Cheers.
- 35:16Speaker 8: That's Cody Allen all right, see you guys,
