- 0:00Hello everyone, and welcome back to the Doctor Randy Show.
- 0:03Today's episode is a little different.
- 0:06Usually I'm sitting across from founders, surgeons, innovators,
- 0:10breaking down what's next in aesthetics, medicine, and
- 0:13business. But today the spotlight flips.
- 0:16You've heard me ask the questions, but today I'm
- 0:19answering them. This is the speed round, the
- 0:21habits, the preferences, the treatments, the leadership
- 0:25style, the opinions, the things I love, and maybe a few things
- 0:29that might surprise you. If you've ever wondered how I
- 0:32think, operate or choose in this industry, this one's for you.
- 0:37Bronson from our production team will be joining us and firing
- 0:41away the rapid fire questions at me today.
- 0:44All right, first thing you do when you wake up.
- 0:47Check my phone. Go to meal or snack during the
- 0:51work day. You won't believe this, but I
- 0:54eat a lot of pouches. Some are in the baby food
- 0:57format, some are in the adult pouch format.
- 1:00They're the little pouches that are like, hey, I actually have
- 1:03one in here with me, OK? They look like this, and they
- 1:06have fruits or fruits and vegetables and some other kind
- 1:08of things in them. I eat them all day long.
- 1:10These are my snacks. They're in my purse, they're in
- 1:12my desk. They're everywhere.
- 1:14One thing you do every night, no matter what.
- 1:17OK, so two things here. 1st is my nightly routine, which is
- 1:24pretty vast. It takes about 30 minutes for me
- 1:27to do my nightly routine. It's hair, it's skin, it's teeth
- 1:32and body, right? So it's a whole routine with
- 1:35lotions and potions and everything that needs to happen.
- 1:38So it's a pretty vast routine that I do every night.
- 1:42My husband is perplexed by it, but nevertheless, that is every
- 1:45night. And then I pray.
- 1:47Next up, weekend Vibe. Do you prefer staying in or
- 1:51going out? I would say that it's a mix of
- 1:54both, probably 5050. Some weekends I want to get out
- 1:59and do all kinds of things and then some weekends I want to be
- 2:03a hermit and not do anything. And sometimes it's pretty good
- 2:06split. So I'm definitely not an all in
- 2:08or all out girl. Are you a breakfast person or do
- 2:11you usually skip it? Breakfast every single day of my
- 2:14life I wake up starving so I never skip it.
- 2:18Any particular breakfast that you prefer?
- 2:20Usually egg whites. A lot of protein in the morning.
- 2:24Are you regimented or go of the flow kind of person?
- 2:28I am highly regimented in my daily routine and then when it
- 2:33comes to my free time, I would say I'm pretty go with the flow
- 2:38and like if we're going to get something to eat, I don't really
- 2:41like to always have a reservation because say I want
- 2:43to leave 1/2 an hour later whatnot.
- 2:45So go with the flow in my free time but regimented during the
- 2:48day when it comes to work. What would surprise people if
- 2:51they followed you for a whole day?
- 2:53Well, I think that this has been true for about 25 years, maybe
- 2:59even 30 years at this point. But I would say that it would
- 3:03surprise people that I have very little work life balance and
- 3:08also that I like it that way. When I've worked at the level
- 3:11that I have for so many years, work has become my passion, my
- 3:15hobby. I don't really have many hobbies
- 3:17so I don't have a big work life balance but I'm very happy with
- 3:20it. What's always stocked in your
- 3:22fridge? I'm assuming the pouches.
- 3:26The pouches and I would say everything.
- 3:29So I am one of those people who always has a fully stocked
- 3:33refrigerator. You ever go to those people's
- 3:35houses where they have like 2 drinks, ketchup, mustard and
- 3:39like a sandwich? My refrigerator is always packed
- 3:42with everything. I don't know, I grew up like
- 3:45that. Then I just kept it going.
- 3:47So I would say my fridge is stocked with everything healthy
- 3:50and all kinds of food all the time.
- 3:52How many cups of coffee do you drink per day?
- 3:55This surprises most people because I have an unprecedented
- 3:59amount of energy, but I do not take in any caffeine and have
- 4:04not since probably my freshman year of college.
- 4:09I don't like caffeine. I don't like the way it makes me
- 4:11feel, makes me feel jittery. So I don't drink any caffeine.
- 4:15Don't have any caffeine in any foods or anything.
- 4:18Are you a early bird or a night owl?
- 4:21Well, those who watch the show will know I am a night owl.
- 4:25Big time night owl, always since the beginning of time.
- 4:29I am a short sleeper, meaning I only sleep 4 hours a night.
- 4:34I never needed more than four hours of sleep, so that means I
- 4:38stay up late and I'm able to get more accomplished than probably
- 4:42the average person. But I love the night time.
- 4:45I love working at night, I love working on creative projects at
- 4:48night. And definitely not an early
- 4:50bird. I get early but I don't like
- 4:52having to perform or do something where I have to be
- 4:55super on in the morning. How many windows are open on
- 4:58your laptop right now? OK.
- 5:00Total chaos. My laptop is chaos.
- 5:04It's probably over 100 windows open and just stuff all over my
- 5:08desktop. It's the only thing in my life
- 5:10that's completely disorganized, other than my phone probably.
- 5:13I just have trouble keeping track of all of that, so it's
- 5:16definitely not my proudest moment, but it is the truth.
- 5:20One skill you wish you mastered earlier on in life.
- 5:24Oh, that's a tough one. I would say probably ignoring
- 5:30people's opinions that I don't aspire to be like.
- 5:34And that actually is a skill, like not listening to all the
- 5:37noise around you. And I realize that as I get
- 5:40older. Only listen to the voices that
- 5:43you would want to be like or people that you care about their
- 5:46opinions. That's definitely a good piece
- 5:48of advice. Yes.
- 5:50All right, this may be similar to the laptop situation, but
- 5:53your e-mail inbox is it 0 or 1000 unread emails?
- 5:58I have a feeling. I don't I don't have good news
- 6:02here. OK, I am looking at my inbox and
- 6:07I currently have this is on my phone right?
- 6:10So the across the bottom here, I have 61,000 unread emails.
- 6:15This is why when people e-mail me and they're like you never
- 6:18responded. This is why I lost control over
- 6:21it a while ago. And I even have right now 246
- 6:27unread text messages. So clearly I have trouble
- 6:31keeping up with everything. But I do it and I clearly get
- 6:34back to everybody. So when I say to people, you
- 6:38know, text me, that's inviting them into my circle of trust, I
- 6:42guess because e-mail, everything gets lost.
- 6:44There's probably, you know, 500 a day.
- 6:47Well a good follow up question to that is how long can you go
- 6:51about checking your phone? This used to be a lot worse, I
- 6:54would say. I used to be able to go like 10
- 6:56minutes, but now I would say I can go a few hours and learn to
- 7:01disconnect a little bit, right? But not very long.
- 7:04Not more than a few hours for sure.
- 7:06What's one thing you pretend not to care about, but you
- 7:10absolutely do care about? That is a great question.
- 7:14And here comes the truth, the aging process.
- 7:18I definitely own my age. I will proudly say I'm going to
- 7:23be 55 next month and I own it. And I pretend that it is OK that
- 7:31I am 55 and I really am OK. Then I'm going to be 55.
- 7:34But at the end of the day, when I'm sitting in my mirror after
- 7:39I'm doing my, you know, 30 minute routine at night, I am
- 7:42sitting there, you know, pulling things up and wishing gravity
- 7:46wasn't pulling it down. So I guess it does definitely
- 7:49bother me, even though, like, the aging process is natural and
- 7:53I'm OK with my age, I wish there was more I could be doing,
- 7:56right? I see the knees, the elbows,
- 7:57those kind of things. I definitely think that's
- 8:00something that everyone thinks about, so I don't think you're
- 8:03alone on that. Yeah, yeah.
- 8:05What's your most irrational pet peeve?
- 8:08I am not a patient person, which you probably also know from
- 8:14working with me for six years. But things like waiting in line,
- 8:18waiting for things like when I get somewhere and I think I'm
- 8:21about to do something and then I find out it's a one hour wait
- 8:24and I just get very frustrated over things like that's probably
- 8:27irrational. What's your guilty pleasure
- 8:30scroll so when you're on social media?
- 8:32Online shopping, So I am the worst meaning like I get served
- 8:39every Instagram ad in creation because I buy the things that
- 8:44they serve me, right? So the guilty part of what I do
- 8:48is like, they'll serve me an ad. I buy something and like
- 8:51sometimes it's very late at night.
- 8:53I am one of those people that completely does the opposite of
- 8:56what we're supposed to do, like turn your screens off at night.
- 8:58I don't, I'm looking at social media until I doze off, but I
- 9:03will buy a bunch of things and then I sometimes forget and then
- 9:06it shows up and I'm like, Oh yeah, I forgot I ordered that.
- 9:10So online shopping. What's your most extra thing
- 9:13you've done in the name of efficiency?
- 9:16I know everybody uses AI now, right?
- 9:18Whether you're using ChatGPT or you're using one of the others
- 9:23out there. So I work a lot late at night on
- 9:26a night where I'm working on several projects.
- 9:29Maybe I'm doing research for a show.
- 9:31Maybe I've also got, you know, webinar I'm working on.
- 9:34Maybe I'm also writing some emails.
- 9:37I don't know if everybody does this, but I will have like 5
- 9:41different conversations going with the robots at the same time
- 9:46and then I give it a task and then I toggle to the next one
- 9:50and then I give that robot a task, then I toggle to the next
- 9:521. So it's almost like I have 5
- 9:54like employees going at one time working on different projects
- 9:57and that really helps with staying I guess effective.
- 10:02And I've got everything rolling at once while I'm waiting for
- 10:05their answers. What's something bougie about
- 10:08you that people might not expect?
- 10:11I would say taking us back to my packed refrigerator, something
- 10:17that's bougie about me is the food that I buy.
- 10:22Like I don't save much on food, although I will look at like the
- 10:27sales, you know, or what not. If these are the best eggs for
- 10:31me to buy, I'll buy only those eggs, even if they're double the
- 10:33price. If this is the best almond milk
- 10:36to drink, I will buy it. And I don't skimp on it.
- 10:39And I've kind of always been like, that's the one thing I
- 10:41won't skimp on. So bougie food, not like
- 10:43restaurant food, but like food that's in my house.
- 10:46What's your signature? I'm done.
- 10:48Move. So when everything's too much,
- 10:50you're like, I'm out. What's that move?
- 10:52That's definitely changed for me over the years.
- 10:56I guess I'm viewing this and like I'm done with someone or a
- 10:59situation or a thing. I would say silence, and that
- 11:05was not always how I operated, where if I was bothered by
- 11:09something, I was always very obviously bothered, right?
- 11:14And I would let it be known that I was bothered and have
- 11:17conversations. But as I've gotten older, that
- 11:20mind control is big, like, you know, controlling your own mind
- 11:24and your own emotions. And so I would say that silence
- 11:28is really, as soon as I'm done, I become silent because I care a
- 11:33lot. And I care a lot about the
- 11:35people I'm involved with in the projects that I'm involved with.
- 11:38But if I get a vibe that the care is like not coming back and
- 11:42that it's not equal, I will just walk away and become silent.
- 11:47And then there's nothing to get me to go back.
- 11:50What's the most on brand thing about you?
- 11:53Being as real as possible. Now, I would say like being
- 11:57totally authentic. I'd love to say that, right?
- 11:59But sometimes we can't be 100% real because sometimes the truth
- 12:03hurts. It would hurt somebody's
- 12:05feelings if you were 100% truthful.
- 12:07But I think that again, age, authenticity.
- 12:11I think that like being real and and telling people the truth and
- 12:14how I truly feel about things and not just making them feel
- 12:18better in the moment or putting out a fire.
- 12:20I think being real and authentic.
- 12:23If someone shadowed you for a week, what would exhaust them?
- 12:28How many people I talk to in a day, how many phone calls I
- 12:31have, how many different types of people that I talk to in a
- 12:34day, and how long those conversations are.
- 12:37I mean, there's sometimes at the end of a day where I will have
- 12:41had sometimes over 40 conversations during a day,
- 12:45right? One could be two minutes, one
- 12:47could be 40 minutes, like whatever.
- 12:48But it's a lot of conversations to keep all the balls in the
- 12:51air. Well, lastly, I'm speaking about
- 12:55the phone. If your phone battery guys, are
- 12:58you calm or is it the end of the world for you?
- 13:01Totally the end of the world. I will tell you this, I would
- 13:04never let it happen because I'm a planner, right?
- 13:08I'm a strategist. So if I'm going somewhere and
- 13:12I'm going to be gone for a long time, number one, my phone is
- 13:15always charged. You know, there's those memes,
- 13:18like there's two kinds of people in this world, one with the
- 13:20almost empty gas tank and one with the always full gas tank.
- 13:23Like that's me. I'm always prepared.
- 13:25And then if I'm going somewhere, say I'm going to be gone for
- 13:28hours, I bring one of those phone charger banks, right?
- 13:31The little chargers that you can plug into the bottom of your
- 13:33phone. So if I'm going somewhere for
- 13:35hours, I have one of those charged.
- 13:38But if my phone did die and I have seen it get down to like 10
- 13:42or 15%, I do start freaking out. If you had to give up just one
- 13:47social media or e-mail, which would go 1st?
- 13:50I have a feeling I know this answer just because we know
- 13:52about your e-mail. Yeah, definitely e-mail.
- 13:56If I never saw e-mail again, I would be happy.
- 13:59But I really enjoy social media now and like understand the
- 14:03purpose of it. You know, there's things that I
- 14:05scroll through, but I really do enjoy social media.
- 14:08I really didn't do a lot of any of those things before, but I'm
- 14:11enjoying it. But definitely if e-mail went
- 14:15away tomorrow, I would not miss it.
- 14:17What's something that brings you a disproportionate amount of
- 14:20joy? This is going to get like maybe
- 14:22some eye rolls or something because it's probably not the
- 14:26usual answer, but just hanging out with my husband.
- 14:31We have a really cool friendship relationship, you know, love
- 14:35affair, the whole thing. And when we can just kind of
- 14:38unwind together and hang out, it's the biggest joy of my life.
- 14:42What's one decision that changed the trajectory of your life?
- 14:46So I would say, if we're talking about my career, I would say
- 14:50leaving the safety of corporate America to start something in my
- 14:56own name and start my own company, knowing that I wanted
- 14:59something big. That was a huge change to make.
- 15:03And I did it after the age of 40.
- 15:05Also equally scary, right? Do people only want to do
- 15:09business with young entrepreneurs?
- 15:11But also just starting over and not having that safety of
- 15:14knowing what the salary is and all of that security that comes
- 15:18with it. What do you protect most
- 15:20fiercely? Your time, your energy, or your
- 15:24reputation? That's a great question.
- 15:27I would say at this point in my career, it is my energy.
- 15:33And what I mean by that is really only spending time on
- 15:39things that I think are healthy and good fit and like that
- 15:45energized me and that I feel like I can contribute to instead
- 15:49of just saying yes to everything, which at one point I
- 15:52did because I needed to to grow the company.
- 15:55So I think that I would say protecting my energy is what I
- 15:59protect the most of right now. When do you feel most powerful?
- 16:04Oh, I would say when a project that I'm working on or an idea
- 16:09that I've come up with comes to fruition, whether it's for me or
- 16:13for someone else, you know, some of the other companies that I
- 16:16work with or do some consulting for, when something really comes
- 16:19through, that is the best feeling in the world to me.
- 16:23I've worked really hard my entire life.
- 16:25I'll be 55 next month. I've been working at this pace
- 16:28since my late 20s. And when things come to fruition
- 16:32and something really works out, that is really the best feeling
- 16:36in the world. And then on the opposite end of
- 16:38that, what drains you instantly? Probably excuses that I will
- 16:45hear from people over time and lies.
- 16:50I can feel a lot and not claiming like in a psychic way,
- 16:56but like in an energy way. Like I can just tell like the
- 16:58room shifts when somebody's lying or giving me an excuse for
- 17:02something. And I just have no more patience
- 17:04for it anymore. I used to like try to get the
- 17:07truth out of it or try to turn it around and now I just like
- 17:10end the conversation. I don't want to hear it anymore.
- 17:13What's 1 compliment that means the most to you?
- 17:17I would say something about how I've positively impacted
- 17:22somebody elses life and like those compliments don't come
- 17:26that easy and it's not something that you hear every day.
- 17:29But sometimes in business or somebody that I've worked with
- 17:33or that reported up to me at one point, like sometimes somebody
- 17:38will write me a letter or an e-mail or something.
- 17:40And that is probably the biggest compliment because I truly
- 17:43believe that leaders create other leaders.
- 17:45So if something good comes about it for someone, then that really
- 17:49means a lot to me, and that's a huge compliment.
- 17:52What's your biggest pet peeve in business?
- 17:55One of them is zooms all day. You know, COVID created this
- 18:01energy where people just want to zoom all day long.
- 18:06And it's not even necessary to do like a morning huddle with
- 18:11your team. You can get on for like 1520
- 18:14minutes and everybody says hello to each other, you're alive, you
- 18:16see each other. But like, if you need to talk to
- 18:19those people all day long about other things, is it necessary?
- 18:22Do you have to see them? Can you just pick up the phone?
- 18:25I think it unfortunately causes people to become more sedentary.
- 18:29You can't walk around. You can't get up and move
- 18:31around. Some people are stuck doing
- 18:33Zooms. 8 hours, right? And you're just sitting and not
- 18:36moving. And on days when I have to do
- 18:38that, I look at my step counter like I wear a fitness device and
- 18:42I'm like, gosh, I didn't even move today.
- 18:45So that's a big pet peeve in business.
- 18:48And then kind of a silly one that I have to mention because
- 18:53something that annoys me and has for years, when somebody says to
- 18:58me, send me a calendar invite, I can't explain it, but it's the
- 19:03equivalent of somebody asking me to clean their shoes.
- 19:06Like, can you not keep your own calendar?
- 19:08If I say to somebody, I'm going to call you at 3:00 tomorrow,
- 19:12and then the response is send me a calendar invite, put it on
- 19:16your own calendar. I don't understand that.
- 19:19It's like they're telling you that you're beneath them or
- 19:23something. I don't like it, and I think
- 19:25it's weird. And those words have never come
- 19:28out of my mouth. I would never tell someone to
- 19:32send me an invite for a phone call.
- 19:34I think it's demeaning. So it's weird because people do
- 19:37it all day long. But for me, I don't like it.
- 19:39What's one thing people get wrong about you?
- 19:42So I would say that it's an overall concept meaning like
- 19:49people either think that I'm super nice and they'll get that
- 19:53wrong because I have a tough side when I have to be tough or
- 19:58people think that I'm really tough and I have a really soft
- 20:02side, right, You get what you give.
- 20:06So if. Somebody needs to see the tough
- 20:08side of me, they're going to see it.
- 20:10And if somebody needs to see the really soft side of me, they're
- 20:13going to see it. But I think there's like a mix
- 20:16sometimes where people think I'm just really tough and I've heard
- 20:19that, or I've also heard that people think, oh, you're too
- 20:23nice or you say yes all the time.
- 20:25So I think that that's something that people get wrong.
- 20:28I have both. What's the hill you'll die on
- 20:31professionally? Probably from the beginning of
- 20:35my career, I would say not apologizing for being ambitious.
- 20:43And I hate to say this because I don't like to get into like
- 20:46gender things, but as a woman, sometimes we're supposed to kind
- 20:51of shrink in the background. And I've always been super
- 20:54ambitious. If I'm going to do something, I
- 20:56do it all the way. And I think that's been viewed
- 20:59sometimes as too much or maybe I'm too much or whatever.
- 21:03But I don't apologize for it. If I'm too much for someone,
- 21:06then that's not my person, right?
- 21:07It's not a person for me to hang out with.
- 21:09But I would say that's the hill that I die on, is never
- 21:12apologizing for ambition. So Doctor Randy, what we're
- 21:16going to do now is actually get some of your opinions on some of
- 21:20the most popular aesthetic treatments.
- 21:22Obviously you've been in the space for a very long time, so I
- 21:24have a feeling you have a lot of opinions about all these
- 21:28different treatments and I'm assuming you've probably had
- 21:30some experience with some of these treatments, so would love
- 21:33to get some of your thoughts on those.
- 21:35OK, let's do it. Neurotoxin.
- 21:38I love it. I only started doing neurotoxins
- 21:42like 2 years ago but I would say that I think it's amazing.
- 21:47I use it for my upper forehead and eyes.
- 21:50I kind of vary and I think it's amazing.
- 21:53All right. What about preventative
- 21:55neurotoxin? What's your thoughts on that?
- 21:57I think it's great. I definitely missed that boat.
- 21:59I wish that I had been able to start doing preventative Botox
- 22:03when I was in my 20s and 30s, but unfortunately I was late to
- 22:07the game. But I think it's great for
- 22:09people today because there's certain expression lines that
- 22:11are going to form on your face, and if you can get ahead of it
- 22:14and knock them out, why not? What's your thoughts on lip
- 22:17filler? I think lip filler is great.
- 22:20I do a little bit of lip filler. I think as we age, most of us
- 22:24need some lip filler. But I think there's also a
- 22:28tendency to overdo lip filler. So sometimes I think it's too
- 22:32much. But I do definitely use lip
- 22:34filler, but with a maximum of usually 1/2 of a syringe.
- 22:40I think that when it overwhelms your face is too much.
- 22:44Cheek filler. Great.
- 22:46Definitely in. I think that it lifts the face.
- 22:49You know you can give yourself some more defined cheekbones and
- 22:52it gives you a nice lift. Jawline filler.
- 22:56I believe in it. I think it can define the jaw,
- 22:58helps kind of square off the face.
- 23:00I love it. I believe in it, I've seen it
- 23:02work. Chin filler.
- 23:05I think it works. I think it takes a lot of
- 23:07syringes. I think that people
- 23:09underestimate. They say, oh, I'm going to go
- 23:10get filler. So they think that, you know, 1
- 23:13syringe is going to do that. But as we've learned in doing
- 23:16the show, it does take a lot of syringes to do the jaw, the
- 23:19chin, all of that. But these are things that I do
- 23:22and have in my face, and I think it's effective.
- 23:24Under eye filler. That one is something that I
- 23:28wish I could erase from my past. In the past.
- 23:32I did a lot of under eye filler years ago and at one point I
- 23:39remember looking at some photos of myself and noticing that when
- 23:44I would smile, like my eyes looked very strange because I
- 23:48just had too much filler under my eyes.
- 23:50So then I decided to stop doing filler under my eyes and then I
- 23:54have a little poof under this right eye that will not go away.
- 23:59We've tried to dissolve it many times, it just doesn't go away.
- 24:01So I think there's just some filler trapped in there and as I
- 24:05understand, it's a tricky area to get it out of.
- 24:07So in hindsight, would I have ever done under eye filler?
- 24:11No. I think there are much more
- 24:12effective fillers for the under eye right now, but I'm not going
- 24:16to test them. Well, Speaking of filler, and
- 24:18you did kind of bring this up a moment ago, what are your
- 24:20thoughts about this recent trend of people dissolving their
- 24:23filler? Great question.
- 24:25I think that it is needed in certain circumstances.
- 24:28I think that we have learned that plastic surgery is more
- 24:31effective when fillers dissolved beforehand.
- 24:34I have had filler dissolved in a couple of places.
- 24:37I think in the right cases, you know, sometimes we put filler in
- 24:41and it doesn't look as good as we think.
- 24:42And I think that dissolving it is just fine.
- 24:45But I did learn recently from Doctor Nassif that you have to
- 24:48be careful with dissolving filler because you can dissolve
- 24:52it too much and then you can burn your own hyaluronic acid,
- 24:56meaning run out your own hyaluronic acid in that area.
- 24:59So we have to be careful. What about liquid rhinoplasty?
- 25:03What's your thoughts on that? I've seen it work.
- 25:06I tried it. I didn't see any results for me
- 25:09and now they're saying it's kind of risky.
- 25:10So for me, I stay away. Master Slimming.
- 25:14OK, that's another one that I've seen amazing results from, but I
- 25:18did hear that for women over 50 you should stay away from it
- 25:21because it could actually drop your jowls even more.
- 25:25So for me I'm staying away from it, but I have seen some great
- 25:28before and afters. Next up, we have laser
- 25:31resurfacing. I think it works.
- 25:34I think it's super effective. I think it's also cost
- 25:38effective. I think that the results last.
- 25:40That is a great treatment for the skin.
- 25:43What about CO2 lasers? 100% believe in them.
- 25:47I've had four CO2 treatments made an enormous difference in
- 25:51my skin. If I had to say cumulatively
- 25:55what I think that those four CO2 treatments did for my skin, I
- 25:59did 4 treatments in four years. I think that it took 10 years
- 26:03off of my skin. Like the sun damage, I brought
- 26:06back my skin health. I have not done one in a long
- 26:09time, but I think that the ones that I did really left an
- 26:12impact. And I recommend for people
- 26:16probably in their 40s and 50s that really want to have an
- 26:19impact on their skin and not just the light treatment, then
- 26:23it can be super effective. Skin tightening energy devices.
- 26:28I do believe in them. It is something that you have to
- 26:31do regularly and making sure that you keep up with it because
- 26:36otherwise you get behind on it. But I think it's very effective.
- 26:39I've had them before. What about neck tightening
- 26:42devices? So I've not had a neck
- 26:45tightening device, but I've heard great things from some
- 26:49people and I've also heard others say it was too late for
- 26:52me. And we know the neck really does
- 26:54show the aging first. So I think that you have to get
- 26:57there within the right window of time for the neck.
- 27:00And then similar, what about non surgical jawline sculpting?
- 27:05I think same. I think that if you get there in
- 27:07the right time that you can tighten it up before you'll need
- 27:11surgery. I think eventually, you know,
- 27:13these devices and things lead to a point where hey, it's time for
- 27:18surgical intervention, but I think that there's a great 20
- 27:22year window where these devices make a huge difference.
- 27:25What about lower facelifting without surgery?
- 27:29So I think that between the devices and injectables, you can
- 27:34get somewhat of a lift, but there is a point where gravity
- 27:39takes over and you have to start talking to a plastic surgeon.
- 27:43So I think it just depends on what stage you're at, but I
- 27:46think it's can be very effective.
- 27:48What about body contouring treatments?
- 27:51So I have had many body contouring treatments before my
- 27:56wedding and different times, you know, trying all of the
- 27:58different treatments. I think they can be very
- 28:02effective, but it needs to be maintained.
- 28:05Like you can't go ahead and have body contouring treatment and
- 28:10then go and eat pizza and cookies nonstop for a month and
- 28:13expect that your body is going to stay that way.
- 28:16I think that the body contouring devices are more geared for
- 28:20people who are in shape and then kind of defining that shape and
- 28:24helping you stick to it. Muscle building devices.
- 28:27I think that they are effective. The muscle stimulation,
- 28:30obviously when you can get the equivalent of 30,000 crunches in
- 28:3530 minutes or whatever that formula is, I think it can work.
- 28:39But again, like I said about the body contouring, it's something
- 28:41that you have to keep up with. And I think that you have to be
- 28:44in some type of shape to begin with, right?
- 28:47If you go in and you're completely out of shape, I don't
- 28:50think you're going to show ABS right overnight.
- 28:53My husband's done some of the muscle building devices and it
- 28:57was effective, but then if he got out of the gym or didn't
- 29:00keep up with it, it went away. So I definitely think it's
- 29:03something that you need to maintain.
- 29:05In a similar vein, definitely one of the hottest topics GLP 1
- 29:09weight loss treatments. I think that this is changing
- 29:13our world. You've probably heard me say it.
- 29:16I mean we have one out of eight people in this country are on
- 29:20GLP ones. I think that number is just
- 29:22going to keep growing. Weight loss medication is the
- 29:25future. I think that people have been on
- 29:28different medications over time. It's working for them.
- 29:31I think that the micro dosing is something we're going to see
- 29:35more of over time. I think it's very effective and
- 29:39I think it's helping people improve their health and coming
- 29:43out with some great results. So I fully supported and I just
- 29:46hope we continue doing research and elevating what's available
- 29:50out there. Hair Restoration.
- 29:53I think that hair restoration is also going to continue to grow
- 29:57and be very hot this year. I think that hair loss
- 30:00partnering with. Unfortunately, weight loss is
- 30:03something that happens when people lose weight rapidly, they
- 30:05lose hair and they find themselves shedding hair.
- 30:09And I think that we're going to find this all partnered together
- 30:12a little bit more. And I, I think that even just in
- 30:16general, as we age, our hair thins.
- 30:18And I think that that conversation is getting bigger
- 30:21each day and coming up with solutions.
- 30:24I myself wear a red light therapy helmet every night.
- 30:28And I think that that is something that's just going to
- 30:32continue to grow the products and the services that are in
- 30:35that category. Let's move on to some skin care
- 30:39related ones. So first up, medical grade skin
- 30:42care. So I fully believe in it.
- 30:45I'm all about skin care, medical grade skin care, skin health.
- 30:50I use a medical grade red light therapy mask.
- 30:53Everything that I can use that's medical grade just works faster
- 30:57than, you know, something that is not.
- 30:59So why not use medical grade skin care?
- 31:03Retinol. Absolutely.
- 31:06Almost every night of my life. Vitamin C.
- 31:09So I think that vitamin C is not for everyone, but I do think
- 31:14that you can maybe find a formulation that works for you.
- 31:17But I love vitamin C. Barrier Repair.
- 31:21Skin Care. I think it's very necessary.
- 31:24I think we use a lot of actives on our skin like retinol, like
- 31:28vitamin CI. Think that making sure that that
- 31:31barrier stays in place will help us with the anti aging process.
- 31:34I use some type of barrier skin repair everyday.
- 31:38Peptides. Peptides for the skin I believe
- 31:42in, I use something called copper peptides on my face a few
- 31:47times a week. I fully believe in it.
- 31:49It's blue and it's very unique looking product.
- 31:53Wasn't sure what to think of it. Tried it, but I think it's great
- 31:56and it had great effects for my skin.
- 31:58And I think, you know, for each person, just like foods that we
- 32:01write don't agree with everyone. So I think you have to find your
- 32:05skin care regimen that works best.
- 32:07And similar to skin care regiment skin cycling.
- 32:11I believe in skin cycling. I think that, you know, rotating
- 32:15your products that you can get everything in because I think
- 32:18that like putting 7 serums on your face, you're not really
- 32:21able to get the effects of all of them.
- 32:24That might be too much. But if you rotate your products,
- 32:26I think that you'll get the best results in that skin cycling.
- 32:30And then what's your thoughts on slugging?
- 32:33My skin slugging is like basically, you know, putting as
- 32:37much of the occlusive products on your face, like very
- 32:40hydrating and thick. And I will say that probably one
- 32:45or two nights a week I do that where it's a very heavy layer of
- 32:49moisture and not everybody's skin can handle that.
- 32:52But at my age I need as much moisture as I can get, like oils
- 32:56and heavy products on the skin. That is the last question.
- 33:00So Randy, thank you so much for answering all the questions.
- 33:03I bet everybody is happy to hear all those answers, especially
- 33:07because you're usually the one asking the questions.
- 33:09You did a great job today, Bronson.
- 33:11And yes, it's definitely a different feeling being on the
- 33:14other side of the questions, but it was fun and thank you for
- 33:18doing that and thank you for everybody listening today.
- 33:21So next week we are back pushing the industry forward again and
- 33:25the conversation continues.
