- 0:12Speaker 1: some calls let's go to uh ken daytona florida ken
- 0:16Speaker 1: how you doing hello mark yes ken how you doing
- 0:22Speaker 1: um what the hell is that behind you.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Phone oh um I'm a first-time caller. I just want
- 0:31Speaker 2: to say I really appreciate your.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Common-sense approach to everything that goes on. The thing I
- 0:40Speaker 3: like to speak about is the data centers. I would
- 0:46Speaker 3: like to see Trump take the initiative to build a
- 0:51Speaker 3: data center, a prototype data center with no red tape,
- 0:57Speaker 3: Put all the nuclear components that have to be put there.
- 1:02Speaker 1: I know what you're saying, but Elon Musk is building it.
- 1:07Speaker 1: I'd rather have him do it. Trump's a great builder,
- 1:09Speaker 1: but if he builds a data center, it's going to
- 1:11Speaker 1: be all gold. It's going to have a ballroom, a
- 1:13Speaker 1: swimming pool. We don't need Elon Musk. Hey, you live
- 1:16Speaker 1: in Daytona, right? You're next to that Daytona Speedway, right?
- 1:19Speaker 1: That makes more noise than that.
- 1:21Speaker 4: Absolutely.
- 1:22Speaker 1: How much noise does that make? People live near that, right?
- 1:25Speaker 2: We love it.
- 1:26Speaker 1: I love it, too.
- 1:27Speaker 2: I'm originally from upstate New York, and I escaped five
- 1:32Speaker 2: years ago.
- 1:32Speaker 1: All right. Well, thanks for calling, Ken. Yeah, if you're
- 1:35Speaker 1: in Daytona, Florida, if you're Charlotte, North Carolina, next to
- 1:39Speaker 1: that Charlotte Speedway, that makes more noise. That makes a
- 1:43Speaker 1: data center sound like a library. I mean, nothing makes
- 1:46Speaker 1: more noise than those racetracks. Let's speak of the devil.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Let's go to Kevin in Charlotte, North Carolina. Kevin, how
- 1:51Speaker 1: are you doing? Hi, Mark.
- 1:54Speaker 5: I just want to add about the Phil Collins story. Apparently,
- 1:57Speaker 5: he texted her when he broke up because I remember
- 2:01Speaker 5: the story at the time to make it even worse
- 2:04Speaker 5: and didn't even do it in person or over the phone.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Oh, that Phil Collins. Dana Tyler is a very nice woman.
- 2:10Speaker 1: That Phil Collins. Oh, yeah. He texted her a breakup. Wow.
- 2:14Speaker 5: Yeah, he's a bad guy.
- 2:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:17Speaker 5: Yeah, so I just thought I'd add that.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I think that's proof right there, texting her that he's
- 2:21Speaker 1: breaking up. Let's go to Joanne in Rockland. Joanne, how
- 2:24Speaker 1: are you doing?
- 2:26Speaker 6: Oh, good morning, Mark. I'm fine. Hey, I called you
- 2:29Speaker 6: about four or five years ago about a song I'd
- 2:33Speaker 6: heard called I Think My Dog is a Democrat.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Oh, I remember that. It's a country song.
- 2:40Speaker 4: Yeah, a country song.
- 2:42Speaker 5: Can you find it and play it again?
- 2:43Speaker 1: I guess, but you could find it. You could just
- 2:46Speaker 1: go on YouTube and type Type that in.
- 2:49Speaker 5: I'd like everyone to enjoy it. That's all.
- 2:52Speaker 1: You're a little lazy, aren't you? You can't do this yourself.
- 2:55Speaker 1: I got to do it for you.
- 2:55Speaker 5: No, I want your audience to hear it.
- 2:58Speaker 1: All right. Let me see. I'm trying to do it
- 3:00Speaker 1: right now. It's a good song.
- 3:03Speaker 4: Because it's still appropriate.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Let me see here.
- 3:08Speaker 6: And it's very funny.
- 3:10Speaker 1: I'm trying to see. All right.
- 3:11Speaker 4: Hang on.
- 3:11Speaker 1: No, it's a good song. It's by Brian Lewis. Just
- 3:15Speaker 1: Google it. You'll find it there. But, yeah, you know,
- 3:19Speaker 1: actually most dogs, I guess, are Democratic because they don't work.
- 3:24Speaker 1: They depend on somebody else for food and shelter. So
- 3:27Speaker 1: maybe that's a Democratic thing being a dog. Let's go
- 3:30Speaker 1: to Helen in Bay Ridge. Helen, how are you doing?
- 3:32Speaker 6: Hi. Good morning, Mr. Simone. You know, I'm calling you
- 3:36Speaker 6: because I don't hear anybody talking about the two mental
- 3:40Speaker 6: health laws we have in New York to involuntarily commit people.
- 3:45Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 3:45Speaker 6: Kendra's Law.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:46Speaker 6: And the mental hygiene law from 1972, I think. And
- 3:52Speaker 6: why do you think they're not using these laws?
- 3:55Speaker 1: Well, we've got lots of laws that aren't used. Thanks
- 3:57Speaker 1: to Andrew Cuomo, where there's no bail, no jail. Thanks
- 4:00Speaker 1: to his crazy left-wing judges he put in.
- 4:03Speaker 6: So it's okay for people like that?
- 4:04Speaker 1: No, no, of course it's not okay. But you've got
- 4:06Speaker 1: all these left-wing politicians that put in judges who don't
- 4:09Speaker 1: enforce any law. And you've got this crazy Alvin Bragg.
- 4:13Speaker 1: who actually on the first day in office sent a
- 4:14Speaker 1: memo to everybody, we don't put people in jail, we
- 4:17Speaker 1: just let everybody back out on the street. You've got
- 4:20Speaker 1: to get rid of these people. That's why you've got
- 4:21Speaker 1: to vote for Bruce Blakeman and law and order type governors, mayors.
- 4:26Speaker 1: You need that. That's the only way you're going to
- 4:28Speaker 1: ever fix this. Let's go to Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent,
- 4:32Speaker 1: how are you doing?
- 4:33Speaker 4: Good morning, Mark. Mark, I'm okay. You forgot to mention
- 4:36Speaker 4: earlier that Ms. Common Sense, Julia Menon, is also responsible
- 4:41Speaker 4: for recently revamping these stupid outside dining laws. But that
- 4:46Speaker 4: being said.
- 4:47Speaker 1: We like the outdoor dining.
- 4:49Speaker 4: No, they suck. all the people whose loved ones were
- 4:55Speaker 4: murdered and maimed should start a class action suit and
- 5:00Speaker 4: sue the new york city board of health and the
- 5:03Speaker 4: new york city department of social services because ultimately they
- 5:09Speaker 4: failed the populace of new york and that's how we
- 5:13Speaker 4: wound up with that nut job in the in times
- 5:16Speaker 4: square yesterday about sixty four years ago One Sunday afternoon
- 5:22Speaker 4: during the spring, and I knew because a lot of
- 5:25Speaker 4: my friends lived in this apartment building, there was a
- 5:29Speaker 4: crazy white lady in my neighborhood throwing garbage, bottles out
- 5:34Speaker 4: the window, cans, and she was speaking gibberish. Somebody called
- 5:38Speaker 4: the precinct. They came over with two cops, observed it.
- 5:44Speaker 4: They called up Bellevue. Bellevue came down with a padded wagon.
- 5:50Speaker 4: Two male nurses came out, two cops, and two doctors.
- 5:55Speaker 4: The doctors certified on the spot that she had to
- 5:58Speaker 4: be taken away. The cops and the male nurses went
- 6:01Speaker 4: up there with the doctors, and next thing you know,
- 6:04Speaker 4: this woman was coming out. She came out in a
- 6:08Speaker 4: straight jacket, and they put her in the psych ward.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Those were the good old days. You're right, Vincent. Great point.
- 6:15Speaker 1: That's the good old days.
- 6:16Speaker 4: A class action lawsuit is what's needed.
- 6:19Speaker 1: It's a good idea. I like it. Thanks for calling.
- 6:21Speaker 1: We've got to go for the news, but good idea.
- 6:25Speaker 1: And when we come back, we'll talk to the brilliant
- 6:27Speaker 1: columnist Liz Peek. Coming up next on 710WOR.
