- 0:11To get ahead, I'm. Trying to sound like I don't
- 0:12smoke 3 packs a day, you know I'm trying.
- 0:15You know what? And I'm trying to take up
- 0:16smoking 3 packs a day. Oh.
- 0:21Together we have the voice of 1 Smoker.
- 0:24Don't you dare, I will. Beat your ass.
- 0:27Oh my God. Oh, man.
- 0:29OK. All right.
- 0:31Let's this is get started. What's this?
- 0:33Well, I was going to ask you that because you said, yeah, I
- 0:36have a beef. And I said OK, and I didn't
- 0:37write anything down. So I sure hope that you weren't
- 0:39fibbing. I'm not fibbing.
- 0:41I'm not fibbing at all. What's this?
- 0:44That's a temporary. Tattoo.
- 0:45I was like, my gosh, you don't got a new tattoo?
- 0:48No, it's a temporary tattoo. It's a cute little fun one.
- 0:50You can see it. Oh, I see it on there.
- 0:52I do. I can see that now.
- 0:53But I'll take a picture. I'll take, I'll take a picture.
- 0:55Take a picture. Go ahead.
- 0:56That's my that's my cute little bakari.
- 0:58It's a Skizzoo, which is cute little animal characters for my
- 1:02boys from the straight kids and my Felix, you know, you know my
- 1:06boy Felix. I do.
- 1:07You know, I love him. He's a little chicky.
- 1:10Oh yeah, I see. And so that's what you have on
- 1:13your. Yes, and it's a little cute.
- 1:14Little Oh well, you never know. I was like, my God, maybe the
- 1:16the tattoo bug is bitter and and now she's she's got another one.
- 1:20Well, here's what's. What was fun?
- 1:22Oh. We went to what they call a cup
- 1:24sleeve event. Yep, for the Stray Kids
- 1:26yesterday. It was at a booty place up in
- 1:30Edwardsville. OK.
- 1:31And. I guess I'm glad I didn't text
- 1:33you to see if you want to get. Together.
- 1:34It's true because I was all over the place yesterday.
- 1:37Sam and lived kidnapped me and I was just along for the ride.
- 1:39Well. Apparently, usually that's what
- 1:42happens when you get kidnapped. You really get.
- 1:44You don't get to say. I did not get to say you.
- 1:47Know what I'm saying? All right, so you guys want to
- 1:48go to like rally. What are you thinking?
- 1:50What's your day look like? They're not usually too
- 1:54concerned when they pick you up. Your day looks like whatever the
- 1:57fuck they wanted to look like. Kidnapping legit.
- 2:01And so I was informed after I was in the car that we were
- 2:03going way the fuck out to West County mall.
- 2:05Oh shit, I know. And then we're meeting up with
- 2:09our friend Kelly. And then we were going back to
- 2:10Edwardsville for the cup sleeve event and then Kelly was coming
- 2:15up for sleepovers. So.
- 2:16Oh, OK, I said. OK, well.
- 2:18Where she has remained to this. Day, she's never leaving because
- 2:21she's not been kidnapped. So yeah, to see it, yeah, to see
- 2:26it. My beef is OK.
- 2:29Assholes in general. OK, let's just put it out there.
- 2:33How could it be with assholes? Don't be that I stink.
- 2:36Oh. I was not prepared for that and
- 2:46I should have been. Shame on me for not being
- 2:49prepared for anything that my children just pull out of their
- 2:52ass. Oh man, OK, but if you're.
- 2:57Sitting Where's the drums? Where's the drums you're sitting
- 2:59at home with on this podcast while you're working on your on
- 3:02your drum kick? Go ahead and give us a little
- 3:04bit. Of legit, legit thanks.
- 3:06OK, that was hilarious. No, don't be an asshole, please.
- 3:11But encountered an almost asshole yesterday.
- 3:15I think he would have been an asshole if I hadn't been there.
- 3:18Oh my. OK, so dude, we we're we're
- 3:22going to leave. OK, the mall.
- 3:25OK, we're in the parking garage. OK, We hear the most horrific
- 3:29crunching, scraping sounds echoing through the parking lot.
- 3:33Somebody hit. Somebody Valley granola bar.
- 3:41Damn it, 2 for two days dude got me twice.
- 3:45I I wish, I wish that's what was happening.
- 3:48It was horrible crunching. I was just eating one.
- 4:01OK anyway I truly wish that was what was happening but no didn't
- 4:06my car was trying to back out and he's scraping the shit out
- 4:08of the black car next to me and he pulled were like oh that guy
- 4:13is hitting another car. Like I wasn't sure if he had
- 4:15backed out into a car, if he was back hitting the car next and
- 4:18what was happening because we were the aisle over.
- 4:22I turn around, he's behind us and I see this and he pulls back
- 4:24into the spot and he's just sitting there and I'm like, he's
- 4:29going to leave. I'll feel this on a spiritual
- 4:32level because I've also been in an accident and gotten and now
- 4:36I'm this sounds like this is this guy's fault, but I get
- 4:39fucked over by somebody parked illegally behind me.
- 4:40You've been here too. Oh, me too.
- 4:42And we've all been we all of us in our family anyway, have
- 4:45absolutely been screwed by the asshole who has hit us and left.
- 4:49Well, his or or been parked illegally.
- 4:52And I and I, it's always still your fault, right?
- 4:54I bump into them and it's like it's it's this moment of Yep,
- 4:58they're not out here, right? Do I just leave?
- 5:01I could go, but no, don't. No, I didn't do that, listener.
- 5:06I didn't do that. I can see this guy and I know, I
- 5:09know he's thinking about it. So she laid on the ground behind
- 5:12the tires. No, I didn't.
- 5:13I walked over there. He got out of his car and he
- 5:15kind of went and looked around and I could see the way he was
- 5:17parked, that he had fucked up and he was way too tight next to
- 5:20this guy. Yeah, and he had scraped the
- 5:22crap out of his car. I took a picture of his license
- 5:24plate and he saw me and I was a little bit nervous because I
- 5:27didn't want him to come over and beat my ass.
- 5:29But you know. I was like, it happens.
- 5:31The best of us wasn't even that good.
- 5:37I was. Like it doesn't happen to me.
- 5:41I don't want it. To I said it happens to the best
- 5:43of us. I don't think that includes
- 5:44either of us and. Apparently I'm not one of the
- 5:47best of us, but OK. So I was a little bit nervous,
- 5:50but I thought, no, I'm going over to take a picture of your
- 5:53license plate and then go for it.
- 5:55Like leave because I'm calling all security right now.
- 5:59Right now you call them all security.
- 6:01Yes, I did. I Googled the number.
- 6:04I called them and I said just let you know there's an accident
- 6:07in the parking lot. And I just wanted to let you
- 6:11know, have someone come down here and check it out.
- 6:13Yeah. And they're like, and the girl
- 6:14was stupid nice and said, yeah, we'll send somebody down there.
- 6:16Do you have the license plate of the person?
- 6:18Because I said because the the person in the car that was hit
- 6:20is not here. They're parked in the parking
- 6:22spot and they don't know that their car has been hit.
- 6:25And so she says, do you have license as the person who is
- 6:30responsible? I said yeah, yes, I did.
- 6:32And I gave her the number. And this guy stayed the whole
- 6:35time while you're calling. No.
- 6:36I walked away. I had walked away and walked
- 6:37back over by my car and I was like, can we go?
- 6:40And I'm like no. I've got to do my civic.
- 6:43Duty exactly. Would you want somebody to
- 6:45leave? It's true.
- 6:46And leave your car all fucked up.
- 6:47It's true. So I get realized plate number
- 6:51and I said he's I don't want I just don't want him to leave and
- 6:55leave this guy high and dry. So I'm just giving you this
- 6:57information and she's like, is this a good number if we need to
- 7:00call you back? And she's like, did you take a
- 7:02picture? And I said, yeah, yes, I did, in
- 7:04case they need me to send yeah them the picture.
- 7:07And I said, yeah, yeah, you can call me if you need me to.
- 7:09And so then then we left. Yeah, I did my job.
- 7:12Sorry, go ahead. I'm having a deja vu moment but
- 7:14go ahead. So, so, yeah, I hate, you know,
- 7:17he didn't leave because I think he saw me walk over there.
- 7:20Yeah. And he didn't say anything to me
- 7:22and I didn't say anything to him.
- 7:23That's. And yeah, absolutely.
- 7:25For the best. I was there.
- 7:26I'm not getting the middle of it.
- 7:27But I'm also not going to let you leave this guy high and dry.
- 7:29Like, that's just like, you know what?
- 7:31That sucks for both of you. It sucks that you hit this car,
- 7:35but you hit the car and I don't want to be.
- 7:38I don't want to be an asshole, but but honestly, you're not
- 7:41going to leave this poor shopper here.
- 7:44This guy's in there just. Shopping, trying to have a good
- 7:46day and and at the same time, I'm also not going to like
- 7:48berate you for this guy. I'm a just, I'm just, you know,
- 7:51my way. Accidents happen.
- 7:53I'm not going to. I wasn't going to go over there
- 7:55and just jump. The ship or anything, but I
- 7:56thought if he decides to leave, I will try to help this person
- 8:01who is innocent of all things and you know, got their car
- 8:04fucked up while they were trying to shop.
- 8:05So Yep. Anyway, I really hate people who
- 8:09hit someone and then leave. Yeah, I'm sorry, but that's such
- 8:12an and I said to you earlier, so it's a big Dick move.
- 8:15It's a no no. It's a tiny Dick.
- 8:17Tiny Dick move, tiny Dick move. That's what it is.
- 8:19Now I got to think, here's the thing real quick.
- 8:21I was having a Deja vu moment. Did you tell me once about you
- 8:24had a dream that you were at the mall or something like that and
- 8:26somebody had a hit and run or whatever.
- 8:28I'm having this Deja vu moment that you you were like, it was
- 8:31like there for a second, then gone that it was like you.
- 8:34I swear to God, I was maybe it wasn't on the podcast listener
- 8:38back me up if this was on the podcast and you remember this
- 8:40and I just don't. But I thought that you told me
- 8:42once that you had this dream about you in a parking lot with
- 8:47somebody like at a mall or whatever and same kind of thing,
- 8:49like a hit and run situation, but it was more.
- 8:52Similar to the Lone Star incident, the Lone Star
- 8:55incident, listeners, we told the story.
- 8:57Story. Sorry, we're going to tell it
- 8:58again. Yes, one time we walked out of a
- 9:01Lone Star, Abby's favorite restaurant that is no longer
- 9:04standing. And I'll tell you what, it's not
- 9:06even my favorite restaurant no more because it went downhill
- 9:09before they closed and unfortunately.
- 9:11That was that was a sad. That was that, that was a sad.
- 9:13That was a sad. That's the sad thing about
- 9:16restaurants when you when you really, really like them and
- 9:18then they, you could tell they're the end is coming and it
- 9:21could things start getting worse.
- 9:22And yeah. But anyway, we leave the Lone
- 9:24Star, we see a guy back out and hit a car.
- 9:28Yep. And this guy leaves.
- 9:31Yeah, he's like Deuces, I said. Everybody get in the car.
- 9:35I. Literally said that we get in
- 9:37the car. Now, from a nice family of five
- 9:39to a family of vigilantes. Vigilantes.
- 9:43I said this. The switch was immediate and
- 9:46everyone knew their job. We all got the car.
- 9:48Locked those seatbelts. I said Wayne, follow that car,
- 9:51white SUV and Wayne goes what the fuck are we going to do?
- 9:54We got you. He didn't say that word because
- 9:56the kids were in the car, but he said what are we going to do
- 9:58when we catch him? I said we're not going to do
- 9:59anything. Anything.
- 10:00We're going to write down his license plate number and let him
- 10:02go on his way. We're not going to confront him
- 10:04with the children in the car like what you're talking.
- 10:06About in the back get. Any Adam get him, he's got a
- 10:09knife. Jesus, he's got a little
- 10:12switchblades, but I. Was like I only would have had a
- 10:15pocket knife at that time. Legit, this was this was prior
- 10:18to phones, you know, cell phones.
- 10:20I was. Yeah, I mean, how old do you
- 10:21think I. Was like maybe 10.
- 10:23Yeah, tops. You were guys.
- 10:25I thought you guys were younger, but anyway.
- 10:26Yeah, no, yeah, 100. Percent.
- 10:27I don't think tops. Did we have Liv at the time?
- 10:30OK. She would have been Pretty
- 10:31Little. Yeah.
- 10:32You were like, happy. Strap her in.
- 10:34Let's go. You know, off we go.
- 10:36And we did. We wrote down his his license
- 10:39plate numbers from Alaska. I don't know why I remember
- 10:41that. And Todd, that's true.
- 10:44Being Alaska. And then we turned around and
- 10:46went back. And by then the police were
- 10:49there. And your dad, we stayed in the
- 10:50car. Dad went over there and he's
- 10:52like, hey, we saw this. And as he starts approaching, he
- 10:54goes, did you hit this car? He's like, no, no, but we saw
- 10:58who did. Yeah.
- 11:00And here's the license plate, License plate number.
- 11:02We just went to get the number. And then we came back because
- 11:05they were like, oh, we saw you guys like tear out of here.
- 11:07We didn't tear out of there. There was no tire squealing.
- 11:09We just followed those guys like we saw you guys leave in a
- 11:12hurry. The other guy thought maybe we
- 11:14had done it. We're like, we were parked way
- 11:15the hell over there. How do you think we did it?
- 11:18So that was kind of weird there. But boy, we're trying to do a
- 11:20nice thing for you, asshole. But anyway, he tells them lies,
- 11:24place number, they catch the guy.
- 11:25Yeah, they catch the guy. And then your dad is gets like
- 11:30the summons or whatever to come to court to testify, gets this
- 11:34guy because he's like, I didn't do it.
- 11:37He's insisting, insisting he didn't do it.
- 11:39We got security cameras. We got, we got two year.
- 11:43Old out here at this vigilante family you don't even know.
- 11:47We're all sitting there with pipes slamming against our
- 11:49palms. I'm fucking pulling on my ski
- 11:51mask. I'm like, I'm ready for a little
- 11:53vigilant to justice if this guy walks.
- 11:56Legit. Well, there was another
- 11:58gentleman who had also witnessed it.
- 12:00Yeah. And he was there so that your
- 12:02dad and this other guy are sitting outside the courtroom.
- 12:06And this guy, I don't know if it's a lawyer who was telling
- 12:09them like, yeah, this guy is claiming he didn't do it.
- 12:11So, you know, we're if we need be, we're going to go in there.
- 12:14You're going to have to go in there and say, just say what you
- 12:17saw and. Then we follow them.
- 12:19And say, yeah, say what happened and your dad's like, shit, I
- 12:22really don't want to testify against this guy.
- 12:24Like, this is making me nervous. And that guy's like, I don't
- 12:27think I will do this either. Like I thought I was just doing
- 12:30a nice. Thing just trying to help this
- 12:32other guy out, you know. So anyway, so they go in there
- 12:35and then everything starts and they tell the dude who hit the
- 12:38car, we have two people outside who saw you do this.
- 12:42They will be coming in here. They will be testifying against
- 12:45you. They will tell the court what
- 12:47they saw. So do you want to change your
- 12:48plea? Yeah.
- 12:49And he did. Yeah.
- 12:50And so your dad did not have to go in there.
- 12:52I tell. You got 2 witnesses that say
- 12:54like, we'll tell you what we saw.
- 12:56What did you see? Honestly, I don't know.
- 12:57I was in the car. I had to fuck with this shit.
- 13:00I'm the one, but they're going to tell you what they saw.
- 13:02The thing is, I was the one that saw.
- 13:04It I know. Your dad just happened to walk
- 13:06over there to tell him the lies. Might never he gets roamed in.
- 13:10I was the one that saw the accent.
- 13:12But anyway, it all worked out because he's like, I really
- 13:15don't want to sit face to face and have to look this this guy's
- 13:19going to see me. He's going to see my face.
- 13:20He's going to hear my name. They can't do that.
- 13:23Blur the voice changer. Live in person.
- 13:25Legit, he's like, I don't think I want to do this.
- 13:28So I could get that's a little bit scary.
- 13:29And he was the military person in the military.
- 13:32And that's tough. Yeah.
- 13:34And so we had. We had a lot of those night this
- 13:36area because of the base. We had.
- 13:37We live near a base. Yeah.
- 13:38So it all worked out in the end. He didn't have to testify.
- 13:40It was all great. And that was our vigilante
- 13:42moment. And we did our good deed for the
- 13:44day. But.
- 13:46Yeah, no, so I I had AI just had this Deja vu moment as you were
- 13:49telling me about you guys with this guy in the in the mall that
- 13:53you had told me, like I said, something like a similar story
- 13:57about you having a dream about something could have happening
- 13:59could have been. And so I'm just like, look at
- 14:01you a little premonition. Let me tell you something.
- 14:02If you ever have a dream about any specific like numbers.
- 14:05Like a lottery kind of situation.
- 14:06You let me. Grow up.
- 14:07You're right. I need to.
- 14:08I actually need to keep a little book by my bedside.
- 14:12Yeah. To write my dreams down.
- 14:13Because later that's it. I don't remember.
- 14:15Oh no, I don't remember. I really don't remember them.
- 14:17Yeah. So except for, like, I have two
- 14:20recurring dreams that I remember that I'll tell you about
- 14:22sometime, but otherwise, I don't remember.
- 14:26I'm there. I might tell you.
- 14:27I do remember the one about the cats living in my closet,
- 14:29though. That one I do remember.
- 14:31Do you remember the one you told me about us living in the?
- 14:34Basement of the target in the not the basement.
- 14:36We just lived in the Target. Oh, I see.
- 14:37I'm sure. I, I thought that.
- 14:39I always imagined that there was a little hatch on the floor that
- 14:41we were living in. We just lived in the Target, and
- 14:43that Momo and Popo were coming by and bringing a spoon.
- 14:45Do you remember these? Food at the target.
- 14:47Why would they need to break his?
- 14:48Food, I'm telling you, you told me that Mama Papa came by and
- 14:50brought us things. I don't remember that, but
- 14:53everything he needs in the target, well, I'm sure a bit.
- 14:57You know, it's not like AJC Penney where they got those fake
- 15:00beds there. Do you know, there were people
- 15:01who were like living in like a Kmart.
- 15:03What was that? Yeah, This was like a big thing
- 15:05back in the day because you could, could buy like a mattress
- 15:07at Kmart and such like that for a little bit.
- 15:09You could. And I just shipped my drawers.
- 15:11I just shipped my bed. That's that's commercial of all
- 15:15time, Not that's a pretty good commercial.
- 15:18It made you laugh. When we remembered it.
- 15:21But we never got it. But anyway, so I had to, I had
- 15:24to revisit my vigilante days yesterday and I did not get a
- 15:27call from the mall security. The guy did stay and took
- 15:31responsibility. And I feel bad for the dude that
- 15:33the car got hit, but you know, at least he wasn't going to get
- 15:37left high and dry. Hopefully that guy had
- 15:39insurance. I don't know.
- 15:40I agree, I'm out of it. I've done my part.
- 15:42OK, so yeah, my beef long. That was a long, convoluted
- 15:45beef, but. Are are we the people who do hit
- 15:48and runs? Don't.
- 15:48Don't do it. Don't do that.
- 15:49Yeah. Don't do that, OK, man, I was
- 15:51telling you about, I was drawn. I'd take 64 to 70 most days
- 15:56going to work and whatnot. And I had heard on Thursday
- 15:58there is like a road rage incident that somebody, I don't
- 16:02know, it was road rage incident. Somebody got pissed off and they
- 16:04pulled a gun. They just fucking shot somebody
- 16:06with. Texas license plates?
- 16:08Yeah. Pulls his gun out and shoots a
- 16:11guy he didn't kill. Him.
- 16:12But I didn't think you had died. But but holy crap, can you even
- 16:16imagine? Fuck.
- 16:17No, that's why I don't fucking honk my horn.
- 16:19And nobody was about to be hit. I heard that story and I'm
- 16:22giving the girls lecture yesterday and I literally
- 16:24sitting there, there was like, how many were there was 4.
- 16:26There were six of us. We're sitting around this table
- 16:28having some Sabaros at the West County Mall.
- 16:31A damn Asarcu too. I'll just let you know.
- 16:33I know they do. I know they do.
- 16:35That's a great mall. That place is hopping.
- 16:36I'll tell you what it's, but it's like 45 minute drive out
- 16:39there for us. Anyway, I'm sitting there and
- 16:42I'm like you guys, dude from Texas, at least he had Texas
- 16:45plates. Don't know.
- 16:46Pulled his gun out, shot somebody on 70.
- 16:48Nobody honk their horn. Don't flip off somebody.
- 16:51Don't cut anybody. Off Honk your horn if you're
- 16:53about to be hit. I'm over your asshole.
- 16:57If you need to let someone know that you're there, whether you
- 17:00someone's backing out and it's going to hit you or could change
- 17:02lanes, absolutely alert them. Alert them with your horn.
- 17:05That's what it's for. Do not blare your horn at
- 17:07someone who cut you off because you know you're mad.
- 17:11I will kill you, yeah. Apparently they're gonna pull
- 17:13their gun out and kill you so. And and as we.
- 17:16Let it go. As we looked up previously,
- 17:19yeah, most of the crimes committed in this area are by
- 17:22out of state people. Legit.
- 17:24That's because we were looking that up.
- 17:25But the murder rate in the crime round and stuff, and because
- 17:27it's tough because it's like, Oh, well, yeah, there's a lot of
- 17:29these things reported, but a lot of them are also out of state
- 17:32because of course in this area you can order Illinois, but then
- 17:35also people, people cross the across the state.
- 17:41Borders just to do stupid shit. Do stupid shit, Yeah, and also.
- 17:45I'm sure there's a lot of. Military but then gets the bad
- 17:47rap. But yeah, that's exactly right.
- 17:49But anyway, yeah, don't just let that shit go.
- 17:53It is not. It's sad, but don't.
- 17:56Well, we said this, we said this.
- 17:58Can you imagine being like, I'm going to ruin my whole life
- 18:02because somebody cut me off in traffic?
- 18:03For something so petty, you know?
- 18:04What I mean in? Traffic, you're going to kill a
- 18:07guy or shoot whatever. If you don't kill him, you're
- 18:09going to jail. You're going to ruin your whole
- 18:11life. You think you're going to have a
- 18:13job after that? Not unless you're self-employed.
- 18:16True. You know what I mean?
- 18:18You're going to, you're going to have.
- 18:19That's going to be on your record forever.
- 18:20You're going to. I wouldn't.
- 18:21Want anything to do with you because I'm like you got a bad
- 18:24temper. Well, and you're not going to be
- 18:26allowed to own a gun anymore. That's true.
- 18:28You know what I mean? Not legally, No, you're not
- 18:30going to be. I don't even know if you're not
- 18:32allowed to have a license anymore.
- 18:33I think personally you should have to take it away.
- 18:35If you fucking are involved in Rd.
- 18:37Rangers where you shoot someone, you should not be allowed to
- 18:39have a license. You should not.
- 18:41Be allowed to be behind the wheel of a car because obviously
- 18:44you can't handle. It and there goes your truck
- 18:46driving business. That's the biggest.
- 18:54Maybe in Texas that behavior is acceptable, but it is not
- 18:57accessible here. Come on, come on.
- 19:00It together, man, man. But so, yeah, no, I'm like, I'm
- 19:04like, I I just, I just don't understand that that whole idea
- 19:09of like I. Really.
- 19:09Don't I? Really.
- 19:10Don't you know like you know because.
- 19:11It's so petty, right? Well, yeah, I'm like, you know,
- 19:13I, I listen, I've been pissed off in traffic 100%.
- 19:16We all have been pissed. Everybody's been like, the
- 19:19moment that I escalate this and I hit this person with my car
- 19:22intentionally because I'm pissed off or I.
- 19:24Whip my gun. Whip my gun or I whip.
- 19:26This thing out. And please.
- 19:29Their children right or I get in my car and I like punch it
- 19:32through their window and that's true go to beat the shit out of
- 19:34them you've. Seen videos of crazy behavior?
- 19:36Right. The moment that I do something
- 19:38like that, I've ruined my life forever.
- 19:40I will never be able to get past this phone because that's on my
- 19:42record for the rest of my life. And guess what?
- 19:45You're not getting away. You're stuck in traffic.
- 19:47Well, that's. The thing maybe especially when
- 19:49you're in traffic, what are you? What is your exit strategy?
- 19:52Where do you think you're going to go?
- 19:53I'm all for crime, but like you have to have an exit.
- 19:57You're fucking rush hour traffic.
- 19:59Where are. You going?
- 20:01Where are you going? I thought that was.
- 20:02Hilarious too. I'm like, you're gonna get
- 20:04caught, dude. 100% yeah. What a dumb ass.
- 20:07Now I got, I got I'm gonna switch.
- 20:10Let's switch subjects on you. Sure, let's go.
- 20:12OK. What else you got I?
- 20:14Have something that's completely random but I saw in the car
- 20:17right over and it cracked me up too much to not tell you.
- 20:19I got some, I got some random shit too, so let's do.
- 20:21It all right, now here's the thing.
- 20:23I am in the car on the way over and I have Apple Music on and I
- 20:27just have the Abby Station, right?
- 20:29And it just kind of takes into account the things that I like.
- 20:31And it'll play some of the songs I've already heard.
- 20:34Sometimes they'll suggest new stuff, you know, stuff like
- 20:35that, right? And now it'll play songs that I
- 20:40already know. And sometimes the like the way
- 20:42that the algorithm works is that like we know that Abby likes
- 20:46Footloose by Kenny Loggins, but we've already played that OK
- 20:49before. So we're going to play the same
- 20:52song, but that it's on a different album.
- 20:54She's got a like this one. Right now.
- 20:58And that's fine. It wasn't like you're playing it
- 20:59back-to-back, OK, But nothing was going to prepare me for the
- 21:03album that Footloose by Kenny Loggins was playing on today.
- 21:07OK, I can see. I can see on my little car
- 21:12because it's old as shit. It just says like the album and
- 21:16it says best blank songs. OK.
- 21:19And then there's more and I don't know what the dot dot dot.
- 21:21It doesn't scroll. Yeah, it doesn't.
- 21:22Scroll so you can only see so much OK.
- 21:24So as I pull up to your house, I, I parked the car and I pull
- 21:29this up because I was like, what fucking album is this?
- 21:32I'm sorry. And it it's a compilation album.
- 21:36It's a compilation album. Sure, sure.
- 21:37Sure it was best rugby songs of 2023.
- 21:39The best? The rugby solid and it's got a.
- 21:43Little. There it is.
- 21:44The ball, What is a rugby ball? I don't know.
- 21:46You can't call it. Yeah, okay, I think.
- 21:48It's called the ball. I don't know, I guess.
- 21:51I nothing was going to prepare me for what else was on this
- 21:56album. That's hilarious.
- 21:58So it keeps. Playing.
- 21:59Footloose by Kenny Loggins, but it pulls it from different
- 22:02albums, so you don't suspect that they're playing the same
- 22:04song over and over. No.
- 22:05So it doesn't like, doesn't like play it over and over.
- 22:08It's just like, oh, OK. We're going to randomly throws
- 22:10it, right? Here's the band Camino.
- 22:11Here's the 1975, here's Stupid Love by Dan and Shay.
- 22:15Whatever. And then it's like, oh, we know
- 22:17that she likes Footloose. Here's Footloose.
- 22:19OK. But and then they'll just pull
- 22:21it from a different album, so it's it doesn't feel like
- 22:23they're playing. The algorithm thinks it's not
- 22:25playing the exact same song over and over, even though it
- 22:27definitely is. And that's what.
- 22:28It is. I love Footloose, right?
- 22:29Who? What am I got?
- 22:31Abby is not going to argue every now and then, yeah.
- 22:35But listen on Apple Music, there's 39 songs OK on here.
- 22:39Just a quick sampling. So obviously Footloose is on
- 22:42here. Shut up and Dance by Walk The
- 22:44Moon. Excellent song.
- 22:45Africa by Toto. OK.
- 22:47Dancing in the Dark by Bruce Springsteen's September by
- 22:50Earth, Wind and Fire. This is a banger.
- 22:51Let's not believe in my journey. What?
- 22:54Is this album? It's.
- 22:56Best broken songs in 2020. Three, that's your ass.
- 22:59I'm going to go find him, but I'll like make.
- 23:00A you know, teenage dirtbag by Weedus.
- 23:03I don't know that one. Oh, you.
- 23:04Oh, I do recognize you. You would know.
- 23:06You would know that if. I heard it OK.
- 23:08Rasputin, I don't know if you know, it's like that one that's
- 23:11on here. Hey Y'all by Outkast.
- 23:14Jolene by Dolly Parton the best. Songs Jolene by Dolly Parton.
- 23:22Fantastic. Be My Baby by The Ronettes.
- 23:25Oh, by the We're going back now. Beautiful girls by Sean Kingston
- 23:32I left my pink Ring of Fire Johnny Cash This is the I
- 23:37nothing nothing is going to prepare me nothing for the best
- 23:41rugby songs. That's fantastic.
- 23:45I'm going to tell you that I googled what is a rugby ball
- 23:48called and the the AI over overview is being a little
- 23:53sarcastic bitch right now because it says a rugby ball is
- 23:56simply called a rugby ball. OK, FUAI overview.
- 24:01Just rub that in my face. Holy fucking shit that's
- 24:04hilarious. No, that's a banger of an album
- 24:06right there. And I'm.
- 24:07Gonna hear you. Hang on.
- 24:08I'm gonna share this if I can. There you go.
- 24:12Absolutely. So I I had to tell you about the
- 24:14the, The Best Rugby Songs 2023. OK, Fantastic.
- 24:19Oh my God. So that's hilarious.
- 24:22But yeah. And then I was like, I was like,
- 24:23OK, so first of all, that's fucking hilarious that it's the
- 24:26best Rugby songs 2023 And then and then I was like, you know,
- 24:31Footloose apparently is on here. But then, yeah, Burning Love by
- 24:34Elvis Presley. It just gets better.
- 24:36Oh, that's a great song. I know I'm like, so I but so
- 24:40first of all, I was cracking up that Footloose is on here and I
- 24:42was like, Footloose. OK, well, feet rugby maybe.
- 24:46I see what you're going for here.
- 24:47Yeah. No.
- 24:48One Kiss by Calvin Harrison, Dua Lipa.
- 24:50Oh, that's. A great song, but.
- 24:51What do you think of the moonlight by toddler?
- 24:53I would think I was like, Oh well, hold It Out for a Hero by
- 24:56Bonnie Tyler. That yeah, legit.
- 25:00I'm like, I, I was like, now I don't know what you're going
- 25:04for, but you know what? Whoever you are who put this
- 25:07album together, thank you. Good on ya man that's it that's
- 25:10a great that's a great list OK, we love it.
- 25:13I was back it up OK, I love it that's awesome, but I have a so
- 25:17then I have a sports thing. So this is I'm sort of we're
- 25:20trying to sweat we're trying to segue I'm trying to not be safe
- 25:23too completely random today, but you know even if we.
- 25:25I don't care. Did you hear about the Cardinals
- 25:27ticket deal? Yeah, apparently they're doing
- 25:30this as multiple stadiums. Oh, OK.
- 25:32And I don't know if this is for sure or not.
- 25:35I didn't verify this, sorry listener, but I think it's maybe
- 25:39a deal that Coca-Cola has with some.
- 25:41Stadiums and they're. It's got to be the ones that are
- 25:43they're doing. It they're also trying to get
- 25:44butts in seats. Let's be honest, the MLB is is
- 25:48some of the stadiums are a bit empty.
- 25:50Yep, this. Especially last year.
- 25:53So they play a ton of games and it's not as engaging as like at
- 25:56a basketball game. I feel like it's kind of like an
- 25:59event. Well, even hockey and there's
- 26:01always some action, there's always something going on.
- 26:03It's a little more fast-paced, people like that.
- 26:05Our attention spans are in the toilet these days, but it's also
- 26:10expensive. Yeah.
- 26:11And your concessions are marked up 300%, if not more outrageous.
- 26:16And. Yeah, it's outrageous outrage
- 26:18because you're sitting there. The game, it's a little slower
- 26:20pace. What are you gonna do?
- 26:21You want a snack? You want a drink?
- 26:23Also, it's hot. You're an outdoor venue.
- 26:26Yeah. It's not like a hockey game.
- 26:28And. The Cardinals have not been good
- 26:30the last couple of seasons. Many seasons it's been, it's
- 26:32been a while. I know, right?
- 26:34I'm being I'm. Trying to be fair.
- 26:35We've lost Nolan Ryan. Sad, sad, sad, sad.
- 26:38I know that couldn't get him a World Series, but what are you
- 26:40going to do? Lost Yachty and not not lost,
- 26:42but, you know, but I heard he's going to come back to the
- 26:44coaching staff. Hurray.
- 26:45Yeah. Which is awesome.
- 26:47But anyway, the what's the deal? Tell us about the deal.
- 26:50So the deal is $29.00 ticket and you get you're sitting in Big
- 26:54Mac land. And you get, like, unlimited
- 26:56concessions up to the 8th inning.
- 26:59Yeah. And it's like, it's like drinks,
- 27:01nachos, Broads, hot dogs, a whole bunch of shit, right?
- 27:05Hell, that's worth it just for the drinks.
- 27:06Ice cream. Which is sad because to get one
- 27:10drink. One to get a drink, Coke and no
- 27:12refills, just to get one drink to get a ticket, a drink and
- 27:15maybe a Nacho. It's already gonna be more than
- 27:18I already know. It's more than $29.00.
- 27:19And so even without offering me the unlimited, I would have
- 27:22bought it for that. No, don't take it away.
- 27:25I'm going up there and getting my nachos.
- 27:27Don't I sort of got legit. We're at least we're out to get
- 27:29in because you're gonna sell out.
- 27:30When it's 90° outside, I can at least get a refill on my drinks,
- 27:33which is awesome, without having to pay another 20 bucks or
- 27:36something, you know? Yeah, I saw a thing that said
- 27:38like. You know, making things
- 27:40affordable for like the middle class and lower class and
- 27:43whatnot is never going to be a bad marketing strategy.
- 27:45Never because they. I'm gonna go.
- 27:48I'm gonna go. I'm absolutely gonna go.
- 27:49Like people. You can't.
- 27:50You know, you used to be able to go and you'd take your kids and
- 27:52you'd have a fun day. Yeah.
- 27:53Can't afford to do that now. No.
- 27:55Yeah. So.
- 27:56I mean, like, that's a, that's a.
- 27:58That is an excellent marketing strategy.
- 28:00They should be trying to get make it affordable for people to
- 28:03get to the games and support the team.
- 28:05Absolutely. You're hardware.
- 28:07You're already making plenty of money off advertisers and shit
- 28:10like that. You know people's stadium is is
- 28:12packed. If you look around the entire
- 28:14stadium, how much advertising is on the walls or wherever?
- 28:16They're paying for every minute that and that doesn't count
- 28:19commercials. Legit, that doesn't count radio
- 28:21commercials. So if you want to sit here, if
- 28:23you want us to cheer on the team, which you know, we not
- 28:26everybody loves doing that, but we enjoy.
- 28:27Going to a game? Hey, we love the Cardinals.
- 28:30Make it so I can afford to do it.
- 28:32Yeah, I shouldn't have to take out.
- 28:33I shouldn't have to go down the bank and take out a small one.
- 28:35Yeah, 100%. No, absolutely.
- 28:40I have to tell you this very quickly.
- 28:42Sam and Liv are watching Tik Toks and it was a kid.
- 28:46A lady was at a bar and she's like, oh, I want to pay my tab.
- 28:50What'd you have? Three vodka cranberries?
- 28:53I'm going to need you to go down to the bank and take out a small
- 28:56loan. And so we were laughing so hard
- 28:59about that. And so when the dude hit that
- 29:00car yesterday, we're like, we're going to need you to go take out
- 29:03a small loan. Yeah, we were cracking ourselves
- 29:05up, but anyway. OK update Just FYI it is only
- 29:09for the Saint Louis Cardinals right now.
- 29:10Legit it's a it's the Coca-Cola unlimited.
- 29:13Whatever. And they, well, they, they
- 29:15needed to do something because attendance was way down last.
- 29:17Year it was now the IT includes. It includes ice cold fountain,
- 29:22Coca-Cola products, hot dogs, chicken tenders, Bratwurst,
- 29:25nachos, chips and cheese. That's all I need, baby, that's
- 29:27all I need. And live a little olives.
- 29:29No one is those chicken tendies, so it's all good.
- 29:32French fries, popcorn, peanuts, kettle chips, ice cream cups in
- 29:36the little helmet. Yep, Fans may select.
- 29:39Probably. Fans may.
- 29:41No, no, no, it's the. It's gonna be in a boring old
- 29:43cup. Vine, for God's sake.
- 29:44It's 29 bucks, Anna. It's 29 bucks for an ice cream.
- 29:47What do you What do you want? Fans may select up to three
- 29:50items per visit and in return as often as they like.
- 29:52And then it goes until the 8th inning.
- 29:54Wow, yeah. You could really gorgeous.
- 29:58I was, I was listening to the radio before my fucking music
- 30:01kicked on. And the guy goes, how many hot
- 30:03dogs do you think you could eat in three hours?
- 30:05And the one guy was like. 6 Not me.
- 30:08I think I could get 10 down. Oh my God.
- 30:09And I'm like, I mean, if I was really committed, I would get 0
- 30:12down. I hate hot dogs, but how many
- 30:14rats do you? I think I could eat in three
- 30:17hours. I think, I think I could average
- 30:192 an hour if I was really, really like trying to fight it
- 30:23and trying to get my money's worth, you know?
- 30:25What? I mean, I'm like, your dad would
- 30:27take that challenge and then he would be miserable for the next
- 30:30week. So yeah, no, we don't need to
- 30:33try to eat that much food. That's crazy.
- 30:35But yeah, no, it's two sections, sections 270-1272 and then you
- 30:38can go to. Cool.
- 30:40Well thing, I'm like, fuck it, let me do something, Big Mac
- 30:43Lane. Now I get a fucking
- 30:44cheeseburger. The next day, right?
- 30:46Yeah, we do it. All right.
- 30:47We're in on that. Hell yeah.
- 30:49Food and drinks will be available from when gates open
- 30:52until the end of the 8th inning, so if you get there early
- 30:54enough, you could. Fucking gate open our view can
- 30:56be. Pounding those wieners.
- 30:59You could be barfing by the 8th inning.
- 31:02Or even before the game starts. If you're started, you're
- 31:05absolutely committed. Wow.
- 31:08OK, yeah. So I was like, I'm like, we're
- 31:10gonna have to go. Yeah, absolutely.
- 31:13The best time to go. I will say my favorite time to
- 31:17go to a Colonel game is like April and May.
- 31:21Yeah, before it's gotten too crazy hot, right?
- 31:23And we're going to have to get these tickets early because, you
- 31:25know, they're going to sell everybody and their brother's
- 31:27going to be, I would think, clamoring for these.
- 31:29But yeah, your dad and I, we like to go to the games April
- 31:32and May because then it's not 100° yet.
- 31:35And so we'll check out the, we'll check out the giveaways
- 31:39during those months. And then a lot of times, him and
- 31:41I usually take in at least one game where we do an all
- 31:44inclusive. It's the president.
- 31:47I think it's the president's club that is my favorite and
- 31:50they've got, they've got the daiquiris on tap, man, it's
- 31:53amazing. It's amazing.
- 31:55I love the presidents club, presidents club.
- 31:58And typically we, you know, you have a lot of the, the Cardinals
- 32:03have like sales reps whatever. And if you've bought like from
- 32:07one before, they reach out to you in the next year.
- 32:10And so I'm I'm I'm already getting the emails, you know,
- 32:13and you can get the the you only time you can get really good
- 32:17deals on the all inclusive tickets are April and May.
- 32:20Why? I think it's because it's early
- 32:22on. They're trying to get people
- 32:23there, that kind of thing. Yeah.
- 32:25And so you can get pretty good deals on all clueses for if you
- 32:28go early on. So I'm going to have to check my
- 32:30emails and see what they've got to offer me.
- 32:33But yeah, someday you're going to have to go and sit in the
- 32:36Presidents Club because it's a. Well, I'll tell you what, I got
- 32:40to go sit at the whatever the fucking Royals Club 1 was, Yeah,
- 32:44because yeah, yeah. It was your work though.
- 32:45We got partnership. That was fancy, which is
- 32:47awesome. That was fancy schmancy, I'll
- 32:49tell you that. So heck yeah.
- 32:51Also I can turn that down. I, I'm not a, I'm not a Royals
- 32:55fan, obviously. I'm a, I'm a Cardinals fan and
- 32:57whatnot, Of course, as you should be.
- 32:59I, I know of, of Bobby Witt Junior now, who is the shortstop
- 33:03for the Royals, OK. And I was telling you about it,
- 33:05I think because I, I got to put his face on some of our ads and
- 33:07such like that. And I was like, this is the most
- 33:10photogenic man I've ever seen. Legit Bobby Whit Junior.
- 33:15Well, let's see him. Well, Bobby Whit, Junior.
- 33:17I mean, he's a, he's a cutie. How do you spell wit?
- 33:21I got you. I'm just gonna trans, okay?
- 33:23Okay, this is a terrible photo but.
- 33:25He is the most photogenic man I've ever seen.
- 33:28This is a terrible photo. Terrible photo.
- 33:30Because his hair is pushing his. Okay, this is a guy.
- 33:33I get what you're. Saying, see what I'm saying?
- 33:34No matter what he's doing, he always looks camera.
- 33:37Right like action pose. Yes, look at.
- 33:41He's gone kind of like a mullet, so it's flying behind.
- 33:45Yeah, he doesn't. Well, this in these photos he
- 33:47does. It's he just kind of has long.
- 33:48Yeah, no, when he's when he's like we got all these photos of
- 33:51him running. Oh, look at him here.
- 33:52Is that him? Yeah, that one.
- 33:55But he like, yeah, we've got, we have like a photo of like this
- 33:58of him diving and he's like. He's smiling.
- 34:00Smiling. I swear to God I'm like, this is
- 34:02the again. This is the most photo check
- 34:04person I've ever seen. It does not matter.
- 34:07He is always, he always seems to be ready, but he's a nice guy.
- 34:12He's a nice guy. And he sponsors the bank or
- 34:15he's. One of the spokesperson, well, I
- 34:17don't know, we got a deal. We have a deal.
- 34:20You have a deal we don't talk about.
- 34:21It no, we have like, I don't want to go into the deal because
- 34:23I don't know what I can say. And that's OK, because that
- 34:26would be boring, so we're not going to talk.
- 34:27About that, no, but yeah, no, I don't know.
- 34:30But I have sat in the the fancy schmancy fucking Royals club.
- 34:34Nice, Nice. Those are always fun.
- 34:36That's always a fun time, right? Yeah.
- 34:38Well, very cool. Very cool.
- 34:42What? Oh, I know.
- 34:44And so that brings me to my sauce.
- 34:46Sauce. You're right, when he was in
- 34:47the. Sauce, my secret sauce Well, I
- 34:49was waiting 'cause I needed a transition.
- 34:50The sauce is. Stadium secret sauce?
- 34:53So stadium secret sauce, yes. Is that sold at all stadiums?
- 34:58Nope, it's only still sold at the Brewer Stadium.
- 35:00Oh, I just talked about this. We have now my life has changed
- 35:05just now today when I just googled because.
- 35:07If you don't know where the Brewer Stadium is in Wisconsin.
- 35:09It's in Wisconsin, Milwaukee, if you will, the Milwaukee Brewers.
- 35:11They also have the perfect logo. Just FYI, I do like.
- 35:15That it's because I don't just like it, Anna.
- 35:17I'm objectively correct that it is the perfect logo.
- 35:21From a graphic designer. You see, it's a glove, a ball.
- 35:23Look it up. We'll probably post a picture.
- 35:26It is Ashley and I agree. It is like it's what you aspire
- 35:30to have. All graphic designers should
- 35:31aspire well, this logo because it's it's all graphic designers
- 35:35should aspire to design A logo as good as the Milwaukee
- 35:39Brewers, like alternate, like icon logo.
- 35:42OK, they resist stunts. OK.
- 35:46OK. OK.
- 35:47But they have what's called the stadium secret sauce.
- 35:50It's kind of like a BBQ sauce or whatever.
- 35:51OK, but it's a secret. Yeah.
- 35:54Well, and so Ash's family's course is from Wisconsin.
- 35:58And so they have gone and picked us up, you know, because you can
- 36:03just buy it, grocery stores and such like that up there.
- 36:05So they'll pick us up a a thing or two and bring it down.
- 36:08Then we'll have it. So whenever we make broths.
- 36:10I just did a Google to get the name of this sauce because I
- 36:13want to make sure I had it right.
- 36:15Turns out you can buy a 2 pack on Amazon.
- 36:17Oh. Legit hot damn.
- 36:19OK, you don't have to wait for it to come back from Wisconsin.
- 36:21No, No, you don't. That's awesome.
- 36:24I was like, I can. You're telling me?
- 36:26You're telling me that for the low, low price of 2195, I can
- 36:31get a pack of two stadium secret sauces?
- 36:32Hot damn. OK now.
- 36:35Oh, yeah. By now.
- 36:37You said it's kind of like a BBQ sauce.
- 36:38Is it better than Sweet Baby Ray's?
- 36:41It's not, AI wouldn't use it as a BBQ.
- 36:43Sauce. Oh, I see.
- 36:44OK. It's kind of like that.
- 36:46But I would not. I would not.
- 36:48So is it more like instead of ketchup, you would put that on
- 36:50your bride 100% every. And that's all I'll put.
- 36:53It's all I used. OK.
- 36:53It's like a little topping rather than a Yeah.
- 36:56It's like sauce. OK.
- 36:57Yeah. It's like almost maybe there's
- 36:58like maybe a little more vinegar in it than a, than a true BBQ
- 37:02sauce because it's a little bit runnier.
- 37:04It's not as thick as what you would expect.
- 37:06Like a sweet baby race. OK.
- 37:07OK. But it is.
- 37:08I like it. OK, I'm trying to see if they
- 37:11have a description for like what it tastes like.
- 37:14Probably not. Not on Amazon they won't, but
- 37:16yeah, I know Ash loves it. Yeah, it's got water, tomato
- 37:20paste, corn syrup, distilled vinegar, high fructose corn
- 37:23syrup. I'm not going to keep going,
- 37:24but. That doesn't sound like much of
- 37:25A secret that list the ingredients honestly they sell.
- 37:32One bottle of secret stadium sauce and half well doesn't tell
- 37:34you the amounts of what everything.
- 37:36It's true, you know, but. They do have to tell you they
- 37:38would grill. Sausages until golden brown.
- 37:40Dip sausages in simmering secret sauce at 180°.
- 37:44Place sausage, sausages and fresh long rolls.
- 37:47Garnish with sauerkraut or onions before serving.
- 37:50Also great on chicken or ribbes. I had a stroke of the other also
- 37:58grid on chicken or ribs cracks we had.
- 38:02That was awesome. Yeah.
- 38:04Nope. OK, so there's our sauce.
- 38:08That's our sauce. I like it.
- 38:09OK. I don't think I've ever had it.
- 38:10So that'll be fun to try. Yeah.
- 38:13Very cool. You've actually I brought it
- 38:15over. I don't know if you tried it or
- 38:16not, but I did bring it over when we came over for brats one
- 38:18day. And but yeah, like I said, I
- 38:21don't know if you I don't. Know if I didn't know, to be
- 38:23honest with you, I don't think I did.
- 38:25But OK, embarrassing. All right, moving on.
- 38:28OK, what do you got? Well, I do have to tell you this
- 38:30story, OK, I Speaking of banks. OK, which we weren't.
- 38:37We weren't. Speaking of, the other morning I
- 38:40pulled into my parking spot. You're out of control.
- 38:43At my bank and I, I did park in my parking lot in my parking
- 38:48spot and I and facing the, we have a, you know, the building
- 38:55to the right and then we have grass, a grassy area next to it
- 38:59to the left. If you're facing the bank and
- 39:01there's a Evergreen tree planted in the middle of this, this
- 39:06green grassy area. And if you looking straight
- 39:10back, you'll see the drive through lane that comes around
- 39:13the back of the bank. OK.
- 39:15And I see the most beautiful cardinal word Wow, sitting on
- 39:20the curb of the drive we're. Talking about the.
- 39:22Cardinals, that's true. Better transition, even better
- 39:25segue as I see this Cardinal bird, he's sitting on the curb
- 39:30of the drive through lane, right?
- 39:31OK. And the sun is hitting him and
- 39:33he's almost like glowing. He's beautiful.
- 39:36It is so beautiful. And I'm like.
- 39:39Look at you. You're so.
- 39:40Gorgeous. And I want to take a picture,
- 39:42but my phone is crap and I try to zoom in.
- 39:44It's too grainy. You can't really see it Good.
- 39:47I'm like, damn, that's not going to be a good picture.
- 39:49But if I get out of the car, the minute I close the door, you
- 39:53know, you slam your door, it's probably going to fly away,
- 39:54right? So I'm not going to be able to
- 39:56get a good And I'm like and of course if I even try to walk
- 39:59closer. Yeah, it's not going to be a
- 40:02good picture, no, or it's going to fly away.
- 40:04Well, that well and that's why it won't be a good.
- 40:06Picture because it will be gone because it'll be gone.
- 40:12So I'm like darn, he's going to fly away.
- 40:14But it's so beautiful. At least I'm happy I got to see
- 40:16it get out of the car. I'm going to I go, you know,
- 40:19shut the door. Doesn't fly away.
- 40:21I'm like, oh, I walk up onto the sidewalk.
- 40:25I walk a little bit into the grass.
- 40:27OK, doesn't fly away. OK.
- 40:30I'm like, oh, OK, So I mean, it's just, you know, a bit of a
- 40:34distance. So it's not like it's super
- 40:35close to me, OK, And I'm not getting super close to it.
- 40:38Sure. So I kind of walk into the grass
- 40:40a little bit and then I zoom in. OK, I'm on the edge of my.
- 40:43Seat and I take the picture. Do you want to see the picture?
- 40:45Sure way to see it. It's a red flag.
- 40:54It's not a gargle bar at all. It's a red flag stuck into the
- 40:59ground. There's somebody I can call for
- 41:06you. I was like, that's not even a
- 41:09Cardinal. That's a red flag.
- 41:12He's. A brave.
- 41:12That's a brave bird. No wonder he wasn't flying away.
- 41:16It's not even a bird. Oh.
- 41:19Listen, I'll post. A picture so you can see my
- 41:21cardinal. It's not a cardinal, it's a
- 41:24little red flag. Someone tapped, tapped, tapped
- 41:26into the ground. I at what point?
- 41:32Not actually. You got up there, took the photo
- 41:35and then looked at it on your phone.
- 41:36Did you know you didn't know until that moment that it was a
- 41:38flag? Boy, I went.
- 41:42That's not a Cardinal. But you can see where the shape
- 41:44of. It is kind of deceiving from a
- 41:47distance and if you have macular degeneration.
- 41:50Take my glasses off, you know, and it just becomes a blur, blur
- 41:54of a shape, you know, if I I thought that any red blur could
- 41:58be a cardinal bird. Yeah, I could.
- 42:00I could see where you're going. God damn it.
- 42:04I was like, my God, Can you imagine when I realized it's not
- 42:08a cardinal bird? I was like, and it I was just
- 42:11like, I honestly was just stood there.
- 42:15I would, I think I would be, I'd be reconsidering my life.
- 42:18What else can you do? I just start laughing because
- 42:20it's just the stupidest fucking thing.
- 42:23It's pretty funny. It's pretty funny.
- 42:26And then I just went into the bank and went great, that's
- 42:28awesome. What a way to flag?
- 42:30That's way great. Way to start my day.
- 42:32Yeah. So that was the random thing I
- 42:36needed to tell you. I've been sitting on that one
- 42:37for a week. But the also this other story I
- 42:40have to tell you, not this weekend, but the weekend before
- 42:46I was over in Saint Louis because we were had a show at
- 42:49the Fox and it was Phantom of the Opera.
- 42:52And it's my ultimate favorite, favorite musical that of all
- 42:57time is my first one that I saw live at the Fox and it holds up.
- 43:02It never gets old. You know, and I, and I have
- 43:05said, I've said this before and I think I want to stick, stick
- 43:07by what I said, that it's, it is the perfect musical.
- 43:14Yeah. Especially to see at the Fox
- 43:18because you just it's the the muse and we've already talked
- 43:25about this on the musical episode, but our podcast, yeah,
- 43:29episode. That's right, the musical
- 43:30episode. But but that it's the perfect
- 43:34musical. Especially to see at the Fox
- 43:36because it's an old timey theatre and gorgeous.
- 43:39It's gorgeous. And the musical is set in a
- 43:42theatre. And so you are immediately like
- 43:44you're not just watching a musical, you are more or less a
- 43:48part. Of the musical you are, you're
- 43:50immersed in it. Just by sitting there, it's
- 43:51great. The most incredible show so it's
- 43:54it absolutely is my favorite I. Love it I, it's one of those
- 43:57things that's like, you know, I, I like the phantom of the opera.
- 44:00Of course I love it and and you don't see it for a while because
- 44:04it's not coming around all the time.
- 44:05We're not going to see it every single time.
- 44:06Doesn't. Travel every year.
- 44:07No and and so it's like, oh man, like I, you know, they love this
- 44:10musical. And I had talked it up to to
- 44:13listener Taylor to this friend Tyler and and she did not like
- 44:19musicals at all when we when. I met her.
- 44:21She was big. She had a big thing about like
- 44:23why are they singing? Just have God damn.
- 44:25This conversation would go over 5 minutes ago.
- 44:27We weren't doing like a tap break.
- 44:29Christ. And I was like no you don't
- 44:34understand, just don't understand.
- 44:35So I forced her to listen one I know.
- 44:38So I forced her to listen to Hamilton cuz that had come out
- 44:40about the same time. When it's a good one too.
- 44:42That was good too, as we know. And then when we went and saw
- 44:45six, I was like, this is amazing.
- 44:47And yeah. 6 is amazing. As we're driving up to the
- 44:49medieval times for my 30th birthday, she was in the car
- 44:52with us and so we had her trapped.
- 44:54Oh, she was trapped. You're right.
- 44:55And her kid trapped. She had no say.
- 44:57She could, and she's sitting in the back room, so we're playing
- 45:01the music. For her, the.
- 45:03Music So we'd play a song and I'd pause and I'd be like, OK,
- 45:05so here's the historical context.
- 45:07Remember what's going on. You have to know you have to
- 45:09know the historical context behind each wife or her kids.
- 45:11And it makes more sense, right? And I was like, I'm sorry, this
- 45:13is like ruining your immersion. She's like no no, like this is
- 45:15the I need this information. It's true.
- 45:17It's true. And she loved the, she loved it.
- 45:20It's incredible. And so, and when that came back
- 45:23last year or the year before, yeah, we of course, we took her
- 45:25to go see that one. She loved it.
- 45:26That was the first show she'd ever seen, the first musical.
- 45:29She was held up and she loved it.
- 45:30And she did love it. And I was, you know, it'll.
- 45:32Be back, it'll be back. Well, I was worried because it
- 45:34ended on Broadway. It did at one time was the
- 45:37longest running musical like of. All time.
- 45:38I think it still is. I don't know, I think I thought
- 45:40Lion King might have surpassed it.
- 45:42Let's I'll find out. Do the Google I know find out I.
- 45:45Think it's still cuz I was just looking at that.
- 45:46Sometimes, a lot of times, let's put it that way, if a show ends
- 45:50on Broadway, it doesn't travel. It doesn't have.
- 45:51Traveling show then and we were, I was so worried it was not
- 45:56going to travel anymore and I'm like, no, it's my favorite.
- 46:00The The Phantom of the Opera is is the longest running musical
- 46:04on Broadway, having played 13,981 performances over 35
- 46:09years before closing April of 2023.
- 46:11I couldn't. When it closed, I was
- 46:12devastated. I was like, no, you can't close.
- 46:15As of early 2026, the 1996 revival of Chicago holds the
- 46:19title for the longest running show.
- 46:21Currently playing, still running, but that debuted in 96,
- 46:26so it's got quite a few years to catch up.
- 46:29First going to Scissor Pass and that's still.
- 46:31Running Wow, okay, I thought Lion King had.
- 46:34I thought. I don't know where I heard that
- 46:36Lion King had overtaken it, but which is also an incredible
- 46:39show, so no hate to let. No, no, the well, so it's the
- 46:43family effort's got 13,981, Chicago 96 revival is got
- 46:4811,500, shows The Lion King is behind that 11,001. 128.
- 46:53And then Wicked after that at 8667.
- 46:56OK, OK, Chicago, Lion King, Wicked are all still running.
- 46:59Yes they are, you're right. But well, so we had to take Tay
- 47:03to the to see the phantom and I was so glad that she could come
- 47:08because it's, it's just mind blowing.
- 47:11What a wonderful, incredible show.
- 47:14And she was absolutely adorable. And I loved that she loved it
- 47:18and she loved it, of course. And she would love when you when
- 47:21you when you recommend something to someone, it kind of makes you
- 47:24a little bit nervous because it's like they don't like it.
- 47:26They're. Going to think I have terrible
- 47:27taste now. Legit.
- 47:28And but when they love it, then it's just, it's so awesome.
- 47:31You're so happy to share, you know, this awesome thing that
- 47:34you love with someone else. So yeah.
- 47:35And that's, and I was like, I'm sitting there and I'm watching
- 47:38like, Oh my God, because I haven't seen it in a while.
- 47:40Yeah. And so, you know, part of he's
- 47:43like, I, I know that this show is good.
- 47:46And then when you're sitting there before it starts, you're
- 47:47like, maybe I was over. Maybe I was over blowing it.
- 47:51Maybe what if I was wrong? And then it starts and then I'm
- 47:54like, Nope, I was right. I've never been wrong.
- 47:56Ever. Never.
- 47:57You've never been wrong. If you haven't seen the Phantom,
- 47:59you've got to go see family. You got to go see family Opera.
- 48:01You don't see any other show, right?
- 48:03And it and see, now, of course, it's my opinion that that is the
- 48:06perfect musical. Nope, that is factual, I think.
- 48:11All right, you heard it here first.
- 48:12It's factual. An objective third party.
- 48:15My mom said that I'm right. It's the best show ever.
- 48:20It I I. It's definitely, it's definitely
- 48:23up there. I think as far as my some of my
- 48:25favorite musicals, but I, I don't know for sure what I would
- 48:29say, you know? Honestly, we have seen some
- 48:32incredible shows. Yeah.
- 48:34And I'm like, go into my head, someone's going to make me say
- 48:37my favorite. That's so hard.
- 48:38Right, I think, I think in my head I would like in my knee
- 48:41jerk reaction would just to be to say the fan of the opera,
- 48:43because I think it's effective, but but.
- 48:44Truly, I was like. It's got it all.
- 48:47It's it's just everything. It's but it's a special offense,
- 48:50you know, it's the first show I ever saw live like that.
- 48:53And I grew up watching musicals because my mom likes.
- 48:55Musicals, yeah, right. And you, you grew up when you
- 48:57were watching them as. Well, as a kid, you, you are
- 49:00immersed in your mom and your dad's music and, and the shows
- 49:04they like and, you know, that kind of thing.
- 49:06Did you get older? And then you have, you know,
- 49:08obviously we like, we didn't make you watch things that we
- 49:11only we let you watch cartoons. Well, of course, of course, but.
- 49:13But no, but that's like you're, you listen to the music your
- 49:15parents like when you're growing up and you listen to.
- 49:18The shows that you know they watch, yes, because sometimes,
- 49:21sometimes we want to watch TV too, but so you're, you know,
- 49:26you're stuck. You're going to watch musicals
- 49:27because I love them and that's fine.
- 49:28And I watch them as a. Kid I also I also quite like
- 49:30them. Yeah.
- 49:31And so I don't know, that's just the thing in our family that we
- 49:35just, we just love. But the first one I saw live on
- 49:39stage, not counting a high school production, let's put it
- 49:42that way, you know, because I did.
- 49:44Go a professional production. At the Fox in this amazing,
- 49:47glorious, incredible theatre time theatre.
- 49:50I was just talking to my parents about the theatre because I
- 49:53said, did you guys ever see like a live show there or was it
- 49:55because I can remember them telling me they went to see The
- 49:58Sound of Music as a movie? Yeah, it was a movie.
- 50:04Theater. And I said, did they do live
- 50:05productions and things there when you were younger or was it
- 50:07just mainly a movie theater? And they're like, it was a movie
- 50:09theater. That's crazy.
- 50:10Isn't it crazy? It's like the most.
- 50:12Grand, beautiful theater. Yeah, it was for movies.
- 50:17Did I tell you I may have already said this?
- 50:19Listeners sorry. And listener Erica, if I have
- 50:21this wrong, I also apologize. But did I tell you that listener
- 50:25Erica got married at the Fox? Are you for real?
- 50:30I believe it was during COVID and they they had their their
- 50:33wedding at the Fox. I'm stunned.
- 50:36I I can't say I'm stunned speechless because we're it's a
- 50:38podcast and that would be very ineffective.
- 50:40But if I would have known that that was an option, I would have
- 50:44a 100% done that. That's incredible.
- 50:47I'd literally consider the Fox my happy place.
- 50:50And when I walk inside those doors, it I'm just very, it
- 50:54makes me feel very happy. Yeah.
- 50:56I was having a really, really rough week the week before we
- 50:59went to see Phantom and just man, it was a tough week and
- 51:05that was our show there's. Her.
- 51:08Oh my God, that's incredible. I love it.
- 51:11She just showed me a picture. You have to ask her if we can
- 51:14post it. Yeah, get her permission.
- 51:16They put the starring. Oh my.
- 51:18Gosh, that's incredible. I love it that oh, that's
- 51:24amazing. You're going.
- 51:25I'm going to tell Sam that she's.
- 51:27Going to love that now again, OK, and I I'm going to confirm
- 51:33these facts with Erica before I listen to Erica before I post
- 51:36this podcast. I've got time to do that.
- 51:38I think it was during COVID. And so of course you can't have
- 51:41the shows. And so you could you could do
- 51:43things, it was easier to do things like you could do
- 51:45something like that. And but yeah, so that's like,
- 51:47you know, it's amazing, right? I mean, you.
- 51:49Probably can still do it in offseason, but when the oh, I'm
- 51:52sure. But during this the the season,
- 51:55you know, it's kind of like a school year.
- 51:57Yeah. It runs from fall to to spring.
- 52:01Yeah. They're they're they're tight.
- 52:02Yeah. I don't know, cuz like we go to
- 52:04a Sunday matinee. So yeah.
- 52:06Yeah, I think, I think they run on the show seven days a week.
- 52:08Yeah. But yeah.
- 52:10That's incredible. Isn't it fun?
- 52:11I love it. Oh, that She and I were talking
- 52:13about musicals. That made my day.
- 52:14She and I were talking about musicals this past Monday and I
- 52:17got back. Well, I'll tell you what, Sam
- 52:19and I, you know, you just, you honestly can forget how much,
- 52:23how incredible. Yeah.
- 52:24The Phantom of the Opera is because we sit down, the show
- 52:28starts, you know, and it's it starts with with the auction,
- 52:31the beginning at the beginning of the show.
- 52:32If you've never seen it, I won't spoil much after that.
- 52:34But then that iconic music, the the organ hits you and you get
- 52:42and it just and we had a live orchestra in the pit this time
- 52:46and it's. Do you not have that every time?
- 52:48No, you don't always have. Well, no, no phantom you always.
- 52:51Have live. That's what I meant.
- 52:52I was like, I think if you go again, the Phantom, the Opera is
- 52:56the perfect show because you get the orchestra, there's special
- 52:59effects, amazing. There's opera, there's other
- 53:02songs, there's other songs, there's songs, there's singing,
- 53:05there's dancing, there's funny. The only thing that's missing is
- 53:08a tap break. It's true, there is no.
- 53:10Tap, but you know, there's a little.
- 53:11There's a little ballet break, which is cool.
- 53:14It's fair, but it's also quite funny.
- 53:15There's very funny parts. Yeah, it's very cool.
- 53:19It also gets you in the fields when she sings wishing you were
- 53:23somehow here. Again, Oh my God, the tears
- 53:25just. Just start coming and Sam and I
- 53:30and Mayor are literally holding hands during that part and we're
- 53:34all crying and it's, it's just incredible.
- 53:37It's got everything. But it just honestly, after
- 53:40having a bad week and then you go see that show, I'm like that
- 53:43just, it just, it's everything. And it just made me feel so much
- 53:46better. And I was like, if that had been
- 53:47any other show, it might not have been able to Get Me Out of
- 53:50that, Get Me Out of my bad mood. But I'll tell you what that did.
- 53:53Maybe we'll post a picture of us at the Phantom.
- 53:55Absolutely, because I think we both took photos of us at the
- 53:57Phantom. OK, cool.
- 53:58For sure. For sure.
- 54:00So I have. So after that show, we met up
- 54:04with Liv and a couple of her friends and they wanted to go.
- 54:08Where do they want to go? I can't remember.
- 54:09We went, but we ended up at the Foundry.
- 54:13OK. And there's a couple of shops
- 54:16there, whole bunch and all kinds of different things.
- 54:18And there's a food court. Yes.
- 54:20And so there's this really cute, very girly shop there.
- 54:23What is the name of that shop? I didn't take a picture of it
- 54:27and they sell all kinds. She she sells all kinds of like
- 54:30female owned, which is awesome. And then they hell yeah, there's
- 54:32a couple locations there. There's an actual I got a flyer
- 54:37that I had got so I can show it to you.
- 54:38OK, And I left it downstairs. So you know, I'm not don't have
- 54:42it to. To show it to you, off to we're
- 54:44this is we're really cooking right now.
- 54:45I'm I'm absolutely on it. I'm on top of my game.
- 54:50I'm going to let me see if the Google will will tell me.
- 54:54OK. The name of this store I can't
- 54:56remember it, but they have like Taylor Swift nights at like
- 55:05their bar location. Shut the fuck up and I'm like we
- 55:08golden gems. It's called golden gems is the
- 55:10name of the store. Well, OK, I'm.
- 55:12On my way. And it's very cute.
- 55:14The store is very girly and it's very cute.
- 55:17And so we ended up going in there to check it out and it's
- 55:20and. All the heated rivalry stuff,
- 55:22I'm cracking up. Yeah, it's and the, the, it's
- 55:25very, I mean, it's just the cutest little store.
- 55:28And so we loved it. And they have, I don't know,
- 55:31they have these little, they have these, I don't know if it's
- 55:36a karaoke night or what it is, I can't remember, but they have a
- 55:40Taylor Swift night. Hell yeah.
- 55:41And so I got the Flyers so we can go.
- 55:43We I'm like, we got to take Abby.
- 55:45We got to take Abby to this. So I love it.
- 55:47Anyway, while we were there, we went over to eat at the food
- 55:51court because we were hungry and there's tons of different food
- 55:57places and we all get some food. And but we came around, we kind
- 56:01of like, you know how you kind of walk around and just look at
- 56:03the different food places before you make up your mind.
- 56:05And we come around the corner and there is this place that
- 56:09sells like it's all about like eggs, I guess.
- 56:14And I didn't take a picture of the name of the restaurant, but
- 56:16I took a picture of this little slogan on the wall because it
- 56:19says, can you read that? Welcome to the hen house.
- 56:21Welcome to the hen house. OK.
- 56:24And that triggered a memory. And I'm standing in the middle
- 56:27of the court laughing my ass. I think I know where this is
- 56:30going. Because that says welcome to the
- 56:32hen house. And it reminded me of the story.
- 56:34So I'm going to tell you the story, even though it's going to
- 56:36make me sound really stupid. OK, but I already made myself
- 56:40sound really stupid because I told you the story about the
- 56:44kernel bird. That turned out to be a reply.
- 56:45So you know, not not sure how much more stupid I can end up
- 56:50sounding. OK, but what were you going to
- 56:52tell me? No, no, I was going to say I
- 56:54think I know where this is going.
- 56:55OK. I also realize that this web
- 56:57that they have free phone Wallpapers that you could you
- 57:00can download the the so they're they're just free.
- 57:03But this one says spooky mom. And so I thought that that you
- 57:06could definitely. That's excellent.
- 57:08I could use that one. Yeah, that's a pretty good she.
- 57:10She has all kinds of fun stickers in the store in that in
- 57:12that store. So that was really fun.
- 57:14We all got some anyway, when I was a kid, we were going to, we,
- 57:18we had a group that the, the CYO Catholic Youth Organization.
- 57:21It was, it was a fun classic, the fun youth group.
- 57:23And we'd go do, do fun stuff. And we also did a lot of, a lot
- 57:26of access service and helped a lot of people.
- 57:28It was a it was a good. Yeah, a good.
- 57:30Organization. The CYO.
- 57:32Absolutely, we did good things but and they kept the kids off
- 57:34the streets and then away from the drugs.
- 57:37Not you, apparently. But you know me.
- 57:39But you know, we tried so. Some kids, I'm sure, weren't on.
- 57:42Drugs. Some kids weren't.
- 57:43I was not on drugs. No, no hate.
- 57:46If you were, you know, whatever I got, who am I to judge?
- 57:48Who am I to judge? Right.
- 57:50So. You know the amount of drugs I'm
- 57:52on right now? Exactly, but those are because
- 57:54I'm old and decrepit. But anyway, so we pile into this
- 58:00car of this woman. Her name was Celeste, and we
- 58:03love her. And she was like our adult
- 58:07chaperone moderator, whatever you want to call her.
- 58:09Yeah, she was wonderful. She had taught for many years.
- 58:12And when she retired, she took on this role of corralling these
- 58:16teenagers and taking us all kinds of places.
- 58:18And God bless Celeste. Absolutely.
- 58:20God bless her. We loved her.
- 58:22She was amazing, still still hanging on.
- 58:24She's like over 100 years old. Are you kidding me?
- 58:26I am not kidding. God bless Celeste.
- 58:28She is still still hanging in there.
- 58:30Celeste is the best. So I've got, let me tell you
- 58:33something, Celeste, they've really learned some legit legit.
- 58:36We, I remember we celebrated her 100th birthday like 2 years ago
- 58:39already. Like it's been a while.
- 58:40Do you remember when you celebrated?
- 58:41Your great aunt's 100th birthday with a surprise party, this was.
- 58:44Not a good idea. It was her 90th.
- 58:46And so her 90th. Somebody did arrange a surprise
- 58:48party. For a 90 year old woman, are you
- 58:51out of your mom? Which I questioned.
- 58:52I questioned. It was a soft surprise.
- 58:54I think they warned her before she walked in the door.
- 58:56So you know. It was all good.
- 58:57Yeah, we didn't like part of. We didn't scream at her and
- 59:00blow. Yeah, they're throwing this
- 59:01company in the face anyway. OK, so back to this.
- 59:03We're all, we're literally piled in her car, several of us, and
- 59:08we're driving to some event and I don't even remember what it
- 59:11was. We're going to some destination,
- 59:13don't even remember what it was. And she had this big old boat of
- 59:16a car. So there's a whole bunch of us
- 59:18crammed in there. We're little teenagers.
- 59:19So we're squeezed in there. Nobody's wearing a seat belt.
- 59:22And there were no laws. There were no laws then.
- 59:25So what year is this? 19 million in the 80s?
- 59:29There might have been a law by then, but who knows?
- 59:31So, but we are heading to, we decide we're going to meet up at
- 59:39the hen house. OK, OK, so several Cyos involved
- 59:44and from different parishes and we're going to meet up at the
- 59:48hen house and we're driving. I have no idea.
- 59:51We're in Oakville of all places, but you know, kind of middle of
- 59:54nowhere. But we're going to meet at the
- 59:55hen house and I have no idea what the hen house is.
- 59:58I don't know. And when I was a kid, well,
- 1:00:01maybe I should say it first. We pull up to the hen house and
- 1:00:05I discover it is a restaurant. OK, big old barn looking
- 1:00:09restaurant. Well that says the hen house on
- 1:00:11it. And I go what Where's the
- 1:00:15convent? And everyone turns to me and
- 1:00:20looks at me and says what convent?
- 1:00:23Why the fuck? I'm like, I thought we were
- 1:00:25going to a convent and they were like, no.
- 1:00:28Why would you think that? I thought.
- 1:00:30That and I said because. Why would you think that, Van
- 1:00:34Anhorn? They said they used to call me
- 1:00:36when I was a kid. They used to call me and we
- 1:00:38would have a girl sleepover. My mom would call it a hen
- 1:00:41party. And so we're going to the hen
- 1:00:45house. I'm thinking it's all women.
- 1:00:47It's got to be a convent. This is where my mind went.
- 1:00:53And I remember being incredibly embarrassed in front of everyone
- 1:00:58because they were like, no, this is not a convent, It's a
- 1:01:03restaurant. So that was that was quite
- 1:01:07embarrassing. But when I come around the
- 1:01:09corner in the foundry and I see the sign, welcome to the hen
- 1:01:13house. I was like, hell, yeah, that's
- 1:01:16awesome. So I had to take a picture.
- 1:01:17That's very funny. And I'm standing in the middle
- 1:01:20of this food court laughing my ass off and no one knows why I'm
- 1:01:24laughing because no one get no one finds why to the hen house
- 1:01:27as funny as me. I knew immediate.
- 1:01:30I knew immediately what you why you were about with your I had a
- 1:01:34stroke. Start over.
- 1:01:37Do you smell burning toast? Yeah, no, I I didn't immediately
- 1:01:41when you said the wall of the hen house exactly what?
- 1:01:43What? You remember hearing that story,
- 1:01:45yes, because my friends gave me shit about that to this day.
- 1:01:49They they gave me such a hard time about that because it was
- 1:01:51like, wow, that was very stupid of you.
- 1:01:54Where I mean that was a massive leap that I made.
- 1:01:58So but you know, I don't know. I don't know why my mind works
- 1:02:01that way. It just does.
- 1:02:03Who knows, who knows, who can tell?
- 1:02:05I, I was trying to help you out here and, and find, find a, a, a
- 1:02:13word that or, or some, you know, context between hen house and
- 1:02:19nunnery. Because here's the thing, and I
- 1:02:21think it's mainly because I've just grown up with you and I've
- 1:02:23heard the story before, but I've also always associated the hen
- 1:02:26house and the nunnery kind of thinking of the same thing.
- 1:02:29Now I will say, are you aware that a chicken coop, you could
- 1:02:32also call it a hennery, which does sound like a nunnery.
- 1:02:35So I'm going to I'm going to give it to you on that one that
- 1:02:38there is that there is a possible.
- 1:02:43You know, misunderstanding. I never, I've never heard of any
- 1:02:48of that stuff. It was just literally my mom
- 1:02:50just called it a hen party whenever we had a sleepover with
- 1:02:53all the girls. And so I'm like, well, a hen
- 1:02:56house has got to be all women. That's really fun.
- 1:02:58What else is all women? A convent.
- 1:03:04That is a natural deduction that I would that anyone would make.
- 1:03:09There's. OK, I I'm gonna, I'm gonna take
- 1:03:12you. Through this step by step.
- 1:03:14Because my brain just made 55, my brain just made five
- 1:03:16different leaps and. See, and unfortunately, you
- 1:03:19you've inherited the genes for me, so your brain is gonna make
- 1:03:23those leaps. So I I'm gonna I'm gonna walk
- 1:03:25you through the steps. I step.
- 1:03:26OK, OK. OK.
- 1:03:27OK. So you said, you said what else?
- 1:03:32Is all women OK. And so then I immediately went
- 1:03:35to a brothel. OK, now hold on, let's stick
- 1:03:39with. Me go in that.
- 1:03:40Direction. Stick with me.
- 1:03:41OK, So then I went brothel strip club, and then I remembered
- 1:03:45Larry Flint's as I'm driving home now hold on, hold on.
- 1:03:49Larry Flint's Hustler Club is a strip club, of course, that is
- 1:03:52on on the side of the road at six on 60 you can see.
- 1:03:55It I'll let it out when I'm driving home.
- 1:03:57Now here's the thing. I drive by this every single
- 1:04:01day. True, and right now 64 is under
- 1:04:04a shit load of construction. It is, and it's a pain in my
- 1:04:06fucking. Ass a pain?
- 1:04:07Yeah, every day because they don't ever fix anything.
- 1:04:09It feels like they just keep tearing it up.
- 1:04:11But yeah, correct. OK, Larry.
- 1:04:13Flynt's advertising cracked my shit.
- 1:04:16Oh, OK, the other day. What is it?
- 1:04:18I'm driving OK now imagine if you will, it's like 43445 maybe
- 1:04:23when yeah PM when I'm driving home.
- 1:04:25So like, you know, it's not like in the middle of the night or
- 1:04:28anything like that. Sure.
- 1:04:28And the and the thing like comes up there like billboard lights
- 1:04:31up and it says like stuck in traffic, pull over, take it
- 1:04:35wherever. Basically because of all the
- 1:04:36traffic. It was basically like if you're
- 1:04:38stuck in traffic out here on 64, we are pull over, come on in.
- 1:04:43Just you wait out the traffic at the Larry.
- 1:04:44Plant. Why wouldn't you?
- 1:04:46I. Was dying.
- 1:04:47I was like, I tell you what, Larry Plant go with a plus
- 1:04:50advertising. Absolutely.
- 1:04:51That's that's a damn good strategy.
- 1:04:53It is that is I. Bet you got somebody with that.
- 1:04:55I guarantee you got somebody with that.
- 1:04:57You almost got me with that. And that was funny just just for
- 1:05:01the story alone, just for the but I didn't pull over.
- 1:05:04I kept going. I kept going.
- 1:05:05I didn't have any cash on me. That's.
- 1:05:09True. That's not the only reason you
- 1:05:11had a tip with. That's not the only reason I
- 1:05:12didn't pull over. You can't possibly tip.
- 1:05:14If you don't have well and I wouldn't I.
- 1:05:16Would never they have an age? I would not disre, I would never
- 1:05:19disrespect those ladies by not tipping.
- 1:05:21No, they're working hard, man. And as we know, if the strippers
- 1:05:25ain't making money, nobody's making money.
- 1:05:28What's that from? What the fuck is that from?
- 1:05:31Why do we say that? There was a girl came into the
- 1:05:33bank who worked that, who worked that.
- 1:05:40She had moved here from Alaska. And she's we have gone full
- 1:05:44circle on this podcast back to alas.
- 1:05:48Like this was almost planned. Not even a little.
- 1:05:50Bit not even a little. Bit we fly, we like to fly by
- 1:05:53the seat of our pants here, people.
- 1:05:54Anyway, yeah, a girl came to the bank, opened an account and
- 1:05:57deposited her, her ones and her $1.00 bills into the account
- 1:06:03that no one wanted to count. Yeah, no one wanted to touch any
- 1:06:07of that money. It's hard girl.
- 1:06:09She left and we counted with rubber gloves.
- 1:06:10So. But she's working hard.
- 1:06:12She worked working hard and she was hilarious because she was.
- 1:06:16She eventually then moved back to Alaska because she said that
- 1:06:19she, if the strippers ain't making money, ain't nobody
- 1:06:22making money. And she couldn't make no money
- 1:06:23down here really. She says you make a lot of money
- 1:06:26stripping in Alaska. I was like.
- 1:06:28Oh, I bet you do. What else is there to do with?
- 1:06:30This stuff absolutely nothing and the the ratio of men to
- 1:06:33women there is significant significant that's exactly it's
- 1:06:38significant that's exactly right that's really fucking funny she
- 1:06:41could make more money up there so she went back and I was like
- 1:06:44you know what entrepreneur CEO we.
- 1:06:49Love a self starter, A woman who can read the market.
- 1:06:53You know what? And you know what?
