Transcript
- 0:00Hello there, it's time for most things Kenobi.
- 0:05I prefer all things Kenobi, but I suppose that's not the Jedi
- 0:09way as long as it's not all things Anakin.
- 0:26Hi everyone, welcome to another episode of most.
- 0:28Thanks Kenobi. A podcast about Obi-Wan Kenobi
- 0:31and all things Star Wars. I'm your host Lauren, and I'm
- 0:34your host Leanne, and this week, we are carrying on, with our
- 0:38Citadel conversation. This is the counter-attack,
- 0:42episode is the second of the three.
- 0:44Yeah, more shit happens. More shit.
- 0:47Goes down. A lot of shit goes down.
- 0:49Sad, sad, heartbreaking, stuff. This is a, it's the Crux of the
- 0:55three. Three.
- 0:56So I'm not surprised. It's this weird mix of like
- 1:00horrible stuff and everyone looks beautiful.
- 1:03Well, that is a good point, isn't it?
- 1:08Truly though, the lighting on this planet, does things to a
- 1:12lot of these Jedi. Yeah, they look really hot.
- 1:16They look even good. A SoCal looks hot.
- 1:18Everybody is just gorgeous. And I'm here for it.
- 1:22Tarkin doesn't look hot. No, no dark.
- 1:25And looks like a frail. Whisper of a human.
- 1:36For those of you who love my Wheezy laugh.
- 1:42Oh, God wasn't expecting. That he is a whisper of a human,
- 1:46isn't he? I can't.
- 1:53He's all gaunt and thin and annoying.
- 1:58He is. He is so annoying.
- 1:59He is sour. He's a sour human being and I
- 2:04Love to hate him on the side. Yeah, he's look we can't deny
- 2:10the impact, he's had in cinema, you know in cinematic history
- 2:14and if this is his debut it's a hell of a debut because he is he
- 2:19is true to himself in these episodes as we know him in the
- 2:24brief time that we know him in a New Hope.
- 2:28Yeah, in fact I think the New Hope isn't Luke.
- 2:31It's actually the fact that Target God bless.
- 2:33That's it away. There's A New Hope in the galaxy
- 2:38and it's one that doesn't involve him.
- 2:41Oh my God. Yes.
- 2:42Because he even like in bad bad. She's a monster the monster,
- 2:47which I find really funny because after watching this
- 2:50episode, you see how Harkin is a coward?
- 2:54Totally. Totally.
- 2:57He's always like pressed against the wall like afraid of being
- 3:01near the edge and wouldn't ya? It starts up, he hides and like,
- 3:05well, a Soca runs to the front to protect everybody Harkin goes
- 3:09to hide. And he has the nerve to question
- 3:13like the Jedi and their involvement in all of this.
- 3:17Is it because you feel small Tarkin?
- 3:20Yeah. What is his rank down?
- 3:21Is he just a commander right now?
- 3:23I actually don't remember. I don't either, but he's a wimp
- 3:26clearly, he goes up in the ranks because his friends with
- 3:30Palpatine. Does anyone remember the
- 3:32Seinfeld I sewed where there's George Costanza said a house
- 3:37party and there's a fire in the apartment and he's the first one
- 3:40to run out of the apartment and he pushes the grandma out of the
- 3:44way to get out of that. Is that is Target oh my God.
- 3:48You're so right Darkness, George Costanza Chuck.
- 3:51It is George Costanza in an apartment fire is screaming,
- 3:55fire fire. Just knock a guy from harming
- 3:58people. Have the Jesus.
- 4:02You're so right though. Oh, and I think we see that even
- 4:05more in the next one, we're like the.
- 4:07Hmm. The threat kind of closes in on
- 4:10him. He uses other people as like a
- 4:12shield to protect himself because he never lifts a finger
- 4:16to protect himself. No, he's all talk.
- 4:19Yeah, and he talks a lot. He does.
- 4:21He's like an orator for sure. Yeah.
- 4:25I I think there's a comic though that talks about his past and he
- 4:29has like this, I have not read it, so I could be completely
- 4:33talking out of turn. But it seemed that there was
- 4:35some sort of like, really brutal rite of passage or something in
- 4:39his childhood like his childhood home or something.
- 4:41Where he's supposed to really beat a person bare fisted or
- 4:44something like that. I don't know if I'm accurate on
- 4:48this. It's one of those newer Comics,
- 4:50you remember they had the series where was like Heroes of the
- 4:52Republic villain. Yeah.
- 4:54The republic or whatever it was. Yeah and that's I think that's
- 4:57in the Tarkin one, which I want to read Because I read it now.
- 5:02I'm curious because Thing implies he's like a bit of a
- 5:05weenie when it comes to like physical stuff but maybe not.
- 5:10Maybe that's just a choice that he doesn't need to exert the
- 5:14effort because there's other people to do it for him.
- 5:17He's totally the type to surround himself.
- 5:20We see it in this episode and the next one, he's, he's
- 5:24exactly. As you said when shit goes down,
- 5:26he cowers back and hides and stuff.
- 5:29And, and he would totally surround himself with the Upper
- 5:34people to ensure his safety while never lifting a finger to
- 5:37ensure it himself. Mmm.
- 5:39Yeah. Would watch Anakin Ahsoka the
- 5:42Clones all go down before he ever lifted a finger to save
- 5:44himself. That's what I believe.
- 5:46I think so too. And and not even maybe because
- 5:50he's a coward or maybe because he's so calculating, that he'll
- 5:54preserve his own energy until he has to use it, you know, it's
- 5:57just either way, he's a really interesting.
- 6:02So, Annoying character annoying. But that's not to say, we don't
- 6:07appreciate the voice actor and what he brings to this character
- 6:11because he's His Name Escapes me now.
- 6:14But do you happen to remember because he's fantastic at it, he
- 6:17brings that dry annoying like spoiled child are to the voice.
- 6:24Hmm, I think it's Stephen Stanton is who does his voice?
- 6:29That's how it's absolute sounds, right?
- 6:32Yeah, he's great. I think he might be the guy who
- 6:35voice is 0. B, 1 in Rebels.
- 6:37I got to look now because that's crazy.
- 6:40What? Yeah, cuz they were gonna use.
- 6:43I think they were going to use James Arnold Taylor, Maybe not.
- 6:45But then, they had someone in the office or in like the studio
- 6:50while Sam Witwer was reading his lines and they just used whoever
- 6:55was there at the time, how interesting and they liked it so
- 6:59much. They just decided to use that
- 7:01actor as Obi-Wan because he was doing The voice.
- 7:04So effectively, see the talents of a voice actor.
- 7:08Right? It's crazy.
- 7:10Ya. Stephen Stanton.
- 7:12Voiced Ben Kenobi in Revelation 2.
- 7:14Wow, that's amazing. Well it was only a few lines.
- 7:17So he did a great job and honestly I don't hear Tarkin in
- 7:22his ob1 at all. So that's I mean, is so
- 7:25mind-blowing how good these voice actors are?
- 7:28Well, the name of this episode is counter-attack because
- 7:31basically the Citadel itself, Of is counter-attacking.
- 7:36He can't sing causing problems for the very Savvy.
- 7:41Clones and Jedi who are there to rescue these annoying asses of
- 7:46Target. Well, he's the only noise really
- 7:49because Evan peel is is not annoying.
- 7:53He's lovely know. He's, he's a badass.
- 7:56He's a little tough solid creature.
- 7:59I don't know the name of his species.
- 8:01I don't either. But he's tough, and he's
- 8:05awesome. And he is Hardy to the very end.
- 8:08This is the episode that we lose Echo, right?
- 8:12There's where we think we do. That's the my God, it's so
- 8:16awful. If you haven't seen the last and
- 8:18it's fast, it is it's fast and they don't linger.
- 8:24No, they don't linger for anybody, anyone who dies,
- 8:27because like, we've had a lot to keep moving with.
- 8:30We've got to keep going now. That we know bad batch.
- 8:35Hmm. Did you happen to read what they
- 8:38think? Or have theorized what happened
- 8:40to Echo after he allegedly died. There what happened?
- 8:45Apparently, I don't it's really graphic but there's like there's
- 8:49theories and artwork about it online and it's very troubling
- 8:54to look at. And read just the tortures stuff
- 8:57that he went through. It makes I love him so dearly.
- 9:00Yeah, who we learn about in bad batch?
- 9:03Like who he becomes after the fact, after all of this.
- 9:06But this is the episode where he dies and they do leave them and
- 9:10they don't really show too much that he's dead.
- 9:13So I can see why they brought him back in a sense, and did he
- 9:17die or, and they brought him back to life.
- 9:20Or did they did? He not die?
- 9:22He just barely held on. I, I noticed you after the
- 9:26explosion, they cut to Echoes helmet falling on the ground.
- 9:30Yes. And right next to it is a Droid
- 9:32arm. The symbol is yeah.
- 9:35I was like I don't know if they had his story planned out if
- 9:38they did and that was foreshadowing.
- 9:41That's fucking brilliant. Yeah, that is brilliant.
- 9:45Oh you know what I'm sure Dave. Filoni like Drew something?
- 9:50You know he has a drawing somewhere.
- 9:52Yeah, probably where I bet you he he knows his material so well
- 9:58that he would look at that and it would Inspire him or or maybe
- 10:03there was Is some Force. I who knows?
- 10:05That's a lot of force. Yeah.
- 10:06Like 10 years or longer. Yeah, that's crazy.
- 10:09What if they went back and looked at it and said, hey, wait
- 10:13a second. Look at this.
- 10:14Maybe we can pull from this, you know, well, knowing George
- 10:18Lucas. It was planned out for a really
- 10:21long time. Well, that's a whole other
- 10:23story. Yeah.
- 10:23Like you know it's just a font of information that just never
- 10:30ends. I brilliant anyway.
- 10:33Jedi split up in this episode and it's chaos.
- 10:36Hmm, just constant chaos. Yeah, Anakin is leading Tarkin
- 10:41and his group through the underground tunnels and op1 is
- 10:46going through the building through the, like, the vents in
- 10:51the events. It's never good.
- 10:53It never works. Nope.
- 10:57And it doesn't work. In this case, they can't make it
- 11:00to the ship. They almost make it to the ship.
- 11:03If yeah, that no one is having a good time.
- 11:07No, no. They keep going to places that
- 11:09no one wants to Vacation. You know, their planets out
- 11:14there that I would love to vacation at.
- 11:16This is not one of them, is no one of them know they're like
- 11:19apart from Echo. There's also a couple other
- 11:22horrible clone death, they're terrible and they just leave
- 11:26them. Yes, I'm hearing one of them.
- 11:28There's nothing you could do couldn't know, carry that.
- 11:31It would he was literally cut in half by the Doors.
- 11:34That is one of the most horrifying things I've seen on
- 11:38that show. Yeah.
- 11:39And they didn't look you don't have so you don't have to see
- 11:42it. It's just I don't know.
- 11:44Heidi is plenty implied, it's it is terrible.
- 11:50Although I love how Master peel can really climb.
- 11:53Oh my gosh, yes, I know everyone's Rogers is right up
- 11:56there like a little like a little troll.
- 11:58He's just a little like Zippy troll going up the going up the
- 12:01shaft there, whatever. That thing is the You know, and
- 12:04that was pretty. That's awful.
- 12:05It was badass that when he was going after the Droid and cut it
- 12:08in half, if he could go that fast.
- 12:10Why was he taking his sweet-ass time the whole time?
- 12:14I don't know. I don't know.
- 12:16Yeah and then there's the other clone who gets shot in the head
- 12:18when they're interrogating, peel and Obi-Wan and all of them I
- 12:23just I can't believe some of the stuff they do.
- 12:26I clone or sometimes. Again, it's the classic.
- 12:29Is it a kid show, really? That's, that's pretty good.
- 12:33Graphic it's pretty gruesome. I mean they're careful to not
- 12:37show it explicitly right? But it's plenty.
- 12:41Well when you think of the story of a clone it there's so
- 12:45Expendable at this point. Yeah and I do love how Full
- 12:49Circle we come with bad batch. Hmm.
- 12:52You know even recently even more so in these last couple episodes
- 12:57that just came out. Yeah, but at this point, you can
- 13:00literally see how they were. Born and bred to be Expendable
- 13:07and honestly some of the shit that Tarkin is muttering and
- 13:12Anakin's are. I mean Anakin's like annoyed
- 13:14with him too, but there's just enough truth that makes them
- 13:17pause. You know what I mean?
- 13:19And I do love their little standoff.
- 13:20Yeah, that occurs when they're walking you can almost sense
- 13:26that Anakin is trying to like convince himself that what he's
- 13:29saying back to Target his true. Like defending the Jedi and
- 13:32defending the war and This and their beliefs, and their values
- 13:35and things. But damn the the stark contrast
- 13:39of all of this, plus the expendability of the Clones.
- 13:42It's just kind of it's a little unsettling.
- 13:44Yeah, definitely. Well especially gosh, I wish you
- 13:49could you had Disney plus right now because the last episode of
- 13:52bad batch was all about this, the expendability know, all
- 13:56about it because oh yeah I guess you re o qu Chi is involved.
- 13:59I read it. So I've read all the spoilers
- 14:02I've seen All the clips. I've seen everything I've seen
- 14:05it and I love her and I love what they're doing.
- 14:08It's so smart spoil. We're not going to spoil it.
- 14:11Yeah. Because like the way they bring
- 14:14well spoiler here, I guess but the way they bring Palpatine
- 14:17into the argument of whether or not the Clones are expendable is
- 14:21brilliant. It's super smart and it ties
- 14:25into this what you're talking about right now.
- 14:28It really does and I have I wrote down.
- 14:31What Tarkin Anakin's say to each other because So interested
- 14:34good. It is it really is.
- 14:36It's probably like my favorite moment.
- 14:40There's a lot of moments throughout this, you know, they
- 14:41all look good. There's some great lightsaber
- 14:44things going on. They blow up some rocks.
- 14:46You know? There's a lot of fun things in
- 14:48this episode, but this is like the meat of the episode for me,
- 14:52is there exchange? It is because it's the bigger
- 14:56symbol the bigger argument everything and Tarkin says, he's
- 15:01talking about how he still doesn't Really trust the Jedi,
- 15:04he might trust Anakin but not the Jedi in general and he says
- 15:08I find their tactics ineffective, the Jedi Code
- 15:10prevents them from going far enough to achieve Victory to do,
- 15:14whatever it takes to win, the very reason why peacekeepers
- 15:17should not be leading a war. And Anakin says, I've also found
- 15:23that we sometimes fall short of Victory because of our methods,
- 15:28it's a lot. It's a lot to take in because
- 15:33neither of them are totally, right?
- 15:34And neither of them are totally wrong and it was purposefully
- 15:38written this way, right? But it's the intent behind what
- 15:42they're saying. That is that is what is Anakin
- 15:45mean. Is he agreeing, is he not
- 15:48agreeing is Victory important at the cost of your own morality.
- 15:53Like I mean we're literally watching clones, drop left and
- 15:57right throughout this episode. Yeah, I just it gives me
- 16:04goosebumps. I have a little bit of
- 16:05Goosebumps because what we know ends up happening, it's very
- 16:09interesting. It is and Target.
- 16:12Like you said, tarkan's not really wrong, but it doesn't
- 16:16mean that he is morally, right? Correct.
- 16:19You know, like peacekeepers leading a war and like not doing
- 16:23whatever it takes to win. Is there a circumstance where
- 16:27that's doing? Whatever it takes to win?
- 16:30Like, we say that, that's kind of what the rebels are doing.
- 16:33When they're fighting the Empire, they're doing whatever
- 16:35it takes for win. Oh totally.
- 16:37The I use my enemies. I'm forced to use my enemies
- 16:41weapons. Whatever it was exactly.
- 16:42You haven't written from you. What is this?
- 16:44A, I have it right here. This is luthan speech from.
- 16:47And or what is My Sacrifice? I'm condemned to use the tools
- 16:51of my enemy to defeat them. Exactly.
- 16:55Is it worth it? I burned my decency for someone
- 16:58else's future. I burned my life too.
- 17:00A sunrise that I know I'll never see.
- 17:02So he's admitting right here. Lutheran, is that he burns his
- 17:05decency? Which is what Tarkin is saying
- 17:08is necessary. Sometimes I love the depth of
- 17:11this right now. Do I really do me too?
- 17:13Because this brings up questions throughout Star Wars.
- 17:17We see it in and or not just with Lutheran, but like the
- 17:21means that they go through just save each other one another to
- 17:27preserve. I mean, the Rebellion is Not cut
- 17:30and dry, it's not all good, guys versus all bad guys.
- 17:34Everyone, no matter what side believes in something, right?
- 17:39Right? Exactly.
- 17:41It's the means that they go about executing to reach
- 17:45whatever their belief is that separates good from bad, right?
- 17:50And then there are like, Obi-Wan, I think is a really
- 17:52good character to represent, he doesn't believe that the ends
- 17:56justify the means he has had to do that from time to time, but
- 18:00Admittedly, that's what his argument is to Anakin, when
- 18:03Anakin Falls and Revenge of the Sith saying that you're becoming
- 18:07the thing that you swore to protect everyone against, you're
- 18:12becoming the evil that we're supposed to despise like, yeah.
- 18:16So here's what I think Anakin actually meant when he said that
- 18:20what was the line? He said, I've often found that
- 18:22we, sometimes fall short of Victory because of our methods.
- 18:26So, in my interpretation because we've seen it in episodes
- 18:30throughout the Clone Wars leading up.
- 18:32To this point Anakin would totally finish off somebody.
- 18:37We saw it in the kadavo ark, he had a lightsaber pressed against
- 18:40the zygerrians neck, and he was about to kill the person to get
- 18:45info and Annika. I'm sorry.
- 18:47Ahsoka, stayed his hand? Yeah.
- 18:50In that instance, I think Anakin would have got the info or
- 18:53killed him. No problem without Ahsoka being
- 18:55there. Yes.
- 18:57Yeah, I agree. I think so.
- 18:59And See that in this exchange to because Tarkin says something
- 19:04about Ahsoka, reveals her shortsightedness, when she says
- 19:07the place is horrible, right? And yeah, but then Anakin says
- 19:11he's not wrong. And if so could give him this
- 19:13look like what the fuck? Are you talking about?
- 19:16You and me, and everyone here. Excuse me, like, exactly.
- 19:22I beg your fucking pardon. Yeah.
- 19:24Because again, it was kind of implying that the ends justify
- 19:27the means, like, if we had possession of the No, we'd be
- 19:30putting people in the prison, it's going to exist, whether we
- 19:33own it or the separatists own it, we might as well get our
- 19:36hands on it. And she's like, what are you
- 19:38talking about? I'm sorry.
- 19:40This is a direct link to Lord of the Rings.
- 19:43Everyone said, if we had the ring Boromir said I had the ring
- 19:47in Gondor had the ring. We be able to put it to good use
- 19:51and that is just not even a fucking option, right?
- 19:53It's not an option here because it's not a good thing.
- 19:56The Citadel is not a good thing, the ring wasn't a good thing.
- 19:59It turns Everyone dark essentially, it corrupted them,
- 20:04because its purpose. Its purpose is Darkness.
- 20:08Yes, exactly. Yes God.
- 20:10I love Lord of the Rings. Sorry, first thing I thought of
- 20:14was like, everybody was just like, well if we had that as a
- 20:19weapon, we could defeat him hand over fist.
- 20:21It's like not so much. No that's not how this works.
- 20:24Same thing with a fucking prison.
- 20:26It's gonna corrupt you if you're part of it.
- 20:28Yeah. It So smart.
- 20:30I love it so much. I know it's so good.
- 20:33This is this isn't so much about breaking down the episode but
- 20:37breaking down the fucking hidden.
- 20:39The hidden gems that are embedded throughout this
- 20:42episode. Yeah.
- 20:43They're telling a story through the means of like separating the
- 20:47Jedi and having them try to get out of this situation that they
- 20:49found themselves in. But it's really the underlying
- 20:52the undercurrent here is what is actually going on and you said
- 20:57it last week with the colors and the symbolism that.
- 20:59Underneath there's an undercurrent of nastiness and
- 21:03poison and it's the same theme in this episode 2.
- 21:06Yeah. Yeah I that's why I love Clone
- 21:09Wars because you can watch it for entertainment.
- 21:11It's fun. There's fun action.
- 21:15It's funny. There's the constant bickering
- 21:17between Obi-Wan and Anakin and Obi-Wan or Anakin Ahsoka.
- 21:21It's funny that too but then if you want to start digging down,
- 21:26you start to see how it's it's not even, it doesn't even have
- 21:29to Of to be on purpose. In Star Wars, the nature of the
- 21:32kind of stories that Star Wars tells tie into these kind of
- 21:37more morality questions, so it's always there.
- 21:40You can always start to dig in and look for them and that's why
- 21:44you can tie and or to clone wars and they were never intended to
- 21:49be connected. There's no way that was possibly
- 21:51Tony Gilroy probably had no idea what Clone Wars was about.
- 21:56Yes, no reverence for strong horse at all.
- 22:00Oh, he is just brilliant and good at what he does.
- 22:04A story can be told without direct connections because if
- 22:09there's a theme, you can present that.
- 22:12It's, it's all Humanity truly. Yeah.
- 22:15It is, it's a mirror to and it doesn't matter if the humans are
- 22:17in space or not. So exactly.
- 22:20I love Star Wars. Oh my God.
- 22:22It's why we have a podcast, the only other observation I I had
- 22:30was about the landscape because we're like in it more than this.
- 22:34Yes we are. And I know one thing that I love
- 22:37about clone wars and it's animation which we take for
- 22:41granted if you watch other cartoons.
- 22:43Nobody Does this is that they create cinematic atmosphere.
- 22:48So there's like little specks Of Cinders floating in the air and
- 22:52like the light changes. No one takes time to do that
- 22:56sort of thing except clone wars and it You're very right.
- 23:00It's so beautiful and unnecessary, but it really is a
- 23:04beautiful addition. And then I kind of noticed that
- 23:07the landscape looks like sea corals and sea scallop.
- 23:12I do ever. Yeah.
- 23:13Yeah. It's almost like it was a notion
- 23:15that was revealed. I don't know.
- 23:17I just, it looks really neat. Well, that reminds me of the
- 23:20desert Southwest, oh, of the United States.
- 23:24Which was once an ocean and all of those rocks in the, the
- 23:28formations in the And and the sagebrush and all of that was
- 23:31all ocean at one point. Yeah.
- 23:33And now it's this beautiful. You know the Grand Canyon alone
- 23:37if you will. Yeah.
- 23:39You can find shark teeth. Sometimes it not.
- 23:41I don't know if you're drinking and but even here in Illinois,
- 23:43if you dig in some of the Sandstone, yeah, you can find
- 23:46shark teeth. It's like prehistoric, pretty
- 23:48crazy. Now you got me wondering about
- 23:52geology on this planet. I'm curious about the Star Wars
- 23:58Planet Lola, Lola. So you know what?
- 24:01If it would have been her name was Lola.
- 24:04She was an ocean. It's all right.
- 24:10I'm not continuing. That's odd.
- 24:14Oh my God. It could have been made.
- 24:16Who knows? Maybe that was the catastrophic
- 24:18event that exposed. The world's core.
- 24:21I love it. Oh, if it was heated up from the
- 24:23center and there's all that magma in the center and it
- 24:26evaporated the oceans and then write it erupted.
- 24:30That could happen boiled away the Seas.
- 24:32Wow, I love that. I love that so much.
- 24:34That's crazy. But now, is it an obvious
- 24:37connection to Mustafar and Anakin's future?
- 24:40And the fact that Tarkin he meets Tarkin on a lava Planet,
- 24:44could be all these terrible things happen on lava planets.
- 24:48That's cause it's not a safe place to hang out.
- 24:51So it's not what am I saying? I mean, it's amazing.
- 24:57It's beautiful. It's actually instead of Div
- 25:00lava is actually creating it does but very much does it'll
- 25:05still burn your bones away if you touch it it's a perfect
- 25:14location to meet Tarkin it really is.
- 25:17Yeah it is so much because of that symbolism of it being one
- 25:23thing on the surface and dangerous underneath you know,
- 25:28that's so Target but it's you. Could say the same thing about
- 25:31Anakin and that hurts my heart. Okay.
- 25:33Yeah, you're so right. Oh my God, it's true.
- 25:35There's two different. There's two different things at
- 25:38play here, though. Target is inherently bad Anakin
- 25:42struggled and then went through phases.
- 25:45Yeah, it's a phase, it's a phase.
- 25:51It lasted, most of his daughter, Maria, 40 years, phase of
- 25:54Cruelty and evil but he'll grow out of it.
- 25:57I swear. Sorry.
- 26:00But I mean, like, I don't think well, you could make the
- 26:03argument that nobody's evil when they're born.
- 26:05Well, in in mythology, there definitely is the character who
- 26:09is born to destroy. Like they're these their fate
- 26:14so, and from the episodes we've done about the, what is it?
- 26:19I was going to say the fates reach, it's not the face, what
- 26:23is it? The midi-chlorians the wills,
- 26:26the wills the wills? Yeah, that they Created Anakin
- 26:31on purpose to be the chosen one to fall.
- 26:35I know be redeemed, like it's all on purpose.
- 26:39So it that's what's so heartbreaking, as he tried to be
- 26:42good for so long, even though he was never intended to be for his
- 26:47whole life, I have a bone to pick with the will because yeah
- 26:51and and yes, I'm speaking about the wheels but with a much
- 26:56larger sense in my life so I have a bone to pick with the
- 26:59Wheels in the fact that how dare you pluck, an innocent person
- 27:06and say, you will be the instrument of countless deaths,
- 27:09countless pain suffering Etc because we need something else
- 27:13to happen. Yeah.
- 27:15Is that how everything works? If that's the case.
- 27:17What the fuck is going on? This is a much larger and I'm
- 27:23not smart enough to talk about it subject, but I have
- 27:25questions. You're reminding me that like
- 27:27even Judas, right? It was right.
- 27:31Chosen to be the betrayer like he did choose that.
- 27:35Like that's what happened. I mean, maybe he made choices
- 27:38that led to that but it was like his Destiny to do that.
- 27:42Hooray, when they're born would would say this is the life, I'm
- 27:46going to pick for myself. I'm gonna betray and murder even
- 27:53by proxy by accident and then go mad and hang myself in the
- 27:57desert. Like no one picks that when
- 27:59they're born. And, you know, so there are
- 28:01these, these characters that are faded for these awful things and
- 28:05at least and at least Anakin got to redeem himself, not everyone
- 28:09gets that in mythology at least, you know, it's true.
- 28:14I mean, we've talked about it with Obi-Wan, like, why so much
- 28:16pain and loss in one person's life?
- 28:19Well, it's shapes it, you know, in Buddhism, suffering, leads to
- 28:24Enlightenment, you can't grow. Without the pain, and the
- 28:28suffering. Right.
- 28:30So there's there's so many things we could talk about.
- 28:33Seriously, I was like, this is, how did we get here?
- 28:35I have no deep. It is a really is God the Clone
- 28:39Wars man. Right?
- 28:42Right shit. Our audience question this week,
- 28:52is it goes back to what we were talking about.
