The 16th Street Bridge in Milwaukee is back open in part after a major structural fix — a critical floor beam was replaced following accelerated wear, shutting down the southern section last December. Crews designed, built, and installed a new steel beam, restoring traffic flow between West Pierce and West Canal streets, now striped to one lane each way for smoother traffic.
