- 0:00Yo, what they do, little baby, We back again. Yes,
- 0:05you know what I'm saying. This is like the unofficial refresh. He came
- 0:11out of nowhere. But its yeah, coincide with we're done with the salon.
- 0:16We're opening Monday, as you hear this, so it's gonna drop.
- 0:20We're recording on Thursday. It's gonna drop as soon as we drop, as
- 0:23soon as we record. So y'all gonna get this right away. Shout out
- 0:29to a ba oasis by Viot. Let's go running due, Yes, sir,
- 0:33we gotta. She got some interviews tomorrow, like four interviews, and
- 0:37she already's getting Saturday kind of filled up. So we're hitting the ground running,
- 0:42man, were lot. I'm super hype. But yeah, man,
- 0:47we're gonna get into this thing. We're gonna hit you out with a little
- 0:50bit of current events and stuff that's going around, you know what I'm saying,
- 0:54A lot of the the little lighthearted and uh entertainment kind of news and
- 0:59stuff. We're not gonna dig deep into nothing, you know, political or
- 1:00nothing like that, but you know, as far as when it comes to
- 1:03the current events, you know, especially because I don't be wanting to give
- 1:07none of these Buffoons, any any airtime burnt events. So the big news
- 1:15of the week Aaron Rodgers Man, Monday night football opening game. You know
- 1:23what I'm saying, It's like I've been moralizing it the game of the week.
- 1:26I mean, the guy comes out with the American flag, it's nine
- 1:30to eleven, wore plays in injured down for the season. Man, can
- 1:34we can we tap into how you are a Packers fans, so you've have
- 1:38been a fan of him and then seeing him go through that that affects you
- 1:42any different. So I wasn't watching the game, but I was just kind
- 1:47of like tapped into like everything going on around him because, like you said,
- 1:51you know, being a Packers fan, and obviously I was a Aaron
- 1:53Rodgers. I am an Aaron Rodgers fan. You know, I still kind
- 1:57of kept tabs on what was going on with him, the same thing that
- 1:59I've been with like Kawai when he left the Spurs, Like still stay being
- 2:02a fan and I'm always tapped in what he got going on. So,
- 2:07I mean it really was looking like a situation where he really could have made
- 2:09something shake there. Man. So it's when I when I heard it.
- 2:13I remember in the in the fantasy football chat, y'all, y'all started writing,
- 2:16dang, Aaron Rodgers. I'm like, yo, what happened? Because
- 2:19I wasn't watching the game and it was so fresh that I was looking online
- 2:23and none was popping up. A minute later, all the news started coming
- 2:27out, and I was like, wow, bro, like, and this's
- 2:30what Shannon Sharp said. Man, it's not even just the injury, and
- 2:31like you're out a year. It's not just a regular year out a year.
- 2:35It's like a grueling year recovery and rehab is way harder than the training.
- 2:40So it's a thing where it's like you gotta you really coming from under
- 2:46zero to come back. So it's like, it's gonna be interesting to see
- 2:49what decision he makes. Is as of right now, he hasn't said if
- 2:52he's gonna stay, you know, and keep trying to play after he comes
- 2:54back, you know, so we'll see what happens. What y'all think about
- 2:58it, Yeah, I mean you basically said it all, man. I
- 3:01think just from a standpoint of, like you said, the amount of money
- 3:07that the NFL put into this story, the Hard Knocks show following the story,
- 3:10the all of the commentary, you know, and and just time spent
- 3:15on this transition, Like everybody was hyped for this moment, you know what
- 3:20I mean, to see what was gonna happen. So, you know,
- 3:23I'm not an Aaron Rodgers or Packers fan, but I do respect Aaron Rodgers
- 3:25as a player, and to see him go down like that, I mean,
- 3:29you know, I feel like he has a lot of competitiveness in him
- 3:32that he probably wouldn't call it quits. But you know that also comes into
- 3:38question when you consider his age, you know, and and like you know,
- 3:43I think what he did eighteen years with the Packer or something like that,
- 3:45you know what I mean. So it's like that's that's a lot of
- 3:47time, you know that you've been playing this sport, and to get injured
- 3:52like that, you know, who knows, I don't know. It's a
- 3:53tough it's a tough tough outcome for that situation. Like truthfully, probably the
- 4:00only thing that could have been worse is if it happened on the first play,
- 4:02you know. Yeah, Like it's just such a place. Yeah,
- 4:06it's like it's it's like there's nothing that can be worse than it than that,
- 4:11you know what I mean. But the thing to me was all the
- 4:14factors that played into it. And it's just like that, the stuff that
- 4:17got going on with the and this this is the way I look at it,
- 4:21and I'm gonna have like a look at I look into it like I
- 4:27accept all off factors. So they say the AstroTurf, right, the fake
- 4:31grass, So if it was real grass, maybe his his angle would have
- 4:35not been like that. Then you got the superstitious stuff like Vinnie tests Verity
- 4:42going out there his big year and literally having the same exact injury on the
- 4:46same exact drive. I heard a lot of jets cursed stuff this week,
- 4:50Yeah, you know what I mean. And then you got the old Packer
- 4:54fans who are in bars cheering on this injury and it being the worst of
- 4:59him, the sick. And it's like when you tell the story, this
- 5:02could be a movie, you know what I mean, Like this is a
- 5:04movie where the what's the protagonist is the main person where you know, they
- 5:12rise and they fall and they rise again. So it could be that,
- 5:15But at the same time, there was just so much. It's just this
- 5:19is a movie story, and to me, I feel it feels like it
- 5:24was scripted. I'm not saying it was scripted. It's just unbelievable, unbelievable,
- 5:29and it's hard to just digest. I feel bad for him, being
- 5:32a fan or not. I watched Hard Knocks and it was great watching that
- 5:36team come together and seeing his influence on everybody. And I was like,
- 5:40you know, be albeit they are our enemies because we share home home field
- 5:45with them, the stadium with them, Giant Stone, don't really respect just
- 5:49like that, I was hoping they did. All right, we're in different
- 5:51we're in different divisions, we could play each other. So it's just unbelievable.
- 5:57Let's see that happen. Man. It's definitely a crazy situation that everybody's
- 6:01going to be, you know, cognizant of and always keeping their ear to
- 6:06it to see how it ends. Because it's definitely he got everybody on it
- 6:10on their toes right now, you know, and everybody's kind of saying the
- 6:14same thing, like nobody would fallow him if he just wraps it up.
- 6:15You know, He's like, if you think he's done, you think knowing
- 6:18him and all of us knowing him and knowing the player he is, you
- 6:23think he'll wrap it up from what I know of him, just from like
- 6:26like the same thing as y'all seeing him on TV and stuff. I would
- 6:29say that there's no way to tell with him. He could lean that direction,
- 6:33you know what I'm saying, Like, I literally could see him saying
- 6:36I'm not going out like that, and I could also see him saying,
- 6:39this is a sign for me to call it quits. I wouldn't be shocked
- 6:43if you win either way. Possibly either way. Yeah, but yeah,
- 6:46man, last time we spoke, or either the last time or the time
- 6:49before, Quincy was talking about him going to the a W show, and
- 6:54the pay per view that came up right after that show just happened to be
- 6:59a big, eventful pay per view for them. Because CM Punk a big
- 7:02wrestler, probably like the only wrestler people wouldn't know if they don't know anything
- 7:06about wrestling besides like Hulk Hogan and the Rock and Stone Cold, like CM
- 7:12Punk is probably like the only guy outside of those guys that people might know
- 7:15who he is, you know, and basically he was one of the wrestlers
- 7:19in aw He got into a backstage fight after you know, a long history
- 7:26of a lot of drama going on backstage with him and other wrestlers and he
- 7:30ended up getting fired after that pay per view, and now their speculation of
- 7:34him possibly going to the WWE because he has that connection because he actually fought
- 7:39in UFC, so he came from WW, left WW to go to UFC,
- 7:44so he has ties to both companies and you know they're round two right
- 7:49as well. Yep, So they're kind of trying to like, see,
- 7:53oh man, well he end up back in WW, but he had a
- 7:55real rough exit from WW also where he got fired, you know what I'm
- 7:59saying. So it's kind of crazy how it's gone down for him as far
- 8:03as his career goes, because in the eyes of wrestling fans, he's like
- 8:07one of the goats and like new where wrestling fans will tell you he's the
- 8:11best, Like they'll be like, let me tell you what I saw about
- 8:15this. Now, taking account of the last episode we had where we talked
- 8:20about the script, I heard this is written in the script, and there
- 8:24there's certain signs that can tell you how it's written in the script and that
- 8:30he's gonna pop back up in the biggest event before anybody realizes it. I
- 8:35could see. I honestly feel like what happened with him basically like he was
- 8:41kind of on thin ice with that company anyway, and then he got into
- 8:45a fight with a dude and like grabbed the owner of the company, like
- 8:50he was like people had to separate them because they say he was about to
- 8:52do something to him, you know what I mean. And it's like,
- 8:56Bro, if you already know you on thin ice, you know you're not
- 8:58you don't have like many big pay days coming. I feel like exactly what
- 9:03you're saying, Joe, Like he probably already knew Yo, I got to
- 9:05offer from ww regardless, I'm obligated to be here. How do I get
- 9:11out of this contract? You know what I'm saying? Like, that's how
- 9:15I see it, Like that's my Like wrestling, they're always trying to work
- 9:18some kind of ain't the Montreal screw Job? Why did that happen? Because
- 9:24WWFOK took took the first step before Brett Hart. Did you remember the screw
- 9:31job? Uh huh. They didn't want to pay him what he thought he
- 9:35was worth, and they was like, bro, we can make it.
- 9:35He was already going at WCW YEP, so they're like, hey, we're
- 9:39just gonna screw this guy over right now. Since he's leaving us anyway.
- 9:43So it's like if you stopped them from screwing you over, and by putting
- 9:48yourself in the plan of them screwing you over, you know what I'm saying,
- 9:52That's that's my way. I don't know. We'll see and at the
- 9:54end of the day, we'll see how it turns out. But I love
- 9:56that you can still question the script and just be anticipating and just exciting to
- 10:03find out how I was going to turn out. What you think about the
- 10:07whole situation, Quincy, And you saw him when you went right, was
- 10:11he on the show? When I don't think he was on that epio like
- 10:15he wasn't fair that day. But yeah, I mean you made it kind
- 10:20of a good point, Joe, Like I actually started, I went down
- 10:24like a little rabbit hole in my head thinking about that. Uh. I
- 10:28don't know, man, I feel like, you know, when it comes
- 10:31to seeing punk man, like you said, he has a history and with
- 10:35a wrestling company like AW that's trying to build itself up, especially like I
- 10:41mean, obviously I mentioned Hills before, like the show. You know what
- 10:43I'm saying, I mentioned it before, But it's good. It's a it's
- 10:46a it's a good show to kind of tap into like those smaller branded companies.
- 10:50And I'm just looking from a business standpoint, you know, somebody like
- 10:54seeing Punk having an incident like that, especially me as the owner bro Like,
- 10:58I'm not whether he brings fans or not. I probably wouldn't tolerate that
- 11:03because you're trying to the biggest thing when it comes to building, like you
- 11:05know, a company, especially like a wrestling company, is trust, you
- 11:09know, and and feeling like you can work with people that you trust,
- 11:13and you know, that kind of a situation definitely, you know, finishes
- 11:18that a little bit. That's a good point, Quincy, because going to
- 11:20the scripted thing that Joe brought up, it's like, yeah, it's scripted,
- 11:24but the guy is still slamming you across the ring onto a people exactly
- 11:28trust that he's gonna do it in a way that it's not going to give
- 11:31you permanent damage. You know, it's exactly you're gonna you're gonna feel it
- 11:35for like a week probably, but you know, you need the right person
- 11:39there to make sure that, you know what I'm saying, it's not gonna
- 11:41be a crazy catastrophic thing. So That's a great point, Quincy, like
- 11:46that trust needs to be there, especially with him and other wrestlers, so
- 11:48it might be tough for them, Like, Yo, you're causing all that
- 11:50trouble over there trying to come over here. Like nah, bro, we
- 11:54don't need none of that. Yeah, a great point. And yeah man,
- 12:00Now with the crowning jewel of the News of the Week, which is
- 12:05going to wrap it up as well, NAS new album coming out on his
- 12:11fiftieth birthday, which is today, Thursday the fourteenth, at nine o'clock.
- 12:16He's dropping an album today, brom Magic three Man. And this is the
- 12:22last one. You know. They announced that right this last one. Six
- 12:26albums. Bro Man, I'll tell you this. I'll tell you this.
- 12:30He's the goat bro. Yeah. I mean, oh man, damn the
- 12:35goat bro who dropped five Fire albums and then catch off with the end of
- 12:41the trilogy of Hold On, Hold On five Fire albums, Fire Fire,
- 12:46Bro Fire. I have not heard anything from either of you or either of
- 12:52all my NAS fans friends about Magic two. I haven't heard a peep.
- 12:56I have request I listen. I literally this movie. Guy said everything in
- 13:03your life that you listen to. But I haven't had one Magic two songs
- 13:07from y'all. I'll tell you this. I'll tell you this. I feel
- 13:13like after Keith Kadi two, I kind of stopped mentioning the projects because he
- 13:18kept coming out when I was still soaking up music, when he was dropping
- 13:22new music. I get it, but I heard what I've heard. Y'all
- 13:28have a point about every single album, and y'all it's y'all and like,
- 13:33okay, so so how about this. I have never heard one thing about
- 13:39Magic two. That's all I'm gonna say. All I'll say then, is
- 13:41that Iverban Magic Johnson song is ridiculous. I was literally listening to the song
- 13:46with him in fifty this morning and it led me too, And I started
- 13:52listening to some songs from Kati two, and I listened to a couple of
- 13:54songs from Kati three. I was listening. I was listening to us this
- 13:56morning. Bro. Then, But that's my point. Albums, that's my
- 14:01point I literally got. I think I got two of them are final already.
- 14:03Y'all could just say he went five for six. Nah, you don't
- 14:09more coming, y'all. You guys have sent me a song from every album
- 14:13in his last five albums personally y'all have, but one Mike done was the
- 14:20first single and we dropped that in what you mean? That was a single
- 14:26off of Magic two. We dropped that the day it dropped, and the
- 14:30one with him in fifty Come on, man, show, Come on man.
- 14:35I will say, I will say from the actual like drop of the
- 14:39project, I have not shared anything. I haven't, but I mean,
- 14:46I'm not taking that away that that's not Bro. It's gotten to the point
- 14:48where it's not even a surprise. No more Magic three about the drop tonight,
- 14:52and I'm not surprised that it's going to be a good project. Yeh
- 14:56fix in a row. If it wasn't for y'all, you two, I
- 14:58wouldn't listen and a young thug or gunn this album. And if y'all would
- 15:01have sent something to make me listening to nas album. That's why a week
- 15:05later I was like, damn, he dropped an album a week ago.
- 15:07I haven't heard anything from y'all about it. That's why I remember. I
- 15:13literally remember washing my yeah, because I definitely remember washing my car listening to
- 15:16that project on repeat on Magic two. But I think after like KD three,
- 15:20Bro, I stopped like mentioning because it seemed like hit Boy and nas
- 15:24Bro. It was automatic. At this point, there was no real reason
- 15:28for me to continue to mention Yo. Nasi's new project is fired. Everyone
- 15:31he dropped was fired. And I'm kind of like you said, Quincy,
- 15:35it's a lot of music to take in, Like you're I'm always listening to
- 15:39it, you know what I mean. It's in my rotation now where I'm
- 15:41like starting up even from like the last two now I'm starting to pick like
- 15:46my favorite songs and remembering the names because I don't be looking at the names
- 15:48of the songs either. I'll just be listening, Oh yeah, what I
- 15:52mean. And then once it comes up again, I'm like, Yo,
- 15:54this one's fired. What's the name of this one? You know what I
- 15:56mean? Like, it takes me a couple of times, like, but
- 15:58it's it's definitely I would say if it was whack bro, it's all been
- 16:03fired, bro. And when I say fired, I'm not saying like it's
- 16:06like they're all five mic albums, you know what I mean. But to
- 16:10me, a fire album is they got at least three joints that you could
- 16:15rock, that you could rock with, rock with and then the rest of
- 16:17it, it's it all hits you good on the first listen, you know
- 16:19what I mean? Like there's always lyrics that you could catch, you know
- 16:22what I'm saying that, And that's the thing with Nas Bro, Like,
- 16:23even if the song is not that dope, if you let it ride,
- 16:27he's gonna say something that you're gonna be like, damn Bro. That was
- 16:30all right, yeah, go ahead, No, no, go ahead,
- 16:34because I'm gonna segue a little bit. Go ahead. All I'll say is
- 16:38this Lester has been saying nasense the goat forever. I wasn't really the biggest
- 16:42NAS fan, and it's not from a standpoint of I didn't like nonsense at
- 16:48rapper. I thought Nas was a dope rapper, but as far as the
- 16:52music, I couldn't enjoy a lot of the music because the production for me
- 16:57wasn't it. I feel like the last six projects, NAS was able to
- 17:02show anybody that thought like that. Why other people was like he's the goat,
- 17:07you know what I'm saying, Like, but yeah, so this is
- 17:10what I want to tell you. So Nas, it's like Lebron right now,
- 17:15right no, And let's let me say I'm not comparing them as like
- 17:18who they are as goats. Now's like Lebron that he's still going and it's
- 17:22I'm team year right, And then you got Jordan's who what does he need
- 17:27to keep going for? So I see it everywhere on Facebook, on Instagram,
- 17:32on everything you could possibly see. Jay Z can never Why would jay
- 17:37Z need to come and drop six albums fire albums three years with the hot
- 17:41ass producer, like just to prove nas Rons don't need to do it either.
- 17:47Yeah, I know, that's that's what I'm saying. Lebron don't need
- 17:49to keep playing either, But he's just playing because he can and he wants
- 17:52to and he just can. He just can't. He can still hit it
- 17:59these any years later deliver what he's been delivering since year one for everybody,
- 18:04just because he can't. So it's like, why why so that that's that
- 18:10automatically warrant the next the person who they're compared against to do the same.
- 18:15If not, they're whack? Does that person have to do the same in
- 18:18order to prove that they're better or they're whacked just because they don't do it.
- 18:22That's because just like not just like Lebron and Jordans, They're always gonna
- 18:27get compared no matter what exactly. But I'll tell you this, like,
- 18:33at the end of the day, anybody that said jay Z could never is
- 18:37bugging, you know what I mean, Like they're bugging because like any time
- 18:41jay Z drops and whenever he wants to drop, it's pretty dope. Typically
- 18:45nine times out of ten. I don't think I've heard him missed for a
- 18:48while. So anybody that's saying that, they're obviously just riding the wave.
- 18:52But I mean just from a standpoint of like the bigger picture, Yeah,
- 18:57Nah's found something with hit Boy, and I'm happy that he did. I'm
- 19:00happy he did, and think that a lot of people don't like discount too
- 19:06much. Is this is just him locked in? Like bro, there's barely
- 19:10some of them don't even have features, and they're the ones that do have
- 19:12features, and it's amazing. Don't give me dog like this this is like
- 19:18like I don't even know how to describe it because it's literally never ever been
- 19:22done before. Like there's never been an artist in any genre, you know,
- 19:27honestly, Dog, The only person I can compare it to is Frank
- 19:30Sinatra. The only the only person that I could say genuinely really really got
- 19:37better, like and understood how to use their voice, but how to make
- 19:44their music like half as long as not as though that one again, he
- 19:48didn't even last half as long as him though. Who oh wow, I'm
- 19:55about to say he laughs, he died. I was gonna say that.
- 19:57You're talking about blue Eyes. No, No, I heard that from my
- 20:03bed. Yeah, Like Frank Sinatra is the only one that you could like
- 20:07even bring that up with, you know what I'm saying, Like, it's
- 20:11like, it's it goes back to what y'all saying about jay Z. It's
- 20:12not that jay Z could never but he's just like like Joseph, he just
- 20:17is not doing it, you know what I mean? Like if jay Z
- 20:18just out of nowhere just was like, yo, I'm gonna drop six albums,
- 20:22like people would would say the same thing, like damn. So that's
- 20:26what I'm saying as a Z fans. Should I stop liking him less because
- 20:30how good is not is doing? Because I love how good NAS is doing
- 20:33and I'm enjoying it. But it's like should that is that trying to?
- 20:37Like basically it's crazy to me that anybody would ever listen to one thing and
- 20:41think in their head about the other thing, like you know, never listen
- 20:45to NASA, and was like like, oh, jay Z could never.
- 20:48But that's how I feel like all these commentators and all this shit I see
- 20:52on Facebook and Instagram and everything, like why are you even bringing up jay
- 20:56Z just enjoying OS. But it's weird too because like, but that's kind
- 21:03of what happens with anybody that's like considered a goat in their in their realm.
- 21:07Because if you think about it from a standpoint, like when jay Z
- 21:11was actually dropping a lot of music consistently, I don't think I heard many
- 21:15people saying NAS could never you know what I'm saying. But it's just jay
- 21:18Z gets the accolades, jay Z gets to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,
- 21:22and NAS comes out with these bangers back to back to back, and
- 21:26now you want to make a comparison, which with that being said, I
- 21:30think that you know, that conversation needs to start being had about NAS,
- 21:36man, like for real, for real, because I mean, like I
- 21:40said before, bro, like you know, there was a lot of older
- 21:44NAS music that you know, it just wasn't hitting from me, No,
- 21:45no disrespect, to him, because the man could wrap his ass off.
- 21:48Just the music aspect of it wasn't hitting from me some of them songs,
- 21:52but I mean there was songs. Shoot, Rewind, I still listen to
- 21:56that to this day, and you can visualize, you know what I'm saying,
- 22:00visualize the story he's telling it. And it's just like, you know,
- 22:04he was putting out so much music, so it was almost like quantity
- 22:07over quality. But now it's quantity and quality and it's crazy. And the
- 22:11people that's not even like really tapped into the music don't even understand that jay
- 22:17Z was a huge Nas fan, you know what I'm saying. Like Nas
- 22:19was even a big inspiration for jay Z, like even like to switch his
- 22:23style up from what he was rapping like before, Like after he heard Naz
- 22:27was, like you said, a rapping more in New York after he heard
- 22:30NAS's he and he even says that an interview, says it himself. So
- 22:34it's like it's not even a thing of like like oh jay Z or Nas
- 22:38or whatever. Obviously, like when the battle thing happened, everybody's gonna always
- 22:42put that together. But you know, you enjoying music, like goat music,
- 22:47you know what I'm saying, Just like that the Michael Jackson and Prince
- 22:48thing. It's like, bro, you got music from Michael Jackson and Prince,
- 22:52Like, how can you go wrong? You know what? It was?
- 22:53That actual rivalry like that. That's something that I never really knew historically,
- 22:57something that I've never very five. But a story I've heard many times
- 23:02from different people is supposedly Michael Jackson would like basically like if he got a
- 23:10random idea in the middle of the night, he would make sure to like
- 23:15lock it down because he was like yo, like basically he had to take
- 23:19every little like ray of light he could if not, God was going to
- 23:23give it to Prince, Like I gotta, Like I said, I haven't
- 23:27verified that, like to see if it's like a story that really goes around,
- 23:32but I've heard that a couple of times, like that same story that
- 23:34he would always be like yo, like trying to like basically like take stuff
- 23:38from the universe from Prince. You know what I mean, y'all y'all remember
- 23:42that Prince super Bowl performance? Yeah, yeah, this is off topic.
- 23:51You just you just reminded me of it, and man, like that's probably
- 23:53the most gracious, like I don't know, man, that performance bro basically
- 24:03na, but that that that was crazy, bro, Like that performance was
- 24:07something special. There's another story. Maybe we'll get into it on another podcast,
- 24:11but there's a story about Michael Jackson and Prince were in like a little
- 24:15club and Mike was trying to like kind of do some little funny stuff to
- 24:19to to upstage Prince and I believe Eddie Murphy was there. So it's a
- 24:26it's a pretty crazy story. I'm gonna get all the details and I'm gonna
- 24:29tell you next time, so y'all can hear it because it's a crazy story.
- 24:33Yeah, facts, but yeah, man, I was listening to theo
- 24:37Vandi other day. I forgot who the guest was, but he said something
- 24:40that really caught my attention, Like he was just they were kind of getting
- 24:42into like the way they described it was like the pornography of like the therapy
- 24:48kind of content nowadays, you know what I mean. Like we're like they're
- 24:52seeing a lot of people that are sharing, you know what I'm saying,
- 24:56But they're not sharing for a reason. They're not sharing to try to get
- 24:59a resolution, to actually make a change. It's just like it's trendy now
- 25:02you know, it's like now it's trendy to share. So let me just
- 25:06now, I get what you were saying. Put my issues out there and
- 25:10you know, show it to a million people. It might help me,
- 25:12it might not, but hey, it's what's in you know what I'm saying.
- 25:17So there's a lot of different aspects of that to tap into it.
- 25:19And I'm not saying that that's what I believe, and I'm just saying that's
- 25:22what they were saying. And that's how I'm a big recognizer to that.
- 25:26Bro I see. I hope, I hope to help people who need help,
- 25:30but I sometimes see people that like they're not looking for help. Man.
- 25:34Something something I always think your heart back in the day like that I
- 25:37still keep with me always is like I don't complain to anybody that can't help
- 25:41me, you know what I'm saying, Like as far as like somebody that
- 25:45has been in those shoes that can actually tell me like hey you should do
- 25:48X, Y and Z or somebody, you know what I'm saying, Like,
- 25:52there's no point in complaining to somebody that is not just to complain,
- 25:56you know what I'm saying. Complaining for the sake of complaining don't help nobody.
- 26:02So like I kind of equate that a little bit to the whole like
- 26:06sharing your stuff, you know, I don't. I don't think there's no
- 26:07wrong with it, and I feel like there is value, like in certain
- 26:11aspects, you know what I mean, especially it's like anything else, you
- 26:14know, you got to do it the right way, and you know,
- 26:17like I said, there's definitely good aspects to it. But there's also a
- 26:21lot of people that, for example, will posted just a video of them
- 26:23crying, like it's like, bro, but you had to set up the
- 26:26camera to you know what I'm saying. Like, it's like it's a weird
- 26:30dynamic and it kind of gets into like what I was saying, like it's
- 26:33like that kind of content is getting whored out. Like it was like a
- 26:37thing that started a few years ago where it was like getting on people's radar,
- 26:41the mental health thing and everything, but now it's like getting to a
- 26:42point where everybody wants to be in on it somehow, you know what I
- 26:45mean. Yeah, But I mean, like you said, it's it's not
- 26:48only just how you present, you know, present it, but it's also
- 26:53the reason behind it, you know, what I mean. I think that
- 26:56a lot of people, like you said, they'll set up a camera to
- 26:59cry because they're hoping for an attention. They're not hoping for a solution.
- 27:03They want a reaction. And you know, I think that's another aspect of
- 27:07it with the content, because I will say, Man, I'm a big
- 27:10proponent of or not proponent, but like you know, I'm a big person
- 27:14when it comes to advocate. Thank you, that's the word. I'm looking
- 27:17for. A big advocate when it comes to learning from your own mistakes and
- 27:22presenting that information for other people to learn as well. You know what I'm
- 27:26saying, so they don't have to make the same mistakes. That is different,
- 27:29you know what I mean. Like being able to see somebody say like,
- 27:32hey, this is what I went through, this is what I did,
- 27:34and this was the result. Cool. I appreciate that, you know
- 27:37what I mean, But to say, hey, this is what I'm going
- 27:41through and I don't have a solution, and I don't want a solution.
- 27:45I just want to tell you this is what I'm going through. Then what
- 27:47are we here for or what are you looking for? You know what I'm
- 27:48saying. The only possible thing could be attention a reaction, you know what
- 27:52I'm saying, and that that's not really giving anybody anything but waste some time
- 28:00and that. And I'll give the selfish side, which is primary selfish side,
- 28:03but it's the opposite side. It's like it's their guilt and knowing you
- 28:08can't help someone, so you're not gonna reach out and try to help them.
- 28:11Anybody who reaches out to me directly, I'm there. But for me
- 28:17to reach out to somebody, I really gotta feel, all right, this
- 28:19person genuinely needs someone to reach out to them. But do you think there's
- 28:23skill like life or death or something. You know what I'm saying, But
- 28:26you think do you think there's guilt and seeing someone post all this shit all
- 28:30the time, and it's like I'm not trying to reach out and I try
- 28:32to. I don't think I can help that situation. It's funny because I
- 28:34was literally just talking to my wife about this. It was earlier today,
- 28:38and I was like just talking about the point of view of like telling somebody
- 28:42something, and I'm like, honestly, it's like, what am I gonna
- 28:48say? Like it's their life, they're living it every day. What am
- 28:49I going to tell them about their own life that they don't already know.
- 28:53You know what I'm saying, Like the arrogance for me to just come in
- 28:56and say no more than you already Exactly, you should do this for your
- 28:59own own sake, you know what I'm saying. I don't know, you
- 29:02know what I'm saying. And at the same time, I'm not trying to
- 29:03be responsible for, like you making a decision that might not be the right
- 29:07decision for you. You know what I'm saying, kind of like you said,
- 29:11Joe, Like, if I feel like, like like you in some
- 29:14kind of trouble or something, I'll reach out. But if it's just something
- 29:15about the personal choices you make and they might not be the most optimal one,
- 29:19I can't help, Yeah, exactly, Like that's to ease their own
- 29:22you know. No, Yeah, so there's no guilt, do you feel?
- 29:29Ok? Ahead, Quincy, I just wanted to get no, go
- 29:30ahead because what I was gonna ask is probably gonna take us out of here,
- 29:33but go ahead. Yeah. No, I'm just saying, like there
- 29:37has to be a sense of sometimes you don't have to feel guilty about not
- 29:41reaching out to help somebody in certain situations as long as you do help people.
- 29:45And like I said, I post something here to day it said,
- 29:47if you remember how much you've helped people, then you haven't helped people enough.
- 29:51Like just help people. To help people, Bro, who need it
- 29:52and who you feel deserved. I'm about to turn forty. I've helped a
- 29:56lot of people who didn't deserve and I think that grew me into a per
- 30:00shun to recognize and realize who really needs help and be there for them and
- 30:04always be there for them. And some people I just I'm not going to
- 30:07be there for m What did uh uh the Van kind of say, like
- 30:18I honestly, I don't even really remember, but I know that he was
- 30:21just, you know, just talking about like his kind of feelings of feeling
- 30:26like he's not good enough and stuff like that, and just sharing that.
- 30:30And it's kind of like we said, you know, there's especially from somebody
- 30:33like theo Van, like he's inspired so many people, and it's like,
- 30:38you know, it's commendable and it's dope that that's what he wants to do,
- 30:42But at the same time, it's also a burden, you know what
- 30:45I mean. Like as like I said, like Bro, you're telling people
- 30:48what they should be doing and stuff because you feel that strongly about it.
- 30:52And then then people reach out to you like like if in their mind you
- 30:56were responsible now you know what I'm saying, And then you cross over into
- 31:00this little realm like what a lot of a lot of people don't like talking
- 31:03about this side of it. But like I've even talked to like certain artists
- 31:07that like have a conscious message to their music and then but they find it
- 31:11uncomfortable having people like always coming to them like they're psychiatrists or something. You
- 31:18know what I'm saying. It's like I'm not trying to take everybody's sad story
- 31:22every day, you know, one hundred times a day, Like it's a
- 31:26lot of that's a lot of bad you know, dark cloud that everybody just
- 31:30training, you know what I'm saying. So that's even a crazy thing,
- 31:33Like and that was even something that that kind of blew my mind when that
- 31:38person told me that, because I'm like, dang, I never even thought
- 31:41about that as far as like the type of music you make, you know
- 31:45what I'm saying, Like the same way that if you do some negative type
- 31:48music is going to bring you a negative energy if you do something you know
- 31:53positive where you're trying to help people, like the people that need help are
- 31:56gonna come, you know what I'm saying, Like you're not just gonna put
- 32:00out the music and everybody's just gonna say, hey, great job, I
- 32:02feel great now, you know what I mean. That's a that's a good
- 32:07comparison that it's it's how how people absorb things. It's it's completely on their
- 32:14own and you have you have no control of that. Yeah. I want
- 32:20to wrap this part up with this question. What are what are y'all?
- 32:23We'll start with you joke. What is yours feelings just any any way that
- 32:29you want to take it? What are your feelings about sharing your stories to
- 32:31a broad unknown audience, like personally honestly when the way I've thought about this
- 32:39before, and I've had Twitter since two thousand and nine, I've had Facebook
- 32:45since two thousand some probably same time, Instagram since it came out, and
- 32:52I have done that. I put everything out there, bruh, especially on
- 32:55Twitter. And there's people who I still know today who've known the way I
- 33:00used to talk and share my whole entire life. Brother, there's people who
- 33:06know my whole entire life that I've never met a person before because of my
- 33:08social media. So I've done it. I've done it for a long time.
- 33:14Man, at this point, like I've done it for so long and
- 33:17I'm still who I am and it's great. So what's it gonna change?
- 33:22As long as I don't disrespect anybody, I'll share everything I can possibly.
- 33:28What about you, Quincy, Like I said, you can take the topic
- 33:31wherever you want to go with it. However, it's your your feelings about
- 33:35sharing your stories to a broad unknown audience personal stories. So for me,
- 33:43I used to be like super open on like especially like social media and stuff
- 33:46like that. I used to be super super open with things because you know,
- 33:50I would just it was kind of like going like to what we were
- 33:52saying earlier, trying to get a reaction and stuff like that. And it
- 33:55wasn't like I was trying to get a reaction, but it was like getting
- 33:59that fee back, you know what I mean, a lifetime feedback. However,
- 34:04on the flip side of it, nowadays, I'm not so much like
- 34:07that. But as an artist, I feel like my the things that I've
- 34:12gone through and the stories that I have definitely can impact and help people.
- 34:16So like, when it comes to that aspect of it, I don't mind
- 34:21sharing my story, you know what I mean. Like, for example,
- 34:23I just did an interview last weekend. It's the Grind Radio and Indy Jam
- 34:28shout out to them, and you know before the interview, uh, the
- 34:32Lory shout out to the door. He's the host and whatnot. You still
- 34:37got to get him on this show man, Yeah, for sure. For
- 34:38sure. He mentioned it to me too, so we definitely want to do
- 34:43that. But yeah, you know, just before the interview, you know,
- 34:45he asked, He was like, hey man, you know I've been
- 34:47looking at, you know, some of the articles about you. I got
- 34:50some questions before the interview, you know, but before I start, you
- 34:52know, is there anything you know that's like off limits? And I was
- 34:57like, honestly, bro, nah, you know what I'm saying, because
- 35:00it is like, if anybody's listening to me in this realm, you know
- 35:01what I mean, I want them to know that story. I want them
- 35:05to be able to relate and understand why I am the artist that I am
- 35:07and why you know, talk about the things I talk about. It's all
- 35:10from a certain place. So from that standpoint, I don't mind an unknown
- 35:15audience knowing my story because the lyrics and the things that I say will resonate
- 35:20a lot better when you understand the person that's saying it. So that's kind
- 35:24of my thoughts on it, you know what I mean from as an artist,
- 35:28you know, if I'm doing an interview, if I'm just I'm putting
- 35:30out content for people to relate to me as an artists and stuff like that,
- 35:31that's one thing. But again it goes to the point of like not
- 35:37telling it in a way that I don't have solutions, you know what I
- 35:39mean. Like I dropped the clip today from the interview where I talked about,
- 35:44you know, being abused by my stepfather, but then I also mentioned
- 35:47like, hey, you know however, you know, I mean, as
- 35:51a recent you know, we had like some closure and was able to forgive
- 35:54because you know, he was able to basically explain like, yo, man,
- 35:58I wasn't in the right state of mind when that happened. You know,
- 36:00he had just lost his son, and as a kid, I didn't
- 36:02understand understand that aspect. I couldn't put myself in his shoes as a man
- 36:07that lost his son. You know what I mean and living with his stepson
- 36:10and how that can impact him. You know what I mean. I didn't.
- 36:14I couldn't do that as a kid, but as an adult, I
- 36:15can, you know what I'm saying. So being able to learn how to
- 36:17like be know what I'm saying, you know what I mean, like learn
- 36:21how to like forgive and kind of just take yourself out of your own head
- 36:25put in other people's shoes. Now that you've been yeah, exactly, Like
- 36:29don't get me wrong, it still was you know, trash, It still
- 36:31sucked, but now it's a little bit more understandable, you know. And
- 36:35so that's kind of like the clip that I put out today. From that
- 36:37standpoint, it was like, yeah, I'm telling my story, but I'm
- 36:39also kind of giving you a message with it, you know. Yeah.
- 36:43Yeah. The way I feel about it is like, just like anything else,
- 36:45there's a good there's a right way to do something, there's a wrong
- 36:49way to do something, and there's definitely a lot of positive ways and positive
- 36:54like basically like there's a lot of positive ways to do it, and there's
- 36:59a lot of impact for ways to do it. You know what I'm saying.
- 37:00It kind of goes it just kind of goes back to what started the
- 37:04whole topic. Anyway, It's like you can tell when people are just doing
- 37:07it to just do it or just to be trendy or be on top of
- 37:12whatever's going on, or to seem like they're a certain type of person,
- 37:15you know, because we've all seen it, you know, different people that
- 37:16are involved with different organizations like you know, you know, volunteering, you
- 37:22know, people like that that somebody will come out and say, hey,
- 37:25yo, stay away from this person because they're doing X, Y and Z.
- 37:29You know what I'm saying, Like, bro, it happens all the
- 37:31time. Like basically I'm about to say that to say you can do anything
- 37:37the right or the wrong way, you know what I'm saying, depending and
- 37:39you don't even matter who you are or what you're trying to portray, you
- 37:43know what I'm saying. Because at the end of the day, it goes
- 37:45back to what we were talking about, Like those people that set up the
- 37:49camera to catch them crying, you know, yeah, that's that's that's to
- 37:52catch them giving or to catch them caring and say, are you trying to
- 37:55convince me? Or you right? Right? And it's like, you know,
- 38:00just trying to be so formulaic and on top of the trends, like,
- 38:05it's just always going to be something that rubs me the wrong way.
- 38:07And if anything has that vibe to it, that's when I don't mess with
- 38:10it, you know. But yeah, man, we're gonna get into this
- 38:15new segment that we're gonna do it every week that I'm super excited about it.
- 38:19Man. So we're gonna go through the billboard top ten of a random
- 38:24year, random week, you know, random month, and I'm just gonna
- 38:29throw y'all some clues about the songs and y'all gonna try to guess what it
- 38:35is, and whoever got the most points at the end is the winner?
- 38:37All right? For then, I'm not reading ahead, Quincy, don't try
- 38:40to read ahead, don't. Yeah, I have no idea, y'all can't.
- 38:45Y'all can't pull nothing up. You know what I'm saying, Because I'm
- 38:47gonna I'm gonna tell you the week coming in here, you know what I'm
- 38:51saying. So, yeah, I haven't looked that in front of me.
- 38:53So I'm just gonna trust that y'all are not gonna be some dirt bags.
- 38:55All right, Let's get it all right, So to start the game,
- 39:02the way it's gonna be is, I'm gonna ask one of y'all, and
- 39:05if y'all get it wrong or you pass, the other person goes, and
- 39:08whoever has the most points at the end wins. Whoever is gonna go first.
- 39:12It's like a coin toss. Basically, you're just gonna guess a year
- 39:15and a month, and then whoever's closest to it is the one that's gonna
- 39:21go first. All right, So go ahead, whoever wants to throw it
- 39:25out first, guess a year and a month, May two thousand and three,
- 39:30Joe May two thousand and nine. Quincy gets it because we are in
- 39:40September of nineteen ninety six, the week of September fourteenth, so basically this
- 39:45week, but in nineteen ninety six. All right, So here we go,
- 39:51Quincy. You're gonna get the first question. Well, you're gonna get
- 39:54the first hand, and you're gonna have to try and tell me the name
- 39:58of the artist and the song. All right, mm so mhmm, what
- 40:07are we gonna do? Two points? If you get both, do you
- 40:10have to get both to get the point? Like, how do y'all want
- 40:13to do it. How many questions you're gonna ask? Three questions? Two
- 40:17out of three? Yeah, yeah, two out of three. But do
- 40:23you know? You know what I'm gonna do. So if you give me
- 40:27the artist and the song, you get two points. If you give me
- 40:30one one or the other, you get one point. Okay, all right,
- 40:34and then if y'all tied at the end, I have like, yeah,
- 40:37bonus type thing that we can do. All right, let's get it,
- 40:40all right, so let's go. You're going first, Quinn, see
- 40:42you're ready? All right? This one hit Wonder captured the world with their
- 40:49Latin dance moves. To give them this unexpected hit, all right? Not
- 40:54come on one hit Wonder Latin? Come on, man, you get me
- 41:00Smallscara. Do you have the artist? I don't know the artist. I
- 41:09don't know. You know the artist? I do. I was gonna say
- 41:19those globals, So it's yeah, specifically the Bay Side Boys mix, which
- 41:28is time the dance version. So yeah, TI won one? Yea?
- 41:35Why y'all tired? Wait? Wait, did you say lost? You didn't
- 41:37say loss, but I knew it was I knew it was Macarina though you
- 41:42should no no, no, no him now now you're gonna go. I'm
- 41:45gonna ask you the question, okay, okay, okay, okay, got
- 41:49you? Got you? Okay? No, I knew it was Macarina a
- 41:51second you said it. I didn't know the artist he got, so he
- 41:52got one. Oh. And then if you can't get it, he can
- 41:57go. You know what I'm saying, Like, if he didn't get to
- 41:58know, you could have got you tracking? All right? Bet so right
- 42:00now it's one oh. Let me put the score here, all right,
- 42:06you're ready? M hmm. This dance hit came from a down South disc
- 42:13jockey Community's it? Okay? Ninety six? Ninety six? It's definitely some
- 42:25Miami booty shaking shit. I know, I'm there. I want to go,
- 42:35Luke, it's not it's not Daisy Dukes? Is it is that your
- 42:46Is that your guests? Yeah, that's my final answer. No, you're
- 42:50incorrect, sir? Who is it? Dance hit? Christ's answer, got
- 42:57your dance hit? Dance hit and came from a disc jockey community, and
- 43:04it's a song this jockey community any six? Oh? I think I know?
- 43:13Does they come back to me? If he doesn't get it, we
- 43:15can do it. We could do it, Okay, I'll give you a
- 43:19death criss cross jump jump. No, sir, Joe, come on ride
- 43:25to train? You got the artist? Oh yes, ghost down. No,
- 43:37I'm not gonna say hold on, hold on, I retract that.
- 43:39Quas City DJs, Yes, sir, let's go. City DJ's come on
- 43:46Ride the Train. Hey, And actually I should have threw this out there
- 43:50for the Macarena. It was the number one song that week. That week,
- 43:54and quast City DJ's Come On Ride the Train was a number six song.
- 43:58It went down from the weekend or so it was on its way down.
- 44:02So that's two for me. Two the one. All right, Quincy,
- 44:07you get the last question here? All right, all right, this
- 44:13sultry, this sultry singer contorts his way onto the charts. What, oh
- 44:22my god? So what pay attention to the words? Brother bear, everything's
- 44:34in the words and these questions. This sultry singer contorts. Let's go.
- 44:43You might have me on this one, Joe, I don't know. That's
- 44:47a hard one. I don't know. You don't want to you don't want
- 44:50to throw out an artist or a song. Sultry singer ninety six. I
- 45:00don't know, Joe, shit, I don't know. No, Joe.
- 45:06I'm not saying I'm right, but I got one named the artist or the
- 45:08artist or whatever you got. If you got both, you get two points.
- 45:14Does he sing pony is his name? Genuine? No, sir,
- 45:21This one was number three. It stayed in the number three position, but
- 45:28it was kind of on the way down to Keith sweat twisted. Damn,
- 45:35I was singer twisted. I was thinking of genuine like dancing contorting himselfs alright,
- 45:45I fog with the dance, Na. But now now you're gonna have
- 45:51the you know what I'm saying the gist of the game. I know that
- 45:54the words have to do with the names of the songs, the artists and
- 45:59everything. So the things have to do with the things. The things have
- 46:01to do with things. And let me just run off this top ten this
- 46:06week, just so y'all can hear the songs that were so wait who one
- 46:08though? You two to one one the first official Billboard Top ten game on
- 46:19the ground. This show. Yeah, I'd like to thank everybody. It
- 46:23show me music. We we gotta we gotta do it with with some guests
- 46:27too. I gotta get on and get everything. They no ship, let's
- 46:31see yep, so I'm gonna run down the list right now again. Billboard
- 46:37Top ten the week of September fourteenth, nineteen ninety six. I'm gonna go
- 46:42from ten to one. Actually, I'm gonna go from one to ten since
- 46:45we already know one. So the Macarena was number one, Los Delrio.
- 46:51Number two was I Love You Always Forever Donna Lewis. Number three twist did
- 47:00Oh, that's what that song is, Okay, I was wondering what that's
- 47:02almost. Number four was Lounging La Cool j Oh. That was a track.
- 47:10Number five was a banger Eric Clapton changed the World, and number six
- 47:20Quash City DJ's come On, Ride It the Train. Number seven a deep
- 47:25cut. It's all coming back to me now, Celine Dion. Number eight,
- 47:31You're making me high Slash Let It Flow Tony Braxton, Wow, yo,
- 47:38music, ain't like that. Number nine, I can't sleep baby if
- 47:42I are Kelly, and number ten a song that Kevin performed on the office
- 47:49and always makes me laugh when I hear it. Now Atlantis Morrisset you Learn,
- 47:53Slash You Water Know You You, I don't know. It's not fair,
- 48:04yo. Those are all classics and a little easter egg, a song
- 48:08that was on its way up the charts only Youth one twelve feature. It
- 48:14was number fourteen that I told you that we won't stop. Wow, bro,
- 48:17yo, that is when I was like deep, deep deep into like
- 48:22loving music where we used to make burnt CDs of all that shit. Like
- 48:27all of those tracks. I know every the worst, every single one of
- 48:30those songs, despite the genres. That's how it ain't like that no more.
- 48:35I barely know what's on Billboard to day. That's crazy. It goes
- 48:37back to what we were talking about I think last week, like the production
- 48:42value was just so different in those records, and if it was a different
- 48:45genre, they were putting so much musical talent slash effort into the joint that
- 48:51it was just undeniable, you know, m brouh. That's that's that's yo.
- 48:57You just eye open her for me. How great music was? I
- 49:00need to tap back into the nineties and month you made me. You made
- 49:04me actually look at the current top ten and it's kind of crazy. Stop
- 49:08cheating, bro Oh, now I'm gonna look. Now, I'm gonna look.
- 49:12Yeah, No, I'm just knowing it just to see because that was
- 49:15a great list of music to comparis to now that y'all know, if y'all
- 49:17want to just randomly pull up different top tens and just get familiar every once
- 49:22in a while, So already you know what? Okay, So how much
- 49:24respect do you have now? Back then, they all had albums with those
- 49:28singles, right for the majority part. Yeah, Gunna drops the album,
- 49:34He's Billboard all these tracks, Billboard Top ten, Doug drops an album,
- 49:37Drake drops an album, Cold drops now like they take the automatic just the
- 49:43streams the same measurement, they don't. They don't usually get Billboard Top ten.
- 49:50They'll usually get like on a certain certain streaming service, like the top
- 49:53tracks. But most of the time when that come out, no, no,
- 49:57most of the time when the charts come out, the charts don't reflect
- 50:00so many songs from an album. They'll get like two maybe three, you
- 50:05know, three's crazy sometimes, you know, like Drake, I think one
- 50:08time he had like three or four, you know what I'm saying. But
- 50:10they at like ten out of eleven. So I'm definitely dripping yo. But
- 50:16real quick, bro, y'all want to hear something crazy, So I'm looking
- 50:21at top albums or just you know, the list of albums right now,
- 50:24I'm gonna just scroll from twenty one up up to you know one, Taylor
- 50:30Swift Red weeks on Chart ninety five at twenty one, Taylor Swift Reputation weeks
- 50:37on Chart two hundred and fifty nine at seventeen, Taylor Swift nineteen eighty nine,
- 50:43four hundred and fifty six weeks on chart at fourteen, Taylor Swift Speak
- 50:47now weeks on Chart nine and currently at eleven. Taylor Swift Midnights weeks on
- 50:54Chart forty six and currently at five. Brouh. Speaking of Taylor Swift,
- 51:00I just looked it up. Taylor Swift was the first artist to have the
- 51:04whole top ten be like from her album and that was in October of twenty
- 51:07twenty two. You know who she did a song with who Stop playing with
- 51:13him? Ragot. Out of all the female rappers, she did a song
- 51:16with Ice Spice. That's That's what was so crazy about the artist that Yeah,
- 51:22like she brought her out on tour and to wrap that verse on like
- 51:27big, that's big. Yeah, that's big. That's what I'm saying.
- 51:31Bro An artists at that level is different. Those are different level artists for
- 51:37her to bring. She didn't do that with Nikki, she didn't do that
- 51:39with Cardis, she didn't do that with Meg, she didn't do that with
- 51:43Doja. But Ice Spice has that big advantage that she's clean. Also,
- 51:49she don't have like a stripper background. She don't have like a like an
- 51:53industry like that. You know what I'm saying. She's not like really she's
- 52:00like one of these like like you know what I'm saying, Like she's one
- 52:02of these new type of rappers that it's like a different thing. You're like
- 52:05a whole brand, you know what I'm saying. She's cut from a different
- 52:07club like and it's it's partly because of her meteoric rise, you know what
- 52:14I'm saying. That she's like kind of her own thing. She don't really
- 52:17have anything like controversial attached to her. That sounds like the episode we did
- 52:22almost a year ago where I said that and I was coming to Fruition and
- 52:27Quincy said, we go see Joe, we go see it looks up.
- 52:31Your your prediction is holding up. It's holding up, I will say,
- 52:36though the music's not. But I'm not saying but they are pushing her very
- 52:42well. I will give them that I will give them that the right choices.
- 52:45She still got time to put out good music. She's still gone.
- 52:47Yeah, she's still like what's it called marketing the kids, Brokid. Not
- 52:52only that it was crazy, she's still using the same people who brought her
- 52:54in that stopped playing with him. Riot Dude, he's been produce the music
- 53:00before she even anybody even knew she was. And she's still holding him down
- 53:05and she's not selling now, and she's she's still doing it on her level
- 53:07until she has to take it up a notch and she does it on the
- 53:10other level. Of course. Yeah. Facts, it's it's a it's a
- 53:14magic and you can't, like, you can't just make it happen with somebody
- 53:16else, you know what I'm saying. Mm, But yeah, man,
- 53:22that's a good session. I like that. I want to do that more.
- 53:25Yeah, facts, definitely. The Billboard thing was real dope, and
- 53:29I was just looking up different ones. I'm like, Dann, this is
- 53:30gonna be fun because you know, it just it catches you off guard even
- 53:35sometimes and you forget, like what songs were out together, you know what
- 53:37I'm saying. Yeah, that that that list is crazy to me now,
- 53:42y'all know, y'all got about four years on me, so next one gotta
- 53:45be ninety nine and above. Y'all gotta stop playing with me. It's even
- 53:51easier for me. I don't gotta dig back my memory of that point.
- 53:54Macarena came from the furthest part of my pits of my soul. But yeah,
- 54:00man, like I said, this episode is dropping like you could hear
- 54:05this media. It's like less than an hour after we recorded this. So
- 54:08that's gonna be the new formula. That's why we're gonna have like a little
- 54:13bit more of like current events on the show. You know what I'm saying,
- 54:15because we're gonna drop it right away, so you're gonna get their quick
- 54:19thoughts. We're gonna listen to this NAS album and talk about it next week
- 54:22for sure. And hey man, y'all have been rocking with us, stay
- 54:27rocking with us. If you ain't rocking with us, yeah, you botta
- 54:30be your ear hear me, do not do not a
