- 0:00Speaker 1: Jif J mask.
- 0:05Speaker 2: All right, So Kevin Smith is here celebrating his fifty
- 0:08Speaker 2: sixth the birthday at the Starlight Cabaret in Studio City
- 0:12Speaker 2: this Sunday, eight pm. It's out of comedy, there's music.
- 0:17Speaker 2: This podcast dot com is the website or the Starlight
- 0:21Speaker 2: Cabaret dot com?
- 0:23Speaker 3: Yeah you met and it's bobble Head Night at the
- 0:26Speaker 3: Starlight Cabaret, right, get No, I don't know.
- 0:31Speaker 1: But I had to ask.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Is there, like is every night at a sporting event
- 0:35Speaker 3: a Bobblehead night?
- 0:36Speaker 4: Like?
- 0:36Speaker 1: Is there every night with like we're not giving away
- 0:38Speaker 1: anything that see the game?
- 0:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I would say like seventy five percent of the
- 0:43Speaker 3: Dodgers Knights are some sort of giveaway.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Very insensive oriented. Yeah, Like you.
- 0:47Speaker 5: Know clear pastic bag night.
- 0:50Speaker 1: That's a big thing, right that packs? Yeah, what is
- 0:53Speaker 1: clear plastic? So you have to.
- 0:59Speaker 5: You have to have a your bag if you can't
- 1:01Speaker 5: bring it.
- 1:02Speaker 2: You can't bring a bag that you can't see into
- 1:04Speaker 2: into a venue a lot.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Now like classic bag are they giving away? But that's
- 1:09Speaker 3: the one day, Like you can bring a non clear pass.
- 1:13Speaker 1: That's how we're celebrating.
- 1:14Speaker 5: They'll give you one with like a logo on.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Yeah, So that way the next time you come to
- 1:17Speaker 2: the game, you can use that bag with your team's
- 1:19Speaker 2: logo on it and bring all your crap.
- 1:21Speaker 1: I mean, they're feeding many birds with one seed.
- 1:25Speaker 3: They are sounds like they got the they got they
- 1:27Speaker 3: know how to squeeze a nickel out of that sports game.
- 1:30Speaker 1: They sure that now.
- 1:33Speaker 2: I mean, you know, hey, what what do adults love
- 1:36Speaker 2: more than anything these days?
- 1:37Speaker 5: Toys?
- 1:37Speaker 2: Toys, and you're just a comic con. Let me ask
- 1:42Speaker 2: you this. I saw on your social medium because you
- 1:45Speaker 2: hosted the panel or whatever, and so was this your
- 1:47Speaker 2: first time ever meeting Rick Moranis it was as cool.
- 1:50Speaker 1: As he seems, super sweet.
- 1:52Speaker 3: I was hoping, like he's going to be better than
- 1:55Speaker 3: all of us.
- 1:57Speaker 2: You don't want to meet you don't want to meet
- 1:59Speaker 2: your heroes, or you don't want to meet somebody you
- 2:00Speaker 2: already have a really positive, you know, vibe on because.
- 2:05Speaker 3: But also I was in an environment where like you'd
- 2:09Speaker 3: have to be a real ah to be like, hey man,
- 2:13Speaker 3: go to hell.
- 2:14Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. They're selling a movie at
- 2:16Speaker 1: comic con and stuff like that.
- 2:18Speaker 5: So not notoriously one of the nicest guys.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Has been I mean, like, this is a guy who
- 2:24Speaker 3: I didn't think i'd ever meet because he's been retired
- 2:27Speaker 3: for a red hot minute, Like he stepped away from
- 2:29Speaker 3: the business to go live a real life and raise
- 2:32Speaker 3: his kids and stuff. But he fueled my childhood and
- 2:35Speaker 3: built the tracks upon which I later ran my trains
- 2:38Speaker 3: in terms of comedy and stuff like that. So I'm
- 2:41Speaker 3: a I was a massive Bob and Doug McKenzie fan,
- 2:44Speaker 3: so I never would have gotten to Jane and sold
- 2:46Speaker 3: Bob without Bob and Doug.
- 2:47Speaker 1: So meeting him was a cool thing.
- 2:48Speaker 3: And they had me to host the Spaceball's panel, and
- 2:51Speaker 3: Rick is in the movie and Spaceball's the new one.
- 2:54Speaker 1: It's called did you see the movie? No, it's not
- 2:57Speaker 1: done yet. It showed us a clip.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Though, yeah, you were hosting it. If they kind of
- 3:01Speaker 2: showed you some stuff, I'm not even done beforehand.
- 3:03Speaker 3: I believe me, they're not. They're so not done that
- 3:05Speaker 3: I was like, maybe they'll put me in it.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:09Speaker 3: I was pretty good on the panel, but it's it
- 3:12Speaker 3: looks funny exactly.
- 3:13Speaker 1: The clip they ran was really great. But he came
- 3:16Speaker 1: out of retirement.
- 3:17Speaker 3: This is a dude who hasn't been doing it for
- 3:19Speaker 3: a long long time and he had a very funny
- 3:21Speaker 3: line up there.
- 3:21Speaker 1: He's like everybody thought I was retired. I was just negotiating,
- 3:26Speaker 1: but meeting him was dope.
- 3:27Speaker 5: Man.
- 3:28Speaker 1: I would like.
- 3:28Speaker 3: We sat down and did the kind of this is
- 3:30Speaker 3: how the panel's going to lay out, this is where
- 3:32Speaker 3: everybody sits as who you call out and stuff like that,
- 3:35Speaker 3: and then I went and smoked a joint and then
- 3:37Speaker 3: I came back in and that made me chilling enough
- 3:40Speaker 3: to kind of go up to Rick and I.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Was like, hey, man, can I take a picture with you?
- 3:43Speaker 3: And he was like, oh god, yeah, and he stood
- 3:44Speaker 3: up and he took a picture, and I was glad
- 3:46Speaker 3: I took the picture first because I wasn't sure if
- 3:49Speaker 3: I would cry, you know what I'm saying. If I
- 3:50Speaker 3: started like talking to him and started weeping, then I'd
- 3:52Speaker 3: never get the picture. But like, this was a huge thing,
- 3:55Speaker 3: like this guy, like I remember my fandom for Bob
- 4:01Speaker 3: and Doug mackenzie, and I modeled Jay and Bob on
- 4:06Speaker 3: that on you know, that similar aesthetic sensibility, you know, cheech.
- 4:12Speaker 1: A genre in there.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Of course, I having Costilla, but it has a lot
- 4:15Speaker 3: to do with Bob and Doug so meeting him was
- 4:18Speaker 3: a cool thing. So after we took the picture, I
- 4:21Speaker 3: told him, I was like, hey, man, so i play
- 4:22Speaker 3: a character called Silent Bob and I've been standing next
- 4:25Speaker 3: to a guy called Jay in movies for the last
- 4:27Speaker 3: thirty years. And that only happened because, like, I was
- 4:30Speaker 3: a massive fan of Strange Crew, and he goes, oh,
- 4:34Speaker 3: Bob and Doug aye, yeah, you know what I'm saying.
- 4:39Speaker 1: I even asked for it, give me a marry.
- 4:40Speaker 3: So he was wonderfully, absolutely delivered, and on stage he
- 4:44Speaker 3: was great. The moment highlight of Comic Con for me,
- 4:46Speaker 3: And mind you, I had my own hall Ah panel
- 4:48Speaker 3: and stuff with like five thousand people there and stuff,
- 4:51Speaker 3: and I had comedy shows that were sold out all weekend.
- 4:54Speaker 3: But my highlight was when he came into hall H.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Like we brought up the cast and the crew of
- 5:01Speaker 3: Spaceballs and then you know, I was like, and Rick
- 5:04Speaker 3: moranis and then he didn't come out, and Everybody's like,
- 5:06Speaker 3: where's Rick, And so we like combed the audience and
- 5:09Speaker 3: cut to the audience and there's Spaceballs, the big combs
- 5:13Speaker 3: and things, and then they had three dark helmets and
- 5:16Speaker 3: one was a kid, one was another dude, and the
- 5:18Speaker 3: third one was him and once he lifted the mask,
- 5:23Speaker 3: they had him on camera on the big screen, like
- 5:25Speaker 3: the place went nuts. Yeah, once he came on stage,
- 5:30Speaker 3: the place gave him a standing ovation. And he hadn't
- 5:34Speaker 3: been to comic Con ever. And this is a guy
- 5:36Speaker 3: who's in the DNA of comic Con, like Lewis Tully
- 5:40Speaker 3: from Ghostbuster. Yeah, the seymour Or crawlborne from from Little
- 5:45Speaker 3: Shop of Horrors, the Worst Father who ever.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Lived in Honey, I shrunk the kid, right, you know, like.
- 5:51Speaker 3: He's he's been in the geek culture for a long
- 5:54Speaker 3: time and even though he hasn't been working for decades now,
- 5:58Speaker 3: those movies have still been enjoyed by generation. So he
- 6:02Speaker 3: hit that stage, man, and it was a thunderous wave
- 6:05Speaker 3: of affection. Sixty five hundred is what that play seats,
- 6:08Speaker 3: and I believe they were at max capacity. It was
- 6:10Speaker 3: Friday panel. It was pretty impressive. Usually the Saturdays are
- 6:14Speaker 3: max capacity, Like the Marvel panel. They had to turn
- 6:17Speaker 3: people away and people who had wristbands didn't even get in,
- 6:19Speaker 3: so so many people wanted to be there. I had
- 6:21Speaker 3: to follow the Marvel panel, which is like following John Holmes.
- 6:26Speaker 1: You know you can hear a hot dog in the
- 6:27Speaker 1: hallway after that for having sake.
- 6:30Speaker 3: But there they were on Friday, like packed and sixty
- 6:34Speaker 3: five hundred people standing up and applauding and focusing all
- 6:39Speaker 3: of their affection at this one person on stage. It
- 6:42Speaker 3: was just a beautiful moment. And it's not like the
- 6:44Speaker 3: dude had never been on in front of an audience before.
- 6:46Speaker 3: He comes from Second City, so he's used to be
- 6:48Speaker 3: in front of people, And it's not like the dude
- 6:50Speaker 3: couldn't conceive of Amazon saying they're gonna be sixty five
- 6:54Speaker 3: hundred people in that room. I don't think he was
- 6:56Speaker 3: prepared for everybody to be like, we've missed you, man,
- 7:00Speaker 3: and just give him that moment.
- 7:02Speaker 2: It was beautiful, Like that's really I'm glad to hear
- 7:04Speaker 2: he's a really cool guy. I'm such a guy man,
- 7:06Speaker 2: because you want to hear that, right, you want to
- 7:08Speaker 2: hear that Rick moranis is a cool dude.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Very he turns out to be very cool dude, very sweet,
- 7:13Speaker 3: and very like he was. He wasn't expecting it, But
- 7:17Speaker 3: I remember talking to the Amazon people, like a week
- 7:19Speaker 3: before going, we better build some time in the schedule
- 7:21Speaker 3: because everything is like, you know, timed within forty five
- 7:25Speaker 3: minutes and fifteen minutes for audience que and I was like,
- 7:28Speaker 3: when he comes on stage, though, these people aren't seen
- 7:30Speaker 3: this guy in a dog's age, like they are going
- 7:32Speaker 3: to be all over them and stuff. And they were like, yeah, yeah,
- 7:35Speaker 3: you're right, and it did. It went beyond what I imagine.
- 7:39Speaker 2: So besides that, like do you walk the floor at all?
- 7:41Speaker 2: You get to see anything to.
- 7:42Speaker 3: The floor twice this year because I went to a
- 7:45Speaker 3: activation for Funko. They did this pop Mystery thing and
- 7:50Speaker 3: that that was on Wednesday preview night, which was packed,
- 7:53Speaker 3: like already, it's just Wednesday. Preview night looked like Saturday.
- 7:57Speaker 3: Then I went to the floor, was a Saturday afternoon
- 8:00Speaker 3: into the Marvel booth and and I got the comic
- 8:03Speaker 3: that came out, Jay's a Future Past. So they have
- 8:06Speaker 3: a bunch of cos players at the booth, so they
- 8:08Speaker 3: tried to reenact the cover of the comic with me
- 8:11Speaker 3: and the cosplayers and stuff.
- 8:13Speaker 1: So that was kind of sweet.
- 8:14Speaker 3: So I saw the floor then as well, and the
- 8:16Speaker 3: only way I could get on the floor and this
- 8:18Speaker 3: ain't bragging and this isn't even choice.
- 8:21Speaker 1: They won't let me attempt the floor without six, which is.
- 8:28Speaker 3: Like, honestly, that makes sense, but it's more showy than
- 8:31Speaker 3: anything else. And it's like I get a few minutes
- 8:34Speaker 3: because people are like, oh, he's pretty good Kevin Smith
- 8:36Speaker 3: cos player.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Yeah, because I'm wearing the whole outfit and they're like, wait,
- 8:40Speaker 1: that is him. And by the time, and I moved
- 8:42Speaker 1: pretty fast for a dude who's thick with two seas.
- 8:44Speaker 3: So at the end of the day, I can move
- 8:47Speaker 3: around faster without security than with security and get things
- 8:51Speaker 3: done quicker, I feel.
- 8:52Speaker 5: And then you hear people I'm sure be like, oh
- 8:54Speaker 5: he's such a doude, she.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Needs security, Like that was my idea, but I hate
- 8:58Speaker 1: the idea because they'll go excuse me, and they pushed
- 9:01Speaker 1: people aside and it's like unnecessary.
- 9:03Speaker 2: So as a fan, yeah, because you like all this stuff,
- 9:05Speaker 2: like comic Con is your you know, Christmas kind of thing.
- 9:08Speaker 2: So of all this stuff, like, did anything besides like
- 9:11Speaker 2: Spaceballs and meeting Rick moranis like, what was the hands
- 9:14Speaker 2: down the thing they got you geeked.
- 9:16Speaker 3: The thing that I went for aside from like, you know,
- 9:18Speaker 3: work on stuff for me and my own stuff was
- 9:21Speaker 3: the Marvel panel, like and so their panel like they
- 9:24Speaker 3: they weren't at hall H last year, they were the
- 9:27Speaker 3: year before. That's when they announced Robert Dannel Junr as Doom.
- 9:30Speaker 3: So they dropped that trailer last week on Monday, the
- 9:34Speaker 3: Avengers Doomsday trailer, and all of us were like, well,
- 9:37Speaker 3: what are you going to do in hall Ah because
- 9:38Speaker 3: we assumed that's what they were going to show was that,
- 9:41Speaker 3: And instead they showed a brand new trailer which apparently
- 9:44Speaker 3: is going to be at the head of Spider Man
- 9:47Speaker 3: brand new day. So the trailer that they showed us
- 9:50Speaker 3: in hall H which is a very Doctor Doom centric trailer,
- 9:53Speaker 3: And to be honest with you, like the first trailer
- 9:55Speaker 3: was wonderful. I would have led with this trailer because
- 9:57Speaker 3: it makes him seem than I was bad for a
- 10:01Speaker 3: bunch of people who maybe aren't that familiar with Doctor Doom.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Although who alive in this culture hasn't encountered Doctor Doom
- 10:07Speaker 3: in some incarnation or another. This is the first time
- 10:10Speaker 3: he's going to be in the Marvel Cinematic universe. You said,
- 10:13Speaker 3: I'm a fan of these things. You could tell listen
- 10:15Speaker 3: to thee I speak more proudly of this than I
- 10:18Speaker 3: do with my own child and her back. So they
- 10:22Speaker 3: showed this Doom Doctor Doom trailer, which was absolutely phenomenal.
- 10:27Speaker 3: And seeing a trailer most of us interactive trailers on
- 10:30Speaker 3: our phones, on our laptops and stuff. Generally, we don't
- 10:33Speaker 3: even get to see a trailer in a room with
- 10:36Speaker 3: like two hundred and fifty people in a movie theater anymore.
- 10:38Speaker 3: We're watching it beforehand, you know, in our social media
- 10:41Speaker 3: or in our on our laptops. This was getting to
- 10:44Speaker 3: watch a trailer nobody's ever seen with sixty five hundred
- 10:49Speaker 3: like minded people who are all there going.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Like the room fun thing.
- 10:52Speaker 5: Oh yeah, that's why you just feel the vibe in
- 10:55Speaker 5: the room.
- 10:56Speaker 1: MO wonderful.
- 10:56Speaker 3: So that panel like was great. They brought up all
- 10:59Speaker 3: the famous p and whatnot, and that was fine. I
- 11:01Speaker 3: always like seeing Robert Danny Junior like the waiter. Some
- 11:05Speaker 3: people come up to me in life like like your thing.
- 11:09Speaker 2: I would you say he's nerd Jesus?
- 11:11Speaker 3: Now, yeah, I would say so, And I honestly feel
- 11:15Speaker 3: like he's he's acting Jesus as well, because I don't
- 11:18Speaker 3: think this doctor Doom thing is a payday, although I
- 11:21Speaker 3: hear he's getting paid eighty to.
- 11:22Speaker 1: One hundred for two movies. Was he I think he's
- 11:25Speaker 1: doing it NERD wants to.
- 11:27Speaker 2: In the NERD universe. Was he the biggest star for
- 11:30Speaker 2: that group that weekend?
- 11:32Speaker 1: Yes, hands down. Yeah.
- 11:33Speaker 2: I would think I would.
- 11:35Speaker 1: I would think that would be the case. The acting thing.
- 11:37Speaker 3: I think he's doing this Doctor Doom thing because I
- 11:39Speaker 3: think he wants to try to win an Oscar from
- 11:41Speaker 3: behind a metal mask. I think he's won a Best
- 11:43Speaker 3: Supporting Oscar for Oppenheimer, and he was wonderful in the movie.
- 11:46Speaker 3: But I think this dude is like, look, he needs
- 11:48Speaker 3: no money anymore. He has already reached.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Exactly He's making that about a minute, but he's reached
- 11:56Speaker 1: a pinnacle. How do you go further?
- 11:58Speaker 3: If I was that dude, and I was an actor
- 12:00Speaker 3: and I was into acting, I'd be like, let me
- 12:01Speaker 3: see if I can win an oscar from behind a
- 12:03Speaker 3: metal mask. But the only thing they could see me
- 12:05Speaker 3: of me is my eyes. That would be a huge challenge,
- 12:08Speaker 3: number one, to win an Oscar for playing like a
- 12:11Speaker 3: Doctor Doom.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Like, you know, it's not unheard of. The Joker has
- 12:15Speaker 1: won an Oscar twice now for people who played the Joker.
- 12:18Speaker 1: But I think the.
- 12:19Speaker 3: Challenge of doing it from behind something that shows no articulation.
- 12:23Speaker 3: So basically, his performance is gonna be all about emoting,
- 12:25Speaker 3: all about that voice and everything like that and the
- 12:27Speaker 3: way he carries his body, but he can't use all
- 12:29Speaker 3: the tricks of his face.
- 12:30Speaker 1: And he's so damn charming. We love that. I think
- 12:33Speaker 1: that's part of the reason he took the job. I
- 12:34Speaker 1: don't know, the guy from Adam and Stuff.
- 12:37Speaker 2: To do it for a challenge.
- 12:38Speaker 3: Yeah, the money dude's like, I'm still tired.
- 12:42Speaker 5: Yeah, that'd be fun, that'd be cute.
- 12:45Speaker 2: Yeah, let's just say money, money cares.
- 12:49Speaker 1: RDJ call in and let us know if that's accurate.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Eighty seven.
- 12:52Speaker 2: A listener forty four would text us over to two
- 12:55Speaker 2: two nine eight seven. We're gonna take a quick break,
- 12:58Speaker 2: will come back. It is Shark week on Discovervali, which
- 13:00Speaker 2: means it's Nark week. It's cart Ark week here on
- 13:03Speaker 2: The Woody Show. So, uh, Kevin, you're gonna get to
- 13:06Speaker 2: be here as agent Sebastian tries to get people to
- 13:08Speaker 2: do the right thing when you go shopping, Yes, you
- 13:11Speaker 2: do your own shopping.
- 13:12Speaker 1: I do. Yes. He's a man of the people consumer.
- 13:14Speaker 2: Yeah, so like you return the cart to the corral
- 13:17Speaker 2: or to the front of the store, or do you
- 13:18Speaker 2: just leave it empty in a spot.
- 13:19Speaker 3: I have to bring it back because I have to
- 13:21Speaker 3: take into consideration that while the whole world's not watching,
- 13:24Speaker 3: all I need is one person to be like silent
- 13:26Speaker 3: Bob doesn't return his car, so I behave.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Show.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Kevin Smith is here, I'm here for this, I'm near
- 13:38Speaker 2: for cart Nark. Yeah.
- 13:39Speaker 1: I love this concept.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Yeah, so I don't. I don't think we've had you
- 13:43Speaker 2: in for around a cart Nark's before.
- 13:46Speaker 1: This is the whole concept is new to me.
- 13:47Speaker 2: It's Nark Week because it's Shark Week on Discovery and
- 13:50Speaker 2: Cartnarks is such a popular segment with our show, we
- 13:54Speaker 2: decided if it's gonna be Shark Week on Discovery, it's
- 13:56Speaker 2: gonna be Nark Week here on The Woody Show, Sebastin
- 14:00Speaker 2: trying to get people do the right thing and return
- 14:02Speaker 2: those carts where they belong, which is to the card
- 14:06Speaker 2: corral or back to the front of the store, not
- 14:09Speaker 2: to be left an empty parking spot or walkways manby
- 14:13Speaker 2: cap spots.
- 14:14Speaker 5: People love tossing them in there because there's so much
- 14:16Speaker 5: space there.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's not where they go. They go back
- 14:19Speaker 2: to the car crals, but just rather than just doing
- 14:21Speaker 2: the simple thing and returning it, people will argue and
- 14:23Speaker 2: scream and yell and sometimes pull weapons, and they'll chase
- 14:26Speaker 2: you through a parking lot.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Are you serious people have pulled.
- 14:28Speaker 5: Black I've had no literally besides guns, knives, pepper spray fists.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Right off the top or once they find out your thesis.
- 14:37Speaker 5: No, it's not just you said a word to me.
- 14:41Speaker 1: If you're coming up to.
- 14:42Speaker 3: Me in a parking lot, maybe I am pulling a knife.
- 14:44Speaker 3: But if it's a whole different thing. If they're like, wait,
- 14:46Speaker 3: there's always are you busting me for not putting the cart?
- 14:50Speaker 5: It's super super clear, like I never like, oh crap,
- 14:53Speaker 5: he's carjacking me that sort of thing. He's always friendly,
- 14:57Speaker 5: he's not swearing, he's not That is still the weapon.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Bones.
- 15:03Speaker 5: Yes, and in this case we're gonna have this edition
- 15:07Speaker 5: features fun with accents. This is a Saugust Massachusetts and uh,
- 15:11Speaker 5: for folks who don't know, we have different agents that
- 15:13Speaker 5: patrol different areas geographically. And uh, there's this guy, Greg
- 15:17Speaker 5: Gory of the Cape Cod Gory. He's a very fancy
- 15:21Speaker 5: gentleman's a proper man, a fancy accent coming out of
- 15:25Speaker 5: Greg Gory and he approaches this lady and she just
- 15:28Speaker 5: dumped her cart in the middle of the walkway because
- 15:30Speaker 5: it's right there, and who wants to walk? Now there's
- 15:33Speaker 5: a little bit of wrinkle here, Kevin. Is she she
- 15:36Speaker 5: does have a disability placard on her her car, and
- 15:39Speaker 5: so that's always that's always a factor. Now not fourth.
- 15:42Speaker 5: My mom has one of those, and she still returns
- 15:43Speaker 5: to her cars. There's different levels of disabilities, of course.
- 15:46Speaker 5: But we with the cart narks, what we always do
- 15:48Speaker 5: is when they roll their window dead to.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Talk to us.
- 15:50Speaker 5: The dead giveaway is their attitude. Are they, oh, I'm sorry,
- 15:54Speaker 5: would you mind getting that for me? Are the accusatory?
- 15:57Speaker 5: And let's see what this lady has to do when
- 15:59Speaker 5: Greg approach her about her cart in the walkway?
- 16:01Speaker 4: Oop Steve way, whoop woo woop.
- 16:03Speaker 5: Ma'm well, you actually a better to do. That's like
- 16:06Speaker 5: your car back, young lady.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Get your handicapped and have problem walking?
- 16:10Speaker 5: Yes, you need to find him any time to see man,
- 16:12Speaker 5: your anger leads me to believe that you could shake
- 16:15Speaker 5: your card back. What's up there? Like Mark I'm gonna
- 16:17Speaker 5: assume you.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Oh.
- 16:21Speaker 5: The first words were don't you have anything better to do?
- 16:24Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 16:24Speaker 5: Sounds like right, exactly right, essential casting, Yeah, Lois Griffin. Now,
- 16:31Speaker 5: so mister Greg Gory, their agent, Greg Gorey. He has
- 16:33Speaker 5: these little magnets to encourage people to do the right thing.
- 16:36Speaker 5: They're a little scarlet letters. They say, I don't return
- 16:39Speaker 5: my shopping cart like a jerk. For instance, that's what
- 16:41Speaker 5: you put on the car, well yeah, or or lazy
- 16:43Speaker 5: bones on board, you know, the baby on he's gonna
- 16:46Speaker 5: it is a thousand different versions of these. So that's
- 16:48Speaker 5: the thing that kind of for you could have that
- 16:51Speaker 5: magnet on your car, drive away and be beyond with
- 16:53Speaker 5: your day and say well that was odd weird anyway.
- 16:56Speaker 5: Or if you, if your ego is such and you
- 16:59Speaker 5: don't want to lose the arguments, you will keep on
- 17:01Speaker 5: going about, perhaps suing our good agent, Greg Gory.
- 17:04Speaker 4: What would you assume me for you, young lady, what damage
- 17:07Speaker 4: does that do?
- 17:08Speaker 5: Doesn't matter? It's my rocket, doesn't touch it does matter,
- 17:11Speaker 5: It doesn't matter in shots, doesn't because in a lawsuit
- 17:14Speaker 5: you wait for me, I will teach you.
- 17:19Speaker 1: It's my property. It's my property.
- 17:23Speaker 2: So her disability would keep her from returning the car,
- 17:25Speaker 2: but not from trying to kick someone's ass.
- 17:27Speaker 5: Right at this point, she's out of her suv and
- 17:30Speaker 5: walking around. It's funny sometimes they'll forget they're supposed to
- 17:35Speaker 5: be and they're.
- 17:35Speaker 6: Like, oh so again, So Greg again, he's there saying, well,
- 17:42Speaker 6: you can't just people love throwing that out because the
- 17:45Speaker 6: one thing about with Carton Arcs is we've learned the negotiation.
- 17:48Speaker 5: You know this as an actor, Kevin. Tactics. You have
- 17:50Speaker 5: different tactics, different things, different ways you're trying to get words. Tactics, yes,
- 17:57Speaker 5: different negotiations. Fear pity is crying run the spectrum right,
- 18:03Speaker 5: So in this case, the fear of a lawsuit. Now
- 18:05Speaker 5: Greg has been through this before. He knows the lawsuits
- 18:07Speaker 5: are ridiculous. And again he's just trying to explain to
- 18:10Speaker 5: her that magnet on your car is not a lawsuit.
- 18:12Speaker 5: What would you assume me for you, young lad? And
- 18:15Speaker 5: what damage does that do? Doesn't matter? It's mike rocket
- 18:18Speaker 5: doesn't touch my pushes.
- 18:19Speaker 2: It does matter.
- 18:19Speaker 5: It does matter your shots does a lawsuit? Wait for
- 18:23Speaker 5: your eye will teach you. That was the hitting there,
- 18:25Speaker 5: And then baby cried right, so then she then takes
- 18:27Speaker 5: that magnet and she says, well, guess what you've You've
- 18:30Speaker 5: taken me to the next level here, I'm going to
- 18:32Speaker 5: take your maget and throw it on the ground. You're
- 18:33Speaker 5: making litter.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Made me do this.
- 18:37Speaker 2: We know that Greg does not like litter.
- 18:38Speaker 5: No, no, absolutely not acceptable right here. So actually I've
- 18:44Speaker 5: got a maggot that says I'm a little bug on.
- 18:45Speaker 1: It right here.
- 18:47Speaker 4: That's see, if you were truly, if you were truly injured,
- 18:51Speaker 4: you would have said, oh, I'm sorry, I can't take
- 18:53Speaker 4: it back.
- 18:54Speaker 5: You were we cat? No, all I did was I
- 18:56Speaker 5: kind of waved. I said, oh, hey, you weren't being cat.
- 18:59Speaker 5: So so you were being attitude. You were attitude. Because
- 19:06Speaker 5: that's that's the thing with these agents is we'll often
- 19:07Speaker 5: say like yeah, halfway through them screaming whatever, like you
- 19:11Speaker 5: could have just asked us or just at any point
- 19:14Speaker 5: in the but no. Then then they rewrite history like, no,
- 19:17Speaker 5: you had a crappy attitude. Well we heard the attitude.
- 19:18Speaker 5: At first. It was just like, yeah, fantastic exactly.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Yeah, attitude was all about her property.
- 19:26Speaker 5: Yeah, suit, Now another move that's in our agent's vast
- 19:31Speaker 5: arsenal besides the variety of magnets they use. Is they
- 19:34Speaker 5: love to because they know they're milking somebody's ego at
- 19:36Speaker 5: this point. So they'll go to the car side of
- 19:38Speaker 5: the car the cat that they can that the person
- 19:40Speaker 5: can't see, grab the magnet, blow it, blow their eye level,
- 19:43Speaker 5: and then not even place it on, just to see
- 19:45Speaker 5: if they'll stomp on it. I'm not touching you. I'm
- 19:49Speaker 5: not touching yeah, exactly, Like, do you really care about
- 19:53Speaker 5: the magnet or do you know not? So Greg uses
- 19:55Speaker 5: that on this lady cat by being polite. Here's a
- 19:58Speaker 5: little bug magnet.
- 19:59Speaker 1: Am What are you gonna tell him?
- 20:04Speaker 3: Man?
- 20:04Speaker 5: Remember earlier you said you couldn't walk over to the
- 20:06Speaker 5: carver turd.
- 20:06Speaker 4: Well you've already walked farther than that several times now,
- 20:08Speaker 4: so I think you were lying.
- 20:10Speaker 5: No, not lying.
- 20:12Speaker 2: She fell for the failure on her tears.
- 20:14Speaker 5: Man, that's against the law.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Also, I'm gonna kill you.
- 20:19Speaker 5: I'm gonna kick your ass to.
- 20:22Speaker 2: We started with suing, then we went to I'm gonna kick.
- 20:24Speaker 5: Your ass and I pointed this out. I know what
- 20:29Speaker 5: he doesn't like this, but that's a that's a felony
- 20:31Speaker 5: assault right there. When you when you get when you
- 20:33Speaker 5: tell somebody in a way that they're intended to believe
- 20:36Speaker 5: that you are going to cause great harm, in this
- 20:38Speaker 5: case their death. That is a felony assault. But people
- 20:41Speaker 5: just don't care because they don't want to be told.
- 20:44Speaker 3: What is the like, clearly he's been through it. What
- 20:49Speaker 3: there's no rule against putting a magna on car?
- 20:51Speaker 5: Okay, so think about think about this. Yeah, so think
- 20:54Speaker 5: about the pop potential charges kevin vandalism, vandalism. You still
- 20:57Speaker 5: gotta have a damage there, like no damage like with
- 20:59Speaker 5: the spray paints someone's car. Yeah, that takes time.
- 21:02Speaker 3: Even putting a bumper sticker on, It's like that's going
- 21:04Speaker 3: to take time to the magnet comes right again.
- 21:07Speaker 5: The cart narks there so far ahead of these on
- 21:09Speaker 5: it where we have advantages because I've done this a
- 21:12Speaker 5: thousand times. People have never been called in their crap
- 21:14Speaker 5: a thousand times. But yeah, so there may be in
- 21:17Speaker 5: some jurisdictions you could get a ticket for like leaving
- 21:20Speaker 5: a flyer like like that, that sort of thing. But
- 21:23Speaker 5: the only write tickets for that when you do a
- 21:24Speaker 5: thousand of them in the entire parking lot, and you
- 21:26Speaker 5: know you're creating litter if it's a one on one
- 21:29Speaker 5: where you're just again with a specific purpose of not
- 21:31Speaker 5: in this case, not blocking the walkway, there is no
- 21:34Speaker 5: there's no never been charged, never even been brought into court,
- 21:36Speaker 5: and ane of that stuff.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Although there was that one woman who was threatening because
- 21:41Speaker 2: it was false imprisonmen because you.
- 21:42Speaker 5: Had the cart.
- 21:43Speaker 2: You had the cart behind her car. So the cart
- 21:45Speaker 2: that she left out in the open space you just
- 21:47Speaker 2: placed behind her car. And she contacted her lawyer and
- 21:52Speaker 2: they're like, well, technically, I guess it could be false imprisonment. Yeah,
- 21:57Speaker 2: if you would just put the cart back in the crowd,
- 21:59Speaker 2: you would no longer be in prison.
- 22:01Speaker 5: Yourself on your own pitar. That was the idea, That
- 22:05Speaker 5: was the psychology behind that. Well, you're your car could
- 22:07Speaker 5: be in other people's ways, so let's see how you feel.
- 22:10Speaker 5: But and I my lawyer said to look, don't even
- 22:13Speaker 5: don't give any da an opportunity to do anything, you know,
- 22:17Speaker 5: even though this thing is on wheels and you could
- 22:19Speaker 5: and you have moved it, so we we don't do that.
- 22:22Speaker 5: That she is she is a great a masshole, that
- 22:25Speaker 5: is yeah, straight up. So now at this point she
- 22:28Speaker 5: is this happens all the time as well, where they won't.
- 22:31Speaker 5: They don't want to lose the argument, so they'll they'll
- 22:32Speaker 5: pull out of their spot, end up blocking traffic, which
- 22:35Speaker 5: I don't want of course, and Agent Greg Goory in
- 22:37Speaker 5: this case isn't want. We'll kind of d escalate, but
- 22:39Speaker 5: then they'll blame me for blocking traffic, when again they
- 22:43Speaker 5: could have driven away at any time. But again they
- 22:45Speaker 5: don't want to lose the argument. You fell for the
- 22:46Speaker 5: fake out.
- 22:47Speaker 6: Man.
- 22:47Speaker 5: There's nothing on there. Man, I'm pretty nice to you,
- 22:52Speaker 5: and you're just you're threatening to hurt me. I'm trying
- 22:54Speaker 5: to be pleasant and polite.
- 22:56Speaker 1: I was gonna put that right there, ma'am. I'm trying.
- 23:02Speaker 4: I'm trying to make a simple point. You're blocking. You
- 23:07Speaker 4: could leave it at anytime if you wanted to. You
- 23:09Speaker 4: could leave any time you want to. You could have
- 23:13Speaker 4: left five minutes ago, ma'am, but your ego won't let
- 23:16Speaker 4: you because you want.
- 23:17Speaker 5: To be right too late already did. And it's the
- 23:23Speaker 5: other thing, and you know this from video game culture, Kevin.
- 23:26Speaker 5: The they a lot of the comments I see is
- 23:28Speaker 5: these people get stuck in NPC loops, which is a
- 23:31Speaker 5: non playable character, like they don't have. They have five
- 23:34Speaker 5: or six lines and like, don't touch my cap, don't
- 23:36Speaker 5: touch this, and it's just like they they don't want
- 23:42Speaker 5: to have a conversation or they're their understanding of the
- 23:45Speaker 5: is so surface level. They just deep back and forth.
- 23:48Speaker 3: What I like about it is, you know what, we
- 23:51Speaker 3: love comic books and comic book movies because we're like, oh, man,
- 23:54Speaker 3: a vigilante, you'll make things right.
- 23:56Speaker 1: This is the real Batman. You know what I'm saying,
- 24:00Speaker 1: the Batman of civility. I'm telling you a good car.
- 24:06Speaker 1: It's the cart Night, the cart Night returns.
- 24:11Speaker 5: I'm not I'm not going to say this, but you
- 24:13Speaker 5: walk around. You walk around the floor there at comic Con,
- 24:16Speaker 5: as I did this year, and you see that these
- 24:18Speaker 5: little booths like, well, man, I could probably get some
- 24:20Speaker 5: comic book, yes, and some some plastic you know, Funko
- 24:23Speaker 5: style to Yes, I could autograph.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Yes, there's a merchandising opportunity here. But don't get.
- 24:28Speaker 3: Lost in the money, because it's the justice that we're seeking.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Like Batman's never like, you know, I could sell these shots.
- 24:37Speaker 1: There's a millionaire first, good boy. You know you got
- 24:40Speaker 1: to catch up. You know what, You're right, You get
- 24:42Speaker 1: to sell.
- 24:43Speaker 2: So, yeah, you're right. You know some comic book people
- 24:45Speaker 2: there are. I mean, there is a comic book here, well.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Comic book.
- 24:49Speaker 3: But but I'm saying, like, never mind, I agree with
- 24:51Speaker 3: you one hundred percent, but I'm being serious. This is
- 24:54Speaker 3: the real Batman, Like, never mind punching muggers and stuff like,
- 24:58Speaker 3: nobody gets mugged anymore.
- 25:00Speaker 1: This is the true injustice in society.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Yeah, it's it's and the cart and Arks are out there,
- 25:05Speaker 3: they're doing their thing, Batman.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Did you see the story about what was going on
- 25:08Speaker 2: in Mexico? There was like a Batman kind of guy going.
- 25:11Speaker 5: Around here called the Mexican Batman.
- 25:12Speaker 2: Yeah, and he was there, he from with the name,
- 25:21Speaker 2: and he was taping them to light poles looking up.
- 25:25Speaker 5: The pictures are funny. I think these guys who were
- 25:27Speaker 5: like steal were they stealing like bicycle stuff like that.
- 25:31Speaker 3: Yeah, And I'm not saying cart and Arks should be
- 25:33Speaker 3: taping anybody to anything, but is even better man.
- 25:37Speaker 5: And we do have some I've done some you know,
- 25:39Speaker 5: remember the g I Jo p s at the at
- 25:40Speaker 5: the eighties. The more so we have produced some concepts
- 25:44Speaker 5: that's like what I'll do, I'll take you know somebody,
- 25:47Speaker 5: for instance, off the R Kevin said, well, what did
- 25:49Speaker 5: they say they pay employees to do this? And I say, well, yeah,
- 25:51Speaker 5: they pay employees to clean your hotel room. That doesn't
- 25:55Speaker 5: mean you crap in the sink. You know, there's there's
- 25:57Speaker 5: systems in place a Marriott courtyard. So I've produced several
- 26:03Speaker 5: p s A style things where people come to me, well,
- 26:06Speaker 5: it's they pay people on the The cartnark responds with
- 26:08Speaker 5: these sort of things and a very g I Joe
- 26:11Speaker 5: animated Yeah, so you know the concepts already there. I
- 26:14Speaker 5: just really need somebody to you know, Netflix, et cetera.
- 26:18Speaker 3: Why Honestly, like I spend so much time watching police
- 26:22Speaker 3: body cam video, this.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Is even better.
- 26:25Speaker 5: And that's yeah, that's the video. They're all they're all
- 26:27Speaker 5: my po v, et cetera. So it's really you're in
- 26:29Speaker 5: it video game style again.
- 26:30Speaker 2: You'll love that. It should be the newest follower of
- 26:33Speaker 2: Cartnarks on Instagram and the cart Narks I'm there. Yeah,
- 26:35Speaker 2: there's a ton of videos up there, man, I mean,
- 26:37Speaker 2: I don't know how many you have at this point
- 26:38Speaker 2: on thousands and thousands.
- 26:40Speaker 3: Yeah, there's the Netflix man, and be like, this is
- 26:42Speaker 3: the future from your word, listen to the people that
- 26:45Speaker 3: the future.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Ye, well, it's a shark week on Discovery. It is
- 26:51Speaker 2: nark week here on the show a glory.
- 26:58Speaker 1: Doing the Lord's word.
- 26:59Speaker 2: Try to get people do right there?
- 27:00Speaker 1: And they returned those cars.
- 27:02Speaker 5: You weren't being kicked by being polite. I here's you
- 27:04Speaker 5: a little bug magnetmam. Problem what do you get to
- 27:09Speaker 5: tell them?
- 27:10Speaker 1: Ma'am?
- 27:10Speaker 5: Remember earlier you said you couldn't walk over to the
- 27:12Speaker 5: car return.
- 27:12Speaker 4: Well you've already walked farther than that several times now,
- 27:14Speaker 4: so I think you were lying.
- 27:16Speaker 5: No, but not lying.
- 27:18Speaker 4: She fell for the figure in her tears.
- 27:20Speaker 5: Yeah, man, that's against the law.
- 27:22Speaker 2: Also, no way show
