Today, Tuesday September 1 - Jehovah-Rohi, The LORD is my Shepherd! As a young pastor over 45 years ago, one of my greatest concerns was knowing I would be expected to be with a family while their loved one was dying. As a child and teenager I had only been to two funerals that I could remember, my grandfather's in Maybank, Texas and an uncle in the same area. I couldn't imagine what I would say or do. Seminary and Bible College never covered this area of ministry. And my first experience with a lady passing in our church was a very difficult one. The greatest fear and enemy we face is death!…
