- 0:00Speaker 1: Mister New York Mark Simone's on seven ten wor we'll
- 0:08Speaker 1: take some calls. Eight hundred three two one zero seven
- 0:12Speaker 1: ten is the number. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 0:16Speaker 1: seven ten. Let's go to Tim in Orange County. Tim,
- 0:19Speaker 1: how you doing good?
- 0:21Speaker 2: Hell?
- 0:21Speaker 3: Are you? Mark?
- 0:22Speaker 1: I'm good?
- 0:23Speaker 4: Okay, This Scott Pelly thing. Just want to remind everybody.
- 0:28Speaker 4: Dan Rather, for over thirty years, swore he was not
- 0:32Speaker 4: in any way biased. He was asked once where his
- 0:36Speaker 4: political leanings are, and he goes, well, I believe in
- 0:38Speaker 4: tight money and a strong defense. What does that make
- 0:41Speaker 4: I mean, they don't think they can be biased. They think,
- 0:47Speaker 4: you know, I mean again until Memogate in two thousand
- 0:51Speaker 4: and four, with W. Bush exposed Rather, and to this
- 0:55Speaker 4: day Dan Rather will tell anyone who will listen, oh
- 0:58Speaker 4: we made a few mistakes on that.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Well we still got.
- 1:01Speaker 1: The truth, which of course he didn't. Rather, as the
- 1:04Speaker 1: father of modern day fake news, he made up a
- 1:07Speaker 1: whole fake story about Bush going a wall in the
- 1:10Speaker 1: National Guard. There was no evidence of this. In fact,
- 1:13Speaker 1: his commander said no such thing happened, and that, in fact,
- 1:17Speaker 1: he thought Bush was one of the best people he'd
- 1:19Speaker 1: ever had in the National Guard, so rather actually used
- 1:23Speaker 1: a forged document, totally forged fake document. CBS investigated found
- 1:29Speaker 1: that to be the case, fired him immediately. But ever
- 1:33Speaker 1: since then it started under Bush. They used to go
- 1:36Speaker 1: really go after Bush, and the great Charles Croudhammer came
- 1:41Speaker 1: up with this term. He called it Bush derangement syndrome,
- 1:45Speaker 1: and that term was used a lot back then, and then,
- 1:47Speaker 1: of course, nowadays we have Trump derangement syndrome, which is
- 1:50Speaker 1: one hundred times worse. I mean, he just took off
- 1:52Speaker 1: the gloves and they go crazy trying to get him.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Let's go to Dennis in Gillette, New Jersey. Dennis, how
- 1:58Speaker 1: you doing?
- 2:00Speaker 2: Mark Love the show. I'm listener, listen. I'm surprised Trump
- 2:05Speaker 2: hasn't fired John Thune for not getting enough votes for
- 2:09Speaker 2: the Save America Act or replace them. Well, what do
- 2:13Speaker 2: you think's going on there?
- 2:14Speaker 1: Well, you can't fire him, but he can certainly, I know,
- 2:17Speaker 1: push him out. But yeah, Fune hasn't been great. You know.
- 2:21Speaker 1: The problem that to Save America Act it's the worst
- 2:23Speaker 1: name in the world. It's nobody knows what it is.
- 2:27Speaker 1: When you say Save America Act, nobody knows what you're
- 2:29Speaker 1: talking about. It's the bill that would ensure safe and
- 2:33Speaker 1: fair elections everywhere in every state, clean up the process.
- 2:37Speaker 1: You know, no crazy mail in voting systems that go
- 2:40Speaker 1: for thirty days. No uh, you know, voting without an ID.
- 2:44Speaker 1: So they should have called it the Safe and Fair
- 2:47Speaker 1: Secure Election Act something like that. It's the Save America Act.
- 2:50Speaker 1: They're having trouble getting that through. Let's go to Joe
- 2:53Speaker 1: and Elmwood Park. Joe, how you doing. Good morning, Mark morning.
- 2:56Speaker 4: I'm shocked, there's no there's no voter for Audy new Really.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Apparently the RNC has uncovered many non citizens on the voter.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Rules and that's how she got elected.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Yeah, well that's it. Yeah, that's part of it. Also,
- 3:11Speaker 1: you had Chittarelli's never going to win anything a weak candidate. Hey,
- 3:17Speaker 1: that UFC fight it is supposed to take place this
- 3:20Speaker 1: weekend at the White House, and crazy Democrats have filed
- 3:23Speaker 1: a lawsuit to stop it. Now you can get these
- 3:26Speaker 1: crazy little judges that watched. The judge will order it stopped.
- 3:30Speaker 1: It's absolutely ridiculous. Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent,
- 3:35Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 3:36Speaker 3: Good morning, Mark, Good morning, Barra, Mark. This election Lord
- 3:40Speaker 3: it twine a pair should be called the Safe and
- 3:42Speaker 3: Secure Election Act. Mark. These shenanigans that are going on
- 3:47Speaker 3: in California with the elections and quite frankly in all
- 3:50Speaker 3: the blue states in the United States, would never happen.
- 3:54Speaker 3: In Italy recently they had what they called their mid
- 3:57Speaker 3: term elections. But unlike you only have two days to vote,
- 4:03Speaker 3: and only certain people could send in mail in ballots.
- 4:09Speaker 3: It's usually business people, military people who are away, and
- 4:14Speaker 3: the mail in ballots have to be postmarked twelve o'clock
- 4:20Speaker 3: the day before the actual election starts. Elections go on
- 4:25Speaker 3: for two days Sunday and all of Monday, and by
- 4:30Speaker 3: eleven o'clock at night Monday evening, they know all the
- 4:34Speaker 3: elections and you could only go to the precinct where
- 4:39Speaker 3: you registered. You have to show voter I D cord
- 4:43Speaker 3: an election D cord. And if you're abroad, like you're
- 4:47Speaker 3: a businessman in the service, is different. You just you
- 4:51Speaker 3: could vote with a ballot.
- 4:54Speaker 1: You know, we're the only country that doesn't require idea
- 4:57Speaker 1: vote do India six hundred million votes account it in
- 5:00Speaker 1: one night?
- 5:01Speaker 3: Mark. In Italy recently they had their midterms and even
- 5:06Speaker 3: like a fewer businessman, Let's say you were away out
- 5:09Speaker 3: of the country and you wanted to vote, you do
- 5:11Speaker 3: al you have to know, you have to go to
- 5:14Speaker 3: the Italian consulate in that country, show poof for who
- 5:19Speaker 3: you are, and then they'll give you a mail in
- 5:23Speaker 3: ballot and it has to be in by a certain time.
- 5:27Speaker 3: None of his five days after three months after.
- 5:30Speaker 1: I agree. I agree. I like that, Vincent, great call,
- 5:33Speaker 1: thanks for calling. Yeah, it's absolutely crazy. You know, the
- 5:36Speaker 1: idea of the mail in vote was mostly for the
- 5:38Speaker 1: military to be able to live. That's really what it
- 5:42Speaker 1: was for. Originally in a couple of cases where somebody
- 5:44Speaker 1: suddenly has to go to work overseas. That's what it
- 5:47Speaker 1: was for. And that was it. It went crazy opening
- 5:50Speaker 1: up to anybody wants to do mail in. There was
- 5:52Speaker 1: the huge study of all this done a few years ago,
- 5:55Speaker 1: many years ago with Jimmy Carter and James Baker, Republican
- 6:00Speaker 1: and Democrat, and the study concluded that there is no
- 6:04Speaker 1: bigger source of voter fraud than mail in voting. And
- 6:08Speaker 1: that was signed by Jimmy Carter. No bigger source of
- 6:13Speaker 1: voter fraud than mail in voting. It's time to clean
- 6:18Speaker 1: it up. Hey, I hope everybody's got their power back.
- 6:20Speaker 1: There was a lot of power out yesterday. Big parts
- 6:22Speaker 1: of Connecticut had no power, parts of Long Island, New Jersey,
- 6:26Speaker 1: all from storms, down wires, that sort of thing. Hopefully
- 6:30Speaker 1: everybody has their power back today. When we come back,
- 6:33Speaker 1: the great columnist Miranda Divine, we'll talk to her about
- 6:38Speaker 1: crazy Scott Pelley, meet the Press, Platner, the Biden's, and
- 6:42Speaker 1: a lot more coming up next on seven to ten
- 6:45Speaker 1: wor
