- 0:54Of all, welcome today's show. We're gonna pick up where we left off
- 1:02last time. You may remember that an Anglican was questioning the priests in the
- 1:07book. Radio replies, and the Anglican says, does the present Archbishop of
- 1:14Canterbury enjoy the jurisdiction granted to his pre Reformation predecessors by the Pope? Or
- 1:23is he limited with them only by orders? And they answer, he has
- 1:26no link with them, either by jurisdiction or by Holy orders. He merely
- 1:30retains the same name without the reality, and owes his position to the Crown.
- 1:36All privileges once granted to the archbishops of Canterbury by Rome are now granted
- 1:41to the Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster. If the present Archbishop of Canterbury was converted
- 1:47to the Catholic Church and wishes wish to exercise priestly functions in that church,
- 1:52he would have to be ordained as if he had never claimed to be a
- 1:56cleric of any description previously. I'm sure why this is so hard for Anglicans
- 2:00to understand. I think it must be that English superiority. They can't accept
- 2:06that they're not Catholic. The Anglican Church is not the Catholic Church. They
- 2:12broke entirely and completely. Anyway, the person goes on and says, how
- 2:20can you deny the orders of an Anglican bishop? They go back to the
- 2:23bishops of the Reformation period, and this is very important. There have been
- 2:28Anglican bishops continually since the Reformation, but valid orders have not been continuously handed
- 2:34on. Henry the Eighth began the Church of England in fifteen thirty four.
- 2:38Bishops who submitted to him were validly consecrated and validly lasted until fifteen fifty.
- 2:46But in that year, under Edward six a great effort was made to Protestantize
- 2:53still more of the Church in England, both in doctrine and in practice.
- 2:58The form of ordination was deliberately changed, all references to priesthood and the true
- 3:02Christian sense of the word being eliminated. This defective form utterly useless, for
- 3:07the true ordination of priests remained unchanged until sixteen sixty two, one hundred and
- 3:14twelve years later. Then the mistake was realized and the form was corrected,
- 3:17but the correction was too late, for those who had correct orders had died,
- 3:23and only those who had been invalidly consecrated remained to hand on their pretend
- 3:29orders. There's actually no such thing as an Anglican priest. Call m vicar,
- 3:36call them whatever you want. They're not actual priests. They cannot turn
- 3:42bread and wine into the body and blood of Christ. That was a great
- 3:47bane of contention. A certain relative of mine has a dear friend who is
- 3:53an Anglican minister. He was outraged and offended that he was not able to
- 4:00receive the eu Christ in a Catholic church or and this was the main thing
- 4:04he was upset about. Participate. He thought he had every right to walk
- 4:10up there and stand beside a Catholic priest and consecrate the body and blood of
- 4:15our Lord in a Catholic church. He's a fake priest. It's invalid.
- 4:21It would be the same, okay, all right. So I have my
- 4:26own little family, you know, just well, three elderly relatives. But
- 4:31at one time the Carols were quite a large family. I remember, you
- 4:35know, Thanksgiving at my grandmother's table, where there'd be aunts and uncles and
- 4:41cousins and oh, great grandchildren and grandchildren, and I mean the place was
- 4:46packed. There would also be all kinds of farm hands and different people,
- 4:48you know, friends and distant relatives and just neighbors that would come. She
- 4:54cooked for an army. Imagine for a moment, we're sitting there at the
- 5:00table and somebody last named Jones says, now on, I'm going to be
- 5:06a Carol. I'm a Carol because I'm sitting at the table with Carols and
- 5:12I want to call myself a Carol. Well, you say, well,
- 5:14no, you're not part of our family. Well what right of you said?
- 5:16What right of you to say I'm not part of your family? Well,
- 5:19you're not related to us. We don't share the same genes, we
- 5:23don't share the same blood, we don't share the same ancestors. That is
- 5:28essentially the Anglican Church. There was a common table, and King Henry,
- 5:33because the Church wouldn't let him divorce or cut his wife's heads off, broke
- 5:38away. And now, for some reason, many Anglicans think that they are
- 5:43Catholic. You're not Catholic. I'm sorry. If you want to become Catholic,
- 5:46you have to renounce the Anglican Church and then become Catholic. Yeah,
- 5:53even if you are a minister in the Anglican Church, even if you hold
- 5:57degrees from Oxford. It does not mean you actually have to come into the
- 6:03Catholic Church as any other catacumbin would. You have to go through RCIA classes.
- 6:09You have to learn and swear before God that you accept Catholic doctrine,
- 6:15a big part of which is accepting the authority of the Pope. And the
- 6:17Anglicans don't recognize the Pope. So no Anglican vicar or whatever you want to
- 6:25call him, no Anglican minister can participate in a valid Catholic sacrament. Now
- 6:32Baptism because it predates Christianity. John the Baptist obviously came before Christ, and
- 6:40baptism had been a tradition off and on in Judaism. Baptism could be performed
- 6:45by anyone. It does not have to be performed by a priest. The
- 6:47same is true of marriage. People get married in all kinds of different cultures.
- 6:51It predates Christianity, but all the other sacraments of the Church. Confirmation
- 6:59most ordantly actually, because you have to be confirmed, receive the Eucharist.
- 7:04In confirmation, you receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit. Your mind is
- 7:09enlightened, your heart is open. Confirmation completes what was begun in baptism.
- 7:15You cannot become confirmed in the Catholic Church until you have learned the doctrines of
- 7:19the Catholic Church and openly publicly sworn to profess them. Therefore, no Anglican
- 7:26can be a Catholic, nor can a Greek or Russian Orthodox. In order
- 7:30to become a Catholic, you have to actually become Catholic, and you're no
- 7:38different than an atheist or a Jew, or a Muslim or a Protestant of
- 7:44any other denomination. You have to actually go in most cases to RCA classes.
- 7:51I had an exception. The priest worked with me one on one because
- 7:56my work schedule is traveling all over at the time, I had to visit
- 8:00one hundred counties in North Carolina about two or three times a year to do
- 8:03my job. And he looked at and said, there's no way you can
- 8:05make our CIA once a week. I'm gonna work with you one on one
- 8:09and got permission from the bishop and we're gonna talk about bishops here in a
- 8:11minute. So I mean, our CIA is not essential, but what is
- 8:16essential is that the priest says, you understand all the doctors of the Catholic
- 8:22Church. And he's gonna grill you on him. He's gonna make sure you
- 8:24really believe it, because your soul depends on it. If you receive the
- 8:28Eucharist unworthily, you become guilty of the body and blood of Christ. That's
- 8:33what Jesus said. He will make sure you know exactly what it means to
- 8:39be Catholic, and then you will stand in front of witnesses and swear before
- 8:43God and the people in the church, your god parents they assigned to me.
- 8:46I didn't even know who these people were. Pre said, here's a
- 8:48couple. What respons for you? You know, I never saw me once
- 8:52or twice again, but you know that was formality. The main thing is
- 9:01had to dictate yes, I honestly do believe this. Otherwise couldn't become Catholic.
- 9:09And if I or any other Catholic breaks those vowels, we commit a
- 9:13mortal sin. A mortal sin. It is not a light thing to become
- 9:20Catholic. It's the same as committing adultery in a marriage. It's a mortal
- 9:26sin because you've broken your vowels. And then we get into the Eucharist,
- 9:31and there are many Catholics who don't do not fully believe that the bread and
- 9:35wine becomes the body and blood of Christ, and they commit a mortal sin.
- 9:39They may call themselves Catholics. They may believe they're Catholic, they may
- 9:43have been born into a Catholic family. That doesn't make them Catholic. You're
- 9:46only Catholic if you believe and hold and practice all the truths of the Catholic
- 9:50faith. You know, Joe Biden walks around with his Rosary and calls himself
- 9:56Catholic and promotes abortion. He is an state of mortal sin according to the
- 10:01Catechism of the Catholic Church. That's not me saying it. I'm saying that's
- 10:05what the Church teaches. He should be excommunicated. Remember, there's a petition
- 10:09to get him excommunicated by the US bishops for his own good and for the
- 10:16good of the entire church and the priests who knowingly give him the Eucharus when
- 10:20they shouldn't, And that's a sin as well. So anyway, let's see,
- 10:28we were talking about how the so called priests of the Anglican Order,
- 10:33the Anglican Church not Anglican Church, were once validly ordained Catholic Church, but
- 10:41they are no longer they are not in the Apostolic succession. He says,
- 10:48not a few Anglicans have tried to make sure of orders by reordination at the
- 10:54hand of schismatical bishops. That means bad Catholics. The Anglican bishop Not,
- 11:00writing in the National View for September nineteen twenty five, said, correctly,
- 11:03the Pope refused absolutely to recognize our Anglican orders on the ground that our grounds
- 11:09that our Church does not ordain priests to offer the sacrifice of the Mass.
- 11:15In other words, this Anglican Bishop Knox recognized that they had no authority to
- 11:22give the Eucharist, to turn the bread and wine into the body and blood
- 11:26of Christ. In spite of attempts made by our archbishop to conceal this defect,
- 11:31the Pope, from his point of view, was unquestionably right. It
- 11:35is true that certain priests in the Church of England offer so called masses,
- 11:39but as they were not ordained to the Church with the intention that they should
- 11:43offer the body and blood of Christ to the Father, the sacrament of their
- 11:46ordination is for this purpose a failure. The Prayer Book and Ordinal are simply
- 11:52Uncatholic, since they showed no sign of fulfilling the most important of all Catholic
- 11:58functions. There's an Anglican bishop admitting that the Anglicans have no authority to institute
- 12:07the sacraments. I mean, not to institute, but perform the sacraments other
- 12:13than baptism and marriage. And they allow divorce, so you know, what's
- 12:20the point of marriage? I mean they allow civil marriage. You know,
- 12:22Catholics don't allow civil marriage in England and in America. A judge who may
- 12:30be an atheist, a Satan worshiper, has every legal right to marry a
- 12:35couple. A ship captain has a legal right to marry a couple, just
- 12:37the same as does a priest. That's that's apostasy. I mean that is
- 12:45that is a true evil really upon which our law is founded. It.
- 12:54Eventually, nations set up on Protestant principles and English common law as it became
- 13:05interpreted once they broke away from Catholicism are doomed to fail because they're a house
- 13:13built on sand, not on the rock, which is Saint Peter. You
- 13:18may think I'm being unpatriotic. You may say, heck, you're a third
- 13:22English how can you say that? Well, yeah, my English blood is
- 13:26the House of Wessex, the English Catholic kings, the Great Catholic King,
- 13:33some of whom are saints, some of whom are like you know, King
- 13:35Richard Lionheart that fought in the Crusades. These are legendary figures. These are
- 13:39not the inbred dolt Charles or his pathetic sons. And I'm sorry I once
- 13:48held some respect for them, but I mean they have those three people,
- 13:56in the space of about one year, have raided the English monarchy to the
- 14:01point that even you know I see on Twitter all the time. I mean
- 14:05serious like monarchist English folk that I communicate with. Some of them are Catholic
- 14:13and some of whom are Anglican, and some of whom are another you know
- 14:16nothing. They're ashamed of the royal family. You know, they really should
- 14:22have started being ashamed of the royal family back with King Henry the eighth,
- 14:26you know, And then we can get into, oh my gosh, the
- 14:28whole thing around you know, Mary, Queen of Scots, and I mean
- 14:31there were some really bad folks that sat on that throne. I mean what
- 14:37they did to the Scots, Oh my gosh, horrible, what they did
- 14:45to the Irish horrible and why because they were Catholic, they would not recognize
- 14:50the king that made them traders to England, and therefore they you know,
- 14:54sold them as slaves, hunted them down like dogs, genocidal famine against entire
- 15:01country. I mean, you know, wow, I mean, you know,
- 15:07awful, awful stuff. There's really not one single redeeming quality of the
- 15:16British royal family or the Church of England. You know, post King Henry
- 15:22the Eighth. Uh yeah, I mean the queen who just died. She
- 15:28seemed to be pretty good, you know, but my words, he raised
- 15:33feral dogs as sons. I mean, come on, you know, one
- 15:37of them spent half his time on Epstein's Island apparently. I mean, these
- 15:41are not good people. The English should truly be embarrassed by the House of
- 15:48Wales, and which, in my opinion, was never validly the Royalty of
- 15:56England in the first place. I think they usurped the throne. But we
- 15:58could get into that another day. Might have probably you know, as a
- 16:03direct descendant of the House of Wessex, and rather controversial opinions on that.
- 16:08But honestly, I am I do not choose to identify as English not.
- 16:14I mean, I may have some of the greatest heroes of the British Empire
- 16:18and great saints in the Catholic Church as my ancestors through England, they're the
- 16:30current monarchy and the Church and their godless culture and their schools that were once
- 16:40great Catholic institutions that have been nothing but Marxists for the past one hundred years
- 16:45or so, their disgrace. I do not choose to identify as English because
- 16:52I am utterly ashamed of England post what fifteen thirty six? Yeah, as
- 17:03the Catholic Church was trying to wipe out slavery around the world, what did
- 17:06the English government do but embrace it. Had the English government not embraced slavery
- 17:11and imported to America, my ancestors wouldn't have died in the Civil War.
- 17:18I mean, there's nothing good about the English in its current form. The
- 17:26people are fantastic. Some of my best friends are you know, English,
- 17:30A lot of folks from Yorkshire, Cornwall and away from London. But no,
- 17:36I'm talking the pure, degraded pure What is that? That's a ironic
- 17:41statement, purely degraded. We'll see. Is there a better way to put
- 17:44it? The absolute manure that has been the legacy of England post the so
- 17:57called Reformation. I mean the Masonic order stronger in England than anywhere but Germany.
- 18:06What are the two forces that led us into a couple world wars,
- 18:10Well, Germany and England. I mean the Masons, which have as their
- 18:15goal to destroy the Catholic Church. Not exactly good, folks, not exactly
- 18:22good at all. I was so pleased to learn that George Washington, who
- 18:30had been the leader of his Masonic lodge, converted to Catholicism on his deathbed.
- 18:36What was the reaction to that? They tried to cover it up for
- 18:38about one hundred years in America. The Masons that controlled the newspapers and the
- 18:45textbooks and the schools did not want anybody to know that George Washington became Catholic.
- 18:52How ironic is that? Well, anyway, let's get on to the
- 18:56main topic of the day. Bishops, priests, and the faithful point one.
- 19:04Bishops are the successors of the apostles. This is the express teaching of
- 19:08the Vatican Council. The bishops differ only from the apostles and having a limited
- 19:14jurisdiction, while the mission of the Apostles was to the whole world. Moreover,
- 19:18the Apostles were personally infallible in their teaching, each one of them,
- 19:23you know, not Judas obviously, but he didn't make it into the church.
- 19:29He was dead before Pentecost Sunday. And having an extraordinary mission. They
- 19:33had an extraordinary gifts such as infallibility, the gift of tongues, and of
- 19:37miracles. And yeah, read the acts of the Apostles. They were doing
- 19:44some serious miracles. You know. Now days, somebody, you know,
- 19:48in some little storefront Protestant church will pop up and call himself Apostle Paul Smith
- 19:52or something. He's no apostle, he has not been ordained, he's not
- 19:56in the Apostolic succession. And and yeah he's not performing miracles. I mean
- 20:03what Saint Paul, his handkerchief was taken to people to heal them from their
- 20:07being sick. Saint Peter confronted two people was a Nias and Sapphire I think,
- 20:15who had withheld some money that they pledged the church, and they dropped
- 20:18dead. You know, yeah, this was serious power. This was the
- 20:26power of God on these on these men, simple men, simple fallible men.
- 20:32And given with that is the ability to bind and loose, which is
- 20:34to ordain others as they pass away. The bishops had the following powers.
- 20:41They guide that portion of the church assigned to them by the Pope and assist
- 20:47him in the government of the universal Church. From Apostolic times, bishops were
- 20:52appointed to single sees e g. Titus to Crete. A see is his
- 20:56his jurisdiction. You know, Titus was over the Church of Crete, and
- 21:00that's in Titus one five. These divisions of the church are called seas or
- 21:06dioceses. Some of them are very large. Paris for Paris, for example,
- 21:11contains more than three million souls. This was written in the eighteen nineties.
- 21:15It's quite a bit bigger now, but quite a bit less Catholic.
- 21:18The duties of busious more Muslim than anything else now, Muslim and Marxist.
- 21:25Yeah, I kind of took it as a sign when Notre Dame burned.
- 21:30It's like Francis done, and I said, you know, I am proudly
- 21:34a third French and I have a well at least as much to be ashamed
- 21:38of in France as I do in England. But I love the food,
- 21:42you know, you know, I always say my first love is food because
- 21:48I literally, you know, grew up in a kitchen cooking, and I
- 21:51don't. I wouldn't say I have more respect for the French than the English.
- 21:53Certainly not, and I wouldn't defend my English or French friends by saying
- 21:59that. But I do have more of an affinity to the food. That's
- 22:03it. What happened in the French Revolution, this the beginning of communism.
- 22:11I mean, it's shameful, it's disgusting. I mean, the streets were
- 22:14like knee deep in blood as they raped the nuns and set up the Goddess
- 22:18of Reason and Notre Dame. I mean, it was horrible and there's nothing
- 22:22good about the French Revolution. And it was equally bloody too when the English
- 22:29went after the Catholics in England who wouldn't swear allegiance to the king. They're
- 22:33both absolutely shameful. And you know, I'm going to have to put in
- 22:40Ireland because Ireland has become a secular country that has totally turned its back on
- 22:45the teachings of the Church. So well, now a man without a country,
- 22:49basically, I mean, I think America is purely evil in its current
- 22:56form. If we can get Biden out of there, get some God fearing
- 23:00people in, maybe we can turn the ship around. But no, I
- 23:06don't have a single good thing to say about the religious culture in its current
- 23:14form in England, France, Ireland or America. We're in a bad place.
- 23:22And the only way to get back to be in what they weren't were.
- 23:26I mean, France was the center of I mean it was the center
- 23:29of Catholicism. It was rival to Rome. England was once one of the
- 23:34greatest Catholic nations on earth, with the schools, especially Ireland. You know,
- 23:40Saint Patrick's Day was just yesterday. Ireland was like really the first great
- 23:45outpost of Catholicism. The only way it's like that quote attribute to detagfol You
- 23:52know, America is great because America's good. If America's had ceased to be
- 23:56good, America would no longer be great. The only way to bring any
- 24:02greatness back to those three nations is to make them good again, which means
- 24:10to make them Catholic again. And you know, everything in our popular culture
- 24:17and government and bureaucracy and schools and you name it is absolutely adamantly opposed to
- 24:23that. Well, what do you expect that's what Jesus promised us. He
- 24:29said, you know, we would be opposed, and that the you know,
- 24:33Satan is the king of this world, and he is his kingdom is
- 24:36not of this world, and so we're going to be a war. This
- 24:37is we're the church militant. I don't know when we decided to lay down
- 24:41our arms, but frankly, I think it's time to really revitalize the Order
- 24:47of the Hibernians. They were organized because Protestants kept attacking Catholic churches, burning
- 24:56him down and killing people, especially in Ireland where the English controlled, you
- 25:00know, most of the country. It happened big time, you know.
- 25:06I think it was in Boston, and the Irish Catholics got together and said,
- 25:08that's it. We're going to mass armed. We're strapping on a side
- 25:12arm. We're protecting this church. Now it seems to be just like a
- 25:17charitable club. Now. We really need to revitalize the Hiberians and other similar
- 25:22organizations because Muslims and frankly, trans weirdos are attacking churches and we need to
- 25:33be loving, peaceful people with a pistol on our hip to defend our family
- 25:37and our church and our priests. And everything that's dear to us. Yeah,
- 25:44there is a time to carry a sword. I mean, you know,
- 25:47there's a time for every season. Look back at Ecclesiastes. Sometimes we
- 25:52do have to stand up and fight and not be Hmm, how would I
- 25:57put it? Pope Frank answers Christians, I think you know what I mean.
- 26:03I mean, I mean he has to turn the other cheek. He'll
- 26:06basically bend over. I mean, come on, it is it's time we
- 26:11kind of man up. And you know, I don't think my priests would
- 26:17be happy to know I was carrying a pistol into the church. But you
- 26:22know, you got a concealed carry permit. You don't have to tell anybody.
- 26:26And if you've got five or six or a dozen Catholics, men preferably.
- 26:33I don't think women really fill that role very well. There's some do.
- 26:37And you've got maybe a couple of guys in the military, and they
- 26:41can do some basic training or law enforcement, and if you trust them.
- 26:45These days, it's kind of hard after you know, law enforcement has literally
- 26:48been weaponized against Catholics in America. But you got some you got some soldiers,
- 26:52you get some veterans. They can do a little training and you get
- 26:56you know, maybe a volunteer to be up ushers or you know, something
- 27:00else where you can just kind of keep your head off a swivel and see
- 27:03who's coming in and out. You could save hundreds of lives. And trust
- 27:07me, at that point, no one's could be criticizing you for carrying a
- 27:11concealed weapon into a church. H of course, if it's legal in your
- 27:15state, and if it's not legal in your state, maybe you need to
- 27:18go to another state. You know, South Carolina just passed constitutional carry.
- 27:22It's a little better than North Carolina. Tennessee has much better regulations than either
- 27:26state. You know. Honestly, my state's coming along slowly. Used to
- 27:33be really up until last year, you had to have a pistol permit to
- 27:37buy a pistol, and that goes back to when the Klan was running everything.
- 27:42The Masons the Democrat Party, and they didn't want black folk to have
- 27:47guns. They certainly didn't want Catholics to have guns, so your local sheriff
- 27:49had to sign off on your ability to carry a pistol. Well, in
- 27:55my lifetime, it wasn't so much dominated by the clan, but it was
- 27:57basically if you didn't put some money in your local sheriff's reelection campaign, you
- 28:03might not get that permit. Well, they finally overturned that, and I'm
- 28:07hoping we're gonna have some good legislation coming out because you know, we they're
- 28:14about to let in. I think they said seven hundred thousand Palestinians are gonna
- 28:19be branded the country in the next couple of months. I hate to break
- 28:26it to y'all. I mean you liberals that are out there protesting in favor
- 28:33of a free Palestine and are advocating wiping Israel off the face of the earth.
- 28:38That's the whole, you know, from the ocean, of the sea
- 28:41or whatever it is. They don't like you. I have. I've had
- 28:45plenty of good Muslim prints. I'm not talking that. We're talking people who
- 28:48literally want to kill Christians and Jews. You know, if you're a church
- 28:56and someone comes in and opens fire, what do you gonna do? Sure,
- 29:00you can doell on nine one one when the cops show up a half
- 29:04hour later, and then secure the perimeter and hang out outside like they did
- 29:10at that that school in Texas, and wait for everybody to be slaughtered before
- 29:14they enter the building. You know, where are you gonna be? You
- 29:21want to see your wife and kids killed? I mean, come on,
- 29:26I'm sorry, but it was a Uvalde, Texas. Those cops were cowards
- 29:32who let children be slaughtered. You don't. You need to depend on yourself
- 29:40and your friend, your buddy in that church, and you guys need to
- 29:44have a plan and if we can bring back, you know, an organization
- 29:48like the Hibernians, I'm not even sure if I'm pronouncing that right obviously to
- 29:52do such as set but you know, I was talking to a friend of
- 29:56mine. Ireland. They have a complete gun van. I mean they can't
- 29:59even I mean, if they have to protect their church from Muslims, I
- 30:02guess they're going to have to use baseball bats or something. I mean,
- 30:06it's just ridiculous. It's just the only reason you disarm a people is to
- 30:11make them vulnerable. You know, there is no terrorists. There's no criminal
- 30:17that's going to walk up and see a sign on the doors as a gun
- 30:19free zone and say, oh, I guess I can't go in there.
- 30:22No, they're going to go in there and say easy pickings. I got
- 30:26them. Well anyway, oh I may have to break this one to a
- 30:30couple of sections, going to go on some many tangents, all right.
- 30:34So Paris at that time had three main souls. The duty of the bishops
- 30:38are to educate candidates for the priesthood, to create and confer offices in the
- 30:45church, to give faculties to confessors, to see the religious education, to
- 30:51see too, the religious education of his flock, to revise books written on
- 30:55religious subjects, to settle the days of fasting, et cetera. In addition,
- 31:00he confers the sacraments of confirmation and orders reserve certain sins to his own
- 31:07jurisdiction. I don't think most bishops really think about that these days, but
- 31:11they can say, well, let's say a certain politicians is out there promoting
- 31:17abortion, and that bishop could say in his diocese, no, you priests,
- 31:23your parish priests. If he comes to you, you send him to
- 31:27me. Consecrates churches, chalices and holy oils, et cetera. Each bishop
- 31:37has the right of voting in general councils. The bishops are not merely assistance
- 31:41to the pope, but they are actually guides of the church. They are
- 31:45the shepherds of their representative flocks. They are appointed by the holy ghosts to
- 31:49rule the Church of God. That's the reference to Acts twenty yeah twenty twenty
- 31:56eight. I believe they are also called princes of the Church. They have
- 32:00ordinary or intermediate jurisdiction. They are often called ordinaries. They are assisted by
- 32:06a number of canons who make up a body called the Chapter. One of
- 32:08those canons becomes Vicar capitular if the sea becomes vacant. In other words,
- 32:15he can kind of fill in for a while and governs the diocese inuntil a
- 32:17new bishop is elected. The bishop himself usually appoints the Chapter. In rare
- 32:23instances, the pope or the archbishop. Many bishops have an assistant in the
- 32:29form of a co coadjutor bishop or a vicar General. The dignity of a
- 32:34bishop, says Saint Ambrose, is higher than that of a king. The
- 32:37privileges of the order are as follows, the right to where a miter,
- 32:42the sign of the leadership, and to carry the crozier, which has curved
- 32:45to the end as a sign of his limited jurisdiction. He also wears a
- 32:50ring symbolical of his union with the diocese, and a pectoral cross. The
- 32:54faithful kiss his hand and he is addressed by the Pope as brother because as
- 32:59a Bilish he has the same rank as the Pope. You know, just
- 33:02the reason King Henry didn't have the right to form his own church. The
- 33:07Bishop of Canterbury, I think, yeah, that was it actually had a
- 33:12higher authority than the King of England. The bishops are subject to the Pope
- 33:16and owe him obedience. The Pope gives their jurisdiction to bishops, and no
- 33:22bishop may exercise his office without being recognized and confirmed by the Pope. He
- 33:28is obliged also to go to Rome to report on the state of his diocese.
- 33:32He may appeal. An appeal may always be made from a bishop to
- 33:37a pope. Bishops such as the Greek or Anglican who declined submission to the
- 33:42Pope are neither members of the church, nor have they any jurisdiction, even
- 33:47when they have valid orders, which the Anglicans don't anymore. There are still
- 33:53valid orders in the Greek Orthodox Church. I'm not sure about all the Orthodox
- 33:59tri urches, but they did not break Apostolic succession, but they're still not
- 34:07Catholic. Archbishops are Metropolitans are bishops who have powers over other bishops, and
- 34:12if I'm wrong about that, I mean, if they don't have apostolic succession
- 34:15still, you know, someone correct me. But that's what I've read and
- 34:19been told. They're still cut off from the church because they don't acknowledge the
- 34:24pope. Some have the privilege of wearing the pollium, a white strip of
- 34:29wool on the shoulder, symbolical of gentleness and humility. The primate is still
- 34:34a higher dignitary and is bishop the whole nation. Above him in rank is
- 34:37the patriarch or exarch x arch, who in former times was set over the
- 34:44Metropolitans. The bishop of antiak Alexandria and Rome were patriarchs because these seas were
- 34:50founded by Saint Peter. In our days, the title patriarch and primates signifying
- 34:54nothing more than the precedents of dignity. They are not of a divine in
- 35:00There are also others of the clergy who are termed prelates. Some of them
- 35:06enjoy most or all the power of bishops, and they are called vicars apostolic.
- 35:12There are others whose title is merely honorary. The priests are the assistants
- 35:16of the bishops. They receive their orders from the Bishop, and so are
- 35:21his spiritual sons. Their businesses to carry out the command of the bishops.
- 35:25Even when they are called to assistant councils. They do not vote as judges,
- 35:29but only as councilors. Nor have they the powers to excommunicate. The
- 35:34priests only have a portion of the episcopal power, and their office may be
- 35:37exercised only with the sanction of the bishop. This sanction is called the canonical
- 35:43mission missio canonicthic. The dress of the priests is a sustaine or black garment
- 35:52reaching to the feet. Parish priests are those whom the bishop has confided permanently
- 35:58in charge of district. The district is called a parish Dean is the title
- 36:04given to the parish priest of the larger districts. In the assignment of a
- 36:07parish, the bishop usually shows some consideration for the wishes of the patron or
- 36:13patrons i either person or persons who have been and are conspicuous benefactors of the
- 36:20district. The parish priest is the representative of the parish. Priest is the
- 36:25representative of the bishop, and no one may without his leave exercise spiritual functions
- 36:31in the parish. Such as preaching, baptizing, giving extreme function, marrying
- 36:37or burying. Of course, that means within the Catholic Church, Parish priests
- 36:42are also appointed by bishop over the priests of a large district. Parish priests
- 36:47who are appointed by the bishop over the priests of a large district are called
- 36:52world deans. They make visitations of the parishes and act as intermediate areas with
- 36:57the bishop. Parish priests of law larger districts have assistants or curates. And
- 37:02the final point, he is a Catholic is one who has been baptized and
- 37:07professes himself to be a member of the Catholic Church. Isn't it interesting how
- 37:10this always seems to go full circle. It's like it's on it just blows
- 37:15by mind. But anyway, the Church is a community into which it minutes
- 37:20is gained by baptism. Thus, the three thousand baptized on the first Pentecost
- 37:24became members of the Church. Acts two forty one. Moreover, a man
- 37:29must make external profession of being a member of the church, so that anyone
- 37:32who breaks away, for instance, by heresy, no longer belongs to the
- 37:37church in spite of his baptism, though he is not thereby freed from his
- 37:42obligation to the Church. Neither Heathens, Jews, heretics, nor schismatics are
- 37:46members of the Church. According to the Council of Florence, though children baptized
- 37:52validly in other communions really belong to it. Well, well, he's gonna
- 37:57explain four. As Saint Augustine says, baptism is the privilege of the True
- 38:00Church, and so the benefits which flow from baptism are necessary fruits which belong
- 38:06only to the True Church. Children baptized in other communions. That means other
- 38:12denominations cease to be members of the Church only when, after reaching the age
- 38:15of reason, they make formal profession of heresy, as for example, receiving
- 38:22communion in a non Catholic church. Well, and it means a formal profession.
- 38:25Okay, So all Christians are baptized in the body of Christ, one
- 38:30may cut himself off from well much of that grace beyond you know, basic
- 38:39belief. If one a knowingly, knowingly rejects the teachings of the Catholic Church
- 38:50and by which they have to know they're true, you know you're judged by
- 38:53what you know, and reject him out of bigotry or you know whatever.
- 39:00Yeah, it's pretty bad if someone stands up there and says, you know,
- 39:04Catholics worship the devil and therefore you have to be Baptist. If they
- 39:07actually believe the Catholic Church is the real church, they could be judged p
- 39:12really pretty harshly by Jesus, you know, who founded that church and knows
- 39:16their heart. Anyway, that would definitely be a sin against the Holy Spirit.
- 39:22The Christians were first known by the name Nazarenes from Nazareth or Galileeans from
- 39:27Galilee. It was first in Antioch that the name Christian came to be used
- 39:31Acts eleven twenty six, and the name Christian is appropriate. We are followers
- 39:36of Christ willing to be conformed in the image of Christ Romans eight twenty nine.
- 39:42We receive our name, says Saint John Christostom, not from an earthly
- 39:45ruler, nor from an angel, nor from an archangel, nor from a
- 39:49seraphim, but from the King of all the earth. A true Catholic is
- 39:52not only one who has been baptized and belongs to the Church, but who
- 39:55also makes serious efforts to secure his eternal salvation, who believes the teaching of
- 40:01the Church, keeps the commandments of God and of the Church. Who receives
- 40:06the sacraments and prays to God in the matter in the manner prescribed by Christ,
- 40:13he is not a true Christian who is ignorant of his faith. Such
- 40:15an one might as well call himself a doctor, though without knowing medicine.
- 40:20Nor is he a true Christian, saint, says Saint Justin, who does
- 40:23not live as Christ taught him to live. Our Lord said to the Jews,
- 40:27if you be children of Abraham, do the works of Abraham John eight
- 40:31thirty nine. And he might say as well, say to Christians, if
- 40:35you be Christians, do the work of Christ. If you want to be
- 40:37Christian, says Saint Gregory Nazianzen, you must live the life of Christ.
- 40:43Saint Augustine said. A true Christian is a man who is gentle, good
- 40:46and merciful to all, and shares his bread with the poor. Christ himself
- 40:51said that his disciples should be known by their love for one another John thirteen
- 40:55thirty five. A Christian who neglects the sacraments is like a soldier who has
- 41:00no weapons. What responsibility he incurs. Lewis of Granada said a field which
- 41:06is well tended is expected to yield a richer harvests. So more good works
- 41:10are expected from a Christian than a heathen, because the Christian has greater graces.
- 41:15Every Catholic has his rights and duties. He has a special claim and
- 41:20the means of grace supplied by the Church, and he is obliged to obey
- 41:22his ecclesiastical superiors in spiritual matters, and to make provision for their support,
- 41:28as well as that for that of God's service. A good Catholic ought to
- 41:32also hear the word of God, receive the necessary sacraments, take part in
- 41:37the divine service, and he has a right to a Christian burial. The
- 41:42Church forces nobody to enter its pale, but whoever becomes a member of his
- 41:45own free will and remain so, must be subject to the laws of the
- 41:50Church. Under certain circumstances. Those who disobey the laws of the Church are
- 41:54excommunicated or shut out from the Church. They lose their claim to spiritual goods
- 41:59of the Church. They may not join in divine service, nor receive the
- 42:02sacraments, nor an office in the church, nor a Christian burial. That's
- 42:07something a lot of people really don't understand some offices involve excommunication ipso facto.
- 42:15Some offenses involve ex communication ipso facto, for instance, apostasy, dueling,
- 42:22and free masonry. That's right. If you join the Masons, you are
- 42:27ipso facto excommunicated. You've excommunicated yourself. If you are an apostate, such
- 42:35as King Henry the eighth, such as Joe Biden, you've excommunicated yourself and
- 42:40dueling because you are willing to kill another person, not in defense of your
- 42:46own life, but usually in defensive honor. Also ipso facts so excommunicated that
- 42:52Pious the ninth in eighteen sixty nine made that clear. In other cases,
- 42:59the excommunication must be formally pronounced, and that too after warning and trial,
- 43:02such as in the case of the old Catholic bishops Rincoln and Rincoln's dulager,
- 43:08Saint Ambrose, forbade the Emperor Theodosius to enter the church after the latter had,
- 43:13by his orders, caused the slaughter some several thousand people in Thessalonica,
- 43:19and it was only after doing severe penance that he was admitted. We know
- 43:22too that Saint Paul caught off from the church a vicious Corinthian one Corinthians five
- 43:29thirteen. The state exercises a similar power in banishing criminals. So yes,
- 43:36Joe Biden needs to be excommunicated. Please sign that petition. If you haven't
- 43:39done so already, please spread the word on that it's for his own good,
- 43:45but also the good of the entire church, because he's creating great scandal.
- 43:51I would say it's apostasy. You know, someone more versed in canlaw
- 43:55could say one word or the other, one way or the other. They
- 43:59certainly committing immortal according to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and leading many
- 44:02people astray and into sin, and it needs to be done. Sigael,
- 44:08remember the words of Saint Padre Pio, pray, hope, and don't worry.
- 44:12I'll talk to you next time.
