  Speaker 2: A giant is something that happens in your life that
• 4:29
  Speaker 2: sayings so big, so insurvivable, and you appear so small
• 4:37
  Speaker 2: that you cannot win the battle. And giants come in
• 4:45
  Speaker 2: many forms. It might be physical, it might be financial,
• 4:52
  Speaker 2: it might even be spiritual. The enemy, excuse me, will
• 4:59
  Speaker 2: use these giants in our life to make us think
• 5:03
  Speaker 2: that we can't win the battle. And the thing about
• 5:08
  Speaker 2: giants is that they already defeat us in our minds.
• 5:14
  Speaker 2: If we think that we can't do something, we won't
• 5:19
  Speaker 2: even try. And if you don't try, you will never win.

  Speaker 2: But if you realize, like David, David fought the giant
• 5:35
  Speaker 2: and he finds out that giants do die. Let's look
• 5:40
  Speaker 2: at the picture. David comes and he sees the great
• 5:47
  Speaker 2: men of battle hiding and scared and afraid, and he's like,
• 5:55
  Speaker 2: what's going on here? And they're like, this giant comes
• 6:01
  Speaker 2: every day and torn us. And that's how the giants
• 6:05
  Speaker 2: are in our lives. They come every day and torn
• 6:10
  Speaker 2: us and tease us and tell us we can't win,
• 6:13
  Speaker 2: that we might as well throw out in a towel.

  Speaker 2: That is all over for us. And we listen to
• 6:19
  Speaker 2: those giants and we start to believe that we're already defeated.
• 6:23
  Speaker 2: But how many people know that when God gets in
• 6:27
  Speaker 2: the mix, hallelujah, we're already winners, We're already victorious, We're
• 6:35
  Speaker 2: already overcomers any problem that comes in our life. God
• 6:41
  Speaker 2: is bigger than that. Don't put God in a box.
• 6:45
  Speaker 2: God is bigger than any box that we can put
• 6:48
  Speaker 2: him in. He's bigger than any problem, any obstacle, any mountain.

  Speaker 2: God is bigger. And we, in our own strength cannot

  Speaker 2: defeat the giants in our life. But with God, everything

  Speaker 2: is possible. So David, David knew that even though he
• 7:12
  Speaker 2: was small in size, he was just a boy that
• 7:18
  Speaker 2: everybody was like, oh, this has been a man of
• 7:21
  Speaker 2: war since his youth. You can't go against this giant.

  Speaker 2: You'll never win. But see, David had something that they
• 7:31
  Speaker 2: didn't have. He had experience with God. He said, Look,
• 7:37
  Speaker 2: when I was out there in the field watching those
• 7:41
  Speaker 2: sheet a lion tried to come, and a bear tried
• 7:45
  Speaker 2: to come, but I defeated them all with the help
• 7:50
  Speaker 2: of God. And now that I'm gonna go against this old,
• 7:55
  Speaker 2: filthy philistine, I know God's gonna show up. Because Godd
• 8:00
  Speaker 2: is not going to be embarrassed. God is not going
• 8:03
  Speaker 2: to be defeated. He is going to show up. So
• 8:07
  Speaker 2: knowing that knowledge that when you fight your giants, you
• 8:12
  Speaker 2: do not fight your giants alone, but God is in
• 8:17
  Speaker 2: the mix, and the giants do die. Giants do for
• 8:24
  Speaker 2: they can keep us imprisoned in our minds forever. Once

  Speaker 2: we fight the enemy with the knowledge that we know
• 8:36
  Speaker 2: that God is with us. If God be with us,
• 8:41
  Speaker 2: who can be against us? And God is not like
• 8:46
  Speaker 2: man that he should lie, nor the son of man

  Speaker 2: that he should repent. But every word that proceeded out

  Speaker 2: of God's mouth is going to go where it was set.

  Speaker 2: So then they try to put David on Saw's armor,

  Speaker 2: and he was uncomfortable and he had never tried it,
• 9:11
  Speaker 2: so he said, no, no, no, I can't wear this.

  Speaker 2: This doesn't fit me. And sometimes we try to fit
• 9:20
  Speaker 2: into people's scenarios of us and people's identity of who
• 9:26
  Speaker 2: we think we should be. They speak negativity in our life.

  Speaker 2: Oh no, you can't go back to school, you're too old.
• 9:37
  Speaker 2: Oh no, you can't do a podcast, who's gonna listen.
• 9:42
  Speaker 2: Oh no, you can't write a book, who's gonna read it?

  Speaker 2: And you listen to these things and they become giants
• 9:51
  Speaker 2: in your life, things that you think that you over
• 9:55
  Speaker 2: can overcome, because that's what the giant uses. He uses
• 10:02
  Speaker 2: our mind against us. We are our own enemies. Sometimes
• 10:10
  Speaker 2: the giants that we have to fight are inside of us.
• 10:15
  Speaker 2: They're not outside, but they're inside. We have begun to
• 10:21
  Speaker 2: internalize what people say. If David had to listen to
• 10:26
  Speaker 2: the masses saying he was too young, he wasn't a quit,
• 10:31
  Speaker 2: he never would have went against the giant, and the
• 10:35
  Speaker 2: giant would have continued towarding them day after day after
• 10:39
  Speaker 2: day after day. But David said, let me go and
• 10:44
  Speaker 2: face that giant. I'm not gonna go alone. I'm gonna
• 10:48
  Speaker 2: go with God. And that's what we have to do
• 10:50
  Speaker 2: in life. We can't go alone. We can't go in
• 10:54
  Speaker 2: our own strength because sometimes the giants show up as
• 11:01
  Speaker 2: drug abuse, substance abuse, infidelity. These giants show up in
• 11:10
  Speaker 2: our life and we feel like we can't beat them
• 11:15
  Speaker 2: because time after time after time we go back to
• 11:19
  Speaker 2: the giant. But David said, m M. Not only am
• 11:24
  Speaker 2: I gonna knock this giant out, but I'm gonna kill him.
• 11:28
  Speaker 2: And we see later on in the story that he
• 11:31
  Speaker 2: goes back and kills the rest of the Philistine so
• 11:36
  Speaker 2: that they will never rise up their head against There's
• 11:40
  Speaker 2: some giants that you have to kill. You just can't
• 11:44
  Speaker 2: knock them down because they continue reappearing and reappearing. It's
• 11:51
  Speaker 2: like when I was young, they used to always pick
• 11:56
  Speaker 2: me last and call me name, and I began to
• 12:01
  Speaker 2: internalize those names. People telling me that I was never
• 12:06
  Speaker 2: gonna be nothing, that I was never gonna accomplish anything.
• 12:10
  Speaker 2: And I began to feel unworthy, unworthy to even God,
• 12:14
  Speaker 2: because I was looking at God like he was man,
• 12:17
  Speaker 2: and that when I really really start depending on him,
• 12:21
  Speaker 2: He's gonna leave me. I'm not worthy of God's love.
• 12:26
  Speaker 2: And that's how I felt until I got a relationship
• 12:30
  Speaker 2: with him. Say I had a form of Godliness, but
• 12:33
  Speaker 2: I was denied the power within. When you get a
• 12:38
  Speaker 2: relationship with God, there is no giant that you cannot defeat.
• 12:44
  Speaker 2: There's no circumstance, no situation, no doctor's report, no bankers
• 12:50
  Speaker 2: statement that you cannot get over with God. You gotta
• 12:56
  Speaker 2: believe that if God allows you to lose something, he's
• 13:00
  Speaker 2: giving you something better. So David took that sling shot
• 13:08
  Speaker 2: and those five stones and he went up against the giant.
• 13:17
  Speaker 2: And sometimes your giants will laugh in your face. This
• 13:22
  Speaker 2: is who you're sent to defeat me. All you grown
• 13:27
  Speaker 2: men are hiding behind the rocks, and you send this
• 13:31
  Speaker 2: little boy with his toy to defeat me, the great
• 13:37
  Speaker 2: goliath that I've put fear in all of your hearts.
• 13:41
  Speaker 2: And now you'll sin this little boy, this little sheep boy,
• 13:47
  Speaker 2: still spelling of the field. You'll send him to defeat me.
• 13:53
  Speaker 2: Are you crazy? And David kept coming shot and hit
• 14:02
  Speaker 2: go Gliath in the head, and Gliath fell down, So
• 14:07
  Speaker 2: we know that giants do full But then David cut
• 14:12
  Speaker 2: off his head to make sure that we wouldn't return. See,
• 14:18
  Speaker 2: sometimes when we fight giants and we knock them down,
• 14:23
  Speaker 2: but we don't kill them. Like I said earlier, they
• 14:26
  Speaker 2: keep resurfacing in our life. They keep recirculing in our
• 14:32
  Speaker 2: physical life. They keep recircling in our spiritual life. They
• 14:36
  Speaker 2: keep reservants and coming back and durning us, saying, you
• 14:43
  Speaker 2: thought you killed me, Nanana, boo boo, you can't kill me.
• 14:49
  Speaker 2: And they come back and they become strongholds in your life,
• 14:57
  Speaker 2: and you don't even want to try anymore. Some of
• 15:00
  Speaker 2: you have been through some obstacles and disappointments and heartbreak,
• 15:07
  Speaker 2: that you don't want to try it anymore. You've declared
• 15:11
  Speaker 2: that you'll never love again, that you'll never get close
• 15:14
  Speaker 2: enough to another person. It's become a giant in your life,
• 15:21
  Speaker 2: and you think you can overcome it. Ah, But I'm
• 15:26
  Speaker 2: here to tell you on tonight that giants do die,
• 15:33
  Speaker 2: and that God will show up and everyone of your
• 15:38
  Speaker 2: situations and your circumstances. It's happen to through a lot
• 15:43
  Speaker 2: of things and life, and God showed up because in
• 15:51
  Speaker 2: the beginning, the first thing that happened to me was
• 15:55
  Speaker 2: the worst thing that I could imagine. It was a
• 16:00
  Speaker 2: big giant. It seemed like it was insurmountable. That people
• 16:07
  Speaker 2: kept saying, I don't know how you made it, how
• 16:13
  Speaker 2: you stood in that cemetery and saw them lower your
• 16:18
  Speaker 2: son into the ground. But God was with me. He said,
• 16:23
  Speaker 2: I'll never leave you, or I'll never forsake you. I
• 16:28
  Speaker 2: will be with you until the end of time. I
• 16:34
  Speaker 2: will be with you. And he was. He showed up.
• 16:40
  Speaker 2: He showed up in my life and my circumstances that
• 16:45
  Speaker 2: something I thought I could never get through, that I
• 16:49
  Speaker 2: wasn't strong enough but God was my strength. I didn't
• 16:54
  Speaker 2: have to be strong. He was strong for me. So
• 16:58
  Speaker 2: then and I had to go through the fire, when
• 17:03
  Speaker 2: I went through the divorce, when I went through the
• 17:08
  Speaker 2: massive stroke and the cancer ninses, I knew that God
• 17:13
  Speaker 2: was with me. Despite of the doctor's report, despite of
• 17:19
  Speaker 2: the doctor's prognosis of what I wouldn't be able to
• 17:23
  Speaker 2: do and not be able to do, God was with me.
• 17:30
  Speaker 2: I didn't go in my own strength, because you see,
• 17:33
  Speaker 2: when we are weak, that's when God is strong. When
• 17:40
  Speaker 2: we face giants that we think we just can't beat.
• 17:47
  Speaker 2: We can't beat that drug addiction, we can't beat that foreclosure,
• 17:54
  Speaker 2: we can't beat that sickness. We can't beat our children
• 17:58
  Speaker 2: acting her and our spouses acting funny. These things come
• 18:03
  Speaker 2: in our life and we feel like we just can't win.
• 18:10
  Speaker 2: We want to throw in a towel and we want
• 18:13
  Speaker 2: to give up, and we start making excuses why we
• 18:20
  Speaker 2: can't defeat the giant. But what we don't do is
• 18:26
  Speaker 2: allow God to be God. We have to allow God
• 18:30
  Speaker 2: to be God in our life that no matter what
• 18:34
  Speaker 2: we're going through, understand that God has our best interests
• 18:40
  Speaker 2: at heart, that God has a plan for our life,
• 18:44
  Speaker 2: no matter what it looks like. The giant is not
• 18:48
  Speaker 2: supposed to kill us, but we are supposed to defeat
• 18:54
  Speaker 2: our giants. So don't let your giant defeat you in
• 18:59
  Speaker 2: your mind. Don't be walking around free but imprison in
• 19:04
  Speaker 2: your mind thinking that you just can't make it. You
• 19:11
  Speaker 2: just can't do it. Oh, with God, all things are possible.

  Speaker 2: I will forever look towards the hills from which comes

  Speaker 2: my health. All of my help comes from the Lord.

  Speaker 2: It doesn't matter that life knocks me down through some

  Speaker 2: curve balls, had me almost leveled to the ground. Yes,

  Speaker 2: the towel, but God wouldn't let me. There's a song

  Speaker 2: who I say you are. Don't allow people to identify

  Speaker 2: God's spoken to my spirit, and once I got a

  Speaker 2: are for serving God, I began to realize who my

  Speaker 2: doctorate in theology. And no glory belongs to me. But

  Speaker 2: it was God. He deserves all the glory. He deserves

  Speaker 2: me and all around me, and I thought I was

  Speaker 2: Or do you think he's a genie? You only thank

  Speaker 2: God when things are going well, when the people look good,

  Speaker 2: they're standing up and they're declaring God's glory. But laying down,

  Speaker 2: I can still say thank you Jesus. And I'm still

  Speaker 2: doing what God has me to do, the purpose that
• 23:56
  Speaker 2: for which God saved me. So you mad because you

  Speaker 2: got two arms and two legs and you can go

  Speaker 2: where you want to go, but you won't go where

  Speaker 2: God sent you and do what God tells you to do.

  Speaker 2: whatever the excuse is. But because I'm going in Jesus' name,
