- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, guys, welcome back to Wisecracks. Bill Krackenberger, John Orlando, John,
- 0:04Speaker 1: what's going on? How you been doing? How's everything going?
- 0:06Speaker 1: How's the World Series is coming coming up? Next? Weesday?
- 0:09Speaker 1: Next Tuesday?
- 0:10Speaker 2: Event number one?
- 0:11Speaker 1: Wait? Wait, wait, not like five days from now, week
- 0:13Speaker 1: from the weekend? Now?
- 0:14Speaker 2: Yes, next Tuesday?
- 0:15Speaker 1: All right, well, six day the five.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Hundred dollars Mystery Mini Mystery Millions.
- 0:20Speaker 3: So it's the event I played last year, event number one,
- 0:23Speaker 3: only this year they dropped the buy in to five
- 0:27Speaker 3: hundred and they're calling it the Mini Mystery Millions. And
- 0:29Speaker 3: then later in the series they're doing the regular one
- 0:31Speaker 3: that I did last year.
- 0:32Speaker 1: The question everyone wants to know, John, what is the
- 0:34Speaker 1: rake at the five hundred dollars tournament?
- 0:35Speaker 2: Who cares? It doesn't matter who cares.
- 0:38Speaker 1: I think Caesars is charging sixteen.
- 0:42Speaker 2: I could look on the apple, we'll say it.
- 0:45Speaker 1: I don't think I don't think they want you to know. No, yeah,
- 0:48Speaker 1: I don't think they want you to know. But however,
- 0:50Speaker 1: World Series of Pokers.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Wait, but you admitted yesterday I said to you because
- 0:55Speaker 3: I brought up some points.
- 0:57Speaker 1: You have some valid points. They're hosting it their bringing
- 1:00Speaker 1: a lot of people in. But I just think about
- 1:01Speaker 1: what Benny Binyon.
- 1:02Speaker 2: There's no line anymore.
- 1:04Speaker 1: The app is excellent. There's no line. They have put
- 1:06Speaker 1: some money into the app. They have done some things
- 1:09Speaker 1: that is that have been done well. Uh And I
- 1:12Speaker 1: know some of the management and stuff. They watch us,
- 1:14Speaker 1: they kind of think we're funny, back and forth, and
- 1:17Speaker 1: it's just that, like I said, Benny Binyon charged nothing.
- 1:19Speaker 1: At first, it was just to get people in the door.
- 1:21Speaker 1: And now I know it's a just it's a big business.
- 1:25Speaker 1: But just you know, average tournaments were for for decades
- 1:30Speaker 1: charging ten percent or less, and that number is no
- 1:34Speaker 1: longer anywhere. It seems like it's always ten percent or more.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Five point of total buying is the staff fee?
- 1:41Speaker 1: Wow, the staff fee is that high? Let me see this.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Holy shit, that means this this is a so the
- 1:51Speaker 1: staff fee. I'm surprised they divulged this on the app.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Five point one percent. Oh, I hit something. John I
- 1:59Speaker 1: went to Who's just girls? It's okay, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I shouldn't say that, but yeah, there you go, Don
- 2:05Speaker 1: Johnson texting you look at Johnson, that's the actor or
- 2:08Speaker 1: blackjack player Jack. Yeah. Yeah, I don't know. A lot
- 2:12Speaker 1: of people don't like him. Just to let you know.
- 2:14Speaker 2: He's so nice.
- 2:15Speaker 1: He's so nice.
- 2:16Speaker 2: He's so nice. Really, wait, have you never met him?
- 2:19Speaker 1: Nope?
- 2:19Speaker 2: Okay May twenty ninth. Yeah, where are you next Friday?
- 2:24Speaker 2: Not this Friday? Next Friday, I'm here. Okay. We're doing
- 2:27Speaker 2: a party at the West Gate in his suite.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not going there. Come on, No, why I
- 2:31Speaker 1: just I'm not going there. Why Yeah, And we'll talk
- 2:33Speaker 1: about it off air.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Oh you're killing me.
- 2:35Speaker 1: I mean, nothing against just just you know, what do
- 2:38Speaker 1: you mean?
- 2:38Speaker 2: He's great?
- 2:41Speaker 1: No, you know what, did I see these videos? I've
- 2:43Speaker 1: seen a couple of videos, and I've seen a couple
- 2:47Speaker 1: of things on the other and you know, I really
- 2:49Speaker 1: have nothing against in person. I've seen him. I say hello,
- 2:51Speaker 1: you know, and we'll talk about it. It's don't be
- 2:55Speaker 1: I mean, I don't care if I see him. It
- 2:56Speaker 1: doesn't do anything for me.
- 2:58Speaker 2: But remember Vegas Police. Yeah you liked it.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Yeah, oh I've seen Vegas Police see it. The first
- 3:04Speaker 1: time I seen him was that.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Oh god, we don't remember. At first you were like,
- 3:08Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 3:08Speaker 1: I never go up to people, right, But actually went
- 3:11Speaker 1: up to him. I liked the video he did, and
- 3:13Speaker 1: he kind of like, you know, well but some of
- 3:16Speaker 1: people are having a day. Yeah, like you know, it's
- 3:18Speaker 1: like a little bit of a half jerk off, like
- 3:20Speaker 1: you know.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Yeah, But my point is that you had him on
- 3:24Speaker 2: and you liked him.
- 3:25Speaker 1: I did. I thought he was great.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Okay, same thing as I have with Don Johnson.
- 3:28Speaker 1: I'm telling you, Okay, all right, I'll go Okay, I
- 3:31Speaker 1: like it.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Got him, I got him.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Johnny Hollywood got me, I got him all the Hollywood people.
- 3:36Speaker 2: I like it.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Yeah. So anyway, Yeah, a couple of things though, World
- 3:41Speaker 1: Series starting up. Yeah, five point one just for the
- 3:46Speaker 1: staff fate. So the answer is no. When you go
- 3:50Speaker 1: to the cage to cash out and the clerk is
- 3:52Speaker 1: trained to say how much do you want to tip?
- 3:54Speaker 1: You guys take a sefie out of the buying already right,
- 3:57Speaker 1: oh zero? I mean I love the.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Tip though, Yeah, yeah, no, I get it.
- 4:01Speaker 1: But if they're taking five point one percent out of
- 4:03Speaker 1: the tournament.
- 4:04Speaker 2: You paid it, Wow, that's a lot.
- 4:06Speaker 1: That's a big percent for staff. Five point one percent,
- 4:12Speaker 1: another twelve percent, that's like a seventeen percent tournament. That's unbelievable.
- 4:17Speaker 1: It might be more than that. I like to report back.
- 4:19Speaker 1: I'll find out. So but again, I love tipping. But
- 4:25Speaker 1: the tips are there, they're there, right, I agree with
- 4:27Speaker 1: that five percent. They're tipping twenty five dollars out of
- 4:30Speaker 1: every losing poker player that comes in and gives five
- 4:34Speaker 1: hundred dollars they get busted out. Well, only four seventy
- 4:37Speaker 1: fives are going back to the pool's twenty five dollars
- 4:39Speaker 1: for the dealers and the floor people.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Let me ask you this last year, it was like
- 4:43Speaker 3: nineteen to nineteen thousand, six hundred and forty people ish
- 4:47Speaker 3: played in the thousand dollars.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Buy in mystery millions.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Yep.
- 4:51Speaker 3: This year they dropped the buy in or they added
- 4:53Speaker 3: an event. They're still gonna do that one from last year.
- 4:56Speaker 3: They added this other one. Now it's five hundred. Does
- 4:58Speaker 3: that mean we will get double the entries and this
- 5:01Speaker 3: is gonna be at the end of the day forty
- 5:02Speaker 3: thousand entries?
- 5:04Speaker 2: No? No, but guys are gonna fire more.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Can you be rebuying that? Yeah?
- 5:08Speaker 2: Unlimited?
- 5:08Speaker 1: Of course you're gonna.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Okay, it's two max. You're looking at it right, all right?
- 5:13Speaker 1: So two entries max that means they're taking per flight
- 5:16Speaker 1: another five percent out of those rebuys, even five point
- 5:20Speaker 1: just for the staff.
- 5:22Speaker 2: But that's how you get there with the bounties.
- 5:24Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, no, I'm talking to five percent.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Actually I'm talking the staff.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Money right right right.
- 5:29Speaker 1: I'm just thinking about saying, if you can get me
- 5:30Speaker 1: a job.
- 5:32Speaker 3: No, but wait, but let me ask you something like,
- 5:34Speaker 3: mathematically it makes sense to fire.
- 5:39Speaker 2: At that tournament and make sure you make it today too.
- 5:42Speaker 1: You can't ask me that. I'm not gonna I'm not
- 5:44Speaker 1: gonna go for that because if you're taking seventeen percent
- 5:47Speaker 1: out of a tournament, I don't think you overcome that. Now,
- 5:50Speaker 1: you want to have some fun, enjoy yourself, having some
- 5:53Speaker 1: great time coming into town flying. You want to play
- 5:55Speaker 1: in a poker tournament and having them to take seventeen
- 5:57Speaker 1: eighteen you know percent.
- 5:59Speaker 3: That's but if they're taking it out of a tournament regardless,
- 6:03Speaker 3: no matter what tournament you're playing, doesn't this one make
- 6:05Speaker 3: the most sense to play and make sure you get
- 6:08Speaker 3: to day two and try to get put yourself in
- 6:10Speaker 3: to get some bounties and maybe you put a million
- 6:12Speaker 3: and a half a million two Hudred and fifty k
- 6:14Speaker 3: K fifty k twenty five.
- 6:16Speaker 1: That's some fun. Yeah. Yeah.
- 6:17Speaker 3: It's like if you're if you're coming here to play
- 6:19Speaker 3: the World Series and you've got three grand to play
- 6:23Speaker 3: World Series events, isn't it worth shooting your whole load
- 6:28Speaker 3: on a mystery bounty tournament to make sure you play
- 6:31Speaker 3: and skipping the colossus for five hundred another massive field,
- 6:39Speaker 3: But you don't have this bounty.
- 6:40Speaker 1: I believe it or not. The larger tournaments I have
- 6:46Speaker 1: less rake in them. But I'm looking at it like
- 6:48Speaker 1: a knit. Probably I'm looking at it from a financial standpoint.
- 6:51Speaker 2: You just get it away from it. Yeah, you know,
- 6:53Speaker 2: so I still stand by it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter,
- 6:57Speaker 2: It doesn't matter, doesn't matter.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Have something fun, tell them man, in a little bit
- 7:01Speaker 1: of a bad mood, wait five well I did? It
- 7:07Speaker 1: was three percent? Five point wow?
- 7:10Speaker 2: Bill, there's no more lines.
- 7:12Speaker 1: I don't think if you go to a tournament Planet
- 7:14Speaker 1: or the Orleans, I don't think they're taking five percent
- 7:16Speaker 1: out for the stet did when when you won one
- 7:19Speaker 1: of our buddies here in the room, he won a
- 7:21Speaker 1: tournament for twelve thousand. You don't give your name out
- 7:24Speaker 1: because you have people that you own money. Were they
- 7:26Speaker 1: lining up? No, it just happens everyone. John's got d
- 7:29Speaker 1: lines all the time. It is what it is. But
- 7:32Speaker 1: let me ask you something though, on a serious note,
- 7:36Speaker 1: do do they ask you to tip? There?
- 7:38Speaker 2: They don't ask you.
- 7:39Speaker 1: They don't ask you to tip. See this World Series.
- 7:41Speaker 1: I was there when I catched a senior event and
- 7:44Speaker 1: John was eating popcorn outside. I was when I cashed
- 7:48Speaker 1: that senior event. I cashed it and uh, yeah, you
- 7:52Speaker 1: had the double buy ins. It costs a lot of
- 7:54Speaker 1: money that tournament. They asked me at the window, you
- 7:57Speaker 1: know what I mean? Do you want to tip?
- 7:59Speaker 3: No, they ask you right before the window, when you're
- 8:04Speaker 3: when they're giving you.
- 8:06Speaker 1: So Instead, what I did was I said, well, they
- 8:08Speaker 1: take it out. Do you guys know that? He said, oh,
- 8:10Speaker 1: they just they don't know. They're just told to ask.
- 8:12Speaker 1: I said, who can I talk to about this? And
- 8:13Speaker 1: they pointed me to one of the suits and I
- 8:17Speaker 1: told him said they're asking people, but they take it
- 8:19Speaker 1: out of the torment already. They should ask would you
- 8:22Speaker 1: like to The wording should be would you like to
- 8:25Speaker 1: tip anything additional onto it? That's the way it should
- 8:27Speaker 1: be worried because instead of making him, and of course
- 8:30Speaker 1: he got upset because he's probably getting a piece of
- 8:32Speaker 1: the shakedown, so of course he doesn't want to answer me,
- 8:36Speaker 1: all right, Going over to DraftKings, So DraftKings has the
- 8:41Speaker 1: prediction markets also, and the CFO Alan Ellingson is looking
- 8:48Speaker 1: to calm investor Jitters after the company revealed that it's
- 8:51Speaker 1: push into prediction markets could shave three hundred million off
- 8:55Speaker 1: of the twenty twenty six Adiba. You know, it's what
- 8:58Speaker 1: it's called and and that's that's the projection. So this
- 9:04Speaker 1: was interesting that DraftKings. Of course they're smart enough to
- 9:08Speaker 1: get into this, and they are getting into this in
- 9:13Speaker 1: all the states that they can get into it, so
- 9:16Speaker 1: that this is interesting. I find this very interesting that
- 9:19Speaker 1: DraftKings they realized it right away some many other big companies,
- 9:24Speaker 1: but they're going to be in states like you know, California,
- 9:27Speaker 1: because this is prediction market. It's not it's not sports
- 9:30Speaker 1: betting on the Draft Kings app. But there's been a
- 9:33Speaker 1: lot of controversy this week. Do you know anything about this.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Matt Kalish, who was one of the original guys that
- 9:39Speaker 1: started DraftKings, him and his partner, I think Jason was
- 9:42Speaker 1: his partner. I've never had any conversations with them. So
- 9:46Speaker 1: they he went after the Calshi prediction market brands and
- 9:52Speaker 1: app and talked about how it doesn't have the customer
- 9:57Speaker 1: interactions and the different things that offered on Kings and
- 10:01Speaker 1: maybe a different kind of bonuses, and it's just it's
- 10:04Speaker 1: a more user friendly app draft Kings, and he just
- 10:09Speaker 1: explained how you don't get that with the Calshi's and
- 10:12Speaker 1: it may not be the best value like you think
- 10:16Speaker 1: it may be, you know what I mean. So I
- 10:18Speaker 1: invited him twice two different texts that I asked Matt
- 10:22Speaker 1: Kylish because but but Matt Kaylish was being very very
- 10:27Speaker 1: he was being like he was mad. He was mad,
- 10:30Speaker 1: and maybe he has a right to be. I wanted
- 10:32Speaker 1: to hear his side out. You'll see here. I actually said, yeah,
- 10:36Speaker 1: put the glass I saw last night Matt Kayleish. Hey, Matt,
- 10:39Speaker 1: I think your points are valid. We can talk about
- 10:42Speaker 1: can you come on? You know it could have been
- 10:44Speaker 1: in my shows, but I figured a new Vson. Can
- 10:46Speaker 1: you come on? Vson got seven thousand of you? I
- 10:48Speaker 1: just added to his thing there and yeah, he never responded.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Two days before that, I also asked him. Now, I
- 10:55Speaker 1: know he's seen it, you know what I mean? Yeah,
- 10:57Speaker 1: of course, but but yeah, maybe the maybe he might
- 11:01Speaker 1: have thought, like like someone someone said, oh he will
- 11:04Speaker 1: you know, he won't come on. I said, well, this
- 11:06Speaker 1: is not I want to read my tweet. This was
- 11:08Speaker 1: not a DK issue. I actually wanted him on to
- 11:10Speaker 1: discuss his interesting points he had been making over the
- 11:13Speaker 1: last few days. Surprised he wouldn't even give me a
- 11:15Speaker 1: courtesy answer. So now he was he was like cursing
- 11:19Speaker 1: on there, people and stuff. I wasn't going to reveal
- 11:21Speaker 1: any of that stuff, you know, a big big deal.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Like we curse. I try not to curse in public,
- 11:26Speaker 1: but and and I never usually curse on shows, but
- 11:29Speaker 1: for some reason, I've been cursing a lot more with
- 11:31Speaker 1: you like that with you, I usually don't do that.
- 11:34Speaker 1: But the other shows I don't curse. Just you know,
- 11:36Speaker 1: you get me going. So, yeah, he didn't come on
- 11:40Speaker 1: to I wasn't going to debate him on anything. I
- 11:43Speaker 1: wasn't going to tell him that DraftKings limits to fifty dollars. No,
- 11:48Speaker 1: I mean, I wasn't going to do that. I wasn't
- 11:49Speaker 1: looking to embarrass him. I was not going to have
- 11:51Speaker 1: a mature conversation with you know, I wasn't going to
- 11:55Speaker 1: say with his partner said publicly like the Caesars CEO,
- 12:01Speaker 1: these guys college degrees, no common sense. I wasn't gonna
- 12:04Speaker 1: go after his partner for saying, yeah, we don't like
- 12:07Speaker 1: winners on a rap. I wasn't gonna do none of that.
- 12:09Speaker 1: You know, that's what he said. Google Google this stuff.
- 12:13Speaker 1: The guys from the Caesars saying, I told you're ready.
- 12:15Speaker 1: You know, I don't have to feed them. They can
- 12:17Speaker 1: stop at McDonald's the home. This is your customer base
- 12:20Speaker 1: youre talking to.
- 12:23Speaker 2: It was Caesars.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Yeah, Scott Reig, I think his name is Scott Reeg.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Is tom Reeg. Tom Reeg the President's the head of
- 12:29Speaker 1: Caesar No one's tire makes twenty million year. Yeah, tell them.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Gives an interview to loss Figures forview Journal about the
- 12:37Speaker 1: lounges closing and says, I don't have to feed him.
- 12:40Speaker 1: We're closing the loungers. Let them go, Let them stop
- 12:42Speaker 1: on McDonald's the way home. What you could feel that way?
- 12:46Speaker 1: And Jason from draftings, of course, no casino watched you
- 12:50Speaker 1: to win, right, you know, like like here outside these doors.
- 12:54Speaker 1: They don't watch, they listen. They're not gonna say it.
- 12:57Speaker 1: He's a street smart, knock around guys to some of
- 12:59Speaker 1: these guys. But when you get those college guys, got
- 13:02Speaker 1: start the sights and they're the guys that always got
- 13:04Speaker 1: picked on, hung on at the locker by their underwear,
- 13:07Speaker 1: you know what I mean, picked the last for kickball.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Now they get a little bit of press and they
- 13:11Speaker 1: get to say something, but they don't have to say.
- 13:12Speaker 1: They freeze.
- 13:13Speaker 3: They know it's us against them. You don't have to
- 13:16Speaker 3: say that. Never never make it.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Every casino in sports doesn't want to win.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Yeah, you want to be inviting, you want to you wanna.
- 13:25Speaker 1: By the way, Matt is correct, the site is cool. Yeah,
- 13:29Speaker 1: drafting sites cool, Yeah, for sure, have great colors and
- 13:32Speaker 1: different ways to be games and great name. It's just
- 13:35Speaker 1: I just wanted them to I just wanted to have
- 13:38Speaker 1: a converse. I'm never gonna make I'm never gonna go
- 13:41Speaker 1: after anybody and make them look bad.
- 13:43Speaker 3: You know what about I don't I've only had one
- 13:48Speaker 3: chat with this guy.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Is this something as I'm betting? Uh, that's the guy
- 13:56Speaker 1: I just talked about, Jason, that's him. That's the guys
- 13:59Speaker 1: that we don't want winners, Jason Robbins. Yeah, I don't
- 14:02Speaker 1: want any winners on the app.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Yeah, how about this guy? Do you know him? Those
- 14:05Speaker 2: are the only two I have my phone.
- 14:07Speaker 1: From you got you got a lot of big contacts
- 14:09Speaker 1: though you know you're doing again? Yeah, no, no, you do.
- 14:13Speaker 1: I told you a couple of weeks ago the talking
- 14:16Speaker 1: Head song rode to Nowhere. Got you know all the
- 14:19Speaker 1: meetings and all the the conference calls here.
- 14:22Speaker 2: We had a good dinner the other night.
- 14:23Speaker 1: You had a good dinner the night. Our dinner the
- 14:25Speaker 1: other night, comped mark dinner the other night, Peter Lugers.
- 14:29Speaker 2: You notice how I brought someone around but he was
- 14:31Speaker 2: already paying.
- 14:32Speaker 1: But do you notice how I don't you let him
- 14:36Speaker 1: let it happen. You let him, let.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Him order, and he ordered. It was great.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Let him like that.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Didn't you like that? Where he was like, you want your.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Steak for three. I don't get stay for three, steak
- 14:47Speaker 1: for one because it's it's a better quality. So Peter
- 14:50Speaker 1: Luger's steak for one is better than stak for two, three, four,
- 14:53Speaker 1: in my opinion. But the steak was good, probably, But
- 14:56Speaker 1: you let him. You let him cook the way he
- 14:57Speaker 1: wants it. You want to medium, you let him.
- 14:59Speaker 2: But I liked it.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Your part of the deal too. We're talking about a deal.
- 15:02Speaker 2: And it cooks on the plate.
- 15:04Speaker 1: The plate is so hot.
- 15:04Speaker 2: You take it and put it on the plate if
- 15:05Speaker 2: you want it more and well done. Yeah, I really like.
- 15:07Speaker 1: And let him pick the sides he wants.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Let him bacon.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Bacon's great.
- 15:12Speaker 2: It was great. Those potatoes were great. The potatoes are good,
- 15:15Speaker 2: even the cream spinach I ate.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Yeah, no, no, they were good. And so John, you
- 15:20Speaker 1: could we could say a little bit. So if this
- 15:22Speaker 1: guy has what he says he has and it's just there.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Act just opened up a couple few months ago.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Yeah, wow, yeah, wow.
- 15:31Speaker 1: I think he's gonna take a piece of market share.
- 15:34Speaker 1: And that he's legal in forty states right now.
- 15:36Speaker 3: Yeah, so forty six I think he said forty forty six.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Okay, so, but he's legal. Just started up. We're going
- 15:44Speaker 1: to talk about this down the road here.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, for sure.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Nice guy too, trying to get Nevada. Not in Nevada yet,
- 15:50Speaker 1: and it's just so hard to penetrate Nevada.
- 15:52Speaker 2: He's pretty sharp too, Yeah, very you can just see
- 15:56Speaker 2: he could feel it.
- 15:57Speaker 1: That's why you just let him. You let him talk. Yeah,
- 15:59Speaker 1: and but I did a lot of talking thought about
- 16:02Speaker 1: the sports book.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Yeah, a great time.
- 16:03Speaker 3: I forgot to do a group I'll do a group
- 16:05Speaker 3: text after our show right now. But he sent me things,
- 16:08Speaker 3: it's great meeting you guys.
- 16:10Speaker 1: And yeah know he they have a site that they
- 16:14Speaker 1: it's one stop shopping. It's still too hard for men
- 16:18Speaker 1: to believe. I have to investigate a little bit. I
- 16:20Speaker 1: don't want to do it.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Listen, he's saying, like, if you want the Knicks, which
- 16:25Speaker 1: we're gonna talk about next, the Knicks at the best line,
- 16:30Speaker 1: and you say, hey, hard Rock Florida has the Knicks
- 16:32Speaker 1: at five, yeah, and it's six here at west Gate,
- 16:35Speaker 1: we'll give you the five.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Yeah. And you can do it in a parlay. You
- 16:38Speaker 2: could do it in a parlor from you could four
- 16:40Speaker 2: different but.
- 16:41Speaker 1: It's not a parlay. It's not just a parlay. Yeah,
- 16:44Speaker 1: that's hard to believe too, So you could bet par
- 16:46Speaker 1: I don't want to promote parlays here. But so if
- 16:50Speaker 1: if you have the hard Rock minus five on that,
- 16:53Speaker 1: you have the Westgate minus six on something else, you
- 16:56Speaker 1: have Circa plus seven on another, you could take the
- 16:58Speaker 1: best lines from each place and put them all on
- 17:00Speaker 1: a parlor together.
- 17:02Speaker 2: That's massive.
- 17:03Speaker 1: No, it doesn't. It just it doesn't sound right to me.
- 17:05Speaker 1: But however, everything that this guy does, he's made a
- 17:11Speaker 1: lot of money. So I just think that if they're
- 17:15Speaker 1: gonna have a site like that, it's one stop shopping.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Why wouldn't everyone be there getting the best of the line,
- 17:21Speaker 1: the best of the lines. But that goes back to
- 17:24Speaker 1: Matt Kalish's view what he was saying. He was saying like, well,
- 17:32Speaker 1: you know, they don't offer all these different type of
- 17:34Speaker 1: wagers and different type of things. So like people like
- 17:40Speaker 1: the going to those sites. They are more player friendly
- 17:43Speaker 1: sites the big as on TV, like being where Lebron
- 17:46Speaker 1: is and all these other guys are. So but this
- 17:48Speaker 1: is one stop shopping and if this, if this takes this,
- 17:52Speaker 1: this will be really good. I look forward to talking
- 17:55Speaker 1: about it a.
- 17:55Speaker 2: Little bit more. We're gonna get something done with him.
- 17:57Speaker 1: We're gonna get something done with them. You think, so, okay, Well,
- 18:00Speaker 1: I mean I don't think he was even looking looking
- 18:03Speaker 1: into into this wasn't about us getting a sponsorship or anything.
- 18:08Speaker 1: They weren't even doing that he really wanted to pick
- 18:11Speaker 1: my brain. He knew who I was, so he wanted
- 18:13Speaker 1: to pick my brain a little bit. But but we
- 18:15Speaker 1: might anyway, we might do something with him. That'll that'll
- 18:18Speaker 1: be great and that'll be on you. Okay, next thing,
- 18:21Speaker 1: you know, Prim's closing. Oh, the Prim casinos. However, they
- 18:26Speaker 1: Prim Prim Nevada own the owners of those casinos, the
- 18:29Speaker 1: Prim family. They're actively searching buyers to save the town's
- 18:33Speaker 1: three aging border casinos from permanent closure. So I like
- 18:36Speaker 1: to hear that at least Chase. Here's what I think.
- 18:41Speaker 1: There's an airport supposedly coming here. John, you can look
- 18:43Speaker 1: at this map here. There's an airport supposedly coming here
- 18:46Speaker 1: in the next ten years. If they build that supplemental
- 18:50Speaker 1: Southern Nevada airport site, there's Prim. I think that I
- 18:54Speaker 1: thought that would really help. So I think there's a
- 18:58Speaker 1: lot of value that.
- 18:59Speaker 2: Would be like Burbank Airport.
- 19:01Speaker 1: Yeah, Burbanker John Wayne, something like that. Yeah, Yeah, I
- 19:03Speaker 1: love that. This is very I think it's very interesting seeing.
- 19:07Speaker 3: That I don't know how these casinos have survived this
- 19:10Speaker 3: long beyond Yeah, but.
- 19:12Speaker 1: They have a lot of shows, believe it or not.
- 19:14Speaker 1: There yeah, they do have some good shows, like right, yeah, yeah,
- 19:19Speaker 1: some good shows. Maybe I can get you a stand
- 19:21Speaker 1: up routine there. Yeah. So the Nicks, the Knicks, the Knicks.
- 19:28Speaker 2: I watched the game. I was actually watched.
- 19:29Speaker 1: I was at some casino called Cadence Crossing last night.
- 19:32Speaker 1: It's a newer casino on Boulder Highway around there though
- 19:37Speaker 1: it was not the best area, but inside what a
- 19:39Speaker 1: beautiful casino, really nice, brand new. So I had to
- 19:43Speaker 1: meet someone there last night and I had dinner with them,
- 19:45Speaker 1: and I was looked up at the game. They were
- 19:48Speaker 1: up at eighteen when I was walking out of the
- 19:49Speaker 1: dinner with you know, I don't know, ten minutes left
- 19:52Speaker 1: or something. Now I'm finding out they were up by
- 19:53Speaker 1: twenty two. Cleveland, this is Cleveland was up by twenty
- 19:57Speaker 1: two with seven minutes and forty seconds. I think it's
- 19:59Speaker 1: set here. Wow, that's got to be one of the
- 20:02Speaker 1: biggest comebacks of all times.
- 20:03Speaker 2: It's pretty exciting to watch our.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Buddy here had Nicks minus five and a half and
- 20:09Speaker 1: it was ninety nine percent. Sure that the little percentages
- 20:13Speaker 1: they show you ninety nine percent that they win, that's
- 20:16Speaker 1: all it goes. Those meters only go to ninety nine percent,
- 20:19Speaker 1: so it's actually probably more if the real number was
- 20:21Speaker 1: probably ninety nine point eight, right, you know, nine nine
- 20:24Speaker 1: point nine sure like a one in five hundred and
- 20:28Speaker 1: eighty five chance. Yeah, so amazing, amazing.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Uh yeah, it's fun to watch. Amazing comeback basketball game.
- 20:36Speaker 2: I liked it.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Now in game two, the lines around six around the
- 20:39Speaker 1: same line. Basketball is funny. Basketball is funny. Don't think
- 20:44Speaker 1: that Cleveland won't play their heart out here and steal
- 20:47Speaker 1: a game in New York like they should have. Yesterday.
- 20:49Speaker 1: They just rested on their laurels. Like I didn't watch
- 20:51Speaker 1: the game, so they must have rested on their laws.
- 20:53Speaker 1: The garden must have been going crazy, though, crazy must
- 20:55Speaker 1: have been going absolutely crazy. And I'm surprised they didn't watch.
- 20:59Speaker 1: I had a really important meeting I had to go
- 21:01Speaker 1: to when you know, like John has these meetings, but
- 21:03Speaker 1: minor reel. We're on the road to no where. Okay,
- 21:08Speaker 1: So the rio an elevator in the thirty six year
- 21:12Speaker 1: old property trapped dude, seventeen people. As you could see,
- 21:16Speaker 1: no air no no airflow. And yeah, a group of
- 21:21Speaker 1: seventeen tourists stopped. There was stifling heat, hot elevator Wow, like, like,
- 21:27Speaker 1: what happens seventeen people? Well, what are you doing loading
- 21:31Speaker 1: seventeen people into a clown car? I mean, look a
- 21:33Speaker 1: look at these people. They're so tightly packed.
- 21:36Speaker 2: They got look as a couple of people are relentless.
- 21:38Speaker 1: A couple of hot girls in that. Those two girls
- 21:40Speaker 1: are taking selfies. Look, yeah, there's a couple there, a
- 21:44Speaker 1: couple for you in the background. Some antique ones. Yeah, no,
- 21:47Speaker 1: but look at these people, and you know that's unbelievable.
- 21:50Speaker 1: No airflow. Oh oh, there was a nurse from Arizona.
- 21:53Speaker 1: We had to crack the door open just to breathe.
- 21:56Speaker 1: So you could crack the door open. Wow. This You
- 21:58Speaker 1: know our buddy Niff, the Sinatra's assistant. Yeah, he doesn't
- 22:02Speaker 1: go on elevators because of this. Something happened he was
- 22:04Speaker 1: a kid or something. He doesn't go on.
- 22:06Speaker 2: I get it.
- 22:07Speaker 3: I got stuck twice. I got stuck the first time.
- 22:10Speaker 3: It's going to sound like a spoiled brat story. First time,
- 22:15Speaker 3: I was about ten years old and my dad was
- 22:17Speaker 3: working in Reno for Harrah's And when you work for them,
- 22:24Speaker 3: you get to stay at Bill Harrah's house.
- 22:27Speaker 2: He's not there.
- 22:28Speaker 1: I heard it nifty said that Bill Horrd was so nice, so.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Nice, and you get the car that he leaves you
- 22:34Speaker 3: to drive is his Rolls Royce.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Oh wow, he's.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Back in you know, eighty nineteen eighty whatever.
- 22:39Speaker 3: And the house had an elevator and I got stuck
- 22:42Speaker 3: in the elevator for like forty five minutes. It was
- 22:46Speaker 3: so scary ten years old. You know, you're yelling.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Help, how did they get to you?
- 22:50Speaker 3: Finally one of the staff, someone on the staff like
- 22:55Speaker 3: the elevator. It's the type of elevator that you it's
- 22:57Speaker 3: like the looks like an accordion.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Oh yeah yeah, like.
- 23:02Speaker 2: Shut yeah yeah.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Wow. So then it happened a second time.
- 23:05Speaker 2: Second time was brutal. It wasn't that many people.
- 23:08Speaker 3: There was about seven or eight people, uh, downtown LA
- 23:10Speaker 3: and the City Bank building. Wow, we got stuck for
- 23:13Speaker 3: like the same thing, like forty minutes, and we're calling
- 23:15Speaker 3: they're trying to do it.
- 23:17Speaker 2: And it's just brutal.
- 23:18Speaker 3: Wow, because you it's the unknown of how long am
- 23:22Speaker 3: I Because in the beginning you're thinking, oh, well, they'll
- 23:24Speaker 3: figure this out in a couple of minutes, you know,
- 23:26Speaker 3: and then when you're fifteen minutes, which feels like three hours.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Yeah, you're just like, oh my god, what if this
- 23:31Speaker 2: is all day?
- 23:33Speaker 1: That's unbelievable. Yeah. And where where if Frank Sinatra live
- 23:37Speaker 1: in New York? What higher Riseldorf? The Waldorf? Thank you?
- 23:40Speaker 1: I was going to google it. I don't have to.
- 23:41Speaker 2: Yeah, we stayed there.
- 23:42Speaker 1: You stayed there, that's fine. So so Frank lived the
- 23:45Speaker 1: am like the thirty first, thirty third high up of
- 23:48Speaker 1: Falcony h thirty third floor, and I said, neft, what
- 23:51Speaker 1: did you do? You didn't walk up thirty three because
- 23:54Speaker 1: now I had to just grin and barretts in the
- 23:56Speaker 1: back of the closed my eyes and really this is yeah,
- 24:00Speaker 1: he won't go in elevator. Yeah. We go to dinner
- 24:03Speaker 1: at South Point and he will not going to the elevator.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Really yeah, yeah, I don't know.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Something must have happened to him.
- 24:07Speaker 3: But anyway, even a quickie like a parking garage, three
- 24:10Speaker 3: level parking garage, you know, I.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Think he went up one floor at me once without
- 24:14Speaker 1: thinking about it. And yeah, and he freaked that. I
- 24:18Speaker 1: think I had to give I had to give him
- 24:19Speaker 1: a hundred though, and there was something, there was some
- 24:21Speaker 1: kind of deal out of him. Yeah, he's not going
- 24:23Speaker 1: in So John, you don't even know Randy McKay and I.
- 24:27Speaker 2: I saw the text threat we're buying Oh oh you
- 24:29Speaker 2: did from last night.
- 24:30Speaker 1: We were buying that. That was last week. So let's
- 24:33Speaker 1: let's just let's just this.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Is that what you were going to talk about.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Yeah, So we were actually over on wager Wire. We
- 24:39Speaker 1: were actually going to buy one of the UH people
- 24:44Speaker 1: at one of their parlays. This guy was cashing out
- 24:47Speaker 1: with I think it was hard Rock Florida, so he
- 24:50Speaker 1: was he was gonna care there it is okay, So
- 24:52Speaker 1: there's the bet. It was Indiana Hoosiers n c A
- 24:56Speaker 1: A F Championship winner, Seattle seahffs to beat New England,
- 25:00Speaker 1: Michigan Wolverine NCAA Division champ. They all won Stanley Cup
- 25:05Speaker 1: as the last thing. Colorado Avalanche is his last leg.
- 25:08Speaker 1: He bet two hundred dollars to one, one hundred and
- 25:09Speaker 1: fifty three thousand. He's going to cash out at fifty
- 25:12Speaker 1: seven thousand and change, and we offered him sixty thousand
- 25:18Speaker 1: to fly to Vegas. We were gonna fly in the
- 25:20Speaker 1: Vegas do it on camera for wager Wire, and we
- 25:23Speaker 1: were gonna wader Wire was kicking in another two thousand,
- 25:26Speaker 1: and you know what, we're gonna give you extra two
- 25:28Speaker 1: thousand to flight sixty two thousand instead of fifty seven
- 25:31Speaker 1: change airfare, hotel, dinner. I was giving him everything he
- 25:35Speaker 1: was to make it a fun thing. Yeah, he cashed
- 25:36Speaker 1: out at the site.
- 25:38Speaker 2: Why did he not believe it?
- 25:40Speaker 1: No, No, he had to believe it. You know, people
- 25:42Speaker 1: are weird, man, people are weird. They they didn't want
- 25:47Speaker 1: to maybe he didn't. We were gonna do it with
- 25:49Speaker 1: cash and make the site look good, like you know
- 25:51Speaker 1: it make it look fun for the guy. But I
- 25:53Speaker 1: said we'd give him a bank wire if not, you know,
- 25:55Speaker 1: like there was other options. Like he's weird. I didn't
- 25:58Speaker 1: speak to him. No, they spill. I said everything was
- 26:01Speaker 1: negotiated with a wager wire. But yeah, he didn't. Uh,
- 26:04Speaker 1: he didn't go. I don't understand.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Why would you take the buy not believed it for
- 26:07Speaker 2: some reason?
- 26:08Speaker 1: No, I just think he just wanted the money from
- 26:10Speaker 1: that rock on his app. And you know, I hope
- 26:13Speaker 1: he cashes out the money and doesn't start blowing it.
- 26:15Speaker 1: He only bet the two hundred dollars or so, but yeah,
- 26:18Speaker 1: we we offered him more than the buyouts so weird.
- 26:21Speaker 1: And you know, there there could have been a way
- 26:23Speaker 1: to hedge out. Why you could hedge out with Colorado, But.
- 26:26Speaker 2: That's not a lot more money.
- 26:28Speaker 1: We weren't going to do that. I would help him.
- 26:30Speaker 1: We would have helped them at out. You know, you
- 26:31Speaker 1: can't when you hedge. You know, these guys are torning
- 26:34Speaker 1: all better. Maybe he doesn't have like twenty thousand, twenty
- 26:37Speaker 1: five thousand dollars to bet somewhere. Yeah, too, we would
- 26:39Speaker 1: have helped him with I wouldn't have charged him anything,
- 26:40Speaker 1: would have just helped him just that fun with it,
- 26:42Speaker 1: you know. But yeah, he chose not to do it,
- 26:45Speaker 1: So that kind of shocked me. I thought that was
- 26:47Speaker 1: a definite done deal. I thought he was definitely coming here.
- 26:50Speaker 1: I was fining time him here to put him in
- 26:52Speaker 1: a hotel. Yeah, like, no, I put it up. Why
- 26:56Speaker 1: would you put it up on the wager wire app.
- 26:57Speaker 1: They've worked with him before too. If you're not going
- 27:00Speaker 1: to take you know, five thousand dollars more, then the
- 27:04Speaker 1: site's going he's gonna get five five thousand.
- 27:06Speaker 3: Could he maybe have gotten hard rock to honor the
- 27:08Speaker 3: wager Bier money?
- 27:11Speaker 1: No, what do you mean?
- 27:12Speaker 2: No?
- 27:12Speaker 1: No, no, we've no way. No, we actually had to
- 27:15Speaker 1: have to trust him a little bit, believe it or not.
- 27:17Speaker 1: You know, the trust factor was only one way he
- 27:21Speaker 1: was getting He was getting the cash from us or
- 27:22Speaker 1: the money from us. But so let's go to this week. Still,
- 27:25Speaker 1: this was a thousand dollars. People have thousand dollars about
- 27:27Speaker 1: on on these parlays. Is amazing.
- 27:30Speaker 2: Thousand dollars one though, you know, I got an opinion
- 27:32Speaker 2: on this.
- 27:33Speaker 1: To win two hundred and thirty seven thousand dollars.
- 27:35Speaker 2: Yep.
- 27:36Speaker 1: The current bet value was sixteen thousand and eight to
- 27:38Speaker 1: seventy nine. No cash out offer from this casino. Three
- 27:41Speaker 1: Lake parlay the seventy six years versus Boston series betting
- 27:46Speaker 1: the futures. He he won that one. So he got
- 27:49Speaker 1: that one. That was that. That was the longest shot
- 27:51Speaker 1: here at seven and a half to one. Also Colorado
- 27:54Speaker 1: to win the Stanley Cup and then the New York
- 27:56Speaker 1: Yankees to win the World Series. The Yankees are actually
- 27:59Speaker 1: playing better now, yeah they are.
- 28:01Speaker 2: That's still got some issues. Old one's got some issues.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Okay, So but he bets a thousand to win sixteen
- 28:05Speaker 1: eighty seventy nine. Yeah, if you bet, if you were
- 28:08Speaker 1: bet one hundred or maybe two hundred, I'd say no,
- 28:10Speaker 1: I'd say cash, take a little money back, or get
- 28:12Speaker 1: a partner or something. This one, I would say, no, wait,
- 28:15Speaker 1: let's see Stanley Cup. Let's see what happens with Colorado.
- 28:19Speaker 1: Colorado's the favorite to win the Stanley Cup. Why would
- 28:22Speaker 1: you take that chance now? And this would be worth
- 28:25Speaker 1: a lot more money after that, So.
- 28:27Speaker 3: Definitely get your money out before the World Series for
- 28:30Speaker 3: baseball because the Yankees it's not gonna happen.
- 28:33Speaker 1: Well, it's not gonna happen. So the yank is gonna
- 28:34Speaker 1: go to the playoffs. Yeah, yeah, okay, so that's when
- 28:38Speaker 1: you would closer to that than But if the Avalanche
- 28:41Speaker 1: go on to win the Cup, this ticket's gonna be
- 28:43Speaker 1: worth about forty thousand dollars tone then you may want
- 28:46Speaker 1: to think about maybe cashing here forty extra thousand dollars. Bet.
- 28:51Speaker 1: I would say definitely. Hold you see what Matt said,
- 28:54Speaker 1: what about mister baseball Orlando. Yeah, so anyway, wagerwire dot Com,
- 28:58Speaker 1: wager wire app. You guys put your plays out, you
- 29:01Speaker 1: put your tickets up there, you got offers, and I
- 29:04Speaker 1: don't know, I'm not going to take a chicken. Now,
- 29:06Speaker 1: I'm not making fun of the guy. He has to
- 29:07Speaker 1: have his own reasons. Maybe he needed the money instantly.
- 29:09Speaker 1: I mean, you can't if you're if you're a gambler.
- 29:11Speaker 1: I don't see that happening.
- 29:12Speaker 2: But maybe he's like, maybe he's afraid to fly.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Maybe he's afraid to fly.
- 29:15Speaker 2: How old is he? Do we know? Do we know anything?
- 29:17Speaker 2: We don't know anything.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Don't know anything about them at all, don't know anything
- 29:20Speaker 1: about them.
- 29:20Speaker 2: Maybe that's the Is he twenty one?
- 29:25Speaker 1: That's scary, that's happening. Is that possible, that's happening.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Happens in nineteen He's like, yeah, get this on the apps.
- 29:33Speaker 2: I can't be public.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Atlantic City casinos again. I'd say this every month. This
- 29:39Speaker 1: is just the sickest numbers. I can't. They jumped twelve
- 29:42Speaker 1: percent April over April again. They set a record last year.
- 29:46Speaker 1: These places, they're the gaming win is what's going on
- 29:50Speaker 1: in Atlantic City?
- 29:51Speaker 3: And when you walk around Atlantic City and look, I
- 29:53Speaker 3: was just there people there, Yeah, I was just there.
- 29:55Speaker 2: I feel like no one even has any money.
- 29:58Speaker 1: How does this a I don't know. This is the
- 30:01Speaker 1: this is the brick and mortar casinos. This isn't the
- 30:04Speaker 1: people that are placed eye gaming brick and mortar again. Now,
- 30:08Speaker 1: I want to tell you that the Atlantic City faces
- 30:10Speaker 1: some worrying future. Here there's casinos, full scale casinos coming
- 30:14Speaker 1: to New York. Ones already there. I think it's called
- 30:17Speaker 1: Resorts World. They're already there. But there's multi billion dollar
- 30:21Speaker 1: projects coming. Uh near JFK. There's a hard rock Metropolitan Park,
- 30:25Speaker 1: which is that's going to be a city field the
- 30:28Speaker 1: Mets play, and is a Bally's Bronx at Ferry Point.
- 30:31Speaker 1: So they're coming. By the way, no smoking in those casinos.
- 30:37Speaker 1: No smoking casinos. I think those smoking works. I think, yeah,
- 30:42Speaker 1: I'm gonna get it. There's an article on that right here.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Look New Jersey Gambler's MICROI hold on, this is this
- 30:49Speaker 1: is the next one. Here's the next one. They extinguished
- 30:52Speaker 1: Laning City smoking that did. The fight to extinguish smoking
- 30:55Speaker 1: drags on, and advocacy groups and lawmakers are intensifying their
- 30:59Speaker 1: years long can campaign to permanently outlaw smoking in Atlantic
- 31:03Speaker 1: City casino floors. So casino operas firing back, warning a
- 31:07Speaker 1: total smoking ban will trigger a massive dropping gaming revenue.
- 31:11Speaker 1: I don't think it would, because they don't have an
- 31:14Speaker 1: option to go smoke over there. Try smoking.
- 31:17Speaker 2: They didn't they try this before, non smoking.
- 31:19Speaker 1: I think they could have had certainine we have. We
- 31:22Speaker 1: have park MGM, no smoking, can't move. Place is packed. Yeah.
- 31:28Speaker 1: So anyway, this is happening in Atlantic City, and uh,
- 31:33Speaker 1: the New York is. Like I said, the New York
- 31:34Speaker 1: casinos are smoke free, so I don't think that would
- 31:37Speaker 1: be a big ask because they have been not like this.
- 31:40Speaker 1: I'm not coming to no more. I'll be in New
- 31:41Speaker 1: York and they're going to be able to smoke there too.
- 31:44Speaker 1: So I'm going back to Atlantic City and the Eye gaming.
- 31:47Speaker 1: The Iye gaming is still out outpacing retail. It's unbelievable.
- 31:52Speaker 1: It's online revenue, like I said, it's yeah. Online revenue
- 31:56Speaker 1: also increased. Uh, it marked its eight consecutive month where
- 32:00Speaker 1: I Gaming eclipse in person casino revenue. That's unbelievable. April
- 32:05Speaker 1: was actually the third best record, the best month on record.
- 32:09Speaker 1: People are just gambling at home, man, and it's just crazy.
- 32:12Speaker 1: Year to date, almost a billion dollars has been won
- 32:17Speaker 1: by the casinos by people gambling on their phones, just
- 32:21Speaker 1: just scambling on their apps, playing slots and blackjack and everything.
- 32:25Speaker 1: This is unbelievable. I gaming has eclipsed to ten digit
- 32:30Speaker 1: market through only four months. Oddsmakers also in the sportsbook
- 32:33Speaker 1: in April sports books one hundred and two million that
- 32:37Speaker 1: they made a thirteen percent increase year over year. So
- 32:40Speaker 1: it's actually hard to because most of the most of
- 32:42Speaker 1: the sports betting there is done over the app. So
- 32:46Speaker 1: just just a giant number. Sports betting through April three
- 32:49Speaker 1: hundred and seventy four percent higher And this time last year.
- 32:53Speaker 1: People have a lot of money. I don't care who
- 32:55Speaker 1: says what things are. This is happening. This is oh,
- 32:58Speaker 1: people have a lot of money.
- 33:00Speaker 2: Speaking Gamble just reminded me when we were at dinner
- 33:04Speaker 2: the other night, how crowded was Caesar's Palace.
- 33:06Speaker 1: Couldn't move, couldn't moved and this this wasn't They were
- 33:11Speaker 1: saying about that. What's the what's the festival?
- 33:14Speaker 2: Festival was over Sunday.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Unbelievable, unbelievable town grand I always say September and May
- 33:21Speaker 1: best two months to come to Vegas, but weatherwise otherwise
- 33:25Speaker 1: good months to come out to the polls. You could
- 33:27Speaker 1: not move to Caesar's Palace. Everywhere, everywhere you look, there
- 33:31Speaker 1: had to be something else going on there. I was,
- 33:33Speaker 1: I asked, and I said, not really.
- 33:34Speaker 2: Vegas is dead.
- 33:35Speaker 1: Yeah, Vegas is dead. So I get to give you
- 33:37Speaker 1: Jersey credit. They're they're online gamblers might might might start
- 33:42Speaker 1: receiving a monthly statements regarding their play. So this is
- 33:45Speaker 1: a new bill that the that the I like that.
- 33:48Speaker 1: I'll tell you what. I got to give the gaming
- 33:49Speaker 1: boards and the politicians there a little credit for not
- 33:54Speaker 1: you know, looking past just the money and their money
- 33:56Speaker 1: they're making. Uh. You imagine a bill in New Jersey
- 33:59Speaker 1: will require online gaming platforms to issue a monthly statement
- 34:03Speaker 1: to all the customers. You get an email saying this
- 34:05Speaker 1: is how much of an idiot you've been. Basically, you know,
- 34:07Speaker 1: this is how much money you've lost. This New Jersey
- 34:10Speaker 1: is the home to the you know, one of the
- 34:12Speaker 1: richest eye gaming platforms. Like we just talked about highest
- 34:15Speaker 1: concentration of problem gambler stuff. New Jersey has number one,
- 34:19Speaker 1: new number one for problems.
- 34:21Speaker 2: Change it to Hoe broken.
- 34:22Speaker 1: Yeah, hope, that's very good.
- 34:24Speaker 2: Broken.
- 34:24Speaker 1: There's a thing there, Hoboken with a photo and yeah,
- 34:28Speaker 1: Hoebroken's right, very good, John, Did you just made that up? Yeah, yeah,
- 34:32Speaker 1: sometimes I just hope this happens here. And this is
- 34:36Speaker 1: a Senator McKean. Senator John McKean, thank you very much
- 34:40Speaker 1: for even introducing this and making the public aware of this.
- 34:44Speaker 1: And I hope you get it passed. I hope you
- 34:45Speaker 1: get past the red tape. This. This would be great
- 34:49Speaker 1: if they can tell people what they're doing every month,
- 34:52Speaker 1: just to show them, you know, just show them what
- 34:54Speaker 1: they're doing every month when you're gambling on these type
- 34:56Speaker 1: of things. So see what happens, all right, These people
- 35:00Speaker 1: that work in stores and try to cheat the stores
- 35:03Speaker 1: of them playing lottery tickets scratch offs. They said, well
- 35:06Speaker 1: one of them has got to be a big winner
- 35:07Speaker 1: to cover the rest of them. Like there has been
- 35:10Speaker 1: three people. This article is about two, but this has
- 35:12Speaker 1: been three that I know of that have scratched all
- 35:14Speaker 1: the lottery tickets. One guy, the reason why he got
- 35:17Speaker 1: in trouble was someone came in to buy a ticket
- 35:19Speaker 1: and he's seen like confetti everywhere. It was a scratch
- 35:22Speaker 1: off things, and he scratched all the tickets and he
- 35:24Speaker 1: couldn't even buy a ticket himself. It was gone. But
- 35:26Speaker 1: yet the employee was doing it, and he ratted them out.
- 35:30Speaker 1: That's hilarious. And yeah, that is where I read. The
- 35:33Speaker 1: guy said, just one of these has got to be
- 35:35Speaker 1: a big winner. I'll cover all these. I'll make a
- 35:36Speaker 1: lot of money on my shift. And that's happening here.
- 35:40Speaker 1: Two convenience store workers are accused of stealing lottery scratch offs.
- 35:43Speaker 1: The female defendants are facing felony theft chargers such a
- 35:47Speaker 1: convintion a conviction actually possible, five year imprison fifty thousand
- 35:51Speaker 1: dollars fine. So this is a state run scratch offs.
- 35:54Speaker 1: You know, you're taking the state's money here. You're trying
- 35:56Speaker 1: to dupe the system. You know, you see people all
- 35:59Speaker 1: the time. This happens to in casino jobs, believe it
- 36:03Speaker 1: or not. Uh, sports books, race books. You get a
- 36:08Speaker 1: little bit of a dj behind their working and they're
- 36:11Speaker 1: betting out of a draw. It's called betting out of
- 36:13Speaker 1: their bank betting. They're betting, trying to get even bet
- 36:15Speaker 1: this racet, this race. It's it's I mean, you can
- 36:18Speaker 1: never have that job. I'm just I'm just saying that
- 36:20Speaker 1: not your fault. It's it's it's you know, you could
- 36:24Speaker 1: never have that no, no, no, and you wouldn't last
- 36:27Speaker 1: in jail. Forget, you'd be giving up Pafa where he's buried, Kennedy, assassination, Limburg, baby, everything, everything,
- 36:35Speaker 1: you would just everything you give up. So anyway, yeah,
- 36:38Speaker 1: this this is uh interesting that I know about this
- 36:41Speaker 1: in the past, so really that's why I find that
- 36:44Speaker 1: pretty pretty interesting.
- 36:45Speaker 2: I wonder how many times have they actually hit though.
- 36:52Speaker 1: Fifty. It's such a bad you can get lucky, yeah,
- 36:55Speaker 1: of course, but yeah, now this is gone blue By
- 37:00Speaker 1: said this in the beginning. I can't believe. Yeah, this
- 37:02Speaker 1: is the DraftKings closing their retail oplication. I'm sorry that
- 37:07Speaker 1: their their retail, their retail market in Wrigley Field, and
- 37:12Speaker 1: is not possible. It's unbelievable because I've been there. It's like, wow,
- 37:15Speaker 1: this is this is really cool. You can off the street,
- 37:18Speaker 1: you can pull over and make some bets watching the game,
- 37:21Speaker 1: you can go into the go into the retail, make
- 37:23Speaker 1: some bets. I cannot believe. Here's how it's possible. Chicago
- 37:29Speaker 1: is so greedy that they are starting so many different
- 37:33Speaker 1: supplemental taxes and oh they can't survive of the revenue.
- 37:38Speaker 1: Now now they have a new ten percent tax. January
- 37:42Speaker 1: Chicago roll out ten point two five percent tax on
- 37:44Speaker 1: sports betting revenue generated from betters located within the semi
- 37:48Speaker 1: city limits. So now they have to pay another ten percent.
- 37:51Speaker 1: How about this a twenty five cents per ticket? Another shakedown?
- 37:56Speaker 1: Al Capone wasn't shaking down Chicago.
- 37:59Speaker 3: Twenty five sense per ticket must add up to insane them.
- 38:03Speaker 1: Yeah it's a per bet fee. Yeah, it's unbelievable. Tax
- 38:06Speaker 1: doubles to fifty cent per ticket after the book exceeds
- 38:10Speaker 1: twenty million bets. Like, there's so many fees, but that
- 38:13Speaker 1: goes to show you what's going on here with retail operate.
- 38:17Speaker 1: These states are making so much money, Like New York
- 38:21Speaker 1: I think it's fifty one percent tax. It's the highest
- 38:23Speaker 1: in the in the world.
- 38:24Speaker 2: And it really is.
- 38:26Speaker 1: But but it's the sports betting capital of the United States.
- 38:31Speaker 1: They're they're they're betting four to five times more than
- 38:34Speaker 1: their betting here, so they overcome that and New York
- 38:37Speaker 1: State's making a fortune. So but they overcome that with
- 38:40Speaker 1: all that volume. So they just thought that was kind
- 38:43Speaker 1: of interesting. Casinos on Netflix. I know it's an old
- 38:46Speaker 1: movie that we've seen many times, but it's fun watching
- 38:49Speaker 1: my saw.
- 38:50Speaker 2: On the little thumbnail leaving soon I was like, yeah.
- 38:53Speaker 1: Yeah, Casino, But I got to wa I watched it again,
- 38:55Speaker 1: did you Yeah? I watched it again. So good. Scorsese
- 38:58Speaker 1: is returning with a series Cold of Roman. You know
- 39:00Speaker 1: about that.
- 39:01Speaker 2: You you mentioned that. I don't know if it had
- 39:03Speaker 2: a name yet.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Scorsese serving as the executive producer. It's starring Oscar Isaac,
- 39:10Speaker 1: Betty Gilben, Alec Baldwin, David Constable from Billions and Breaking Bad.
- 39:15Speaker 1: Eight episode series High Stakes World of Gambling. I hope
- 39:19Speaker 1: they have someone that they used as consultants. Usually Scorsese
- 39:24Speaker 1: is great at that. He hires gangsters, He hires people
- 39:26Speaker 1: that that, and especially the creators and showrunners is Brian
- 39:31Speaker 1: Koppleman and David Levine from Billions, from Rounders of course,
- 39:35Speaker 1: they had that great film and and you know, I'll
- 39:39Speaker 1: say it's out there and already, Brian used to play
- 39:40Speaker 1: in poker games in the city you played, you know,
- 39:43Speaker 1: Park Avenue and the club's there that they had. Brian Kampleman,
- 39:46Speaker 1: he knows this stuff because he was involved. He's a
- 39:49Speaker 1: poker player. So I hope this goes. I hope this
- 39:52Speaker 1: goes really good. When it comes to the hour long drama,
- 39:56Speaker 1: each the first one the high stakes set sharp elbowed
- 39:59Speaker 1: president a Las Vegas casino business, which is modernized but
- 40:02Speaker 1: still dangerous version of the legendary sitting at the center
- 40:05Speaker 1: it all stands Robert Bobby red Redmond Already. I don't
- 40:09Speaker 1: like nicknames like that this guy's, but he's the president
- 40:11Speaker 1: of the hottest hotel in the town who has to
- 40:14Speaker 1: make some long odds to try and secure his position
- 40:16Speaker 1: and take more ground. I just hope they use consultants
- 40:21Speaker 1: for even a guy that like if they would use someone,
- 40:25Speaker 1: you know, like Bobby Baldwin or someone that has been
- 40:27Speaker 1: in the position that's also a gambler, I think they would.
- 40:29Speaker 1: They would. It would be pretty cool. We'll close with this.
- 40:32Speaker 1: I thought this was interesting. In Pittsburgh, a social club
- 40:36Speaker 1: that was open. They they actually raided it and seize
- 40:40Speaker 1: ninety one thousand dollars. This is a game that they
- 40:42Speaker 1: have just like the super Bowl pools, though the super
- 40:45Speaker 1: Bowl box pools every bar it's dot Allens. So this
- 40:49Speaker 1: particular board is you pick one of the cards and
- 40:54Speaker 1: I'm going to send the picture of this to JH.
- 40:56Speaker 1: You pick one of the cards and for so much money,
- 40:59Speaker 1: I don't know how much money it is, but I
- 41:01Speaker 1: think it's maybe five hundred dollars to pick a card
- 41:04Speaker 1: or one hundred dollars to pick a card. And behind
- 41:06Speaker 1: one of the cards is the Queen up Hearts is
- 41:10Speaker 1: the Queen of Hearts board. If you pick the Queen
- 41:11Speaker 1: of Hearts, you win, you win the entire you know,
- 41:14Speaker 1: the entire board of money. And there's fifty four cards
- 41:18Speaker 1: in here, so there must be a couple jokers involved.
- 41:20Speaker 1: But they it's a private club. Members pay an annually
- 41:24Speaker 1: do of forty dollars. But in Pennsylvania it's it's illegal
- 41:27Speaker 1: to charge a typical and then usually charge of misdemeanor
- 41:31Speaker 1: pun us well up to five years in prison, though
- 41:34Speaker 1: it's first degree in misdemeanor. Finds it the ten thousand
- 41:36Speaker 1: for large dell operations like this, but it probably won't
- 41:39Speaker 1: apply in this particular case. But you know what it
- 41:42Speaker 1: is that this is operating, you know, twenty or thirty
- 41:44Speaker 1: miles from gambling places. That's the reason why they kind
- 41:47Speaker 1: of get a little bit weird about it, and they
- 41:50Speaker 1: you know, they just want to make examples out of people.
- 41:52Speaker 1: But I thought this is kind of interesting because of
- 41:54Speaker 1: all the people they can they can bust all the
- 41:56Speaker 1: bars that don't have, you know, an entry fee or
- 41:59Speaker 1: a members only and they busted this place in Pittsburgh.
- 42:03Speaker 1: Pittsburgh's a big gambling town. Some of the biggest book
- 42:06Speaker 1: makers come from western Pennsylvania in general, some of the
- 42:09Speaker 1: street bookmakers everywhere. And this this happened actually in the
- 42:13Speaker 1: town in Washington, Pennsylvania. They have some gambling guys in
- 42:17Speaker 1: that town for sure, roughly twenty miles southwest of Pittsburgh.
- 42:20Speaker 1: The town is just minutes from the Meadows. I think
- 42:24Speaker 1: it's the Meadows. It says the Metal Lands here. I
- 42:25Speaker 1: think it's the Meadows Racetrack that's there. Hollywood Casino at
- 42:29Speaker 1: the Meadows it says Metal Lands. But anyway, Yeah, they
- 42:33Speaker 1: went through their facebooks, they went through their the big
- 42:35Speaker 1: sting they went through. They must be promoting and advertising
- 42:39Speaker 1: on Facebook, which you know, I guess you probably shouldn't
- 42:42Speaker 1: throw it in the government's face. But anyway, it's pretty
- 42:45Speaker 1: interesting that this happened again. And well, guys, we'll have
- 42:48Speaker 1: a lot of these clips. I'll have Jage put on
- 42:51Speaker 1: up on Wisecracks, and we'll talk to you next week.
