- 0:15Speaker 1: All right now we can move on can the real
- 0:19Speaker 1: world can we after this not really but we still
- 0:24Speaker 1: have to threaten people god forbid we not get a
- 0:28Speaker 1: movie thread in so um i was going through we
- 0:32Speaker 1: don't really have any specific things that crossed over with
- 0:35Speaker 1: this week sometimes i find a thread this time i
- 0:38Speaker 1: just went with this one because i like the idea
- 0:41Speaker 1: it's Equally as ridiculous as everything else we've been talking about.
- 0:46Speaker 1: So the one I came across is Kill Katie Malone.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Ooh.
- 0:53Speaker 3: You like the idea of Katie Malone being killed?
- 0:57Speaker 2: Once we get into this.
- 0:59Speaker 1: So the plot, according to the back of a box
- 1:01Speaker 1: that I found, says, College kids and best friends, Ginger, Jim,
- 1:05Speaker 1: and Dixie. I mean, don't you like these kids already?
- 1:08Speaker 1: They pool their cash to buy a.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Ghost in an online auction.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Are you not on board? I got to that and
- 1:15Speaker 3: I was.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Like, yeah, this is so dumb. I can see us
- 1:18Speaker 1: doing it. Stop reading and just press play. And just
- 1:21Speaker 1: start watching that movie.
- 1:22Speaker 3: That's what I thought. So, yeah.
- 1:23Speaker 1: The three think it's a goof, but once they open
- 1:26Speaker 1: up the antique box to examine their treasure, in quotes,
- 1:30Speaker 1: they unleash the vengeful spirit of an Irish servant girl
- 1:33Speaker 1: who's been wreaking havoc on her owners throughout generations.
- 1:37Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:39Speaker 2: That sounds fun.
- 1:41Speaker 1: I mean, I'm kind of okay with putting that.
- 1:42Speaker 3: On the list. IMD described it in a nutshell as fantastic, thrilling,
- 1:46Speaker 3: and violent.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Well, there you go.
- 1:48Speaker 1: These are words we're looking for in our movies. So, yeah,
- 1:52Speaker 1: if you guys don't come up with something better, I'm
- 1:54Speaker 1: fine with putting Kill Katie Malone on the list.
- 1:56Speaker 3: It's got Stephen Coletti in it, which I think is
- 1:58Speaker 3: an actual actor. Hmm. I don't know that it is.
- 2:02Speaker 1: But anyway.
- 2:03Speaker 3: It's got someone named Lil' J.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Maybe we're taking it back off the list.
- 2:09Speaker 2: I didn't know Lil' J was in this.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Never mind. So, yeah.
- 2:15Speaker 1: I like it if people just come up with movies
- 2:17Speaker 1: all on their own and join the club and put
- 2:19Speaker 1: them on our list and then we don't have to
- 2:21Speaker 1: come up with this nonsense. But instead, I have to
- 2:23Speaker 1: go out in the world and find a ghost that
- 2:25Speaker 1: you buy online.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Hey, Stephen Coletti was on One Tree Hill. That's a show.
- 2:30Speaker 3: Which season? Ah, that's a good question.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Because it takes a turn.
- 2:36Speaker 1: It's like, awesome, awesome. Wait, what are we doing? And
- 2:39Speaker 1: by the end, I was like, is this show still on?
- 2:42Speaker 1: If Hillary's not here, you're wasting my time. Speaking of
- 2:46Speaker 1: wasting time, if you don't give us something better, we're
- 2:49Speaker 1: going to say things, and then we're going to say
- 2:51Speaker 1: ridiculous things like this.
- 2:54Speaker 2: He's gorgeous. The sister's gorgeous. Their cousin's gorgeous. This is
- 2:59Speaker 2: why everybody's hooking up.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Well, knowing you, that sounds like you, but I don't
- 3:05Speaker 1: know what happened.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Hopefully, you didn't die. No, I did. I don't think so.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Okay.
- 3:10Speaker 3: I felt like I was going to die.
- 3:11Speaker 1: If you're a g-g-g-ghost, you have to tell us now.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Oh, I would tell you.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Okay.
- 3:14Speaker 3: I would be cool with it, actually.
- 3:17Speaker 1: First one almost ties to the movie.
- 3:20Speaker 3: I mean, does.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Kind of, but indirectly. Or directly, but so distantly that
- 3:25Speaker 1: it doesn't really tie to the movie.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Like, you don't have to see it.
- 3:28Speaker 1: But it has a very specific thing from the movie
- 3:31Speaker 1: that plays an important part in it.
- 3:34Speaker 3: A friend of mine has recently turned me on to necrophilia.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Oh.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Zombies versus infected people versus not zombies versus being dead
- 3:46Speaker 2: or undead versus just sick. That was fun.
- 3:51Speaker 3: I don't remember any, during the mad cow disease, I
- 3:56Speaker 3: don't remember any reports of man eating hamburger patties.
- 4:01Speaker 1: I wish.
- 4:03Speaker 2: And in this one, he continues to be creepy, but like,
- 4:08Speaker 2: he can also kind of get it.
- 4:10Speaker 1: I think that's what I've heard about this movie. I
- 4:14Speaker 1: feel like everybody's getting it in this movie. Okay.
- 4:17Speaker 3: It's very sexual.
- 4:19Speaker 2: All right.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Yeah. Way more than I, like I kind of knew
- 4:23Speaker 1: some of it was going there, but there's a lot of,
- 4:25Speaker 1: a lot of focus on the free will. If you're,
- 4:29Speaker 1: if you're given this life, what are you going to
- 4:31Speaker 1: do with it? And you realize really quickly if there's
- 4:35Speaker 1: nothing else telling you not to do that, why wouldn't
- 4:37Speaker 1: you just do that?
- 4:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Some of them were just like, nope, they just dig
- 4:42Speaker 3: up corpses and fiddle around with them. And I'm like, Ooh.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Yeah. It ties to one of mine.
- 4:50Speaker 3: And fiddle around is putting it mildly.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Yeah. That one's a more fun one, because at least
- 4:57Speaker 1: she's back from the dead, so you know.
- 5:00Speaker 2: So I could see how it's very controversial. I told
- 5:02Speaker 2: my friends afterwards, I was like, I don't want to
- 5:04Speaker 2: directly recommend it to you, because I don't want you
- 5:07Speaker 2: to watch it and go, Nora told me to watch this?
- 5:09Speaker 2: Nora's a freak. Which we already know that, so it's okay.
- 5:14Speaker 3: But your regular friends, they're not prepared for that.
- 5:17Speaker 2: It's a wild ride. Going not knowing what it's about.
- 5:21Speaker 2: There's a lot of bodily fluids that happen that I
- 5:23Speaker 2: was not expecting.
- 5:24Speaker 3: Yeah, that was one of the things you complained about.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Joy. They even showed little babies. Yeah.
- 5:31Speaker 3: Little babies humping each other.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Which was interesting. Yeah. They're mad. Joy.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Putting stuff on the shelves, and she found a product
- 5:42Speaker 3: that she was telling us about this, and she was like, yeah,
- 5:45Speaker 3: we had this stuff. I don't know what it is.
- 5:47Speaker 3: And I asked the guy, and he said it was
- 5:49Speaker 3: something called VCR head cleaner. Yeah, it was fancy. Technology.
- 5:54Speaker 2: You had to clean your VHS.
- 5:57Speaker 1: You're probably a slacker, and you aren't even cleaning your
- 6:00Speaker 1: streaming service ever, are you? No.
- 6:03Speaker 2: You heathen. No. Also, the banjo music in that scene
- 6:09Speaker 2: was so overpowering that they're like having a conversation and
- 6:13Speaker 2: I was like, turn down the banjo. I have said
- 6:19Speaker 2: that exact line. I cannot hear what you are saying.
- 6:24Speaker 2: It's like, your mom's dead. Suck it up.
- 6:28Speaker 3: We can smoke dope together, but God forbid we talk
- 6:32Speaker 3: about boyfriends.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Whereas I weirdly thought Billy Zane looked like he could
- 6:38Speaker 2: be dating his daughter.
- 6:39Speaker 1: There you go.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Why didn't we work with that? Should we check on mother?
- 6:45Speaker 3: Has she been eaten?
- 6:47Speaker 2: Who knows?
- 6:49Speaker 3: I mean, who hasn't tried to drunkenly get ice out
- 6:52Speaker 3: of a hotel ice machine?
- 6:53Speaker 1: By sticking their head in it and looking for it.
- 6:57Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 6:59Speaker 2: It's really gross and, like, really beautiful and it's really something.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Recommend!
- 7:05Speaker 2: I'll recommend it to this podcast.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:07Speaker 2: You guys are weird, so you'll like it. You'll like it.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Or at least be interested by it.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Oh, it could be.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Be like, I want you to be sexy when I
- 7:15Speaker 3: put you in the room.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Again, with the necrophilia. Here we go. The theme circles back.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Who doesn't love necrophilia? So come up with a better
- 7:25Speaker 1: option than whatever we had to watch and whatever we're
- 7:28Speaker 1: potentially going to watch like Kill Katie Malone. And go
- 7:31Speaker 1: to MovieMeltdown.com, join the Meltdown Horror Club, and give us
- 7:34Speaker 1: something better to watch. Or worse.
- 7:37Speaker 3: We don't care. Or we'll kill Katie Malone. It's like
- 7:40Speaker 3: a threat at this point.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Oh, wait. It was always a threat.
- 7:43Speaker 3: You know, I hope there's someone out there named Katie
- 7:45Speaker 3: Malone who every time we say, we're going to kill
- 7:47Speaker 3: Katie Malone, is like, eh.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Or she's calling the police right now. These weirdos are
- 7:53Speaker 1: threatening me on the internet. That's what the internet's for, man.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Don't worry, Katie Malone. We can barely tie our own shoes.
- 7:59Speaker 3: That's kind of true.
- 8:01Speaker 2: This one's too tight. It's cold. I don't want to
- 8:05Speaker 2: leave the house.
