The 2026 high school football season in Southeastern North Carolina kicks off with two major jamborees on Friday, August 14th: the Port City Classic at Legion Stadium in Wilmington and the Bash at the Beach Jamboree at West Brunswick High. Eight teams battle it out in Wilmington starting at 6 PM, while five more clash in West Brunswick at 5 PM. Coaches are thrilled to bring back these community events—especially since there’s no college football nearby—to fuel local pride and spotlight young talent.
