- 0:43This is the generation that seeks you.
- 0:46O Jacob, we love you. King Jesus, we thank you.
- 0:49You are the lion of Judah. Yes, I pray you'll roar mightily
- 0:55over our circumstances, roar mightily over our emotions, roar
- 1:01mightily over all of the things that try to set themselves up
- 1:06against the knowledge of you, King Jesus.
- 1:09God, I pray in the name of Jesus for all of the people all over
- 1:14this world, 8 billion souls. God, I pray, sold out to you in
- 1:19the name of Jesus Christ. God, let the whole world
- 1:22experience revival. Lord, let the whole world

- 1:34as a day is this. God, I pray, Lord, that we will
- 1:38not be worried. I pray against anxiety.

- 1:43God, I pray against mental illness and disease.
- 1:47God, I pray in the name of Jesus that you'll set us into new
- 1:52heights and that we'll feel the new depths of your love and
- 1:56mercy and grace. God, let us walk in the bridal
- 2:00authority that you've given us. God, I pray that we could put
- 2:04our hand to the plow. I pray that we're not
- 2:07distracted. In the name of Jesus, I pray for
- 2:10zeal to consume this house. God, I pray that we'll be people
- 2:14of prayer. God, let our prayer life
- 2:17increase. Let it be 24 hours a day, seven
- 2:21days a week. 365 God, I pray that we pray without ceasing.
- 2:27Lord, I pray that we will not worry about anything but pray
- 2:31about everything. God, I pray in the name of Jesus
- 2:34for you to continue to rescue those out of the fire, continue
- 2:38to rescue those that are perishing.
- 2:41God, I pray that we will get in the boat.
- 2:44Lord, that is your name. Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the
- 2:48Yeshua Hamasiyah, you are our everything King.
- 2:52Jesus, we love you. Father, I decrease as you
- 2:55increase. Holy Spirit, you teach us the
- 2:58eternal past. You teach us this divine
- 3:00council. You teach us today.
- 3:03I just get out of the way. Lord, speak to this wicked and
- 3:07dark and perverse generation. God, tell them about the love
- 3:11that you have for them. Lord, let us get rid of the
- 3:14idols. Let us get rid of all of the
- 3:17false worship. Let us get rid of the self
- 3:20seeking vanity. In the name of Jesus Christ.
- 3:23I pray for your glory to shine all around us.
- 3:26God, I pray that we can be the light of the world.
- 3:29I pray that we can get out of our own way and that Lord will
- 3:32take word to the whole world. It's all about you, King Jesus.
- 3:36It's always been about you, King Jesus.
- 3:38We cry out Maranatha, the Spirit and the bride says, come, we
- 3:47worship you today in spirit and truth.
- 3:50Father, we love you. We love everything about you.
- 3:56We love that you are good. We love because you first loved
- 4:02us. Thank you Jesus, it is in your
- 4:08mighty and holy and precious name that I pray.
- 4:15Amen. Let's start in verse one.
- 4:22And after the uproar was ceased, Paul called unto him the
- 4:29disciples and embraced them, and departed to go into Macedonia.
- 4:37So here Paul has received divine counsel from Jesus during his
- 4:44three day fast on the road to Damascus.
- 4:47When he was blinded and had scales on his eyes, Jesus showed
- 4:53him all the things he must suffer.
- 4:56And here he knows that he must go to Rome.
- 4:59So he's departing, and he's embracing them right before he
- 5:02departs to. And when he had gone over those
- 5:07parts and had given them much, much exhortation, he came into
- 5:12Greece. 3 And they're both three months.
- 5:17And when the Jews laid wait for him as he was about to sail into
- 5:22Syria, he purposed to return through Macedonia.
- 5:28So we can see that there was a plot against his life, and they
- 5:31were plotting against him, and they were desirous to lay hands
- 5:36on him, but he outmaneuvered them for and there accompanied
- 5:43him into Asia. Saboteur of Berea and of the
- 5:48Thessalonians, aristocrats and second us and Gaius, Dirt, and
- 5:55Timothy, and of Asia, Tychius and Trophimus. 5 These going
- 6:01before tarried for us at Troas. So here Luke goes back into
- 6:07revealing that he is with them when he says us.
- 6:10And these disciples were named, and you can see that Paul kept a
- 6:14band of brothers about them. 6 And we sailed away from Philippi
- 6:20after the Days of Unleavened bread, and came unto them at
- 6:24Troas in five days, where we abode 7 days.
- 6:29So you can see here that the trip there only took two, but
- 6:34the trip back took five, and the wind was against them. 7 And
- 6:39upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together
- 6:42to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on
- 6:46the morning and continue to speech until midnight.
- 6:50So Paul is about to give a long winded sermon and there was so
- 6:57much he needed to say and every one of the words that he spoke
- 7:03held great weight. But the people were like sponges
- 7:10and they were saturated. They were filled with his words.
- 7:16And so he was so long winded and all the things that he needed to
- 7:22say, they could not take any more in and they started to fall
- 7:27asleep here. 8 And there were many lights in the upper
- 7:35chamber, where they were gathered together. 9 And there
- 7:39sat in a window a certain young man named Yutaikus being fallen
- 7:45into a deep sleep. And as Paul was long preaching,
- 7:49he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft,
- 7:54and was taken up dead. So this young man fell asleep,
- 7:59fell out of the window, and was dead. 10 And when Paul went down
- 8:07and fell on him, and embracing him, said, Trouble not
- 8:11yourselves, for his life is in him.
- 8:14So here Paul prophesied that this young man would be brought
- 8:18back to from the dead, he would be resuscitated. 11 When he
- 8:25therefore was come up again and had broken bread and eaten and
- 8:30talked a long while until the break of day, then he departed.
- 8:34So this was an all night prayer meeting, and he spoke from the
- 8:42day all the way to midnight, and then he kept exhorting them all
- 8:48the way until Daybreak. They broke bread and he left. 12
- 8:52And they brought the young man alive, and we're not a little
- 8:56comforted. So this was of great comfort
- 9:00that Paul, through the power of the Lord Jesus Christ, brought
- 9:06this young man back to life. 13 And we went before to ship, and
- 9:13sailed unto Assos, there intending to take in Paul, for
- 9:18so had he appointed mining himself to go afoot. 14 And when
- 9:27he met with us at Assos, we took him in and came to Methylene. 15
- 9:33And we sailed there, and came the next day over against chaos.
- 9:40And the next day we arrived at Samos, and tarried at Trogulum.
- 9:44And the next day we came to Melitis. 16 For Paul had
- 9:50determined to sail by Ephesus because he would not spend the
- 9:55time in Asia, for he hasted, if it were possible for him to be
- 10:00at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost.
- 10:05So we can see here that Paul was on a divine timeline, just like
- 10:10our Lord, and he knew that he needed to be where he needed to
- 10:14be, when he needed to be. And when we're connected with
- 10:17the Spirit and we're walking in the Spirit, you'll know the same
- 10:21too. You will know that everything
- 10:25that is happening in your life is a divine appointment.
- 10:30And God does not make mistakes. And if we'll get connected to
- 10:35them, we are going to be able to know that we know that God is in
- 10:43our midst and He's moving mightily, and every person we
- 10:46encounter is a divine encounter. 17 And from myelitis he sent to
- 10:53Ephesus, and called the elders of the church. 18 And when they
- 10:59were come to him, he said unto them, You know from the first
- 11:02day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you
- 11:07at all seasons. 19 Serving the Lord with all humility of mind,
- 11:12and with many tears and temptations, which befell me by
- 11:17the lying and weight of the Jews, 20 And how I kept back
- 11:21nothing that was profitable unto you, but have showed you and
- 11:25have taught you publicly and from house to house, 21
- 11:29Testifying both to the Jews and also to the Greeks, repentance
- 11:34towards God and faith towards the Lord Jesus Christ. 22 And
- 11:40now behold, I go bound in the Spirit unto Jerusalem, not
- 11:47knowing the things that shall befall me there.
- 11:52So this humility that Paul possessed, and it was all
- 11:56connected to the Lord Jesus Christ, and he knew that he was
- 12:00going to have to go and have to appear before Rome.
- 12:08And he accepted it all his joy. And he was forth telling these
- 12:14men, these great leaders, and when we go and we read the book
- 12:19of Ephesians, you're going to see Paul encouraging them there
- 12:23as well. 23 Accept the Holy Ghost witnesses in every city
- 12:30saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.
- 12:33So that's what Paul knew. Paul knew that he was a bond
- 12:38servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that he must suffer
- 12:42for the Gospel. 24 But none of these things move me, neither
- 12:50count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish
- 12:55my course with joy and the ministry which I have received
- 12:59of the Lord Jesus to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
- 13:04This is Our Calling to finish the race well, friends.
- 13:13This is what the Lord has mandated for every blood bought,
- 13:18Born Again believer, is to not just start the race well, but to
- 13:25finish the race well. And it's a whole lot harder to
- 13:30finish than it is to start. We see that in the life of
- 13:34Solomon. We see that modeled out,
- 13:39friends, let's finish the race well. 25 And now, behold, I know
- 13:48that you all, among whom I have gone preaching the Kingdom of
- 13:53God, shall see my face no more. So he knew this was the last
- 13:58time he would see them. 26 Wherefore I take you to record
- 14:03this day that I am pure from the blood of all men.
- 14:08So he knew that he had preached the Word of God.
- 14:12He didn't hold back from anybody, and his hands were
- 14:16clean. His conscience was clear.
- 14:21He was released from the damnation in the blood of all
- 14:25the people. He didn't shrink back as a
- 14:28coward. He was bold in his faith.
- 14:31And that's Our Calling as well. Even if it costs you your
- 14:35finances. Even if it costs you your
- 14:38relationships, even if it costs you your very life, we cannot
- 14:43shrink back from sharing the good news of the Lord Jesus
- 14:46Christ for all men everywhere, for all time's sake. 27 For I
- 14:54have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. 28
- 15:02Take heed, therefore, unto yourselves and to all the flock,
- 15:07over the which the Holy Ghost has made you overseers, to feed
- 15:12the Church of God, which He has purchased with His own blood.
- 15:17That is our mandate. Circle it, underline it,
- 15:21highlight it, write it in the margin, that we are to take heed
- 15:31for all the flock over which the Holy Ghost has made us
- 15:37overseers. We are to be feeding the Church
- 15:40of God, and we need to know that Jesus bought it with a very high
- 15:45price, with his own blood, innocent blood. 29 For I know
- 15:51this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in
- 15:55among you, not sparing the flock.
- 15:59We need to know that there are right now in our midst, Judas's
- 16:05in the camp. There are ravenous wolves that
- 16:10are coming to us in sheep's clothing and they are desirous
- 16:14to RIP us apart. And it is only by being
- 16:18connected to the Lord Jesus Christ that we can see through
- 16:22the duplicity and the hypocrisy of it all.
- 16:27We need the true religion, friends.
- 16:30We need to take care of orphans and widows in their time of
- 16:34distress. We need to see the fruit that is
- 16:37on the branches. We need to have love for our
- 16:40brothers and sisters. We will know who belongs to him
- 16:45and who doesn't. 30 Also of your own self shall men arise,
- 16:54speaking perverse things to draw away disciples after them.
- 17:00So there's coming a time in the day, and it's already here that
- 17:04people will not put up with sound doctrine, but they will
- 17:07only amass to themselves men who will tickle their ears with all
- 17:11kinds of new thinking. And we need to know that Jesus
- 17:18Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
- 17:23Amen. 31 Therefore watch and remember that by the space of
- 17:32three years I cease not to warn everyone night and day with
- 17:38tears. Praise God.
- 17:43Hallelujah. If you have been preaching the
- 17:46paint off the walls and you don't see any movement, try
- 17:52tears. Remember that we worship a
- 17:57crying God. Jesus wept. 32 And now,
- 18:04brothers, I command you to God and to the word of his grace,
- 18:10which is able to build you up and to give you an inheritance
- 18:15among all them which are sanctified.
- 18:18Think about it, friends, Underline it.
- 18:20Make a PowerPoint presentation with these words.
- 18:28Be commended to God, be commended to the word of his
- 18:31grace. Friends, know that the word of
- 18:35His grace and the power of God is able to build you up this
- 18:41edifying and to give you an inheritance.
- 18:46Praise God, we have an inheritance is our eternal abode
- 18:50and this is not our home. And we're just pilgrims passing
- 18:53through a strange land, friends. And among all of them which are
- 18:59sanctified, Are you sanctified by the consecrating of the
- 19:03temple, Friends? That is the question you got to
- 19:05ask yourself. Or are you just OK with casual,
- 19:10lukewarm Christianity? 33 I have coveted no man's
- 19:17silver, gold or apparel. It means nothing.
- 19:21We do not store up for ourselves treasures on earth, but we are
- 19:27only interested in the treasures in heaven, friends, where moth
- 19:30and thieves and rust do not break in and destroy.
- 19:36We press towards the heavenly goal.
- 19:40We just want the crown so we can lay it at his feet. 34 Yeah, you
- 19:47yourselves know that these hands I've ministered unto my
- 19:53necessities and to them that were with me.
- 19:56So Paul was a tent maker. What a model for us that are
- 20:00that are in ministry and we're all called into ministry.
- 20:03We're called into full time discipleship.
- 20:06Every blood bought born again believer is called into full
- 20:10time discipleship and Paul understood the.
- 20:16Desire. He understood the gravity.
- 20:19He understood the need to provide for his own needs and
- 20:23not to have to ask for handouts. How pathetic.
- 20:28We serve the God who put the ore in the earth that we make all
- 20:32the value of everything off of. Think about it.
- 20:39He has the cattle on 1000 Hills 35.
- 20:44I have showed you all things how that's so laboring.
- 20:52You ought to support the weak to remember the words of the Lord
- 20:58Jesus, how he said it is more blessed to give than to
- 21:02perceive. Have you stepped into that
- 21:04reality? God loves a cheerful giver.
- 21:09We should not give grudgingly, we should not give out of
- 21:15legalism moving a decimal. We give liberally because it has
- 21:21been given to us liberally. Friends. 36 And when he had thus
- 21:27spoken, he knelt down and prayed with them all. 37 And they all
- 21:34wept sore, and fell on Paul's neck, and kissed him.
- 21:40We'll end on 38 sorrowing most of all for the words which he
- 21:46spoke, that they should see his face no more.
- 21:50And they accompanied him unto the ship.
- 21:56Paul just preached one of the most magnificent sermons ever
- 22:04recorded and he gave us so many different mandates for the
- 22:10Christian walk and all they could think about was they
- 22:15weren't going to see him again. We did the same.
- 22:23We're so earthly minded. Let's get out of our own way.
- 22:28Let's step into the reality of the spiritual realm all around
- 22:32us. Get in the war, get in the
- 22:34fight, fight on your knees. Fight against all the darkness
- 22:38and the principalities in the high places.
- 22:43Let's not be afraid. Put on the full armor today.
- 22:49Tap into the power source today. I hope you've been blessed by
- 22:54this chapter. I know I sure have.
- 23:01I love you. I'm praying for you, Praying
- 23:08that today goes well. Praying today something breaks
- 23:12off of you. Fear of man breaks off of you.
- 23:19Praying that you step out of fear and self preservation.
- 23:27You step into the fullness that awaits you in the presence of
- 23:31God. Love you.
- 23:35We'll see you back here tomorrow.
- 23:37God bless you.
