- 0:00Hi everyone, welcome to Mini Scroll, the daily Internet
- 0:04culture podcast bringing you the biggest stories from social
- 0:07media, the creator economy and the digital space.
- 0:10Every Monday through Thursday and sometimes Fridays.
- 0:13I'm your host, Lauren Meisner, the founder of the Australian
- 0:16youth digital media brand Centennial World.
- 0:20Welcome back to Mini Scroll, everyone.
- 0:22All right, I don't think I have any updates for you guys.
- 0:25So Please remember to rate, review and subscribe.
- 0:28Please Spotify star rate US, join our Patreon, sign up to our
- 0:31newsletter, all that good stuff. And let's just get into the
- 0:35stories for today. OK, The first story that I have
- 0:37for you guys today, of course, I had to talk about how Tricia
- 0:40Paytas is releasing A memoir. So Tricia Paytas is officially
- 0:45publishing A memoir titled Crying on the Kitchen Floor.
- 0:50Iconic. OK, so Tricia announced the news
- 0:52yesterday on her socials on Instagram.
- 0:55She posted a series of photos and videos about the book
- 0:57writing in the caption quote, she's a published author.
- 1:00My first official memoir, Crying on the Kitchen Floor is
- 1:02available now for pre-order. Oh, this is going to be good.
- 1:05The thing I'm most proud of on TikTok, she posted that the book
- 1:09will be out on November 11th and pre-orders have already started.
- 1:12Isn't November also when Sophia Franklin's memoir about Call Her
- 1:15Daddy comes out? That's going to be a very good
- 1:17month. So she said in the videos that
- 1:18there will be a lot of stories she hasn't told before, even if
- 1:21you have followed her for years. Let me read a little bit of the
- 1:25overview for you guys. Quote and crying on the kitchen
- 1:27floor. Tricia sets out to answer this
- 1:29question once and for all by opening up like never before.
- 1:32She recounts in vivid, shocking detail how an insatiable need
- 1:35for fame LED a quiet girl from the suburbs to life on the seedy
- 1:40streets of Hollywood. From dangerous encounters with
- 1:42potential serial killers to abusive relationships with
- 1:45former child stars, infinite reality TV cameos and ultimately
- 1:50taking over the Internet, Trisha's desperate search for
- 1:53identity nearly cost her everything.
- 1:55Yet after decades spent battling mental health issues and
- 1:58weathering endless cancellations, she somehow
- 2:01managed to fight her way to the high ground as the world she
- 2:04helped build transformed beneath her feet.
- 2:07That gives me chills. So other details we have so far
- 2:11are that it seems to be 256 pages and it's published by
- 2:14Grand Central Publishing, an imprint of Hachette.
- 2:18Now, Tricia has authored books before including the Stripper
- 2:21Diaries, The History of My Insanity, 101 Poems about My
- 2:25ex-boyfriend, Curvy and Loving It, among others.
- 2:28But these were all published in the 20 tens.
- 2:30So obviously a lot has happened since then.
- 2:33You guys know, I was like an OOG Tricia fan.
- 2:37And then, you know, she lost me for several years in there.
- 2:40I had to unfollow her. I couldn't keep watching her.
- 2:43I could not support her. And I mean, I'm going to say
- 2:46even after all of that, I know she's having this like
- 2:49Renaissance, but I just, I have never been able to feel the same
- 2:53way about her. However, like I said, I was an
- 2:56OOG fan and I actually bought the Stripper Diaries.
- 2:59I think I bought it in like 2013, 2014.
- 3:02And I loved that book. I think there was something
- 3:05going on online years ago where people found out she'd either
- 3:08like made these stories up or taken them from someone else,
- 3:11something like that. But regardless, I actually did
- 3:13own the Stripper Diaries in hard copy back in the day.
- 3:16OK, so the reaction to the memoir has been mixed.
- 3:19As with everything Tricia Paytas related, fans are very proud to
- 3:23see how far she's come. Many are speculating that the
- 3:26final cover of the memoir will actually be like her with her
- 3:29family on the kitchen floor, which I think would be kind of
- 3:32cute. Meanwhile, there's lots of
- 3:34people who still question why Tricia should be afforded a
- 3:37platform like this. I think there's no denying that
- 3:39Tricia's life has been incredibly unique and turbulent
- 3:42and challenging and amazing, I'm sure in some ways as well.
- 3:46I hope she gets into a lot of things, including several
- 3:51scandals and controversies that maybe would be the opportunity
- 3:55for her to like properly address these things.
- 3:57I don't know. I'm not really holding my breath
- 3:59on that, but we'll see. All right, Speaking of
- 4:01influencer projects, I just need to quickly mention that Alex
- 4:05Earl's new brand has been released.
- 4:07It is called Real Actives. OK, so first of all, the
- 4:10speculation and sleuthing was correct.
- 4:11The brand is called Real Actives.
- 4:14People are kind of disappointed in the name saying that they
- 4:16feel like that would be a better name for activewear.
- 4:19And I completely agree. Real Actives does not sound like
- 4:22an exciting skin care brand that I want to try.
- 4:25But I also understand it's because I think she's trying to
- 4:27genuinely build up that reputation of like a quality
- 4:31skin care product as opposed to just another quote UN quote like
- 4:34influencer skin care brand. So the brand is billed as a new
- 4:37standard for acne prone skin and it's officially launching on
- 4:40March 31st. There are four products in the
- 4:43launch Get Bear and Make Melting Cleanser, Balm, Poor Power, a
- 4:46gel cleanser, Go Deep and 8% mandelic acid serum concentrate
- 4:51and Do More, a barrier boosting moisturizer.
- 4:54On Instagram, Alex wrote quote Keeping this a secret for the
- 4:57past 2 1/2 years has been nearly impossible.
- 5:00My dream for this brand is not only to provide you with amazing
- 5:03products for your skin but to change the way people think
- 5:05about skin imperfections. A huge pillar for this brand is
- 5:09to do no skin retouching on any photos or models so that we can
- 5:13see real skin, real texture, real pores, real scarring,
- 5:16etcetera. Over the years I've learned that
- 5:18we are our own worst enemy when it comes to our self esteem due
- 5:22to the state of our skin, and Real Actives is here to change
- 5:25that. The Real Actives Instagram
- 5:27account has over 500,000 followers already because it did
- 5:30transition from the what the fuck is Alex doing Instagram
- 5:33account to this. Such a good strategy.
- 5:36I mean this is going to sell out of course regardless of how
- 5:38people feel about this. She has such a huge platform, so
- 5:41much influence. Absolutely.
- 5:43I think that this will be successful.
- 5:44I also found out that it is under the same incubator as
- 5:48Michaela Noguera's POV beauty, which is interesting.
- 5:52All right, the next story that I have for you guys today, another
- 5:54little update here, but the security guard involved in the
- 5:57Chapel Ron and Georginio situation has spoken out about
- 6:00his side of the story. So the security guard's name is
- 6:03Pascal Duvier and he posted a statement on his Instagram.
- 6:07He took accountability for the situation and clarified that he
- 6:10was not part of Chapel's team. I take full responsibility for
- 6:13the interactions. On March 21st, I was at the
- 6:16hotel on behalf of another individual and I was not part of
- 6:19the personal security team of Chapel Roan.
- 6:21The actions I took were not on behalf of Chapel, Roan, her
- 6:24personal security team, her management, or any other
- 6:26individuals. I made a judgement call based on
- 6:29information we obtained from the hotel, events I had witnessed in
- 6:32the days prior, and the heightened overall security risk
- 6:34of our location. My sole interaction with the
- 6:37mother was calm and with good intentions, and the outcome of
- 6:40the encounter is regretful. This is really interesting.
- 6:43I need to understand more about who he was there for and why
- 6:47because in Catherine's statement she was like he was not hotel
- 6:50security but her statement implied that he was related to
- 6:54Chapel because she said he was like there on behalf of music
- 6:57management or something like that.
- 6:59So I don't know, but I need to know if he was asked to make
- 7:05this statement or how this all went down.
- 7:08Because if I was him and the decision that I made in my job
- 7:12was literally being talked about and blasted like all over the
- 7:16Internet internationally and these huge A list celebrities
- 7:20were involved, I would be hiding under a fucking rock.
- 7:23I would be so scared to make this statement to look good on
- 7:26him. But also I need to know did he
- 7:29make this decision himself? Was Chapel's team Like, I don't
- 7:33know, threatening or pressuring him or I, I don't know.
- 7:36I need to know. I wish that we had a bit more
- 7:38context, but I guess Chapel statement, no matter how we felt
- 7:41about it, I guess it was correct.
- 7:43She was like, this was not my personal security guard.
- 7:46I didn't know what was happening.
- 7:47I know it was a bit of a controversial opinion for me to
- 7:50say that I thought that Georginio was like overreacting
- 7:53in his Instagram stories. I know he was a protective dad,
- 7:55but I still stand by it that he should have handled that
- 7:58privately. If he had a big issue with
- 8:00something that an A list celebrity, him as a celebrity
- 8:03himself in the public eye. If he has an issue with how this
- 8:06something was handled, then I still believe he should have
- 8:09reached out to her personally or someone on her team or whatever.
- 8:12Like there's definitely ways that they could have figured out
- 8:14how to get in touch. Blasting her publicly like that,
- 8:17I think was inappropriate. I stand by that.
- 8:19I stand by that. OK, the next story that I have
- 8:21for you guys is that Shane Dawson's videographer and
- 8:24editor, Andrew Sawicki has started his own YouTube channel.
- 8:27And this is like the most millennial story of all time,
- 8:29OK. But I saw his video come up on
- 8:31my Explorer last night and I was like Andrew and I was like,
- 8:34wait, what? How do I know that name?
- 8:36And then I'm like, how is this somebody'd first YouTube video?
- 8:39Like I was so confused. And then I realized who it was
- 8:42and what I was watching and I was like, Oh my God.
- 8:44And of course millennial like Reddit and YouTube and tick tock
- 8:47is exploding and just losing their minds over this.
- 8:50So Andrew was super famous online for a time, especially
- 8:54during Shane Dawson's documentary era.
- 8:56He was often the man behind the camera and helped produce
- 8:58conspiracy theories with Shane Dawson, The Truth About Tanacon,
- 9:02and the Secret World of Jeffree Star.
- 9:04Andrew and Shane reportedly separated professionally in 2020
- 9:08around Shane's mass cancellation.
- 9:10Fans later noticed when Andrew had updated his bio to remove
- 9:13any association with Shane and started working with the talent
- 9:17agency instead. Since then, Andrew has continued
- 9:20to work alongside Garrett Watts, who was also a friend of Shane
- 9:23and in a lot of his content, but later distance himself from him
- 9:27as well. So yesterday Andrew posted his
- 9:29first ever YouTube video himself titled I Did Not Want to Make
- 9:32This Video, and in the video he talks about how he's made many
- 9:35YouTube videos over the past decade but has never made his
- 9:38own channel like his own video for himself until now.
- 9:41The video is so cinematic, and I feel like in this era of
- 9:45nostalgia and especially like millennial nostalgia, this is
- 9:48the right move. People are going to follow him.
- 9:50People are going to be so excited to see this.
- 9:52Oh my God. I really hope he talks a little
- 9:54bit more about that era of his career.
- 9:56I feel like he won't. I feel like that's not really
- 9:58the vibe that I get from him, that he would, like air his
- 10:00dirty laundry. He seems like a pretty private
- 10:03person. But I would love to know more
- 10:05about what that experience was like working with Shane and
- 10:08helping carve out this new, I suppose like genre of content on
- 10:12YouTube that was so insanely successful.
- 10:15OK, the last word that I have for you guys today is the
- 10:17girlfriend of Jamie Campbell Bower, who plays Vecna in
- 10:21Stranger Things. He also plays other things, but
- 10:23most notably recently, he played Vecna in Stranger Things.
- 10:26She's going viral for exposing her anonymous Reddit.
- 10:32So this actually happened a couple of days ago and I
- 10:34screenshotted it. I think I've told you guys this
- 10:36before, but the way that I curate mini stories is I
- 10:39literally just like keep screenshots in my phone when I
- 10:41see things. And so I screenshotted this and
- 10:43I don't even know it just got lost in my screenshots.
- 10:45I feel like this keeps happening and I was telling Annabelle and
- 10:47she's like, we need to come up with a better system so that
- 10:50doesn't keep happening. And I was like, I know girl.
- 10:52She really keeps me in check. It's the Capricorn and I'm a
- 10:54Sagittarius so like, that makes sense.
- 10:56Anyway, so I screenshotted this and I wanted to cover it when it
- 10:59happened a few days ago but I just forgot because they got
- 11:02lost so we're covering it today. Jamie's girlfriend is Elena
- 11:05Tabor, and she's a content creator known for her fashion,
- 11:09travel, lifestyle content. Rumors of the couple first
- 11:12started circulating in April 2025 when Dumois posted a
- 11:15picture of the two together. Since then, the couple have
- 11:17appeared on each other's socials.
- 11:19They've walked red carpets together, they've attended
- 11:21events together, like they're together.
- 11:23But now it seems that Elena has accidentally exposed herself.
- 11:26In a post on R/NYC Influencer Snark, a user took to the
- 11:30subreddit asking for Quote Elena Tabor updates question mark
- 11:34saying that they hadn't kept up with Elena but wanted someone to
- 11:37talk about her and her relationship with Quote.
- 11:39This relationship isn't new news but I need someone to talk about
- 11:42this with. I haven't kept up with her as
- 11:44much but she used to be one of my favorites back in the day and
- 11:47I keep seeing her pop up with Jamie Campbell Bower and it's so
- 11:49crazy to me. I loved her vibe alongside Moya,
- 11:52Moini and Marguli and those girls who seem cool and kind
- 11:56etcetera. She seemed to be one of the few
- 11:58influencers who at least attempted a level of more
- 12:01researched slash interesting content like the history lessons
- 12:05or the financial education or just traveling to more unique
- 12:07parts of the world and showing the culture by connecting with
- 12:10locals. Even if a bit pseudo
- 12:12intellectual sometimes. I really appreciate that there
- 12:15was more substance than so many of the other New York City
- 12:18consumerism final boss influencers I follow.
- 12:20I kind of stopped keeping up with as much as she left NYC for
- 12:23Paris but she doesn't seem to post as much and maybe has gone
- 12:26more private because of her relationship.
- 12:29It's insane seeing so much unhinged hate she gets for
- 12:32existing and dating someone famous.
- 12:34I saw this TikTok recently and I'm like damn this would suck.
- 12:38So this post link to TikTok and then users on Reddit notice that
- 12:43when they clicked the link on the TikTok it came up that
- 12:47Eleanor Tabor's account shared the TikTok.
- 12:50So you know when you click on a TikTok and it will tell you who
- 12:53has shared that link. So it said that her official
- 12:55account the link. So the post was quickly deleted
- 12:58from the Stark Reddit and so has the account that posted it.
- 13:03So assuming this was Elena's account, Reddit users
- 13:07immediately went to see the other comments that she has
- 13:09allegedly made through this Reddit account.
- 13:12And apparently this account had made comments about other
- 13:14creators and celebrities who Elena might even be friends
- 13:18with. Creator Katie Inc posted a video
- 13:20covering the situation and she mentioned Coco Schiffer as an
- 13:23example. The account had commented on a
- 13:25post about her on Reddit questioning whether she had
- 13:28bought most of her followers and paid APR agency to get her
- 13:31invited to event. OK so of course the general
- 13:33sentiment is that if this is true, if this was actually Alana
- 13:38Tabor's Reddit account and she made this post about herself and
- 13:42then she linked this TikTok. Like of course that's incredibly
- 13:45embarrassing. Somebody said they would torch
- 13:47their phone if this was them. And now some are believing that
- 13:51she has possibly hired APR agency or paid for bots. 2 flood
- 13:55posts on subreddits that have quote UN quote exposed her.
- 13:58So one Reddit user made a post on the R/LA influencer snark
- 14:01subreddit saying that in 30 minutes they had received more
- 14:04than 10 comments saying the exact same thing, with many of
- 14:07them defending her. I will say every once in a
- 14:10while, I feel like TikTok does kind of mess up.
- 14:14Like I don't know if you guys are ever scrolling and like
- 14:15every once in a while they'll be like some a list celebrity or
- 14:17like a huge influencer and it'll be like people you may know.
- 14:20And I think we used to believe, or maybe this was originally the
- 14:24case that the people you may know was because they were like
- 14:27usually contacts in your phone. And I'm like, OK, I don't know,
- 14:30like that person like I don't know Billie Eilish, like why is
- 14:33she coming up for me as like people I may know.
- 14:35So I feel like every once in awhile TikTok is not completely
- 14:38accurate, but the fact that this Reddit user account was also
- 14:42deleted after people were like, Oh my God, is this Ellen Tabor
- 14:45posting for herself? I think that's a little bit SUS.
- 14:48But honestly, maybe she just needed like a little bit of
- 14:51hype, you know? Maybe she just needed to see a
- 14:53subreddit thread of people saying she's amazing, we love
- 14:57her, she inspires me. If you are somewhat of a public
- 15:02figure in your own right, you're building your own career and
- 15:04then you get into a relationship with somebody who like
- 15:05absolutely takes off. That probably is kind of hard,
- 15:09you know, So maybe she just needed a little confidence boost
- 15:12and she thought, I'm going to take to Reddit.
- 15:13I'm going to like say some nice things about me, see what people
- 15:15say. And then unfortunately, possibly
- 15:17all blew up in her face. Anyways, guys, that's it for
- 15:20mini scroll today. Thank you so much for listening.
- 15:22I love you guys. Please remember to rate review
- 15:24and subscribe. Please Spotify star rate US and
- 15:27tomorrow there will be a deep dive.
- 15:30Pray for me. We are in.
- 15:32Yeah, Annabelle just said allegedly we are in deep dive
- 15:37editing hell. Anyways, I will talk to you guys
- 15:41for another mini on Monday. OK bye.
