- 0:53Today. On hubba-wha our contestants
- 0:56will be going on their own Muppet monster adventure with a
- 1:00series of Spooktacular questions themed Around The Lovable
- 1:05Monsters of Sesame Street and the Muppet Show.
- 1:08But please don't run away because Kind to your
- 1:12neighborhood monsters. They might be Harry and
- 1:14sometimes scary but they cannot help it.
- 1:18As always, these questions were written by me with help from
- 1:22that amazing Muppet resource Muppet.
- 1:25Wiki. And speaking of, let's agree to
- 1:28play fair today, please don't, look at Muppet Wiki or any other
- 1:32resource during this game. Anyone who cheats will be fed to
- 1:36the luncheon counter monster. So let's welcome.
- 1:41New folks into our monster Clubhouse.
- 1:44It's time for our first round, which we call to tell a face
- 1:50contestants buzz in to answer three questions about yourself.
- 1:56Whoever buzzes in first will get introduced first ready.
- 2:00Go All right. Patrick, wow.
- 2:06So Patrick, what is your name? My name is Patrick Cotner.
- 2:12And Patrick. What is your history with the
- 2:15Muppets? Oh wow.
- 2:18I mean that's a big question. It started as a very small
- 2:22child. My Grandma had a lot of my aunts
- 2:26stuff from the 70s and 80s books, and VHS is taped off a TV
- 2:31stuff like that, and it just kind of grew and Grew From There
- 2:36into an unhealthy obsession. And what Muppet moment or Muppet
- 2:44thing scared? You the most, when you were a
- 2:47child, that's a great question. Do you know who one of the
- 2:52episodes that we had on VHS was the Vincent Price one.
- 2:57So we watch that a lot so spooky Muppet stuff is like very early
- 3:02ingrained in my head but the things that always creeped me
- 3:07out that I didn't like, which aren't necessarily Early scary
- 3:10and it's kind of weird that this is like the thing that I
- 3:13remember just like feeling uncomfortable around where the
- 3:16stalactites in the stalagmites that would like talk and do you
- 3:22know one-liners and stuff like that.
- 3:24I think it's in the Vincent Price episode, right?
- 3:26Or the Alice Cooper one. It's in one of those two think,
- 3:29it's Alice Cooper and Alice Cooper.
- 3:32And it was a real honor and Vincent Price were on the same
- 3:34VHS are on the same BHS. So it they're very intertwined,
- 3:38my brain. And I just remember, not loving
- 3:40those, and I remember them creeping me out.
- 3:43And every time they zoomed out, I was like, oh, I don't like
- 3:45this. All right, well, that's 20
- 3:49points right there. Whoa, we do, let's move on.
- 3:53See, here you go. Look at that.
- 3:54You're in the lead. We got a nice comfortable lead,
- 3:59Anthony. I'm going to ask you the same
- 4:01three questions. Anthony, what's your name?
- 4:04Anthony strand. Correct, although you said we're
- 4:08welcoming me into the monster club house so it's a monster
- 4:12Clubhouse. Then I'm Nerf.
- 4:13Okay? I'm I'm Phoebe.
- 4:15Okay. Patrick is the elephant who has
- 4:18to come in and chase us in a circle like that.
- 4:23Anthony, what's your history with the Muppets?
- 4:27I have always watched them as far back as I can remember.
- 4:30I'm sure I've told this on every I was going to say, I feel like
- 4:33by now you have. But so I'll say this about
- 4:38Muppet. This isn't this isn't the creepy
- 4:40thing, but I remember reading the Muppet Show book as a kid
- 4:44before I ever saw the Vincent Price episode.
- 4:47And thinking Uncle deadly was the coolest and best Muppet who
- 4:50ever existed? Even though I had never seen or
- 4:53heard him in actual production. It's funny because, like, any
- 4:58time anyone sees Uncle deadly. That's what they think.
- 5:01And it's weird that it took the Muppets like 40 years for them
- 5:07to realize that, like, it's very frustrating because he always
- 5:12used to be very high up there for me, too.
- 5:14I always like, oh, ankle badly. He rules here.
- 5:16He's like one of my favorites and then you're like he's in
- 5:18like four episodes of The Muppet Show, like he's like not really
- 5:22in it that way and I know fine it and now he's basically a main
- 5:26character but yeah like in the new stuff like and now he's he's
- 5:30also I'll guess I'll come in with a hot take currently.
- 5:33He has the same performer as Kermit the Frog and a million
- 5:37times more personality than Kermit the Frog.
- 5:40Yeah, I I'm not going to tread into those Waters right now, you
- 5:46can. But I'll say this, I'll say
- 5:48this. I think it's easier to give
- 5:51deadly a distinct personality than it is to try to reinvent
- 5:55Kermit the Frog. And yes, that's right.
- 5:57Thousands percent and that's what I was gonna say is Matt's
- 6:01great. Like Matt Vogel is it.
- 6:02Yeah, he's very funny. But like, what are you going to
- 6:07do with Kermit? 44 tournament?
- 6:08Sure, it's also fair that they haven't really given Kermit any
- 6:12good. Real, like he just isn't in the
- 6:16Haunted Mansion really at all. And yeah, and Anthony as you
- 6:21said, there's another question coming.
- 6:22What? Muppet moment scared you, the
- 6:25most, when you were a child? So this one I think is pretty
- 6:28common but it's the sketch where Ernie and Bert are in an
- 6:31Egyptian pyramid and the statues come to life to torment Ernie.
- 6:35And he tries to tell his best friend and his best friend
- 6:38disregards, his concerns out of hand and he slowly won't nervous
- 6:41breakdown. And then Locked in a tiny room.
- 6:44You know, four thousand miles away from home by himself with a
- 6:48monster and the resolution is that the monster thinks it's
- 6:52fun. I don't remember how I felt
- 6:56about that sketch when I was a child, I was probably afraid of
- 6:59it. It's one of my favorites now,
- 7:01and actually for Sesame Street's 40th anniversary.
- 7:05They did t-shirt design contest and I designed a t-shirt based
- 7:11on that sketch. I have to see if I can still
- 7:13find the design, but it's now one of my favorites, but it is
- 7:18extremely upsetting when you are a child and like, we're an
- 7:23article on tough pigs about that.
- 7:25And I didn't even write it. It was it was by Stacey Rosen
- 7:28who I believe has also been on this podcast she has.
- 7:32Um but so like I know I'm not the only one, you know.
- 7:36Anyway you also scored 20 points, there goes your lead.
- 7:42Oh well. All right.
- 7:44Well, now it's time for us to move into our second round,
- 7:48which is a little Muppet Monster game.
- 7:51I like to call this game is not about the little Muppet
- 7:55Monsters. I specifically wanted to get
- 8:00Anthony excited and then so specifically, this game is about
- 8:06the regular sized monsters in the Muppet troop, I'm going to
- 8:10ask you a variety of different questions about From monsters
- 8:14from The Muppet Show some might ask you to remember names.
- 8:18Others might ask you to. Remember sketches or details,
- 8:22regardless, each of these questions is worth one point.
- 8:26However, getting certain questions?
- 8:28Correct will trigger bonus questions which are even harder
- 8:33and worth three points each please wait until I'm done
- 8:38asking my question to buzz in. So the audience at home can play
- 8:42along Here we go. Question 1.
- 8:46Jack isn't his name. It was his job in The Muppet
- 8:49Movie Patrick sweetums, baby. Correct?
- 8:57Sorry. Anthony.
- 8:59It's all gone. I'm gonna apologize after
- 9:01everyone that I get, right? I just want to make that clear.
- 9:05They start easy and get hard. I'm aware that that was a very
- 9:08easy, never heard of them. Yeah.
- 9:11Sweetums who see ya? Question 2.
- 9:15This monster haunted the Muppet Theater in the Twiggy episode of
- 9:19The Muppet Show. Anthony Uncle deadly!
- 9:26That is Uncle deadly question 3 the mean mama a brown furry
- 9:32monster. Who wants Menace?
- 9:34Don Knotts made one of her only to post Jim Henson appearances
- 9:40in Muppets. Now during which segment did she
- 9:44appear? Which of those recurring Muppets
- 9:46now segments? Anthony, I do not remember so I
- 9:52will just guess lifestyle. Only with Miss Piggy, it was not
- 9:56lifestyle. I old with Miss Piggy.
- 10:00Patrick any guesses, man, I'm just going to throw one out
- 10:04there. Was it a muppet lab sketch?
- 10:08It was not, it was, it was a segment on peppe's.
- 10:14Unbelievable game, show the contestants.
- 10:16Had to throw socks into the mean.
- 10:19Mama, Mouth here. There was a bonus question here,
- 10:22though. So you guys are going to have to
- 10:23buzz in for the bonus question. Since neither of you.
- 10:26Got the regular answer, correct. Okay.
- 10:29What was the only other post-1990 production to use mean
- 10:34mama? Patrick just gonna say Muppets
- 10:41tonight. It was not Muppets tonight.
- 10:43Wow, good guess. Okay.
- 10:47This one is hard. Yeah it's probably she's in
- 10:50Muppets racemania or something. She's not.
- 10:53It's actually the dog City TV show.
- 10:56No kidding. Oh wow.
- 11:00The Ana the animated one know or they same show but yeah sure.
- 11:08During one of the puppet framing sequences.
- 11:12One of the characters has a nightmare and that is the
- 11:14monster. He Dreaming about otherwise that
- 11:19character is not in Muppets tonight or racemania or the 2011
- 11:24movie. Yeah, characters like that.
- 11:27It feels like it's such an easy one to use.
- 11:30You know what I mean? It's like, you got the puppet.
- 11:31It clearly is not broken down, if it's in Muppets now, I'm up.
- 11:34Its now, and it has yielded. It has no distinctive voice.
- 11:37It just yells. Yeah.
- 11:39That's, that's a very similar Uncle deadly thing where it's
- 11:42like you could do anything when a character, if you want
- 11:45solutely. Yeah, question for this monster
- 11:51who asked Paul Williams for anything cheaper is named after
- 11:55a sketch where he tried to upset a little girl, Patrick beautiful
- 12:03day monster. That is the Beautiful Day
- 12:05monster. Sorry, question 5, while this
- 12:11Muppet is referred to as Behemoth on Muppets tonight.
- 12:15His current performer, Bill Beretta usually refers to him by
- 12:19this name after bills, brother. Anthony Jean.
- 12:28It is Jean. Question, six before their
- 12:33return in 2011's, The Muppets the large purple full-bodied
- 12:38mutations last appeared in which 80s Muppet production.
- 12:47Anthony, is it a celebration of 30 years?
- 12:50It is not Patrick. Can you steal?
- 12:54Is it the Fantastic Miss Piggy show?
- 12:56It is not fall. It is something you guys both
- 13:01have seen the great Muppet, Caper really?
- 13:05Wow, the bonus question was which number or seen are they in
- 13:15Anthony? Thank you for buzzing again.
- 13:16Hey, a movie. They are in.
- 13:18Hey, a movie, they are in the truck of monsters in jail.
- 13:23Yeah, yeah. Again another group of Puppets
- 13:27that just didn't Up here from. Yeah, 2011.
- 13:32I think they might have broken down, though.
- 13:34I think they might have sure we built and I guess.
- 13:37Also, they sort of got away from characters that like, don't
- 13:41really talk and are just like a costume.
- 13:43Yeah, you know. Yeah, and those guys don't do
- 13:45much, they only, I think needed to rebuild them because they
- 13:48wanted to redo the yeah, Muppet Show theme.
- 13:52And speaking of this in question 7, this monster was glaringly
- 13:58absent from all. All modern Recreations of the
- 14:01Muppet Show Theme. Anthony, I just about set it
- 14:08right now while we were talking it's Timmy monster.
- 14:11It is Timmy, monster and Anthony, here's a bonus
- 14:14question, what was unusual about Timmy's eyes in season 1 of The
- 14:19Muppet Show? Eyelashes, had eyelashes
- 14:25incorrect. Patrick, Can you steal?
- 14:28Don't know if I can but this is I believe the funniest question.
- 14:33Of all, I love it so much. Hang on, I let not, I did.
- 14:38He have eyebrows. He didn't.
- 14:40He had these giant goggle like wires that were seriously.
- 14:46Like, oh, sure. Dinner plate sized.
- 14:49He's only in basically, like one or two episodes that season but
- 14:53you can see it in Ben, Vereen and Ben.
- 14:56Vereen sings Pure Imagination, he walks out and he has these
- 14:59giant like hula hoops. For his eyes and last question
- 15:06of this round, which is again about forgotten characters with
- 15:11reappearances. That's what a lot of these
- 15:13monster questions are about. That's really what there is to
- 15:16say. About a lot of these monsters
- 15:19question, eight, the clodhoppers were a muppet Dance, Troupe of
- 15:23full-body monsters, who looked kind of like Grover.
- 15:26They only appeared in three episodes of The Muppet Show, but
- 15:30they did dance with which guests.
- 15:33Our on Muppets tonight. Mmm Anthony is it Paula Abdul.
- 15:40It sure. Is the one who makes sense to be
- 15:43dancing with strange creatures. I was going through every single
- 15:48one, in my head. I was like, it's not this, it's
- 15:49not that. Yeah.
- 15:50I again I know you guys watched all of those maybe a year ago.
- 15:55It's true. Yeah, that's true.
- 16:00I mean I know Anthony watched all of those that I wrote them
- 16:04all. Yeah I was gonna say and then I
- 16:08know. Yeah you guys did a marathon.
- 16:10I'm very Pro Muppets tonight. I love - tonight I think it's
- 16:14fun. I think it's a shame.
- 16:16I think it's a shame. How many characters they have
- 16:18not brought back to use from Muppets tonight.
- 16:21I think it's a real bummer. I think I think it was the kind
- 16:23of thing that was there were absolutely some real terrible
- 16:26parts of it and some parts that have not aged well.
- 16:29Yeah, at all. Yeah, you know but and it's it's
- 16:33also a weird thing where you talk about bringing characters
- 16:35back, there's been almost a whole cast turnover since then.
- 16:39Yeah, Dave goals and Bill Beretta are the only two
- 16:42performers from that show who are still with them up.
- 16:44Well, Brian Brian came back for Halloween, that's true.
- 16:48Yeah, but I let me say this, let me say this, I want to take
- 16:52credit for this publicly. When we did The Muppets tonight
- 16:56re-watch, Brian. Was there bill was there.
- 16:59And we went hard on how much we miss sound, John we've been so
- 17:04hard and they were not in production yet for haunted
- 17:08mansion and guess who came back. Well, Salen Johnny and I want to
- 17:12take as much credit as I can for that will give it to you.
- 17:17Thank you. I need to go.
- 17:19Okay. Okay.
- 17:20Now as my bonus Point time, yeah, they'll maybe you, maybe I
- 17:23should ask you this bonus question.
- 17:25Hey, guess I could give you a bonus point for bringing Yes, I
- 17:31would love that, I would love that.
- 17:33But anyway, as I was saying some of it hasn't aged, well, some of
- 17:36it isn't funny, but a lot of it is really funny and really
- 17:40clever and I feel like if they got a second season, I mean, I
- 17:44know that we always say this about any, any TV show, that's
- 17:47canceled whether it has the Muppets or not, it's always like
- 17:51just got a second season now, but I do feel that way for
- 17:54Muppets tonight. There's just so many like even I
- 17:57mean I know that, you know, I'm leaving and not performing for a
- 18:01long time. Takes out a lot of those like
- 18:02big care. Like I love and Kevin, I mean
- 18:04Clifford, right? It's true.
- 18:06Yeah, I mean again and also yeah, you know, but I love film
- 18:10and neuter. Give me more Phil vannatter.
- 18:12I love, you know there's so many that it is like the funny thing.
- 18:16The funny thing about filth and neutering here we are getting
- 18:18off topic again huh? I shouldn't be surprised funny
- 18:21thing about filth and neuter is I think the bookends yeah of
- 18:26tales from the vet are hilarious then Every time.
- 18:30It's like, the turkey that was in an oven.
- 18:33I'm like, sure. This isn't yours.
- 18:34Yeah. Funny, this part isn't funny.
- 18:37Yeah, it feels so weird to like the bookend more than what is
- 18:40estate? Yeah, well, and is hilarious,
- 18:45when I think of Phil though. I think of my place from space,
- 18:47which I'm also I love UPS from space and I that might be a hot
- 18:50take. I don't know.
- 18:51Not here. I know.
- 18:53I do too not. Not in this recording.
- 18:55So yeah. Well we'll see you know who I
- 18:57get on next week? But I think he's really funny in
- 19:00that movie, you know, I don't know.
- 19:02I just the funniest funniest line in the whole movie is when
- 19:05he needs to check Gonzo's copay. I'm fully the lobotomy.
- 19:10Anyway, Anthony your bonus question in the last bonus.
- 19:13Question of this round, which other Muppets does.
- 19:16Paula Abdul dance with in that performance of Opposites.
- 19:21Attract. There are one, two, three, four,
- 19:25five other characters or groups of characters.
- 19:29So the only one I remember is Cliff Clifford is one of them
- 19:33and then I'll say, Andy and Randy Pig Thor.
- 19:38God of Thunder, David, a hugs, oehlhof, and craney act.
- 19:46Yeah, it's pretty hot. This is what he's cream.
- 19:48Yak one of the pigs in space. Yeah, and characters, he's the
- 19:52one who is a brain, who isn't a pig.
- 19:54Sure you go. None of those were right.
- 19:56Except Clifford Patrick Can you steal?
- 19:59I'm gonna just throw in mulch. No, no, no.
- 20:03So weirdly this sketch was like was a weird Muppet, Show
- 20:08throwback because it also featured Sweetums in one of his
- 20:11only. My think is only Muppets
- 20:13tonight. Appearance dog, Lion and the
- 20:17boss, the boss man. Yeah and Anthony your favorites.
- 20:22The extremes from the Jim Henson our they were going Easy doin
- 20:29the Neutron Dance. Yeah.
- 20:31Hey, I didn't expect anyone to get that, but I just, guys, I
- 20:37feel bad that I don't remember. All right, so nice work.
- 20:41Let's move into our third game. The classic game of order,
- 20:46Muppets versus chaos, Muppets and all things that get out of
- 20:49hand. What's prairies problem in this
- 20:52game, your goal is to State how a classic Muppets catch gets
- 20:57resolved. All I'll set up a problem and
- 21:00you are going to tell me how it gets resolved.
- 21:03This time in honor of our monstery theme.
- 21:07Each of these sketches, is either a Muppet Show, sketch,
- 21:11involving some of the Shaggy Fierce Monsters of the Muppet
- 21:15Show or a monsterpiece theater sketch from Sesame Street.
- 21:20I will tell you, the setup of the sketch, your job is to solve
- 21:25the problem by telling me how the sketch ends, you don't have
- 21:28to get the Wording, like, I'm not looking for like a specific
- 21:31wording. You have to tell me how it
- 21:33resolves. Each of these questions is going
- 21:35to be worth one point as always. Please wait until I finish
- 21:39describing the sketch before. Buzzing in and revealing the
- 21:42ending. This is the hole.
- 21:45Oh, this is a pretty same. Here we go.
- 21:47Question, 1 in a Muppet Show, sketch a woman sings.
- 21:51I feel pretty while changing her face to look increasingly
- 21:55frightening. This is okay because she's got a
- 21:57date with Anthony. Another monster.
- 22:06It is another monster. I will give you a point for
- 22:08that. Anyone Patrick, do you remember
- 22:11which monster is it? Beautiful day.
- 22:12Monstered is the beautiful days monster.
- 22:15I will give you a point for that question to in a monsterpiece
- 22:19theater sketch based on The Sound of Music.
- 22:22Grover is sitting on a hill, the hill turns out to be Patrick a
- 22:31monster, you know. Wow.
- 22:36I can't believe I made a monster the answer to every question?
- 22:41No. Good guess go do that.
- 22:44He can, you steal the hill, turns out to be a Snuffleupagus.
- 22:49I don't remember. I truly don't know.
- 22:51It's alive with the sound of music.
- 22:53Oh, just alive? Yeah, it's just a live over
- 22:56thing that I'm over thing, I guess we could consider Her, I
- 22:59guess we could consider a hill hill that's alive to be a
- 23:03monster half point. No question, 3 in a monsterpiece
- 23:10theater sketch based on Little House.
- 23:12On the Prairie, we find that a little house is Anthony on
- 23:21Prairie meaning period on you know on top of prey Dante.
- 23:24Correct and later under next to and then I think in and then she
- 23:30says that's too silly and then Cookie Monster says little house
- 23:34in cookie and then he eats that correct question for just just
- 23:39re-watch that son with my watch that one with my four-year-old
- 23:42son not too long ago it's on the think the 50th Anniversary DVD I
- 23:47believe so. Is that the one that our friend
- 23:49Johannes put together? Yeah, so, you guys are saying, I
- 23:53gotta have a kid. That's what you guys are telling
- 23:56me, that's the reason I'm not getting this.
- 23:57That's why I had kids. All right, listen handsome, I
- 24:00don't have a kid. I just have re-watched.
- 24:04These recent? Yes, I have no excuse, It's
- 24:08delightful. Yeah, I guess I'm my other
- 24:10excuses. I write a muppet quiz show for
- 24:12topics. That kind of makes sense.
- 24:14The question for in a Muppet Show sketch, a big angry monster
- 24:18Just wants to yell Huggle Wugga and won't let anyone say
- 24:21anything else. A yellow thingy thing wants to
- 24:25sing. You Are My Sunshine.
- 24:28The big monster keeps attacking, but in the end, Anthony the
- 24:36thingy thing blows him away with smoke out of the top of his
- 24:41head. Yeah, he like turns into a
- 24:43cannon. It's yeah, a little hard to
- 24:45describe, but I'll capture question. 5 in a Muppet Show,
- 24:49sketch Madeline. Kahn is enjoying walking through
- 24:52the park. Pointing out all the beautiful
- 24:54things. She enjoys dog lie and follows
- 24:57her destroying everything. She loves Madeline starts
- 25:00telling him all. Ways that dog lion is wonderful,
- 25:03which makes the monster. Anthony one second earlier,
- 25:11shrink he becomes tiny. What happens at what happens
- 25:14after that? I truly don't remember, the very
- 25:17end of the sketch though. So if you well, that's okay,
- 25:18Patrick. What happens once he becomes
- 25:20very small and I don't remember, I remember the sketch and I
- 25:24would have said get smaller, but I don't remember how it does.
- 25:26She eat him? No, she she hits him with her
- 25:29umbrella and he follows. Oh sure.
- 25:32Sure. Question 6 in a monsterpiece
- 25:35theater sketch based on the 39 steps.
- 25:37Oops, Grover climbs 39 steps at the top.
- 25:42Is Anthony and exit sign. It is not an exit sign.
- 25:50Patrick, you want to guess, flied, a slide I wish.
- 25:55Unfortunately, for Grover a brick wall.
- 25:59Oh, that's better. That's better than Flash.
- 26:02And he gets very tired because he walked up 39 steps.
- 26:05Uh-huh question. 7. It a Muppet Show sketch.
- 26:09The luncheon. Counter Monster eats a talking
- 26:12machine which keeps explaining its component parts as he Is it
- 26:16when he is finally eating the whole machine?
- 26:18He learns that it's really Anthony a bomb or some kind of
- 26:26explosive. Yeah, specifically the most
- 26:28powerful explosive in the world, we are told, which, I guess
- 26:32means that the entire Muppet Show is destroyed because the
- 26:36atom bomb existed in 1979 question, 8 in a monsterpiece
- 26:42theater sketch called waiting for Elmo.
- 26:45Obviously inspired by Waiting for Godot Telly, and Grover are
- 26:49waiting for Elmo under a tree and reflecting.
- 26:52On all the different emotions they feel while doing.
- 26:55So since Elmo like Godot, never shows up, how does the sketch
- 27:01end? Patrick do they just get up and
- 27:09leave? No.
- 27:10Okay. Anthony's.
- 27:11You Can you steal they Telly to start showing his triangle
- 27:16collection? I don't know.
- 27:17No, the tree that they're waiting by gets bored and walks
- 27:21away makes like a tree and leaves.
- 27:24Now, guessing the ending to Sesame Street sketches is so
- 27:27much harder than guessing the ending to a Muppet Show sketch
- 27:30right now. I feel like my patrols like, I
- 27:31don't know. They get eaten.
- 27:32Yeah. Yeah.
- 27:35Sesame Street. Yeah, a little harder.
- 27:37Yeah. Question 9 in the Harvey Korman
- 27:40episode of The Muppet Show. Fog is a Ferocious Beast trained
- 27:44by a master animal tamer. SOG explains that in the ACT, he
- 27:49wanted to ride this kind of animal but Harvey Korman was
- 27:52afraid of it. Anthony.
- 27:57Is it a pony? It is a pony, and last question
- 28:02in this round in a sketch based on Hamlet.
- 28:07Unfortunately, Mel, Gibson plays Hamlet, this is a monsterpiece
- 28:11theater sketch. Anyway, Mel Gibson is troubled
- 28:15by words, words words, his friend Elmo.
- 28:19However, is troubled by. Anthony letters letters letters,
- 28:27hmm, close Elmo. Can't read, though, Patrick
- 28:31numbers, numbers numbers, no Elmo, can't read pictures,
- 28:35pictures, pictures, okay, sure. All right, well, yeah, that's
- 28:42one that, you know, I don't think they re are very often.
- 28:45Yeah. So, but it was the reason I
- 28:48remember that one. So vividly in the Sesame Street,
- 28:51Treat unpaved book. They had the full transcript of
- 28:55that written out. Oh yeah.
- 28:57You know what? I own that book?
- 29:19What's that noise? LOL.
- 29:23Oh, it's frazzle here to tell us that it's time to play Beat the
- 29:28time. That's right.
- 29:32It's our special head-to-head round in this round.
- 29:35The rules are a little different.
- 29:37I'm going to ask a question with many correct answers.
- 29:41Starting with Patrick, you will give an answer to my question
- 29:44then we'll move to a knee will alternate back and forth until
- 29:49someone gets a question wrong or Takes too long to answer.
- 29:54Then your opponent will have a chance to steal if neither
- 29:58player can answer the round ends, that's right.
- 30:04This round is going to be about frazzle now mr.
- 30:09Frazzle has emotions like the rest of us do but he has his own
- 30:12way of showing them specifically.
- 30:14Frazzle always seems like he's saying the exact same thing
- 30:18which the subtitles on Sesame Street's YouTube referred to as
- 30:22A last growl that thing can represent so many different
- 30:28emotions feelings and phrases starting with Patrick.
- 30:33You will each take turns naming something that frazzles laughs
- 30:37growls, could mean, according to the classic Sesame Street song,
- 30:44frazzle, there are nine things that the frazzle tones mention
- 30:49that it could mean when frazzle goes So I'm gonna give you guys
- 30:54a clue before we start. Most of these are emotions.
- 30:58Patrick. Let's start with you.
- 31:03Angry. Surprisingly, no frazzle is
- 31:07never angry Anthony. Do you know, one of the ways
- 31:11that what frazzles sound could mean?
- 31:14Well happy? Yeah, they say glad, but I will
- 31:18give it you for happy. Sure.
- 31:19Glad because it Rhymes more easily with stuff Patrick sad.
- 31:24Correct. Because that also rhymes with a
- 31:26lot of stuff Anthony Grade is day that he ever had.
- 31:32Yeah, I'm counting that as part of glad but Like that.
- 31:35You sang it. Oh, so should I say something
- 31:39else? Yeah, give me some hungry.
- 31:40Hungry, hungry is one of them Patrick.
- 31:44Now, if we said a word already, you would have told us if there
- 31:50was another word comparable to it.
- 31:52Yes, I'm giving you things that are close.
- 31:54Okay. It's not like mad.
- 31:56I don't know what that was. What I was?
- 31:57Yeah no no no. Okay so we said glad sad hungry.
- 32:03Hmm. Yeah, I apologize that you got
- 32:07stuck on a sesame one here. I know.
- 32:10You don't know that as well. Yeah, it's not as well but
- 32:13that's okay. Glad said, hungry upset and
- 32:20that's that's sort of the same thing.
- 32:22That's sad. I know, I know not all of these
- 32:27are emotions. Some of them are simple things
- 32:29that you might want to communicate.
- 32:31Okay, hello. Hello.
- 32:34No not. Hello.
- 32:35Good guess though. Anthony thank you.
- 32:38Well, Patrick I'll give you one because one of them is yes.
- 32:40Okay, one of them is yes, Patrick.
- 32:43Can you gues another one? What about no incorrect?
- 32:47No, it is not. Yes, no is correct.
- 32:52Anthony. Do you have another up feeling?
- 32:54Very sorry but I really must go. Correct.
- 32:57Close enough, it is. Thank you for the dinner but
- 33:00it's getting very late and now I really must go.
- 33:06I transcribe these, as I was watching the YouTube video,
- 33:09there are three that you are missing at this point.
- 33:14I can call it if neither of, you know, Patrick do you have a
- 33:16guess? I mean, Anthony, how are you
- 33:18feeling right now? I mean, I don't know.
- 33:21I like thinking about this song. So I mean I mean I mean I could
- 33:25communicate how I'm feeling by going pretty good.
- 33:32Your father Yeah, there are three left.
- 33:37They are ways that you feel that are not, maybe not emotions as
- 33:42like tired. One of them tired.
- 33:43As one of them for sleepy. Yeah, kind of like hungry.
- 33:47Yeah, the other two are like that.
- 33:53No excited. Hmm, no.
- 33:56All right. Anthony anything.
- 33:58I don't remember the other two are hot.
- 34:03Oh sure. Cold you would think but it is
- 34:07not sleepy. Yes, that's very funny.
- 34:16So, not sleepy. Get any clear analysis one, I
- 34:20love that. Listen, I had to do that.
- 34:24I thought it was. I got it.
- 34:26Yeah, it's great. No, I'm all about it now.
- 34:35For our final regular round, we are going to actually shift in a
- 34:40way to asking about classic monster and ghost movies in a
- 34:45round. I like to call mystery guest and
- 34:49I'm glad both of you are here. Here because I know both of you
- 34:52are movie Buffs in this round. I will describe an appearance by
- 34:57a guest star, in a Muppet or Henson production.
- 35:00Your job is to tell me which, actor, or actress.
- 35:04I'm talking about in this guest star role.
- 35:08What connects these actors together?
- 35:11Is that the correct answer to all of these questions is an
- 35:14actor who has appeared in a famous horror movie or a famous
- 35:20house. Ween themed movie that maybe
- 35:22isn't very scary, but fits into that million.
- 35:27Each of these questions is worth two points.
- 35:30However, if neither of you can answer, I will tell you the
- 35:34spooky movie that the actor appeared in.
- 35:37If you do that, I will let you buzz in and if you get it, then
- 35:41it is worth one point because you needed a clue what we're
- 35:45supposed to name the movie. If we can, if you can sure.
- 35:48I'll give you an extra point if you can name.
- 35:50Mmmmm a movie that the actor was in sure.
- 35:53Why not? So keep moving.
- 35:54Let's pick him up specifically a spooky.
- 35:56Yeah we can't just yet any movie.
- 35:59Yeah. All right, so as always wait
- 36:02until I finished to buzz in, here we go.
- 36:05Question 1. He was the master of a haunted
- 36:09castle that Fozzie and Gonzo, rented, for vacation Patrick,
- 36:17then some price that is Vincent Price.
- 36:20I mean, can you name all spooky movie Vincent Price was a House
- 36:26on Haunted Hill? You're gonna give me a point for
- 36:28every one I can do because we know the Raven Pit and the
- 36:35Pendulum. You still haven't gotten the
- 36:36one. I wrote down though.
- 36:37Well dr. Phibes.
- 36:39No, it's not. No.
- 36:44Wait, was it Laura? Was it Laura for some reason?
- 36:46Now because everybody thinks she's dead I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 36:49I'm gonna expose it. The Comedy of Terrors no, I feel
- 36:53like this is. What was it witchfinder?
- 36:56General, this is what was it? The fly the fly.
- 36:59Is it The Tingler? It was the flag but I
- 37:03appreciate. Was it the Brady Bunch goes to
- 37:06Hawaii. No it was actually what is it?
- 37:09The Scooby-Doo. The one that had the 13 Ghosts
- 37:13of thank you. I was at a friend's house for I
- 37:18want to say oh it was It was a Liam party and they were like,
- 37:23I'm just going to put on every episode of 13, Ghosts of
- 37:26Scooby-Doo. Because there were only like 12.
- 37:29Like there's there's 13. Is there an even 30 of them is
- 37:33exactly. I felt like it hadn't gotten
- 37:35there, because kind of about that, right?
- 37:36Did some stuff. Anyway, so, funny question to he
- 37:43played both of the Wright brothers on The Muppet Show.
- 37:50Anthony. It's Marty Feldman.
- 37:53It is Marty Feldman from which spooky movie?
- 37:57Well, it's I mean Young Frankenstein?
- 37:59Yeah, what you're talking about? I'm sure.
- 38:01Yes, yeah. The which there's there, the
- 38:05poster the tagline on the poster was the scariest comedy of all
- 38:09time, which I'm not sure is accurate, but I don't think, I
- 38:12don't think it is. I mean, I've seen I've seen
- 38:14freaky and happy deathday and there are there a little scarier
- 38:19than Young Frankenstein. I wouldn't call this.
- 38:21Those scary to begin with but yeah, question 3.
- 38:25She performed the voice of Agra in the original Dark Crystal
- 38:33Anthony Billie. Whitelaw it is Billie.
- 38:36Whitelaw from which horror movie Poltergeist.
- 38:39I don't write notes in Poltergeist, not in Poltergeist.
- 38:41Oh wait, no. I know what it is.
- 38:43I'm gonna give Patrick a chance to steal.
- 38:45All right. Okay.
- 38:46Do you know which horror movie Billie Whitelaw is in?
- 38:49Mmm. I'll say The Omen.
- 38:52It is the omen. Whoa, that was, I fully pulled
- 38:55that out. I just made that up.
- 38:58Yeah, she wasn't she wasn't in Poltergeist you just scrambled
- 39:01them. I've had I think I don't have an
- 39:03excuse me. Um, so that has Elda.
- 39:05Yeah. Because, you know about movies.
- 39:07So I was, like, wait, am I ra question for Big Bird appeared
- 39:11as a guest star on this actors short-lived sitcom?
- 39:20Anthony Dan Aykroyd. It sure is dead and the spooky
- 39:27movie is Casper where he plays Ray stantz, wow.
- 39:31I'll give you a point for that. But that was not what I wrote
- 39:33down but you're right. So it has nothing but not too
- 39:36much trouble. Yes, that was the one that told
- 39:38me that joke. Casper's a great pull though.
- 39:42That's yes it counts. He's got a week and he's got
- 39:45it's in that weird race dance, time frame.
- 39:48Had a mustache, but most a chef that can I be candid?
- 39:52I absolutely hate Dan aykroyd's Cameo and Casper.
- 39:54That's why I think about it to be as so it's bad.
- 39:57That movie is not good. Yeah, no.
- 40:00I have it on VHS though for Patrick.
- 40:01Am I correct that you tweeted today that you wanted Dan
- 40:05Aykroyd to come on the George Lucas talks?
- 40:07Of course, I do. I've gone out to his rep so many
- 40:09times and I've said, he can come on for as long as he wants and
- 40:13truly all we will talk about is Crystal had vodka, we will alter
- 40:16in Crystal had vodka, Connor does Not drink, we will do
- 40:19whatever he wants to do and every response we get is no, no.
- 40:24Yeah. So I said, we're taking a
- 40:25public. I said we're going to Tweet
- 40:27Adam. I don't care.
- 40:29You're the one. You're the one show that would
- 40:31let him just just drink. Just talked about his vodka and
- 40:35his weird thoughts about the universe.
- 40:37We won't even talk just say whatever you want, man.
- 40:42I'm your show works if you want to bring up that weird if you
- 40:45want to bring up that weird thing that you said on Larry
- 40:47King where you said, aliens used to come to Earth all the time
- 40:50and then they saw 9/11 happened and now they don't come anymore
- 40:53because they got upset with us. You can say that on the George
- 40:56Lucas Colorado. Dan, there's a real quote from
- 41:01Dan Aykroyd. Well, big bird was on one
- 41:03episode of soul man. Um so a home improvement
- 41:06spin-off. So yeah.
- 41:08Yeah. It's perfect.
- 41:09Our pilot situation, right? Yeah, question five.
- 41:13She experienced a ton of emotions while running into Elmo
- 41:17on Sesame Street. Anthony, Susan, Sarandon.
- 41:25It Is Not Susan Sarandon. You know, I didn't have a Susan,
- 41:27Sarandon question here, but I'd like to write one.
- 41:30I wish I had Patrick. Do you know I'll see.
- 41:33Jamie Lee Curtis. It is Jamie Lee.
- 41:35Curtis my gosh wow. From the classic horror movie.
- 41:40Halloween to correct. I was going to say she voices
- 41:46the loud speaker at the factory in Halloween 3 season of The
- 41:50Witch. Did you really is that true?
- 41:54I love Halloween series and I do too.
- 41:58I've only seen Halloween Halloween you've ever seen.
- 42:01Oh buddy. You got to watch a Halloween
- 42:04tree. Yeah, skip all the others and
- 42:07just watch three that people talk about it being secretly
- 42:09good or whatever. Well, the secret of Halloween 3.
- 42:13Is that Michael Myers, isn't it? Michael Mouse is Michael Myers.
- 42:16Isn't in it, and Halloween is a fictional movie in the plot of
- 42:21Halloween. Oh, is that right correct?
- 42:24It's a bunch of spooky masks. Yeah, it's very
- 42:27halloween-themed. Yeah, let's watch it.
- 42:30Um, I don't care for Halloween too.
- 42:32But anyway, question 6, he played choreographer, Luke
- 42:37fromage in, it's a very merry Muppet.
- 42:40Smith's movie. Patrick Matthew Lillard, it is
- 42:48Matthew Lillard from the horror movie Scream, correct?
- 42:53From from the horror movie. She's All That Scooby-Doo, two
- 42:57Monsters Unleashed. I guess I'd count that I love
- 43:01that, I love that. Matthew Lillard is so good at
- 43:04playing Shaggy and Scooby-Doo movies that he's been voicing,
- 43:07Shaggy a Persona exam. It's so good.
- 43:10Controversially, not in school, but in school, right?
- 43:14now question, 7, she directed Telly monster as he tried to
- 43:19recite little Jack Horner Anthony, so I don't remember
- 43:27this. You said she directed him so I'm
- 43:29gonna guess it's Penny Marshall. It is not Penny Marshall, but
- 43:33great guests from from Hocus Pocus is what I was going to
- 43:36say. Yep, I'll say Kathy Najimy, it
- 43:39is not Kathy Najimy. I'm gonna give you guys a clue
- 43:43that is going to give this away. Here we go.
- 43:46The clue is the Silence of the Lambs.
- 43:49Patrick Jodie Foster correct. It's not the actress who plays
- 43:55Jodie Foster's frame in the Silence of the Lambs.
- 43:58I was I was trying a Brooke Smith.
- 44:01I should have said Brooke Smith the woman, the woman in the pit,
- 44:04that's who it was actually the dog.
- 44:08And last question of this round he guest starred on the March
- 44:1213th 1976 episode of Saturday Night Live and was annoyed when
- 44:19scred interrupted one of his sketches.
- 44:26Patrick-man Elliott Gould. That's right now.
- 44:33It's not. But, you know, he could have
- 44:37Anthony, I guess it's Anthony Perkins.
- 44:39It is Anthony hand. It's the the picture land of
- 44:44gorch characters are in that one, a whole bunch.
- 44:46They keep popping up throughout the episode and his hit horror
- 44:50movie is, of course, psycho to I was the one I was thinking.
- 44:55Not cycle. For the beginning.
- 44:56Is he is he in cycle? Four always.
- 44:59Is he a psycho for the beginning?
- 45:01Yeah. Eyes.
- 45:02And cycle for the beginning. Again, he got out of prison,
- 45:08he's calling into a talk radio show chest and fast.
- 45:12What he did? He killed his mother's boyfriend
- 45:16and it's flashbacks with him and Henry, Thomas who played Little
- 45:20Elliot in e.t. as young Norman Bates.
- 45:24It's a maid We're talking about psycho for the beginning, a
- 45:33movie, I want less than a month ago.
- 45:36Let me guess. Psycho for, it's probably as
- 45:40good if not better than psycho. Correct.
- 45:43I'll say this. I think all three psycho sequels
- 45:46are pretty fun. It's the same situation is
- 45:49Halloween. I've seen the Hitchcock movie.
- 45:51I've seen the John Carpenter movie, you know, but I haven't
- 45:54seen any Is who will really good cycle to.
- 45:57That's really good. Yeah, and it's, you know, right
- 45:59it's from like 1983 or something like that.
- 46:01Yeah, a million years label. And then there's also the remake
- 46:05of psycho one right on baby saw that.
- 46:08Yeah and he yeah Willie Mays may see here.
- 46:12Let's do this. This is our fragile game because
- 46:14go down the cast. Of course.
- 46:18Okay Vince Vince Vaughn from my favorite horror movie freaky
- 46:22freak. My yeah so my favorite but I do
- 46:23real up Phil Up Baker Hall, Viggo Mortensen Julianne Moore
- 46:34Wilson. Any other character in that
- 46:45movie? Yeah.
- 46:55It's Viggo Mortensen. Oh yeah, yeah yeah.
- 46:58That's like you guys might have named all the characters things
- 47:01perfectly but there's like the police chief's wife.
- 47:04There's the doctor at the end. Those are the two I don't worry
- 47:06about. Yeah, right?
- 47:07Yeah, I don't remember. I also haven't seen it since
- 47:092001 Erza. But like, again, famously, it's
- 47:12not a huge cast in that. Yeah, like, we did pretty good.
- 47:15We definitely could have. Yeah, listen.
- 47:17Uh, you know what? I'm gonna give you guys each
- 47:20Four Points. Yeah, we're psycho for thank
- 47:23you, evening us out. But since you each get it it
- 47:27yeah, it does not matter. All right, well, what fun?
- 47:31Now we're moving into the end of the show but now the points are
- 47:36even bigger. This round is the anything in
- 47:39the world prize gay because now you two are able to ask me
- 47:44anything in the world or at least anything in the world of
- 47:48the Muppet Monsters. Each of you will get to ask me a
- 47:51question about those furry chaotic creatures.
- 47:55If you stop me, you will earn 10 points.
- 47:59Here we go. Patrick, do you have a question
- 48:01for me? I do and - sort of there's two
- 48:04parts to this and that's fine. That's fine.
- 48:06Listen, I make my questions nightmares.
- 48:08Yeah. Can make your question, a
- 48:10nightmare. So there's a guy that I love his
- 48:13name. Splurge.
- 48:15Okay. Mallory might have the, we might
- 48:18have the same question. Oh, I said to Mike, that's who
- 48:20mine is about. I'm sure.
- 48:22I'm ready, I'm ready. Have to I have to Majan it is
- 48:25because there's not that. Okay, so Splurge.
- 48:27Okay. Okay.
- 48:28You're both gonna tell me the question and then I'm going to
- 48:30answer both of them because I don't want to answer.
- 48:34Well, we'll figure this out. Wait, why don't you hang on?
- 48:37Why don't you take off your headphones really quick and will
- 48:39confer and see if we have the same?
- 48:40Okay, let me, let me, let me I'm literally going to turn this
- 48:44off. Just wave your hands.
- 48:46Great. All right.
- 48:48Can you hear us? Can you hear us?
- 48:51Okay, thank God. I'm so mine is Mimi.
- 48:55That's news to different questions, different.
- 48:57All right. Okay.
- 48:58The rules are rules. Okay.
- 49:00Are they two different shoes for different speleers, request?
- 49:04Yes, this is, this is what I dream of at night.
- 49:10Now I saw Splurge this weekend because Splurge is at the center
- 49:14for puppetry Arts, is he really? Yes.
- 49:17And I was very excited to see, so I was saying, I haven't
- 49:19gotten out there yet, but I gotta go, the god wasn't there.
- 49:23When I was, oh yeah. He's there and he's beautiful.
- 49:26I'll plug this. Even though this episode is
- 49:28coming out after your episode but the George Lucas talk show
- 49:31was at the center for puppetry arts in Atlanta last week and
- 49:36they had a special guest. Steve Whitmire.
- 49:38Yeah, we went to the Our show is that this place called dad's
- 49:42garage, which is an impromptu you're down there.
- 49:44But Steve Whitmire was on our show and it was rad and I assume
- 49:47by the time. This is up, it will be on
- 49:49YouTube so you can probably watch the whole thing on
- 49:50YouTube. I'll link it in the show notes.
- 49:53He he brought Weldon with him. It was weldon's first in-person
- 49:57live appearance and it was very excited.
- 50:00Whoa, yeah. All right.
- 50:02Well, Patrick I would love to hear your Splurge themed
- 50:06question. Okay.
- 50:07So as we know splurge Is a big purple man, man, woman, I don't
- 50:15know Splurge. Yeah, I don't know, either
- 50:17gender expression but there is one appearance from what I can
- 50:22tell. Where Splurge is not purple.
- 50:27Do you know what color Splurge was one time and where the
- 50:31appearance was, okay? He was blue and not purple.
- 50:36Okay? But I do have to name where yes,
- 50:42And I think this is an all-or-nothing scenario.
- 50:44We are 100% on. Yeah.
- 50:46Listen. I I make it harder for me.
- 50:48Yeah. I'll be generous with you guys
- 50:50are sure. This is on me.
- 50:53I'm supposed to, you know, be prepared here.
- 50:56It's all on one of the talk shows, right that?
- 51:01No. Was he ever on a talk show?
- 51:03I guess. I'm going to say The Tonight.
- 51:05Show incorrect. Hmm, 1966 appearance on the Ed
- 51:09Sullivan Show. He's blue.
- 51:11You got the blue. It you got it.
- 51:12Right, ya know that I know because I've seen I've seen the
- 51:14pictures. It's just trying to remember.
- 51:17Sure. Sure, sure, yeah.
- 51:19Like, you know, as you can tell from how I write these
- 51:21questions, I will just sit on Muppet Wiki and just literally
- 51:25click through pick, of course. Absolutely, that's the way that
- 51:29I get these questions. But yeah.
- 51:30So I remembered seeing him being blue.
- 51:33Yeah, I don't remember Ed Sullivan, but hey, that's 10
- 51:37points. Patrick, there you go.
- 51:39That makes up for the frazzle round.
- 51:41Well, Depends. Am I going to get a knees?
- 51:43Oh, Anthony. You've got a Splurge question
- 51:46for me. I do.
- 51:47I do. So we all know Splurge.
- 51:49Of course is a big purple man from his breakout supporting
- 51:52role in. Hey Cinderella.
- 51:53Um, shortly after his Ed Sullivan appearance, but 30
- 51:58years later, Splurge starred in a picture book.
- 52:02Part of the Jim Henson scary. Scary monsters book series, what
- 52:06was the name of splurges picture book?
- 52:07That he started? It's called new friend blue
- 52:11friend. Yeah.
- 52:15Is it is? It's called new friend, Balu
- 52:17friends, wish his new friends. Blue friend is a slipper that
- 52:24fell over a waterfall. From the human world into the
- 52:29world of Jim Henson scary. Scary monsters.
- 52:33But what's the name of the new friend blue friend because they
- 52:36said that should have been my question.
- 52:37If you think I'm bad and I say you can't have it it's like yeah
- 52:45it's floofy. I should have guessed.
- 52:49I like marbles better. Yeah, that really should have
- 52:51been really. Should have been my question.
- 52:52It's sort of you underestimated me.
- 52:56You underestimated? My knowledge of Jim Henson's
- 52:58scary, scary monsters. I think there were made in the
- 53:01to picture books ever. That line?
- 53:05No. No.
- 53:05They did one for every scary. Scary monster.
- 53:07Oh, okay. But but they all of the others
- 53:09were original characters and the inexplicably Splurge, there's
- 53:13not an ecstatic, because so we do know there's five, there's
- 53:16five. Okay, there's a new friend.
- 53:18Blue friend Norbert is no Z. XU B is short.
- 53:23Now I'm going to skip one and then come back to it.
- 53:25Zuzu is zany. And then there's one that I
- 53:27don't like and this one is called smooches, a smoocher and
- 53:31I don't like that one. Folks, I hope smooch got
- 53:37everyone's consent before smooching them.
- 53:42All right, well, let me quickly tally the scores and then we'll
- 53:45move into our final round. This is closed.
- 53:49Yeah, because I didn't ask you about floofy.
- 53:52Yeah, so our current scores because you didn't ask me about
- 53:56floofy or about smoocher the Smoochy or whatever death to
- 54:02Death to Smoochy Earth. That's the total.
- 54:06Yeah, so because you didn't ask me about that.
- 54:09Our current scores are Patrick with 47 points and Anthony with
- 54:1349 points. Whoa, whoa.
- 54:18And that's including the for bonus points.
- 54:19I gave each of you for knowing so much about the psycho remake.
- 54:23That makes sense. Sure, it's a reimagining except
- 54:27with very little imagination. Uh-huh.
- 54:29Um very little imagination. Yeah.
- 54:31Yeah. Speaking of I do, A transition.
- 54:35Hold on. Speaking of things that probably
- 54:39shouldn't happen. I'm going to ask you a real
- 54:43challenging question in our final high-stakes competition,
- 54:47say the word in this round, you can wager any amount of points.
- 54:52The winner gets those points, loser loses them.
- 54:56It's kind of like on that other show.
- 54:57You will unlike on that other show?
- 55:00Get to hear the question before you wager.
- 55:03So now your question while he isn't a muppet monster Per se,
- 55:09vampires are monsters in our favorite vampire is Count Von
- 55:14count in various projects over the years.
- 55:18The counts age has been given as different numbers.
- 55:22However, most recently in a 20-17 interview with wired, how
- 55:29old does the count claim he is. Neither of you are going to get
- 55:32this exact but whoever gets the closest will win.
- 55:37They're bet how old does the count claim he is in the most
- 55:44recent interview on this subject?
- 55:50All right, so neither of you got it.
- 55:53Exact Anthony what did you guess?
- 55:56Yes. 900 you guessed 900? Patrick.
- 55:59What did you guess? I guess 3467.
- 56:03The correct answer that. No one was going to get is of
- 56:07course. Six million five hundred twenty
- 56:11three thousand seven hundred twenty eight years old.
- 56:17I do want to note, I did my research 6.5 million years ago
- 56:22is when the first hominins developed meaning that the count
- 56:27is one of the Earth's first, humanoid beings are your guesses
- 56:34of your guesses. Patrick 167 is closer to six
- 56:40point. Five million than 900.
- 56:41Is I'm not a mathematician but I think I know that so Patrick you
- 56:47win back your bet of 47, bringing you to a score of 94
- 56:53points and Antony, unfortunately, you're 33 lose
- 56:58losses for three but we will get you back.
- 57:02We will get you back. I mean, I've already sent you a
- 57:04magnet. Anyway, you sent me a magnet of
- 57:07Wood Clapper. That's I'm sure did with 94
- 57:12points. Ah, our winner and this week's
- 57:16toughest pig is Patrick cotton or wow.
- 57:20So sorry Anthony yeah it happens.
- 57:22I put that last question as like a complete like it's anybody's
- 57:26game. I like Willie thing.
- 57:28Yeah, for sure. Like I said, I didn't think
- 57:31anyone would get that. Anyway, Patrick you win your
- 57:35choice of these seeds that We'll let you grow your own Cookie
- 57:39Tree, okay? Or this very weird magnet.
- 57:43I made of the mirror reflection of Grover from monster in the
- 57:48mirror because I wanted to draw a monster.
- 57:52No one ever had. I don't know how you could
- 57:55choose in this case, let me tell you I've given you Sophie's
- 57:58Choice, here's what I'll say when you said the seeds that
- 58:01grew the Cookie Tree, I was so excited but then you held up
- 58:05that picture and I was like never mind, I want that picture.
- 58:08Well, congratulations, you have. The horrible nightmare Grover
- 58:12that appears in that one scene of monster in the mirror while
- 58:16the LOL. Yeah, I was upset that I
- 58:19couldn't write a question with Wubba Wubba, is the answer here.
- 58:22So I had to do that. And anyway, that brings us to
- 58:25the end of another one so guests.
- 58:27Where can people find you? If you wish to be found?
- 58:31Let's start with Anthony well, I'm on two pigs.com where I
- 58:35write occasionally but much More often I host moving right along
- 58:40a Muppet movie podcast that is not on the same feet as this
- 58:44one. But is another is we like to
- 58:47think of ourselves as the flagship podcast of tough
- 58:49pigs.com. I don't know if that's accurate
- 58:51but we have the most episodes. I'm kind of like the offshore
- 58:55Casino shit to fix this. The show's international waters.
- 59:02Yes. Actually my esteemed opponent
- 59:07Pat. Rick will be on moving right
- 59:11along. Right around the time this comes
- 59:12out. I think that was one of our
- 59:14earlier guests. Probably.
- 59:15Yeah, it depends. You know, I have to talk to Joe
- 59:18about scheduling, but we'll work it out and Becca's going to come
- 59:21on and talk about Michael. Kay, Fritz, designing Muppet
- 59:25Monsters on our show. I'm sure am.
- 59:27That's what I requested to be on, but other than that, I am
- 59:32not on much public. Social media these days.
- 59:35You can follow me on letterboxed at zip.
- 59:37Oh, my This, if you want to read my thoughts on mostly old
- 59:41movies, gee, I can't imagine why you wouldn't be on most public
- 59:45social media these days. I don't know why you would
- 59:49choose that. And Patrick, where can people
- 59:52find you? Yeah, they can find me on
- 59:54Instagram at Cotner c0t and oir, or on Twitter at Patrick Cotner

- 1:00:13Lucas talk show, which is a talk show that I produce in sort of

- 1:00:20George Lucas Griffin, plays the character watto from the Star
- 1:00:23Wars prequels and they interview real guests as themselves.
- 1:00:27You don't have to be a Star Wars fan to watch.
- 1:00:29In fact, most people who watch have never seen a Star Wars
- 1:00:31movie weirdly. But Steve Whitmire zon an up
- 1:00:35either a recent one or an upcoming.
- 1:00:39You know, we had a very long Muppets tonight, Marathon.
- 1:00:42We watched every episode in like Brian was on and Bill Beretta
- 1:00:46was on and Leslie was on and get a ton of people were on.
- 1:00:49It's crazy. But you know Weird Al's been on
- 1:00:51and Seth Meyers has been on Darcy carded.
- 1:00:54Crazy fun people. Go check that out.
- 1:00:57Also, if you're in New York or you like improv, I produced a
- 1:01:00show called rat scraps, which is an improv show where famous
- 1:01:04people come in and tell stories from their life and then
- 1:01:06improvisers do scenes. Based off that story and you can
- 1:01:09every Sunday, you can come watch it in the city, or you can
- 1:01:12literally stream it from anywhere in the world.
- 1:01:15It's very fun and I recommend people check it out.

- 1:02:37plate. Good night, everyone.
- 1:02:43You're listening to the final episode.
- 1:02:44This is going to be edited out and replaced seamlessly with
- 1:02:48this. There's going to be the noise of
- 1:02:50frazzle right here, okay? And I'm going to say, wait,
- 1:02:56what's that noise? And then there is going to be
- 1:02:59the noise of frazzle. Again, I'm going to seamlessly
- 1:03:01at at that end and then I'm going to say oh, it's frazzle
