Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Hi, we're back.
- 0:01Speaker 2: We're back with the minisode. We have our special guest.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Her name is Yaminika. I don't know if you've been
- 0:06Speaker 2: exposed to her yet through this podcast or through our
- 0:09Speaker 2: shows or through her Instagram.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Exposed to me, Yeah, it's exposure.
- 0:14Speaker 3: That's what I'm I would frame thank you, and the
- 0:17Speaker 3: only reason why I'm here is fully exposure.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Catherine, what do we have on the docket for today.
- 0:24Speaker 4: Well, we have an update from a previous caller. This
- 0:28Speaker 4: is Savannah. She had called in on our Kevin Hart episode.
- 0:31Speaker 4: She is not a person doing OnlyFans, but her dad
- 0:34Speaker 4: thought she was doing only fans because the step.
- 0:37Speaker 2: By was spreading rumors of right exactly, stepbrother was tele
- 0:40Speaker 2: going around the family telling everybody that this girl was
- 0:43Speaker 2: on OnlyFans.
- 0:44Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 0:44Speaker 4: She had made some offhanded comment about like I wonder
- 0:46Speaker 4: how much they make or how do they do their taxes?
- 0:48Speaker 1: And like she started telling e Ray she was doing
- 0:50Speaker 1: only fans. Oh wow. Yeah.
- 0:52Speaker 4: So the advice was to like hit it head on,
- 0:55Speaker 4: have a conversation with her. And so she's like kind
- 0:57Speaker 4: of not talking to her stepmom because she's mad at her.
- 1:00Speaker 4: So I asked for an update, She says, I have
- 1:02Speaker 4: my tail between my legs because we've continued to just
- 1:05Speaker 4: ignore each other. She lives three hours away and we
- 1:08Speaker 4: don't have to talk much anymore. I'm getting nervous as
- 1:11Speaker 4: her daughter, my stepsister, is getting married this year and
- 1:14Speaker 4: I want to tackle it by then August. I just
- 1:17Speaker 4: have fear over how she'll receive what I want to say.
- 1:19Speaker 4: She will shut down and get defensive and say things like, well,
- 1:21Speaker 4: I guess I'm just the worst person ever. I don't
- 1:24Speaker 4: want to pull my dad into this anymore, and I
- 1:26Speaker 4: think I just need to call her when I'm feeling brave.
- 1:28Speaker 4: I guess I just haven't been feeling brave and she
- 1:30Speaker 4: hasn't tried anything either. The advice you and Chelsea Gabe
- 1:33Speaker 4: was wonderful, and I've listened back to it to make
- 1:35Speaker 4: sure it lives in my head when the time for
- 1:37Speaker 4: the conversation comes. I just don't know when that would
- 1:39Speaker 4: be signed a nervous and disappointed non sex worker stepdaughter Savannah.
- 1:44Speaker 3: No baby baby, and I know I wasn't here for
- 1:46Speaker 3: the first one who gives a crap, which is why
- 1:50Speaker 3: are you talking to your stepmother?
- 1:52Speaker 4: Beat it?
- 1:53Speaker 3: You told everybody in a family. I was on OnlyFans
- 1:56Speaker 3: bitch beat it. I don't understand why she gotta have
- 1:59Speaker 3: a conversation and guess what I'm gonna be at my
- 2:01Speaker 3: stepsister's wedding.
- 2:03Speaker 1: My dad going to beat it.
- 2:04Speaker 3: I'm a beat it unless the stepsister tell you to
- 2:06Speaker 3: beat it, and then you know what a step sister lie.
- 2:08Speaker 1: I don't understand this nonsense of I got to tackle.
- 2:12Speaker 3: This conversation with a woman that you already know is
- 2:15Speaker 3: going to be defensive, and it's passive aggressive and playing
- 2:18Speaker 3: the victim.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Beat it lady.
- 2:20Speaker 3: So that's me updating you, giving you updated advice.
- 2:23Speaker 2: That's better advice than I gave the first time around.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Quite frankly, I mean.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Yeah, fuck her.
- 2:28Speaker 2: I think the girl was upset because her her dad
- 2:30Speaker 2: actually was like believing the mother, but also exactly like,
- 2:34Speaker 2: fuck off. If you're spreading rumors about me like that,
- 2:36Speaker 2: that aren't true. If there's no basis, like a fact,
- 2:39Speaker 2: and then.
- 2:40Speaker 1: No, fuck off, it's right fuck off.
- 2:43Speaker 4: So new advice, Savannah, Just fuck her. Yeah, So we
- 2:51Speaker 4: do have a caller today, Ashley writes in her subject
- 2:55Speaker 4: line is politics are destroying my book club. Dear tell
- 3:00Speaker 4: I'm part of a six woman book club that consists
- 3:02Speaker 4: of the following demographic politically, one MAGA, three Liberal Dems,
- 3:07Speaker 4: one moderate DEM think Bill maher DEM this is me,
- 3:10Speaker 4: and one extremely woke progressive. We live in Seattle, however,
- 3:13Speaker 4: all the Dems are transplants from California and the magafan
- 3:16Speaker 4: is a transplant from Idaho. I was homesick during our
- 3:19Speaker 4: last gathering in early February when a notable fight erupted
- 3:23Speaker 4: over the current Trump administration's work since taking office. It
- 3:26Speaker 4: resulted in the Mega individual leaving the gathering in tears,
- 3:29Speaker 4: and one remaining progressive in three liberals agreeing to kick
- 3:32Speaker 4: her out of.
- 3:33Speaker 1: The book club.
- 3:34Speaker 4: When we planned our next meetup, I inquired about talking
- 3:36Speaker 4: to Maga and moving the group forward without her. I
- 3:39Speaker 4: received backlash from the progressives that she was not worthy
- 3:42Speaker 4: of feedback given her values. I disagree with this. Kicking
- 3:45Speaker 4: someone out of a club they've been in for six
- 3:47Speaker 4: years with no feedback, then continuing to post about it
- 3:50Speaker 4: on social media is a textbook form of high school bullying.
- 3:54Speaker 4: We're thirty seven, Grow the fuck up, and yes we've
- 3:56Speaker 4: already tried, agreed to disagree, and don't talk politics in
- 3:59Speaker 4: our book club. However, it's difficult to avoid these topics
- 4:02Speaker 4: in twenty twenty five. I do not believe in cancel culture,
- 4:05Speaker 4: nor do I believe in ghosting. And while I've spent
- 4:07Speaker 4: my entire life residing in coastal elite quote unquote areas,
- 4:11Speaker 4: I have a handful of family members who voted for
- 4:13Speaker 4: Trump that I would never dream of cutting out of
- 4:14Speaker 4: my life. I feel strongly that further segregation of our
- 4:17Speaker 4: two communities is compounding the current issues we're facing in America. Finally,
- 4:21Speaker 4: this has raised some questions for me about my liberal
- 4:23Speaker 4: friends who are more than happy to continue life in
- 4:25Speaker 4: their own political bubble and dump someone just because they
- 4:28Speaker 4: don't share their beliefs. As it stands, I'm wondering if
- 4:30Speaker 4: I should excuse myself from the group altogether.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Ashley sounds like a Supreme Court situation here. I mean,
- 4:37Speaker 2: the liberals, progressive, this is a hard day moderate, and
- 4:40Speaker 2: then a maga, okay, gop it hi, Hi, how are you, Chelsea?
- 4:44Speaker 5: I'm will How are you?
- 4:45Speaker 1: So? I don't know? I mean, what do you think?
- 4:47Speaker 1: I feel like? Do you want me to go first?
- 4:49Speaker 1: I think we're gonna go? Okay, yeah, yeah, you go first?
- 4:51Speaker 1: You want me to go. You go first.
- 4:53Speaker 3: I mean, I'm in a book club, so we try.
- 4:55Speaker 3: You know, this book club is really centered. Any of
- 4:58Speaker 3: the book clubs I've ever been in have been centered
- 5:00Speaker 3: around people that are sort of like minded in ways. Right,
- 5:03Speaker 3: there's something that's threading us together. And I feel like
- 5:07Speaker 3: when we've had dissension in the club, it's probably somebody.
- 5:11Speaker 3: You know, people didn't like somebody or whatever it was.
- 5:13Speaker 3: So I've seen people come and go in book clubs
- 5:15Speaker 3: and you just go into another damn book club.
- 5:17Speaker 1: I think it's unfortunate that it did get political.
- 5:20Speaker 3: I think the issue probably right now is I understand
- 5:25Speaker 3: like you have people in your family that you would
- 5:27Speaker 3: never turn away from even though they voted for Donald Trump,
- 5:30Speaker 3: and I think you have the capacity to do that
- 5:32Speaker 3: right now. For me, if I'm honest in this time,
- 5:35Speaker 3: being a woman and being a black woman, I think
- 5:38Speaker 3: it's a matter of life or death for me when
- 5:41Speaker 3: I start to see people that are saying certain things
- 5:44Speaker 3: about certain values and people being less than human or
- 5:48Speaker 3: having to go back to places that they never even
- 5:50Speaker 3: would from, you.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Know, it becomes life or death.
- 5:52Speaker 3: So then I do look at people during this time
- 5:55Speaker 3: very differently than maybe I.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Did when we all, you know, I didn't agree that,
- 5:59Speaker 1: you know.
- 6:00Speaker 3: George Bush Junior was president, Like, there was no way
- 6:03Speaker 3: I would have ever gotten rid of somebody because they
- 6:05Speaker 3: voted for him.
- 6:07Speaker 1: But we're talking for me right now.
- 6:08Speaker 3: The president we have is very dangerous to people like me,
- 6:11Speaker 3: and so it's like a matter of life or death.
- 6:13Speaker 3: And I can see how people are getting crunchy in
- 6:15Speaker 3: that time, and I think maybe if this is going
- 6:19Speaker 3: to cause you a tear, you may have to just
- 6:22Speaker 3: go to another place, you know what I'm saying, Because
- 6:24Speaker 3: when one of the things about the book clubs are
- 6:27Speaker 3: like we respect each other's opinions, you know, even about
- 6:31Speaker 3: the interpretation of books, you know, interpretations of words and
- 6:35Speaker 3: what the authors are saying or what the point of
- 6:37Speaker 3: the story is. And if you can't really have respect
- 6:39Speaker 3: for somebody on the basis of something about their point
- 6:42Speaker 3: of view politically, I think it's going to be hard
- 6:45Speaker 3: for you to respect them in anything that they have
- 6:46Speaker 3: to say about literature.
- 6:48Speaker 5: I think that's a really interesting perspective just about the
- 6:51Speaker 5: point of the book club obviously is to respect each
- 6:53Speaker 5: other's opinions because you're going to have different opinions about
- 6:57Speaker 5: how you interpret things that you read, etc. I think
- 7:00Speaker 5: what was really interesting for me is this all came
- 7:03Speaker 5: up so your book, I think Chelsea came out in February,
- 7:06Speaker 5: so I was traveling and reading your book around the
- 7:09Speaker 5: time that this happened. And obviously I'm thinking of certain
- 7:13Speaker 5: chapters in your book that come to mind because there's
- 7:15Speaker 5: a theme of sisterhood right in your book, about being
- 7:17Speaker 5: able to have tough conversations respectfully. I'm thinking of the
- 7:20Speaker 5: Jane Fondae chapter right, your friend who partied a little
- 7:23Speaker 5: too hard, who ended up pursuing their sobriety right how?
- 7:27Speaker 5: And so to me, I think the bigger issue is,
- 7:30Speaker 5: are we now at a place in life like if
- 7:32Speaker 5: these are your my friends? Are we now at a
- 7:35Speaker 5: place in life where if we have a disagreement with someone,
- 7:37Speaker 5: we don't give them the basic decency and respect of
- 7:41Speaker 5: having a tough conversation and explaining why you want a
- 7:44Speaker 5: relationship to end or why you don't agree about something.
- 7:47Speaker 5: I think that's more what I'm struggling with in terms
- 7:50Speaker 5: of the underlying values. Does that make sense?
- 7:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that does make sense, And it's like it's it
- 7:55Speaker 2: seems like it's just really up to you, you know
- 7:57Speaker 2: what I mean, it's really a personal decision, Like do
- 8:00Speaker 2: you want to I mean, you can always reach out
- 8:02Speaker 2: to this woman and give it to her straight as
- 8:05Speaker 2: a sister, you know, in the name of sisterhood, Like
- 8:07Speaker 2: take it upon yourself to be like listen, I mean,
- 8:10Speaker 2: what is your understanding of the whole situation? What does
- 8:12Speaker 2: she what is your understanding of her understanding?
- 8:15Speaker 5: Well, I think she lives in her own media bubble, right,
- 8:17Speaker 5: so she consumes what she wants to consume, and so
- 8:21Speaker 5: she ironically is the one. So book club existed before Covid, right,
- 8:25Speaker 5: So started in twenty eighteen ish, right, And obviously Trump
- 8:29Speaker 5: was protident then, and so we were we have kind
- 8:32Speaker 5: of agree to disagree, and we don't talk politics at
- 8:34Speaker 5: book club rule, and we you know, we're not reading
- 8:37Speaker 5: like seriously political books and book club right, these are
- 8:39Speaker 5: like she fun uplifting, let's drink wine books. So we
- 8:43Speaker 5: paused hiatus in twenty twenty, got back together after you know,
- 8:47Speaker 5: Pete Covid, and we just continued from there. I mean,
- 8:51Speaker 5: Trump was out of office, so it didn't really come up.
- 8:53Speaker 5: But since he has been back in office and obviously
- 8:56Speaker 5: with the election last year, she's often the one who
- 8:59Speaker 5: brings up politics, knowing that she's the only Trump supporter
- 9:03Speaker 5: in the group. So that's where it's also been agitating.
- 9:06Speaker 5: She comes from a place of I want to learn,
- 9:09Speaker 5: I want to hear your opinion, I want to understand
- 9:12Speaker 5: your viewpoints, which I think we all welcome having conversations,
- 9:17Speaker 5: even if they might be uncomfortable and respectfully, but it
- 9:21Speaker 5: comes from kind of the Fox News lens of anytime
- 9:26Speaker 5: we engage in the conversation, it's like, well, what about
- 9:29Speaker 5: when Hillary did it?
- 9:30Speaker 1: Right?
- 9:30Speaker 5: She just follows that like media playbooked, and so the
- 9:34Speaker 5: conversations end up being not productive.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that's the bottom line. Is it a
- 9:39Speaker 2: productive Like it's nice to be able to extend your
- 9:43Speaker 2: tolerance to someone who has a different viewpoint if you
- 9:45Speaker 2: can have productive conversations, and I don't mean just by
- 9:48Speaker 2: getting them to understand what you believe. I mean actually
- 9:52Speaker 2: having productive, thought provoking conversations and being open to new
- 9:57Speaker 2: ideas and new information on both sides. So I mean,
- 10:01Speaker 2: if she is bringing up politics, it's kind of like
- 10:04Speaker 2: she that's the reason she's not in the group, You
- 10:06Speaker 2: know what I mean? You're not there to talk about politics.
- 10:08Speaker 2: You just said that, and you guys all understand that,
- 10:10Speaker 2: and especially her being like the only MAGA person, of course,
- 10:14Speaker 2: she's going to feel outnumbered and want to, like, you
- 10:18Speaker 2: know what a dog does to like mark their territory,
- 10:20Speaker 2: to almost just establish some sort of like you're not
- 10:23Speaker 2: going to roll me over or rollover, you know, like
- 10:26Speaker 2: she's probably trying to establish some sort of dominance or
- 10:29Speaker 2: just a placeholder at the very minimum. But it's just
- 10:33Speaker 2: it's a matter of what does she think that happened?
- 10:36Speaker 2: Does she know what it is that she got mixed
- 10:38Speaker 2: from the group?
- 10:39Speaker 5: Well, yeah, so interestingly, so I was traveling in miss
- 10:43Speaker 5: last book club, but I guess she announced to the
- 10:45Speaker 5: group that she's just going to move to Texas because
- 10:48Speaker 5: living in Seattle is pointless and she can't date anyone
- 10:51Speaker 5: here because none of they're too liberal and too woke.
- 10:54Speaker 4: Bro.
- 10:54Speaker 5: Yeah, so it's just like, Okay, that's the solution, just
- 10:57Speaker 5: moved to a red state.
- 10:59Speaker 2: And but that's her though, Like you can't blame your
- 11:02Speaker 2: other Brook club friends who are the liberals and progressives.
- 11:05Speaker 2: You can't blame them for her. She's from what you're
- 11:08Speaker 2: telling me, she is an agitator, not just because she's
- 11:12Speaker 2: a Republican or a maga or whatever. She keeps bringing
- 11:16Speaker 2: it up like that's not that she knows.
- 11:18Speaker 1: That's not the forum for that kind And I want
- 11:20Speaker 1: you to see.
- 11:21Speaker 3: Where you keep aligning yourself with her, which I think
- 11:24Speaker 3: is the biggest problem. Stop aligning yourself with her. You
- 11:27Speaker 3: keep having this pity for her for whatever reason, right,
- 11:30Speaker 3: And it's like she doesn't deserve any pity. And where
- 11:33Speaker 3: she comes into a situation and she's trying to antagonize
- 11:36Speaker 3: it and agitate it. And most certainly if there's a
- 11:41Speaker 3: constant conversation about what she feels, you know, with this
- 11:45Speaker 3: current presidency and all of this stuff, and nobody's bringing
- 11:48Speaker 3: that up, maybe she should go somewhere where people are
- 11:51Speaker 3: willing to engage her in that conversation.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:54Speaker 2: I think what you're saying is like, you have a
- 11:56Speaker 2: set of principles, and that's great. You can still gage
- 12:00Speaker 2: with people who are Trump supporters, and you can still
- 12:02Speaker 2: talk to your family members. But this instance, like this instance,
- 12:06Speaker 2: this woman has kind of caused her removal from the
- 12:09Speaker 2: book club. It sounds like, so while you have your principles,
- 12:13Speaker 2: you can still hold on to those and remain in
- 12:15Speaker 2: your book club. She just kind of worked outside the lines.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Like that doesn't change that you're open to talking to
- 12:21Speaker 2: people who have different political beliefs.
- 12:23Speaker 3: And it sounds like she's still in the club, isn't she,
- 12:24Speaker 3: Because how is she making all these announcements.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Is she out the club?
- 12:28Speaker 5: Yeah, she's she's engaged with us still.
- 12:30Speaker 1: I mean, okay, that's what I'm saying. Okay, y'all got
- 12:33Speaker 1: to really show her. She just sounds like.
- 12:34Speaker 2: A pain in the ass, regardless of her political alignment,
- 12:36Speaker 2: you know what I mean.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Yeah, And you've seen.
- 12:38Speaker 3: The sun and cool and upbeat, and I know you
- 12:41Speaker 3: seem like you got sympathy for this lady with Shaka off.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Yeah, and focus on other Trump like supporters that are
- 12:46Speaker 2: more you know that you can have conversations with that
- 12:48Speaker 2: don't surround politics.
- 12:50Speaker 1: You know.
- 12:50Speaker 2: I totally am with you that it would be nice
- 12:52Speaker 2: to be having in conversation with people who are different
- 12:55Speaker 2: from different political beliefs. But unfortunately, I feel like Yamnika
- 12:59Speaker 2: feels like I feel like it is a deal breaker.
- 13:01Speaker 3: Chelsea.
- 13:01Speaker 5: So you mentioned recently on your social media that you
- 13:04Speaker 5: have some family. I believe, correct me if I'm wrong,
- 13:06Speaker 5: but who don't share your political beliefs as well, and
- 13:09Speaker 5: maybe supporters of Trump, if I recall.
- 13:10Speaker 2: They're not Trump supporters, but they are conservative. I don't
- 13:14Speaker 2: know that they voted for Trump. Nobody has admitted to
- 13:16Speaker 2: voting for Trump. Nobody would admit that to me and
- 13:18Speaker 2: my family. But there are supporters of more conservative politics,
- 13:24Speaker 2: and you know, arguments about affirmative action, arguments about Russia, Ukraine,
- 13:30Speaker 2: who's really at fault? There things that I find intolerable
- 13:34Speaker 2: and propaganda, you know, and I don't, And so I
- 13:36Speaker 2: draw the line at like, if you're spewing conspiracy theories,
- 13:40Speaker 2: I'm not interested in being around that, And that's for
- 13:43Speaker 2: me a personal thing that I've just you know, I
- 13:45Speaker 2: don't want that. I don't want that toxicity around me.
- 13:48Speaker 2: I want to talk about things that are actually happening.
- 13:51Speaker 2: So I have a different set of values. But I
- 13:53Speaker 2: like your principle. I think I totally support that for you,
- 13:57Speaker 2: But I think this woman is just kind of outside
- 13:59Speaker 2: of that.
- 14:00Speaker 5: What I'm saying there, Yeah, and I think this is validating.
- 14:03Speaker 5: I think the reason I loved your most recent book
- 14:05Speaker 5: as well, Chelsea, is because I kind of followed have
- 14:07Speaker 5: followed the same trajectory in my life, where ten years
- 14:10Speaker 5: ago I would have told someone to fuck off and
- 14:12Speaker 5: never spoken to them again if they even irritated me
- 14:15Speaker 5: a little bit. Right, And I have spent some years
- 14:17Speaker 5: in therapy after COVID lockdowns and whatnot, and I'm now
- 14:21Speaker 5: working to be a better person in terms of tough
- 14:24Speaker 5: conversations and whatnot, and almost feel sometimes I air a
- 14:28Speaker 5: little bit too far on the other side. Right, I've
- 14:31Speaker 5: gone from one pendulum to the other of giving people
- 14:34Speaker 5: passes on things or feeling like, well, how am I
- 14:36Speaker 5: playing a part in this if someone is being an antagonist?
- 14:39Speaker 5: So it's nice to hear this perspective and get a
- 14:42Speaker 5: little clarity on this. So thank you.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Yeah, And if you wanted, like if you want to
- 14:46Speaker 2: show in a strength of sisterhood or a demonstration of sisterhood,
- 14:49Speaker 2: like if you want to shoot her an email and
- 14:50Speaker 2: go listen. I'm sorry that this didn't work out with
- 14:52Speaker 2: the book club, but I just want you to know,
- 14:54Speaker 2: like you kept bringing up politics in a place that
- 14:56Speaker 2: is not.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Supposed to be.
- 14:57Speaker 6: It's supposed to be politically free, Like if you.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Want to extend that to her, you can, But I
- 15:01Speaker 2: wouldn't feel terrible about her not being in the book
- 15:05Speaker 2: club anymore. Like I would let that go. It's not
- 15:07Speaker 2: our job to like, you know, it's not everything. It's like,
- 15:11Speaker 2: I think the great thing about getting older is understanding
- 15:14Speaker 2: when and where to have those lines, you know what
- 15:17Speaker 2: I mean.
- 15:18Speaker 3: And she might have tapped out on her reading source.
- 15:20Speaker 3: I mean, if she voted for Trump, how many books
- 15:22Speaker 3: could she really get?
- 15:23Speaker 1: Hustle down? Trump supporters read too? Okay, well, yeah, c
- 15:27Speaker 1: spot run.
- 15:29Speaker 2: They won't be reading for long though, because there'll be
- 15:30Speaker 2: no books left to read.
- 15:31Speaker 1: So there's that.
- 15:33Speaker 2: There's that reassurance to the other girls.
- 15:35Speaker 1: You can tell the progressive that.
- 15:37Speaker 2: But anyway, Yeah, I appreciate your call, and I appreciate
- 15:39Speaker 2: what you're saying, and I understand, but I think you
- 15:41Speaker 2: should let this one go and like focus on that
- 15:45Speaker 2: principle that you have in a in a more constructive
- 15:48Speaker 2: in other areas of your life where it will be
- 15:51Speaker 2: met with the same thing.
- 15:53Speaker 5: Yeah, No, I appreciate it. Thank you, Chelsea. Catherine gokay
- 15:56Speaker 5: again in your book next in our.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Book clubat great Well, she should read that, you know,
- 16:02Speaker 2: bring it back for that.
- 16:03Speaker 5: Yeah, last book from Texas when we take.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Care by bye.
- 16:12Speaker 4: One of the funniest things about the MAGA contingent for
- 16:15Speaker 4: me is like, like this woman, they won, and they're
- 16:18Speaker 4: still fucking crying about it, like they're still feeling like
- 16:21Speaker 4: a victim.
- 16:22Speaker 1: I don't get.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Because I mean the fact that anybody it's for me,
- 16:26Speaker 3: it's been almost mum is the word. But maybe, like
- 16:28Speaker 3: Chelsea said, anybody gonna say nothing to me about Voo,
- 16:31Speaker 3: But I like, people are scared to say anything. I
- 16:34Speaker 3: haven't heard anybody speaking Spanish and at least what since
- 16:37Speaker 3: January people scared to speak is Spanish. I'm telling you,
- 16:41Speaker 3: they don't know what's going to happen. They send it
- 16:43Speaker 3: people to L Salvador. It's from Maryland, and shit, I'm
- 16:46Speaker 3: from Maryland. Next thing, you know, I bet an L Salvador.
- 16:49Speaker 3: I mean it's a rough time, you know what I mean.
- 16:51Speaker 3: And so she's she's fortunate. This woman is fortunate that
- 16:55Speaker 3: she has the luxury to concern herself with the feelings
- 17:01Speaker 3: of a Trump supporter.
- 17:02Speaker 1: I don't have that.
- 17:03Speaker 3: And this time, what it means to be maga is
- 17:05Speaker 3: to it means to be supporting white supremacy, you know,
- 17:10Speaker 3: stopping a lot of stuff it's very bad times with people,
- 17:13Speaker 3: especially people of color, and I can't be playing around
- 17:17Speaker 3: with anybody that's over there supporting it, because that means
- 17:19Speaker 3: you have no regard for my life or whatever I
- 17:22Speaker 3: got going on. You want to do nothing but take
- 17:23Speaker 3: from me. I can't be around that. You're dangerous to be.
- 17:25Speaker 3: You're a predator.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree with you. I mean, i'm with I'm
- 17:28Speaker 2: kind of like, I don't have time for it. I'm
- 17:30Speaker 2: not talking, I just don't have time for that. It's
- 17:32Speaker 2: too ugly out right now. It's too ugly, and people
- 17:34Speaker 2: are being like, what's happening is unforgivable, it's disgusting. So no,
- 17:40Speaker 2: I'm not interested in hearing especially Maga.
- 17:43Speaker 1: You know like that.
- 17:45Speaker 2: That's like another level of fuck off.
- 17:49Speaker 1: So you're right though, anyway, this shit, let's wrap it up.
- 17:52Speaker 1: That was a long minisode.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Sure, I feel like longer than a shower.
- 17:57Speaker 1: Okay, don't say that that means you to enjoy me.
- 18:00Speaker 2: I always enjoy you, of course I do. I just
- 18:03Speaker 2: I hate thinking about all this stuff all.
- 18:05Speaker 1: The time, dude, And why do you do it so well? Though?
- 18:07Speaker 2: You give that I just you know, I just the
- 18:08Speaker 2: Maga thing really upsets me, like it fucking brings me down,
- 18:12Speaker 2: like that people are so fucking far removed, you know,
- 18:15Speaker 2: Like that's the idea that somebody's too liberal, and the
- 18:18Speaker 2: idea that like being open minded and aware of like the.
- 18:22Speaker 1: Future is a bad thing.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Saying yes to trans people is a bad thing, like
- 18:28Speaker 2: like history has shown us over and over again, especially
- 18:33Speaker 2: like there's this contingency of gay people who are not
- 18:36Speaker 2: pro trans and it's like, I find that you.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Got gay people who are racist.
- 18:40Speaker 3: Listen, what I keep telling you is this, Chelsea, It's
- 18:44Speaker 3: like this right, this is a prime example. It's not you.
- 18:48Speaker 3: You want to do certain things, you want the doubt
- 18:50Speaker 3: to move. But I keep telling you, we got to
- 18:52Speaker 3: have these conversations because there's a lot of dumb motherfuckers
- 18:55Speaker 3: out here.
- 18:55Speaker 1: That don't get it.
- 18:56Speaker 3: And more importantly, the worst part is some of them
- 18:59Speaker 3: get that what they're doing is racist or homophobic or
- 19:02Speaker 3: all of this shit, and they just don't care because
- 19:06Speaker 3: it's not them.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Do you understand?
- 19:08Speaker 3: People are very selfish and that's when the conversations have
- 19:11Speaker 3: to keep being had.
- 19:12Speaker 1: And yeah, it, where's you out? I get it?
- 19:14Speaker 3: You get tired, I'm your Hey, I'm doing my part.
- 19:16Speaker 3: I'm not over here being a racist asshole, But imagine now,
- 19:20Speaker 3: you gotta live as a person that has to navigate
- 19:22Speaker 3: around people with mental disorders of race being racist.
- 19:26Speaker 1: That's uncomfortable.
- 19:27Speaker 2: That is a mental disorder. That's a great, great way
- 19:31Speaker 2: to frame it. Racism is a mental disorder. If you
- 19:34Speaker 2: really believe Wait not laughing.
- 19:38Speaker 1: It's true. It's fucking mental disorder.
- 19:40Speaker 2: If you really believe someone who has a different skin
- 19:43Speaker 2: color is less valuable, that is a mental disorder.
- 19:47Speaker 3: A mental disorder, and starting bye bye, bye bye.
- 19:53Speaker 6: So I added a couple of new dates. I'm not
- 19:56Speaker 6: on tour yet, but I added a couple of dance
- 19:58Speaker 6: just because I felt like we need a little bit
- 20:00Speaker 6: more laughter and a little bit more medicine for the
- 20:02Speaker 6: end of the year. And I was wrapping things up,
- 20:05Speaker 6: but I thought, maybe let me do a couple more.
- 20:06Speaker 6: So I'm adding three more dates in addition to my
- 20:09Speaker 6: Vegas residency. I'm doing Westhampton Beach August twenty first, I'm
- 20:13Speaker 6: headlining the Rochester Fringe Comedy Festival September thirteenth, and I
- 20:18Speaker 6: will be in NAPA on October third, So those will
- 20:22Speaker 6: be my last dates.
