Morning — May 31 — Genesis 32:28
Then the man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with men, and you have prevailed.” — Genesis 32:28Jacob wrestled all night and came out with a new name—Israel, prince with God. But let us be clear: Jacob did not win because he was stronger. He prevailed because he held on by faith, clinging to the promise. The blessing did not come because Jacob overpowered God, but because God allows Himself to be found by those who will not let go. When we wrestle with God in prayer, we do not twist His arm—we cling to His promises until He blesses.
