- 0:30Speaker 2: Here's your host, Alex Garrett. All right, well, how we
- 0:37Speaker 2: feel in America? It's officially complete. President Trump has won
- 0:45Speaker 2: the election. I'd say reelection, but that's separated by President Biden.
- 0:50Speaker 2: As you know, one term from sixteen to twenty. Now
- 0:57Speaker 2: we have twenty four or twenty till twenty nine. Either way, slice,
- 1:03Speaker 2: it is sort of a re election for President Trump,
- 1:06Speaker 2: and he was declared the winner overnight, probably just as
- 1:08Speaker 2: I was filing my last report. But here's the fascinating thing.
- 1:13Speaker 2: He not only won the electoral vote, he won the
- 1:16Speaker 2: popular vote as well. I mean to sweep out all
- 1:21Speaker 2: the Middle America states, as I was saying, and he
- 1:24Speaker 2: still has Michigan, Nevada, Arizona, ought still to be called,
- 1:31Speaker 2: so it could be way more than two seventy seven
- 1:34Speaker 2: by the end of all the counting. But he did it.
- 1:38Speaker 1: He won the swing states he had to.
- 1:41Speaker 2: And I wanted to just do a PostScript on this
- 1:44Speaker 2: because I left you guys about three seventeen in the
- 1:47Speaker 2: morning and there was still no declared winner, even though
- 1:51Speaker 2: Trump was getting all the states he needed. Well, here
- 1:54Speaker 2: you go. He's the declared president elect and JD. Bens
- 1:59Speaker 2: the vice president elect, and so we will have to
- 2:03Speaker 2: see what shapes up over the next few weeks, a
- 2:07Speaker 2: few months. As I mentioned, he's still got to deal
- 2:10Speaker 2: with all these trials. But but we did not have
- 2:16Speaker 2: to wait till Saturday or earlier. We did not have
- 2:20Speaker 2: to wait, and that means President Trump did the job
- 2:25Speaker 2: he had to. Now one last thing. People are wondering
- 2:29Speaker 2: how they could vote for him, But I'm wondering how
- 2:32Speaker 2: the Democrats. This is all because Biden picked Harris to
- 2:39Speaker 2: be VP, and when that happened, you pretty much solidified
- 2:46Speaker 2: an unelectable candidate. I mean, she wasn't even holding in Iowa,
- 2:51Speaker 2: yet he was picking her as the nominee for vice president,
- 2:57Speaker 2: and that was the first place they dug the hole in.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Where else did they dig the whole? Well, after they realized,
- 3:04Speaker 2: well we don't want Biden and the presidential election anymore,
- 3:08Speaker 2: they couldn't go elsewhere or the money would be gone.
- 3:12Speaker 2: So in a lot of ways, President Biden did this
- 3:14Speaker 2: to the party by selecting Harris as his VP, or
- 3:19Speaker 2: ever told him to do so. So it really backfired
- 3:23Speaker 2: because she's just not You can't go a whole interview
- 3:27Speaker 2: then say oh, you could do with my policies at
- 3:29Speaker 2: my website. You got to say the policies through the
- 3:32Speaker 2: interview and not bash your opponent the whole time of
- 3:35Speaker 2: Brett Baer. You can't just go and say, oh, by
- 3:38Speaker 2: the way, my policies are on my website. Well they
- 3:42Speaker 2: want to hear your policies now. They probably couldn't hear
- 3:44Speaker 2: your policies now, And they didn't hear it on any
- 3:47Speaker 2: of the networks. And when they did, it was all
- 3:49Speaker 2: word salary. CBS had to edit her, whether you like
- 3:54Speaker 2: the journalistic category of that or not. They had to
- 3:56Speaker 2: edit her because she was so winded. So they put
- 3:59Speaker 2: a really unrelatable and I don't think electable candidate up
- 4:07Speaker 2: So it's not so much that Trump won, although he
- 4:11Speaker 2: did show that people you know, had his support, But
- 4:16Speaker 2: it was also the fact that she was just unelectable.
- 4:18Speaker 2: And that's the reality the Democrats will have to face
- 4:22Speaker 2: and live with because they did to themselves with all
- 4:30Speaker 2: the indictments, with all the convicted fella. And you'd think
- 4:32Speaker 2: that would knock someone off, but it didn't because she
- 4:35Speaker 2: was just relatable and unelectable. And I personally am am
- 4:43Speaker 2: kind of happy to see where President Trump goes with
- 4:46Speaker 2: this next term, his final term, but next term, because
- 4:52Speaker 2: I think he's got to pick up where he left
- 4:53Speaker 2: off in twenty nineteen pre pandemic and go from there.
- 5:00Speaker 2: So I think it was a mix. I think it
- 5:01Speaker 2: was the fact that people truly do support Trump and
- 5:06Speaker 2: his main baseline of how are you doing compared to
- 5:11Speaker 2: four years ago? Are you better off than you were
- 5:13Speaker 2: four years ago? And from there on he just was
- 5:16Speaker 2: running with it and the indictments gave him fuel along
- 5:22Speaker 2: the way. So candidate judicial system, the DOJ trying to
- 5:28Speaker 2: pin him down and get him convicted. It didn't work.
- 5:32Speaker 2: The American people saw right through that. And so this
- 5:37Speaker 2: was a as much of a success for Trump as
- 5:42Speaker 2: it was a failure for the Democratic Party, and they
- 5:45Speaker 2: will have to live with that now for a long time.
- 5:50Speaker 2: That's my last little PostScript here. But President Trump, as
- 5:53Speaker 2: of eight forty in the morning, with three states still
- 5:56Speaker 2: unaccounted for, has two hundred and seventy seven electrovo to
- 6:00Speaker 2: Kamala Harris's to twenty four, and he is the declared
- 6:05Speaker 2: winner in the twenty twenty four presidential election. We'll lot
- 6:10Speaker 2: more in the coming days on the Home Like a Network.
- 6:13Speaker 2: I'm Alex Garrett.
