- 0:19Hello and welcome to episode 302 of the All Systems Go sports
- 0:25Betting podcast powered by Rhythm.
- 0:28I am your host, Josh Applebaum. What's going on, everyone?
- 0:36Happy Thirsty Thursday, our work week is coming to an end.
- 0:40Got a big day today, got a big Friday, and of course, another
- 0:43week weekend here upcoming. And I got to tell you guys
- 0:46today, looking to set the record for the hottest day in Boston
- 0:50here, looking at about 95°. So whether you're going to the
- 0:54beach or staying cool or maybe just staying in the AC, let's
- 0:56see if we can keep it going here on the MLB diamond because I do
- 1:01have a three pack of sweats for you.
- 1:03It's a big day in baseball, 16 games overall.
- 1:06You had a bunch of games that were rained out last night, so
- 1:08we have some double headers. I have three favorites here, all
- 1:12short, modest favorites. So we could get 2 out of three
- 1:15that would turn a pretty good profit back to us as a bet to
- 1:18wrist, not bet to win better. But also one of the games is a
- 1:21early doubleheader game. So I wanted to kind of get the
- 1:24pot out as quick as I could, give the opportunity to tail
- 1:27fade or do whatever you like. But you know which direction I'm
- 1:29going. Anytime I mention a bet, I
- 1:31myself have my own money on it. I hope you guys always know
- 1:33that. But anyway guys, we kept the
- 1:36good vibes going last night. How about a little sweep 3 and O
- 1:39bust out the brooms plus 1.86 units.
- 1:42Had a great hit with the Atlanta Braves.
- 1:44Did you guys see where that line closed with the Atlanta Braves?
- 1:47Got the Braves yesterday. I want to say they were like
- 1:50-180 I think they closed like -200 -, 210.
- 1:55So it was great to get a winner and beat the closing line on
- 1:57that one. Chris Sale pitch to Gem had a
- 1:59nice break there with Will Smith.
- 2:01Not that Will Smith slapping Chris Rock getting jiggy with
- 2:05it, but the the catcher Will Smith on the Dodgers had a pinch
- 2:08hit walk off home run to beat the the Padres.
- 2:12That was a nice winner. And then the red legs came
- 2:15through Red legs won four to two.
- 2:16Now this is important because the Reds won the game 4:00 to
- 2:192:00, but it was a abbreviated suspended game after six innings
- 2:24because remember in baseball you got to go at least 5 innings to
- 2:26become an official game. Six innings they completed and
- 2:30then the you know, the clouds opened up.
- 2:32It starts to downpour. But this is very important
- 2:34because you got to make sure the fine print of whatever sports
- 2:37book you're working with or betting at because Bet MGM is
- 2:41where I bet on the Reds and Bet MGM paid out the Reds.
- 2:45Again, often times you'll see abbreviated games, they'll pay
- 2:48out the money line, but they may not pay out the the total.
- 2:51So always check the fine print there.
- 2:53But again, have have multiple outs.
- 2:55Shop around and hopefully you were like me and my buddy
- 2:58Derouche who also bedded at Bet MGM and woke up today and saw
- 3:02that they graded as a winner and not as a avoided bet.
- 3:05So I was always nice. So 3 pack overall guys for
- 3:09today, let's even keep the good vibes rolling. 7 and one our
- 3:12last 8. So it'd be nice to to keep this
- 3:14little hot streak going here for today.
- 3:17So without further ado, we got a lot of baseball 3 pack overall.
- 3:20Let's try to get 2 out of three and let's waste no time because
- 3:23we got some day games here to talk about South.
- 3:26First one on the board for me. Let's go to the South side of
- 3:29Chicago, Chicago White Sox hosting the Saint Louis
- 3:31Cardinals. This is game one of a
- 3:34doubleheader. You saw last night's game get
- 3:37rained out, so they're going to play a twin bill.
- 3:38This is the first game, the early game, the 2:10 PM Eastern
- 3:41Time game. So setting the stage for this
- 3:43one. The Cardinals, 38 and 35 on the
- 3:45year, They did dominate the series opener a couple days ago.
- 3:50They won 12 to two against the White Sox.
- 3:52They cruised easily, winning as a -135 Rd. favorite.
- 3:56Then again, we saw yesterday's game postponed due to rain,
- 3:59which sets up the doubleheader for today.
- 4:01So in the first game of the doubleheader, Cardinals are
- 4:04going to go with the Rady Eric Fetty.
- 4:06He's three and five or sorry, three and six with a 3.65 ERA.
- 4:10Meanwhile, the White Sox are going to counter with fellow
- 4:12ready Sean Burke, who's three and seven with a 4.71 ERA.
- 4:16Now, what are we seeing across the market here?
- 4:18Well, this game open Cardinals around a -, 135 Rd. favorite
- 4:22Chicago around a + 115 home dog. And wise guys are saying if it
- 4:27ain't broke, don't fix it. I've seen some sharp money lay
- 4:30the wood here with the Cardinals steaming up Saint Louis -135 up
- 4:35to -145 some shops even closing in on -150 I was able to jump on
- 4:40the Cardinals -140 at Caesar's. I believe they might still be
- 4:45-140 at Caesar's. But again, make sure you get the
- 4:48best price and shop around using your Odds logic Live odds page
- 4:52Odds logic.com/josh 123 for a 7 day free trial and 50% off your
- 4:57first month. But anyway, try to find the
- 5:00lowest price you can because it looks like this one is steaming
- 5:02up, which is a good sign. Good sign that the Cardinals are
- 5:05getting hit and continue to get more expensive, but not great if
- 5:08you haven't bet it yet. So try to get the lowest money
- 5:10line you can. But aside from the steam on
- 5:13Saint Louis, I really like the bets split on the Cardinals.
- 5:16Over at DraftKings, the Cardinals are getting 84% of
- 5:19money line bets, but nearly 90% of money line dollars.
- 5:23And then if you look at Circa out in Vegas, Saint Louis is
- 5:26getting 86% of money line bets, but 97% of money line dollars.
- 5:31So both DraftKings and Circa National Public Book or the
- 5:35public's probably just saying, hey, White Sox think bet against
- 5:37the White Sox. Whereas out in Vegas, you know,
- 5:40sharps wise guys are saying, hey, when that open -135 maybe
- 5:44we had this game closer to -150 based on our power ratings and
- 5:47our predictions and projections, which is why they again played
- 5:51the the number. And remember, wise guys are
- 5:52playing. You always hear this all the
- 5:54time, but they bet numbers, not teams, whereas the public
- 5:57usually bets teams and not numbers.
- 5:59That's a big distinction between professional and recreational
- 6:02betters. But aside from that good bet
- 6:04split, we do have some good system matches on Saint Louis.
- 6:07Obvious one would be interleague favorite.
- 6:09So the lack of familiarity benefiting quote UN quote the
- 6:12better team. But other system match here
- 6:14because you had the day off yesterday with the rain out.
- 6:16Both teams coming off a day off take the favorite.
- 6:19Very simple system. But it's 78 and 41 this year,
- 6:2266% with a 7% ROI. And then another system I have
- 6:27sweet spot non division Rd. favorites between -135 and -160
- 6:32They are 41 and 23 this year, 64% with an 8% ROI.
- 6:38Cardinals. Hopefully Fetty pitches a gem
- 6:40and the bats get to Burke. But the Cardinals do have a big
- 6:43edge at the plate. Let's hope their bats show up
- 6:45like they did in the opener of the series.
- 6:47Cardinals on the year are hitting 25768 homers, 340 runs
- 6:52scored. White Sox only hitting 222 on
- 6:54the year, 55 homers, 250 runs scored.
- 6:58Saint Louis. By the way, we have two righties
- 7:00on the bump. Saint Louis is hitting 261
- 7:02against righties. That's the third best in
- 7:04baseball. Chicago's only hitting 219
- 7:07against righties. That's dead last, the worst in
- 7:10baseball. Fetty hopefully continues to
- 7:13pitch well because in the month of June, he's made three starts.
- 7:16He's got a 2.7 OERA. He's only giving up five runs in
- 7:1916.2 innings pitched. Meanwhile, Burke, in two starts
- 7:23in the month of June, 7.59 ERA, he's giving up nine runs in 10.2
- 7:28innings pitched. So this is game one of a
- 7:30doubleheader. They're coming off a day off
- 7:32after the rain out. Saint Louis cruise in game one.
- 7:36Let's see if they can do it here for game one of today's
- 7:37doubleheader. Big steam in their favor.
- 7:40Bunch of sharp bet splits, good system matches.
- 7:43I'm going with the Saint Louis Cardinals to hopefully start our
- 7:45day off with a win on the South Side.
- 7:48I got the Cardinals -140 again. Shop around.
- 7:50Some books. Inching toward -150.
- 7:54Now, let's stay in Chicago. Let's go to the North Side, not
- 7:57the South Side. 2:20 PM Eastern Time, first pitch, the Milwaukee
- 8:00beer makers visiting the Chicago Cubs now setting the stage for
- 8:05this one. The Cubs, who are 45 and 28.
- 8:07They won that series opener 5 to 3.
- 8:09Remember, we played them the other night, took care of
- 8:12business as a -, 160 home favorite.
- 8:14Then we saw yesterday's game postponed due to rain.
- 8:17Today they're only playing one game, no doubleheader.
- 8:19They'll make it up later in the year before this afternoon's
- 8:23rematch. The Brewers, who are 39 and 35,
- 8:25they're going to go with the righty Freddy Peralta.
- 8:28He's six and four with a 2.6 O ERA.
- 8:31Meanwhile, the Cubbies are going to go with the fellow righty
- 8:34Jamison. Tie on He's seven and three with
- 8:36a 4.38 ERA. Now, what do we see across the
- 8:39market here? Well, this game opened with the
- 8:41Cubs very short -115 home favorite Milwaukee around a -, 1
- 8:46O 5 Rd. dog. So relatively short almost to
- 8:49pick em type game. And what where are the sharps
- 8:52gone with this one? Well, they're a hammer in the
- 8:53Cubbies got a short, you know, chalk price here, coin flip
- 8:57price almost at Wrigley at home because we've seen Chicago go
- 9:01from -115 now up to -125 or even -130 across the market.
- 9:07I jumped on Cubs -125 at ESPN bet again, shop around some
- 9:12books now up to -130. But aside from that 15 cent line
- 9:15move, the Cubs have some pretty good bet splits at DraftKings.
- 9:19They're getting 81% of money line bets, 83% of money line
- 9:23dollars. And then over at Circa out in
- 9:25Vegas, which caters to wiseguy betters and doesn't limit you or
- 9:28reject you, which I think is always a good, good thing to do
- 9:32because again, you'll get blasted by bad PR from people
- 9:35who get limited. And then also, I always mention
- 9:38this, but you know, books that limit you, and I'm not going to
- 9:41name names. Everyday you're betting 100
- 9:43bucks. Then you log in and it says you
- 9:45can only bet $8. It's such a stupid thing to do
- 9:47because, yeah, technically the book may save a few dollars
- 9:51because if you're winning better, you know, you can win
- 9:54less. But bad PR.
- 9:56And then also the books really use that knowledge to their
- 9:59advantage. They welcome sharp action Billy
- 10:01Walters when I was researching a section on Billy Walters in my
- 10:05book about sharp betters for the the NFL sharp ending playbook,
- 10:09which comes out again less than two months from now.
- 10:12But he always said he he wanted the books to quote UN quote or
- 10:15he wanted or sorry, the books wanted him to quote UN quote,
- 10:18open them up, which basically means hit a side give.
- 10:22Yeah, they'll take the bet. Maybe they'll lose the bet
- 10:24because he's a good better. But it really gives them Intel
- 10:26and inside information on who the wise guys like, which really
- 10:29helps them mold and shape the number.
- 10:31So again, circus quote, UN quote, doing it the right way.
- 10:35But anyway, at circa, only 38% of money line bets on the Cubs,
- 10:40but it accounts for 67% of money line dollars.
- 10:44So good low bets, higher dollar split if you'll get sweet spot.
- 10:48Home favorites -130 to -150 playing an opponent who made the
- 10:51playoffs the previous year. They're 45 and 2366%.
- 10:56Fourteen percent ROI when both teams are coming off a day off,
- 11:00which is the case here because you had that rain out yesterday.
- 11:03Take the favorite. Very simple.
- 11:05That matched a second ago with the White Sox matches here with
- 11:09the Cubs. Those teams are 78 and 4166
- 11:12percent, 7% ROI Cubs, by the way, 36 and 1472 percent, 16%
- 11:20ROI as a favorite. That makes them the number one
- 11:23best chalk team in baseball. Chicago's offense.
- 11:26Let's hope they show up today with Tucker and Pete Crow,
- 11:29Armstrong and the Crew and Suzuki.
- 11:32But they're hitting 254 on the year, 99 homers, 390 runs
- 11:36scored. Milwaukee's only hitting 237
- 11:39with 66 homers and 319 runs scored.
- 11:43Digging these pictures a little bit.
- 11:44Tie on. It's been really good in June.
- 11:46Knock on wood, but he's made three starts.
- 11:48He has a 2.29 ERA, He's only given up five earned runs and
- 11:5219.2 and he's pitched. Meanwhile, Cubs are five and O
- 11:56in his last five starts and at home this year he's done well
- 11:59three and one 2.72 ERA. Meanwhile, Peralta guys been
- 12:04incredible at home, 4 and O 1.32 ERA, but on the road 2 and four
- 12:093.86 ERA. So I want to back tie on at home
- 12:12and fade Peralta on the road. And then you look at just
- 12:14classic home Rd. splits. The Cubs are 24 and 12 at home,
- 12:18pretty good home record. Milwaukee only 16 and 20 on the
- 12:21road. So we open at a short kind of
- 12:24favorite price for Chicago. That price has only gone up.
- 12:27We got good bet splits, especially at Circa.
- 12:29Better offense, good home Rd. splits from the starting
- 12:32pitchers and overall. Cubs playing well at Wrigley.
- 12:35I'm laying it with Chicago here guys.
- 12:37I got Cubs -125 again. Shop around.
- 12:40Somewhat closer now to -130 then last bite of the night.
- 12:45Let's go right back to Hot Lanta. 7:15 PM Eastern Time,
- 12:49first pitch. We have the Braves hosting final
- 12:53game of the series against the New York Mets.
- 12:56Now the Braves who are 33 and 39, they've won the first two
- 12:59games of this three-game set. They won the opener 5 to 4 in
- 13:02extra innings as a -145 home favorite.
- 13:05They won again for us yesterday, 5 nothing.
- 13:07Thank you Chris Sale coming through as a -, 215 home
- 13:11favorite. So for tonight's series finale,
- 13:13Mets who are 45 and 29 are going to go with the ready Clay
- 13:17Holmes, seven and three 2.87 ERA.
- 13:20Braves meanwhile going with the ready Spencer Strider one and
- 13:23five 4.35 ERA. So what have you seen across the
- 13:27market for this one? Well, the Braves opened as a
- 13:30short -125 home favorite New York around a + 105 Rd. dog.
- 13:35And basically at DraftKings, the public doesn't know what to do.
- 13:38Public is split down the middle 5050 at DraftKings.
- 13:41And what do we always talk about when the tickets are down the
- 13:44middle 5050? Theoretically, in a vacuum, you
- 13:47would assume the line really shouldn't move at all because
- 13:50you would expect the odds makers have balanced action.
- 13:52No need to adjust the price. So anytime you see a 5050 split
- 13:56member only talking tickets, yet you see a line move, that's
- 14:01always notable because in this case, it's 5050.
- 14:04But we've seen the line move a little bit toward the Braves.
- 14:07Braves have gone up from -125 to -130 some shops now even as high
- 14:12as -135. So it tells me we got smart
- 14:14money riding the Braves, which is what I want to do.
- 14:18So I got Atlanta -130 at Bet MGM.
- 14:21Braves do have a really good bet split at Circa.
- 14:25So even though DraftKings, the public is 5050 out in Vegas, at
- 14:28Circa, the Braves are only getting 40% of money line bets,
- 14:32but 76% of money line dollars. So a really sharp split.
- 14:36They're out in Vegas and then we have a lot of system matches on
- 14:39the Braves. Here's the top three.
- 14:41If you're a home favorite with a line move in your favor and you
- 14:44also made the playoffs the previous year, those teams are
- 14:47156 and 7468 percent, 8% ROI home favorites.
- 14:52Made the playoffs playing an opponent who also made the
- 14:54playoffs. So basically big game rivalry, 2
- 14:57good teams. Typically you've seen that
- 14:59favorite do very well. 74 and 3767 percent, 12% ROI.
- 15:06Sweet spot home favorites -130 to -150 playing an opponent who
- 15:10made the playoffs. 45 and 2366% with a 14% ROI.
- 15:16Also, Braves are kind of fishy. You're a team with a sub 500
- 15:19record favored and becoming more of a favorite against a team
- 15:22that's well above 500. I want to embrace that fishy
- 15:25side with Atlanta. And then also a little bit of
- 15:27gamblers fallacy. Like hey, Mets are a good team.
- 15:29There's no way they get swept by the sub 500 Braves.
- 15:33Well don't, don't bet based on that premise.
- 15:35Let's bet based on what the market is telling us, which is
- 15:38this line moving toward the Braves.
- 15:40Braves are, by the way, 2021 and 15 at home, Mets 18 and 19 on
- 15:45the road. And oh, by the way, I popped
- 15:48open the Juice Reel app and noticed a 19% sharp mush edge on
- 15:53the Braves. So good sharp mush edge from
- 15:56Juice Reel. 5050 ticket count, but line move on.
- 15:59Atlanta. Great bet split at Circa.
- 16:01Bunch of good system matches here.
- 16:02I'm going to ride the Braves see if Strider can hopefully pitch
- 16:05well tonight I got Atlanta -130 at bet MGM.
- 16:10So Saint Louis Cardinals game one cubbies Atlanta Braves.
- 16:14Let's try to get 2 out of three and continue our our hot streak
- 16:17here. So that about does it for
- 16:20episode 3 O two of the all systems go sports betting

- 17:20betting based on what we think or want or hope to happen, but
- 17:24betting based on what the market is telling us where's the smart
- 17:27money? Where can we go against the
- 17:28public? What are the system matches say?
- 17:30What are the bet splits say taking a overall data-driven
- 17:34approach flat betting, not parlaying.
- 17:37If this style of betting has appealed to you, you kind of
- 17:39starting to see the the benefits of it and it gives you a

- 18:18lines are set, how and why they move, how to read line movement,
- 18:20how to locate sharp action, how to place a bet in person or
- 18:23online, how to shop for the best line, how to set up a bankroll

- 19:21WNBANBA finals. I mean Halliburton's hurt.
- 19:24I had no want no take on this game tonight.
- 19:27Line has moved to the Thunder 5 1/2 up to 6 1/2 and we have seen
- 19:30this total drop 225 to 222. So I'd be surprised if it didn't
- 19:35end tonight. But anyway, Rhythms got you
- 19:37covered for all those AI back models and predictions and then
- 19:40you got to go download Juice Reel.
- 19:42Juice Reel is a great all-encompassing sports betting
- 19:44app #1 if you enjoy the pod. This pod is free.
- 19:48It cost you nothing to listen. If you'd like to support the
- 19:51pod, let me know you appreciate it.
- 19:53Could you please consider signing up to get the All
- 19:55Systems Go official best bet picks on Juice Real?
- 19:59It cost you $4.99 a week. It's basically a cup of coffee.
- 20:03Or if you're like my wife and go to Starbucks, Starbucks.
- 20:06I always go to Dunk, she goes to Starbucks.
- 20:09Those coffees I don't even know. They're like 8 bucks.
- 20:12But anyway, for $4.99 a week you can get the official all systems
- 20:16go best bets. You'll support the pod and also
- 20:19you'll get the plays as soon as I put them into my apps and they
- 20:22get synced up to Juice Reel. So you can hopefully beat some
- 20:25closing numbers and get some better lines earlier in the day.
- 20:29But also you're going at the Robo Jackson best bet picks, the
- 20:31sharp mush indicators, the arbitrage plays, the shop for
- 20:34the best line futures, sync up your sports books, get a running
- 20:37report card of your action. It's all available to you when
- 20:40you download Juice Reel. So download Rhythm, download
- 20:43Juice Reel, give him a five star review in the App Store.
- 20:46Lastly, do you have a live odds page?
- 20:49If you don't have one, you need one because betting is hard
- 20:52enough. But if you don't know all the
- 20:54games available to you that day, the start times, the live
- 20:57scoring, the live odds for in game wagering, most importantly,
- 21:01what did the line open at? What's the current price?
- 21:03Pull up the line history, track the market.
- 21:05As soon as the team gets steamed, it gets lit up in red.
- 21:09You need that. I cannot stress how important a
- 21:11live odds page is. So maybe you have 1:00 and it's
- 21:14free, but it's slow and doesn't give you all the sports and all
- 21:18the books. Or maybe you you don't have one
- 21:21and you need one. Or maybe you have one, it's
- 21:23really expensive and you're looking to save some money and
- 21:25down. Not downgrade the quality of the
- 21:27product, but downgrade the price.
- 21:28Well, you know what you should do?
- 21:30You should give Odds Logic a shot.
- 21:32Go to oddslogic.com/josh 123 for a 7 day free trial and 50% off
- 21:38your first month of service. So that about does it guys.
- 21:42As always, I'll leave you with two final thoughts.
- 21:44One, whether I see you at the Borgata in Atlantic City, Twin
- 21:48River in Rhode Island, the Brooklyn, New Hampshire,
- 21:50Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun down in Connecticut at the Encore in
- 21:53Boston or Plain Ridge Park Casino, REMGM Springfield or the
- 21:57Nash in Nashville, New Hampshire, and my neck of the
- 21:59woods. Or of course, out in the desert
- 22:01where the true grinders get down or Billy Walters sends his
- 22:04number runners with lowest choose possible is found at the
- 22:06South Point or jump it in the stadium swimming pool.
- 22:09When you cash a big ticket at Circa, wherever it may be.
- 22:12I'm going to we're going to walk into the book.
- 22:14I'm going to see you from a distance.
- 22:15You're going to see me. We're going to smile and we're
- 22:17going to we're going to bust open a broom from the janitor's
- 22:19closet and we're going to we're going to just show that broom
- 22:22and smile because we busted out the broom last night.
- 22:24Guys, show me a Braves ticket, a Dodgers ticket, a Reds ticket.
- 22:29First one's on me, next one's on you.
- 22:31We'll post about the book and sweat some sharp, data-driven
- 22:33place together. So as always, guys 3 and OO and
- 22:36three, one and two, two and one. Hot, cold, great night, terrible
- 22:41night, grinding. Whatever the case may be, we
- 22:45never let the previous day's results, good or bad, influence
- 22:48us the next day. I know it sounds cliche, but we
- 22:51just got to keep grinding that model and that blueprint.
- 22:53And you might know by now that model and blueprint.
- 22:56It's complex, but you can boil it down to this against the
- 22:59public with the house, with the pros, flat bet, avoid parlays,
- 23:03get that closing line value. If we can do that, and I'm
- 23:06confident that we can, then guess what long term we're going
- 23:09to be successful sports bettors. So have a great Thirsty
- 23:12Thursday, everybody. It will be on SiriusXM decent
- 23:15live tonight with my buddies Patrick Maher and Dustin Sweet
- 23:18Olson tonight, 8:00 Eastern Time.
- 23:20And then we'll be right back at it tomorrow for a big feed the
- 23:23public Friday edition of the ASG pod powered by Rhythm, which
- 23:27will be episode 3 O3, by the way.
- 23:29So have a great Thursday, everybody stay cool.
- 23:31If you're like me, it is hot as you know what in New England
- 23:34today tells you officially summers probably here and I got
- 23:38to go mow the lawn. So I'll be sweating bullets out
- 23:41there. But the yard grass is getting a
- 23:43little high. So we got to we got to make sure
- 23:45we get that that cut. So anyway, guys, have a great
- 23:48Thursday. I'll see you tomorrow for
- 23:50another edition of the All Systems Go sports betting
- 23:52podcast. Good luck and have a great
- 23:54Thursday night.
