  Speaker 1: It's still.
• 0:15
Speaker 2: Welcome everybody. Welcome to this week's edition this No Realda
• 0:20
Speaker 2: Show EPISO number seven and seventy one for November twenty first,
• 0:24
Speaker 2: twenty twenty four. Welcome to your aw full year preview
• 0:28
Speaker 2: and Predictions edition of f RT.
• 0:32
  Speaker 1: You.
• 0:33
Speaker 2: I am one half the show. I am Jeff Peck
• 0:36
Speaker 2: joined every single week my coast one only doctor Trey Franklin,
• 0:40
Speaker 2: Doctor Trey. I felt like this was the first time
• 0:41
Speaker 2: I did a normal introduction again, my friend.
• 0:44
Speaker 3: I know there was part of me that felt so
• 0:46
Speaker 3: bad for the listeners because the last few weeks you've
• 0:48
Speaker 3: kind of struggled on the welcome part. But yeah, no,
• 0:52
Speaker 3: you sound great. I was you were talking off here.
• 0:54
Speaker 3: I feel horrible. I feel completely under the weather. So
• 0:58
Speaker 3: I blame myself for kind of semi mocking.
• 1:01
  Speaker 1: You to myself.
• 1:04
Speaker 3: But you know, between you being sick and then having
• 1:07
Speaker 3: you know, Luke throw up all over you right before
• 1:09
Speaker 3: last week's show, you've had it rough. So I guess
• 1:12
Speaker 3: this is my this is my karmic retribution coming back
• 1:15
Speaker 3: on me for you know, just kind of like laughing
• 1:18
Speaker 3: quietly to myself about your your struggles the last couple
• 1:21
  Speaker 3: of weeks.
• 1:21
Speaker 2: It all comes back in different ways. My friend, I
• 1:24
Speaker 2: actually like remember doing the intro of the last two
• 1:27
Speaker 2: weeks and it's like does my voice have enough to
• 1:30
Speaker 2: get there? And it would get there, but it's undlike shit.
• 1:33
Speaker 2: So I apologize to everybody. We pushed through here seven
• 1:36
Speaker 2: and seventy one straight weeks of SRTU and you know,
• 1:39
Speaker 2: can't miss it. So here we are. We're an injured
• 1:42
Speaker 2: bunch here on srt you each and every week, and
• 1:45
Speaker 2: we are racking up the doctor's bills between Doctor Trey
• 1:48
Speaker 2: and I just on sicknesses alone, all the other stuff, surgeries, whatever,
• 1:52
Speaker 2: you that's a whole nother bucket for another, a whole
• 1:55
Speaker 2: nother day. Welcome to this week's edition of sr T
• 1:59
  Speaker 2: It's it's not I said, Doctor Try and I are
• 2:01
Speaker 2: here talking with one other that Packers and Niners. Our
• 2:04
Speaker 2: teams are going into a big show down this weekend.
• 2:07
Speaker 2: It is in November and not in January, where January
• 2:11
Speaker 2: Doctor Tray's team typically kicks the ass of my team,
• 2:14
Speaker 2: the Green Bay Packers. But here we are in November.
• 2:16
Speaker 2: Dot Tray and I are are. We're on good terms
• 2:19
Speaker 2: right now, right going into this. There's no beef here
• 2:21
  Speaker 2: there's no feud.
• 2:23
Speaker 3: No, I mean, I think we're good because all in all,
• 2:25
Speaker 3: the biggest thing about the season, like, look, there's a
• 2:28
Speaker 3: competitive rivalry between Packers and Niners.
• 2:30
  Speaker 1: I don't think there's a hatred.
• 2:32
Speaker 3: But the Cowboys suck this year, which I think makes
• 2:35
  Speaker 3: everybody happy.
• 2:36
Speaker 2: See, that's always the one that for those that are
• 2:38
Speaker 2: not an NFL fans, football fans, American football fans, and
• 2:40
Speaker 2: my apologies, but for those that are, you're gonna get
• 2:42
Speaker 2: what I'm saying is you could have a rival, semi
• 2:46
Speaker 2: rival because I think Niners and Packers I liked this
• 2:50
  Speaker 2: semi rivalry.
• 2:52
  Speaker 1: It's like a B plus. It's like a B plus rivalry.
• 2:55
Speaker 2: I think it's always on respect and it's as long
• 2:58
Speaker 2: as I've remembered this rival read Doctor Trey. It's there
• 3:01
Speaker 2: was a period of time where the Niners dominated, then
• 3:04
Speaker 2: there was a stretch of time where the Packers dominated,
• 3:06
Speaker 2: and right now we're in the stretch of time where
• 3:08
Speaker 2: the Niners have dominated, like the last ten years. And
• 3:10
Speaker 2: that's not typically how a rivalry goes. So I would
• 3:13
Speaker 2: just say it's like one of those showdowns you get
• 3:15
Speaker 2: excited about, Like even me outside looking in speaking about
• 3:18
Speaker 2: your Niners. Whenever I see Cowboys versus Niners, I'm like,
• 3:22
Speaker 2: that's exciting because that reminds me of the nostalgic football
• 3:25
Speaker 2: when I was growing up. Packers Cowboys, Packers, Niners. I
• 3:28
Speaker 2: feel like it's a triple threat. And as doctor Trey
• 3:31
Speaker 2: pointed out to while there may be a healthy respect
• 3:34
Speaker 2: and rivalry between the Green Bay Packers and the San
• 3:37
Speaker 2: Francisco forty nine Ers, us the Niners fans and all
• 3:40
Speaker 2: the other NFL fans can all agree upon we hate
• 3:43
  Speaker 2: those Cowboys.
• 3:44
Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean there was a time when I was
• 3:48
Speaker 3: growing up in Heisland, Arkansas, like everybody Arkansas's a Cowboys fan,
• 3:52
Speaker 3: and I felt like I was on an island unto
• 3:53
Speaker 3: myself because every and as also like during the late
• 3:57
Speaker 3: nineties when they were fantastic and just dealing with that.
• 4:00
Speaker 3: But then the last thirty years, basically since about ninety
• 4:04
Speaker 3: five ninety six through now, it's been great. But yeah,
• 4:07
Speaker 3: whenever I don't want to see him to get hurt,
• 4:09
Speaker 3: but you know, Dak goes down, backups come in and
• 4:12
Speaker 3: you're just like, yeah, they're really struggling.
• 4:16
Speaker 1: This is the best time to kind of beat up
• 4:17
  Speaker 1: on Cowboys. Fans.
• 4:18
Speaker 3: So I'm like, the only thing I can ever troll
• 4:20
Speaker 3: Packers fans on right now is well, you're well, as
• 4:25
Speaker 3: I go, well, your coach came from our coach's coaching tree,
• 4:28
Speaker 3: so it was kay, yeah, it's like, well, yeah, you're
• 4:31
Speaker 3: you're good because your coach came from our team. So
• 4:35
Speaker 3: that's why you guys are so good right now. And
• 4:37
Speaker 3: you know, the best quarterback you guys had the last
• 4:39
Speaker 3: twenty years grew up as a Niners fan. So those
• 4:43
Speaker 3: are the two things I can always kind of troll
• 4:45
Speaker 3: Packers fans with for the most part, but other than that,
• 4:47
Speaker 3: I actually respect. Like I've been to Green Bay, it
• 4:51
Speaker 3: is not a comfortable place to be at times. So
• 4:54
Speaker 3: the fact that people show up fifty sixty seventy thousand
• 4:58
Speaker 3: fans to a Packers game in like negative twenty, Yeah,
• 5:03
Speaker 3: you guys always have my respect.
• 5:05
Speaker 2: For that counterpoints to doctor Trey. They are saying that
• 5:08
Speaker 2: our best quarterback the last twenty years grew up a
• 5:10
Speaker 2: Niners fan. I do want to mention that the Niners
• 5:13
Speaker 2: did pass on that same quarterback for Alex Smith.
• 5:16
Speaker 3: Yes, I recall it, but that was also not our fault.
• 5:19
Speaker 3: That was the Jeff Tedford effector all the cal quarterbacks
• 5:22
Speaker 3: coming into the league sucked.
• 5:25
  Speaker 1: So we're like, well, we'll take a chance on a
• 5:26
  Speaker 1: guy from.
• 5:27
Speaker 3: Utah because that's how bad Kyle Boehler was in the
• 5:30
  Speaker 3: previous couple drafts.
• 5:32
Speaker 2: And despite the Niners playing in more Super Bowls than
• 5:34
Speaker 2: the Kareema Packers in the last twenty five thirty years,
• 5:37
Speaker 2: Green Bay has won more.
• 5:38
Speaker 3: Doctor Trey, Yes, yes, and that's only well, well, do
• 5:41
Speaker 3: we count the do you guys count the AFL championships
• 5:44
  Speaker 3: and stuff?
• 5:45
  Speaker 1: Well, they do.
• 5:46
Speaker 2: They are references thirteen time world champions in the Super
• 5:50
Speaker 2: Bowl era. Yeah, I mean they're five time champions, but
• 5:54
Speaker 2: we have five also, champions Championships are championships, right, yeah.
• 6:00
Speaker 3: So but then you guys have been around for longer,
• 6:02
Speaker 3: because up until about the mid sixties, San Francisco is
• 6:06
Speaker 3: not a real place.
• 6:07
Speaker 2: No, no, it wasn't. We just discovered in the sixties.
• 6:11
Speaker 2: Speaking of wrestling talk, let's let's tie this all in.
• 6:14
Speaker 2: So we're talking about the Dallas Cowboys who play in
• 6:16
Speaker 2: at and T Stadium, which is also the home of
• 6:18
Speaker 2: WrestleMania thirty eight. I saw a funny statistic this past weekend.
• 6:23
Speaker 2: Doctor Trey Jake Paul, the brother of Logan Paul, former
• 6:26
Speaker 2: w United States Champion who took on WWE Hall of
• 6:29
Speaker 2: Famer Mike Tyson in a boxing match, now has more
• 6:35
Speaker 2: wins in AT and T Stadium this year than the
• 6:37
  Speaker 2: Dallas Cowboys.
• 6:39
Speaker 1: So does the Texas A and M.
• 6:40
Speaker 2: Maggie's for there you go, Gigam.
• 6:42
Speaker 3: I learned that one from the radio show you and
• 6:46
Speaker 3: I were talking about Haffe or the Colon or the
• 6:48
Speaker 3: Macroy and Kublic show. That was one of the fancy
• 6:50
Speaker 3: stats they threw out because Texas A and M in
• 6:53
Speaker 3: Texas is a big game coming up, I think next Saturday.
• 6:58
Speaker 3: But yeah, they're like, yeah, Texas AM actually has more
• 7:00
Speaker 3: wins in AT and T Stadium than the Cowboys do
• 7:02
  Speaker 3: this year.
• 7:03
Speaker 2: Did you watch the Fight Doctor try to have Netflix? Yes?
• 7:05
  Speaker 1: I did so.
• 7:06
Speaker 3: By the way, how cool is it that in one
• 7:08
Speaker 3: year we've had two Hall of Famers be in two big,
• 7:13
Speaker 3: big events non restling related. You have one Hall of
• 7:16
Speaker 3: Famer running for president and one Hall of Famer fighting
• 7:19
  Speaker 3: Jake Paul.
• 7:20
Speaker 2: Crazy Yeah, one Hall of Famer who is a two
• 7:23
Speaker 2: time winner of an election. Now and his countinate is
• 7:27
Speaker 2: going to be filled with the now separated wife of
• 7:30
Speaker 2: the former founder, CEO and chairman of the board of
• 7:33
Speaker 2: World rest Entertainment One, Linda McMahon remembered to be in
• 7:37
Speaker 2: the Department of Education. But you know how this goes.
• 7:39
Speaker 2: We don't talk politics nor religion here at this dinner table,
• 7:43
  Speaker 2: that is SRTU.
• 7:46
Speaker 3: I do have one funny thing about that. So as
• 7:48
Speaker 3: I got home from work today, they were mentioning Linda
• 7:52
Speaker 3: McMahon being probably going to be nominated by Trump to
• 7:54
Speaker 3: head that department. The people on the news mispronounced her
• 7:58
Speaker 3: last name man macmahone. Never I've never heard it called that,
• 8:06
Speaker 3: but they referenced her as Linda mcmahone three times and
• 8:10
Speaker 3: then mentioned her husband, Vince. And it's all because of
• 8:14
Speaker 3: the lawsuit and things like that.
• 8:16
  Speaker 1: But I was I'm.
• 8:17
Speaker 3: Sitting here like egregiously offended that the news mispronounced McMahon
• 8:23
Speaker 3: and called it macmahone.
• 8:25
Speaker 1: I was like, you're not even close. You quit the
• 8:29
Speaker 1: news at this point.
• 8:30
Speaker 2: I thought you were going to say they pronounced it
• 8:31
Speaker 2: like Gerald Briscoe did back in the days of US
• 8:34
Speaker 2: War in the late nineties.
• 8:35
Speaker 3: Mister MacMahon, we're not that southern on the news. But yeah,
• 8:40
  Speaker 3: it's just hearing macmahone. I was like, I I because
• 8:44
Speaker 3: I wasn't even kind of it was like the news
• 8:46
Speaker 3: was on, the sound was on, but I wasn't really
• 8:48
Speaker 3: watching it. And then I heard Linda mcmahone. I'm like, macmahone,
• 8:52
Speaker 3: what the had to turn in? There she was, and
• 8:54
Speaker 3: I'm like, please, don't do that again. Please somebody correct her,
• 8:58
Speaker 3: some producer jump in and get in the earbut and
• 9:01
Speaker 3: say no, it's McMahon, it's bicmahon And I'm like, like, seriously,
• 9:05
Speaker 3: there's Jim McMahon too.
• 9:06
Speaker 1: There's other McMahon's in the world.
• 9:08
Speaker 3: This cannot be a foreig and last name that you
• 9:11
Speaker 3: have never excuse me, ever seen before. And it's just
• 9:15
Speaker 3: befuddling you to pronounce it. I've never heard it pronounced
• 9:19
Speaker 3: that way. It just it kind of made me mad,
• 9:22
Speaker 3: and I had to turn up the news and watch Netflix.
• 9:24
Speaker 2: Well, Doctor Trey, you and I are old now, so
• 9:25
Speaker 2: I think we need to do what every old person does.
• 9:28
Speaker 2: Can you go on their Facebook page and leave like
• 9:29
  Speaker 2: a nasty comment.
• 9:31
Speaker 1: I actually thought about that.
• 9:33
Speaker 3: I thought about, like, because I know some people that
• 9:35
Speaker 3: work at the station, be like, guys, seriously, do we
• 9:38
Speaker 3: need to have an annunciation class and you guys like
• 9:41
Speaker 3: to prepare the anchors, like, Hey, we're gonna do a
• 9:44
Speaker 3: story in this person. This is how you pronounce their
• 9:46
Speaker 3: name before you go on air.
• 9:48
Speaker 2: Well, you gotta love it. I mean it's so simple, right,
• 9:50
Speaker 2: I mean you're not. This isn't like crazy.
• 9:53
Speaker 3: So no, it's not like you're trying to pronounce vivek
• 9:56
Speaker 3: Ramashwami or whatever that guy's name is. This is a McMahon.
• 9:59
  Speaker 3: They've been around for quite a while. I'm sure you've
• 10:03
Speaker 3: heard of wrestling at some point in your life and
• 10:06
Speaker 3: you've heard somebody say the name Vince McMahon. How like
• 10:10
Speaker 3: it was just like when somebody says something that dumb.
• 10:12
  Speaker 3: I just I can't listen to anything else I say,
• 10:14
Speaker 3: because I'm like, you've lost all credibility by mispronouncing a
• 10:18
  Speaker 3: simple last name.
• 10:19
Speaker 2: So, speaking on Netflix, Fight there, Doctor Trace. So there
• 10:22
Speaker 2: was some news and notes there takeaways, at least for
• 10:25
Speaker 2: WWE's launch on January the sixth, for Raw one. They
• 10:28
Speaker 2: released a new logo for Raw which I think looks terrible.
• 10:32
Speaker 2: Looks like it's a Monday night baw baw. And then
• 10:36
Speaker 2: obviously were you one of the I think like five
• 10:39
Speaker 2: hundred thousand people out of sixty million, which is absurd
• 10:43
Speaker 2: that had issues with connections of watching the fight live.
• 10:47
Speaker 1: Yeah, from like early on, you can kind of.
• 10:50
Speaker 3: Tell when people tuned in, because it felt like early
• 10:53
Speaker 3: on I didn't have any issues. I got to about
• 10:56
Speaker 3: the second middle of the second fight, and it started
• 10:58
  Speaker 3: glitching in.
• 11:00
Speaker 1: And I live in the middle of nowhere, I live
• 11:03
  Speaker 1: in the country.
• 11:04
Speaker 3: I thought it was my internet connection, and then I
• 11:05
Speaker 3: checked my Facebook and I see people all over my
• 11:08
Speaker 3: Facebook feed talking about the you know, buffering and freezing out.
• 11:12
Speaker 3: I had to constantly back out and go back in
• 11:15
Speaker 3: to get to the live feeds. So, yeah, if it
• 11:17
Speaker 3: was only five hundred thousand, I'm actually surprised the number.
• 11:20
  Speaker 1: Is that low.
• 11:21
Speaker 2: Yeah, it was. I felt like it was more from
• 11:24
Speaker 2: what you saw on social media, but I think that's
• 11:25
Speaker 2: what they're reporting. So according to reports, we is obviously
• 11:29
Speaker 2: concerned about that. I don't think sixty million people will
• 11:32
Speaker 2: be watching the debut of Monday Night Roll, but I
• 11:35
Speaker 2: think it could be potentially the biggest audience of all
• 11:37
Speaker 2: time if there's a lot of hype in this show.
• 11:39
  Speaker 2: Doctor Troy.
• 11:40
Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, if you got sixty million for a
• 11:43
Speaker 3: Tyson fight, which is a nostalgia. I mean, if you say, hey,
• 11:45
Speaker 3: we're going to have if you throw other Stone called
• 11:47
Speaker 3: Steve Austin appearance for the first time Monday Row, you're
• 11:50
Speaker 3: going to draw ten to fifteen at least.
• 11:51
  Speaker 1: I think.
• 11:52
Speaker 3: I really think there's I was amazed that sixty million
• 11:55
Speaker 3: people had Netflix because that's like one out of every
• 11:57
Speaker 3: six people have it, you know, So I'm like, if
• 12:01
Speaker 3: you can draw ten million, you know, that's a huge,
• 12:04
Speaker 3: huge get for a wrestling that's as we haven't seen
• 12:08
Speaker 3: since you know, the nineties, Like that would be a
• 12:10
Speaker 3: huge number. I think the debut episode will be way
• 12:13
Speaker 3: more than their the number that they're saying that they
• 12:16
Speaker 3: get now, like what two to two point five on
• 12:19
  Speaker 3: a good raw. I think I think you'll probably triple
• 12:22
Speaker 3: that if promoted and you know, hyped the way it
• 12:26
  Speaker 3: should be.
• 12:26
Speaker 2: Yeah, I expect this to be the biggest Monday Night
• 12:29
Speaker 2: raw of all time. And because it's just the amount
• 12:31
Speaker 2: of money that Netflix has thrown out their five billion
• 12:33
Speaker 2: dollars over ten years, Like, I don't think it's out
• 12:36
Speaker 2: of the roma possibility. You said, like a stone Cold
• 12:38
Speaker 2: see Boston appearance, I don't think it's out of the
• 12:41
Speaker 2: roma possibility that the Rock is there and the Rock
• 12:44
Speaker 2: wrestles on this car. Doctor Trey.
• 12:46
Speaker 3: Yeah, I like for me, if I'm WWE for the debut,
• 12:49
Speaker 3: I'm pulling out I'm bringing up everybody that is still around.
• 12:54
Speaker 3: I'll bring in Hogan. I will find a way to
• 12:56
Speaker 3: get Flair out of his AAW contract. I'll somehow have
• 12:59
Speaker 3: Rock and Austin have an interaction in the ring. You know,
• 13:03
Speaker 3: I will pull out every bell in a whistle I
• 13:06
Speaker 3: possibly can. Because it is a transitioning not only of networks,
• 13:10
Speaker 3: but of platforms as well, So you got to make
• 13:12
Speaker 3: sure everybody knows where you're going. It's not like when
• 13:16
Speaker 3: they left USA it went to Spike and people had
• 13:19
Speaker 3: to go find them. You know, this is an entire
• 13:22
Speaker 3: platform shift and a new way of a new business
• 13:26
Speaker 3: model as well for them. So you got to make
• 13:28
Speaker 3: sure that the audience easily confined you. And right now
• 13:32
Speaker 3: you better make sure Netflix has all their stuff tighten
• 13:34
Speaker 3: up so you don't go through what they went through
• 13:36
Speaker 3: with the Tyson Paul flight.
• 13:37
Speaker 2: That is less than eight weeks away, so a lots
• 13:40
Speaker 2: to discuss in regards to the first edition, of Monday
• 13:44
Speaker 2: Night Raw on Netflix on January sixth. As we get
• 13:47
Speaker 2: closer to they announce the Into It Home in Los Angeles, California,
• 13:51
Speaker 2: the new Arena where the Los Angeles Clippers play that
• 13:55
Speaker 2: is like this amazing arena right now. If you watch
• 13:58
Speaker 2: any of the NBA stuff, they this entire section called
• 14:01
Speaker 2: the Wall, which is just insane to see on television.
• 14:05
Speaker 2: It's really really cool. Travis Scott, who's a rapper, Doctor Trey,
• 14:10
Speaker 2: and I'm gonna guess Doctor Tray as listen to his music.
• 14:12
Speaker 2: I've heard some of it that doesn't really do it
• 14:14
Speaker 2: for me, but you know, John Cena is being promoted
• 14:17
Speaker 2: for the show Roman reigns Cody Rhodes. I expect it
• 14:20
Speaker 2: to be the biggest Raw of all time, and I'm
• 14:22
Speaker 2: sure we're going to be talking about that a lot
• 14:23
Speaker 2: here as we get in the month of December and
• 14:26
Speaker 2: that card starts to take shape, and some more announcements
• 14:28
Speaker 2: come out for that first show of twenty twenty five
• 14:32
Speaker 2: and the first on the Netflix era. But the one
• 14:34
Speaker 2: thing I wanted to talk about here to kick off
• 14:36
Speaker 2: the show this week, Doctor Trey formally kick off the
• 14:39
Speaker 2: show was twenty twenty four one of the big themes
• 14:41
Speaker 2: was going to be the swath of free agents that
• 14:44
Speaker 2: were going to be available to the market for All
• 14:46
Speaker 2: Eat Wrestling. We figure there's gonna be a lot of
• 14:49
Speaker 2: free agency wars as we went into this year, and
• 14:53
Speaker 2: those certainly existed, but probably not to the degree that
• 14:56
Speaker 2: we were hoping now that we look back at it.
• 14:58
Speaker 2: We thought that there was gonna be the bidding war
• 14:59
Speaker 2: of twenty twenty four between AWN and WWE for the
• 15:04
Speaker 2: rights of MGF that never really came to fruition. We
• 15:08
Speaker 2: knew will Ospur is gonna hit the market, and by
• 15:10
Speaker 2: this time a year ago, at the end of twenty
• 15:12
Speaker 2: twenty three, made his inclinations known that he was going
• 15:15
Speaker 2: to go to All Elite Wrestling. At the Full Gear
• 15:17
Speaker 2: pay per view, we announced that in twenty twenty four,
• 15:20
Speaker 2: there were some glimmer of hopes that maybe Okada does
• 15:23
Speaker 2: make it interesting he goes to WWE, or at least
• 15:27
Speaker 2: listens to w he ends up in AW. Mercedes Bone
• 15:30
Speaker 2: was rumored to potentially be returning to WWW in late
• 15:33
Speaker 2: twenty twenty three. That didn't work out, and those rumors
• 15:36
Speaker 2: quickly switched to her eventually signing with AW and it
• 15:40
Speaker 2: took her three months to debut, and then I guess
• 15:42
Speaker 2: the real last one for AW was the signing of
• 15:45
Speaker 2: Bobby Lashley MVP and Shelton Benjamin as the Hurt Syndicate,
• 15:49
Speaker 2: the former Hurt business in all Elite Wrestling. On the
• 15:52
Speaker 2: WA side of things, you have the MotorCity Machine Guns,
• 15:55
Speaker 2: the current w Tag Team champions. They signed with the company,
• 15:57
Speaker 2: and I think all of us going into this year
• 15:59
Speaker 2: figured that if mcmg was available, they were gonna be
• 16:02
Speaker 2: going AW. They had over wrestled Aware I think once
• 16:05
Speaker 2: or twice, and they had a great relationship with the Buck,
• 16:07
Speaker 2: so figured they would go there. They flipped the script
• 16:10
Speaker 2: and ended up in WA. W signed Stephanie Vakor, who's
• 16:13
Speaker 2: currently performing in an NXT, shortly after she performed at
• 16:16
Speaker 2: the AW New Japan Pro Wrestling for Bidden Door twenty
• 16:19
Speaker 2: twenty four pay per view, taking a loss from Mercedes
• 16:22
Speaker 2: Bone in that match. Then Julia, who has always been
• 16:26
Speaker 2: rumored to be going over to w W, she appears
• 16:28
Speaker 2: in NXT. Zaria, who is not a real big name
• 16:33
Speaker 2: per se. I did not know her work heading into
• 16:35
Speaker 2: this year, but she's been impressive so far in her
• 16:38
Speaker 2: short time in NXT. And she was known as I
• 16:41
Speaker 2: Believe Delta in Australia. The last one on the W
• 16:45
Speaker 2: side of things was a big name in the MLW world.
• 16:49
Speaker 2: He was a MLW champion for over eight hundred days
• 16:52
Speaker 2: and that was Jacob Foto signed with the company. Now
• 16:55
Speaker 2: he's performing with a new bloodline and is one of
• 16:58
Speaker 2: the big up in coming risers that I could see
• 17:02
Speaker 2: in two three years time, maybe even shorter as being
• 17:04
Speaker 2: one of the top stars in the company. WWE certainly
• 17:07
Speaker 2: believes in him, likes this look, likes his feel, and
• 17:09
Speaker 2: has big things planned for Jacob fat two down the line.
• 17:12
Speaker 2: So when you look back at everything there, doctor Trey,
• 17:15
Speaker 2: and you recap the free agents of twenty twenty four,
• 17:18
Speaker 2: aw Will Osprey, Becazisco Cotta, Mercedes Moone and that hurts
• 17:21
Speaker 2: syndicate w W WI, Motor City, machine Gun, stephie Vakor,
• 17:25
Speaker 2: Julia Zari and Jacob Fattwo And maybe there's some free
• 17:28
Speaker 2: agents I'm missing here. Please feel free to jump in
• 17:30
Speaker 2: if I am missing Anny. But with that said, which
• 17:33
Speaker 2: group of free agents had more of an impact for
• 17:36
Speaker 2: the company that they joined this past year?
• 17:39
  Speaker 3: And that's that's a really I'm doing the math in
• 17:42
Speaker 3: my head, I'm like, that's actually kind of a tricky question,
• 17:46
Speaker 3: Like I would say, like just overall impact on their programs,
• 17:49
Speaker 3: I'd probably give the edge to AW.
• 17:52
  Speaker 1: I think Ospray's been a fantastic signing.
• 17:55
  Speaker 2: Uh.
• 17:55
Speaker 1: He's made me more and more of a fan of
• 17:57
Speaker 1: his the Mora watch him.
• 17:59
  Speaker 2: Uh.
• 18:00
Speaker 3: The Okada signing to me has fallen kind of flat
• 18:05
Speaker 3: over the last few months. The Mode signing was great
• 18:09
Speaker 3: for AW as far as viewership and getting people's attention,
• 18:12
Speaker 3: but once again I kind of feel like it's plateaued
• 18:15
Speaker 3: a little bit. The Heart Syndicate is a great signing.
• 18:18
  Speaker 3: I think there's gonna be a huge They're gonna be
• 18:20
Speaker 3: huge business, but it's still early in the signing to
• 18:24
Speaker 3: kind of get a gauge on it. WWE the Women, Julia,
• 18:30
Speaker 3: Stefanie vacor Tzaria. They're impactful signings for down the road,
• 18:36
Speaker 3: but being NXT signings, they're not really a huge boom
• 18:41
Speaker 3: to overall business. I think the Most City Machine Guns
• 18:45
Speaker 3: is a solid signing, but I don't think it really
• 18:48
Speaker 3: moves the needle ton. I think Jacob Fatoo signing, I guess,
• 18:52
Speaker 3: was another one, kind of like the Girls in the
• 18:54
Speaker 3: sense of it's a really solid signing. He's made an impact,
• 18:57
Speaker 3: but I think we'll feel his impact more here in
• 19:00
  Speaker 3: a couple years. Because I'm with you, I think he's
• 19:02
Speaker 3: a future, main event caliber talent. So I think just
• 19:06
Speaker 3: an overall to each respective company's business, I give the
• 19:10
Speaker 3: edge to aaw Yeah.
• 19:12
Speaker 2: So the answer to my question impact wise aw WWA,
• 19:17
Speaker 2: I think the biggest impact is aw right. I think Ospray, Ocada,
• 19:22
Speaker 2: Monet Hertzyndicate have had the most impact. It gets interesting
• 19:27
Speaker 2: when you go, all right, which company has done a
• 19:29
Speaker 2: better job with these free agents though? And I think
• 19:32
Speaker 2: you can make a strong case that's w A. Right now,
• 19:35
Speaker 2: Doctor tre MotorCity machine Guns are doing really well, Vakor
• 19:39
Speaker 2: Juliet Zaria doing very well in NXC. Jacob Fatu is
• 19:42
Speaker 2: on the rise, like they're doing more to do character
• 19:45
Speaker 2: development and build them up for the future. While aew
• 19:48
Speaker 2: like I've loved Ospray, I've loved Osprey twenty twenty four,
• 19:53
Speaker 2: I would say the final quarter of twenty twenty four
• 19:55
Speaker 2: he has fallen off a little bit. The stuff with
• 19:58
Speaker 2: Kyle Fletcher that feud is inter I've seen makes sense.
• 20:01
Speaker 2: Should be a good match on Saturday. But he's fallen
• 20:03
Speaker 2: off a little bit, and that has nothing to do
• 20:05
Speaker 2: with its in ring ability, but his character development and
• 20:08
Speaker 2: time on television Okata. You pointed it out like I
• 20:12
Speaker 2: don't even I don't know if his contract has very
• 20:14
Speaker 2: unlimited dates, but I feel like the American audience has
• 20:18
Speaker 2: not had a great taste of Okada, and maybe that
• 20:20
Speaker 2: changes for the final five to six weeks of the
• 20:22
Speaker 2: year with the Continental Classic returning on AW television. Mercedes
• 20:26
Speaker 2: Monet sort of great out of the gate. I think
• 20:29
Speaker 2: she has completely fallen off a cliff and I know
• 20:31
Speaker 2: you are the Mercedes Monet hater and I'm the defender.
• 20:34
Speaker 2: I am not enjoying her character right now. The stuff
• 20:37
Speaker 2: with Camill as the brick house as the bodyguard, it
• 20:40
Speaker 2: has gotten to the point where it makes no sense
• 20:42
Speaker 2: at all. Why is Camill being booked as like a
• 20:44
Speaker 2: comedy act? Makes no sense to me at all. Does
• 20:47
Speaker 2: her syndicate They've done good but it's been a very
• 20:50
Speaker 2: short time. One of my issues that I have with
• 20:53
Speaker 2: this past Wednesday's edition Dynamite, Why are we having Bobby
• 20:56
Speaker 2: Lashley's first match in AW on Dynamite and with little
• 21:00
Speaker 2: to no fanfare no promotion behind it whatsoever. Bobby Lashley's
• 21:04
Speaker 2: going to make his AW debut, why are you not
• 21:06
Speaker 2: saving it for the pay per view on Saturday against
• 21:09
Speaker 2: Worth Strickland unless he's potentially taken an owl? So impact. Yes,
• 21:13
Speaker 2: aw's free agents has had more of an impact. Who
• 21:16
Speaker 2: has done the best job with their free agents though
• 21:18
Speaker 2: that they've entered this year? I think it's WW.
• 21:21
Speaker 3: We doubt to try, Yeah, but we're not you and
• 21:25
Speaker 3: I are not surprised by that because that's kind of
• 21:29
Speaker 3: been the mo for these two companies of the last
• 21:31
Speaker 3: you know, at least the last two years. Like WW
• 21:34
Speaker 3: does a better job of developing characters for their television product.
• 21:39
Speaker 3: AW maybe showcases their talent in ring better, but the
• 21:44
Speaker 3: character developments not there. Like we have Okada but the
• 21:47
Speaker 3: Bucks left, So is Ocada still is still the elite?
• 21:51
Speaker 1: Is Ocada still a heel?
• 21:52
Speaker 3: Are we going to see a different Okada with the
• 21:55
  Speaker 3: Continental Classic?
• 21:56
  Speaker 2: Like?
• 21:56
Speaker 1: What are we going to do?
• 21:57
Speaker 3: Osprey has been enjoyable. I've actually learned more about Osprey
• 22:00
Speaker 3: during his time. But you know the Mercedes Monette thing
• 22:03
Speaker 3: that I mean to me, you know I mentioned Kyle Boller.
• 22:08
Speaker 3: I mean this is like the JaMarcus Russell drafting number
• 22:11
Speaker 3: one by the Raiders.
• 22:12
  Speaker 1: I mean to me, it's a complete.
• 22:13
Speaker 3: Bust now, like nothing she does looks good and nothing
• 22:18
Speaker 3: in her problem was look good. It looks like a complete,
• 22:20
Speaker 3: you know, albatross of a contract the her syndicate early on.
• 22:25
Speaker 1: So far, I have enjoyed their build.
• 22:27
Speaker 3: They've this may be the best booked Shelton Benjamin I've
• 22:31
Speaker 3: ever seen, Like he looks like a legit badass in
• 22:33
Speaker 3: these matches, and the last stuff is good, and then
• 22:36
Speaker 3: there's a little bit entry like who else is going
• 22:38
Speaker 3: to join? But you also have Swerve come out and
• 22:40
Speaker 3: kind of clean house. Well, you still got to make
• 22:43
Speaker 3: your heels look like dominate heel faction to create those
• 22:47
Speaker 3: obstacles for baby Face to overcome. So but ww, I
• 22:51
Speaker 3: didn't know who Zaria was. I didn't really know who
• 22:53
Speaker 3: Julia was. I didn't really know who Stephanie Vakor was
• 22:55
Speaker 3: when they signed I'm interested. I knew a little bit
• 22:57
Speaker 3: about Jacob Fatoo, and they've done a great job with
• 23:00
Speaker 3: him and the machine guns.
• 23:02
  Speaker 1: God bless him.
• 23:03
Speaker 3: One of the greatest tag teams of modern generation, but
• 23:08
Speaker 3: maybe not the best personalities. They've actually tried to give
• 23:12
Speaker 3: them a personality and then create intrigue around them with
• 23:16
Speaker 3: talent that can help flush out their characters. Having Champa
• 23:20
Speaker 3: and Gargato, having the Street profits, getting involved with the
• 23:23
Speaker 3: Bloodline to win the titles. Those are all characters people
• 23:26
Speaker 3: care about, so it makes them care about what the
• 23:28
Speaker 3: machine Guns are doing. And that's so W's just doing
• 23:30
Speaker 3: a better job of developing those characters. And I would
• 23:34
Speaker 3: say almost maybe with these signings long term, we might
• 23:37
Speaker 3: look back in five years and say this class was
• 23:39
Speaker 3: better for WWE than what aw's classes.
• 23:42
Speaker 2: And the last thing I'll talk about hearing these free
• 23:44
Speaker 2: aging classes for twenty twenty four Doctor Trey, because I
• 23:46
Speaker 2: think they are notable. I think there's something that makes
• 23:48
Speaker 2: an impact on these two brands for years to come,
• 23:51
Speaker 2: the next five to ten years. Is it's very interesting
• 23:54
Speaker 2: because Ospriocatta mone were like the big names on the
• 23:57
Speaker 2: market this year. They all went to AW, which we
• 23:59
Speaker 2: all suspected that they would, and again we knew a
• 24:02
Speaker 2: year from now, a year ago that Austray was going there.
• 24:05
Speaker 2: What's funny is the year has gone on. MotorCity machine
• 24:08
Speaker 2: Guns would have figured they would have gone to AW.
• 24:10
Speaker 2: They go to WA Stephanie Vakor you figured she'd go
• 24:13
Speaker 2: to AW, she goes to WA. Juliazaria Jacobatu always felt
• 24:18
Speaker 2: like they were W bound, but you started to see
• 24:20
Speaker 2: a shift in the mid to late part of twenty
• 24:23
Speaker 2: twenty four where the free agents were considering W more
• 24:28
Speaker 2: than AW. The AW. AW was like the place for
• 24:31
Speaker 2: free agents to go because w was a little bit
• 24:34
Speaker 2: of a cesspool. There was no maybe not as good
• 24:38
Speaker 2: of an environment as W as AW was. And it's
• 24:41
Speaker 2: completely one eighty. Both companies have completely won eight and
• 24:45
Speaker 2: I found that to be very telling doctor Trade that
• 24:47
Speaker 2: you're seeing more free agents considered WE as a likely
• 24:51
Speaker 2: landing spot than AW, because I feel like a lot
• 24:54
Speaker 2: of people that were coming from TNA, coming from the
• 24:56
Speaker 2: independent scene, coming from Japan, were gonna just they were
• 25:00
Speaker 2: basically just considering AW and that was it. The only
• 25:03
Speaker 2: difference here is obviously the hurt syindecon joining WAW later
• 25:06
Speaker 2: this year, and that's because we let their contracts run
• 25:10
Speaker 2: out or they were let go like Sheldon Bejamin. So
• 25:13
Speaker 2: I just felt like that was very talent this year,
• 25:15
  Speaker 2: and I think it's something that it's a sign of
• 25:16
Speaker 2: the time, because AAW is not an enjoyable watch. W
• 25:22
Speaker 2: is an enjoyable watch, and now you're starting to see
• 25:25
Speaker 2: that play out with free agents on their likely landing
• 25:27
Speaker 2: spots as the year has gone on as well.
• 25:30
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, by the way, you forgot a signing for
• 25:32
Speaker 1: w the Gorillas of Destiny.
• 25:33
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's a big one. That was another one
• 25:35
Speaker 2: you would have figured would have gone to AW, right.
• 25:37
Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I mean technically speaking, I mean they are
• 25:41
Speaker 3: somewhat related to the bloodline. But yeah, like if with
• 25:45
Speaker 3: their ties to New Japan, you figured they would tie
• 25:48
Speaker 3: in with the AW stuff.
• 25:49
Speaker 2: So well you figure with the Bucks working and Kenny
• 25:52
Speaker 2: are working with the Bullet Club, right, Yeah.
• 25:54
Speaker 3: Well, I mean the Bullet Club is basically split between
• 25:57
Speaker 3: the two shows because you still have the finn aj
• 26:00
Speaker 3: Good Brothers tie in in WWE, and then you have
• 26:03
Speaker 3: the AAW Kenny Bucks Ja those guys, So the Bullet
• 26:09
Speaker 3: Club is basically split in half, half on one show,
• 26:12
Speaker 3: half on the other.
• 26:12
Speaker 2: They basically have the mid to early twenty tens version
• 26:15
Speaker 2: of the Bullet Club in w and then the mid
• 26:18
Speaker 2: to late twenty tens version of the Bullet Club in AAW.
• 26:22
Speaker 3: But the Good have been around so long they've been
• 26:24
Speaker 3: parts of both branches.
• 26:26
Speaker 2: Yes, and Cody was part of the later one and
• 26:28
  Speaker 2: he's in w A so, But.
• 26:30
Speaker 3: As far as you know, the change in philosophy, I
• 26:35
Speaker 3: think is the telling part, because you and I have
• 26:37
Speaker 3: been talking about ever since Vince left, like w's kind
• 26:39
Speaker 3: of and since the merger especially, like we've changed the
• 26:42
  Speaker 3: business model.
• 26:43
Speaker 1: The guys are people.
• 26:44
Speaker 3: The workers are getting more time off, they're getting more freedom.
• 26:48
Speaker 3: We're seeing aj Go wrestle and Noah, you know Shin's
• 26:51
Speaker 3: k wrestling in Japan, like we're seeing these guys. Lexus
• 26:54
Speaker 3: King actually had an independent booking in Georgia recently as well,
• 26:57
Speaker 3: which is something you'd never see all those guys do
• 27:01
Speaker 3: under the Vince regime.
• 27:02
Speaker 1: Like you, we're seeing those w talents go in other places.
• 27:06
Speaker 3: And then the TNA crossover, which I think, although maybe
• 27:09
Speaker 3: ratings wise isn't as good as the Kenny crossover, the
• 27:13
Speaker 3: AW crossover, But as far as building talent and highlighting talent,
• 27:20
Speaker 3: I mean the Joe Henry stuff, the stuff with the Rascals,
• 27:22
Speaker 3: the Jordan Gray stuff has been good for TNA to
• 27:25
Speaker 3: get them exposure on NXT television and it allows NXT
• 27:29
Speaker 3: talents another place to go work outside of that bubble
• 27:33
Speaker 3: to get that kind of experience. So it's just been
• 27:35
Speaker 3: a shift in philosophy I think has made it more
• 27:37
Speaker 3: welcoming for those independent talents to come in and go, Hey,
• 27:41
Speaker 3: I can come in. I can still kind of do
• 27:44
Speaker 3: my thing, but just under the format of WW instead
• 27:48
Speaker 3: of coming in and having to triple my work dates
• 27:51
Speaker 3: and do whatever. Vince says, there's a lot more flexibility
• 27:55
Speaker 3: and freedom in this new WWE as opposed to what
• 27:58
Speaker 3: it was two three years.
• 28:00
Speaker 2: And I would say that WE is doing the things
• 28:03
Speaker 2: that made AW so appealing and they're adding it to
• 28:06
Speaker 2: their business model now, less house shows, more time at home,
• 28:12
Speaker 2: more flexibility to do outside projects. The stuff that they
• 28:15
Speaker 2: were getting bashed for and why people were going to AW,
• 28:18
Speaker 2: they're now doing it in this new business model, and
• 28:20
Speaker 2: it's making it more of an attractive place for wrestlers
• 28:23
Speaker 2: to go to because the business had to evolve. I mean,
• 28:29
Speaker 2: Vince wasn't the only game in town anymore, and he
• 28:32
Speaker 2: didn't seem to know that when he was running the show,
• 28:34
Speaker 2: where it was like, well, if you don't want to
• 28:35
Speaker 2: work here, then screw you, and a lot of people
• 28:37
Speaker 2: didn't want to work there, anymore, and they went to AW,
• 28:40
Speaker 2: and that's when AW was most successful. It's just it's
• 28:43
Speaker 2: very and this could be set for another day, and
• 28:45
Speaker 2: we got a lot of shows to wrap up the
• 28:47
Speaker 2: year that maybe this has talked about, but really the
• 28:50
Speaker 2: biggest turning point in wrestling for Bothe and AW was
• 28:54
Speaker 2: Vince retiring and leaving and the book being handed over
• 28:58
Speaker 2: to Triple H. Because when you saw WWE get better,
• 29:01
Speaker 2: and that's where you saw AW get worse, and W
• 29:05
Speaker 2: started to pull away and AW started to fall down
• 29:08
Speaker 2: the ladder. The erosion of good faith that wrestling fans
• 29:14
Speaker 2: in AW is eroding. I mean, look at the viewership
• 29:16
Speaker 2: each week for Dynamite Rampage and Collision. Rampage and Collision
• 29:20
Speaker 2: viewership is almost embarrassing at this point. I mean it's
• 29:24
Speaker 2: in levels that even the worst WE shit didn't even touch.
• 29:29
Speaker 2: I mean, Dynamite is competing below where NXT was right now,
• 29:34
Speaker 2: and TBS and TNT are supposed to be in equal
• 29:38
Speaker 2: homes as to the USA Network or parts of it.
• 29:42
Speaker 2: You know, it's just crazy to see. So the free
• 29:45
Speaker 2: agentcy of twenty twenty four biggest impact immediate definitely on
• 29:50
Speaker 2: the AW side. Best character development w WE most potential
• 29:54
Speaker 2: for long term, it's got to be W right now
• 29:57
Speaker 2: because fakor Julia Zaria too. These are people that could
• 30:01
Speaker 2: all be top stars in five years. I'd like to
• 30:04
Speaker 2: throw the owner City Machine Guns in that list, But
• 30:06
Speaker 2: I'm still very optimistic when it comes to the tag
• 30:08
Speaker 2: TM division in WEE Doctor Trey.
• 30:11
Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean really on the AW side, when you
• 30:13
Speaker 3: look at the signings, it's like, is Okada going to
• 30:15
Speaker 3: be any better than he is right now in five
• 30:17
Speaker 3: years now? I mean probably not mercedesmen A, Probably not
• 30:22
Speaker 3: Bobby Lashley Sheldon, those guys that are in their mid forties.
• 30:24
Speaker 3: Are they gonna be any better in five years than
• 30:26
Speaker 3: they're at right now? Probably not Ospray's these. If Ospray
• 30:29
Speaker 3: becomes the face of AW and starts generating by rates
• 30:34
Speaker 3: and generating ratings increases, then that that line becomes a
• 30:39
Speaker 3: little more blurred as to which class is better, because
• 30:42
Speaker 3: you can have one person offsets five people.
• 30:45
  Speaker 1: In that situation.
• 30:46
Speaker 3: If he becomes the hottest star in the business at
• 30:48
Speaker 3: BOOM is kind of like you know, Stone Cold versus
• 30:50
Speaker 3: the nWo, and if he has honest things, stone Cold
• 30:53
Speaker 3: takes off and he basically ran the other company out
• 30:56
  Speaker 3: of business.
• 30:58
Speaker 1: But that means you have to trust in the.
• 31:00
Speaker 3: Booking of AAW putting ospray in that position, in ospray
• 31:04
Speaker 3: generating those results. Otherwise, Yeah, five years from now, we're
• 31:07
Speaker 3: gonna look back and be like, you know, WWE smoked
• 31:10
Speaker 3: this class because A, these guys are all these people
• 31:13
Speaker 3: are all big stars, and B they didn't cost as
• 31:16
Speaker 3: much as the other guys, So you're getting a return
• 31:19
Speaker 3: on investment that's much better. I think right now you
• 31:21
Speaker 3: look at aw go and is your return on investment
• 31:25
Speaker 3: really generating the results you wanted. I think wwkn honestly
• 31:29
Speaker 3: say that, Yeah, our class is even now generating return
• 31:33
Speaker 3: on investment better than what they thought they were going
• 31:35
  Speaker 3: to get.
• 31:36
Speaker 1: And I don't know. In AW you can't say that
• 31:38
  Speaker 1: right now.
• 31:39
Speaker 2: WWE is a better product. As the year has gone
• 31:42
Speaker 2: on with these free agents. Aw is a less than
• 31:45
Speaker 2: product than it was at the start of the year
• 31:47
Speaker 2: with the addition of these free agents. And that's shocking
• 31:50
Speaker 2: because you would figure, and we said it in the
• 31:51
Speaker 2: early onset of twenty twenty four, like Osprey locatam on
• 31:54
Speaker 2: A this should inject some life in the company. And
• 31:57
Speaker 2: it's been the complete opposite. It's like reverse osmosis for
• 32:00
Speaker 2: all leave wrestling. So it's been a very interesting year
• 32:04
Speaker 2: for free agents and it's something that as we get
• 32:07
Speaker 2: close to the end of twenty twenty four, I was
• 32:08
Speaker 2: really thinking about as we get to these last couple
• 32:11
Speaker 2: of weeks of the year, because it was such a
• 32:14
Speaker 2: big year. It was such a big topic of discussion
• 32:17
Speaker 2: was the free agent market and professional wrestling for this year.
• 32:21
Speaker 2: Speaking of we speaking of good character development, doctor Trey.
• 32:24
Speaker 2: One of those people that has really benefited from that
• 32:26
Speaker 2: in twenty twenty four is one solo Socoa. I've watched
• 32:31
Speaker 2: in the last couple of weeks on Raw and SmackDown
• 32:35
Speaker 2: and I was like, man, it's under the radar, but
• 32:38
Speaker 2: this guy has gotten really good. He has found his confidence,
• 32:41
Speaker 2: he has found his personality. He is extremely likable, even
• 32:45
Speaker 2: though playing one of the top heels in the SmackDown brand.
• 32:47
Speaker 2: I think this is a guy that could be like
• 32:49
Speaker 2: a really big baby face at some point because his personality,
• 32:51
Speaker 2: which is the same for his brothers like Jay and Jimmy,
• 32:54
Speaker 2: are like very magnetic, have great charisma, great personalities that
• 32:59
Speaker 2: I think the just kind of adhere to and they
• 33:01
Speaker 2: love I think Solo could get there someday, but he's
• 33:04
Speaker 2: been so great as a heel. I'm just like thinking
• 33:06
Speaker 2: to myself, we got the award show coming up, which,
• 33:09
Speaker 2: by the way, we will formally announce a holiday programming
• 33:11
Speaker 2: schedule on our Thanksgiving special on next week's edition of SRTU.
• 33:15
Speaker 2: And I'm like, we keep talking about could it be
• 33:17
Speaker 2: Ospre for Breakout Start of the year, could it be
• 33:19
Speaker 2: Swerve the breakout start of the year, Like who could
• 33:22
Speaker 2: be the breakout start of the year. I'm like, why
• 33:24
Speaker 2: aren't we consitting considering Solo Soca? So I asked you this,
• 33:28
Speaker 2: doctor Trey, should Solo Socoa be strongly considered for the
• 33:30
Speaker 2: Breakout Start of the Year award? When we talk in
• 33:33
Speaker 2: about a little over a month, and do we over
• 33:36
Speaker 2: have we overlooked Solo Socoa after a really strong year
• 33:40
Speaker 2: in twenty twenty four?
• 33:42
Speaker 3: So my answering versary, so have we overlooked him? Absolute
• 33:45
Speaker 3: frecolutely and the evolution of his character? Nine months ago
• 33:49
Speaker 3: he didn't speak and now he cuts. He's one of
• 33:53
Speaker 3: the best promo guys that we see on television and
• 33:56
Speaker 3: in a lot of ways. And I saw somebody suppose
• 33:58
Speaker 3: his picture of it was two weeks ago he came
• 34:01
Speaker 3: out in like a black turtleneck with a gold chain.
• 34:03
Speaker 3: I'm like, he has gone from Umaga to the Rock
• 34:06
Speaker 3: in nine months. I mean that's the evolution of solo
• 34:09
Speaker 3: in this and it's an incredible transformation.
• 34:13
Speaker 1: And he's helped elevate, you know.
• 34:16
Speaker 3: Toma Tonga, Tongolowa and Jacob Fatu into being upper mid
• 34:21
Speaker 3: carb borderline main event stars just by being in his orbit,
• 34:24
Speaker 3: which is what The Rock did for Dilo, Mark Henry
• 34:27
Speaker 3: and the Godfather back in the Nation of Domination days.
• 34:29
Speaker 3: So yeah, he's a completely we've completely overlooked him and yeah,
• 34:33
Speaker 3: absolutely is Should he be considered in that breakout level?
• 34:37
Speaker 1: Yeah, because he's done.
• 34:39
Speaker 3: What we're seeing is if you remember when he was
• 34:40
Speaker 3: in nxteen, when he came in, he was a heel,
• 34:43
Speaker 3: but because his personality was so inviting and he was
• 34:48
Speaker 3: hit that a little bit of that swag and charisma
• 34:49
Speaker 3: to him, they turned him Babyface before he got moved
• 34:52
Speaker 3: to the main roster just for that reason. So I
• 34:56
Speaker 3: think he's been overshadowed by the Aweso spray import to
• 35:01
Speaker 3: the United States, and that's why we kind of just
• 35:04
Speaker 3: kind of took Solo for granted, and you know there's
• 35:08
Speaker 3: people have a bias excuse me against Solo because of
• 35:12
Speaker 3: you know, he's just getting he's in his spot because
• 35:14
Speaker 3: of his family and everybody else. We've seen you and
• 35:18
Speaker 3: I've been watching wrestling for a long time. We've seen
• 35:21
Speaker 3: nepotism hires and some do great and some are David Flair.
• 35:27
Speaker 1: So it's just because you get the spot doesn't mean
• 35:30
Speaker 1: you keep the spot.
• 35:31
Speaker 3: And Solo has done everything correct since we were the
• 35:35
Speaker 3: main roster to earn his place on the card where
• 35:37
Speaker 3: he's at right now.
• 35:38
Speaker 1: And absolutely, I mean breakout star.
• 35:41
Speaker 3: I mean Ospray May I guess ospray for the United
• 35:44
Speaker 3: States the audience is a breakout star. But Solo, for
• 35:47
Speaker 3: evolution of character in nine months has just been incredible
• 35:51
  Speaker 3: this year.
• 35:52
Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm watching the show and I'm like, man, why
• 35:54
Speaker 2: are we not mentioning him more as a breakouts are
• 35:57
Speaker 2: of the year. It's been completely well lost brace for whoever.
• 36:00
Speaker 2: And it's like Solo has as you said, and you
• 36:03
Speaker 2: hit it on the head and these are the things
• 36:04
Speaker 2: I would think about. He went from not talking to
• 36:06
Speaker 2: talking all the time and having a lot of confidence
• 36:09
Speaker 2: and charisma on the microphone. One of the subtle things,
• 36:12
Speaker 2: and I don't know if you've seen this on social
• 36:14
Speaker 2: media dotch tray at all, but one of my favorite
• 36:15
Speaker 2: things that like pop up on my algorithm now for
• 36:18
Speaker 2: various different social media accounts is these Solo Socoa like
• 36:23
Speaker 2: dark matches or events, stuff at house shows, or him
• 36:28
Speaker 2: out out to like day to day life where he's
• 36:32
Speaker 2: like helping someone like put put luggage on an airplane
• 36:36
Speaker 2: that always pops up. He's like walking into an arena
• 36:40
Speaker 2: and somebody calls him like the fake tribal chief or whatever,
• 36:45
Speaker 2: and he like makes him flinch. He messes with people
• 36:49
Speaker 2: at ringside during commercial breaks. There's a great one where
• 36:54
Speaker 2: there's this famous picture of the usos as kids plus Solo,
• 36:59
Speaker 2: and Solo's like very young, probably like eleven years old,
• 37:01
Speaker 2: and he's got like a backwards hat on. It's everything
• 37:03
Speaker 2: that you'd seen like the late nineties, early two thousands,
• 37:07
Speaker 2: and it was like, this is not my tribal chief.
• 37:10
Speaker 2: And they put that picture on the sign at ringside
• 37:14
Speaker 2: and he just is like staring it down. There's a
• 37:17
Speaker 2: lot of good stuff by about him, and I really
• 37:19
Speaker 2: think Solo at some point someday will be a very
• 37:22
Speaker 2: over babyface because he is so damn likable and is
• 37:26
Speaker 2: having so much fun and that resonates on television and
• 37:30
Speaker 2: he still has that magnetic personality and that like he's
• 37:33
Speaker 2: having a lot of fun on we television, but it's
• 37:35
Speaker 2: correlating extremely well as a heel right now. So yeah,
• 37:39
Speaker 2: I don't know, Doc Trey, I thought that this was
• 37:41
Speaker 2: kind of like a slam dunk decision this year, but
• 37:43
Speaker 2: I feel like Solziko has made a real strong push
• 37:46
Speaker 2: to close out twenty twenty four right now.
• 37:48
Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, you can tell he's sat under some
• 37:51
Speaker 3: good learning trees because he has some of the best facials,
• 37:54
Speaker 3: Like he can just look at the camera and you
• 37:56
Speaker 3: know exactly how he's feeling, and a lot of that's
• 38:00
Speaker 3: is It's a lot of the same stuff we were
• 38:01
Speaker 3: saying about Roman towards the end of the Blood like
• 38:04
Speaker 3: like he was so affable and likable being a heel
• 38:08
Speaker 3: that you knew once.
• 38:09
Speaker 1: They turned a baby face they would kind of blow up.
• 38:11
Speaker 3: And Solo's in that same realm right now, like his
• 38:13
Speaker 3: confidence is just oozing out and bubbling over, and a
• 38:17
Speaker 3: lot of the same things that Roman was doing there
• 38:19
Speaker 3: those just remember like Roman was like yelling at Paul
• 38:22
Speaker 3: him I think when they were in England for Class
• 38:24
Speaker 3: of the Castle, like how he hates this place and
• 38:27
Speaker 3: how stupid the fan. Like those little things were things
• 38:30
Speaker 3: that you and I would go, that's a babyface thing
• 38:33
Speaker 3: that would actually get people to laugh and like him
• 38:34
Speaker 3: a lot more if he was a good guy. Solo's
• 38:37
Speaker 3: the same way, So he's he's really picked up a
• 38:40
Speaker 3: lot of the stuff. And then once again, when you're
• 38:41
Speaker 3: the son of Rakishi and you're the brother to the
• 38:44
Speaker 3: Usos and the cousin to Roman reigns and these are
• 38:47
Speaker 3: four of the biggest stars wrestlings ever had, it's it's
• 38:51
Speaker 3: kind of hard not to pick up on those things
• 38:53
Speaker 3: to help you get over You just have to know
• 38:56
Speaker 3: how to apply it in the right way to really
• 38:58
Speaker 3: get the audience to react to you.
• 39:00
Speaker 1: And he's done a great job.
• 39:01
Speaker 3: Like if you had ever told me that somebody who
• 39:04
Speaker 3: basically was booked like Umaga would be the focal point
• 39:08
Speaker 3: heal and not have a mouthpiece with them what I
• 39:11
Speaker 3: told you, there's no way a guy can pull it off.
• 39:13
Speaker 3: He's pulled it off, and he's made this race for
• 39:15
Speaker 3: breakout star really really close and interesting because as he
• 39:19
Speaker 3: keeps ascending and getting better, we see Osprey not getting
• 39:23
Speaker 3: booked as well, so he might catch him by the end,
• 39:26
Speaker 3: because it feels like the Tortoise and the Hair where
• 39:30
Speaker 3: Ospray got out to a big lead, but he's kind
• 39:33
Speaker 3: of slowing down here at the end, and Solo just
• 39:35
Speaker 3: keeps getting better and better week after week, and he
• 39:38
Speaker 3: might catch him by the end of the year.
• 39:39
Speaker 2: In twelve months, so Sokoa has pinned both John Cena
• 39:43
Speaker 2: and Roman Reigns at a major plae for World Hours Entertainment.
• 39:47
Speaker 2: That is no small feat. Doctor Trey switching gears to
• 39:53
Speaker 2: all the wrestling will preven predict your full gear momentarily.
• 39:56
Speaker 2: But there was a big comment made from John Mock
• 40:00
Speaker 2: recently where he talks about why AW needs to be
• 40:04
Speaker 2: successful or it will set the business back. He had
• 40:07
Speaker 2: an interview with Sam Fishman and he said, and I quote,
• 40:13
Speaker 2: AW has to be a success. If it's not, the
• 40:16
Speaker 2: business gets set back another twenty fucking years. I'm not
• 40:19
Speaker 2: willing to go through that again. Others who I've known
• 40:21
Speaker 2: for fifteen to twenty years are not willing to go
• 40:23
Speaker 2: through that again. It's at the hands of our generation.
• 40:26
Speaker 2: This is what we wanted to do in all we've
• 40:27
Speaker 2: ever wanted to do. The future is in our hands.
• 40:30
Speaker 2: Whatever AW will become in the future is up to us. Frankly,
• 40:34
Speaker 2: in five years nothing has been built. We're going to
• 40:36
Speaker 2: build it right now. There has been no flag. AD
• 40:38
Speaker 2: was not really nailed down its identity, but being a
• 40:41
Speaker 2: young company, and that's fine. There has been a known
• 40:44
Speaker 2: flag for everyone to unify and say, this is who
• 40:46
Speaker 2: we are and who we are what we do in
• 40:49
Speaker 2: the direction we're going. We're going to plan our flag.
• 40:52
Speaker 2: That's starting with me and a few people watching my back.
• 40:54
Speaker 2: In others, we're going to demand more of everybody around us.
• 40:58
Speaker 2: I think the big telling thing here to Treys is
• 41:01
Speaker 2: Moxley saying AW has to be success. If it's not,
• 41:03
Speaker 2: the business gets set back in another twenty years. Do
• 41:06
Speaker 2: you agree with that statement, Because as much as the
• 41:11
Speaker 2: influence of the last few years of five years of
• 41:13
Speaker 2: wrestling is due to the launch of awwwe got better
• 41:17
Speaker 2: because it was heavily influenced by the launch of AW
• 41:19
Speaker 2: and they needed to get better. Do you really think
• 41:22
Speaker 2: if AW was not successful the business gets set back
• 41:24
Speaker 2: in another twenty years.
• 41:27
Speaker 1: I actually agree with them on that.
• 41:28
Speaker 3: Yeah, I do, because when you look at when WCW,
• 41:32
Speaker 3: even in the early eighties, when the NWA was battling WWF,
• 41:35
Speaker 3: there was still that pressure on WWF to beat your competition.
• 41:40
Speaker 3: There was still that line there, and it still gave
• 41:42
Speaker 3: guys an opportunity to go somewhere else and still make
• 41:45
Speaker 3: a good living. So the talent pool built because wrestling
• 41:50
Speaker 3: was a viable career for these guys, you know, and
• 41:55
Speaker 3: even all the way up through the nineties, and when
• 41:57
Speaker 3: you look at when WCW died, like wrestling got really
• 42:02
Speaker 3: bad for a long time, there was no opportunities. When
• 42:05
Speaker 3: guys got released, there was nowhere else to go to
• 42:08
Speaker 3: make the kind of money that they were making in WWE.
• 42:12
Speaker 3: With the launch of AAW, it gave guys a platform
• 42:15
Speaker 3: and an option that, hey, if I don't like what
• 42:18
Speaker 3: ww's doing with me, I can go here and still
• 42:21
Speaker 3: make a good living. And we saw a lot of
• 42:24
Speaker 3: those guys make that move out from under Vince and
• 42:27
Speaker 3: make that move to AW for those reasons.
• 42:30
Speaker 1: Whether it's Moxley, Jericho FTR, you know.
• 42:32
Speaker 3: All those guys in those early days of AAW, that
• 42:35
Speaker 3: was what it was, and if AW goes away, you know,
• 42:39
Speaker 3: I heard a guy say today like when in absence
• 42:42
Speaker 3: of leadership, a power vacuum develops as somebody fills that role.
• 42:48
Speaker 1: We saw that a little bit in the early.
• 42:50
Speaker 3: Two thousand and twenty tens with the rise of TNA
• 42:53
Speaker 3: and Ring of Honor, but they were never really viable
• 42:56
Speaker 3: competition on the level of economics. Like AAW does, AW
• 43:01
Speaker 3: has enough bankroll to match WWE. If that goes away,
• 43:07
Speaker 3: is anybody gonna be running to go jump a new
• 43:09
Speaker 3: jumpstart a new wrestling promotion if AAW dies, no, because
• 43:13
Speaker 3: they're gonna look at going Well, TNA didn't succeed, ECW
• 43:17
Speaker 3: didn't succeed, Ring of Honored in seed, and now AAW
• 43:19
Speaker 3: that had a billionaire backing them up, they didn't succeed.
• 43:23
Speaker 3: Maybe this is a one trick ponent kind of business
• 43:25
Speaker 3: with WWE. So I think that we need that second
• 43:30
Speaker 3: option to keep the health of wrestling going.
• 43:33
Speaker 1: Because wrestling is a smarteressboard.
• 43:35
Speaker 3: There's different flavors for everybody in between AW and WWE,
• 43:38
Speaker 3: you get your bases covered. But like I said, when
• 43:41
Speaker 3: WCW died, WW is the only option in town, and
• 43:45
Speaker 3: the ratings went down the talent kind of went down,
• 43:48
Speaker 3: like we got really like the Jeff, there was times
• 43:52
Speaker 3: that you and I thought about quitting this show because
• 43:54
Speaker 3: wrestling was so bad in that window of time between
• 43:57
Speaker 3: twenty twelve and twenty sixteen. You know, it took an
• 44:01
Speaker 3: AW to reinvigorate the WW product. So I think you
• 44:05
Speaker 3: need some kind of healthy option. And if AW dies
• 44:09
Speaker 3: in a billionaire fails, I don't think any BAILS is
• 44:11
Speaker 3: jumping up to fill that void for the next twenty years.
• 44:15
Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I agree with you on that where we
• 44:18
Speaker 2: need that second option. I guess the part that I
• 44:22
Speaker 2: will find a little debatable is I think WWE has
• 44:27
Speaker 2: learned from their ways and I can't see the current book,
• 44:30
Speaker 2: the current creative, the current business model, the current guys
• 44:34
Speaker 2: running the company, the TKO board, letting WW fall back
• 44:40
Speaker 2: into the trap that after two thousand and one when
• 44:42
Speaker 2: WWNECW folded, that are just got to like wrestle their
• 44:45
Speaker 2: laurels and if somebody pops up, great, But the most
• 44:48
Speaker 2: likelihood is that WE dominates for twenty plus years. That
• 44:51
Speaker 2: part I don't think will happen again. I think Vince
• 44:55
Speaker 2: didn't have a desire to appease his audience after those
• 45:00
Speaker 2: companies folded and there was no competition left. I think
• 45:03
Speaker 2: the folks now it's a bit different because of the
• 45:05
Speaker 2: television contracts, Doctor Trey. So, I mean, they have to
• 45:09
Speaker 2: perform to earn that five billion dollars from Netflix, they
• 45:13
Speaker 2: have to perform to earn that money from the USA network,
• 45:15
Speaker 2: they have to perform to earn that money from the
• 45:17
Speaker 2: CW network, And they have to perform for people to
• 45:20
Speaker 2: watch want to watch their pls on the Peacocks platform
• 45:23
Speaker 2: in the United States. So I think things have changed
• 45:26
Speaker 2: a bit where we do want a second company. We
• 45:29
Speaker 2: do want a company that is going to push AWWE
• 45:32
Speaker 2: in aw and we also want a company that's going
• 45:35
Speaker 2: to push ine AWW better. But I don't think it
• 45:39
Speaker 2: will have the same ramifications it did in two thousand
• 45:42
Speaker 2: and one when WCWNCW closed.
• 45:44
Speaker 1: If that makes sense, Yeah, it does a lot of that.
• 45:49
Speaker 3: On the level of it makes sense that they would
• 45:52
Speaker 3: continue on doing what they're doing. Makes sense, but we
• 45:54
Speaker 3: also know that they're no longer a privately owned company.
• 45:58
Speaker 3: They're part of a corporate and every corporation goes through
• 46:02
Speaker 3: ups and downs, and there are times like well, if
• 46:04
Speaker 3: you don't have any competition. Do we need to be
• 46:07
Speaker 3: paying these exorbitant salaries to people? Do we need to
• 46:09
Speaker 3: be paying Do we need to be offering Becky Lynch
• 46:12
Speaker 3: three million dollars a year if she has nowhere else
• 46:15
  Speaker 3: to go?
• 46:16
Speaker 1: Can we get it? For one?
• 46:17
Speaker 3: And so if you start shrinking the budgets and shrinking
• 46:20
Speaker 3: the things up like that, because you're assuming that when
• 46:24
Speaker 3: aw folds up that that audience will translate over, that's
• 46:28
Speaker 3: not always the case.
• 46:29
Speaker 1: So there is a little bit of hesitancy and me
• 46:32
  Speaker 1: to sit.
• 46:32
Speaker 3: There and say that, yeah, you're absolutely right, it'll actually
• 46:34
Speaker 3: go that way, because we've seen it in business models
• 46:36
Speaker 3: before that when competition dies off, whoever survives that battle
• 46:42
Speaker 3: does kind of shrink down their their costs to maximize
• 46:47
Speaker 3: their revenues, and then the product actually suffers a little bit.
• 46:50
Speaker 3: So that's that's my nervousness in it, because we've seen
• 46:53
Speaker 3: it before that when these companies go out of business,
• 46:55
Speaker 3: whether it was the Independent Territories in the eighties or
• 46:58
Speaker 3: WCWN the in the two thousands, when the competition dies
• 47:03
Speaker 3: up or dries up, the winner doesn't go, hey, let's
• 47:07
Speaker 3: go spend crazily and just blow this out of the water,
• 47:09
Speaker 3: they shrink up their piece of the pie. Also bring
• 47:12
Speaker 3: everything in house to maximize their revenue. So that's that's
• 47:15
Speaker 3: my nervousness in that kind of concept.
• 47:17
Speaker 2: Well, it's funny because it's the same old it's the pendulum, right.
• 47:21
Speaker 2: I mean, we just saw it in the United States
• 47:22
Speaker 2: a couple of years ago, where the pendulum was swinging
• 47:25
Speaker 2: for the very first time to the employees. Job market
• 47:28
Speaker 2: was tight, people weren't there was plenty of open jobs.
• 47:31
Speaker 2: People could leave their jobs at any given moment, and employees.
• 47:34
Speaker 2: Employers want to do everything possible to make their employees
• 47:37
Speaker 2: happy and give them all these benefits, the ability to
• 47:39
Speaker 2: work from home, travel here, stipend there, blah blah blah
• 47:43
Speaker 2: blah blah, and that was all well and good as
• 47:46
Speaker 2: the economy took a shit. Then all of a sudden,
• 47:49
Speaker 2: the power went back to the employers and cuts are
• 47:51
Speaker 2: happening and everybody's going to return to the office. So
• 47:54
Speaker 2: it's just funny how things work. And right now the
• 47:58
Speaker 2: power is in the fans and the power is in
• 48:01
Speaker 2: the wrestler. The organization does not have the power, and
• 48:04
Speaker 2: that has been consistent right now for five years. So
• 48:08
Speaker 2: you're starting to see more ability being thrown back to
• 48:11
Speaker 2: the fans and more ability thrown back to the wrestlers.
• 48:14
Speaker 2: You would figure it at some point that maybe the organizations,
• 48:17
Speaker 2: the employers get that power back right now. But as
• 48:20
Speaker 2: long as they are in number two and they're they're
• 48:21
Speaker 2: vying and pushing w to be better, then I don't
• 48:25
Speaker 2: think that will happen. But I guess the one thing
• 48:28
Speaker 2: that I'll say, just to wrap this all up, doctor Trey,
• 48:30
Speaker 2: is I mean, is aw And a number two anymore?
• 48:35
Speaker 2: I mean there are times I'm watching Dynamite rampage collision.
• 48:38
Speaker 2: The crowd reactions are very poor. They are an arenas
• 48:41
Speaker 2: that they should not be in anymore because the attendance
• 48:44
Speaker 2: is so low. I think the MVP arena in Albany
• 48:48
Speaker 2: where they just had collision recently, and I'm going to
• 48:52
Speaker 2: double check this real quick, but I'm pretty sure that
• 48:56
Speaker 2: fills over like ten thousand people and they sevente five
• 49:03
Speaker 2: hundred people, and they may have had two thousand in
• 49:06
Speaker 2: there for collision this past Saturday night, and you could
• 49:09
Speaker 2: see that most of that arena was blacked off. I mean,
• 49:12
Speaker 2: are they a number two right now? I mean they're
• 49:15
Speaker 2: falling behind in viewership to NXT. I mean, I understand
• 49:18
Speaker 2: that this may open the floodgates to a conversation, but
• 49:21
Speaker 2: I guess on the short term here and in a
• 49:24
Speaker 2: short term response short response, are they are they a
• 49:28
Speaker 2: viable number two right now?
• 49:29
  Speaker 3: I think they're still I think they're still a viable
• 49:31
Speaker 3: number two. It is a little bit of and I'm
• 49:34
Speaker 3: not saying they're closing up shop or they're going out.
• 49:36
Speaker 1: I don't want to. It's mistaking me for that.
• 49:38
Speaker 3: It does feel a little bit like the end of WCW,
• 49:40
Speaker 3: where you can still find WCW products out in your sword.
• 49:43
Speaker 3: You can still buy the t shirts, the action figures
• 49:45
Speaker 3: also like and that is still brand visibility. They still
• 49:49
Speaker 3: have more brand visibility than any other company out there.
• 49:53
Speaker 3: That's why when the Joe Henry phenomenon took offer. But
• 49:56
Speaker 3: it's like, what's this TNA stuff? And TDA got a
• 49:58
Speaker 3: little bit of a bump in viewership for where they're
• 50:00
Speaker 3: at before because it was just kind of like, oh,
• 50:02
Speaker 3: I thought they went out of business or I thought
• 50:04
Speaker 3: they had kind of close up shop. AW is still
• 50:07
Speaker 3: a recognizable brand, Like they still have international deals, they
• 50:11
Speaker 3: still have their wal like Walt, their products are walmarts
• 50:14
Speaker 3: and targets and you know, hot topics and things like
• 50:17
Speaker 3: that place, so you can still get their stuff in
• 50:20
Speaker 3: brick and mortar stores. Is not all online like an
• 50:23
Speaker 3: MLW or you know any of these other you know,
• 50:25
Speaker 3: even TNA for that matter, there's still a recognizable brand.
• 50:29
Speaker 3: The problem is is that if you don't stop the slide,
• 50:34
Speaker 3: you're not going to bring new viewership in.
• 50:36
Speaker 1: You're going to continue to slide.
• 50:38
Speaker 3: You have to find a way to write the ship,
• 50:39
Speaker 3: which I thought Moxley in that interview made some great
• 50:41
Speaker 3: salium points, which is some of the things that you
• 50:43
Speaker 3: and I have been saying the last couple of years,
• 50:44
Speaker 3: Like the brand doesn't have an identity, and you have
• 50:48
Speaker 3: to create one, and whether it's like downsizing into small
• 50:51
Speaker 3: arenas and going more to like what ECW did at
• 50:54
Speaker 3: something like when they've got rebranded into Extreme Championship Wrestling
• 50:57
Speaker 3: and found their little niche products to create buzz again
• 51:01
Speaker 3: and draw people in to watch it. Hey, maybe that works,
• 51:05
Speaker 3: and then you have the already have the infrastructure in
• 51:07
Speaker 3: place to re expand the business out. They are in
• 51:11
Speaker 3: an identity crisis right now, and that's why I think
• 51:14
Speaker 3: that a lot of the viewers have gone away because
• 51:16
Speaker 3: it's like, well, we don't really know what we're getting
• 51:18
Speaker 3: from week to week. There's no consistency in the product.
• 51:21
Speaker 3: There's no consistency in the inn ring performance, there's no
• 51:26
Speaker 3: consistency in the storylines. And if you don't have consistency,
• 51:29
Speaker 3: you can't build loyalty.
• 51:32
Speaker 2: That's a great way to end it, right there. Not
• 51:33
Speaker 2: sure I think that is the perfect way to end it.
• 51:36
Speaker 2: So let's get into the big show this Saturday for
• 51:39
Speaker 2: aw Full Gear Previeum predictions this Saturday from the Prudential
• 51:43
Speaker 2: Center in Newark, New Jersey. We'll start of the pre
• 51:45
Speaker 2: show match here, Doctor Trey, one of your favorites, Big
• 51:48
Speaker 2: boom AJ taken on QT Marshall. I'm going to take
• 51:51
Speaker 2: on Big Boom AJ from the Costco guys. I am
• 51:55
Speaker 2: not in this Costco guys Metaverse multiverse? Are you Dot
• 52:00
Speaker 2: Tray and who do you like in this match?
• 52:02
Speaker 1: I don't. I don't know who any of those people are.
• 52:04
Speaker 1: I know Qt Marshall, I saw his rap video.
• 52:08
Speaker 2: You don't know, you don't know the Rizzler.
• 52:11
Speaker 1: It was, is that like Bizarro Riddler.
• 52:14
Speaker 2: It's like this eight year old kid that this is
• 52:16
Speaker 2: like weird thing with his face.
• 52:18
Speaker 1: Is that like Ryan's world.
• 52:19
Speaker 3: I know that guy I saw.
• 52:20
Speaker 1: I saw his stuff at Walmart. I don't know.
• 52:23
Speaker 3: Like when they when they start talking about this, I
• 52:25
Speaker 3: was like, I don't know. This is like when like
• 52:28
Speaker 3: music award shows come on now and I'm the old
• 52:30
  Speaker 3: guy going on.
• 52:30
  Speaker 1: I don't know who. I don't know who any of
• 52:32
Speaker 1: these people are. What the hell I don't know? I
• 52:34
Speaker 1: thought Big Boom and a J.
• 52:35
Speaker 3: I thought Aj Francis was making like a debut for
• 52:38
Speaker 3: aw from TNA. It's what I literally thought, and then
• 52:41
Speaker 3: somebody had to educate me a little bit on it.
• 52:43
  Speaker 3: I'm like, I don't know who this is. I will
• 52:45
Speaker 3: take Big Boom AJ in the Wrizzler just because there's three.
• 52:48
Speaker 3: There's only one QT Marshall.
• 52:50
  Speaker 2: I don't think it's a three on one match, but
• 52:52
Speaker 2: we'll go with Big Boom AJ. I can't wait for
• 52:55
Speaker 2: you to watch this match and give your feedback on it.
• 52:58
Speaker 2: MJF versus Roger Shrunk to Trey, Who do you like
• 53:00
  Speaker 2: in this one?
• 53:01
Speaker 1: I got MJF, but I don't know about you.
• 53:04
Speaker 3: Could Could I see Roderick turn on Adam Cole at
• 53:07
Speaker 3: the end of this match, like Adam comes out to
• 53:09
Speaker 3: help or Adam Cole comes out to him help Roderick
• 53:14
Speaker 3: cost him the match, and then we find out that
• 53:16
Speaker 3: MJF is actually the head of the of the Enniscuta Kingdom.
• 53:19
Speaker 3: Right now, I think that is possibility, Okay, but I'm
• 53:22
Speaker 3: taking I'm taking MJF just because I I we had
• 53:25
Speaker 3: to build to MJF and Adam Cole, so MJFF losing
• 53:28
Speaker 3: to roder doesn't make sense.
• 53:29
Speaker 1: So I'm taking MJF to win.
• 53:31
Speaker 3: By the way, the MJO maybe mjf's joined the patriarchy
• 53:35
Speaker 3: because there are some vicious shots at Roderick Strong's dead
• 53:38
Speaker 3: father this past week.
• 53:41
Speaker 2: Those vignettes that they've been airing. By the way, I'm
• 53:43
Speaker 2: taking MGF as well. Those vignettes that they've been airing
• 53:46
Speaker 2: after all these matches with Adam Cole and and Roger Strong,
• 53:50
Speaker 2: they are got awful. I'm not a fan. I mean,
• 53:53
  Speaker 2: there's it's sunlight and it's it's it's a nighttime show,
• 53:56
Speaker 2: like where is the Iceland? Like what do we do?
• 54:00
Speaker 2: I mean that that I like the creativity, but that
• 54:03
Speaker 2: those have been bad.
• 54:03
Speaker 3: Doctor Trey, Well, I mean this is you know, this
• 54:06
Speaker 3: is what moxis talking about we've we've tried some stuff
• 54:08
Speaker 3: that didn't work, we got out what actually works, and
• 54:11
Speaker 3: apparently taping a show at night but doing your vignettes
• 54:14
Speaker 3: in the middle of the day that air post match
• 54:16
Speaker 3: doesn't make a lot of sense.
• 54:18
Speaker 2: Next match, here is j Why taking on Hangman Adam Paige.
• 54:21
Speaker 2: J White is going on about on and on about
• 54:24
Speaker 2: how he has Hangman out in Page's number. He won
• 54:27
Speaker 2: the match at Wrestled Dreams. Therefore I'm gonna go with
• 54:30
Speaker 2: Hangman at a Page in this one.
• 54:31
Speaker 3: Doctor Trey, Yeah, I'm doing like the same with the situation,
• 54:34
Speaker 3: Like if if Jay got to win, Hangman gets a
• 54:36
Speaker 3: win because aaw Tipley does fifty to fifty booking anyway
• 54:39
Speaker 3: on with her big stars, So it's time for Hangman
• 54:41
Speaker 3: to get a win and get back into the title.
• 54:44
Speaker 3: We got to figure out where Hangman lies in this
• 54:46
Speaker 3: whole bcc aw takeover storyline at some point, or does
• 54:50
Speaker 3: he get involved with Swerbigan at some point after this
• 54:52
Speaker 3: hurt business thing dies off.
• 54:55
Speaker 2: Next match here is Private Party defending the aw Tech
• 54:58
Speaker 2: World Tag Team Championship in a four way tag team
• 55:00
Speaker 2: match against the Outrunners. Came to the Black Throne and
• 55:03
Speaker 2: the acclaimed Doctor Trey. Who do you like in this one?
• 55:06
Speaker 1: Well, I'd love to see the outrunners win.
• 55:09
Speaker 3: I don't think, like, how do you put the belts
• 55:11
Speaker 3: on Private Party and take it right back off them?
• 55:13
Speaker 3: To me, House of Black is the most deserving team
• 55:15
Speaker 3: to get to win, But I'm still taking Private Party
• 55:17
Speaker 3: just because they just got the belts a month ago.
• 55:21
Speaker 3: You gotta let him hang on to it for a
• 55:22
Speaker 3: little while if you're trying to actually build your tag
• 55:25
  Speaker 3: team division again.
• 55:26
Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm with you here. I don't think you take
• 55:28
Speaker 2: the titles off Private Party right now. Mercedes Monete defends
• 55:32
Speaker 2: the AWTBS Championship against Chris Statlander. I'm gonna take Mercedes
• 55:36
Speaker 2: money in this one, not to try.
• 55:38
Speaker 1: By the way, did you see this segment with her
• 55:40
Speaker 1: trying to hit the backstabber?
• 55:41
Speaker 2: Yeah, it was awful.
• 55:44
Speaker 3: That was so bad, and it messed up her tombstone
• 55:47
Speaker 3: as well because she couldn't get one hundred and twenty
• 55:49
Speaker 3: pound person into position. Like it's just it's got awful.
• 55:54
Speaker 3: I really want to pick stat Lander in this match,
• 55:56
Speaker 3: and it's hard because I kind of want to see them,
• 55:59
Speaker 3: but with Yama kind of still heading up the women's
• 56:01
Speaker 3: title division. I think I think Mercedes Monet gets the
• 56:05
Speaker 3: wins one. What are why are all the champions Eminem?
• 56:08
Speaker 3: By the way, I just now did the map on
• 56:10
  Speaker 3: that too.
• 56:10
Speaker 2: But the Eminem collection isn't a champion.
• 56:13
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 56:13
Speaker 2: Next match Strickland taking on Bobby Lashley Doctor Trey. Who
• 56:18
Speaker 2: do you like in this one?
• 56:19
Speaker 1: I'm going to numbers Games again.
• 56:21
Speaker 3: I'm gonna take Lashley getting the win here because you
• 56:22
Speaker 3: still have Sheldon, you still have MVP, And as much
• 56:25
Speaker 3: as I love Prince Nana, is he really a threat
• 56:28
Speaker 3: against MVP or you know Sheldon to get involved. So
• 56:32
Speaker 3: I will take Lashley getting the win by hook and
• 56:34
  Speaker 3: by crook.
• 56:35
Speaker 2: I'm going to take Bobby Lashley getting this victory as well.
• 56:37
Speaker 2: I don't think you signed him to have his first
• 56:40
Speaker 2: to have him lose on the first paper he's involved with.
• 56:44
Speaker 2: Next match is Jack Perry defend the AWT and T
• 56:46
Speaker 2: Champion against Daniy Garcia. This has been some really good
• 56:49
Speaker 2: vignettes and segments so far, a lot of Batman and
• 56:52
Speaker 2: Joker stuff. With that said, I would love to pick
• 56:55
Speaker 2: Daniel Garcia in this one, but the way they left
• 56:57
Speaker 2: it off on Dynamite, I am going to pick Jack Perry,
• 56:59
  Speaker 2: Doctor Truck.
• 57:00
Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm picking Perry as well, just because you destroyed
• 57:04
Speaker 3: the Man's ice cream truck.
• 57:06
Speaker 1: Whatever that thing is, I don't really know.
• 57:08
Speaker 2: Is it plus old school bus?
• 57:09
Speaker 3: Right, it's an old school bus. It looked like he
• 57:11
Speaker 3: stole from the ice cream Man. Also, I don't really know.
• 57:13
Speaker 3: It looks like he got a leftover thing from a
• 57:16
Speaker 3: Samoa Joe's Twisted Metal TV show and turned into a vehicle.
• 57:20
Speaker 3: But I'm taking Perry as well because of that, and
• 57:22
Speaker 3: also I just watched nine of two and oh and
• 57:24
Speaker 3: his dad was on it, So I'll take Jack Perry.
• 57:26
Speaker 2: Next match is Will Osprey taken on Kyle Fletcher, Doctor Tree.
• 57:29
Speaker 2: Who do you like? In this one?
• 57:30
Speaker 3: I'm taking will Osprey to beat the fake as Eminem,
• 57:34
  Speaker 3: So yeah, I.
• 57:35
Speaker 2: Am taking Will Ospray as well. And then the main
• 57:37
Speaker 2: event here, John Moxley defends the aw World Champions against
• 57:40
Speaker 2: Orange Cassidy. Decent build, decent feud. I'd like the character
• 57:44
Speaker 2: development of Orange Cassidy, the John Moxley Death Riders storyline,
• 57:49
Speaker 2: I'm starting to potentially lose interest in. With that said,
• 57:54
Speaker 2: I am going to take John Moxley in this one.
• 57:57
Speaker 3: I'm taking Moxley as well, because Orange Cassie's stood up,
• 58:00
Speaker 3: uh in put his hands in his pocket to close
• 58:04
Speaker 3: out Dynamite or was it that Mite, So he's showing
• 58:08
Speaker 3: his uh, you know, fu to the man, so to speak.
• 58:11
Speaker 3: But I'm taking Moxie because as much as we love
• 58:13
Speaker 3: Morenge Cassidy, he's not the biggest baby face in the company,
• 58:16
Speaker 3: and we got to get to the death writers against
• 58:18
Speaker 3: the bigger baby faces.
• 58:20
Speaker 1: Uh So I'm taking Moxley to Weather.
• 58:23
Speaker 3: And why the hell did we have Claudia beat the
• 58:24
Speaker 3: hell out of Darby Allen last week as well?
• 58:26
  Speaker 1: I don't I don't get that.
• 58:27
Speaker 2: Uh you just brought up like the top baby faces.
• 58:30
Speaker 2: I would figure the next guy in line would be
• 58:32
Speaker 2: Darby Allen. And I was just gonna. I was thinking
• 58:34
Speaker 2: the same stuff, like why is Darby getting jobbed out
• 58:37
Speaker 2: hard to Claudia Castagnulli right now?
• 58:40
Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean to me, I get I mean, if
• 58:42
Speaker 3: I'm going off top baby faces, it's Swerve and Ospray
• 58:44
Speaker 3: and Swerves feeding with a new a new stable that
• 58:48
Speaker 3: just showed up. Ospray's you with another stable, and we
• 58:51
Speaker 3: have another stable over here that basically is going up
• 58:54
Speaker 3: against the upper middle card of aw right now, and
• 58:57
Speaker 3: they're supposed to be the biggest storyline, so I don't
• 58:59
Speaker 3: get it. So I I just assume that after this
• 59:01
Speaker 3: we're moving on to bigger and better things with the
• 59:03
Speaker 3: death writers other because I do feel like Moxley is
• 59:06
Speaker 3: kind of running the show right now.
• 59:08
Speaker 2: So with that said, we will recap review full Gear,
• 59:10
Speaker 2: we will preven predictivity, we surviviseries, war games all on
• 59:14

• 59:26

• 59:28
Speaker 2: will be recording early next week, probably not going to
• 59:31
