- 0:00Speaker 1: Tampa Bay's best music is Magadge.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Welcome to another episode of Scotty and Abby Unfiltered. I'm
- 0:07Speaker 2: so excited for this conversation because I don't know where
- 0:10Speaker 2: this is about to go. So if we pull back
- 0:13Speaker 2: the curtain a little bit, when we get off the air,
- 0:15Speaker 2: we usually go and talk to sales members. We talk
- 0:18Speaker 2: with the team on Magic to figure out where could
- 0:21Speaker 2: we highlight certain businesses and what are the endorsements that
- 0:26Speaker 2: we want to have on our station. And for example,
- 0:28Speaker 2: you know, especially if you've been in the radio world
- 0:30Speaker 2: for long enough, you listen, you hear your favorite radio
- 0:33Speaker 2: personality read an ad on the air. I do it
- 0:35Speaker 2: all the time for whether it's like Crunch the place
- 0:38Speaker 2: I go work out, or who does what the house?
- 0:41Speaker 2: Like a plumbing service. Well, Abby came in the other
- 0:44Speaker 2: day and she's like, I'm very curious on why sales
- 0:52Speaker 2: pitched me for this opportunity. Now I don't know what
- 0:54Speaker 2: this opportunity is, so I'm very excited. So Abby, what
- 0:58Speaker 2: happened the other day because you're out of the studio
- 1:00Speaker 2: for a while, Was this all about what they wanted
- 1:03Speaker 2: to pitch you for?
- 1:04Speaker 1: Well, that was for a different situation.
- 1:06Speaker 3: But I've been texting with one of our sales goals,
- 1:08Speaker 3: who I love, but I was after a couple of
- 1:10Speaker 3: dms I got in a couple of texts that I got,
- 1:12Speaker 3: I thought, I think sales is trying to tell me something.
- 1:15Speaker 3: So I've been talking with Sydney. Hey, Sidney, and she's
- 1:20Speaker 3: been talking about maybe doing pilates or other workout things
- 1:24Speaker 3: for our endorsements, which if you don't know what an
- 1:26Speaker 3: endorsement is, it's kind of like when you see an
- 1:27Speaker 3: influencer on Instagram they do some kind of ad or whatever.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Like it's kind of how you make your money in
- 1:32Speaker 3: this business. So I've been talking to all these salespeople
- 1:35Speaker 3: and Sydney sends me a message and I'm scrolling trying
- 1:38Speaker 3: to find it.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Oh, here we go.
- 1:39Speaker 3: She sends me a message over the weekend, or not
- 1:41Speaker 3: over the weekend, a couple of days ago, and she goes, hey,
- 1:46Speaker 3: I've been talking to these people. They're interested in you
- 1:50Speaker 3: hosting an influencer event at their studio. And I thought, oh,
- 1:52Speaker 3: this is cool, Like we've been talking about fitness and
- 1:55Speaker 3: all this fun stuff. And she goes, let me know
- 1:57Speaker 3: if you'd be interested, and I was like, of course,
- 1:59Speaker 3: let me look into it, make sure this is something
- 2:00Speaker 3: i'd be comfortable hosting or endorsing. So the first thing
- 2:03Speaker 3: didn't really throw me off guard. Actually i'd seen this
- 2:05Speaker 3: gym before because I think I follow one of their trainers.
- 2:08Speaker 3: It's from a gym called bio biome Fit Biomefit. I
- 2:14Speaker 3: don't know if I'm pronouncing this right, but yeah, it's
- 2:17Speaker 3: out at Sparkman Wharf. It looks like a really cool gym.
- 2:19Speaker 3: And then the thing below it. I thought maybe she
- 2:22Speaker 3: sent to me by accident because of the name, because
- 2:27Speaker 3: right below it, there's an account she tagged called Booty
- 2:31Speaker 3: Babes Tampa, Oh, which I thought at first glance, I'm like,
- 2:37Speaker 3: that's an adult film site. And then I clicked on
- 2:41Speaker 3: it and it says this is where women come to
- 2:44Speaker 3: learn strength training in Tampa, Florida. It's located at Sparkman
- 2:48Speaker 3: Wharf and it looks like it's at this gym, so
- 2:50Speaker 3: I was like.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Oh, this makes sense.
- 2:51Speaker 3: But then I was like, I think they either have
- 2:54Speaker 3: a chosen the wrong person to host said Booty Babes
- 2:58Speaker 3: event because I have a pancakes or this is sales
- 3:02Speaker 3: is way of saying Abby you have a pancake ass.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Everybody in the office wants you to do something about it.
- 3:08Speaker 3: I oh, it gets worse.
- 3:11Speaker 4: Oh oh god, that's okay.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Wait a second, cause I'm looking at the Instagram right
- 3:14Speaker 2: now and my first thoughts is like, first off, the
- 3:16Speaker 2: name house spot on like Booty Babes, Like you nailed that,
- 3:20Speaker 2: and that's what.
- 3:20Speaker 4: Like you go to the gym now, and I'm like,
- 3:22Speaker 4: the first picture of people doing those hit thrusts because you.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Want to build those glutes. Yeah, everybody at the gym
- 3:27Speaker 2: does it. So I'm like, you get it. You specialize
- 3:29Speaker 2: in your market, you know your niche. That sounds amazing. Honestly,
- 3:33Speaker 2: I want to build up this donk too, But where
- 3:35Speaker 2: does it go from here?
- 3:36Speaker 4: Because so far, I'm like, sign me up. I want
- 3:38Speaker 4: to be in the Booty Babes.
- 3:39Speaker 1: So I text her.
- 3:39Speaker 3: I was like, why the hell not, Like I'll do it,
- 3:41Speaker 3: Like I mean, at the very least, I'm like, if
- 3:43Speaker 3: people think I need an ass, I'm gonna take the
- 3:45Speaker 3: hint and run and tell me. But things got a
- 3:49Speaker 3: little bit more interesting when I got another DM and
- 3:51Speaker 3: I won't say the name of the person that messaged
- 3:54Speaker 3: me just in case they're a listener or whatever. But
- 3:56Speaker 3: I got this message that said, hey Abby, blah blah bla,
- 4:00Speaker 3: I saw you on blah blah blah blah blah.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Oh you know what I am.
- 4:03Speaker 3: I'm gonna see the business name. I own Peach Pump
- 4:06Speaker 3: in Saint Pete. We're a women's only glute focused gym
- 4:09Speaker 3: in downtown Saint Pete. Okay, downtown Saint Pete. I would
- 4:12Speaker 3: love for you to host a private class for your
- 4:14Speaker 3: girl's trip. And I'm like, my is my flat ass
- 4:18Speaker 3: becoming the talk? Are people seeing my videos on Instagram
- 4:23Speaker 3: and going, this poor little white.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Girl, this girl needs but she has no idea. I
- 4:29Speaker 1: feel you know that meme are not that meme? You
- 4:31Speaker 1: know that poor video?
- 4:32Speaker 3: Or it was maybe it was a vine and it
- 4:34Speaker 3: was some girl completely oblivious that she had been recorded
- 4:37Speaker 3: and someone was videoing her flat ass.
- 4:39Speaker 4: Do you know what I'm talking about.
- 4:41Speaker 3: I can't remember what the sign the sound was, but
- 4:44Speaker 3: I remember thinking, oh my god, that's probably how people
- 4:47Speaker 3: view me when they see me out and about that's.
- 4:49Speaker 4: How they describe you. I'd be so funny, she's witty,
- 4:52Speaker 4: she's so smart, but.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Damn, that ass is flat.
- 4:57Speaker 2: I mean what a blessing though weirdly enough, But two,
- 5:00Speaker 2: I feel like it's not a coincidence. Now, I don't
- 5:03Speaker 2: know if it's just you, but it's like you will
- 5:04Speaker 2: be the spokesperson for all the ladies that want to
- 5:07Speaker 2: build a Badonka dunk.
- 5:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Well, I mean it's not that it was crazy that
- 5:10Speaker 3: it happened once because I was like, Okay, Sonise's trying
- 5:12Speaker 3: to get our money.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Both then she knows I work out.
- 5:15Speaker 3: I'm happy to bring the other girls to a gym
- 5:17Speaker 3: that I follow on Instagram or I've at least seen
- 5:19Speaker 3: on Instagram. It's in a fun part of the area.
- 5:21Speaker 3: It's in Channel Side Sparkman Wharf.
- 5:24Speaker 1: But then the fact that.
- 5:24Speaker 3: I got a DM from another source that I was like,
- 5:28Speaker 3: clearly something is going on. Something is happening. The people
- 5:32Speaker 3: think my ass needs some work. And I didn't realize
- 5:36Speaker 3: this was a part of my anatomy that I would
- 5:37Speaker 3: need to now hyper fixate on.
- 5:39Speaker 2: You know, if you do a class, I'm gonna sign
- 5:41Speaker 2: up with you, because I think that's something we all want.
- 5:43Speaker 4: We all want some cheeks.
- 5:45Speaker 2: And especially as a Florida summer is about to approach,
- 5:47Speaker 2: when we put on that swimsuit.
- 5:49Speaker 4: I want to be dunked up.
- 5:50Speaker 3: I know, but I've never The thing is really caught
- 5:52Speaker 3: me off guard because I'm like, maybe I lost my
- 5:54Speaker 3: ass when I lost all my weight, because I've never
- 5:57Speaker 3: gotten complaints about my ass before.
- 5:59Speaker 1: In fact, if anything, I've been praised for it.
- 6:01Speaker 4: You're okay, you know what. I'm not gonna make any
- 6:03Speaker 4: comments because that's you know.
- 6:04Speaker 2: That's but Scott's like, I don't look, I don't I
- 6:07Speaker 2: don't even know you had whatever.
- 6:09Speaker 1: You know, but that's I'm like a ken doll, except
- 6:11Speaker 1: instead of like.
- 6:12Speaker 4: I just see your face, that's all I see.
- 6:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:14Speaker 4: I really hope the deal goes through, though. I think
- 6:16Speaker 4: that'd be super fun.
- 6:17Speaker 1: I know, me hosting a Booty Babes event.
- 6:19Speaker 2: I think that before and after photos would be so fun.
- 6:22Speaker 2: You could get all the girls involved, everyone'd be working
- 6:24Speaker 2: that ass.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Here's the thing.
- 6:26Speaker 3: If they want to, if they want me to endorse
- 6:28Speaker 3: them and really help me glow the like if this
- 6:30Speaker 3: is if this is an issue I've got, I'm happy
- 6:32Speaker 3: to do the before and after picks because then maybe
- 6:35Speaker 3: you'll get to the right man and he'll be like, damn,
- 6:37Speaker 3: she was a four before now.
- 6:39Speaker 4: Easy six, easy six with those cheeks.
- 6:41Speaker 2: See, I've done endorsements like that, but not for my ass,
- 6:44Speaker 2: like usually it's from my teeth. I did one for
- 6:45Speaker 2: an ad like Orthodonics, where I got like the Invisi
- 6:48Speaker 2: line and they did the whole thing. I was so
- 6:50Speaker 2: grateful for that one because I looked at pictures before
- 6:53Speaker 2: and I was like, Oh, Lord, have mercy. I needed
- 6:56Speaker 2: to fix that smile.
- 6:57Speaker 1: That stuff's expensive.
- 6:58Speaker 4: Hell yeah, and all those booty classes right up the alley,
- 7:02Speaker 4: I know, probably expensive bringing the girl group.
- 7:05Speaker 1: I'm not doing enough center gluot days at solid Corps,
- 7:07Speaker 1: I guess.
- 7:08Speaker 2: I mean when I did that class with you at Soligor,
- 7:10Speaker 2: my ass was sore for I think six straight days.
- 7:12Speaker 3: I know. So I'm like, there's there's something missing, either
- 7:14Speaker 3: not getting enough protein or solid core is the flat
- 7:17Speaker 3: ass workout?
- 7:19Speaker 4: When is your girl group coming to Tampa Bay?
- 7:21Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 7:21Speaker 3: So I'm hosting a girls trip August twenty first, of
- 7:24Speaker 3: the twenty fourth. I don't have specific details yet because
- 7:27Speaker 3: I'm still ironing out some things. I have some meetings
- 7:29Speaker 3: this week to be able to like hash some things out,
- 7:31Speaker 3: but it's gonna be really fun. We're gonna stay at
- 7:33Speaker 3: the Moxie in downtown Saint.
- 7:34Speaker 4: Pete, which everybody, Oh my lord.
- 7:36Speaker 1: I know it's gonna be so finne.
- 7:37Speaker 3: It's gonna be a group of about twelve to fourteen girls,
- 7:40Speaker 3: and we're gonna do a boat day. I'm meeting with
- 7:43Speaker 3: a boat person, a boat person, a yacht charter thing tomorrow.
- 7:47Speaker 4: Fancy.
- 7:48Speaker 3: I think we're gonna do a little spa day or
- 7:51Speaker 3: spa morning and we'll do a.
- 7:52Speaker 4: Workout, probably a booty class.
- 7:54Speaker 1: To probably a booty class we'll see.
- 7:56Speaker 4: Before the yacht day.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Before the yacht day.
- 7:58Speaker 3: I mean, I'm I'm ready to get the peach pump
- 8:00Speaker 3: going in downtown Saint Pete's, so I might have to
- 8:02Speaker 3: hit him up.
- 8:03Speaker 1: You're gonna hear me talk all this smack, being.
- 8:04Speaker 3: Like, Ah, I can't believe they thought my ass was flat,
- 8:07Speaker 3: And I'm gonna be.
- 8:07Speaker 1: In the DM's been like, hey, can we have all
- 8:09Speaker 1: class over do? It'd be really fun.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, get it cheeked up, you know what,
- 8:13Speaker 2: Get that booty pump. There ain't nothing like a booty pump.
- 8:15Speaker 2: I was also wanted to ask you because you were
- 8:17Speaker 2: talking about this off the mic on your brother's wedding.
- 8:19Speaker 4: Yes, and they gave you a plus one.
- 8:23Speaker 1: They did give me a plus one.
- 8:24Speaker 4: How exciting you want to hear?
- 8:26Speaker 1: How funny?
- 8:26Speaker 3: This is literally like a year ago when they got engaged,
- 8:30Speaker 3: or they weren't engaged with time last year, but like
- 8:31Speaker 3: six months ago. I literally told all my coworkers, I said,
- 8:34Speaker 3: I'm gonna be engaged by.
- 8:35Speaker 4: My brother'sdy Holy.
- 8:37Speaker 3: I was like, I'm putting the I'm putting it in
- 8:39Speaker 3: the universe. I'm gonna get engaged by my brother's wedding.
- 8:41Speaker 3: And the fact that I'm just gonna show up alone
- 8:43Speaker 3: is now manifestation is a.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Live Wait a second, Okay, you said you're gonna be Okay,
- 8:48Speaker 2: so they got engaged what six eight months ago?
- 8:50Speaker 3: They got engaged in June of twenty twenty five.
- 8:55Speaker 4: Yes, and were there any prospects for you at that time?
- 8:58Speaker 1: They were not.
- 8:59Speaker 2: I mean, you said to the universities that I'm gonna
- 9:01Speaker 2: be engaged by the wedding next year.
- 9:03Speaker 4: No prospects, but I'm goona be engaged.
- 9:05Speaker 1: I'm gonna be engaged or on my way to getting engaged.
- 9:08Speaker 4: So okay.
- 9:09Speaker 2: So it's we're in April now, the wedding's in July,
- 9:13Speaker 2: and so okay, that's a big ask.
- 9:16Speaker 4: Now, crazier things have happened.
- 9:18Speaker 3: At this point, I have to settle for at least
- 9:20Speaker 3: a date, and at this point it's gonna be one
- 9:22Speaker 3: of my galpals. But here's the thing that's on July fourth.
- 9:25Speaker 3: So nobody's free on July fourth.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Well, I think a lot more people. How many of
- 9:29Speaker 2: y'all are doing July fourth things? I don't do anything.
- 9:31Speaker 2: I think I work every July fourth.
- 9:32Speaker 3: A lot of people do things on July fourth. I
- 9:34Speaker 3: know my best friend from college. She always takes the
- 9:36Speaker 3: boat out in Naples where she's from. So I have
- 9:38Speaker 3: a couple of debuck and maybe ask. But it is
- 9:40Speaker 3: like a big ass to give up your fourth in July.
- 9:43Speaker 4: I guess.
- 9:43Speaker 2: But what else are you doingels, lighting fireworks, eating hot dogs?
- 9:46Speaker 2: A wedding's way more fun than that. And July fourth
- 9:48Speaker 2: happens literally every year.
- 9:50Speaker 3: Yeah, it will be fine, and it's gonna be I
- 9:52Speaker 3: mean open bar. So if you want a free vacation,
- 9:55Speaker 3: you get to stay in my room at the arm
- 9:57Speaker 3: of I have to cut this beach in Florida. It's
- 10:01Speaker 3: gonna be sick.
- 10:01Speaker 2: That sounds amazing, Okay, so do you have any friends
- 10:04Speaker 2: in line that would even remotely want, like even from
- 10:06Speaker 2: the other podcast.
- 10:07Speaker 1: That you do.
- 10:08Speaker 3: I don't think any of my co workers would come
- 10:10Speaker 3: down for it. And it is like a weirdly intimate event.
- 10:13Speaker 3: So it's got to be someone that you have a
- 10:15Speaker 3: close relationship with.
- 10:16Speaker 4: True, that maybe knows your family.
- 10:17Speaker 3: Yeah, that maybe knows my family, because then that's a
- 10:19Speaker 3: whole other dynamic. And my family feels very weird about
- 10:22Speaker 3: outsiders coming in, so like that's a whole other layer two.
- 10:25Speaker 3: So it's probably just.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Gonna be mem I think, well, how big is your
- 10:29Speaker 2: Family's gonna be like a ton of family in there,
- 10:31Speaker 2: huge family.
- 10:32Speaker 3: It's gonna be about one hundred and eighty people. Oh
- 10:34Speaker 3: my god, I know it's a really big wedding.
- 10:36Speaker 4: Okay, Lord, have mercy. I think it'll be fun. Do
- 10:38Speaker 4: you already know? Like are you giving a speech at
- 10:40Speaker 4: all during this wedding?
- 10:41Speaker 3: You know what was really a weird compliment because my
- 10:43Speaker 3: brother's fiance randomly just threw it out there. She's like,
- 10:46Speaker 3: would you want to give a speech at our wedding?
- 10:48Speaker 3: And I was like, I mean, I'll do it, but
- 10:50Speaker 3: I'm not in the position to give a speech. Like,
- 10:53Speaker 3: I'm not the mother of the groom, I'm not the
- 10:55Speaker 3: father of the bride.
- 10:56Speaker 1: I'm not the maid of honor.
- 10:58Speaker 3: So if I do it, I'm gonna be taking somebody
- 11:00Speaker 3: else's spot, and I don't really want to be the
- 11:02Speaker 3: drama stirer.
- 11:03Speaker 2: There could be multiple speeches, though it depends on. Like
- 11:07Speaker 2: I'm doing a wedding this Saturday. I'm giving a speech
- 11:10Speaker 2: for like my best friends. I know both of them,
- 11:12Speaker 2: they're both my closest friends, and I was honored that
- 11:16Speaker 2: they asked. But they also asked because of the line
- 11:18Speaker 2: that we work that we do. We're literally speakers by trade,
- 11:22Speaker 2: and so instead of the one person that hates to
- 11:24Speaker 2: get on a microphone, give it to the person that
- 11:26Speaker 2: likes it and to have a great moment, knows how
- 11:28Speaker 2: to get in, knows how to get out, and so
- 11:30Speaker 2: especially if you know your brother and you're really close
- 11:32Speaker 2: to his fiance, kind of sounds like the perfect fit.
- 11:36Speaker 3: I know, I appreciated it, but I looked over at
- 11:37Speaker 3: my brother, who saw me give a speech at my
- 11:39Speaker 3: cousin's wedding, and I was like, I don't know how
- 11:42Speaker 3: I was really drunk for that speech.
- 11:43Speaker 1: I was like, do you remember if it was good
- 11:44Speaker 1: or not, because the only line.
- 11:46Speaker 3: That made it from my cousin's wedding the speech that
- 11:48Speaker 3: I gave, which, by the way, I wrote the day
- 11:50Speaker 3: before because I didn't know I.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Was giving a speech because there were two made of monitors.
- 11:53Speaker 3: I was like, I'm not gonna be I was like,
- 11:54Speaker 3: I'm not the one who's gonna give the speech, and
- 11:56Speaker 3: she's like, you're giving a speech, and I was like, okay.
- 11:57Speaker 4: They should have let you know a little ahead of time.
- 12:00Speaker 1: Yeah, it was a well, yeah, I heads up would
- 12:01Speaker 1: have been great.
- 12:02Speaker 3: Maybe it was implied because you know, you're the maid
- 12:03Speaker 3: of honor, but because there are two, I thought I
- 12:05Speaker 3: was the lesser of the maids of honors, if that
- 12:07Speaker 3: made sense. So I thought I was going to take
- 12:09Speaker 3: a bad seat. Anyway I wrote it, it was great.
- 12:11Speaker 3: It was actually a really good speech from what I wrote.
- 12:13Speaker 3: I just don't know if I was coherent when I
- 12:15Speaker 3: spoke it because the only line that made it from
- 12:18Speaker 3: that speech into their wedding video, because you know how
- 12:20Speaker 3: they'll splice it up to have sound bites, is I
- 12:23Speaker 3: was complimenting in the groom on his turkey for Thanksgiving
- 12:27Speaker 3: because my family notorious has the worst Thanksgiving food.
- 12:31Speaker 1: It is so egregiously bad.
- 12:34Speaker 3: And there was this one year that Griffin, my cousin's husband,
- 12:38Speaker 3: brought his tragger grill to the mountains smoked a turkey.
- 12:42Speaker 3: It was so delicious, and then I think it got
- 12:45Speaker 3: ruined in the hurricane or something, so we've never had
- 12:48Speaker 3: We're back to inedible food.
- 12:49Speaker 2: I have so many questions. First off, wait, why is
- 12:52Speaker 2: your Thanksgiving? Is it just that you all don't cook
- 12:53Speaker 2: the Thanksgiving meal?
- 12:54Speaker 3: Well, they're terrible cooks, But for whatever reason, this one
- 12:58Speaker 3: year it was like all the stars aligned. It was
- 13:01Speaker 3: my first year coming back to Thanksgiving because I typically skip,
- 13:04Speaker 3: and my one of my cousins brought homemade fitcaca and
- 13:08Speaker 3: then Griffin brought the turkey and I was like, suddenly
- 13:11Speaker 3: Thanksgiving is fantastic.
- 13:12Speaker 1: And then the next year is back to being discussing.
- 13:14Speaker 4: Oh, come on, now, do you make anything for it?
- 13:17Speaker 3: I used to make mac and cheese, and then my
- 13:19Speaker 3: aunt took it over, and then I stopped coming to Thanksgiving,
- 13:22Speaker 3: and then I just became.
- 13:24Speaker 1: The bread roll eater. Hey you go, I will house
- 13:26Speaker 1: some bread rolls.
- 13:27Speaker 2: I will too when it comes down to Thanksgiving, like
- 13:29Speaker 2: I don't care how I'm looking, what I out everything,
- 13:33Speaker 2: But we're so boring. We don't cook anything because it's
- 13:34Speaker 2: literally my brother, my dad, and my aunt.
- 13:36Speaker 4: That's it. So we just get everything catered in from public.
- 13:39Speaker 3: But I would rather that, like, I would rather publics
- 13:41Speaker 3: make my food and actually get to eat.
- 13:43Speaker 4: That's true.
- 13:44Speaker 2: I'm not complaining because none of us know how to
- 13:46Speaker 2: cook the turkey properly.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Because the boar's head is very good. Oh yeah, it's
- 13:49Speaker 1: so good. The mac and cheese they make is really good.
- 13:51Speaker 4: You know. What we're boring though, is like especially I'm
- 13:53Speaker 4: just gonna throw white people under the bus really quick.
- 13:55Speaker 1: We are boring.
- 13:56Speaker 2: You talk to like other cultures and what they do
- 13:59Speaker 2: and what the foods like. Oh my gosh, I have
- 14:01Speaker 2: so many friends that like are Latino and Latina, like
- 14:05Speaker 2: the foods that they bring together. I'm like, I was
- 14:07Speaker 2: just talking to somebody about this. I'm like, you all
- 14:09Speaker 2: don't even do a turkey. No, you said, screw the turkey.
- 14:11Speaker 1: White people food is horrible. Yeah, have you ever been
- 14:14Speaker 1: to England?
- 14:14Speaker 3: Oh my god, it's just beije on beije on, beije
- 14:16Speaker 3: on beije on beije mush on mush on mush mush
- 14:19Speaker 3: on mush.
- 14:19Speaker 4: That versus Spain is insane.
- 14:21Speaker 1: It's insane. Thank god.
- 14:23Speaker 3: Whatever happened when we came to America, they spice things
- 14:25Speaker 3: up a little bit ted, probably because of the blending
- 14:27Speaker 3: of the cultures and whatnot.
- 14:29Speaker 1: The white people just stole everything.
- 14:30Speaker 4: That's what you need to bring into your family, though,
- 14:32Speaker 4: Like this, who else is?
- 14:33Speaker 3: Like?
- 14:33Speaker 1: Is Who's culture? Can I appropriate that?
- 14:36Speaker 2: Somebody to bring up a different food? Because what the
- 14:38Speaker 2: heck mine is so boring? Like the craziest food we
- 14:40Speaker 2: had was like Jewish food growing up, and we didn't
- 14:43Speaker 2: do it all the time. We just did it once
- 14:44Speaker 2: a year and it would be like a gosh matza
- 14:47Speaker 2: ball soup or a kafilter fish, which have you ever
- 14:49Speaker 2: had kafilter?
- 14:50Speaker 1: What is a kafila?
- 14:51Speaker 2: It's a disgusting salted Okay, let me take that back.
- 14:54Speaker 2: It is like this jarred mushy fish that I actually love.
- 14:59Speaker 2: I think it tastes delicious. You give it to anybody.
- 15:01Speaker 2: If I brought it in here, you'd probably throw it.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Yah, absolutely not. I mean, you bring eggs in here
- 15:04Speaker 1: and I want to throw.
- 15:05Speaker 2: That's why I don't eat in the studio anymore because
- 15:07Speaker 2: of you. But you need somebody in the family. Thank
- 15:10Speaker 2: goodness for your you know, your new what cousin in law.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't even know what he.
- 15:14Speaker 3: I don't know how to call that side of the family,
- 15:16Speaker 3: especially my cousin's baby. I'm like, is she my niece
- 15:20Speaker 3: because I think technically I'm her cousin.
- 15:22Speaker 1: But I'm like, that's not cuz that's that's my niece.
- 15:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:26Speaker 4: I call my cousins. Yeah, I call them my nieces
- 15:28Speaker 4: and nephews, my cousins kids.
- 15:30Speaker 3: Yeah, so she'll probably be my niece and I'll be
- 15:32Speaker 3: Aunt Abby or whatever.
- 15:33Speaker 4: Yeah. You need somebody that's going to bring in a
- 15:34Speaker 4: different dish. You need to.
- 15:35Speaker 2: I've always wanted. I wanted to tell my family, like
- 15:37Speaker 2: I scrap Thanksgiving plans. Let's travel somewhere.
- 15:40Speaker 1: I think that'd be way more fun.
- 15:42Speaker 4: Or the final time that people get time off or go.
- 15:44Speaker 3: Out to eat, let's do something fun on Thanksgiving and
- 15:47Speaker 3: let's go to a restaurant.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Yeah, we've done that before. We did it, well, not
- 15:50Speaker 2: for Thanksgiving but for Christmas. And my parents came over
- 15:53Speaker 2: here when I was working and I was like working
- 15:55Speaker 2: literally on Christmas.
- 15:56Speaker 4: It was crazy, but.
- 15:57Speaker 2: They came over and we did what they didn't like,
- 16:00Speaker 2: what is it like a Christmas story or whatever? Like
- 16:01Speaker 2: we went to a Chinese restaurant. Yeah, and it was fantastic,
- 16:04Speaker 2: like a nice one where we had the whole round
- 16:06Speaker 2: table and they're bringing out.
- 16:07Speaker 4: Dish after dish after dish.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Way better than some dry ass turkey that we overcooked
- 16:12Speaker 2: in the oven.
- 16:13Speaker 1: It's horrible.
- 16:14Speaker 4: That's needs to be the new tradition. Yeah, so if
- 16:16Speaker 4: you have a big family, it's very hard.
- 16:17Speaker 3: Actually, my brother and his fiance and at the time
- 16:19Speaker 3: she'll be his wife, they can't go to Thanksgiving this year.
- 16:22Speaker 3: And I was like, well, if y'all are going, I
- 16:25Speaker 3: don't really want to go. I'm like that's a really
- 16:27Speaker 3: far drive. I'm like, maybe i'll go because it'll be
- 16:28Speaker 3: near Atlanta. I can see some mold coworkers and stuff.
- 16:30Speaker 3: But I was like, what should we do? And they
- 16:31Speaker 3: were like, well, we should go to Burns. I'm like,
- 16:33Speaker 3: I'll go to Burns now.
- 16:35Speaker 4: That is holiday worthy food to me.
- 16:37Speaker 3: That would be exciting to get to sit down at
- 16:39Speaker 3: a nice restaurant on a holiday and have them make
- 16:42Speaker 3: all of the foods the way they were intended to
- 16:44Speaker 3: be eaten.
- 16:45Speaker 4: That's true. But is it as intimate?
- 16:47Speaker 1: Is my worry as what do you mean it's intimate
- 16:50Speaker 1: because there's a.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Thing about when I ever like I go home, like
- 16:52Speaker 2: I do love just being my family is so weird.
- 16:55Speaker 4: But we're so goofy and we're just talking together in
- 16:58Speaker 4: the house. It's cozy. We'll sit there and we'll watch
- 17:00Speaker 4: the football game. We'll go take the dogs on a
- 17:02Speaker 4: big walk.
- 17:03Speaker 2: It's a very simple living kind of day that I love.
- 17:08Speaker 2: And I love that there's food like sat out pretty
- 17:11Speaker 2: much for all day, Like you're not going to a
- 17:13Speaker 2: restaurant getting all dressed up like literally my family. I
- 17:16Speaker 2: think I get the fanciest by putting on jeans. Everyone
- 17:18Speaker 2: else is like in sweats and like a T shirt.
- 17:20Speaker 2: So we'll just have like a shrimp dish out and
- 17:22Speaker 2: then I'll take out some bread and then maybe a
- 17:24Speaker 2: spinach dish and then we'll have the whole feast.
- 17:27Speaker 4: We'll walk the dogs, come in, watch football. Very simple day.
- 17:31Speaker 1: I love that for you. I think it just varies.
- 17:33Speaker 3: I think I mean I see these people all the time,
- 17:35Speaker 3: like literally everybody lives in Tampa, so there's only a
- 17:38Speaker 3: couple of people that you don't see very frequently, so
- 17:40Speaker 3: it's like, why do I gotta go all the way
- 17:41Speaker 3: up to the mountains to do this? And also I
- 17:43Speaker 3: think there can be an intimacy to switching things up,
- 17:46Speaker 3: Like the fact that we're going to have a very
- 17:48Speaker 3: different Thanksgiving I think invites some level of bonding because
- 17:52Speaker 3: everyone else is doing something and then you're kind of
- 17:54Speaker 3: stepping out and doing something different.
- 17:55Speaker 1: I think there's some value in that too. I do.
- 17:57Speaker 4: I am a fan of switching up the tar.
- 18:00Speaker 2: When my family like kind of went through some shifts,
- 18:02Speaker 2: it was an opportunity to change up traditions. It's like,
- 18:05Speaker 2: we're not going to do the same thing every year
- 18:06Speaker 2: because as much as tradition.
- 18:08Speaker 4: Is fun, it's also fun.
- 18:10Speaker 2: My whole thing is like I said, like especially Christmas
- 18:12Speaker 2: this year, I want to propose to like my family
- 18:15Speaker 2: that we just maybe take a trip since we literally
- 18:18Speaker 2: all have the time off.
- 18:19Speaker 4: That's the hardest part.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Tradition for the sake of tradition is not fun.
- 18:22Speaker 2: No, don't just do it because you've always done it
- 18:24Speaker 2: and that's how it's always been. Yeah, but if there's
- 18:26Speaker 2: something new you want to try, and we did that,
- 18:28Speaker 2: well was it two years ago? Not my family, but
- 18:30Speaker 2: friends for the holidays, we went to Iceland. We're like,
- 18:34Speaker 2: nobody wants to really go home for the holidays. We
- 18:36Speaker 2: want to take this time since we're all off, travel
- 18:38Speaker 2: somewhere that we would never be able to go during
- 18:40Speaker 2: the regular year. So Christmas and New Year's. Christmas was
- 18:44Speaker 2: spent in Iceland. New Year's was spent in Ireland. It
- 18:47Speaker 2: was the only time that everyone could get off and
- 18:49Speaker 2: holy crap, it was so so fun. Yeah, you can't
- 18:53Speaker 2: get that time off with the rest of the year.
- 18:55Speaker 3: I mean, we were thinking about doing that for Christmas
- 18:56Speaker 3: this year, because it does feel A younger would be
- 19:00Speaker 3: rolling over in her grave hearing me say this, But
- 19:03Speaker 3: it does feel weird as you get older, waking up
- 19:05Speaker 3: on Christmas morning and being like, oh, what are my parents?
- 19:07Speaker 3: My parents get me for Christmas? It does feel weird.
- 19:10Speaker 3: But it doesn't feel weird for them to buy me
- 19:12Speaker 3: a trip to Italy.
- 19:13Speaker 4: No, it's experience.
- 19:14Speaker 1: It's experience.
- 19:15Speaker 3: I'm I go, yeah, please, mom and dad, let's go
- 19:17Speaker 3: to Let's go to Switzerland.
- 19:19Speaker 1: I want to do that for our Christmas gift.
- 19:21Speaker 2: I've noticed that a lot this, like in the past
- 19:22Speaker 2: couple of years now that my cousin has kids, Like
- 19:25Speaker 2: I always tell I'm like, honestly, I don't even want
- 19:27Speaker 2: anything for the holidays.
- 19:28Speaker 4: I don't even know what to tell you. I'm an adult.
- 19:30Speaker 2: I buy everything I need. It's nice to receive a gift,
- 19:32Speaker 2: but it's not my love language. But getting to see
- 19:35Speaker 2: your family members if you have younger like younger family
- 19:37Speaker 2: members go through Christmas, now that was the joy. Like
- 19:40Speaker 2: the first time I saw that, I was like, Wow,
- 19:44Speaker 2: I get how special the holidays are. Like we're in
- 19:47Speaker 2: that weird time period where it's kind of weird. Do
- 19:50Speaker 2: I want to see everyone?
- 19:51Speaker 4: Do I not? Do I want to travel? Do I
- 19:52Speaker 4: want to stay home?
- 19:53Speaker 2: But then I could understand like if I do have
- 19:56Speaker 2: a family in the future, oh my god, I can't
- 19:58Speaker 2: wait for that period.
- 19:59Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sure it's super sweet.
- 20:00Speaker 3: And so that's why this year I was like, this
- 20:01Speaker 3: might be our last year to get to do like
- 20:03Speaker 3: a fun big trip because I think my brother and
- 20:05Speaker 3: his wife will have kids in the next couple of years.
- 20:08Speaker 1: And we have to do it. We have to do
- 20:10Speaker 1: it this year for a chance. We're going to Switzerland.
- 20:13Speaker 1: We get upon because in otherwise have the kids, me
- 20:17Speaker 1: a whole thing, and yeah.
- 20:18Speaker 2: That's I mean that's pretty quick turn around getting married
- 20:21Speaker 2: and then like right to the baby.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, why way? If you know that's what
- 20:25Speaker 1: you want to do, that's true.
- 20:26Speaker 4: If you're ready for it, like, go ahead and get
- 20:28Speaker 4: on it.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Am I saying that's what everyone should do?
- 20:30Speaker 4: No?
- 20:30Speaker 1: I think.
- 20:31Speaker 3: I think if you're young, experienced life, but that's what
- 20:33Speaker 3: you want to do, if that's how you view your life,
- 20:35Speaker 3: then do it.
- 20:36Speaker 1: I'm going to tell you how to live your life.
- 20:37Speaker 4: Hell but I well a lot of people do though.
- 20:39Speaker 3: I know I'm I'm so guilty of that, and I'm
- 20:42Speaker 3: trying to This is my new Year's resolution in March
- 20:45Speaker 3: April April April April eighth. My new Year's resolution is
- 20:48Speaker 3: to stop trying to control what people.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Do with their lives.
- 20:51Speaker 4: Oh that's such a good one.
- 20:52Speaker 2: I was just talking to my best friend about this
- 20:54Speaker 2: because I love my brother. My brother's one of the
- 20:56Speaker 2: smartest people I know, but him and I have worked
- 20:59Speaker 2: very differently. We have a different drive inside where he's like, dude,
- 21:03Speaker 2: I don't I'm good he could get this license that
- 21:06Speaker 2: gets them a whole new set of pay and upgrades,
- 21:08Speaker 2: and I'm like.
- 21:08Speaker 4: Dude, why don't like go for it? It's like I
- 21:10Speaker 4: don't want to. I'm like, you don't want to.
- 21:13Speaker 2: All my brain tells me all the time is like,
- 21:15Speaker 2: climb the ladder, make more money, be more successful, become bigger.
- 21:19Speaker 2: And so I try to put that on him all
- 21:21Speaker 2: the time. But recently, like you said, like that became
- 21:24Speaker 2: my new thing. I was like, why am I trying
- 21:25Speaker 2: to control his life? That's what he wants to do.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Why should it be what I want for him? And
- 21:30Speaker 2: if he doesn't want it, he's a grown ass adult.
- 21:32Speaker 2: He could do whatever he wants with his journey.
- 21:34Speaker 3: It just separates you more from the people in your
- 21:36Speaker 3: life to be like, I don't know why I shouldn't stay
- 21:37Speaker 3: what she's doing.
- 21:38Speaker 1: I wouldn't do that as her life. I don't want
- 21:40Speaker 1: people saying that about my life. Why is doing that?
- 21:42Speaker 1: Why is Amy goran interview in peter on Bay Shore.
- 21:45Speaker 3: Because that's what you decide that you want to do
- 21:47Speaker 3: with your life, and so if you hate it, then
- 21:49Speaker 3: that's all you like. If you do something and ends
- 21:51Speaker 3: up crashing and burning, that was the choice that you made.
- 21:53Speaker 1: And I'm no.
- 21:54Speaker 3: Longer take your responsibility for controlling people's lives anymore.
- 21:57Speaker 2: Absolutely, And I think it's we got passed down, Like
- 21:59Speaker 2: we hear our older generations do that to us. We
- 22:02Speaker 2: were constantly well maybe our parents were constantly judged from
- 22:05Speaker 2: their parents and whatever, but now we're constantly judged.
- 22:07Speaker 4: Did you feel that when you went into this industry?
- 22:10Speaker 2: Were you like and you don't have answer to this,
- 22:12Speaker 2: but like the black sheep in the family to go
- 22:14Speaker 2: into like the things that we do, content creation, radio interviews,
- 22:18Speaker 2: like is that seen as not odd but off?
- 22:22Speaker 4: No different?
- 22:23Speaker 3: My brother and I both went into communications, so he
- 22:26Speaker 3: was he was a sports anchor for a couple of
- 22:28Speaker 3: years before he decided to make money. And then I
- 22:31Speaker 3: think I grew up and I've said this a couple
- 22:33Speaker 3: of times to where I sort of I sort of
- 22:38Speaker 3: tradwifed my way into being a girl boss, if that
- 22:40Speaker 3: makes sense. Like I grew up in a very heteronormative
- 22:44Speaker 3: culture where most of the people I knew the dad's
- 22:48Speaker 3: worked and the mom stayed home. And so I thought, oh, yeah,
- 22:50Speaker 3: maybe I'll like do something fun for a couple of
- 22:51Speaker 3: years and then I'll like have kids. And so I
- 22:54Speaker 3: was like, well, what would be fun, and so I
- 22:55Speaker 3: went into communications, thinking that'll be fun, never getting any
- 22:59Speaker 3: kind of education, how much money you make, and what
- 23:01Speaker 3: that career like. Literally, I just was gonna I hate
- 23:04Speaker 3: to talk, I'm gonna do it. So I ended up
- 23:07Speaker 3: getting into this career career field and somehow girl boss
- 23:11Speaker 3: my way.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Into doing this.
- 23:12Speaker 4: That's crazy, I know.
- 23:13Speaker 3: And they've always been very supportive of me because you know,
- 23:15Speaker 3: it's kept me financially independent, so that's what they're thrilled about.
- 23:19Speaker 4: That's true, Like you've made it work.
- 23:21Speaker 2: I'm sure there's a lot of people that because when
- 23:23Speaker 2: I stepped into it, it was like, what the hell are
- 23:25Speaker 2: you doing? Not so much negative from well a little
- 23:28Speaker 2: bit like I had family members that questioned me constantly
- 23:31Speaker 2: that tried to like steer me. It was kind of
- 23:32Speaker 2: like what we were just talking about, where people are
- 23:34Speaker 2: trying to dictate what you do with your life. And
- 23:36Speaker 2: so that's why I bring it up, because it was
- 23:37Speaker 2: why don't you switch to this, Why don't you step
- 23:39Speaker 2: into this field? How are you going to be successful
- 23:41Speaker 2: into that field? And so I'm always curious with the
- 23:43Speaker 2: people that step into entertainment or media or content creation
- 23:46Speaker 2: because it's the world of being an entertainer. I was
- 23:49Speaker 2: literally thinking about this as I was walking up. It's
- 23:51Speaker 2: such a weird world. Everyone else goes and they do
- 23:54Speaker 2: something probably really cool and really smart, but we go
- 23:58Speaker 2: in and we're like, all right, now that you're done
- 23:59Speaker 2: with your cool job, we're gonna dance for you and
- 24:02Speaker 2: we're gonna be literally like I was just thinking about
- 24:07Speaker 2: a person in this building. I was like, Wow, they
- 24:08Speaker 2: do a lot of comedy. I was like, what a
- 24:10Speaker 2: weird field.
- 24:11Speaker 4: People get done with their job to go watch you
- 24:13Speaker 4: do your job, and your job is to make them
- 24:15Speaker 4: forget about their job. I was like, what a weird idea.
- 24:18Speaker 2: But I was always seen as at least felt like
- 24:21Speaker 2: the Black Sheep. Go online, post ridiculous videos, go have
- 24:25Speaker 2: the most outrageous things set on stage, get as many
- 24:28Speaker 2: clicks and views as possible, want to be seen in
- 24:31Speaker 2: the public eye. Where that was seen as very different,
- 24:34Speaker 2: especially in my inner circles when I was coming to
- 24:36Speaker 2: this industry.
- 24:37Speaker 4: Luckily it paid off.
- 24:38Speaker 1: So far well unfairly.
- 24:39Speaker 3: I do think it is different for guys because I
- 24:41Speaker 3: think to an extent, there was never an expectation that
- 24:44Speaker 3: I was going to be some finance bro, m.
- 24:47Speaker 1: Did you ever want to be No, I don't want
- 24:50Speaker 1: to do Excel spreadsheets.
- 24:51Speaker 4: I don't know. That's like the brain works differently.
- 24:53Speaker 2: But there's so many us to see, so many women
- 24:55Speaker 2: now powerhousing their way.
- 24:56Speaker 1: In well, yeah, shout out to them for real, because.
- 24:59Speaker 2: I'm like, it has to be so hard because imagine
- 25:01Speaker 2: the thought or the look that you get as especially
- 25:05Speaker 2: a woman stepping into that field where it's like the
- 25:07Speaker 2: traditional finance bro. Yeah, and then you walk in there,
- 25:10Speaker 2: You're like, I'm a badass, b I'm gonna take a job,
- 25:12Speaker 2: and then you do sleag girl.
- 25:14Speaker 4: I'm like, I see him all over Tampa now.
- 25:15Speaker 3: So I love that for them. That wasn't my that's
- 25:18Speaker 3: not that's not where my skill sets led. But laid lied,
- 25:21Speaker 3: laid lied. That's kind of funny though. So you stepped
- 25:24Speaker 3: into this as just a we'll see what happens.
- 25:27Speaker 4: No.
- 25:27Speaker 1: Literally, When people are like, so, how did you get
- 25:29Speaker 1: into this, I'm like, I don't know. It's kind of
- 25:30Speaker 1: an accident.
- 25:31Speaker 4: That's why.
- 25:32Speaker 2: I mean, I didn't wanted to do it either. Like
- 25:33Speaker 2: it took me three years in college before I was like.
- 25:36Speaker 4: Huh uh huh, that's cool. So I didn't.
- 25:38Speaker 2: I don't feel like I tripped my way into here,
- 25:41Speaker 2: but once I got it, I was like locked all
- 25:42Speaker 2: the way in.
- 25:43Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I mean I think I tripped and fell
- 25:45Speaker 3: and was like, oh, I could be good at this,
- 25:47Speaker 3: you know what I mean, Like you sort of take
- 25:48Speaker 3: a wrong turn and you're like, oh, I think I
- 25:50Speaker 3: think I could. I think I could go down this
- 25:51Speaker 3: little path. I think this is cool kind of like
- 25:53Speaker 3: what I'm seeing.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Well, it's never really talked about in like high school
- 25:56Speaker 2: to being a media personality.
- 25:58Speaker 4: No, it wasn't something I was praised.
- 26:00Speaker 3: Yeah, because I was a competitive speaker growing up. So
- 26:02Speaker 3: I knew I was good at talking. I knew I
- 26:04Speaker 3: was good at communicating. But I wasn't going to be
- 26:05Speaker 3: an actor, Like I didn't. I knew that path probably
- 26:08Speaker 3: wasn't gonna work out for me, not that I ever
- 26:10Speaker 3: thought about going into, like I never did drama school
- 26:12Speaker 3: or whatever, but yeah, I thought, like, what's a job
- 26:15Speaker 3: where you just talk? And so I was like, well,
- 26:17Speaker 3: you on the TV, you can do news, And then
- 26:20Speaker 3: you find out journalism is like a really freaking difficult job.
- 26:23Speaker 3: And then luckily.
- 26:24Speaker 1: This popped up.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Was there something that you wish you could actually go
- 26:27Speaker 2: back and try, like you'd bring up like drama school
- 26:30Speaker 2: or acting if I were to go back, because I
- 26:32Speaker 2: was sports all way, Like every single day was football
- 26:36Speaker 2: or lacrosse, and now I'm like, damn as somebody that's
- 26:38Speaker 2: such an entertainer and I love the stage. I'm like,
- 26:41Speaker 2: I wish somebody would have pushed me into like theater, yeah,
- 26:44Speaker 2: and being an actor or drama that would have fit.
- 26:47Speaker 1: I think theater would have been fun.
- 26:48Speaker 3: I took one acting class my summer, my freshman year
- 26:51Speaker 3: summer in college, and I didn't particularly enjoy that class.
- 26:54Speaker 3: The instructor was kind of weird, though, but I do.
- 26:57Speaker 3: I The one thing I wanted to do but didn't
- 26:59Speaker 3: have time for in high school was I wanted to
- 27:01Speaker 3: try theater.
- 27:02Speaker 4: See that would have made so much more sense.
- 27:04Speaker 1: I know, we're such theater kids.
- 27:05Speaker 4: Gosh, like in the soul. Yeah, I love sports.
- 27:08Speaker 2: I needed it, But I also would have wished that
- 27:10Speaker 2: somebody would have been like, hey, but I also didn't
- 27:11Speaker 2: have this personality then that was something that had to
- 27:14Speaker 2: uncover through the right people in the right environment where
- 27:16Speaker 2: I was like, oh, I feel comfortable in my own skin.
- 27:18Speaker 4: Yeah, thank god I was not that way in high school.
- 27:20Speaker 3: I think TV production, which is what I did in
- 27:22Speaker 3: high school too, was a lot like theater though, so
- 27:24Speaker 3: like I think seeing the sense of community that theater
- 27:26Speaker 3: kids have, I think I would.
- 27:27Speaker 1: Have loved that.
- 27:28Speaker 2: Would you ever try the adult theater stuff that they
- 27:30Speaker 2: have here? Because they have it all day every day?
- 27:32Speaker 2: You can go do a Thursday night theater club.
- 27:34Speaker 3: I think the closest thing I'll probably get to doing
- 27:36Speaker 3: any kind of like drama or theater stuff is maybe comedy.
- 27:40Speaker 3: I could see myself maybe having a drunken stint doing
- 27:44Speaker 3: a stand up comedy special. I could see that because
- 27:46Speaker 3: I don't think, because I do sometimes watch movies and
- 27:49Speaker 3: I go, I feel like I could.
- 27:50Speaker 4: Do better than that.
- 27:51Speaker 3: That's so true, which I know is really mess up
- 27:53Speaker 3: because I'm sure people listen to our job and.
- 27:55Speaker 1: Go I could do better than that.
- 27:56Speaker 4: Very true as well.
- 27:57Speaker 3: But I love reading and storytelling so much that I
- 28:00Speaker 3: think that's something I.
- 28:01Speaker 1: Would have enjoyed.
- 28:02Speaker 2: Mmm.
- 28:02Speaker 4: Have you ever done just an open mic night at
- 28:04Speaker 4: a comedy club?
- 28:05Speaker 1: Well?
- 28:05Speaker 3: No, wait no, we did for the Bird Show ones
- 28:08Speaker 3: and it did well. It actually went over really well,
- 28:10Speaker 3: which is pro why I thought i'd.
- 28:11Speaker 1: Be good at it.
- 28:12Speaker 2: That's actually a really cool so I've always been that's
- 28:14Speaker 2: the one thing that terrifies me in a comedy.
- 28:17Speaker 3: Yeah, but if you think about it, doing a podcast
- 28:19Speaker 3: is in a way a form of stand up comedy,
- 28:22Speaker 3: I know.
- 28:22Speaker 2: But to think about writing out the jokes that I
- 28:24Speaker 2: want to tell and like to tell it in a
- 28:25Speaker 2: funny way. I could get on stage and just be
- 28:28Speaker 2: a goofball and that will get laughs naturally. But to
- 28:31Speaker 2: have the art of telling comedy is a whole new
- 28:34Speaker 2: skill set.
- 28:34Speaker 3: Because you can't just turn off. You're not performing, You're
- 28:37Speaker 3: being who you are and expressing yourself.
- 28:40Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's like the best form of storytelling. You
- 28:42Speaker 2: see a good comic, that would be something I would
- 28:45Speaker 2: love to see, especially if you stepped more into it.
- 28:47Speaker 4: I'd be like, I would support you.
- 28:48Speaker 1: I know, we'll think about it.
- 28:49Speaker 3: Maybe when radio goes away, I'll be like, well, I
- 28:51Speaker 3: have to pay the bills somehow. Comedy, you're just gonna
- 28:54Speaker 3: go hoour my comedy out on the on the stage
- 28:56Speaker 3: at Odyssey.
- 28:57Speaker 4: Well, Jesus, Odyssey is a club.
- 29:00Speaker 1: You're in Tampa. You're gonna see girls being like the
- 29:03Speaker 1: boobs are out and I'm gonna be like and then
- 29:05Speaker 1: my mom.
- 29:07Speaker 4: Welcome to the stage, Yabby.
- 29:09Speaker 1: He's telling religious trauma comedy.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Good lord, Well, I'm excited for your wedding party this weekend.
- 29:15Speaker 2: You said you're not gonna be getting your brother a gift,
- 29:17Speaker 2: which is understandable.
- 29:18Speaker 1: I've gotten him plenty of gifts.
- 29:20Speaker 4: He I think he's good.
- 29:21Speaker 1: I literally planned his proposal and.
- 29:23Speaker 4: Is the best gift he could have is his future wife.
- 29:26Speaker 1: Right, Yeah, that's my thing is why does my brother
- 29:29Speaker 1: need a gift?
- 29:30Speaker 3: He has a six figure income, a beautiful future wife,
- 29:35Speaker 3: and a house. I'm like, I'm over here being like
- 29:37Speaker 3: Harel Parel.
- 29:39Speaker 4: I need food.
- 29:40Speaker 1: I need how do I pay for my sixth fresh
- 29:42Speaker 1: kitchen in a row?
- 29:44Speaker 3: But now, I definitely showered him with the gifts already,
- 29:47Speaker 3: and I planned his engagement party as well.
- 29:49Speaker 4: I think that's the role of the sister though.
- 29:51Speaker 1: That's that's the role that I play. I'm given enough.
- 29:53Speaker 3: There you go, Okay, it's my turn next after this.
- 29:55Speaker 3: I'm literally I'm just gonna pick some dude just for
- 29:58Speaker 3: the sake of getting a registered I'm just gonna like, yeah,
- 30:01Speaker 3: me and Jared are gonna get married.
- 30:04Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 30:04Speaker 3: I'm just picking like a white boy name are getting
- 30:06Speaker 3: married and then here is our registry us all.
- 30:11Speaker 2: I hope it happens. I think there's still this time.
- 30:13Speaker 2: I think there's time for a date. I don't know
- 30:15Speaker 2: if you have enough time to bring somebody to the
- 30:17Speaker 2: wedding by July.
- 30:19Speaker 1: I'm going by myself.
- 30:20Speaker 4: Unless you meet somebody like this week.
- 30:22Speaker 1: I needed to meet them yesterday.
- 30:24Speaker 4: Sorry about Begger. You go out to the club again.
- 30:27Speaker 4: They go Friday stairs.
- 30:29Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe Bay Shore Bays will pay off though.
- 30:31Speaker 4: Maybe maybe not?
- 30:33Speaker 1: Maybe not? Abby, what is your social media at the
- 30:35Speaker 1: Abbey Murphy?
- 30:36Speaker 2: And mine is at Scott Tavlin and follow along at

- 30:41Speaker 2: just mentioned Bay, Sure, Bay Bay.
- 30:45Speaker 3: If you want to see all the hot singles in
- 30:46Speaker 3: Tampa that aren't me, you've been checked out all the
- 30:49Speaker 3: interviews I've interviewed Jake, a lovely gay man out in
- 30:52Speaker 3: Tampa who and then Tim who was looking for his
- 30:55Speaker 3: Catholic queen, and then Scott your wife up.
- 30:57Speaker 1: So you're done, Wow, you're none.
- 30:59Speaker 4: It's a fun as to follow them
