  that ye have ministered to the saints and do minister

  hello and welcome to this broadcast of woman at the well ministries and perhaps
• 1:42
  one of the greatest tools that the devil uses against the children of god is
• 1:47
  the tool of discouragement and unfortunately sometimes it's even other children
• 1:52
  of god who are instruments of this discouragement,
• 1:55
  but we often find ourselves tired.
• 1:59
  And sometimes I think we're tired because we have not allowed the Lord to properly
• 2:04
  plan out what it is we're supposed to do.
• 2:07
  And all with good intentions, I think we have sometimes gathered more things
• 2:12
  on our plate than perhaps the Lord intended for us to have.
• 2:15
  I also think that sometimes what happens is we do allow the Lord to schedule
• 2:21
  at our days and we do allow him to place on our agenda the things that he wants us to do.
• 2:28
  But then when we go about doing them, we don't do them in his strength.
• 2:34
  And we tend to take it upon ourselves and we forget that we can do all things
• 2:39
  through Christ which strengthens us.
• 2:40
  And we forget that it is only through and by the grace of God and his will in
• 2:46
  our lives that we are able to do anything and that we need to really allow God
• 2:52
  to be supreme and first and foremost in our life.
• 2:56
  But sometimes what happens is in the course of trying to do everything right,
• 3:02
  We sometimes get our eyes off of Christ.
• 3:09
  And when that happens, the devil will wiggle his way in and begin to show things
• 3:14
  to you that appeal to your flesh.
• 3:18
  Like, you've worked so hard all week and, you know, so-and-so has gotten this and you don't have that.
• 3:26
  Or, look at what the Lord lets you do.
• 3:30
  It's not very much. why does he
• 3:32
  let so and so do thus and such none of
• 3:36
  these things are things that we as christians and
• 3:39
  children of god would ever let come across
• 3:42
  our mind or in our heart when we are fully in
• 3:45
  the will of god but the devil knows
• 3:48
  what makes us tick because we
• 3:51
  tell him and as we murmur and complain about
• 3:55
  all that we're doing and we murmur and complain about
• 3:58
  helping mrs so-and-so or mr so-and-so and
• 4:02
  we begin to say to ourselves why doesn't
• 4:05
  somebody else do something and then we
• 4:08
  begin to think about that instead of
• 4:12
  focusing on God's call in
• 4:15
  our life and the absolute opportunity
• 4:18
  we have to be a blessing to someone
• 4:21
  else as God calls us into their life to be a blessing and we take our eyes off
• 4:28
  of what's important but this verse says for god is not unrighteous to forget
• 4:34
  your work of labor of love god remembers everything you have done in his name.
• 4:42
  God remembers everything you have done with a heart full of love even if somehow
• 4:50
  or another you think you didn't get it done right.
• 4:53
  But I want to assure you that when you are working in the will of God and you
• 4:59
  are doing the work that God has told you to do, he will not under any circumstance let you fail.

  Because God is going to equip you and he's going to bless you for being willing
• 5:11
  to do what he asked you to do. And the scripture is full of that.
• 5:16
  He will supply what you need. He will give you someone to speak if for some reason you can't.
• 5:22
  He will give you someone to hold up your arms when you begin to get tired and weary.
• 5:28
  The Bible tells us in Galatians 6, 9 that we are not to be weary in well-doing.
• 5:34
  In fact, what he says is, And let us not be weary in well-doing,
• 5:39
  for in due season we shall reap if we faint not.
• 5:43
  We must keep our eyes on the Lord.
• 5:47
  And to keep our eyes, so to speak, on the prize, which is the prize of the high
• 5:52
  mark before us. It's the prize of being able to fulfill God's will in our life.
• 5:57
  It's being able to sit in the center of God's will, knowing that it's not about
• 6:02
  us to judge whether what he has asked you to do is more important than what
• 6:07
  you think he's asked somebody else to do.
• 6:09
  The most important thing that Christ can ever ask you to do is whatever it is he's asked you to do.
• 6:16
  Because that becomes the thing that you must make sure that you accomplish.
• 6:21
  And you must make sure that you're dedicated to.
• 6:24
  And you must trust that that's your purpose.
• 6:26
  That's the thing that must be most important to you above all other things.
• 6:31
  Regardless of how you value it in terms of what someone else is doing.
• 6:36
  The most important thing for you must be what God has called you to do.
• 6:41
  It doesn't matter what the world thinks of it.
• 6:45
  You will never know perhaps what just walking by somebody and stopping and taking
• 6:54
  the time to say hello to them and maybe finding a way to directly or indirectly
• 7:00
  tell them that Jesus loves them.
• 7:03
  You may walk away, never see him again, have no understanding that you may have
• 7:08
  just been what God used to intervene in that person's life to turn it completely around.
• 7:15
  And yet you may be thinking that you were used for nothing as you begin to look
• 7:20
  at some pastor, some minister, some great song leader, some something and say,
• 7:25
  well, why didn't God give me that talent?
• 7:28
  Don't ever underestimate the value of the job God has called you to do.
• 7:34
  It is the most important job you will ever have. Maybe it changes daily.
• 7:41
  Maybe it's the same thing you do day in and day out. Be faithful in God's service.
• 7:47
  He is faithful to you. He will bring to pass the things that he has promised,
• 7:54
  the things that you've committed to him. He'll keep against that day.
• 7:58
  And he has a plan, and you may not be able to see it from the place that we
• 8:02
  sit, but he's working in the lives of others through the work he allows you to do for him.

  Don't be weary in well-doing. when you
• 8:14
  find yourself comparing remember that
• 8:17
  the only standard that you need to be looking
• 8:20
  at is christ when you
• 8:23
  find yourself feeling oh woe is me and you're
• 8:26
  wishing you had a little more appreciation remember that
• 8:29
  the only applause you need to ever hear is
• 8:32
  that of nail scarred hands and though it sounds
• 8:36
  trite and maybe it sounds a little corny to
• 8:38
  you it is the truth you see
• 8:42
  what others think of you is not what matters it's what god thinks of you you
• 8:51
  see you are faithful over a few he'll make you ruler over a many god has a plan
• 8:58
  and its purpose is directly for you.

  Nobody else can be you as good as you can be you no one else can fulfill what
• 9:08
  god has for you to fulfill as well as you can fulfill it.
• 9:12
  Because that's the plan he has for you.
• 9:14
  That's what he's chosen for you. That's where his blessings are for you.
• 9:19
  You've got to get your eyes off of other people. You've got to get your eyes off of the world.
• 9:25
  And you've got to realize that as you put one foot in front of the other,
• 9:29
  following with trusting and obeying what God has said, spending time in his
• 9:34
  word, cherishing your times with Christ,
• 9:37
  being diligent to make sure that you're following what he tells you to do, heeding his call.
• 9:43
  You've got to make sure that you allow yourself to understand that he is not
• 9:49
  unrighteous to forget your work of labor of love, that he knows what you've
• 9:53
  done toward him in his name,
• 9:55
  and that he knows that you've ministered to the saints and that you continue
• 9:59
  to minister and that he is blessing you now and will continue to bless you for doing so.

  Don't let the devil rob you of your blessings.

  You know what? A friend of mine got me this most beautiful little plaque to
• 10:13
  remind me of one of the greatest mantras I have to tell myself regularly,
• 10:19
  and that is you got to show up.
• 10:21
  I can't do the work of the Lord if I don't show up in the harvest of his field.
• 10:28
  I can't do the work of the Lord if I'm not willing to go where he sends me.
• 10:34
  I can't do the work of the Lord if I don't show up in Bible study.
• 10:39
  I can't do the work of the Lord that he's called for me to do if I don't show
• 10:45
  up in prayer so that he can mold me and make me and he can bend my heart towards
• 10:51
  him and he can take away the things that need to go away and feel it with his
• 10:56
  presence. I've got to show up.
• 10:59
  So many of us, we take on the title of Christian.
• 11:03
  We may walk through the doors of our church. We may carry our Bible on Sunday
• 11:08
  morning and perhaps Sunday night, and some of us don't even do that because
• 11:12
  so many of the churches have it up on the screens, and that's great.
• 11:15
  But that doesn't mean we shouldn't carry the Word of God with us.
• 11:19
  That doesn't mean we shouldn't open the Word of God and follow along as the
• 11:23
  minister reads from God's Holy Word. That doesn't mean that we shouldn't be
• 11:29
  in the Word looking and listening and understanding.
• 11:32
  We've got to know God for who He is. We've got to have a personal relationship for him.
• 11:37
  It can't be a Sunday relationship or a Wednesday relationship.
• 11:41
  That's when we start getting ourselves beat up by the devil because we're not
• 11:45
  arming ourselves and equipping ourselves with the whole armor of God.
• 11:49
  We're not allowing God to...
• 11:51
  To take our mind and keep it fixed on him. And we're finding joys and pleasures
• 11:56
  in so many other places than where he is.
• 11:59
  And so as we begin to go out into the world, the world begins to nick and bang
• 12:04
  on us because we haven't done the work God has told us to do,
• 12:07
  but putting on the armor of God, we've got to show up.
• 12:11
  We can't be weary in well-doing. We have to know who God is and believe who he is.
• 12:17
  And we have to follow what he says. And we have to be so sure of him in our
• 12:21
  lives that we're willing to follow what he says.
• 12:26
  Understanding that the world wants to beat you down. But in the will of God,
• 12:31
  there is peace and joy and contentment.
• 12:36
  Following the words of God will give us a life of abundance in him.
• 12:41
  And that we can do exceedingly above all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us.
• 12:46
  But you must find diligently a way and be disciplined to stay in his presence, to read his word,
• 12:54
  to study his word, to love others as he said, love them, to do the work of the
• 12:59
  Lord in his strength is the greatest of all honors.
