- 2:29Speaker 2: I love it.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Oh, I love this energy. Okay, yes, y'all we are back.
- 2:32Speaker 3: We are here to talk. The season finale of House
- 2:36Speaker 3: of Dragons, episode eight titled The Treasons at Tumbleton and listen, uh.
- 2:45Speaker 3: The dance is being danced, the fire is being flamed,
- 2:49Speaker 3: And to me, this was one of the most funniest
- 2:51Speaker 3: episodes I have ever watched of House of Dragons. And
- 2:54Speaker 3: I'll explain later, but it was a lot going on.
- 2:58Speaker 3: I had a great time. Ten out of ten highly
- 3:00Speaker 3: recommend it. What about you guys, how y'all felt?
- 3:03Speaker 7: I was talking about it before the show, and I
- 3:05Speaker 7: think I would say I often compare things to Power,
- 3:09Speaker 7: the series Power, because it's one of my favorite series.
- 3:12Speaker 7: I've watched pretty much every episode of every spin off
- 3:15Speaker 7: besides the Tommy one because I found.
- 3:17Speaker 5: That just to be absolutely terrible.
- 3:19Speaker 7: And watching this episode of House the Dragon, it makes
- 3:22Speaker 7: me realize that I I think I underrate the writing
- 3:25Speaker 7: on Power and I overrate the writing on House of
- 3:29Speaker 7: Dragon because they're much more similar in I wouldn't say tone,
- 3:34Speaker 7: but in style, in use of drama, in use of
- 3:38Speaker 7: soap opera tactics, and use of ridiculousness to make an
- 3:43Speaker 7: entertaining episode. You know, It's like it doesn't have to
- 3:45Speaker 7: be intelligent or smart to be entertaining. And this episode
- 3:51Speaker 7: prove that because characters, did, you know, just ignorant things
- 3:54Speaker 7: over and over again, wild ignorant, super entertaining.
- 3:58Speaker 5: Yes, i'd say nine to ten.
- 3:59Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, I keep getting druff this, you know that
- 4:02Speaker 7: makes it twenty at ten.
- 4:04Speaker 5: Like sorry, yo, fuck them kids, straight up. That was incredible.
- 4:11Speaker 7: I couldn't believe they went through with it, you know,
- 4:13Speaker 7: like when he told them, I was.
- 4:15Speaker 5: Like, he's gonna leave him alone.
- 4:16Speaker 3: Now, this wouldn't be Game of Thrones if they didn't
- 4:20Speaker 3: cross the line. You know, there's a couple of people
- 4:22Speaker 3: who who thought the last episode was an habitual line
- 4:25Speaker 3: stepper with us, you know, with Amen and his mother.
- 4:29Speaker 1: But I'm just like, well, where have you been the last.
- 4:31Speaker 5: Yes, ro defended by sex and not violence. You know
- 4:37Speaker 5: that's so wild long ago.
- 4:39Speaker 1: But Rob, what did you think of this episode? A man?
- 4:42Speaker 4: I loved it.
- 4:43Speaker 8: It felt to me like watching the NBA Finals and
- 4:48Speaker 8: like teen Green, felt like like the Knicks having a
- 4:51Speaker 8: good fourth quarter, you know, because it was looking Team
- 4:55Speaker 8: Black was up for a minute and then just I
- 4:58Speaker 8: feel like the coaching let them down.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Some of these decisions.
- 5:04Speaker 8: Some of these people they they bet on as they
- 5:06Speaker 8: role players, you know, the way they was benching certain
- 5:09Speaker 8: people at the crucial moments. I was just like, oh,
- 5:12Speaker 8: this is a I've seen this before. I feel like
- 5:15Speaker 8: I've seen Jalen Brunson take a team down a few
- 5:18Speaker 8: times like this, and that's exactly how this felt.
- 5:20Speaker 4: I felt like Steven A.
- 5:21Speaker 8: Smith watching this at home just and not just just
- 5:26Speaker 8: analyzing all these bad decisions.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Yeah, you can't blame the rest this time, right, this
- 5:31Speaker 3: was all on the team Portia.
- 5:33Speaker 1: What about you? How you felt?
- 5:37Speaker 2: Because I've been seeing people like speculate online about how
- 5:42Speaker 2: this is a series that basically George R. R. Martin
- 5:48Speaker 2: has like stepped away from because it's become fan fiction
- 5:52Speaker 2: of what was written, and I'm like, that's true to
- 5:55Speaker 2: any adaptation, Like you're never gonna get a true to
- 5:59Speaker 2: form out of anything. They're gonna spin and do fanfic
- 6:02Speaker 2: of a thing. And that's you knew that. I knew
- 6:04Speaker 2: that was gonna be true as soon as they like
- 6:06Speaker 2: from page there's only a few major key things that
- 6:09Speaker 2: happen and then that to flush it out. They've been
- 6:13Speaker 2: doing all these stories in between the human drama between
- 6:16Speaker 2: it all, right, the drag and drama between it all.
- 6:19Speaker 2: So for me, this episode was just kind of like okay,
- 6:22Speaker 2: like is it fanfic?
- 6:25Speaker 9: Yeah? And I guess I'm just buckled into the fanfic.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Like whoever directing this and who's ever writing it they
- 6:30Speaker 2: want us to believe this is why everything that happens
- 6:33Speaker 2: happened right here, I am.
- 6:35Speaker 9: I'm just going along with the story.
- 6:37Speaker 1: You sound you sound like very dejected.
- 6:39Speaker 3: I mean, as a book reader and as a master,
- 6:42Speaker 3: did this feel like treason to you? Because I mean
- 6:45Speaker 3: that's the type of treasons. It's multiple, it's multiple multiple.
- 6:50Speaker 3: I mean they say at Tumbleton, but a'llcross the board
- 6:52Speaker 3: like this for those who know the backhand story, the
- 6:55Speaker 3: backstory rather like, is this like, what the fuck is
- 6:58Speaker 3: happening right now? Is this a problem? This episode of problems,
- 7:01Speaker 3: this series of problem. I just feel like this season
- 7:03Speaker 3: in particular has been moments of like you might read
- 7:08Speaker 3: something happening like and you feel like generally like if
- 7:11Speaker 3: you know about a certain candidate or politician or whatever
- 7:14Speaker 3: or an actor, yeah, and you know how you think
- 7:17Speaker 3: they tend to move.
- 7:17Speaker 9: Because you've watched them enough you understand how you think
- 7:20Speaker 9: they move.
- 7:21Speaker 2: And then you get someone tells you a backstory and
- 7:24Speaker 2: you're like, or there's like a blind item or whatever,
- 7:27Speaker 2: and you're like, I guess it could apply to this person.
- 7:30Speaker 2: I just didn't think that it did. But Okay, that's
- 7:33Speaker 2: what this season has been. It's been like blind item
- 7:35Speaker 2: after blind item of different characters, different things that happened,
- 7:38Speaker 2: and I'm just like, I.
- 7:40Speaker 9: Could I mean, I guess it could have happened this way?
- 7:42Speaker 1: Did you know where it eats babies? And it's just like, well,
- 7:45Speaker 1: where'd you guys come up with this? I get you,
- 7:47Speaker 1: I get you, I get you.
- 7:48Speaker 3: And and you know what I it was a lot
- 7:51Speaker 3: of left field stuff happening.
- 7:54Speaker 1: I don't should we even start at the very beginning
- 7:56Speaker 1: of the way.
- 7:57Speaker 5: Let me go ahead. I've got a list, right, let's
- 8:01Speaker 5: go ahead. You goes through the episode.
- 8:04Speaker 7: But this is just this is this is my list
- 8:07Speaker 7: of people doing silly things this episode. And y'all can
- 8:10Speaker 7: add you know, or subtracted to this. Sure, Okay, Ranera
- 8:14Speaker 7: trying to get herself anointed after Agron comes back, after
- 8:21Speaker 7: the dude told you already, So that ain't happening. Even
- 8:24Speaker 7: when Agon was dead, that ain't happening. Now he comes back.
- 8:27Speaker 7: Let me roll down here with the unit and add
- 8:30Speaker 7: like something's changed.
- 8:31Speaker 5: Silly.
- 8:32Speaker 3: My problem I'm gonna add to that. Yeah, to that
- 8:35Speaker 3: specific point. Here's my problem. This goes back to what
- 8:37Speaker 3: I've been saying. A lot of people don't recognize that
- 8:39Speaker 3: I've been extremely critical over near this whole season, and
- 8:43Speaker 3: I've been really vocal about it. Where is the plan?
- 8:46Speaker 3: There is no thought or plan put into the actions.
- 8:51Speaker 3: It's always reaction first and then thinking about the poor
- 8:56Speaker 3: consequences and choices later. If someone told you Jesus self
- 9:01Speaker 3: resurrected and now has a dragon that also self resurrected,
- 9:06Speaker 3: and they got a bone to pick with you specifically, dude,
- 9:11Speaker 3: what would make you think now is the time to
- 9:13Speaker 3: your point?
- 9:13Speaker 1: Then now is the time to now.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Force my way through people who already don't fuck with
- 9:18Speaker 3: me and tell them you're going to to your point
- 9:21Speaker 3: anoint me. I don't understand the thought process. I don't
- 9:25Speaker 3: understand the logic behind that. It doesn't speak to a
- 9:28Speaker 3: tactical mind. It speaks to I'm going to It's childlike,
- 9:33Speaker 3: and we talked about this last episode. It's a very
- 9:35Speaker 3: childlike reactive response, like oh, I'm not getting the way
- 9:39Speaker 3: I want.
- 9:39Speaker 1: You still have the episode open.
- 9:41Speaker 3: She came in screaming, crying, throwing up to fucking Damon.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Oh my god, my queenship is in peril. Oh my god,
- 9:51Speaker 3: he's back from the dead.
- 9:53Speaker 1: What am I supposed to do?
- 9:55Speaker 3: And of course Damon's like, well, you need to stop
- 9:58Speaker 3: bitching up. You got a dre go, let's go right,
- 10:01Speaker 3: Like he's just trying to talk to her logic. But
- 10:04Speaker 3: this girl is just illogical and it keeps evolving over
- 10:07Speaker 3: and over again. So just to your point that I
- 10:10Speaker 3: don't understand the thought process that made her do that,
- 10:14Speaker 3: I just don't.
- 10:15Speaker 8: Feel like I feel like she was advertised as like
- 10:20Speaker 8: the next one of them ones, but it's clearly becoming
- 10:24Speaker 8: like she's a Caitlyn Clark of West Ross. It's a
- 10:27Speaker 8: lot of flopping, a lot of crying to the rests,
- 10:31Speaker 8: you know, like, just get out there and put up buckets.
- 10:34Speaker 8: Nobody can deny buckets. You got six dragons, start burning
- 10:38Speaker 8: shit down. I'm with her killing the High sept. And
- 10:41Speaker 8: I just think it should happen the first Yeah, like
- 10:45Speaker 8: when he said no the first time. It should be like, oh,
- 10:47Speaker 8: we ought to sell for you till you change your mind.
- 10:49Speaker 1: I don't know you thought this was a conversation. That's
- 10:53Speaker 1: that's not what this is at.
- 10:54Speaker 2: All all, people, he should not be over here spreading
- 10:58Speaker 2: gospel near it is in question.
- 11:01Speaker 9: Not at all, like to put him. You should have
- 11:03Speaker 9: been in the cell.
- 11:03Speaker 4: But now she looks weak.
- 11:05Speaker 8: Now she changed her mind, and that's now she looks
- 11:09Speaker 8: desperate and pressed, And she is desperate and pressed. But
- 11:11Speaker 8: you don't need to look it, you know what I mean,
- 11:13Speaker 8: if you would have, it could have been a power move.
- 11:15Speaker 8: Like I know, people don't necessarily like think Damon's strategy
- 11:18Speaker 8: is the best. But some of the stuff Damon says
- 11:21Speaker 8: has always been true. He's just a very pragmatic dude.
- 11:24Speaker 8: Like listen, if you got dragons and you taking the throne,
- 11:27Speaker 8: you just take it like they're not gonna like it,
- 11:29Speaker 8: and you just got to accept that they're not.
- 11:31Speaker 4: Gonna like you a woman.
- 11:32Speaker 8: They not gonna ever fuck with you, So just take
- 11:34Speaker 8: the ship and they'll fuck with you because they don't
- 11:36Speaker 8: have a choice.
- 11:37Speaker 4: You got the dragons in the throne.
- 11:39Speaker 8: But she's tried to be like half of Sarah's half Damon,
- 11:42Speaker 8: and look where it's got us.
- 11:44Speaker 2: I just feel like this whole storytelling and it goes
- 11:47Speaker 2: back to my like I'm just gonna be in my
- 11:50Speaker 2: crossed arms teenager, like I can't.
- 11:52Speaker 9: I don't look at she's.
- 11:56Speaker 1: I'm so I don't.
- 11:57Speaker 9: I don't agree with the direction that the writers have taken.
- 12:00Speaker 2: And there's the whole Verniera thing, like she had a
- 12:03Speaker 2: lot of potential and as a character like in the books,
- 12:07Speaker 2: like there's so many different ways.
- 12:08Speaker 9: To show why her cause does not work.
- 12:13Speaker 2: And I thought they might go into that with her
- 12:14Speaker 2: small counsel not really being in there for her and
- 12:16Speaker 2: stuff like that, like that the would really like show
- 12:19Speaker 2: how it is that the cars were stacked against her,
- 12:21Speaker 2: but how she was like given certain resources to able
- 12:25Speaker 2: to like fenangle around it.
- 12:26Speaker 9: And then we just get this like we over and
- 12:28Speaker 9: over again.
- 12:29Speaker 2: And what pisses me off, I think the most is
- 12:32Speaker 2: that we can, like in the after show, the different
- 12:35Speaker 2: directors or whatever have said stuff of like she's trying
- 12:38Speaker 2: to combat the femininity and this is her taken on
- 12:41Speaker 2: like masculinity or whatever, and I'm just like, you don't have,
- 12:46Speaker 2: Like that's never got to be the reason why she
- 12:50Speaker 2: like evolves and has all these issues, like she could
- 12:53Speaker 2: have played cards like the I just and so the direction,
- 12:58Speaker 2: the direction of it all thisisses me off. The writing
- 13:00Speaker 2: of it officsits me off because like I for me,
- 13:03Speaker 2: has been with saying yeah, I guess you can say
- 13:06Speaker 2: it's entertaining, but I would have felt more and brought
- 13:09Speaker 2: into the world if you actually gave me somebody to
- 13:12Speaker 2: root for.
- 13:12Speaker 9: I don't have anybody that I'm rooting for.
- 13:14Speaker 1: I don't.
- 13:14Speaker 2: It's like whenever I watched like Real Housewives of Atlanta,
- 13:18Speaker 2: I've dropped off of Real house of Atlanta like a
- 13:20Speaker 2: couple of different times. And so I finally dropped off
- 13:22Speaker 2: after like the season where Homegirl, who was like the
- 13:25Speaker 2: track and Field Girl.
- 13:26Speaker 9: Whatever, Homegirls.
- 13:28Speaker 2: I know you're talking about I just after that season,
- 13:29Speaker 2: I'll say I can't come back, like I'm done, And
- 13:32Speaker 2: I feel that I'm not gonna be done with Game
- 13:34Speaker 2: with Thrones because it's my stuff. But at the same time,
- 13:36Speaker 2: it's like nothing that's happening in the storyline is what's
- 13:40Speaker 2: drawing me in. It's the idea of, like, I want
- 13:43Speaker 2: to see the things that I know play out when
- 13:44Speaker 2: this world play out, there's nothing else. There's something character story,
- 13:48Speaker 2: there's someone I actually care for like I used to.
- 13:51Speaker 2: I used to actually care that n yours cause had
- 13:53Speaker 2: some legs behind it. Now I don't care. Bayla might
- 13:56Speaker 2: have been interesting to me, or Raina might have been
- 13:58Speaker 2: interesting to me, but then they look what they did
- 13:59Speaker 2: to Raa and look at how they're putting.
- 14:01Speaker 1: How they're doing Beila. They sidelined her.
- 14:03Speaker 2: So I'm like, I just keep having moments where I'm
- 14:05Speaker 2: just like I want to be locked in, but you
- 14:07Speaker 2: keep pushing me out.
- 14:08Speaker 9: So what do I do?
- 14:09Speaker 3: Yeah, I really need Ranier to sit in her parents
- 14:13Speaker 3: too late, Like it's way too late.
- 14:16Speaker 1: It's too late to apologize.
- 14:17Speaker 3: And it's like everything she does comes off like after
- 14:21Speaker 3: the fact, right, it comes off like well you should
- 14:23Speaker 3: have been did that And we've been talking about this forever.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Ben this list that you got, I want you to
- 14:28Speaker 1: continue down the list.
- 14:28Speaker 5: Because they keeps going.
- 14:29Speaker 1: I know there's one that's before it.
- 14:31Speaker 3: Actually, the very the very first misstep was was you know,
- 14:34Speaker 3: years ago, but the very first miss step this episode
- 14:37Speaker 3: was the dismissal of Missiria.
- 14:39Speaker 7: I was about to say that, so thank you, go ahead.
- 14:42Speaker 7: I guess you know, the couch failed her. I don't
- 14:45Speaker 7: get it, like what happened, Yeah, what happened though, Like.
- 14:49Speaker 1: I don't understand the timing.
- 14:51Speaker 7: I don't understand anything of that move at all, Like
- 14:54Speaker 7: you let her coming through, you let her go down
- 14:57Speaker 7: on you, you let her you know, give you the
- 14:59Speaker 7: honey pop, give you the honey speech.
- 15:02Speaker 5: And then, like I said, I guess it wasn't good enough.
- 15:05Speaker 7: I don't I don't get it, like what she goes
- 15:09Speaker 7: crying to Damon, so like you gotta go.
- 15:11Speaker 1: I think perhaps.
- 15:15Speaker 3: We're trying to fill in the gaps, right, and we
- 15:16Speaker 3: always know Damon never wanted Messori around. Maybe he gave
- 15:20Speaker 3: her a comment, you know, in the in the between times, saying, hey,
- 15:23Speaker 3: by the way, while you're listening to me, get rid
- 15:25Speaker 3: of this whole too. Okay, fine, but I could have
- 15:29Speaker 3: shown that. They could have shown it, right, they could
- 15:31Speaker 3: have shown that. And two, it just didn't make sense
- 15:33Speaker 3: in the moment, even if that was what was to
- 15:36Speaker 3: be done. And in Damon's or whoever's head, why then
- 15:40Speaker 3: and there, at that moment, while you found out that
- 15:44Speaker 3: homeboy is alive, his his half dead dragons alive, there's
- 15:48Speaker 3: so many more things you want to go kill the set,
- 15:50Speaker 3: okay whatever, there's so many more things that takes precedents
- 15:53Speaker 3: over dismissing Missia dismissed at the end of the day.
- 15:56Speaker 3: This is what I talk about again about lack of
- 15:58Speaker 3: of of Maybe the one of the core texas is,
- 16:01Speaker 3: you know, having a problem today. This is your master
- 16:04Speaker 3: whisperers in a wartime setting, in a battle setting, in
- 16:09Speaker 3: any setting, you don't want enemies internally, right, and it
- 16:15Speaker 3: doesn't matter what you think she may or may not.
- 16:17Speaker 3: You know, like it's old big go tell me your way.
- 16:20Speaker 3: You got enough gold and surface all that.
- 16:23Speaker 5: Where'd you get.
- 16:25Speaker 2: That?
- 16:26Speaker 3: She was just in your bed last night? You was
- 16:29Speaker 3: just so basically you treated her like you treated her
- 16:32Speaker 3: with like a one night stand and try to get
- 16:34Speaker 3: her out of knowing how she feels about you.
- 16:36Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. This ship is not making sense
- 16:39Speaker 1: to me.
- 16:40Speaker 8: I felt like it felt like one she was leaning
- 16:44Speaker 8: in the damon because she knows is dragon time, Like
- 16:49Speaker 8: the time for this Alec feed the poor shit is over.
- 16:52Speaker 8: We not doing none of that democratic socialism. That's that's
- 16:56Speaker 8: a wrap. You gotta go. My issue isn't even necessary
- 17:00Speaker 8: getting rid of Massaria, it's how you do it. And
- 17:04Speaker 8: and like cause I feel like you want to throw
- 17:06Speaker 8: in the seller killer, like she knows all the secrets
- 17:09Speaker 8: she been slinging you on the side.
- 17:11Speaker 4: She knows.
- 17:11Speaker 8: She like she know too much for you to just
- 17:14Speaker 8: be like here's some money and go somewhere in exile.
- 17:18Speaker 8: And then the timing, I just don't know why today,
- 17:21Speaker 8: like you got a lot going on today.
- 17:24Speaker 1: You we can't move this meeting to Friday.
- 17:27Speaker 8: Or whatever like this, this gotta happened to today, she
- 17:30Speaker 8: gotta get demoted. It just that that felt so sloppy
- 17:34Speaker 8: and uh it.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Does you know?
- 17:36Speaker 8: And I guess they were. They did paint her as
- 17:39Speaker 8: extremely like emotional and volatile and like reactive. And I
- 17:43Speaker 8: think they're trying to do what a lot of people
- 17:46Speaker 8: rejected from the Khalisi storyline, which is just like descent
- 17:50Speaker 8: into some.
- 17:51Speaker 4: Sort of targarian madness.
- 17:53Speaker 8: But they're slowing it down so that so that it's
- 17:56Speaker 8: so like, uh, you don't have the violence, like oh
- 18:00Speaker 8: my gosh, she went crazy out of nowhere, but like
- 18:04Speaker 8: her being a little crazy every week, to me is
- 18:07Speaker 8: actually more frustrating than a one than just being on
- 18:10Speaker 8: the dragon, like you know what, fuck it, I'm gonna burn.
- 18:12Speaker 3: Them that crazy feeding her the targary manners. And to
- 18:17Speaker 3: Rite's point, let me explain this. When she sat outside
- 18:20Speaker 3: the fucking church and told the fucking Conqueror's dream story, one, bitch,
- 18:24Speaker 3: why are you telling these niggas your family business?
- 18:27Speaker 1: Number one?
- 18:27Speaker 3: Number two? You're everyone half of them was looking at
- 18:30Speaker 3: her like, bitch, what the fuck are you talking about?
- 18:32Speaker 3: Where's my crazy?
- 18:34Speaker 1: Where from?
- 18:36Speaker 4: They don't even speak Valarian.
- 18:38Speaker 1: They just selling it crazy.
- 18:42Speaker 7: He just started speaking in different you're speaking Portuguese and
- 18:46Speaker 7: they looking at you like bitch shaw.
- 18:48Speaker 8: When Lord d y'all looked over and made eye contact
- 18:51Speaker 8: with the other like helpers of like hey, y'all see
- 18:53Speaker 8: this ship, and they was like, bro, what's she talking about?
- 18:57Speaker 3: Even if Simon was looking at her like man, not today,
- 19:01Speaker 3: and Rod, you're absolutely right, they're kind of spoon feeding
- 19:04Speaker 3: the madness. And even her with her goth makeup and
- 19:07Speaker 3: everything that she was doing like she was, she looked
- 19:10Speaker 3: like she was she was losing it in that moment.
- 19:12Speaker 3: I am the one who prophesized after you fucking Shitska, Bob,
- 19:17Speaker 3: the fucking high sept So our thing is and everyone
- 19:20Speaker 3: knows what's going on and again, and this comes down
- 19:22Speaker 3: to the common folk getting the brink of it right.
- 19:26Speaker 3: No one wins for the family fuse, especially the fucking
- 19:29Speaker 3: common folk. Do you see them all standing there like
- 19:31Speaker 3: which way are we going to die today? I just
- 19:33Speaker 3: feel like every time they every episode is just like
- 19:36Speaker 3: which way we're gonna get fucked today? Every time I
- 19:39Speaker 3: feel like the thing going on with Missoria is that one.
- 19:43Speaker 3: I want to say that the makeup direction with Raniera
- 19:48Speaker 3: was very spot on. I enjoyed the fact that they
- 19:50Speaker 3: made her like have dragon split eyes with the makeup.
- 19:52Speaker 2: I was like, okay, that that was a good pool.
- 19:54Speaker 2: That was smart. Might have been the smartest thing they
- 19:57Speaker 2: did with Raniera's ark this episo. That was possibly because
- 20:06Speaker 2: she's fit the role that she's supposed to look like cool.
- 20:10Speaker 2: I think with the Massaria going out, I feel like
- 20:13Speaker 2: that might have been again, not because I believe this,
- 20:16Speaker 2: because this is the direction that I think the writers
- 20:18Speaker 2: we're trying to go in, especially because this is what
- 20:20Speaker 2: they mentioned in the after show, is that they're trying
- 20:23Speaker 2: to say that Massaria is Raniera's moral compass and because
- 20:28Speaker 2: Massaria kept.
- 20:29Speaker 9: Pushing her to be more like Visira's what she's.
- 20:32Speaker 2: What Rainiera possibly could have been doing by getting rid
- 20:35Speaker 2: of Massaria specifically in this episode, was she knew she
- 20:37Speaker 2: was going to go to that step and kill somebody.
- 20:39Speaker 9: She might have had to kill.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Multiple people, So she did not want to come back
- 20:43Speaker 2: home to Massaria shaking her head at her like, girl,
- 20:46Speaker 2: why did you do that?
- 20:47Speaker 9: Oh my god, you'd father be so disappointed at you.
- 20:49Speaker 2: She didn't want that, so instead of actually facing herself
- 20:54Speaker 2: and a decision making that she's doing morally and like
- 20:56Speaker 2: doing that. She would rather put her off, send her out,
- 21:00Speaker 2: and get rid of good coin that the crown needs
- 21:03Speaker 2: in this moment than to actually face in her own reflection.
- 21:07Speaker 3: And I was thinking, y'all don't even have the money
- 21:08Speaker 3: to be loaning out like that. Okay, I understand wanting
- 21:11Speaker 3: to stop the emotions that just essentially what you're doing.
- 21:14Speaker 1: You don't want to deal with the emotions.
- 21:15Speaker 3: You want to deal with that, But from a combat perspective,
- 21:18Speaker 3: from a strategy perspective, what sense does any of that make?
- 21:23Speaker 3: You are the queen who gives a fuck what Massaria thinks,
- 21:26Speaker 3: and is who gives a fuck how she's judging you,
- 21:29Speaker 3: because she fucking judges.
- 21:30Speaker 1: You, no matter what have you thought about that.
- 21:32Speaker 3: She judged you when you first showed up and you
- 21:35Speaker 3: were trying to figure out should I help the common
- 21:37Speaker 3: focus you or go to Damon's side. She was judging
- 21:40Speaker 3: the entire time. You are the queen. And this was
- 21:42Speaker 3: once again what I had said last week. She is
- 21:45Speaker 3: not doing what she's what egg god fucking does I'm
- 21:47Speaker 3: the fucking king. I have no power, I have nothing,
- 21:50Speaker 3: but I am convicted in my stance that I'm the king.
- 21:53Speaker 3: You need to have that ten conviction. She has no
- 21:54Speaker 3: conviction and allows the most what, the most common thing
- 21:59Speaker 3: to stop her because this girl got a judgment on you.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Who gives a fuck? Who gives the fuck? I don't
- 22:05Speaker 1: understand it. I don't understand it. It wasn't necessary.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Also, I note that Missari is not even a really
- 22:09Speaker 2: great master whispirits, so even like I actually I don't
- 22:15Speaker 2: really get the arguments to keep her around generally because
- 22:17Speaker 2: she's not really good at her job, so she should
- 22:20Speaker 2: have been gone, but because she can't do her job well,
- 22:22Speaker 2: not because she has feelings about it, like it is
- 22:25Speaker 2: what it is.
- 22:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I think her advocating for the people is.
- 22:32Speaker 8: It has clearly backfired, like like like giving the goal
- 22:37Speaker 8: to the giving the food to the people rather than
- 22:39Speaker 8: the money to the gold cloaks to defend the city
- 22:41Speaker 8: and stuff like it. Just like every time Massaria gets
- 22:45Speaker 8: her way and it comes back to haunt them.
- 22:47Speaker 4: I feel like Ray's just been notching it.
- 22:50Speaker 8: It's like how you get fired, but you you know
- 22:52Speaker 8: it's not because of what happened to day, is because
- 22:54Speaker 8: of what you've been doing I felt like that's what happened.
- 22:57Speaker 8: It's like, yeah, it seemed bru unless you go back
- 23:00Speaker 8: through the season and realize every time she listening to
- 23:03Speaker 8: you she's regretted it.
- 23:06Speaker 5: I got two things to say.
- 23:07Speaker 7: Rod said that they were spoon feeding us her crazy.
- 23:11Speaker 7: I feel more like they're spoon feeding us her stupid,
- 23:14Speaker 7: because it's not as much crazy to me as just stupidity.
- 23:18Speaker 7: Because again, her going back to the set isn't crazy,
- 23:22Speaker 7: that's just stupidity. Her killing dude instead of having her
- 23:28Speaker 7: whisper an assassin.
- 23:31Speaker 5: Someone killed dude. He is also stupid.
- 23:34Speaker 7: And the last thing I'll say that's not on stupid
- 23:37Speaker 7: is that for you know, the top hole in the Kingdom.
- 23:41Speaker 5: I'm sorry.
- 23:42Speaker 7: It just wasn't that good obviously, because ain't nobody turning
- 23:46Speaker 7: down good Blue Nanny, you know what I mean, good
- 23:48Speaker 7: d whatever, like fam you are gonna deal with emotion,
- 23:52Speaker 7: you gonna deal with crazy if it's that good, you
- 23:55Speaker 7: know what I mean? And you got good and your
- 23:58Speaker 7: assassin the.
- 24:00Speaker 2: Queen, Why are you are you gonna hold on it
- 24:02Speaker 2: something when it's abundant?
- 24:03Speaker 9: You can just get more like.
- 24:05Speaker 5: Why good is not abundant? Great?
- 24:09Speaker 8: She could have got she could have got Sylvie up
- 24:11Speaker 8: in there. Sylvie know how to work it, you know.
- 24:14Speaker 5: What I mean? Like that that's hard.
- 24:16Speaker 8: Sylvie would have still had a job today.
- 24:19Speaker 5: She would have still what I'm saying, it just obviously wasn't.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Like maybe Masaria is me.
- 24:24Speaker 8: It explains like why Damon had it locked up, Like
- 24:27Speaker 8: maybe that's what we've been missing. I will say this though,
- 24:31Speaker 8: when I say spoonfeeding the crazy, I don't mean she's
- 24:34Speaker 8: actually going crazy. I just mean the way to reund
- 24:37Speaker 8: would perceive it is like she went crazy. Like once
- 24:41Speaker 8: you start talking about the Song of Ice and Fire
- 24:43Speaker 8: and literally zero people have heard it outside your family.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Yeah, like once you say that out.
- 24:49Speaker 3: Loud, you sound it's supposed to be known, but it's
- 24:53Speaker 3: not supposed to be known. And I was falling down
- 24:56Speaker 3: floor laughing when she was just like, hey, Gon the
- 24:59Speaker 3: car Bunkerer, Like she hasn't been Mustard to say, that's
- 25:03Speaker 3: not the ag Gun we was talking about. Were talking
- 25:05Speaker 3: about this other egg.
- 25:06Speaker 4: Guy, real e Gong.
- 25:08Speaker 3: So imagine I'm on, I'm in the fucking corner of
- 25:11Speaker 3: Times Square just yelling about you know, ag On the Conqueror,
- 25:15Speaker 3: and I'm Tramise and I'm going nuts, and you're just
- 25:18Speaker 3: looking at me like, yo, what happened to Tatiana? And
- 25:22Speaker 3: that's what I'm saying that like the way it's written,
- 25:25Speaker 3: the way is to make you. And these people are
- 25:27Speaker 3: gonna be like, ah, she's a little off. I mean
- 25:30Speaker 3: she was already off. And now you see, you have
- 25:32Speaker 3: all of these rumors on the walls, and this is happening.
- 25:34Speaker 3: That's happening, and all I see is death around me,
- 25:36Speaker 3: and I got no food. And now she's telling me
- 25:39Speaker 3: about the winter coming from the north.
- 25:42Speaker 4: Fresh off of killing the hot septing.
- 25:44Speaker 7: Yeah, and everybody out there know you killed them because
- 25:47Speaker 7: you went inside and did not come back out with him.
- 25:49Speaker 4: That's what I'm saying.
- 25:51Speaker 5: They know you killed that man, like if you a mega.
- 25:54Speaker 8: If you killed a mega church pastor and then gave
- 25:57Speaker 8: a speech the president, gave a speech on the fucking
- 26:00Speaker 8: step to the church like I'm the only one that
- 26:02Speaker 8: could save you. Yeah, you look fucking crazy to me.
- 26:06Speaker 5: I mean, if you killed Joe and then gave that speech,
- 26:09Speaker 5: I might.
- 26:09Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying, I.
- 26:12Speaker 5: Might agree. I might be like word.
- 26:15Speaker 3: Poker feeling about that common folk to the common affiliates
- 26:19Speaker 3: with his millions of followers, just like, yeah, she was
- 26:22Speaker 3: talking to his She was talking to the people that
- 26:24Speaker 3: go to the church that may or may.
- 26:27Speaker 2: Not have been his his crowd because they can't. They
- 26:30Speaker 2: followed her host into the thing, so that might have
- 26:32Speaker 2: been a mix.
- 26:33Speaker 8: Well, they said they had been waiting outside because of
- 26:36Speaker 8: agon'ss like resume, like the people been sitting outside waiting
- 26:40Speaker 8: all day, So I'm like them was the people that
- 26:43Speaker 8: Todd You can't say that ship I killed, So I
- 26:47Speaker 8: killed Creplo dollar. But listen, this is uh, this is
- 26:51Speaker 8: I got a plan Like nah, dogg, you just sound crazy.
- 26:54Speaker 3: Yeah, and worst worst off, she had Alan kill him
- 26:58Speaker 3: because she did to that. And this has been the
- 27:01Speaker 3: big controversy this whole season about the sea snakes, you know,
- 27:06Speaker 3: progeny and how we treat Corliss and how we talk
- 27:09Speaker 3: about the Alan and Adam and deal with them. How
- 27:13Speaker 3: did y'all make of that, just the fact that they
- 27:16Speaker 3: had Alan do it, and the whole thing about with
- 27:18Speaker 3: Bayla coming in, like you just use people when you
- 27:23Speaker 3: you can use them, and then you talk them.
- 27:24Speaker 1: It's how you abandoned them.
- 27:25Speaker 2: I think it's very telling that the thing that she
- 27:30Speaker 2: says to Alan to.
- 27:34Speaker 9: Justify this killing MH is basically her giving him his
- 27:43Speaker 9: actual heritage.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Like she's like defirming it that he is from the
- 27:48Speaker 2: House of Dragons because Valerians are like Valerians, because like
- 27:54Speaker 2: there's yes, but Valerian's like the actual house that Corliss
- 28:00Speaker 2: like is that is the house that also comes from
- 28:03Speaker 2: old Valeria where the Targarians come from. So she's saying
- 28:06Speaker 2: because he's not he's not a Targarian, he's not his
- 28:08Speaker 2: ray niece's kid. He is legit cordlessest kid. So she's
- 28:13Speaker 2: telling he's confirming this is This is when she's ready
- 28:16Speaker 2: to say you are the son of this house because
- 28:19Speaker 2: she us because she wants to use him. And the
- 28:23Speaker 2: fact that Alan because like before Alan even went, his
- 28:27Speaker 2: brother confronted him on like why are you going with her?
- 28:31Speaker 2: You like she shouldn't even like where is she even going?
- 28:34Speaker 2: And Alan is ready to kind of like keep her word.
- 28:37Speaker 2: Then he is to like share with his brother what's
- 28:40Speaker 2: going on. And I feel like Alan's doing exactly what
- 28:43Speaker 2: he needs to be doing at this point. I'm not
- 28:44Speaker 2: even like questioning Alan's choices. I think it's interesting because
- 28:48Speaker 2: like what else is he gonna do. He's gonna like
- 28:50Speaker 2: he's like, oh, Baylor's locked up, He's gonna go run
- 28:52Speaker 2: up to Baylor's room and open up her door.
- 28:54Speaker 9: Like what is he gonna do?
- 28:55Speaker 2: Like he can't do anything in this situation that whatever
- 28:57Speaker 2: Adams asking him to do, so I think I think, yeah,
- 29:01Speaker 2: it's very much like Ben was saying, like it's exactly
- 29:03Speaker 2: what Bayla said, she uses people like tools.
- 29:06Speaker 9: And it's very interesting that.
- 29:10Speaker 2: She's ready to say this to him in confidence of
- 29:14Speaker 2: like this like private conversation between the two of them,
- 29:16Speaker 2: not with Corlis there too, not with Adam there too,
- 29:19Speaker 2: not with the crowd of folks around them. And I
- 29:22Speaker 2: think it also makes a point that I was saying
- 29:24Speaker 2: previous episodes that the she's not saying.
- 29:27Speaker 9: No, she's never saying no to acknowledging who they're from.
- 29:31Speaker 2: It was just that she needed her to have some
- 29:34Speaker 2: kind of relationship with them to feel like she's gonna
- 29:36Speaker 2: do something about it.
- 29:37Speaker 9: So she might do something about it. Now she might
- 29:39Speaker 9: proclaim it. We'll see.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Raynier is a hypocrite and it's fucked up.
- 29:43Speaker 3: Raynier is a hypocrite and his father and like I said,
- 29:45Speaker 3: I can see both sides of the situation. Like at
- 29:49Speaker 3: the end of the day, she just fucking dangled his
- 29:52Speaker 3: heritage and his birthright because she wanted to use him
- 29:55Speaker 3: in the moment. There was nobody else to use besides him,
- 29:58Speaker 3: and he is you know, that's that's the number one
- 30:01Speaker 3: thing on the front burner in his head, front burner,
- 30:04Speaker 3: back burner, side burner. I am of this is my heritage.
- 30:08Speaker 3: I'm supposed to be a Valarian, all this other stuff.
- 30:11Speaker 3: And you see that he's wearing the fucking sea snakes,
- 30:14Speaker 3: you know, uh, decal and all that stuff, like that's
- 30:17Speaker 3: all he cares about in the in the moment, and
- 30:19Speaker 3: that's what she latches onto. And in that sense, yes,
- 30:23Speaker 3: Raniera is a user, like and she she shows that
- 30:26Speaker 3: over and normal.
- 30:26Speaker 9: Every monarchy is a user, every monarchy is.
- 30:29Speaker 3: Absolutely It just pays me, particularly because on the one
- 30:33Speaker 3: side she does this, but it's like she goes out
- 30:35Speaker 3: to people weaker than her in the moment because she's
- 30:38Speaker 3: shown herself to be weak for over and over and over, every.
- 30:42Speaker 9: Monarch uses people who are weaker than them.
- 30:45Speaker 3: Poward does that, and that at that point that's fucked.
- 30:50Speaker 8: She was like she was using Massaria, you know, like
- 30:53Speaker 8: she was using she uses Damon at times, like they
- 30:56Speaker 8: all use each other.
- 30:57Speaker 4: All these are bad people.
- 30:58Speaker 8: But thing that made me laugh And this scene though,
- 31:00Speaker 8: was how he hesitated.
- 31:02Speaker 4: That was funniest ship. Like she was like kill him.
- 31:04Speaker 2: He was like you sure, but only to him because
- 31:09Speaker 2: he was ready to go, and then said you're going
- 31:11Speaker 2: to burn in hell for this.
- 31:12Speaker 9: He was like, well, see, I don't want to burn
- 31:13Speaker 9: in hell, like I believe.
- 31:17Speaker 8: I feel like Alan and Adam are essentially just niggas
- 31:20Speaker 8: at work.
- 31:21Speaker 5: Man.
- 31:22Speaker 8: I don't think they believe in any of this ship
- 31:24Speaker 8: to that extent, especially considering like their relationship to their
- 31:28Speaker 8: father not that tight. So like even like it made
- 31:33Speaker 8: sense to me that Baylor would have came to Ray
- 31:36Speaker 8: and been like, what's over my dad?
- 31:38Speaker 1: But like them too, I feel like both of them.
- 31:40Speaker 5: Was kind of like.
- 31:43Speaker 1: Tough scene, you know what I mean?
- 31:46Speaker 3: You know, even when the folks came over from High
- 31:49Speaker 3: Tide to help and they was just like, well what
- 31:52Speaker 3: about Corla's And he said, what about the nigga help over.
- 31:55Speaker 1: In this office? Like literally you want to help callers?
- 31:58Speaker 1: Help me?
- 31:58Speaker 4: I'm his son.
- 32:03Speaker 5: Himself into that ship.
- 32:04Speaker 3: Like adventures he said, well, he knew what he was
- 32:08Speaker 3: off to when he decided to do that bullshit.
- 32:12Speaker 1: Come on down and help me over here.
- 32:13Speaker 8: I'm like, I kind of highly relate to them people
- 32:17Speaker 8: as people that's had jobs working for white folks. Man,
- 32:20Speaker 8: it's just not my business at that level. I don't like,
- 32:23Speaker 8: it's like escort my sorry. Okay, I guess they not
- 32:26Speaker 8: fucking no more. Man, come, come get in the cart. Man, Like,
- 32:30Speaker 8: why are you like appealing to my moral clarity and ship?
- 32:34Speaker 1: Man?
- 32:34Speaker 8: I'm not in the moral clarity position at this job. Man,
- 32:37Speaker 8: you're supposed to take that up higher than me.
- 32:39Speaker 5: Man, But I don't want to burn in hell straight up?
- 32:42Speaker 5: You know what I mean.
- 32:43Speaker 8: That's why he hesitated because black people believe in that.
- 32:46Speaker 8: That was the one thing he could have said that
- 32:48Speaker 8: make a brother pause because I don't even go to church.
- 32:50Speaker 1: But if you was like, you know you do this,
- 32:52Speaker 1: you going to Hell.
- 32:52Speaker 8: I'm like, ah, strong, got a strong Can we put
- 32:58Speaker 8: him in a cell?
- 33:00Speaker 1: But the dragons won over Hell apparently, so yeah, I guess.
- 33:03Speaker 8: So, I mean, listen, you gotta do it. He's still
- 33:06Speaker 8: at work. He like, want to get paid on the fifteen.
- 33:08Speaker 2: The thing that's gonna let you're gonna might mention Tatana
- 33:11Speaker 2: and you said that she's a hypocrite. Is the fut
- 33:12Speaker 2: because like, for me, the biggest hyper critical point for
- 33:15Speaker 2: me is that you've been looking for the step to
- 33:18Speaker 2: give you their buy in this whole time, and it's
- 33:22Speaker 2: only when you're ready to be like, oh, we're blood
- 33:24Speaker 2: at the dragon, don't even worry about it.
- 33:25Speaker 9: Take them out.
- 33:26Speaker 2: That's when you're ready to be like, oh, we don't
- 33:28Speaker 2: care about the faith, we don't believe in the faith.
- 33:29Speaker 9: It doesn't mean anything for us.
- 33:31Speaker 2: Like that was the biggest shit a critical point to me,
- 33:33Speaker 2: Like if it never mattered to you, then you would
- 33:35Speaker 2: have been taking did what everyone wanted to do. You
- 33:37Speaker 2: would have dragon conquered everything. It would not have been
- 33:39Speaker 2: a big thing to you. But you've been sitting over
- 33:41Speaker 2: here trying to get them to say you're a petitioning
- 33:43Speaker 2: you to be the queen this whole time, So like,
- 33:45Speaker 2: what really, what's really true?
- 33:47Speaker 5: What's really lucky?
- 33:48Speaker 4: She lucky?
- 33:48Speaker 8: Damon? Not a real I told you so, dude, because
- 33:52Speaker 8: he owe her a lot of I told you so
- 33:54Speaker 8: because he told her all this shit to start, and
- 33:57Speaker 8: she was like, you not too much you you really
- 33:59Speaker 8: tripping right now? And then she's just doing everything he
- 34:02Speaker 8: said to do. Yes, he's away like okay.
- 34:06Speaker 3: And they showed that in the scene where after she
- 34:09Speaker 3: was done snot knows crying, and then she said this
- 34:12Speaker 3: is what we're gonna do, and you saw his face.
- 34:14Speaker 3: He did say I told you so right in his face.
- 34:16Speaker 3: He was just looking at the side like, ah, tell
- 34:18Speaker 3: me some more, nigga. And she was like, you're gonna
- 34:20Speaker 3: go fly there. You're gonna do this. You're gonna do
- 34:22Speaker 3: that literally, bar for bar what he been told her
- 34:25Speaker 3: three weeks ago. Right, it could have been an email.
- 34:28Speaker 3: And he's like, yes, bitch, I know, fine it right?
- 34:31Speaker 8: If anything, he's like, so you still want me to
- 34:34Speaker 8: go door to door and tell me?
- 34:36Speaker 1: Do you want me to get the watch hours or what?
- 34:38Speaker 10: Right?
- 34:38Speaker 4: Remember when I said we should burn it down?
- 34:40Speaker 1: Okay? No, no, no, no, not too much. I'm leaving.
- 34:41Speaker 4: I'm leaving.
- 34:44Speaker 2: I feel like he was like, this makes her feel
- 34:46Speaker 2: better if she just needs to say the words to
- 34:48Speaker 2: herself instead of me.
- 34:50Speaker 1: He wants here to it.
- 34:51Speaker 2: Okay, I will entertain you having say the words out
- 34:55Speaker 2: loud for yourself.
- 34:56Speaker 8: Cool, you know what that's part of a relationship, that's
- 34:58Speaker 8: part of a marriage. There are certain things you got.
- 35:00Speaker 8: They gotta come to it on their own. You can't
- 35:02Speaker 8: just be like, you know, you want pizza, you always
- 35:05Speaker 8: want pizza. You can't you say that now you're not
- 35:07Speaker 8: getting No one's eating anything to night.
- 35:11Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 35:12Speaker 5: I will. I will say that Alan killing the se
- 35:15Speaker 5: is like again, like.
- 35:16Speaker 1: The imagery was wild.
- 35:19Speaker 7: We know that they're not supposed to be black people,
- 35:22Speaker 7: but having this one black man walk into a room
- 35:25Speaker 7: full of white men and then murder one of them,
- 35:28Speaker 7: of the white woman one of them.
- 35:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I appreciate, I appreciate individuals, like you should have
- 35:34Speaker 2: taken out more of them, but.
- 35:36Speaker 5: Yeah, that's just me.
- 35:37Speaker 4: I guess that's the only thing.
- 35:38Speaker 9: You're going to go in there to slice them all down,
- 35:40Speaker 9: like take him all.
- 35:41Speaker 1: Out, don't.
- 35:42Speaker 8: It was hilardinous that he hesitated, but like it would
- 35:44Speaker 8: have been more gangster if he did.
- 35:46Speaker 1: And if he's just like.
- 35:47Speaker 8: Like if she wouldn't even have been able to finish
- 35:49Speaker 8: her sentence like this nigga ain't gonna come around, right,
- 35:54Speaker 8: what are we doing?
- 35:56Speaker 3: Listen, guys, for the for the for the people listening.
- 35:58Speaker 3: I gotta always do this disclaim. We know that there's
- 36:01Speaker 3: no races here in Game of Thrones. Everyone's just when
- 36:04Speaker 3: there's racist, just not black and white. But guess what
- 36:06Speaker 3: it's is castle back, and we're gonna get these jokes off.
- 36:08Speaker 1: Okay, deal with it.
- 36:09Speaker 7: Yes, And it's also like I say, even though there
- 36:11Speaker 7: are no racist it's still a wild visual for people watching,
- 36:14Speaker 7: you know, like yeah, but like Rod say, if he'd
- 36:17Speaker 7: done off a few more of him, who would have
- 36:19Speaker 7: been a better visual?
- 36:20Speaker 5: You know, you're right?
- 36:21Speaker 8: Y Porschia said that, and I agree, yeah, kill them
- 36:23Speaker 8: like he would have went, like he would have ran
- 36:25Speaker 8: off like six seven in a row dog. I'm like, no,
- 36:29Speaker 8: he really wanted to be the sea snake and I
- 36:31Speaker 8: would have with that.
- 36:33Speaker 3: I'm him, I'm him, and I would have fuck with
- 36:36Speaker 3: that just because, you know, off of just the wildness
- 36:38Speaker 3: of it. Yes, and the fact that I don't fuck
- 36:40Speaker 3: with the set because I think they smug motherfuckers and
- 36:43Speaker 3: I want them gone. So I wanted them gone from Jump,
- 36:46Speaker 3: so I would have been like, oh good, finally someone
- 36:48Speaker 3: did something useful.
- 36:50Speaker 8: Also, I will say the threat of hell in West
- 36:54Speaker 8: Throws actually does hit harder because like they got supernatural
- 36:57Speaker 8: shit happening all the time, Like that might be real,
- 37:01Speaker 8: you know what.
- 37:02Speaker 1: They're like, You're gonna go to hell.
- 37:03Speaker 8: You're like, oh what that might be a real location
- 37:06Speaker 8: in westro.
- 37:09Speaker 5: People might have come back from it at some point, right,
- 37:12Speaker 5: but I don't know.
- 37:12Speaker 3: We want to go back to your list of stupid
- 37:14Speaker 3: things that can we say before we move on from this?
- 37:16Speaker 1: Twenty things that happened?
- 37:18Speaker 2: Just before we move on from this, I want to
- 37:19Speaker 2: say that the there's a reason why Raynera chose to
- 37:23Speaker 2: get someone else to kill the hycentom and she didn't
- 37:26Speaker 2: have she didn't visually do it herself, and to not
- 37:29Speaker 2: come outside with blood on her, to not be in
- 37:31Speaker 2: front of the people with like her literally having the
- 37:33Speaker 2: blood of who they were or who they taped to.
- 37:36Speaker 9: You or whatever.
- 37:38Speaker 2: And I think for me, what it took out for
- 37:41Speaker 2: me the most about that was that she has had
- 37:45Speaker 2: a couple of different times where she could have She
- 37:47Speaker 2: should have been that one on the front end, taken
- 37:50Speaker 2: on like the fight, and I think the Battle of
- 37:53Speaker 2: the Gullet was her opportunity, but she was like willing
- 37:56Speaker 2: to do it. She was like, I'm gonna go out
- 37:58Speaker 2: there on my dragon. I'm bowing to take the people out.
- 38:00Speaker 2: I feel like it would have been tougher if she
- 38:03Speaker 2: would have just been the one to go on and
- 38:05Speaker 2: to snap all the next and the sception like if
- 38:06Speaker 2: you're gonna live where dragons, we don't give a shit
- 38:09Speaker 2: about the faith, then do it yourself, like put your
- 38:12Speaker 2: own get your own hands, bloody bat shit. So I
- 38:15Speaker 2: think that's what bothers me the most about it, Like
- 38:17Speaker 2: was Allan doing it real cool, but like it would
- 38:20Speaker 2: have been tougher if near had done it.
- 38:22Speaker 3: Absolutely, and the gullet she got locked up and couldn't
- 38:25Speaker 3: go out there.
- 38:26Speaker 9: She has had every decision to make.
- 38:28Speaker 1: She's besides that.
- 38:29Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely, even when she first pulled up to King's
- 38:32Speaker 3: landing and Damon told her take his head and she
- 38:35Speaker 3: fucking crying, throwing up, screaming, right, couldn't do it. She's
- 38:39Speaker 3: shown over and over and that in certain contexts she's
- 38:41Speaker 3: bitch made.
- 38:42Speaker 1: But she did.
- 38:43Speaker 2: Struggle on her dragon and not on her lot with
- 38:46Speaker 2: her own hands.
- 38:46Speaker 8: She did struggle through that behead and no struggled, So
- 38:50Speaker 8: I wonder if she that was in the back of
- 38:52Speaker 8: her head, like I got this guy gotta get killed
- 38:55Speaker 8: real good looking, like it can't. I can't be out
- 38:57Speaker 8: here struggle chopping it this man because I haven't really
- 39:00Speaker 8: practiced with my sword. She been too busy, like she
- 39:06Speaker 8: should be sparring. She should be getting some sword lessons
- 39:08Speaker 8: like Aria used to get. Like she's been too busy,
- 39:11Speaker 8: like scissoring and delegating ship to like be working on
- 39:15Speaker 8: what she needs to when it comes to killing people.
- 39:17Speaker 8: So I kind of understand she might not have had
- 39:19Speaker 8: the sword confidence to take that man out.
- 39:22Speaker 7: That sounds very one last thing on this scene because
- 39:29Speaker 7: before and I think that was Massaria who had advised
- 39:32Speaker 7: her not to come out wearing the crown, not to
- 39:35Speaker 7: come out wearing your sword, she comes out in her
- 39:37Speaker 7: full dragon all her dragon eyes, sword, crown, everything, and
- 39:43Speaker 7: then starts talking crazy to these people. So it is
- 39:46Speaker 7: like she is full far gone, like this is not
- 39:50Speaker 7: even spoon feeding, Like the crazy is on full display.
- 39:53Speaker 9: You're gonna go full crazy then take out everybody.
- 39:57Speaker 7: Right, It would have been ill if she stepped out
- 40:00Speaker 7: fully bloodied up, because she's already got the armor and stuff,
- 40:03Speaker 7: So it looks like she can go in there to
- 40:04Speaker 7: put in work, So show you ready to put in work.
- 40:07Speaker 5: Now it looks like you've let other people do your work.
- 40:09Speaker 3: Yes, I she should have pulled up like this from
- 40:11Speaker 3: Jump Street. What did damon say? They only understand power?
- 40:16Speaker 5: Yeah, and once again little Joffrey.
- 40:20Speaker 7: That boy has not a word full episodes now three
- 40:24Speaker 7: of them sleep, this one.
- 40:26Speaker 5: He just sits there and watching you. You know, he
- 40:28Speaker 5: can't even be like.
- 40:29Speaker 7: Yes, mommy nothing and then his I will give the
- 40:32Speaker 7: after a lot of credit though, because he does give
- 40:35Speaker 7: mom a look of oh my god, this someone crazy
- 40:38Speaker 7: when she give in that speech like my man looks
- 40:40Speaker 7: up at her, here's her and he just slumps in like,
- 40:43Speaker 7: I mean, how.
- 40:44Speaker 4: Much time has he actually spent with that woman?
- 40:47Speaker 5: Not much?
- 40:47Speaker 1: Does he know her?
- 40:48Speaker 9: No?
- 40:48Speaker 8: I mean like she like, yeah, she's like you said
- 40:52Speaker 8: she when she has a use for you, she pulled
- 40:54Speaker 8: you out and so that's what she's doing to her
- 40:56Speaker 8: own son. Now his son probably been ready by the
- 41:00Speaker 8: nanny the whole time. Now to our first Yeah, our
- 41:04Speaker 8: first trip out is gonna be to the sept so
- 41:07Speaker 8: you could kill somebody and tell me I'm the king, Like, ma'am,
- 41:11Speaker 8: this is a lot. I just we do some ABC's
- 41:13Speaker 8: can we watch Blue Clues or some ship like can
- 41:17Speaker 8: we start Rachel, Right, can we start small, We're gonna
- 41:21Speaker 8: started fucking overthrowing the kindle.
- 41:24Speaker 2: I just recognized that, Like what we're basically saying is
- 41:27Speaker 2: that she's playing Pokemon.
- 41:28Speaker 9: She's a Pokemon trainer.
- 41:29Speaker 2: She's pulling out her different Pokemon and she's really ready
- 41:31Speaker 2: to have them go in.
- 41:32Speaker 1: There's a terrible trainer.
- 41:34Speaker 3: She's not at all almost like basically basically Damon is
- 41:40Speaker 3: as Charizard and she's ashed like she's.
- 41:42Speaker 1: Just that's funny.
- 41:45Speaker 8: And Jeffrey also the other thing too, is like Jeoffrey's
- 41:49Speaker 8: getting this education of like you know, how to be
- 41:53Speaker 8: royalty and stuff and what this world is. Like I
- 41:56Speaker 8: don't it's gonna fuck him up too, Like he's there's
- 41:59Speaker 8: no way he's gonna come back out normal unless you
- 42:01Speaker 8: just want to go live at the wall or some shit,
- 42:03Speaker 8: because it's like all this stuff is so crazy. If
- 42:07Speaker 8: he follows in her fix footsteps like an Aco, like
- 42:09Speaker 8: he'll be a crazy person.
- 42:11Speaker 1: Uh.
- 42:11Speaker 8: The only way I could see it, like, if anything,
- 42:13Speaker 8: it was gonna make me not want to rule, Like
- 42:15Speaker 8: can I how can I go be somewhere?
- 42:17Speaker 1: Not here? Look at those things? Man? I hate that
- 42:20Speaker 1: she'd be knowing.
- 42:21Speaker 7: One of my I try to say this about Joffy.
- 42:23Speaker 7: One of my favorite battle rap moments of this year is, uh,
- 42:27Speaker 7: this woman, Jazz, the rapper and incredible rapper, is battling
- 42:29Speaker 7: a dude t top and she says, most parents you
- 42:32Speaker 7: talk about how he racist?
- 42:33Speaker 5: Did? She says, most parents teach their kids Chaos for Kangaroo.
- 42:37Speaker 7: You teach your kid KOs for Kilo and this moment,
- 42:44Speaker 7: most parents teach k for Kane for killing. He really saw,
- 42:49Speaker 7: you know, Alan put that work in right, Like I mean.
- 42:52Speaker 5: Adam keep getting these negro Alan you had all right? Okay, yeah,
- 42:55Speaker 5: well he saw him put that work in like it is.
- 42:58Speaker 8: And from a production stam point, the show gets to
- 43:01Speaker 8: pay that actor scale, I believe, because he have no lines.
- 43:04Speaker 7: That's what you know. That was my theory is that
- 43:07Speaker 7: they are trying to keep the budget down by not
- 43:09Speaker 7: having this boy speak because he slept for three episodes
- 43:13Speaker 7: and now he's walked through this one.
- 43:15Speaker 3: Well he's first of all, I last time I remember
- 43:18Speaker 3: seeing him, he was an infant and now he's walking
- 43:19Speaker 3: and talking, so well, you know, I just.
- 43:24Speaker 2: Think the other thing, but production side of it is
- 43:26Speaker 2: that the when we see then like the one thing
- 43:30Speaker 2: we see a note of him and her. The first
- 43:32Speaker 2: shot we get them together is when they're going through
- 43:36Speaker 2: kings Landing and the.
- 43:37Speaker 9: Shot of like queen of bastards, that's her last bastard.
- 43:40Speaker 9: That vest of her kids are legitimate through daymon.
- 43:43Speaker 2: That what the two kids that are surviving because like
- 43:45Speaker 2: the ones Raina was supposed to be with, those are legitimate.
- 43:48Speaker 9: Targarians for full Blood. That's her last bastard.
- 43:51Speaker 2: So the production making sure that was the one shot
- 43:54Speaker 2: we got bastards and she has her last bastard child.
- 43:58Speaker 1: That was she looked at their feeding and looked at
- 44:00Speaker 1: him like.
- 44:01Speaker 5: Damn, just you got multiple bast like that.
- 44:05Speaker 1: That's the last. There's still a lot of episode we
- 44:09Speaker 1: have to talk about.
- 44:11Speaker 7: I got one more thing on my list of dumb
- 44:13Speaker 7: things and this will take us into the next part. Okay,
- 44:16Speaker 7: Ray never looking at the goddamn quilt that.
- 44:21Speaker 1: That's perfect because I wanted to talk about Helena.
- 44:24Speaker 5: It was right there, like she looks down at it
- 44:26Speaker 5: on the ground and then.
- 44:27Speaker 1: Go r, I take my glasses off of that. I
- 44:30Speaker 1: only take my glasses off a couple of.
- 44:31Speaker 5: Times, like oh what are you doing?
- 44:36Speaker 1: Every other? So so let me get this straight.
- 44:39Speaker 3: You had a full blown, long conversation with Alison and
- 44:43Speaker 3: found out that Helena was a dreamer.
- 44:46Speaker 1: You believe in that. You know what that means.
- 44:48Speaker 3: You know, the girl can see the future, can see
- 44:50Speaker 3: the president to pass, all that other stuff or whatever
- 44:52Speaker 3: whatever dreamer see and that she's accurately predicted several things
- 44:56Speaker 3: that have already come to pass. You've seen her quiote
- 44:59Speaker 3: before with her brother in heron hall and all this
- 45:01Speaker 3: other stuff, and then found out like five seconds later, oh.
- 45:05Speaker 1: Amon's in hair and hall. Okay, cool? What made you
- 45:09Speaker 1: not look at the quote this time?
- 45:10Speaker 3: You picked it up and then put it like you
- 45:14Speaker 3: just to even try, Like I saw the deliberate like you,
- 45:19Speaker 3: what was going through your head? And I saw Ryde
- 45:21Speaker 3: put his head down as soon as you said the quote.
- 45:23Speaker 3: Because it's just like, my nigga, you have the sat
- 45:27Speaker 3: questions and answers right in front of you.
- 45:29Speaker 8: The whole thing she been questioning Helena like her gift
- 45:35Speaker 8: is like having the DVD box set of the seasons
- 45:39Speaker 8: director's cut, you know what I mean. And I'm like,
- 45:41Speaker 8: clearly it don't work that way, Like it's not a
- 45:43Speaker 8: matter of like if I ask her this way, then
- 45:46Speaker 8: I'll get the right.
- 45:47Speaker 4: You're not ever gonna understand.
- 45:48Speaker 8: Right, But she has been working on this quote, which
- 45:51Speaker 8: you have taken out of her hands several times at
- 45:53Speaker 8: this point without looking at it. Just it's crazy. What
- 45:57Speaker 8: had to happen for her to be like, oh shit, hey,
- 46:00Speaker 8: did y'all know the answers is on the quilt? That's crazy.
- 46:04Speaker 8: I could have we could have. She didn't even need
- 46:06Speaker 8: to die. She could have been eating everything.
- 46:09Speaker 1: I't never seen this quote before.
- 46:11Speaker 3: I didn't see it last week when she prophesized where
- 46:14Speaker 3: my you know, enemy was that the whole time?
- 46:16Speaker 4: Damn it?
- 46:17Speaker 5: Right?
- 46:18Speaker 3: And I listen, and and Helena is a fan favorite,
- 46:22Speaker 3: and and Rod you always say, just listen to Helena.
- 46:26Speaker 3: The fact that she had to pull a thim, INN.
- 46:29Speaker 1: Have to say, window Helena, but.
- 46:33Speaker 4: Right right, you did it first.
- 46:37Speaker 2: And it was a point that fissed me off when
- 46:38Speaker 2: it happens. I just want to I want to know
- 46:40Speaker 2: that the same window because I.
- 46:43Speaker 1: Because women don't never get crazy.
- 46:48Speaker 4: She was groundbreaking, literally pioneer literally before come on, she
- 46:59Speaker 4: didn't been at the fall off at the fall up.
- 47:03Speaker 1: Yo, Oh god, okay, always.
- 47:11Speaker 3: Jake Cole's always right. I feel bad I do feel
- 47:16Speaker 3: bad Helena. They say she's the one innocent and all this,
- 47:19Speaker 3: even though no one did this. But she's the one
- 47:20Speaker 3: innocent in all of this, you know. Uh, the force
- 47:24Speaker 3: feeding was the last straw.
- 47:26Speaker 4: Yeah, and that's.
- 47:27Speaker 3: What I wanted to say, was another stupid move. Yeah,
- 47:30Speaker 3: you know this girl is on edge. People been telling you,
- 47:33Speaker 3: Allison once again, Alison's been telling you she's not all
- 47:36Speaker 3: the way there. You gotta be at least let her
- 47:39Speaker 3: go to the fucking woods and play with the fish
- 47:41Speaker 3: in the water, you know, once an hour a day.
- 47:43Speaker 1: She can just hold on.
- 47:44Speaker 3: The fact that y'all you did that, like you're she
- 47:47Speaker 3: already shown you because it's not the first time. Ran
- 47:50Speaker 3: Neerer went into the room, was like, you gotta get
- 47:52Speaker 3: your ship together, like you gotta go eat, you gotta
- 47:54Speaker 3: go this, and and Helena to fight her to her
- 47:57Speaker 3: face and said, don't make me do this. She this
- 47:59Speaker 3: is not the first time. I mean, it's not the
- 48:00Speaker 3: first time. Rinier was warned. So for her to just
- 48:02Speaker 3: do it anyway, I'm like, what made you do it?
- 48:05Speaker 5: Now?
- 48:05Speaker 1: Is again the timing? Why now?
- 48:08Speaker 3: Why today, out of all things that have happened today,
- 48:11Speaker 3: Why I don't get it.
- 48:13Speaker 8: I think it's because Agon popped back up. Man, she
- 48:15Speaker 8: just she got so she triggered everything. It triggered everything.
- 48:20Speaker 7: And that again is like where I just I keep
- 48:22Speaker 7: saying smarter.
- 48:24Speaker 1: Than that in three s.
- 48:25Speaker 8: But that ship she was shoot when she came in
- 48:28Speaker 8: there crying. That was her mental state for the rest
- 48:31Speaker 8: of the episode. Even though her face had got together
- 48:34Speaker 8: on the outside, inside she was still.
- 48:37Speaker 4: The oh my god, they come in to take my crown.
- 48:39Speaker 8: Like, and that's every move she made was just a
- 48:42Speaker 8: desperate move that made things worse. Like you didn't need
- 48:46Speaker 8: to put that full court press on her line and
- 48:47Speaker 8: what was she was gonna fucking tell you today? Like
- 48:50Speaker 8: what could she have possibly told you that would have
- 48:52Speaker 8: made today go better? If you actually you are gonna
- 48:55Speaker 8: be on the throne? Okay, well shit, let me chill out.
- 48:57Speaker 8: I'm gonna call Damon back and say don't go out there.
- 49:00Speaker 8: It was it was just such a rash move.
- 49:02Speaker 1: It was raggedy, and Helena called you ugly. Okay, let's move.
- 49:06Speaker 2: That was one of the best, one of the biggest
- 49:08Speaker 2: siblings things I've ever seen this Targarians do. I've never
- 49:10Speaker 2: seen the Targarians act more like siblings than when Helena
- 49:13Speaker 2: was like, well, I think you're ugly.
- 49:15Speaker 9: I think everything you do with ugly, everything you say ugly.
- 49:19Speaker 2: That's my guy. You don't even Dady would have never
- 49:20Speaker 2: did this.
- 49:22Speaker 1: She said, you and your mama, your daddy's son, right.
- 49:25Speaker 4: This castle ugly.
- 49:26Speaker 9: Everything ugly in your life. Ugly.
- 49:30Speaker 8: That's that's the worst kind of insult where it's like true,
- 49:33Speaker 8: so you know it's no comeback to You're like, shit,
- 49:36Speaker 8: I am, I have done some ugly shit to be
- 49:39Speaker 8: this is ugly you right?
- 49:41Speaker 2: And she knows how Helena is too so for Helena
- 49:43Speaker 2: to say that's what she's like, dang not Helena telling me.
- 49:45Speaker 8: I'm ugly, right, Well, you're gonna get this soup? You
- 49:48Speaker 8: got water board this soup. I don't know that much.
- 49:51Speaker 1: You know what else?
- 49:52Speaker 9: Ugly me making you eat this soup.
- 49:53Speaker 3: Let's I just I think the point is, like, what
- 49:58Speaker 3: did you expect Helena.
- 49:59Speaker 1: To tell you?
- 50:00Speaker 3: Right, She's gonna tell you some some wild shit that
- 50:02Speaker 3: don't make sense to you in the moment, look at
- 50:05Speaker 3: the fucking scroll.
- 50:06Speaker 1: And move on.
- 50:08Speaker 7: And this is what I keep talking about, and how
- 50:09Speaker 7: I've been saying this for three seasons now.
- 50:11Speaker 5: Is that.
- 50:13Speaker 7: As much as Vissera's did not prepare her, I guess
- 50:17Speaker 7: for this, you know, crown or whatever. It's also just
- 50:21Speaker 7: like she just comes off as stupid. I'm sorry. Like
- 50:24Speaker 7: Agon coming back should not be that big a deal
- 50:27Speaker 7: to you. I get it, you know. Oh he's you know,
- 50:29Speaker 7: the king and everything, and a lot of people believe
- 50:32Speaker 7: in him. But this isn't going to be an everyday
- 50:34Speaker 7: thing for you. As long as you are queen, someone
- 50:37Speaker 7: is always doing fucking test yo shit. Yeah, and you
- 50:40Speaker 7: can't be bugging out every time someone tests your shit.
- 50:43Speaker 5: You're a woman on the throne.
- 50:45Speaker 7: It's never going to be easy, and she just acts
- 50:48Speaker 7: like it's going to be easy. And your woman on
- 50:51Speaker 7: the throne with dragons, like Damon tells you, most of
- 50:54Speaker 7: these people hate you off jeepp just because you got dragons.
- 50:59Speaker 5: They can't fucking joy as.
- 51:01Speaker 9: I just feel like that's my main thing.
- 51:02Speaker 2: Like her intuition told her to not get on that
- 51:04Speaker 2: throne until she got figured out where the where in
- 51:07Speaker 2: the world Agon was, and she should have led with that.
- 51:10Speaker 2: She should she should have not ever sat the throne.
- 51:13Speaker 5: She just did.
- 51:13Speaker 2: Her counsel got that stuff together and had in the meantime,
- 51:17Speaker 2: had people on the case of figuring out where Agon
- 51:20Speaker 2: was to take him out. For her to declare, Oh,
- 51:22Speaker 2: we're not gonna worry about it, We're just gonna do it.
- 51:24Speaker 2: Then again, if you're gonna if you say something, then
- 51:27Speaker 2: stand on that shit. That's my primary issue with her
- 51:30Speaker 2: characterization over time, because we spent the past, the whole
- 51:35Speaker 2: first season on her getting her daddy up out of
- 51:39Speaker 2: his deathbed to name her his successor. If your daddy's
- 51:44Speaker 2: word is the thing that matters the most and the
- 51:46Speaker 2: whole world for you to be his successor, why does
- 51:49Speaker 2: it matter? Yeah, if the high septim says something else,
- 51:54Speaker 2: why does it matter?
- 51:55Speaker 9: If the high houses say something else, why does it matter?
- 51:58Speaker 2: Like, if you are about that life, then take that
- 52:02Speaker 2: actually need to take to ensure you have the steps.
- 52:05Speaker 2: It doesn't matter what anyone else does. It's all on
- 52:08Speaker 2: you if that's who you are, if you're the head,
- 52:10Speaker 2: if you're the monarch, then it's all on you regardless,
- 52:13Speaker 2: So go do it. Like That's what it feels like.
- 52:15Speaker 2: She's not convicted enough to actually be the role that
- 52:19Speaker 2: she says she wants to do, and that's what pisses
- 52:21Speaker 2: me off. The most because I'm like, I don't get
- 52:25Speaker 2: them making her characterization less because in the books, she's
- 52:28Speaker 2: moving in a way that she wants that seat, and
- 52:31Speaker 2: I don't feel like she really wants the seat and
- 52:34Speaker 2: the story. It just feels like she's just kind of
- 52:36Speaker 2: like falling into it in some kind of way. And
- 52:38Speaker 2: it doesn't make any kind of sense to me.
- 52:39Speaker 3: She wants to title not the seat, and I think
- 52:42Speaker 3: there's a different or she wants to title not the
- 52:44Speaker 3: responsibilities behind it. I mean, it doesn't understand the true
- 52:48Speaker 3: responsibilities behind it. And with you, you've repeated what I've
- 52:50Speaker 3: been saying about lack of conviction. Mister p you just
- 52:55Speaker 3: told everybody egg on a conqueror's dream.
- 52:58Speaker 1: This is the thing that is writing.
- 53:00Speaker 3: This is the thing, your lifeblood of why you keep
- 53:02Speaker 3: pushing to do what you do and who you say
- 53:05Speaker 3: what you are, but then you don't follow through. And
- 53:07Speaker 3: to your point when it comes to characterizations, I don't understand.
- 53:10Speaker 3: How can you be so strong willed in one way,
- 53:13Speaker 3: but then when it comes to the action you're not
- 53:15Speaker 3: following with it. I don't get it. It doesn't make
- 53:17Speaker 3: sense for the story of this character.
- 53:20Speaker 4: I think two things are killing her.
- 53:22Speaker 8: The first is she she'll never get out of her
- 53:26Speaker 8: head that if I was a man, this would have
- 53:28Speaker 8: been easier, Like she's gonna always that's gonna always fuck
- 53:32Speaker 8: with her. She's yeah, because it being true doesn't like
- 53:36Speaker 8: matter one way or the other, Like it is a
- 53:38Speaker 8: fact and she's it but it is, but it's a fact,
- 53:41Speaker 8: meaning that she can't change anything about it. But she's
- 53:44Speaker 8: obsessed with this idea of like my dad was soft
- 53:48Speaker 8: and they was just letting him get to he was
- 53:51Speaker 8: the king, and they let him be the king. I
- 53:53Speaker 8: am strong and they not letting me do it. So
- 53:55Speaker 8: that's in her mind. And then the second thing I
- 53:58Speaker 8: think is like a therapy thing, when you are afraid
- 54:04Speaker 8: of something being true about yourself, it is more powerful,
- 54:09Speaker 8: it becomes more powerful. And I think she is afraid
- 54:12Speaker 8: that everyone's right. She doesn't belong on the throne.
- 54:15Speaker 4: She she is.
- 54:16Speaker 8: Like her dad was wrong to put her there, and
- 54:19Speaker 8: agon is the real king and shit, And I think
- 54:21Speaker 8: she moves in a way where her insecurities be right
- 54:25Speaker 8: on her sleep. We can all see it. The crown
- 54:27Speaker 8: can see it, the kingdom can see it. The small
- 54:29Speaker 8: folk can say, it's like you move like you really
- 54:32Speaker 8: don't think you're supposed to be here, Like these are
- 54:35Speaker 8: desperate moves of a person that doesn't really think they
- 54:37Speaker 8: should be here. You took the throne because you were
- 54:41Speaker 8: scared of not taking the throne.
- 54:43Speaker 4: And what does it say about you?
- 54:44Speaker 8: Oh so you really think you not the queen, that's
- 54:46Speaker 8: why you waited to get on the throne. She just
- 54:48Speaker 8: moves in a way that's very insecure, and I think
- 54:51Speaker 8: it comes across.
- 54:53Speaker 7: H I think, Yeah, that's the end of my list
- 54:59Speaker 7: of that she did. Yeah, silly things that she did
- 55:02Speaker 7: this episode as far as I can remember from.
- 55:06Speaker 3: Yeah, they're listen the treasons right, the treasons at Tumbleton.
- 55:12Speaker 3: Tumbleton was was one of one of the biggest fuck
- 55:15Speaker 3: ups I've ever seen in the history of battles in
- 55:19Speaker 3: shows on both sides, but one of the biggest fuck
- 55:22Speaker 3: ups I've ever seen. And again, who suffers at the end,
- 55:26Speaker 3: and thank you for saying the right term for them?
- 55:28Speaker 1: The small folk.
- 55:29Speaker 8: Yes, the merchants of Tumbleton who just paid taxes. They
- 55:34Speaker 8: didn't even want to smoke, you know what I mean?
- 55:37Speaker 8: Like that that town don't have an army, They just merchants.
- 55:40Speaker 8: They like we make money, we pay taxes. Whoever got
- 55:43Speaker 8: the crown cool can't get the taxes.
- 55:45Speaker 1: Leave us alone.
- 55:46Speaker 8: Let us know, y'all need some goods and services and
- 55:48Speaker 8: their whole town is fucking Have.
- 55:51Speaker 2: We seen Ladies since the first that episode where Ormond
- 55:55Speaker 2: came through theme out, like, I'm not hope.
- 55:57Speaker 9: I hope they're going to cell somewhere.
- 55:59Speaker 1: I don't know it's like.
- 56:04Speaker 4: In they house no more.
- 56:05Speaker 8: I know that he took that ship over it's taking
- 56:07Speaker 8: baths in their living room.
- 56:08Speaker 4: That was crazy?
- 56:12Speaker 1: What what I mean?
- 56:12Speaker 3: We knew this was happening about off turning and ended
- 56:15Speaker 3: up turning on everybody.
- 56:17Speaker 1: But what was worse that or.
- 56:21Speaker 3: Putting the children up in front of the.
- 56:26Speaker 8: Hey man, That's why I can never not love this
- 56:29Speaker 8: show though, Like I know, people be trying to like
- 56:32Speaker 8: act like it's just not good.
- 56:34Speaker 1: Look, I didn't read the books.
- 56:35Speaker 8: I don't know how good it could have been, So
- 56:37Speaker 8: I'm not ampered by that part, but just on a
- 56:41Speaker 8: what be on TV?
- 56:42Speaker 1: Level?
- 56:43Speaker 8: Yeah, they don't put ship like this on TV. That
- 56:47Speaker 8: was amazing.
- 56:48Speaker 7: This is Powers, That's what I mean. Like this is
- 56:50Speaker 7: it's the same thing that I get from watching Power.
- 56:53Speaker 7: It's like they don't put ship like that on TV.
- 56:56Speaker 8: The kids was peeing on themselves and throwing up, and.
- 56:59Speaker 9: They to the starts because the starts are doing that.
- 57:04Speaker 2: I'm like purposely trying to make them feel plaking their
- 57:07Speaker 2: boots and they didn't know they're making kids clicking their.
- 57:09Speaker 7: Boots Like it's crazy about the scene. It starts crumping
- 57:15Speaker 7: out there the ship.
- 57:18Speaker 1: They was getting crumped.
- 57:20Speaker 3: Boy, Hi the motherfucker and these these poor kids up,
- 57:26Speaker 3: God get it.
- 57:28Speaker 1: I would never do it. Why did it?
- 57:33Speaker 8: An't we knocking and we bucking and we run it?
- 57:35Speaker 8: And I was like, oh, these kids don't know.
- 57:42Speaker 1: Was playing on the outside of the club?
- 57:47Speaker 5: Club fuck everybody, everybody.
- 57:54Speaker 3: So so what was worse the kids being put out
- 57:56Speaker 3: frontline or the fact that the great beards and everybody
- 58:00Speaker 3: once they saw that, the kids say they was like
- 58:01Speaker 3: fuck it, smash into them.
- 58:04Speaker 9: What was worse the.
- 58:05Speaker 3: Kits here or the graper saying the main gray beard
- 58:09Speaker 3: is saying fuck it when that little kid posting little respect.
- 58:14Speaker 3: You ever played basketball with some grown man if you're
- 58:17Speaker 3: on the court, like.
- 58:20Speaker 1: Yeah, go get on the go, get on the sideline.
- 58:23Speaker 4: If you don't feel.
- 58:24Speaker 7: None of this, there will be no Graybeard slander here
- 58:28Speaker 7: like they are the greatest thing on this show. My
- 58:32Speaker 7: man said, the gates are open and we're not dead yet,
- 58:35Speaker 7: and they were all disgusted, highly discussed.
- 58:39Speaker 8: You know who wasn't worried about going to hell them?
- 58:44Speaker 1: They wouldn't have hesitated self.
- 58:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I just fight my whole eternity.
- 58:50Speaker 8: So you mean I'll be dead finally, I'll finally be dead. Cool,
- 58:54Speaker 8: that's what I'm on.
- 58:55Speaker 3: Maybe I'm naive, but I did not think he was gonna, like,
- 58:58Speaker 3: you know, clap the kid like that.
- 59:01Speaker 1: But yeah, I didn't think that. I had a half second.
- 59:03Speaker 4: No, you're not naive.
- 59:05Speaker 8: I think every single human being thought the same thing
- 59:08Speaker 8: when they saw that.
- 59:09Speaker 1: For point three seconds.
- 59:11Speaker 8: We all thought point was for point three seconds, we say,
- 59:14Speaker 8: you ain't gonna kill a kid. No, one kills a
- 59:16Speaker 8: kid with a fucking act. And then he did, and
- 59:20Speaker 8: we went, oh, yeah, that's right. I'm watching the House
- 59:22Speaker 8: of the Dragon. Of course, but it's.
- 59:24Speaker 9: Only because the kid poked him in the leg.
- 59:28Speaker 1: But there was no reason. Okay, okay, yes, there is.
- 59:32Speaker 2: No no no, and the court children to be taken out. No.
- 59:38Speaker 2: What I'm saying is you have a child combatant guy
- 59:42Speaker 2: the other army put on the table are like, I
- 59:46Speaker 2: is he gonna let the person who's gonna keep sniping
- 59:49Speaker 2: at him keep sniping at him while he's trying to
- 59:51Speaker 2: take out bigger people.
- 59:52Speaker 9: He's not hugely gonna do that.
- 59:54Speaker 1: They can't.
- 59:54Speaker 4: They killed them.
- 59:56Speaker 5: That kid might trip you next time.
- 59:58Speaker 1: Like he's gonna keep.
- 59:59Speaker 8: Sniping my stabbed me with a knife, Like they you
- 1:00:03Speaker 8: killed them kids.
- 1:00:04Speaker 4: When you put them kids in my face? Dog, that
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: was sucked up.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: You knew this was a war.
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: So the mortality, the morality aspect was on Ormond. The
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: times I've been in the park, rold Park and my
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: dad wouldn't let me play because he was like, no,
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: these dudes just got out of prison, go shoot that's
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: the kids. Because I've seen I've seen a grown man
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: beat a kid down in front of his daddy before,
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: and I went, thank you, father for not sending me
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: out there, because apparently once you entered that zone, everyone's
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: an adult. So that was on That was really on Ormond,
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: that he got them kids killed, man.
- 1:00:39Speaker 7: And the morality is on no one. There is no morality.
- 1:00:43Speaker 7: I'm sitting there hoping for him to shot that kid.
- 1:00:45Speaker 7: I was the one like for those point three seconds,
- 1:00:48Speaker 7: I was like, Oh, come on, don't let me down.
- 1:00:50Speaker 7: Show let im down, thank you, That's what I'm here for.
- 1:00:56Speaker 7: Like this kid stepped up and he got served, you know,
- 1:01:01Speaker 7: and ready to get served.
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: And then remember when Damon came Front Street with Kreis
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: and he told the kids he got the way most
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: of the movies have for like two get barbecued.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: They tried.
- 1:01:15Speaker 5: That's what I'm saying.
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: When they ran off and they ran off the moment, the.
- 1:01:23Speaker 5: Moment made.
- 1:01:26Speaker 8: They made it half eggon the christy that at least
- 1:01:30Speaker 8: that at least a little bit like well they did.
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: I did talk about what I feel like it was
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: the weirdest misuse of caraxis, Like for Damon especially to
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: do this was.
- 1:01:41Speaker 9: Like really weird to me.
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: Why would you burn down the gate crsus head is
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: already through there and leave them unburnt, like those are
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: the main sol didn't make sense. This double dracs? Why
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: was that double homicide?
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: Is there like a cool down on your karas, Like
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: I don't understand why they don't just say it's overwhelming.
- 1:02:02Speaker 8: I don't know that they thought about it, but my
- 1:02:05Speaker 8: I would feel in the fan fiction of saying maybe
- 1:02:08Speaker 8: he didn't want to start a fire that would start
- 1:02:10Speaker 8: burning everything because because they because he was still on
- 1:02:14Speaker 8: we gotta make this respectable, he was saying, for we
- 1:02:17Speaker 8: can't have Ranera's name in the street, says she burned
- 1:02:20Speaker 8: Tumbleton down. So maybe he was like dragon flame they
- 1:02:24Speaker 8: which they did, you know, Manderly and Lady Frey did
- 1:02:28Speaker 8: like throast the dragons with the like, oh you mean
- 1:02:31Speaker 8: that specific very strategic weapon of war, the dragon, which
- 1:02:35Speaker 8: was only burn the good people and the bad people not.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: So maybe that was in his head.
- 1:02:40Speaker 8: But yeah, they definitely didn't explain it, and I definitely
- 1:02:42Speaker 8: thought it in the moment was like now that the
- 1:02:43Speaker 8: war started, let's burn it down.
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: I'm just saying because if he could, that was a
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: control burn for the gate, like it was like it
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: was like the ghost rampant and whatever, like just double
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: your carros, like on's your cares get you took the
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: gate second.
- 1:02:56Speaker 8: I'm with you, But I also would have burned the
- 1:02:59Speaker 8: city down. I'm not so I don't know that.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: I'm not.
- 1:03:02Speaker 8: Yeah, I think I'm I like Damon showed a lot
- 1:03:05Speaker 8: more restraint than I would.
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: Have shown that at that moment, which was funny too,
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: because this is Damon we're talking about, and restraint and
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: him don't go in the sentence typically, So it was
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: a little weird actually too, I'm saying.
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: To the kids. The move was even like I was like, oh, wow,
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: you you.
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: If anybody I expected to clap again, it was gonna
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: be him, Like I thought that was a done deal.
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: But for him to hesitate, I was just like, what
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: is this this new leaf returning over?
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: It must be because it's started right, it's gotta be.
- 1:03:33Speaker 8: Like even the love he was showing Raino was like,
- 1:03:36Speaker 8: I'm like, who is this guy?
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: Where have you been all this time? So maybe he
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: got a new leaf.
- 1:03:42Speaker 7: A couple of things I do want to mention about
- 1:03:44Speaker 7: the battle before we move on from that. Thus, I
- 1:03:46Speaker 7: really loved I loved the whole start thing. Obviously, the
- 1:03:49Speaker 7: crump and everything, but that shot of Roderick right of
- 1:03:54Speaker 7: him running up to the wall and the camera following
- 1:03:59Speaker 7: that was incredible, like absolutely incredible directing.
- 1:04:02Speaker 5: Everything. That whole battle was really well shot. Everything.
- 1:04:06Speaker 7: Now I thought it was extremely silly and just ridiculous
- 1:04:11Speaker 7: once again, power level of you know, insanity. When Roger
- 1:04:15Speaker 7: does catch up with Ormond and gives him a good
- 1:04:18Speaker 7: fucking from the north, like, wow.
- 1:04:20Speaker 5: It is what I am here for.
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 1:04:23Speaker 5: It's also like come on.
- 1:04:30Speaker 4: No, I almost.
- 1:04:32Speaker 8: I'm almost ashamed of how much I loved it because
- 1:04:35Speaker 8: I rolled my eyes because it was so over the top,
- 1:04:38Speaker 8: and then immediately started laughing like it was the deaf
- 1:04:41Speaker 8: commie jail.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: Yeah it was. I was like, what, Oh my god.
- 1:04:46Speaker 7: He chops his arm off first, and they have the
- 1:04:49Speaker 7: reaction shot of him being like, yeah, fuck it was.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: It was very eighty in the arm he was like,
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: but he was very It was so good.
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: It was my favorite parts. He swung the arm and
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: the blood went on Ormond.
- 1:05:04Speaker 8: Yes, and that was what kill Ormond because he turned
- 1:05:08Speaker 8: he was about to turn around.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: The throw up, I know that was.
- 1:05:11Speaker 8: They didn't set that up to not let me like
- 1:05:13Speaker 8: they They delivered on that ship because he's a front
- 1:05:17Speaker 8: running man of Spere podcast ass Nigga, and I know
- 1:05:22Speaker 8: he don't got hands like that. I know he didn't
- 1:05:25Speaker 8: have hands, and they delivered on that. He didn't just
- 1:05:28Speaker 8: not have hands. He died possibly the worst death I've
- 1:05:31Speaker 8: seen in all the West Thros because my god, he
- 1:05:34Speaker 8: got it from every direct.
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: Pretty much pretty much.
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: And the foreshadowing about him having an aversion to smells
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: and and you know, all the gross things. And this
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: is what the third time he almost or led to
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: his death. This time it actually happened, but it happened
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: before when the assassins came.
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: It's even from a book standpoint that the way he's
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: supposed to go out was that. And I'm like, I mean,
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: I don't think they're gonna use it now, but if
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: they do, Surly sent me to me. There's how he's
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: supposed to go out was that they learned that he
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: has the sub version to smells. They have some of
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: the army go through the sewers of Tumbleton and then
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: pop up on his ass and they got that sewer
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: smell and he can't do.
- 1:06:17Speaker 9: That's how they take him out.
- 1:06:18Speaker 5: They did that with the assassins already, so that was
- 1:06:20Speaker 5: already used. That was like didn't work.
- 1:06:22Speaker 9: No, no, no, that that was not sewer. That was
- 1:06:24Speaker 9: just the markets.
- 1:06:25Speaker 5: Yeah, but it was already the funk. You know, it worked.
- 1:06:27Speaker 5: You know, they showed.
- 1:06:30Speaker 9: During Tumbleton like coming down though.
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: What I'm saying supposed to be like a siege on
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: Tumbleton and then they were gonna have some sneak people
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: come up through the sewers take him out.
- 1:06:39Speaker 8: While I think that's what Ben saying like it like
- 1:06:43Speaker 8: maybe that was a nod to it, and was like, oh,
- 1:06:45Speaker 8: they tried to attack him with.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: Stankies but not it didn't work.
- 1:06:49Speaker 8: So now we're gonna have them stabbed through the butt
- 1:06:52Speaker 8: and and then drag.
- 1:06:54Speaker 9: It verry unnecessary? Why everybody got to get freap.
- 1:06:58Speaker 7: It was like like like it's like it is eighties,
- 1:07:02Speaker 7: what's under siege? What's the one with U Stephen Segall
- 1:07:04Speaker 7: and Tommy Jones on the boat?
- 1:07:06Speaker 5: Like if you ever watched that Tommy Jones tastes like
- 1:07:09Speaker 5: the worst depth.
- 1:07:10Speaker 7: It is like he gets poked through the eyes right,
- 1:07:14Speaker 7: stabbed with the knife in the head and then shoved
- 1:07:16Speaker 7: into an electrical like thing.
- 1:07:18Speaker 5: It is like.
- 1:07:21Speaker 8: The other part that makes the death so epic is
- 1:07:24Speaker 8: that Roddy wants to die and sees the dragon coming
- 1:07:27Speaker 8: and it's like, yeah.
- 1:07:28Speaker 7: With his one hand dreams of better fucking death than this.
- 1:07:35Speaker 8: I stabbed you through the butt and now I get
- 1:07:37Speaker 8: by dragon. They gonna talk about.
- 1:07:39Speaker 7: Me forever and I delivered in eighties that trade.
- 1:07:45Speaker 8: Like they are winnfl Cat Daddy's is just out there
- 1:07:48Speaker 8: for clout dog.
- 1:07:50Speaker 5: That's it.
- 1:07:54Speaker 7: I mean, what bigger r farm was that? Like that
- 1:07:57Speaker 7: was one arm cheering for your demid after you just
- 1:08:01Speaker 7: told the nigga, I gave you a good fucking so
- 1:08:04Speaker 7: that's the last thing you're thinking about is this. And
- 1:08:06Speaker 7: then you know, then you realize, oh, somehow magical he
- 1:08:10Speaker 7: sees you from the.
- 1:08:11Speaker 5: Top of the track.
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: You too, Yes again, just just just just a track
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: trable Tumbledon's terrible harble, no good, very bad day.
- 1:08:27Speaker 9: A lot of tumbles and something god damn.
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: And then and then you know, the whole thing about
- 1:08:31Speaker 3: like I said, I found it weird, Like you know, Damon,
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: it was like, oh, we can't sell you the queen's name.
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: And then when he realized, oh ship, it's too It
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: happened anyway when he was going when he was fighting home.
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: First of all, that fight was ridiculous because I've never
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: really seen John Yo. I never seen nobody give Damon
- 1:08:48Speaker 3: a run for his money.
- 1:08:49Speaker 8: I knew John Chris did, but he has hands. But
- 1:08:53Speaker 8: John Roxton, I knew he had hands. I'm telling you
- 1:08:57Speaker 8: how I knew when they fought the mercenaries on the fly.
- 1:09:01Speaker 8: He disin bowed the nigga to the nuts. I've never
- 1:09:05Speaker 8: seen no ship like that before. That was some berserk
- 1:09:08Speaker 8: but like the that was like some some anime ship.
- 1:09:12Speaker 8: And I beat that and I was like this, don't
- 1:09:15Speaker 8: Eve might have hands and he kind of dig so
- 1:09:18Speaker 8: he was tossing Damon ass around like that was different now,
- 1:09:23Speaker 8: like Cole kind of outstoled him. They had like some
- 1:09:26Speaker 8: little crossovers and ship. This was all like shock diesel
- 1:09:29Speaker 8: power ship that he.
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: Did to that.
- 1:09:31Speaker 8: Man, I was scared for Damon that I haven't been
- 1:09:34Speaker 8: scared for Damon in a long time.
- 1:09:35Speaker 6: I was.
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: I thought the plot armor would always protect him. John
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: got a hold up. I said, I don't know, Flaker,
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: this might criising death to night.
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: He got his likearing he had who's hearing bells and
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: whatever and like and then the wall comes down to
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: make even worse. I think it was very interesting that
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: Damon is on the receiving end of dragon fire for
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: the first and that's kind of like it was kind
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: of a saving thing because it did block rocks in
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: from him.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: But it also was like the way that he looks.
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: How distrat he is, how he's like he's just oriented
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: how he's trying to like being people he sees are
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: other like people who are victims of this, people who
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: are just like town Spoke the first people he sees,
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: and he just like not acquainted with what's going on.
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: And then whenever we finally do get him stepping back
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: into himself, it's because the man who's been his go
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: to fighting partner for such a long time, who he
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: just dissed not twenty minutes ago, is the one who
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: pulls him out of his blood rush of like going
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: into the like the last people he sees an armor
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: on either side, and I think what we see from Damon, Like,
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: I don't know what he's gonna take from this, but
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: he's definitely gonna take a different way of thinking about battle.
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: Then he went into this thinking because we saw him
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: giving that speech to the goal Old Cloaks, what happened
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: with the Gold Cloaks. We saw him giving the speech
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: before all this started, Like he's been waiting his whole
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: life for this moment. He gets that moment, and then
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: here he is about to get knocked out, taken out
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: by Roxton, then also dragonfire by again a dragon out
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: supposed to be on his side that he screwed up
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: or whatever, and now he only gets pulled out of
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: it because correl iss them and he just dissed extra
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: Crazy is.
- 1:11:25Speaker 9: The one he pulls him out.
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: So there's I don't think there's a way that you're
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: damon like and don't come out of this different. I
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: think that the rain of stuff, like you mentioned, Rod
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: is like it doesn't like it's changed him some and
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: I feel like this is going to move him a
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: little bit more somewhere else.
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: Where that is I don't know.
- 1:11:41Speaker 8: Yeah, he also, I think had to grasp with the failure.
- 1:11:46Speaker 8: He's looking around failure, we did not this is not
- 1:11:50Speaker 8: the plan, correct. I think the other thing he had
- 1:11:53Speaker 8: to grasp with in that moment. I wonder if he's thinking, like,
- 1:11:58Speaker 8: will Ray still get blamed for this because as far
- 1:12:00Speaker 8: as the world knows, Off is their dragon Rider.
- 1:12:03Speaker 5: Yeah, like the world don't know about it.
- 1:12:05Speaker 8: Orman didn't even tell like Darren and GWayne about the ship.
- 1:12:08Speaker 8: So like when Off went off the white working class
- 1:12:13Speaker 8: and decided that he was gonna burn both sides down,
- 1:12:16Speaker 8: burn it all down.
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: It that's gonna be on that's coming back to Kings
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: landing with them, I.
- 1:12:23Speaker 3: Think, And that is actually one of the points I
- 1:12:26Speaker 3: was gonna It's similar to the point I was gonna.
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: Make that at the end of the day, a dragon
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: did it.
- 1:12:31Speaker 3: The dragon is the sign, symbol, and legacy of the house,
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: right and no matter what, no matter who's side.
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: All people see is a dragon.
- 1:12:39Speaker 3: Just like that that joke that the the royals hadn't
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: made about it not being in you know, not being
- 1:12:46Speaker 3: a precise weapon. The fact is, like, no one's going
- 1:12:49Speaker 3: to care when the dragon first pulled up and they
- 1:12:52Speaker 3: thought that, you know, you heard the the hordes cheering
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: so happy, and then next thing they you know, barbecue
- 1:12:59Speaker 3: And it's just like in that same and that's how
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: the common folk and the small folk rather see that.
- 1:13:04Speaker 3: Like in any instance, they can come back on me,
- 1:13:06Speaker 3: and at the end of the day, this is gonna
- 1:13:08Speaker 3: come back on me nearer, right, regardless we see. You know,
- 1:13:11Speaker 3: if the Masons write the story about what happened at Tumbleton,
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: maybe they saw both sides, they're gonna say, oh, well,
- 1:13:16Speaker 3: both sides got lit up.
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: But at the end of the day, what lit it up?
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: A dragon? Whose dragon was it? The nearest starting It's
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: just a dragon.
- 1:13:25Speaker 3: It is what it is, And at the end of
- 1:13:27Speaker 3: the day, no one's going to be thinking about the
- 1:13:29Speaker 3: intricacies and the betrayals and the trees is no one
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: even knows that the Masons's do right that betrayed sides
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: like okay, good they turncoat again.
- 1:13:40Speaker 5: People can read.
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: Yeah, and also like what they write.
- 1:13:48Speaker 8: I wonder how much of that is like an understanding
- 1:13:50Speaker 8: of like what people would know then and what people
- 1:13:53Speaker 8: know in the future, you know, like the King James
- 1:13:56Speaker 8: at the time in the realm, was everybody like yeah,
- 1:13:59Speaker 8: we understand or is it like something that just like no,
- 1:14:02Speaker 8: this is what really happened, and then we're reading it
- 1:14:04Speaker 8: hundreds of years later, like no, this is the truth?
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: Right is way too.
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: I'm gonna I'm saying this from okay, So the book
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: tells you from the perspective of masters who were around
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: around the time that the stuff is unfolding. So they
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: are masters who are currently like drotting stuff down about
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: what's coming down the pike or whatever. But again, like
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: I said last season, whenever the Amens put fire upon
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: Agon and the story, they don't say it that way,
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: like the Master's never wrote it that like that was
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: Aimons trying to take out Agon like it was a
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: whole There's a whole different way to describes that. So
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: what the masters know, what they decide, like who they're
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: gonna put in history books.
- 1:14:45Speaker 9: Those are two different things.
- 1:14:47Speaker 3: And no one's gonna care because they're holding their dead
- 1:14:49Speaker 3: kid in their hand, burns from dragonfire. And then what
- 1:14:53Speaker 3: the what the master wrote because I'm suffering or I've
- 1:14:56Speaker 3: suffered because of this because of an a dragon right,
- 1:14:58Speaker 3: no one says, oh, well that was Ormon's.
- 1:15:00Speaker 5: Dreg No nigguy, I can't read.
- 1:15:02Speaker 4: I can't read right, and I'm angry.
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: Just to round out that situation.
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: Also just really important one and again this goes to
- 1:15:12Speaker 3: the people who, like who were so upset that we
- 1:15:15Speaker 3: talked about Corliss so much. Corlis is the one that
- 1:15:17Speaker 3: convinces Damon to leave. He says, we are leaving as
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: you know, us as a house, as a unit, as
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: a record label.
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: We have to go. We lost this city.
- 1:15:26Speaker 3: And it's interesting because you know, all signs point too,
- 1:15:31Speaker 3: like no one was in favor of Corliss in terms
- 1:15:33Speaker 3: of no one was there to help him, at least verbally.
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: Damon was like, oh, I'm gonna take he's my prisoner, right.
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: He just meant he got hands on him, but it
- 1:15:41Speaker 3: just didn't feel like he had any if you want
- 1:15:44Speaker 3: to say allies in it.
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: Corliss was you know, he was a dead Bee or
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: is the dead Bee father?
- 1:15:51Speaker 3: He was this, He was that, he was that, And
- 1:15:52Speaker 3: at the end of the day, he's like, we gotta
- 1:15:54Speaker 3: go because he's the one who pulls Damon out of that,
- 1:15:58Speaker 3: because Damon was going battle crazy at that point and
- 1:16:00Speaker 3: he was like, we gotta go.
- 1:16:02Speaker 9: I just feel like what Corliss represents and this episode
- 1:16:06Speaker 9: was very interesting. I enjoyed it because we actually see
- 1:16:09Speaker 9: Corliss as a strategic mind in this episode whenever he
- 1:16:13Speaker 9: whenever GWayne comes a treat with them for peace, and
- 1:16:16Speaker 9: Corlis is like, I did not know he's gonna come
- 1:16:18Speaker 9: out here with this bullshit plan. I think you're Damon,
- 1:16:21Speaker 9: I know you, I know how you like to move,
- 1:16:23Speaker 9: but I'm gonna try as the king, as the Queen's
- 1:16:27Speaker 9: hand to make some sense out of this arrangement right now,
- 1:16:31Speaker 9: like him being king, that's never gonna fly. We both
- 1:16:35Speaker 9: acknowledge that, but also like you can't sit over here
- 1:16:38Speaker 9: and say that, making him lord paramount would not work
- 1:16:40Speaker 9: for in our favor. Like I do understand one hundred percent.
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: Why Damon made his decision though, because Corlis was trying
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: to play middle ground.
- 1:16:49Speaker 9: There is no middle ground.
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: When you declare yourself for the seat, it's over, like
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: either you're gonna win the seat or you're not.
- 1:16:54Speaker 5: Like there's no you.
- 1:16:55Speaker 9: Gotta die or you gotta get it. There's no other
- 1:16:57Speaker 9: way to go.
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: So Corlis was doing his best to be middleman and
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: Queen's hand, but at the same time it just was
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: never gonna work. But I did love that corlis Is
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: point of view was there is a way for us
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: to get through this, and I think that alf going
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: off the way he did very much solidified. Like so
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: you see Corliss see all and then the crowd go quiet,
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: like they get.
- 1:17:27Speaker 9: Burned or whatever.
- 1:17:28Speaker 2: He's ready to go because he's like he doesn't trust it.
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: Initially he's just kind of like wary, and then he
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: just moved.
- 1:17:36Speaker 9: He's ready to go.
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: As soon as he's ready to go. He knows how
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: fickled the dragons can be, whoever rides the dragons can be.
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: So I really like that we see Corliss and the
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: like he actually like whenever Ormond was like giving him
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: his props. Ormond was giving his props like episodes ago,
- 1:17:51Speaker 2: Coles actually makes a decent advisor when he's not in
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: his pride too much. And you notice how like Damon
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: kind of like winks at him or kind of like
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: smart like smirks whenever.
- 1:18:02Speaker 9: Cool.
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: This says we could like wed Darren to Raina because
- 1:18:07Speaker 2: he like, for a minute, Damon's gonna like that's like
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: it's a legit plan. If only Darren had not claimed
- 1:18:13Speaker 2: that he was born for the throne, Like this could
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: have been a whole different conversation, like when we're near
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: first went for the for the crowd, like a whole
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: different thing.
- 1:18:22Speaker 4: I like how much Damon is so in a different
- 1:18:25Speaker 4: mindset because he's literally like why are you even suggesting this?
- 1:18:29Speaker 8: And like for peace, so so we don't go in
- 1:18:32Speaker 8: there and kill everybody, like like why would I need
- 1:18:38Speaker 8: money or why would I need to get something out
- 1:18:40Speaker 8: of this? Damon said, I pulled out all my guns.
- 1:18:43Speaker 8: We are shooting tonight, but that was.
- 1:18:47Speaker 7: The crazy ship. He's like, you know, what do you want?
- 1:18:50Speaker 7: You know, he's or a bunch of dead dudes and he's.
- 1:18:55Speaker 3: High towers and particular that Yeah, you know, damon, if
- 1:18:58Speaker 3: one people, one gang, he don't fuck with, he don't
- 1:19:00Speaker 3: funk with the High Tower. Ye, that's like asking a kid,
- 1:19:03Speaker 3: you sure you don't want this, you know, bag of candy,
- 1:19:05Speaker 3: Like absolutely want dead high Towers.
- 1:19:09Speaker 8: As soon as he said that, I feel like everyone
- 1:19:11Speaker 8: at home Field in the blank like, good, yeah, that
- 1:19:15Speaker 8: was you shouldn't.
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: Have said that, said that and I don't care about that.
- 1:19:19Speaker 7: Yeah, and yeah, and to add on to what you
- 1:19:21Speaker 7: said out there, and since this is our final episode
- 1:19:23Speaker 7: of the season, because people have you know, a couple
- 1:19:26Speaker 7: of commentators have had a lot to say about how
- 1:19:28Speaker 7: we talked about corders, I just feel like the writers,
- 1:19:31Speaker 7: you know, in general, just like refrain Neer, have not
- 1:19:34Speaker 7: done Corlis any service. Like one commentator in particular, you know,
- 1:19:38Speaker 7: hashes out cords is history every goddamn time, you know,
- 1:19:42Speaker 7: they leave a comment, they write ten paragraphs about it.
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: And and we appreciate that, but yeah, I understand we
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: don't see it on show.
- 1:19:49Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't see it on screen.
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: That's a good man, Savannah. Yeah, okay, between sage good man.
- 1:19:58Speaker 8: Okay, he's a good black man. He trying his best Okay,
- 1:20:03Speaker 8: white people kidnapping them. He trying to make it work.
- 1:20:05Speaker 8: He's trying to get peace.
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: Okay, he's he's just doing what he can do.
- 1:20:09Speaker 8: Work at work, guys, Okay, he's maybe he don't have
- 1:20:13Speaker 8: a time machine. He can't go back and raise his baskets. Okay,
- 1:20:16Speaker 8: but from this point on he could beat their daddy.
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: So I hear.
- 1:20:20Speaker 8: Don't come in my mentions people that be mad about it. Okay,
- 1:20:24Speaker 8: I'm on y'all side. Whatever side it is that.
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: I don't know about.
- 1:20:27Speaker 7: It's like sides that's the craziest.
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: What's what side if they leave in comments?
- 1:20:34Speaker 4: I just don't want. I don't want the replies. Guys.
- 1:20:36Speaker 4: I'm not I'm not worth it.
- 1:20:39Speaker 3: But you got one person you got to mention that
- 1:20:41Speaker 3: was actually useless to any side. Q.
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: He did nothing, his dragon did nothing.
- 1:20:47Speaker 4: They were just yeah, one job at one job.
- 1:20:51Speaker 5: Again, the writing with these characters is.
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: So like it it doesn't make it. And all this
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: just to go find kat who's away?
- 1:21:00Speaker 8: Well, okay, all right, I have to be the one
- 1:21:04Speaker 8: to do this. Every time I see we've done this
- 1:21:07Speaker 8: before with uh doctor Strange. I can relate to the
- 1:21:12Speaker 8: idea of I'm gonna.
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: Go get my wife'.
- 1:21:17Speaker 8: Like he like, he was like, now that the swords
- 1:21:20Speaker 8: are at the gate, Like I understand in his mind
- 1:21:24Speaker 8: how brave it was to be like, fuck a dragon,
- 1:21:27Speaker 8: fucking war, I'm on one mission. Call me, Hugh mc himmer,
- 1:21:31Speaker 8: because have you seen her. I'm looking for my woman,
- 1:21:36Speaker 8: and I could give a damn about your woman and
- 1:21:38Speaker 8: your woman and your wife. It's stupid. Of course it's stupid.
- 1:21:42Speaker 8: But this is one of the few times where the
- 1:21:43Speaker 8: stupidity has written.
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: It to the character.
- 1:21:45Speaker 8: Why where I'm like, yeah, he would do that stupid
- 1:21:47Speaker 8: shit like this, This is exactly he was trying to.
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: Kidnap her last time. That's what he didn't want to go.
- 1:21:54Speaker 8: And he was like, if it was at for motherfucker security,
- 1:21:57Speaker 8: I would knock your ass out like a kN and
- 1:22:00Speaker 8: carry you back to the fucking kingsland, and so like
- 1:22:02Speaker 8: his motivation made sense to me, But of course it
- 1:22:07Speaker 8: was stupid, Like there's no like, it's not defensible. This
- 1:22:10Speaker 8: is what happened when you put people on dragons, does
- 1:22:13Speaker 8: not fucking soldiers and dragon people. They just niggas from
- 1:22:17Speaker 8: the block that you gave again and now and you're like,
- 1:22:20Speaker 8: I can't believe he's not doing the the fucking Seal
- 1:22:23Speaker 8: Team six.
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: Shit. No, him and all are not supposed to be there.
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: I just think the character ever all, like the character
- 1:22:29Speaker 2: story for you is they're like there's a waste of
- 1:22:34Speaker 2: dragon time, Like for me, like it's like they could
- 1:22:37Speaker 2: be doing some interesting stuff with him, like the whole
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: Cat like for him to be in that place of
- 1:22:43Speaker 2: like he does not feel like I was when he
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: heard directly from Cat's mouth, I went through some shit
- 1:22:50Speaker 2: on King's Road, literally assault, and his first move after
- 1:22:54Speaker 2: that was to yoke her up like I need. That
- 1:22:57Speaker 2: was when I was like, I can't even I can't
- 1:23:00Speaker 2: go with him on this journey where he cares so
- 1:23:02Speaker 2: much about his wife, because if he cared that much
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: about her, he'd even like, well, shit, maybe I need
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: to spend some time with my wife, Like maybe I
- 1:23:09Speaker 2: need to sit in Templeton for a minute, see if
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: I can kind of evade what's going on with the
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: high towers and trying to get my wife, because like
- 1:23:16Speaker 2: she she don't need me to come in here on
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: some grabby grabs staff and grab energy.
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: She needs me.
- 1:23:21Speaker 9: So if he actually like that's my biggest I mean, he's.
- 1:23:24Speaker 4: Not a good person, but I think we established.
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: If you were a wife guy, be the wife guy.
- 1:23:30Speaker 9: He's not a patriarchical like I'm the head of the
- 1:23:34Speaker 9: household guy.
- 1:23:36Speaker 8: Yeah, that's and I think they established that the first
- 1:23:39Speaker 8: season with the like the dad being sick like this,
- 1:23:42Speaker 8: Like I said to me, I would, I'm not even
- 1:23:44Speaker 8: frustrated by this because it's so like, this.
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: Is who he was.
- 1:23:48Speaker 8: This is the ultimate moment of him being who we
- 1:23:52Speaker 8: have said he was, unless you just stop paying attention,
- 1:23:56Speaker 8: like hopefully no one's writing in the y'all like about Court,
- 1:23:58Speaker 8: like they do about Hugh, like they with a Callers.
- 1:24:00Speaker 8: Because I feel like the show has been so consistent
- 1:24:02Speaker 8: that when I when.
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: They panned over him, I said, Yea, here he go
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: with his bullshit.
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: And you're right, he said that he had change, like
- 1:24:10Speaker 2: someone find out why he's here, Like, what is doing
- 1:24:13Speaker 2: pulling up?
- 1:24:14Speaker 3: He's not gonna pull up. I mean, when we knew
- 1:24:15Speaker 3: he was gonna pull up, it wasn't it wasn't straight treason.
- 1:24:17Speaker 3: It was just you're just not doing your fucking job.
- 1:24:19Speaker 3: But to the point being made, it has been consistent
- 1:24:22Speaker 3: since the beginning. But and to the other thing you
- 1:24:26Speaker 3: were saying portion about this, you know, being mired in patriarchy,
- 1:24:29Speaker 3: and it's just interesting.
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: Like the wife said that, she was just like, we
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: needed you.
- 1:24:34Speaker 3: We didn't need you to go get the dragon and
- 1:24:36Speaker 3: get a house and the name and all this other bullshit.
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: We needed you.
- 1:24:39Speaker 3: And you know, for someone who was supposed to be
- 1:24:42Speaker 3: like soul, tethered to family and being a father and
- 1:24:46Speaker 3: being the head of household, you would think that you
- 1:24:48Speaker 3: would have never went to go get this dragon in
- 1:24:50Speaker 3: the first motherfucking place.
- 1:24:51Speaker 8: All right, he ain't been enough therapy, you know what
- 1:24:53Speaker 8: I'm saying. They don't got they don't got talk space
- 1:24:55Speaker 8: in west Rows.
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: You know, he just thinks, well, if I'm gonna do this,
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna be our lives better. It was like a
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: dragon nigga.
- 1:25:00Speaker 2: You know what Helena should have been if they had
- 1:25:03Speaker 2: have just put made Helena a therapist, right, hear me out?
- 1:25:06Speaker 9: She she got hold up in her room. She didn't
- 1:25:09Speaker 9: get to touch grass.
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: But say she had been like able to see the
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: small folk and in a chamber or whatever, just to
- 1:25:17Speaker 2: see what's going on in the world outside, maybe she
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: would have wanted to stick around longer. She would have
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: had like a little crew of people that she actually
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: cared about, and not her family who's been on some
- 1:25:27Speaker 2: ship this whole time.
- 1:25:28Speaker 4: Helena.
- 1:25:29Speaker 8: Helena ain't like being outside though with them people. I
- 1:25:32Speaker 8: remember when they bore it to the city loud, and.
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: They were loud and doing the most if it was
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: just one on one therapy time.
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: You know what I mean. I relate Helen.
- 1:25:41Speaker 8: I relate to Helena like I'm gonna stay here in
- 1:25:44Speaker 8: the air condition, y'all could do whatever they like. I'm
- 1:25:48Speaker 8: gonna go play with caterpillars and my kids and just y'all,
- 1:25:51Speaker 8: y'all be on that whatever that is.
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: Shout out to the butterflies at the end. That was sad.
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: That was sad. That was that was beautiful food was
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: so sad.
- 1:26:01Speaker 7: Damn Helena's spirit right, the butterflies are that same caterpillar
- 1:26:05Speaker 7: that her lady right.
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: Yeah, yep said that's her spirit being released. Yeah, like
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: her mama gonna look back on that moment, be like,
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: that's my mother was looking. Like even her mom knew
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: something was up.
- 1:26:17Speaker 7: Her mom.
- 1:26:17Speaker 8: Yeah, as I call it Ali Berry because she's a
- 1:26:21Speaker 8: bad mom. She only takes the role of bad mom.
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: She's a terrible mother.
- 1:26:30Speaker 3: But but yes, just just to close this out again,
- 1:26:32Speaker 3: this whole hairnd Hall thing and one of the last
- 1:26:34Speaker 3: things that was the fun Like I said, this was
- 1:26:35Speaker 3: the funniest episode ever when Eggon pulled up on Amon
- 1:26:41Speaker 3: on some fire and called that nigga an embecile.
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: I was flopping, rolling.
- 1:26:47Speaker 9: Slap like.
- 1:26:48Speaker 5: I just walked up, like, walked all the way across.
- 1:26:51Speaker 8: There, just top I hate to love it. When the
- 1:26:55Speaker 8: dragon landed and coughed, yeah, bruh, bruh. I was not
- 1:27:01Speaker 8: ready that kid can act. That kid whoever that.
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: He's a beast?
- 1:27:07Speaker 5: Is he playing Linco and Zelda.
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: Darren? Is that's Darren?
- 1:27:13Speaker 5: Damn it?
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: Yeah, ain't ready.
- 1:27:17Speaker 4: You ain't ready for that kind of energy for link
- 1:27:18Speaker 4: No slapped the ship out again.
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: It was very but but Agon's energy was very two
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: face joker in that moment too.
- 1:27:26Speaker 5: He's my favorite. That was incredible.
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: God that I'm alive. There's one thing that that this
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: season has had is a lot of great one liners,
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: right this one like this Street pointed that so that
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: Alixe Rivers said, who is she?
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: He didn't even look, but he didn't he pointed no,
- 1:27:49Speaker 2: he kept it, pointed aiming until he said myntros and
- 1:27:52Speaker 2: he said okay.
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: He was holding no sword sideways like a gun. God.
- 1:28:00Speaker 5: That was great.
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: And then that situation, Amon just being real calm with it.
- 1:28:09Speaker 3: And then you know, Alice telling her story about how
- 1:28:11Speaker 3: she became a you know, the wicked witch of the West.
- 1:28:14Speaker 2: I still notice how like, okay, does Amon have a
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: mother problem?
- 1:28:18Speaker 9: Yes, we all know this.
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: Notice notice how ready he was to jump her bones
- 1:28:23Speaker 2: once he found out how old she was.
- 1:28:26Speaker 9: He's like, oh, that was like hundreds of years ago,
- 1:28:30Speaker 9: like he.
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: Was, she's old, she's old.
- 1:28:32Speaker 8: And in that time she's revealing she's a mother. She's
- 1:28:35Speaker 8: actually hitting both. She's like, I'm an old ass mom,
- 1:28:38Speaker 8: Like I'm a guilt He was like hold up.
- 1:28:41Speaker 9: He was like, now, you didn't tell me that before.
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: Why didn't you say that?
- 1:28:44Speaker 4: Shit, don't turn into my mama.
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: Just say just do this. Just tell me you old
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: and you lost a kid.
- 1:28:52Speaker 4: It's go ahead, truth, Ben, tell them how you feel.
- 1:28:59Speaker 5: I'm I've been said that I'm a fan of Alice Rivers.
- 1:29:02Speaker 5: I still say that.
- 1:29:03Speaker 7: But what I just wanted to point out that we're
- 1:29:06Speaker 7: speaking about jumping bones like last week when aiming right, Yeah,
- 1:29:10Speaker 7: when one I was sleeping with her. It wasn't the
- 1:29:12Speaker 7: fact that it was the fact that, you know, he
- 1:29:15Speaker 7: sees his mom, but he was already sleeping with her.
- 1:29:18Speaker 7: Like they're already fucking because Alice says, what did you see?
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: It wouldn't even mean to do that.
- 1:29:23Speaker 4: She didn't even know.
- 1:29:24Speaker 5: Put that on him.
- 1:29:25Speaker 7: This man just loves his mom, right, and yeah, so
- 1:29:28Speaker 7: I just wanted to point that out that they've been fucking.
- 1:29:30Speaker 5: You know, it wasn't like you know this.
- 1:29:32Speaker 8: And it's probably fire one hundred years of like she
- 1:29:35Speaker 8: it's probably fied. She knows some stuff, one hundred years
- 1:29:39Speaker 8: a lot of experience, It's all I'm saying. I who knows,
- 1:29:42Speaker 8: she's probably got some chewa gun tricks and doing stuff
- 1:29:45Speaker 8: in the back.
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:29:46Speaker 4: Like that's two.
- 1:29:47Speaker 8: I wouldn't want to be turned out by one hundred
- 1:29:49Speaker 8: year old Gil, but I kind of would want to
- 1:29:51Speaker 8: be turned out.
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: I feel like we all do.
- 1:29:54Speaker 7: I'm I'm I'm an Alis Rivers fan. I've said it before,
- 1:29:57Speaker 7: I'll say it again, right, you know Rock Season. I
- 1:30:01Speaker 7: see the vision, man have vision, But I respect your ambition, really,
- 1:30:06Speaker 7: but you got to have vision.
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: I see the vision like that's I'm not with this ageism.
- 1:30:11Speaker 9: You know what I'm saying, I'm not ancient.
- 1:30:13Speaker 2: The only ancient thing I've ever been attracted to you
- 1:30:16Speaker 2: was Eric Northman, and that was.
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: He was everybody.
- 1:30:22Speaker 5: That's come on man and like, yeah.
- 1:30:30Speaker 8: I'm not the crazy person for being okay with it.
- 1:30:32Speaker 8: They're the crazy person for woman to have sex with me.
- 1:30:35Speaker 8: Like it was like, I'm not wrong if Eric Norman
- 1:30:39Speaker 8: wants to fuck you, Like like, what's wrong with him?
- 1:30:43Speaker 8: You've been around for four hundred years, buddy, Like, of
- 1:30:46Speaker 8: course I'm never gonna.
- 1:30:47Speaker 4: Win an argument, you know every thing.
- 1:30:53Speaker 5: Look, I like to be educated. Bring that I learn.
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: I don't even know what that's a handsome woman, ben Okay,
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: I like him a hand woman.
- 1:31:03Speaker 5: You know what I mean. I grew up on you know,
- 1:31:04Speaker 5: the Sigourney.
- 1:31:06Speaker 8: Weavers, the this is nineteen four, dog, I guess you
- 1:31:11Speaker 8: would have she be the star House of the Dragon
- 1:31:14Speaker 8: getting tied to a train track.
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: Track with the daid she could a train ran.
- 1:31:23Speaker 5: What do we got too far?
- 1:31:25Speaker 10: She got?
- 1:31:27Speaker 5: Okay?
- 1:31:28Speaker 4: Okay, nineteen like the Silent movies.
- 1:31:32Speaker 5: Yes, she would have been a star in the Silent movies.
- 1:31:34Speaker 4: Absolutely not my type.
- 1:31:36Speaker 3: So anyways, listen, we at the end, bro, So I
- 1:31:40Speaker 3: don't know how many more seasons is coming.
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: I don't want one.
- 1:31:45Speaker 5: One last one. My man Dwayne, as much I love him,
- 1:31:48Speaker 5: also an idiot this episode.
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: It was he an idiot though, because like he did
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: was smart as fun.
- 1:31:58Speaker 2: But the.
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: First thing he did was doing he tried to.
- 1:32:06Speaker 9: Himself was not smart.
- 1:32:08Speaker 8: Yeah, of course, and they didn't have to have Damon
- 1:32:10Speaker 8: yoke him up like that. But the camera angle, why
- 1:32:17Speaker 8: they make the camera angle like like this?
- 1:32:21Speaker 4: They have a camera cut.
- 1:32:27Speaker 3: Poor ride uh while while while the King of the
- 1:32:31Speaker 3: Drinkers figures out his vision there, I gotta ask yourself
- 1:32:36Speaker 3: vision and this and then we'll get back to because
- 1:32:38Speaker 3: I want his opinion too. I don't even you know,
- 1:32:41Speaker 3: this will never make sense that you know, the season
- 1:32:43Speaker 3: is gone, the story is gone. They've they've and I
- 1:32:46Speaker 3: understand why Georgia R pulled out Now I kind of
- 1:32:48Speaker 3: understand that this is what he read it like.
- 1:32:52Speaker 2: That makes me feel like it's like a sex thing
- 1:32:53Speaker 2: where he was like he was. But let me let
- 1:32:57Speaker 2: me rephrase.
- 1:32:58Speaker 3: I kind of understand why he said this because I
- 1:33:00Speaker 3: don't he like he can finish a book.
- 1:33:05Speaker 9: Can't he has finished books. Has he finished a series this.
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: Book, you know series, but I get his his thing
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: about this end of the day.
- 1:33:14Speaker 3: Also, have we also learned like just because you're the
- 1:33:16Speaker 3: original creator, when it gets translated to different mediums, you
- 1:33:19Speaker 3: know you you are not it's not going to be
- 1:33:21Speaker 3: but your vision and.
- 1:33:23Speaker 2: Georgia Martins and I don't need to take it for
- 1:33:25Speaker 2: old white man at all. But he also is a screenwriter,
- 1:33:29Speaker 2: so like it's not like he's not he is. He's
- 1:33:32Speaker 2: screenwritten before his shows.
- 1:33:34Speaker 3: Got Yeah, and I'm not talking about him and since
- 1:33:37Speaker 3: so I'm not talking about his his his uh skills,
- 1:33:40Speaker 3: I'm just talking about the fat.
- 1:33:43Speaker 2: What I'm saying is him having distaste enough to be
- 1:33:47Speaker 2: like I'm removing myself comes from like multiple layers. It's
- 1:33:50Speaker 2: not just like, oh, they're not achieving the vision that
- 1:33:52Speaker 2: I put forth in my book. He's been part of
- 1:33:55Speaker 2: the stories like being screenwritten for the screen.
- 1:33:58Speaker 9: He does not fuck with where it's going. So it's
- 1:34:02Speaker 9: like there's he's.
- 1:34:03Speaker 4: Gonna be honest as a not book reader. I'll never
- 1:34:07Speaker 4: forgive him.
- 1:34:08Speaker 8: I'll never forgive him because if he would have just
- 1:34:11Speaker 8: finished writing the other books, the other series wouldn't.
- 1:34:14Speaker 4: Have fell off.
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: So he.
- 1:34:21Speaker 5: Make that ship.
- 1:34:23Speaker 4: I'm sure, I'm sure of it.
- 1:34:25Speaker 8: Like they were the everything people praised is when he
- 1:34:29Speaker 8: had written the ship already everything people praise. The second
- 1:34:33Speaker 8: they ran out of his ship, it was like, I
- 1:34:35Speaker 8: don't know. Terran probably would just be like what up.
- 1:34:38Speaker 8: It's like, no, Nope, he wouldn't. And George gave them
- 1:34:42Speaker 8: a fucking outline. As a procrastinator, I know about these things.
- 1:34:47Speaker 8: That's not that's not good enough, George, And you can't
- 1:34:49Speaker 8: be mad at them for not being able to create
- 1:34:52Speaker 8: your vision off of a fucking outline. Dude, It's just
- 1:34:54Speaker 8: not the same. And so I don't have as much
- 1:34:57Speaker 8: sympathy for it. Man, I do, and I'm a right
- 1:35:00Speaker 8: on myself. I understand precious stuff is your babies, But
- 1:35:03Speaker 8: in a creative process like this, other people have a
- 1:35:05Speaker 8: job and they have to contribute to it as well.
- 1:35:08Speaker 8: You don't get to control and dominate the vision. So
- 1:35:11Speaker 8: when it's up, it's up for everybody. But when it's down,
- 1:35:15Speaker 8: George be like, that's y'all, and I think that's I
- 1:35:18Speaker 8: don't respect it.
- 1:35:18Speaker 2: I feel like he learned that from last season though,
- 1:35:20Speaker 2: I mean from Game my Thrones though, because he was
- 1:35:22Speaker 2: like he was still kind of championing the like show
- 1:35:26Speaker 2: or whatever, even whenever it went away from the book, like,
- 1:35:28Speaker 2: oh no, he was like, keep on going, like it's
- 1:35:29Speaker 2: still gonna be good.
- 1:35:30Speaker 9: Like I didn't finish the books, that's fine.
- 1:35:32Speaker 2: I feel like he had for me what I feel
- 1:35:35Speaker 2: like we I think I looked it up at one
- 1:35:37Speaker 2: point to double check. I'm pretty sure the last episodes
- 1:35:40Speaker 2: that were off book, but still I could tell that
- 1:35:42Speaker 2: George had a hand in were like the one with
- 1:35:44Speaker 2: Holdor and the one where.
- 1:35:46Speaker 9: It was like the battle with the White Walkers, like
- 1:35:49Speaker 9: with the Wilding.
- 1:35:50Speaker 2: It's like before the last seasons, and I'm like, you
- 1:35:52Speaker 2: could tell George had written in those, So I'm with you, like, yeah,
- 1:35:56Speaker 2: the story does feel so much better.
- 1:35:58Speaker 9: And Richard, whenever George.
- 1:36:00Speaker 8: You'd be writing long blog posts, write an episode, my god,
- 1:36:04Speaker 8: like write the book.
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: I don't care live journal. Yeah, dude, I'm sorry that
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: you're going through whatever you're going through.
- 1:36:10Speaker 9: Doing a lot of stuff outside of Gamers.
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: I know you could tell.
- 1:36:14Speaker 8: You could tell from the quality of the stuff that
- 1:36:17Speaker 8: he got other ship going on.
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: Now, it's it is what it is, like, I ain't
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: even mad at them.
- 1:36:22Speaker 8: I'm not down on the show as much as other
- 1:36:24Speaker 8: people are, but it's just him complaining.
- 1:36:26Speaker 4: It just feels weird. It's just like all right, bro ship.
- 1:36:30Speaker 2: I feel like for me in particular, it's like it's
- 1:36:34Speaker 2: it's it's annoying because this is already written, Like we're
- 1:36:37Speaker 2: not even like we're even like halfway through the book
- 1:36:41Speaker 2: that he's already fully written. So I'm con seeing more
- 1:36:45Speaker 2: pissed off, like if it's whenever the game spell off,
- 1:36:48Speaker 2: there was no material, there's material.
- 1:36:49Speaker 8: Here there I and you know obviously because you're read.
- 1:36:53Speaker 8: My understand is the materials like different style written than
- 1:36:57Speaker 8: the other ones.
- 1:36:59Speaker 2: It's not a book, but it's it's how the show
- 1:37:01Speaker 2: is not a novel.
- 1:37:02Speaker 4: Like that might even be harder to translate to something
- 1:37:08Speaker 4: like this.
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: I think what it is.
- 1:37:10Speaker 2: This is where my my frantsage point of it is,
- 1:37:12Speaker 2: because like the whole powerification of it all is that
- 1:37:15Speaker 2: the people think that they think that it's it's better
- 1:37:19Speaker 2: to go for entertainment, like oh, people like the dragon drama.
- 1:37:23Speaker 2: They want entertainment. They don't want the oh this queen,
- 1:37:27Speaker 2: but yeah this sun and it went like this and
- 1:37:29Speaker 2: none of that. They don't the people aren't going to
- 1:37:32Speaker 2: tune in for that. They're going to tune in for
- 1:37:33Speaker 2: the drama, for the.
- 1:37:35Speaker 9: Horrific parts, for the incest. That's what gets the people moving.
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: I mean, like the air.
- 1:37:42Speaker 2: But here's the thing that's that might get what people like,
- 1:37:45Speaker 2: they're dumps moving or whatever, But it's the bigger, greater storytelling,
- 1:37:49Speaker 2: the strict of the storytelling that gets the draw people in. Like,
- 1:37:52Speaker 2: I'm are we going to talk about the craziness, Sure,
- 1:37:55Speaker 2: because like it's funny, We're gonna talk about it, But
- 1:37:57Speaker 2: we're also gonna talk about how well written it is,
- 1:37:59Speaker 2: how well it's shot, how badly it's shop. We're gonna
- 1:38:01Speaker 2: talk about all these different aspects. Focusing too hard on entertainment,
- 1:38:06Speaker 2: you're gonna lose all of the audience that you garnered
- 1:38:08Speaker 2: in the first place.
- 1:38:09Speaker 8: Because I mean, he keeps selling, he keeps selling his
- 1:38:11Speaker 8: ship to them for millions of dollars.
- 1:38:13Speaker 4: I don't I'm sorry, I don't feel sorry for.
- 1:38:15Speaker 7: My guy, Like.
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: Then why didn't he just why is dunk in an egg?
- 1:38:20Speaker 8: And that's gonna be the next one two seasons from
- 1:38:22Speaker 8: now that actually I'll stopped working with them too.
- 1:38:26Speaker 9: Yeah, so far on story so we'll see if he
- 1:38:29Speaker 9: can yeah to do that.
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: Like I said, I never said I felt bad for
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: the nigga.
- 1:38:32Speaker 9: I said.
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: I was just like, well, I understand why oh yeah.
- 1:38:34Speaker 8: Yeah, but I mean I understand the children of but
- 1:38:38Speaker 8: Blood and like you, you understand because you wrote the
- 1:38:41Speaker 8: ship though, like your precious about your baby in a
- 1:38:44Speaker 8: way that other people might never relate to because it
- 1:38:47Speaker 8: is your baby. Almost all people that do Source of
- 1:38:50Speaker 8: Frank Miller, like everybody that does this, when it goes
- 1:38:53Speaker 8: to another medium they don't control, it's like more likely
- 1:38:57Speaker 8: than not they will not like it as much as
- 1:38:59Speaker 8: what they wrote.
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: So I kind of get that.
- 1:39:01Speaker 8: But at the same time, like, yeah, bro, all right,
- 1:39:04Speaker 8: I'm not here for George R.
- 1:39:05Speaker 1: Martin.
- 1:39:05Speaker 4: I'm here for the fucking dragons and the peoples.
- 1:39:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:39:08Speaker 3: The one fantastic thing about this finale episode was there
- 1:39:11Speaker 3: was no dragon on dragon violence.
- 1:39:13Speaker 4: I appreciate God, but.
- 1:39:18Speaker 5: That wasn't that.
- 1:39:20Speaker 1: Yeah, they didn't jump nobody.
- 1:39:23Speaker 2: We don't know where we're gonna begin next season.
- 1:39:25Speaker 9: If that we're the end of that chase, the end
- 1:39:26Speaker 9: of that chase.
- 1:39:27Speaker 5: Nowhere, I don't think.
- 1:39:30Speaker 4: I don't think there'll be a long hunt for because
- 1:39:32Speaker 4: it won't.
- 1:39:32Speaker 1: Be aunt, that won't be along. I'm thinking opening credits,
- 1:39:35Speaker 1: like how how far can he get?
- 1:39:38Speaker 3: He's not a smart I'm thinking right away immediately, you know,
- 1:39:42Speaker 3: within thirty seconds, sleep in the meadow, Like just first
- 1:39:46Speaker 3: I saw how they found.
- 1:39:47Speaker 1: Him fucking sleep on the toilet. This nigga, they're getting
- 1:39:52Speaker 1: him in the next.
- 1:39:53Speaker 2: Eighteen love finding somebody on the toilet because what's the
- 1:39:56Speaker 2: space went on the toilet too?
- 1:39:58Speaker 1: And egg dunking egg No, yeah, yeah, yeah, I.
- 1:40:07Speaker 9: Actually understand Old though, Like I didn't want to note that.
- 1:40:10Speaker 1: I I understand Old decisions to burn everybody down.
- 1:40:15Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, I got if you want to slapped
- 1:40:21Speaker 5: me around.
- 1:40:22Speaker 3: To you understand his decisions because they're simple. They're very simple.
- 1:40:26Speaker 3: There's nothing like, it's nothing deep about Off at least
- 1:40:29Speaker 3: to me.
- 1:40:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:40:30Speaker 8: Well, hell him and Hugh same boat to me. Like
- 1:40:34Speaker 8: what they was I thought there would be from everything
- 1:40:37Speaker 8: that was done before this.
- 1:40:38Speaker 1: I was like, Yep, they're gonna find this nigga drunk.
- 1:40:41Speaker 8: He's gonna drunk driver dragging into motherfucking war and he's
- 1:40:45Speaker 8: gonna burn every side up because he's.
- 1:40:47Speaker 3: Because he's mad, because he's mad because he can't drink
- 1:40:50Speaker 3: his duff beer okay whatever, Like it was written right
- 1:40:55Speaker 3: like we saw that, so it was no surprises there.
- 1:40:58Speaker 3: That's why I was That's why my simple there was
- 1:41:00Speaker 3: no deep reason why this happened.
- 1:41:02Speaker 9: It is what it is.
- 1:41:03Speaker 7: Yeah, thats go ahead, Well one last thing for we
- 1:41:06Speaker 7: from finished it just the like we said, it's the
- 1:41:09Speaker 7: difference between things like power and the wire.
- 1:41:11Speaker 5: It's like when he like, we know Hugh is going
- 1:41:14Speaker 5: to go back and do this stuff, but I have
- 1:41:16Speaker 5: no connection to it. When he runs in and he's.
- 1:41:20Speaker 1: Like, yeah, I don't give a ship like cat don't
- 1:41:22Speaker 1: even give a fuck about you.
- 1:41:23Speaker 8: So yeah, because there's so many people and uh this,
- 1:41:27Speaker 8: you know, I feel bad for the showrunners in this
- 1:41:29Speaker 8: area because they clearly have cut the budget in the episodes.
- 1:41:32Speaker 1: So there's just so many people you don't get the.
- 1:41:35Speaker 8: Time to spend with them, like like if you throw up,
- 1:41:38Speaker 8: I don't know, five extra minutes per episode of of
- 1:41:42Speaker 8: of Hew and Off doing shit, then yeah it does
- 1:41:45Speaker 8: matter to me that Oh yeah his wife, man, that
- 1:41:47Speaker 8: was really important him.
- 1:41:49Speaker 1: Now I'm like his wife plot point yep, got it.
- 1:41:51Speaker 8: He's uh, he's already gonna be in there fucking this
- 1:41:53Speaker 8: ship up, got it yep.
- 1:41:54Speaker 7: And then but it's also in like the fight between
- 1:41:57Speaker 7: Damon and whatever his name is. While it's a cool
- 1:42:00Speaker 7: fight and it looked like visually there's no emotion because
- 1:42:03Speaker 7: I don't give a ship about dude, Like who cares,
- 1:42:06Speaker 7: you know? And Damon is who I'm from? John, Yeah,
- 1:42:10Speaker 7: I don't you know, like whatever, you know, it's it's
- 1:42:13Speaker 7: it's just a problem of the show. It's like you need,
- 1:42:16Speaker 7: you want spectacle, but you're not developing it where the
- 1:42:19Speaker 7: spectacle matters.
- 1:42:20Speaker 5: It's just spectacle for spectacle.
- 1:42:22Speaker 8: Well, okay, Darren didn't do ship no like for him
- 1:42:25Speaker 8: to have that name, and it's all to be done
- 1:42:27Speaker 8: in his name, like this is just this exodu. Stage
- 1:42:30Speaker 8: right went up the stairs like Judy Winslow. I don't
- 1:42:32Speaker 8: even know where he yet.
- 1:42:36Speaker 2: How did y'all feel about Helena how she went out? Like,
- 1:42:39Speaker 2: did y'all feel like that was at all foreshadowed?
- 1:42:43Speaker 1: Like you had any Oh, it was definitely she fucking uh,
- 1:42:48Speaker 1: you know, crocheted. It was definitely.
- 1:42:50Speaker 8: Foreshadow between Alison and and Ray. Because I don't even
- 1:42:57Speaker 8: mean this as a as a compliment. I just think
- 1:42:59Speaker 8: that the show was so blatantly like she gonna kill herself,
- 1:43:03Speaker 8: Like she can't.
- 1:43:04Speaker 1: She don't go outside. You know, she's fragile, you know.
- 1:43:06Speaker 8: I was like, oh, so she gone out the window
- 1:43:09Speaker 8: one hundred percent, so I I mean, maybe you could
- 1:43:12Speaker 8: be upset that it was too for a shadowed almost
- 1:43:14Speaker 8: because I was like, well, we know what's gonna happen
- 1:43:16Speaker 8: to her?
- 1:43:17Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, rest in peace.
- 1:43:19Speaker 1: She was a real one.
- 1:43:20Speaker 9: I was like, did you actually care that she died?
- 1:43:22Speaker 5: Oh?
- 1:43:23Speaker 1: Yeah, I love her.
- 1:43:23Speaker 4: Helena was good. She was the only one that.
- 1:43:26Speaker 1: Was good, Like, of course, yeah, that sucked.
- 1:43:30Speaker 8: Like I felt worse for her than Massoria. I was like,
- 1:43:32Speaker 8: We'm sorry, you could go. You beat it, you lost,
- 1:43:34Speaker 8: you blew it. But Helena never did nothing to nobody. Man,
- 1:43:37Speaker 8: she lost her baby, like nah, she and they gave
- 1:43:40Speaker 8: her enough screen time, right, even if it was just
- 1:43:42Speaker 8: bouncing her off for Ray and Allison. We got enough
- 1:43:45Speaker 8: screen time to care it, just not to know who
- 1:43:47Speaker 8: she wanted to go around for these people.
- 1:43:49Speaker 1: Yeah, we knew who she was.
- 1:43:50Speaker 3: We knew her motivation, We know why she what's important
- 1:43:53Speaker 3: to her, what's not important to her, like her connection
- 1:43:56Speaker 3: to the Nearer and the greater story.
- 1:43:58Speaker 1: There was a full weaving of this character. So you
- 1:44:01Speaker 1: absolutely cared.
- 1:44:03Speaker 7: Even the senior starts like I cared more for them.
- 1:44:06Speaker 7: I got to know them more. Yeah, I got to
- 1:44:09Speaker 7: the north. Yeah, I got to know them way more
- 1:44:12Speaker 7: than I got to know.
- 1:44:13Speaker 1: Oscar what's his name.
- 1:44:18Speaker 10: It was?
- 1:44:19Speaker 5: And crazy Shorty with him once.
- 1:44:22Speaker 1: Again, I love Blackwood needs lines.
- 1:44:27Speaker 7: She don't even need them though, Bru. She's just sitting
- 1:44:29Speaker 7: there smiling as they're plotting death.
- 1:44:31Speaker 5: It's like she's sitting there like.
- 1:44:34Speaker 1: Oscar was point up and she was like got it,
- 1:44:37Speaker 1: smiling and she did it.
- 1:44:38Speaker 5: I love her.
- 1:44:39Speaker 1: They do it, you know.
- 1:44:40Speaker 3: So, so it's ways that could be done. It's just
- 1:44:43Speaker 3: unfortunately the ones that they were highlighting just didn't have
- 1:44:46Speaker 3: it for me. So all that to say, when we
- 1:44:48Speaker 3: see the next season, which is now, thank you all
- 1:44:50Speaker 3: for confirming the last season.
- 1:44:53Speaker 1: How is this? How does this all? Twenty eight? It's written,
- 1:44:56Speaker 1: it is written, there's material, and they deviated from the
- 1:45:00Speaker 1: ever it's written.
- 1:45:01Speaker 8: It will disappoint people that read the books. So let's
- 1:45:03Speaker 8: just get that out the way. Okay, we understand, But
- 1:45:07Speaker 8: for me, it is possible that I might like it.
- 1:45:10Speaker 8: I hope they we get lots of action, and I
- 1:45:13Speaker 8: hope we get lots more of betrayal and lots more
- 1:45:16Speaker 8: death I think one of the easiest solutions to this
- 1:45:19Speaker 8: show is having so many characters. It's just killed more people,
- 1:45:23Speaker 8: and then we spend more time with the people that's
- 1:45:25Speaker 8: not dead, and it makes it more impactful because it
- 1:45:28Speaker 8: they're spread sealthy.
- 1:45:30Speaker 1: Just how many locations and people.
- 1:45:32Speaker 2: It's crazy right now, this is a fact too, for
- 1:45:37Speaker 2: more people to be dead by now, Like I never
- 1:45:41Speaker 2: we got through to like episode three of this season.
- 1:45:43Speaker 2: I was like, I hope that Tumbleton is like episode
- 1:45:49Speaker 2: six or seven, because I really feel like there should
- 1:45:51Speaker 2: be more.
- 1:45:51Speaker 9: Deaths before we get into the last season.
- 1:45:53Speaker 2: Like there's just too many players, like keys on the table,
- 1:45:57Speaker 2: pieces on the table, and I feel like it makes
- 1:45:59Speaker 2: the like test match harder to like actually enjoy whenever
- 1:46:03Speaker 2: you're just worried about all these different pieces on the board.
- 1:46:06Speaker 2: So I was hoping that by this episode, so many
- 1:46:10Speaker 2: deaths it'd happened, Like I don't even know because I'm
- 1:46:13Speaker 2: And that's another thing that like for people to comments
- 1:46:16Speaker 2: I enjoy fellow Master's fellow like watchers, I'm taking my
- 1:46:20Speaker 2: models from Master's before me who did not spoil the
- 1:46:23Speaker 2: Red Wedding for anybody online, even though they could have.
- 1:46:26Speaker 2: I'm not swelling stuff for people like I would. I
- 1:46:28Speaker 2: would never want to spoil stuff. I want to ever
- 1:46:30Speaker 2: an adult also don't know what they're gonna change up
- 1:46:32Speaker 2: in the storytelling, so I just like to be part
- 1:46:34Speaker 2: of enjoying it and didn't see how it all rolls
- 1:46:36Speaker 2: with everyone else.
- 1:46:37Speaker 9: So there are so many deaths that I would.
- 1:46:40Speaker 1: Love to just hint at a name in some way
- 1:46:44Speaker 1: that I just like, I.
- 1:46:45Speaker 2: Know they're probably gonna pull off in really interesting ways,
- 1:46:47Speaker 2: and we haven't gotten there yet, and I just I
- 1:46:49Speaker 2: would have loved to end of the season on at
- 1:46:52Speaker 2: least two or three of them, and we haven't.
- 1:46:54Speaker 4: I appreciate your restraint.
- 1:46:56Speaker 1: I appreciate it.
- 1:46:57Speaker 8: That's not even a joke or a sarcasm, straight up,
- 1:46:59Speaker 8: because there's a lot of people. As a person that
- 1:47:02Speaker 8: didn't read the books, there's so many, so much stuff
- 1:47:04Speaker 8: I can't engage with because people just flippantly just say shit,
- 1:47:07Speaker 8: and you're like, damn, like why would you do that? Like, bro,
- 1:47:10Speaker 8: I was listening to you, why would you do that?
- 1:47:14Speaker 8: So I appreciate the restraint for real.
- 1:47:15Speaker 3: Definitely Ben, I mean your thoughts on what we're gonna
- 1:47:18Speaker 3: see the last season, uh.
- 1:47:19Speaker 5: As someone who like Portchu.
- 1:47:21Speaker 7: I mean, I haven't read the books, but I do
- 1:47:23Speaker 7: keep up online, and so I know I don't know
- 1:47:26Speaker 7: anything that's about to happen.
- 1:47:27Speaker 5: I just know that they said that there's a lot
- 1:47:30Speaker 5: to cover from the books.
- 1:47:32Speaker 7: Like the timeframe of what we need to show in
- 1:47:35Speaker 7: before season is a lot more than what we've shown
- 1:47:39Speaker 7: in these seasons.
- 1:47:40Speaker 5: So it's like they're gonna compress shit.
- 1:47:42Speaker 7: I know that, Like you know, people complaining about X
- 1:47:44Speaker 7: Men and how it's speed run h Man ninety seven
- 1:47:46Speaker 7: right now, and I know that they're gonna do a
- 1:47:48Speaker 7: lot of speed running and maybe some type of time jump.
- 1:47:50Speaker 7: I'm not sure it's act because I don't know exactly
- 1:47:52Speaker 7: what needs to be shown. I just know a lot
- 1:47:54Speaker 7: needs to be shown and we only have one season
- 1:47:56Speaker 7: left to do it in. So yeah, I you know know,
- 1:48:00Speaker 7: at this point, I'm like with everyone, I just I'm
- 1:48:02Speaker 7: watching for the entertainment value of this.
- 1:48:03Speaker 5: I'm this house Dragon is never going to go down.
- 1:48:06Speaker 7: It's like one of my all time great TV shows
- 1:48:09Speaker 7: or great TV watching experiences. It's highly entertaining. I love dragons.
- 1:48:14Speaker 7: So I love seeing them on screen. I love all
- 1:48:17Speaker 7: the you know, the ridiculousness of it. A man, you know,
- 1:48:20Speaker 7: with one arm screaming for his death after telling somebody
- 1:48:23Speaker 7: got a good fucking from the norths.
- 1:48:25Speaker 5: You know, you can't get this anywhere.
- 1:48:27Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:48:27Speaker 7: This is just like Power, where people stream about product
- 1:48:30Speaker 7: week after week. You know, we need more product, we
- 1:48:31Speaker 7: need more product.
- 1:48:32Speaker 5: I can't get that, you know, anywhere else but Power.
- 1:48:36Speaker 1: I'm not getting dragons anywhere else.
- 1:48:37Speaker 8: I'll say that it's you know, what I just thought of,
- 1:48:42Speaker 8: and I know a closing, But it's kind of crazy
- 1:48:44Speaker 8: that U Ray is right right, that she's right about
- 1:48:49Speaker 8: the I saw the ice and fire.
- 1:48:51Speaker 5: But she sounds crazy, but she.
- 1:48:54Speaker 1: Actually was right.
- 1:48:58Speaker 7: But she's not because she talks about she's the prince
- 1:49:00Speaker 7: to promise and you're ye, but she's.
- 1:49:03Speaker 1: Right about winter is coming though.
- 1:49:06Speaker 8: Ship And I know that was part of what went
- 1:49:08Speaker 8: into the crazy bucket for a lot of them people.
- 1:49:10Speaker 8: They're like, winter ain't coming, it ain't gonna.
- 1:49:14Speaker 5: Come in they lifetime like this, you know, so she is.
- 1:49:16Speaker 1: That's so crazy, I know.
- 1:49:18Speaker 8: But it's like when Kamala was like this motherfucker is
- 1:49:20Speaker 8: gonna be a bad present.
- 1:49:22Speaker 1: It's like, man, she women be talking.
- 1:49:24Speaker 5: Damn lifetime anybody of any So you.
- 1:49:28Speaker 8: Know, it's imagine if Kamala was like a hundred years
- 1:49:31Speaker 8: from now, you know, we'd be like she was crazy.
- 1:49:33Speaker 1: Definitely got three percent of the vote. I was, what
- 1:49:37Speaker 1: was you about to say the.
- 1:49:39Speaker 9: Winter is coming front?
- 1:49:40Speaker 2: Because one, I don't I know that Raynieran knows that
- 1:49:43Speaker 2: she's out the princess promised she's like and going back
- 1:49:47Speaker 2: to like. I think it was possibly last episode where
- 1:49:48Speaker 2: I was saying, like Ormond if he had actually had
- 1:49:51Speaker 2: like married her or whatever, like, he would have would
- 1:49:53Speaker 2: have been a good match because he's good about spending
- 1:49:55Speaker 2: narratives in people's favor, and she's what she's doing, and
- 1:49:58Speaker 2: she's trying to spend the narrative. But only her her father,
- 1:50:02Speaker 2: people that are dead know this narrative that she's trying
- 1:50:05Speaker 2: to evoke to bring other people into it.
- 1:50:08Speaker 9: So it's only her audience.
- 1:50:10Speaker 2: That she thinks she's playing into is not there, because
- 1:50:12Speaker 2: that's not they're not the ones. They're not the Targarians believer,
- 1:50:16Speaker 2: they're not. That's not who they are. But what's funny
- 1:50:18Speaker 2: to me is the iconography of Helena being a dreamer.
- 1:50:24Speaker 2: The last vision she had with Winter coming over, her
- 1:50:27Speaker 2: vision of what it eclipsed. Winter eclipsed what she wanted
- 1:50:31Speaker 2: for her life. And the first time we see Winter
- 1:50:34Speaker 2: is coming come up at all in this show, especially
- 1:50:38Speaker 2: this episode, is whenever Rainier declares that winter is coming.
- 1:50:42Speaker 2: So Raynier's rain eclipses whatever Helena's dreams are ever gonna be.
- 1:50:47Speaker 2: And that's when Helena decides that she's going to take
- 1:50:49Speaker 2: her life because Rayniera is always it's whatever Vania's vision is.
- 1:50:53Speaker 2: And I think that's what Missarius said to her, kind
- 1:50:57Speaker 2: of like solidified that whatever Raynier wants, it's gonna eclips whatever.
- 1:51:02Speaker 8: However, ever, wants to give up the irony Massori of
- 1:51:07Speaker 8: being in the crowd watching, Yeah, like.
- 1:51:11Speaker 9: Like what's your aria of what's for Ned's Park?
- 1:51:13Speaker 4: Basically, yep, I'll think we're irony than Ernie Man.
- 1:51:19Speaker 3: So that is our review of our jam pack review
