- 0:00Speaker 1: Off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Okay, here we go.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Where the plays get broken down and science gets denied.
- 0:07Speaker 3: Dude, they said I got to come off the bench.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Hour two of Off the Bench, live from the Raising
- 0:12Speaker 1: Cane Studio.
- 0:51Speaker 4: All right, welcome back in.
- 0:52Speaker 5: Hour number two of OTV here live from the Raising
- 0:56Speaker 5: Cane Studio. Jake Flynn, Alondra, and Tay-Tay, the Wolfpack, all
- 0:59Speaker 5: here with you. As we've talked about, LSU is going
- 1:02Speaker 5: to be off this weekend. So what does week number
- 1:05Speaker 5: nine in the college football world look like without the
- 1:07Speaker 5: Tigers being on the schedule?
- 1:10Speaker 4: Because, look, you're going to have some off time. So
- 1:12Speaker 4: what are you going to do?
- 1:12Speaker 5: You're going to watch more college football. So you're asking yourself, okay, great.
- 1:16Speaker 5: Does that mean we've got some barn burners? Does that
- 1:19Speaker 5: mean we have some games that are going to move
- 1:21Speaker 5: the needle?
- 1:23Speaker 4: Eh, eh, not really. Not really.
- 1:29Speaker 5: Ranked on ranked matchups right now, you've got number 22, Arizona,
- 1:33Speaker 5: and number 13, Texas Tech.
- 1:36Speaker 4: You've got number 17, Florida, and number three, Georgia. That's
- 1:42Speaker 4: the list. That is the list. It is not exactly,
- 1:46Speaker 4: you know, the who's who of who's playing each other.
- 1:50Speaker 4: Some other games involving SEC teams that you'll be paying
- 1:54Speaker 4: attention to. The Auburn Tigers traveling to Oxford to take
- 1:58Speaker 4: on the number 12 Ole Miss Rebels.
- 2:01Speaker 6: They had the chance to do the funniest thing ever.
- 2:03Speaker 7: Yeah, really. Keelan Russell.
- 2:04Speaker 8: I mean, Keelan Russell, Jesus. Kawan Lacey not playing in
- 2:07Speaker 8: that game. So that's the game.
- 2:10Speaker 6: I'm going to hate watch that so hard.
- 2:12Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm just watching this. That's going to be a
- 2:15Speaker 7: good game, I feel like. How does Ole Miss handle
- 2:17Speaker 7: getting beat on the road? Auburn, clearly a better road
- 2:20Speaker 7: team than a home team. It's going to be a
- 2:24Speaker 7: fun one.
- 2:26Speaker 6: No bell cow.
- 2:28Speaker 7: No bell cow. Classic bell cow.
- 2:31Speaker 4: What's wrong with the bell cow?
- 2:38Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 2:39Speaker 7: I feel like we talked about that recently on the show.
- 2:41Speaker 6: Because you were like, why is it called a bell cow?
- 2:44Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 2:45Speaker 7: See, I got there. We've had a lot of conversations.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Yes.
- 2:49Speaker 7: Sometimes they're tough to remember.
- 2:51Speaker 4: That's what we do on a three-hour radio show, bud.
- 2:52Speaker 10: A random one that is maybe a little interesting, but
- 2:56Speaker 10: hear me out. I'm not even trying to be funny.
- 3:00Speaker 10: Baylor at UCF. They just fired their head coach. UCF
- 3:03Speaker 10: coming off a big win. Only a one-and-a-half point favorite, though.
- 3:08Speaker 7: And a real bump. Real thing. It is a real thing.
- 3:11Speaker 7: That's a good uniform matchup, too.
- 3:12Speaker 4: Oh, it is.
- 3:13Speaker 7: One day Miranda.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Rip.
- 3:18Speaker 2: I know.
- 3:19Speaker 4: Ripped our guy, Dave.
- 3:21Speaker 6: He'll find something.
- 3:23Speaker 8: I like Minnesota-Indiana this week. That's a sneaky matchup. Indiana 7-1.
- 3:28Speaker 8: They really haven't looked impressive. Minnesota's quietly 5-2. That's actually
- 3:33Speaker 8: not a bad matchup.
- 3:38Speaker 5: I mean, you've got Ohio State traveling to USC. USC
- 3:41Speaker 5: just got beat up by Wisconsin.
- 3:43Speaker 7: They did.
- 3:44Speaker 5: Miami, who doesn't play literally anybody, traveling to Chapel Hill
- 3:48Speaker 5: to take on.
- 3:49Speaker 4: UNC.
- 3:50Speaker 7: Greatest NFL coach ever?
- 3:52Speaker 4: I don't think Unk's ready for that one.
- 3:57Speaker 6: 14.5 point favorite on the road is really funny.
- 3:59Speaker 7: Florida versus Georgia. This just feels like a game that
- 4:02Speaker 7: Florida could win by 20. I don't know. But then
- 4:04Speaker 7: they would just lose next week to Vanderbilt.
- 4:08Speaker 10: Florida-Georgia game makes me want to roll my windows down
- 4:11Speaker 10: and what is it?
- 4:12Speaker 2: Groove?
- 4:13Speaker 4: Groove.
- 4:15Speaker 7: I think so.
- 4:15Speaker 6: Down a back road?
- 4:17Speaker 4: Makes me want to take a back road. All the
- 4:20Speaker 4: country songs, Laundrie.
- 4:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:23Speaker 5: It's just not what you want for your team being
- 4:27Speaker 5: on the bye week. Can Auburn do anything against Ole Miss?
- 4:34Speaker 5: Not that team I saw last week. What can you
- 4:38Speaker 5: do there?
- 4:39Speaker 4: Florida, Georgia, maybe. Because we don't know who Florida is.
- 4:42Speaker 7: That's what I'm saying. They could win this by 20,
- 4:46Speaker 7: and I don't think it'd shock anybody.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:55Speaker 4: Can I interest you in number six Utah and Cincinnati?
- 4:58Speaker 7: Yeah. I was actually just about to bring that one up. J.C.
- 5:00Speaker 3: French. J.C.
- 5:02Speaker 8: French, a quarterback for Cincinnati. He has been good all
- 5:05Speaker 8: year long. That game last week, Cincinnati was in control
- 5:09Speaker 8: of that game the entire time against Tech.
- 5:13Speaker 7: All right.
- 5:13Speaker 4: Hell yeah.
- 5:15Speaker 7: Hell yeah.
- 5:16Speaker 4: Hell yeah, brother. I mean, everybody is going to be
- 5:22Speaker 4: locked in on Nevada and UCLA. No doubt. Are you
- 5:27Speaker 4: kidding me? 315 on the Big Ten Network?
- 5:29Speaker 7: 22.5 points spread. There's a Big Ten Network?
- 5:36Speaker 4: There is. There is a Big Ten Network.
- 5:38Speaker 7: Does anybody in the country have an easier path to
- 5:42Speaker 7: the playoffs than UCLA?
- 5:46Speaker 4: Their remaining schedule is Nevada at Minnesota, Illinois at Michigan,
- 5:53Speaker 4: and USC at home.
- 5:54Speaker 7: So no. Not one of those teams has a little
- 5:56Speaker 7: number by their name.
- 5:58Speaker 9: No.
- 5:59Speaker 5: The only team that they will have faced that was
- 6:02Speaker 5: ranked is number 13, Oregon, who is no longer ranked.
- 6:08Speaker 7: They took care of business. 17-15. Weird score.
- 6:11Speaker 6: Very weird score.
- 6:12Speaker 7: 17-15. Don't see that one a lot.
- 6:13Speaker 6: Is that Skorigami? Probably not.
- 6:16Speaker 7: Are there any Skorigamis in college football left? Probably not
- 6:19Speaker 7: because there's so many teams. Can't be, right?
- 6:22Speaker 6: Can't be.
- 6:25Speaker 7: Looks like a job for Claude.
- 6:27Speaker 6: 17-15 is a weird one, though. Ask Claude.
- 6:34Speaker 5: In the rankings, since we didn't do this yesterday, number
- 6:38Speaker 5: one team in the country, still Miami, 59 first-place votes.
- 6:42Speaker 5: Ohio State number two in the country with 10 first-place votes,
- 6:46Speaker 5: followed by number three, Georgia, number four, Indiana, number five.
- 6:50Speaker 4: Notre Dame.
- 6:51Speaker 5: Number six, Utah, with a first-place vote. Number seven, UCLA.
- 6:55Speaker 5: Number eight, BYU. Number nine, Kentucky. And number 10, Alabama.
- 7:00Speaker 5: LSU comes in at number 15 in the AP poll.
- 7:03Speaker 5: And number 13 in the coaches poll. So I guess,
- 7:09Speaker 5: you know, if there was a way... for us to
- 7:12Speaker 5: be able to decide who was better, number five Notre
- 7:16Speaker 5: Dame or number eight BYU. There was only a way
- 7:19Speaker 5: for us to get them on the field at the
- 7:21Speaker 5: same time and play each other to decide which one
- 7:24Speaker 5: of those teams was better.
- 7:25Speaker 7: That'd be weird. It's tough to do, Jake. It's true.
- 7:28Speaker 7: You're asking too much.
- 7:29Speaker 4: I know.
- 7:31Speaker 7: You're right.
- 7:33Speaker 4: But if there was, you know what I'm saying?
- 7:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:35Speaker 4: There was a way to decide which one of those teams.
- 7:37Speaker 7: That'd be sweet.
- 7:37Speaker 8: Because then you could just see who scored more points.
- 7:41Speaker 8: And then that team would be ranked higher.
- 7:42Speaker 7: There'd have to be a whole room or building full
- 7:46Speaker 7: of real adults that would decide that.
- 7:52Speaker 4: 10 through 20 right now.
- 7:54Speaker 5: I mentioned Alabama's number 10. Texas is number 11. Ole
- 7:57Speaker 5: Miss is 12. Texas Tech's 13.
- 7:59Speaker 4: Wake Forest is 14.
- 8:00Speaker 7: LSU, 15.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Tennessee, 16.
- 8:00Speaker 10: Florida, 17.
- 8:01Speaker 7: Houston, 18.
- 8:01Speaker 4: SMU, number 19.
- 8:01Speaker 5: And Boise State, 10. Comes in at number 20. So
- 8:11Speaker 5: still left on your schedule for LSU is going to
- 8:13Speaker 5: be number 10, Alabama, number 11, Texas, number 16, Tennessee,
- 8:18Speaker 5: and then you've got Arkansas.
- 8:21Speaker 4: They're not ranked, in case you're wondering.
- 8:23Speaker 7: Arkansas?
- 8:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:24Speaker 8: I bet they were like at the bottom with like
- 8:26Speaker 8: others receiving votes.
- 8:28Speaker 4: Almost, almost. Not quite there yet.
- 8:31Speaker 6: No kidding.
- 8:32Speaker 7: Give me a shot. Anybody Navy over Notre Dame? Anybody? Anybody?
- 8:38Speaker 4: No, Navy's not good this year.
- 8:40Speaker 7: Yeah. Neither is Notre Dame.
- 8:44Speaker 8: Yeah, but, like, Navy's, like, they're 2-5 right now. To
- 8:48Speaker 8: your point, though, like, normally Navy does give that a game.
- 8:51Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 8:52Speaker 8: Normally that is a tight one. I just don't see
- 8:55Speaker 8: it this year.
- 8:55Speaker 3: Fine.
- 8:57Speaker 7: Y'all been watching a lot of Navy?
- 8:59Speaker 4: I found myself watching, like, three Navy games.
- 9:01Speaker 7: I think I saw, like, their opening game.
- 9:03Speaker 4: That's all I've seen.
- 9:05Speaker 7: In fairness.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Sorry.
- 9:06Speaker 7: But, I mean, I just.
- 9:08Speaker 8: I know they don't have the toughest schedule, and they're 2-5,
- 9:10Speaker 8: so I'm just going to assume that they're not very good.
- 9:12Speaker 4: Do y'all have a problem with....
- 9:14Speaker 6: There's a lot I have a problem with.
- 9:16Speaker 5: Well, like a team like Indiana, who they've played one
- 9:19Speaker 5: good team, and they lost to that team.
- 9:20Speaker 4: It was a close game, but they've played one good team.
- 9:22Speaker 5: Their wins are against North Texas, Howard, Western Kentucky, Northwestern, Rutgers, Nebraska, Michigan.
- 9:30Speaker 6: Yeah, and they're like.
- 9:31Speaker 7: Yeah, they have one ranked win. Number four against Northwestern.
- 9:33Speaker 5: And they get the benefit of the doubt. Look, they
- 9:35Speaker 5: won the national championship, and same thing for Notre Dame. Like,
- 9:38Speaker 5: why are they getting– like, Notre Dame does not have
- 9:40Speaker 5: a ranked victory. The team that they've played in BYU
- 9:44Speaker 5: beat them, the ranked team that they played. So I
- 9:47Speaker 5: just– I guess I just– I don't understand why we
- 9:50Speaker 5: continue to do this. Like, why are both those teams
- 9:53Speaker 5: ahead of UCLA even? Like, if they got a loss, UCLA,
- 9:57Speaker 5: they got one ranked win too. Just, you know, Notre
- 9:59Speaker 5: Dame didn't have any. They don't have any. And they're
- 10:01Speaker 5: ranked ahead of them? Because we think they could beat them. Oh,
- 10:04Speaker 5: you think?
- 10:05Speaker 7: But, like, what are you basing that on?
- 10:07Speaker 4: UCLA's in the Big Ten.
- 10:08Speaker 8: Yeah, that's such a subjective, like, oh, it's just our opinion.
- 10:11Speaker 8: But you're not basing it off of anything.
- 10:13Speaker 10: Jake, your problem is that you're trying to add logic
- 10:15Speaker 10: to this list, and there's just not.
- 10:16Speaker 7: Well, let's put our money where our mouth is, people,
- 10:19Speaker 7: and let's make an OTB top 25. Okay.
- 10:21Speaker 4: Like an actual what it should be?
- 10:25Speaker 7: Like an actual what it should be.
- 10:30Speaker 3: Okay.
- 10:31Speaker 4: All right, we can start that during the breaks.
- 10:32Speaker 6: We did that last year.
- 10:33Speaker 4: We did.
- 10:34Speaker 7: Oh, and everybody got to pick one. Yeah, we did
- 10:37Speaker 7: the preseason event.
- 10:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:42Speaker 7: Yeah, because, I mean, it is fun to yell at
- 10:46Speaker 7: the rankings and make comparative, because there's some obvious things, right?
- 10:50Speaker 7: There's some common sense things. But it's also pretty, when
- 10:58Speaker 7: the season's as crazy as it is, and you've got
- 10:59Speaker 7: the results that it is now, like that you have now,
- 11:01Speaker 7: and at this point in the season, because, like, at
- 11:04Speaker 7: what point do you stop looking at head-to-head matchups?
- 11:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:07Speaker 7: And how many losses over... or override a head-to-head matchup,
- 11:14Speaker 7: common opponents. There's a lot of things that don't make sense,
- 11:17Speaker 7: but it is a tough job. It sounds like a
- 11:19Speaker 7: job that we're up to.
- 11:20Speaker 6: Are you bootlicking the committee right now? Are you bootlicking
- 11:23Speaker 6: the committee right now?
- 11:24Speaker 7: It feels like it. No, I'm trying to set up
- 11:26Speaker 7: how great our list is going to be.
- 11:28Speaker 4: You should move to Dallas and go hang out with
- 11:30Speaker 4: them in that hotel they hang out at.
- 11:32Speaker 6: You go hang your hat.
- 11:33Speaker 7: No, I'm not taking my hat off. You can't get
- 11:37Speaker 7: in that. I wouldn't be able to.
- 11:38Speaker 6: Okay.
- 11:39Speaker 3: Well.
- 11:40Speaker 6: Ours will be sick only because, like, it's ours.
- 11:42Speaker 7: Because it's ours and it's fact. If you can't take
- 11:45Speaker 7: the hat off, though, buddy. LSU, number one.
- 11:48Speaker 6: I'm not taking the hat off.
- 11:52Speaker 7: I swear to God, if anybody says Notre Dame in
- 11:54Speaker 7: the top 25.
- 11:55Speaker 4: My high can't be in this ranking.
- 11:58Speaker 6: Sponsored by my high.
- 11:59Speaker 7: It is sponsored by my high. Duh.
- 12:00Speaker 4: Everything's sponsored by my high.
- 12:03Speaker 2: All right.
- 12:03Speaker 5: Well, I guess we'll start that process when we come back.
- 12:06Speaker 7: Don't sound too excited, Jake. I guess we'll start that.
- 12:15Speaker 4: We didn't plan on it. I guess we will.
- 12:17Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 12:17Speaker 4: All right, before we do that, I want to tell
- 12:19Speaker 4: you about our friends over at GoTommies. G-E-A-U-S. Tommies with
- 12:24Speaker 4: a Y dot com. Tommies Windows, Doors, and Siding.
- 12:26Speaker 5: They've been in the game for a very long time.
- 12:29Speaker 5: And since they've been in the game, since they started
- 12:31Speaker 5: the business, well, guess what they do?
- 12:33Speaker 4: They stack awards. A & G Super Service Awards.
- 12:36Speaker 5: Every year since 2016, best windows in the Advocate in 2025.
- 12:40Speaker 4: That went to Tommy and the team. They can also
- 12:42Speaker 4: do gutters for you as well. Go to the website,
- 12:44Speaker 4: see their custom projects. Remember that they can do a
- 12:47Speaker 4: little bit of everything over there.
- 12:48Speaker 5: So if you have a job and you're like, man,
- 12:50Speaker 5: I just, I don't know. I don't know if they
- 12:52Speaker 5: can customize this project. Maybe it's a little different. And no,
- 12:55Speaker 5: trust me when I say have Tommy and the team
- 12:57Speaker 5: come out, look at your space. You're going to change
- 12:59Speaker 5: your space. You'll be blown away. Go tommys.com. More OTB
- 13:02Speaker 5: when we come back here live from the Raising Cane Studio.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Off the Bench.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn, presented
- 13:22Speaker 1: by Community Steel.
- 13:23Speaker 3: I never meant to call you a pain. I only want.
- 13:37Speaker 9: To see you laughing.
- 13:38Speaker 3: I only want.
- 13:39Speaker 9: To see you laughing in the purple rain. Purple rain.
- 13:52Speaker 9: Purple rain.
- 13:54Speaker 10: All right.
- 13:55Speaker 4: Welcome back in.
- 13:55Speaker 5: A little OTB here on a Tuesday morning.
- 14:02Speaker 7: Purple rain. Feeling it.
- 14:07Speaker 4: All right, so this is not our top 25, but
- 14:11Speaker 4: I did ask AI. I was like, hey, all right,
- 14:13Speaker 4: give me an actual resume.
- 14:15Speaker 5: I said, take out preseason narratives and big brands and
- 14:18Speaker 5: give me a resume building top 25. So here's how
- 14:23Speaker 5: the top 10 would look according to AI. Miami 1,
- 14:28Speaker 5: UCLA 2, Utah 3, Kentucky 4, Indiana 5, Ohio State 6, BYU, seven.
- 14:38Speaker 4: Texas, number eight. Notre Dame, number nine.
- 14:42Speaker 5: And Georgia, number 10. They list LSU all the way
- 14:46Speaker 5: down at number 17. It says six wins and strong
- 14:50Speaker 5: overall performance, but losses to Kentucky at Ole Miss keep
- 14:53Speaker 5: the Tigers behind both.
- 14:56Speaker 7: Okay. That's more fair.
- 14:58Speaker 4: AI, you're dumb-dumb. Because you still have Notre Dame, number nine.
- 15:02Speaker 4: What have they done to be number nine?
- 15:04Speaker 7: See? AI can't even get over it. What is.
- 15:07Speaker 5: What has Miami done? And I think Miami's good. I
- 15:11Speaker 5: really do. I think Miami's a good football team. But
- 15:14Speaker 5: what have they done to be number one? Their best
- 15:18Speaker 5: win is against Wake Forest. I think Wake's a good team.
- 15:23Speaker 5: Wake would catch a lot of fades in the SEC.
- 15:27Speaker 4: A lot of them.
- 15:28Speaker 7: That's a friends and family game in the SEC. Yeah.
- 15:33Speaker 5: UCLA's got wins against Wisconsin and Oregon. They've got a
- 15:36Speaker 5: better resume than Miami.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:44Speaker 7: Okay, so, like, I'm with you, and I agree with
- 15:47Speaker 7: most of what you're saying and hinting at. But, like,
- 15:52Speaker 7: if you're in a conference, right, I think you get
- 15:58Speaker 7: way more benefit if you have a weaker schedule because... Sure,
- 16:02Speaker 7: you can schedule opponents, and they have. They've scheduled Notre Dame.
- 16:05Speaker 7: I guess they're forced. You told me they're forced to
- 16:07Speaker 7: schedule Notre Dame.
- 16:07Speaker 4: It's part of the ACC scheduling. They have to. They're non-conference.
- 16:11Speaker 7: I just thought it was a Miami-Notre Dame thing.
- 16:15Speaker 5: Notre Dame has to play six ACC games every year.
- 16:19Speaker 5: So you're non-con for Miami outside of that, Florida A
- 16:23Speaker 5: & M.
- 16:24Speaker 7: And Central Michigan. But if you're in a conference... I mean,
- 16:32Speaker 7: you can't control, at least a power four cover, you
- 16:35Speaker 7: can't control how good or bad the other teams at
- 16:39Speaker 7: your conferences are going to be. So, like, for Miami,
- 16:43Speaker 7: I don't think you can penalize them. They've looked dominant.
- 16:46Speaker 7: They've looked really good. Who'd they almost lose to, though?
- 16:49Speaker 4: Florida State. Florida State.
- 16:51Speaker 7: Overtime. They should get knocked for that one. They should
- 16:55Speaker 7: get knocked for that one a little bit. UCLA, I mean,
- 16:59Speaker 7: that's just a brutal schedule. That's terrible. They didn't know
- 17:04Speaker 7: Oregon was not going to be ranked, though. So I
- 17:08Speaker 7: hear your argument, and I agree with it. But, I mean,
- 17:13Speaker 7: are you going to put them like– where would you
- 17:16Speaker 7: put Miami, UCLA?
- 17:17Speaker 4: I mean, technically, UCLA has a better resume.
- 17:26Speaker 3: Okay.
- 17:27Speaker 4: Really, my argument's not even going to be Miami at
- 17:31Speaker 4: the top.
- 17:32Speaker 5: I know they haven't played anybody. Now, I do think
- 17:33Speaker 5: they are the part of a number one type team. Really,
- 17:38Speaker 5: the problem I have is to still.
- 17:42Speaker 4: Have Indiana at number five and to have Notre Dame
- 17:46Speaker 4: at number nine. Texas at number eight, I'm like, okay.
- 17:51Speaker 4: Why would Georgia not be at number eight?
- 17:57Speaker 7: See, I did the same thing over here. I said
- 18:00Speaker 7: take no previous polls. No preseason. No previous polls. I
- 18:06Speaker 7: want it based off of roster, schedule, your record, strength
- 18:11Speaker 7: of schedule, quality wins, quality losses, common opponent variables, and
- 18:16Speaker 7: any other valuable metric. Number one, Miami. Two, Ohio State. Three, Indiana.
- 18:26Speaker 4: Four, Georgia.
- 18:28Speaker 7: Five, UCLA, which is better. Six, BYU. Seven, Notre Dame.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Eight.
- 18:36Speaker 7: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Eight, Texas. Nine, Tennessee. Ten.
- 18:44Speaker 7: This is terrible.
- 18:45Speaker 4: Well, you know what? Did you have proofread this?
- 18:47Speaker 7: No, I figured it out.
- 18:48Speaker 8: What that list is doing, I know what you told
- 18:50Speaker 8: it to do. It's only considering who they lost to.
- 18:52Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 18:53Speaker 4: It's like, look at Texas.
- 18:54Speaker 8: Texas has two losses, but... They're two teams that people
- 18:58Speaker 8: think are really good.
- 18:59Speaker 7: I just told Clyde this is a terrible list.
- 19:02Speaker 4: You're going to talk trash to it. Let's see how
- 19:03Speaker 4: that goes. Let's go around the room. Who's the best
- 19:09Speaker 4: team in the country?
- 19:20Speaker 5: I have no problem saying Miami until they get beat.
- 19:22Speaker 7: I'm just saying if we're going off resumes. I think
- 19:24Speaker 7: they're a I don't think you can go off resumes completely.
- 19:28Speaker 7: You got to go off a little bit of everything.
- 19:29Speaker 7: I would say if I was voting right now, I'd
- 19:31Speaker 7: say Miami number one. Do I think they're the best
- 19:34Speaker 7: in the country? No, I don't. But I think you
- 19:39Speaker 7: got to rank him number one.
- 19:42Speaker 4: All right, Alondra.
- 19:45Speaker 9: Number one. one I'm.
- 19:53Speaker 10: Gonna go with I know that they just lost to
- 20:00Speaker 10: UCF but like.
- 20:02Speaker 5: BYU does have if you want to say the best
- 20:04Speaker 5: win of any team I.
- 20:06Speaker 6: Mean they beat number two Notre Dame yeah.
- 20:13Speaker 5: I know the whole point is like Taylor, I could
- 20:15Speaker 5: ask you and you probably have to think about it.
- 20:16Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 20:17Speaker 8: Well, cause it's hard for me because I want to
- 20:20Speaker 8: say Ohio state, but without Julian saying, I don't know
- 20:22Speaker 8: what that team looks like. Cause like honestly, Ohio state,
- 20:25Speaker 8: you got to win over Indiana. Who's the top 10 team.
- 20:28Speaker 8: They got a double digit win over Iowa. Who's five
- 20:30Speaker 8: and two. I still think it's pretty good. Their only
- 20:32Speaker 8: loss is a one point loss on the road to Texas.
- 20:35Speaker 4: And they were up, what, 20-3 in that game?
- 20:36Speaker 8: Yeah, and I think their resume actually stacks up. The
- 20:39Speaker 8: problem is, without Julian saying it, I don't know. I
- 20:41Speaker 8: think Miami, on paper, is probably the most talented team. But, again,
- 20:44Speaker 8: they haven't done anything. So, like, it really is a
- 20:46Speaker 8: huge question mark right now.
- 20:48Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 20:53Speaker 10: Y'all might laugh, but, like, taking schedule– if I'm taking, like,
- 20:57Speaker 10: scheduling and opponents into consideration, I'm like, these people have
- 21:02Speaker 10: probably the best wins– if it's considering how tough it is,
- 21:07Speaker 10: I feel like Kentucky deserves to be talked about a
- 21:12Speaker 10: little more than they are.
- 21:13Speaker 4: No, I agree with you.
- 21:14Speaker 10: I know that whatever you asked put it at four,
- 21:18Speaker 10: but they have some really good wins, and they're not
- 21:23Speaker 10: the most flashy elite team ever, but they're a good
- 21:27Speaker 10: team that's playing well.
- 21:30Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 21:31Speaker 5: No, I'm with you on Kentucky needs to get more
- 21:32Speaker 5: love because it might not be pretty. It is certainly gritty.
- 21:36Speaker 5: And they got some really good wins. They got some good,
- 21:39Speaker 5: solid road wins.
- 21:39Speaker 7: It's just their loss was so one-sided.
- 21:42Speaker 4: That game, if you watched it, that game actually. It
- 21:45Speaker 4: was one half.
- 21:46Speaker 8: Not only that, that game was tight. Kentucky fumbled, I believe,
- 21:49Speaker 8: three times inside their own 30-yard line. It led to
- 21:52Speaker 8: 17 Alabama points.
- 21:54Speaker 6: And they've won every game since then.
- 21:55Speaker 7: They're going to get.
- 21:58Speaker 8: If they can manage these, if they can go two
- 22:00Speaker 8: and one the next three weeks, you got number 16, Tennessee.
- 22:04Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 22:04Speaker 8: You got number 17, Florida. You got number 23, Missouri.
- 22:07Speaker 8: You win two of those three, you're going to get
- 22:08Speaker 8: the respect you deserve.
- 22:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:10Speaker 7: Let me tell you this. If Florida wins against Georgia
- 22:12Speaker 7: this week, Florida's going to have the best wins in
- 22:15Speaker 7: the country.
- 22:16Speaker 6: That's true.
- 22:17Speaker 7: And then lopsided Ole Miss, a Texas, and a Georgia,
- 22:23Speaker 7: they will have the best wreck, like the best Best
- 22:29Speaker 7: entire schedule. I know they got two losses, and they're
- 22:32Speaker 7: just a weird team. I get it, but that'd be, what,
- 22:35Speaker 7: two teams that would rank number one at some point
- 22:37Speaker 7: in the year and another team that was number two?
- 22:40Speaker 7: What was Ole Miss's highest rank? I think six.
- 22:44Speaker 8: Yeah, I think right after LSU, they were up like
- 22:46Speaker 8: six or seven, somewhere in there.
- 22:48Speaker 7: What a wild year.
- 22:51Speaker 5: All right, let's go ahead and take a break. And

- 25:36Speaker 4: OTB mailbag.
- 25:39Speaker 3: I have this special delivery for Dr.
- 25:41Speaker 9: Bench.
- 25:41Speaker 4: And look, it is marked most urgent. We'll be writing
- 25:44Speaker 4: to you.
- 25:44Speaker 7: The internet.
- 25:46Speaker 2: What the f * * * is the internet?
- 26:05Speaker 4: Hashtag OTB mailbag. What is a past Halloween costume you
- 26:09Speaker 4: dressed as that would have gotten you in trouble today?
- 26:12Speaker 4: One year I was a ninja.
- 26:15Speaker 7: Nope.
- 26:18Speaker 4: You can imagine.
- 26:23Speaker 6: I don't think I ever dressed as anything like controversial.
- 26:27Speaker 7: I got one. I was a ghost.
- 26:30Speaker 8: I mean, I had full like white mask with the
- 26:32Speaker 8: eye holes poked out.
- 26:34Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:34Speaker 8: Looking back on it, you're like, that could be misinterpreted
- 26:36Speaker 8: as something else. I probably still got the picture somewhere
- 26:38Speaker 8: I could change.
- 26:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:40Speaker 4: We were the Sunset Acres Indians, and one year I
- 26:41Speaker 4: did a full Indian.
- 26:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:46Speaker 4: I mean.
- 26:46Speaker 7: I feel like I've done that. Is that bad? I
- 26:49Speaker 7: don't know.
- 26:50Speaker 4: I mean, sports teams have changed their names.
- 26:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:52Speaker 7: It's true.
- 26:53Speaker 6: I don't think I've ever done anything.
- 26:55Speaker 7: Yeah, no. I was, you know, I was on the
- 26:57Speaker 7: straight and narrow.
- 26:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:00Speaker 7: I'm trying to think of what all that. So Ninja Turtles, Ghostbusters,
- 27:04Speaker 7: Dead Ghost. Let's see. I'm trying to think of other
- 27:09Speaker 7: things I did. One time I was just like a demon.
- 27:13Speaker 6: Yeah, like I was always like basic.
- 27:14Speaker 7: When I started to become a teenager, I was like,
- 27:16Speaker 7: I'm going to be scared. I had one of those
- 27:17Speaker 7: demon masks that had the plastic and I had like
- 27:20Speaker 7: the heart valve pump. I mean, it would bleed. I
- 27:22Speaker 7: could put blood through it. I had that mask. I
- 27:26Speaker 7: think it was Scream one year.
- 27:27Speaker 6: Yeah, my brother had a Scream.
- 27:29Speaker 3: Ghostface.
- 27:29Speaker 6: Yeah, he had a Ghostface.
- 27:31Speaker 10: That had the blood pump thing.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:33Speaker 7: Yeah, that was sick.
- 27:36Speaker 9: Yeah, I don't know.
- 27:37Speaker 6: I was always like Dorothy.
- 27:37Speaker 7: You could get that at Claire's Boutique, I think.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:41Speaker 6: Like Dorothy, a rock star one year.
- 27:44Speaker 4: Who, Dorothy?
- 27:44Speaker 6: Yeah, it was Dorothy.
- 27:45Speaker 10: That was my favorite one because my grandma made the costume.
- 27:49Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 27:51Speaker 7: One year I wanted to be a blade of grass.
- 27:54Speaker 7: We couldn't find the costume, though.
- 27:56Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, I feel like that'd be easy to make.
- 28:00Speaker 7: I guess so. Yeah, you're right. Just like some poster board.
- 28:04Speaker 7: You know, cardboard wasn't as easy to find back then
- 28:07Speaker 7: as it is today.
- 28:08Speaker 6: Yeah, fair.
- 28:09Speaker 7: You know, it's like we take cardboard for granted, I
- 28:11Speaker 7: feel like now, because everybody's got a ton of it.
- 28:15Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 28:15Speaker 7: Because of Amazon, obviously.
- 28:16Speaker 6: So much cardboard.
- 28:17Speaker 7: But back in the day, like cardboard, like when you
- 28:19Speaker 7: got some cardboard, you're going to hold on to that
- 28:22Speaker 7: baby for a little while.
- 28:23Speaker 4: Fair enough.
- 28:24Speaker 7: Just in case you need to draw on something, need
- 28:26Speaker 7: to write, you got to make something. Y'all seen those
- 28:28Speaker 7: cardboard cutters, by the way? They're like a pair of scissors,
- 28:31Speaker 7: but they're like.
- 28:33Speaker 6: For cardboard?
- 28:34Speaker 7: But they got battery powered, and they cut cardboard perfectly.
- 28:39Speaker 7: And they're super easy to use. Yeah, go check them out.
- 28:41Speaker 7: Change your life.
- 28:42Speaker 5: Hashtag OTB mailbag. If you could change one thing about
- 28:45Speaker 5: your NFL career, what would it be? I probably would
- 28:53Speaker 5: have stayed in the city that I was playing in
- 28:57Speaker 5: during the entire offseason. I loved coming back to Baton Rouge,
- 29:03Speaker 5: but I felt like if you would have stayed there in.
- 29:06Speaker 4: The offseason and been able to be in the facility,
- 29:10Speaker 4: be in the building, it probably would have been a
- 29:12Speaker 4: better situation.
- 29:16Speaker 7: I try not to, and this is super stereotypical, but
- 29:19Speaker 7: it's honestly how I try to live. I try to
- 29:23Speaker 7: live with no regret. I try not to think back
- 29:25Speaker 7: on things and be like, man, I wish I would
- 29:26Speaker 7: have done this. There are very few things in life
- 29:29Speaker 7: that I can look back and be like, man, I
- 29:30Speaker 7: regret how I handled that situation or how I did that. Right.
- 29:35Speaker 7: And those are pretty like personal things. But like when
- 29:37Speaker 7: it comes to big, like how I approached, like I
- 29:39Speaker 7: know I worked hard. I worked as hard as I could.
- 29:42Speaker 4: Right.
- 29:42Speaker 7: I made a good career. I'm not going to say great,
- 29:45Speaker 7: but it was a good career. And it's a lot
- 29:47Speaker 7: of things I'm proud of. There's things that I wish
- 29:49Speaker 7: went differently. But if I had one regret, I would
- 29:51Speaker 7: just say I should have played better in Seattle. I
- 29:56Speaker 7: shouldn't have. We did this little golf event, like a
- 29:59Speaker 7: golf thing where the senior PGA tour was in Seattle.
- 30:03Speaker 7: This is like in the middle of training camp. There's
- 30:05Speaker 7: a lot of throws, right? And so they had some
- 30:08Speaker 7: senior PGA tour guys come to the facility. And after
- 30:11Speaker 7: a training camp practice, we did like this little special
- 30:14Speaker 7: for them on TV or whatever, where the quarterbacks took
- 30:17Speaker 7: them on and like shooting hoops, throwing a ball and
- 30:20Speaker 7: hitting golf ball. And so I was swinging a golf club, like,
- 30:24Speaker 7: on the practice field afterwards with these guys. And we
- 30:26Speaker 7: were hitting that like they put a flag, like, 50 yards.
- 30:29Speaker 4: Away or whatever.
- 30:30Speaker 7: Closest to the pin deal. And so I was swinging
- 30:32Speaker 7: a golf. And this was, like, dog days. Like, my
- 30:34Speaker 7: arm was tired. And then, like, that day after swinging, like,
- 30:37Speaker 7: I had knots all in my forearm. It was just
- 30:39Speaker 7: like my whole forearm balled up. And that's when I
- 30:41Speaker 7: started getting my tendonitis, which sucked. Which is not the
- 30:44Speaker 7: reason why I lost the job. Just want you all
- 30:46Speaker 7: to know that. No one is making excuses. I got tendonitis.
- 30:49Speaker 7: It affected me for a year. Because you were like,
- 30:50Speaker 7: watch this drive. It affected me bad that year, but
- 30:55Speaker 7: it was off-season when that was the worst.
- 30:57Speaker 4: It's more like situations you go to.
- 31:00Speaker 5: There's a handful of teams that if I would have
- 31:02Speaker 5: gone to that team, I would have been a running back,
- 31:03Speaker 5: not a fullback.
- 31:04Speaker 4: I always wondered what that would have turned out to
- 31:06Speaker 4: be like. But you can't control it. You got to
- 31:10Speaker 4: do what you got to do.
- 31:11Speaker 7: You can look back at any situation in life and, man,
- 31:13Speaker 7: I should have paid more attention there. I should have
- 31:15Speaker 7: put the attention to detail there. Man, now hindsight is 20-20.
- 31:18Speaker 7: I should have done this instead of that. But, like,
- 31:19Speaker 7: at the moment– I was doing everything I thought was
- 31:22Speaker 7: the right thing to do. All right.
- 31:25Speaker 4: Hashtag OTB mailbag. Do you think doing away with divisions
- 31:29Speaker 4: has had an outsized impact on scheduling? Missing the strongest
- 31:33Speaker 4: teams is a huge advantage with divisions. That wasn't possible.
- 31:37Speaker 4: I always hated division in school.
- 31:40Speaker 7: All right.
- 31:47Speaker 3: Fair.
- 31:48Speaker 6: Me too.
- 31:49Speaker 5: There's a scheduling imbalance for sure, but when you grow
- 31:53Speaker 5: to 16 teams.
- 31:54Speaker 4: 18 teams in some of these leagues.
- 31:56Speaker 8: Like UCLA. We were talking about them. They don't play
- 31:59Speaker 8: Ohio State. They don't play Indiana. They played Oregon, who
- 32:03Speaker 8: wound up not being as good, but they avoid those teams.
- 32:06Speaker 7: Who did we talk about before the season? Penn State.
- 32:07Speaker 8: Now, they wind up being trash and not nearly as good,
- 32:10Speaker 8: but they avoided all the big-time teams in the Big Ten.
- 32:13Speaker 7: So, yeah, there could be. It definitely makes a difference.
- 32:17Speaker 7: I mean, just look at it. We just listed off
- 32:19Speaker 7: UCLA's schedule.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:21Speaker 7: We're going to play one ranked team all season. So, yeah,
- 32:26Speaker 7: it makes a big difference.
- 32:27Speaker 6: I got a text.
- 32:28Speaker 9: Woo-hoo!
- 32:29Speaker 6: Hashtag OTV mailbag. Can we get hints on the foxhole costume?
- 32:33Speaker 7: We don't have one. Laundress probably originally was the best one.
- 32:39Speaker 7: Jake's was pretty good, too. But, like, y'all graduated so recently,
- 32:42Speaker 7: y'all would just be wearing what you're wearing today. That's
- 32:44Speaker 7: what I'm saying.
- 32:45Speaker 10: Like, I don't know what I would wear if I
- 32:46Speaker 10: dressed up as my, like, My high school flower crown.
- 32:50Speaker 7: I could test out the old letter jacket.
- 32:52Speaker 4: You're a flower crown?
- 32:52Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah. I'd be rocking the Letterman jacket.
- 32:54Speaker 10: I never was a flower crown girly, but that was
- 32:57Speaker 10: like the thing back then.
- 32:59Speaker 7: Should we do letter jacket costume? Just make it simple.
- 33:01Speaker 7: Do you have yours?
- 33:02Speaker 6: No, it's in Texas.
- 33:03Speaker 4: There's only one shipment away.
- 33:07Speaker 6: One shipment away. I guess I could. It's in the
- 33:10Speaker 6: garage somewhere.
- 33:11Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 33:14Speaker 7: Anyone see this honorable mention patch?
- 33:19Speaker 4: I don't have a high school letterman. I have an LSU.
- 33:21Speaker 7: See, that's the weirdest thing to me. As douchey as
- 33:27Speaker 7: y'all are, man. You would think. Y'all would have letter jackets.
- 33:30Speaker 7: Just kidding, man. Not you.
- 33:37Speaker 4: Buddy, we were thriving in high school. Don't take that offensive.
- 33:47Speaker 4: Hashtag go to be mailbag. What is your favorite Halloween candy?
- 33:52Speaker 7: I mean, I guess I'll go candy corn because it's
- 33:55Speaker 7: not around year round. Like Reese's Snickers. I love, but like,
- 33:59Speaker 7: it's not really Halloween candy. Yeah. That year round.
- 34:02Speaker 6: The pumpkin recess.
- 34:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:04Speaker 6: The pumpkin shape one.
- 34:06Speaker 7: Yeah. I mean, I guess I'd like an old school,
- 34:09Speaker 7: old school trick or treat. When, when I was back
- 34:11Speaker 7: in the day, trick or treating, running the roads.
- 34:13Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 34:13Speaker 7: I'll get it. Um, Word would get around to which
- 34:17Speaker 7: houses had Reese's.
- 34:18Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 34:18Speaker 7: That word would travel fast.
- 34:20Speaker 6: Because it was the best one.
- 34:24Speaker 7: I think a lot of the things that I associate
- 34:26Speaker 7: with Halloween candy, I don't even know if they exist anymore.
- 34:29Speaker 4: Like what?
- 34:31Speaker 7: Bottle caps. They're around. I think they're still around.
- 34:34Speaker 6: I think so.
- 34:34Speaker 4: I'm going to go candy corn.
- 34:36Speaker 7: Just black and orange candy. Yeah, that'd be my answer.
- 34:38Speaker 7: I love candy corn. I know what I'm talking about.
- 34:40Speaker 7: Black and orange candy.
- 34:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:42Speaker 4: It's where you get the strawberry candies.
- 34:43Speaker 7: I think a lot of that has been, there's been
- 34:45Speaker 7: so many things that over-commercialized, you know, the big box,
- 34:50Speaker 7: like the standard candy, and then like the minis that,
- 34:54Speaker 7: I don't think you see a lot of the traditional
- 34:56Speaker 7: old school. What was the old, like you'd get the,
- 34:58Speaker 7: like the, it was like Coke bottles, but they were gummies?
- 35:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:01Speaker 4: Coke bottle gummies, yeah.
- 35:02Speaker 7: You'd bite it, and you could. And then things that
- 35:04Speaker 7: was just like the plastic sheet that just had dots
- 35:05Speaker 7: on them, stuck to it. You'd peel it off the dot. Yeah,
- 35:09Speaker 7: I know too much. I love a candy necklace, too.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Really?
- 35:13Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 35:14Speaker 7: I mean, probably not anymore. I hadn't had one since
- 35:17Speaker 7: I was a child. But back in the day, you'd
- 35:19Speaker 7: pop that candy necklace on.
- 35:21Speaker 8: I was about to say, as a grown man walking
- 35:23Speaker 8: around with a candy necklace, it gives off a different
- 35:25Speaker 8: vibe than when you were a kid.
- 35:27Speaker 6: I would not recommend it.
- 35:28Speaker 7: What kind of vibe? It's like, I'm trying to, like,
- 35:31Speaker 7: Attract the children, which you don't want to do.
- 35:33Speaker 6: It's like a very Epstein vibe.
- 35:34Speaker 7: Yeah. You don't want to do that. Zesty.
- 35:36Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 35:36Speaker 8: As a kid, it's like he's having fun. As an adult,
- 35:38Speaker 8: it's like, hey, let's steer clear of this old man.
- 35:41Speaker 7: The guy eating his necklace. Yeah. Let's stay away from
- 35:44Speaker 7: that guy.
- 35:46Speaker 6: Hashtag OTV Melbag.
- 35:47Speaker 10: Do you think the Saints will move on with Kellen
- 35:49Speaker 10: Moore during or after the season?
- 35:52Speaker 6: Let's ask Kellen.
- 35:53Speaker 7: Let's ask Kellen.
- 35:54Speaker 2: I think it's fair to say we got to evaluate that.
- 35:57Speaker 3: Wow.
- 35:58Speaker 7: Wow. Okay.
- 35:59Speaker 6: That's crazy.
- 35:59Speaker 7: I didn't expect him to say that.
- 36:01Speaker 11: Really?
- 36:02Speaker 4: I guess fair say.
- 36:02Speaker 7: A little long answer by Kellen.
- 36:05Speaker 6: Let's see what he has to say. Let's see.
- 36:06Speaker 2: We just got to really dig in and solve this thing.
- 36:10Speaker 3: Wow.
- 36:11Speaker 7: Oh, my God. Are you serious?
- 36:12Speaker 6: I mean, true.
- 36:13Speaker 7: Is that real? Hey, Kellen, what do you think, if
- 36:16Speaker 7: you had to say, what's the top candy for Halloween?
- 36:20Speaker 2: I think it's fair to say we got to evaluate that.
- 36:25Speaker 4: Wow. Kellen, last one in the back here. Okay. Who
- 36:29Speaker 4: do you think should be the top team? In the
- 36:31Speaker 4: top 25 in college football.
- 36:32Speaker 2: I think it's fair to say we've got to evaluate that.
- 36:35Speaker 7: Okay.
- 36:36Speaker 6: All right.
- 36:37Speaker 3: Wow.
- 36:38Speaker 6: He's got a lot to say. So many opinions.
- 36:41Speaker 7: We can end the show. See you. We're answering some
- 36:44Speaker 7: questions today. Yeah. It is fair to say he's right.
- 36:50Speaker 4: He's not wrong.
- 36:52Speaker 6: Got to evaluate everything.
- 36:53Speaker 8: Do you want him to not evaluate, Matt?
- 36:58Speaker 7: As long as he's not emotional about it.
- 36:59Speaker 2: Right.
- 37:00Speaker 7: You don't want that.
- 37:01Speaker 8: If he's emotionless, not emotionally evaluated. Like when I heard
- 37:04Speaker 8: that answer, I was like, Kellen, calm down a little bit, bud.
- 37:08Speaker 8: Way too high energy here on a Tuesday.
- 37:10Speaker 7: He's a little hyper.
- 37:11Speaker 4: He does. Tuesday is the day though.
- 37:13Speaker 7: You think he's got ADHD? Yeah, I think so.
- 37:18Speaker 6: Probably just ADD. I don't have a lot of hyperactivity
- 37:23Speaker 6: from him.
- 37:25Speaker 7: What do you think is, should we ask Kellen if
- 37:28Speaker 7: he like, what, like, Do you have ADD or ADHD?
- 37:32Speaker 2: We just got to really dig in and solve this thing.
- 37:38Speaker 7: Fair.
- 37:38Speaker 4: Wow.
- 37:40Speaker 7: I'm really looking forward to having that forever.
- 37:47Speaker 6: There's only two I have right now. I'm sure there's
- 37:49Speaker 6: plenty more.
- 37:52Speaker 7: You don't even need to clip them. Just push play.
- 37:55Speaker 2: Right.
- 37:55Speaker 7: Just play it.
- 37:56Speaker 11: No, really.
- 37:56Speaker 7: Just load it up.
- 37:59Speaker 5: Inside the chat. This is from at Kellen Moore. Hashtag
- 38:02Speaker 5: ask the bench. Wrong segment, nerd.
- 38:04Speaker 4: Why does OTV suck eggs? Because we're out of shape. Well,
- 38:09Speaker 4: I'm just in shape.
- 38:11Speaker 6: Not in that much shape.
- 38:13Speaker 4: Yeah, you work out every day, though.
- 38:18Speaker 6: Back day yesterday.
- 38:19Speaker 3: Hell yeah.
- 38:21Speaker 6: Little back and biceps.
- 38:22Speaker 7: Hell yeah, brother. Oh, so as of, I think, 10 a.m.
- 38:27Speaker 3: Oh.
- 38:29Speaker 7: I think I'll officially.
- 38:30Speaker 6: Be a High Rocks athlete.
- 38:32Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 38:33Speaker 7: High Rocks 2.8. I think the sign up starts at 10.
- 38:36Speaker 7: Usually those things are sold out.
- 38:39Speaker 4: People are dying to work out.
- 38:42Speaker 7: It's shocking. It's just very trendy. The workouts are not fun.
- 38:47Speaker 3: No.
- 38:47Speaker 7: And training for it, it's even less fun. It's basically
- 38:51Speaker 7: you have to push yourself to the point of puking
- 38:53Speaker 7: every time.
- 38:53Speaker 6: Right.
- 38:55Speaker 7: And people love it.
- 38:58Speaker 2: They do love it.
- 38:59Speaker 7: I don't love it. I love the feeling afterwards. I
- 39:01Speaker 7: really do.
- 39:01Speaker 6: I know, afterwards is the best.
- 39:02Speaker 7: It's a great feeling. But I've never enjoyed working out, ever,
- 39:05Speaker 7: in my life.
- 39:07Speaker 6: It depends on the workout for me.
- 39:10Speaker 4: I fell into a runner's high like two years ago.
- 39:14Speaker 7: Well, three.
- 39:16Speaker 4: Right before Harlow was born and loved it. Yeah. Loved it.
- 39:19Speaker 4: Ran three miles a day, listened to my music, and
- 39:21Speaker 4: loved it.
- 39:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I know.
- 39:24Speaker 4: But I literally, like, if I wanted to do that.
- 39:27Speaker 5: Now, with the schedule with the five kids it'd have
- 39:30Speaker 5: to be before the show.
- 39:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 39:33Speaker 10: When I was training for it, I've not, like, I
- 39:37Speaker 10: very little where I was like, I'm enjoying this.
- 39:40Speaker 7: How should I go to be mailbag? What's the scariest
- 39:42Speaker 7: haunted house you've ever been to?
- 39:46Speaker 4: We used to do one.
- 39:47Speaker 6: The one here is not.
- 39:48Speaker 5: Speaking of the Sunset Acres Indians, we used to have a,
- 39:52Speaker 5: like at the school, that's what we played for, but
- 39:54Speaker 5: we had like an athletic clubhouse and the football team
- 39:57Speaker 5: would put one on to raise money for the football team.
- 39:59Speaker 4: And it was pretty scary. Like that. It was scary.
- 40:02Speaker 8: Mortuary in New Orleans is really good.
- 40:05Speaker 7: What's it called? The Mortuary. Okay. In New Orleans on
- 40:08Speaker 7: Canal Street. I don't go to haunted houses. Have y'all
- 40:12Speaker 7: been to the one? Y'all been to the 13th Gate?
- 40:13Speaker 10: Yeah, that one's not like, I mean, it's fun. The
- 40:17Speaker 10: scariest one I've been to is in Austin. It's called
- 40:19Speaker 10: House of Torment. I was terrified the first time I went,
- 40:22Speaker 10: but I also was like a lot younger.
- 40:24Speaker 7: Tormented.
- 40:25Speaker 6: I was tormented.
- 40:25Speaker 7: I went to one in Tyler growing up. I was
- 40:28Speaker 7: in seventh or eighth grade. It was at a movie
- 40:32Speaker 7: theater that had just gone out of business. It was scary.
- 40:35Speaker 7: I went with my crush at the time. She got
- 40:37Speaker 7: scared and she held my hand. It's not a big deal.
- 40:40Speaker 4: That was the truth. Susie Q?
- 40:41Speaker 7: Susie Q. It's not like I'm still thinking about it. No,
- 40:43Speaker 7: not even thinking about it at all.
- 40:44Speaker 4: Guys, guys, we got to take a break. Clock.
- 40:47Speaker 6: Look at that.
- 40:48Speaker 7: More OTB when we come back.
- 40:49Speaker 3: Off the bench.
- 40:51Speaker 5: I was going to go before you asked the haunted
- 40:53Speaker 5: house question, but that's okay.
- 40:56Speaker 4: I will come back from it. Go to FABT.com. That's
- 40:59Speaker 4: the website for our friends over at First American Bank
- 41:01Speaker 4: and Trust. They've been in the game for over 100 years.
- 41:04Speaker 4: Since 1910, they've been here in Southeast Louisiana, and they're
- 41:07Speaker 4: going to be able to help you every step of
- 41:09Speaker 4: the way. And it's going to be a relationship, your name,
- 41:11Speaker 4: your face.
- 41:11Speaker 5: You're not just another account number with First American Bank
- 41:15Speaker 5: and Trust. So go to the website today, open up
- 41:17Speaker 5: your account, or go visit one of the many locations
- 41:19Speaker 5: here in the area. Find the location that's convenient for
- 41:22Speaker 5: you at FABT.com.
- 41:24Speaker 7: First American Bank and Trust is American. That's not in Louisiana,
- 41:27Speaker 7: is it? Is it, Jake? Yeah, it's American. Louisiana, since 1910.
- 41:32Speaker 7: Here in Louisiana, a local bank working with local companies,
- 41:36Speaker 7: local families, local individuals. So if you have a banking need,
- 41:39Speaker 7: Maybe you just need a bank account. Maybe you've got
- 41:41Speaker 7: some kids. You want to set up a little savings account,
- 41:43Speaker 7: whatever it is. Or maybe you need a loan. Maybe
- 41:45Speaker 7: it's a line of credit, a HELOC. It doesn't matter.
- 41:48Speaker 7: Make sure the people that are making decisions for your
- 41:50Speaker 7: financial future, whether it's personal, whether it's for a business,
- 41:53Speaker 7: make sure they're here in Louisiana making Louisiana decisions. Right there, FABT.com.
- 42:00Speaker 1: Off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn, presented
- 42:04Speaker 1: by Community Steel.
- 42:15Speaker 3: You see me, but you're blowing the line.
- 42:20Speaker 11: When you're making a scene, oh girl, you've got to know.
- 42:25Speaker 11: With my head over lungs, the senses will show to
- 42:31Speaker 11: my heart. When it's watching for lies, you can't escape
- 42:35Speaker 11: my eyes.
- 42:37Speaker 7: All right, welcome back here. Closing out our number two
- 42:41Speaker 7: off the bench. Still getting over my sickness, so I'm
- 42:45Speaker 7: faking a little energy. One company that doesn't have to
- 42:47Speaker 7: fake energy is Caterus. When you think about energy, when
- 42:50Speaker 7: you think about Louisiana, you think about energy, you think
- 42:52Speaker 7: about Caterus. Caterus is developed in the Commonwealth LNG Export
- 42:55Speaker 7: Facility over there in Cameron Parish, connecting American natural gas
- 42:58Speaker 7: with customers around the world. Now under construction after reaching
- 43:01Speaker 7: its final investment decision. In 2026, the project represents a
- 43:05Speaker 7: major investment in Louisiana's future. But it's about more than
- 43:09Speaker 7: just exporting energy. It's about creating jobs here in Louisiana.
- 43:12Speaker 7: It's about supporting local businesses, strengthening communities, and reinforcing Louisiana's
- 43:17Speaker 7: position as one of the world's leading energy hubs. Through
- 43:20Speaker 7: its natural gas production in the Commonwealth LNG Project, Caterus
- 43:24Speaker 7: is helping build an integrated energy platform that connects domestic
- 43:27Speaker 7: resources with growing global demand. As construction continues on Louisiana's
- 43:32Speaker 7: Gulf Coast, Caterus is proud to invest in American energy,
- 43:35Speaker 7: American workers, and a stronger economic future. Catalyst, connecting Louisiana
- 43:40Speaker 7: energy worldwide.
- 43:45Speaker 4: All right, there was one that we didn't get to
- 43:47Speaker 4: that I actually think is pretty good. If you had
- 43:51Speaker 4: to send your child to an SEC school that was
- 43:57Speaker 4: not LSU, which school would it be? I actually like
- 44:02Speaker 4: that a lot.
- 44:03Speaker 7: Do I have to pay or is it like full ride?
- 44:05Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 44:06Speaker 4: It doesn't matter.
- 44:06Speaker 8: I think you think it's a Vandy. I like to
- 44:08Speaker 8: visit Nashville. Boys enjoyed my time there.
- 44:12Speaker 7: So I'll go Vandy. All right. Um, that's a good question.
- 44:25Speaker 7: There's a couple that I don't, I don't hate a
- 44:27Speaker 7: lot of people in SEC. I hate a few. Definitely
- 44:31Speaker 7: not going to Gainesville. That's for sure. If you want
- 44:34Speaker 7: to keep the name Flynn. Tennessee.
- 44:38Speaker 3: Georgia.
- 44:39Speaker 8: All right.
- 44:40Speaker 7: I've heard great things about Auburn as well. Nice little
- 44:43Speaker 7: small town. Tennessee, I'd love any chance to get up
- 44:48Speaker 7: in the hills a little bit.
- 44:49Speaker 4: Vanderbilt's not a bad answer. I think Auburn. I think
- 44:53Speaker 4: that'd be my final answer. All right. I've enjoyed my
- 44:57Speaker 4: visits there. I like the campus. Smaller town.
- 45:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 45:02Speaker 7: Not that far away from here. I got a buddy
- 45:04Speaker 7: who likes to go to Auburn, and they love it.
- 45:06Speaker 4: No A & M, no Florida.
- 45:07Speaker 7: Yeah. They love visiting. Definitely no A & M. Definitely
- 45:10Speaker 7: no Florida. Thank goodness.
- 45:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 45:13Speaker 7: I could get over, I think, everything else. Yeah. Alondra?
- 45:17Speaker 6: I liked Vandy's campus a lot whenever I went over there.
- 45:19Speaker 4: And it's a national. Yeah, Vandy and Auburn.
- 45:22Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 45:23Speaker 7: Great education. Kentucky would be good.
- 45:24Speaker 4: Kentucky wouldn't be bad.
- 45:27Speaker 6: Texas, I'd be back home.
- 45:28Speaker 7: Nah, bro.
- 45:32Speaker 4: All right, hour three, coming back your way. Nick Underhill.
- 45:35Speaker 3: Off the bench.
- 45:36Speaker 5: All right, go to ktozblinds.com, ktozblinds.com, k-t-o-z-blinds.com. Have Brandon Barton
- 45:43Speaker 5: and team come out to your space, know your space,
- 45:44Speaker 5: learn your space, change your space in a matter of minutes.
- 45:47Speaker 4: They just did the same thing for us.
- 45:49Speaker 5: They just came out to our house, and we are
- 45:52Speaker 5: going to get some new shades there in the kitchen.
- 45:54Speaker 4: Incredibly easy process. Brandon came in. He had like four binders.
- 45:58Speaker 5: Worth you know fabrics to choose from to customize your
- 46:02Speaker 5: job measurements were quick in out and we got a
- 46:04Speaker 5: little bit of a unique window so you had to
- 46:07Speaker 5: have a little custom right and we didn't have a
- 46:10Speaker 5: plug either by the wall and they're motorized he said
- 46:12Speaker 5: it's fine you have a battery that you can put
- 46:15Speaker 5: on there it's going to last nine months fully charged
- 46:17Speaker 5: nine months you got to charge it once every nine
- 46:19Speaker 5: months it's going to go up it's going to go
- 46:21Speaker 5: down It's going to be incredibly quiet, and we just
- 46:23Speaker 5: push a button inside our house.
- 46:24Speaker 7: Is that battery like the size of a garage or something?
- 46:26Speaker 4: No, but it's a little bitty old battery.
- 46:29Speaker 5: They got all the latest technology over at KTOZBlinds.com.
