- Lucas: Luna, velkommen til episode 107 av Learn Norwegian with Fexingo. Luna: Takk, Lucas! I'm ready to learn something new. Lucas: Today we're going to learn a verb that is super useful: 'å finne' — to find. Luna: Å finne. To find. Like finding your keys? Lucas: Exactly. Or finding a store, or finding your way. Let's start with the basic form: 'å finne'. Luna: Å finne. Lucas: Good. Now the present tense: 'jeg finner' — I find. Luna: Jeg finner. Lucas: Perfect. Let's put it in a sentence: 'Jeg finner nøklene.' — I find the keys. Luna: Jeg finner nøklene. Lucas: Great. Now a question: 'Finner du?' — Do you find? Luna: Finner du? Lucas: Yes. For example: 'Finner du butikken?' — Do you find the store? Luna: Finner du butikken? Lucas: Now let's make it negative: 'Jeg finner ikke' — I don't find. Luna: Jeg finner ikke. Lucas: So 'Jeg finner ikke nøklene.' — I don't find the keys. Luna: Jeg finner ikke nøklene. That's useful when I'm late. Lucas: Absolutely. Now a very common question: 'Hvor finner jeg...' — Where do I find...? Luna: Hvor finner jeg? Lucas: For example: 'Hvor finner jeg busstasjonen?' — Where do I find the bus station? Luna: Hvor finner jeg busstasjonen? That's good for traveling. Lucas: Exactly. Let's practice all the phrases. Repeat after me: 'å finne'. Luna: Å finne. Lucas: 'Jeg finner'. Luna: Jeg finner. Lucas: 'Finner du?' Luna: Finner du? Lucas: 'Jeg finner ikke'. Luna: Jeg finner ikke. Lucas: 'Hvor finner jeg'. Luna: Hvor finner jeg. Lucas: Fantastic. Now let's make a little scene. Imagine you're looking for a pharmacy. Luna: Hvor finner jeg apoteket? Lucas: Good. And the answer could be: 'Du finner apoteket på hjørnet.' — You find the pharmacy on the corner. Luna: Du finner apoteket på hjørnet. I love how practical this is. Lucas: It really is. Luna: Ja, jeg finner den. So 'den' means 'it' for masculine/feminine nouns? Lucas: Exactly. For neuter nouns, we say 'det'. But we'll cover that another time. Luna: Okay, I'll stick with 'den' for now. Lucas: Let's do a quick recap. What does 'å finne' mean? Luna: To find. Lucas: And 'jeg finner'? Luna: I find. Lucas: 'Finner du?' Luna: Do you find?
